My housemate reminded me of a flashbulb memory I have that I really wish I had a photograph of because it would be a magnificent image to inflict on the internet at large with Zero Context, but I'll try to describe it here, and then draw it after dinner.
Image Description:
As seen from about three feet off the ground: Interior, the den of an american suburban house built at the height of the atomic age and still decorated like it years later. There's dark wood paneling about halfway up the walls that offsets the almost neon pink-orange light of late sunset visible through the large window. Every object in the room is highlighted by the last of the sunlight. The only other light in the room is a TV set that was manufactured the same year Howdy Doody debuted on air, now broadcasting PBS Newshour in black and white.
Closest to the viewer, there is a small end table with a Nearly Full Martini glass, and a Half-empty glass Martini Pitcher, indicating that two of the five martinis it holds have been poured out.
Just behind it, an old man sits in a chair that was bright green and yellow when it was new but is now more Grellow. The man is in his mid-sixites, somewhat heavyset, with a full head of snow-white hair and thick glasses. He's wearing a dark brown tweed suit with leather elbow patches, and a white cotton button-up. He's watching the news with a calm and dispassionate demeanor. Tired, but still engrossed with the world's events. He's wearing dark brown penny loafers and garish argyle socks.
Behind him is a couch that is a matched set with the armchair, with the same Grellow chevron pattern, but there is a very large crochet afghan that has been spread out over the back to be decorative and maybe protect the couch from it's current occupant: a 120lb Wolf Hybrid.
She's seated lengthwise on the couch, like she had also been watching PBS Newshour, posed like a sphynx. She's close in wieght to the man, and definitely taller than him if she stands up, with a dark gray agouti coat and a bit of white countershading from the trace of domestic dog in her. She's turned her head to the viewer, bright yellow eyes focused on them, and the fur of her head and neck haloed with the sunset. She is pleased to see the veiwer, which means most of the teeth in her lower jaw are visible in her canine grin. The effect is very menacing if you don't know her.
Clutched rather neatly between her front paws is a second, identical martini glass, only not nearly quite so full as the old man's.

ᯓ★ part one ── part two ── part three (coming soon)
Tumblr media
The week at Giedi Prime went by so fast that you hardly noticed any of it. The first day had been a bit slow and tedious, but the ones that followed turned out to be more than agreeable and enjoyable, Feyd-Rautha had been very concerned about keeping you entertained and as comfortable as possible, showing you every corner of the palace and walking you around the city.
But for now, you were back at your home for the last visit you would have there before becoming a Harkonnen. Feyd was staying close to you through all the reunion, naturally, diplomatically greeting your family.
“You met his cannibal lovers yet?” Paul's voice echoed inside your head between Feyd's conversations with Duke Leto, your gaze drifting to your brother in absolute alarm, horrified at the question and relieved that, so far, the answer was negative.
“There are rumors that tell how his concubines feed on the hearts of his dead opponents.” Your brother propelled you with the oh-so-cute information about your future husband. “The bastard has not one, but three. I guess you'll have to battle it out with them for his love, that was Duncan said.”
“Stop it, don't be an idiot.” You snapped back at him, averting your gaze from him to Feyd-Rautha, who was conversing ever so formally with Lady Jessica now.
You couldn't imagine him eating of human flesh, nor fucking three different women at the same time. Although, rumors always started from something and during the few times you had been able to get inside Feyd's head, you hadn't seen anything that was remotely pretty or light.
Paul's words managed to resonate in your head, lingering between the walls with a sense of suspicion.
Maybe that was why he never showed you the intimacy of his chambers... because on his bed lay three women compliantly awaiting for his attention and lust.
For some reason, the false image of him fucking them, bodies intertwined and interlinked, voices whimpering and moaning, made you feel respulsive, your guts twisting like a serpent.
You didn't want to believe it was jealousy, but again, your mind never wanted you to believe anything at all.
The palace of the Atreides stood majestically between rocky mountains, with the golden sunlight falling beautifully on the grayish stone walls, bringing in a warm afternoon. Rising magnificently behind your back, standing like a rocky guardian.
Your gaze was on Feyd-Rautha as you walked together along the outskirts balconies of the castle, your greenish dress swaying in the sea breeze, as did your hair, which you wore unusually loose that day, the sweet smell of it had him crazy.
“Do you like it?” You asked him after a few moments of silence, with a hint of a smile that Feyd noticed as he turned to look at you, noticing as well how you waited expectantly for his opinion of your home, which he knew you always held close to your heart.
After a second, he nodded his head, looking at you intently. “I do.”
His blue eyes, which looked as clear as ever under the natural glow of the place followed you as you walked beside him, keeping himself close to you, he could feel the natural warmth of your body and the sweet smell of your scent.
It was the first time you saw his eyes showing their true color, for back in his home, they rarely reflected so much brightness and his orbs glowed so beautifully in the sunlight. They possessed the most beautiful shade of blue, reminding you of the ocean, of home.
“It's nothing like my home.” Feyd-Rautha added in a more amused, lighter tone of voice, with a tiny smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, lowering his gaze to the ground, noting how the grass softened each of his steps on it.
“Obviously. Caladan is everything that Giedi Prime and Arrakis are not.” You answered him, snorting the words out with a soft chuckle that was carried away by the wind, turning your head to look at him once you stopped at the edge of a greenish cliff after descending one of the many rocky staircases that rose up through the hills.
The sea stretched into the immensity of the horizon and the water was uncommonly calm, waves lapping the shore relentlessly. It was a calm and peaceful scene out there, quite the opposite of what you felt inside, as you felt a tempest of emotions raging in your soul.
“Have you been with someone else like this?”
There was another one of your little questions again.
And he pondered the answer, dragging his eyes as blue as the ocean itself in front of them, back to you.
But Feyd-Rautha was rather certain that you already knew the answer, that you already had it, you could tell by the way he looked at you and the way he addressed you. Because it was enough to be clear that he had never been this way with anyone before, he had never spoken to anyone like this and he had never been so pleased to be in someone's company, basically in his entire life.
“The only people I've ever had this close to me are my family or my enemies, neither of whom I think entertain my presence very much.” Was his reply, honest and respectful. His husky voice, in contrast to the graceful sea breeze was a pleasant and comforting noise to you.
His words were masked with a touch of amusement, as he used to do in the last days when he spoke to you, it seemed as if you brought back that inner child he had, a stranger who felt increasingly closer.
But even using that tone, his eyes told you that he was not lying, that he was giving you the pure truth.
Yet, somehow you were not satisfied with his response. And he knew it.
“Have you been with other women?”
Feyd drew in a breath, half-opening his lips, air hissing between his teeth.
“So I'm assuming you've heard about the rumors about me?”
And there he was, answering you with another question to challenge you back, to play with your head as he had grown to love to do during the short time you had been in each other's company. Your conversations always ended up being a game of back and forth, a game of a tension that would be cut with the least sharp blade.
“My future wife likes to guide what she believes by mere rumors?” He pressed further.
And as always, you exhaled the air held inside you, twisting your head slightly, looking at him with incredulous eyes. “These are not rumors, Feyd —I've seen it.”
His blue eyes narrowed as he walked closer to you, expression both intrigued and yet defiant. “What do you mean you've seen it? Don't play games with me now, woman.”
“Don't threaten me, man,” You squinted your eyes as you pronounced the word like poison, almost coming out like an insult. “I'm not afraid of you.” With your own response to his defiance, this immediately silenced him, stopping him in his tracks right in front of you, as you stepped closer to him, your presence growing menacing now. You were really upset. “Do you think that when I marry you I will allow you to go on screwing around with them?”
“You met them and they threatened you?” Feyd asked in a low tone, maintaining a calm demeanor, though he wanted to know if any of his concubines had dared to even glance at you during your stay at Giedi Prime. His orbs reflected a sensation that ranged to a murderous, bloodthirsty urge, not at you, but at anyone who was stupid enough to threaten you. “Tell me, did they say anything to you?”
You crooked your head very slightly, looking genuinely offended by his questioning.
“Do you think I would allow any of your concubines —anyone at all— to threaten me and go on with their lives?” You replied instantly, looking him up and holding his gaze, as brave as ever. You seemed to be the only one in the whole universe who dared to answer him and put him in his place. And he was loving it, he felt the desire to be broken by you, to let you destroy all his walls and reach his soul. “They'd already be dead if they did.”
An amused grimace twisted his lips, gaze darkening with pride, desire even, approving of your words, feeling suddenly small under the vastness of your aura, dark and menacing now.
“Don't worry about them.” His words sounded humorous this time, just as his fingers laced between yours, he gave your hand a gentle squeeze, an attempt to reassure you. “Soon I'll be all yours, sweet girl.”
You frowned your brow slightly, as did your lips, still looking offended. He squinted his eyes, hissing as he realized he had said the wrong thing, yet again.
“I'm not sweet.” Your hand released his, your annoyance rising with the seconds. “I'm not one of your pets you can treat as sweet, Feyd-Rautha.”
He raised his brow, following you with his gaze, puzzled, as you turned around and began to walk back to the palace, turning your back on him and leaving him to talk alone.
“One of my pets?” He questioned, with that amused grimace plastered on his mouth again, as he began to follow your hurried footsteps, his pale face reflected a blend of frustration and irritation. “Do you think I would treat you like one of my pets?”
His voice sounded so husky and frustrated and delicious that you felt like just stopping and jumping on him right there. But your own self-respect and pride were more important, you wanted to believe.
Seeing that you weren't planning to stop, Feyd tried to stop you by grabbing your arm, but his hand remained over your smooth skin, with no major result in trying to calm you down, so he cleared his voice, making the attempt to be as cautious and reassuring with his words.
“I think you must understand that desire and lust is something we all possess, my lady, not just men.”
He was physically relieved when you stopped to be able to look at him, with his hand lingering on your forearm.
But your eyes were still dark with discomfort when they met his once again. “I won't be one of your girls, Feyd-Rautha.”
His lips parted, brow furrowing slightly, his voice kept low. “(Y/N)—”
He stood right there, utterly speechless, with his voice caught in his throat, watching you walk away from him, striding with steps that exuded pure anger up to your rocky palace. His hand dropped from your arm and returned to his side, now far from your warmth and heartbeat.
It took Feyd-Rautha a couple of minutes to pull himself together, sighing heavily, a small smirk curving his lips as he began to walk the path back to the Atreides' palace.
He was absolutely thrilled to discover this side of you that he hadn't previously seen. You were truly frightening and he was loving it.
Tumblr media
By the time the moon was bright in the center of the dark sky, shining through the thickness of black, a pair of soft knocks sounded against your chamber door and you didn't have to use any hint of your skills to know who it was.
He looked at you with those now dark blue eyes from across the threshold, arm resting lightly against the grayish stone. He looked strangely troubled, look shadowed.
“Have you always been such a perfect seductress?”Feyd asked you just as you made a questioning gesture with your head. “How many men have you seduced like this?”
You looked him up with doubting eyes, frown slightly furrowed. “What are you talking about—”
He interrupted you in a scratchy voice, fearing somehow, that someone else might hear him, that someone else might witness how desperately vulnerable he was being, for you.
“You've broken me. All I can think about is you.”
Feyd took one step forward and you one step back, so you two moved as if you were in a kind of dance until he eventually entered your chambers, pulling the door shut behind him.
“I can't handle not touching you. It's a rule I'm on the brink of breaking for you.” He whispered and your breath caught in your throat, exhaling air in a stuttering gasp. “And I should— I'm expected to be a gentleman. I'm supposed to behave myself, keep my composure. But you… you are driving me crazy, woman, you play with my head, you've bewitched me.”
You could really see that he was trying to explain himself for you, attempting to articulate everything that was going through his head and you knew that it was very unusual for him to speak out loud about his feelings. And now, you were the one who couldn't say anything at all.
It was true, the most important rule your mother had emphasized to you was that you were not to get involved sexually, or in any way with your betrothed, until the very day of the actual wedding, as that particular night was meant to be consumed.
“Y—you shouldn't be here, my lord.” You managed to utter out after a few hesitant stutters, feeling your back brush against the wall and having him in front of you, trapping you against his body. He seemed to be struggling against his body, against his desire and instinct, hesitant hands twitching at his sides, nearly reaching out instinctively for your body.
“You were so bold back there talking back to me, what happened now? Aw, what happened, pretty?” He asked in a more teasing tone of voice, holding your gaze. “We could put that mouth of yours to good use then, hm?”
“My lord—”
“Call me by name.” He demanded, he begged you, whispering.
“Feyd...” You named him so obediently that it made him smile darkly to himself. “Someone might listen.”
“Are you afraid that someone will find out that two people who are getting married desired each other?” Feyd asked, half-closing his eyes and breathing out through his nose, as if trying to compose himself, trying to convince himself more than you. “There is nothing wrong for a husband to crave for his wife, right?”
You gulped, and his eyes instantly landed on your throat, watching as bone and muscle moved beneath the flesh, his tongue twitched, aching with all his will to be able to just lick the skin of your neck.
“I guess not.” Your voice trembled even when you were trying extra hard to sound confident and certain. “But we are not yet husband and wife.”
“Soon...” Feyd muttered, almost as if he was making a promise, uttering a vow.
His eyes closed as he finally rested his forehead against yours and suddenly, you were breathing from the same air. His trembling breath was warm against your lips and his scent was everything you could have ever craved... and it felt so familiar that your soul seemed to shudder, like something you had smelled all your life, something that had haunted you even in dreams, forever present but yet always so far distant.
“Can I touch you?” Feyd breathed out against your mouth after a few moments.
You didn't answer him verbally, instead you slowly took his hands between yours, fingers placing them in parallel against his, allowing you to feel every inch of the imprint drawn on his fingertips as you dragged yours across his palm, both feeling the size difference.
Then, you rested his big, calloused hands on your waist, allowing him to touch and hold you as much as he wanted and to permit him to do so, a single sight on your eyes was all it took.
He hissed as his hands molded the curve of your waist and instantly afterward drew you into his body, pulling you fully against the wall behind you. Your back arched instinctively and you gasped too, so softly, your chest pressed against his with the motion.
“Touch me.” Feyd-Rautha pleaded, he had never pleaded so... desperately for anything ever in his life.
That was your allowance for your hands reaching for his body, out of control, one making a slow path up through his strong arms while the other rested against his chest, feeling the beat of his heart under your palm, beating echoing your own. Your fingertips gently patted his muscles, recognizing his skin and his body. You got the abrupt urge to claim it as yours. To claim him.
You felt yourself blushing at all the overly imaginative and lustful images of him invading your head.
His nose brushed against yours, nuzzling it affectionately, still without opening his eyes, as if he were in some kind of dream from which he didn't want to wake up. His fingers caressed your belly, tracing a slow caress across your entire abdomen upward, while his other hand gripped your waist, holding you against him.
His touch triggered an immediate reaction across your flesh, skin shivering under his fingers.
Feyd whispered your name like a prayer, like a thirsty man, crawling and screaming for water.
“I'm trying to be good...”
“Don't be.” You whispered back, almost begging, looking up at him, gaze meeting his once he opened his eyes. “Please, Feyd—”
Then finally his lips landed on yours, initiating a kiss that you both craved so much, maybe he more than you for the way he brought you close to him, almost possessively, like a mad man, almost as if he was imprinting his mark on you, marking you for whoever had the courage to look at you.
He let himself sink in the way your lips fit against yours, in the warmth your body offered him, in the all too familiar sensation he could sense in every single fiber of his core from the kiss, your kiss.
Feyd-Rautha felt like a roaring beast just unleashed, ruthless and insatiable, just like when he walked into the arena, eager to kill, rooting against his opponents —and now he was rooting for you, to be near you, to intertwine his soul with yours, to claim you as his own.
And claiming you he was, his scent covered you all over now, making you feel a burning sensation in the pit of your stomach, throbbing crotch, blood seething like an infernal flare. Anyone who came near you would not only smell you, but him too, on every inch of your body. His hands roamed just under your breasts, rubbing across your ribcage and sliding down your back, fingers just barely grazing your ass, pressing you tightly against him in desperation, grasping and squeezing as much of your tender flesh as they could.
Your own palms roamed up his chest, caressing his broad shoulders, all the way up to his neck, tugging him closer to you in desperate motions, impossibly close.
When your bodies begged for oxygen, you broke the passionate kiss, leaving you both breathless. He kissed you once more, allowing you to breathe just for a few seconds before all you breathed was him. He wanted to become your oxygen, something indispensable to you, something you needed to live with, a necessity.
“You're the only one.” Feyd-Rautha mumbled out as his hot and soft lips trailed down a wet path all the way to your neck, tracing the line of your jaw with sloppy kisses, each time his lips pulled back from your skin a wet noise echoed and filled the room, making you gasp.
You could feel the way his lips were modulating each word against your skin, as if using a language so intimate and so tight that it took your breath away. A language known and used just between the two of you.
With desirous eyes he looked at the dark crimson mark he'd left on your throat before raising them across your flushed face, his hands cradling your jaw, thumbs caressing your skin tenderly.
“When my uncle gave me the announcement that I was to marry you, I kicked them all out.” He continued to explain, pecking your lips a couple of times before kissing each cheek, your forehead, your eyelids, your nose, every single feature of your entire face, with the utmost care and adoration.
No one had ever looked at you the way he was looking at you right now.
Feyd rasped out a small chuckle, breath warm tickling against your nose. “And by kicking them out I mean I killed them.”
His comment didn't surprise you at all, in fact, it didn't even provoke a reaction in you. During the week you had been in his company, you had already gotten used to Feyd-Rautha's -almost cruel- honesty and sassy remarks, you were just starting to get used to his very eccentric and unique attitude. Because the na-Baron's personality was something that was most captivating to you, he was so different yet so similar to you.
“Of course.” You replied, trying to hold back that dark grin on your lips, an action that caused him to kiss you once more, his attention was on your mouth the whole time as you spoke to him in that tone of voice. “I would expect nothing less from the Feyd-Rautha and for my future husband.”
Again he rested his forehead against yours and you were the one who kissed his lips this time. It had become a reassuring habit in a span of less than five minutes for both of you.
“I can't do anything to you until we get married, my uncle would find out otherwise. I have —we have— to behave, my love.”
He seemed to read your mind this time, or maybe it was the way you were looking at him, biting your lower lip gently, eyes darkened with desire, silently begging him to just take you right there against the wall when he called like that.
Perhaps Feyd-Rautha was a hopeless romantic just like you or he simply desired you in ways that went beyond mere sex or plain lust.
“Are you afraid of him?” You softly asked him, your fingers stroking the back of his neck, feeling the smoothness of his skin. Your fingertips followed the trail of one of his veins marked on his neck, making him gasp lightly.
“Have you seen him?” Feyd responded with another question, a curved little smile on his lips, his tone of voice directed pure sarcasm. “I don't think I'm in such a position as to challenge the Baron.”
You nodded your head, fingers stroking his cheekbones now, tapping the moles that spread across his face affectionately. “He's terrifying.”
Your heart seemed to melt as you watched him close his eyes and lean against your hand, kissing the palm in action.
“Mhm...” Feyd hummed, watching you attentively, as if he was memorizing every inch of your face. Suddenly, his expression changed to one of amusement.
“Were you seriously jealous of my darlings?”
Your heart seemed to drop to your stomach and burn with your guts as you heard the nickname fall from his mouth.
“Call them that again and I'll cut your throat.” You murmured against his lips, kissing them slowly before pulling away from his body, looking up at him with dark, yet playful eyes, your hand roaming across his chest until it fell to your side as you stepped away. Then you made your way towards your bed with a very slow pace, under the attentive gaze of his azure eyes following every movement of your hips.
His heart —apparently non-existent until then— was pounding like crazy inside his chest as his lips parted, for once again you had left him speechless.
That was living proof that you were simply made for him. And he for you.
And maybe that just meant you were each other's weakness, people would say so.
But he felt just invincible in your presence, as if your company made him behold the whole universe, gave him the power of the all galaxy at hand, making him feel like the only man in existence. Your man.
Feyd-Rautha had never felt so desperate to make you his wife and finally call you his.

Since the dawn of time, you and Luke Castellan have been best friends. Attached at the hip since birth, the two of you have always been close. He was the one who helped you conquer your most intimidating challenges, whether that be the nervousness due to the first day of school or a Minotaur vigorously hunting you down.
And you assisted him, too. On those sleepless nights due to haunting nightmares, you lay beside him, comforting him through every scared shiver. It had always been Luke and Y/N, two peas in a pod, destined to spend eternity together.
Now, you both reside in Camp Half-Blood, eagerly awaiting your next adventure. You loved your time at the summer camp, whether it was tending to the young children or paddle boarding on the smooth and crystal blue lake that glimmered as sunlight passed through. It was thrilling to live such a beautiful life with the people you loved most.
It all started when you waltzed into the infirmary at fourteen, hurt and confused, with Luke and Annabeth by your side. The journey to get here was long and painful, losing one of your best friends, Thalia, in the process. Your head throbbed as Chiron explained the basis of everything, since this whole Greek God situation could be hard to process.
Poseidon, the God of the Sea, claimed you with ease the moment he saw you lingering by the lake all day. With Hermes, it took him a lot longer to accept Luke. However, you cheered him up when no one else could, lighting up his whole world, and no matter how bummed he was about his absent father, your illuminating smile shifted his mood instantly.
You’ve been a year-rounder since then; the world is too dangerous for you to venture off. Every once in a blue moon, however, you wish that just for one year, the monsters would stop prowling and you could explore the cities that tourists swarmed on a regular basis. Other times, you were happy to live in the warm solace you referred to as camp. The companions made inside the safe haven were incomparable to all the mysteries that roamed outside.
Around a year ago, a small blond boy arrived, his cluelessness mirroring yours when you first stumbled in. As you gave him the standard tour, something seemed to be off. The stories he shared of devious monsters attacking reminded you of your childhood, and a feeling of suspicion and concern arose.
Your wariness was only confirmed when the golden trident floated above Percy’s head. Sure, you were excited to have a younger brother, but you knew the dangers the life of a forbidden child contained. So, you made it your honorary job to protect him no matter the circumstance. You taught him how to surf and how to use his powers for the greater good.  And so a magnificent connection was formed, with you and him bonding like full siblings. He loved hearing all of the gossip between the older campers, and you loved when he updated you on how his friends were doing. Not to mention the chaotic board game nights you and he shared with Annabeth and Luke. There were almost no hidden secrets, for you told each other everything. Which is why you felt horrible about the massive personal detail you left out of your weekly yapping session.
You and Luke had been dating for three months. You had liked each other for a while, but eventually the overly flirty comments and long stares got the best of him, and he confessed . One breezy night, he asked you to meet him on the waterfront before bed. You obliged, stepping out into the chilly weather to find hundreds of blooming flowers (courtesy of the Demeter kids) arranged neatly in a heart. It was cheesy, but it was the exact type of movie love you were looking for.
That chilly, moonlit evening, you decided it was best to keep your relationship hidden from Percy and, for that matter, most of the camp. Close friends, such as Clarisse and Chris, knew, but that was only because you went on frequent double dates with the pair. But that doesn’t mean others didn’t bat an eye at your overly friendly relationship. You had almost been caught multiple times, despite Luke being the son of Hermes, who was known for his sly nature.
The first time it happened was entirely Luke's fault. You and him had just finished archery training and were walking to lunch, where the rest of camp resided. As soon as you approached the bustling picnic tables, you were dragged off by the Aphrodite kids, who wanted your help with some fashion emergencies. That left Luke with Chris and Percy, along with some other campers from Hermes cabin.  -
“How was archery?” Asked an unclaimed kid, who Luke had little interaction with. They had small talk every once in a while, but not enough for him to know any personal details about his life.
“It was fine. You know, my girlfrie-“
Luke was lucky looks couldn’t kill, because with the way Percy and Chris were staring at him, he would have been six feet under already. He tried his best to salvage the situation, continuing on as if nothing had happened.
“My friend hit three bullseyes in a row. It was really impressive.” He finished, staring down as he pushed around his mushy broccoli with a flimsy spork, hoping to avoid the glares of his, let's face it, practically brother-in-law. Lucky for him, Percy shrugged it off, and the topic was quickly changed.
-
The second time, however, was most certainly your mistake.
-
The dull light from the moon provided little protection from the consuming jet black sky. You and Luke had to sneak out after hours often, which was one of the major downsides to a private relationship.
“No!” You playfully shouted, trying to juke him out as you ran through the rocky sand of the shoreline. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), your boyfriend was the most athletic kid on camp. He easily caught you before throwing you over his shoulder and carrying you to the navy blue lake.
You gently punched his back through strained laughter, gasping for oxygen. But as he attempted to step into the cold winter waters, you used your powers to manipulate the sea so it avoided his path. And with one quick swoop of your hand, he was drenched with the cooling solution, and you remained dry.
He set you down, aggressively shaking the water from his head. “I forgot you were like the princess of the sea.” He said. Your harmonious giggles caused him to grin from ear to ear.
“Yeah, maybe not the best choice on your end. C’mon, Percy probably has a shirt for you.” You replied, interlocking your fingers and skipping back to your cabin.
You sneakily creaked the door open, hand over your mouth to try and hush the laughs that spilled out. Percy was sound asleep, snoring softly as you made your way to his dresser, rummaging through the array of neon orange shirts.
“Here. Mr. D gave him the wrong size by accident a while ago.” You whispered toward him before dragging him back out with the fabric still in hand. Once outside, he slid his soaking shirt off, carefully placing it next to your clothes that hung on the drying line. After giving him the t-shirt, you kissed him goodnight and headed back to get some much-needed sleep.
The next day, Percy awoke you with violent shakes, causing you to twist and groan with confusion.
“Get up. It’s like eight already. Don’t you have counselor activities to tend to too?” He said.
You shot up in a panic, staring down at the clock that read 8:03 a.m., almost 20 minutes after your morning duties. With an exasperated sigh, you slipped out of bed and rushed to grab a clean t-shirt from outside.
Still dazed, you grabbed a familiar shirt off the clothing line and rushed back inside, quickly changing in hopes of escaping Chiron’s anger for your unpunctuality.
While you happened to make it to breakfast on time, you failed to notice how unusually long the shirt was or how the tag on the back had the initials “L.C.” loosely scribbled on them. However, everyone else noticed your strange outfit.
“Whose shirt is that? Why is it so big?” Percy was immediately questioned as you sat down with your food tray in hand.
“What do you mean?" You asked, glancing back down at your lengthy attire, before realizing your mistake. “Oh! I spilled something on my only clean shirt, so I borrowed that old one from you. Sorry.” You salvaged, and others seem to believe you.
You made eye contact with Luke from across the table, growing flustered instantly due to the anxiety-inducing incident.
-
The third and final time might have been your fault, too. But by then, the two of you were fed up of keeping it secret.
-
“Awe, look at the little lovebirds!”
Clarisse voiced as she shakily pointed a digital camera towards Luke and you, who were engaged in your own conversation.
Gorgeous flowers blossomed around the couple, ranging in various colors and sizes. Laughs rang through the air as Chris, Clarisse, Luke, and you all hung out one hazy camp afternoon.
You looked up at the girl, smiling brightly as you twirled a pink flower in your palm. Grabbing Luke’s jaw with your soft, freshly manicured hands and turning his head to look in their direction, Chris pulled out a Polaroid camera, snapping a photo of the teens.
As the black picture slid out of the small box, Chris handed it to Clarisse, who shook it with force in order to see the image fully.
“Do you want me to take one of you two?” You asked, snatching the camera from Chris’s hands and pointing it towards them.
They posed, and the photo turned out super cute. You stared down at your frilly ruffle socks that stuck out of your high-top navy blue Converse. The toes of the shoes had been decorated with the signatures of all of your friends.
“It’s getting late; wanna head back?” Chris suggested the others let out a groan. He was right; they had camp duties to attend to, but being wrapped in their loved one’s embrace was so much more appealing.
You hopped up reluctantly, Luke grabbing your hand as you took the scenic route back to the cabins, the other couple straying a different way.
“I love going out with them.” You declared, breaking the silence and dramatically swinging your intertwined arms.
“Me too. It makes me feel like we’re just regular people.” He responded, smiling at her with such genuineness.
“Maybe in another universe.” You replied, sighing as you let out a light giggle.
“Speaking of which,” you continued. “Do you think we’re soulmates in every universe?”
“Duh. We’re probably Gwen and Spiderman in one.”
“Totally.” They grinned, enjoying the comfort they brought each other in the chaos that was their life.
After hours of training, you slipped back into Cabin 3, taking the photo out of your back pocket and placing it on your bed. You smiled at the sweet situation before Luke burst in, calling you to the bonfire. Obliviously, the Polaroid was left open on your bed, exposed to the world.
You basked in the warmth of Apollo’s kids songs, zoned out while mindlessly swaying to the beat of the guitar. Luke, who was sitting beside you, noticed you staring off into space and questioned it.
“Whatcha thinking about?”
“I wanna tell Percy about us.” You replied, looking into his eyes to detect his emotions. He seemed surprised at first, but his expression changed to one more supportive a few seconds later.
“I agree. I mean, he might try to literally drown me, but I hate lying to him.”
“Me too.” You finished, turning back to face the singer. However, you instead met eyes with a furious-looking Percy, holding a small black rectangle in his hands. Your heart stopped, and you leaped up to rush and explain, Luke following behind. The young blond stormed off in the other direction.
“Percy, please listen. We couldn’t tell you because we knew how you’d react. I know you’re protective and all, and I love that about you, but Luke's a good guy, and we both know that.” You started, praying to the gods that this would work out.
“I barely even know him!“ Percy lied straight through his teeth, trying to come up with a rational reason for his anger.
“Are you kidding? You’ve known him for a year now.” You sassed back.
“How long have you been dating?” He threw away his last point, knowing he had already lost that argument.
“Three months, I think.” You whispered out, ashamed.
“Three months, and you didn’t think to let me, your little brother, know?” He screamed, speed-walking back to his cabin, irritated.
You let out a sigh, facing Luke. Sadness coated your glossy eyes before seeping out onto your cheeks. Your boyfriend was quick to wipe the tears with his calloused thumb, comforting you.
“Hey, he’ll come around eventually. Let him sleep it off.” He whispered, embracing you in a tight hug. You buried your head into the crook of his neck, clamping your eyes shut.
As the sun rose the next morning and Percy stepped out of the cabin, you and Luke were waiting outside, prepared with a whole spiel about your relationship. To your astonishment, he greeted you with a smile and spoke up first.
“I’m sorry about last night. While I think this whole concept of you dating Luke is insane, he’s probably the best it’s going to get, so I approve.” You smiled back, a sigh of relief escaping your throat.
“And I’m sorry we didn’t tell you. It’s just-“
“Don’t. It’s fine, really. Just absolutely no PDA in front of me.” Percy stated, a look of disgust appeared as he said the last sentence. Both of you agreed to his simple terms.
“I’ve gotta go to the arena. I’ll see you later.” Luke declared, and you nodded, ruffling your fingers through his curls before he departed. Once he was a solid distance away, Percy leaned in and whispered to you.
“Really? Luke Castellan? That's the best you could do?”

Xavier was worried, scared even. He's pacing back and forth in his room. Having second thoughts whether he'll go down to hell and look for his beloved mother or just wait for her here.
What he's afraid of is what'll happen if his mother sees his father. His father already caused so much emotional pain to her. Xavier cannot imagine what kind of heartbreaking pain she'll experience once she sees her husband.
Xavier looks outside his window, rays of setting sunlight peaks through the white curtains, giving his room an orange like glow. He runs his hand through his light blond locks in frustration. He can't wait a second longer to look for her.
Xavier wonders if his parents already met down there, the idea makes his blood boil.
The idea of his father suddenly back to their life makes his skin crawl. Xavier knows how much influence his father had on his mother's heart.
He sighs, a long exhale filled with tension and worry. It's already been a few hours now, what could she be possibly doing down there? He thought to himself.
With a small huff, he fixed his uniform. That's it, I'm going down there. He took a deep breath, snapped his fingers together and opened a portal that leads to hell.
He steps inside the portal, summoning his three pairs of wings so he can fly down. Xavier hopes that his mother is alright.
The portal closed and the angel who once stood inside his large magnificently large white room was no more.
Tumblr media
Lucifer returned back to the palace, teleporting back to his bedroom. A sigh of relief escaping his lips as he saw that [Y/n] was still passed out asleep. His eyes softened, sitting at the corner of the bed, in the empty space beside her sleeping form.
He lets out a long exhale, a tired sigh. He gazed down at her sleeping and tired face, his heart ached. Clearly torn between two women. Lilith, his wife of many millennia and [Y/n], his first wife and the angel who stood by his side and supported him despite his neglect.
He regrets it, genuinely. He was young and stupid, he and [Y/n] got married when they were in their 200's. Romance wasn't common back then, nothing to learn from. The only love they were taught was loving heaven and its creator. Romantic love barely existed during those times as every angel was busy with their respective duties.
He loves [Y/n] genuinely and he was wrong for not upholding his vows to her.
He gently swept away some strands of falling hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear. A small smile on his face once his eyes landed on his hand, devoid of any rings. He finally let go of his wedding ring, the one he used for Lilith. He didn't wear his wedding ring—the one he used for [Y/n]—as he feels like he doesn't deserve it.
Lucifer remembers that he didn't want to remove his first wedding ring with his first wife but Lilith insisted he should.
Lilith was envious, because after so many years he still wore it and led to some arguments.
He can't just forget about [Y/n], he doesn't have the heart to. Her heartbroken face is forever embedded into his memories, her empty and blank face as she stared at him and Lilith when they were banished.
A look in her face told him that she was tired, tired of waiting for him, tired of his second priority.
He should've been better, he should've treated her better. He should've been her perfect husband just like how she was his perfect wife.
His love for Lilith is slowly disappearing, ever since they've begun arguing. Their beliefs and ideals no longer match with one another.
He accidentally mentioned [Y/n]'s name during their heated arguments, which causes Lilith to be mad at him and eventually left, leaving divorce papers for him to sign on his desk.
He tried so hard to bury his love for [Y/n], he tried so hard to forget her as he knew he wouldn't see her again and most likely didn't want to see him either.
A single tear runs down his rosy red cheek, breath hitching. Emotions are finally spilling forth, his love and heart ache that he bottled up for so many eons finally erupting.
“So this is how it feels,” he sang softly, careful not to wake her up. His voice broke as he sang ever so softly, “To fall in love with you, to always think of you, to always dream of you,”
He made a mistake in his decisions, he admits that. He should've done things better. Choosing Lilith over her was a mistake, “Yes, it hurts so much to fall in love with.”
He sighs softly, choking on his words as he sings his unspoken feelings. His hand trembled with emotions, “Sorry for leaving like that, you don't deserve to get caught in my mess.”
He was a troublemaker, he didn't want her to get caught in his mess but whatever silly idea he had, she was always ready to listen and comfort him when the elders rejected it. He gently held her hand, feeling how cold her skin was, he cups it with his hand and blew some warm air to it to warm her hand. He used to do this when they were back in heaven.
He gently laid down her hand back to the bed and back to her side, a small smile on his face before he let out a sad sigh, “Loving me is just so difficult, I don't know how I should tell you that.” he admits softly, he knows how tiring he can be, he knows... He had to deal with himself after all. He sighs, he's been doing so much of it lately.
“I've fallen for somebody else, happened so quickly, I lost myself.” he admitted, he realized years ago that he was only infatuated with Lilith, when the honeymoon phase was over, arguments started.
“A shadow of you drifts along by my window or did I imagine that?” he could remember when he would spend all by himself at the kitchen, drinking after a fight with Lilith and during his drunken delusion, he would often see figures of [Y/n] comforting him.
A shaky breath leaves past his lips, eyes tired and dull. He looks at the sleeping once more, she looked so peaceful.
He wonders if he should transfer her to the hotel, he needs to check up on Charlie and the others too. With a heavy sigh, he gently lifted her up into his arms once more—effortlessly carrying her. A sense of deja vu hits him, a memory of the time he carried her like this after they got married, [Y/n] happily laughing in his arms while he grins at her as he held her. Times were simple back then.
A single tear drop, running down his blemish free pale skin, the droplet running past his rosy red spots of his cheeks.
He took a deep breath, summoning a portal that leads to an empty vacant room of the hotel, he steps in with her still asleep on his arms. The portal closes behind them as the room shifts into one Hazbin Hotel's newest guest rooms.
He gently walked towards the bed, gently laying her down comfortably, making sure to tuck her in.
Finally, he slowly gave distance between them. Standing just a few feet away from the bed, a sad look on his face, “This is how it feels, to fall in love with you, to always think of you, to always dream of you,”
Seeing her after all these years, ignited the fading flame of his love for her. Adding gasoline to a flame.
“Yes, it hurts so much to fall in love with you.” he silently admitted, she doesn't hurt him, he knows it was his fault. He made everything complicated, his decision caused harm to her and their son, to these sinners. He made a reckless decision of abandoning her, giving both of them pain in the process.
He doesn't deserve her. Not after the things he's put her through.
He thought sadly, before turning his back away from her, walking out of the room. He took one last look at her sleeping form before eventually closing the door as he left the room.
The heels of his boots tapped against the dark red tiles of the hallway of the hotel as he walked towards his own room. He needs some time to process everything.
Tumblr media
Charlie wasn't expecting a visitor this soon after the extermination, she certainly didn't expect her visitor to be her half half brother, a frown on his face and a glare on his eyes. She would've mistaken him for her father if he didn't have [e/c] eyes and also if the boy wasn't ridiculously so tall.
Charlie smiled nervously, how could she not? Xavier was looking down on her literally with the same coldness in his eyes.
“Xavier... Hi! I didn't expect you to be here...” Charlie says nervously, waving at him.
Xavier just raised an eyebrow, clearly not interested in small talk, “Where is she?” he asked, voice cold and means business.
Charlie tilted her head, “Who...?” she asked, wondering who the older boy was referring to.
Xavier scoffed, [e/c] eyes narrowing down on the blonde girl as he crosses his arms together on his chest, “My mother,” he answered, a deadpan look on his face, “—She came down here a few hours ago, she should've been back by now.” he added, a worried tone on his voice. Xavier was beyond worried, his poor mother alone in this disgusting place—the realm his blood father ruled. He can't imagine the possibilities that could happen to her.
Charlie's eyes widened in realization, oh, the angel. Why didn't she realize it sooner? Of course he's referring to the passed out angelic woman. Charlie is slightly nervous about telling the older boy, but she has to, “She's resting, she suddenly passed out awhile ago....?” She says, nervously, avoiding Xavier's eyes.
Xavier's eyes widened, ears ringing as everything suddenly went numb. For a brief moment, it felt like he was alone once more, the scared little boy who begged for his mother's attention.
He could remember how close she was to him but for some reason, he couldn't reach her. His mother can barely look at him in the eyes without crying. He felt useless, pathetic for being born this way and caused his beloved mother so much pain. He failed, he failed, he failed, he failed, HE FAILED HER. He couldn't save her again.
Mom...? Where are you? Please... Don't leave me again...
Charlie's eyes widened when she sees a single tear slid down Xavier's cheek despite the boy's unchanging glare, Charlie though could notice how sad his eyes were.
“Xavier...?” She calls out to him, no response.
“Azrael... He looks so much like him... I... I can't... It hurts to look at him.” his mother sobbed on the unknown taller and black haired man's shoulders. Xavier grips his duck plushie, he was somehow fond of the animal. The little boy peaked through the small gap of the door to his mother's room, hoping for some comfort after a nightmare—he didn't expect to see his beloved mom crying about him and that made him freeze on the spot. He was a smart child after all, just like his father.
“[Y/n]... He's just a kid... He needs you...” Xavier heard the man say, he still has trouble saying his name. Was it Azwawel? Or Azrawel? He forgot. Xavier, despite being so young, barely six years old—suddenly felt so numb. He slowly walked away from his mother's room, dragging the duck plushie. It felt heavier than usual, his little arms too weak to hold it.
He felt his chest tighten, he couldn't breathe. Chest heaving up and down as he tries to catch his breath.
Charlie got even more worried as she saw him begin to hyperventilate, “Xavier! Hey, hey... Look at me.” She says softly, holding on to the arms of the shaking boy, the physical contact snapping him out of his trance as he quickly pulled his arms away from the girl.
“Do not touch me.” he hissed, glaring at Charlie, “Tell me where my mother is or I'll destroy this hotel just to find her.” he threatened, making Charlie's eyes widen in fear. She knows she can't fight him, let alone her friends aren't as powerful to fight an angelic being—a Seraphim.
“She's upstairs, resting... Just don't hurt anyone.” She stammers, giving way for the older boy to come inside the hotel. She knew as her father texted her about it.
Vaggie's eyes widened when she saw the angel walks in, she could feel the man's power as he entered the room. Suddenly, the room got colder. Vaggie summoned her spear but she saw Charlie crossing her arms into an 'X' while shaking her head. Vaggie hesitantly lowered her weapon as they all looked at each other, she had to grip Angel Dust's arm to stop the arachnid from doing stupid—thankfully, Angel Dust seemed to get the memo and closed his mouth. Husk had to hold Niffty to stop her from causing chaos again.
Charlie led him up the stairs to the second floor, the others watching as they disappeared from sight.
Tumblr media
Xavier's eyes widened as the door to where his mother was resting was opened, the first thing he saw was his mother's passed out form, lying down on the bed.
Xavier immediately kneeled down to his mother's side, holding her hand affectionately. What happened to her?
He looked angrily at Charlie, dull [e/c] eyes staring at bright red ones, “What did you do to her?” he asked, voice lowering and clearly pissed off. Charlie shakes her head, clearly afraid of him, “We didn't do anything! She suddenly just passed out on her own.” she explained and he just sighs, shaking away his thoughts.
‘They wouldn't just recklessly harm an angel, they couldn't land a hit on her if they tried. She must've overworked again.’ he thought to himself, sighing.
“Just leave us alone please? Now.” he ordered, Charlie flinched in fear but nodded and quickly left the room, making sure to close the door on her way out.
Xavier sighs, his shoulders dropping. It suddenly felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. His mother is his world, after all.
“It's going to be okay, mother. I am here for you, always.” he spoke softly, kissing his mother's hand before lowering it back down to the bed, hovering his hand over her sleeping form and began to heal her.
Tumblr media
Lucifer stood outside the door to where [Y/n] was resting, his hand hovering above the doorknob—shaking. Charlie just told him about the situation. His son is here, the son he didn't know who existed was here.
He took a deep breath, ‘You can do this, Lucifer... This is your chance to ask for forgiveness.’ he thought to himself before knocking first and then slowly twisted the doorknob, pushing it open.
It felt like he was looking at the mirror, it felt like he was looking at a reflection of himself—the reflection glaring at him, sharp [e/c] eyes glaring at him with so much hatred.
“You!” the boy growled, standing up from where he was kneeling.
Lucifer was taken aback from the boy's anger. It felt like he was looking at a past version of him, the past him who despised heaven who treated him so wrongfully.
“What are you doing here? Why do you have so much audacity to come here like you didn't do anything wrong?” the boy asked, his voice filled with so much distaste for his father.
Lucifer's eyes widened, words stuck in his throat. Say something!
With a heavy inhale and exhale, Lucifer looked at the glaring boy, trying to calm him down, “I know what I did and I... Want to apologize... For all the things I've done.” he said softly, stammering slightly. He's trying so hard not to show that he's beyond nervous.
Xavier's glare sharpened, who does this man think he is?! Did he think a mere apology can undo all the damage he has done to him and his mother.
“Who do you think you are?” he asked Lucifer mockingly, a cold look on his face. Lucifer just stood frozen on the spot.
“Just because you're the most beautiful being of all of creation doesn't mean you can have anything you want,” Xavier sneered, a mocking smile on his face, “Your title and power doesn't mean anything to me, how does it feel to be the most beautiful being in all of creation yet you are thoroughly despised by your own flesh and blood?” Xavier asked and suddenly Lucifer couldn't speak, his chest tightening at the harsh words his supposed son had said to him. His breath caught up on his throat.
“This face...?” Xavier says, his hand moving towards his own face, he glared at his birth father, “I despised it so much, it's horrendous.” he says flatly.
“I do not know what my mother sees in you,” he says, looking up and down on his father's frozen form—not moving a muscle, “All I see is an angel who failed to become what he needed to become. A failure, nothing more and nothing less.” he says sharply, [e/c] eyes dull and hollow as he gazes at dull red ones.
Lucifer felt the familiar sting in his eyes, he desperately willed himself not to cry. What a failure of a father he is. First Charlie, now it's.... He doesn't even know the boy's name, he remembered Charlie telling him, but he somehow forgot. Pathetic.
Xavier's lips were formed in a thin line, turning his back away from his supposed blood father. He still doesn't understand why his beloved mother loves his father so much. He's too afraid to ask. Too afraid of making her remember such painful memories. He'll wait for her to open up. They have so much time to heal, he'll wait. He could remember young him who wanted to meet his father so much, the young naive Xavier who admired his father—the father who created the very species he loved so much, ducks. Poor naive Xavier who finally learned the pain his father gave to his mother to point his mother can't look at him, her beloved son in the eyes.
With a shaky breath, finally letting go of the breath he took in. Xavier sighs, “I will be taking my mother back home, thank you for your hospitality.” Xavier murmured, gently lifting his mother into his arms with no effort.
Lucifer's eyes widened from what the boy has said, they're going to leave. He needs to do something, anything to earn their forgiveness.
“Wait..! Please let her recover mor—”
“Haven't you done enough damage already?” Xavier asked, his voice devoid of any emotions as he tilted his head slightly to look at his father, a single stray tear running down his pale cheeks, the single droplet running past the rosy red spot on his cheek.
Lucifer was taken aback once more, the King of Hell can see so much sadness, anger, and longing on the boy's eyes. Lucifer wanted to reach out to the boy, his fatherly instincts kicking in. His hand extending where the boy stood, pausing as he hesitated.
Even after all these years, sweet little Xavier is still somewhere inside him. The sweet naive Xavier who wanted a complete family, who wanted a father.
“I said what I said, she'll be going home and get proper treatment. I doubt hell is a appropriate place to treat an angel like her.” Xavier says flatly, clearly not open for any discussion left. His decision is final. Lucifer can only respect that, he owes it to them. Lucifer finally lowers his hand, regrettably so.
Xavier turned away from Lucifer once more, summoning a portal back to their home in heaven.
A bright golden light formed in thin air as a portal opened, Xavier stepped in with his mother in his arms. He dared not look back. He doesn't have any reason to.
The portal closes in. Lucifer was left alone standing in the guestroom, his first family gone in a blink of an eye.
He cried in anguish inside that room.
Tumblr media
He can hear his bones rattle against his skin as he dragged his body to his mother's bedroom, Xavier is incredibly exhausted. Physically, no. Emotionally and mentally? Yes, absolutely.
He is still carrying his mother in his arms, prioritizing her comfort over his.
Kicking the door open, he walked at the center of the room where his mother's bed was, gently laying her down. Making sure to tuck her in.
[Y/n] snuggled, against her blanket. Xavier smiled, a gentle yet strained smile on his face.
“I'll protect you mom, sleep well and dream well.” he says softly, planting a small kiss on his mother's forehead before eventually leaving the room.

Perfume. The carefully sealed envelope reeked of it, like the sweet smell of lavender with spice. The envelope containing the message looked like something you would find when getting an invitation to a ball or a wedding. The envelope was pristine, and the wax sealing it was done so perfectly without a single awkward edge.
It almost looked unnatural with how perfect it appeared. The thick beige parchment was cut evenly, and not a blot of ink strayed from the elegantly curved cursive words that looked like ribbons upon the page. Looks could be deceiving. It was beautiful, but as you might've already guessed, the interior didn't entirely match what was hidden beneath the surface.
To my darling player,
I am at fault and take full responsibility for my actions.
All I've ever wished for, was to admire you. You are the epitome of magnificence, divinity that I can only dream to one day achieve but knowing I will never truly reach. There's an otherworldly sort of allure to you, which drew me in far too close. Much like the man who enhanced himself with wings of wax, but flew too close to the sun so his wings melted and he met a terrible fate. You are the sun, and I was that reckless fool with fake wings.
I allowed myself to get too close, tainting your light with my imperfect presence. Your grace was the warm sunlight on my skin, when everything around me was a horrible darkness. To think, I attempted to put out that light. It was nearly diminished. For that, I should be burned. I'm sorry, so so sorry.
I've thought long and hard on what I could possibly say to you, what sort of response could be adequate enough considering what you mean to me and the delicate situation. It didn't take long for me to arrive to the answer: no response is fitting. It doesn't matter if I pen a letter long enough to rival the river of tears I shed, coat the envelope in gold and ink of silver, with a message that would have moved the seven themselves to weep. It does not change the betrayal that occurred. I betrayed the trust you gave me, and shattered it into millions of pieces. However, know that I'll be on my hands and knees piecing it back together again, even if the shards cause me to bleed, you are worth it.
The stabbing sensation on my skin would be nothing compared to the one in my heart that I feel when I consider the fact that you might despise me. There's nothing more I would want than to see your face, hold your hands and feel the warmth of your skin that's so unlike the coldness of your vessel. Requesting a meeting would be imperious, as I have no right to ask you of this. But if I could, I would love to see you and discuss what comes next, perhaps over lunch. This is just a thought, a wish of mine, but one you are not required to fulfill.
I'd love to believe that I know you and your vessel better than anyone else could even dream of understanding, but I know that is far from the truth. Even as I pampered and polished your precious doll, your secrets continue to escape me. Did you ever hear me, when I brushed and washed Yuu's hair? When I took their freezing cold hands and painted their nails? When kneeled down in front of them to polish their shoes? When I adorned the best luxuries of brand accessories on their body?
I would kneel down to no one else.
There was always this wish, a dream of mine, that one day I might perhaps one day get to pamper you. Not Yuu. But you. Is that a scandalous desire?
Your hands would be warm, and I would hold them as I file your nails. Your arm wouldn't be so rigid and mechanical, you could actually extend it as I slather a creamy scented lotion along your skin. And if you do desired, I could lift your head and apply lipstick to your lips... This is just the process I commonly used while your vessel was under my care.
Although, I would gladly take up the responsibility of nursing you back to health, or any other role you would give me. There are countless things I can accomplish for you. I commonly deal in potent poisons, but I can just as well deal in healing and comforting. I'm skilled in self-defense and various forms of magic, so I can be your companion to protect you from everything that would wish you harm. You know of my business in acting and singing, so even if you wanted nothing else I could be there to entertain or serenade you. I only wish to be with you again, even though I know I'm underserving. I'm selfish.
If you want nothing more, then I have to be satisfied knowing I was in your thoughts for a brief moment. A twisted part of me wants your mind to be plagued by thoughts of me, just as my mind and heart is full of you.
I have to remind myself, that by getting too close I risk being burnt. But, at this point, I do not care for my own safety. I only care for yours, and I do this to keep my sanity. I truly admire you so much, that I cannot adore you from afar behind a rope like sculpture in a museum. I have to stand nearby, inspect your beauty, polish you to a shine, and value you like the priceless treasure that you are. Should someone threaten to chip off even the slightest speck on you, forcing you through more suffering...
I will shatter them into a million pieces, to preserve your peace.
Yours,
Vil Schoenheit
The wonderful aromatic smell that filled your nose brought back some not so pleasant memories. The smell of the earth beneath your feet, the scent of dew collected on every still surface, but above all were fragrant tangs that immediately alerted you to any nearby presence of a student belonging to Pomefiore.
They had chased you through those deep dark woods, like a pack of rabid hounds tracking and hunting a poor wounded rabbit. Besides their shouts and footfall, their perfume gave them away. There was one in particular which you only caught a whiff of only when you had too closely encountered the dormleader. The scent of lavender and spice hit your nose, the same fragrance on the letter.
"That reeks! Burn it!" A certain feline hissed, covering his little black nose with his paws. You swore the fragrance was beginning to form a migraine at the front of your skull. If the smell was strong for you, it must've been much worse for Grim since he had a superior sense of smell.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, if the smell wasn't that strong and it wasn't the particular scent. Like vanilla or freshly baked bread. If that were the case, Grim might've insisted on keeping it or even be tempted to take a bite out of the sheet.
But it was lavender and spice. So the letter was tossed into a corner several feet away, left to an unknown fate that you would ultimately decide later. When you glanced back to Grim, you saw him holding and sniffing another letter.
For a long moment his sniffed the rolled up paper, his black nose twitching as he was likely just searching for another gift to claim as a snack. After a few seconds, he discarded it, sliding it over to you before he opted to dig through the pile like a raccoon digging into a heap of trash. "Meh, this one smells boring."
"Boring, huh?"
Boring wouldn't exactly be your choice of adjectives to describe this letter. It wasn't an envelope, it was a scroll tied by ribbon, attached to an arrow. An arrow, of all things, was likely the messenger for this message. Thankfully, this one didn't smell of anything. Even without a fragrance to match to a profile, the arrow was a dead giveaway.
Opening it up and using your hands to smooth out the curled edges, you blatantly ignored the wax seal over the ribbon. Once it was fully unsealed, a few single flower petals drifted down from the paper. Just another mess you would sweep up later and decide whether to dispose of it or not, like the first letter from the dormleader. For this one you were a pinch anxious. The sender was not like the others who came before.
Trickster,
It relieves me to see that you are finally safe.
To see you rest and heal in tranquility, nothing steadies my anxiously beating heart more than knowing you are sheltered. Well guarded by a trio of ghosts and the courageous feline Grim, I have no need to stress over your wellbeing with them acting as your valiant knights in shining armor! Although, I would also wish to join their ranks, blessed by your grace and fit to serve as your shield. However...
I am conscious enough to know that I am nowhere near fitting, no matter how much I may wish to reach out and shield you from every evil. In that most vital moment, I had failed to recognize you. I may have spared you from the sharpness of my blade, but I couldn't have guarded you from the suffering that was to come afterwards.
I'm so deeply and truly sorry. Many sleepless nights have followed, since and even before our first fateful encounter in those woods of the Pomefiore estate. Before our encounter, I was conflicted. I wanted to detest you, but I could not, I thought there must be a reason this was all occurring. I couldn't slumber peacefully, so long as I knew there was turbulence surrounding your beloved vessel. After our encounter, I couldn't get the vision of you fragile, frightened, and wounded, out of my mind. Raising a blade against you, who were a stranger shrouded in infamy, made my very heart stop.
Now I know why I was so unexplainably drawn to you. It was not due to the wild frenzy that overtook the entire campus, or a burning hatred to destroy, or even my own desire to discover answers I desperately wanted, although that last one may have played a role. The reason as to I was so enticed by you, a cunning 'imposter,' was because my heart recognized you. It must have been my very soul that pulled me towards you, and perhaps my own nature as well. My body recognized you, my heart and my soul led me to you, but I was blinded by my sorrows.
Throughout the few years I've had on this wonderful earth, I've seen countless peoples, and you are unlike any of which I've seen. In the places I've been, I have witnessed poetry be written by masters of literacy, melodies sung by the most angelic voices ever heard on a stage, and devoted worshippers in holy places kneel in solemn prayer. Somehow you as a single being, or entity, encompass all those elements into one. My aim is to admire beauty, and I see beauty in its finest form when I look at you.
I truly understand what you mean to me, and to others.
But at the same time, you remain a mystery. And I believe I'm speaking for all those who admire you when I say this. We could only dream of truly understanding you, when we only had Yuu.
So, I try to make sense of it all in what I do understand, in the beautiful things I adore that I associate with you who I cherish. In literature, music, photography, I see you in everything all at once. When I read poetic lines, I think I could share it with you. When I hear beautiful music, I imagine you might enjoy listening to the tune too. When I discover stunning sceneries, I plan to bring you there someday to share a moment with you.
Now, I can make sense of it. I understand how the poets of old felt as they penned the love and awe they felt towards the Fairest Queen. It's a rare sentiment that cannot easily be put into words, a feeling as if it held my delicate heart and squeezed when I so much as thought of you. When a song and its composer can bring an audience to tears, I understand that now too. Hearing your voice for the first time, formed a knot in my throat that prevented me from saying much. Catching that first glimpse of you, was like gazing at a perfect painted portrait hanging in a museum.
My dearest player, I am a Hunt. I am naturally inquisitive by nature, and my fondness for you comes just as naturally. You may consider it wrong, but I will continue to offer my loyalty even if you may not accept it.
My aim is to one day unlock your secrets, solve your mysteries, and understand you fully, learn what makes you tick and what drives you forward. Perhaps when the day comes when you've forgiven me for my crimes, I can proudly stand in your presence and recite the poems I have written in your name. I could admire you everyday from then on, and remind you everyday of your worth. Then, I will protect you, from all harm, and I will not allow myself to fail you once again. This is a promise.
Should you need me, I will be there.
Yours,
Rook Hunt
There was something that felt... off. Compared to some of the previous letters, these were rather tame. Of course, there was the desperation and fascination evident in their words captured by the ink, but it was nowhere near as extreme as other cases.
Although, it was still chilling, to read the thoughts they penned.
In your hand you held the arrow the letter had been connected to, feeling its thin shape and the sharpened head at its tip that nearly pricked your finger. The vice dormleader had excellent aim, and had he not been so kind, arrows like this one in your hand could've easily been driven through your flesh and caught you against a tree where you would've been helpless in their grasps.
And yet, despite the opportunities he had, he didn't let a single weapon touch you. All it would take was one arrow, one moment and he could've ended you where you stood. But he spared you. However, there's the lingering doubt that maybe the primary reason he did it was he hoped you had answers to the malfunctioning vessel. You couldn't be sure exactly why he spared you, when everyone had wanted to torment and imprison you or worse.
Beside you, there's a large crunch and a content purr. When you look over, there's Grim, happily munching away on an apple he held with his little paws. He sank his fangs into the fruit, content that he finally found an offering that appeased him. In front of him was a small basket, filled with more juicy red apples.
"These are great! And, even though I was the one who found them, I'll let you have some!" Grim picked up another apple from the basket, sticking his claws into the red peel and offering it with his little grin. Nevermind the fact that these were probably meant as a gift for you and not for him, but you didn't mind. They would have likely ended up in the trash anyways, at least someone could enjoy them.
"You should really have one. You haven't eaten all day."
"I'm not hungry, but thanks. You can have them." Ever since everything happened, you weren't too keen on accepting gifts, especially if they were consumable. For now, the only places you'd accept food from, was the cafeteria you'd venture too at the dead of night when no one was there, or Sam's shop.
In the spot of the basket where Grim had removed the apple, there was a white layer at the bottom of the basket. Perplexed, you reached in and found an envelope hidden by the piled apples.
Unsurprisingly, the envelope smelled of sweet things, apples, cinnamon, and freshly baked pies. The envelope itself was nothing special, it had no intricate wax seal or marking. It was loosely sealed shut by a brown piece of string, and covered in some white and pink apples blossoms.
The inside was less impressive, more authentic, which was refreshing in a way. Smooth cursive flowed into slightly choppy print scrawled out in uneven lines, before eventually returning back to cursive at the end of some sentences. It appears parts were rushed judging by the blotted ink stains at multiple periods. The apples were a clue as to who the sender may be, but why would the letter be hidden in a gift?
Dear Player,
If you're reading this, that means my letter got through.
Where do I even start? It seems right that I first say sorry. I'm sorry. It sounds like a load of bull, but I am sorry. Apologizing in all these other ways, won't make this any better, so, I thought this might help. I'm gonna be completely honest with you, no lies, no tricks, just the blunt truth. I'm not going to be showing you these pretty sides I polished to impress and to mask all the ugly. I'll tell you everything that's been going on. That's something only I have the guts to do.
The reason I hid this letter was because Vil and Rook have been checking anything I want to write to you. They want to keep up this positive front, they wanna at least pretend to be perfect enough to be near you. At least, that's what I think. Although I know we won't ever come close to that.
Instead of trying to write a real and honest letter for you, it feels like I was writing some essay for Professor Trein to grade. I'd have to write and write, and even if the grammar was right, the message wasn't. They want to make you think everything's okay, when it's not. I can only imagine what elegant crap they were spewing in their own fancy letters, while we're actually all a mess. We've been like this since Yuu broke down. I try to understand them, and in a way I do, but sometimes they freak me out. Yeah, I got my own problems trying to comprehend all this chaos, but they're different.
Is everyone else in the other dorms this extreme? This miserable and on the verge of breaking? Maybe you won't believe me, or maybe you'll realize that there's some truth to what I'm saying. Here, in Pomefiore, I can only tell you what I've seen. These days, Rook's smile seems strained, like he's about to snap, his eyes are sharp and watchful. The only time his smile is normal is when he's looking at some photo, but he won't ever let me see what it is. Vil, well, the only sign he's still alive and kicking are the packages that come in for him, new makeup and all that stuff, things he's using to craft that perfect mask. I did see him one night out in the hall, I swear there was mascara down his face but I was too put off to approach when he was like that.
Don't ever tell them I told you all this. Vil would probably skin me alive and wear me as a robe, and Rook... I don't want to think about what he would do... I'm kidding by the way, but seriously, don't ever tell them. I told you I would be honest to you, so here's my reason. I thought that maybe telling you all this would score me points with you, get you to trust me again. Even if this is a rotten way to go about it, I don't care.
I am rotten, and I won't hide it like them.
If I can't even be honest with you, then do I really deserve a second chance at all?
Scratch that. I don't deserve a second chance at all after everything that happened. What I did was downright terrible, but I'm trying my damnedest to be deserving again. And I won't stop trying, even if part of me thinks it's useless. I never cared for Yuu, the only reason I acted for them was because it was you behind them. My goal is to eventually be beside you, the real you.
Although, a basket of apples is a crummy way to go about things, but think of it like a peace offering. Just cause I can't get word to you, don't mean I give up. I'm not giving up. Ever. Everyone's going about their own roundabout ways of mending things. If you want to hear more, I'll gladly tell you. I don't think anyone else would tell you the truth of what's happening, because in a sense everyone wants to appeal to you with the best image of themselves they can possible portray. Don't believe all the hogwash they send you. If whoever sends something and seems to be stable, they're not. Not completely.
I'm awfully ashamed to admit it, but I'm not okay. Not since everything started, and not since everything went to hell when shit hit the fan. I'm not okay without you, and I got myself to blame for that.
This letter is helping. The thought of communicating with you again, even if I can't see your face or hear your voice and its reduced to words on paper, it's more than I could ask for. So, if you want me to spill the beans, just ask. If not, if there's no response, well, I'll get a bit of comfort thinking you might've read this. Besides, I have hope with each attempt I'll make. I'm not just rottenly selfish, I'm stubborn to a fault. And if I have to knock down someone else's chances to get closer, then that's fine by me.
All you gotta do is talk to me.
Until then, hoping to speak to you soon,
Epel Felmier

✩ ✩
“Someone you couldn’t lose. You said we’re not together, so now when we kiss I have anger issues.”
She asked when it had all started. The truth was you weren’t really sure. There was no definitive date or period of time that signified the beginning or end of it.
A relationship that felt more of interlacing two souls into one that resided in two structures. Shared autonomy of mind, breath, word, and body. Unspoken feelings, touches, and stares.
What started in green fields of pink flowers and brown roots ended in dark rooms and pining embraces. Hand shakes turning into interlaced fingers, laughter filled glances turning into tense stares, and experimental pecks turning into open mouthed pants.
The first time you meet abby was at school at 15. Bright eyed and bushy tailed still untainted from the reality of the world around you. You were quite shy in those years, keeping yourself away from the wild hairs of children ready to grow up and take charge. You were okay with the stability of childhood, the sticky sweet feeling of safety and uncharted terror.
Before Abby’s dad had died, before the muscles and long locks of golden blonde hair she was reserved too. Abby was wrapped in a bubble of comfort, a loving community that doted on her. She felt no need to join the crowd of chaos when she had everything she needed.
Well she thought she did…and then she met you.
In class you had your face shoved into a notebook doodling away of ferns and dandelions you had seen in the fields early that day. If it were up to you, you’d spend every last dying breath in the fields, soaking in sunlight and trailing your fingers through the rows of flowers.
Abby sat next to you in class, always too shy to speak up to you. You always seemed so busy, either reading, drawing, or with your head in the clouds, never truly listening to the lecture ahead. She admired your creativity, attention to detail, and the utter sense of unawareness to your surroundings. She wondered why you didn’t talk to the others, you were so inviting, so pretty. She once wished to look like you, how effortlessly magnificent you looked.
She grew too curious, over zealous at the thought of being close to you, understanding you. She knew she had to speak up.
“H-hey you draw pretty cool- I mean- it’s really good…what you draw.”
You had never taken more than a glance at the freckled girl until then. She always seemed just as busy as you, so you never bothered her.
You let out a bellied laugh at the now crimson red faced girl- completely embarrassed by her attempt at recognition.
And that was that. The two of you were inseparable, attached at the hip from then on out.
Abby seemed to understand your weird quirks and odd fascinations. Even when she didn’t, she was there open minded and wide eyed to hear your lengthy ramblings on about nothingness.
Sometimes it felt like you did most of the talking. Not that it was one sided or you wouldn’t let her butt in, but rather she was completely enamored by what you thought. Sometimes all she wanted to do was to hear you talk, you were her favorite person, the own mold of herself.
She wanted to think what you thought, feel what you felt, see the world through your eyes.
17
As the years went on you only seemed to grow closer to abby as she grew fonder of you.
Some could call it an obsession, the way you treated each other. Not a single thought went by that the other didn’t know. If you were there, so was abby. If you knew something, so did she.
Everyday she would follow you to the fields after school, your special escape you’d learn to share with the other half of your being.
You’d make her lay across the flower ridden fields so you could draw her glistening hair kissed by the whisk of wind. She let her hair grow longer since you’d ask to braid it for her every morning. She liked it short but she wanted to let you have room to make intricate designs and lace them with weeds you’d found.
Abby would playfully nudge you when you’d draw the hump on her nose in the drawings, but you loved it too much to not appreciate it. You loved all the things she couldn’t in herself.
You two spent hours out in the field daily, even when it rained you’d make her dance around like fairies as mud splattered across your shins. Anything you wanted, she’d do as long as it was with you.
That’s when you asked her to try kissing, she’d obliged.
“Have you ever…kissed anyone?” You ask staring off into the cloud painted sky, tall grass framing your bodies.
She lets out a breathy giggle, “no… you would know if I did.”
You shrug, shoulder crashing gently into hers, “I don’t know, maybe it was too embarrassing to say.”
She trails off, “h-have you?”
“No dumbass you would know…” you push your shoulder into her turning to give her a toothy smile, “what if I’m not good when a boy kisses me?”
Her eyes remained trained onto the pillowy cloud, “you can try on me- I-if you want to.”
It was a good idea, she wasn’t going to judge you, she was your best friend, she was only there to help.
“Okay.” And without a second thought your upper body shot up and lent over hers, pressing your lips into her plush pink ones. It was gentle, only a placement amongst the flesh, yet so charged. Butterflies fluttered through your stomach and up to your throat, something you had only felt once before when you and abby went swimming.
Closeness you thought. Being close to someone causes that. How nice it was to be so close to your favorite person, maybe one day you could feel close to someone again.
After that you continued to experiment kissing. At sleepovers you’d talk about the boys you wanted to kiss, then show each other how you would kiss them. It turned into an innocent routine, pecking her before she would leave, kissing her in the fields when you felt the butterflies.
You’d told her about them- the fluttering in your stomach. Whenever you felt them she told you that she wanted to feel them too. Transferring them through the soft pink flesh, she’d say she’d feel them after.
Soon she’d tell you when she got them, to which you’d return the gesture back. As time went on, the butterflies came more often.
People were starting to notice the relationship, started talking about how close the two of you were. You’d shoo off the irrational comments and over zealous accusations, but abby never did. She just didn’t respond.
“Who am I to ask for more? But you’re breathing in my open mouth. You’re the gun in my lips that will blow my brains out.”
18
Abby started spending the night daily, she practically lived in your room at that point. After her dad died your relationship grew stronger than ever. In such a treacherous time she clung to the only person who truly understood her. Many a nights she spent huddled into a ball in your lap weeping as you smoothed the hair behind her ear and rubbing circles into the grown muscles in her back.
Abby had taken to working her emotions out in physical labor. Now being a solider full time out of school she had grown muscular and more rough. Her heart was still the same for you, but had grown caged off to the people around you.
Her pleasantries for the rest of the community had grown stale, only allowing a few to get near her. But you… there was always an indefinite spot inside her for you.
Since abby was always around now, in the darkness of every night, privacy had flown right out the window. Not that you had minded- there wasn’t much of really anything abby didn’t know or hadn’t seen.
But when that eery sense of familiarity crept up, when the butterflies would come at night.
She had started out sleeping on the extra bed in your room. Before she had practically moved in she’d sleep with you, but since her stay turned to no vacancy she’d taken to given you the last sense of space, even when you hadn’t asked.
In the middle of darkness as the crickets chirped outside the window you’d tell her the feeling had come back, and she’d always agree, and the room would fall silent again.
“Abby?” You call out to a darkened room, illuminated by the shine of the moon.
“Yeah?” She’d call back from the other side.
“Do you ever…fix the feelings of the butterflies. Like make them go away?”
“Uh yeah- sometimes…when it gets bad.”
“I think mine are…bad right now,” it felt embarrassing almost, there was nothing she could do to help, fix your issue. Transferring the butterflies to abby only made them worse sometimes, and you were boiling.
“M-mine too,” she admits.
“You can fix it- if you need to.”
“A-re you going to stop yours?”
“Is that okay?” You say reluctantly into the tense air coating you. Every slight move felt with a million nerves.
“Mhmm,” she responds, a rustling heard coming from her direction.
Soft hums filled the air from the feeling of release you had allowed yourself in the presence of your best friend. Abby’s breathy moans would only follow quickly after your own, never before.
Dual release become a routine. Allowing the sticky sweet sensations of climaxing in the same bedroom of your other half. It became another thing you shared with her, another check on the list of the endeavors you’d participated in with her.
Talks of the butterflies and the unleashing of them never left those four chipping walls. Some things were meant for just Abby’s ears. All best friends must do the same. You’d never heard of others talk of sorts so you sealed your lips, a secret kept like a bird in a cage.
As you both had grown accustomed to the routine things gradually got more intense. Sometimes you couldn’t get the butterflies to fly away even when you tried for hours, panting out whimpers of frustration. Even when they would go away sometimes they would crept back in immediately, your body unable to be satiated.
Abby begun sleeping in the bed with you, to calm the frustrating unnerve you felt after no avail. She’d tell you she wish she could help you, make them go away. She’d do anything to make you happy.
That’s when you started touching yourselves next to each other. The routine was upheld for so long that it felt natural to do it even when she was right next to you. First fully covered, then in undergarments, to finally completely bare.
Seeing Abby’s bare flesh only made it worse. You weren’t stupid, the pieces were falling into place before your eyes. But you hadn’t seen anyone else naked before, maybe it would be the same. Her flesh so pale, her nipples shades of pale pink roses, and the hair that trailed down to her folds as golden as wheat. You had never seen something so magnificent, so beautifully crafted.
That was something you didn’t share with her. The drawings of her bare flesh. You made sure to memorize each chisel, line, and freckle to be as accurate as possible once you got to your notebook. With every piece of her revealed opening thousands of opportunities to draw her art. She was so fucking beautiful.
“When was the first time?” The auburn girl had asked you.
It all had meshed into a blur, what had happened and when it did. When you and abby had started sleeping together it started on opposite ends. Heat not close enough to sting your flesh but the air still tense enough to be cut clean with a blade. As time grew on and the routine becoming daily, the space between you started to close in. Knees brushing as your legs wavered, arms transferring sticky sweat in the blistering heat of arousal.
The inevitable placement of foreheads touching as you watched each other fall apart, watching the butterflies flutter out of her throat with every pant.
From what you could call the ‘beginning’ of sorts, rather an act of mercy, came from her.
You found yourself in the familiar position of unnerve. Rubbing aimless quick circles on your abused clit. It became a matter of principle at the point, needing to fulfill the urge even knowing the outcome would leave you more helpless than before. Abby’s butterflies were far gone, now rubbing lazy stripes down her slit in attempt to not let you feel alone. She never wanted you to feel like she wasn’t completely enthralled by your every move.
Your leg sprawled across her own, wide open, bucking your hips into the air as you let out frustrated grunts, eyes sealed shut in concentration. She just watched. She loved watching you touch yourself. Abby felt like the luckiest girl in the world getting to watch you, kiss you, feel you. She wanted to feel more of you, every atom in your body she’d kiss if you’d allow it.
“Let me help” she said, eyes trained on your open mouth.
Your brain was too fuzzy to even comprehend the depth of the act, so pent up and eager.
“Mhmm,” was all you could muster up. As her calloused fingers transferred from her skin to your abdomen, your body jolted up. You had never been touched by another. Not like this. She took her time running the tips of her fingers from your side to the mound, taking your hand and moving it your thigh so she could replace it with her own.
Something deep in your belly erupted when you felt her fingers meet your clit. A flock of doves released from their cage, a gasping goldfish meeting water. An exaggerated sigh of relief came out as a depraved moan. Every nerve in your body heightened by her gentle touch.
She drew cautious and attentive swipes across the newly swollen bud, watching for when your breath would hitch.
“You’re so warm,” she said studying your face as it contorted in pleasure. Your chin raised high, burying your scalp into the frilly pillows below. She had then studied the flesh around your neck, oh why had she never noticed that. How thin the skin was there, how close she could get to you in that space.
“I-it feels b-better when you do it,” you admit to her, water in her hands, hips grinding into the soft touch of her. “Y-yeah really?” She says, perking up, so pleased with knowing she could make you feel better. She’d do anything to make you feel better.
You let your stagnant hand run down her chiseled chest to meet her mound, her sticky slit pooling at her core. You meant to return the favor, an eye for an eye. “It’s okay- just let me help you.”
You shook your head in agreement, but let your hand rest on the pulsing flesh, you wanted to feel her like she felt you.
With every gentle circle she took you closer to release. It was so much faster when she did it. When you did it together before you would lie there for hours flicking at the raw skin to no avail, but in minutes she had you tipping at your edge.
Her strokes felt akin to the ones on your notebook, gentle and cautious direction, seeking a desirable outcome. You’d thought to picture this, able to recreate this on paper shielded from her eyes. What would she think if she saw them? Maybe you’d grown too fond of the other half of your heart.
“Abby!” You scream out, nearing your pending release.
“Y-yeah? D-does it feel okay- are you okay?” She perks up in concern, helplessly worried she had hurt you.
“Yes- Yes! It- it’s coming,” you pant out, body slick with sweat as your arousal pools below you. A sloppy mess of bodies interlaced with remorseless pleasure.
“Let me feel them, I want to feel them,” abby says inches from your face, intently watching the contortions of your face below her. The butterflies, oh how she wished she could flutter in your tummy as they do so effortlessly.
You cave shamelessly, pressing into the soft pink flesh. You try to keep them stable, but as you reach the cliffs edge you can’t help but moan pathetically into her throat. Your hips thrust into the calloused fingers, chasing the lasting feelings of her, escaping your doom and passing the burden through your lips onto hers.
You did draw of this, and every time after that. It became an obsession, mental images snapshotted to accuracy for replication later.
The routine increased in frequency and intensity. Exploring each other’s most sacred places. She would let you touch her sometimes, but only when she was touching you. Abby seemed more interested in your pleasure than her own. But she cared about you, she never wanted you unsettled. She wanted to be your salvation.
“I ask you how you’re doing and I let you lie. But we don’t have to talk about it, I can walk you home and practice method acting. I’ll pretend being with you doesn’t feel like drowning.”
19
“Does she make you feel them?”
She asked when it had all started. The truth was you weren’t really sure. There was no definitive date or period of time that signified the beginning or end of it.
Ellie Williams was so…vulgar, erratic, a ticking time bomb. The pieces of the puzzle connected at last when you lied eyes on the auburn haired girl.
She had entered the WLF as gentle as a bomb to a building. Fiery hot attitude, a chip on her shoulder, and drowning green eyes. At first glance she utterly captivated your ever fleeting thoughts.
When she first walked through the corridors of the stadium your eyes fixed on her, staring rudely at her every move. “Who is that, the girl?” You ask the unfazed blonde next to you, too busy working at sharpening a blade, “names Ellie, they say she’s trouble. By the looks of her, checks out.”
“What did she do? Why is she here?” You continue your glare, taking note of the pink scare rippled along the crest of her eye.
You had never drawn anyone other than abby, but the girls features were so strong, the strokes would come naturally in your grasp. A secret muse possibly, even from a far.
“I don’t know- stay away from her. She reeks of trouble,” she’d remark, finishing off the blade and leading you off to a pending mission.
You tried, you really did. She was so compelling, and you? You were a bee to honey. Was she soft unlike her features? Did she speak of the world beyond her? Did she like to watch the clouds mesh into unlikely objects? Did she know of the butterflies and their ever present existence in your lungs?
Your notebook grew of only her, the short frayed hair, the pink scare, the freckles that littered her face. So effortlessly magnificent she was, unknowingly your own secret work of art.
Until abby found them.

Mark loves kissing your stomach.
It isn't sexual, though it does evolve into one more often than not. But his fixation on your stomach is in itself not remotely sexual.
Sometimes, he'd cajole you into dropping the work on hand, only to take your soft hand in his calloused one and lead you into the bedroom.
Streaks of sunlight would pass through the magnificent red curtains, giving your room a warm ambience. With gentle hands, he'd push you to lay back, his own figure hovering above yours.
A press of lips against lips. He'll pull away quickly and shoot you a gorgeous smile. His eyes would then trail down to your stomach, fingers pushing your shirt back subconsciously, the tips brushing against your skin.
He'd run a hand across the expanse of your stomach, eyes glazed over as though he were in a trance. He'd bring his lips to your navel, hot breath fanning your skin, before he'd tentatively graze his lips on your stomach.
You loved it. It'd make your insides do somersaults; your core would flutter and your stomach would combust into a million beautiful butterflies.
The second kiss would be firmer, lips lingering on your skin and tongue peeking out, Mark seemingly not getting enough of you.
He'd nip and bite and paint your skin charmingly, but it always ended with another kiss pressed on your stomach.

Argenti relationship headcanons;
┏━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┓
✰ Characters: Argenti x reader.
✰ Words: ~1k.
✰ SFW ; gn!reader, no mentions of pronouns. fluff.
Tumblr media
Warnings: might be slightly sug/gestive here and there. i tried but he's too hot :pensive: written with jp voice in mind
A/N: I'm honestly so surprised there's so little Argenti content that IM OFFENDED. i need MORE OF HIM BEING CUTE AND LOVING ME. i cant pull him now but i next time he wont escape me
┗━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┛
Argenti:
Tumblr media
He absolutely wakes up looking like a princess. Sun rays illuminating his face so beautifully, his chest slowly rising up and down (and his um, chest muscles being also blessed by the sun rays if you get me), his lips parted ever so slightly, hair sprawled out, but still looking untouched by the nights sleep.
His long eyelashes flutter open, and his emerald eyes scan the room drowsily; once the knight sets his eyes on you, he smiles to himself and turns to his side to face you.
He admires you sleeping, for... quite some time. Even if your hair is not perfect at all, or there's a drool running down your face - he's mesmerized. and I truly mean it, he's trying to calm down the butterflies in his stomach. Argenti can't help but cup your cheek and caress it gently with his thumb; his sleepy smile growing even wider when he feels you stir in your sleep.
even though it's never in his intentions to awaken you (he actually kinda wishes you kept sleeping so he could still admire you lol), he takes advantage of that and begins to place warm and slow kisses on your face to wake you up. his hair shields you from the harsh sunlight, faintly tickling you here and there.
hear me out, it surely looks nice from your angle, but his back muscles..
depending on your mood, these kisses may trail somewhere else. i mean.. can you imagine him between your thighs. because i can and it's not making me feel well.
"my brightest rose, good morning. seeing your magnificent eyes once again fills me with happiness and energy for the upcoming day." wipes off your drool sexily
he sleeps SHIRTLESS (you told him you were cold. he pretended to believe it).
random dances across all the planets at (seemingly) random times. he doesn't care whether you can dance or not, but he'll be honored to teach you if you wish. argenti would absolutely get you to dance whenever you feel down just to make you laugh; wrong moves don't matter - it'd probably hurt you more if you stepped on his armor...
listen. he doesn't care if it's cringe, but he will hold a rose between his teeth and dance with you, if that's what makes you laugh.
has probably thought once or twice if you're the truest manifestation of Idrila. He's never been so mesmerized by someone's beauty, so... maybe? ... *rubs hands and smirks*
does NOT give a single sheet if he's in public or not - but he always, ALWAYS kisses you like it's your last kiss. They're so passionate, intimate, and sensual, that it makes people flustered at the sight of you. He pulls you close by your waist, swiftly switching his hands to cup your cheeks; the knight puts his forehead against yours and whispers a few silly words before finally connecting your lips together. The kiss, although as simple as it could be, leaves you hungry for more - it takes a while for him to finally part, but just enough to refill the air in your lungs.
now, it wouldn't be as awkward to other people if it took you a few minutes, but argenti TAKES HIS TIME. he has to kiss you (or makeout at this point lol) until your lips are swollen from his kisses. then he moves on to his duties like nothing happened.
he truly wants you to hold him by his waist when you two kiss, or at least have your hands on his chest. he'll put them on the desired place by himself if you don't do it. what a dork.
touch is just so, so important to him. he has a hard time getting rejected, no matter if it's a hug or kiss, it makes him feel unwanted. he won't show it outside much, but he might be less... dramatic and excited than usual.
he SO SHOWS OFF FOR YOU it's almost reckless sometimes. "My lady, fear not, as I am here to protect your beauty until my very end!" Argenti kisses your knuckles before parting to defeat the enemy with ease.
Calculated how to fall just enough to dramatically appear on his knees and put his hand on his heart before you, "Beloved, the evil has been obliterated with the power of love my heart stores for your beautiful soul!"
He KNOWS his cheesy lines either make you cringe (with love), laugh or you're just an adorable soul who genuinely likes lines like these, he RAMPS them up like crazy.
just throwing it out there so we're clear: to argenti, consent is a must, regardless of the activity. no consent, he's moving on. thinks consent is se/xy. HE'S THE EMBODIMENT OF CONSENT.
his hair probably smells really nice. a faint smell of strawberry, perhaps..
the beauty knight usually wants you to stay out of battles, but holy sheet if he sees you kick someone's ass so good, he's impressed and proud. probably needs a bathroom break also..
"oh, how much do i wish that was me instead..." - argenti probably
actually wouldn't mind to have friendly spares with you from time to time - it's a good opportunity for both to test your skills. or maybe give argenti an opportunity to straddle you... that's also an option.
remembers every date that's important for you. in return, he doesn't really care about his, but might tear up when you show up with a gift.
he'd actually love to help you dress up! nothing sexual involved, just pure intimacy of helping his beloved. his moves are precise, careful not to harm you in any way with his armor; he relishes in the feeling of your skin being so tender compared to his.

one chance pt.2
summary: you give them one chance. how do they use it?
characters: kazuha, lyney, wanderer, zhongli
notes: zhongli’s is super rushed im sorry, gn reader! wc: 200-400
part 1: alhaitham, diluc, neuvillette, wriothesley
Tumblr media
kazuha
Lethargic movements of cascading waves rock the ship, emanating a warm ambience of comfort, wrapping you around in a dreamlike mist. It’s dark, the cabin is silent, and dawn is slowly approaching. Nevertheless, swallowed in the labyrinth of blankets and pillows, your sleep is undisturbed, a line of drool evident on your chin.
Unlike usual, the space next to you is empty. Strange, isn’t it? The whole blanket has been carefully intertwined around you, a beautifully simple yet loving action calculated from the very depths of his heart.
It’s likely that you’ve probably forgotten.
The one chance you’ve given him, the perfect time, and Kazuha would be a fool to let it pass.
The sudden explosion of sunlight almost blinds you.
“Kazuha… It’s too early,” you mumble incoherently, sleep still tangling your words, your movements sluggish as you follow his blurry figure. “Besides, where are you taking me?”
Kazuha rotates to face you, a gentle smile plastered on his cheeky face. Almost flirtatious.
“Take my hand,” he whispers, etching closer and pulling you just a bit further. “And look.”
He doesn’t let go of your hand, moving to your side, revealing the dazzling sky he promised since day one.
lyney
Sitting in the front row of the Opera Epiclese means you’re able to catch the smaller things. Actions are more precise, mistakes become more prominent, and, of course, the stars are always shining more magnificently than ever.
Tonight, it’s Lyney and Lynette.
Their voices glide over the exhilarated crowds, cheering and clapping jubilantly at the success of one of the final tricks. Confetti rains from the ceilings, glitter gleams from every corner, and finally, it’s time for the show to end.
The curtains aren’t closing, and no one is moving.
That mischievous glint in his eyes, directed solely at you as he bows, a discreet hint on what he’s going to commit next.
A vibrant bouquet of rainbow roses lands on your lap.
You look around, and for a second, you’re confused.
Then you finally understand. It’s almost humorous how he managed to remember that small promise.
Everyone else has a singular, crimson rose.
“A beautiful red rose as a token of our appreciation,” Lyney announces, beaming towards the audience. “And a single bouquet gifted the most delightful person here, who once told me that I had only one chance to charm them without words.”
When his eyes meet yours, it’s victorious—painfully so. Almost as if saying to you: I told you, didn’t I?
wanderer
You’ve been staring at the bland ceilings of your shared bedroom for nearly all day.
The furniture that once was neatly placed in their respective areas are now all messily piled up against the door. It’s locked, but today, you were highly determined to be as agitating as your boyfriend was, no matter how many stacks of furniture it’s going to take. Even if a small part of your resolve was beginning to run out like the sand in an hourglass.
You’re currently debating if you should just abandon this fruitless attempt. He always did this better anyway. Being sulky was really not your thing, and perhaps he knew that too; otherwise, he likely would’ve barged in the first few seconds of your outburst of annoyance.
There only seems to be one problem—a big problem. How are you going to return the stacks of furniture to their original placement in the most quiet fashion so he wouldn’t suspect a thing? So that he wouldn’t suspect that you’ve lost your own competition? You didn’t even bother to conceal the scrapes and bangs when first assembling it.
A few ideas spout in your head, each more desperate and ridiculous than the previous.
An irritating sigh escapes from you as you flop back onto the bed, once again back to square one.
From somewhere within the depths of your shared bedroom, a snicker escapes. And then another.
The variety of sleep lines on your arm and heavy pounding in your head are evidence that you fell asleep. When you sit up, movements tired and slow, everything looks and feels lopsided. As if the world had been rearranged. The space before the door looks so empty… Wait, didn’t it hold a barricade of furniture before?
Everything begins to connect; you begin to piece together all the possibilities, but not before someone has to butt in.
“Good morning, sleepyhead.”
The closeness of the voice startles you; the warm familiarity sending a coded message down your spine.
Next to you on the bed, lying on his side, looking all proud and pleased, is the only person who could get away with all this. Winning your heart and being every exception.
“This is the only time I’ll forgive you. This was your last chance, okay?” you warn.
“Yeah, yeah,” he replies airily as he sinks beneath the covers. “You’ll repeat that the next few hundred times too.”
zhongli
Strange things have been happening these past few months.
Maybe you’re just overthinking it, but you swear everyone knows something you don’t. The only person you can agree is just as clueless about it all: the consultant of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Mr Zhongli.
However, he’s also been acting a bit unusual lately. You haven’t seen him in a while, and you’re not stupid enough to believe that it’s a coincidence that you never bump into him anymore.
The possibility makes your heart sink.
Moving on, you assess his boss, Director Hu. Typically bright and vivacious, more than often singing lively poems throughout Liyue.
Lately, she’s been more short-tempered. You recall her complaining about something about having a scaredy-cat consultant just yesterday evening.
As if she could hear your thoughts, a hushed ‘boo’ comes from one of the bushes.
“Aiyaaa… This bush is so spiky..."
“Director Hu? What are you doing hiding in a bush?”
She glances up, rubbing her sore arms before squeezing further into the bush with a desperate, “Shush! He’s coming!” at your bewildered expression.
You turn to where she was pointing, and it’s…Zhongli?
Zhongli with a bouquet of glaze lilies?
Your breath hitches as he gets closer, a gentle smile gracing his face as he offers you his hand.
The split second before he hands you the exquisite bouquet, a faint giggle is heard from behind you.
“Guess you’re no longer a scaredy-cat anymore, Mr. Zhongli? It’s about time; he’s been dying to do this for months.”

Colors of the Moon : What color is the Moon? It depends on the night. Outside of the Earth's atmosphere, the dark Moon, which shines by reflected sunlight, appears a magnificently brown-tinged gray. Viewed from inside the Earth's atmosphere, though, the moon can appear quite different. The featured image highlights a collection of apparent colors of the full moon documented by one astrophotographer over 10 years from different locations across Italy. A red or yellow colored moon usually indicates a moon seen near the horizon. There, some of the blue light has been scattered away by a long path through the Earth's atmosphere, sometimes laden with fine dust. A blue-colored moon is more rare and can indicate a moon seen through an atmosphere carrying larger dust particles. What created the purple moon is unclear -- it may be a combination of several effects. The last image captures the total lunar eclipse of 2018 July -- where the moon, in Earth's shadow, appeared a faint red -- due to light refracted through air around the Earth. Today there is not only another full moon but a total lunar eclipse visible to observers in North and South America -- an occurrence that may lead to some unexpected lunar colorings. via NASA

Tags: Mentions of war, mental asylums, unjust imprisonment, mentions of controversial mental health treatments, cross dressing (?), implications of violence against women, illness, no betareading we go in raw
Author's note: You might have seen this post where I mention the life of Dorothy Lawrence. Well this is very loosely based on her life mixed with Tommy's story. Left it very open to a part 2 if people like the premise.

The asylum stood tall and imponent before Tommy’s gaze, its towering central dome and flanking turrets framed by the bright sun rays of a cheerful spring afternoon. The radiant gardens contrasted dramatically with the derelict state of the building itself; rusty and broken drainpipes hanging from the roof, rotten wood frames and shattered window panes, missing chunks of brick on the walls, revealing the inner framing and plaster. Nothing about that place inspired trust to those who crossed its threshold, let alone hopes of betterment. The lamentable exterior stood like the perfect match of the decadence within.
The smell of rot assaulted him the second he entered. The paint had started to peel off, and moisture stains crawled across walls and ceiling. Most windows in the main hall were shuttered, and the incandescent light bulbs did little to cut through the darkness, casting a sickly shadow over the room. The orderly that welcomed him in the entrance had an embittered face, and he questioned Tommy on his name, whom he was visiting and his reasons to. He patted him down and overturned his pockets, making him leave behind anything that could be used to harm or be harmed. Cap, cigar case, lighter, sleeve garters and shoelaces stayed behind while another orderly led him through long hallways and endless locked doors towards the morning hall where he’d meet the purpose of his visit.
Finally, they stopped before a wide set of oaken double doors with panels of rubbed glass, which allowed him a faint peek of what happened on the other side. The orderly barely opened the door enough to enter himself and told Tommy to wait outside, as if he feared something may escape from within given the chance. After a few minutes he returned, leaving the gap open for Tommy to pass through.
“Sister Janice will take you to her. Don’t look at other patients. Don’t talk to other patients. If they come to you, ignore them. Don’t take anything they give you”
Perplexed, curious and mostly annoyed by all the delays, Tommy ducked under the orderly’s arm while he held the door open. As soon as he stepped inside the orderly let go, and the door closed behind him with a heavy click.
The sudden brightness hurt his eyes after the unceasing darkness, and Tommy had to squint briefly as his pupils grew accustomed to his surroundings. An ample hall stretched before him, arch windows spanning from floor to ceiling lining the west and north walls. Moth eaten draperies of blue velvet had been drawn back to allow sunlight in, in hopes of insufflating some life into the gelid heart of the asylum.
The room had surely once been a magnificent ballroom, but had now been reduced to the sad, dirty, abandoned alcove where the non-aggressive patients spent most of their waking hours, some engaged in the very few activities offered to them, others dragging their feet and mumbling to themselves like lost souls, their gazes absent and their appearance unkempt. Not one person appeared to have a coherent thought there, and Tommy wondered if it was due to their own ailments, or due to the medicines the nurses forced down their throats to keep them tame and peaceful, albeit stupid.
As Tommy walked past, he couldn't help but notice the way his presence drew attention from them. The patients stopped in their tracks to stare at him as if he were the most marvellous wonder they had ever seen. They pointed at him, uttering incoherences and laughing at jokes no one else heard. Some tried to get close but were forced back with a sharp gesture by the nun accompanying him, whom only now Tommy noticed, carried a mean looking leather strap, hanging side by side with a rosary from her cord belt.
At long last, she came into view. Slouched on a rocking chair facing the windows, a ragged purple cardigan thrown over a white, floor length dress, resembling more a nightgown than any sort of decent clothing. A white linen cap covered her hair, and Tommy noticed that the ties had been removed, as had been from the rest of her garments. She looked thinner, thinner even than she did in France. She gave no indication that she had noticed their presence, her dulled eyes fixated on the gardens outside.
“I have it from here, sister” Tommy dismissed the nun with a wave of his hand, dragging a nearby stool to sit next to the woman.
“I’m sorry Mr. Shelby, but I cannot allow you to be unsupervised with a patient. She seems tame now, but who knows what atrocities a woman of sin like her might commit”
Tommy wanted to snort. She barely looked strong enough to hold herself in the chair, how could she harm anyone?
“She won’t attack me sister” Tommy insisted “Now step back, and I will make sure the asylum is handsomely rewarded for your troubles.”
The nun opened her mouth, ready to argue, but then chose against it. The asylum could do with some extra coin, after all. She straightened up and smoothed her habit, perhaps a way to reinstate her authority that Tommy had so brazenly challenged.
“You have half an hour” She stated at last before walking away towards a group of patients who were seemingly arguing over a doll.
Tommy’s gaze returned to the woman in front of him, who continued to be absent from the world around her, and who gave no sign of life other than the steady rising and falling of her shoulders with each breath. Thomas allowed the pause to linger between them a few seconds longer, but he didn’t want to waste his allotted time. He wouldn’t put it past these people to drag him out like that; the laws of men did not apply in these sorts of places.
He called her name softly, in a nearly soothing whisper. Once, twice, thrice, yet it did not do to her more than the drafts howling through the broken panes or the maniac laughs of the patients around them. He didn’t want to touch her and risk startling her, but he didn’t want to spend his visit staring at her left cheek. He took his last chance, using this time a different name, a name he had not pronounced since 1915.
“Private Anders”
The name stirred something in her mind. Her back straightened a bit and her features quivered in recognition. Slowly, stiffly, she turned towards Tommy, her eyebrows first furrowing in confusion then rising in surprise.
“Sergeant Major?” Her shock could not be disguised, and she readied to rise and salute, but Tommy motioned for her to remain seated.
“At ease, private”
~
Tommy recalled perfectly the first day he saw her. They were stationed near Albert, digging up a new front line as they tried to gain terrain from the Germans. The troops from the British Expeditionary Force and the 179th tunnelling company consisted mostly of coal miners, all turned sappers whose task was to ready up the land for battle. The clay rich soil basically melted between their fingers when it rained, making the digging of trenches and shelters a never-ending battle. The dampness crept up their legs and seeped into their bones, and Tommy had seen one too many soldiers whose feet rotted inside their boots. Even the strongest men, used to work from sun to sun in the depths of the coal mines breathing dust and methane, would sometimes succumb to the elements.
Tommy worked paired with Tom Dunn, a man as thick of back as he was of skull. He could easily lift an adult man and throw him across the field like a sack of potatoes, and legend has it he pulled the coal carts in the mine when the horses couldn’t. If left to it, he could probably dig out the trench with only his hands and his helmet.
He had been the one to introduce Tommy to her. Dunn had hidden that little lunatic in an abandoned cottage, not too far from where the troops were stationed. Somehow, she had obtained a uniform, which she had padded with cotton wool to flatten her curves and broaden her shoulders. Her hair had been cut in a military style, scrapes on her cheeks simulated a shaving rash, and potassium permanganate attempted to sharpen her jaw and cheekbones with dark shadows.
She slept in a damp mattress, with little more than a threadbare blanket to keep her warm; she had no means of acquiring something better, nor could she light a fire in the dusty hearth for fear of being discovered. Dunn had been feeding her with whatever he could spare from his own rations or snatch from others, which meant she had been eating the minimum for survival, since the woods offered nothing but naked branches at that time of year.
Tommy had been left thunderstruck, far too much to react properly. A million questions came to his lips, and a million died there as his mind couldn’t exactly put into words what he wanted to know. His gaze flickered between them both, who looked at him pleadingly like a couple of children asking their parents to stay up late. His first instinct was to call up their superior and hand her over to them, for her own safety, but then he thought about it better. The things that could happen to her if he handed her over to the war office…and that’s it, if they handed her over in the first place, or chose to make justice themselves.
No, for the sake of her safety and his conscience, he would play along with them for now.
“What is your name?” He inquired, a simple question to cut through the gelid silence that had befallen them.
For an answer, she handed Tommy papers and a matching dog tag. Forgeries, most likely, and very good ones, which meant she spent money on those. Paying from her own pocket to go to war
They held each other's gaze for endless seconds. At long last, Tommy offered a handshake.
“Welcome to the 179th tunnelling company, Private John Anders. I’ll look after you”
Tommy hadn’t been able to stop thinking about the meeting. The person who sat before him, hunched and dirty and completely lost to the world, bore no resemblance to the fiery, and perhaps a little unhinged, woman that had gone through every length to infiltrate herself in the front line. Years of memory seemed to have been erased from her mind, but she recalled vividly everything she went through in her time in France. She did not know the day and year she lived in but could easily recite the names of every man she met from the 179th, as well as every technique they implemented to dig out the clay.
Tommy was sure that, if he were to put a shovel in her hands, she would unconsciously start digging.
He had partly placated his worries by placing a nurse in the asylum, one handpicked by Polly and paid out of his own pocket, to look after her. But that solution felt like not enough. Not by a mile. What that place did to her, what they were turning her into…Killing her bit by bit, stripping away her sanity to erase from her any memory she held of those weeks in the front. He still recalled the tunnel collapse, when the rain-soaked clay began to crumble over them like cold tar, obscuring their vision and sticking their feet to the ground. How the men dragged out each other, coated from head to toe in the reddish paste. She had tripped, her foot had gotten stuck, he couldn’t tell anymore. All he knew was that she had been left behind, and he had re-entered the tunnel for her. Feeling his way through the darkness, keeping an eye on the entrance, calling her name out; her fake name, for even in the face of danger he had the mental fortitude to remember the importance of her cover up. How she dropped her own facade, her fearful voice calling him as she stretched her arm towards him.
Tommy, Tommy, Tommy
“Tommy!” Billowed an angered female voice, dragging his thoughts back to the present time.
Tommy squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, attempting to dissipate the fogs of the past that laid over them. Because he was not in the tunnels, nor in the Western front. He was sitting in his office, behind his desk, nursing a whiskey in his hands and with Polly sitting across him, equally angered and perplexed at her nephew’s inattention.
“You know I don’t appreciate my words being wasted”. It sounded like a threat, but half of the things Polly said usually did “If you had no interest in this briefing, you could have rescheduled our meeting”.
“You hate your time being wasted” Tommy pointed out.
“Which is exactly what you’re doing now” She remarked.
Silence lingered in the office while Polly lit a new cigarette and Tommy downed his drink, which had already begun to warm in his hands. He stood to pour another, which he finished almost immediately.
“So” Polly began, exhaling the smoke in an elegant blow “Will you tell me what’s on your mind?” As usual, Polly could see through him as easily as one would do through a clean glass. It unnerved him sometimes, to be laid open so vulnerably under her watchful gaze.
“It’s nothing” Tommy sat before the fire; hands laced behind his head in an attempt to seem relaxed.
“There’s been many things on your mind, Tommy, and nothing has never been one of them”. Polly’s slender fingers ran across the glass bottles on the bar cart before settling on gin, pouring herself a more than generous serving.
“You’re thinking of her”.
Tommy immediately thought of denying it, but what was the point? When Polly knew, no one could tell her otherwise. And as much as he hated others meddling in his business, the words came tumbling before he could hold them back.
“I’m just worried. She’s not the same she used to be. I don’t know what they do to her in that place, but she’s changed. Those medicines they give her, and who knows what else they’ve done. You know the treatments” He shook his head, as if to dismiss everything he said “Just worried”
“It’s been many years since you last saw her. Everyone changed after the war. God knows you did”.
“This is not the same. They’re killing her there” Tommy stared up at the ceiling, as if hoping to find a solution to his problems in the plaster. Polly only watched him, pondering over her next words carefully. She only hoped she would not regret whatever her nephew chose to do next.
“If her wellbeing worries you so, you have to do the right thing”
He frowned, turning to look at her with confusion clear in his eyes. Polly sipped the gin, swirling it around her mouth as she gave it a last thought. This was one of the far and few times in which Tommy proved he had a heart, and that softened her as well.
“If you are worried, you act. If they’re killing her in there, you get her out”
~
The sun had finally shone upon the soldiers after nearly a week of bad weather, when rain and fog had turned the living conditions in the trenches into nearly inhumane. The soldiers were happy, for they would no longer shiver until their bones ached, and they would at last be able to put their clothes and themselves to dry. The tunnellers were less than pleased, for the sun had dried the clay into a solid wall, forcing them to exhaust their muscles to dig out chunks the size of their heads while the sweat ran down their temples and backs. Their comrades kept them supplied with water, but it felt like pouring water on a bottomless bucket.
Tommy worked side by side with her. Him. Her. Her identity still got tied in his mind, and he had to think through every word addressed in her direction for fear of blowing her cover. He watched her out of the corner of the eye as she swung the pickaxe with a strength and determination he never expected to see in a woman. Despite her resilience, Tommy worried about her, and kept a watchful gaze for any sign of exhaustion. She could not afford to be taken ill or injured, for a trip to the medical tent would be enough to unravel all her carefully crafted lies. He had to take care of her.
They both worked in the very end of the trench, and the sounds around them would conceal any hushed conversation. Tommy’s curiosity was stronger than his willpower
“Why?”
She didn’t react at first, and Tommy thought she either didn’t listen to him, or chose to ignore him, both of which were valid. But before he could ask again, she whispered back, keeping her manly tone
“Why what?”
“Why come here? What sane person would come here, on her own free will, to be forced into coldness and starvation? Risk your life, and for what purpose? Couldn’t find good places to dig back in England?”
She snorted, the sound quite lighter than any man’s laugh, so she concealed it by clearing her throat
“I wanted to serve my country, same as you. Is there any sin on that?”
“Is that what you tell yourself at night to sleep?”
She stopped digging for a moment, leaving the pickaxe embedded in the clay. She sat in the upturned bucket they used as stool, wiping the sweat from her brow with her sleeve. She couldn’t work shirtless, and their uniforms had been made to shield from the cold only. Tommy offered her water; she drank a sip and poured the rest on her head. He noticed her hair had grown again, and curled behind her ears. He made a mental note to give her a trim after nightfall.
“I just wanted to see what it was like. What it really was. They don’t tell us the truth back home. The newspapers make it sound as if the front is almost peaceful and the men are just laying back eating turkey while the Germans fall a hundred a day. I wanted the truth, and I want to write about it. Make a book of all the lies they fed us home.”
Her reasoning didn’t sit well with him. All that effort, that trouble, that risk, just to figure out if war was as bad as she thought? Mad, mad in the head this one.
“And what does your family think you’re doing away from home?”
She scratched her chin, in the same way Tommy did when he got a shaving rash from his blunt razors. She had picked up male mannerisms quite fast, particularly his own
“Not much family left to care what I do or stop doing. I said I’d come to France to volunteer as a nurse, but they most likely think I came as a camp follower. If they knew what I’m up to, they would have me committed to the closest madhouse”
“The madhouse is where you belong” Tommy replied, albeit jokingly, as he stopped his work to pull out a cigarette from his pocket. But he was interrupted by a ball of clay being tossed at his face with masterful precision, dampened for maximum effect.
“Shut up, Sergeant Major”
 ~
Blue skies and a pleasant breeze welcomed them at the gates of Arrow House. Tommy chose to drive this time, taking the advice from the doctor who would oversee her care, who suggested she be exposed to the least amount of people possible during the first days as she adjusted to life outside. Only Tommy, Frances and the nurse who would be her primary caretaker.
She stared at the world around her with such wonder, like a blind whose sight had been restored. Every tree, every bird, the very landscape that surrounded his manor brought such wonder onto her face, like a child with a Christmas tree. Her happiness almost managed to convince him that this was, in fact, a good idea.
When Polly told him to get her out, he knew she meant to put her in a home of her own, with a caretaker, and allow her to have a life of her own. And Tommy considered the idea, for a while. To place her in a nice neighbourhood, in a house with a garden and a balcony where she could enjoy the sun, with a nurse and maids and a car. But it didn’t sit right with him. She had been alone ever since they took her. Imprisoned until the war ended, and then released only to be taken to the madhouse at first chance. Not one familiar face around her for nearly a decade. No, Tommy wouldn’t take her out of a cage just to put her back in a smaller, prettier one. She needed someone to protect her. And for better or worse, that one could only be Tommy.
When the car came to a halt, she was the first one out, gaping at the imponent state which Tommy owned.
“Is this where you live, Sergeant Major?” The wonder was palpable in her voice. But the only thing Tommy noticed was that after everything she still couldn’t find it in her to call him by his name.
“2000 acres of land, of which 12 are just garden, and 750 acres of farming land”
She cocked an eyebrow, and in the amused twinkle of her eyes Tommy saw a glimpse of the one she used to be.
“Are you a farmer now, sir?” She disguised her laugh behind the handkerchief she insisted on carrying, looking down like a bashful schoolgirl.
Tommy pulled out a cigarette; he felt the corner of his lips pulled into the shadow of a smile, pleased to see her spirits lifted.
“My business is more focused on progress and modernity, but I wouldn’t reject the idea. Perhaps one day it’ll come in hand to have crops and cows”
“That would be the bloody day” She didn’t even try to hide her laughter this time “Our mighty Sergeant Major, dressed in overalls and with mud up to his knees shovelling cow shit”
“I find myself more interested in horse shit these days. Come on, I’ll show you around”
Tommy gave her a complete tour of the house and adjacent grounds, both to show her everything that would be at her complete disposal, and also as a way to show off how far he had come since they were both in the trenches, hunched over a meagre fire lit inside an empty can and sharing a homemade cigarette made from tobacco leftovers. Her eyes were wide with wonder, her fingers running over tapestries, leathers and carved wood with childlike wonder
He saved her room for last. A wide bedroom at the very back of the house, situated in a corner with plenty of windows. It had a view of the back of the state, so she could enjoy the gardens, the horses and the surrounding woods. In the corner with the most sunlight Tommy had placed a writing desk, supplied with paper, pens, ink and a brand new typewriter. Amidst everything sat a bunch of old and worn pages, all of different sizes and materials, kept together nicely with leather cord. She picked it up gingerly, running her thumb over the first page. Even though the paper was stained and dusty, the words could be read as easily as the first day she wrote them.
Tears flooded her eyes, and she hugged the improvised diary to her chest like it was a most prized possession. And perhaps it was. She turned towards Tommy, a mixture of bewilderment and eternal gratitude plastered on her features
“Where did you get it? I thought they would have had it destroyed when they locked me up”
Tommy only smirked, pulling out a cigarette from the golden case he carried “Remember what I told you? Always make sure someone owes you something”
That gesture, so small yet so meaningful, shifted something inside her. Her eyes brimmed with tears she attempted to fight, but they won in the end. She practically jumped into Tommy’s arms, hugging him with the eagerness of a person who has been denied a caring touch for far too long.
“How will I ever be able to thank you enough, Sergeant Major?”
His free arm circled her frame, returning the gesture
“You can start by calling me Tommy”
~
Worry crept up Tommy’s spine as the higher ups did their rounds to inspect the work on the freshly dug trenches. It had been three days since she last showed up, and he would soon run out of lies to cover up for “Private Anders’” absence.
As much as she tried to deny it, finally the harsh conditions had caught up to her. Her health had gone down a slippery slope with the arrival of winter. First it had been just a fretless dry cough, easily softened with pine tea. But then came the bone pains, the headaches, the constant fatigue. The dampness of her safe haven had seeped into her bones and caused some sort of rheumatism. Tommy noticed the swelling of her hands as they struggled to grip the pickaxe. Her hair began to fall out in clumps.
The shivers and the fever had finally knocked her off her feet. She had been unable to leave her cottage, which in turn worsened her condition even further. Tommy had tried to bring her something more substantial to eat, but she seemed unable to eat more than a few bites of stale bread dipped in some coffee the Americans had given them. Dry, suffocating coughs racked her body until she had to gasp for air, her teeth and lips speckled with blood.
“This is the end line” She had mumbled weakly during the third night, while Tommy tried to desperately convince her to light a fire to warm and dry the place
“No. You are not going to die. I won’t allow it. I told you I’d take care of you” He stated firmly, sitting on the floor by her side with her hand in his, his other one cupping her feverish cheek. He had been in a similar spot, not too long ago. Watching life fade away from a young woman’s eyes. He refused to let her die, not like that, not there where he would have to dump her body in the river.
“I am not going to die” She stated with a conviction her current condition didn’t match “But to survive, I have to turn myself in”
The idea of handing her over to the war office filled Tommy with panic
“No, no you cannot do that. Do you have any idea what they could do to you? Your best prospect would be to be thrown in jail, to be given 10 years for impersonating a soldier. And that’s if the higher ups are feeling compassionate” He shuddered at thinking what those wolves would do to her “Listen, I get leave tomorrow night. I’ll go to the nearest town, get some medicine, maybe I can pawn some things and get you a new blanket. You-”
“No” With great effort, she propped herself up in one elbow. Tommy couldn’t help but notice the strands of hair left in the pillow “I’ve implicated you long enough. The excuses and lies you have made for me are enough to have you dishonourably discharged and tried. You have done everything you could for me, and for that I am  forever indebted to you, Sergeant Major. This next chapter in my life, I have to write it alone”
She sounded dejected and disappointed, as if she had failed some unwritten expectation of her adventure. But Tommy thought quite the opposite. He only felt admiration for the things she had put herself through in order to tell her story. He still thought she was mad in the head, but in a completely different way
“Will you mention my name when you write your book?” He asked jokingly, helping her lay back down slowly, pulling the ragged blanket up to her chin
“Only if you want to be jailed next to me for helping an intruder” She laughed, but the sound was cut short by another fit of coughing “I’ll dedicate it to you, Sergeant Major. Everything I write and do will be because of you”
~
Tommy awoke with a startle. His eyes were wide open, darting around the room as he tried to locate the source of the disturbance. Everything seemed to be calm in his room. And then it happened again. A dry thud in the wall, followed by a muffled scream.
In a heartbeat he was out of bed, gun in hand. He followed the noises, which seemed to grow louder the closer he got to her bedroom. The door was ajar, allowing a sliver of moonlight to project in the floor, in which Tommy could see two shadows moving.
He stormed inside, gun ready to fire. But he didn’t find an intruder, no. Just her, on her knees, banging her fists against the wall as she screamed. Her nurse stood by her side, amidst a disaster of clothes and books and other objects, unsuccessfully trying to coax her back to bed
“Miss, please. The hour is quite late. You need sleep”
“No, no. The walls are coming down. We have to get out, the roof’s collapsing!” She yelled desperately, clawing at the wall trying to dig herself out of some dark place that only existed in her head. He saw her nails tear the wallpaper with ferocity. And then he noticed the nurse unlocking a cabinet and pulling out a syringe
“No” He said almost immediately as he put a firm hand on the nurse’s arm “Go to bed. I have this”
“But Mr. Shelby!”
“I said go. Leave me with her”
The nurse doubted, holding his gaze, but chose to exit the room, closing the door behind her.
Tommy walked towards her slowly, afraid he would startle her. He gingerly touched her arm, but his presence went as unnoticed as a speck of dust. He called out her name, again and again, without success. The mud had seeped deep in her brain, as it had done his, and blocked her senses from the outside world. In order to get through, Tommy had to get into the mud with her
He stood tall, in martial position, hands behind his back
“Private Anders!”
Quick like a lightning bolt, she stood up and saluted in a firm position. Tears streaked her face and her entire body quivered like an autumn leaf
“Sergeant Major sir!”
“At ease, private. You are relieved of your duties. Time to go back home”
Like the lifting of a spell, her eyes glossed over as she blinked slowly, looking around her from the bed, to the things she had thrown around in haste, and finally towards Tommy. Her lower lip quivered
“What is happening to me?”
Her knees faltered. Tommy lunged forward before she could hit herself, coming down to the floor with her held in his arms. She burrowed herself in his chest, her fingers clinging to his shirt as she wept, her body racked by sobs. Tommy shushed her quietly, his fingers carding through her hair
“Don’t cry. I’ll take care of you”

Little Dove
Quinn Hughes x Reader
a:n Here is part 2, the only thing I could think of while writing this was 'The Gold' by Phoebe Bridgers. I think it really speaks for how y/n sees the situation and her life at the moment.

Summary: He's everything she wants. He's everything she wished she had. All she wanted was him. The hot and cold game has finally reached its limit.
Word Count - 5046
The sleek, black limo glided up the long, winding driveway, its polished exterior gleaming under the warm sunlight. As it approached the magnificent mansion, Y/N couldn't help but marvel at the opulent surroundings.
The meticulously manicured lawn stretched out before her, a lush carpet of vibrant green grass that looked almost too perfect to be real.
In the center of the sprawling grounds, a grand fountain stood tall, its crystal-clear water cascading down the intricately carved stone tiers, creating a soothing symphony of gentle splashes.
As the limo came to a stop near the impressive front steps, a group of well-dressed helpers emerged from the mansion's large, ornate doors. They stood at attention, their crisp uniforms and shoes polished.
Just then, the front doors swung open, and Y/N's grandmother stepped out, a vision of elegance and grace. She was dressed in an all-white ensemble, the flowing fabric of her dress billowing gently in the breeze.
Her delicate hands were adorned with pristine white gloves, and a strand of exquisite pearls rested against her neck, catching the light and adding to her air of sophistication.
The driver swiftly exited the limo and rushed to Y/N's side, opening the door with a practiced flourish. He offered his hand, assisting Y/N and her mother out of the vehicle with the utmost care and reverence.
As they walked closer to the steps, Y/N's grandmother's face lit up with a warm, genuine smile. "Oh, darling, how I've longed to see you," she exclaimed, her voice filled with affection. "Come here, little dove."
Y/N couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion as she stepped into her grandmother's embrace. The older woman's arms wrapped around her, enveloping her in a comforting warmth that seemed to chase away all the stress and disappointment she had been carrying. It had been so long since anyone in her family had shown her such pure, unconditional love and acceptance.
Y/N breathed in the sweet, familiar scent of her grandmother's perfume, a delicate blend of chamomile and sugar.
The softness of her grandmother's gloves against her skin was a soothing contrast to the cold, impersonal interactions she was used to with her parents.
Around them, the grandeur of the mansion seemed to fade into the background, the lavish furnishings and priceless works of art becoming mere footnotes in the presence of Y/N and her grandmother.
Once they separated Y/N's grandmother cupped her face with her gloved hands, her eyes shining with pride and adoration. "Let me look at you, my dear," she said softly, taking in every detail of Y/N's appearance. "You've grown into such a beautiful young woman."
The posse entered the sun room, Y/N was struck by the sheer elegance of the space. The room was flooded with natural light, the sun's rays filtering through the large, floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a breathtaking view of the meticulously landscaped gardens beyond.
In the center of the room, a grand table was set with the finest china and silverware, each place setting arranged with precision and care. The aroma of freshly prepared delicacies filled the air, making Y/N's mouth water in anticipation.
As they took their seats, the conversation flowed easily, punctuated by laughter and the clinking of glasses. However, after a while, Cherise turned to Y/N with a knowing smile and asked her to accompany her for a walk in the garden.
Arm in arm, the two women strolled through the lush, meticulously maintained grounds. The garden was a true work of art, with winding paths that led through a maze of fragrant rose bushes, towering topiaries, and bubbling fountains.
Cherise broached the subject that had been weighing on her mind. "Tell me, dear, when will you settle down?" she asked, her voice laced with concern. "It hurts me to see you alone."
Y/N shook her head, a smile playing on her lips. "I'm not alone, grandmother," she replied, her voice soft but filled with contentment. "I am with someone. Nothing serious, but things are going smoothly now. He makes me happy."
The steady click of their heels against the pavement punctuated their words. Cherise listened intently, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Then give me a grandbaby already, if you're so happy," she teased, her laughter ringing out like a bell in the garden. Y/N couldn't help but join in, their laughter mingling with the chirping of the birds and the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze.
Y/N smiled softly as her grandmother continued, her words filled with wisdom and understanding. "I'm only joking, little dove. I would like to meet him, maybe when things get 'serious,' I guess. I want you to feel love like I have with your grandfather. You deserve that, not some beneficial marriage like your mother and father. I don't know where I went wrong with her."
Y/N nodded along, finding no reason to disagree with her grandmother's sentiment. She knew that her parents' relationship was one of convenience and status, lacking the warmth and genuine connection she craved. "I think you'd like him," she said, a hint of hope in her voice.
As they neared the house, Dedra rushed down the stairs, her face tight with impatience. "Let's go, we have to get back to work," she demanded, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Y/N stepped into her bedroom, exhaustion weighing heavily on her shoulders. She slipped out of her clothes and into a comfortable robe, the soft fabric caressing her skin. Settling down at her vanity, she began removing her makeup, the process of wiping away the day's mask a soothing ritual.
As she reached for her phone, she noticed a message from Quinn. Her heart skipped a beat as she opened the conversation, eager to connect with him after the emotionally draining day.
Y/N: I wish you were here with me. Today was intense.
Quinn: I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it?
Y/N: It's just family stuff. They have all these expectations, and I feel like I'm constantly disappointing them.
They texted back and forth, Y/N continued getting ready, applying her makeup with practiced precision. Once she finished her base, she stood up and slipped into the red dress she had chosen for their date. The fabric hugged her curves perfectly, accentuating her figure in all the right places.
She admired her reflection in the mirror, a small smile playing on her lips as she imagined Quinn's reaction. Just then, her phone buzzed with another message.
Quinn: I'm outside.
Y/N felt a flutter of excitement mixed with nerves as she grabbed her purse and made her way to the front door. She stepped outside, the cool evening air kissing her skin as she walked towards Quinn's car.
He had his windows rolled down, a smile on his face as he watched her approach. His eyes roamed over her body appreciatively, taking in the sight of her in the stunning red dress.
"Looking good," he said, his voice smooth and filled with admiration.
Y/N felt a blush creep onto her cheeks, a mixture of pleasure and uncertainty swirling within her. “Thanks hottie.” she said as she slid into the passenger seat. She knew that her feelings for Quinn were growing stronger each day, but the fear of him not wanting her scared beyond comprehension.
Quinn pulled out of Y/N's driveway, he glanced over at her, his gaze lingering for a few seconds. The curiosity in his eyes was evident. "So where is this restaurant you were telling me about or is it some kind of surprise?" she asked, leaning over the middle console.
He smiled mysteriously, enjoying the playful anticipation that hung in the air between them. "You'll just have to wait and see," he teased. Quinn chuckled at her betrayed expression, shaking his head in amusement as he focused on the road ahead.
conversation flowed easily between them, filled with laughter and the occasional playful jab. Even though they talked about nothing of great importance, Y/N found herself thoroughly enjoying the simple pleasure of Quinn's company.
city lights flashed by the windows, painting the interior of the car with a kaleidoscope of colors. Y/N leaned back in her seat, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her.
As they continued driving, y/n’s curiosity got the better of her once more. "Come on, Y/N, give me a hint," she pleaded, eyes sparkling with amusement. "I'm dying to know where you're taking me."
Quinn laughed, the sound filled with genuine joy. "Patience, dear," he chided gently, reaching over to give her hand a reassuring squeeze. "I promise it'll be worth the wait."
Y/N felt a shiver run down her spine as Quinn's strong hands grasped her waist, his touch both thrilling and comforting. She looked up at him, her eyes meeting his, and saw a glimmer of affection and excitement reflected back at her.
"Lead the way," she said softly, a smile playing on her lips as she allowed him to guide her towards the restaurant.
As they approached the entrance, Y/N couldn't help but marvel at the grandeur of the establishment. The facade was a masterpiece of modern architecture. The name of the restaurant was emblazoned above the doors in elegant, golden script.
Quinn's arm remained securely around her waist as they stepped through the doors. The interior of the restaurant was just as breathtaking as the exterior, with plush carpets, glittering chandeliers, and rich, velvet draperies.
The hostess led them to their table, she glanced at Quinn, taking in the way his suit hugged his athletic frame and the confident, easy smile that played on his lips. When they were seated, Quinn reached across the table and took her hand in his, his fingers intertwining with hers. She squeezed his hand in return.
They perused the menu, discussing the various options and sharing bites of each other's dishes. Quinn enthusiastically shared his plans for preparing his hockey team for the upcoming season. He spoke about new training regimens, team-building exercises, and strategies he hoped to implement.
Y/N listened intently, her eyes focused on Quinn as he passionately described his goals and aspirations.
However, at one point, Quinn glanced over at Y/N, a flicker of doubt crossing his features. He wondered if she was truly interested in the intricacies of his hockey career or if he was boring her with the details. Y/N, sensing his uncertainty, quickly broke into a smile and laughed, hoping to ease his worries.
"Everything about you interests me, Quinn," she said earnestly, reaching across the table to take his hand in hers. "I could never get bored of you. Being around you makes me happy, ya know?"
The sincerity in her voice was evident, but Quinn's reaction was not what Y/N had expected. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his hand stiffening under her touch. An awkward silence fell between them, the air thick with tension.
Quinn cleared his throat, his eyes darting around the restaurant as if searching for an escape. "Y/N," he began, his voice strained, "I... I think we need to talk."
Y/N felt her heart sink, a knot forming in the pit of her stomach. She withdrew her hand from his, folding her arms across her chest as if to protect herself from the words she knew were coming.
"I care about you, Y/N. I really do," Quinn continued, his gaze finally settling on her face. "But I need you to understand that I'm not looking for anything too serious right now. I thought we were on the same page about that."
Y/N nodded slowly, trying to swallow the lump that had formed in her throat. She knew Quinn had been clear about his intentions from the start, but somewhere along the way, she had allowed herself to hope for more.
"I know," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I didn't mean to pressure you."
Quinn sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's not your fault, Y/N. I should have been more clear. I just... I don't want to hurt you."
The words hung heavy in the air between them, a reminder of the fragility of their connection. Y/N forced a smile, trying to lighten the mood.
"It's okay, Quinn. We can take things slow. I'm just happy to be here with you." Quinn returned her smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. The rest of the evening was spent in polite conversation, but the earlier ease and warmth between them had dissipated.
The pulsing rhythms of the music filled the crowded nightclub, the bass thumping through the floor and vibrating in Y/N's chest as she carefully navigated her way back to the booth where her friends were waiting. In her hands, she balanced a tray laden with six colorful cocktails, each one adorned with a tiny umbrella and a slice of fruit.
Y/N couldn't help but smile at the sight of her five best friends, all dressed to the nines and ready for a night of fun and laughter. She shimmied into the booth, sliding in next to Raven, her closest confidante.
"Ladies, I present to you six drinks for six beautiful women," Y/N announced, her voice rising above the din of the club. She passed out the cocktails, each one met with a chorus of excited cheers and appreciative nods.
The women wasted no time in downing their drinks, the sweet, fruity flavors masking the potent alcohol within. As they finished, they let out exaggerated gasps and howls of delight, the alcohol already beginning to work its magic and loosen their inhibitions.
Raven leaned in close to Y/N, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "So, see anyone you like?" she drawled out, her voice low and conspiratorial.
Y/N surveyed the dance floor, her gaze roving over the writhing bodies and the flashing lights. She had to admit, there were plenty of attractive men in the club tonight, their bodies moving in perfect sync with the pulsing beat.
"A few," she admitted, a sly smile playing on her lips. "But no one interesting enough to take home, that's for sure."
Raven giggled at Y/N's response, her laughter infectious and carefree. She scanned the room herself, her eyes suddenly widening as she spotted someone across the way.
"Well, I see one eyeing you up over there," she said, pointing discreetly in the direction of the bar.
Y/N followed Raven's finger, her gaze landing on a devastatingly handsome man with curly black hair and a chiseled jawline. He was leaning against the bar, his back pressed against the polished wood, and his eyes were locked on Y/N, a smoldering intensity in his gaze.
Y/N felt a flush of heat rush through her body as she met his stare, her heart skipping a beat in her chest. She raised her hand in a small wave, a coy smile playing on her lips.
But even as she flirted with the stranger across the room, Y/N couldn't shake the nagging feeling of guilt that tugged at the back of her mind. She thought of Quinn and the uncertain status of their relationship.
"I don't know, Raven," she said, her voice tinged with hesitation. "I haven't ended things with Quinn yet. It would feel wrong to pursue someone else."
A collective groan sounded from the table, as her friends all chimed in with their opinions.
"Girl, you're single. Do what you want," one said, her voice firm and encouraging.
"Quinn's not here tonight. What he doesn't know won't hurt him," another added, her tone mischievous and daring.
Y/N bit her lip, torn between her desire to let loose and have fun and her loyalty to the man she cared for.
She knew things with Quinn were complicated, that he had been distant and evasive in recent days. But still, the thought of betraying his trust, even in a moment of drunken weakness, made her stomach churn.
As she sat there, surrounded by the pulsing energy of the club and the encouraging words of her friends, Y/N knew she had a decision to make. She could play it safe, go home alone and wait for Quinn to come around. Or she could take a chance, let herself get swept up in the moment and see where the night might lead her.
With a deep breath and a final glance at the handsome stranger across the room, Y/N made her choice.
The heat of the crowded dance floor was almost unbearable as Y/N swayed to the pulsing beat, her body moving in perfect sync with the mysterious man from the bar. His hands were on her hips, his touch searing through the thin fabric of her dress and setting her skin ablaze.
The dance floor was a sea of moving bodies, gyrating and swaying to the music as the multicolored lights flashed and swirled overhead, casting a kaleidoscope of hues across the sweat-slicked skin of the dancers.
Y/N felt the heat rising from the packed bodies around her, the air thick with the scent of perfume, alcohol, and pheromones. She moved in perfect rhythm with the mysterious man from the bar, their bodies impossibly close as they lost themselves in the primal, sensual flow of the music.
His hands roamed over her curves, his touch both electrifying and possessive as he pulled her flush against his muscular frame. Y/N could feel the hard planes of his chest pressing against her back, his hips grinding against hers in a way that sent shivers of desire racing down her spine.
Clinking glasses and raucous laughter from the nearby bar mixed with the pounding bass, creating a heady cocktail of sensory overload.
Y/N felt dizzy with the rush of it all, her head spinning from the alcohol and the intoxicating presence of the man behind her. As the song reached its crescendo, he leaned in close, his hot breath tickling the sensitive skin of her neck as he mumbled something in her ear, his words almost lost in the pounding music.
Y/N turned in his hold, pressing her back against his chest and feigning ignorance. "Sorry, the music is really loud. I can't hear you," she shouted over the din, a coy smile playing on her lips.
She felt his chest rumble with laughter, the vibrations sending shivers down her spine. He tightened his grip on her arm, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them.
"I said, come home with me," he repeated, his voice low and husky, filled with unmistakable desire. Y/N's heart raced at his bold suggestion. She knew she should say no, that leaving with a stranger was a dangerous game. But the alcohol in her system and the electric chemistry between them made it hard to think straight.
She turned to face him, a playful shrug on her shoulders. "I can't leave my friends alone tonight," she said, her voice apologetic. "But how about I give you my number instead?"
The man's face hardened, a flash of annoyance crossing his features. He scoffed, as if offended by her suggestion, and shook his head in disbelief.
"Fine," he said, his tone clipped as he extended his phone towards her. "Put it in."
Y/N took the device, her fingers trembling slightly as she typed in a fake number, purposely transposing the digits. She couldn't risk giving him her real contact information, not when she was still unsure of her feelings for Quinn.
She handed the phone back and fixed him with a stern look. "Now, shut up and dance," she said, her voice firm and unyielding. The man's eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger burning in their depths. He grabbed her wrist, his grip tight and possessive.
"You think you can just tease me like that and walk away?" he growled, his face inches from hers. "I don't take kindly to being led on." Y/N's heart hammered in her chest, fear and adrenaline coursing through her veins. She tried to pull away, but his hold was too strong.
"Let go of me," she said, her voice shaking with a mix of anger and fear. "I don't owe you anything."
Around them, the other dancers continued to move, oblivious to the drama unfolding in their midst. Y/N's friends were nowhere to be seen, lost in the sea of writhing bodies and flashing lights.
The man's grip tightened, his fingers digging into her skin. "No one rejects me!”
With a sudden burst of strength, Y/N wrenched her arm free, stumbling backwards and nearly losing her balance. She turned on her heel, pushing through the crowd as she desperately searched for her friends.
Her heart was racing, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps.
Y/N stumbled out of the nightclub, her heart pounding and her head spinning from the encounter. The cool night air hit her skin, providing a momentary relief from the stifling heat of the dance floor.
She leaned against the rough brick wall, her hands shaking as she fumbled with her phone, scrolling through her contacts until she found Quinn's name.
She hesitated for a moment, her thumb hovering over the call button. Things between her and Quinn had been strained lately, and she wasn't sure if he would even answer. But as a wave of nausea washed over her, the severity of the situation hit her, and she knew she needed help.
Y/N pressed the button, holding the phone to her ear as she tried to steady her breathing. The line rang once, twice, and then a third time before Quinn's voice finally filled her ear.
"Hello?" he answered, the sound of music and laughter echoing in the background.
"Quinn," Y/N said, her voice trembling. "I... I need you."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and for a moment, Y/N feared he would hang up on her. But then Quinn's voice returned, this time laced with concern.
"Y/N? What's wrong? Where are you?"
She took a shuddering breath, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes. "I'm at Taipei," she said, her words coming out in a rush. "I... I was dancing with this guy, and he... he tried to... I don't know, I just... I need you to come get me. Please."
There was another pause, and Y/N could hear the sound of Quinn moving, the background noise fading as he stepped away from wherever he was. "I'm on my way," he said, his voice firm and reassuring. "Stay where you are, okay? I'll be there as soon as I can."
Y/N nodded, even though she knew he couldn't see her. "Okay," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of her own heartbeat.
As the call ended, Y/N slid down the wall, hugging her knees to her chest as the tears finally spilled over. She felt sick to her stomach.
"Y/N!"
She looked up, her vision blurry with tears, to see Quinn running towards her, his face etched with worry. He dropped to his knees beside her, his arms instinctively wrapping around her trembling frame.
"I'm here," he murmured, his voice soft and soothing.
Y/N clung to him, burying her face in his chest as the emotions she had been holding back finally broke free. She sobbed openly, her body shaking with the force of her tears as Quinn held her close, his hands rubbing gentle circles on her back.
Y/N's voice trembled as she spoke, her words laced with a mixture of sadness and desperation. "What have you been doing? It's been days, Quinn. Days without a single word from you."
Quinn froze, caught off guard by her sudden questioning. He stumbled over his words, trying to find the right response. "I... I've been busy, Y/N. You know how it is."
She shook her head, tears streaming down her face. "No, I don't know how it is. You don't want to talk to me? Is that what this is?" Her voice cracked, the pain in her heart spilling out into her words. "I don't want to do this with you anymore if you don't want to be with me eventually, Quinn. I can't keep going on like this."
Quinn reached out to her, his eyes pleading. "Y/N, please. Let's not do this now. We'll talk in the morning, okay? When we've both had a chance to clear our mind, and we’re home in bed."
But Y/N couldn't hold back the flood of emotions any longer. She looked at him, her eyes searching his face for any sign of the affection she so desperately craved. "Do you feel anything for me, Quinn? Even just a little?"
He sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "Of course I do Y/N..."
"Please," she begged, her voice barely above a whisper. "Just be honest with me then. Am I not good enough? Is that why you've been pulling away?"
Quinn's heart ached at the sight of her pain, but he couldn't find the words to comfort her. He knew that his own doubts and fears had been holding him back, preventing him from fully committing to their relationship.
"It's not that, Y/N. It's just... complicated."
She let out a bitter laugh, the sound cutting through the cool night air. "Complicated. Right. That's what it always is with you, isn't it?"
Y/N wrapped her arms around herself, suddenly feeling incredibly small and vulnerable. She looked up at the sky, the stars blurring together through her tears. "I can't keep doing this, Quinn. I can't keep going on dates and sleeping with you, only to be pushed away. It hurts too much."
Quinn's voice wavered as he spoke, his words laced with a deep, aching sadness. "Y/N, please just let me explain at a better time."
But Y/N couldn't hold back the flood of emotions that threatened to consume her. She looked at him, her eyes shimmering with tears that refused to fall.
"If I could go back to the night we met, I would never have agreed to this," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her own heart. "You make me feel so loved and like you care about me, then you ignore me when I say anything that sounds like I care about you."
The night seemed to grow colder around them, the stars fading into the inky blackness of the sky.
Quinn took a step towards her, his hand outstretched. "I don't mean to hurt you. At all," he said, his voice cracking with emotion.
"What I want is complicated, Y/N. You're so good to me. If I allowed myself to ruin it, I would never forgive myself." Quinn felt his own heart constrict, the depth of her pain hitting him like a physical blow.
Y/N shook her head, a single tear finally escaping and rolling down her cheek. "But don't you see? You're already ruining it. By pushing me away, by refusing to let yourself feel what I know is there."
He wanted so badly to take her in his arms, to promise her that everything would be okay. But he knew that he couldn't make that promise, not when he was still so unsure of his own heart.
Y/N's shoulders shook with silent sobs, her arms wrapped tightly around herself as if to hold the pieces of her shattered heart together. "I don't need you to be perfect, Quinn. I just need you to be honest with me. To stop running away from what we both know is true."
She turned to walk away, Quinn reached out and grabbed her hand. With a gentle tug, he pulled her into his chest, his arms instinctively wrapping around her trembling frame. Y/N's breath caught in her throat as Quinn's lips brushed against her forehead.
Quinn inhaled deeply, breathing in the familiar scent of her hair, the warmth of her body against his own. Before Y/N had a chance to protest, to pull away from his embrace, Quinn gently guided her towards his car.
He opened the passenger side door, his hand resting on the small of her back as he helped her inside. With a tender touch, he reached over and clipped her seatbelt, his fingers lingering on the soft skin of her neck for just a moment longer than necessary.
As Quinn slid into the driver's seat, he could feel the weight of Y/N's gaze on him but he couldn't find the words to reassure her, couldn't find the courage to voice the depths of his own feelings.
Instead, he put the car in drive, the engine humming to life as they pulled away from the curb. Y/N turned her head towards the window, her eyes fixed on the expanse of the city that stretched out before them. Tears slipped silently down her cheeks, the glittering lights of the skyline blurring together through her watery vision.
The drive was silent, the only sound the steady thrum of the engine and the distant wail of sirens in the night. Quinn's hands gripped the steering wheel, his knuckles white with tension as he navigated the familiar streets that led to Y/N's home.
The sight of her own front door, the promise of solitude and comfort, was a balm to her aching heart. Quinn cut the engine, the sudden silence deafening in the confines of the car.
He moved quickly, exiting the driver's side and rounding the front of the car to open Y/N's door. She stumbled slightly as she stepped out, her legs unsteady beneath her. Quinn's hand found the small of her back once more, his touch a gentle guide as they walked together towards her front door.
With a sense of déjà vu, Quinn reached into his pocket and pulled out the spare key Y/N had given him months ago, he slid the key into the lock, the click of the tumblers echoing loudly in the stillness of the night.
As the door swung open, Y/N stepped inside, the familiar scent of home enveloping her like a warm embrace. She turned to face Quinn, her eyes searching his face for any sign of the love and affection she so desperately craved.
But his expression was unreadable, his own emotions carefully guarded behind a mask of stoic resolve.

Kinktober 2023 day 4
Hypnotizing Ecstasy
Threesome, food play with....
Tumblr media
Fem! reader (Chief). Also contains blindfolding and overstimulation.
W.C: 8k+ (yes, this is why it took so long and I planned to have it as the last part of Kinktober but here it is)~
Some context for the story and how I got the idea for it, pls read before proceeding:
This takes place at the banquet in the Cabernet event with Chief attending it with Chameleon as companion. Since the event showed Sinners other than Hecate and Hella being used (finally) I thought of scenarios with other Sinners in it and as the event progressed, I felt Chameleon could be really useful. This is like a rewriting of the event with some changes and the smut.
Also note this Chameleon is 100% compliance so she's quite affectionate and rather obedient (if you know her performance in serving team at 100% then you know what I mean), but don't worry she still has her signature traits. Okay, that's the main points to keep in mind. Enjoy~
The sun blazed over your head as you set foot in the luxurious banquet. Held at Ogyvia Villa, it was an insatiable fiesta for the rich and powerful to indulge in their most trivial desires. On delicacies and wealth, they fattened themselves, unconcerned with the darkness knowingly ignored. You had seen it all and were bitter knowing that society's pigs lived untroubled.
Half of DisCity burned beyond thrill and guarded walls. In a scene like this, it was all too convenient to forget. Your vision was filled with people of the highest magnificence, but in the midst of it all, they weren't dressed as magnificently as their status conveyed.
After all, this was a place to let loose. The elite of DisCity congregated to live away the night free and easy, but your purpose here was different. A red-haired princess had summoned you, and you would endure a demon- or two- to fetch her lost treasures.
"Quite a passionate gathering you have brought me to, Chief~"
Your companion, Chameleon, the best psychologist in DisCity and a self-proclaimed psychopath commented from behind. You turned around to face your companion and were immediately caught by surprise.
"Hm, what's wrong? Have I rendered you speechless from my appearance, Chief?~"
Chameleon spoke with a smirk, watching how your gaze trailed all over her body. There she stood wearing a swimsuit, the appropriate attire for the gathering. But you weren't sure if it was an appropriate attire for your heart. Her nipples were covered with thin layers of non-padded black fabric and the white straps supporting them extended from hoops and crossed at her neck.
You admired her carelessness when taking risks, they looked as though they were about to snap and her breasts break free. The lower had thin, black straps leading up from her underwear, tied at her sides and the black fabric was again small and revealing. It was accented with diagonal strips of white and left nothing to your imagination, instead handing plenty for your eyes to devour.
In an intentionally failed attempt to cover, she wrapped a transparent sarong cloth around her waist that draped till her right knee. Her dark blonde hair shone against the sunlight and lightly waved with the breeze along with her signature red lipstick completing her already perfect look.
"Chief? My dear Chief?~" Chameleon continuously called out until you finally snapped out of your trance and cleared your throat before averting your gaze, causing her to chuckle.
"I didn't even use my powers and you were already hypnotised. Your expression is so easy to read, I don't even need to ask how I look~"
"A-Ahem, sorry. I have just never seen you this way, I was a bit shocked...."
"Hehe~ Shocked isn't the correct term. You know that too, don't you, my dear Chief?~"
You blushed more and turned around without replying. She chuckled then walked up to you and suddenly wrapped her arms around your torso, her fingers grazing over your exposed belly.
"You don't look bad yourself, Chief~" her hushed voiced brushed past you ear, sending shivers down your skin.
"In fact, I'd say I was the one shocked seeing you wear something so revealing in public."
"....We were instructed to fit in perfectly and this is the most suitable swimsuit the bureau could get."
Chameleon smiled to herself and pecked your cheek before walking to your side and holding your hand.
"Shall we go, Chief? I believe we have a client to attend to~"
You nodded with a smile and walked into the main area, only to be surrounded by a plethora of high-headed people dancing and partying to their heart's content. You thought it would be a formal gathering of elegance but there was nothing elegant about your surroundings, except perhaps the woman beside you who managed to look that way even in something rather skimpy.
You were bombarded by a summery cacophony of colorful swimsuits, pool toys, splashing pool water and the sweet scent of watermelon and mango. You feel embarrassed wearing the revealing swimsuit hence pull your buttonless shirt together to cover as much as possible while heading forward.
"Now then, about our client, do you happen to know her, Chameleon?"
"Hmm...as much as I'm uninterested in the culinary world, I do know the 'princess' of the Francs indeed. If you live in Eastside long enough then you are bound to know of these families one way or the other."
"I understand...."
"So, your purpose for bringing me here was to use me, my dear Chief?~"
"That...don't put it that way."
Chameleon chuckled, "I will know your true intention without you saying a word, only if you allow me to~"
"Chameleon....please, I just—"
"Shh~" Chameleon's index finger brushed your lips, effectiviely shushing you as she leaned closer to your face, "Don't fret so much, Chief. I will help as you want, as long as you compensate me right~"
"Of course, I will."
Chameleon smiled then stepped back and took a look around the venue when a waiter approached you both to welcome you and hand you a manual about the party, you went through the manual and had a basic understanding of the venue but were still clueless of your client's whereabouts and how to complete the mission.
"What's the plan, Chief? Do we have to mingle around and gather information on our client or would you prefer to meet our client rightaway?"
"Meet our client rightaway? What do you mean?"
Chameleon gently held your chin and moved your face to the right and your eyes catch the figure of a redhead approaching from not far away. The crowd quieted down for a moment, then erupted like wine being poured into a sizzling steak pan. The people surged forward and surrounded the woman, trying to chat with her from all sides.
"Hm~ Asking us to fit in perfectly when she stands out herself, hehe~" Chameleon chuckled in a low voice while your eyes were fixated on the woman in front who was practically a celebrity at this point, Cabernet Franc.
"Why....why would she want the MBCC to retrieve her treasures when she could have this place turned upside down by ordering these people for it. I'm sure there are countless people in line hoping to gain favors with her."
"Well, as someone with mastery on human behavior and emotions, I can present you 2 hypothesis for that. First one is stated in the question itself; she may not want to attract unnecessary attention into her private matters and why would she willingly give someone a chance over her?"
"....And the second?"
"The second....these 'treasures' that we have to find may not be any normal treasures. It derives from the first hypothesis, they may be something valuable and personal that she'd rather hire an inconspicuous agency like ours."
"I see....that makes sense."
Suddenly, Cabernet looked at you from the distance as if she overheard your conversation. She then smiled and gave a faint, barely noticeable nod before someone approached her and started talking. The crowd was dazzled by her presence and missed no chance to get her attention, some performed outlandish actions like jumping in the pool from great heights and making a big splash.
"This is ridiculous, we can't even talk to her this way...." you pondered when suddenly some people approached you and attempted to shove you into the pool under the guise of having fun. You tried your best to refute and even looked at Chameleon hoping for some help but she simply watched in amusement, clearly enjoying you become so flustered.
"The hell- aah!" your wrist was pulled and you fell into the depths of the pool. You were drained of air instantly as ice-cold water overwhelmed your senses, you wanted to swim to the surface but couldn't move your limbs at all as if someone had restrained them. You heard a strange voice in your ear but were in no mood to care about what it, the force under your feet seemed to be conscious as it dragged you down.
"Don't worry, Chief, you will be fine." it was Chameleon's voice in your head, you were sure of it. But it wasn't her who spoke earlier, clearly something else was happening too. Before you knew it, your lips were gently parted and something cold and sweet flowed from the tip of your tongue down your throat, calming your restless emotions.
You forcefully opened your eyes and found yourself resting on someone's lap. Crimson, faintly grape-scented hair brushed against the tip of your nose as you gaze up and find a pair of silvery, violet-tinted eyes gazing at you with concern.
"Are you alright? Do you feel a bit better?" the woman asked with a faint smile and you quickly sat up to realize it was her, the center of attention just moments ago.
"Ms Cabernet...."
"Mhm, you had a heat stroke and fainted. But don't worry, you are fine now."
You squinted your eyes when suddenly a pair of arms was wrapped around your neck followed by Chameleon embracing you tightly.
"Y/n! Y/n! Are you okay?!~" She buried her face in your neck and was shouting desperately. She was acting, you knew she was acting. But damn, she was good at it.
"Y-Yes, don't worry, Chameleon...." you patted her back and she released the hug then helped you stand up while the crowd watched you three with envious looks, whispering various things amongst themselves. You noticed Cabernet's dress was slightly soaked and with how you were lying on her lap, you concluded she helped in saving you.
"Chameleon, what happened earlier?" you communicated with Chameleon through your shackles by invoking her power while maintaing a relaxed look on your face.
"She helped drag you out of the pool and laid you on her lap. How lucky you are, Chief~"
"Don't joke, Chameleon. You know there's something in the pool, right?"
"Mhm, and I also have a lead on what might happen here. But give me more time, I can get some information out of a few people here if you let me use my powers."
"Fine...but keep it down and only one at a time, and don't go too far from me."
"Hehe, as you wish, my Chief~"
You then turned your attention towards Cabernet who was silently gazing at you both the whole time, "Thank you for saving me, Ms Cabernet."
"You are welcome. The lady beside you also helped a lot, she was quite worried for her Chief. You two seem quite close as well~"
You froze for a moment but realized this wasn't so surprising; of course, if she could have the MBCC work for her then naturally she'd know who you are.
"R-Right....Then, Ms Cabernet, since you already know us then can we—"
Before you could finish, Cabernet pulled you to make you sit beside her, her breasts pressing against your forearm.
"Accompany me for the rest of the party. With you by my side, I can avoid unnecessary interactions and focus on enjoying the party~"
You swallow thickly then she opened the manual and pointed to the dinner banquet, you quickly realize what she means and nod at her and respond loudly in a manner similar to the other guests.
"Y-Yes! I'd be honored! You saved me, I'll stay by your side for sure!"
"Hehe, good girl~" Cabernet chuckled softly then lowered her head and moved closed enough for you to smell the faint fragrance of tropical fruit on her body, "Happy working with you, MBCC Chief and her Sinner~"
You almost blush feeling her so close to you but your thoughts were interrupted, "Enjoying yourself there, Chief?~"
It was Chameleon speaking in your head. You turned to the side and noticed her sit beside you as well, your other arm getting buried between her breasts as she leaned close to you. You realized you were squeezed between two beautiful and reputed women from Eastside, one of whom was the star of this party. Naturally, you attracted quite a number of envious glares from the people around, causing everyone to scatter away and leave you in peace.
"Then, Ms Cabernet, can you tell us what exactly are these treasures you have lost?"
"Umm....food ingredients."
"Food ingredients? What kind of ingredients?"
"Mm...my ingredients may not be particularly noteworthy to other people. If I tell them, they might be surprised by my choise. But to me, they are treasures."
Cabernet looked down at the ground, seemingly a bit sad.
"You have no reason to feel that way, Ms Cabernet. You may feel the need to bury your true thoughts in your heart but there are people who understand you. A top gourmet can also enjoy so-called common food and regard it as a treasure. You are not wrong in thinking that way at all."
Chameleon spoke to her in a formal yet comfortable tone, her professionalism as a psychologist was evident as she understood Cabernet's emotional state too well.
"And if you feel pent-up stress about it then there are a number of ways to relieve it~" Chameleon gave a rather sly smile and you immediately understood her implications.
"A-Ahem, no need for that. We will support Ms Cabernet in using common ingredients but...your methods won't be necessary, Chameleon."
Chameleon smirked, "You break my heart, Chief. You know I just want to help~"
You laughed nervously making Cabernet let out a chuckle as well, "Thank you.... I must say, the MBCC is quite an interesting bunch~"
You became slightly tense at the situation, this client was strange and her intention to draw away attention using you wasn't working at all.
"The dinner banquet is the most important part of this party, there may be information about the treasures there. Before that, we should do our best to collect as much information as possible."
You instructed to both of them when suddenly a man appeared behind Chameleon, "If it isn't Ms Chameleon! I haven't seen you in so long!"
Chameleon recognized the voice immediately and stood up to turn to greet the man with a gentle smile and exchange pleasantries.
"He's an old patient, I remember he's in the food and beverage industry. I can indulge him for a while and get a few things out." you heard Chameleon speak in your head and agreed.
"Be careful, call me immediately if something happens. He looks a bit....wild."
"Hehe~ Never thought I'd have someone worry for me.... But don't worry, my Chief, I can protect myself~"
Chameleon winked at you as you watched her walk away then sighed and turned to the front again and were surprised seeing Cabernet so close to you, looking at you with curiosity.
"M-Ms Cabernet? Is something the matter?"
"Mm, I was just wondering if there's some special connection between you two. You seem to understand each other without speaking a single word."
"Oh! Haha, something like that, I suppose?" you nervously scratch your temple and avert your gaze from her.
"My, how interesting. You just made this party a whole lot fun for me~"
You smiled at her but couldn't stop thinking about Chameleon, worrying how she was doing.
"Aww, Chief~ You are missing me already? Would you like to have a peek at this side?~" as if on cue, Chameleon spoke in your mind again and you could hear faint whimpers of a man soon after.
"C-Chameleon! Don't do that—!"
"Relax, Chief~ I'm not hurting him; rather, he's feeling quite ecstatic currently and is letting me in on all his thoughts. I'll be back soon~"
You sighed to yourself when suddenly Cabernet closed up on you as if checking you closely, "Are you sure you are alright? Is the heat unbearable?"
Her fruity scent filled your senses and your eyes were drawn to her dark crimson lips, "No, I'm fine, thank you. Sorry for making you worry."
Cabernet smiled then suddenly a muscular man walked up to you and handed 2 cups of ice cream, stating how delicious and refreshing it was. You were going to ask him to give you another cup for Chameleon but he dashed off into the crowd in an instant, winking at you before going. You were suspicious and had a hard time taking a bite and eventually decided to save it for Chameleon then noticed Cabernet wasn't eating either.
"Do you not want to eat it, Ms Cabernet?"
"Hm? Well....how is the taste, Chief?"
"A-Ah! I was thinking of saving this for Chameleon...."
"Save what for me now, Chief?~" Chameleon sneaked up behind you and spoke before eyeing the ice cream in your hand and giving a small smile.
"Chameleon, are you okay? Was everything fine?" you asked out of genuine concern which made Chameleon slightly surprised then she chuckled and suddenly straddled your lap sideways, making you blush profusely and surprising Cabernet as well.
"Would you like to know what I did, Chief?~" she brushed her finger across your lip before picking up a spoonful of the ice cream and bringing it to your mouth.
"C-Chameleon, not in front of her...." you said out of embarrassment and glanced at Cabernet who was looking at you both with an amused look.
"Aww, becoming shy in public now, Chief? You weren't like this whenever I did it in your office~" Oh, she was enjoying this so much. Cabernet's eyes perked up at her statement before smirking and shifting closer to you.
"Hm? You seem to have an interesting relationship with your Sinners, Chief of MBCC~"
"N-No! I'm sorry! This is just—!" you couldn't explain yourself in any way, and the 2 women soon broke out in laughter together. You were being toyed by both of them, and they were enjoying every minute of it.
"I have some information, Chief. But how about you eat this first, unless you want me to feed it to you differently?~" Chameleon's voice spoke in your head in the midst of the laughter and you nodded then took a bite from the ice cream in her hand.
"Not bad....it almost tastes like the sea with traces of lemon and sea salt."
"Not a bad description, Chief. Seems that even the ice cream here is made from exquisite ingredients." Cabernet said.
Just then, the jingling of bells was heard and everyone turned to see where it came from. A maid came out and informed the soup was ready and everyone came out of the pool to rush towards the restaurant, making quite a commotion around you.
"What did you find out, Chameleon?" you talked to Chameleon in her head.
"There is some kind of legendary mermaid meat being kept here, planned to be served as the main course to the princess beside you."
"Do you think that's the treasure she's looking for?"
"It's hard to say, I couldn't find out what kind of meat it really is. But I reckon I can if I get in touch with the head chef here."
"Okay then, let's head in with Cabernet."
"Shall we go? It's disrespectful to the chef to be late for the meal." Cabernet spoke almost immediately and held onto your arm, giving a sly glance to Chameleon who understood her intention too well and didn't hold back from holding your other arm now. You were practically dragged by the 2 women inside and soon sat on the table with Cabernet having the centremost seat.
Everyone began drinking the soup and waited for Cabernet's judgement, she took a whiff followed by a small sip and let out a gentle smile followed by a simple compliment that earned cheers and praises. You took a sip yourself when suddenly heard a familiar voice behind you, it was the head chef of this banquet. You glanced at Chameleon and she understood you, having the same thoughts as you.
"I know, you heard her voice in the pool earlier."
"What should we do? It's a bad idea to hypnotize her here. We should wait."
"I thank everyone for their kind words but it seems this guest isn't liking the soup? May I know your suggestions if you feel it isn't up to the mark?" the head chef who introduced her as McGrath spoke to you, making you nervous and you haphazardly proceeded to drink the soup but Cabernet stopped you.
"She had a bit too many grapes earlier, I told her she'll ruin her appetite for dinner. She's not trying to avoid it on purpose."
"Sorry..."
"No matter. Save more appetite when the main course is served, I hope you can give me an answer then. You too, Ms Cabernet." McGrath said.
"Mm, I'm sure you'll surprise me."
"Of course, Ms Cabernet! I worked so hard precisely for this moment. All I desire is your precious and invaluable approval! That's why the most exciting part of this party will be the dinner banquet. I prepared it specially for Ms Cabernet!" McGrath announced in an active and hyped tone to everyone, earning a buzz of excitement.
McGrath then went to announce about the ingredients used for this dinner and as Chameleon had found out, she indeed acquired some kind of legendary ingredients which caused Cabernet's smile to fade away. You stringed together her words and the happenings around you and things started making sense. But you couldn't act in any manner as her next announcement caused everyone to rush about the restaurant in a flurry.
"Limited seats on a first come first served basis? This is crazy....why invite so many people and disrespect them this way?"
"It's how the world of the rich operates, Chief." Chameleon said from beside you and Cabernet hummed in agreement, making you sigh. You waited for the commotion to calm down a bit and make space for you three, you were in no hurry as Cabernet would guarantee you seats. You eventually came up to the elevator after some time and the doors opened again, causing the remaining guests to barge in leaving space just enough for you three.
Well, they definitely considered it a reward to be able to share an elevator with Cabernet. You and Chameleon followed her closely behind then were practically torn away from her by the other guests in the cramped space. Chameleon was pressed up against the wall in one corner and you couldn't help but be squeezed in front of her, your face lying near her neck and you held onto her waist for support.
"S-Sorry, Chameleon. I'll try to move away a little." you spoke to her in your mind and attempted to move about but there was no space to even turn. Chameleon instead held your head and pulled you closer making your face lie on her soft breasts while her hands gently patted your head.
"Just relax, Chief. I'm here to assist you, after all~"
You blushed and eased into her a little, feeling hypnotised by her sweet scent and angelic voice. Cabernet looked at you from the corner of her eye and wished she was standing closer but the elevator soon reached its destination and the door was opened, finally giving you space to breathe. You come out together with Cabernet and look around the floor, finding it rather eery and uncomfortable.
The announcement system came on again and McGrath announced that one must meet certain standards to be eligible for which everyone has to pass different challenges. You should be honorable enough to be worthy of dining with Cabernet, but how do you define honorable? You didn't have a good feeling about this, nor did the crowd as an uproar was erupted and some started shouting angrily.
"Ms Cabernet, this is turning dangerous. If this risks my Sinner's safety then I'm afraid I'll have to abort the mission."
Chameleon almost became wide-eyed at your declaration before smiling and gently holding your hand, "Chief, look at me."
You gritted your teeth and turned to face her then she softly cupped your face, "Nothing will happen to me. I trust you with my life and you should trust me with completing this mission together."
You didn't know when Chameleon became this way, was it your late-night chats with her or sharing similar hobbies that slowly made her so trusting of you. This self-proclaimed psychopath was hard to change, even impossible, but here she was trusting you and wanting you to trust her. You brought her to this mission not only because she could be useful, but also because you wanted to take her to a fun filled gathering and spend some time outside the prison.
"....Fine, then stay close to me. Don't do anything without my permission."
"Hehe~ As you say, Chief~"
You sighed then turned to Cabernet to get some information about McGrath and her nature. Cabernet recalled that she had failed to get her approval some time ago then suddenly invited her to this banquet a month ago, the timing matched with her losing her ingredients.
"So, you suspect the ingredients to be with her?"
"Yes, I pretty much guessed she had my treasures. I was worried that something might happen to them so I pulled some strings to get a seasoned professional to help me....which is you, dear Chief. But I didn't expect things to come to this, she has become crazy and even harming innocent people. I know I have caused you trouble...."
You gazed into her eyes deeply and sensed she wasn't being fully honest, but you had other more concerning matters to take care of hence listened to her for now.
"No point in pondering over it, we did accept the mission so we'll see it till the end."
See it till the end as you said....you didn't expect the sacrifices you'd have to make along the way in this hellish game where people were eaten alive by some monster. You had reached the end where only you and Cabernet remained, yes only you two. The scene in front of you was horrifying, the chef was crazy and doing everything to please Cabernet solely.
"This is my surprise gift to you, Ms Cabernet! To give you the best dining experience, I will ensure that you are neither lonely nor pestered! You will approve of me, right?!" McGrath announced.
You clenched your fists in anger, remembering what happened to Chameleon before you reached this point.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~
"What should we do...We are trapped. One of us will have to!" your heart was racing in your chest, many of the guests had turned into corruptors as they failed the test and were consumed by Mania. You were trapped in a room with monsters outside, to pass you had to defeat them and protect Cabernet and Chameleon along the way.
"Chameleon! Can you try and control the monster? It is still alive!" you shouted and Chameleon nodded before attempting to focus her powers strongly on the Corruptor in front, holding it back for some time. You looked around the room and found a kitchen knife in a drawer then stabbed the confused monster in the chest, the blade clanks against a silver key that drops out and Chameleon releases the control on the monster who lunges at you.
You try to dodge but are too close to it when suddenly you feel a rush of power in your limbs and are forcefully pulled back like a puppet, thumping against the wall in pain. You groan and open your eyes to see Chameleon in front of you, smiling at you in relief while the monster lunged at her. You gasp and try to get up but cannot feel your limbs at all, as if someone took away your control on your body. It was Chameleon, she was doing this intentionally.
"No! Chameleon!"
Suddenly, Cabernet picked up her cane and swung at the monster's legs causing it to falter for a brief moment giving Chameleon enough time to pick up the knife and stab it into the monster again, finally killing it with the guest still alive.
"It's okay, Chief....I didn't tell you this before but I figured out everything a while ago. I peered into McGrath and Cabernet's minds....you can do this, I know. I know you will come back for me, until then..." Chameleon's voice echoed in your head while you watched her fall to the ground while gazing at you with a smile.
"Why didn't you tell me if you knew?!"
"Because....have you forgotten who I am? A psychopath that thrives on schadenfreude; of course, I wanted to see you suffer. How fun it was, watching you rack your brain and give your all for this hellish game, hehe~"
It had to be a lie; you couldn't believe her. Her actions contradicted her words as you watched her fall powerless, you finally gained strength in your limbs again and ran up to her to hold her in your arms. She smiled and caressed your face then you felt her placing something in your hand, they key to unlock the door.
"Go, my Chief. The last clue I can give you is.... our client is a Sinner."
~-~-~-~-~-~-~
"Sinner.... the princess of the Franc Family is a Sinner, and this whole banquet was for her. But she wasn't the one who made this game, but she was clearly taking advantage of it." you thought when McGrath suddenly revealed herself in the empty room. She was annoyed that you made it this far with Cabernet, she has been wanting to eliminate you all this time because you don't deserve to be beside Cabernet.
"You stand in a place of arrogance and use my name to evaluate others....Hmph, who gave you that right?" Cabernet spoke as she elegantly walked up to McGrath. "Who are you to judge anyone else?"
"But... I did this for you... to give you the purest, kindest and noblest souls in the world worthy of your taste!" McGrath retorted.
"For me? Haha...." Cabernet laughed softly then motioned you to come next to her. "The honorable souls you seek are not something judged by your superficial and self-righteous criteria."
And in a moment of impatience, McGrath eliminated Cabernet on her own making you the final winner. But what awaited you as the victor was not what you were promised yet it wasn't surprising either, thanks to Chameleon's hint earlier. Cabernet was indeed a Sinner, and while she didn't plan any of this, she truly enjoyed and feasted upon the souls she found appetizing. Among them, your soul was the one she wanted the most and waited for it all this time.
"My ingredients are back...and my feast is ready~" Cabernet mused in ecstasy, running her fingers through your hair in languish movements. You were lying on the dinner table in front of her, all served up for her.
"Cabernet! What....what are you doing?!"
Cabernet smirked and leaned down near your head, taking a whiff of your scent and sighing in pleasure. "I like you so much....so much so that I want to gobble you down in one bit....I held back so much until now...."
She leaned over and kissed your head, "Ahh... how delicious you are!"
She lifted your head, letting you see the rows of transparent boxes under the light. "Chameleon?! Why is she here?!"
"An interesting companion you brought along.... Claims to enjoy toying with others, especially you, but didn't hold back in sacrificing herself for you when it was time.... Just like her name, she changes her colors to blend according to the situation and hide her true self, the self that secretly cares for you beyond what she knows herself.... A unique flavor, something worth savoring~"
"....I'm the one you want most, right? Then let her go and have me!" you said desperately and Cabernet stares at you in surprise before turning gleeful and lunging at you feverishly, pinning you on the table.
"Yes! Yes! Exactly! This is what I want! You are the most delicious! After overcoming all hardships of the game, your soul is brighter, tastier and more attractive than ever! Aaah! Seeing you with her made me so eager to touch you and taste you!~"
She held you by your wrists and you could feel her soft skin and warm touch, you tried to snatch your hand away but she only pressed on tighter.
"Don't be afraid... I'll enjoy you slowly and take care of you. I'm just going to take one bite, think of it as a kiss. Just a kiss...."
Cabernet leaned down and lightly touched her lips on your cheek, it was a feather like touch that you barely felt yet your body was drained, like your soul was being sucked out. The next second, a crystal-clear grape was in Cabernet's mouth and she bit it gently, the rich juice flowed down the corner of her mouth....
"I...I need to restrain and detain you...."
Cabernet smirked, "Go ahead, Chief. Let's see if the growth of your power can catch up with the expansion of my desires. When that time comes, I'll willingly be at your mercy and follow you to the ends of the Earth~"
~-~-~-~-~-~-~
It had been 2 weeks since Cabernet's arrest and interrogation, you discovered all her secrets and the treasures she was talking about. Coincidentally, she reminded you of Chameleon slightly when you had met her as well. The two of them had uncanny similarities but significant differences.
"Chief, Sinner Chameleon wants to meet you after work." Nightingale informed you in your office and you told her to accept Chameleon's call. It was already 6 pm and you were approaching your limit for the day hence packed up your things and went to Chameleon's cell at around 6:30 pm.
"Good work to you, Chief~" Chameleon mused as she allowed you inside her cell which was unusually darkened.
"What is it? I think it's rather early for our chat..."
"Hehe~ Well, I wanted to have a longer chat today hence called you earlier. I hope you don't mind?~"
"Not really.... Hah~ I'm actually glad you called me because I was getting tired from all the paperwork." you sighed and sat on the edge of her bed. "Why don't you switch on the other lights? Are they not working? I'll have them repaired by tomorrow if that's the case."
Chameleon simply grinned and didn't reply, you stared at her in confusion when you suddenly heard clinking of heels from the other corner of the cell along with the tapping of a cane.
"My~ Do you prefer to keep the lights on under the sheets?~" it was Cabernet.
"Cabernet? What are you doing here....?" you cautiously said and stood up, realizing you didn't detect her through your shackles, it was Chameleon's doing. You didn't expect to see the two of them together after the incident at the banquet, you thought Chameleon would hold a grudge against her for turning her into food but it seemed they both had become friends instead.
"I'm here to have my meal, of course~" Cabernet replied in a joyful tone, making you confused then look at Chameleon who walked to your side and put her arms around your neck.
"I thought we could have additional company for our chat tonight~" Chameleon said while gazing into your eyes and Cabernet walked up to your other side now.
"What? When did the two of you decide this?"
"Hmm? Well, we have been in touch with each other since the banquet. I have been helping her deal with her urges using my hypnotherapy, and we eventually opened up to each other about some personal matters....like my relationship with you." Chameleon said while twirling your hair in her fingers.
Your eyes widened and you slowly pieced together the situation then Cabernet spoke, "You know how much I want your soul, Chief. But I also want you in another way.... and Ms Chameleon here told me she can give me what she wants~"
Ah, this was really happening, wasn't it? You had no way out. They both had improved and held themselves back since their respective arrests but naturally, their desires still remained.
"You'll satisfy us, won't you, our good-hearted Chief?~" they spoke in unison and you accepted the outcome with a nod of your head. Well, you still had to compensate Chameleon for her help in the mission and Cabernet had to be rewarded for keeping her appetite in check. Yes, that's what you were going to do.
Cabernet was the first to act as she leaned in and licked your right ear, sending a chill down your spine.
"Mm~ Just to prepare myself, hehe~"
"A-Are we going to do it here....?"
"Oh, do you have a better suggestion, Chief?" Cabernet asked, still continuing to lick your ear lobe. You glanced at Chameleon and she already understood your intention with a smirk.
"....My room has a bigger bed than the cells, still not as big but it should be sufficient."
Cabernet also smirked now and gently bit your ear lobe, "An excellent suggestion, Chief. Lead the way. Oh, and would it be alright to order a few delicacies? You know I have been having some cravings recently~"
"....Alright, what do you want?"
Cabernet had a list prepared of what she wanted but refused to tell you as it was to be a surprise so you let her hand it over to one of the guards while you took both of them to your room. You expected them to be all over you as soon as you'd enter but they were surprisingly patient, casually sitting on the bed and chatting a bit while you took a quick shower and changed into comfortable clothes.
"Am I really going to do this? With both of them at the same time? This is going to be a bad idea, isn't it? But they are quite...." you pondered under the shower then felt your face heat up imagining their beautiful bodies in front of you, "Stop! This isn't right! I need to be cautious with them, they both aren't just ordinary people....!"
You took a few deep breaths then finally came out of the shower dressed in a loose nightwear but were taken by surprise as you stepped outside the bathroom. The room was dimly lit with some candles and the 2 women were seated on your bed still fully dressed up in their usual attire. You had no idea how they had the time to prepare all this while you were in the shower, but it made you more nervous now seeing all the elaborate setup they were going for.
"Have a seat, Chief~" Cabernet said and patted the space between her and Chameleon. You walked up to the bed and sat between them as instructed then Chameleon moved behind you and asked you to climb up more. You did as told and were fully seated on the bed now with Chameleon behind you, holding you in her arms and Cabernet in front straddling your lap.
"Are you nervous, Chief? You are experienced in this so there's no need to feel that way~" Chameleon whispered in your ear from behind, her soft voice flowing in your ear almost making you entranced.
"I...I have never done it with two people at once." you confessed out of embarrassment, making them even more eager to do this. Cabernet slid her hands from your chest down to your belly before leaning near your neck and breathing in deeply.
"You are so delectable, Chief.... Aahh~ The urge to gobble you in one bite or the one to eat you bit by bit....which one should I give in to?~"
"Now now~ Let's take it slow and watch her break in our arms, I'm sure you'd prefer that a lot more~" Chameleon said while placing gentle kisses on your neck.
"Hey! There won't be any eating or soul sucking! Don't force me to use the shackles on you both!" you shouted in a pathetically desperate way, making them chuckle together.
"Don't worry, Chief, we'll keep our promise. Tonight is to satisfy our lusts together; my appetite will be satiated plenty by this until you offer your soul to me~" Cabernet said and kissed the other side of your neck now.
Their movements synced yet evoked different feelings in you; Cabernet was more into licking your skin and taking in your scent while Chameleon wanted to mark you with her bites and lipstick.
"Your neck is so delectable....I can hardly hold back from taking a bite~" Cabernet moaned and continued to lick.
Chameleon then tilted your head back and kissed your lips deeply, your tongue intertwining with hers as you moaned into each other. Cabernet took this opportunity to make a long lick from your nape to your jaw then sucking on your throat, a muffled moan leaving your mouth as you kissed Chameleon.
"Mm~ Delicious....but let's add in some flavor~" said Cabernet and reached out to the side table to grab a bottle of honey. Chameleon finally released the long and chaste kiss; you breathed quickly in her embrace then Cabernet was already back and poured a drizzle of honey on your neck while licking her lips, gazing at how it trickled down your skin.
"Thank you for the meal~" Cabernet said before diving in your neck and licking up the honey like a starved kitten, your body trembled at her ministrations feeling her warm tongue move up and down your neck while still being aware of Chameleon behind you who was unusually silent the whole time but in reality, she was quite enjoying watching you this way.
Cabernet suddenly bit hard at your neck making you arch up and clench the bedsheet with a stifled moan. She then looked at Chameleon and indicated something to her which was followed by Chameleon putting a blindfold over your eyes, stripping you off your vision.
"Let's play a little game, Chief~" Chameleon whispered and you could only nod and follow along. She then crawled in front of you as well making you lean on the headboard and they straddled each of your legs, smirking to themselves watching your messy state. Cabernet suddenly held your wrists and raised your arms and you soon felt something vine-like slither around your wrists and bind them together. You were confused now, what were they planning?
"You must be hungry after working so much. How about this- we will feed you some things one by one and you have to guess who fed you. If you get all of them right then you win otherwise....hehe~" Chameleon said.
You bit your lower lip and agreed to the tempting game. You understood how they were going to feed you and you were confident you'd win. Soon enough, you felt your chin being held and parted your lips for the incoming feast. A soft and familiar sensation was placed on your lips followed by a sweet taste and texture filling your tongue, a half strawberry was placed in your mouth.
"....Chameleon." you replied and they both smiled and congratulated you. This was easy, you had kissed Chameleon many times that you lost count, the taste and feeling of her lips was engraved in your mind. The next sensation you felt was new to you, an intoxicating wine-like scent accompanied by a rich flavor. Yet the food placed in your mouth was again a half strawberry but you were sure it wasn't Chameleon this time.
"Cabernet."
"My~ Well done, Chief. Now you know how both of us taste, the next rounds should be more interesting~" Cabernet said with a chuckle.
You knew you wouldn't win if this carried for too long but you were too aroused to back away now. The next sensation wasn't a food but a drink rather, another sweet and wine-like flavor trickled down your tongue while one of them kissed you deeply.
"Cabernet again...."
"Hehe~ Correct!"
"What happens if I win?"
"Why of course, there's a reward~" Cabernet said.
"....And what if I lose?"
"A punishment, naturally~" Chameleon said.
Ah, your destiny was in your hands as always. The game continued and the next feeling wasn't something sweet but rather cool and refreshing with a hint of spice. This confused you as the shape of their lips wasn't significantly different but their kissing techniques were, yet this one wasn't so different than the one before but also didn't feel familiar. Your mind was jumbled now, the pressure of knowing there's a reward and punishment clouded your judgment but you decided to trust your instincts.
"Chameleon...."
"Ah, I didn't think you'd guess that~" Chameleon chuckled.
"Did you eat something else before feeding me?"
"Mhm, correct. As expected of my exceptional Chief~"
Cabernet chuckled with her and you guessed it was her turn next but were still cautious. The next feeling on your lips was a familiar texture, it was a grape. You bit onto it from your side causing you to brush against the feeder's lips but it was very light, you barely felt anything. You expected her to come in again as you ate the end in your mouth but none of them moved and patiently waited for you to answer.
"Wait, I have to guess just from that? How is this fair...."
"Oh, come on, Chief. We know you can~" Cabernet said.
You swallowed thickly and pondered for some time, extremely unsure of the answer.
"C-Cabernet....?" you said nervously and there was silence from them both but they grinned at each other before finally speaking.
"Correct answer, Chief~"
You almost breathed a sigh of relief then heard the ruffling of clothes and your ears heated up in anticipation. The blindfold was finally removed and the sight in front of you left you breathless. Both of them had discarded their clothes and now sat in their bra and panties in front of you. Your eyes trailed over their exquisite features as if they were a lavish feast served for you.
"Time for your reward, Chief~" Chameleon mused and they both crawled closer to you then the vines holding your wrists was removed and they held each of your hand and brought it towards their abdomen. You blushed profusely at their intention but both of them were completely sure of this.
"We have been waiting for so long, Chief~" Cabernet said in a lusty voice and slipped your hand past her underwear, your fingers touched her clit followed by her already soaked cunt. Chameleon wasn't much better either, she was already rearing for you to be inside her. They rested their heads on your shoulders and kissed both of your cheeks while grinding on your palms. You rubbed their clits with your thumbs first, earning low yet pleasant sighs from them near your ears.
"C-Chief~ Mhm...~" Cabernet moaned.
"G-Go in...aaah~" Chameleon sighed.
You wasted no more time and finally inserted one finger inside each of them, their backs arching together feeling your finger part their walls and prod deeply. Cabernet held onto you much tighter and impatiently kissed you while waving her hips back and forth, clearly needy for more. Chameleon was more composed but you knew it was a facade, you had to continue a bit more to see her true self. You felt their juices coat your fingers and soon inserted a second one, catching them off guard but they moaned in ecstasy nonetheless.
"Oh! This is....! Delightful! More! Give me more of this feeling, Chief!~" Cabernet was whimpering now, desperately rutting her hips on your fingers. It was a sight to behold, seeing the elegant and noble heiress of the Francs break apart this way and become so needy in your arms. You angled your fingers deeper in her and touched her sweet spot which made her moan loudly and fall on you, holding your shoulders for dear life.
"Mhm~ Chief! More....yes.... right there!~ Aaaaaahn!~" Cabernet was first to release, a raspy moan echoing in the room as she arched back then fell on your shoulder, breathing heavily from her orgasm. You then focused your attention on Chameleon who was desperately trying to hold back her voice, you knew she was like this but it still surprised you seeing her this way.
"Let go, Chameleon. I have got you." you spoke in a gentle tone and assured her, finally making her let down her walls and fall in your arms. You thrusted you fingers at her deep spot earning a surprised gasp from her but she was soon rutting herself on your palm to seek her release. She too leaned on your shoulder now and kissed you deeply as you fingered her before burying her face in your neck and cumming with a whimper.
The two women laid panting in your embrace, heavy breaths flowing past your nape and your fingers drenched in their slick. Then suddenly Cabernet unbuttoned your shirt in a hurry, as if some kind of desperate need possessed her.
"More! More! Give me more, Chief!~"
Chameleon also joined in and they practically tore away your shirt and threw it faraway before Cabernet lunged at you and pinned you down. Her lips made kisses all over your face while Chameleon was busy unbuckling your pants and underwear. Cabernet's hands roamed on your body languidly, as if noting every feature, as if checking the goods before she consumed them. You soon felt numerous bites and marks placed on your belly and thighs by the 2 women, practically marking you as their possession.
"I can't wait anymore, Chief. I need you~" Cabernet said feverishly and dived between your legs to eat you out, your head shot back in surprise feeling her tongue lap up your folds like a thirsty kitten.
"W-Wait! Not so fast— ngh!~" you whimpered and attempted to hold Cabernet's head to push her away but Chameleon stopped your hand and winked at you, "Let her have her meal, Chief. It's rude to interrupt when someone's eating~"
You clenched the bedsheets again when suddenly Chameleon crawled up to your face and turned around to face Cabernet before putting her legs on either side of your head and sitting down. Her wet core was placed on your lips and you quickly began licking up her folds followed by inserting your tongue inside. Chameleon moaned loudly now, discarding all that held her back earlier. Her hips grinded on your tongue feverishly, chasing her own release again.
Cabernet also fastened her movements now; her tongue reached deep inside you and prodded your sweet spot while she sucked out your juices. You could barely control yourself now, trying to focus on pleasuring Chameleon while also holding back from Cabernet's movements. Your mind was overwhelmed and fuzzy from pleasure.
"Mmm~ Cum for me, Chief~ Let me taste you, I have waited so long!~" Cabernet moaned as she replaced her tongue with her fingers and you truly couldn't hold back now.
Feeling your walls clench on her fingers, Cabernet attached her mouth to your core again and you finally released all over her. She drank up every last drop as if it was the last meal she'd ever have, which honestly might be case now. Nothing could satisfy her appetite now; she needed your body and soul for everything. On the other hand, Chameleon also came soon after as your moan vibrated inside her, her juices covering your face as she breathed out before finally sitting beside you.
"You know, Chief? Earlier, you guessed the last one wrong. It wasn't her who fed you the grape." Chameleon's voice flowed in your head, making you surprised.
"Then why did you...?"
"Hehe~ I just felt you deserve to be rewarded for all your hard work. I can punish you anytime I want, right?~"
"Aaah~ What an exquisite taste! This is all I want! Chief.... Chief.... Be mine and let me have you for every meal!~" Cabernet chanted in a crazed manner as she crawled up your body and kissed you deeply again.
"Oh, you are not going to have my toy so easily!~" Chameleon spoke and straddled you as well before pushing Cabernet away and kissing you roughly. They both fought for your taste and lips, kissing you one by one until either were satisfied but you were too overwhelmed now.
"Wait! Wait! Let me breathe!" you desperately shouted and your shackles activated subconsciously. A burning and piercing sensation ran through both of them and they gasped in pain before you finally sat up and hugged them tightly.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to! Does it hurt?! I'm so sorry both of you!" you trembled and desperately apologized to them for using the shackles unintentionally. Chameleon peered into your mind and knew you didn't mean it; you could still barely control them even now. She conveyed the same thought to Cabernet and they both smiled gently then embraced you back.
"We know, Chief. Don't worry about it." Chameleon said in a soft voice, trying to soothe you.
"Mhm, it wasn't that painful. Rather, it was quite pleasurable if I'm being honest~" Cabernet added.
"Oh, hehe~ You have no idea how these shackles can be used for pleasure when she does it intentionally~" Chameleon said, making Cabernet curious.
"Oh my~ Now that's interesting, we should try that someday, Chief~"
They both laughed lightly and you smiled to yourself. You didn't understand them well, but you did know they trusted you. Now you wanted to show them your affection. The night carried on, Chameleon brought out the strap-on in your cupboard for you to wear. Both of them were sprawled out on your bed with you on top of Cabernet, her milky legs hanging over your shoulders as you pounded into her with the strap. At the same time, your hand was buried deep in Chameleon's hole and ruthlessly thrusted in and out.
"Aah~ Y/n.... Y/n! Yes! Faster!~" Cabernet moaned, she had started using your name instead some time ago as you continued. Truthfully, you became more flustered whenever anyone spoke your name but hearing these 2 women say it was a completely different experience.
"Close~ Mhm! Y/n~" Chameleon gasped and thrusted your fingers deeply, finally making her cum. At the same time, you drilled into Cabernet faster and she released as well at the same time. Their moans synced like music to your ears, a bewitching sight to see them both fucked out under you this way. But you weren't done. The next moment, you flipped Chameleon on her stomach and she stood up on all fours automatically, as if knowing your thoughts well.
"Come in, Y/n. Be inside me!~"
A newfound enthusiasm surged through you and you hilted the strap deeply inside her, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as you started thrusting right away. You held onto her hips, fingers digging in her skin and squeezing the flesh. Her own hips were thrusting back into you now, a delicious rhythm forming of your thrusts. Soon after, Cabernet sat up and hugged you from the side before kissing you desperately.
"Focus on me, Y/n~" Chameleon's voice suddenly echoed in your head and you glanced at her to see her looking at you from the corner of her eye, you could swear she was smirking. Cabernet released the kiss and you finally fastened your thrusts, pounding into Chameleon's sopping and needy cunt. It was almost animalistic, the bed creaking from your movements. You buried into her deeply when she finally came, squirting her juices on the sheets. You pulled out of her and laid back to rest but saw Cabernet straddling your lap now and pushing the cock inside herself.
"We aren't done yet, Chief~" Cabernet mused while grinding on the strap.
"That's right~" Chameleon also said and crawled to your side.
You were sure you'd end up continuing until morning this way, both of them had impeccable stamina and desire, and they were expecting you to keep up. You'll satisfy them, right?~

Tumblr media
The early morning sun filtered in through the large open window of Rafayel's bedroom, casting its warming glow across the expanse of his bed, causing your skin to tingle under the pleasant heat. Groaning softly as your eyes fluttered open, you stretch your arms before reaching out to the side, hands subconsciously searching for Rafayel, longing to curl into his chest and fall back asleep. But your hands are met with empty sheets, the spot beside you where Rafayel sleeps is cold, clearly he's been up for a while now. Rubbing the sleep from your eyes you push yourself up to sit on the edge of the bed, bare feet meeting the fluffy carpet below.
"Well well, look who's finally decided to wake up~" the familiar teasing tone brings a fond smile to your face, turning to find Rafayel lounging in a chair by the open window. A gentle breeze ruffles his soft, dusky hair, his handsome features illuminated by the sunlight, pale skin glowing under its rays. He truly is a sight to behold, alluring appearance rivaling even the most magnificent masterpiece.
Rafayel tilts his head, playful smirk tugging at his lips "you seem a little distracted, miss bodyguard, don't tell me that my boundless good-looks have rendered you speechless?~" his usual teasing has you turning your head away, attempting to hide the heat rising to your cheeks, a pout forming on your lips at being caught staring. You can hear his chuckle followed by the shuffling of fabric as Rafayel rises from his seat, feet padding softly against the floor as he makes his way over to you. You feel his eyes on you as long, slender fingers play with a loose strand of your hair. "Don't be shy, I like it when you look at me. In fact~" his fingers gently trail along your jaw, tilting your chin upwards until your forced to meet his gaze, bluish-pink eyes holding a tenderness despite his teasing tone. "I want to be the only one you look at, now and forever"
Your eyes widen, blush deepening at the possible meaning behind his words, a nervous laugh bubbles from your lips "if I didn't know any better, I'd think that sounded like a proposal"
"And what if it was? Would you accept it?" His voice had lost its playful tone, replaced by a sudden vulnerability that was reflected in his eyes, making your breath hitch at the unusual seriousness in his face. The air is still around you, thrums with anticipation much like the quickened beating of your heart. Your eyes flicker over Rafayel's face, searching his expression for any indicators that this is just more of his usual teasing, that any minute now he's going to burst out laughing at the dumbfounded look on your face. But the earnest look in his eyes, so honest and hopeful and equally afraid, tells you that he means it. Your hand moves to rest over his palm that is cradling the side of your face, head leaning into his touch, a shaky exhale leaving you before your lips curve into a soft smile.
"Rafayel, nothing would make me happier than spending forever by your side" your voice is quiet, barely above a whisper, but it's overflowing with the depth of the love you feel for the man in front of you. You watch as Rafayel processes your answer, chest falling with the release of the breath he'd been holding in anticipation, gorgeous eyes lighting up as an equally gorgeous smile spreads across his face. You only got a second to admire it though as Rafayel tackled you in a hug, the both of you falling backwards onto the bed, giggling and sharing sweet, soft kisses. When you had both finally calmed down, you simply lay there, wrapped in eachothers embrace, your fingers tracing along the soft skin of Rafayel's exposed chest as his gentle stroked through your hair. Basking in the gentle glow of sunlight and the warmth of your love, Rafayel laid his forehead against yours, his eyes locking onto your own, and within them you saw a tidal wave of emotions. A tsunami of love, adoration and joy that threatened to drown out the rest of the world until all you could focus on was the man in front of you. The man you loved with all your heart.
"Don't forget your promise, miss bodyguard, you're mine now, forever. And my heart-" Rafayel gently hold your palm to his chest, letting you feel the strong, steady rhythm of his heartbeat. "My heart will forever be yours."
