How to get matts out

I normally post animal stuff and shitposts but today I have a helpful lil tutorial for anyone with longer hair. My hair is fine, dense, long and wavy which is essentially perfect tangle conditions. It’s so dense a normal brush doesn’t brush all of it so the underside is hard to brush. If I don’t brush for one day when I wake up the next morning I’ll have some small matts. 5 days where I’m busy or have low mental health and it gets very bad. There’s no shame about not brushing your hair for a bit especially if you’re struggling. Tips to prevent and reduce matts: ~ Cut your hair shorter if possible, even a few inches can help ~ Get more frequent trims, split ends make tangles worse getting more frequent but smaller amounts taken off can help if your finances allow ~ Try to brush at least a little each day if you can To get a small, medium or large but not huge matt out all you need is a big wide toothed comb and a good hairbrush. I use the beluga brush but if you cant afford it wet brushes are a good option. If you have a shower it can be very helpful but its optional especially for smaller matts. Take your brush and separate out any hair that’s not in the matt(s). Take 2 minutes and brush the matt out as much as you can and pull any hair you got out and put it to the side. Now you’re ready to start with the comb. There’s 2 motions you’ll need to do with the comb. For the first hold the comb vertically, only use the top 1-2 prongs. Insert it just a tiny bit above the bottom of the matt. Pull down with the comb. It may hurt a little, if it wont go down with a fair bit but not a crazy amount of force take it out, insert it down a little bit, to the side or don't go as deep. For the second hold the comb horizontally. Brush right under the matt where the tangles will build down, once they’re mostly out you can try going right above the bottom of the matt. If it doesnt comb out you’ll switch to the other. Rinse and repeat going back and forth between both types. Periodically use your brush to brush out the now tangled but not matted hair under the matt. As for the shower, it can help it hurt less and go a bit easier so if you have access I’d recommend.

I have very fine, straight hair and it takes nothing at all for it to get tangled. My mom used to say I would wake up with a “rat’s nest”. Gross, mom! Then again, when my long-haired kid has knotty hair, I tell her she looks like a swamp witch or a Japanese horror monster. I don’t think she appreciates that any more.

It's actually because Eddie keeps forgetting he's wearing his dumbass chunky rings and they once got so tangled in Steve's hair that Eddie had had to slip his fingers out of them before he could actually work them free, and now Eddie isn't allowed to touch Steve's head unless he takes the rings off first

I'd imagine they'd be still too weak/young to fly let alone shapeshift so they're housebound, zhongli and you have to take turns watching them and going out to do stuff. Also since they're dragons/reptiles they wouldn't need milk?? rather probably just smol pieces of meat or like soft food aaaaaaaaaaaa too cute imagine feeding them with a spoon carefully.

Until they start teething that it, then they become lil menaces, biting everything on sight including each other when play fighting and/or their father (lmao) Zhongli would make small crystals they can bite into instead of destroying everything 💕
