hihi tee, genuine question: why don't creators (or just you personally) like their work recommended on other platforms like tiktok?

hi !! mainly bc those platforms are crawling with minors who will see the nsfw content and come running. it also creates a big chunk of ppl being sent over to ur page (since tik toks can quite literally blow up over night to millions of views) and ppl on tik tok are not very kind to the fanfic and especially nsfw / dc fanfic community, even the adults, so it’s just rly likely that a blown up tik tok can send a lot of problems if that makes sense. just rly stressful and not very fun to deal with

“Inferi have no free will.” He whispers, “They can’t even think for themselves. They can’t feel, can’t breathe, can’t take their lives back. All they can do is follow the orders of their Master. If he says kill? You kill. If he says die? You die. Not even half of a life. Just a puppet on a string that can’t be cut.”

“Regulus, you are not a corpse,” James murmurs firmly with sincerity in his eyes; in the very line of his brow.

“You are alive. You have air in your lungs and fire in the depths of your eyes–I can see it. Yeah, just there...” He points to a spot in Regulus’ eye, his lips curling up into a small smile. “Your will is as free as you are desperate to take it back from those who stole it from you in the first place. A reminder that if you see a dog trainer online who claims that “positive reinforcement failed this dog” in regards to a reactive dog and then they proceed to show you how they were able to “fix” the dog’s reactivity with aversive training that:

- you don’t know how much time and effort was put towards counter conditioning the dog with positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement counter condition to reactivity triggers takes a LONG TIME and many casual dog owners simply do not put in the work and want results ~now~.

- you don’t see the “fixed” reactive dog outside of videos in very controlled environments. The dog may still react when placed in the hands of others because the dog may be behaviorally shut down by the aversive trainer and trying to not endure any more pain then necessary. This does not “fix” reactivity. The things that trigger the dog to react still exist as a negative to trigger the dog.

- dog training is NOT a quick fix. All good dog training takes time, patience and effort. A single board and train will not fix your dog. A single class will not fix your dog. A single trainer will not fix your dog unless the work is being put in to reducing the dog’s stress and their ability to succeed EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

random but… I watched the mean girls movie for the first time last night… and man do I have thoughts (yes I know I’m late to the party idc)

Janis’ storyline… bro..I had to stop myself from crying then and there coz that would be too suspicious. The whole outed to the entire school, predatory lesbian stereotype,,, ugh that shit cut deep. When Cady, her best friend, claimed that Janis was in love with her, I just couldn’t — I had to excuse myself and leave to go to the bathroom lol. Ughhh it was so well-written.

I’m kinda upset that they implied that she wasn’t a lesbian at the end — but tbh that would make so much sense. She faced so much trauma from being clocked as queer that perhaps she is experiencing comphet…ORRRR she is bisexual but had no idea and didn’t understand that she had multiple levels of attraction (— I mean ehhh she could be straight but so much of her arc relates to significant queer experiences I just don’t think so). But ya know, this was 2004 and pretty ahead of its time, low key. I think I like the headcannon of her being bisexual (I mean it’s half canon anyways)

Her and Regina definitely kissed before they broke up. And I know that Regina initiated it then freaked out when she realised what that could mean. Regina is an example of such classic comphet — using guys to try and satisfy her desires when really she’s in love with her goth best friend from middle school. It’s real she told me herself.

Side note — that math guy that said he only dates women of colour?? Wow. As someone who goes to a school that is predominantly POC, all the guys are interested in white girls lol so it was nice to see.

My views of jamikali (from someone who doesnt ship it but also doesn’t judge those who do)

im at the point where I don’t like or ship jamikali because i think its toxic (that is my opinion btw, if you don’t think it is then that’s alr because opinions are not facts ^^) but also I want them to be friends. Like. I want them to work on themselves for a bit and then begin working on their friendship again. At the same time though, I don’t think I can ever see them in a romantic relationship simply because of the trauma inflicted on both ends from both ends. Even if it was unintentional, it’s there.
