Chapter 2: Summer preparations.

T/N: (1) Japanese schools typically start summer break much later than Western schools, so that's why they had an entire semester's worth of exams before summer break and why they haven't gone home yet

“Wait, …….hm……?”

Facing his luggage, which is unusually disheveled for him, Hirano groaned.

Even as he turns the bag he’d started packing in preparation for going home inside and out, he can’t find what he’s looking for.

“Not here either, huh…”

He has not a clue where they might be, and he tilts his head at the unexpected turn of events. He’d of course checked the floor, as well as in the bed, the hallway, and even the dining hall.

He always takes them out before he goes to sleep, so there can’t possibly be that many places he could’ve left them. But unfortunately, once something becomes a habit, you stop thinking about it while you do it.

It’s probably not that he put them in a different place from normal after taking them out, but there might have been something out of the ordinary.. In fact, last night Hanzawa had suddenly come over.

Although he’d come inside after hurriedly knocking on the door, he didn’t seem to have anything in particular to do, and had been acting strangely. He had looked uncomfortable too, but—had Hirano taken them out by that point?

He can’t remember clearly.

As he recalls, Kagiura came to this space and was loafing around, saying how nice the freshly washed sheets felt. Thanks to him, they’d gotten all wrinkled, so Hirano had scolded him and made him set them straight.

Because Kagiura hadn’t put the sheets back on before bathing unlike Hirano, the mattress pad was uncovered. Hirano had made him put them on immediately afterward, saying “even so, that doesn’t mean you go invite yourself into someone else’s bed”.

Even if he tries thinking back, he can’t remember the gist of his own movements.

Both the left one and the right one are gone, so the probability that they fell out is low. The backings weren’t loose, so it’s also unlikely they got caught on something. And yet he can’t find them anywhere, a situation that has him scratching his head in frustration.

“What’s wrong? Hirano-san.”

At the sound of the voice that rang out from beside him as he spaced out, Hirano noticed his roommate for the first time since he’d returned.

“Oh, welcome home. It’s not a big deal, but I can’t find my earrings. I thought they fell somewhere around here, though.”

When he added as an afterthought that he doesn’t take them off outside, so they must be in the dorm, Kagiura crouched down to the floor.

“I’ll help you look for them.”

“Thanks, but it’s fine. I’ll find them on my own. Keep an eye out just so you don’t step on them though, okay?”

“Got it. But it’ll be a problem if you don’t find them, right?”

“Yeah, but it’s not like the piercings will close up if I don’t wear them for a day or two. That aside, Kagi-kun, I thought you said you’d be doing free practice today once you got back from dropping off your school bag. You promised your friends you’d be there, didn’t you?”

Under the blazing sun with summer vacation just around the corner, Kagiura apparently still goes on runs despite club activities having ended. He’d exclaimed as much when they’d run into each other at lunchtime. 

He was probably venting the stress from the final exams. For Kagiura, unskilled at studying, he’d probably been quite run down by his poor showing on the midterms.

With the support of Hirano, for whom taking care of his kouhai was no struggle, he’d been able to get through them safely, but they were scores that he, even as a sports recommendation student, couldn’t brush off, so he had, as he put it, “studied as a hard as a student preparing for entrance exams”.

Club is on break today because the advisor, current captain, and incoming captain were at a meeting at another school. It is an act of mercy given the temperature, but for Kagiura, who’d just managed to get through exams, it is not fortuitous timing.

“Ah! …..I’m heading out.”

His head snaps up, suddenly fidgety as he remembers.

He’s energetic in spite of the heat.

As he wakes up every day with him and comes to understand his daily routines, Hirano has nothing but admiration for the overwhelming differences in their physical activity.

“See you later.”

At the sight of Kagiura rushing out the door, Hirano’s face suddenly falls.

Ever since he came here, the moment he leaves, the room feels unpleasantly silent. 

No other pair in any of the other dorm rooms is a match for his relationship with his roommate, who has completely opened up to him—a fact of which Hirano is proud. He feels it all the more strongly for having been in the kouhai position himself a year ago.

There is just one more week until summer break.

It got a little too quiet.

Hirano’s family home, which houses their family of three, is seldom lively, as his father is quite reticent. 

They all get along, and from his point of view as the child, they’re a happy family, but it’s a little lonely for someone who has gotten used to living in a group with age-mates.

“I didn’t think anything of it last year, though…”

Mumbling his grievances, he stands and stretches his aching back.

In his line of sight is the terry cloth blanket rolled up on his kouhai’s bed, in disarray as if to illustrate his trouble with getting up in the morning.

On the off chance that his earrings ended up here, Hirano cautiously searches the sheets before fixing them back in place, but unfortunately they are nowhere to be found. His ears were pierced with titanium earrings, the downside of which is that they’re not particularly shiny, so they’re difficult to find in situations like this.

Reluctantly, Hirano re-packs his bag and gets started on his homework. He’s preparing for the summer term prep school course. Besides that, there’s also countless practice exams.

There is not much leisure time in the summer breaks of high school second years.

It’s not like he’s spending the entire time applying for intensive courses, and he has more time to hang out and go places compared to usual, but the passage of time is most definitely changing from last year.

As long as Kagiura can graduate, he’ll probably also get into college with a sports recommendation.

His gaze going soft at the pointless supposition, Hirano begins solving the problem set.

As if he has entered an empty space cut off from the world, the cries of the cicadas outside become distant. The blood is rushing in his fingertips, and the point where they touch the shaft of his mechanical pencil feels prickly.

Preparations for the cultural festival will begin tomorrow.

In the short time before summer break, each class will work out their plan and divide up the tasks amongst themselves.

It takes a fair bit of time to determine the details of the project. If their plan does not pass through the two-step audition process of an initial document screening and a secondary interview, they will not be able to proceed with it.

That said, events must be limited in the amount of space and materials they are allotted in order to have a high application-to-acceptance ratio. In effect, one could say the classes are like food truck vendors competing with one another for curb space.

For that reason, during this period, when they take charge of the cultural festival planning committee, there are times when they’re so swamped with work that they complain that even studying for exams is easier.

The judging panel consists of representatives from each class’s planning committee, the student council, and a faculty member in charge of the event. The festival judging, which is hard on both those doing the judging and those being judged, will start this week.

Hirano’s class, 2nd year class E, has already started narrowing down their plan, and are contriving to get it past the judging as quickly as possible.

Their plan is to make a haunted house spanning two classrooms and the hallway beside them. 

They will remove the door and insert a passageway, using a bigger space than one would typically imagine for a culture festival program and making it difficult to tell how often the lurking ‘ghost’ will appear. The person playing the ghost will work the distance between the entrance and exit, in order to decrease the risk that someone will find out where they’ll be ahead of time and lose interest.

Under the circumstances of blocking the corridor, it will be a one-way street, so implementation of their plan is limited to the vicinity of the staircase, and they must carefully consider emergency exit routes.

The amount of time it takes to prepare the classrooms is enormous, and on top of that they will be dressing in costume, so the amount of enthusiasm they are putting into the cultural festival is considerable.

Even Hirano, who is among the less ardent group, finds his spirits raised.

Now then, what about Kagiura?

heyy . So I wanted to ask for an expansion on the teammate lestappen au (pls?) a continuation to what happened before?

Like we called Charles and talked to him and maybe persuaded him to leave Ferrari and then he accepts the idea and tells them that he's leaving but his dom and the team are so angry with him and then max hears some shouting from the Ferrari motorhome so he goes to see what's is going on and when he sees that charles is getting yelled at he protects him(?) And calls for us and maybe he also calls for christian since he's the team boss and can take care of charles contract(?)

And then it can be angst or soft vibes .

Tbh I just started rambling halfway so sorry if there's something not quite right or logical . And btw ur writing is amazing

YES YES ABSOLUTELY I CAN!!!!

Okay so for anyone who missed the initial ask, this is an offset of the D/S AU where you’re Max’s dominant and you and max convince Charles to leave Ferrari and his awful dominant and join redbull to be Max’s teammate and under your care as the team dominant. If you want to read the full ask just click on the first tag of this post.

So firstly it would obviously take a very long time for Charles to actually decide to leave Ferrari. Maybe it takes pretty much an entire season? And throughout that season, I think you’d start sneakily doing scenes with Charles? Like Charles will start sneaking into your hotel room and scening with you and max because his team Dom just isn’t giving him what he needs.

Max would have been vocal about Charles leaving Ferrari and coming to red bull for MONTHS before Charles actually makes the decision. For the longest time charles would just giggle and look away whenever max would say he should leave.

Maybe his breaking point is when Ferrari find out he’s being doing this? They tell him that they’ll add a clause into his contract for next season stating that he’s only allowed to scene with their team dominant and no one else. That’s what breaks him because he realises there’s no way he can get through the next season if he can’t scene with you and max.

He tells you and max the next day that he’s made his decision and he tells Christian right after that. Christian is, of course, absolutely delighted with this news and immediately telling Charles he’ll have the contract drafted promising him at least two seasons.

It takes him another two weeks before he finally musters up the courage to tell Ferrari that he won’t be resigning with them for the next season and uh… yeah it doesn’t go well.

He ends up with four men yelling at him in Italian and someone calls his team dominant and so now they’re also there yelling at him. He tries to explain that this is the best move for his career but they won’t listen.

Maybe his team dominant says you won’t even like him anymore? His team dom says that you only liked scening with him because it was a thrill but it won’t be like that when he’s actually assigned to you. And that just breaks Charles‘s little heart? Because he is leaving his team and his heart for you and max and the thought that maybe neither of you even love him just…. That coupled with everyone else yelling is far too much for him.

Luckily for him, he had told max he was telling Ferrari that day and so max had decided to hang around outside the Ferrari hospitality just in case Charles needed him. And when he heard shouting, he instantly ran in to see what was going on.

Max obviously couldn’t understand the Italian but he could understand that Charles was crying and all these people were yelling at him. Maybe max just grabs Charles and gets him out of there? He knows that no one in Ferrari is stupid enough to try and lay a hand on him so he’s pretty well protected and he also knows you’ll put the fear of god into all of them later when you find out what’s happened.

Max takes Charles right to his driver room, not caring who sees because Charles needs comfort. He texts you to get to his driver room immediately and as soon as you get there, you’re greeted by the sight of Charles sniffling against Max’s shoulder and realise pretty quickly that things clearly did not go well when he told Ferrari.

When you find out exactly what happened, you plan to let Christian know and then the two of you would make sure Ferrari knew their place and treated Charles well for the rest of the season. Charles, meanwhile, stays glued to Max’s side and trusts you to handle it all. He lets himself be comforted by his fellow submissive and soon to be teammate, and maybe that’s when he realises he has romantic feelings for max too? Cause he just… he feels so safe in Max’s arms.

Once you and Christian have dealt with Ferrari, you take your boys back to your hotel room for cuddles and reassurance and maybe a soft gentle scene to calm Charles down and make sure he knows he’s very very loved.

To be frankly honest i don’t think pride parades would be his thing? it’s very loud and lots of people which i think would make him a little nervous.

just hold his hand while you’re there ok? he’s doing his best even being there and having you beside him all the time will just make him feel slightly more at ease.

He will make sure you have fun even though it’s not really his thing and who knows maybe he’ll warm up to it by the end? i think he likes the idea of it, just not all the people there.

Soda is going to make like 17 friends and then invite them all back to the house for another party so be ready for that. also, remind him to hydrate because he will forget.

He won’t be in a cool outfit he’ll in his leather jacket and jeans, but maybe you can get him to wear a pin.

He will be kinda uninterested tbh but he will let you drag him around all day. and hey, maybe it’ll grow on him over time you never know.

The only time that he’ll leave your side is if he spots some homophobes, then he’ll start a fight as we know Dallas does so just, keep an eye on him. or don’t and join the fight, whatever works for you 🤷‍♂️

Two-Bit

He’s “there for the drink and only the drink.” is what he tells you but he still gets you to help him pick a nice outfit and paint his nails for him. once you get there the drink becomes his second priority.

Two actually really enjoys himself in the end but he has a habit of wandering off so be careful. He will be flirting with everyone he sees unless you tell him you’re not comfy with that then he’ll stop

He probably brought a disposable camera with him so a few days later he’ll have a picture of all the people he spoke with and all the memories you made

Steve

Was probably dragged along by soda. If you want him to wear something for the occasion you should sneak into his room the night before and decorate one of his sleeveless denim jackets. he gives me the vibe that he’d rather DIY his outfit rather than buy it.

Same as soda he will be 10 times more hyper and he would be showing off his gymnastics talent doing flips off cars and stuff.

He would be similar to dallas though since as soon as he spotted a homophobe he would right there to beat them up. nobody ruins this day for him.

Johnny

I don’t think it’s Johnnys thing to go to a parade so he’d either go but be slightly terrified of everyone or he would let you go with your other friends and stay behind.

if he stayed behind though he’d love to hear everything about your day once you got home. then you two would go to the cinema together.

If you did go together then he’d be a little like Darry, very prepared for anything that could happen and he would make some code word that means “time to go”

random question but as someone who's considering trying to do my own rewrite esque thing... is it weird that i want to like. Fix bramble and squirrel's relationship instead of having him continue to be an abuser? Maybe it's just the fact that I liked them as a kid (or that i havent read SqH/past OOTS) but there's this weird disconnect where the bramble in my head is apparently a lot different than other people read in the text lol. figured id ask you since you're The wc rewrite person

You can sort through my tags on Bramblestar if you'd like ideas. I am the king of "Bramble why can't you be GOOD." I talk a lot about how he is abusive, what I enjoy and what I don't enjoy about the idea of an abuse plotline, so on.

I personally won't recommend fixing Bramblesquirrel as a ship though. I think it would be a lot better to rewrite them as adopted siblings... tbh I've never seen a romantic BrambleSquirrel rewrite that didn't keep blaming Squilf as "just as bad" and "pushing each other's buttons" which I think is a really, really uncomfortable implication considering canon

Like... unfortunately, fanfic is inherently a commentative medium. We can fix, we can prune, we can rewrite, but we can't break free of the implications of canon.

I personally feel like the line is so fine that's impossibly razor thin.

So if you are committed to fixing BrambleSquirrel, please try to make sure to treat Squilf as valid. Bramble is constantly downplaying and ignoring her because she's loud and assertive, even though she's nearly always right.

She couldn't trust him with that secret; the second he found out he abandoned his family and acted passive aggressive for an entire year. He trained in the Dark Forest and let Leafpool take the fall for secrets he leaked to Hawkfrost. He throws Firestar's legacy at Squilf while getting pissed off that anyone throws Tiger's legacy back at him, even when they're not.

He holds the fact she wants a new baby over Squilf's head to invalidate her concerns all Squilf's Hope long, screams at her for caring about endangering kittens, and then leads a battle patrol against pregnant women.

Please please keep these in mind. Please either eliminate these, or for fuck's sake, don't "Bothsides" these issues

I think if you're going to fix Bramblesquirrel, you cannot give Bramble power. You'll have to completely change these situations so that he is not the deputy or leader, as these conflicts drive the plot. I can recommend Brackenstar or Thornstar instead, have Squilf lose a deputy position over the secret, Bramble is upset but supportive.

(Especially tap into how ThunderClan treats the three differently after this reveal, "i was angry you didn't trust me, but i see why you did it <:/")

Keep the internal arguments between the two of them harmless. Model something like Honeymooners, where in spite of their arguments being loud and blustering, Squilf is clearly never ACTUALLY afraid of him and NONE of these fights end in Big Summer Blowouts.

(And a side note; if your relationships look like that, you deserve better. It is actually not normal to have huge fights every month. I was Shocked but it is true.)

Remember, remember, remember; you have to SHOW me them being a healthy couple in spite of any arguing they do. Imagine that you CANT tell me "they love each other." You can never say that word-- can I still tell they are a loving couple?

If the answer is ever no, reevaluate.

Okay, I really need to know: how do villains react to Talon!Dick? Joker, Penguin, Ivy, Riddler, Killer Croc, you know classic Gotham rogues who know him almost whole his life? And how does Dick react to them? Does he continue to fight crime after transformation and use his wings to hit bad guys during combat? What if some villain is allergic to feathers?

I hadnt thought that far ahead so it's not a solid idea yet but here's a lil brainstorming! Anyone feel free to add to this! I think a little after Dick's disappearance, they'll catch wind of Nightwing being missing eventually and maybe quite quickly too. Im sure some of the villains would even take the chance to taunt the fam about it and usually it does NOT end well for the villains cause the fam are on the look out for Nighwing. They’re worried, they’re tired, they’re trying, and they do not have time to deal with them trying to get under their skin. They just want him back.

Like you’ll for sure hear the classic, ���Your little Blue Bird gone missing?”, “So I’ve heard that our dear Nightwing hasn’t been showing up as of late!” or anything along those. And Im sure the thugs talks about him to.

“Nightwing’s been gone for a long while. You think something happened?”

“Who cares? Less of the bats to worry about.“

“I dunno, man. I’d take Nightwing over Batman or any of the bat brats. One of the kid’s got a damn sword! And don’t even mention the Red Hood...”

Slade, Deathstroke, whatever we wanna call him tbh DHSGDH. from what I remember, he is quite fixated on Dick/Nightwing so like, he might be some of the first few to notice Dick hasn’t been showing up. That’s definitely going to make him suspicious and curious on what might have happened to Nightwing. 

When the villains see him again tho, Im sure they’re in for a rather big surprise tbh. Like imagine seeing this kid you fought with so often and pretty much watched him grow and change, and then suddenly he lost most of what you remembered about him and now has wings and eyes do some glowy shit and is a bit more stabby than you remembered.

before i head to bed—i absolutely agree. i think with max heavily involved for the rbr!driver au, lestappen would fit and then for the ferrari driver!au it strictly just charles. also a name would work perfectly to tell the difference! I sorta like Bones as a name (chosen name) but name is up for discussion! but me thinks having such an unique name would help, also because Bones sounds so like deathly and like somebody you'd associate with goth/emo group but then this happy wild card driver is bouncing around talking anybody's ear off is HYSTERICAL to me.

Bones just happily lets him take a picture and send it to charles and is actually excited to see the outcome because hello, two of the most popular drivers are like fighting over her. she’s allowed a bit of an inflated ego with that. she’s so happy-go-lucky, sunshine, always sweet & caring (unless charles but even still) to the public so nobody in a million years would expect her to be a little shit and sorts fueling a fire like this. especially when charles texts her asking what the fuck are those hickies on her thighs and demanding answers from max because ‘thought you guys weren’t fucking?? what changed??’ and probably making it his mission to not only get back at max but make sure bones remembers who they fucked first

and hell, to really add fuel, she’d probably wear a skirt with knee highs that are just a bit too big on her so she’s gotta have garter belts on to keep them up but part of the hickies are showing and she’s just “lalala” and maybe some people are bold enough to ask but she shrugs it off like “nothing! don’t worry bout silly clumsy me!” but she knows max and charles knows exactly what they are.

this fire is rapidly spreading between the two and bones just somehow in the middle but also on the sidelines roasting marshmallows straight vibing because they’re secretly a little shit who likes chaos and like maybe i’ve already thought of bones history which involves a really shitty ex and this is the first time they’ve felt wanted by anybody, let alone two guys like max and charles soooo.

maybe was fwb with a driver from another team in the past or even a past teammate so it’s kind of a comfortable dynamic to fall into with charles and max. she loves the chaos. she def loved pitting them against each other before the whole hickey fiasco, but when she fucks max and he leaves those hickeys on her thighs, it only gets worse. i can imagine if they’re in the same hotel charles could come banging on max’s door.

Yes, absolutely! I didn't used to, but now I try to reply to all of them, even if it's just with a few heart emojis.

A lot of the times when I read fic, I like to browse the comments to see speculation from other readers and what the author has to say about it.

Sooo I guess I reply to comments to spark conversation! I think it makes it a bit easier to ask questions / engage with the material as a reader, because they know I'll try to answer as best I can (and I do!!)

6.) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

None of them!!! I don't believe in unhappy endings. Life is hard enough as it is

I mean, they all have happy endings. But maybe Take Care of Me, Please? The idea of being loved and taken care of unconditionally is very appealing to me. I guess that's not surprising

Not directly on the fics themselves, but I have gotten, at this point, several anons criticising my writing and my fics here on tumblr. It's kind of exhausting because I feel like the obikin community itself seems so nice but SOMEONE is sending me these anons and it could really be anyone. It kind of makes me jump at shadows a little bit?

It's probably someone I don't know, rather than someone playing nice to my face and then sending me shit behind my back, but... What if it isn't? :(

I've done a little bit of a lot of different kinks, I think. Lingerie, somno, humiliation, boot worship, lactation, daddy kink... There are a couple I really wanna do still (pet play, body swap, etc), but at the same time I kind of want to do more of the ones I've already done? So idk, we'll see where it goes

Noooope. I'm very interested in AUs, but I'm just not interested in crossovers

Also no! It's a dream of mine, a little bit, but at the same time I see why no one would be particularly interested in translating anything I've written so far. No biggie

Okay this one is mixed. I have participated in round robins in an obikin server (that's what all tied up in knots is), but there was never any real commitment to writing those things. It was just based on whoever was free and had inspiration. I've actually been thinking I'll take my name off all tied up in knots, cause I don't particularly see that going anywhere, and I feel weird taking credit for it

HOWEVER. I would love to write a collab with someone I know. I'm not sure if I'd be any good at it, but I'd try!

14.) What's your all time favorite ship?

I do feel like it has to be Obikin. I'm honestly a multishipper when it comes to Obi-Wan, but I got tired of all the anti-Jedi sentiment in some of the popular pairings (which is the same problem I had with DinLuke), so now I stick mostly to Jangobi/Kenfetti and Obikin.

15.) What's a WIP you'd like to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Disregarding the whole round robin fic, I really do hope to finish all of them. Keeping this section optimistically blank!

16.) What are your writing strengths?

Hm... this question took me longest to come up with an answer. I guess it's worldbuilding and smut (which are sort of on opposite ends of the spectrum, lol)

Worldbuilding obviously is more of a thing in longer fics, but I feel like even in smaller ones I'm able to incorporate background details that I'm dangerously fond of. For example, the super soft blanket Obi-Wan is very territorial over in You can call me baby (You can call me love) is a gift from Ahsoka. And in Your Body, Superimpose It On Me, Anakin's Padawan braid is in an ornate glass box on Obi-Wan's nightstand, and Obi-Wan takes a moment to, like, caress the designs on the box every day.

17.) What are your writing weaknesses?

Well... I can only really write according to the mood I'm in. This was not a problem for a year or two there as I wrote shorter fics, but then I started writing Their fragrance came from you... At first, I was super depressed and so was Obi-Wan. And then the tone got lighter as I started feeling better. But then, you know, I have several chapters where the characters are supposed to be happy and light-hearted and suddenly I'm depressed again and I can't write the next chapters of my fic and then I get more upset about it because it's really important to me and it just becomes kind of a vicious cycle of feeling bad and not writing.

Maybe I need a separate sort of vent fic for when I'm upset? But again, I don't like unhappy endings. And if it has to get better at some point, then I'll have a hard time writing that unless I'm actually feeling better. If that makes sense.

18.) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Sooo I do definitely borrow words from other languages, but I always explain them first, and they're usually more like... concepts or objects that are specific to that culture. Of course the character is thinking/speaking those words in that language; there is no translation!

I've never had a reason to have whole sentences of dialogue be in different languages, but I guess if there was a fic which needed that, I wouldn't necessarily mind doing it? But the default is writing everything in english, because, yknow, the fic is in english

19.) First fandom you wrote for?

Okay I WAS gonna say that I already answered this with the dinluke thing. But I do remember writing fanfiction for Dinosaur King which (thankfully) never saw the light of day...

20.) Favorite fic you've ever written?

I feel like, as my only longfic, that's gotta be Their fragrance came from you. I know a lot of people write it off immediately because it's a/b/o (or even because it's supposed to be alpha Obi-Wan), but to me it's got everything. Enemies to lovers. Fun side characters. Pining. Battles. Betrayal. Romance. Sex. Even anti-heteronormativity!

To me it feels very much like I set out to (overambitiously) write an epic, and somehow I'm succeeding. I'm not saying it's the best fic that's ever been written, but it's far exceeded any expectations I had for it when I started.

Bonus: What fic would you want to rewrite one day?

Not necessarily rewrite, but I do wanna do edits to Lace me up, because the first few chapters are just not up to a comfortable standard of writing for me. And I'd be okay with leaving it that way if it was a standalone, but I really like its sequel. Plus I have some ideas for other fics in that series, so it would kind of put all that up to scrutiny again if/when I post a third installment

Regressor Yuna headcanons

~You can’t tell me that Yuna wouldn’t have severe trauma considering she’s been on her own for so many years and her parents genuinely just didn’t care where she was or what was happening to her.

~Yuna probably would have regressed a couple times before she got summoned to the other world but never actually knew what it meant. Probably vent regressing when she got too lonely. Maybe she researched a couple things online and found the term age regression and just brushed it off because, “well that couldn’t be me, I don’t have childhood trauma I must just be over tired.”

~Then when she meets Fina and her family and everyone else it just suddenly hits her like “oh. I had a really bad childhood huh? This is what a loving family’s supposed to be like.”

~After that she has a harder time not regressing whenever she gets back from a mission just from the overwhelming feeling of love and safety

~So Yuna gains the ability to turn Kumayuru and Kumakyuu into cubs. I forgot what she does to earn this power so I’ll instead share the idea that has been rotating around my head. She gains the power due to accepting her own regression.

~Yuna carrying around her bear cubs everywhere with her when she's small like they’re stuffed animals.

~Making childhood snacks like pudding and needing someone to tell her when regressed to stop eating desserts or she’s going to make herself sick

~The shyest little cub whenever she’s regressed. I feel like she’d trust Fina if she tried to coax Yuna out of her room but otherwise she just hides away.

~Fina doing her best to watch over Yuna when she’s small. She'd would definitely know how to look after her considering she took care of Shiri for years. And if Yuna gets really embarrassed she just tells her that it’s her way of making it up to her for all of the things she’s done. (Also Fina would probably be a regressor too but that’s for another post entirely)

~Probably made a bunch of little gear for herself but is 90% of the time too embarrassed to use it and even less so around anyone.

~Fina and Noa being very proud at being the “older siblings” whenever Yuna is small.

~Cliff is 100% father figure material for Yuna while she's small. Noa probably mentioning something about Yuna regressing and Cliff just going into protective father mode.

It's so old, but my Vampire!Eddie Boyfriend headcanons. Looking back it could do with a lot of editing, but the idea that Eddie was actually turned into a vampire because of the bat bites was brilliant (credit to whoever came up with that first).

A character who is perfect to me (wouldn't change a thing)

I got TWO, season 1-3 Hopper, because I really loved his whole punch first ask questions later. And his weight, I loved his weight. I think his weightloss in season 4 wasn't just for Stranger Things, I think he genuinely wanted to be skinnier. Which ... I mean his body his rules, but I loved him more when he was heavier tbh.

And OBVIOUSLY EDDIE. HOW DID THEY COME UP WITH THE PERFECT CHARACTER?! They could have made him a one, maybe even two sided drug dealer who couldn't graduate high school. But no, he has so much heart and SOFTNESS. I actually fell in love with him after the cafeteria scene, when he was with Chrissy. He just became this caring, open, kind guy who also had a LUNCHBOX full of fcking DRUGS.

The character I relate to the most and why

You already hate me by now because I've spoken about Eddie so much, but yeah ... Eddie. It's one of the reasons why he's so well-loved. The outsider, the one everyone thinks is weird - I think all can relate on one level or another. Especially growing up ... not so well off. Seeing Eddie live in a trailer but he's still so popular; it gives a lot of gratification (if that's the right word?)

Character(-s) I hate the most and why

Mr Wheeler - he is literally such a shITTY DAD. WTF. In his daily life he doesn't care about his family, or show any interest in them.

STEVE'S PARENTS - WHERE ARE THEY? WHAT ARE THEY DOING? I mean they could be travelling for work but that's still neglect.

Billy - if he wasn't a good looking character no one would like him. In the original script he was actually supposed to called Lucas the n-word because he's racist. And in the scenes with Lucas, there are underlying motifs that show his racism. So, yeah, I hate racists.

I've read everything on the klaber/voller tag and I loved your fic. I just wanna scream about them tbh. Brainrot is strong. What are some of your canon compliant headcanons for them individually and a couple??

Firstly, I’m so glad you loved it and let me know. Nothing warms my heart more than knowing someone enjoys what I create and it’s not just me desperately shouting random things into the void :)

And now to your question.

My number one headcanon is something I’ve already mentioned on AO3 and basically based my fic on (although it’s probably not exactly canon complaint since I’ve heard/read somewhere that Klaber is supposed to be American) and it’s the idea of Klaber saving Voller after his unfortunate encounter with Indiana Jones and the metal bar. Maybe Klaber had been observing Voller for some time already, but felt too awkward to just walk up to him and tell him he shared his cause and found him intriguing. However, he happened to witness how Voller fell from the train’s roof, so he rushed to rescue him, saving his life. And, voilà, here is Klaber’s excuse to approach Voller.

Then, I think Voller is the more fragile out of the two, but also fragile in general. As an illustration I’ll use the scene right before Mason got killed, because she struck Voller’s arm with something (I honestly have no idea what it was) and the only thing Voller did was protecting his face. I mean, he already got hit there once; understandable. But my point is, he wasn’t trying to fight back in any way. He could have grabbed something that was around. He also had a gun somewhere on him for sure. But no. He just stood there, cowering slightly, and waited for Klaber to take Mason down… Klaber may be the lapdog, but – or maybe because of it – he’s definitely the more protective one.

I also like the idea of Voller being sort of incapable of loving another person. Klaber had been gazing at Voller in awe throughout the whole movie, but Voller never seemed to requite. I believe he was aware of Klaber’s feelings towards him, he himself must have been somehow fond of Klaber, otherwise he wouldn’t have kept him around and close, but he was so focused on his plan that he couldn’t properly care about anything or anyone else. I’m not saying their relationship is toxic, though. They’re just complicated.

And lastly, when they were in the cave and Teddy jumped on Klaber’s back, causing his gun to fly from his hands, and then threw the gun to Indy, who immediately started shooting, Klaber and Voller took cover behind the tomb. And Voller handed Klaber his gun (no pun intended). And there are three conclusions that I reached from this – a. Klaber is better at shooting; b. Voller trusts him with his life more than he trusts himself; and c. Voller might be the mastermind and boss, but in spite of everything he possibly believes in, he’s scared to actually take someone’s life, whereas Klaber either doesn’t care (could even enjoy the thrill of it, since – especially earlier in the movie – he wanted to deal with everyone slightly inconvenient by simply shooting them), or does it out of necessity, for he knows that, when it comes to the crunch, Voller is too soft to kill and would most probably die if he was left on his own.

i'm so sorry for that monday production story, i hope it doesn't affect you as much now. adults really do say some wild shit and don't even realize how damaging it can be. my dad would point out all the broken and abandoned houses and dirty cars on the street and say they were mine, and i always replied they were his, and we'd start bickering, and then laughed it off, and i only thought about it recently and have no idea why he would say such a thing? i think it subconsciously got ingrained that i'm not good with housekeeping and generally don't deserve nice things (sorry for trauma dumping). just, adults are so weird with their kids and don't realize the damage

It also goes really well with her "Niemand wünscht sich ein behindertes Kind" (lit. "Nobody wishes for a disabled child" but can more accurately be translated as "Nobody wants a disabled child") which she only said once and not even about me but basically one shotted me and has been squatting in my brain evilly ever since. Top ten fucked up sentences to completely devastate your disabled child, number 4 will surprise you 😎👍

(I actually did bring that one to her attention years later but she dismissed any effects it had on me on grounds she didn't mean it that way 😎👍)

Yea, that's some bullshit tbh. Like, that's not the kinda shit a father should be saying to their kid, like bro this is an impressionable young mind in your care who trusts you blindly, not your fucking sibling or highschool bestie you can shoot the shit with. Parents give like zero shits what they say to their children, it's wild. And very concerning sometimes

And it would probably be possible to heal that shit more easily if they actually recognised that, maybe even apologised, but at least in my mum's case, she categorically refuses to acknowledge any instances of one of her children being negatively impacted by something she's said or done if we're the ones bringing it to her attention.

Like, I think she recognises some of the stuff she's said and done as not great but any attempt to amend that list will result in her "oh so I'm a horrible person and at fault for all your problems and you refuse to take responsibility hmmm?" spiel 😔

For the record tho I wanna say I don't think she's a horrible mum and especially when it came to material well being/physical health/etc she really did try her best and I could've had it much worse. She was an underpaid nurse raising three children (two of them disabled) mostly on her own while also caring for different sick elderly relatives over the years.

It's a miracle she made it work and while I do think some stuff was unnecessary, some of especially the later stuff that was more affective (not like hitting or anything, the only parental figure who ever hit me was my grandma who did it exactly one time tho even that took many years to process which is how I know "it's okay to hit your kids" ppl are full of shit) which I can far more easily understand & forgive. That said, if your own child says "[thing you did or said] had a negative impact on me" maybe believe them lmao

DETENTION GANG HEADCANONS!! pt.1

i love the Detention Gang TM of tawog so extremely much there's just no way for me to put it into words i daydream about them a lot so i have tons and tons of things that I think they would be like so , here goes will take sooo many parts probably not tagging this blog is mine and i can do what i want lols (if anyone perceives me i will cry) *Applies to all* - despite always fighting they appreciate each other a lot -> (i like to think that since their first appearance, their friendship has developed drastically and even when they're at each other's throats they actually aren't mad mad at each other) -> despite their cruel bickering and physical fights, they will usually make sure not to deliberately go after the others' weaknesses/insecurities (ex. Mowdown's voicebox , Scythe's mental issues, RC's gender expression, etc) --- - nobody actually thinks or ever thought Julius is the leader. they just hang out aimlessly and whichever one of them comes up with the best idea of what to do will get followed for the day (which IS usually Julius but anw) -> with that being said, Julius has the aux cord. always. - Julius and Mowdown are the ones usually planning up the evil schemes while the rest just like to get in on them - Reaper is only really there with them to be somewhere tbh , but despite having little involvement he still considers himself part of the team, he's just the quieter more distance-y type (doesn't make him any less aggressive though) - they are kind of unhealthy for each other , honestly. despite them caring about each other they encourage the bad parts in themselves and others too much. but that's a given , since they're THE detention gang, after all --- - they have a group chat and they clown on each other all. the. time - Reaper has the group chat muted , Mowdown threatened to leave more than once , Julius always pings everybody to let them know what he wants to do for the day , RC usually just vents/rants to no-one in particular, and Scythe only sends in memes & pictures of graffiti he did --- - the bullying they did and do , i like to think , has decreased from first appearance to latest. by that i mean that they resort to physical violence less , but still make remarks about people , because that's just what they do.

Once I read that if you couldn’t write, that you should read, and I’ve been reading so much stuff that it finally got me out of my block. (I’ve been in one since may, even though I have been writing-posted like 3 one-shots in that time; but it feels different.)

SO, I have been going at it with my wip fest fic, and I am so liking it. I’m still working through getting them to use the tail, (quick remider: Baz got a tail, Simon went crazy and jumped him at night.) I’m only vibing with the fic at this point tbh, and if the boys aren’t little shits, the fic might turn a bit fun!

Anyway. I’m going to give you two bits. I’m not sure if the second is too spicy, because they really aren’t doing anything too suggestive, but I’m going to put it under the cut for the things Simon is mentioning.

But here’s the first: a bit of oblivious Simon.

What I do know, however, is that I have never seen any bloke in that way. Or any woman, for what concerns me. Hells, I don’t think I’ve ever thirsted for anyone. I don’t think I even felt that way towards Agatha; sure, I was –still am– fond of and deeply care about her, but even when we were dating, I didn’t feel like I was going to implode if I didn’t get my hands on her. I think I wanted her just enough to have sex with her, the couple of times we did.

I shrug again, trying to shake off the realization that I have never felt that way for anyone, that I didn’t even feel that with my girlfriend, the girl I was supposed to marry and all that. I have never desired anyone.

Except…

Is he going to realise it??? Is he finally understanding??? We’ll see.

Now, I feel like I need to say this, but for me these bitches are very into being degraded, both of them. Just the way they managed to fall in love with each other in canon when all they did was fighting and insult each other is enough cue for me to strongly believe that, so, yes.

He looks too good. (Would he be into that too? Being praised?) I scoff. Of course he would, he’s Baz. He’s perfect, smart, bloody beautiful. That’s something everyone knows. So, maybe—What if, instead of throwing more insults at him, I acknowledge what I think of him? How would he respond? Would he like that better than being humiliated?

“God, I fucking love your thighs,” I say, squeezing them for emphasis. His eyes flutter closed, and he lets out a soft moan.

Oh. So he does like it, but it doesn’t bring as much reaction as the other comments. Pity. I could spend every hour of the day worshipping every inch of his body.

And because I wasn’t lying with that confession, I lick the inside of his leg. Where he’s softer… Better. He squeezes his legs close, only a bit, when I fit my teeth on his right thigh. 

Come on. You can do better than that, Baz. Crush my head. Suffocate me.

Ah, the thighs are another character at this point.

I wish I had smut to show, but there has been a lot of teasing and dirty talk going on that I haven’t actually gotten to the actions per se, but yesterday i did the outline, and the next thing is sex, so, I’m going to go write it now, actually. (Update: it’s written.)

And because I’m a good person, here’s a bit of the outline:

Simon laps at his ass, licking around his hole and feeling it clench around his tongue, he pushed a finger inside and bites the back of his thigh as he works him open. Baz pushes his hips back to fuck himself on his tongue, but simon doesn’t like the implication of not doing a good job, so he spanks baz. Takes off the tie in his mouth and asks him to say “thank you” for each spank.

(More like it was an idea I wrote down because I would have forgotten otherwise.)

ok so abt the amelia thing i mentioend in the tags of the other post? im thinking abt making a companion fic to the one i just posted but also i wanna preface it w some ideas abt amelia i think abt sm that kinda get undermined by other characters (even as a local liam fan i STILL need amelia in my life you know)

a lot of times? shes just written as Nice. and thats it, unless shes ALSO being portrayed as like... doting on liam and bryce and like im sorry but i dont think thats quite accurate. she IS kind, and she DOES care for her friends but i feel like this compassion gets SUPER oversimplified

the thing is, people make her revolve around the others, and i think there IS some basis for this; she cares abt the others a LOT and tries her best to help!! its a part of her character. but what people miss is that she DOESNT tend to act selflessly like constantly. she spends the first 6 episodes asking and trying SO hard to be up for elimination despite everything, even when stone makes liams team be up for elimination- but the thing is that i dont think not being selfless means shes selfish either, which i think is also overlooked (it CAN be inbetween). shes acting actually not unrealistically in this situation, she wants to be safe so it MAKES SENSE that she doesnt really think abt bryce or liam going home and tbh i think thats ok. shes under a lot of stress. the fact that everyone was divided into teams likely didnt help either

but then comes ep 7, and the fact that she loses the contest on purpose to get liam home i think overshadows this? and like she is 100% such an mvp here and i think she is literally so kind bc yeah liam Has gone thru the wringer at this pt. but this scene isnt Revealing that she Actually Wants To Look Out For Them Above All Else, its... very realistic guilt. a LOT of how i see her character i think revolves around guilt that i never see ppl portray her w

the thing is that i dont think she likes to see ppl unhappy, as very frequently shown and explained thru her helping the others! shes the one who is frequently shown looking out for others, and this IS bc shes very compassionate!!!! but i think it is partially abt the fact that it 1. is smth she can control, its smth she can DO, and 2, that if she doesnt help it kinda seems like it eats at her? helping the others during those 7 months WAS about caring abt them!!! and its just also that when ppl she cares abt are struggling , it helps her, too, to help them, yknow?? like its One thing that can make the plane more Safe and comfortable, and bc she DOES look out for people, but this IS often when worst comes to worst- shed help before that, yeah! but i think before it gets REALLY bad its easy for her to get overwhelmed with her OWN problems. this is only pushed to the extreme when the only thing she CAN do to make living on the plane bearable is to forget everything before it and embrace it, and subsequently, pushing those problems on the wayside, its a LOT easier to help others

as for the guilt, i feel like the scene in ep 7 is abt compassion but also about. SUCH heavy guilt. its not her fault, but she was also the only one who was Actively Aware of the fact that liam would sink, AND able go down there. and i think thatd mess with ANYONE. and the fact that suddenly this person she Couldve helped before Couldnt Be Comforted because she Couldnt Stop The Worst From Happening kinda like. Got to her. in ep 7, it isnt that things "revolve around liam," now, its the fact that she feels GUILTY. now looking back at every competition she tried to have HER team lose seems like just another instance she couldve stopped him from drowning before it happened. its extreme guilt, because blaming airy was easy, but airy doesnt budge, and all she has control of here is potentially helping others, and its like she failed, and she wants soooo badly to make up for it, because she already cared abt liam, but now theres also guilt around the fact that she DIDNT act selflessly because it WAS smth she could do. and it fucks me up so much
