I have a new sasusaku au idea.

So say after the third shinobi war, Leaf and Sand made a peace agreement via arranged marriage. The sand would provide a relative of the Kazakage's family to be a bride for one of the head families of Konoha's clans.

The Uchiha clan was chosen to receive the bride. It wasn't decided yet if she would wed Itachi or Sasuke but she would be for one of them.

As for the bride herself, there was a debate to send the Kazakage's daughter Temari, but then Suna's council remembered that Karura had a sister who had a daughter.

Sakura knew her whole life that she would eventually be sent to Konoha as a peace bride. Her childhood was kinda lonely because of it. Suna's council started her ninja training young because they knew the Uchiah's were a ninja clan by trade and that they value strength. They gave her to Lady Chiyo to train. Sakura never really took to puppetry, not like Kankuro, but she did excell under Lady Chiyo's posion teachings and beginner medical training.

When Sakura wasn't with Lady Chiyo, she was with her cousins. She was closest to Gaara since both of them were being raised to be used in service to the village (Gaara as a weapon and Sakura as a peace offering) which left them both pretty isolated as children. This isolation also left Sakura a little oblivious to the village's fear of her favorite cousin. All she knew was that Gaara was a sweet boy who just needed some extra training to control his powers. Yes, she did know that Gaara had Shukaku in him and sometimes he lost control of his powers, but like most kids, she doesn't fully understand what that means.

Sakura and Gaara's relationship took a hit when their uncle, Yashamaru, tried to kill Gaara and then proceeded to blow himself up. Gone was the sweet boy who wanted to love and be loved. Gaara was now colder, and while Sakura still cared greatly for her cousin, it felt like he only tolerated her now. She was still one of his closest relationships, along with his siblings.

When Sakura was twelve, she was given two items. The first was a chain with a ring on it. The ring was silver with a red jewel. Purple chakra swirled in the jewel. The second item was a headband with Konoha's symbol on it.

It was time for her to go to the Leaf Village.

On Konoha's side after the Uchiha massacre the council looked for ways to keep Sasuke in line. They remembered the deal with Suna and made the arrangements to officially betrothed Sasuke and Sakura. Not that they told him.

The deal was that once Sasuke graduated from the Academy, they would bring Sakura to the village and assign her to his genin team. Kakashi about damn near had heart failure when his third student was escorted in with two Sand anbu behind her. Gai had to console him later.

Sakura looked around curiously at everything as she followed Kakashi to meet her other teammates. There was a lot more color in Konoha than Suna, especially the color green. Her teacher was curious, too. He introduced himself as Kakashi Hatake. Hmm, the only Hatake Sakura knew about was the White Fang Sakumo, and Lady Chiyo wanted him dead. She wonders if Kakashi is related.

Sakura is behind Kakashi when he opens the door to a classroom and an erasure falls on his head. A loud laugh was heard from the inside. Was that her betrothed or her other teammate?

"That's what you get for being late!" The voice shouted.

We're they late? Sakura winced. That was probably her fault. Kakashi did have to get her from the Hokage's tower.

Kakashi only humed as he stepped into the room, Sakura following behind. Two boys turned their stares from their sensei to her. She scanned them, one was a blonde with whisker like marks on his face, the other had black hair and eyes. While she couldn't verify via the Uchiah symbol, Sakura had to guess the dark eyed boy was her betrothed Sasuke. She was told the Uchiah's typically had darker features.

Kakashi humed again. "My first impress of you three, I hate all of you."

Well damn, that's not good. Sakura needs allies if she's gonna survive here and make sure to maintain the peace agreement. Having her sensei hate her right off the bat doesn't bode well for her.

They're led up to the roof where Kakashi has them introduce themselves, not that he offered up much info.

The blonde boy started. "My name is Naruto Uzumaki! I like ramen, especially the ramen at Ichiraku! But I hate having to wait the three minutes for it to cook. And my dream is to be the greatest Hokage!"

Well, he was energetic. But this did confirm Sakura's suspicions.

Sasuke spoke next. "My name is Sasuke Uchiah. I dislike a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anyone. I don't have a dream because I will make it a reality. I will restore my clan and kill a certain someone."

Oh, well, there's some familiarity of home with her betrothed. At least she'll have some knowledge on how to approach her betrothed thanks to Gaara.

The boys turned towards her and Kakashi tilted his head. We'll go on.

Sakura blushed. Oh, right. "I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like, I mean, um-" Damn her accent slipped, and after her tutors worked so hard to make sure it was perfect. "I like studying. . ." Can't say posions, won't look good since she's suppsed to be a peace offering. ". . .medical plants and the effect they have on the body. My dislikes are um. . ." What was safe to say? She didn't get a chance to study her teammates before, and there wasn't much info her anbu escorts gave her either.

Kakashi seemed to take pity on her. "And your dream for the future?"

That was easy. "To maintain the peace and alliance between Konoha and Suna."

"How come we've never seen you before?" Naruto asked her.

The boys looked at her confused. Sakura looked at Sasuke confused. Why was he confused? He's the other half to making this peace agreement work.

Kakashi cleared his throat. "Sakura is from another village, but she has been put on this team as part of an alliance agreement. Now for tomorrow we'll have our first mission."

Sakura tensed as Kakashi explained that of the graduates only nine ever make it to genin and the rest are sent back to the academy. What does that mean for her? Would she be sent back to Suna? That can't happen, not if they want to peace agreement to work out, she can't fail this!

Sakura went to speak with Sasuke after they were dismissed. She knows they officially just met but they did need to talk about their engagement. Kakashi pulled them both back.

Kakashi pulled a silver ring on a chain out of his pocket. Sakura knew that ring. It was the matching ring to the one she wore around her neck, except it had her chakra in it instead of Sasuke's. Why would Kakashi have it?

Kakashi handed the chain to Sasuke. "Did your parents ever tell you about your engagement?"

Sasuke's face fell into a scowl. "What?"

Sakura began to grow mortified.

"The alliance agreement between Konoha and Suna was sealed with an arranged marriage between the Uchiha clan and a relative of Suna's leader, the Kazekage," Kakashi explained. "Sakura is the Kazakage's niece, and per the agreement, you two will be living together from this point on."

Sasuke turned his glare on to Sakura. Sakura was thankful she gotten used to Gaara's glares.

Welcome to Suna. Where the lights never die and the fun never stops. Sakura and Ino lie to their parents to spend a wild weekend in a forbidden city. Will they regret it? Or will they both find something worth coming for? Main pairing is GaaraxSakura and side InoxKankuro.[Listening to 1989 album by Taylor Swift.]

Chapter summary: Gaara and Sakura are already tired of Kankuro and Ino.

Part 8, Get lost

"Did we take a left or right first?"

"We're not lost," Sakura snapped at her friend.

"Yes we are."

"No we're not."

Ino just poked her tongue and then started talking about Kankuro again. She wanted the four of them to double date and maybe go catch a movie together. A few more ideas and Sakura was terrified about her friend's imagination.

And she was just tired of hearing Ino chitter about. Normally, it took a lot for her to be truly annoyed by Ino. They grew up together. They were used to each other. But Sakura didn't have much longer with Gaara so she didn't want to spend the weekend with Ino and Kankuro. How could she feel comfortable enough to climb back into Gaara's bed with them hanging around? She didn't want to waste time trading stories.

We can do that when we get home.

Her heart was so sad about that but it was okay.

So Ino chattered and it was a few minutes before Sakura realised they actually were lost.

"Hang on," Ino interrupted her own speech. "I don't recognise this corridor."

Sakura looked around. They'd taken a wrong turn and had headed further in. They kept walking but when they turned a corner and bumped into an unfamiliar person, there was no denying it.

"Okay, we're lost."

Kankuro knocked on the doors as they moved down the hallway. Gaara rolled his eyes. Why would they be in the games room or the billiard room or the great room? They would have followed instruction and found one of the bathrooms. He did not know anything about Ino but Sakura was not an idiot.

Do I know her? He felt like he did. At least a little. They had done so much in a small space of time. It was still Saturday morning and he estimated almost 12 hours of knowing each other. He had been with a couple of girls before but it was just hormones. He was a proud teenager.

It was cliche but Sakura was different. There was a connection between them. Felt so much more when he was balls deep of course. The physical part of their time together was his highlight. But it was different. He could not articulate how he felt that made this better it just was. He wanted to hold her to assuage her. To wipe away her concerns when she sometimes had a lost look on her face.

I just want her.

He knows this all sounds childish and that is why he doesn't tell Kankuro. His brother would just tease him relentlessly and dismiss him.

"Where are they?" Kankuro muttered.

"In the bathroom," Gaara said immediately. He smiled at his brother's glare.

"Hey you--"

Whatever Kankuro wanted to say would have to wait.

"Honourable Sabaku-san!"

"Sabaku?" Ino's whiny voice mingled in with the servant's and Gaara snapped his head around, immediately looking for Sakura.

"Thank you," Sakura was saying to the older woman, bowing slightly. The maid in question was more like a Governess in attitude and her eyes immediately widened in concern at the pinkette's motions.

Gaara reached out and took Sakura's hand to pull her to him. "Thank you, tetsudai-san," he said, and she remembered her place, bowing to him and Kankuro before leaving.

"We ran into your maid," Ino said, falling into Kankuro's outstretched arms.

"Sorry," Sakura said, letting Gaara's arm hug her. "I guess we lost track of time."

"In the bathroom?" Kankuro was annoying.

"Talking." Ino smacked his arm.

Gaara leaned in to whisper, "let's get back to our picnic". She shifted in his hold. "I want to eat you out while you eat strawberries."

"We don't have strawberries," she said softly and he chuckled.

He began rubbing her skin with the pad of his thumb. Ino and Kankuro were in the background, making white noise. Gaara slid his other hand up her shirt as he pulled her to him a touch of his fingers against her nipples making her moan softly.

"Get a room!"

They snapped out of it. Gaara glared at his brother. Ino looked amused.

"Lets get a room together," the blonde said, waggling her eyebrows.

Kankuro smirked. "Yeah. I read this article where sometimes couples have sex in front of each other. It's hot. Let's do that!"

Sakura paled.

"No thankyou," Gaara said, then snapped, "no" when his brother tried to say more.

"Your loss," Ino said, hands on her hips. "I think you two would look amazing on our hotel bed."

"Ino!" Sakura growled.

"Fine, fine, forehead. Just let me know when you change your mind."

"Lets get back to the picnic, shall we?" Kankuro asked.

Gaara did not want to return to having to keep his hands off Sakura. They made their way back as he tried to figure out how to ditch his brother and Sakura's friend.

His hand found hers and she smiled, blushing. Was it the touch or the romantic connotations that made her shy? Or the looks Ino was giving her. Just what had they talked about?

Kankuro and Ino returned to their picnic basket as Gaara reluctantly lowered himself on the ground. The two couples talked softly with each other and the redhead was sure Sakura was thinking what he was thinking.

How do we ditch them?

He felt an earnest desire to hasten their intimacy. They only had the weekend. The idea of not being able to get rid of the carry-ons was sobering.

"You should show Ino the horses," Gaara said when he heard them talking about the animals their family kept.

Sakura looked interested until he side-eyed her and she leaned back into him. He wrapped an arm around her in a show of possessiveness.

"Horses?" Ino looked around. "Well we already see them every day."

"We have other animals," Gaara insisted.

"Peacocks," Kankuro said slowly, watching his brother suspiciously for a few seconds. When Ino squealed he turned all his attention on her.

"Ooh, what else?" Ino sat up straight, tucking her legs underneath herself.

"Father bought another tortoise last month," Gaara added. She pulled a face. "And an ostrich a week ago."

Sakura might have been used to the high-pitched squeals of her blonde friend but Gaara had to cover his ears when she did that. Kankuro looked a little lost.

"Kankuro should take you to the reserve on site."

"What about you, Sakura?" Ino asked excitedly, turning to face her friend. "Maybe they have tigers, like those millionaires in the magazines."

Sakura pulled a face. "Those animals belong in the wild."

Gaara couldn't agree more. He never did understand the need to cage and tame wild beasts.

"We'll entertain ourselves here," he said. "I haven't slathered enough honey today."

Sakura elbowed him as Ino and Kankuro both laughed. They fell for it, gathering up their things but leaving most of the food behind.

"We'll be back later," Kankuro said.

"Take your time."

He watched them wander off.

"Finally," Sakura breathed, next to him.

"Yes." Gaara stood and brushed himself off. "Shall we escape before they return?"

"Of course."

She giggled as they quickly grabbed their things and ran like forbidden lovers, laughing and holding hands, toward his bedroom.

They stopped by Gaara's room. He made a show of collecting the box of condoms from before. She turned away as her face heated up and ignored his chuckle.

Of course he's planning ahead.

Sakura hadn't brought anything other than her bag so she just waited for Gaara to grab a few things; keys, wallet, condom strips taken out of the box and slipped inside his wallet and back pocket. He was stocking up. The idea was thrilling and she couldn't wait to escape.

"Ready?" He asked.

Sakura nodded. "Let's get out of here before they know we've gone."

She wondered if he could summon that limousine from last night again. Maybe it was his personal chauffeur? She slipped her hand into his, lacing their fingers, and returned his gentle, knowing smile.

Sakura was sure she was high or something. Her body felt light and free as they escaped the estate, toward the entrance where they'd arrived with the limousine.

The Ino devil on her shoulder was pouting. She was leaving her behind.

Ino will be fine with Kankuro, she thought. I have my own fun to have.

That was her reasons.

"Where are we going?" She asked Gaara after he had a quick conversation with the chauffeur, slipped him some money, and they slid into the comfort of the back of the limousine once more.

"Somewhere you'll never expect." He kissed her deeply and hands began to undo buttons. Her own hands were already working on Gaara's trousers. His cock was warm and familiar against her hand before she could even formulate a verbal response.

Later on, her phone would vibrate with an irate text from her friend. But Ino would just have to forgive her. This weekend was about having fun. It was about great sex. And Gaara was what she needed for that.

Bro listen, if you wanna make a GaaOC then please for the love of god have them meet or interact AFTER Naruto beat his ass to make him realize he messed up. NARUTO saved him, not your shit OC. Besides it makes more sense then because after Naruto beat him is when he wants to learn and become a better person. Do THAT.

I totally agree, even as a child he was very difficult to deal, even his family was afraid of him. I can't imagine an oc childhood friend interacting with him to try to change him before Naruto met him. Naruto was the only person who actually made him a better person.

It is truly awful how the fandom at large has made the entire Sasori fight about Sakura when it’s mostly about Chiyo and Sasori’s personal development and the tragic ending of a family line, how the Shinobi system corrupts and destroy the innocence of children and turns them into monsters, and how the elders of all nations have been complicit either directly or indirectly in every bit of chaos that this system breeds weather they like it or not. Sakura is, mostly, just an accessory. She helps contribute to the themes by fighting alongside Chiyo but she is not THE only focus.

She gives Chiyo some hope at the start of the rescue arc but it’s Naruto who really has a drastic impact on her emotionally and we see the same is true vice versa, Chiyo is one of the people Naruto remembers who had a powerful impact on him during the war arc. Like… if it’s only about Sakura then why? It can’t be for character development, we see in the very next arc she goes back to being as influential on the plot as a piece of pink furniture. Her character actually continually gets worse and worse with its crescendo during the Kage summit, wherein she is just plain awful. Why is this arc and all its moving parts and relevance to the themes of the story reduced to just Sakura? Mostly because shippers like her, for god knows whatever reason.

Tsunade Senju : Director of Konoha's Hospital, the medical program and the Diamond Girls. However, she delegates all the time in order to better manage her responsibilities. Can come and go whenever she wants. The slug sannin.

Shizune Kato : Tsunade's second and the one who runs Konoha's Hospital most of the time. Often exchanges places with Rin. She must stay in the village, unless there's an emergency.

Rin Nohara : Tsunade's third (yet the 2nd apprentice) and supervisor of the medical program. She must stay in Konoha at any time, given her condition. Often helping with the Hospital and the Diamond Girls.

#Some details:#Shizune has a photograph of Dan on her desk and she asks him for strength before every surgery #Tsunade found Rin in time to save her life but Rin developed a chronic condition due the damage her body suffered #She still can fight but Tsunade thinks it's too risky and they need her more in Konoha anyway #Whenever she's not using hospital clothing Shizune dresses formal because she has to go to a lot of administrative activities and meetings #Rin is always dressed comfortably and has a routine to take care of her body to keep her condition at bay #Tsunade is insanely good managing her time #And she trusts Shizune and Rin completely #And with Sakura back after completing her Suna internship they can breath a little easier #Shizune Rin and Sakura are like sisters #Tsunade considers them Senju in all but name since she's the last Senju and they are her apprentices #naruto #Naruto au #Diamond Girls au #Tsunade Senju #Shizune kato #Rin Nohara #Naruto Shippuden #Naruto Shippuden au #Shanarutoaus #Shanarutofanfics

Naruto modern au

High-school system:

Principle = Hokage

Kakashi, guy, ect. = teachers

Akatsuki = delinquent

Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, ect. = middle school students

Naruto-🍜 Loud kid who distracts the class

🍜 Does a lot of pranks to the teachers or Sasuke

🍜 Gets a talk with the principal a lot

🍜 Just passing grades

Naruto was in class waiting for the teacher to come in. Of course it was Kakashi. He was already five minutes late. Naruto sighs to himself. He then got up from his seat and stretched. He decided that while he waited might as well do a prank on Kakashi while he waited.

He then got something to fill up with water and then headed out of the classroom. He made sure that no one knew that he was missing while he got the water. Once he got the water, smirking to himself, he then went back to the classroom.

He then opened the door really widely. He walks in and sets the water down on a desk. He then heard Saukara coming up to him. He then looks over at her confused.

“What do you think you are doing?” she asked him.

“Oh..nothing” He says and smirks at her. She frowns more and crosses his arms.

“Doesn’t seem like nothing” She says and points to the thing that is filled with water. He smirks and shrugs.

“I don't know what you mean,” He says. He then grabs the thing that was filled with water before putting it on the door. He then chuckles to himself. ‘If he is going to take forever might as well have some fun while we wait’ Naruto thought to himself. He then looked over at Sakura who looked mad at him. He smiles innocently and rubs the back of his head. Sakura had put her hands on her hips and sighs.

“Whatever but if you get in trouble I wasn’t a part of it at all” She says and goes back to her seat. He lets out the breath he was holding in. He thought Sakura would have done something to get him to stop but she didn't. He then goes back to his seat and waits for Kakashi to come into the classroom.

He then talked to people around him while he waited. He was so ready for Kakashi to come into the classroom and get water all over himself.

Sakura-

Sakura was working on some homework she had for another class. While she was doing the homework she was also talking to Ino about something that had been happening and how to do some things in their classes.

While she was working on the homework and talking to Ino she heard the classroom door slam open. She looked up from her work and saw Naruto come into the classroom holding something filled with water. She then got up and went over to him.

‘What does he think he is doing?’ She thought to herself. She then crosses her arms.

“What do you think you are doing?” she asked him.

“Oh..nothing” He says and smirks at her. She frowns more and crosses his arms.

“Doesn’t seem like nothing” She says and points to the thing that is filled with water. He smirks and shrugs.

“I don't know what you mean,” He says. She then watched him put the water up. ‘Of course Naruto would be the person to do this’ she thought.

Sakura had put her hands on her hips and sighs.

“Whatever but if you get in trouble I wasn’t a part of it at all” She says and goes back to her seat. She then sat back down and began to do her work. She wasn’t in the mood to stop Naruto right now so she just left it alone.

Sasuke-

🐍 Quite kid who won’t say much to you if he does it's normally about making fun of you, does this to Naruto a lot.

🐍 All As.

🐍 Once the bells rings he is out of the door, not a second after, always the first to class.

🐍 Gets all his work and everything done early.

Sasuke was looking out the window. He did wish that Kakashi would at least leave something for them while they wait for him. He sighs and leans back in his chair till his back hits the wall. He normally sat all the way in the back so while they are in class he can be on his phone and crap. Also because he doesn’t have to deal with all the other kids in his class.

He then heard someone come into the room and then someone stand up from their chair. He looks over, wondering what was going on. He then saw Naruto, carrying something, and Sakura going over to him. He watches them, wanting to know what was going on.

While this was happening no one made a sound so it was easy for him to be able to hear what they were saying. He watches before finding it boring and ignoring them. He really didn't care anymore. He then got onto his phone while he waited for Kakashi to come into class which probably won't be for a while.

Gaara-

⏳ little different than everyone else. He works with the board.

⏳ But he does go to a few of his classes.

⏳ Stand off. He doesn’t talk to anyone he doesn’t know and even someone he does know he still doesn’t talk to them unless they make the first move

Gaara had just come into class. He was a bit late since he had just come from a meeting since this was his first class. He had to only take about three classes. Which is math, history, and english. His first class was English, the class that Kakashi teaches.

He had seen Naruto in the hallway while holding something but kinda ignoring it. He did give Naruto a little nod since they were friends but then continued to the classroom.

Once he got there he then slipped in and went into his seat in the back, on the opposite side of Sasuke. He didn’t mind being in the back since then he didn’t have to talk to anyone unless they came up to him and started talking to him, even then he didn't say much. He was surprised that Kakashi wasn’t here yet since he was pretty late to class but he just shrugged it off. He then got everything ready for the class and looked at the desk while he waited for Kakashi to come into class, going in and out of sleep.

Shikamaru-

☁️ student that teachers trust the most.

☁️ is able to miss class without getting in trouble

Shikamaru was messing around with his pencil. He sighs to himself. ‘This is the third time this week and it's only Tuesday. What could he be doing right now? This is such a drag. I could be doing something else than wasting my time here. What a drag’ He thought to himself while he played with the pencil. He didn’t even realize that Naruto left the classroom and Gaara had come into the classroom. He was normally really good at telling if someone left or had joined them.

He was lost in his thoughts before his friends, Choji, had pulled him out of his thoughts.

“Hey, Shikamaru?” Choji asked while tapping Shikamaru’s shoulder, trying to get his attention. Choji has probably been trying to get his attention for a while now. He then looks at him confused. Maybe they are starting lessons finally, since he was whispering to him.

But Choji just points over at Naruto. Shikamaru looks over confused and sees Naruto putting something over the door of the classroom full of water. He then sighs to himself. He was now wishing he would just skip this class. It's not like they learn anything. Even when they do it's just a quick lesson that he catches on. So why did he even bother?

Hinata-

💜 Student who never talks and if does you can never hear her.

💜 A and B student.

💜 does all the work in projects student

Hinata was reading a book while she waited for Kakashi. She had found out that they were going to have a book report that he wanted them to do. So she decided that she would get a head start. Even if she works with someone, she would be left to do it by herself anyways so no point in waiting.

While she was in the middle of her sentence the door to the classroom slammed open. She looked up from her book and saw Naruto. She watches him, kinda confused from what he is doing and how he got that and when did he leave the classroom.

She then heard Kiba whisper things to Choji and then Choji trying to get Shikamaru’s attention. She then looked back at Naruto. She then saw Sakura talking to him. She thought that maybe she was going to do something to Naruto to get him to stop doing whatever but instead she just went back to her seat. She then watched Naruto finish what he was doing and then him going to his seat. She then shakes her head before continuing on the book report.

Kakashi-.

🐕 The late teacher to class.

🐕 Doesn’t care what we do as long as we are working.

🐕 Grades things fair.

🐕 Teaches while he reads his book

Kakashi had finally got done with what he was doing. He had to help clean up with the janitors because some kid had made a mess with clay in the room. He didn’t even realize what time it was till he finished and looked at the time.

He saw that he was late to his class. He just sighs and shrugs. He knows that the kids there are used to it now so he just walked his way to his class.

Once he got to the class he went up to the front of the room. He then saw Naruto out of his seat, looking between him and the door. He then looks over at the door and sees something holding some water. He then realized that if he opened the door anymore then he had it would have spilled on him.

He was surprised that it didn't spill now that he is looking at it. He then sighs softly, happy that it didn't. He then decided to ignore it before starting class. He would just talk to Naruto later about it.

Deidara-

🐦 plays pranks all everyone.

🐦 only goes to art class.

🐦 mess around with everyone and makes them embarrassed with however that is

Deidara had just gotten done with bombing a classroom full of clay that he found from the art room. He was now in the locker room, with Sasori, cleaning himself off. He had gotten to school two hours earlier just to do this prank, forcing Sasori to join him even though Sasori didn’t want to.

He finally was able to clean himself before looking over at Sasori while he dried off.

“This will be hilarious when they find the classroom” Deidara says and chuckles to him.

Sasori just nodes while he finishes up the doll he has been working on all morning, he had stolen the supplies in the art room when Deidara had to get all the clay he needed. He has just been sitting in the locker room, waiting for Deidara to finish.

Deidara then puts on the extra shirt he has and goes over to Sasori and sits beside him and sighs. Not knowing what to do while they waited for the rest of the gang to come to school.
