--------------------------------------------------------
Waking up that morning it was the same routine of feeling discomfort and nausea. You thought maybe you would get used to it but that proved quite difficult the next morning as you were hurled over the toilet.
You felt bad waking Miguel so early in the morning but he insisted it was fine and he knew you needed him to be there for you. You were more than thankful to Miguel for taking his day off from work and starting his holiday vacation early for you.
Before you knew it, tears were streaming down your face. You were sobbing on your bathroom floor because you felt so loved by Miguel and that made you happy. "Hey, hey are you okay?" he asked as he directed all his attention to you and wiped your tears that wouldn't stop flowing.
"I'm just so happy you're here," you sobbed.
"Aw, mi vida[my life], have I been away for too long, have I been neglecting my wife?" he asked as he embraced you and caressed your hair.
"No, it's just," you started, you let out a frustrated shy you just couldn't stop your tears. "I'm just so content," you said.
That morning you and Miguel were eating breakfast together. He made his usual piping hot cup of black coffee(weirdo) and he was sipping it because it was still very hot. You hated that. You didn't know why. But it disgusted you.
"Why are you doing that?" you asked, knowing it was a completely normal thing he did all the time.
"Doing what?" he asked obliviously.
"The way you're drinking your coffee, It's weird, I hate that sound," you said, almost gagging when he did it again.
"It's still hot," he said blankly.
He sipped his coffee again and that's what set off the waterworks. You sobbed telling him that you hated the sound. "Just get out! Get out!" you said pointing at the door.
He put the newspaper down trying to remain calm and walked over to you slowly taking his glasses off. "Stop just stop! Why are you walking like that?" you sobbed as you ran into your shared bedroom, locked the door, and wailed.
You heard Miguel's heavy footsteps he was probably pacing back and forth worried and trying to figure out what to do. After a while, when you had stopped crying you heard soft knocks on the door. "Nena[baby], can I come in?" you heard Miguel ask in a soft tone of voice.
He didn't hear a response but the door opened and he saw you there with red, puffy eyes and tear-stained cheeks. "Hey, I'm sorry for sipping weirdly I guess," he said, taking both of your hands.
"No it's not your fault," you said quietly looking down ashamed that you blew up on him over him drinking his coffee.
"Why did the coffee and my walking make you so upset?" he asked
"I literally don't know," you sobbed the tears spilling again.
"Okay, shhhh, you’re fine you're okay, hey, please don't cry," he said, wiping your tears away and hugging you.
"Sorry I'm so hormonal, probably just starting my period soon," you said resting your head against his head.
Thinking that it would be easy to hide your pregnancy from Miguel was so wrong. Your symptoms were flaring up and guilt from lying to him was eating you alive.
You hoped that nothing crazy would happen for the rest of the day. Other than being sick and eating and drinking a lot more than you usually did, everything was fine.
Until that same night, you and Miguel ordered pizza and he folded it. Miguel. Folded. His. Fucking. Pizza.
You did end up crying again, locking yourself in your room threatening to divorce him if he even tried to talk to you. He did sleep on the couch that night. But hey it was only 4 more days until you could finally surprise him on Christmas day.

17. Syncope/Fainting
“Help!”
When the team hears a familiar voice yelling, they take off sprinting to the locker room. Swinging the door open, they brace themselves for the worst. There, Sophia is standing, tears streaming down her face.
“You guys have to help. She was totally fine, we were just talking and then suddenly she passed out. I- I caught her and got her to the ground, but I don’t know what to do. Someone needs to help her.”
Looking past Sophia, they can see your body slumped on the floor. It’s quiet for a moment before Emily breaks the silence. She bursts into laughter like it’s the funniest thing she’s seen this week. This only causes Sophia to start crying harder and earns Emily an elbow to the rib which promptly shuts her up. Emily looks to the side to see Becky giving her a look that could bring a grown man (or woman!) to their knees.
“I’m sorry, Soph,” Emily apologizes, “it’s not a funny situation and I shouldn’t have laughed. Y/N has syncopal episodes sometimes, which means she’ll just randomly lose consciousness. I’m going to guess that nobody told you this, based on your reaction.”
Sophia shakes her head, sniffing, “no, but it would have been nice to know. She gave me a heart attack, I thought something was wrong. She’s going to be okay?”
Christen nodded, walking over towards you, “she’ll be fine, she should be up in a minute or so.”
She kneels beside you, gently pushing your hair back from your face. When she sees you start to regain consciousness, she murmurs to you quietly, luring you back to the locker room. When she’s happy with how awake you are, she tugs you up into a seated position, leaning back into her. You look up to see Sophia’s scared face and manage to piece together the situation.
“Sorry I scared you Soph. I totally forgot to tell you that this would probably happen, I hope I didn’t freak you out too bad.”
As you finish your statement, you get up to try and go see her. Christen carefully follows you, something that you should be extremely grateful for. As soon as you are vertical, your eyes shut and you start heading back to the floor. Your descent was much quicker than your ascent, but Christen was able to step in before you hit the ground.
Fluidly, she manages to scoop your unconscious form into her arms and onto her hip. She uses one hand to guide your head to her shoulder, one hand holding you up. As soon as your head is situated, her arm wraps around your back, holding you to her body.
“Right,” Christen nods, “is everyone ready to go?”
Sophia stares speechlessly as she watches Christen and the majority of the team grab their bags and head out to the bus. She senses a presence by her side, looking over to see Emily.
“Pretty freaky, right? You have to admit it’s funny how nonchalant everyone is. C’mon, we have to get to the bus before they forget us here. I’ll explain everything on the ride.”
Emily makes it to the door before turning back. Still frozen in place, Sophia is staring at the doorway.
“Soph, let’s move those feet. Unless you want me to carry you out, I suggest you remember how to get your legs moving again.”
Emily’s statement snapped Sophia out of whatever daze she was in. She quickly grabs her bag and follows Emily out of the locker room. Emily is a few steps ahead, but she still manages to hear Sophia.
“This team is so not normal”
What Sophia thought was a whisper to herself was clearly not, as Emily turns around and nods in agreement.
“We’re far from it.”

When she was three years old, Alice broke a teacup.
She had been playing, pretending to serve tea to her stuffed animals, all situated around a table, and the piece of China had slipped through her clumsy little hands, breaking into a million pieces all over the floor. And then her mother was barreling in the room, grabbing at her shoulders and shouting, shaking her back and forth while tears streamed down Alice’s cheeks.
And for just a glimmer of a moment, Alice was afraid that her mother might hit her.
It was a memory that returned to her now, as she paced back and forth along the soft carpet in her office, cell phone clutched to her ear while it rang. The door was closed, but even through it she could distantly hear the sounds of splashing and laughter from the pool they had on the back deck. Spooky, who had followed her into the office as if able to sense her distress, meowed, jumping down from where she’d curled up on the couch to rub against Alice’s legs. Stooping, she scooped the little black cat up with one arm, pressing a kiss to her soft head before sinking down onto the couch, Spooky situating herself in her lap.
“Hello?” the sound of the voice on the other end of the line, picking up at the last ring, made her jump. She had honestly not expected her to pick up.
“Hi, Mom.”
“Alice? Whatever are you calling for?”
Alice sighed, head thrown back and biting her lip. “I just…wanted to say hi, I guess,” it wasn’t the truth. She had called for a very specific reason. But she figured she ought to go about things slowly.
“Oh.”
The awkward silence that followed made her wish that the ground would open up to swallow her whole.
“How are…how are Celia and the kids?” she figured it wouldn’t hurt to bring up her mother’s favorite conversation topic.
“Oh! Just wonderful! The girls are getting so big! Did Celia tell you Kinsley got first place in the science fair? Not that it's surprising, of course…”
“No. No, she didn’t,” Alice figured it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to mention that she hadn’t spoken to Celia in over a year.
“I just don’t understand why Cece couldn’t have given them more normal names, yanno? I’ve never understood it. She didn’t have to go full classical, of course, but something a little more mainstream wouldn’t have hurt.”
“Of course,” Alice said monotonously.
“Do you think you’ll be visiting soon? It would do the girls good to know their aunt.”
Alice frowned. “I don’t…I’m not sure…things are still…settling here,” another lie. The dust had fully settled around the splitting up of Fischer Morrow a little less than a year ago.
“Of course. Though if you come you’ll also have to swing by your father’s and Tracey’s. If they hear that you were in town from Celia or David and didn’t visit they’ll be upset.”
By “they” Alice knew she meant Tracey. Her father probably couldn’t give much of a shit if she visited him or not.
“I still am amazed how that all…transpired, you know. Even all these years later.”
“Yeah. So am I,” she failed to keep the bitterness entirely out of her voice.
“Really? I mean, Tracey was your friend all throughout high school…”
Yeah, which just makes it all that much worse. One of your closest friends marrying your father almost immediately out of high school wasn’t exactly something that endeared one to either party involved. Her father had settled for unapologetic in his attitude about the whole thing. Tracey still tried to act like they were the best of friends every time Alice saw her.
It had not been her initial intention to fall almost completely out of contact with her family. It just sort of happened. The geography of where they were located certainly didn’t help matters, but the older she got the more she was beginning to realize that this was probably how it always would have gone. Even if she’d lived in the same city as them.
Her relationship with her older sister had always been tumultuous. Celia was the superstar of the family. She was good at everything, smart, charming…everyone’s favorite. And she had never liked Alice, and their parents always took Celia’s side. Even when Celia was cruel to her.
So, when she decided to phase out all contact with her sister outside of the occasional presents sent for her nieces, it really hadn’t been that surprising to either of them.
Her little brother David was different. He had been Celia’s little soldier when they were growing up, but as he got older, he’d softened to her somewhat. They would never be close, but he was probably the only one Alice would even be remotely interested in visiting should the occasion arise.
Her father had never forgiven her for not supporting his and Tracey’s marriage, and much as Tracey tried to keep their friendship afloat, Alice could never look at her the same.
And then her mother. Her mother who had always treated her as a nuisance and a failure; never once acknowledging any of her accomplishments. Always making her feel less than her siblings. The only thing Alice suspected she saw her as any good for was a potential avenue to getting her hands on the Fischer fortune. Otherwise, she wondered if her mother would even take her phone calls at all.
“Mom,” she took a deep breath. Might as well just rip the band-aid off and get this over with. Then she could end the call and go back outside to be with her friends.
Her real family.
“Mom, there’s something I wanted to tell you.”
“Alright.”
Spooky, who had nestled herself onto Alice’s lap, meowed up at her, making biscuits against her thigh. She smiled down at the cat, allowing her cuteness to district her for a moment.
“I got married this weekend.”
The words hung in the air for a long time, nothing but shocked silence on the other end of the phone.
“Married…” her mother said softly. “To Robert?”
Alice’s brows furrowed at the questions. “Yes. Of course to Robert.”
She was met with another bout of silence.
“Alice, are you pregnant?”
She chastised herself for not being ready for that response. In hindsight it was incredibly in character for her mother to ask that. Though it still shocked her.
“What!? No!”
“It’s just…honey, this is…this is so sudden…”
“Robert and I have been dating for ten years!”
“You’re still so young, Alice…”
“I’m thirty-four!”
“Now, there’s no need to get upset,” her mother said sternly, but Alice thought she detected a trace of defensiveness in her voice. Like she was embarrassed.
Did her mother really have no idea how old she was?
The realization made her throat go dry, the part of her that was still a small, desperate child just looking for her mother’s approval whimpering in pain. But the rest of her was relieved.
It would make what she needed to do next easier.
The silence on the other end of the line was deafening.
“Is that all you have to say to me?” Alice asked finally, realizing that her mother was waiting for her to speak. Probably expecting an apology.
“Alice…what do you want me to say?” her mother sighed.
“Oh, I don’t know. A congratulations would be nice,” sniffing, she rubbed at her forehead. “Look…if you want to tell the others…Dad and Celia and David…that’s up to you. But I–”
“You’re not going to call them?”
“No,” she said quietly. Truth be told, she hadn’t made up her mind if she would. At least not until that exact moment.
“But…your father and your siblings…they’ll want to know…”
Alice shook her head even though her mother couldn’t see her. “Would they?” she spat out bitterly. “Listen…I’ve thought about this a lot…and I’ve decided that…” she swallowed hard, and forced herself to be strong. “I’ve decided that this is the last time we’re ever going to talk.”
“Wha–wait. Wait a minute, sweetheart. What? What do you mean?”
Alice sighed. “Let’s be honest for a minute, Mom. I was always just the extra child, right? The screw up…the black sheep. None of you were ever proud of me or tried to understand me or…anything. And I know that me being married to Robbie might mean that you now think…” she bit her lip, then shook her head. “I’m not going to be just a bank for you to come running to every time you have financial issues.”
“So you’re just going to cut out your entire family and be down there in Sydney all alone?”
From outside the door to her office, she could hear laughter. “I’m not alone.”
“Alice…”
“Look, I’m sorry, but I have to do this. I…I need to do this,” if Robert was strong enough to tear himself free from Fischer Morrow, she could tear herself away from the cruelty of her family. She could. “I love you,” I’m just sorry you’ve never been able to love me back.
“Alice!”
“Goodbye, Mom,” she hung up the phone before she could hear anymore, quickly switching the ringer off so if her mother tried to call her back she wouldn’t know, tossing it away into the throw pillows on the couch, burying her face in her hands. A few tears spilled from her eyes, chest spasming with them.
Spooky meowed, standing from her lap and knocking her head against Alice’s hands, purring and rubbing her face against her in comfort. Dropping her hands, Alice wrapped her arms around the cat.
“Good girl, Spooky,” she praised quietly, kissing her between the eyes. “I’m okay.”
She gave herself a handful of moments to pull herself together, scrubbing at her face and blowing her nose, taking a few deep breaths before opening the door and venturing out down the hall and into the open plan living room and kitchen. The door to the back deck and pool was open, so their guests could come and go as they pleased. Cider was sitting in her cat tree, watching proceedings with disapproving eyes, but when she saw Alice she hopped down to rub against her legs.
“Hey,” Robert was in the kitchen, clothed in just his swim trunks and sandals, dumping a bag of chips into a bowl to take outside. “How did it go?”
“Eh,” she shrugged, making her way around the counter to him. “As expected.”
He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his chest, kissing the top of her head. “I’m sorry, sweetheart.”
“It’s okay. It’s done,” keeping one arm around him, she snagged a chip from the bowl, still leaning her head on his chest while she angled her face to look outside. “Everything still going well out here?”
“Of course. Everyone’s having fun.”
“Mm,” she smiled to herself, watching as Eames cannonballed into the pool, James and Phillipa shrieking in delight from their floaties. Cobb was lounging in an inner tube, watching the whole interaction with a grin. On the deck, Arthur, Yusuf, and Ariadne were lounging in the poolside chairs, chatting. They’d all come down for the wedding; a private affair out on the beach near the docks where she and Robert used to play as children.
“Hey,” he gave her a little squeeze, nuzzling at the top of her head. “I’m proud of you.”
She smiled a little sheepishly, hiding her face in his chest. “Thanks.”
In all honesty, she didn’t feel that bad about it at all. Certainly not hollowed out or lonely, like she expected. Instead she felt free. Like a massive weight had been cut from her.
The realization of the knowledge she already knew was fully settling in: her family had never been the people who raised her back in California.
Her family was right there in their house. Her husband, her friends, and her cats. All the people who had always loved her just the way she was. She no longer needed her mother’s approval, or her sister’s acceptance, or her father’s love. And she would never feel the need to return to the old neighborhood in Los Angeles where they all still lived within a few blocks of each other.
“Let’s get back outside, yeah?” Robert suggested.
“Yeah,” she smiled, letting him take her hand in his while he balanced the chip bowl with the other. “Hey,” she stopped, pulling him towards her gently until he was right in front of her, so she could stretch up on her toes and kiss him. “I love you.”
Robert grinned so brightly he could have put the sun to shame. “I love you too.”
Yes, she was happy right where she was.
Where she was loved.

"Wow, you really ate a lot tonight. I think you might've even beat my record! Folks like you don't come often. Now, how about dessert? I know a great place that might help top off a cutie like you~"
Lumbering forward, the blubbery blonde is dragging you along. Every footfall, you can feel the pendulous swing of your overfull gut, that twin buffet idea maybe coming back to haunt you a little. But hey, it was probably worth it to see the streamer you've been following for so long smile like that. A raffle for a dinner date that you won allowed this heavenly chance, but little did you expect for her to be the one feeding you instead! And now she expects you to eat more?
Tumblr media
"Welcome! Oh, Sis, is this that date you were talking about?"
Tumblr media
"Yep, and now we're here for dessert!"
Leading you to a rather sizable couch, you're getting sat right down as she snuggles in next to you, her pillowy heft squishing into your left side as the brunette was coming over with a trolley in tow. Stacked upon it was various little pastry dishes, assorted tarts, slices of pies and cheesecake, and even a few donuts and cinnamon rolls too.
Tumblr media
"Normally I don't do this kind of thing with my sister here, but... Seeing as you were the grand prize winner for her stream, I figured you deserved some bonuses. She asked me to help out, how could I say no? Especially when you really are quite the cutie~"
As soon as you opened up to try and say anything, her hands already started pressing a strawberry tart into your mouth... Between the two of them, they expect you to eat every... Last... Bite~

Chapter One: Analysis
Tw: technical hurt, pests, that’s about it.
Word Count: 2kish
Dream was rather enjoying this new Human. He had been spending some time getting a good look at this guy in particular to gauge how careful he should be. Needless to say, George didn’t seem like a very competent Human. He was watching silently laughing, while George struggled to find the glasses that Dream had lugged away to the top of the shelf.
Dream though, was not a cruel Borrower. So he had put the glasses just right on the shelf so that when the light streamed through the window, would illuminate the lenses. He quickly backed away as this happened against the wall about to enter the grate. He finally heard George make a sound of triumph as he reached the glasses.
George actually didn’t need glasses, they were mainly for just looking good and helping his colorblindness. So he was still a bit upset when he didn’t find them on his nightstand when he woke up in his new house. He had contemplated calling Sapnap but decided that he’d just find them himself.
Once the light shined onto the shelf just above his nightstand he reached and grasped it. He could almost swear he felt a small gust of warm breath on his finger, it was very small though. He went ahead and put them on, and went downstairs to grab a stool from the garage. But when he got back and double-checked the shelf, it was empty.
It was common knowledge that Tinies existed, George just didn’t think that he’d ever encounter any. Not that he had any proof he did have one infesting his new house, but there wasn’t much else it could be that breathed on his hand like that. His suspicions were only confirmed more when food started mysteriously going missing alongside other objects that he used.
Over the next week…
It took Dream a second before he realized that George was in fact, not blind. (Or at least not in the normal way.) But he didn’t care that much, this Human was relatively foolish, and since Borrowers were common Knowledge to them, he didn’t have to worry about being seen all that much.
Besides, if the Human got close enough to do anything he had a much more technologically advanced hook than most other Borrowers. It was mainly based on some of the things that Humans watched on their TV’s, such as the man with powers like a Spider, or that one ‘anime’ with actual giants. Back when the house was empty, he liked to practice his swinging here, he was already pretty good thanks to The Blade. But practice makes perfect.
Thankfully it seemed as if George wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon, so he could annoy the human more than he normally would. “ooooh Tiny?” George whispered attempting to sound menacing, but after seeing him talk to someone named ‘Sapnap’ through the phone, it really didn’t have the intended effect.
“I seeeee youuu!” Dream laughed at this, “You’re a Liar!” He chuckled out. “oooh, so you’re up there Tiny?” George gestured, heading over to the cabinet just next to where Dream actually was on top of the Fridge. Dream was ready for him, grabbing his hook, he launched it at his glasses and wrapped it around the middle bit in between George’s eyes.
“AHHHHH!” George screeched as his glasses were ripped off of his face and landed with a thud against the fridge with a rope wrapped around it reaching up to the top of the fridge. He was just reaching for them when the hook attached to the end of the rope that his glasses were on disengaged, making his glasses fall all the at to the tiled floor. He reacted quickly bringing his foot up to catch them.
“Noooo!” He groaned as he saw that he had totally crushed them when he caught them. Just above he heard some chuckling. “I’ll get you for that you little Nightmare!” He shouted up to the top of the fridge. There was a vent up there, so the little goblin was probably retreating into it like the rat he is.
“Heheheha!” Dream was enjoying this as he retreated into the vents with a cookie that he had yoinked from the cupboard. Making his way up the vents, he ended up at his centralized home base inside the ceiling above the Living room nearby the front door. Without a word, Dream feasted on his find.
A few minutes later he heard George leave the house, “Don’t touch anything of mine Tiny, or else.” Pffft, Dream thought. Or else what? If this idiot thought he had any shot of catching him, he was sorely mistaken. As soon as he heard the door close, he decided to take a nap, thankfully the house would be quiet for now.
George was on his way home, it had taken a bit (and a decent sum of money) but he had gotten some new glasses. He also called Sapnap as he was supposed to arrive at the same time as him at their new house. Sap was moving in with him, but knowing this idiot, he’s probably eating a pizza in a gas station somewhere on the way.
As he opened the front door, he wondered whether or not he should call the Tiny by another name. He went around trying to think of clever names for the Tiny, but as he hadn’t even seen what they looked like, it was difficult. One day though when he was prowling the kitchen after noticing that even more cookies were gone the Tiny spoke up.
“You know I have a name right?” The Tiny asked one day after George was teasing him. “Oh really, and what would that be?” The Tiny’s answer was quick and straight-to-the-point. “The name’s Dream.” Huh, that was a weird name, but from what he did know about tinies they did have some strange names. Not that he had room to judge, his middle and last name were Not Found.
“Well, Dream.” George enunciated, “I hope that you can Dream your way out of my house.” Dream didn’t crack so much as a smile after that attempt at a pun, “You must realize that I lived here first.” George took a second l. “Well yeah, but you are merely a pest that should be taken out.” Dream grimaced at this, and decided to leave, he didn’t want to entertain this dude any longer.
The next day…
Things went like this for a while. This time, George thought it'd be smart to set a trap. Multiple in fact. It got to the point where Dream had enough saved net that he could sew it together to make a net big enough to catch George. So one day while George went out to eat, (As Dream usually ended up stealing the food if he brought it back.) he set up the trap just above the front door.
"ooooohhh Dreeeeaaamm? I'm back and without any food for you to-" George was stopped by the net that had dropped as soon as he opened the door. "AH!" He thrashed about in the net for a bit, meanwhile, Dream was in hysterics at the sight. "Ohhh, i'll get you for that one!" George shouted at the shelf as Dream disappeared again.
After this, even more prank’s ensued. Flower pots and framed pictures were shattering left and right, both by Dream AND by George as he chased Dream throughout the home. “Not another one!” George shouted after he knocked over a pot trying to get at Dream, “Come back here!” Another day, George found a whole bunch of holes in his favorite shirt with Supreme on it completely torn out.
On another note, Dream had a nice new red and blue blanket, “God damn it Dream!” George roared after this. Dream the. And made a hammock on top of a shelf to get an excuse to do something else. Needless to say, George destroyed it. “I got your bed Dream!” George said to Dream, but Dream was t listening. He was pulling out a needle he had gotten from Technoblade a few years back.
He made a running leap with both his needle and his hook. He used his hook to swing around the bumbling Human and poked at him as well. “DREAM. STOP!” George screeched as he was assaulted with the sewing needle. After a minute, Dream swung himself up to a vent and watched laughing as George fretted over his small cuts.
He even went and messed with the wires inside of George’s PC, he remembered his friend Skeppy doing this several times. Although Skeepy wasn’t as skilled as Dream and usually ended up electrocuted. Dream and him had parted ways for a bit. Skeppy because He was too train and show Dream up. Dream because he preferred to work alone for the most part.
He did miss Skeppy’s company at times, but George’s rage when his PC short-circuited was absolutely hilarious. “Noooo! What the actual hell is wrong with you!” George interrogated the wall. George then went on to call someone name Phil, presumably to help with the PC.
On another occasion, Dream sat back and watched George watch a movie. The movie in question was Star Wars. Dream wasn't super invested until he saw some of the characters tie up a big mech and topple it over. He grinned mischievously underneath his mask as he concocted his plan.
Then a few hours later, he tied a long bit of rope around a book in the closet to lure George over there. Once George was in earshot, he pulled causing a loud thud to sound from the closet. "oooh Dreeaam? You in there?" He headed over to the closet. To which Dream leaped from a nearby picture frame and used his hook to wrap around the idiot's legs.
"Oh what the hell!?" George shouted as he tried to swat at Dream, rather unsuccessfully he might add. "Would you. Stop. Moving. For a second." He grunted out as Dream had tied his arms a bit too. Dream finally landed on his shoulder, "No, I don't think I will Gog's." Then he jumped off with the slightest push. "AHHH- oof." George went as he crashed through the partially open closet door. Knowing that George would be trapped for a decent while, Dream mustered up the strength to close the door for good measure.
"Oh, you are SO dead when I get out of here." He heard George declare angrily. "Sure I'll be, and the day that happens is the day I stop messing with you." Dream replied sarcastically as he retreated into the nearest vent before just bursting with euphoria.
A few hours later...
George had received a call from Sapnap at 12:23 AM, he was extremely pissed off at being woken up, especially after being trapped in the closet for a few hours, but went downstairs to open the door for him. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see something yellow, (or was it green?) poking out just barely visible from behind a Photo on the bookshelf of George with Sapnap, Bad, and Bad’s cat he had gotten recently not too long after the photo was taken.
“George, who’s at the door?” Dream asked knowing he’d been spotted. “Just a friend of mine who’s moving in, not that it’s any of your business.” Dream was almost wheezing as a realization crept upon him. “You mean to say, that you called BACKUP.” He started, “On a little Borrower like me?” He finished laughing. “No! It isn’t like that!” George said turning a tiny bit red, “it’s totally like that! Well, I’m excited to see them.”
George then proceeded to unlock the door and turn the knob, Dream knew that it was probably Sapnap who he had heard George talking to a number of times. “Bring it on Sapitus Napitus.” He muttered as George pulled the door open…

Warnings: light angst/heartbreak but nothing bad (happy ending)
The tavern was as crowded as usual, and by that meaning almost completely baren for a rainy Wednesday afternoon. As you order a apple cider from Charles, the tavern door bell rings and you instinctively turn to check.
"Ah~ it is pouring out, I need a drink to combat the dissapointment of getting my fur cape wet."
Kaeya. Of course he wasnt the last person you'd expect to see open the tavern doors, he just wasnt much of a "afternoon delight" type drinker. Still, you stare as he tries to cooly swipe off the wet rain from his uniform as he walks towards the counter and takes a seat next to you.
"Well, well! Good afternoon y/n! What a suprise to see a beauty such as yourself here at this hour."
He raises an eyebrow and smirks as he turns to look straight ahead and run his fingers through his hair, not allowing time for you to respond before he has a drink in his hand.
"Afternoon Captain,"
You face him and smirk with the same intensity of flirty-ness as he just had.
"Of course you would be surprised to see me at this hour, you usually drink yourself to sleep before i order a evening drink."
You chuckle and look straight ahead and take a swig of your beverage, the confidence of your little witty come back replays as the cider burns your throat.
"Oh ho, well thats quite the attitude! I must ask, whats the purpose of this?"
"Hmm?"
"The occasion? I've never seen you drink three days in a row, I've been sober enough to pay attention to that."
The truth is, the last few days you've been at a bit of a crossroads. You know you and the Cavalry Captain share feelings, but you have a job offer in Natlan. This job is a dream to you, ever since you were a child. You could never dream of passing this opportunity, but you question if this possible romance could be the first significant one. You've been meaning to bring it up to him, but recently you just havent seen enough of him to bring up the subject. As a result, you turned to the more than occassional drink at the tavern to brighten your mood from the decision that faces you.
"Well then if you're interested, it actually... might concern you."
Your face is flushed red due to nerves, of course it doesnt directly concern him since nothing astronomical has occured in order to absolutely weigh your decision based on a man, but you didnt want to leave without warning.
"I see, well, we haven't..." His cheeks grow the slightest bit red as his eyes skip to look around then back at you.
"we haven't progressed to that yet, have we? I mean, you're not pregnant are you?"
"What?!" You're taken aback by the direct-ness of his statement, about the fact that he thought it could even have been a possibility. Was it confirming your suspicions of him returning feelings? "No, i- its not that! That is out of the question completely!" You yelp as you shake your hands as a frantic meaning of saying "Absolutely no way".
"Of course! of course.. i just figured i'd ask in case, but i guess drinking for a few days regularly isnt particularly healthy for a baby."
You roll your eyes and take another swig. Oh boy.
"It's actually more of an advice thing, i suppose."
"Ah~ well! lets discuss then, hm!" He happily takes a sip of his wine, his face surprisingly relieved.
"So? What do you need the great Master Kaeya's guidance on?" He smiles and giggles slightly.
"Actually, I'd like to take this outside."
"But its raining cats and-"
"Outside. please."
Your tone picks up more aggresively and he gets the memo. He takes one more sip of his beverage and you do the same with yours. You pay Charles and meet Kaeya right at the door.
"Get ready for the rain, sweetheart"
Your heart jumps as he grabs your wrist and swings open the door, pulling you with him down the street, stopping at a small archway behind a building, big enough to comfortably converse without being cramped or drenched.
"Now, where were we?"
"right.. well.." You look down and fidget with your thumbs, only to look back up at him and see him gazing into your eyes, examining your soul and what felt like your heart. Did he already know? It sure felt like it.
"I have a big decision to make, but i want to ask you before i come to a concrete decision."
He nods as a sign to continue talking, acknkowledging his position in helping you decide.
"I might have to move away. To natlan more specifically. I've recieved a dream~ job offer that i simply cant refuse, unless i was faced with new circumstances here in Mondstadt."
"Hm, And how do i play a role in this?" He asks as he folds his arms and leans back against the stone wall.
You explain to him his part, and he lets you talk until you are completely finished. you tell him your feelings, your worries, your doubts, and your hopes. Every single one that included him in the package. He looks at you sternly the whole time, but he looks hurt at the same time and you wonder why.
"Well, i honestly dont know what to say to this y/n. You know i cant leave Mondstadt if we were to persue eachother."
"I know."
"Then why bother telling me? Why not just leave, hm? Before damage could be done? before you told me all this, confirmed my hopes in our relationship but crushed it with the fact that you 'might' leave? You should have just spared me and left!"
He looks emotional and teary eyed, much more that you're used to seeing from a man who held such a cool composure 24/7. Have you hurt him that much? Does he hate you?
"I can always stay if you wan-"
"No. Its your dream job, and you shouldnt pass it off. I just cant promise that i'll wait for you."
He steps closer to you, inches from your face. His breath is warm and it contrasts with the cold rainy air. He slowly takes your hand and hold it in his, then lands a soft passionate kiss onto your lips. A few seconds of the kiss pass and he breaks for air and looks at you, making strong magnetic eye contact with you.
"Y/n, I can't wait for you."
"You dont have to. I can stay."
He runs his hands up your arms and grips firmly onto your shoulders and kisses you again, and when he pulls back he lets out a heavy sigh.
"There's no staying, just be safe. Please."
Your throat swells like a rock is stuck and your eyes burn hot along with your ears. You cant muster any words, you just stand there maintaining a sorrow eye contact for a few seconds.
As you both stare in silence, he slowly lets go of you, and as soon as his hands depart from yours, he turns and walks out and into the road. The further he walks and fades from your vision, the further you slide down the wall until your behind hits the wet floor as you curl up to your knees. Hard, Hot tears stream steadily down your cheeks as you hide your head in your knees, sobbing hard yet silently. Your heart aches and your stomach churns.
You want to run and look for him, grab him by the waist and embrace him in a hug from behind as you cry against his back, but he has already erased you from his plethora of memories as he sulks in his room with a drink. The night is weary and so are you. You walk home, replaying the scene in your mind over and over, and the instant you step into your home, you fall to your knees and sob once more.
You dont even close the door behind you. You cant do anything but cry, you had no idea you felt so strongly for Kaeya, but you had to put it all behind you.
He probably had.
What feels like an hour or two goes by and you barely made it to the couch, where you lay sprawled out, half on the couch and half not as you stare into empty space, thinking of nothing but everything at once. Why did his mood snap so quickly? Why did he cut you off? Was it self defense? What could he gain by pushing you away? You had no clue, but you didn't want to dwell on it and start crying again, so you just lay there trying to fall asleep.
Suddenly, a warm, slender hand grazes your back and rubs up and down softly.
"I'm sorry."
You jolt a little, but you dont get up immediately.
"How long have you been like this? Its almost night again y/n. Have you gotten up at all!? Your door was wide open, I was worried."
No response from you as you try to analyze the voice. It sounds like Kaeya, but you had remind yourself that he wanted nothing to do with you.
The man sighs and walks away. A hallucination for sure, you thought. The male comes back and lifts you by the shoulders. He sits on the couch and then lays your head onto his lap.
You look up and are met with blue eyes, one scarred and one as normal as you're used to seeing on him, though both glossy as if about to cry.
"Kaeya?"
"Mhm. Sit up Darling, you need to drink water."
You obey and sit close beside him, sipping the water he hands you with both hands on the glass like a child. He puts his arm around you and his hand on your head and gives you a soft yet quite long kiss on the head as you finish your water.
"Im sorry. We can work something out. I know that i shouldn't.. I can't push you away."
You dont fight his embrace as it gets firmer, and his body trembles slightly as if he is crying.
"Do you want me to stay?" you ask sheepishly.
"My dear, its up to you what you want. I'll follow you in whatever you decide. Im choosing to persue you, the rest is yours to seal."
"I want to stay." you state calmly.
"As you wish." He eyes your empty glass of water and gets up to pour you some more. When he comes back you sit against him again, and drink the glass empty, then put the glass on the coffee table and lay your head on his lap.
"Sleepy?"
"Mhm.."
He chuckles and holds you as you fall asleep, giving you tender kisses all over your face. When you fall asleep, he carries you bridal style upstairs to your room and tucks you into your bed. For a moment he stands there and ponders leaving you to rest, but the guilt of the words he said yesterday and seeing your state today convinced him to stay at your side. He walks to the other side of the bed and crawls in beside you, wrapping his arms around your waist and gives you one more peck before falling asleep.
You wake up once in the middle of the night to use the restroom, and when you come back to your room you're awake enough to process the fact that Kaeya was indeed in your bed. You crawl up into where you were in the bed before but this time facing him. You run your fingers along his face, feeling every bone and inch of his smooth skin, his tan beauty enhanced by the glow of the moonlight that peeked in through the window across the room from the bed. Your run your fingers down his hair and admire how his hair falls down his body. You've only been this close to him once, but never had you touched him like this. Your face was red and your smile was definitely pronounced, and as you stroke his cheek his eyes slowly open to see your expression.
"Good morning y/n~" he smiles and wraps his arms around you softly.
"How did you sleep?"
"Actually, its midnight."
"Oh, i see. Well, lets fall back asleep shall we? Or are you wide awake?"
You don't respond immediately but instead wrap your arms around him and hide your face in the crook of his neck.
"Back to sleep.."
He chuckles and brings you closer to his body, rubbing your back and stroking your hair until you both are hazy and about to fall asleep.
"I love you..." you whisper, half aware of what you just said and half not.
He pauses for a second, then gently squeezes your body as if to be his response back.
"I love you too.." he whispers back, his words echo in your mind as you drift to sleep, your dreams filled with nothing but happiness and him.
You would stay in Mondstadt, but occasionally take trips to Natlan for a few weeks, and would try to take Kaeya with you if he wasn't too busy. The two of you became inseperable, and quite the item for some time, the story of your romance left most who heard it in tears.
After every time you tell the story, he grips your hand and grabs your face softly making you look into his eye.
"I'm glad you stayed."
He says as he pulls you in for a tender kiss, which is usually embarrassing in public but you dont mind in this case, because it was of genuine emotion and not of his flirtatious teasing.
You really do love him.

i’d love you to love me (ao3)
it starts out with a pact. neither of them will date, until they can both find people to date. except, they don't expect to be honouring that years later, and when jay starts to fall in love with lola, he realises that it's time for ben to date someone too. in the most chaotic way possible.
or, a vague 10 things i hate about you au.
-
It’s a miserable day. The sky is an unrelentingly dark grey shade, cascading for miles and miles with no end in sight. The rain has been pouring down all day, and the wind mixes with it, causing the rain to hit against windows, creating a rattling sound all over. It’s that horrible misty spray that means Ben can’t even see that far in front of him, though he knows his way around Walford that well now that he really doesn’t have to look to see where he’s going. Jay’s walking out in front of him, a breaking leather ball at his feet, scraping along the wet pavement with an awful sounding scratch.
“It’s freezing!” Ben shouts over the rain, and he watches in awe somewhat, as raindrops fall onto his eyelashes, tiny little droplets clinging on for dear life. It’s true, it is freezing. The torrential rain bounces up off of the pavement and clings to his socks, climbing up onto his grey school trousers and staining them darker and darker as time goes by. There’s not a single part of him that isn’t shivering and wet, but he and Jay have a routine now, one that happens regardless of the weather.
The school’s over bell will ring out just after three, a shrieking tinny noise, one that’s surely going to be imprinted on everyone’s brain for years to come. Ben will stand next to the doors at the side of school, and then Jay will follow moments later, catching up with him. It goes unspoken, because this routine has been going on for so long without ever changing, that they’ll walk home together, strolling into a corner shop and getting as many sweets as possible, before going to their local park and staying there until they have to go home for whatever reason.
“Oh come on!” Jay turns his entire body and starts to walk backwards, the wind blowing his hood down within seconds and he scrambles to put it back up, though it’s in vain. “Are you telling me you want to go back home already? Because I know for certain you have science homework to do, and so does your mum.”
Ben looks to the ground, watching the raindrops splashing into the puddles and breaking into even tinier pieces before falling back down again. It’s almost relaxing to watch it, or it would be, if his hands weren’t currently frozen completely numb. “My mum’s got science work to do, has she?” He asks cheekily, but he knows Jay’s right. Jay’s always right. He knows that the second he walks through his door, he’s going to have to spend the rest of the evening doing his work for tomorrow, and he couldn’t think of anything worse than that, so staying at the park in the pouring rain wins yet again.
He manages to look up in time to see Jay roll his eyes, and he kicks his ball back towards Ben as they walk in the direction of the park. “You need a new ball, mate.” Ben comments, picking it up and throwing it back at Jay. He regrets picking it up, because the ball’s been collecting that much water as Jay kicked at it all the way home that it’s sopping wet and heavy.
“I know.” Jay replies, and they turn into the park. Ben’s got nowhere to sit, his usual place on the swing is collecting a puddle of muddy water underneath so the idea of sitting there doesn’t even cross his mind. Instead, he sits on the small brick wall, resting on the very edges of his coat to try and minimise how sopping wet his trousers are going to be when he eventually stands up. He realises that it probably won’t do anything sufficiently, and he’s going to be cold and wet regardless. There’s a silence that grows between them for a moment or two, but that’s normal. Jay kicks the ball against the wall that Ben’s sitting on and they both watch as chips of the bricks start to crumble away and swirl away in a stream of a puddle that runs downhill. “What happened in science today?” Jay asks, breaking the comfortable silence.
Ben huffs out a laugh, more sarcastic than anything else, because he’s been waiting all day for Jay to ask him, or at least, since the class directly before lunch. “Nothing.” He says, and then he looks down the road and sees cars driving slowly, headlights on full beam.
Jay nods slowly. “Right. So you’ve spent all day in a mood, for nothing? Makes a whole lot of sense that does, Ben.” He pauses. “I’m your brother. You’re supposed to tell me everything.”
Brother. It’s such a simple word. Of course, biologically, they aren’t brothers, but in every other sense of the word they are. They’ve been inseparable from the day they first met.
“I overheard Connor and Sarah talking.” Ben says, and he already he knows he sounds stupid for even being remotely bothered about this. “Saying that nobody would ever want to be with you, because I’m here scaring them off.”
“And you’re bothered about that?” Jay lets out a soft chuckle, resting his foot on the top of the ball. “Mate, I couldn’t care less about getting with anyone right now. Tell you what though, I wouldn’t be interested in anyone unless they wanted to be around you too. We’re a package deal, you and me.”
Ben looks up and rolls his eyes. “That supposed to be making me feel better, is it?” He laughs.
“If you were anyone else I’d be hurt by that.” Jay comments and kicks the ball a final time against the wall, so hard that Ben feels the wall shake slightly underneath him, and even more of the brick crumbles to the ground.
The rain doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon, and they’re both starting to get far too cold and hungry and wet. The grey sky does seem to be getting darker though, and that’s probably a sign for it both getting later, and the weather getting worse.
“How about we make a pact?” Jay asks, though it’s clear that he doesn’t think of the implication of his words before he speaks, if the shock on his own face is anything to go by. The wind blows down his hood once again as it whistles and swirls around them, causing ripples in the puddles.
“What pact?” Ben asks, getting to his feet and swinging his bag across his body.
Jay shrugs as he tries to think. “How about, we don’t date anyone, until we’ve both found people to date.”
It’s completely and utterly ridiculous, and they’re both well aware of that fact. But they’re also both just a few weeks away from turning sixteen years old and if they’re being completely honest, neither of them have anything better to do with their time.
There’s a silence between them for a moment as Ben tries to take in Jay’s words and then slowly but surely, he nods. “Yeah.” Ben whispers out, and he can barely hear his own voice above the deluge of rain, with heavy and harsh droplets falling around them. “Go on then.”
So that’s it. Ben agrees to the pact, and from that day on, it becomes Ben and Jay’s rule.
Neither of them would date anyone, until they both found someone to date.
It’s just that, the pact was never supposed to last as long as it has.
It’s over two years later, and Ben and Jay are still in Walford. They’re probably always going to be stuck in Walford really - they know far too many people who have tried to get out into the world, only to come back not long after. They’re both still just as inseparable, and again, that’s something that is probably never going to change. The pact is still there, it’s still something that they talk about occasionally, laughing at how ridiculous it is, and yet, it still stands, though not through a lack of trying.
Nobody has really shown Ben much interest over the last two years, besides the occasional man at a party or a club, but nothing long standing. Perhaps it’s because he still lives in Walford, around so many of the people he’s known his entire life. In such a small place, everyone knows everyone and knows everything about everyone. It’s not exactly the best place in the world to be finding a partner, even less to find a gay man.
Or it could be because of the fact that Ben's got this wall surrounding him, built up so high, guarding him and protecting him from any hurt that could possibly come his way. Probably both, really. But still, nobody has ever met Ben and shown an interest in wanting to break down his wall. Ever. The story was the same for Jay as well. Nobody ever showed an interest in him, but because everyone already knew about the pact. That was, until Lola came into his life.
They’re sitting in the Queen Vic, at a circular table right in the far corner of the room. They can see almost everyone else in the building, all at their own tables or standing against the bar, chatting away and laughing. There’s even people playing darts, walking to and from the board, doing the maths in their head. In their own little space, they’re sitting at a wobbly table of three: Ben, Jay and Lola.
It’s not unusual for the three of them to be sitting together, though it probably looks unconventional from the outside looking in, especially given the fact that Jay’s got one hand outstretched, holding onto the back of Lola’s chair protectively. Ben’s definitely more than aware that he looks like a spare part, a third wheel. He knows it too. But Lola was the one to invite him along for a few drinks, though they all know she’s got an ulterior motive. She knows about the pact now. It didn’t take long for her to find out, really. From the moment her and Jay started to get close, he told her about it, and although she laughed at first because really, it is a ridiculous pact to have, she’s now taking it upon herself to make sure the pact ends, once and for all.
Lola’s got her phone in her hand, scrolling through it with a smile on her face. She keeps looking up at Jay and nodding her head silently, looking at him expectantly and then, when he shakes his head, she continues scrolling.
“Really good conversation guys, thanks for this.” Ben jokingly states, rolling his eyes to the back of his head.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go to The Albert after this?” Lola asks, sipping on her vodka and orange.
Ben glares at Jay, knowing that Jay’s told Lola about how he’s refusing to go in there after last time. “More than sure.” He says, draining the last of his beer. “Another?” He tries to stand up, but Lola’s too quick for him, dropping her phone onto the table harshly and reaching out and grabbing his hand.
“It was one idiot, Ben.” She says warmly. “Don’t let that ruin your experience.”
He smiles tightly, but he doesn’t want to hear it. He mutters something about going to the toilet, because he doesn’t want to hear about how his first time in a gay bar was ruined by some idiot starting a fight outside, throwing about homophobic slurs and punching anyone he could get his hands onto, including Ben. He takes his time in the bathroom, throwing some water on his face in an attempt to calm himself down, and when he feels better, he rejoins Jay and Lola.
“Sorry.” He says sincerely, sitting back down at the table.
Jay shrugs his shoulders. “It’s fine mate. But Lo’s right, you know? You’re young and you’re single. You should be doing what everyone our age does and go out. Don’t let one prick stop you from wanting to do that. You deserve to be able to go to whatever bar you want to go to.”
“I know.” Ben says, smiling. “Just give me time, yeah? And then we can all go out together.”
Lola perks up at that, because she’s been begging and pleading to go to a gay bar for months now, ever since The Albert first opened it’s doors. “I could easily set you up with someone you know?” Lola says absentmindedly. “You just give me your word, and I’ll find someone.”
Ben huffs out a laugh at that, and his eyes flicker up to Jay, just in time to catch him rolling his eyes at Ben’s reaction. “Know every gay man in the area, do ya?” He chuckles, but at least it’s a genuinely happy laugh. He likes Lola, he really does. Jay really went and found someone that fit perfectly within their dynamic, and he loves him for that, because nothing would be more awkward than Ben not liking Jay’s girlfriend, or her not liking Ben. But Ben can see that Jay really likes Lola - really likes her - and they’re so good for each other. It’s obvious to see.
“That’d be impossible.” She berates, rolling her eyes. “But I definitely know a few!”
She’s looking at Ben with those puppy dog eyes and Jay’s chuckling under his breath because he knows that Ben’s going to break any second now. “Oh my God!” She practically squeals. “We could go on double dates too!”
Ben’s eyes go wide at that, and Jay just about covers up the splutter of his pint behind a cough, but Ben sees right through him.
Lola looks at Jay, practically begging him for his help to get Ben onside. “Look Ben mate, I love you, yeah? We’re not asking you to marry the next person who walks through the door, but at least try. Just go on a few dates, find out what you like. You never know.”
Ben knows he’s being stupid. He knows that now’s the time he should probably try and go on a few dates here and there, and make an attempt at letting his wall come down and try to be happy. He knows that. It’s still scary though. Terrifying, in fact. He looks between Jay and Lola, and gives in, sighing. “Fine.” He exhales, and he barely has a chance to breathe before Lola’s practically leaping over the table to hug him half to death, squealing right in his ear.
When Lola finally peels herself off of Ben, and he rubs his face in hands, Lola speaks giddily. “I’ve got the perfect person, his name is Callum.”
This is happening.

Hey I requested the isaac lahey imagine ‘memories’ I was wondering if u could do it where it’s before she died and it’s the part where Ethan, Aiden and isaac get possessed by those flies but instead of isaac it’s y/n and she attacks the twins and stuff and instead of isaac and Allison sleeping together it’s her and isaac( this is not a smut just the build up to it) and she’s all seductive and dominant and taunting and the aftermath when she isn’t possessed anymore .
Stupid Fly
Isaac Lahey x reader
Summary: Isaac isn’t the one to be possessed by Void but instead its you.
Masterlist
A/N: Okay so I watched the episode so I hope this is accurate. I’m really not good at the build up thing so sorry about that.
GIF isn’t mine
Tumblr media
Your fingers dug into the cover that you sat on, eyes fixed on the ground as your feet swung slightly. Patiently waiting for Isaac, you stopped swinging your feet and began tapping them instead. Your usual bright and lively eyes had this dark swirl to them that didn't fit, that was natural. You didn't hear his footsteps or the bag in his hand hit the ground and only turned when you heard his voice, "What are you doing here?" When your eyes met his, you only held his gaze for a second or two before scanning his face, "I thought I'd wait for you to come back. You didn't just walk out of the hospital, did you?" Isaac shrugged, falling next to you as he scanned you in caution. He could tell something was off, "It's okay. I feel a lot better. All healed," you reached a hand up, fingers grazing his cheek as your eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
"So you're okay?" Isaac didn't like the tone of your voice, soft concern and care that was usually present gone. He nodded, hand going to hold yours and pull it down to the space between the two of you, "What's wrong?" You stared down at your joined hands before giving his a slight squeeze and finally meeting his eyes once more. In response, you simply shrugged and a small smirk made your lips twitch up, "Just wanted to see you," You had leaned in and although he wished it hadn't, all reason had left Isaac as you had inched closer. He could no longer think about you seemed off, that you seemed too confident and too bold because this was the closest you had been since he had talked to about getting back together. You had been avoiding him as you said you had to work out your feelings. Maybe you had, maybe this was you finalising a decision and deciding to just go with it. But this wasn't how you would do it that nagging voice in the back of his head kept screaming at him. That voice was successfully silenced as your lips were pressed gently to his and it took near to no time for him to kiss. You hand went to his chest and you gently pushed him back wards and onto the bed as you continued.
Your hands moved to his hair, lips kissing across his cheek and to his jaw as Isaac leaned his head back to give you more access. Your hand moved to his jaw, tilting his head to face you. You both started giggling as you pecked his lips repeatedly before he finally pulled you close enough to place a longer kiss to your lips.
-
Light streamed through the crack in the curtains as the soft hum of traffic and nature twisted together and filled the room. Isaac sighed, rolling over to see you and frowning when he realised you were up and out of bed instead of cuddling close like when the two of you fell asleep. He sat up, leaning on his elbows as he watched pick up random objects to admire before placing them back. "There you are. What are you doing over there?" You glanced back over your shoulder with a small smile and you placed the small picture frame back on the dresser and leaning back onto it, "You know, I was at Allison's the other day. We were working on that text, before you came over that is. There's still a lot of weapons there. I thought her new Code was about protecting," Isaac shrugged, not understanding where you were going with this. He sat up a bit more, leaning against the head of the bed as he observed every move of yours. The way you stared around the room, how you didn't bothered by the way that you were topless with your bra on display when you normally would be, how there was this permanent smirk toying your swollen lips.
"Most of them are non-lethal," He defended and your eyes snapped back to him as you nodded, turning back to the things in his room. "Hmm... The daggers looked pretty lethal to me," he could hear the edge to your voice and frowned at the way your fingers tapped a quick beat against the book you held, "But maybe she should keep them. There's still a few of us out there who aren't quite so non-lethal... like the twins," This made him shoot up, reaching for his shirt as his frown got deeper, eyebrows knitting together in worry and confusion, "I thought we were going to give them a second chance?" He gave a small nervous laugh when you didn't seem to react at all, "You're the one to talk me into it," Isaac pointed out and this time, you spun round with an angered expression pulling at your features. Your teeth dug into you bottom lip before you shrugged and snapped, "I changed my mind, they don't deserve it,"
Isaac moved closer to the other end of the bed, reaching for your hands to pull you closer, really panicked by the wild in your eyes. "Things are different now. It doesn't have to be like that anymore," You scoffed at his words, rolling your eyes at the seriousness and concern in his. You took his hands in yours and took those few steps closer before leaning down closer to his lips, "You do remember them trying to kill you numerous times, right?" Isaac gave you pleading as he shook his head at your determination. He wasn't liking where this was going, "They're helping," You dropped his hands with a frown, backing away as you grabbed your top from the floor and pulled it on, "I had a feeling you'd say something like that," He watched you walk out out of the room, slamming the door behind you as you heard him shout after you, "Y/N, wait! Y/N!"
-
"See? That's what I'm talking about. I'd probably be in his pack by now if it wasn't for my psychotic brother - the one who has to kill everything in sight," you smiled to yourself when you heard their voices, gripping the weapon you stole from Allison tighter as you tried to find them. They keep shouting like that and it'll only make it easier, no werewolf abilities needed. "Careful, Ethan... You're currently the only thing in my sight," As you turned the corner, you saw them go for each other and a smirked pulled at your lips. They really did like making it easier for you. You raised the gun you had in your hands, shooting Ethan in the back and watching them both writhe in pain fro the electricity flowing through them. Swinging the gun to rest across your shoulder you took a step closer, "I guess this is the part where I say something witty,"
You gave a small hollow chuckled, hitting Ethan in the face with the back of the gun when you were closer enough, successfully knocking him out. Your smirk fell and you turned to Aiden with that emotionless face and deadly look in your eyes that made a shiver run down his spine. Or maybe that was the electricity. You crouched down to him, head tilting as you scanned his face. With the shake of your head and the small quirk up of your lips, you whispered, "I'm not witty," and knocked him out just like twin.
You dumped the gun and with a huff, began to drag them to the boys locker room. You dropped their hands, letting them hit the ground with a small smack and turned to Coach's office. Digging through his drawers, a frown made its way to your lips as you began to mutter to yourself, "Come on, Coach. You gotta have a lighter," the smirk took its place back on your lips as you lifted the lighter to be level with your eyes. You grabbed the bottle of alcohol with the piece of fabric stuffed into the top, hesitantly slightly. Was this really the best idea? Shaking your head at the thought, you reassured yourself, "I'm gonna burn it down... For Erica... For Boyd... For Isaac... For everyone! I'm gonna burn it. I'm gonna burn it," with final nod, you walked out to stand by the twins, lighting the fabric. Just as you about you were to throw at them, the fabric was pulled out of the bottle and you turned to see Kira with her katana in hand. You stood in silence for a beat or two before you shrugged, "Nice sword,"
The bottle fell from your hands and smashed by your feet but you couldn't care less, immediately focusing on attacking Kira. You were doing this and if she got in your way then you'd just have to deal with it, right? She managed to push you to the ground and you huffed out in frustration. Why couldn't she just leave you to do it? "Y/N!" You turned, seeing Allison and Isaac both standing either side of Kira. Slowly pulling yourself up, you shook out your arms and rolled your shoulders as the three backed away into Coach's office. Allison closed the door as Isaac and Kira pushed the desk in front to block you out. The twins had stood up behind you and you spun to face them, claws beards as you heard the others talk in Coach's office, "Was that a good idea?"
"Probably not," You swung first and managed to hit Aiden but Ethan got you from behind and you could Kira's worried voice as you struggled, "They're not going to kill each other, are they?" You stomped on Ethan's foot and got out of his grip only for Aiden to get you. Ethan joined him and they both shoved you into the door, the window shattering upon impact. "I think they're going to try," Isaac muttered.
Somehow, you'd got a slight upper hand and was managing perfectly fighting the two at once. That was until the other three began to try and break you apart. They eventually managed to take control, Isaac's main focus being you. Deaton had arrived soon enough, pulling the stupid fly that had managed to sneak through a cut on your side from the Oni's sword, just like Derek. Isaac could see the regret cross your face, hands rubbing at your eyes before you shot up and began profusely apologising to the twins. You couldn't look at the blonde as you helped the twins up and heard the update from Deaton and it wasn't until afterwards and Isaac pulling actually pulling you away from the others, did you finally look up at him. "You okay?" He asked quick, scanning you over. Even with Deaton saying you were fine, Isaac couldn't help but worry. "I'm fine," you turned to go but Isaac pulled you right back making a low growl leave your lips. The boy dropped your wrists, backing away as your eyes flickered to their beta yellow and back before a hand slapped over your mouth in shock. "I'm so sorry," you mumbled and Isaac was quick to hold your hand and reassure you. "No, hey, it's okay," he paused, taking a deep breath before leaning forward slightly and avoiding eye contact as he asked, "Do you regret it?"
"What? No, of course not. I still love you. I just, I didn’t want to have it happen that way, you know? And it was...different. Not bad, just it was weird ‘cause I was possessed-” Isaac’s chuckle cut off your ramble, a blush rising on your cheeks as you watched him smile at you. “It wasn’t exactly the way I wanted it to happen either,” he interlaced his fingers with yours as you both stared at your hands, dopey smiles on your lips. “I wanna work this out, I do. I just need a bit more time,” Isaac met your eyes, noticing the crease in your brows and the small frown on your lips and the way you tilted your head to meet his eyes. He nodded slowly, not letting go of your hand just yet. He didn’t want to ever let go.
You finally pulled away, sent a half grin and began to make your way down the hall, disappearing from his sight as you turned the corner.

Crosshair- It Won’t Stop
Prompt: “Hey, look at me. Focus on me alright?” and “I didn’t know where else to go” requested by @bluehumanknightzine !! Thank you so much for the requested
Pairings: Crosshair x Fem!Reader
Warnings: blood and being shot
Summary: Crosshair will never pass up on an opportunity to teach a shiny a lesson, so when someone insults Echo he has to take charge. It doesn’t always go as planned.
Notes: this is based off of @sorry-but-no-sorry ‘s art!! Please go check them out!!
79’s was basically deserted, mainly because it was pushing 0300 in the morning, but Crosshair couldn’t sleep. Not after what had happened earlier that night.
Typically the callus sniper wasn’t easily pissed off. Odd looks and judgemental whispers from regs was something he was used to by now. He developed thick skin, learned to just enjoy a night of drinking with his brothers and let loose a little. He was used to the rude remarks, Echo wasn’t.
None of the regs recognized him anymore, his robotic legs and the bolts screwed into his head along with his pale skin made him difficult to recognize. The normal clones would never intentionally bully the lost 501st member, but they would happily bully a bad batch member.
Crosshair scanned the room for the 312th trooper, knowing he would still be here. Worst thing was, the trooper was a shiny, and he had only identified his battalion by association.
Sure enough, he was still in the back booth, lips practically swallowing a young twi’lek dancer. He rolled his eyes, strutting over to the pair in the back.
The shiny seemed to feel Cross’s icy presence, taking a break from his makeout with the dancer to move out of the booth.
“Back so soon?” asked the trooper, crossing his small arms and jutting his chin out.
The sniper of Clone Force 99 didn’t waste any time with small talk, he withdrew his fist and landed a punch to the jaw of the shinty. It was so strong that it even knocked the reg back, the only thing that was preventing him from falling to the ground was catching himself on the table.
The clone rubbed his jaw, eyebrows arching to form a cold smirk on his face. “Lose a touch of common sense in your test tube? Eh, defect?” he grumbled.
Crosshair didn’t reply and calmly pulled a toothpick from his pocket, sticking it in his mouth and allowing it to methodically roll from side to side. He prepared to charge, but what he didn’t expect was for the shiny to pick up his blaster and shoot him in the side of the stomach where his armor didn’t cover.
Cross stumbled backwards, hand already gripping the underside of his stomach.
The trooper had no clue what he had done, he had reacted out of pure instinct and hadn’t calculated the consequences when he fired. He froze momentarily, proceeding to toss the blaster to the side and sprint out of 79’s.
Crosshair still couldn’t believe what had happened. Even as he started down at the crimson liquid beginning to stain his blacks, he refused that he had been shot.
He couldn’t go back to the Marauder, he wouldn’t make it back alive.
There was only one other person on Coruscant he knew he could get to before bleeding out.
***
At first you thought it was a dream, when you heard the knock at your door. You rolled onto your opposite side, flipping the silk pillow to have the cold side press against your face.
Another knock made its way to your bedroom.
If there’s a third then I’ll get up,
Five seconds pass, and the third knock sounds weaker than the first two.
Swinging your legs off the side of the bed, you reach for your housecoat and move a few pieces of hair out of your face. “Coming!” you shouted, voice a little groggy.
As you enter the living room, you catch a glance at the clock and see how late it is.
The small droid in your room beeps in attention, it’s different colored panels lighting up. “It’s alright R4, I’ll see who it is.”
R4 chirps in response, rolling to the kitchen and out of view.
You opened the doors to your room, the cold chill of the hallway hitting your bare legs. Squinting, you could hardly make out the figure in front of you. “Crosshair?” You yawned, wrapping your robe around your torso.
His words sounded difficult to push out, “I’m sorry.” He sucks in a sharp breath between his teeth, something falling and hitting your foot.
“For waking me up?” you responded tiredly, reaching down to pick up whatever he dropped.
As your hand touched the fallen toothpick, you found that something was dripping from his armor. At first you perceived it to be nothing but sweat; however, the putrid smell that met your nose told you otherwise.
“R4 turn the lights on.” You said sternly, within milliseconds you could fully see him standing in front of you.
“Shit.” You mumbled, finally seeing the huge gash in his stomach.
His entire face was pale and he was obviously nauseous, yet he still refused to let you help him onto the couch. He stumbled his way to the sofa, collapsing once he got there. Every movement that Cross produced was followed by a muffled groan or wince.
You crouched down next to him, starting at ripping all of his armor off while calling out to your droid, “R4, get me the emergency bag.”
Your hands tore the soiled fabric away from his torso, leaving him with nothing but a sad excuse of a shirt and his pants. “Dank Farrik, Cross.” You said out of pure frustration, seeing just how bad the wound was.
His head lulled to the side, a small stream of tears falling down the side of his face as his eyes closed.
“Crosshair, no.” You reached up and pinched his chin, jerking his head to face you. It woke him up, “hey, look at me. Focus on me alright? I need you to tell me what happened.” You were no medic, but every senator was required to know basic medical skills.
“79’s,” he began as R4 handed you a bottle of alcohol, Cross winced as you poured it onto the gash and shifted uncomfortably, “shiny made-“ he groaned loudly, “- shiny made fun of echo.” His brother’s name was clouded by his shaky breathing as you poured more alcohol.
“What’d he say?”
You placed a clean rag on top of his wound, cleaning around it as he tried to continue, “Went back and he shot me.” He ignored your previous question, not wanting to say it out loud.
“This is going to hurt, but you need to stay still.” You commanded, the threaded needle lingering over the exposed and seared skin.
Without looking up, you heard him speak again, “what’s happening?”
“You’re bleeding out.” You sighed, “I need to give you stitches.”
“No, this,” he wiped his face with his bare hand, examining the clear liquid dripping down his palm.
“You’re crying, you got shot.”
He shook his head and tried to sit up, “no, what is happening? This isn’t possible.” He wiped his face again, over and over. “It won’t stop,” he sobbed, “why won’t it stop?”
You wanted to console him, but you had to get this gash closed. You stuck the needle through his skin, and it was almost like he didn’t feel it due to how preoccupied he was with the fact that he was crying.
Cutting the thread with your teeth, you handed the needle back to R4 and placed a strip of bacta over his wound. “R4 comm Tech. Tell him to come down here immed-“
“No!” Cross jumped, “he can’t see me like this.”
You placed your hand on his knee, “he’s seen you hurt thousands of times.”
He pointed to his face, “Like this.”
His eyes and cheeks were stained red from crying. Blood was dried in his hair and it stained all of his body. You knew how embarrassed he felt because he understood how helpless and weak he looked in the moment.
You calmed your tone, not wanting him to jump again and possibly burst the stitches, “R4, comm Tech that Crosshair drunkenly stumbled to my quarters in the senate building and is now sleeping on my couch.”
Beeping in approval, your small Astro droid excused himself to your room to fulfill his duties.
Your hands would most definitely be tinted red tomorrow morning, rather this morning, at your meeting with Bail Organa.
Wiping your forehead, you stood back up to inspect the damage that had been done.
Your white couch was now a lovely red tie-dye, as was your white nightgown.
Crosshair refused to look at you, “I didn’t know where else to go.”
“I’m glad you came here.” You ran your hand up and down his thigh, just as a gentle touch to remind him that you were still there.
“I need a shower.” he mumbled. That was his way of asking you to help him get cleaned up.
Carefully, you helped him to the refresher. Your back was turned to him as you drew a bath, wanting to give him as much privacy as possible as he undressed. You poured a small amount of salts in the water, to help rid his body of any bacteria that had already begun to settle in his wound. He rejected your offer to help him into the bathtub, his ego not allowing him to accept.
You sat behind the marble tub, just so you could see the back of him. Placing your hand on his forehead, you gently pulled his head back and poured water over hair. His dusty green eyes fluttered shut each time you did this, his shoulders finally relaxing.
Once his hair was rid of blood, you moved onto his face. You wetened a clean cloth, and benevolently wiped it under his eyes and neck. He sighed heavily, “he called him a deficient defect.” His jaw clenched under your grip.
You froze momentarily, feeling your own anger bubble up at the thought of Echo having to hear that. Echo had always been tough, but you knew that that probably hurt him. If it didn’t, Cross wouldn’t have gone back at 0300 to teach the shiny a lesson.
After wiping the final strip of blood off of him, you turned your head and helped Crosshair up. He wrapped a towel around his waist, flinching as it touched the wound. Luckily the medicated bandage on top of it kept it numb, making it easier for him to do things on his own.
It wasn’t unusual for the bad batch to randomly stop by whenever they were on Coruscant. When General Kenobi would ask for their aide in a mission they often needed to wait a few nights for approval from the council. This usually led to all five of them sleeping in your bed with you. In the morning Hunter and Tech were frequently found on the floor though.
You set a fresh set of black pajamas on the edge of your bed for Crosshair, leaving him in your as you went to choose a new nightgown from your closet. You chose the same sleepwear you had on now, just in black and not covered in blood.
It felt immaculate to shower, and with enough scrubbing all of the blood successfully left your hands.
Crosshair had already situated himself on your bed, flicking through the holodramas you had recorded. You wrung the excess water from your hair, tossing the dirty nightgown into the trash can and doing the same with the towel once you were finished.
Once you were comfortable, Crosshair turned his head towards you while his eyes were still fixated on the holo. “What’s the one you, Tech, and Wrecker watch?”
You raised an eyebrow, “I thought you said it was annoying.”
He didn’t answer, facing his head back towards the colorful projection.
“Ails of Alderaan.” you smiled, pointing to the title he was about to skip.
Despite his lack of core strength in the moment, he still managed to pull the blanket underneath you to get you closer to him. He gently pressed his head on your shoulder, gingerly touching at your fingers before intertwining them with his own. “Don’t tell the boys, please.”
Crosshair wouldn’t care if you told them he was shot, he was referring to the fact that he cried earlier.
You moved your head to the side and kissed his temple, “I won’t.”

𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 | It’s the first day of Winter Break, and you want to surprise Gojo with a cup of hot cocoa, instead, Gojo surprises you.       Blinking your eyes furiously, you adjusted to the dark room. Immediately, you breathe a sigh of relief. You didn’t have to wake up at such an early hour, and for once you woke up refreshed. It was finally the first day of Winter Break, you had overworked yourself, making sure that you were to spend the end of the year work-free and available for as many Christmas parties you wanted to attend.        Yawning, stretching as you did so, you look over your shoulder. There’s a slight smile dawning on Gojo’s lips.  His long eyelashes fluttered when he slept. He slightly snored, grabbing at where you once slept in his arms.   The room was unusually cold. You had always awoke to sunlight streaming from the window, realizing that could only mean that another day of work was ahead of you. But now, the room was dim, and freezing might you add. You couldn’t wait to snuggle with Gojo, this was perfect cuddle weather.   Tearing your eyes away from Gojo’s pretty face, you instead looked at the door. Years of photos with Gojo absolutely slathered the poor thing, past memories all flickering before your eyes. Pictures in Disneyland, bright colors in contrast with the rather dark clothes he always seemed to wear.   Once in a while, you would see pictures of Yuuji, Shoko, Megumi, Nobara, just about every Tokyo Jujutsu Tech School member there was, and even Utahime, celebrating good times with Gojo.      You didn’t find yourself in many of the pictures, but the ones you did find yourself happened to be some of your fondest memories.   Far more common were pictures of you, with ridiculous, shit, you’d even go as far as to say downright ugly faces while he told you a stupid joke were also taped sloppily, some photos were even slanted.    Gojo had made it a firm promise to take pictures of you when you least expected it, because that’s when he always found you the cutest.   You peek at Gojo’s sleeping face once more, a slight giggle rising from your throat that you struggled to silence. His mouth, slightly agape, was now drooling onto the pillow he oh so gracefully rested on.     Jerking your head up and snapping out of your Gojo daze, you realized that you were supposed to make your daily morning coffee for you and him today. You had chewed him out multiple times, telling him that the way he made coffee was nauseating. Usually, Gojo would always accompany the bitter drink with 8 sugarcubes, which was not your thing.   He always seemed to forget, honestly you couldn’t really tell with him, giving you a mug of absurdly sweetened coffee every morning. You always foolishly assumed that he had listened to you from the last scolding, so you would always sip it, letting the coffee coat your pallet, but promptly spit it out as soon as you realized how sickly sweet it was.     “Satoru! This is too sweet!”   “Honeybun, you’re the sweetest thing in this room, what do you mean the coffee could be too sweet? Not possible.” he would inquire innocently, tilting his head to the side.   You’d frown, shaking your head and muttering about the acts of distaste you’d do to him before Gojo bursts into a fit of laughter, pointing at you and watching you unenthusiastically look back. Most likely fuming silently, but you didn’t want to tell him that.   “You’re so fucking cute when you’re angry, (Y/N).”     “Satoru, I can literally not survive the day without coffee. Whatever you’re serving me is definitely not the coffee I want, and sooner or later I’ll be dropping dead.”     He would shrug playfully, as if he didn’t even understand the core concepts of what you were trying to tell him. But you knew he did, he just didn’t want to do it.    You would clench your fists, trying to look threatening. Your back straightening, and on your tippy toes even though you knew you could never be as tall as him. It never ever worked though, he would just continue to laugh harder, but that was just the routine.    “Then do it yourself, sweetie. I wake up at the asscrack of dawn just to make you a cup of coffee. I don’t know about you, but that’s the best show of love.”      “Oh I will. I’ll do it well.”      And so, you weren’t lying. The two of you began to take turns. You woke up even earlier than you did for work, and made him his coffee (with extra sugar, just as he likes it) while also making yours, making sure to relish the bitter and frankly delicious black drink, void of any sweetening. The next day, he would as well. He never listened to your sugar lectures though, making sure to add 3-4 cubes just to make you angry.    You had pretty much given up on all hope of ever getting your ideal coffee from Satoru, it was beyond him to even listen. Besides, you had grown to like the sweetness.   Speaking of brown sweet liquids, it was a perfect hot cocoa morning. The snow was beginning to pile up outside, pure white blanketing just about everything. You hastily threw on an oversized sweater Gojo owned, which you had found strewn on the ground.   You rolled your eyes, that guy was a mess. What would he do without you?   Trudging and stumbling your way into the kitchen like a newborn fawn, you flicked on the lights. As soon as the lights came on, you shielded your eyes from the brightness. Cursing as you pulled out a chair, your eyes slowly adjusting, pulling the chair over to the shelves and cabinets out of reach.   Now standing on the wooden chair, you grumbled. So much for being a good girlfriend, your legs ached for some reason, so every time you stood on your tippy toes, you winced.   Knocking down a bottle of vegetable oil into the sink, you were startled by such an incredibly loud noise. Your eyes widen and your legs tangle as you scramble, almost falling backwards. Grabbing onto the cabinet’s ledge, you breathed a sigh of relief as the chair stabilized.    This was a blessing in disguise, as the chocolate syrup came into view.   A feeling of triumph flooding you, you happily hummed gently pulling it out. Setting it down on the counter, you got down, moving the chair over to the right.   Standing back onto the chair, you placed a finger on your lips, slightly rubbing them. Your memory wasn’t doing you very well, forgetting where all the extra add-ons for baked goods were.   Your tongue stuck out to the side, swinging a random cabinet’s doors wide open. You had guessed correctly, sprinkles of various vivid colors stood idly, eye-catching colors on full display. A fine coat of dust had settled on the caps.   You coughed into your arm, now rummaging through the many sprinkles that Gojo would insist on buying because, “they were too cute to pass up.”      Sometimes, you swore the guy was a middle-aged Pinterest mom.   Yanking out a half opened bag of Jumbo Marshmallows, you did a small victory dance. Normally, Gojo would inhale the darned things, but he was asleep, and very soundly at that. Finally able to have your first taste of marshmallows in a while, you popped a couple in your mouth, practically melting.   So sweet.   Strolling over to the fridge while popping more marshmallows in your mouth, you lazily threw the bag onto the counter. Swinging the fridge door wide open, you shivered at the cold air, hauling a jug of milk out.   As usual, it was half full. Gojo would insist on eating all his cookies with milk, and if he didn’t have milk with his cookies, he would not eat them, stating that it was against his beliefs to even begin to stare at a cookie without a cold glass of milk at the side.   He was probably a 9 year old trapped in a 28 year olds body.   Humming a short tune, you poured the milk into a mug that Gojo had bought for you as a souvenir on a business trip. Painted onto it was a beautiful scene. Flourishing, vibrant flowers only half-heartedly concealing an undisturbed pond, deers frolicking around it. The mug was your favorite cup, and even Gojo, who most likely had the memory span of a goldfish when it came to unnecessary facts such as this one, knew it.   You flipped the chocolate syrup bottle upside down, smacking the top. Making a note to yourself to buy chocolate syrup the next time you went out. Strong arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you in closer.   “Boo.”   Startled, you twirled around, expecting a rather friendly home invader, or something along the lines of that. Instead, you were greeted with Gojo Satoru’s face. Satoru’s eyebrow twitches, looking at you with an amused expression.   “Scared? We’re on the same boat.” he snickered, “woke up to some loud ass bang.” Gojo sleepy whispered into your ear, ruffling your hair with his large, calloused hands. His chin now resting on your right shoulder.     “I dropped the vegetable oil on accident.” You ignored the light, fluttering feeling when he touched you.     “Gosh, you’re a clumsy one aren’t you, sugar?”       Scoffing, you whip your head back to the hot chocolate. An unhealthy serving of chocolate syrup was splattered inside the mug, already blending with the milk.   “Don’t turn your back on me, pumpkin.” whining playfully, tugging at your left shoulder. There was something about such a playful, childish Gojo that you loved. You wished you got to see it more often.    You pretend to be annoyed, looking at him, now standing up without the support of your shoulder, in the eye now. A flicker of mischievousness over his face, he looks down at you.   “How thoughtful.” kissing your temple, he yawned. “Making hot chocolate for me? Oh hey- you even got the exact same amount of chocolate I like.”   “Satoru.” hands on your hips, you were bemused. How could one even like sugar this much?    “This is an ungodly amount of chocolate syrup, and can NOT be good for you.”   His warm gaze stared back, a slight curve to his lips now. You swear you could die a happy girl now, Gojo wasn’t sleepy very often, so when he was, you made sure to relish it. Usually, when you were lucky enough to be in the presence of a sleepy Gojo, he was always softer. Giving you small, coy smiles. Your retort didn’t even seem to register in his brain in the slightest.   “I want it, though.”   You sighed, facepalming.     “Ooooh, marshmallows!” suddenly bursting with energy he never exhibited before seeing the sugary treat, his long arm extended over to the bag, tugging at it to get it closer to him before finally shoving 3 or more into his mouth.   “Satoru!” you yank his hand back from the entrance of his mouth, able to save a few, albeit a bit ugly and smooshed, marshmallows.   “Wha?” he rubbed his eyes, chewing noisily on the marshmallows he was lucky enough to get into his mouth.   “Baby. We need those marshmallows, here, can you microwave a bowl of them? Save a few for later.”   He nodded obediently, tugging a bowl out of the “washed dishes” section of the sink. Wiping it down sloppily with a towel. He dug his hand into the marshmallow bag, throwing a few handfuls into the bowl before carefully placing the bowl into a microwave, sneaking a few more into his mouth before jabbing at a few buttons.    “There.” he gave you a crooked grin and a thumbs up, walking back over to you, placing warm fingers against your cheek, suddenly jumping back.   “Holy shit, babygirl, you’re cold.”   About to respond, you too realized how cold you were. Lightly shivering, your hands seemed to be blocks of ice.   “Babe, can you go get an extra sweater-”   Hands under your sweater (well, technically his) suddenly, his warm, big hands massaged your breasts. You yelped, the hot contact against your cold skin was electrifying. His thumbs, rubbing over your nipples lazily, sent even more shivers down your spine. Quietly moaning, you looked back at Gojo, who seemed to thoroughly savor every little sound you made.   “Like that, lil girl~?”   “S-Satoru! Not now… I’m making you s-something!”   “Hot cocoa doesn’t take a chef to make.” he placed kisses on your neck, lightly suckling on your bare skin.   “I-I know, but just… N-not now.” you stammered, he was now tweaking your nipples, gently pulling them. He didn’t seem to register the request though, but instead was drawing lazily  on your breast.   “That better, missy?” he questioned, watching you catch your breath and gulp. Resting his chin on your shoulder once more.   “Mmmmm.” you responded, thoroughly enjoying his warm touch. Closing your eyes, enjoying the mystifying feeling his hands always gave you.    Loudly, the microwave beeped. Suddenly jumping up from the loud occurrence, Gojo cursed under his breath and jogged over to the microwave, swinging the handle open.   “Great news, (Y/N). I didn’t burn the marshmallows!”   Grumbling under your breath, and wishing all hell to the microwave for disrupting such an intimate event, you nodded, giving him a few weak claps for his rather stupid achievement. Gesturing for him to bring the bowl over, you pulled out a spoon from the drawer beneath you.   As soon as Gojo placed the bowl on the counter, he zoomed back to where he had left off, grabbing one of your breasts and squeezing it. This time, he was massaging one of your shoulders.   Your breathing was heavier when he did this, Gojo noted, watching as you struggled to mix the chocolate syrup and milk together. He did this for a while, eyeing the cooling marshmallow.   He swiped up a dollop, wiping it down your neck. Letting out a gasp by the sudden warmth, you assumed it was Gojo’s mouth. To your surprise, it wasn’t.   He licked the cloud of fluff, before straight up placing his entire mouth on it, lightly sucking and licking your skin. Your panties were getting awfully wet.   “L-love, we n-need the fluff to a-add the finishing touch to t-the hot cocoa.” you would mutter, trying not to collapse from the pleasure.   “You getting wet?” now lightly nibbling on your skin, his hand left your breast, dunking his hand underneath the fabric of your panties. He sneered, realizing the puddle that had seeped itself into the material.   “Aw, you’re absolutely wet. Fuck am I saying?” he swirled his finger around your entrance, lightly dipping one of his fingers in before he took it out. Whimpering, your walls clenched around something that wasn’t there.   “Anyways, let's get back to the hot cocoa!” innocently licking his glistening finger, he looked at you.   ‘What? Y-you can’t do that to me-!”   “Isn’t that what you wanted?” he chirped back, smiling devilishly.   “That’s what I wanted before-”   “Hush up, slut.” he rubbed your head with one hand, the other, stroking your cheek.     You didn’t realize how hot you got when he called you a slut, whimpering, the hot cocoa long forgotten on the counter as you leaned into his chest.     “Aw, you’re so cute.” tugging on your cheeks softly, you look up at him, while he looked down. Even though you were his girlfriend, you didn’t really see his eyes often. They were a brilliant shade of aquamarine, flecks of a darker blue were also sprinkled amongst the sea of various shades of blue.   “You want something? You’re giving me those puppy eyes.” Still pulling at your cheeks, he stared down patiently, unable to hide the smile on his face.   “I hate when you tease me.” you blurt out, surprisingly coherent, even though Gojo was pinching your cheek. Another flicker of amusement on his face.   “That’s not how you ask for something you want.”   He stopped pinching your cheeks, now staring at you. You couldn’t quite tell what he was thinking about, his face was blank, eyes cloudy.   “Mmm, I’ll give you one last chance before you get punished. Now missy, what do you want?”   You tugged at the hem of his pants, still making eye contact.   “You can’t have that, sweetie.” he straightened you back up, so that you weren’t leaning on his chest any longer. “It’s way too early.”   “Then what was the point of teasing me?” you groaned, clasping your hands together and looking at him. “Please?” you were sure to have your eyelashes flutter.   He laughed, shaking his head. “Sorry, princess.”   You groaned, getting down onto the cold floor, getting onto your knees, looking at his pleasurably entertained face.   “...What about now?”    He chuckled, rubbing your head again. “No, baby. I’m just not in the mood, but I can make a recommendation that works with me. Although, you’re really cute when you’re on your knees for me.”   You nodded, nervously anticipating whatever he wanted to do.   You didn’t need to wait, though, he carried you over to the table, like a princess, unclothing you quickly. Throwing his sweater onto the floor once again, you felt your heart jump a little. A small pile of clothing consisting of the sweater, your panties, and a t-shirt was crumpled up on the floor.   He cupped your breasts, leaning over the table to look at them. His expression softened, placing delicate kisses on each breast, making you gasp a little.   “So cute.” whispering, rubbing your nipples once again.   Your hands found their home in Gojo’s hair, now clenching onto his snowy white locks. He grunted a little as you pushed his head further into your chest, effectively telling you to start suckling on the now slightly abused domes.    “Just a sec, (Y/N).” extending his impossibly long limbs to grab the marshmallow fluff bowl, his long fingers danced at the rim, then pulled it closer to his chest. Yanking the spoon out of the bowl, he spread the lukewarm fluff on your body, you weren’t expecting such warmth, and you let out a yelp, realizing what he was slathering onto you.   “Satoru! D-did you forget what I said e-earlier?”   “Nope, I just don’t care.” sadistically grinning, he ducked his head down, the space between your breasts and his face non existent. He had practically smooshed himself into your embrace, your arms around his head. He was good with his tongue, you had to admit, too good.   Goosebumps grew on your skin, no matter how many times you two fucked senseless, he still had such an effect on you. His tongue swirling around your nipple, fingers rubbing and teasing the other. You felt his hot breath against your skin, and you couldn’t help but think how good it felt.     Strands of hair tickled you as he began to noisily slurp, before coming back up again. Your breast was glistening with spit, few thin lines of marshmallow fluff left over. He licked them up, before scooping up a few dollops of marshmallow fluff onto you, looking hungrily at the attention-starved breast, before diving back down. Fingers now giving the spoiled nipple almost close to 0 action.     He licked the hard nipple a few more times before sucking onto it, as if he was a baby. I mean, he probably was. Afterall, he was a manchild. Regardless, you found yourself heavily breathing, hugging his head like it was the last thing you’d ever do. His teeth lightly nibbled, making you jump a little. Now biting onto it, you squealed.   He glanced up, before going back down, licking the sensitive bud. You felt a rush near your lower regions, a familiar warmth rushed to your cheeks.   “S-Satoru! I think I’m gonna-!”   You weren’t even going to finish the sentence, the white, hot liquid pooling out of you as soon as you uttered a few words. Gojo’s attention was now focused on you, before looking down.   “Woah, lil girl. That’s a large mess. I didn’t know your pussy needed any attention.” he directed his gaze towards your pussy, spreading the folds and softly examined it.   “How pretty.” he muttered, he flicked his thumb on your clit, making you moan loudly.   “FUCK!” you threw a hand over your mouth, he laughed, his breath tickling you.    “You’re really wet.”   Without any warning before hand, he dove in between your legs, beginning to noisily slurp at your folds, dipping his tongue into your entrance.   You began to practically scream louder, you were fuzzy, your body, your mind, everything. Unable to cover your moans, you began to grimace at the stares your neighbors would give you when you went out for the mail. Gojo would laugh, telling you that, “He was just trying to show the world you were his.” and not pay any mind, cursing him for being so skilled, you struggled to contain all the noises you were making.   You felt his tongue tease your entrance playfully, flicking your clit a few times for extra measure, you were now wildly thrashing, and you knew Gojo couldn’t wait to ridicule you over dinner.   About to straight up shove his head closer into you, his tongue finally stuck inside of you. Letting out a sigh of relief mixed with added pleasure, he skillfully lapped at your juices. Noisily slurping away at you, he glanced up.    You were trying to sit up, but were struggling as you did so. The waves of pleasure sent you crashing back down onto the table.   You felt him exhale through his nose, tickling you once again. He closed the little space between you and his face, as soon as he was in contact with your skin, you wrapped your legs around his back, trying to close the distance that wasn’t there.   Now, his tongue was reaching you in places you’d never think he would. Flush, hot skin was sweating against the table surface, but you paid no mind, promising yourself to wipe the top later. Hair strands practically glued to the sides of your head due to the sweat, you whined again, feeling yourself close to cumming.   You were about to speak again, warning Gojo, but you couldn’t. Before the words could even spill out of your mouth, you felt yourself burst.   Gojo, seemingly unaware, was still lapping at your walls. You looked at him, breathing heavily. His eyes widened, and you felt him stop licking for a while, before you saw him gulp and stand back up.   His eyes twinkled a little in the light, and you straightened, sitting on the table, your heart still beating rapidly.   “You never told me you were gonna cum.”   You turned your head to the side, about to retort, before you realized the empty bowl of marshmallow fluff.   “Satoru! I told you to not use it all!” (resposting because i think im shadowbanned, please interact if u saw this!)

“Well… Welcome home.”
Seungcheol shoots you a small smile from behind as he watches you trudge past him towards the bed. He toes his shoes off quietly before setting your things down by the sofa, a soft sigh on his lips.
“Seungcheol, are you really sure about this? Really, I can just get a hotel...”
He sits with you on the bed; arm draped around your shoulder as he tucks you into his side. “We’re really going to need to figure things out pretty quickly but… yes. I’m sure. I mean, even if it’s just temporarily until you can find a safer place to live in. Which, by the way, can we talk about that? If you’re okay with it.”
Biting your lip, you slightly pull away as you peer up at Seungcheol. He takes note of your puffy, red eyes; a frown of his own painted on his face. He could hear your sniffles the entire ride back home but he decided to not say anything, in fear of exacerbating the situation.
“I---It happened a couple months ago. Do you remember that week I was doing a stream per day as a thank you gift for my subscribers? Well, I stepped out one afternoon to run some errands and---and when I came back, the door was just ...ajar. But also, nothing was really missing? Just a few things here and there I knew I wouldn’t miss and my filming camera. I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, but the cops came by to take a statement anyway...”
“Didn't you stream that night though?”
You nod shamefully, “I know I shouldn’t have, but I figured since nothing stolen was really irreplaceable. And I had a spare camera I ended up using so I thought it’d be okay.”
The two of you sigh in unison, settling into the quietness of Seungcheol, and now, your apartment. “Well, I’m glad you’re safe. That’s the most important thing, right?”
“Yeah, and I’ll help with the bills and stuff, ‘Cheol! We’ll go halfsies on it, okay? I’ll pull my weight around here.”
You shoot him a shy smile as you wrap your arms around one of his. “Maybe I should take up Jeongguk with that collab stream idea…”
“Speaking of…”

Sunday morning is a whirlwind of phone calls and favour-chains, big boxes and Jeongguk knocking early in the morning when he finally shows up.
“I’m ready to go whenever! Seokjin-hyung’s pretty upset he has to take my early shift but I promised him that I’d take his night shift and swore to never mention the time he broke the hot dog machine to Namjoon.”
Seungcheol turns to you, “So, I called the police department and asked if there were any updates and what we can do. All they could really tell me is that we’re free to go back to the apartment since they replaced the door and that they’ve already taken as many fingerprints as they can, so we can go get your things.” He pauses, “We probably shouldn’t try to take everything so quickly so we should go in and get your essential things and then just go back to grab the others later on, if that’s okay?”
You nod in response, making sure you have your things before the three of you head out. “My landlord texted me and told me to tell her when we get there so she can give me the new key.”
Jeongguk pops the gum in his mouth, heavy boots resounding through the apartment as he makes his way to the door.
“Let’s go get some shit!”
Tumblr media
“So can we discuss the deal we got going on here?” Jeongguk bounces with giddiness from Seungcheol’s backseat, unable to sit still at the thought.
“Well, we can do two streams.” You take a second to turn around from the front seat, eyes locking onto Jeongguk who immediately leans in towards your face. “One on yours and one on mine. We’ll split whatever money we make and call it a day?”
“Wait a second, two streams? Why would he be on yours?” Seungcheol narrows his eyes at the road in front of him; knuckles tightening around the steering wheel.
He wasn’t even properly in a live cam and now Jeongguk was going to be?
“Oh, I don’t think Seungcheol-hyung would like it very much. Although I will say, my stroke game is preeeeetty good.”
“No, you idiots, not like that!” Seungcheol snorts from the driver’s seat just as you roll your eyes. “On ‘Guk’s channel, we’ll just game. That’s it. Keep it PG, y’know? But on mine… We’ll still game, just… with some added bonuses. I’ve already thought it out, okay? Just trust me. We can do it on Friday night and Saturday night respectively, so we don’t kill our schedules too much.”
The two males nod in return as you turn back around to face forward. “Which, by the way, thank you Jeongguk for agreeing to come and bring the heavy stuff with us. I really appreciate it!”
Jeongguk smiles, although you can’t see it. “Hey, it’s no problem! And anyway, I already might’ve told my viewers that I’d be having a special guest soon so...” He trails off sheepishly; a pale pink blush on his cheeks.
Tumblr media
“Wow, well, I guess if there’s anything we should be thankful for… At least they didn’t take the sybian.”
“Ugh, hyung, it’s probably because they couldn’t tell what it was. And they probably didn’t take a lot of the sex toys because they were probably freaked out.”
Jeongguk’s voice gets quieter and quieter as he exits the apartment that you and Seungcheol were still in.
“What’s the damage, baby?”
You sigh as you sit down on the bed, rummaging through a box of personal items. “It seems like they made more of a mess trying to find anything of worth, to be honest. Most of the things taken were gifts and some of my toys but the ones that were still in their packages. Some of my camera and lighting equipment also got taken…  Same goes for some of the lingerie sets you got me that were still in their packaging… ‘m sorry, ‘Cheol.” You pout up at him as he chuckles.
Seungcheol stands in front of you, tilting your head up to meet his warm eyes. “That’s literally fine. You can always get more of those things anyway.”
He kisses you gently on the forehead; fingertips threaded through your hair. “Hey, if you’re still doing a show on Wednesday, I’ve got an idea.” Seungcheol offers.
“You? Have an idea?” You raise a brow at him, unsure whether or not to believe him. But before either of you can speak, Jeongguk comes back, boots stomping loudly on the hardwood.
“Let’s talk about this another time, when we’re alone.”
Tumblr media
The two of you take the next couple of days in stride as you settle into your new place; whether it was temporarily or permanently for you.
Seungcheol continues his normal work routine and to some degree, you find yourself even more bored without him. For a while, you contemplate getting a part time job, at least to make up some extra money for rent and so that you weren’t always at home alone.
“Hey, I’m back!”
Ah, perfect timing.
You meet Seungcheol at the door, already dressed in one of his shirts. “‘Cheollie~ Welcome home!”
“Have a fun day without me?” He asks, shucking off his jacket and shoes before making his way to the sofa.
“Errr, well, I had some thoughts… and some questions.”
“Okay, shoot.”
You sit across from him, eyes blinking in unsureness as he stares at you. “Well… I was thinking… about maybe getting a part time job? I know we kinda made a lot with the last videos but, it’d help me not be so bored when you’re gone and hey, extra money is always good, right? I can replace all the stuff that got stolen too.” Seungcheol nods in thought, “Maybe you can find a place that’ll give you early shifts so I can just swing by and get you after work. I’d say come work at the roller rink but I don’t think that’d be the smartest idea...”
“I’ll find a place! I was going through the job listings earlier and there were some promising places~” A weight feels lifted from your shoulders as you smile back at Seungcheol; glad that he seemed to be willing to work with you and what you wanted. “Oh and… about the show tonight? What was your idea? We totally forgot about it.”
Seungcheol laughs breathily, running a hand through his hair as he gets up from the sofa to head towards the kitchen.
“Let’s let it be a surprise. C’mon, I wanna try a new recipe from our cookbooks.”
Tumblr media
You set up the cameras as per Seungcheol’s request, checking the viewfinder. “Are you sure about this, ‘Cheol? You don’t have to be on cam with me if you don’t want to…”
Seungcheol chuckles as he tugs his shirt off, leaving his sweats on as he gets onto the bed with you. He checks the viewfinder with you, making sure the angle cuts off right at his collarbones. “I’m sure, and as long as the cameras don’t shift, we should be fine. I wanted to try this.”
The unknown factor scares you a little bit, but you trust Seungcheol enough to know that he knows what he’s doing.
“Now, c’mere.” He gestures to you as you tilt your head at him. “But there’s still, like, 12 minutes until we need to start…”
“Yeah, but we’re doing things my way tonight, right, sweetheart?”
Nodding slowly, you crawl on your knees towards Seungcheol, stopping right in front of him as he leans in to give you a chaste kiss. You smile into it, melting under his touch before he pulls away.
“Turn around for me, baby.”
The mood shifts quickly when he slips into character and you can feel your heart racing in your chest when his arms wrap around your midsection. He tugs you towards himself until your back meets his warm naked chest.
“Daddy just wants to make you feel good, princess. Don’t you want that?”
The warmth blooms inside your chest at Seungcheol’s soft voice, “Mmhmm…”
You check the viewfinder to see half of your face cut off and Seungcheol’s head out of frame. His arms are wrapped firmly around your midsection before his hands start to roam your lingerie-clad body. “My babygirl’s had such a rough week. I think she deserves to be treated like a princess tonight.” You gulp as Seungcheol whispers into your hair; a content sigh on your lips when he cups your breasts in his palms.
“Let me make you feel good, okay?”
You lean your head up against his shoulder as his fingertips continue to roam; letting him take the reins.
He slides your bra straps down your shoulders gently, kissing the skin before he slides the material from you. His hands find their way back to your breasts, squeezing them in his hands as you mewl. “S--Seungcheol…”
His eyes flit to the clock on the wall. “Looks like it’s time, sweetheart.”
Nodding, you lean away from his touch for a second as you click the red button on your laptop screen that indicates you were live. It gives a countdown of three seconds just as you situate yourself back in Seungcheol’s lap.
gentleman_josh95: whoa what
universe_WZ: yo wait
angelhan: ????
kitty_junjun has donated $69
kitty_junjun: for my favorite couple
“H--Hi guys…” You whimper; lips falling into a silent moan when Seungcheol pinches your nipples between his fingers. “I--I, um, a-ah, daddy wanted to s-start early so…”
sleepy_wonu: ….interesting
sleepy_wonu has donated $50
therealchan99: btw u didnt have a show on sat! everything okay?
“Ah, ye---yeah, just, some stuff came u-up, is all. Sorry!” You shoot the camera a sheepish smile, hoping that nobody else presses for more.
Seungcheol notices the way you tense up in his hold as he kisses the crown of your head.
“Daddy’s taking care of it now, isn’t that right, babygirl?” The comments and donations flood the screen as Seungcheol talks; questions of who he was and comments about the previous videos still lingering in your viewers minds as they continue to praise the two of you.
He takes your distraction as an opportunity to ghost his hands down your torso until they flit along the edge of the waistband of your panties.
“Spread your legs a little more, baby. Let them see how wet your panties are getting.”
sleepy_wonu: seems like daddy dom.cheol finally got his hands on you huh lol
sleepy_wonu: somehow i knew you’d make a good pair.
tangerine_kwan: the--------------
hoshi_tiger_xx: wait how r u sure
chwenon: actually.... 🥴🥴🥴
sleepy_wonu: i mean, do u see him in here? Isnt it weird he hasnt donated yet?
alphagyu97: goddamn he rly went from private show to actual fucking?
alphagyu97: … living his best life, i cant even complain
For a second, you want to respond, but you let the comments go on to see what else they had to say before chiming in.
A blush blooms on your cheeks when Seungcheol ghosts his fingers over your panties; hips rising off of the bed when he presses into the growing wet patch on the material. He chuckles lightly as he, too, reads over the comments.
“Guess we’re caught, huh?” You can’t help but giggle at Seungcheol’s lighthearted approach to them finding out; glad that he seemed to be okay with it.
chwenon: bruh he said stroke game on ✨x-games✨
xcaliburDK: wait so r u guys gonna be on cam together regularly now?
artist8hao: damn, shouldve known he was packin
“Erm… we--well, not necessarily! He’ll, maybe, join me for some here and, mmh,  there but… but that’s it for, ah, n-now..”
Seungcheol drags his fingers up and down your folds through your panties as the material starts to stick to you like a second skin. He noticed you’d hit your show minimum where you usually liked to really start your show, moments prior.
“But for today, I thought I’d take it slow with our babygirl. Let her feel nice and good after her long week.” He checks the viewfinder one more time to make sure everything’s okay before he drags his fingers back to the waistband of your panties as he starts to push them down. “Help me get these off of you, sweetheart.”
You replace his hands with yours as you shimmy the soaked material down your legs until you can kick them off.
Spreading your legs, you make sure you’re directly in the camera’s views as Seungcheol brings his fingertips down to your soaking cunt. “Look at her. I’ve only been touching her for a little while and she’s already so fuckin’ wet for me.”
tangerine_kwan: fuck, give her what she wants
artist8hao: sink those fingers into her tight pussy just like what she likes
Seungcheol drags his fingers through your wet folds teasingly slow as you whine. “M-more… daddy…” He hums in response, middle finger on your clit as he rubs slow circles. Your eyes slide close at his gentle touch, body filled with warmth as you rest against him. You even momentarily forget that the two of you were being watched live; if not for the sounds of donations and comments pouring out of your speakers.
“Babygirl, don’t you have an announcement for your viewers?” He grins against your hair just as he runs his fingers through your wetness again; this time, positioning two fingers at your entrance as he slowly sinks them into you.
He starts a slow pace as he pumps them inside of your warm walls, curling and scissoring them as you clench around the digits.
“A-ah, y--yeah, this Friday I--I’m doing a collab stream on--on, ngh, G-Golden Closet Gaming and, fuh--fuck, on Saturday we’ll be doing a collab stream on, hah, my ch--channel!”
xcaliburDK: wait u kno gcg too?
therealchan99: threesome?
angelhan: wow this channel is growing so fast
“N-no, ah, d-daddy wouldn’t like that very m-much but, mmh, it’s---it’s for a good reason! I promise~!” You let out a choked sob just as Seungcheol starts thrusting his fingers faster; heels digging into the sheets as your legs threaten to clamp shut.
“Ah, ah, ah, keep your legs spread, baby. They have to see your pretty ‘lil cunt stretched wide around my fingers.” He kisses your hair once more before he ever so slowly adds a third finger, pumping them into you slowly. Your nails dig into his thighs at the fullness you feel, hips bucking up as you meet his fingers.
“O-oh my god, ‘m suh--so full!” You whimper, eyes clamped shut.
You already feel yourself close to an orgasm as your thighs start to shake. Seungcheol takes notice of the way your pussy gets tighter around his fingers and the way your breath becomes more stuttered as he curls his fingers inside of you.
“Cum for me, sweetheart. Get my fingers nice and wet.” Seungcheol coos.
“D---daddy!”
The donations and comments flood the screen with words of praise as your orgasm washes over you; back bowing away from Seungcheol as your body locks up in his lap. He places the pad of his thumb on your clit as he starts rubbing circles on the swollen nub, laughing lightly when your thighs clamp shut around his arm.
universe_WZ: so fuckin pretty when she cums
alphagyu97: a sweet babygirl getting what she deserves
Small cries fall off your lips as the oversensitivity starts to bite and you bring your hand to Seungcheol’s forearm as you whine and try to push his hand away. “Mmh… ‘m sensitive now…”
He nods gently as he slowly eases his fingers out of your soaking pussy. “Spread your legs.”
You shakily follow his orders as you catch your breath; shaky legs parting for the camera to see. Seungcheol brings his wet fingers to your lips as you start to lick and clean them of your wetness.
kitty_junjun: fuck and she’s such a good girl too
universe_WZ: a good babygirl who knows how to clean up her messes huh
Seungcheol clears his throat, adrenaline rushing through his veins, “I want you to cum one more time for me, baby. Think you can?” You blink sleepily at the camera, foggy eyes already noticing you’d somehow made twice as much in this show despite Seungcheol not being any of the donators.
“I---I think so, daddy…”
He nods, gulping as he slowly starts to move from behind you. “Good, because you’re gonna cum on my tongue for everyone now.”
Arousal pools in you at Seungcheol’s words and you shoot him a panicked look when he gets up from the bed. He smiles at you softly, rounding the bed and entering the camera’s view with the back of his head showing.
“Lean up against the pillows, sweetheart. Let them see your cute face when you’re cumming on daddy’s tongue.”
angelhan: blue hair huh
sleepy_wonu: lol tryna keep tabs so u kno who to look for?
alphagyu97: maybe
therealchan99: yes but no
Seungcheol takes a deep breath before he lays on his stomach between your legs, hands on your thighs as he places them over his shoulders. He’s slightly nervous; if only because he’s worried he might accidentally show his face. But he steels himself, smiling up at you once before he leans in, tongue already flicking at your sensitive clit before you can even properly get situated.
“Oh, f-fuck!” Your hands immediately tangle into Seungcheol’s hair as you throw your head back against the pillows.
This time, he doesn’t start slow; his plump lips around your clit as he sucks hard. “D--Daddy, please!” You whine as you dig your heels into his back and Seungcheol is quick to laugh against your skin. He kisses your clit; smirking when you jolt under his touch.
“What’s wrong, baby? Too much? Do you want me to stop?” He lets you catch your breath as you slowly bring your head down to look at him; bleary eyes focused on his wet lips and twinkling eyes.
“N-no… jus’ wanna c-cum again…’m really close already ‘cause ‘m sensitive...”
Seungcheol hums, leaning in closer as he drags his tongue from your clit to your entrance, slightly dipping his tongue in as you moan above him. He repeats this process a few times, teasing you as you whine and squirm.
xcaliburDK: goddamn her expressions are so cute
chwenon: she rly does look good like this
hoshi_tiger_xx: better than her toys
universe_WZ has donated $100
angelhan has donated $75
hoshi_tiger_xx has donated $50
You get lost in the pleasure, already on the brink of your second orgasm when Seungcheol sucks your clit back into his mouth. He draws you in closer by your thighs when he feels you shaking under his touch; doubling his efforts when he can already feel your body start to lock up.
Seungcheol flattens his tongue against you, dragging his tongue up and down in hard strokes.
“Fuck, daddy, I’m---I’m c-cumming!”
Tears wet your lashes as you cum hard on his tongue; fingertips locked tight in his hair as your hips cant up into his mouth. He lets you do as you please, letting you ride his tongue as you take your pleasure from him.
The sounds of donations and comments pour in from behind Seungcheol’s back and he has an itching feeling that the shows in which he actually appeared were going to be more popular from now on.
Not that he’d complain.
Your soft cries from above pull Seungcheol from his thoughts as he slowly eases his tongue off of you; kissing your sensitive clit one last time as you squirm.
“Nooooo~” You cry, pushing his head away as he laughs.
“It was nice meeting you all~” Seungcheol comments as he slides out of view of the camera. “I’ll let you take it from here, sweetheart.”
You smile tiredly at Seungcheol, wiping the sweat from your brow as you close your shaky legs.
“Thank you, daddy~”
Tumblr media
“Did you still want to get a part time job? I mean… these numbers…”
Muttering, Seungcheol turns off all the lights before he slides under the bedsheets with you, laptop dead-center as the two of you look at the amount of donations you’d made from the single live show.
“Yeah, I think it’d be fun! And anyway, I might’ve already found a place! And with a friend!” You grin at him just as you slam your laptop shut; confusion painted on his features even in the darkness.
“A friend? And where?”
“’Dynamite’! With Jun!”
Seungcheol snorts, flopping into his pillow. “You serious? Why there?”
You snuggle up to his side, resting your head on his arm as you stare up at his side profile. “They’re hiring, Jun would know my schedule the best, and I’d have someone familiar with me.” Pausing, you smirk up at him even if he can’t see it. “And they probably have cute little pastel diner outfits… With a cute ‘lil skirt… And if I bend over enough for you, maybe you’ll see my cute ‘lil panties that are already wet just thinkin’ about you… ‘n maybe you’ll have to take me back to your car and fuck me in your backseat and cum all over my cute outfit.”
Seungcheol nods in though, images of you bent over the hood of his car with your panties pushed to the side as he fucks you in the parking lot; the risk of everyone seeing you making his cock throb in his sweats.
“Hmm... Touché.”

Magdalene stays busy to keep the loneliness at bay.
All of her friends have left Denver, doing whatever it is that hockey players and their partners do in the off-season. She never expected them to stay to keep her company, and would certainly never ask. Besides, they were all so excited to go home and visit family. How could she disrupt their happiness just so she wouldn’t feel so alone? It isn’t her fault that Ryan, Bette, and company aren’t estranged from their families like she is. At twenty-five she should be a little more self sufficient than what she currently is, but Magdalene is working hard at being kinder to herself.
To combat the pervasive loneliness Magdalene spends a lot of time in the heart of downtown Denver. Under normal circumstances she would hate the crowds, but now they comfort her. The swaths of tourists walking the streets and approaching her to take family photos make her feel like a part of something bigger than the pity she finds herself wallowing in often. Barn Owl Books also becomes a frequent retreat when she has downtime, and the owners enjoy when she brings Caligula around. Other patrons adore the white cat and he loves the attention.
One day as she’s leaving work, once again offering to stay late so June doesn’t have to, Magdalene’s phone rings. She contemplates not picking it up, wanting nothing more than to curl into bed with the novel she picked up at Barn Owl the other day, but she knows it must be important. No one ever calls her around this time unless it’s absolutely necessary. Digging the phone out of her pocket, she sees the number of her building superintendent Paul flashing on the screen.
“Hello?”
“Miss Stevenson?” he asks, voice tinged with the toughness that comes with dealing with upset renters on a regular basis.
Magdalene chuckles at the formality, pointing out he hasn’t called her by her last name since she moved in five years ago. “Yeah Paul, it’s me. What’s up?”
There’s the crackle of static on the phone line as the man clears his throat. “So, uh, some bad news.” Magdalene’s stomach twists into an intricate knot. She knows she paid rent on time and can’t think of another reason he’d call her. “A sprinkler main on the floor above yours burst about an hour ago, and it’s pretty bad. Your place definitely got hit the hardest because it’s directly under where the pipe burst. You’re going to have to move out for at least two months while we gut the place and start from scratch. How quickly can you come and get the things that are salvageable from your apartment?”
“Fuck.” This is the worst news Magdalene has ever received. “I can be there in fifteen minutes,” she panics, “But Paul, you’ve gotta go inside and check on my cat. He’s going to be freaking out.”
Paul agrees to visit Caligula after some prodding, and Magdalene drives much faster than she ever has before through the neighbourhood. It’s far from reckless, but she knows that it isn’t the safest course of action. A police officer stops her about three minutes from her final destination but lets Magdalene go after she explains the situation as calmly as possible.
Other tenants affected by the flood are already moving boxes down the stairs when Magdalene pulls up. Everyone is understandably grief stricken, but she can’t find it in herself to console them like she would under normal circumstances. All Magdalene cares about is making sure Caligula is okay. She sprints up the four flights of stairs and doesn’t even break a sweat, adrenaline flooding her veins. Her apartment door is ajar, most likely from Paul entering a few minutes ago, and she flings it open with more force than probably needed. It swings back violently on its hinges and makes a spectacular crash when it hits the wall.
“Caligula?”
“He’s in the bathroom,” Paul sighs. “I can’t get him out of the tub but he’s still breathing. Is he not scared of water?”
Magdalene lets out a breath of relief she didn’t know she was holding in. She treads deeper into the apartment, casually assessing the damage, before reaching the room in question. There, pressed against the far corner of the tub, is the fluffy white cat that Magdalene’s heart beats for most days. Paul is there too, leaning against the sink and shaking his head.
“Thank you,” Magdalene says sincerely. “I’ve got it from here.”
The superintendent exits the unit with a solemn goodbye and heads to the lobby, no doubt going to direct traffic flow and answer questions. It takes a few minutes but Magdalene coaxes the cat out of the tub and into her arms. She holds him tightly and whispers words of praise, knowing it will help to calm them both down. After an uncounted amount of minutes Magdalene moves them into the bedroom, that looks surprisingly intact upon first glance, and changes out of her work clothes and into something more suitable for rummaging around her destroyed home. Caligula climbs up her body and settles gingerly into the hood on her sweatshirt. She starts in the bedroom, and finds that the only thing that’s actually salvageable is the clothes in her closet. Grabbing the suitcase from the top shelf, Magdalene shoves everything inside of it and wheels it into the living room.
She spends the next few hours going through every room in a meticulous manner, desperate to keep relics from her life in Denver. The water did a number on her space and destroyed almost everything. All the furniture is a write-off, and most of her books and records are ruined. Two things that withstood the damage are faux marble busts of Augustus and Marcus Aurelius, which Magdalene packs into one of the boxes Paul dropped off. Everything else fits in three other boxes and they’re tucked into the trunk of her car before the sun sets. Paul insists that the demolition company will get rid of everything else and ensures her she won’t have to pay rent while the construction is going on. It isn’t much of a consultation, considering that Magdalene has no idea where she’ll be staying, but she thanks him anyways as she makes the final trip to her car with Caligula.
Once inside, Magdalene breaks down. She has no idea what to do – no one is in Denver to help her out and she can’t afford to stay in a hotel for however many months this is going to take to fix. Tyson and Bette will be back in just over a month, but Magdalene doesn’t want to bother them or guilt them into coming back early. She cries in the driver’s seat of her car for a while, Caligula on her lap and doing his best to lick up the tears streaming down her cheeks. Not knowing what else to do, she dials Ryan’s number. Though they haven’t been talking as frequently due to the time difference and Magdalene’s insistence he enjoys his time with family, she knows he’ll pick up and listen intently. He’ll also hopefully talk her down from the imaginary ledge she’s found herself on.
He picks up on the second ring. “How’s my favourite girl?” Ryan asks, and Magdalene can hear the smile in his voice. The combination of his voice and the words spoken has her choking on another sob. “Hey, hey, breathe.” Concern is now the primary emotion expressed through the phone line. “Mags, what’s the matter?”
It takes her a few seconds and multiple pads of Caligula’s paws into her stomach for Magdalene to calm down, but she eventually tells Ryan what happened. He listens just as she thought he would, and keeps her breathing steady with his voice. She cries a bit more before running out of tears, but Ryan keeps her focussed on anything but the shitty circumstance she’s found herself victim to – detailing how he skated with Nate earlier in the day and just how many times his teammate kicked his ass. Hearing the mundane story helps more than Magdalene thought it would, and when Ryan asks her where she’s going to stay she responds with a relatively strong voice.
“I’m just going to sleep in my car.”
“Fuck no you aren’t.” The certainty in which Ryan utters the words takes Magdalene by surprise. For someone so far away, he has a lot of opinions on what she should be doing.
She sighs. “There isn’t another option Ry. I can’t afford a hotel for the months my apartment is going to be out of commission and there’s no point in renting another place.”
“Stay with me.”
A series of flabbergasted noises come out of Magdalene’s dropped jaw, but she can’t form any words. Ryan continues, “Think about Caligula. Being cramped in a car isn’t going to be good for him. Or for you. I have an extra bedroom you can call your own for as long as you need. Please Mags.”
Truthfully, it’s the best she’s going to get. Bette and Tyson offered to house a couple of rookies this season, meaning their spare rooms are filled, and there’s no one else she’s close enough with to think about asking. “I don’t want to intrude,” she sighs, but it isn’t a very convincing deflection.
“I want you there,” Ryan insists, “And little boots too.”
It takes them a while to work out the logistics, but Ryan makes a couple of calls and lets the doorman of his building know Magdalene is moving in. He also books a flight for the next day, and ensures her that he’s more than ready to come back to Colorado. They talk for a few more minutes, and in that time she gets directions to her temporary home. Once Ryan hangs up with well wishes and a see-you-soon, Magdalene looks in her rear-view mirror and sets out for a part of Denver she never thought she’d live in.
☼☼☼☼
When Magdalene calls Bette to fill her in on what’s been going on while on the way to pick Ryan up from the airport, the blonde is taken aback by the surplus of information. “Hold on,” she breathes, “Ryan’s coming back to Denver?”
“What part of ‘I’m on my way to the airport to pick up Ryan’ was confusing?” Magdalene laughs.
Her friend doesn’t find the jest funny. “Fuck off.” The comment only increases Magdalene’s laughter, but Bette forges on with the conversation. “Can you recap the events that led to Ryan leaving home nearly three weeks early?”
Magdalene indulges her friend, explaining for what feels like the hundredth time that her apartment was destroyed in a flood and that Ryan offered her his spare bedroom and that he was coming home so she wouldn’t be alone in the unfamiliar environment. Bette listens in silence, and Magdalene imagines she has a shit-eating grin plastered on her face. She’s made quite a few comments about how friendly the two of them seem, but Magdalene does her best to shrug them off. Ryan can just be her friend, a great one even, without Bette projecting her need to have her best friend to have an identical lifestyle to her. Even if she’s right, and Magdalene does want there to be something more between her and Ryan.
“Hold the phone.” Magdalene hears Tyson shout, no doubt getting closer to his girlfriend so he can join in on the conversation. “Gravy’s letting you stay at his place?”
“Yeah…” she trails off, unsure about what wasn’t clear this time.
Tyson hums as though he’s an old-school anthropologist who just made an astute observation about the group they’re studying. “Interesting.”
“How so?”
“Well for starters, he barely lets us hang out at his place,” Tyson explains. “I think I’ve been there maybe twice. So that’s new. Is Caligula staying with you?”
Magdalene is completely confused. “Why wouldn’t he be? He’s my cat.”
“How does Gravy feel about it?”
“What the fuck are you getting at Tys?” Magdalene asks, but there’s a bite to the question. She’s tired of the impromptu interrogation he’s providing. “Because Ryan was excited to have him around. Last night I sent him a video of little boots prancing around the condo like he owned the place and he thought it was hilarious.”
Bette, who had been silent for several minutes, gasps loudly. Tyson laughs, but Magdalene can tell it’s riddled with disbelief. “Mags,” he says gently, though with more than enough teasing laced in, “Gravy isn’t a big pet guy.”
The comment hits Magdalene like a tonne of bricks. What is she supposed to do with that information? There’s only ten more minutes until she gets to the airport, and she needs time to push Tyson’s comment to the back of her brain and collect herself. Magdalene gives a rushed farewell before hanging up the phone and checking her rearview mirror and blindspots. The radio filters back through the car speakers, but she doesn’t hear it, too caught up in what Ryan allowing Caligula to share his space means. There’s little traffic on the off-ramp and before she knows it Magdalene is pulling into a parking space and killing the engine.
She grabs the messily scribbled welcome home banner from the back seat before locking the doors and heading inside to the arrivals section. The inside of the airport looks similar to the empty parking lot – it’s a Tuesday after all. Only a few others wait with her for the plane, and many chat idly amongst themselves. Magdalene stays off to the side in an attempt to not get sucked into a conversation about the upcoming thunderstorm. Passengers slowly trickle through the open door, and Ryan is easy to spot. He towers above everyone and is carrying a rather large bag of hockey equipment. Magdalene smiles at the sight of him, unable to help herself. It’s been nearly a month and a half since she’s seen him and being apart for that long is something she never wants to do again.
“Hi,” she breathes as he approaches, waving awkwardly while she speaks. It’s as though she hasn’t spent countless hours talking with him about every possible topic her mind could dream up.
Ryan doesn’t feel the tension, or if he does he doesn’t say anything. Instead, he wraps her in a tight hug that lasts a touch longer than one with just a friend should, especially in public. Magdalene tries hard not to melt into his side but it’s nearly impossible – Ryan has a magnetic pull that tugs on her heartstrings and makes her insides feel fuzzy. Others bustling around the terminal start to give them strange looks, and it’s only then that Ryan clears his throat and untangles his arms from Magdalene’s waist.
He smiles down at the strong-willed brunette with kind eyes and shoulders his bag once more. “Let’s go home.”
☼☼☼☼
It takes a few days to settle into a routine, but once they do it’s glorious. Training camp doesn’t start for another three weeks, so Ryan spends his day doing light workouts and chilling with Caligula while Magdalene is at work. Once she gets home they make dinner and watch West Wing reruns on the cable network Ryan didn’t know he was even paying for. Their lives fit together seamlessly and it surprises Magdalene just how much she missed having a roommate – Bette moved out after their sophomore year of college, and it’s been just her and Caligula ever since. Though the personal space is nice, she likes being able to hear Ryan laugh at the meme she just sent or knocking on his door in the middle of night to ask if he wants ice cream.
Magdalene wakes up one Saturday to complete silence. It’s unsettling considering she hasn’t heard that since adopting her pet – Caligula sleeps next to her head and breathes loud enough that she’ll never have to buy a white noise machine. She notices her door is slightly ajar and hears soft noises coming from the living room. Ryan must be taking a day off, Magdalene notes, because he’s typically out of the house by seven and it’s currently five minutes past eight. She rolls out of bed and stumbles into the ensuite, brushing the tangles out of her hair and washing her face.
Not bothering to change out the pyjama pants and hoodie she stole from Ryan, Magdalene pads into the sunlit living room to see her roommate doing yoga. On a tiny mat beside him is Caligula, stretching his limbs like he’s following along with the tutorial. The sight is adorable, and before she can think twice about it Magdalene is snapping a photo of the two of them and posting it to her Instagram story.
“You trying to whip my cat into shape Graves?” Magdalene teases, weaving around them and plopping onto the couch, bringing her knees to her chin and holding in a yawn.
Ryan laughs, loud and care-free, and Magdalene wishes he could record the sound and play it on loop. “He kept trying to sit underneath me and I didn’t want to hurt him. I read somewhere that if you give a cat something similar to what you’re doing they’ll leave you alone. Guess it really works.”
Her heart constricts in the best way possible. Ryan continues to go above and beyond to make her and Caligula welcome and doesn’t seem to mind they’re the ones invading his space and not the other way around. There’s still twenty minutes left on the YouTube video he’s watching, so Magdalene pushes herself off the expensive leather sectional and into the kitchen. The least she could do is make breakfast. Deciding on pancakes, Magdalene gets to work prepping the batter and warming up the frying pan. She hums absentmindedly to the Joni Mitchell song playing on the small radio she placed in the kitchen window. Music always made cooking more enjoyable for her, and Ryan doesn’t seem to mind the device taking up space.
The island is set and the food ready by the time Ryan slides into his seat, small beads of sweat lingering on his forehead from the workout. Magdalene resists the urge to wipe them away and instead busies herself with placing the right amount of berries on his plate.
“Mags,” Ryan calls softly, pulling her out of her mind and back down to Earth. “That’s more than enough. Sit down and eat before it gets cold.”
They eat in silence until Caligula appears, meowing for whatever scraps he can get his hands on. Against Magdalene’s pleas Ryan feeds him a blueberry. The cat sniffs it inquisitively before swallowing it, though it comes up again a few moments later.
“You’re cleaning that one up bud,” she laughs, bending down to make sure Caligula is okay before rinsing her plate in the sink.
“Fuck.”
Ryan does as he’s told and helps Magdalene with the dishes before getting ready to head out for an unofficial team meeting. Camp starts in a few days and Gabe wants to get together and make sure they’re all on the same page before barreling head-first into the season. He promises to pick them up a late lunch of sandwiches from Barn Owl and Magdalene follows him to the door to say goodbye. It feels natural, like they’ve always shared this routine, and she knows that Ryan feels it too because he wraps her in a tight hug before petting Caligula one last time and slipping out the door.
Bette calls soon after he leaves and grills Magdalene on all the details of her new living arrangement. She’s still in Canada, spending a few more days there than Tyson to help his mom and sister finish unpacking their things at the house they recently purchased.
“So, have you kissed him yet?”
The question is asked in such a casual, Bette-like manner that Magdalene barely chokes on her water. “Bee, what the fuck?”
“Oh come off it Mags,” she sighs, “You like him. He likes you. The two of you live together now. It’s only a matter of time before the friendship turns into something more.”
The blonde is right about at least one thing – Magdalene has developed a steady crush on Ryan. She should have known being in such close proximity to him all the time would put her feelings into overdrive. However, she didn’t have another option other than to accept his offer when it was proposed nearly a month ago, so Magdalene is now being forced to deal with the repercussions.
“I have, in fact, not kissed Ryan,” Magdalene huffs. “But I’ve thought about it once or twice.”
A squeal tears from Bette’s throat and she forces her friend to share the details. Magdalene obliges mostly to get her off her back, but it does feel good to talk about it with someone. It’s a very long time since she’s had romantic feelings for anyone, and Magdalene is nearly giddy with excitement over the possibility of new-found love by the time Ryan gets home. She says farewell to Bette and promises to come over as soon as they're both in the same city again.
It’s later than both of them expected, so they decide to forgo lunch and instead cook an early dinner. Ryan wants chicken and Magdalene wants spaghetti, so naturally they compromise on a carbonara without the pork. The radio is cranked to the highest volume as they work, both singing along and in their own little worlds. Magdalene is in charge of cooking the pasta and Ryan sets about making the sauce, and more than once she catches him looking at her while he’s supposed to be stirring the mixture. She can’t be too mad, however, because each time their eyes meet she’s supposed to be doing her job too. Before too much time has passed the meal is ready. It cools on two plates while Caligula is fed and wine is poured – the former done by Magdalene because the cat still isn’t quite comfortable enough with Ryan. Once sitting, they raise their glasses in a silent toast and dig in. The pasta tastes heavenly, and Magdalene makes sure to say so.
“Oh my god this is delicious,” she nearly moans, “You have to make this like every night.”
Ryan laughs and raises his fingers in mock salute. “You got it boss.”
Conversation flows into how they spent their hours apart – Ryan gushing about how good it was to see his teammates again and Magdalene talking about how she caught up with Bette on the phone. She of course left out the part where she confessed feelings for her best friend to her other, more senior best friend. Dinner passes in the blink of an eye and soon the two of them are standing side by side at the sink, elbows knocking occasionally as they do the dishes.
“Want to watch a movie tonight?” Ryan asks nonchalantly. “You said earlier this week you wanted to see Clueless again.”
Magdalene smiles – of course he would remember this offhand comment she made a few days ago about the classic. “That sounds fantastic. Can you finish putting these away? I’m going to pop a couple blankets in the dryer to warm up and see if I can get a nice picture of the sunset for Bette, she mentioned on the phone that she’s missing it.”
“She literally hasn’t changed time zones!”
Laughter tumbles from Magdalene’s lips as she slips out of the kitchen. Two fluffy blankets are pulled from the back of the couch on her way down the hall and tossed into the machine. Grabbing the same sweater of Ryan’s she was wearing earlier in the day from the foot of her bed, Magdalene heads for the balcony door and slips through the glass.
The city is nearly silent. Cars pass under Ryan’s balcony like blips in the night, but they don’t dare touch the peaceful atmosphere radiating from Magdalene. She’s had one of the best nights of her life, just her and Ryan laughing over glasses of wine and the pasta dish they cooked together. It’s all so domestic and charged with stolen glances and soft smiles that Magdalene knows it’s more than two friends living together for a short period of time. There’s been a fundamental shift in their relationship but she doesn’t know how to address it, or if she even wants to despite her looming attraction. Being with Ryan is so easy that she forgets it’s only temporary. Realistically she knows it can’t last forever, but she finds herself hoping each day Paul will call and tell her the rebuild is taking longer than expected.
Ryan calls her inside, informing her the blankets are out of the dryer and the movie she picked out days ago is queued up on the television. Magdalene takes a deep breath and finishes her glass of wine in one gulp. Hopefully he won’t notice when she casually leans in and rests her head on his shoulder halfway through the film.

Double Heart | Chapter Twenty-Two ~ Cosima
|previous part|
Pairing: Haldir x OFC
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 3549
Warnings: None
A/n Thanks for your patience, and happy reading :)
Our first day of traveling is rough.
In my months of comfort in Imladris, I easily forgot the vigor with which galloping on a horse shakes you. By the time we stop for the night, every muscle and bone in my body is screaming for rest. And, despite Haldir’s assurance that I will get used to the weight and awkwardness of the metal that is somehow both cold and hot, the chainmail has grated on my nerves all day.
Haldir helps me down from Faervel and I wince when my feet make contact with the ground.
“Walk around for a while,” he advises, then nods towards Glorfindel. “I’ll return later — I’m going to coordinate watches and take the first shift.”
“Okay.” I smile up at him, waiting for a kiss goodbye, but he just nods once and then turns, off to get to work.
I purse my lips. I guess he’s sore from riding, too.
Trying to push the uneasiness from my mind, I spend just a few moments walking and stretching before I turn to my own tasks. I’m in charge of Faervel and two of Glorfindel’s horses, so caring for them will occupy me until supper.
{***}
When Baranor calls for dinner, I hurry to our campsite. We are close enough to Elrond’s borders that Haldir and Glorfindel feel we can light a small fire and, while nothing on the road could compare to the delicacies served at Elrond’s table, a meal cooked with fire is much better than stale bread and soggy fruit. I sit on a rock near the flames, accepting the bowl Baranor places in my hands. Alex, Glorfindel, and one of the extra guards, Nodron, join us.
After a few minutes of eating in tired silence, I hear footsteps behind me, and turn with a smile to welcome Haldir from watch. He nods at me and accepts the bowl handed to him. He sits next to me on the rock — that’s normal — but keeps distance between us and barely spares a glance in my direction. Instead, he alternates between talking strategy with Glorfindel and Nodron and scanning our surroundings. I huff, eating my soup in silence. This earns me a brief raised eyebrow, but his focus soon returns to the mountains and his conversations.
What is going on with him? Did I upset him somehow? Is he grouchy from the day of traveling?
With my food finished and no one talking to me, I have no reason to stay gathered by the fire. I stand and take my bowl to the stream, wash it out, and then return it to the bag holding our cooking supplies.
“I’m going to bed unless anyone needs anything,” I declare, picking my bag up from the ground. I’m met with shrugs and murmurs, but nothing more.
With a huff, I throw my bedroll on the ground, spread it out, and take my hair out of its braid. I roll onto my back, frowning when I notice that the stars are covered by clouds. The chainmail digs into my skin, and I shift uncomfortably. I sit up and take a cursory look around. No one can see me. How would they know?
Quickly, I stand and pull off my tunic, then tug the chainmail after it. As soon as the biting, cold metal is gone, I put my tunic back on, eager for its warmth. Already, I feel better.
“Put it back on.”
I yelp, the metal falling to the ground with a tinny clink. I whip around to face Haldir, who has appeared out of nowhere. “Where did you come from?”
My eyes have yet to adjust to the night, so I can’t read his expression, but I do see when he shrugs his shoulders. “You said you were going to bed, no? So, I followed.”
I narrow my eyes, deciding to just get to the point. “I’m not sleeping in the chainmail. It’s uncomfortable, and I don’t sleep well on the road as it is.”
“You are sleeping in the chainmail,” he counters, no room for flexibility in his voice. He bends over to lay his own bedroll a few feet from mine. Huh. Does he not want to sleep closer to me? “We could be attacked at any moment, including during the night.”
I shift on my feet, glancing warily at the peaks and valleys that surround us.
Haldir huffs, looking up at me from the ground. I’ve adjusted to the limited light and can now see the exasperated look he gives me. “I do not want to frighten you, but I do want you to be realistic. Should we be attacked, the chainmail could safe your life, so you will wear it. We are not having this discussion again.”
I set my hands on my hips and grit my teeth. So he ignores me all day and now he’s talking to me like I’m one of his wardens? Oh, no. I tilt my head to the side, staring him down. “Have you ever heard of a compromise? Do you even know what the word means?”
He stands, his towering height and stern expression creating quite an intimidating presence. But unfortunately for him, he’s kissed me softly, cuddled closer to me in the middle of the night, and told me how much he loves me. It’s kind of hard to be intimidated by someone after that.
He sets his feet. “This is not a question of compromise, it is a question of safety. I—”
“—It is a question of compromise, actually.” I cut him off. “I agreed—begrudgingly, might I add—to wear the uncomfortable, heavy chainmail for this journey. I’m only doing it for you. So that means you have to meet me in the middle and give a little. If we’re attacked, I promise I’ll put it back on. There. Compromise.”
He only raises an eyebrow. “So you are telling me that, should orcs rain arrows upon us, chaos erupt, and a legion of warriors come at us with sword and spear, you are going to take the time to undress, put the armor on, redress, and then attempt to save your life?”
Well. He’s got me there. I sniff, not ready to let him win this. “Yes.”
He doesn’t move. “Then by all means, when you study strategy for over three thousand years, fight in countless battles, and lead the most formidable military force in the realm, you can make that choice. But for now, you are a fragile, stubborn, human woman that, despite her ability to make me want to pull my hair out, I love very, very much. So you will wear the chainmail at all times.” Without breaking eye contact, he bends down, scoops the metal up, and pushes it into my hands.
I grit my teeth.
With a huff, I tug my tunic off once more. I feel a deep satisfaction when I finally make him break his stoic demeanor. He watches for a fraction of a second before nearly hurting his neck snapping his head to the sky so quickly. I smirk, pulling the chainmail over my body once more, then adding the tunic.
“You can look now.”
He clears his throat and lowers his eyes to mine, nodding once. “Thank you.”
I roll my eyes. “I didn’t do it for your gratitude, Marchwarden.”
He shakes his head and lies down on his bedroll. I sit on mine, gathering my cloak over me like a blanket before lying back.
Neither of us speaks.
After a few minutes, soft noises arise in the vicinity as those not on watch make their way to their own bedrolls. Footsteps crush the grass near my head and something heavy and warm drops over me. I raise up on my elbow, opening my eyes to the tall, grinning figure of Glorfindel.
“Here you go, dear Lady Cosima,” he declares in a near sing-song voice. “I have brought you an extra blanket. It seems you are in the path of a cold front, and I would not want you to suffer for it.”
I turn to look over my shoulder at Haldir, biting my lip to stop the laughter escaping at his glower. Glorfindel’s meaning is lost on no one.
I turn back to my friend and thank him.
“It is no problem,” he waves it off, still grinning from ear to ear. “Though, if you continue to find yourself in this uncomfortable position, my bedroll is nearer to the fire.”
I raise an eyebrow. “You would switch with me?”
“No.” He winks, making sure both Haldir and I can see it. “I would allow you to join me.”
My mouth falls open, my shocked laugher sounding through the clearing. I grin, playing along. “I shall keep that in mind.”
With a final, pointed look at Haldir, Glorfindel returns to his own bedroll.
I pull the new blanket over my shoulders, snuggling into it. It smells like the outdoors, and I breathe it in. The exhaustion of the day hits me. “Goodnight Haldir, I love you,” I call, not bothering to turn around.
His annoyed grumble is the last thing I hear before sinking into sleep.
{***}
The sun rises and brings wth it a cool chill, hinting at the autumn to come. I change into fresh clothes and brush my teeth quickly, re-braiding my hair as I go. With as many of us as there are, it doesn’t take long to tack up the horses, pack the bags, dole out breakfast, and get on our way.
Haldir smiles when I meet him at Faervel’s side. He reaches for me and I think he’s about to pull me in for a hug and make up for our disagreement last night, but instead of encircling me, his hands pat at my sides — he’s feeling for the chainmail!
I gasp, pulling away from him and glare at him in accusation. “You don’t trust me!”
He only smirks haughtily and drops to one knee, waiting to help me onto the horse. “Just checking. Now please get on the horse, Cosima, we haven’t got all day.”
I grumble and press my foot into his hands with more force than is strictly necessary. He chuckles and swings me up, settling in front of me a moment later. He nudges Faervel to encourage him to move forward, quickly guiding us nearer to the front of the line. While Glorfindel is here, he and one of his guards take point. Faervel seems dissatisfied with this, and Haldir frequently has to to tug on the reins to remind him to keep his place in line.
Behind me, I hear the familiar sound of Roch’s whinny, and I turn around in greeting. Rumil and I lock eyes. I smile. He clenches his jaw and lifts his chin in the air, avoiding my gaze. I sigh sadly and turn to face forward once more. I guess I deserve that.
Haldir shifts and a warm, calloused hand encases mine against his stomach. When he speaks, it’s in a voice so low I can barely hear it — probably to keep the others from listening in. “It won’t be like this forever.”
But I don’t have forever. And neither do you.
I bite the words back before they can escape my lips. It’s something Haldir and I both already know. Saying it out loud won’t do us any good. “Has he spoken to you?”
Haldir shakes his head, eyes continuing their scan of our surroundings. “Not yet, outside of what is necessary. But he will, I’m sure of it.”
The hope for a future reconciliation will have to be enough. With a sigh, I lean my cheek against Haldir’s shoulder blade, Faervel’s trot jostling me from side to side. We haven’t even been on the road an hour and I’m already longing for my bedroll.
“Did you really not sleep well,” Haldir asks, a hint of guilt in his voice.
I decide to let him off the hook. He really is only trying to keep me safe. “Yes, but it’s not the chainmail’s fault. It’s just getting used to the ground, and I was cold, and being on the road again…well, you know.” I sigh again, stopping my words. He can fill in the rest of my sentence. He knows well that, though I feel better traveling in a larger company and with some self-defense training behind me, being in the orcs’ territory still makes me nervous since the attack.
Haldir doesn’t say anything for a while, just nods absently while his eyes scan over the ridges to our left and right. “Can I join you tonight after watch?”
I blink. “Of course.” Then, I psych myself up, hoping I don’t sound too unsure or hurt. But I have to ask — it’s been bothering me since yesterday. “Why didn’t you last night?”
Haldir makes a noise of apology. “I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. Our nights together have been in the privacy of your bedroom. I didn’t want to put you in a position where you would be close to me while surrounded by others.”
I breathe out a shaky laugh, glad that’s all it is. “That doesn’t bother me! I just worried that you didn’t want to be seen with me so publicly.” I take another deep breath, forcing myself to get the words out. “You’ve pretty much ignored me since we left Imladris.”
His shoulders tense. Then, he twists in his seat just enough that we can look each other in the eye. “I’m sorry, it was not my intention to treat you that way. It’s just—” he sighs, shaking his head. “I can afford to relax in Imladris and will be able to once we get to Lothlórien, but the road is completely different. Say I were to kiss you or hold your hand, and become distracted. In that one moment, I could miss something, and that could cost the life of someone here. I can’t risk that.”
I nod, the pieces coming together. “I can understand that.” I raise up, just high enough to press a kiss to his cheek. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
{***}
Haldir takes the second watch shift, so I fall asleep on my own. But late in the night, I’m awoken by warm arms encircling me and pulling me against a solid chest.
I smile, snuggling into the warmth. “Hi.”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” he whispers, mindful of our companions.
“It’s alright.” I match his volume. “How was watch?”
He pushes a strand of hair over my shoulder and smooths it down my back. “Quiet.”
I hum in response, already slipping back into sleep.
He presses a tender kiss to my forehead. “Goodnight, melethril.”
{***}
An hour into our journey the next morning, dark clouds form ahead.
Haldir curses under his breath.
I rest my chin against his back, trying to use him to block the wind. “That doesn’t look fun.”
“No, it does not,” he agrees, voice grave.
The wind blows again, and I shiver.
“Not minding the layer of armor now, are you,” he teases, tilting this head slightly so I can see the upturn of his cheek.
I roll my eyes, not about to admit that I’m thankful for the extra layer. “Eyes on the path, Marchwarden.”
He leans to the side and hands me the reins. “Here.” Before I can register what he’s doing, he’s gripped Faervel’s mane and swung from the front of the horse to the back.
“What—” I sputter, whipping my head around to stare at him in disbelief. “How did you do that?”
“Practice.” He shrugs like it’s nothing, but his chest puffs out proudly.
I shake my head, still trying to figure it out. But all thoughts die when he shifts, pressing himself against my back. He takes his cloak and arranges it to fall over my shoulders and cross at my front, providing another layer of warmth. He takes the reins from me and holds them in front, his arms resting against my sides.
I lean back against his chest. “I’m not gonna lie, I like this way of riding much better.”
He makes a noise of appreciation. “I thought you might.” He presses a quick kiss to my cheek then returns to all-business.
I purse my lips. I never really considered how frustrating it would be to be in the constant company of others for three weeks straight. Because right now, I want to turn around and kiss him until neither of us can breathe, but I can’t.
But the thoughts of what else I’d like to do to him wash away with the torrent of rain that falls on us. I gasp loudly, streams of cold water pelting my face. The cloak Haldir had made for me is helping — I’m not soaked through like last time, but the rain is quite persistent. I look over my shoulder, seeking out Alex. He slouches on the back o Baranor’s horse, hunched against the wind and the cold.
I turn my head to face forward, calling loud enough that I hope Haldir can hear me over the thunderous rain. “Is it warmer in Lothlórien?”
His chest twitches against my back as he shifts to accommodate Faervel’s changed gait. “It rarely gets cold enough for snow, but we do see the odd storm like this, and that can really drop the temperature.”
“Wonderful,” I grumble, and shrink against him in hopes of warming up. Cold water follows the tendrils of my hair and slides down my back, over my chest, under my legs. It’s so uncomfortable. But the only thing to do is press on.
{***}
We stop for the night in the same cave we rested in on the way to Imladris. Glorfindel orders a fire to be started immediately, and his guards get to work. Minutes later, Haldir leads my shivering form deep into the cave and stops me next to the flames.
“I hate the cold,” I grumble, reaching my hands as close to the fire as I dare.
“Agreed,” Haldir murmurs, peeling the cloak from my body and lying it on the ground where it can dry. A second later, he hands me a pair of my least-wet clothes. The ellyn in the cave respectfully turn their backs while I change, but I know I’ve seen most of them naked by now, so they’ve probably seen me as well.
Ah, the joys of traveling.
Alex collapses on the other side of the fire, giving me a haggard nod. “Doing okay?”
I grin tiredly back at him. “About the same as you.”
He chuckles ruefully, shaking his head.
Haldir throws a blanket over my shoulders and tosses one to Alex. They were encased in a material similar to my cloak, so they’re mostly dry. “I will return shortly. Do not move,” he cautions, standing and leaving my side.
Alex and I warm up in silence, each of us too occupied by our discomfort. After a while, I turn to speak to him, but he has fallen asleep, snoring softly against his bedroll.
Minutes later, Haldir reappears with dinner, cooked on the larger fire near the front of the cave. It seems this one is only meant for the freezing humans.
“How are you,” he asks, tugging the blanket tighter around me.
I chuckle at his obvious worry. “Much better, thank you. And thanks for dinner.”
Haldir grimaces. “Thank Glorfindel. Though, proceed with caution, he is not an excellent cook.”
Warily, I take a bite of whatever dinner is, then scrunch up my face at the oddly sour taste. “No, he is not.”
Haldir laughs, settling himself behind me and pulling my back against his chest. “Regardless, I still recommend you eat.”
The empty feeling in my stomach concurs. We sit in silence, warming up and eating.
Haldir picks up one of my strands of hair so it catches the light of the fire. “It’s so wavy when it’s wet.”
I snort. “And it’s going to be frizzy when it dries. How do you get your hair to look so nice all the time?”
He grins, jokingly tossing his hair into my face. “Genetics, my love.”
At this, I laugh loudly, then clamp a hand over my mouth at Alex’s sleepy noise of annoyance. Haldir and I don’t move until Alex turns over and his snores echo through the cave once more.
Despite my efforts, a yawn escapes, betraying the cold exhaustion already weighing heavily in my bones. I push my bowl into Haldir’s hands. “You can finish my food. I’m more tired than hungry.”
Haldir places the bowl on the ground. “No thank you, I’ve already had more than enough of Glorfindel’s cooking.”
I grin, not blaming him one bit. I stretch out and, getting the hint, Haldir shifts to give me enough room to recline on my bedroll. To my pleasant surprise, he doesn’t rise to join the others. Instead, he lies down next to me and allows me to press my face into his chest, sandwiched between him and the warmth of the fire.
I glance up at him, forcing my eyes to stay open. “You don’t have watch tonight?”
“Not tonight,” he promises, pressing a kiss to my forehead. “Sleep well.”

Fic Summary:
Oliver and Jon meet in their dreams first, then later in a café. A friendship is formed and some things change while others stay the same. -- Or how Jon gets to know Oliver before the end of the world
Chapter 1 start: A Meeting with Nobody Present. [word count 2174]
Tumblr media
[art by @makeroomforthejolyghost]
A ship on open water greeted Jon as the dream shifted. He stood on the deck, taking it all in, trying to recall, all the while, he Knew it was a statement given.
A stranger looked Jon in the eyes, and lacked the fear that should have been. “Well, this is new.” Roots crawled at the edges of their vision as he spoke. “I never thought I’d be back here again. Normally my dreams start in my room.” Statement #0151403 came to Jon’s mind, and the Eye provided that Antonio Blake was False. He is Oliver Banks and this was his statement.
Jon couldn’t speak. He wanted to. But he wasn’t even sure if he had a mouth here, and if he did, he’d forgotten how to use it. How long had it been since he’d done more than watch?
“Not the most talkative, are you? I mean, our first interaction you didn’t have much of a choice I suppose, but now?” Oliver relaxed against the railing, not bothering to look at the water below. “Are you even aware or just?”
Jon found he could nod.
“Oh, Okay. So you are able to communicate. Yes or no questions I suppose. Does asking you questions bother you?”
Jon shook his head no.
Oliver paused in return, but nodded to make sure Jon knew he understood the response. “Huh, you know, I don’t actually have much to talk about? No idea how to do small talk, never been good at it. So um. I suppose it's more your thing to have all the questions.”
Jon nodded again. Feeling less trapped in his body and more just annoyed he’d forgotten how speaking worked. He understood how vocal cords needed to vibrate with the airflow and how the muscles of the mouth flexed to create sound. Like just understanding wasn’t enough for Jon to actively force his body to participate.
“I’m still in London. Will be for a while.”
Jon seemed to perk up from his thoughts. Had Oliver been saying more?
“You could ask your questions once you’ve got a little more space from the Eye. Can you Know when I’m free, or-?” Oliver paused to give time for Jon to respond. Some of Jon’s eyes seemed to look focused? Hard to tell if that was a Jon’s thinking glance or if Jon was distracted.
Then Jon gave a slow nod.
“Lovely. If you don’t just show up in the next few days, I’ll just sleep again, ‘bout this time and we could figure something out? I know this sweet little coffee shop not too far from the institute. I could probably swing by there a few times this week.”
---
Jon watched the smoke rise to join the colors of the sunrise. Melanie was in a bad mood, and Basira was out. Smoking was the best thing he could think to do with his time, so he took to the alley.
There was a lingering nag at the back of his mind that he shouldn’t have picked up smoking again. The Eye had provided him with a steady stream of facts when he picked up his first after returning. How much damage had been done to him from the years of habit. How his body was no longer addicted to nicotine. How him reaching for a pack was entirely habitual at this point.
“Christ I can’t even enjoy this…” Jon took in a deep breath of the smoky air.
It wasn’t long like that till The Brigade started to congregate by him. Within the minute, four of its outstanding members were in petting distance, with the largest rubbing against his leg. Jon could already hear them purring.
“That time already? I suppose you’re here to rob me blind.” Jon let out a laugh as he pulled a little baggy from his satchel. He knew the drill much as they did.
All four of the alley cats were upon him, an onslaught of chirps and meows demanding the contents. The one with the shortest tail pawed at Jon, aiming her claws at the bag as Jon bent down. He poured the contents out on the ground for them, making sure to aim for the spot that was the cleanest.
“You cleaned me out of the kibbles I had in the archives, so I hope you enjoy the leftover chicken.” He ran his hand through the fur of the only one that tolerated pets. The other three weren’t okay unless it was on their terms.
Once they cleaned up the chicken, the smallest of the four started to aim for Jon’s jacket pocket, trying to get his face in to search for more.
“Sorry sir. I don’t have infinite bags of chicken. I’ll need to run to the store tonight to get you lot some more.” Jon figured they could understand him, but he had a very good idea of what they wanted. He remained slightly unsure if it was something he knew, or if he Knew it. He kind of assumed that it was the first. Cats weren’t so hard to read after getting to know them.
Two of them ran off once Jon proved he didn’t have any more food for them, but the smallest and the largest remained a little longer. The larger one demanded pets, while the smaller remained near. They purred like a motor, watching Jon contently.
They remained that way till Jon’s cigarette burned down to the butt and he put it out on the institute’s brick work. As he did, he got a flash of Oliver entering a coffee shop down the block.
Jon was still technically on the clock. Just a short smoke and cat break, and he could feel the statements behind him. Not like he could get fired if he took an extended break.
Jon was off to get some coffee.
---
“Thank you for the invite? I, ah, I don’t normally get coffee with someone after I start haunting their nightmares.” Jon stirred his coffee, the cream trailing behind the spoon.
Oliver sat, leg crossed over the other while he waited. “Good news for you, you don’t need to change that record. It’s not exactly nightmares. Just Dreams. Pretty pleasant all things considered.”
“But I’m making you relive something as horrible as your death, how is that pleasant?”
“Hmm, well I don’t exactly consider the ordeal unpleasant. Just is what it is. I welcomed it, and the dreams are just a reminder of my choice while you feed the Eye. That is what you do there? Observe the fear?”
“Yes. I- fe-” The swirling got a little faster, even if it wasn’t needed anymore. “Yes. It’s the fear.”
“Well, do I seem scared?”
“No. It’s- there's nothing for me to Watch. Reacting to you is more- It’s the first time I’m able to do anything other than that.”
Oliver nodded, sipping his tea to give Jon a moment to find the words.
The pause was all Jon needed ‘til it looked like something clicked. “There isn’t anything for Beholding to feed on, so it’s hold on me is looser? So I’m able to be more there.”
“That’s sort of what I was thinking. Either that or maybe it’s frightened, at least as much as the entities can be frightened? Maybe it’s even the End that’s getting something from the dreams.”
“Interesting. I wonder if- This is entirely up to you and you can say no, but would you be willing to help me out a bit? Experiment, or show me the ropes when it comes to autonomy in dreams. You normally walk them freely, right? You’d mentioned in the statement-”
“I believe I might have. Easy to tell it all. I don’t mind, not sure how much I could help you with it, if at all. Different situations. But it’s kind of nice to dream of Point Nemo again. So a good exchange.” Oliver, despite the coffee, still looked tired. “It’ll be a nice break for both of us I think. We could also meet up more often like this as well. If you ever wanted company.”
“I think I’d like that.” They both spent the rest of the time in the cafe talking about various non-fear related topics.
---
The jangle of keys before the click of the lock were all it took to signify Oliver’s return to his flat. A scurry of claws on hard wood chased to the door.
“Sue, I hear you there. Back up. Come on now.” The nose that had pushed through the opening door withdrew, followed by the sound of scuffling of claws.
“That’a girl.” Closing the door behind him, a large german shepherd sat patiently, tail doing all the talking while she waited. “Alright, good girl.”
A small pat on his leg was all the signal needed for the lady of the house to be at Oliver’s side, nose under his hand.
Oliver scratched behind her ear, squatting to her level. “Been keeping a good eye on the place while I was out? I’m sure you have.”
Sue wagged her tail, eyes showing an intelligence that she didn’t have a clue of what he said, but that she understood the positive undertones.
“Bet you’re ready for it to be your turn for a break.” Oliver reached over to a lead that hung on the coat rack and attached it to her before she could get so excited that catching her became an event.
---
Mary Anne, an older lady from down the hall, intercepted Oliver with a cheerful smile. “My, starting your walk a bit late in the eve now, aren’t we. So odd Sue let you.”
“Oh, yeah. Wasn’t much of an option. I’d been out today meeting with an old friend and it ran long. She held up well I think.” Oliver did a motion with his hand, one meant for Sue. Seeing it, she sat in the hall.
“I do hope that old friend will be around more often. Be nice for you to have some friends your own species- Not that Sue isn’t good friend material, but she can’t be much for a conversation. Not that you’re much for one either.”
“Never been one to have much to say I’m afraid.” Oliver laughed. Conversations with Mary Anne tended to run in that direction. Her worry over the weather, or her worry that Oliver never seemed to fit her idea of men his age.
“Oh that’s fine. Having company and having conversation are very different things. Why me and my husband could go days without him saying more than a few words here and there, and I’d never had a lonely moment with him.” She started heading to the hall door. “Come now. I was about to hit up the market so keep me company at least half the way.”
Oliver nodded. “You heard the lady. Come on Sue.” with a light tug on her leash, she was up and leading the way for the humans.
“It's so sweet that you were able to take her in after everything that happened with that old man.“
“Yeah, was such a shock that he’d passed so suddenly. I’m just happy I’d gotten to know them both when I did. Can’t imagine Sue doing well in a shelter…”
Mary Anne made a clicking noise. “Indeed. Not often they’re able to find homes for such a large dog in London. What with all the tiny flats and business sort with too much time away from home.”
Mary Anne reached into her handbag to pull out a jerky strip for Sue while Oliver got the door for them both.
Sue took the treat eagerly.
“You know,” Mary Anne’s voice had an edge of playfulness to it. “My son is single.”
“Yeah, you’ve mentioned before. I’m sure he’s lovely.”
“Oh he is. I’m so proud of him. He's a transplant surgeon, but he doesn't just specialize in one, he can do almost any organ. That's a quite rare skill, you know? And he is darn good at it. His patients are always sent home in better shape then they came in, and rarely do they come back with any complications. The organ is always just perfect for them.”
Oliver smiled. “I sure hope they would be in better shape. Think he might have a little advantage though if he takes after you.”
“Not sure what you mean about that.” She gave him a coy smile as the call of Flesh danced behind her eyes. “Are you sure you wouldn’t like to give it a go? He could understand some of the going’s on as it were.”
“I’m sure.”
Sue starts to tug on Oliver to head to the park across the way.
“Looks like someone has places to be.” He held the lead tightly and reached to pet Sue.
“Doesn’t she always. Have a pleasant rest of your walk dear.” Mary Anne continued on to the store down the way while Oliver and Sue went in the direction of the park.

If it’s not too much to ask can we get just a sentence or even paragraph from the next chapter 🥰🥰
hehehe of course 🥰💛
“Can I call you back in a bit?” She asked, tossing her phone down onto the bed as she walked around her room to collect her pajamas for the night. “I just got out of the shower and I’m getting dressed.”
“Then why am I staring at the ceiling?” Matt asked, huffing. “You still owe me my makeup show and I have it on good authority that E is sleeping at my parents tonight.”
“No peep show,” she laughed, tugging on some loose shorts and an old Senators shirt before picking her phone back up and popping back into frame. “Did your parents tell you?”
“That shirt is hideous and no, E did,” he nodded, propped up against his headboard and looking as if he too was in bed for the night. His hair was fluffed out and dry and he was wearing a Flames shirt. “We facetimed sometime after they ate dinner, took forever to get him to hang up so he could get ready for whatever sleepover he and Brady are having. Not that he’s sleeping in the living room anyway.”
“Yeah,” she sighed, nodding her head. “I saw the picture too.”
“He’s clearly not taking it well, but how are you taking it?” He asked, leaning his head down into his pillow. “Are your nights lonely and cold?”
She rolled her eyes, getting under the covers of her blankets. “They’re fine, Matthew.”
“You’re supposed to say that you’re freezing cold and hate sleeping alone, get on the program Caroline.”
“Fine,” she laughed, looking at him. “My thick blankets are not enough and I shiver every night. Brrr.”
He just stared at the screen, clearly unamused. “I will hang up on you. It’s not nice to mock my pain. Would it kill you to at least act like you miss me? You do miss me...right?”
She held back her smile as best as she could, scooting down into her bed. “Yes, Matt. I do miss you.”
“I know, it’s kind of hard not to,” he replied, shrugging and smiling. “You and E both have the day off tomorrow, right? Got any plans?”
“He does, which is another reason why he’s staying with your parents. It’s a teacher planning day, so I still have to wake up at normal time, that way I won’t have to wake him up early.” She grabbed the remote, turning the tv on and keeping it on whatever channel was on. “And even then, I’ll probably leave around lunch like everyone else does. It’s almost finals time and I don’t have a final, I have the project, so it’s just making sure everything is set for that.”
“No wonder why you’re everyone’s favorite teacher. No final?” Matt scoffed, shaking his head. “I definitely would’ve had a crush on you if you were my teacher.”
“I’m this close to hanging up on you,” she laughed, shaking her head. “But really, I do need to get to sleep. I was just waiting to hear from Brady and see how Ethan was doing tonight.”
“Rude that you don’t want to talk to me, but okay,” he replied, trying to hide his yawn.
“Says the guy who just tried to hide the fact he was yawning. You’re not slick, you and Ethan both have the same ‘I’m tired, but I’m trying not to show it’ signs. Sneaky yawns, you both try to hide the fact you’re slowly lying down and you twitch your mouths from side to side to try and stop yourself from yawning.”
“God, Moms are always so observant it’s really annoying sometimes.” Matt rolled his eyes, laughing soon after. “But yeah, I’m exhausted. Getting back into the swing of things...has been a lot harder than I thought it would be.”
“Don’t stress about it, Matty. You’ll get back into it. You’ve lived this life for a long time, you were practically born for it.” She smiled, laying down and holding her phone above her head. “Just take it one day at a time.”
“Thanks my personal motivational speaker,” he yawned, closing his eyes and sighing. “I guess I’ll call it a night. Be on the lookout tomorrow for something from anything related to Calgary. Treliving said he sent something for you and Ethan today, so it should be there tomorrow.”
“He didn’t have to–”
“Yeah, but you’re my family, so technically you’re a part of his too– well, the organizations. I don’t know what’s in it, he wouldn’t tell me, he just demanded I give him your address. So send me a pic when you get it. Also, I know you guys are having a barbecue at my parents’ place Saturday, so don’t let Brady try and convince Ethan to root for the Blues or wear his jersey. Not allowed at all.”
“I think your parents are doing one of those Tkachuk vs Tkachuk jerseys, but I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any schmoozing. And I’ll definitely send you a picture of the surprise.”
“Get some sleep, I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” he replied, lying further down in his bed and holding his phone above his head. “Maybe then I’ll get my peepshow.”
“Maybe.” She smiled, shrugging. “Goodnight, Matty.”
“Goodnight Care,” he smiled, hanging the call up.
Caroline rolled over onto her side, plugging her phone and flipping it upside down, that way if she wanted to press snooze come tomorrow morning, she would have to flip it over and do it herself. Another thing, she wouldn’t get woken up by the constant lighting of her phone, just in case Matt decided to send her another stream of text messages and snapchat videos. She rolled back over and scooted her way towards the middle of the bed, lying on her left side and sighing heavily, reaching her arm over to her right and across the empty side of the bed, trying not to think about Ethan wouldn’t be joining her tonight and Matt wasn’t here either. And she was able to fall asleep by 11pm
But through her routine, she forgot to turn off her do not disturb button that she never turned off after her six period class ended. If she hadn’t been so worried about how to make sure Ethan was okay, even though he was in the hands of the Tkachuks, maybe she would’ve remembered to turn it off.
Maybe she would’ve seen those texts from Heather with a link to a TMZ article.
Heather Collins: Caroline, answer the phone.
Heather Collins: Blake just sent me this and you need to read it.
Heather Collins: Cari...it’s everywhere.

Tumblr media
pairing: izuku midoriya x reader
genre: fluff
words: 3.2k
summary:
Midoriya grins as he traces the soft bridge of your nose, immediately looking away when you turn.
"Is there something on my face?"
"No! No, not at all."
Just the lack of a kiss, is all.
Sweat soaks through your white collared shirt and a string of curses towards the Department of Rare-Quirked Animals goes with it. Gracing you with a uniform more befitting of a tennis player, you grumble noisily. The net handle nearly slips out of your slick hands until you fumble and hold it with a grip that turns your palms white. You can see Midoriya’s green hair appear in your field of vision. He’s trying to act as if he isn’t squinting and analyzing your every behavior, but he is. The look makes you feel like you’re the rare-quirked animal.
“...What,” you squint back at him, squaring your shoulders to face him head on, “are you looking at?”
“What?! Sorry, were you concentrating? You just looked really stressed so I thought you might want a snack,” Midoriya whips his head left and right before sheepishly smiling at you, “I think we’re off trail anyways, my bad!”
You can’t find it in yourself to be annoyed with him, he’s been your partner since you first joined the DORQA. Your head aches at the thought of the insufferable acronym. If you had to see one more poster promoting their stupid monogram, you might need to be locked up.
But him. Your partner Izuku Midoriya...he always had a gleam in his emerald eyes no matter the job, and he always regarded you with a warm smile! He was the epitome of warmth and sunshine, your heart twinged at the thought of you ruining that with your sourpuss attitude.
Your hand brushes his as you take the protein bar, Midoriya’s face lighting up into beautiful shades of salmon. His back straightens and the apples of his cheeks lift. He’s so inexperienced that it’s funny to watch. He was also definitely a people-pleaser; normally you’d poke fun of him but you were too exhausted to do anything but munch on the almond-chocolate bar.
“I’m gonna radio back to headquarters so we can go back to our tent and get some dinner.”
He pulls his radio out and extends the antenna before turning away to call. A realization dawns on you whilst scanning the clear sky. It’s been four days and the white speckled fox was nowhere to be found. There hadn’t even been droppings or footprints; classifying it as extinct would make your life a lot easier but would lead to repercussions in Aizawa’s office. Aizawa...well, you didn’t want to know what would happen if you even dared to think about it.
There was absolutely no way you were going to let him call headquarters and let them know you’d failed on the excursion you begged to go on. It was just plain humiliating; the thought of Bakugou’s smug grin made you want to strangle someone. Bakugou wasn’t even here!
Midoriya had been moments away from speaking until a big fat finger slammed onto the hang-up button. Your foot beat on the ground, aura reeking of stubbornness. Midoriya cried out and turned to remedy the building lecture he was going to receive from Aizawa. You were quicker than him, swiping like a cat and jerking the phone from his grasp. The device cascaded into soft dirt and was nearly squashed under steel-toed boots.
“No way are we telling headquarters we haven’t found that damn fox yet, we’ll be here till we die as far as I’m concerned,”
“But I feel like we’re getting burnt out! Aizawa will understand!”
A loud sigh rings out as you press your palm to your forehead, squeezing your eyes shut as an attempt to calm down. “Understand my ass!” Retrieving his phone, you toss it to the boy and he lets out a sigh of relief.
“Let’s just go back to camp, okay? I can sway you with more food, can’t I?”
Your cheek twitches with the urge to smile as your eyes roll, settling on him dramatically. You cross your arms, he wasn’t going to win this battle.
“You think I’m gonna listen to you?”
“No, but I think I’m the more responsible one out of the two of us so I should at least try!”
Your shoulders drop as your jaw opens, a gasp of disbelief coming from your lips. If it had been anyone else, you would’ve screamed about the toxicity in the workplace as you stomped to Toshinori’s office. But in this moment, all you could feel was warmth washing over you. Embarrassment, you were responsible!
“I can be very responsible for your information, write that down in your little notebook!”
Picking up the forgotten net with a harrumph, you stomp your shoe to kick off dirt before walking away. Only two steps ahead, your body quickly turns around adorning the smile of someone who was losing their mind.
“You may be more responsible, but I’m more determined! I’m finding that fucking fox and you can come with me or not!”
You secretly pray he won’t report this, the termination letter left on your desk would be the final straw, your new life beginning by moving countries away and living within a secluded cabin. A strand of hair falls into your face and frustration explodes out of you with ascream. Shaking your hair out before tying it back up, Midoriya’s lips are strawberry and swollen at that point. With the way he’s biting them; they’ll turn into a pretty cherry red soon.
He shakes his head too, clearing the budding laugh in his lungs. He might’ve even looked a bit beautiful had he not been laughing at you.
He was such a nerd.
“Of course I’m coming, what kind of partner would I be if I didn’t? Besides, you need someone to keep you from losing your mind,” he settles his net on his back (firmly strapped in, he would never let you forget that important tip.) You find yourself looking away. Your eyes tug at the wants of your consciousness, desperate to admire the way his forearm flexed when adjusting his belt.
“Did you know this fox is patient and a hard-worker? Looks like you two are total opposites.”
You don’t miss the subtle dig and there’s a bruise to your ego with the way he smirks at you. Retaliation comes easy when your arms swing to capture his head in your net, a proud grin covering up the hearty laugh.
“Whoops! Looks like I caught a total dork in the wild, how’d that happen?”
His voice feels like the sunshine shining on your skin as he shakes his hair out, fluffy with his sweat gleaming under the rays. You only had a few hours left till you were blinded, only able to see his freckles in the shadow of an orange fire. The cool air that would breeze through as the two of you sat in silence, tension soon replacing the chilling wind. You slept in separate tents, professionalism was still a thing.
But you did wonder how it would feel to cuddle up under his arm and stare at the tent ceiling together. Maybe even the sky on a grassy patch in the summer. You envied your daydreams.
Every once in a while, Midoriya’s tracker beeped to remind you of where you are (well, not really, it was so you didn’t die out in the middle of nowhere) which knocks you completely out of your haze. There was no red, white, speckles, or fox anywhere. Anger courses through you at the thought of having to return back to camp empty-handed; your shoes stomping harder into mud. You rub your eyes before taking a deep breath, ready to zero in on the next nearby animal.
“We should probably go back soon, I think I might run out of water unless we find a stream but then…”
Your partner’s voice fades into obscurity when you see it, a flash of white in the corner of your eye. So fast you might have almost missed it if it weren’t for your keen senses. You could practically hear the crunching of leaves as it ran behind a bush.
In that moment it would’ve been much better to yell shhh and come at it with an element of your surprise. Your mind blanks, legs springing into action with a fierce jump. Your vocal chords could only make out one word.
“FOX!”
Both bodies soar through the air, Midoriya following your lead as you crash through the bush. Bramble sticks you in your side and your eyes shut to embrace the impact your elbows, your whole body really, were about to receive. Wind knocks out of you as you grin once you can feel yourself fully settled on the ground.
“I got you, you little…” your eyes open. You blink once, twice, you even squeeze them a bit, “...bastard.”
There is no fox, even the trees have gone silent. The pinecone with white sparkles on it sits perched perfectly on its bottom, it’s mocking you. Surely.
“That’s—”
“I know what it is, Midoriya.”
Shivers run across his skin at your cold throaty voice. Your head plunks into the ground, you lay there for a bit. It hurts so bad, if only the Earth could crack open and swallow you whole. Maybe falling into the Earth’s crust wasn’t so bad, burning to death must be colder than the shame that courses through your veins.
You can practically taste it in your saliva.
How was it possible to have made this...this rookie mistake?
“I want to die, Midoriya.”
He shushes you and lays a warm, large hand between your shoulder blades to comfort you. He winces when the shirt drags across your skin due to the moisture soaked through it.
Gross. He opts for patting your back lightly.
“It’s alright, we all make mistakes.”
“I’m considering quitting the field. How much do accountants make?”
You can hear the smile in his voice, “an actual accountant? Or is that a metaphor for something else?” He’s holding back his laugh, snorts coming out every few seconds.
Your head shoots up to give him an incredulous look, you didn’t even think he knew about that type of stuff. Let alone have the bravery to say it, your mouth opens and closes as you scramble to find something to say.
“You’re a pervert!”
His laugh echoes in your ears again like before, your own sounding out at the absolute ridiculousness of it all. Leaping towards a pinecone and now lying with a mud stain on your pristine white shirt. Things could not have gone any worse with this type of turn around. Maybe this was the good ending.
Midoriya’s hand reaches to his pocket, digging out his tracker and standing from his squat.
“Ready to go eat some nice soup from a can?”
You snort and push yourself up, kicking the pinecone with the remnants of your anger before turning to him, “soup in a can?”
“It’s all we have…” he trails off and fiddles with his tracker, “soup. Soup is all we have…”
“Yeah, you said that. What’s up? Don’t tell me...did Aizawa find out I did that?! Did you leave your radio on?” you reach towards your pocket and pull your radio out, “did I?...”
The incessant beeping you were used to hearing was silent now. When Midoriya sheepishly looks at you, flashing the dark screen of his device you think you might try to find the nearest cliff.
“Oh wow, oh great. That’s just, it broke? Like just now, it decided to fucking break?”
Rapid nods in quick succession.
“Okay. This isn’t a joke or anything right?”
“No. It is broken and you left yours.”
You spend a few minutes screaming with a stick in your mouth at the sky, the makeshift gag effective at silencing you but the rage still swirls like a storm inside you as you pace incessantly. Midoriya sits on a log, trying to radio in or charge the tracker with sun power (“it doesn’t have that capability!”) but it’s a lost cause.
You’re stuck in the forest.
“Fuck! ”
It’s not long before you’ve given up hope. You’re going to die out here to some sort of animal that will eat the meat off your bones like a plate of ribs.
“Midoriya, I feel like we’re walking in circles. I’m also going to starve to death so we should call it quits.”
“I didn’t know you were so weak! I told you we should've gone back earlier, but you’re stubborn!”
He’s mildly irritated, you can tell by the way his jaw clenches while he looks rapidly for a familiar landmark. You feel bad, you didn’t mean to be so rude. He was way more put together than you were, you needed him.
Your eyes search the surroundings, looking for something to possibly cheer him up. “Berries!” Your hand leaves the back of his shirt and you miss his disappointed frown from the disappearance of your warmth.
“We can eat these, maybe there’s hope after all.”
These are poisonous, you learn this within the first few days. If there was one thing Midoriya liked, it was teaching. You were sure if he weren’t here, he’d be helping some little kid realize their dreams of working in the safari.
“Well, aren’t those like-the poisonous ones?! Don’t put anything in your mouth!” He grabs the bush branch and shakes it away from you, the berries falling with little thumps on the ground.
You grin.
“I must be going crazy, we have got to find a way home before I mistake you for a nice piece of broccoli.”
“Shush. Look, remember when I went to pee? I found a water source.”
You blink, a dead look in your face.
“Listen, I may think you’re attractive but I’m not drinking your pee.”
He scrambles for words and shakes his head with wide eyes.
“Attractive?! I was just-there was a stream so I took the time to purify it!”
“Oh! Well, I just thought you were taking a shit.”
“You’re being inappropriate!”
Had someone been listening in, all they would be able to hear were the pleads from a male and the wonderful laugh of his partner.
Midoriya always felt golden light flow through his chest when you were around. The trail you two were on continued downhill, a man-made path making itself known once the two of you kicked astrew leaves away, it was mutually agreed to head downhill as you (possibly) recalled going uphill to get where you were in the first place.
The stars were beginning to rear their pretty heads, speckling in and out of the sky and it left a heavy feeling in your chest. You didn’t want something to happen to either of you, unconsciously clinging to Midoriya harder, you sighed shakily.
“I was joking before, but I'm actually getting a little nervous.”
You admire his freckled jawline, illuminated by the lantern he’d broken out. He gives you a quick side glance, searching for a trick being placed before nodding.
“Me too. I’m really sorry about the tracker, I should’ve charged it!”
A huff escapes you from the way he was so utterly wrong, you were the one mistaking pinecones for foxes and being ridiculous.
“No way! I was the one being immature, I’m sorry about that one. We should’ve gone back like you said.”
His shoulders square a bit more, your frame shrinking in tandem. You two were like two animals, one protecting the other with its teeth bared and stance wide.
“You’re...You’re really the reason I’m here.”
“What?”
A beat of silence passes through the both of you, your lips ruby red from the way you gnawed on them with your anxiety chilling you.
“I just mean, you’re the reason I joined. You were so little, prattling on and on...It inspired me too. I probably wouldn’t have been able to get here if it wasn’t for you.”
He’s a bit shocked, half his face is lit and you can tell he doesn’t know what to say. His mouth opens and he can’t even resist the ear to ear grin making its way to imprint his feature.
“I-I mean...well! I’m glad,” he takes a deep breath, “I have to tell you something.”
Midoriya’s hands clench at his side, dripping with sweat as you look at him with big eyes, eagerly anticipating his anecdote.
You watch as if it’s slow motion, he takes a breath and the ghost of a word escapes him but the sound of a tiny scream beats him to the finish line. You’re sure he said something, but your eyes flit past his shoulder, lower, to stare dead in the eyes of a white speckled fox.
The two of you stare in a locked gaze as it’s tail swishes back and forth. You don’t even breath, blood rushing in your ears.
“You motherfucker.”
“Huh?”
You bound past Midoriya, heels digging so hard into the ground that dirt flies up in a cloud. It was like you nearly disappeared.
“The fox Midoriya, the fox!” you cry, “I need you!”
He wasn’t sure if it was the fact he’d confessed and your selective hearing had kicked in, or the fact that it was his job. He didn’t know what made him feel so happy, maybe it was the part of you saying you needed him.
A phrase so simple that struck him in the heart. His feet dashed behind you, lantern outstretched as he cried for you, “I’m coming!”
It was like life or death, but it wasn’t. Why did everything feel so emotionally charged? Your thighs ached and the threat of collapsing was gaining on you.
It hit you though, jumping from rock to rock, that red tailing practically swishing in your face.
“I like you. More than partners, like! I want us to, you know, date and stuff.”
It was totally jerky and awkward, but the words registered in your mind when the fox darted into its burrow. You pause, careful to not ruin it’s precious home. Midoriya comes barreling beside you, barely even panting while a stitch in your side wrecks your lungs.
“Did you get it?!”
“You like me?”
Midoriya gives you an incredulous look, “you’re asking that after we just ran all the way here?!”
“It has a family.”
He sighs a loud breath and squats, “yeah. It does.”
You stare at the opening and listen to the soft squeaks in the nighttime air.
“I like you too.”
His head snaps up, voice wavering while you two share an interlocked gaze.
“Really?”
A familiar smirk quirks up, “duh. What kind of a girl follows a boy into the same field if she doesn't like him?”
Oh! He supposed it should’ve been more obvious when it was worded like that. You plop down next to him, leaning fully against him.
“We can’t capture her. She is a mother.”
“I’m glad we agree.”
The stars shine the brightest at this moment, you can’t exactly see his freckles the way you could before but you know they’re still there.
“The moon looks beautiful tonight.”
“I’m glad I could share it with you.”
A soft nudge is given to your shoulder, “I didn’t know you were such a romantic.”
You snort and let your head hang. Midoriya resists the urge to kiss you right then and there.
“I don’t know, I guess foxes just do it for me.”
A wordless hum reverberates through his chest, shifting to wrap an arm around you. The moment’s sweet.
“So, how are we going to get back home?”
“I have no idea.”
