Can you do most likely to be babied as they suck your boobs please?
Oh goodie! It’s definitely Chan, Hyunjin, Han, and Felix!
——————————————————————
Babied ❣️
MDNI !!! Smut ahead!
(No specific order)
Chan
At first Chan would be a little thrown off but plays along at first. But if your sitting on his lap, riding him as he sucks on your perky nipples, he will fall apart and eventually submit to you.
Tumblr media
Bouncing on his cock had Chan losing himself to lust. He’s been so needy all day and couldn’t wait for you to come and please him.
At first he was just holding your hips but eventually you took his hair and pulled him towards your chest where he instantly latched on. After a minute of sucking on your soft skin, you began to lightly moan your hips, making the man groan a bit.
“Aw, is my baby needy? Does he like sucking on my boobs?” You say almost teasingly.
“Ohh pobrecito (poor baby or poor little cute boy)”
Chan was blushing, saying nothing as he was lightly embarrassed but also moaned when you moved your hips again.
You held his head in a gently embrace as he sucked on your nipple. Something about the way you gently held him made him feel so at ease and he loved it.
Hyunjin
This boy loves to be praised! So if he’s sucking on your boobs while you give praise and stoke his hair he will become putty in your hands. He’ll even whine if you pull away from and shamelessly beg for your boobs again.
Tumblr media
After sucking him off —and making him cum like 3 times— you finally let him play with your breasts. He was exhausted and practically laid on top of you as he kissed and groped you.
You were stroking his hair as he harshly sucked on your nipple.
“What a pretty boy you are, Jinnie.” You said while moving some hair from his face. “Just my cute baby huh?”
Hyunjin’s heart was racing as you started showering him with praise. He couldn’t help moving his hips a little to get some friction.
“Who’s my sweet baby boy?” You ask while pulling his head up, separating his mouth from your spit covered breast.
“Ah—!” He whined, trying to get back to it. “Mommy I—”
Now it wasn’t very often that he called you mommy but you knew that when he did, he was definitely drunk on sex.
“Jinnie, Who’s my sweet baby boy?” You repeated as he looked like he was going to cry.
“Me! I’m baby boy!” He quickly babbled. “Mommy- Im baby boy! I want! Want—!”
He couldn’t seem to string together a coherent sentence and you thought it was adorable so you let go of him, only for him to go right back to harshly sucking on your soft skin.
You continued to stroke his hair until he practically fell asleep.
Han
He says he doesn’t like it but secretly he does. There’s just something so satisfying and nurturing about it. He loves the feeling as you gingerly touch him and say words of praise, telling him he’s a good baby boy and all… and then he’ll deny it again later
Tumblr media
Han let out an annoyed whine as you teased him, calling him a silly baby and all.
“Noona… ‘m not a baby-…” he muttered against your skin before continuing to suck on your nipple and pinching the other.
“Oh really?” You teased. “And yet you’re sucking on me like one.”
He groaned a bit as you stroked his length over his boxers. You were actually surprised they were still on, considering how wet they were.
“Agh- noona-!” He squeaked as you lightly held on to his length over the material and started moving a bit. You could feel his body getting more tense as you moved your hand and his soft moans against your breast.
“Aw my poor baby~” you teased. “Just like noona touching you as you suck on her boobs? You want more baby? Does my baby boy want more?”
Han was having a hard time thinking straight as you pumped your hand faster. You could feel his constant breathy moans over you skin and his cock was hard and twitched.
“Cum for me, baby.” You said while your hand was in his hair. “I want my dumb baby to cum in his boxers, can you do that?”
He released with a high pitched more, only panting against your chest as he tried recovering.
“Again… again…” he gasped while face pressed against your chest. “Baby boy…: baby boy wants more…”
Felix
He’s very shameless about it. He loves when you baby him. That’s all he wants after a stressful day. You find it so cute when he desperately whimpers as if begging you to do it.
Tumblr media
After a quite stressful day, Felix would go right up to you and tug at your shirt. You knew what he wanted and could tell he was exhausted so you removed your shirt and bra before sitting on the bed, back leaning against the headboard.
“Mommy pleeease~” he was Impatient and whined as he got on all fours in front of you.
“What a greedy baby you are are, Lixie.” You added as he pulled his own shirt off and got close.
He didn’t even use his hands, instead just going in, littering kisses on the soft flesh before sucking harshly.
“Looks like my sweet boy is needy, huh?”
“Baby! Im baby boy…” he added while still attached to your skin. You giggled and stocked his hair as he whined and whimpered.
“My mistake.” You teased. “You’re mommy’s sweet baby boy.”
He was content with that as you held onto him, a hug that was more like a hold. It made him relax and you could feel the exhaustion he had. So you stayed put. Letting suck on your breasts while holding him gingerly and giving small kisses on his head.

seven dates to fall in love
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part two. part three. part four.
pairing : hyunjin x gn!reader
summary : after a two year long unspoken hatred, hyunjin and you are forced to be costars in a romantic series, but when it comes to filming any of the romance scenes, you both utterly fail and are unable to get through your lines. the director threatens to take your roles away if you two aren't able to get past this within the next week, which spawns the genius idea from both your managers: can you learn to (fake) fall in love in seven dates and save your careers?
wc : 4.3k
cw : actor!au, enemies to lovers ?!, slowburn (?!), cursing, one gorey joke thing, arguing, they;re each other's biggest haters, let me know if i missed anything !!
a/n : this is part one of a possible mini series! not sure how many parts this will be, but let me know what you think <33!! likes, reblogs, and feedback is always appreciated. this is supposed to be an uncomfortable read so i hope i got the vibe down LMAO this is also more to set the scene/story so not much going on in this part...
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Tears rolled down your cheeks as Hyunjin cupped your face, lips trembling as your doe eyes looked into Hyunjin’s. His hands gently rested on your cheek, his palms cool to the touch in contrast to your warm tears. His eyebrows furrowed in concern as his thumb gently caressed your cheek in an attempt to soothe your broken heart, yet his eyes lacked any emotions, no love to be found behind his cold, dark eyes. His body was stiff and uncomfortable, his movements almost robotic as he tried to lean closer to your face, yet all you could do was roll your eyes and sigh, as you braced yourself for what was next.
“Cut!” yelled the director furiously, a frown painted on his face, “This is ridiculous! We are never going to finish filming if you two can’t act out a simple kiss scene with each other.”
Hyunjin and you instantly jumped away from each other, not missing the chance to glare at the other as the director chastised you both.
“You two are amazing actors, that’s why I picked you both for these roles, I’ve seen you both act these kinds of scenes before, but my god, do you two lack chemistry,” ranted the director, his face reddening in frustration, “I get you two don’t like each other, but your entire job is to act like it for a bit. If you guys can’t solve this, then one of you is getting kicked off the project and being replaced.”
The last sentence caused you both to snap your heads towards him, eyes widened in disbelief as you scoffed, “It’s not my fault he doesn’t know how to fucking act properly! He’s the one who is messing up the scenes,” pointing your finger accusingly towards Hyunjin.
Hyunjin crossed his arms defensively, venom lacing his words as he spat with incredulity, “Me? Please, I should be getting paid more for having to pretend to be in love with that face of yours.”
You turned to Hyunjin once more, your hands balling into a fist as you opened your mouth to speak, but you were quickly cut off, “Save it, I don’t have time to listen to your childish arguments anymore. I will give you guys one week to figure this out, and if you are not able to get through this scene, consider it over for one of you,” promptly spoke the director before turning to the crew, “Everyone, go home. We’ll come back in a week from now and hopefully we will have something to work with.”
As everyone began to shuffle off set, you stomped your way to the dressing room, wanting nothing more to get away from Hyunjin at that moment as a rageful fire burned inside of you. You slammed the door open as you slumped in your seat, seething as you remembered Hyunjin’s words and how unlucky you were that he had to be your costar. You sighed as your manager entered right after you, a serious look taking over his features, “Y/N…”
“I know, I know!” you groaned, rubbing your face with your hands out of frustration, “I know a lot rides on this project and I promise I am trying my best to work with him, but he makes it so difficult too!”
Your manager, Chan, gave you a sympathetic look while shaking his head, “Well, you two are going to need to get over your differences somehow. This will look really bad for you if you get kicked off and you will be less likely to get any other roles in the future,” he murmured, “I will… talk to Hyunjin’s manager and see if we can figure something out, okay?”
You removed your hands from your face, your apologetic eyes meeting Chan’s, “I’m sorry, he just really knows how to get under my skin.”
“It’s alright, we’ll work something out. I’m not letting you lose this opportunity,” he promised before stepping out of the room, presumably to meet Hyunjin’s manager.
Sighing once more, you recalled the day you met Hyunjin on the set of another project two years ago. Initially, you both seemed to get along really well with each other and had great chemistry on camera, as you each were playing two side characters that had a small romance flourishing in the film. Yet, somewhere along the line, your relationship with Hyunjin soured out of nowhere, him suddenly being cold with you and making snide remarks every chance he had. It created such an uncomfortable work environment, you almost considered dropping acting altogether, afraid to encounter other similar characters like him. Luckily, Chan had convinced you otherwise, reassuring you he would do everything in his power to avoid any projects with him in it and also insisting your talents would go to waste if you let one guy ruin it all. Besides, you loved acting and you were slowly making your dreams come true. Why would you ever let Hyunjin of all people ruin it for you?
Ever since then, you despised Hyunjin due to his treatment of you and whenever you did have the misfortune of running into him, you did your best to keep it curt and cordial, never lingering around too long. He seemed to be on the same page as you, but the look on his face spoke of every nasty thought he was holding back on, and you hated him for it.
And while Chan did hold up on his end of his promise, it all came crashing down at this latest project. This was an offer neither you or Hyunjin could resist, especially when the writers, producers, and director personally approached both your managers and offered the role to you directly, plopping the opportunity right in your lap. The writers really wanted you both to be the leads, believing you two were perfect for the roles and had even seen that one film project you and Hyunjin did years ago, which unfortunately set their expectations extremely high, which led to the disaster you two are currently in.
It was impossible to say no to them, especially when they went out their way to contact you, and the script was great, it seemed like something you would have so much fun filming it, yet Hyunjin was quick to suck out all the joy from it.
You tried, you really tried to be as professional as possible with Hyunjin, and filming went pretty well the first few days. In fact, it may have gone a little too well that you both left the entire staff speechless after filming an argument scene between the two main characters. So much so, that the director applauded at how real you two were able to portray the scene, even bringing him to tears as he beamed proudly at you two, assuring him that he had made the perfect casting decision. Little did anyone know, you and Hyunjin’s scripted argument was not acting at all, but was a reflection of how you felt about each other. The rageful yelling, the resentful expressions, the improvised insults, and emotions were all entirely real - there was no need for acting when you both loathed one another.
Once it was time to finally start filming the romantic elements, the prospects of this being the next greatest show was squandered instantaneously by the painful awkwardness between you and Hyunjin. And to be honest, it was mostly Hyunjin who was tripping up during these scenes, making anyone who witnessed his weak attempts of being romantic with you cringed due to how much he struggled to even look at you and treat you like a person. Every now and then, you’d find yourself breaking character, but for the most part you were able to get through your lines pretty convincingly. Although, for some reason, Hyunjin was having an incredibly difficult time completing most of his lines and struggled keeping that abhorrent scowl off his face. Yet, even though you had managed to do quite well, you were also being punished by Hyunjin’s ineptitude.
How on Earth was this supposed to all be resolved in one week? This was a two year long feud that was not simply going to disappear over the course of the week, but you knew both of you were too competitive to let this project go. Somehow, it would just have to work out, but it was a matter of how. As you lost yourself in thought, the door to the room opened once more with a nervous Chan standing at the entrance.
You raised your eyebrows in concern as you examined Chan’s anxious body language, “What happened?”
He gently closed the door behind me, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand, “So… I talked to the producers and Hyunjin’s manager…”
You nodded your head, encouraging him to continue, “Okay, go on. What did they say?”
“They’re really upset and disappointed, as they had really high expectations and now they've decided that they’ll just replace both of you if next week doesn’t go well.”
“What?!” You jumped from your seat in shock, no longer having the possible safety of remaining on the project to back you up.
“And I don’t think I need to tell you how much worse this will be for both your public images,” Chan spoke nervously, almost as if he was dreading to share the rest of the conversation with you, “So, Changbin and I spoke, and as both your managers, we think you two need to do something to get over this bump.”
Your eyes narrowed as you tried to decode Chan’s words, “Uh huh, which means what exactly…?”
“You’re really not going to like this, I’m really sorry, I tried to think of other solutions, b-”
“Please, Chan, just spit it out already.”
Chan sighed, “Well, Changbin and I think the best way you guys can learn to recreate that kind of romantic chemistry is by, well… going on dates this next week? You know, learn to get used to being romantic with each other so it's easier to act it out on camera.”
Your jaw dropped as your eyes bored into Chan’s as annoyance made its way into your body, “No, absolutely not! I want nothing to do with that man, that sounds like a terrible idea!” you exclaimed, your face contorting into a frown as your voice grew louder.
Chan lifted his hands before him in an attempt to fan the flames of your anger, “Y/N, I know, I know, but this is the best we got for now! Do you have any other better ideas?”
Your shoulders slumped in defeat as you shook your head, “No, but… That just sounds like a week of pure torture!” you whined, Chan’s face dropping into an apologetic expression.
“Just promise me you will try your best? It’s only for a week, and then all you will have to do is get through the rest of filming.”
“I guess,” you grumbled, turning your back to Chan as you ran your hands through your hair, “Let’s just hope Hyunjin isn’t too much of a pain in the ass.”
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
The next day rolled around as you waited outside of your apartment building with a miffed expression on your face, tapping your feet impatiently as you pulled out your phone to check the time.
7:10pm.
Great, Hyunjin was now ten minutes late to pick you up for your first oh-so practice dates. You felt yourself grow angrier as the minutes passed, your veins burning hot as you contemplated going back inside and calling Chan to yell at him how this idea was never going to work, but before you could, a black car with tinted windows pulled up next to you. The window on the passenger side rolled down, revealing an upset Hyunjin in the driver’s side who called out to you, “Wow, don’t look too happy to see me. Get in.”
This only made your frown deepen as you rolled your eyes, opening the car door to take a seat, “Whatever. Couldn’t even open the car door for me, huh?” you slammed the door shut, crossing your arms as you looked ahead, avoiding Hyunjin’s gaze.
He scoffed while putting the car in drive, “Now why the hell would I do that?”
“Aren’t you supposed to learn how to be all gentlemanly and shit? Isn’t this why we’re doing this?” you snapped, nails digging into your hands as you clenched them in an attempt to hold your anger in.
Hyunjin only shrugged, “Funny you think you deserve that treatment. Just shut up and let's get this over with.”
You held your tongue, resisting the urge to start another quarrel with him in this car ride to whatever restaurant Changbin reserved for you two. It was a 20 minute drive and you refused to waste your breath on some argumentative asshole, and reminded yourself that at the very least you’d be eating something delicious soon enough. The car ride was tense as neither of you dared to speak, especially after Hyunjin turned the music up to hide the deafening silence that hung in the air. As soon as you both arrived at the restaurant, you exited the car in a hurry, desperate for a breath of fresh air and some reprieve from the tension you just sat in. Unsurprisingly, Hyunjin strolled right ahead of you, not making any sort of effort to acknowledge your existence as he marched through the restaurant's front doors as soon as he exited the car, causing you to chase after him just to keep up with his long strides. Truthfully, it felt like Hyunjin was just trying to piss you off, and it was working.
Upon entering the building, you realized Changbin had definitely booked you guys an extremely upscale restaurant, which explains why he was so insistent on making sure you both dress formally. Everyone in here reeked of affluence, and while you and Hyunjin were able to afford these luxuries due to the success of your careers, you still couldn’t help but feel out of place. The other patrons were dressed similarly to you, but there was this extra layer of otherworldly riches radiating off of them. Perhaps it was their mannerism or the snobby, fake, business smiles exchanged amongst them, but something about this place was extremely unsettling.
Hyunjin approached the host with a polite smile, “Reservation for Hwang.”
The host nodded, retrieving two menus before standing in front of both of you, bowing “Mister and Mx. Hwang, please follow me this way.”
Your body physically recoiled with disgust and shock when you heard the host refer to you as Mx. Hwang, wanting to immediately correct him, yet you reminded yourself you were here on a date, so it would be best to try to immerse yourself into the role as much as you can for the sake of your career and the future of this current project. The host led you to your table, which was thankfully located in a more secluded corner of the restaurant, a small candle in the middle of it to help set the romantic mood.
You thank the host as you sat down, graciously taking the menu from his hand with a smile, which dropped into a glower as soon as the host left, “Are you not taking any of this seriously?”
Hyunjin pursed his lips, his eyes scanning the menu in his hand, “You expect me to take you seriously?”
Your jaw dropped, completely flabbergasted at his lack of concern over the situation he put you both in, “What the fuck is your problem?” you growled in a syncopated whisper, trying not to draw any attention to you, “Do you not care about the possibility of both of us losing our roles?”
Hyunjin let out another exasperated sigh, as if you were inconveniencing him, “I am trying to get through his evening with you without wanting to gouge my eyes out,” he dramatically plopped the menu down on the table, “I do care, of course I fucking care.”
“Then can you at least act like it?” you whispered angrily.
“Maybe if you would shut up-”
Before Hyunjin could finish his statement, the waiter came by with an excited and hospitable smile, “Hello, Mister and Mx. Hwang! I hope you both are having a lovely evening. I’ll be your server for the night, can I interest you guys in a bottle of wine before we get started with food?”
You smiled at the server, nodding your head, “Oh, yes, that sounds wonderful. We’ll take whichever one you recommend.”
The server nodded sweetly, blissfully unaware of the tension between the two of you, “Great! I’ll bring out one of the house favorites for you two to try, I’ll be back shortly.”
As soon as the server was out of earshot, you glared down at Hyunjin once more, gripping the menu in hand as your knuckles turned white, “I am going to pretend I didn’t hear you. Do you know what you’re going to order?” you asked, trying to at least make some sort of conversation with him.
Except, Hyunjin just hums a response as his eyes return to the menu, choosing to ignore your question as the chatter of other patrons fills the silence. You let out a heavy exhale, debating on whether you should reach over the table and slap him, play along with him, or continue trying for, once again, the sake of your careers. “Well, I’m going to get the filet mignon. I think it’ll pair nicely with the wine.”
Hyunjin continued to ignore you, now scrolling through his phone which caused your anger to boil up within you as you wondered how on Earth you were going to get through the rest of the night with any sort of progress. “Seriously, Hyunjin? Are you not even going to try?”
He looked up from his phone, an unamused look painting his features, “Please just shut the fuck up. It would make this night a whole lot more bearable if you knew how to keep your mouth shut.”
“Hwang Hyunjin, I swear to f-”
“Alright, here you go,” the waiter returned with a cheery smile, setting down to glass cups while popping open a bottle of wine, “Are you two ready to order?” he beamed as he poured a healthy amount of wine in each of your glasses, and lord knows you need a drink right now.
“Ah, thank you,” you forced a courteous smile, “I’ll take the filet mignon, please.”
“Alright, and what about you, sir?”
“I’ll have the whole grilled snapper, thank you.”
“Perfect, I’ll have those out as soon as they’re ready.”
You felt yourself growing incredibly frustrated as time ticked by, unable to sit still in your seat due to the roaring fury you felt inside of you. You just could not understand why Hyunjin was so hateful towards you, you had no idea what caused him to behave this way with you and you were growing sick of it. Maybe you could confront him about it, but right now, you were way too riled up to even think of having that conversation with him. Your face was stuck in a permanent scowl as Hyunjin wore a blank expression, seemingly not caring about the circumstance you both were in. It floored you that Hyunjin wasn’t taking any of this seriously. He said he cared about the fact he was at risk of losing this role, yet his actions and attitude said otherwise.
If looks could kill, Hyunjin would’ve been dead ten times over, yet as he looked up to meet your eyes, he returned your gaze with a humorless one, “You know, staring is rude.”
It was taking an exuberant amount of self control for you to hold it together, “I just can’t understand how you’re so relaxed about this. It’s like you want us both to get dropped from this project.”
“Like I said, I do care, but this whole arrangement isn’t so easy to do,” he said sternly, “You’re not even giving me the chance to get comfortable. You can’t just expect me to be able to act like we don’t hate each other. And pressuring me isn’t helping much either, is it?”
You bit the inside of the cheek, recognizing that Hyunjin wasn’t entirely wrong in how he was feeling. “I guess so,” was all you could manage to reply, not willing to give him the satisfaction that he was right.
Once more, an uncomfortable, tense silence loomed over as you each waited for your food. You decided it was best to deal with this rather than forcing a conversation, perhaps it was best to let Hyunjin take the lead since he was the one struggling with this disaster. Despite the heavy atmosphere, you found your muscles slowly relaxing as time went on as your focus returned to the environment around you, how decadent each detail of the restaurant was and the false laughters of businessmen filled your ears.
The waiter returned with both your meals in hand, grinning from ear to ear, “Alright, here’s the grilled snapper for you, sir,” he carefully laid the plate in front of Hyunjin before turning to you with a sweet smile, “And here’s the filet mignon for the beautiful Mx. Hwang.”
You noticed Hyunjin trying to hold back a teasing laugh at the waiter’s comment, even going as far to add, “They’re lovely, aren’t they?” But only you could see through the fakeness Hyunjin wore as the waiter politely agreed, causing you to kick Hyunjin hard in the shin from under the table. Hyunjin’s face winced as he thanked the waiter for the food before glaring at you, “What? You want us to act like a couple, but the moment I do something, you have a problem with it?”
You grumbled, annoyance lacing your voice, “Oh, shut up. You were being sarcastic, you asshole.”
“Oh, really? I would say our server didn’t have a clue, I’d say I’m a pretty good actor,” he smirked, picking up his fork and knife, “Let’s just enjoy our food, hm?”
You returned Hyunjin’s smirk with an insincere smile, “You’re right, it’s probably the only good thing that’ll come out this evening.”
Hyunjin only hummed in agreement, choosing to ignore your comment as he dug into his food, you doing the same as the familiar tense silence enveloped you once more. In all honesty, this felt like it was going nowhere, it felt like this whole project was doomed from the very inception of it and Hyunjin’s stubbornness was only making this more difficult than it needed to be. The idea that you had to put your full trust and the fate of your career in someone else was too much, it was ridiculous, yet here you were, with the man you loathed the most having full control on whether this project would be a success or a blemish on your career. His lack of cooperation filled you with anxiety, yet you knew you had no choice. Patience wasn’t always your strong suit, but Hyunjin never failed to test it and you weren’t sure if you were going to survive this entire week if this was how every meeting was going to be like.
You were half way through your meal when Hyunjin cleared his throat, snapping you out of your thoughts, “So, why did you take the project knowing I was going to be the male lead?”
You snorted at his question, “Could be asking you the same thing.”
“Well, I honestly took the role thinking you wouldn’t do it knowing it was me as the lead,” mumbled Hyunjin.
“Wow,” you stared at him with disbelief in your eyes, “You really thought I’d reject a hand delivered opportunity?” you let out a surprised laugh, “Besides, the script seemed fun. Just didn’t realize you’d be so impossible to work with.”
“I see,” responded Hyunjin as he continued to eat, causing you to raise your eyebrow, fully expecting a witty response from him in return.
The rest of dinner went on without a word, that being the only exchange throughout the night. While it was not an enjoyable time, you and Hyunjin seemed to have agreed that the silence was far more welcomed than any bickering you two would engage in, preferring the uncomfortable peace over anything else.
The car ride home went the same, no words other than the loud music that drummed over your incessant thoughts, anxiety crawling throughout you as you began to worry that maybe you were losing out on the biggest role of your career, all thanks to Hyunjin of all people. If this didn’t work out, this would make it impossible for you to find other roles in the industry, as rumors would inevitably spread about how difficult it was to work with you and Hyunjin. You couldn’t trust him one bit, you had no faith in him that he would be able to get over his own differences with you, ones that you still had no idea where they even spawned from.
As soon as Hyunjin pulled up in front of your apartment, you left his car without a word, not even looking back before making your way up to your unit. You pulled out your phone as you unlocked the front door, stumbling as you dialed Chan’s number.
“Oh, Y/N! How did it go?”
“Chan, this isn’t going to work. We’re fucked.”

'Hoist the sails, loose the nets.'
"Root everyone."
"Let go of the nets."
"Ah, we've got one, Captain!"
That's all you can remember. You got captured by pirates, the worst kind of people. You were unconscious in the net, you had human legs again, you were naked. Your long wet hair covered your body, luckily too.
You woke up in one room. How can you describe the room? It was average, wooden walls, there were some candles on a desk. You saw a few cards and some goods. Lots of papers, two doors that lead to other rooms apparently.
You were sitting in a bathtub, with cold water that felt good. You looked around in a bit of surprise. You could still hear the sailors' words in your ears.
You saw a man come in. His eyes were dark, it scared you. You panicked and tried to crawl out of the bathtub, but unfortunately you couldn't.
"Ahh, you're finally awake again, hmm."
he came to you and he lifted you chin with his index finger.
"Looks healthy enough to sell."
'Excuse me? To sell?! I am not an object.'
'In my opinion, yes. A strange kind of quick-witted person.'
"I have legs too."
“I've seen that before, little girl. I have eyes here.'
he pointed his finger at his eyes.
"Can I get out of the bathtub?"
"So you can run away, back into the water?"
"I'm not going to do that."
"As if I trust a being like you."
'I'm a person too.'
"Not in my eyes." so he left.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You were still in the bathtub, quietly playing with the water. Suddenly the door opened again. He had a plate in his hands with some delicious food. He went to his desk and started eating.
'That looks delicious.'
you said.
'Could I have a piece too?'
'No.'
"You can't let me starve, who would want to buy me."
'You think I didn't think of that? You won't get food until tomorrow.'
"Why not today?"
"Because I said so, little girl."
"Stop calling me a little girl."
He paused and continued eating. You couldn't look at it, so you dived under the water. You observed your tail. It was beautiful, to be honest.
'What is your name?'
he didn't answer.
"Can I at least know your name?"
'Why.'
"Because it's strange to be in the same room with someone, without any information."
“Hyunjin.
“Hyunjin…nice name.”
he nodded. He stood up from his chair. You leaned against the bathtub.
"Where are you going?"
'I'm going to sleep.' '
'Goodnight then.'
So he left again without saying a word.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You pretended to be sleeping, but actually you couldn't close your eyes for 2 hours. You heard a door creak and some footsteps. You felt eyes on you. You used your senses to maybe know who it was. You smelled a certain scent and felt a certain atmosphere... it felt like... Hyunjin.
You opened your eyes and looked straight into his eyes. He stood there leaning against the door frame. Just staring you up and down. He didn't say anything, nothing came out of his mouth. His pyjama was a long fleece blouse with a long fleece pants. After three minutes he just went back into his bedroom.
You thought he was scary, even though he looked very attractive. His look gave you chills. You wanted to flee, to leave.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning, you woke up on a bed. You were laying under a blanket. You don't know how you came here, but it was at least better now when you had legs. You looked under the blanket and saw you had a dark blue dress on. It was beautifull. You stood up from the bed and looked around in the bedroom.
The bed you were in was not too small, but not too big either. It was in the corner of the room. This definitely wasn't the captain's room, or at least you hoped so... You started walking around the room. You had to get used to your legs. You hopped around a bit so your muscles could move a bit. It had been a long time since you used your legs. You were surprised that you still knew how to stand up.
The door opened again and the captain named Hyunjin entered. There was a table in the room where you sat. He had a plate of food in his hands.
'Here.'
you cautiously approached. It was hardtack and salt beef. It looked quite tasty.
'Thank you.'
you muttered. You sat at the table and began to eat quietly, not daring to look up at the captain. He just stood leaning against the door. He watched you eat everything. He also looked at your legs, it was strange that you first had a tail and now two beautiful shiny legs. It was fantastically impressive.
You looked to your right where he was standing. You looked him up and down. You had never really looked at him properly. He didn't look too unfriendly, he had long black hair, thick lips, he was also tall and muscular, but that's probably normal.
"What's your name, little girl."
You looked at your plate and didn't answer. He came closer and grabbed your chin.
"Answer the captain."
“Y/N…”
you said softly.
“Y/N, okay.”
He sat across from you at the table. His hands were together and he looked at you. His eyes seemed darker than ever. You kept looking at your plate.
"You're a strange creature."
'You too.'
He clicked with his tongue his inner jaw. The silence was a bit awkward.
He got up again and left again. You thought he was finally leaving for a while, but he came back in with his plate of food. He sat across from you again and started to eat. You watched his actions. It was quiet, you could hear the sounds of the sea. The ship moved a little, but the sea was quiet this time of year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The two of you grew a little closer together, you always ate lunch together. You two talked sometimes. It was very quiet. You'll be sold in just 1 day. The captain had forgotten that, and he still didn't know. The captain became close to you. He came and sat with you, you talked about the ocean. He asked many things, all of which you had seen. It was nice to finally have someone with the same passion. He couldn't stay away from you, until today...
The ship sailed on the shore. The captain was still asleep. You were sleeping in the room next door, suddenly some sailors came to get you out of bed. They put a cloth over your mouth.
'Healthy enough to sell.'
You tried to stop them, you moved and tried to escape from their grasp. You pushed things over but they finally got you out of the ship. They grabbed your arms and dragged you away. Your anger swirled, you had sharp teeth, you bit the cloth from your mouth. They didn't notice yet because you were pretty quiet.
Before they know it you bit their hands, blood pouring from their bodies. You were still wearing the dark blue dress. The captain heard shouting and immediately went to your room, you weren't there. He ran outside to the deck and looked where the shouting was coming from. He saw the bloody hands of his crew members.
He saw you running to the beach, clutching the dress tightly to you. You ran deep into the water and finally dived into the water itself. No no no no, you couldn't leave, you couldn't leave him. Hyunjin took off some of his clothes and jumped into the water.
You no longer swim that fast because you were already used to your legs. You heard some water splashing. You turned around and saw Hyunjin swimming towards you. It was too dangerous here in the Ocean for a human like him. You swam far out into the sea, but you still saw the ship.
“Y/N.”
he tried to shout.
“Y/N, wait, please.”
you stopped and turned around. He tried to keep his head above water, but he was so tired. You saw him sink a little underwater. You immediately swam over to him and grabbed him in an embrace. You kept his head above water as you swam to a nearby shore. This one was a little further than the normal one, it was not really accessible.
You laid him down and started knocking water out of his body. You started mouth to mouth breathing. You made sure you scooped up enough air. His eyes opened again and he gasped. You were still giving him life support. He straightened his back and started coughing. You looked at his chest, which was heaving.
“Y/N.”
he said softly. His fingers slid over your cheeks.
"Don't leave me alone, please."
"You wanted to sell me."
'They came in without my permission. I would never sell you after the time I had with you.'
'The time?'
“I feel alive with you Y/N.”
You grabbed his face and pressed your lips against his. Your tongue slid through his mouth. Your hands interwined.
"Let's go back, okay?"
he put a piece of hair behind your ears.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hyunjin carried you to his bed and laid you down. He trampled the members who took you. They were given community service for the coming months. They also came to you personally. Of course you forgave them, also because you bit them.
You lay on the bed and waited for Hyunjin to come back. He came in and locked the door. He sat on the bed next to you. He played with your hair. He started kissing your face softly. You took his hand and brought it under your dress. His fingers started rubbing your clit. He watched you react.
He lifted your dress and he attached his mouth to your clit. He devoured it, like a hungry man. Your back arched and you grabbed the sheet. He pinned your thighs on the bed, because they were a bit shaking. You came without a warning and he licked everything up.
You pulled his pants a little down so you could get his member out. You stroked it softly and brought it against your lips. You started licking the tip, your tongue slid over his length. Twirling around. You heard his whimpers above you. You saw some precum coming out.
Hyunjin positioned himself by your entrance. His face was already sweaty. He slid in with ease. He tore the dress loose so he could have access to your boobs. He nibbled on your nipples, with one hand he kneaded one of your breasts. You grabbed his chin and brought him back in for a kiss. You tasted each other.
His rhythm started to speed up. He pushed into you. He wanted you now, he wanted to feel everything about you. He grabbed your ankles with both hands and spread your legs wide. He pumped into you fast. He sucked your neck and licked everything he could reach. You threw your head back on the pillow.
'You are so Beautiful.'
he whispered in your ear. He started biting your earlobe. He let go of your ankles, but your legs remained open. He took one of your hands and placed it on the lower part of your stomach. You felt him pumping into you. You felt him all the way in it.
Hyunjin could already feel his orgasm coming. You felt drops of sweat falling on your body. He started to push into you more.
"Hyunjin, I am about to cum."
you said softly with your eyes closed. Hyunjin grabbed your chin so you looked at him as you came. You came moaning out his name, because of that he also came. You stared at each other for a while, just admiring each other.
Your hands went around his neck and you pulled him to you. Your arms surrounded his stomach. You were so small compared to him. You clung to him. His arms went to your waist. You fell asleep in this position with him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was night and you opened your eyes. You looked to your right and saw Hyunjin sleeping. You stood up and put your dark blue dress back on. You went outside to the deck. You walked around there a bit. You went to the edge and leaned your arms. You looked at the waves of the sea. You missed that cold water. You missed your hair being wet. You heard some creaking of planks.
“Y/N.”
you heard someone whisper in your ears.
“I miss the water Hyunjin.”
his hands surrounded your waist.
'I know.'
he whispered in your ears.
“But I can’t leave my ship Y/N.”
you looked at each other. Your look changed.
"We'll find a way."
you said
. "Let's go back inside, okay?"
“Okay, babe.”
You kissed his cheek. You were back in bed with him. His warmth felt good, maybe even better than the cold water.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Days passed and you felt homesick. You wanted to jump into the water, you couldn't help it. It was your siren instinct. You tried life on board, but it didn't work out. Every day you saw the beautiful waves, you saw fish and sea animals swimming. You wanted to swim with them, you wanted to go back to your family, to your friends,... You were on deck at night again. This looked like you were standing on the edge.
“Y/N, what are you doing?”
“I can't hold on anymore, I want to get in the water, Hyunjin.”
"We have a bathtub?"
"That's not the same."
“What do you want to say,Y/N.”
"I'm a Siren, I live in water, Hyunjin."
There was a silence between you.
'I understand.'
“I'll never forget you Hyunjin. I love you so much, I don't know if I can leave you. I want you to come with me, but you can't.'
He came closer to you and kissed you softly.
“I love you Y/N, I'm never going to find love again. I will never make love to anyone else but you again.'
He had a chain around his neck, he took it off. He brought the chain to your neck and put it on for you.
"So you don't forget me."
"We'll see each other again, I promise."
"I'm not going to let you go if I see you one more time."
You kissed him on the cheeks and turned around. You looked back again and then jumped into the water. Hyunjin watched as your legs turned back into a tail. You disappeared into the water. Tears rolled down his cheeks. His tears dripped into the water.
“I love you Y/N.”

You were barely awake as you noticed the grip around your waist getting tighter. It was your boyfriend laying behind you, pulling you closer and nestling his head into your neck. He placed delicate kisses on your soft, warm skin while whispering beautiful things in your ear. You felt so giddy, so happy, so in love.
“Princess”, he whispered softly, “Are you awake?”
You didn’t answer but smiled brightly instead. You found his hand placed on your bare stomach covering you with safety and affection. You stroked the soft skin, starting with the back of his hand and ending with his long fingers.
Memories of where those fingers had been last night flooded your consciousness and made you shudder. You felt him grin into the back of your neck.
“I guess you are awake. Good morning, baby.”
You didn’t want to turn around as you were afraid of realizing that this was nothing but a dream. Just another session of your imagination that brightened up your life.
You had sucked at dating all your life – always being tossed aside by the guys you fell for. After a while you were consumed with your fears which resulted in you giving up dating altogether.
“Not everybody is going to leave you. Not everybody is going to cheat on you. Not everybody is going to use you for sex. Not everybody will leave you for someone else. Not everybody is a fuckboy, Y/N!”
Your friend’s words were prominent in your mind for a long time; however, you decided you couldn’t take the risk. No matter how hard you tried you couldn’t believe in the possibility of her words being true. Being convinced that no guy on this planet would ever want you – really want you –  was burned into the core of your whole being.
But what if an imaginary boy could?
You often daydreamed about him, just for fun. Imagining being with the one that truly loved you made you feel better, so you kind of turned your imagination into your own real world.
In here, everything was peachy. You had no idea how you did it but the most handsome guy on mother earth fell for you. He was tall, slim yet muscular and moved with vigor. He was in his early twenties, just like you. He had piercing dark eyes, a distinctive nose and full lips. His porcelain skin was flawless and perfectly accentuated by his long, black hair. Since you enjoyed him so much in your daydreams you even gave him a name – Sam.
Ever since inventing Sam nothing was the same for you. Hand-crafting the perfect man made you happy, seen and appreciated. You finally had the feeling that you were truly wanted for all that you were. Every day you spent lots of moments in your head imagining what it would be like to really date him.
After waking up you would place your arms around yourself and imagine it was him hugging you, wishing you a good morning.
While pouring black coffee into your favorite mug you imagined him standing next to you smiling brightly. “Here”, he handed you some sugar, “to make the coffee as sweet as you, y/n.”
During your daily walks you’d imagine him with you, holding your hand and stroking your thumb while chatting with you.
And at night, when you were left with your dirty thoughts and desperation, you imagined it were his lips on your clit sucking, instead of the pink sex toy you bought ages ago.
After a while your inner world felt so true to you, so real, that you actually felt like a different person. You were no longer y/n, single and desperately afraid of heartbreak, but y/n, happily partnered with the love of her life.
Naturally, you showed up different in the world. You had that glow, that aura, that only people who are fresh in love had to offer. You oozed confidence and fulfillment, no longer looking for someone to complete you.
Everybody noticed the change in you and approached you differently: your friends loved your sudden wholeness and congratulated you on being your best self, past lovers popped up and found their way into your DMs, begging for another chance as well as random strangers who asked you out on the street.
You rejected them all – in your head you were happily partnered to Sam. Your loyalty belonged to Sam.
Until one day you were out enjoying some pancakes when you were approached by a guy that resembled your imaginary boyfriend a bit too much.
“You might think I’m crazy and I probably am, but I couldn’t help myself. Ever since I saw you, I had to come and talk to you. It’s like.. I feel like I am magically drawn to you. I’m Hyunjin by the way.”
This was definitely odd, but you didn’t think he was crazy at all. You felt it, too. You shared an intimate connection even though you had never met. Being with Hyunjin felt natural, comfortable – as if you had been doing it all the time.
You forgot your fears about dating and heartbreak – in fact, they never made their comeback into your conscious mind. All you thought about was Hyunjin and how he made you feel.
Desired.
Loved.
Sexy.
Confident.
Wanted.
Appreciated.
Taken care of.
Safe.
His resemblance to Sam was almost frightening – they shared the same looks, mannerisms and characteristics. Sometimes you joked about dating your imaginary duplicate but deep down you knew it was far from comedy.
Your imaginary relationship started out as a relief, as a way to make you feel better about being lonely but somehow you managed to find a guy that was identical to your made-up boyfriend. You would have freaked out by now but luckily, he had another name, so you kept your trust in funny coincidences rather than magic.
“Princess”, Hyunjin’s kisses brought you back to actual reality. “I was thinking about taking a trip to the states to visit my relatives and friends from high school. Do you want to come with me? Say yes, please.”
You turned around cheerily. “You lived in the states?”
Relationships were a funny thing – you were fluent in Hyunjin’s body language and knew his deepest secrets, but random things like past high school exchanges were still foreign to you. He nodded while his fingers were caressing your face. “Yeah, for a couple of years I lived there. It was a crazy time, completely different to here.”
You leaned into his touch more. “Different how?”
“Well, the language for starters. The culture was way more open. I felt cooler in a way. Oh, and I even got another name since no American could pronounce Hyunjin without insulting my Korean ancestors.”
Your eyes shot up in panic. “Another name?”, you muttered. Hyunjin nodded unknowingly.
“Yeah, my English name is Sam. Why?”

The moment you saw the dark, heavy clouds swirling low in the sky as you walked to your Survey of Humanities class, you knew that the day was going to be a shitty one. Already, you had woken up with a raging headache from the all-nighter you had pulled the day before to finish all of your homework for the following week.
Besides, it was a Monday too, and you fucking hated Mondays.
For one thing, the start of the new week always meant being bombarded with loads of assignments from the four classes you were taking. Being a junior with a Liberal Arts major was not as easy as everyone thought it was — and you constantly felt like you could never catch up on all of the homework.
With two formal art classes, one on charcoal drawings and the other on watercolor techniques, and then two upperclassman Humanities classes, your schedule was packed with studying time. Sometimes, it was hard to even eat during the day, since you were so busy with your schoolwork.
But there was no way around it, no excuses that could be made.
You either continued to stay at the top of your classes, as one of the best students in your grade for your graduation year, or you didn’t.
Your mother didn’t sacrifice everything she had for you to fail so horribly at university.
So you were okay with the stress and deadlines. Because you wanted to make both her and yourself proud.
And yeah, maybe you also wanted to prove to your classmates that you could do it.
You especially wanted to brag about your success to a certain man…
 Hwang Hyunjin.
He was slated to graduate in your same year and was studying Technical Art. And holy shit— was he an insufferable ass. Unfortunately, since the two of you shared such close majors, you had found yourself in one too many classes with him during your time at the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul. It also didn’t help that he was coined as one of the #1 students in the entire school, and did everything in his power to make everyone aware of this fact.
 Especially you.
If he earned just two points more than you on an exam in the same class that you were taking together, he’d nonchalantly wave the white paper in front of you after the exam period, taunting you with his sly tongue and that cruel grin of his.
Most of the time, you managed to ignore his wicked teasing, sticking to yourself and your small group of study buddies. But on the rare occasion that he did get under your skin, you’d snap irrevocably and usually land yourself in the Dean’s office.
But of course, Hyunjin was also there because — news flash — he was the son of the fucking Dean of the university.
Usually, the meetings after your blowups were casual and spoken in soft voices, with Dean Hwang recounting the school’s long integrity policy to you, which you had already memorized in the back of your head after your third visit to his office. The entire time the Dean reminded you of how your ‘behavior was uncalled for in the situation,’ Hyunjin would be standing in the corner of his father’s office, arms folded across his chest and canting his head to the side as he studied you with a pleased little devilish sneer on his face.
After every single one of the meetings, he’d always try to catch up to you outside of his father’s office. This usually landed in you cursing him out under your breath and telling him to fuck off before you retreated into the shadows of one of the many hallways.
And as it just so happened, your Survey of Humanities class also had a certain raven-haired man constantly sitting in the farthest seat from the front of the lecture hall.
It was almost comical how good-looking he was, coupled with his genius brain. Because as much as you wanted to deny it, you couldn’t ignore the fact that he was incredibly smart… in both the arts and all other forms of academics. He aced every single quiz and exam he was given, got 100s on every technical art research essay he wrote, and was involved in practically every club there was on campus.
The girls of your grade fawned all over him, and even the freshmen were weak to his looks whenever he’d pass them in the hallway. He looked right out of an early 2000s fashion magazine, with his model-like physic, long, shaggy black hair that perfectly framed his face and curled at the nape of his neck, not to mention the expensive designer clothes he was always seen in.
You had never seen him dress like the other guys of his same age — had never seen him clad in a pair of baggy grey sweatpants and a worn oversized graphic tee. Instead, he rolled up to the curb of the university in his cherry red 2023 Rolls Royce, dressed to the nines in fitted coats, light-washed designer jeans, and crisp white button-downs.
Hwang Hyunjin had been the school’s ultimate heartthrob for as long as you could remember, and you had heard rumors of the kind of things he did with his lovers — taking his girlfriends out to expensive restaurants in the heart of the city, before bringing them back to his luxurious apartment and fucking them late into the night. Usually, you tended to ignore the dating and sex part of your arch nemeses' life, and instead just focused on beating him at his own game of academics.
And during that early Friday morning in the middle of October, as you strolled through the doors of the lecture hall and your eyes scanned over the students already seated, you caught sight of him.
Dressed in a casual, brown turtleneck and dark-washed jeans, he looked like he had just walked straight out of an autumn edition of GQ Men. He was seated in his usual place, legs crossed and hands busy scribbling away notes on his iPad. As you floated beside him and towards your seat at the very back of the hall, you caught the scent of him — a mix of earthy musk and dark roasted coffee beans.
He didn’t pay you the time of day as you flitted past him and took out your notebooks once you were seated down. Thankfully, he seemed to be choosing the route of ignoring you for the day, much to your relief.
Soon, the professor strode into the lecture hall and began the class. For a while, he droned on about the midterm that all of the students had taken the week before, and how he was impressed with the class’ results. “Although, two students in particular outshined everyone else,” he began, his eyes scanning the lecture hall until they landed on Hyunjin seated just two rows before you. “Hyunjin, excellent work — it’s quite rare that I see a student score a 100 on the midterm,” then his focus was floating upward and landing on you. “Y/N, you’re short essay for the midterm was superb, and your choice of art analysis was a very unique one for sure.”
Just as the professor was focusing back on the rest of the course material, you could sense someone’s gaze trained on you. Staring forward, you caught a glimpse of him shooting you a snarky grin. You glared daggers into his skull, just wishing that he’d get shot in the foot and keel over in pain at that moment.
He always liked to gloat when he got a higher score than you on the tests, and you both knew that he had done better on the test overall — since the professor only mentioned his 100 and not yours. But apparently, your midterm essay was a hell of a lot better than his.
Sticking out your tongue at him playfully, you rolled your eyes before folding your arms across your chest and turning your attention back on the slides that the professor was ticking through. Hyunjin got under your skin so much he sometimes felt like a fucking disease — burrowed so deeply inside your veins, it was almost impossible to cut out the hatred.
“For this week’s assignment, you guys will be paired up into groups of two to create a joint presentation on the topic of ‘The Descent into Madness,’” As soon as you heard the professor mention splitting the class into groups, you felt your heart leap inside your chest. You only hoped that you wouldn’t be paired up with him. “Using your textbooks as a guideline, I want all of you to choose one specific piece of art from any period you want and conduct deep research into the mad aspects of it — dive into as much detail about the formal elements as you’d like, but make sure to follow the grading rubric and cite all academic sources. I’ve posted the list of paired groups on the bulletin board up here near the projector, so make sure to check it before you leave class today.”
You tuned out all other information the professor gave about the week’s assignment, too focused on seeing who you were paired with. As soon as he dismissed class, you were shooting up from your seat and hoisting your heavy tote bag across your shoulder.
Flitting down the stairway, you made it to the bulletin board before all of the other students did. They were idling around because no one gave two shits about who they were paired with. No one except for you.
“Please, please, please—” You prayed in a whispered tone under your breath as your eyes scanned the matched columns of students. When you came upon your name and saw who was next to it, it felt like the ground at your feet had opened right up and sucked you in entirely. “Fuck my life.” Heart dropping into the pit of your stomach, your palm squeezed a little tighter around the strap of your bag.
“Oh shit— looks like the professor decided to give you a fighting chance by pairing you up with the best student in the entire school.” You heard Hyunjin’s silky voice say from somewhere behind you.
Swinging around on your heels, you caught a glimpse of his sardonic, wide smirk, as his eyes scanned the look of sheer anger on your face. Giving a dry, humorless chuckle, he shoved his hands into his pockets and canted his head to the side in a quizzical kind of way.
“We’re only going to ace this project because of me— and let’s be clear here, I’m the better writer out of the two of us.” You said in a low voice, pointing an accusing finger at him in utter disgust. You could feel your brows pulling together from the rage that was building up inside of you. And all from the thought of being forced to work with him.
“Yeah, but I’m the better test taker.”
 “Fuck you.”
Hyunjin chuckled wickedly, the tip of his blush pink tongue coming out and wetting a corner of his plush bottom lip. “Oh honey, I’m sure you wish you could.”
Already, you could tell that he was egging you on. Trying to get your goad so that you’d explode and be dragged to the Dean’s office. So that he could stare down at you with that same smug look on his face as his precious little daddy rattled off the university’s code of conduct.
 Well fuck that bullshit.
Seeing too much red, you decided to excuse yourself from the equation before you said something horrible that got you sent into the Dean’s office again or even worse — kicked from the class.
“I’ll see you on Monday night at ten in the library,” you said in finality, squinting your eyes up at him and just wishing you could wring your hands around his perfect little neck. “Don’t be late.”
“I don’t take orders from you, sweetheart.”
“For now you sure fucking do.”
Then you were turning around and pushing out of the lecture hall, practically running down the corridor as fast as you could, heart pounding in your chest because… what the hell were you going to do?
Tumblr media
That entire weekend leading up to the Monday night that you planned to spend with Hyunjin, you just about lost your mind over the worry of it all. Would he continue to be an asshole to you the entire time? Would he work well with you and compromise on things? How would everything go?
You were so stressed about the entire thing that you practically drove your roommate Felix insane with annoyance. Late Sunday morning, when you were making circles around your living room couch as you stressed about everything, he finally burst out in a loud outcry.
“Y/N! You seriously need to take a chill pill, you’re going to run holes right into the fucking carpet!” He said in an exasperated tone, muting the show that he was watching on the large flatscreen TV.
Peering up at him with wide, guilty eyes, you offered him a meek smile. “I’m sorry, Lix— it’s just… you know how much I hate Hyunjin and I—”
Felix rolled his eyes at you, completely fed up with your bullshit at that moment. “Yes, yes, I know. You’ve told me about a million times at this point. But like… don’t let it get to you, yeah? Just go out there and do your very best,” his eyes flitted back to the TV as he un-muted his show. “I mean… how bad could working with Hwang Hyunjin really be? Besides you, he’s one of the top students in the entire school.”
But he didn’t know Hyunjin like you did.
 No one did.
They didn’t see the cruel side to him, the mean side.
They didn’t hear the words he’d mumble to you with venom after a big test or the taunting he’d throw your way if you one-upped him in some way.
Others didn’t see the dark looks he’d give you after classes or the way he’d practically talk behind your back each time you passed him in the hallway — whispering to his groupies and making all the guys chuckle heartily.
So yeah, working with him was a pretty fucking big deal.
Nonetheless, you took Felix’s advice and tried to relax as much as you could before the start of the new week. You studied the material that you wanted to research for the project, deciding to focus on Hamlet’s Ophelia for your analysis.
And if Hyunjin didn’t want to go with that character, well… too bad.
By the time Monday night rolled around, you felt more prepared than ever before and stepped into the Library’s main doors with settled ease. The university’s library was your favorite place on campus and had been the location for many of your long night study sessions over your time in school. With its dark gothic architecture outside and its sweeping gables, it was a true sight to behold. Not to mention the cozy atmosphere of the interior — all of the cozy nooks and crannies of the place, filled with warm candlelight and large chandeliers and settees made everything feel so mysterious and relaxing.
You strode through the isles filled with books, noticing how it was almost empty of any other student. That’s why you liked coming to the place late at night because it was relatively devoid of life and incredibly quiet. And you liked the quiet — it made it easy for you to focus on your studies. Finally, you stumbled upon a spacious table tucked into the very corner of one part of the place on the upper floor, with a large bay window just in front of the wooden table.
With a glance outside the pane, you noticed how the darkening sky had opened up to reveal a sheet of heavy rain — it pelted down on the few students that were passing by the outside of the library on the sidewalk there, as they ran for cover. Methodically, you brought out your supplies — booting up your laptop and positioning your notebook and pens just so.
Checking your phone, the screen flashed that it was fifteen minutes past ten o’clock already. Was he not even planning on showing up? Was he going to completely bail on you and instead take you down by sabotaging the entire thing?
As you sat down in one of the cushiony, velvet-lined chairs, your mind began to race with all of the possibilities of what Hyunjin might be stewing up to take you down.
Then, almost like your thoughts had summoned him, you heard footsteps at your back and turned to see Hyunjin rounding the corner of the tall bookshelves that were lined on either side of your chosen table. With one glance at him, you noticed the soaked-through fabric of his tan coat and the way his dark hair curled around the nape of his neck with moisture. He must’ve gotten caught in the rain and that’s why he was late.
“I thought you were going to bail on me entirely.”
Giving you a swarthy look, he plopped down into the seat just across from you and threw his heavy book bag atop the table. “Good evening to you as well.” He grumbled, slipping off his coat and showcasing the wetness hidden just underneath there. His light, cream-colored button-down was almost sheer from the rainwater… highlighting his muscular shoulder blades and the tips of his pecks.
“Didn’t you know it was supposed to rain heavily tonight?”
Not even paying you another glance, he focused on pulling out his supplies. “I’m not the fucking weatherman, I don’t regularly check up on shit like that.”
“Well, you should— maybe you wouldn’t ruin so many of your precious, rich boy clothes if you did.”
At that, his hands stopped moving and he stared up at you with slitted eyes. Giving your own choice of outfit a long once over, the corner of his mouth ticked up. “Well damn— are you jealous or something?” You weren’t particularly dressed up, opting for a comfortable pair of black sweatpants and a warm violet turtleneck top.
“Let’s just focus on getting to work.” You shot back, hands typing away at your computer keyboard. “Did you figure out a piece you want to analyze?”
 “Yeah, Hamlet’s Ophelia.”
His words were silky and smooth against your ears, but his answer is what got you shooting your gaze up to his again. Mouth dropping open a little bit in surprise, you cleared your throat from the sudden quietness between you. “Oh— uhm, I was thinking the same,” you began, opening up the Word document that you had already started working on that past weekend. “It would probably be a good idea to study Hamlet’s character too since he's the catalyst of her problems.”
“No, he isn’t. She already had them to begin with — he just heightened their outcome.”
You were so taken aback by his comment, that it took a few seconds for your brain to process everything. But when it finally clicked, you were gaping up at him in astonishment. “I’m sorry, what? You’re going to blame her for the fact that Hamlet was the sole cause of it all?” Your voice was steadily rising, as you began to get irritated by his suggestion.
Hyunjin shrugged nonchalantly, as he scribbled down a few things in his notebook. “I mean, yeah. She already had a history of mental disorders, her death was bound to happen anyway.” He matched your tone, words growing louder and ringing out across the small expanse of the library that the two of you were in.
“I seriously cannot believe you right now.” You began, shaking your head in anger as you tried to focus on your bright computer screen again. But his argument just rubbed you the wrong way entirely, and you found yourself speaking up again. “I didn’t realize how much of a fucking misogynist you were. But oh, wait— it’s perfectly clear now if the way you treat me is anything to go off of.”
“I’m not a misogynist, Y/N.” The way his tone curled around the sound of your name did something funny to the depths of your soul. He had never called your name outright like that, never addressed you head-on. And it was both weird and oddly satisfying. “All I’m saying is that her descent into madness was pretty warranted since she was in an already heightened state of emotions.”
You gave him a deep glare, tilting your head to the side in annoyance. “Just say you hate women, it’s okay, Hyunjin. I won’t bug you about it.”
“Like hell, you won’t.” He mumbled under his breath, long fingers typing out something on his computer.
And that was enough to completely set you off.
There were no other students around, no professors to tell you off, and no Deans to harp on you about correct student conduct.
“Seriously, what the hell is your problem?! You’re so fucking annoying and a total piece of shit. I honestly have no idea how you’re at the top of the school when all you do is belittle others!” This time, you were shouting outright. Throwing him an ominous glare and shutting your computer with a resounding thud.
Hyunjin leaned back in his seat, lengthy arms folded across his chest as the rain pelted against the misty window just at his back. “Oh, and like you’re any better? You always love to shove your accomplishments in everyone else’s faces— you ever stop to think how that makes others feel?” He was yelling now too, stroking a hand through his long locks that were steadily dripping with tiny droplets of rainwater.
Shaking your head in disappointment, you took in a resounding deep breath. “I knew this was a bad idea. I knew you’d be an asshole the entire time and I knew we wouldn’t get any work done,” as you said the words, you were already gathering up your things, shoving them into your bag, and leveling him with a cold stare. “So let’s just forget it - this - okay? Just… work on it by yourself and then we can compile our info together the day of and—”
 “Sit down, Y/N.”
The way his command slipped out from between his lips in a low, gravelly voice shook something loose deep within your very being. For a moment, you almost felt compelled to listen to him. Like under a mystical enchantment, your limbs wanted to move on their own accord and seat yourself down again. But the rational part of your brain overtook all other thoughts as you stood your ground and hovered just next to the table.
“You can’t tell me what to do. You’re not your daddy— you don’t have the authority of the Dean.”
For the last few moments, he hadn’t been looking at you, eyes instead trained on his computer still. Almost like, the entire ordeal didn’t bother him that much. Like you were a minor inconvenience to him in the grand scheme of his rich, privileged life.
But all at once, he was tipping his head towards the high rafters of the library’s ceiling, stare catching with yours. The stormy look you saw there, dancing around in his brown irises, forced your heart to leap in the pit of your throat.
“Don’t make me say it again.”
“I’m never going to listen to you, so tough luck, fucker.”
Taking in a deep breath, his entire body shuddering with the motion, he held your gaze and motioned with a tilt of his head to the seat in front of him that you had just gotten up from. “Sit. Down.”
And like a single crack suddenly appearing in a delicate vase, your mind was losing all conscious thought and you were moving without any other thought. His seething, low tone overtook your entire system, his focus on you sending a shock of shivers up the length of your spine again and again, unrelenting.
“What?” You asked, noticing the surprised expression on his face from the way that you had fucking listened to him once, seated in your chair again. “I was tired of hearing your stupid demands.”
Hyunjin flipped through a few pieces of paper in his notebook before he pushed it your way. “Give that a look over, it’s the notes I took on Ophelia over the weekend.” The idea of him studying for the project just like you had done forced your mind to run rampant with all kinds of thoughts. Like, was he also stressing out about the meeting like you had been doing?
“I already told you— we’re not working together.”
“For Christ’s sake, just give it up!” Hyunjin exclaimed in a loud voice, throwing his hands up into the air in mock defeat. “You act like this is the deciding project of our grade— it’s a fucking weekly assignment. All we have to do is our best, which will be pretty damn good if we’re both working on it.”
“So then you admit that I’m a good student.” You raised an eyebrow his way, fingers slowly taking ahold of his notebook and playing with the edges of the paper.
Taking in a deep sigh, he pointed at the notebook in front of you. “Just focus— okay? I want to get as much work done as possible tonight.”
“Fine, but don’t blame me if we get a bad grade because we rush it.” You said, finally raising the white flag of surrender and taking in the contents of his notebook. The notes were detailed and insanely good, highlighting certain formal aspects of Ophelia’s character and the overarching themes of her madness. “Wow— this is… really good.” You said in a quiet voice, almost hoping that he wouldn’t hear it.
Rummaging through your nearby bag, you pulled out a pink highlighter to take some notes, and your chosen lollipop for the night, mango flavored. You liked to reward yourself with a fun treat of candy whenever you did late-night studying sessions since the sugar kept your energy levels high and helped to keep you focused. Ever since you were a little girl, you seemed to concentrate better when your mind wasn’t entirely on the content you were studying.
“I mean, I’m not coined as one of the school’s top students for nothing,” Hyunjin remarked in a sarcastic tone. You chose to ignore his comment and instead focus on his neat handwriting and the way his words fit in perfectly to the columns of the notebook paper.
Everything about him was perfect — from his looks to his academic success to his damn handwriting. Hell, what wasn’t he good at?
For one thing, being a nice fucking person.
And he seemingly couldn’t grasp the idea of how not to be an asshole to people he didn’t like.
Unfortunately, you were categorized in his list of people that he hated.
As you flipped to the next page in his notebook, your tongue swirled around the lollipop in your mouth. The sugary sweetness of the artificial mango flavor coated your tongue deliciously, and it awakened all of your senses in the best way possible. The minutes seemed to tick by, as you began to make notes based on Hyunjin’s research from his notebook, turning away from the paper and typing into the Word document that you had started for the project.
Faintly, in the back of your mind, you could hear Hyunjin’s soft inhales and exhales, as he focused on his research. All else was quiet in the library, what with it being completely void of life on a Monday at eleven at night. You could distinctly pick out the sounds of rainfall pitter-pattering just outside the large window behind Hyunjin’s seat, as the night drew on in a heavy mist of dew and moisture.
“Why do you hate me so much?”
Hyunjin’s words were faint and broke you out of your daze of thought. You had been frantically writing down some of your critiques about Ophelia as a character, and your head shot up from your computer to catch a glimpse of him staring back at you.
You didn’t know how long he had been like that, sitting back in his chair, long, raven hair a wavy mess around his face and eyes a little bleary from a mixture of sheer exhaustion and that… darkness that you could never quite pinpoint. You had only ever seen him direct such swarthy looks at you, and that fact disheartened you a lot.
“I think the real question you should be asking is what’s not to hate about you.” You deadpanned, giving him a deep frown as you poked your lollipop into the corner of one of your cheeks, tucking it away for the moment.
Folding his arms across his chest in that abrasive way that he always did around you, he tilted his head to the side with a raised eyebrow. “Okay, spill the tea.”
Taking in a deep breath to stave off your rising nerves and irritation with the man before you, you carded a few fingers through your hair. “To start with, you’re a complete and total asshole.”
“I think we’ve already touched on this point by now.”
His retort left you to stare daggers into his eyes, wishing someone would just come up behind him and slit his throat because you sure did want to at that moment. But you also supposed that the Dean of the university wouldn’t take a liking to you murdering his son.
“Secondly, you’re always stuck up and hard-headed and annoying and… and immature.”
Hyunjin blew out a deep, long whisper. “Damn, spare my ego some, will ya?”
But you weren’t planning on stopping anytime soon. He had started the engine of the train, and now you were rolling down the tracks of sheer rising anger and all of the pent-up rage that you had felt towards him for the past three years. “And you’re right okay? I am fucking jealous. I’m so jealous of you that I can’t breathe sometimes— you haven’t had to work a day in your life for your position, yet I’ve had to scrape by on my hands and knees, clawing— begging at life to grant me just one fucking break.” You weren't even yelling. Instead, the words just come out hushed and all too grave.
Like, if anyone else but him heard them, you’d crumble into a pile of ash and disintegrate into thin air, never to be seen again. Because it was fucking embarrassing, to be so affected by him still, even after all of these years.
He stayed silent, watching as you flayed your hands around in the air in your exasperation. You were fed up with your life and the hold that he had over it. You were finally at your breaking point and you had had enough.
And you think that at that moment, he had also seen and acknowledged that, staying silent to let all of the words spew out of you like an erupting volcano that had been bound to blow from the very start.
“But you? You get everything handed to you on a pretty, silver platter because your daddy is wealthy and you're drop-dead gorgeous and practically have the brain of a neuroscientist. Meanwhile, I was raised by a poor single mother in the slums of Seoul and the only way I got into this university in the first place is because I busted my ass throughout middle and high school to earn the top student’s place,” you pointed a finger between the two of you. Almost like, the tip of it was sharp enough, you could cut right through him. Blade tearing through sinew and flesh and bones. “And then you dare to come around these parts, acting like you own everything, trying to put me in my place. When in reality, you’re the one that needs to be put in your place. Someone needs to knock you down a few pegs, and I’ve always thought… why not me?”
For a moment, nothing else happens after that.
And irrationally, you’re suddenly afraid of him.
Of what he might do — what he might say and to whom — with this newfound information about you.
Hardly anyone at school knew about your personal life and struggles. You tended to stay to yourself and instead focus on your studies instead of going out to late-night parties or hitting up the local clubs. And you were an extremely private person, to begin with. You saw no point in pouring out your life's sob story to people you would never see again after four years.
But all at once, you wondered if Hwang Hyunjin was a dangerous man.
If he was someone who would use your personal information against you.
And if the last three years were anything to go off of, you wouldn’t put it past him.
“Fuck— I shouldn’t have said all of that,” you grumbled, jamming your fingers into your eye sockets and scrubbing at your lids. “Just… forget all of this, yeah? Forget I said anything.” Then you were standing up from your seat for the second time that night, heart leaping in the pit of your chest as you once again gathered your things into your bag. “It’s late anyways. I should head home and keep studying for my other classes. We can meet up some other time for this, it’s not due til, what… Sunday? That gives us plenty of—”
“Y/N.” Just like before, the sound of your name on his tongue caused you to pause entirely, limbs halting their movement of shoving your computer into your bag. “Just— shut up, yeah?” His voice came out softer than you expected it would, forcing a shiver down the length of your spine.
 “Don’t call me that.”
 “Don’t call you what?”
 “Y/N.”
“Why, because it makes you feel things?” He asked in a gravelly voice. You were avoiding even looking at him at that moment, hands a little shaky as you anxiously started to suck on your lollipop again, rolling it around in the corner of your cheek. “What are you so afraid of?”
“You, okay?! It’s always been you!” Your outburst was a lot louder than you expected it to be, ringing across the space between you and echoing in the far distance of the library’s upper-level floor.
A beat of silence lapsed between the two of you, and you trained your gaze on a corner of the room, studying the small dust bunny that stood there, completely still and lifeless. In that moment, you could relate to it quite a bit. Lost and confused. Wanting to move away, but not being able to for some weird reason.
Hyunjin’s old wooden settee creaked in the silence, as he shifted in his position. “To be honest, I’m scared of you too.” And just like that, your head was snapping his way and your eyes were widening in surprise. “For one, I’m scared of that stupid thing.” With his dark eyes, he motioned towards your mouth. To the lollipop that you were dutifully sucking on, in and out, in and out. You stopped altogether when you realized why he had been so quiet during your studying session. He hadn’t been studying — he had been focusing on you, on the candy in your mouth. Feeling self-conscious about it, you took it out of your mouth and laid it down on the table. “And I’m scared of how you make me feel— crazed out of my mind, all of the time. Like a sick fucking plague, you inhabit my everything… from the moment I wake to the moment I ease, you’re all I can think about, all I can dream about. And I hate it so fucking much that it kills me a little bit more every single day.”
 “Hyunjin, I—”
His eyes nearly rolled into the back of his skull, head tipping back in delight as his lips parted just slightly. “Yes— fuck, say it again.”
 “Say… what?”
 “You know.”
Heart leaping wildly in your throat, and broken butterflies waning in the depths of your stomach, your mouth was moving on its own accord. “Hyunjin.”
Like a trigger being pulled back from a gun and flitting the weapon into action, the bullet was shot across the distance between the two of you. And the bullet was your words — you calling out his name.
In an instant, he was a flurry of motion before you. All designer clothes soaked from rainwater and long, wavy hair that still had droplets of water at the tips. He was a flash of milky skin hidden underneath a sheer, wet button-down. The faint, waning moonlight shining through the window pane cast an ominous, angelic-like halo around his tall, built frame.
And by the time you could breathe again, he had you exactly where he wanted you. Pinned up against the nearest tall bookshelf that reached up into the height of the library's ceiling. One strong hand pinning your two hands against the wood above your head, while the other was positioned just unearth your chin, holding your jaw bone and stroking the flesh there with a gentle thumb.
“Now tell me you feel nothing at all, tell me you fucking hate me with your entire being, that you’ll always hate me, and that you think I’m a deprived cunt who needs to be murdered ruthlessly in front of everyone I love.” His words were hushed, their meaning brutal. His face was so close to yours, that you could feel the warmth of his breath as he spoke. Leaning into you, he drove his middle a little closer to the part of your legs.
Breath catching painfully between your windpipes and the lump in your throat, you stared up at him with blurry vision. Your attention was growing fuzzy at the edges, as you could do nothing more but hone in on… him. Subconsciously, you could feel the mango sweetness of your lollipop coating your tongue again and again as you swallowed.
“I—I hate you so fucking much, Hwang Hyunjin.”
He pressed into you a little further, breathing in your scent and closing his eyes as his head tipped close to one part of your neck. Mouth hovering over the shell of your ear, he whispered, “Say it again, sweetheart, with a little more passion this time.”
“I… I hate you so much, I can’t function with the thought of you existing in the same lifetime as me.”
You felt him moving against you then, hand moving away from your jaw and coming around one of your hips, fingers digging into the soft fabric of your black sweatpants. “You don’t have to be afraid of me, sweetheart…” He started, mouth hovering over that space just behind your ear, warm breath fanning against your exposed gooseflesh there. “I won’t hurt you— it was never my intention in the first place. It was… just a fun game to me, to toy around with you. But I never wanted to actually fucking hurt you.”
You could feel your mind and heart racing in tandem, going a mile a minute, as you took in all of his words. Because what, the actual fuck? What was he saying? And why was he saying it? And why did you feel yourself crumbling from it all, your resolve breaking down into dust and getting whisked away to the future of Neverland?
“I never meant to make you cry,” He said slowly, pulling away from your face just a tiny bit to gauge your reaction to his confession. You gaped up at him, completely speechless in your unadulterated wonder. “Sure, I wanted to make you cry— but not in the cruel kind of way… not in the way that most people would like to do.”
His insinuation, his innuendo there, jumbled something around deep inside of your spirit. And you could practically feel your knees buckling underneath you from the reality of it all. From the fact that he was never truly set out to cause you permanent damage. And so far, he hadn’t. All he had done was make an ass out of himself and be a continual thorn in your side. But he wasn’t necessarily entirely cruel, and you never truly suspected that he’d do something catastrophically damaging.
“But all you have to do is tell me— tell me you never thought about me or dreamed about me or wondered about me, and I’ll be gone forever. You’ll never hear, or see me again. It’ll be like I never existed in the first place and I—”
“I can’t fathom a life without you in it,” you suddenly blurted out, already feeling the hint of crimson blooming beneath your cheeks and at the tip of your nose. You peered up at him, staring into those depthless, chocolate-brown eyes, reading the dancing emotions there. “Sure, I might despise your guts at times, but… I also think you’re a pretty amazing guy. And… I have to admit that sometimes, I do think about you when I’m alone, at night, and laying in my bed.”
His hand clutched a little tighter at your hip then, his fingers intertwining with yours and continuing to hoist your arms up and above your head. “Oh yeah? What do you imagine when you think about me so late into the night?” He rasped out, the sound of his voice grating against your ears and sending flames to burst across the entirety of your veins.
“Your face, mostly— how your lips would feel and how you’d taste and what you’d sound like if—”
After that, you didn’t even get the chance to finish your sentence.
He was honing in on you like a vulture to its prey, moving with such swiftness — like a phantom in the night, like a monster hidden underneath the bed, like a selkie in the depths of the ocean.
As it turns you, your dreams about him were accurate.
Because his plush lips did feel like pure heaven.
They pushed against yours, his mouth fitting atop yours like something that was carved into the universe — something that was almost meant to be. He was devouring you whole — heart and mind and soul and body.
And with each press of his silky lips, you fell down the hole of darkness and heat just a little bit more. Then the tip of his tongue was poking out and tracing the line of your mouth and you fell into him, fingers clawing at his that still had your arms held up high above your head, desperately searching for purchase as your legs threatened to give out underneath you.
When his tongue plowed into the small part between your lips, you let out a breathless moan. The kind that had been hidden deep, buried, and un-satiated for so fucking long. By the time he was tasting you, his hands had released your arms and you were scrambling for something to hold. Desperately, in your haste of arousal and temptation, you were clutching at the cool, wet fabric of his cream-colored button-down, holding on for dear life as his hands tightened around your waist and hoisted you up against the bookshelf further.
Your spine crammed into the wooden shelves there, as you wrapped your legs around his torso, yanking him closer with each passioned kiss that he gave you. Again and again, he drew those same, sinful sounds out of you. Just like all of the times before, he was playing a sick kind of game with you. But this time, it wasn’t all that bad. This time, you were quite enjoying yourself.
As your parted legs held his hips close to your frame, you could feel the hardness there, in the center of him. Just aching to be released. And suddenly, you came to terms with the fact that the wetness between your legs was rapidly growing with each kiss that he gave you.
He sucked on your lips like they were his lifeline — and you wondered, in that moment, how he’d treat the rest of you — how much attention he’d offer the rest of your body.
“J-Jin, I—” The shortened nickname slipped out between your lips when the two of you parted to catch your breaths. And when you noticed his swollen mouth, you were almost positive that yours looked just as bad, if not worse.
“What, baby doll?” He hummed, mouth moving away from yours entirely and coming close to the line of your jaw. You blushed wildly at the pet name, liking the way it sounded in his silky voice. He moved aside the thick fabric of your violet-colored knit turtleneck with his nose, lips attaching to the skin of your neck and suckling like a vampire drunken on the crimson of his lover. “What is it that you need right now?”
Your hands were scrambling for him, finding purchase in his dark roots and pulling just a tad bit there. The abuse to his scalp made him hiss out, warm breath painting across the heated flesh of the column of your neck brilliantly. “N—Need you t—to—” But your words were cut short by the way one of his hands was moving away from your waist, traveling under the hemline of your sweater, a long, nimble finger dancing across your belly button and rising to the center of your stomach.
“You need me, hmm?” He mused lowly, mouth having journeyed down to the skin closest to your clavicle, leaving violet-hued marks that would surely survive into the next few days. “Need me to fuck you, right? Need me to take you so irrevocably well right here and right now… can’t wait any longer, yeah?” As he spoke the words into existence, his naughty hand was already finding its way toward the lace of your bralette, skirting across its edges. Then, a single finger dipped underneath the elastic there, skirting up the length of your breast until it was resting against your pebbled nub. “Such a naughty little thing… who knew that the university’s prodigy just needed a good fucking, huh? That all she wanted was to get fucked open against the library bookshelves.”
You were gasping out in pure bliss, fingers digging in a little harder into his long wisps of hair as his hands began to explore your chest. Brushing, twisting, pulling. Then doing it all over again with the other mound. “Y—Yeah,” you managed to spit out, trembling underneath him, legs wounding tighter around his waist, bringing him ever closer. “Can you do that… fuck me? I need it so bad right now, I can’t handle it if you just leave me like this…” You were practically begging out the words, so desperate in your pleas that you were almost certain your groveling was boosting his already inflated ego.
“I only fuck good girls. Girls who don’t call me an asshole and don’t say they hate me.”
At that, your eyes were tearing open in a mix of surprise and despair. But the way that his hand didn’t stop touching your breasts, still playing with them, told you everything you needed to know at that moment.
You wiggled your hips slowly, grinding into the hardness between his dark-washed jeans. “Stop touching me then— stop kissing me and stop looking at me,” you began, taunting him with your movements and the way that you spoke in a velvety tone, all soft and delicate and innocent. When what the two of you were doing was anything but innocent. “But you can’t, right? Can’t get the thought of me out of your head— of what this pussy would feel like clenched around your cock, squeezing you for dear life as you fuck into me for the hundredth time in a single day—”
He was cutting off your words with his quick hands, shedding off your sweater and bralette in one go. Then he was bending down slowly, hands coming up to cup your chest. He stared up at you from his crouched position, watching the feelings rove across your face as he blew hot hair against one of your nipples.
“Just fucking shut up already bitch,” he said in a low grumble, as his hand came over your tit, mouth melding onto the warm skin there effortlessly. His other hand was busy playing with your neglected breast, squeezing there a little bit harder when his teeth grazed one of your nipples, tongue lapping at the bud. “You’re only to speak when spoken to, you understand me?” He asked, pulling away from your breast and making a crude, wet sucking noise as he did so.
Glaring down at him through lust-filled eyes, you sneered his way. “You don’t get to tell me what to do, asshole.” Hands gripping onto his hair a little bit, you pushed his face closer to your chest as he began to work on your other breast, leaving a ring of wetness as he went. “And don’t call me bitch.”
You could feel him smirk against your skin, his low chuckle vibrating against your gooseflesh and sending ripples of energy to course through your veins. “Mhm— why not? Your pussy sure seems to love the name.” He mused sadistically, completely unlatching from your breast, hands finding their way back at your hips.
 “What are you even talk—”
But he didn’t leave any more room for questions, one hand ripping away from your waist and covering your covered centre. “This, right here,” he said in a low whisper, fingers cupping your warmth there, and you could practically feel the essence dripping out of you, just behind your thin panties and sweatpants. “Bet you’ll get even more soaked when I call you it again.”
“You know nothing about me.” The words came out garbled and wobbly, as he maneuvered your sweatpants down and off of your legs entirely. “Y—You don’t know my body.”
He threw you a sardonic kind of smile, leaning into the side of you, lips caressing the shell of your ear as he spoke in soft tones. “Yeah, but I’ve done a hell of a lot of observing over the years…” At his words, you could feel his hand nearing your middle again, and you involuntarily parted your legs in want.
When his fingers came in contact with the lace of your panties, you had to pull out your biggest bout of self-control to hold in the moan that wanted to escape from you. His movements were expert level, as he pushed the fabric off to the side, running a single finger up your lips, feeling for that small spot at the very top. Circling his thumb around there, his other fingers worked at your entrance, and before you knew it, he was pressing two long digits into you.
“F—Fuck—“ You groaned at the feeling of it all, falling into him and clawing at his shoulders that were still covered in that damp button-up shirt. “Hyunjin.” You were moaning out his name before you even realized it, hips jutting up slowly against his hand, your head getting thrown back as his fingers searched and found that warm, gooey spot deep inside of you.
“See? I know exactly what the fuck I’m doing,” he muttered, lips coming around the side of your neck and suckling violet marks into the skin there. “So be a good bitch and shut up for me, yeah? Take it like a good girl— like the good whore that I know you are.”
You couldn’t even protest against him using the name again, because, in all honesty, you did like it. It felt dirty and wrong but so very fucking right at the same time. It caused your walls to spasm against the three fingers he had stuck inside of you, as he pumped in and out with a rabid kind of pace. The sound of his movements forced shivers down the length of your spine, as his thumb pressed into your clit a little more.
“Y—You gotta fuck me now, Jin—” You mumbled, already reaching the edge of orgasm from the way that he was steadily working you up with his hand alone. Half of his fingers were buried deep inside of you and the others were desperately clutching at your hip bone to bring you closer to him. The sounds he was pulling from you, both wetness and moans of pleasure, were other-worldly. “N—Need to feel your cock inside of me, right fucking now.”
In your daze of lust, you found yourself clasping at the buttons of his shirt, quickly undoing them and sliding his damp shirt off of his frame. What lay underneath was a chiseled chest — a muscular abdomen, biceps that rippled with each breath he took, and a dark trail that led towards his dick. You ran your fingers down the milky expanse of his chest, marveling at how soft and chiseled everything felt.
Sighing out quietly, you stared up at him with pleading eyes. “You’re so fucking hot… always knew you would be.” That made Hyunjin smirk with satisfaction, as he tipped into you for a breathless kiss.
While his lips captured your own, you could feel his hands working at your panties, sliding them off your legs and leaving you completely bare. Then you heard the clanking noise of a belt coming undone, as he unmistakably rid himself of his pants and boxers.
Then he was parting from your mouth, focus turned down to where the centers of your bodies met together. Your mouth fell open at the sight of… him. All seven-and-a-half inches, long shaft curving upward in arousal and precum leaking out of the pretty red tip. A single vein ran down the side, bulging from his unchecked want.
“Need you to be nice and loud for me, yeah?” He growled in that low tone of his, as he guided himself near your entrance. “Let the entire school know who you belong to— scream my name, bitch, and tell everyone who fucking owns you.”
His words jumbled around inside of your mind, making you feel lightheaded as he slowly began to slide into you. You widened your legs a little bit for him, wrapping them around his waist as he quickly bottomed out. The stretch was only slight and left you hissing with relief when he was fit into you at the hilt.
Without any warning, he was sliding out almost completely, before thrusting back in, hitting into you so roughly, that your spine jammed into the wooden bookshelf at your back. And just like that, he was setting a hellish pace. One that was sure to make you crumble before him — fall apart at the seams.
“Mhm— fuck!” You screamed out in a guttural voice, throwing your head back against the bookshelf desperately as his hips snapped against yours feverishly. You were gripping onto his shoulders so hard, running your nails down his back, that you were sure you’d leave red marks later. “Holy shit- feels so good!”
One of Hyunjin’s hands traveled away from your waist, long, nimble fingers digging into your scalp, yanking at the hair there. “Louder, bitch— take it all like the filthy slut that you are.” He shouted, voice coming out raspy as he pounded into you roughly.
In the very back of your mind, you distinctly heard the pitter-patter of rainfall against the nearby windowpane mixing in with the sounds of the two of you  — skin slapping against skin and wetness squelching. It was straight out of a porno and made your head swim with so many dirty thoughts. Breath catching in the center of your throat, you found your lips opening up and releasing a blood-curdling cry of pleasure.
Your noises of ecstasy seemed to compel Hyunjin forward with drive, as he rutted into you in a manic kind of way, thumb tracing figure-eight symbols into your inflamed clit. Almost like, if he didn’t get it out of his system, he’d never be able to live afterward — wouldn’t be able to breathe or think or speak. The tip of him hit up into that warm spot inside of you, and you clenched a little harder around this throbbing cock every time he teased you right there.
“Fuck— I can’t… I’m gonna…” You groaned out loudly. Your eyes flittered into the back of your skull from the way that he pulled at your hair at the same time that he fucked up into you.
Hyunjin grunted out lowly, hips snapping against yours with each thrust. “J—Just a little farther, doll face…” From the way that his domineering tone was slipping away, you could tell that he was also creeping near the edge of release.
You could feel the slip and slide between your legs, your essence coating every surface of your inner thighs and making everything feel silky and smooth. The intensity of his movements slowed down somewhat, the frenzy of his rocking leveling out as he chased your guys’ highs.
“Yes… right there!” You mewled out breathlessly just as the tip of him hit so far into you, that entire galaxies were cast against the expanse of your closed eyes. Your cheeks felt like they were on fire — the flush creeping down the column of your purple-marked neck and into the depths of your soul as he continued to circle your bundle of nerves.
Walls clenching around his cock that was buried deep inside of your warmth, you could feel the moment Hyunjin found that blissful space of his release. “I’m gonna come— fuck—” He rasped out, his voice on the quiet side as he lost all semblance of control.
Hips stuttering against yours, he made to pull out of you completely. But you found yourself shaking your head, eyes shooting open, and giving him a serious frown. “N—No… want you to… come inside…” Your head was empty of all thoughts, as you could do nothing more but focus on the way that he felt so close to you - so far deep inside.
At that, Hyunjin was offering you a tiny, satisfied grin. Then he was seizing up inside of you, cock stretching against your walls as he met his high. It overtook his entire system, overruling all other obstacles and forcing his head backward in pure, orgasmic bliss. The prettiest sounds fell from his plump, crimson, kiss-swollen lips, as he let himself slip down the cliff with ease.
The feeling of his release painting your walls in warm whiteness caused your entire body to convulse with pleasure, as you finally found your high. It was unlike anything you had ever experienced before… perfect and whole and so fucking hot. Bursts of rose and topaz and turquoise splashed across the inner workings of your mind, as your insides fluttered around Hyunjin’s cock that fit perfectly between your legs.
“Holy shit, that was…” You said breathlessly after you had begun to come down from your high. Cracking your eyes open you noticed the darkness still there in Hyunjin’s gaze, and the way that his eyes slit shut with want. The sound of the rain outside lulled your mind into a perfect state of peaceful limbo. “What?” You asked, raising an eyebrow his way in question. “What is it?”
He shrugged slowly, eyes coming away from your connected middles and locking with yours. “Nothing, just… I can’t fucking believe you just let me cum inside of you— with no protection.”
You could feel his cock softening inside of you, and finally, your legs stopped shaking around his waist. “Why? You don’t like the idea of that?” Beginning to pull away from him, you tried to yank as far away from his cock as you could. “If you didn’t like it, you should’ve—”
Hyunjin’s mouth was coming onto you in the next beat, capturing your lips up into a heated kiss, stealing the labored breath right from your lungs and sucking on your puffy bottom lip. “Just shut the fuck up, alright. I fucking loved it… it was so hot— you’re so hot. Makes me wanna come in you every single day.” You could feel him move between your legs then, as he began to fuck his seed back into your aching walls. In the back of your mind, you could feel his hand lazily working at you, pushing a single digit back into your entrance between his cock, thrusting in the cum that was splattered across your thighs.
Groaning out softly at his words, you placed your hands on his bare chest and pushed a little bit so that you could get a look at his face again. It was filled with so much lust and want and adoration, the sight of it all almost overwhelmed you entirely. “Well, I suppose I could allow that…” Your voice trailed off, as you dragged a single finger up the center of his chest and towards the sharp line of his jaw. “If it’s with you— then yeah, you can fuck me raw every day.”
Hyunjin let out a low noise, which sounded like a mix between a moan and a cry for help. “But we can’t, baby doll— it wouldn’t be smart and I’d never want to put you in any kind of uncomfortable position.”
You found yourself shrugging off his concerns nonchalantly, as you drove your hips a little forward, meeting his shallow strokes. You loved the feeling there, of wetness and silky essence. “Yeah, but… the good thing is, at least we’d know who the father is.”
At that, he was flashing you a wicked smirk, pearly white glinting against puffy, red lips. His tiny smile was the last thing you saw before he was tipping into you and fitting his mouth around yours again. “Oh, you devilish little minx… I think I’ll keep you for a very long time.”
In the back of your mind, you could feel him moving against you, cock already stiffening again just from your words and insinuations alone. But at that moment, you weren’t too worried about what he planned to do with you for the rest of the night. Because right then, all you wanted to focus on was his face, and the way he let you ring your arms around his neck, pulling at the hair at his nape as he pressed kiss after impassioned kiss to your mouth.
It turns out that your roommate Felix had been right after all. In the end, working with Hwang Hyunjin hadn’t been that horrible.
 It had been quite… nice.
Despite all of the bickering and shouting.
After a while, the rough bumps and edges of your rocky relationship seemed to mellow out between the tall bookshelves of the library. And before you knew it- he had you completely bending at his will — practically groveling at his feet for his love, attention, and care.
In the end, you supposed that that’s what you had always wanted from each other, and that’s why you had been so horrible to one another. If you couldn’t garner each other’s attention with regular conversations and friendship, the next best thing was to be rivals in your academics and throw insults at every opportunity you were offered.
But the thing about trying to hate Hwang Hyunjin — trying to hate such a smart, caring, passionate man — is that eventually, one’s willpower always breaks down, and they’re left in a pile of mess and limbs as they search out his affection.
Fin.

Hwang Hyunjin
Summary ~ lovely boy :( (Or dating head cannons for Hwang Hyunjin)
A.N. - ONE MORE TO GO WHOOOOOOO
A.N. 2 - if my describing of your relationship growing up didn’t make sense I’m sorry I don’t know how to word it 😭😭😭
———————————————————
Muse, love, beautiful, dove, love, angel, Cara Mia, mon Cher are a few names he’d give you def a lot of “my love”s in another language
Ive heard some mixed opinions (well not that many but a couple) saying that he would be reserved and only lovey behind closed doors
However i argue the opposite and agree with the positions on him being a true hopeless romantic at heart
Tall boy loves holding you as you sleep
Obviously wakes before you (Probably) with his horrendous schedule and just has a true “this is life, and i am living and loving being alive” moment when he just gets to look at you all peaceful and beautiful in his arms
Covers the corners of things with his hand so you don’t hit your head
Stfu he would paint you
Your hands, your face, you two together, or he would take a stab at paintings that are simply based on the memory/emotion but not paint the memory (like he would do that thing where people can see sounds and he would try to imagine your laugh and paint it-i'll die on this hill)
Taught you how to waltz anD DANCES WITH YOU ON THE BACK PORCH UNDER THE MOONLIGHT SOB
So dramatic like will burst into tears if he gets a paper cut or stubs a toe (i mean yeah it hurts but he’s dYING)
Unlike some of the members like Chan, he’s always with you, like you’re never alone and if he’s at rehearsals? Oh look, you’re here too. Meeting with JYP? Oh, can you come in too? He’s going shopping? He’s at the red carpet for versace? He’s-
You get it
Spiritually and physically attached
Spins you all the time
Context: every single time you come out of the bedroom after getting ready to go out or simply just coming out of the room he takes your right hand with his right hand and twirls you into his side before a required temple kissy and moves on/out the door
Required ritual or the world ends
I imagine you two as childhood best friends (yes, THAT trope) and i don’t necessarily think of it as one of you had a crush on each other as you grew up, you just grew up together in love as if it’s what you were taught to do
When you went to school and learned about the different types of emotions or had the healthy relationship talk you didn't think anything of it
I didn't know what love felt like until I turned 18 and you thought this adoration was a normal feeling
Until your friends talked about their lives and you realized most people don't have a bond like you do, most people don't feel like you do about your soulmate Jinnie
You didn't feel this way about the crushes you’ve had previously
Normal people don’t always put their one friend before everybody else
Either you went straight to Hyunjin and talked about it because you could talk to him about anything or not, he would realize the same thing, i can’t say if it was slower or faster than you, it depends i suppose
But i imagine the transition was just from the average hugs and hand holding and kisses on the forehead that were just normal things with no thought behind them became ones with love behind them
Puts you before himself
You’re cold means trade cold for his jacket he will suffer instead
You’re sick he’ll sacrifice his health to cuddle and coddle you all day long
You haven’t been eating well/at all he’ll give you his food after rehearsals
Lays his head on your chest
He’s baby :(
SLEEP ON YOUR CHEST AAAAAAAH
Like I haven’t thought about who cuddles how and who is big or little spoon but Hyunjin loves to just lay on your chest or lap
HES BABY
Please he’s dress you up in rich ass clothes even if it looks putrid together
The softest with you when you’re upset :(
Like you’d just not be doing too good be it sad or bad day and he could tell because you weren’t responding as energetically to his jokes and funny haha’s (please that autocorrected to Gaga’s) and his smile turns into a frown and he’d stop you from walking away by grabbing your shoulder that was farthest from him and turned you to look at him
When you kept your head low he ducked to meet your eyes and the sadness/tiredness in the made him sad :(
Takes care of you all day and sits with you on the floor in front of the couch on the fuzzy (I imagine white faux fur bc he’s bougie) rug
You sit in his lap facing him while his back is against the couch and he doesn’t break eye contact to let you know he’s listening so whenever you look back up at him from messing with his clothes he’s looking right at you
Please he’s so baby I could write so much more about hopeless romantic baby Hyunjin
ASO RQ I AM FOREVER OBSESSED WITH BOTH RED HAIR HYUNJIN (which is a trade of passage for Stays at this point) AND MAXIDENT TASTE (which is such a banger I will die on this hill again) SHORT BLUE HYUNJIN HAIR AAAAAAAH
N e ways he’s baby and so so lovely I love

"God Jinnie. You're so overdramatic!" You yelled as he gawked in disbelief. "Me? Overdramatic? That's rich coming from someone who let a whole other guy feel her up in front of her boyfriend." He said as you glared daggers at him.
"Whatever, he wasn't feeling me up. It was just a quick hug Hyunjin." You said as he shrugged his shoulders. "Looks like you wanted him to touch you." He said as you looked at him clearly annoyed now. "Maybe I should've." You retorted but that ignited something in Hyunjin. He walked over to you and grabbed your wrists.
"Wanna repeat that jagi?" He asked, his voice low and threatening. "Maybe I should've let him touch me since you won't." You spat, joking at first but once you saw the look in Hyunjin's eyes you knew you had screwed up. Big time. "Oh really? Then I'll show you why you're with me." He said licking his lips.
You don't know how it happened or what led to what happened next but the next thing you knew, you and Hyunjin were both half naked. Kissing each other on his bed. He slowly slid off the rest of the fabrics that clung to your body as he took his off as well.
"Damn jagi, you're so wet already." He said, his fingers making their way to your pulsating entrance, his finger pads teasing the entrance lightly. You bit your lower lips to hush any noises as he chuckled and moved his fingers, licking them. "Mmm... you taste good jagi..." He said as you blushed.
He then aligned himself. "You seem fine, don't seem like you need to be prepped and not to mention, you're on the pill so I'm not wearing a condom." He said as he slowly thrusted inside. You felt him whole, you squeezed the sheets. He chuckled at your reaction. "You're so cute..." He whispered in your ear, as he got closer to your ear. "Where did he touch you?" He asked as you barely were able to mumble out. "My hips... and neck..." Hyunjin smiled. "Thank you jagi, but is that all?" He asked as you nodded. Then he began to pull out. "Tell me jagi. Is that all?" He asked again as you nodded. "Words." He demanded, pulling half way out. "Bad girls don't get rewarded, you know." He stated, being more than half way out.
"He touched my ass..." You told him as he chuckled, tracing his fingers on your stomach. "Good girl..." He said pulling you in for a kiss. As you two kissed, he thrusted himself in and began to move at a bizarre pace. 'God, the stamina and speed of a dancer.' You thought as you moaned in the kiss. Hyunjin clearly liked this and held your chin watching your face. He enjoyed himself. He then moved you on all fours, holding onto your hips and thrusting into you once again. Taking your breath away.
He kissed your neck as he continued to thrust into you, causing you to just moan. You tried to stop yourself but whenever you did, you would find yourself moaning even louder because Hyunjin would force you to moan.
Then you felt a sting to your ass. You then felt Hyunjin's hand massage the spot. "Bet he can't make you feel like this." Hyunjin said cocky now, "Who's fucking you right jagi?" He asked as you gasped as he began to move even faster.
"Well..?" He asked, groaning as you didn't answer again. He then pulled out causing you to look at him. "Please... Jinnie... keep going..." You pleaded as he smirked. "Who's fucking you right jagi? I want you to tell the whole damn world." He said as you swallowed your pride. "You do... You fuck me so good Jinnie..." You told him as he thrusted inside again and the minute he did, you both had come from the sudden contact again.
After you both had rode out your climaxes. He cuddled you. "Sorry jagiya... was I too rough..?" He asked as you hit him on the head. "Ya think?" You retorted. He laughed as he kissed you.
“Sorry jagi. I'll fix my attitude problem but having make up sex after arguments aren't that bad." He said as you closed your eyes ready to sleep. "Don't make it a habit.”

Tumblr media
Paring: |Hyunjin x Reader|
Genre: Angst and Rockstar au
Warning: Alcoholism and Emotional struggles
Summary: Hyunjin, struggling with alcoholism, faces a nightly drinking routine. One evening, he impulsively contacts his ex-girlfriend Y/N
Words: 3.2k
Tumblr media
In the dimly lit room, the rhythmic pulse of a melancholic melody resonated, echoing through the empty whiskey bottles that adorned the space.Hyunjin sat hunched over a worn-out acoustic guitar, his fingers deftly strumming the strings as he poured his heart out through the music. The room was cloaked in a haze of cigarette smoke, the scent clinging to every surface like a reminder of his vice.
The room, once a sanctuary of creativity and passion, now bore the weight of Hyunjin's turbulent existence. The walls, once adorned with posters of music icons that had inspired him, were now obscured by shadows and neglect. The floor, covered in discarded crumpled sheets of lyrics and shattered fragments of broken glass, mirrored the shattered fragments of his own soul.
Each night was a battle against the demons within him, a fight he waged with the help of his loyal companions - the whiskey bottle and the willing strangers who found solace in his bed.
They offered temporary respite from the pain that gnawed at him, a fleeting escape from the relentless demands of his fame. But each morning, as the sun broke through the cracks in his blackout curtains, reality crashed down upon him like a tidal wave.
Tonight was no different. As he strummed his guitar with an almost desperate fervor, his voice raw and hoarse from years of abuse, Hyunjin's eyes caught a glimpse of his reflection in the cracked mirror across the room.
The image that stared back at him was a mere shell of the talented artist he once knew himself to be – haunted eyes filled with regret and self-inflicted scars etched upon his heart.
As he reached for another bottle of whiskey, his trembling fingers betrayed his internal struggle by the simple act of gripping the neck. A sigh escaped his lips, a heavy exhale that carried the weight of a thousand failed promises and shattered dreams.
The amber liquid poured into the glass, its familiar burn offering a twisted comfort. It was a dance he knew all too well, this nightly routine of drowning his sorrows and numbing his pain.
But tonight, something within him shifted. Perhaps it was the haunting melody that reverberated through the room, or the remnants of a memory lingering in his mind. With a sudden surge of impulse, Hyunjin reached for his phone and scrolled through the contacts until his thumb landed on a familiar name – Y/N.
Their breakup had been tumultuous, fueled by constant arguments over his neglect and drinking issues. It was a toxic cycle that had eventually torn them apart, leaving both wounded and scarred. Yet, despite the pain it had caused, Y/N remained a ghost from his past that refused to fade away entirely.
In an unexpected twist of fate, Hyunjin pressed the call button without hesitation. The sound of ringing filled the room, each tone a reminder of what once was and what could have been. And just when he was ready to hang up in defeat, a soft voice answered on the other end.
"Hello?"
The word came out as a whisper, carrying with it a mix of surprise and uncertainty. Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat at the sound of Y/N's voice, a melody that had once brought him immeasurable joy. He took a deep breath, summoning all the courage he had left within him.
"Y/N... it's me," he managed to say, his voice laced with vulnerability. The words hung in the air, heavy with the weight of his past mistakes and the uncertainty of what would come next.
There was a pregnant pause on the other end of the line, as if Y/N was contemplating her response. Hyunjin's heart pounded in his chest, anticipation mingling with regret. Just when he thought she might hang up or unleash her anger upon him, her voice cut through the silence.
"I never thought I'd hear your voice again," she said softly, her tone filled with a mixture of sadness and longing. "What do you want, Hyunjin?"
His mind raced, searching for the right words to convey the depth of his remorse and desperation. But with each passing second, his resolve weakened, leaving only raw honesty in its wake.
"I miss you," he confessed, his voice barely audible over the distant sounds of traffic outside his window. "I need you."
The line crackled with silence once more before Y/N responded, her voice thick with emotion. "You can't just say those words, Hyunjin, and expect everything to be alright. We've been down this road before, remember?"
Hyunjin felt the weight of her words like a punch to the gut. She was right, of course. They had been down this road before, countless times, only to end up with shattered hearts and aching regret. But tonight, something inside him had shifted. It was as if he had reached a breaking point, no longer able to bear the weight of his own self-destruction.
"I know, Y/N," he replied, his voice filled with a mix of desperation and determination. “ But please can you come over.”
Y/N's breath hitched at his plea, caught between the memories of their tumultuous past and a glimmer of hope for something different. She had witnessed Hyunjin's battle with alcoholism firsthand, had experienced the pain of being neglected and discarded in favor of his vices. It was a wound that ran deep, one that had taken time and self-reflection to heal.
As she listened to the vulnerability in his voice, an internal struggle ensued within her. Should she give him another chance? Was it wise to reopen old wounds and expose herself to potential heartbreak once more? Y/N took a moment to steady her racing thoughts, trying to make sense of the chaotic whirlwind of emotions swirling within her.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she spoke with a mixture of trepidation and determination. "Hyunjin, I... I don't know if visiting you is the right thing to do. We've both been through so much pain, and it's taken me a long time to heal."
But as she uttered those words, a small flicker of hope ignited within her. Maybe, just maybe, this was an opportunity for closure, for both of them to finally confront the demons that had haunted their relationship. With a deep breath, Y/N made up her mind.
"Alright," she said firmly, her voice brimming with newfound resolve. "I'll come over."
Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat at her response. He had expected resistance, hesitation, maybe even rejection. But the fact that Y/N was willing to see him again, to give him a chance to make things right, filled him with a sense of exhilaration and hope he hadn't felt in years.
"Thank you," he murmured, his voice laden with genuine gratitude.
Time seemed to both crawl and fly by as Hyunjin anxiously awaited Y/N's arrival. The walls of his apartment became stifling, suffocating him with the weight of anticipation. He paced back and forth, his mind racing with a flurry of thoughts and emotions.
In an attempt to distract himself, Hyunjin moved towards the grand window overlooking the city. The night sky was adorned with a tapestry of twinkling stars, their ethereal glow casting a gentle light over the world below. Yet, amidst this celestial beauty, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
As he gazed down at the bustling streets, filled with people consumed by their own lives and worries, Hyunjin wondered how he had ended up here - a successful rockstar whose life had become entangled in a web of self-destruction. The adoration of fans, the exhilarating rush of performing on stage had once been his solace. But now, it seemed like a distant memory overshadowed by his battle with addiction.
The doorbell pierced through his thoughts, pulling him back to reality. Hyunjin's heart thudded against his chest as he made his way to the entrance. Opening the door, he found himself face-to-face with Y/N, her eyes reflecting both apprehension and resilience.
Her presence filled the room, an intoxicating combination of familiarity and the unknown. Hyunjin couldn't help but be captivated by her, his eyes drinking in every detail of her appearance. The way her hair cascaded down her shoulders, the soft curve of her lips, the subtle vulnerability that lingered in her gaze.
It was as if time had stood still, and all that mattered in that moment was the connection they shared. Without a word, Y/N stepped into his apartment, the air thick with anticipation.
The apartment floor was littered in empty bottles and discarded clothes, a visual representation of Hyunjin's descent into chaos. Y/N's eyes scanned the disarray, a mix of sadness and concern etching itself onto her face. She had always known about his struggles with alcoholism, but seeing the evidence in front of her was like a punch to the gut.
Taking a deep breath, Y/N forced herself to push past the mess and walked towards the worn-out couch, the centerpiece of Hyunjin's makeshift living room. She gingerly sat down, keeping her gaze fixed on him, searching for any sign of change or redemption.
Hyunjin's heart raced as he watched Y/N settle into his space. The sight of her sitting there, amidst the wreckage he had created, made him acutely aware of how far he had fallen.
He had once been the embodiment of passion and charisma, commanding the stage with his electrifying presence. Now, he was a mere shadow of his former self, drowning in regret and self-pity.
As he approached Y/N, Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a surge of emotions welling up inside him. The weight of their shared history hung heavily in the air, suffocating them both with its unresolved tension. He wanted to reach out, to hold her and tell her how sorry he was for everything he had put her through. But the words caught in his throat, trapped by fear and doubt.
Y/N's eyes bore into his soul, her silence speaking volumes. It was a mixture of disappointment and longing, a silent plea for him to find the strength to change. Hyunjin felt his heart break under her gaze, the realization of how much he had hurt her crashing over him like a tidal wave.
"I'm so sorry," he finally choked out, his voice laced with raw emotion. "I never meant for it to end up like this. I never wanted to hurt you."
Y/N's expression softened, a flicker of hope crossing her features. "Hyunjin," she whispered, her voice tinged with sadness. "I still care about you, but I can't keep living in this cycle of pain and destruction. You need to want to change, to seek help, if there is any chance for us."
Hyunjin's eyes glistened with unshed tears as he took in Y/N's words. He knew deep down that she was right, that his reckless behavior had driven a wedge between them. He had pushed her away, neglected her needs, and drowned his sorrows in alcohol instead of facing his demons head-on.
But now, as he looked at Y/N sitting before him, her presence a beacon of hope in the midst of his darkness, something shifted within him.
The realization that he couldn't bear to lose her completely hit him like a freight train. He had to find the strength within himself to overcome his addiction and salvage what was left of their love.
"I want to change," he said, his voice quivering with sincerity. "I don't want this life anymore. I want you, Y/N."
A mixture of relief and cautious optimism washed over Y/N's face. She reached out and clasped Hyunjin's trembling hand, her touch offering him a lifeline amidst the storm. "I want to believe you, Hyunjin," she whispered, her voice filled with both vulnerability and determination. "But actions speak louder than words."
Hyunjin let his free hand caress her cheek as he leaned in closer, his breath mingling with hers. The familiar scent of her perfume mixed with the distinct aroma of alcohol on his own breath, a reminder of the battle he still had to overcome. His fingers traced the outline of her jaw, a gentle touch laced with both tenderness and remorse.
“let me prove it to you” Hyunjin said kissing Y/N softly, his lips moving against hers with a mixture of desperation and longing. In that moment, time seemed to stand still as they lost themselves in the intensity of their kiss, a bittersweet reminder of what they had once shared.
As the kiss deepened, Y/N felt a surge of emotions wash over her. The taste of Hyunjin's lips brought back memories of happier times, when love outweighed the pain and darkness. But she couldn't ignore the nagging doubt in the back of her mind, the fear that this could all be a temporary moment of weakness for Hyunjin.
Pulling away slightly, Y/N searched his eyes for any sign of sincerity. "Hyunjin," she whispered, her voice filled with both caution and hope, “We can’t go farther until you get help.” Hyunjin nodded “ I know but just for tonight.” Y/N looked at Hyunjin, her heart torn between the love she still felt for him and the fear of getting hurt once more.
She knew that giving in to his plea could mean falling back into the same destructive pattern they had been trapped in before. But she also couldn't deny the flicker of hope that burned within her, the belief that maybe, just maybe, this time things would be different.
With a heavy sigh, Y/N reluctantly nodded. "Just for tonight," she agreed, her voice tinged with both caution and longing.Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a surge of relief wash over him at Y/N's agreement. He knew that this was his chance, his one shot at redemption. The weight of his past mistakes seemed to momentarily lift from his shoulders as he leaned in closer, his lips brushing against Y/N's once more.
Their embrace held a sense of urgency and longing, a silent promise that they would make the most of this night, despite the uncertainty that loomed over their heads. As they stumbled towards the bedroom, emotions ran high, a mixture of passion and trepidation intertwined.
In the dimly lit room, Hyunjin's body trembled with anticipation as he gently guided Y/N to the bed. He wished to savor every moment, every touch, as if it were their last. His hands roamed across her skin, tracing invisible patterns that only they understood.
Y/N felt her heart pound within her chest as she surrendered herself to the intoxicating familiarity of Hyunjin's touch. Her body responded eagerly to his caresses, but her mind still wrestled with doubt. Could this night truly be a turning point? Or would it be yet another painful reminder of the cycle they had been trapped in?
As their bodies moved as one, their connection deepened. Every gasp, every moan echoedmwith the raw intensity of their longing. The air was thick with the scent of desire, mingling with the faintest hint of alcohol on Hyunjin's breath.
Outside, the city bustled with life, oblivious to the storm that raged inside their small room. In this moment, it felt as if they were the only two people in existence, locked in an eternal dance of love and pain. Every touch, every kiss, became a symbol of their shared past, a testament to the strength of their love.
Despite the darkness that lingered between them, they were united in this one perfect moment. As dawn approached, Hyunjin knew that he had to leave their bed and face the world that awaited him. But for now, they could lose themselves in each other, in the pure, unadulterated ecstasy of their reunited bodies.
As night turned to day, Y/N slipped from Hyunjin's arms and disappeared into the bathroom. In the mirror, she saw her reflection, her eyes swollen from tears and her skin glistening with sweat. A mixture of relief and regret washed over her as she wiped away the remnants of her emotions.
Y/N knew that this fragile truce between them was a fragile illusion, a temporary respite from the reality that still awaited them.
She couldn't ignore the fact that Hyunjin's battle with alcoholism had torn them apart in the first place. It had been a constant source of pain and heartache, an endless cycle of broken promises and shattered trust.
As she stood there, contemplating her next move, Y/N's mind flooded with memories of their tumultuous relationship. The late nights spent waiting for Hyunjin to come home, the countless arguments fueled by his neglect and inability to face his demons. The scars they both carried ran deep, etching their mark on their souls.
But there was something different about the way Hyunjin had called her last night. His voice held a hint of desperation, a plea for redemption that echoed through the phone lines. It was as if he had finally hit rock bottom and was willing to do whatever it took to climb back up.
Y/N couldn't deny that part of her still loved him, despite everything they had been through. And maybe, just maybe, this fleeting moment could be the catalyst for change. She yearned for a future where they could rebuild what was broken, where their love could triumph over their past mistakes.
As she stepped out of the bathroom, Y/N found Hyunjin asleep on the bed, his body sprawled across the sheets. The sight of him stirred conflicting emotions within her.
She couldn't help but notice the vulnerability etched on his face, the deep lines that spoke of battles fought and scars earned. In this moment, she saw the man she had fallen in love with all those years ago, before their world fractured into a million jagged pieces.
Y/N approached the bed cautiously, her heart pounding in her chest. She picked up her clothes from the floor, slipped them on quietly, and walked towards the door.
But as she reached for the doorknob, an unexpected surge of empathy washed over Y/N. She couldn't just walk away, not when Hyunjin seemed so fragile and lost in his slumber. With a sigh, she closed the door behind her and silently made her way back to the bed.
Gently, Y/N sat down on the edge, her fingers lightly tracing the contours of Hyunjin's face. She could feel the warmth of his breath against her skin, the rise and fall of his chest as he peacefully slept. It was a bittersweet sight—one that filled her with both longing and trepidation.
Y/N knew that one night together wouldn't solve everything. They had deep-rooted issues to confront, wounds that needed healing. But perhaps this moment, this unexpected twist of fate, was the universe's way of giving them another chance.
Leaning closer, Y/N softly kissed Hyunjin's forehead—a silent promise of forgiveness and hope. Then, with a newfound determination, she quietly rose from the bed once more, leaving a note beside him.
"I'll be back," it read. "Don't let this slip away."
With those words lingering in the air, Y/N gathered her courage and took her first steps towards a future that held uncertain possibilities. She knew it wouldn't be easy, that there would be moments of doubt and pain, but she was willing to fight for their love once more.

Hyunjin’s arm was around your waist comfortably and the soft blankets that you shared provided a much appreciated warmth. It was safe to say that neither of you had any intention of getting up. You were having a whispered conversation— just random thoughts and soft compliments that Hyunjin thought of as you played with his hair. These types of mornings were definitely your favourite.
You giggled softly as you finished braiding a section of Hyunjin’s hair and saw how cute it was on him, “Let’s stay like this for as long as we can.” You mumbled into his chest. The thought of getting up and leaving the warmth of the blankets was horrendous to you.
He hummed in agreement and was leaning down to kiss you, but the sound of urgent barking interrupted him. Soon a small fluffy canine jumped up on the covers in the form of Kkami, tongue hanging out cutely as he barked one more time.
You both smiled at first before you realised that Kkami had every intention of getting his morning walk in right at this moment which would entail one or both of you leaving your cuddling session.
“Kkami… can you wait until like… tomorrow-“ Hyunjin said, causing you to giggle and hug him tighter, “I want to stay with Y/n.” He pouted and looked down at Kkami as Kkami looked back up at him. Like father, like son.
“5 more minutes and then we’ll take him out.” You proposed, patting the empty spot on the bed next to you for Kkami to sit until then. Kkami settled down next to you but there was no intention of sleeping in his small, fluffy face. His wide eyes watched you and Hyunjin, waiting for when you would finally get up.
“Just 5 more minutes…” You mumbled, your head resting on Hyunjin’s chest again, and the blankets as closely bunched around you as possible to savour the warmth they brought you.

“Aw, c’mon Jinnie!”
“Y/n…” Hyunjin sighed. “You know I ran out of condoms.”
“Well we can get more…”
“It’s 1am… the stores are closed.” He groaned.
“But Jinnie-“
“No y/n. We can’t.” He interrupted as you sat yourself on his lap. “What if you get pregnant, hm?”
The both of you had been making out on the bed before the kisses got more needy and desperate. You couldn’t help feeling needy. He had reached into his drawer for a condom when realizing that he had ran out.
Your boyfriend felt bad as you sat yourself on his lap. He could tell you were needy and honestly he was too.
“But… but I want you.” You pouted while lightly grinding yourself on his lap.
Hyunjin took a deep breath; He was pretty sensitive to your touch and even this simple action had him twitching.
“Then… just kisses?” You said softly while looking at him.
“Yeah of course.” He smiled before pulling you in for a kiss. His lips were so soft and plump. You loved the feel of them as you passionately made out.
Slowly, you were inching your hands under his shirt, feel over his fit build. You couldn’t help it. He was just too hot.
Hyunjin moaned into the kiss when he felt you playing with his nipples, it stunned him but he couldn’t pull away from you as you held on tight.
“Baby-… what are you doing?” He asked with a breathy whimper, only pulling away slightly for a moment as you pinched on of his sensitive nipples
“I’m just touching you, baby.” You said with a smile as you kissed down his neck. “Cant handle a little touch?”
The man was getting worked up as you continued pinching his sensitive skin and lightly grinded on his lap. It wasn’t harsh but just enough to tease him.
“Y/n—… baby-…” he moaned as you lightly tugged on his hair and gave another sloppy kiss.
“What’s wrong, baby?” You teased. “You want something? Do you want to touch me?”
He nodded desperately and you lifted your shirt off along with your bra, leaving your breasts on full display for him to drool over.
Hyunjin leaned in and planted kisses on your breasts and groping the soft flesh with his warm hands.
The sight of your desperate boyfriend kissing and sucking at your breasts had you getting wet, so wet to the point where it was uncomfortable.
As he was mesmerized by your breasts, you were zipping his fly down and lightly rubbing his twitching cock over his boxers.
Your boyfriend moaned while sucking at one of your nipples and held on tight to your hips.
“Baby-…” he whined softly, with his mouth still attached to your skin. “Ah— y/n~”
“Aww… you like me touching your cock, baby boy?” You teased. “You want more?”
“Y-yes-” he whimpered while bucking his hips to feel your touch.
You quickly removed your sweats followed by your underwear before sitting back on his lap.
You put your arms around him and kissed his blushing cheeks before getting close to his ear.
“Jinnie~” you whimpered. “You want me to ride you? You wanna feel me around your cock…”
Your wet bare cunt over his boxers was making him lose it and desperation was building in him as your wetness stained his boxers.
“Y-yeah but—… mmmm-” he paused as if needing a moment to concentrate as you moved your hips. “W-want but—…”
“But what?” You said with fake concern, giving him puppy dog eyes. “I want you, Jinnie… I want you to fill me up…”
Hyunjin was conflicted. Why? Well maybe if he could think straight, he’d know why. There was a reason and as he tried remembering, you moved again.
“Jinnie~” you whined while grinding harder on him. “Fill me up, Jinnie~ I want to feel your cum~”
Hearing your sensual voice had him slowly losing his thoughts, as if seduced by your voice along. He wanted to listen to you. He wanted you to tell him what to do and to praise him. And now he was quickly pulling down his boxers.
You pushed him back to lay down before stroking his hardening cock.
This had him whining already as he was already so sensitive.
You bent down and gave a few kitten licks to tease him. This had the man moan out loud. Instantly , Hyunjin covered his mouth and you giggled at how red he got.
It wasn’t long before you were riding him. Bouncing on his cock as he lay there, gripping your ass and moaning.
The sight of your breasts bouncing after each bounce had his brain go haywire. How could your body be so beautiful??
“Jinnie-… fuck-…” you let our breathy moans as he bucked his hips a little. You were going faster and deeper and underestimated how big he really was; it had you going crazy. Although… not as crazy as him.
Hyunjin loved how your tight walls hugged him. His eyes rolled back and mouth slightly agape, his mind was going blank as you pleasured him.
“Jinnie you feel so good—… fuck-… so fuckin good—” you were panting while lightly grazing your nails over his stomach.
At first his noises were more of grunts but as he seemed to get more pussy drunk, they turned into whiny moans.
His nails dug onto your ass as he held on tight and you winced at the feeling.
“Fuck— baby I—…”
“Cum in me Jinnie~” you moaned while moving harder. “I want it- I want it!”
He came with a groan, followed by a higher pitched moan.
You came around the same time and knew that when you’d get off, cum would definitely be oozing out.
Hyunjin was panting, trying to get back to earth as you looked over him. In his drunken state, you appeared like a goddess. Practically glowing.
You stayed still on him and leaned in to kiss him which he let you dominate.
“Don’t worry, Jinnie.” You whispered while holding his cheek. “I’ll take care of it in the morning.”
His mind still wasn’t completely with you and his eyelids were heavy as you rubbed his cheek. He had cum a lot and all his energy went into that orgasm.
You were planning on staying on him until he feel asleep. You kissed his lips one last time as he closed his eyes and you could feel as his grip loosened on your ass.
So cute. He looked so cute.

⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Tears cascaded down your warm cheeks as you tossed yourself in your bed, the frustration and anger you were holding back finally catching up to you as quiet sobs escaped your lips. You hated how horrible the feeling of pure anger, as it always felt you were on the verge of bursting at the seams from how violent and erratic the emotion was as it overran your body. You had no idea what to do with it, always allowing it to linger til it overwhelmed you to the point of tears and surrendered to its burning grip. Your phone began to vibrate, which your hand mindlessly reached over for and picked up without second thought, as you knew it would be no other than Chan calling you at such a moment.
“Y/N… Are you okay?” concern dripped from Chan’s voice, while all you could muster out was a muffled grumble as you stuffed your tear-stained face into your pillows. “Right,” he responds, acknowledging your groan, “Well, I heard what happened through Changbin, so I called to check in on you.”
You take a deep breath in to soothe your hoarse throat from your onslaught of tears, praying your voice wouldn’t be too shaky as you spoke, “Well, I’m upset.”
“I don’t blame you one bit, I’d be just as upset as you are,” he reassured you gently, “Do you want to talk about it? Or do you need some more time to figure your feelings out?”
“I don’t know,” you mumble, turning your face away from the pillows so your voice was clearer, “I don’t know how to feel. It’s just a lot. It’s such a stupid reason for him to have just been so shitty to me for so long. He literally could’ve just asked me or talked to me about it instead of assuming.”
“Right, I agree. Even Changbin didn’t know about that being the reason,” added Chan, “I’m sure he lectured him on it because that is a crazy conclusion to jump to.”
“And I’m even more upset that was the conclusion he landed on! Why did he just assume I’d do something so terrible? Why did he not consider that I was trying to help him secure the role?”
“Sounds like he has an insecurity issue, if I had to guess, but who knows. You have every right to be upset, but there is another pressing matter we do need to address.”
You sigh, rolling onto your back as you use your free hand to rub your temples, “Yeah, I know. As upset as I am right now, I do still want to keep doing this project, but…”
“But…?”
“I don’t really… know if I can do that because I don’t wanna see his stupid face or go out on any other practice dates,” you huffed angrily, feeling a bit relieved to verbalize some of your feelings.
“Well, I won’t force you to go on another date if you still need time to cool off, but maybe it will help you get used to seeing his stupid face after this. Plus, Changbin did tell me that you have permission to yell at Hyunjin if you wanna get that out the way.”
You let out a small chuckle, unsurprised to hear that Changbin said such a thing, “I’m not going to yell at him, but I appreciate the offer. I don’t know, I’m still really worked up from the whole thing.”
“Give yourself time, you can let me know in the morning how you’re feeling and we can go from there, okay?” Chan asks, the gentle tone of his voice bringing you a sense of comfort.
“Okay, I’ll do that. Thanks Chan.”
“Of course, take care, Y/N.”
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
The next morning rolled by rather quickly and while it would’ve been a lovely day to stay in bed, your stubbornness caused you to find yourself walking to your third date of the week. You were still terribly upset at Hyunjin and forgiveness was not in the cards at this point, yet you had other pressing matters that did not allow you to wallow up in hatred and resentment for him. You had to set your feelings aside for a moment in order to make some sort of progress on this current acting project, as you were way too excited for how the final product would turn out and truly believed in the success of the film.
Although, you didn’t have high hopes for today, as you expected it to be a similar outcome to your previous dates. Today’s day was Chan’s idea, which was attending a local farmer’s market in your area that provided all sorts of family-owned shops to look through, including a variety of food to choose from. It was a bit last minute, but Chan knew your love for these small events, so he hoped this would bring you some joy, but also give you the opportunity to wander off from Hyunjin if needed, while also giving you both the chance to talk about something.
You were approaching the entrance to the park it was being hosted at, checking the time on your phone relieved to know you were on time. Honestly, while Hyunjin would probably be late once again, you didn’t mind the chance to enjoy bits of the market alone, especially on such a sunny day during these winter months. However, you were completely stunned to find Hyunjin waiting by the entrance as well, nonetheless waiting five minutes earlier than the time Chan had told you. He stood there awkwardly, both hands in the pockets of his coat as he bounced on the balls of his feet nervously, his eyes widening when his gaze finally lands on you.
You approach him with caution and a raised eyebrow, not completely believing the sight before you, “I didn’t expect you to be here so early,” you state curtly, trying your best to remain civil and cordial despite yesterday’s events.
“Well,” he stammered, his fingers jittering in his pockets, “I think I owe you an apology, and I thought showing up on time for once was one way to show that I am being genuine.”
“An apology?” you question, your ears not believing his words.
He sighs nervously, brushing a hand through his hair, “I have… realized I was entirely wrong about the situation, and I am truly sorry for that and for treating you so horribly the past two years we’ve known each other.” You wear an unconvinced expression, unsure what could’ve caused him to have a change of heart overnight, especially since he was just in deep denial the day before. He continues his statement after picking up on your apprehension, “I ended up reaching out to director Han about the situation and he… he told me how much you vouched for me when he spoke to you.”
You nod your head as you take in his words, “I see, well, I’m glad you’ve come to that realization and I accept your apology,” a hopeful look appears on his face, “But, I do need time before I can forgive you because the way you’ve treated me has really hurt me. And the fact that you thought I’d ever do that to you hurt me a lot too.”
His expression falters, but he offers an understanding smile, “I completely understand, I honestly do not even deserve your kindness right now, so thank you for being kind about this.”
You return his smile with a tightlipped one, still not entirely believing the sudden change in him, but you couldn’t lie, it did feel a bit nice to see him so timid and meek, and hearing an apology come from him did help loosen the knot of rage that laid dormant in your stomach. “Well,” you clear your throat awkwardly, trying to find a way to continue the day, “Do you want to head in?”
“Sure, lead the way,” he responds, his hands returning to his coat pockets as he anxiously trailed behind you. Eye bags hung on his face, indicating the restless night he had suffered due to the guilt he had been digesting since his phone call with the director. Hyunjin felt horrible after the revelation he had, feeling nothing but the heavy, deep seated weight of anxiety and guilt resting atop his chest. Even the sight of you made the feeling worse, facing the reality of how his actions have affected you all this time was a whole new hurdle he had to learn to conquer. The least he could do was try to be as kind as he could be from here on out, and brace himself for whatever angry slurry of curses you had for him, but how could Hyunjin forget?
The volatile version of you he had become used to these past two years was not who you truly were, but something he provoked out of you through his incessant insults and stale attitude. In reality, you were an extremely kind and patient person outside of the context of your relationship with him, and your reaction to his apology was evidence of that. He couldn’t help it, he felt like such an idiot for thinking you, of all people, would have ever sabotaged an important role for him, and he only further deluded himself in that belief by pushing you to the point of petty toxicity.
The best he could do was remain quiet as he followed your course through the various stalls, the shame only intensifying when he would witness your eyes widen with joy whenever you found an item that interested you, and how you even took the time to converse with each stall owner about their products. The genuinity in your nature was something he couldn’t believe he had denied for so long, disillusioned himself so far to have forgotten it. All for what? Because he couldn’t accept his own failures, or face the daunting insecurities about his talents that he held so closely to his heart? Perhaps it was your self-assuredness that caused a hint of jealousy to brew into this mess he had concocted today, your very confidence that struck a chord of envy within him. He didn’t quite understand what led him to act in such a manner, he could only guess why he was the way he was, but all he knew was that he owed you a lifetime of favors.
At the moment, he stood uncomfortably by your side as he watched you peruse through a few crocheted trinkets a stall had, afraid to disrupt the bits of peace you could’ve had with him tagging along. In all honesty, to an outsider, he probably looks like a child who got dragged along with his parents on a day out. You sigh as you place the trinket down, turning your head to catch his eyes darting around nervously, “Hyunjin,” you speak. He startles upon hearing his name, not expecting you to ever pay him any mind today. “I get this is awkward, but you can loosen up a bit. I don’t bite,” you chide with a hint of playfulness in an attempt to lighten the mood.
He lets out a strained exhale, acknowledging your words, “You’re right, I just don’t want to make you feel weird or uncomfortable,” he confesses.
“Well, I think staying quiet doesn’t help that cause much, does it?” you ask rhetorically before adding on, “It’s okay. Have you seen anything you like from any of the stalls? I really like what this one has,” you muse, a gentle smile taking your features as you hold up a small crocheted keychain of a  jellyfish with a wobbly smile on it, “He’s kinda silly looking, I think I might take him home with me.”
Hyunjin lets out an airy chuckle, his shoulders relaxing a tad, “He definitely is funny looking,” he replies, “Ah, I don’t know. There’s so much here, this is my first time going to something like this.”
“Oh, this is your first time? You’ve never been to the farmer’s market ever?”
“Nope, never been, but this is nice. It’s a lot better than I imagined.”
“You’ve been missing out, I love going to these. I try to go every now and then whenever I’m free,” you took out your wallet, handing the vendor cash to pay for the keychain, “There’s always fun knick knacks here, and everyone is so sweet. You sure there’s nothing you wanna stop by before grabbing some food?”
His eyes scan the stalls surrounding you both, but you notice them lingering at a small jewelry stall that sold handcrafted rings, ones that definitely fit his aesthetic. “Come on,” you motion him to follow you to the stand, “Maybe you’ll see something you’ll like.” He follows behind you, still in a timorous manner, but you could see the way his eyes brighten once he realizes where you were dragging him off to. Although you were far from friends, it didn’t mean you weren’t aware of how particular he could be when it came to fashion, and you wanted him to at least get something out of today after suffering intense awkwardness.
It was now your turn to watch Hyunjin look through the assortment of jewelry the owner had laid out and of course, he was gravitating towards the silver rings, each with their own intricate designs that demonstrated the amount of artistry and talent the owner held. He looks overwhelmed with the amount of choices before him, indecisive as he holds two different rings in his hands, modeling each to figure out which one he liked best. “Why not just get both of them?” you ask.
“Both?” he ponders on the suggestion, “I guess I could do that.”
“Or,” you start, picking up a ring that you thought would suit his taste, “get this one instead,” you hand him the ring, a knowing smile on your face.
His mouth fell in surprise at it, slipping it on his finger as his eyes marvelled, “Wow, this one is so nice,” he mumbles while now placing the two previous rings away, “How did you know I’d like this one?”
You shrug nonchalantly, turning away from him, “You know, we were friends once,?” you remind him, “Just get it, find me by the food stands once you pay for it.”
He stays in his place as he watches you walk away, once more left speechless by your kindness as he begins to wonder how you were able to treat him as such. The guilt that made its home in his stomach began to rumble, the bitter taste of it overpowering his sense as he comes to terms with just how wrong he was all this time, and how awful he had been to someone as gentle as you.

The day had come to an end, and surprisingly the latter half went better than either of you could have expected. In a way, it was like time hadn’t passed as you both chatted effortlessly over food from whatever food truck caught each of your attentions. You both caught up on what you missed in each other’s lives during your heated rivalry, and somehow, every part of the conversation felt natural, nothing felt out of place and it was almost as if the past two years didn’t exist.
It was incredibly unsettling for you, and you started to feel a bit conflicted on where your anger lied with the boy as the time you spent softened your heart. Although, you knew you couldn’t allow him back into your life that easily, as his behavior deserves some sort of consequences, so you decided you couldn’t allow yourself to surrender that easily. Not all because you found yourself missing the friendship you once had with him, that wasn’t a good enough reason to overlook his actions. You cursed yourself silently as you arrived home, yet there was a small voice in the back of your mind that tried to convince you that perhaps it was best to let this happen in the name of the acting project you were both on.
No, no, you remind yourself, he definitely doesn’t deserve your forgiveness or trust that easily.

Tumblr media
You're not sure if you're awake anymore or just a frozen sack of meat staring at a painting like your life depended on it.
"See? I told you, y/n! She looks like you." Your friend, Lia squeals excitedly. You wish you could share even half of her enthusiasm.
You knew this trip to the museum was a bad idea the moment you got on the bus. This entire trip has just not been clicking with you the way you'd expected it to.
You were always a history lover, though. You'd read pages and pages about kings and queens and ancient politics and everything along those lines. This trip was supposed to be equally enlightening but you'd spent the entire day trying shake off an odd, eerie feeling that seems to have latched on to your back.
"Yeah.." you mutter to Lia.
Your eyes run along every single stroke of the painter's brush. The red hues of the curtains, the golden shine of the crowns, the green frills on the Prince's overcoat and the brown contour of the Princess's face.
The face that somehow mirrored yours.
"Maybe she's a far, far ancestor of yours?" Lia suggests, "Who knows, y/n!"
There's no way a Princess from the 1800s could be your ancestor; you'd know if you had even a bit of royal blood coursing through your veins.
And in that one possibility out a million, even if you did have a royal ancestor, there's no way she'd look exactly like you. No way.
"Or it could be your past life, y/n." Lia's voice goes into a whisper, her eyes widening behind her square rimmed glasses, "Maybe you were the princess."
You only sigh in response.
You walk closer to read the placard placed near the foot of the painting.
Hwang Yeji
Painter, 1795-1856.
Portrait of His Royal Highness Prince Hwang Hyunjin and the Royal consort
1827
Oil on canvas
Her Royal Highness princess Hwang Yeji was born in 1795 to His majesty King Chung and the royal consort Her Majesty Queen Sayuu of the then kingdom of Clé. She also has a twin brother, Prince Hwang Hyunjin who is believed to be older than her by a few minutes.
“It is said that the Crown Prince and Princess have had quite a tragic story, and Princess Yeji had gathered strentgh to complete this painting a long time after her brother and sister in law were tragically killed.” Lia reads out the rest of the sentences.
"I'm taking a picture, oh God! This is so fucking awesome." Lia fishes out her phone and starts clicking pictures of the painting, muttering how the similarity between these you and the Royal Consort is giving her goosebumps, "Should I make a video too?"
Her voice drains out into the background as a throbbing pain spreads across your head and eyes and you see odd flashes like the scenes of a movie playing without any particular order; castles, ball dances, a crown colored in blood and a boy wounded in your arms.
An unexplainable force pushes you closer to the painting and the moment your fingers touch the rough wooden frame, your headache stops.
"Y/n, you're not allowed to touch the pai-"
Lia's voice gets quieter and quieter till your vision goes black and your body goes limp.
*
When your eyes flutter open after god knows how long, you find yourself in a rather unexpected place.
The room is bright. Too bright for your liking. Yet the sparkling white marble of the walls and floor look beautiful against the dark brown vintage furniture of the room.
You stir against the feather soft mattress of the bed when a concerned voice calls you from across the room.
"Oh my darling! You're awake!" The voice is gentle, "We were so worried about you, y/n."
Your vision is still hazy but you see the figure of a lady walking toward you.
"Um, where am I?" You ask, rubbing your temples.
Until a while ago, there was unbearable pain but now you feel fine.
"Oh dear," the lady sits at the foot of your bed, "You're home. Do you not remember?"
Home? Since when did home go from a 3 BHK apartment in the heart of the city to this huge, fancy room?
"There..there has been some kind of mistake, ma'am."
When you try to sit up, she pushes you back down. Gentle but insistent.
"Dear, you need to rest. The physician will be here in the evening and I am to stay here with you until Hyunjin arrives, okay?"
She smiles at you and finally, you are able to take a closer look at the woman. Her hair is graying but long, a silver crown rests on her head gracefully and she wears the most beautiful silk gown you'd ever seen. Her face is wrinkled yet when she smiles, one can tell that she must have been quite a beauty back in the day.
"W-who might you be, ma'am?" You ask, nervous, heartbeat in your throat.
You were excited when you saw the fancy room earlier but now it's getting real creepy. Why is this random woman talking to you as if she knows you?
"Oh, dear, y/n," She places a hand on your forehead, and you flinch, "I'm your mother in law. Queen Sayyu. Do you really not remember?"
Your breath gets caught in your throat.
Queen Sayyu. You'd heard that name before. That painting in that museum you were in. Lia was right beside you. What the fuck happened after that?
"I think you're mistaken, ma'am. I am a student. I cannot be married." You mutter, "Did you find my phone when I was brought here? I could call my friend. She must be around." Because there's no way Lia would leave you alone with this creepy old lady with some serious personal issues, right?
But then again, Queen Sayyu was a real person. And for all you know, her daughter in law did resemble you.
Did you perhaps travel back in time? Or was it just your brain making you see weird things?
"Phone? What's that?" She asks.
You sigh, and tap your thighs where your pant pockets once resided but now, your fingers slide across the softest silk.
"Where are my clothes?" You jump out of the bed, getting worried by the second.
Why were you dressed in a blue silk gown? You don't even remember ever buying one.
Panic seizes you when Sayyu tries to touch you, "Ma'am, would you please tell me what’s going on? I'm genuinely confused!"
"I am telling you the truth! You, y/n Princess of The Northern Kingdom was married off to my son Hwang Hyunjin a few months back. " she sucks in a deep breath, "Did you perhaps lose your memories after the accident? Did you hit your head too hard?"
You are about to open your mouth to reply when you hear a gentle knock on the door.
"Y/n, it's Hyunjin. "
Sayyu passes you a worried look before she rushes off to let her son in.
"It's worse than I thought, " you hear her whisper as the front door opens, "She has amnesia!"
You sit on the edge of the bed, running a frustrated hand through your hair.
As if the mother wasn't enough, the son is here too. Brilliant.
"Please talk to her. She is saying peculiar things like some thing called phones and some girl called Lia and she kept asking who I was!" Sayyu continues whispering to Hyunjin, with no active reaction from the latter.
You wonder if Sayyu was really stupid enough to think you couldn't hear her.
"I'll talk to her." A male voice finally replies, "You should rest, mother. You've been here all day."
For some reason, you cannot bring yourself to have a look at your supposed husband.
You have a fleeting memory of the painting you'd seen back at the museum but you weren't sure if the Prince really did look as attractive in real life.
You hear the front door open and close, and then heavy footsteps approach you.
"Is this some new plan of yours? Trying to get attention again?"
Wow. What the actual hell!
You snap your head to look at him, "Excuse me?"
But oh, boy was he beautiful. Long blonde hair, golden eyes and blue silk robes, he carried it all so elegantly.
"Y/n, please. I know you didn't actually lose your memories. So stop pretending and tell me why you are doing it."
For a second, you almost feel bad for yourself.
Well not you you but the princess you.
It must have been hard marrying someone like this. But then again, good looks hardly ever guarantee good behavior.
"I am not pretending. I genuinely do not remember anything, Hyunjin! Why do you have to be so mean?"
"If you really do not remember anything then why are fighting with me like you do always! See, I was right. You are lying."
You clench your jaw, frustrated, " I am fighting because whether I remember you or not, you're still a piece of shit!"
Hyunjin's eyes widen in shock. Of course he never expected his graceful wife to ever use such profanities. He looks betrayed.
"Now get the hell out of my room."
You climb back into the bed, cover your head with the quilt and shut your eyes.
Before you know it, you are sleeping soundly with no idea that your poor husband is spending the night on the sofa in your room
*
The next morning, you are woken up by your maids followed by the most delicious breakfast ever.
They prepare a bath for you, chose a gorgeous gown from the closet, and even style your hair. You do not even have to lift a finger to get these things done.
And all of a sudden, your odd reality doesn't feel as horrible anymore.
You remember the placard placed near that painting, and all your fears vanish. It was written that Prince Hyunjin and his wife would be killed in a few years and you are positive that when you die in this world, you will wake up in your original world.
Yes, the dying part is scary but might as well enjoy the luxury that comes with the fear.
In the afternoon, you find yourself sipping tea and breathing the fresh air of the rose garden behind your palace quarters.
"So you are...Nabi. My lady in waiting?"
Nabi is a cheerful, smiley young woman. She also seems to be closer to the princess version of yourself than most other maids.
"Yes, your Highness, " she sighs sadly, "It breaks my heart to see you like this. Do you really not remember anything?"
"Um, I remember some things. Like the king's and queen's name and princess Yeji. I also know that I am from the Northern Kingdom."
You also know that you'd die in around two years and Hyunjin's sister will make a painting to let the world know what a tragic story you had, but you decide to not say that.
Nabi pouts, "I'm sorry, your Highness. I wish I were there when you fainted. Maybe I could have helped you."
You tap your fingers against the porcelain cup in your hand, "Could you tell me exactly what had happened that day? Did I fall down? Or something else happened?"
"Oh, you didn't fall, no," she chuckles, "All the women of the Royal family were invited to this art gallery. While looking through some paintings, you suddenly fainted. We brought you back immediately."
"The physician check you and confirmed that you weren't pregnant, much to the Queen's dismay. She was looking forward to becoming a grandmother."
You almost spit the tea out, "What! Where did that even come from?"
Nabi smiles, "Well, why else would a newlywed bride faint? Anyway, I knew you weren't pregnant. You'd told me the prince and you haven't done that, you know."
Wow. The princess 'you' really told this girl way more than needed.
"And why exactly did I say we hadn't fu- I mean done that yet?" And now you were asking more than necessary.
"Because he's cold to you." She says, "But you know, even when you told me that, I knew he loved you and only you. He has never been involved with another and I saw him keep a portrait of yours in his private study room."
You are at a loss of words. How does one even react to this kind of information? Should you be happy for the princess 'you' or should you be jealous of her?
You force a smile, "How exactly did you find out about the portrait?"
"What portrait?" A male voice says from somewhere behind you.
Nabi and the other maids quickly get on their feet and greet their prince as this ethereal man walks out from behind the tall bushes.
"Hm? What are you guys talking about?" He asks, a gentle smile on his lips.
Oh so now he smiles?
"Just palace gossip." Nabi says, her gaze low.
"Is it true, my princess?" Hyunjin walks toward you and takes your hand in his, pressing his lips gently to your fingers.
You hate the way your cheeks heat up at the contact.
"Y-yeah. Obviously." You say.
He smiles widely, wrapping an arm around your shoulders, "Could you ladies please excuse us?"
When Nabi and the maids leave, you find yourself alone with the prince again and you're not sure how you feel about that.
Last night, he was so mean to you and now he's acting like a lovestruck man? What is the meaning of this?
You push him away, "What?"
He sighs.
Today, his blonde hair is tied half way up, and he wears a diamond crown. He looks more sophisticated from last night. More prince-like.
"What?" You demand again.
"Look, I'm sorry about yesterday, okay? I'm still not convinced that you've lost your memories but can we put this behind us for a while?" He says, "Can you come with me to the study room? I have to show you something."
You follow him without question.
The palace complex is still a maze to you and other than your living quarters, you don't know much about the rest of the palace.
He leads you through a staircase to a huge room on the top floor of one of the buildings. Or was it the main palace where the king and queen resided? You weren't sure anymore.
"Yeji was very worried to hear about your amnesia, by the way." Hyunjin mutters as he lights the candles in the room, "She'll be back by next summer."
"Where has she gone?" You say, mindlessly staring at the huge collections of books in this place. A huge chandelier hangs from the center of the room and as the Hyunjin continues to light numerous candles and lanterns around the room, your eyes finally take in the whole picture of the room. For a second, you almost felt like you were watching a Renaissance period drama.
Hyunjin stops in his tracks, "y/n, do you really not know?"
He turns around and looks at you strangely, as if expecting your eyes to give away the truth of this supposed amnesia.
And when he sighs, you know that he didn't find what he desired.
"She's training under a really famous dance academy. If she's lucky, she might be able to clear her final year dance exams this year." He says.
You want to ask him if art doesn't interest her but that might make him doubt you again. You cannot afford to do that when Hyunjin is the only person here who you trust even slightly.
Nabi is honest and Sayyu is kind but you find it hard to match their energy.
"So what did you want to sho-" You stop mid sentence when your eyes fall on a huge painting behind Hyunjin's study table.
Your painting.
"It's me", you gasp, "It's..my portrait."
"Yeah. I just finished it today, actually." He rubs the back of his neck, "I'll hang it in your room once the paint dries."
In the painting, you are sitting on a chair, dressed in the finest white dress you'd ever seen. An elegant tiara sits on the crown of your head, and your lips are stretched into a smile.
"Hyunjin..." you are at a loss of words.
Nabi was right; Hyunjin did have a portrait of you in his study. What she didn't know is that he was the one who made the painting while all this while you were under the impression that Yeji was the artist in the family.
"It's good right?" He asks, unsure.
"Yes. I love it," you reply, "When is this image from?"
Hyunjin frowns at your words, again scanning your eyes as if looking for some hint of lies in your words.
"Y-you don't remember?" He asks.
"What?"
He sighs, looking rather disappointed, "It's from our wedding, y/n."
*
Hyunjin is starting to wonder if you'd actually lost your memories.
The next few days, he tries to subtly engage you in conversations regarding your wedding day and your life before getting married and by the time the week ends, he is sure you'd lost your memories.
He hated to admit it, but he did like the fact that you couldn't remember the times when he was so horrible to you.
Now he can start anew. A clean slate.
"You've been spending suspiciously a lot of time with me, Hyunjin." You had asked him one evening, munching up a cookie, "What's up?"
He chuckles; he's come to enjoy this new side of yours. It's a completely different version of your other self- the one who grew up training to be the lady of a house.
"Nothing," he grabs a cookie for himself, "We're having a ball this evening, by the way. It's mother and father's 30th anniversary."
Your eyes widen with excitement, "Really?! We're having a ball ball. Like we wear dresses and all? And we dance under a huge chandelier?"
Hyunjin is taken aback; you used to hate balls. Or any public gathering for that matter.
"Y-eah, well. Yes." He gulps.
"Oh my god. I need to talk to Nabi. I have so much to prepare, oh my god. Why are you only just telling me," you grab another cookie and sprint towards your room, "Also will there be a fountain where wine flows instead of water? That would be so cool!"
Hyunjin gives you a soft smile; no such fountain was planned for the ball but if it meant he'd see you this excited, he could pull a few strings.
*
The rest of the hours leading upto the ball is a blur; you only remember running from the dressing room to the ball room to your bedroom and back to the dressing room and as for Hyunjin, the day goes slower than ever.
He only got to see flashing glimpses of you running from place to place and somewhere, deep down in his heart, he missed your attention.
It was a jarring realization; him enjoying your company and attention and even craving it at times. He couldn't quite digest this unfamiliar feeling yet, he realised, he wasn't unwelcome to it.
"Are you ready? They're waiting for the Prince and Princess, y/n. We don't want the Royal families of other kingdoms thinking we were out doing something unholy now, would we?"
Hyunjin has this mischievous smile on his, leaning against the door Frame of your dressing room.
Is he flirting? You wonder.
You sigh, "I don't think I look good enough, Hyunjin. I look..weird."
You run a hand over the lustrous material of your ball gown. You feel very foreign in your body all of a sudden.
"I don't think so, my lady," Hyunjin steps into the room, a hand gentle on your waist, "I think you look breathtaking. What would you say, Nabi?"
Nabi hides a blush while you stare at your husband; wide eyed and mouth gaping.
What has gotten into him lately? Is he trying to annoy you or are these words coming from somewhere else?
You shake the latter thought away from your mind. How could this beautiful Prince from centuries before your time find you breathtaking?
Impossible.
You swallow your nervousness and turn on your heels.
"If you say so," you shrug, "Let's go, come on, Hyunjin. "
Chuckling softly to himself, Hyunjin follows suit.
The evening is great but you don't remember much by the time it ends; you somehow end up getting drunk on wine from the wine fountain and Hyunjin has to subtly carry you away from the ball room.
"Hyunjin ~" you slur as he covers your body with a duvet, "Do you ever wonder if a parallel universe exists?"
He lies down beside you, sighing, "Maybe. Why do you ask?"
"I know it exists. I am living proof that it exists, you know," you say, passionately, "I'm not bluffing."
Hyunjin laughs, " Of course, you're not. How could you lie?"
He pushes strands of hair behind your ear.
Your heart thumps against your chest; you love that feeling.
"If there was a parallel universe, I hope I end up with you." You giggle, snuggling into his chest.
Hyunjin freezes for a moment, breath stuck in his throat and eyes not even blinking.
But when he feels you relaxing into him, he let's his shoulders slouch.
"If there was a parallel universe, I hope I end up with you too."
The only reply he gets from you is a snore.
*
The next few months are smooth as the calm sea, pleasant as the spring wind, beautiful like the blooming of roses.
You'd come to adore Hyunjin- that was for sure. You'd come to love his presence and crave it everytime you guys were apart. He had become like the anchor to your ship; and you, his.
"Yeji's coming home tomorrow, by the way. How much do you remember of her?"
"Just her face," and the fact that when you're both killed brutally one day, she'd make a painting of you two, immortalising your love.
The thought causes your stomach to stir; you didn't want to go back to the reality you knew.
All of a sudden, you find yourself wishing you had more time with this man- this man who loved nothing more than lying in your arms, your naked bodies as close as one could get, this man who had made you feel safe when you were suddenly sucked into this unknown world, this man who loved you to death and beyond.
Hyunjin snuggles in closer(as if he could get any closer) and kisses your temple oh so tenderly. Then he moves to your cheek, then nose and then mouth.
His lips are plump and warm and inviting, and before you know it, you both find yourself falling into the wonderful ocean of pleasure. Over and over again.
The next day when Yeji arrives, you are skeptical about approaching her but she was more than happy to see you. Before the day ended, she'd already invited you to a tea party in the gardens, and by the week ended, you guys had become great friends.
She was just so comfortable to talk to and so friendly. She was so curious yet sweet. How could you not be her friend, you often wondered.
It was on one such afternoon picnic that Nabi came running to you.
"His Majesty is injured! He was attacked during his hunt."
You didn't waste a second before storming off towards his room, not caring for your supposed lady etiquette anymore.
No God, please, not yet.
You reach your bedroom, out of breath and sweaty, and Hyunjin was sitting at the edge of the bed, getting his wounds cleaned.
Your heart drops into your stomach.
There is a big gash on his arm; bleeding profusely even though the physicians were trying to stop it. There are blue and purple all over his face and stomach, and a few more smaller cuts on his entire body.
And he looked terrified and pale and sad.
"Hyunjin..." you run to him.
He looks up at you, teary eyed.
"Y/n...I'm okay." Is his first instinct, "Don't cry."
You sit beside him and press a long kiss to his temple, your heart feeling lighter when the physician signals to you that the bleeding has stopped.
"Who was it?" You ask
Yeji stands in front of the two of you; tears streaming down her face.
"Whoever it was, I'll kill them with my own two hands, goddammit!"
"Calm down, guys." Hyunjin sighs, "I didn't see a face. But they were wearing a very familiar perfume. I wonder who it could have been."
You swallow nervously, "Just..just stay safe okay?"
Hyunjin smiles at you, "Of course, my love."
An odd mixture of expressions grace Yeji's face.
*
While Hyunjin recovers, you make sure he does not step out of the palace unaccompanied.
You're getting his food tested, his room sanitized, and every gift that he receives has to go through multiple rounds of security checks. You know what is to come, but some silly, silly part of you wants to prevent it.
"You're being a little too paranoid, I think." Hyunjin tells you as the servants set up the dinner table for him, "I'm gonna be fine, y/n."
"Hyunjin, just," you sigh, reminding yourself to be patient with him, "Just please let me do what I'm doing. It helps me sleep at night."
With a gentle wave of his wrist, Hyunjin dismisses the servants.
He grabs your hand and pulls you in to sit on his lap.
"Y/n, I'm literally right here. I'm stronger than you think. I'm not planning on leaving you any time soon." He presses a kiss to your temple.
A wave of realization washes over you, and you find yourself tearing up, melting into his embrace.
How did you even come to love this man that you'd only ever heard of in history books? Was this even real? If you pinch yourself hard enough, would you wake up to a world where Hyunjin is not yours anymore?
"Just shut up, goddammit, " you say to him, "Hold me, please."
You say it like a request, but really, you were begging him to hold you. To make you feel safe, even if it's for a short while. Because for all you know, the end could be closer than expected.
That night, you and Hyunjin fall asleep in each other's embrace. There was nothing more pure, raw, or beautiful than what you felt with him. In a span of a few months, you'd fallen madly in love with the prince.
It's funny, huh, how you never found love back in the modern world yet here you were, sharing your whole heart with Hyunjin?
Maybe it was always meant to be like that and maybe when this beautiful daydream ends someday, you could look back at it and relish these memories.
"Y/n, get up." You're pulled out of your sleepy thoughts when you feel someone tap you on the shoulder. Urgent.
"Nabi? What time is it?" You whisper back, gently putting Hyunjin's head of the pillow, "What's happened?"
Nabi shakes her head, "The Royal investigators have got some news. A possible group of assassins is heading to the palace as we speak. My lady, we must rush you to safety immediately. The soldiers will escort the Prince."
Your heart hammers against your chest.
"I-I can't leave him. He's not recovered yet. He cannot fight!"
"Your majesty, please. I beg you," Nabi replies, "These are the orders of The Queen. I have to escort you to where the ladies are. "
With a tight throat, you quietly follow Nabi out of the room.
She leads you down through a secret tunnel between Your Palace and The King's, that leads to a dark corridor with a single metal door at the end.
"This way, your majesty. The princess and the queen are inside. I'll bring you news from to time so there's nothing to worry about." Nabi says as she unlocks the door from the outside. She passes the lantern to you.
The moment you step into the dark room inside, you hear a loud bang. You turn around in horror only to find the door closed in your face and Nabi gone.
"N-nabi?" You murmur nervously, "Why did you close the door?"
From inside the room, you hear a faint chuckle.
"She's gone, y/n. Left us to rot in this dungeon forever. "
"Yeji?"
You jog towards the tired, lifeless voice.
And when you reach the princess, what your lantern shows you horrifies you to the core.
"Your majesty!" You fall on your knees, grabbing the lifeless body of a once beautiful Queen who you'd come to adore over the years, "W-what happened?"
You're crying now; watching the princess caress her mother's cold face.
You're sobbing; watching the bloody hands of the daughter who tried to stop her mother from bleeding to death.
"Nabi is..", Yeji swallows, "She's a part of the resistance that wants to overthrow the monarchy. They want a military ruled government. It was her doing. On the day Hyunjin was attacked, I knew it was her."
You cry harder, moaning into your hands.
How could she?
"And I too, am at fault here. I made the mistake of befriending her so so many years ago," Yeji continues, "I paved her way into the palace. I'm as much as of a criminal as her."
You clear your throat, rubbing the tears off your cheeks and neck, another sob bubbling within your chest.
"We do not have time to repent things we had no control over," you say, "The Queen Mother is gone but we can still save your father and Hyunjin. "
"They've taken father to their military fortress. " Yeji says, her tone suggesting she's given up all her hopes. "He's as good as dead. "
"Then we save my husband."
"Y/n, how will we-"
"I saw the key. When Nabi unlocked the door, I saw the key."
"What about it?" Yeji asks, shifting.
"It doesn't have a key. It only has a numerical lock code."
Yeji lifts an eyebrow, as if to ask you "So?"
"It was 0143."
*
Leaving the Queen Mother's body behind, you and Yeji rush out of the door, grabbing every knife, sword, and other sharp object you could find in the dungeon.
"I think she must have taken Hyunjin hostage," Yeji says, rubbing the sweat off her forehead. "But since he cannot fight that well because of his wounds, they're probably interrogating him in your bedroom. "
"Interrogating him for what?"
"The keys to the Royal armory and the king's safe of gold."
Sure enough, you find Hyunjin in your bedroom. Except it wasn't your Hyunjin, it was a replica of
Queen Sayyu. Blood and blood and blood everywhere on his body. His eyes barely open but his hands, they pointed at you as you rushed in.
"Hyunjin!" You cried, kneeling by the bed side floor, "Hyunjin, please, hold on."
The room was empty except for the three of you. The furniture was broken and burnt and cupboards were clearly forced open.
"Did you give them the keys?" Yeji asks him, sobbing, "Mother died to protect those keys."
He coughs and leans into you, "I've alarmed the military. They are on their way."
"The rebels will be coming back too." He coughs again, "The keys are behind the painting in my study. Save them Yeji, run, now."
Yeji steadies herself as she gets up, "Come on, y/n. He said they might come back. "
Oh, but how could you? How could you leave the love of your life to bleed to his death alone while you escaped?
Moreover, this was the tragic end of your daydream, wasn't it? Dying together while Yeji survives and continues to rule the country.
"Go, Yeji, " you tell her, over the noise of the blood coursing through your ears, you hear footsteps, "Now!"
Yeji is a smart girl, you realize. With a hand over her mouth to suppress her sobs, she runs out of the room, without turning back even once.
When she is out of sight, Hyunjin fumbles to find your hand in the darkness. He's cold and stiff.
"If I disappear today, promise me you will find me. Promise me, please y/n." He manages to say.
You kiss his hand softly as the footsteps get closer, tears streaming down your face.
"I will find you. In every universe, in every timeline. I will find you, my love. " you say as you find a metallic taste in your tears and your vision goes black.
*
After what feels like a millennia, the darkness around you is finally replaced by a bright light.
It is too bright, but when you see a familiar face, your discomfort vanishes.
"Lia!" You throw yourself onto your napping friend, "Lia! Oh, I'm so happy to see you."
Lia though surprised at your outburst, returns your embrace with equal enthusiasm.
"I missed you too, y/n." She says, "I didn't know that picture would have such an impact on you. I was so scared when you passed out!"
Picture? What picture?
And suddenly, all the memories play in your mind like an old film. It's hazy, but you know what's going on.
You see blood, a crown, burning curtains, and..a blonde prince.
Hwang Hyunjin.
"Lia..", you sigh, your heart aching terribly, "How long have I been out?"
"Like around 36 hours or so. I don't remember. "She replies.
36 hours in this world and you'd already spent a lifetime in another. How utterly tragic.
"Y/n, what's wrong? You're tearing up." Lia says, offering you a tissue, "Are you in pain?"
You sigh, "Yes. I am in extreme pain, Lia. How could life have been so, so unfair to us?"
Lia gives you a confused nod, not really sure what had exactly led you to believe that life had been unfair to you.
"Y/n, what-"
Lia is cut off by a knock on the door.
"Ah. That must be the doctor." Lia jogs towards the door, "Just a second, Dr. Seo!"
"Um, hello," the doctor greets, "Dr. Seo is in urgent surgery. He sent me in his place to check on the patient. "
When the doctor steps in closer, your breathing gets stuck in your throat.
Of course, you know this man. How could you not?
You'd died with him in another world, in another time, in another life.
You'd loved him.
"I'm Dr. Hwang, Miss Y/n." The doctor says, a familiar expression on his face. He looks rather delighted to see you.
"I feel like I've seen you somewhere before." He chuckles to himself as he sits on the chair by your hospital bed.
"Yes, me too." These are the only words you manage to say.

„Baby? I’m home.“
Hyunjin came back from practice, beaten and tired, but eager to see you again. He threw his new Versace bag in the corner and scouted the area for you. “Baby?”
But his baby was nowhere to be found. He looked for you in every room – the living room was empty even though there were still some vanilla scented candles burning. Your bedroom was empty too, it still looked the same way it did when Hyunjin left you this morning. Now he was getting worried. “Y/Nnie?” He opened the door to your office but that was empty, too. Silently, he muttered to himself. “Damn, y/n, where are you?”
It wasn’t until he opened the door to the bathroom that he found you – passed out on the cold marble tiles.
Hyunjin was startled but quickly regained composure as he noticed your journal right next to you. He smirked amused. “Did you fall asleep while journaling again? What are you manifesting this time, baby?”
He crouched down and took a look at your journal, his handsome features suddenly turned ice-cold. Privacy was important in every relationship, especially this one, but he couldn’t help himself. He scanned the pages roughly – words of self-abuse were written all over those white pages. Hyunjin turned around and took a good look at you. Your face, even though you were asleep, looked in distress. Your cheeks were reddened, eyes puffy with your mascara smeared, turning you into a panda. “My baby cried herself to exhaustion”, he muttered in disbelief.
Your boyfriend decided to let you sleep for a while and invaded your privacy instead, he needed to know what made you upset like this. Was it wrong? Yes. Did he care? No.
He sat right next to you and took your journal into his hands. He once gifted you this brown leather book, in the hopes of you filling it with the most beautiful words. But what was written in here was far from beautiful.
I had a talk with Chan today. His daddy sensors were tingling, and he somehow knew that I felt off. I swear to God, he sees me as another kid of his. But I admit, it feels nice. I don’t like talking about my insecurities but with him it’s kinda easy. I never talk about them with anyone, not even Jinnie. I just can’t. I don’t want to.
Hyunjin stopped reading and let out a deep sigh. He looked at you again, wondering why you kept secrets from him. It hurt him tremendously, the love of his life couldn’t communicate her deepest pain with him. Instead, she talked to his hyung? He would confront Chan later, now was not the time for more drama.
How did I end up talking to Chan in the first place? Well, I ran into him when I was on the way back home. I had a very important doctor’s appointment today.
Hyunjin’s whole body shuddered, anxiety taking over. An important doctor’s appointment? How did he not know this? Were you sick? Was something wrong? He panicked, internally debating if he should wake you this instant. He chose to continue reading instead.
I have very bad period cramps and decided to check them out, so I went to the doctor. And he did some tests and what do you know? I might not be fertile. Can you believe that? Me, a young woman in the prime of her life, may not be fertile. I might never become a mom. Jinnie might never become a dad. At least, not with me.
Hyunjin choked.
Panicked, he turned around and faced you again. “Baby. My baby, I am so sorry. I am so so sorry that you had to handle this on your own. Oh my god, y/nnie.” He caressed your cheek with his hand and watched you sleep. He felt guilty, as if he missed out on important parts of your life. Why didn’t you trust him with this?
He noticed the tear strains on the next pages, tearing up as well.
It’s not fair.
Life is not fair. Why is something like this happening to me? I always took care of my body. I eat healthy, I work out, I take my vitamins but somehow, I’m not able to become a mom? Heck, I don’t even know if I want kids, but now I probably will never have the choice to decide.
Why me?
Hyunjin stopped reading for a second. He felt your pain in every written word and it shook him to the core. He couldn’t even imagine what it must be like to be in your skin right now.
And after this appointment I ran into Chan in the park. I didn’t want to talk about it, but I guess I needed to let off some steam. I told him about the test results, and I told him that I felt like a giant failure, and I told him that I had no idea how I should tell Jinnie. Or rather if I should tell him at all or simply break up with him.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes at your dramatic ass. “As if you just could break up with me y/n. You’re stuck with me forever.” He continued reading.
Chan just listened and asked me one single question. Just one.
Do you believe you’re worthy of being loved?
Isn’t it funny how one question can catch you off guard? Because that is exactly what happened. And now I’m sitting here on the cold bathroom floor trying to make sense of it.
Do I believe I’m worthy of being loved?
“Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes”, Hyunjin muttered under his breath.
I guess?
I mean I have a wonderful boyfriend who clearly loves me very much, so the answer kind of has to be yes.
But do -I- believe I am worthy of being loved?
Hyunjin paused one last time and looked at you. He wondered if he should stop reading, he wondered if he was armed for whatever was about to come. Did you really not believe you were worthy of being loved? He felt the pit in his stomach, realizing he had to be the shittiest boyfriend on the planet. Not only did you keep secrets from him, but you also questioned something so banal. Wasn’t it his job to show you the exact opposite?
He let out a sigh and continued reading.
If I’m totally honest? No.
I never felt like that. I always felt like I had to be perfect in order to be worthy of love. But I never was perfect. And I never will be. My tits are too small. My tummy is too fat. My hair is too flat. My lips are too thin. I’m not cool enough. Now I’m not healthy enough. And soon I won’t be young enough. So no, I never felt like I was good enough to be loved.
Hyunjin cried silently, reading every word with care.
How the fuck am I supposed to tell Jinnie? He is going to leave me; he should leave me. I’m not normal, I’m flawed. I don’t deserve to be with him. He deserves someone better, someone on his level. Someone that is just as beautiful and popular as him. Someone with big tits and a flat tummy and super big hair and plush lips that he can kiss all night long. Someone that is healthy and might gift him a child someday. That can never be me.
Hyunjin tossed your journal aside and started bawling, his sobs distracting the silence of the night. He couldn’t believe this; he couldn’t believe you. Were you serious? That's what you thought of yourself? Why did you hate yourself so much?
His crying woke you up, alerting you in seconds. You got up on your feet and hugged him, holding him as tight as you could. “Jinnie, what’s wrong? Talk to me.”
He hugged you back and sobbed into your shirt, you were barely understanding a word.
“You, y/n, you’re what’s wrong!”
You paused, scanning the room for your journal. It was lying on the floor next to your crying boyfriend.
“Did you…?”
He nodded, wiping away his tears. Anger masked the shame you were feeling as you wanted to get up, but he was quicker and hugged you in the tightest embrace known to mankind.
“I had no right to, I’m sorry y/nnie. I am so, so sorry.”
Even though you felt ashamed you were relieved, too. Finally, the cat was out of the bag, and you didn’t have to carry this big burden on your own. You hugged for a while, both of you crying silently.
“Can we talk about what you wrote?”
“Do we need to?” You looked down.
His index finger tilted your chin carefully, looking at you with the utmost care. “Yes, my love. We need to.”
You sighed and gave in.
“Do you really feel that way?”
“Hm.”
“Do you think I’m perfect?”
“Of course. You are perfect, Jinnie.”
He rolled his eyes at you. “Sometimes you remind me of a fourteen-year-old girl, y/n.”
You got offended: “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You do realize that nobody is perfect? Not even me?”
You scoffed. “Did you tell your face that?”
He let out a laugh. “You’re so silly, baby. What did you write about your tits being too small and your tummy too fat? I could say the same thing about me being too skinny and not ripped enough. You do realize that we all are beautiful in our own way? And that everybody got a different taste? What if I liked your tits this size? What if I loved your curves exactly like that? Has that ever occurred to you?”
It had not.
“And let’s talk about you being not normal. I understand that the fertility thing is a grave prophecy but that doesn’t make you less normal than anybody else. It doesn’t diminish your worth baby. Nothing could ever do that. Do you get that?”
You grabbed the hem of his shirt tighter and started sobbing again. “Jinnie, what if I can never conceive? What then?” He placed a soft kiss on the top of your head. “Then we’ll figure out a way, my love. Whatever happens, we’ll figure it out.”
You looked up at him. “Are you sure?”
He chuckled, flashing you his warmest smile. “Yes, I am sure. I love you, y/n. I love you for who you are. I fell for your soul baby, not your body or what you could do for me. To me you are absolutely perfect.” He kissed the tears away, holding you even more closely. “Y/Nnie? Don’t ever think that my love for you is-“
“Conditional?”

Nothing seemed to go right today.
He woke up late, forgot his phone, so when he went back to get it, he was even more late showing up to practice.
Then at practice, he kept messing up his moves somehow and he knew the other members were getting irritated.
Hyunjin came over to your apartment later that day, wanting to put all of the days stress behind him and be near you, knowing you had always been his peace in times of stress.
Hyunjin immediately called you on his way out after everyone collectively called it a day and decided to pick back up the next day.
“Hey, done already?” You picked up. He could hear the sound of wind coming from your end as you were seemingly outside.
“We… finished early.” Hyunjin didn't want to talk about how his day went. He just wanted to leave and head directly for you. “Can I ask a favor?”
He felt his stomach rumble and realized how hungry he was. Another thing to look forward to, other than seeing you.
Food.
“What is it?” You asked, curious. Hyunjin used his free hand to grip his stomach as he made his way for the front door, leading outside.
The wind on your end had ceased, indicating you were inside.
“Can you order takeout? I'm heading to your apartment, so I will pay you back in cash when I get there.” Hyunjin didn't want to explain that his credit card was paused for some reason.
That was another problem for later. A problem he didn't want to think about at the moment.
“Of course. Don't worry about paying me back.” You didn't hesitate, “I missed you.”
Hyunjin smiled, already feeling his stress diminishing. “I missed you too.”
“Want your regular?” You asked, already having the delivery app open.
“Please. And get yourself something too. It's just me and you tonight.” Hyunjin took a deep breath and started to walk in the direction of your apartment— a path he was familiar with.
“Alright, my angel. I will see you when you get here.” You said, hanging up after he bid you a farewell.
You ordered the food, double checked everything and waited. Luckily, the food arrived before Hyunjin did, so the food would already be ready for him.
When Hyunjin actually arrived, he was relieved to smell the food, his stomach growling hungrily.
“Ah, thank you so much!” Hyunjin shut and locked your front door and sat with you as you separated and passed out the food.
Hyunjin’s heart dropped, seeing the food was definitely not his regular. You hadn't noticed because yours was correct, all the way down to the extras you had added on.
You glanced at Hyunjin, seeing he had gotten the wrong order. You scoffed, shaking your head. “damnit… who did you piss off at the takeout spot today?”
Hyunjin paused, a look of hurt flashed across his face and he looked at you.
“No one! I didn't ‘piss’ anyone off! I didn't do anything!” Hyunjin snapped, his eyes welling up before the tears came rushing down his cheeks.
“Why does everyone think I did something wrong?!” Hyunjin cried, his hands flying to cover his face as he cried harder than you’ve ever seen him cry before.
Your expression had a look of concern to it, pushing your food aside and moving to wrap your arms around him in a comforting gesture.
“Hey, hey, I was only joking… what happened? Why are you crying?” You asked, rubbing his back and immediately feeling guilty.
Hyunjin didn't speak for a while, just crying his eyes out in your arms.
When he eventually pulled away from you, he wiped his eyes and face with his sleeves as his own guilt sank in for snapping at you for your joke and the wrong order.
“It's been a bad day.” Hyunjin started off. You weren't sure if he was going to elaborate more on that or not, but you didn't rush him and instead, you were very patient as he collected his thoughts.
“It started when I woke up late. Then during practice, I kept messing up. I think the guys are mad at me.” Hyunjin sniffled, staring at the wrong order of food. You listened intently, letting him open up to you all while gently rubbing his back.
“I'm sorry I snapped at you.” Hyunjin continued, “it’s just that I was relying on something to make today better and being with you did, but I was also very hungry and seeing it was wrong, well…”
You nodded understandingly. “Added to your series of misfortunes.”
Hyunjin laughed a little, relieving you as you worried that joke would make him cry again.
“Yeah. And when you said I pissed someone off, maybe I did get a little too defensive.” Hyunjin closed his tired eyes from crying. You frowned, hearing how your joke hurt him.
“I'm so sorry, I was only joking. I know you didn't piss anyone off or do anything to deserve the day you just had.” You spoke in a soothing voice, pulling him into your arms again.
Hyunjin leaned into your arms, the stress diminishing again. He felt silly for getting so upset over a wrong order and a joke.
“You’re allowed to be frustrated, my love.” You whispered, kissing the top of his head that was leaned against your shoulder.
And Hyunjin smiled, needing to hear those words.
“Tomorrow will be better.” You added, reaching for your phone. “But so will tonight. I'm getting you your correct order.”
