It wasn’t unknown to any of the avengers that you liked someone but what they didn’t know was that someone is Kate Bishop.
It was a little bit of a shock that they haven’t found out yet. With your constant flirting, and teasing banter. You’d think the earth's mightiest heroes would’ve figured that one out.
Now whilst you two got along fairly well, you had your moments. The two of you would be seen having arguments over the silliest of things. Either you being late for an important meeting or Kate forgetting to pick up her arrows after training.
What, both you, and the rest of the Avengers didn’t seem to know was that Kate also reciprocated the feelings you had for her.
The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky of New York, peaking through the blinds of the room that you were sleeping in. Your eyes fluttered open, face scrunching as you were met by the morning light beaming onto your face.
Rubbing the sleep from your eyes you roll onto your back and raise your arms above your head to stretch out your limbs, releasing a content sigh as you do so.
From outside your window there was the faint sound of birds chirping away; however it was soon drowned out by the noise of someone relentlessly knocking on your door.
Slowly, you turned onto your side so you could look at your phone. The time read 5:36. Groaning ever so slightly you make your way up and out of bed.
The constant knocking on your door never falters for a second and as you open the door you’re nearly hit in the head by someone’s hand. That someone is Kate Bishop.
“Why are you knocking on my door at half five in the morning?” You ask as you rub the sleep out of your eyes.
“We have a meeting.”
“And you couldn’t have gotten Friday to tell me?”
“And miss you looking like this?” Kate smirked teasingly. “No chance.”
Looking down you soon realise you’re only in a sports bra and some shorts.
“Funny.” You deadpan. “What time is the meeting?”
“Oh, it’s not till ten.” Kate smiled with a shrug of her shoulders.
You took a quick breath before replying.
“So you decided to wake me up 5 hours beforehand?”
“Yeah, y’know, cause you’re always late.”
“God sake.” You mutter. “I’m not in the mood to argue right now so thanks for waking me up.”
“It’s not a problem.” Kate smiled.
Deciding not to respond you let out a sarcastic smile before slamming the door on Kate's face, practically knocking her over with the sheer force of it.
As you walk back into your room, deciding to go get ready for a little workout, you hear Kate chuckling as she walks down the hall and away from your room.
After your workout it was around 7, so you decided that after a shower you would go and get some breakfast.
As you walked into the kitchen you saw Natasha and Clint sitting on the countertops enjoying their breakfast.
“Morning.” Clint said as he took a bite of his toast.
You sent the archer a small nod of acknowledgment before opening the fridge looking for some eggs.
“What’s up your ass this morning?” Natasha asked with a chuckle.
“Sorry, just a little tired.” You apologise as you start to make scrambled eggs on toast.
“Why’s that?” Clint questioned.
“Kate thought it’d be funny to wake me up at half five in the morning saying we’ve got a meeting only to tell me that it’s at ten.”
The two ex-assassins both laughed at the reason as to why you were in a little mood.
“Still not a morning person I see.” Tony said as he walked into the kitchen and patted you on the shoulder before moving to make some coffee.
“Oh she’s definitely not.” Natasha chuckled.
“Just because you get up at five everyday doesn’t mean other people do.”
The four of you continued to converse when you were interrupted by Friday's voice coming from the speakers.
“Mr, Rogers requests y/n in the meeting room.”
“Why is she speaking like she’s from the 1800s?”
“Just go.” The three of them collectively groaned.
“Alright, alright, I’m going.” You said as you held up your hands in defence and backed out of the kitchen.
You stood outside of the meeting room. Quickly patting yourself down to make yourself look presentable, you walked into the room.
Steve was standing at the end of the table waiting for you to sit down. Behind him was a whiteboard with loads of drawings and a tv showing what looked like an abandoned warehouse.
“What’s up, Cap?”
“We’re just waiting for someone else then we can start.”
And right on que Kate walked into the room.
“Great.” You muttered as you took a quick glance at the woman before putting your focus on Steve.
“You two have a mission together.” Steve started. “It’s a stakeout for a week in France.”
“Ooh romantic.” Kate teased.
“Try to keep your hands to yourself Bishop.” You smirked.
“It’ll be hard, but I like a challenge.”
“Right.” Steve coughed. “It shouldn’t be too hard, just observing, figuring out their day to day schedule before you go in and shut them down.”
“Just the two of us?” Kate asked. “You want the two of us to shut down a massive corporation?”
“Doubt my skills, Bishop?” You questioned as you leaned back in your chair.
“You two are the best for the job.” Steve said. “No complaints.”
“When do we leave?”
“Tomorrow.”
“Anything else we should know?” Kate asked.
“Oh yeah, you’re married.”
“What?!” You both shouted at the same time.
“It’s only for a week. I’ll give you a bag full of what is needed for the mission. All you need to worry about is your backstory.”
“Cmon then Mrs. y/l/n.” You joked as you stood up from your seat.
“No, no, no, you’re definitely taking my last name.”
“Oh really?”
“Yup. It sounds better.”
“Unfortunately, Kate. You’ve got to take y/n’s last name for this mission.” Steve said.
“That's not fair.” Kate exclaimed.
“Hey! You never know, you may want to keep it.” You teased.
“In your dreams.”
It was 6:30 the next day and you were waiting for Kate by the Quinjet. You had already placed your things in the jet along with the equipment given to you by Steve.
The sun was just about peaking through the clouds that loomed in the sky. Small droplets of rain began to fall and Kate's figure could be seen walking towards you.
“Looks like I’m not the late one this time.” You smiled as Kate placed her things in the jet alongside yours.
“Don't get used to it.”
“You ready to spend a week with me in the city of love?” You joked as you sat in the cockpit of the Quinjet, placing a headset on before starting up the jet.
“Try not to get too excited.” Kate smirked as she sat beside you and placed a headset on too.
“Just try not to fall in love with me.”
“I’ll try my best.” Kate chuckled.
It took the two of you seven and a half hours to reach France. Steve had given you a location to land the quinjet so you would have to drive to the hotel you were staying at.
What shocked you was the car. It was a Rolls Royce Phantom Extended II. The beautiful car confused you. Why were you given such luxury for a mission?
Once everything was placed in the car you and Kate had a little rummage through the bag Steve had provided.
“I found our rings.” Kate said as she held up two small boxes.
“May I do the honours?” You asked as you took a box from her hand.
“Of course.” Kate chuckled.
Laughing as well, you got down on one knee and opened the box up to reveal the ring inside.
“Kate Bishop, would you do the honours of making me the happiest person on the planet and marry me?”
“A thousand times yes!”
The two of you continued to laugh as you slipped the ring onto Kate's finger and she did the same to you.
“We look pretty good together, if I do say so myself.” Kate said as she admired the ring on her finger with a small blush adorning her cheeks.
“Already falling for me, Bishop?” You asked.
“You wish.”
“Let's go find our hotel.”
“I’m driving!” Kate shouted as she went to open the driver's side door.
“No way! You can barely drive a bike let alone a car.” You said as you followed behind her.
“That's a low blow.” Kate said as she turned around to face you, still trying to open the door.
“It’s not my fault you crashed into the only bush nearby.”
“I tried to swerve a snail.”
“Mhm.” You hummed as you moved closer to Kate. “I’m still driving.”
“None of us will be, I can't get the door open.”
You didn't say anything, just holding up the car keys in your hand. Kate huffed knowing she wasn't going to be able to drive.
“It was cute seeing you try.” You said as you stood in front of Kate, her back leaning against the car. Your bodies only mere inches apart.
“Keep it in your pants, y/l/n.”
“Oh? I’m y/l/n now? What happened to me having your last name?”
“You’ve got to earn it.”
“Alright, I like a challenge.” You said. “What do I have to do?”
“Let me drive.”
“No chance.”
“It was worth a shot.”
“Get in the car.” You chuckled as you moved out of Kate's way.
The drive to the hotel was around twenty minutes. During that time you and Kate thought of a backstory for the two of you, just the basics for a stakeout like the one you were doing.
You drove the car up to the hotel and to yours and Kate's surprisement, it was one of the fanciest places you have seen.
“Holy-” Kate gasped. “This place is- Wow-”
The two of you were approached by valet parking and you were kindly helped out with your bags. You both took a hold of your suitcases and wheeled your luggage into the lobby of the hotel.
“I feel very out of place.” You muttered as you looked around you.
“Same here.” Kate whispered back.
You both made your way to the front desk where you were greeted by the receptionist.
“Welcome to The Peninsula Paris, how can I help you today?”
“We have a reservation booked.” You said as you looked at Kate and intertwined your hands. “It’s under the name y/l/n.”
“You booked the Suite, is that correct?”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Your room is on the fifth floor, room number 116.” The lady said as she slid two key cards towards you and Kate. “Breakfast is from 7am to 11am everyday in the Le Lobby. Lunch is from 11:30am till 3pm in the same place and whilst you can get dinner from there too at 4pm till 12am you can also access the Le Rooftop.”
“Thank you so much.” You smiled as you took your key cards and handed one to Kate.
“Have a wonderful stay.”
The two of you walked over to the elevator and waited for it to come back to your level. The doors opened and you both walked inside. Pressing the fifth floor, the doors close again and the elevator begins to go up.
“This place is so fancy.” Kate said as she ran her fingers along the elevator wall.
“It’s beautiful.” You agreed.
The elevator doors opened and you were greeted by an extravagant hallway leading to your suite. The two of you walked down and to your room.
“You want to open it?” You asked as the two of you stood outside the door to your room.
“Can I?”
“Go ahead.”
Kate used her key card on the door and opened it to show the suite where the two of you would be staying in for a week.
“Why did Steve book us such a lovely place?” Kate questioned as she walked inside the Suite.
You trailed closely behind, carrying all the bags with you. Letting Kate walk off to discover everything the room has to offer, you set up the equipment Steve gave you.
In the bag Steve had given you there were some folders full of information all about what you and Kate were going up against. One contained bits and pieces of what was going on the other contained information about the building you were needed to watch over.
“Uh, y/n.” Kate said as she came back to where you were.
“What's up?”
“There's a bit of a problem.”
“You okay?”
“Follow me.” Kate said as she walked away and into another room.
You followed closely behind and as you walked into the room as well you were met with the problem Kate was talking about.
“There's only one bed.” Kate pointed out as she looked back at you.
“And that's a problem, how?” You asked as you leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed.
“Where are you going to sleep?” Kate questioned as she raised her hands into the air.
“Me?” You laughed as you pushed yourself off the doorframe, eyebrows raising in question. “The bed is big enough for the two of us.”
“But-”
“What are you so scared of, Bishop?” You made your way closer to Kate, walking her backwards so her legs hit the edge of the bed. You held onto her arms so she didn’t fall back, causing the space between the two of you to become miniscule.
“Nothing.”
“So it won't matter if we share a bed?”
“No.”
“Good.”
“Good.” Kate repeated.
“I’m going to go for a shower and get changed into something more fancy.”
“Why?”
“I’m going to take you out for dinner.”
“But we’re meant to be doing a mission?”
“What Steve doesn't know, won't hurt him. Plus we have a whole week in Paris and I'd like to make the most of it.” You said as you got your toiletries and made your way into the bathroom.
“I-”
“Stop questioning everything.” You smiled. “We’re still doing the mission but we don't want to make ourselves suspicious on the first night, do we?”
“No.”
“Now, I’m going for a shower and once I’m done you can get in after. Unless you want to join me?”
“Tempting, but I’ll have to wait for another time.”
“Your loss.” You teased as you backed up into the bathroom before turning on the shower. You waited a little while for the perfect temperature before getting in. You didn't spend long in the shower before getting out and letting Kate go in.
“Your turn.” You said as you walked past the archer who was sitting on the bed, scrolling through her phone.
Kate looked up from her phone and was unable to take her eyes off you. Standing in the middle of the room in nothing but a towel, wet hair cascading down your back, droplets of water falling off your face.
Realising she had been ogling for a little too long, Kate snapped out her trance and made her way to the bathroom trying to ignore the feeling of her cheeks heating up and your knowing stare following after her.
Chuckling to yourself you got ready as Kate took her time to shower. You put on a pair of black slacks and a white shirt, unbuttoning the first couple of buttons so you could just about see your black lace bralette.
Feeling content about your outfit you just put on some socks and black shoes as you waited for Kate to finish up in the shower.
As you were looking through your suitcase for some perfume, Kate walked out of the bathroom and it was your turn to stare at the woman's beauty. Just like Kate was, you were in a trance.
Snapping yourself back to reality, where the dirtier thoughts were at bay, you turned to fully face the woman in the room with you. You smirked slightly as you saw Kate blush and cower slightly under your intense stare.
“I just need to get ready.” Kate said as she nodded towards her outfit that was on top of her suitcase.
“Don't let me being in here stop you from getting dressed.”
“y/n.” Kate said.
“Kate.” You responded.
“You're gonna have to wait a little while longer if you want a show.”
“Fine.” You mumbled as you walked towards Kate. Standing in front of the woman, you ran your fingers up and down her arms, watching as her hairs stood up on edge. “Maybe later.”
“In your dreams, y/l/n.”
“Don't be too long, we’ve got reservations at 5.”
“We still have half an hour.”
“Better hurry up then.” You smirked as you walked out of the bedroom, closing the door behind you and sat on the sofa in the main area of the suite.
Before you knew it, Kate was already dressed and ready to go. She caught your attention by opening the bedroom door, making you look up from your phone. She stood by the door in a black pantsuit, looking absolutely stunning.
Standing up from your seat, you patted yourself down and walked your way closer to Kate.
“You look breathtaking.” You said, your voice just coming out above a whisper.
“Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself.”
“You ready to go?”
“Lead the way.”
The two of you walked out of your room and to the elevator. Pressing the button for the rooftop, you both waited in a comfortable silence until the elevator came to a stop.
Letting Kate out first, you placed your hand at the small of her back and guided her where to go.
You were quickly greeted by a waiter, who then led the two of you to your seats. You pulled out Kate's chair and made sure she was comfortable before you sat down.
“Such a gentlewoman.” Kate teased.
“And people say romance is dead.” You chuckled as you handed Kate a menu.
“How foolish of them.” Kate smiled as she placed her hand atop yours.
Smiling towards the archer you turned your hand over so you could properly hold her hand. That action alone was enough to make the both of you blush.
“We make a pretty good couple.” Kate whispered.
“Simply the best.”
The two of you sat in a comfortable silence, taking in the beauty of Paris at night. The Eiffel Tower shone brightly in contrast to the night sky.
Kate tried to take in everything, her head darting around at the scenery. Pointing out small details that she could see or anything that would bring even a tiny smile to her face.
“It really is beautiful.” Kate said as she focused on the Eiffel Tower.
“So beautiful.” You muttered, instead you weren't looking at the view per se you were looking at Kate.
“Bonjour.” The waiter greeted. “What can I get for you this evening?”
The dinner was lovely, both you and Kate had a wonderful time but unfortunately it had to come to an end. The two of you were finishing up dessert when you caught something out of the corner of your eye.
Being as subtle as possible you managed to figure out what was going on. Two men, dressed in well made suits, looked like they were up to no good. Tapping Kate's hand, you gestured over her shoulder at the two men.
“They’re the people we’re here for.” You whispered.
“What are they doing up here?” Kate questioned.
“I don't know, but I think we should find out.”
Standing up, the two of you quickly made your way to where the two men were. Looking around, you couldn’t find them anywhere.
“Where could they have gone?” Kate asked.
Just on que the two men came back into view, only this time much closer. Thinking quickly you pushed Kate to a nearby wall and placed your lips on hers.
Eyes wide open in shock, it took a little while for Kate to relax into the kiss. It wasn't how either of you wanted to have your first kiss with each other but it was better than being caught.
Once the two men were finally out of sight, you pulled away from a very flustered looking Kate. Her hair standing in all different directions, her chest heaving up and down as she tried to regulate her breathing. But to you she still looked like a goddess.
“I think they went that way.” You said as you pointed down a hallway.
Not being able to speak, Kate only nodded and the two of you took off in the direction of the men.
The both of you somehow ended up in the kitchens where all the chefs were preparing everyone's food. Everyone dressed in white except the two men who were just about seen leaving through the back door.
Still hot on their tail, you and Kate were walking behind them until they suddenly turned around.
Thinking fast, you pulled Kate into what seemed to be a broom cupboard. Both your bodies pressed up against each other, chests rising and falling at the same time.
As Kate was going to talk the voices of the two men got closer and closer so you gently placed a hand over her mouth and you leaned in so your mouth was by her ear.
“Don’t make a sound.” You whispered. Pulling back slightly, you saw Kate nod.
You don't know how long the two of you were in the broom cupboard for but it felt like a lifetime. Every bone in your body screaming at you to make some form of a move.
“I think we should call it a night.” Kate mumbled against your hand.
“Yeah, we have all week to catch them.”
Stumbling out of the broom cupboard, you both make your way back to your suite. The once comfortable silence was replaced with one of uncertainty, that and due to the fact that there was a massive elephant in the room, which neither of you were ready to bring up.
Trailing back into your suite you let Kate get ready for bed before yourself. Whilst Kate was doing her nightly routine you were checking over all the small pieces of information on the two men that you had spotted earlier.
“Found anything interesting?” Kate asked as she came out of the room in her pyjamas which consisted of one of your old t-shirts and a pair of shorts.
“Nice top.” You smirked. “I must admit, it looks better on you than it ever did on me.”
“It looked comfy.” Kate shrugged as she sat beside you on the sofa, knees brushing against each other.
“The two guys we spotted earlier are the main thugs we need to catch.” You said, pointing to a file which consisted of all the gang members. “They are the ones running the whole operation.”
“And what is that exactly?”
“In their words, human extinction, in mine, a tiny weapon that could blow up a building at max.”
“So why are we exactly doing a stakeout mission for something as small as that?”
“Steve is just worried that they could be building something bigger.”
“If he’s so worried, why isn't he on this mission?”
“That would be Nat’s doing.” You mumbled as you fiddled with a crumpled post it note.
“I’m lost.” Kate said, tilting her head to the side in confusion.
“It's nothing you need to worry about.” You smiled as you patted your hands on your knees before standing up. “I’m going to get ready for bed.”
“Oh, okay.” Kate said. “How long will you be?”
“Not long, don’t worry. You can even go to bed now, I'll change in the bathroom. There's no reason for you to wait for me.”
And with that, you left Kate on her own whilst you grabbed your things before getting ready for bed. After having a quick shower, brushing your teeth and putting on your pyjamas, you were ready for bed.
Sighing to yourself quietly you thought back to what Natasha wrote on the post it note that she had stuck in one of the folders. You uncrumpled the tiny piece of yellow paper and re-read what was written down.
‘Have fun spending a week in the city of love with the love of your life. It doesn't matter if you don't complete the mission, Clint and I are staying in a different hotel doing the same thing. I just made Steve send the two of you to have some quality time together. If you know what i mean ;)
You don’t actually have to do the mission, Clint and I have it handled. Just enjoy your time in Paris and maybe you’ll come home with a girlfriend. You may hate me now, but you’ll thank me later.
Your favourite person in the whole wide world, Nat’
Turning off the bathroom light as you walked out, closing the door behind you. You saw Kate sitting up against the headboard of the bed scrolling through her phone. Sending her a smile you placed your things on top of your suitcase and slid into bed beside her.
Turning off her phone and placing it on her nightstand, Kate got herself comfortable under the covers. You put your phone on charge and did the same thing by making sure you and Kate both had enough covers to keep you warm.
The two of you were facing each other on your sides. You leaning on your right with Kate leaning on her left. You both didn't say anything, just basking in the silence that surrounded the two of you.
“I feel like we should talk about what happened.” Kate whispered, trying not to break whatever atmosphere that was created.
“Which part?” You responded.
“The kiss.” Kate said, getting straight to the point.
“Right.” You coughed. “What about it?”
“Why’d you do it?”
“Uh, we would’ve got caught by those guys.”
“Was it really necessary for you to push me up against a wall and kiss me?”
“I’m sorry if I overstepped any boundaries but I didn't want to mess up the mission on the first night.”
“No, no, you're all good. I’m just a little confused that's all.”
“What's there to be confused about?”
“Nothing, don’t worry. We should get some sleep.”
“Right. Yeah.” You trailed off. “Goodnight.”
“Night.”
You don't know when you fell asleep but you were awoken by a heavy weight on top of you. Looking down you saw Kate cuddled into your chest. Trying not to wake her, reaching over to the nightstand you grab your phone.
The time read 8:23. It was still early so you decided to stay how you were and let Kate sleep for a little while longer. Your mind kept thinking back to the note Natasha had slipped into one of the folders. Deciding to do something about it you text Nat.

As soon as you stopped texting Nat, Kate's body started to shift, her eyes fluttering open as she adjusted to the sun beaming through the curtains.
“Morning.” You whispered.
“I’m sorry, you must’ve been uncomfy.” Kate said as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and gently moved off of you.
“It’s alright. You looked peaceful and i didnt want to wake you up.”
“How long have you been awake?”
“Not long, maybe ten minutes or so.”
“Have you figured out anything else about those guys yesterday?”
“About that.” You coughed, shifting around a little. “Steve called and said that they were caught last night after we went back up to our room.”
“That's good then.” Kate said, trying to sound happy but it came out as somewhat dejected. “We get to go home, atleast.”
“Or, Steve- um, Steve said we could spend the rest of the week in Paris?”
“What could we do?”
“Anything, anything yo- we want.” You smiled.
“Can we go to the Louvre?”
“I didn't paint you to like artwork, Miss Bishop.”
“Nice pun and its Mrs. y/l/n to you.”
“We’re no longer doing the mission so i’m taking that as you like me and want to marry me.” You teased as you made your way out of bed.
“No, absolutely not.” Kate said as she scrambled out of the bed.
“Mhm, you love me.” You smirked, dragging out the ‘o’ in love and walking towards the archer.
“Maybe we can use it to our advantage?”
“What? You being in love with me?” You asked, tilting your head slightly as you closed the proximity between the two of you.
“No, well as an act. We’ve got the rings. We can act like we’re married and get all sorts of benefits.”
“I like your thinking Mrs. y/l/n.”
“Thank you Mrs. y/l/n. I can't wait for all the free dessert.”
“Don't get too ahead of yourself.” You chuckled. “We may only be congratulated.”
“Don’t be such a party pooper. We will get everything for free.” Kate shouted as she let a childish grin take place across her features.
A couple days went by and everything was perfect. You and Kate were getting on immensely well. You even thought about admitting your feelings a couple of times but it suddenly started to go downhill.
After a lovely day walking around the streets of Paris, seeing what the beautiful city had to offer, Kate became more and more distant. You thought nothing of it so you decided that she may sleep whatever she was feeling off.
You were wrong.
It was the next morning and you were already up and out of bed. Leaving Kate to sleep in, like most mornings, you ordered some breakfast. Nothing too fancy, just something to fill you up.
When room service came knocking on your door you quietly welcomed them in to set everything up for you and Kate. They were quick to put all the plates of food out and they were out within a second.
Walking back into the bedroom you gently sat down next to Kate and slowly tried to wake her up. Running your fingers through her hair softly, you whispered her name a couple of times before she finally woke up.
“Hey, sleepy head. I got us some breakfast.”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll get up in a bit.” Kate grumbled.
“Hurry up otherwise it will get cold.”
Walking back out of the bedroom and to your food, you sat down on the sofa with your breakfast. The tv playing friends on a low volume seemed to fit perfectly with the cold, autumn atmosphere outside.
Kate stumbled out of the bedroom, gathering her breakfast before sitting down beside you. The archer had stolen another one of your t-shirts but you couldn't complain when it brought you a warm, fluttering feeling inside.
The two of you sat in a comfortable silence as you both watched Monica get her head stuck in a turkey.
As the episode went on you started to notice Kate shift more and more. Quickly picking up on the fact that she's actively avoiding any eye contact and she’s slowly making her way to the other end of the sofa, a lot further away from you.
It hurt a little, not knowing why Kate was acting like this, but there must be some logical explanation behind it, right?
“Kate?” You asked, making Kate hum in acknowledgement, still not looking you in the eye. “What up? You’ve been acting funny all morning.”
“Nothing's up. I’m perfectly fine, perfectly normal.”
“C’mon Kate, you can tell me anything.”
“I said I was fine! Can't you just drop it?” Kate said and she suddenly raised her voice, standing up, running her hand through her hair.
“Woah, okay, no need to get all defensive.” You said, standing up as well.
“No need to be asking all those questions.” Kate fired back.
“I was just trying to make sure you're okay?” You replied. “I don't get why you're acting like this.”
“Because you're suffocating me y/n! God!” Kate shouted, starting to pace around the suite.
“Suffocating you? How?!” You respond, gobsmacked.
“You're everywhere. You're around me twenty-four seven, you won't even let me have my own thoughts! Youre in my god damn dreams for fuck sake!”
“That's what this is about?” You said, turning your head to look at Kate properly as she stood to your side. “You dream about me? You constantly think about me?”
Stopping in her tracks, Kate realises she had slipped up. Exhaling a shaky breath, trying to calm herself down, she straightens up her posture and looks directly in your eyes.
“What is it to you?”
“Tell me.” You said as you slowly walked towards Kate, making her back up until she eventually felt her back hit a wall behind her.
There was nowhere to go, she was stuck between you and a wall, your perfume surrounding her senses. You felt so intoxicating and Kate loved it.
“What?”
“Tell me what you dreamed about. Tell me why I'm always on your mind.”
The close proximity between the two of you was sending Kate’s mind into a frenzy, struggling to get her mouth to form any words, she bows her head down, embarrassed.
Gently placing a hand underneath her chin, you use your forefinger and thumb to lift her head back up so she is facing you again.
“Look at me.” You whispered, your voice coming out gently but it still had a demanding back bone to it. “Tell me why.”
“I can't,” Kate stammered.
“If you tell me, I might make it happen.”
“Y/n, please, i can’t-”
“You can. I know you can.”
“I’ve had the same dream every night since we kissed in that corridor trying to catch those guys.”
“Keep going.”
“It always starts and ends the same. Just like we were, chasing those men to you pushing me up against that wall and kissing me.”
“Anything else?”
“No.” Kate whispered shakily.
“No?” You questioned, head tilting as you leaned close to her ear. “There's more, isn't there?”
“Yes.” Kate mutters, cursing herself for feeling this way, easily giving into you. “When you pulled me into the broom cupboard you didn't tell me to be quiet in the way that if we were caught the men would find us instead it was so no one found us.”
“Oh?”
Kate’s breathing was erratic, her heart practically beating out of her chest.
“What are you doing to me y/n?” Kate asked. “I can hardly function around you.”
“Same with me, you’ve got me hooked.” You whispered as you ghosted your lips over the woman in front of you.
Neither of you moved. It was like a stalemate waiting for the other to move before you, unsure of what their action would be.
“I really want to kiss you.” Kate muttered.
“I really want to kiss you too.”
“So do it.”
That was all you needed to hear. Serging forward you crash your lips against hers. The kiss was slow and passionate before it turned into one of want and need very quickly. Your hands took a hold of Kate’s waist and pulled her into you.
Kate wrapped her arms around your shoulders, hand tangling in your hair. Testing the waters a little, you pushed your knee between her thighs. Unexpectedly, Kate let out a soft moan at the sensation.
The kiss broke naturally, leaving pecks as you moved your face away from Kates. The archer was almost sitting on your thigh at this point, her whole body weight leaning on yours.
The two of you smiled at each other, not really knowing what else to do, just enjoying the atmosphere you had created.
“I really like you.” You said softly.
“I really like you too.” Kate replied with a smile. “What does this make us?”
“Whatever you want us to be.”
“I want us to be girlfriends.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay.” You beamed. Backing away from Kate slightly you got down on one knee and looked up into her eyes. “Kate Bishop, will you be my girlfriend?”
“Of course.” Kate chuckled as she placed both her hands on your cheeks to bring you back up so you were face to face. “You're a dork.”
“Yeah, but I'm your dork.” You smiled as you placed a kiss on Kate's lips.
“That was very cheesy.”
“Yeah it kinda made me want to throw up.”
“Oh no! Get a medic.” Kate chuckled.
“C’mon let's continue watching friends, this time we can cuddle instead of you practically falling off the sofa to get away from me.”
“Ha ha ha, very funny.”
Chuckling between yourselves, you lifted Kate up making her squeal and you carried her to the sofa before sitting down with her in your lap.
“This is much better.” Kate whispered as she snuggled into your side.
“So much better.”
