ORIGIN: "Thaddeus B. Sivana has fought Captain Marvel more often than any of the World's Mightiest Mortal's enemies. Just as the Joker, who mocks death and revels in the suffering and losses of others, is my antithesis, Sivana is opposite of Captain Marvel. While Captain Marvel is a being of magic, Sivana knows only the secrets of science, only what the intelligence of man can discover. He has been widowed twice, and the pain of those losses led to his becoming twisted and embittered against the very humanity he once invented and created for.

His knowledge is more than earth-based, though. He spent years in self-imposed exile on another planet, studying a race of creatures there, becoming adept in the secrets of that world. Perhaps his time there further twisted him into what he is. He has no physical power of strength, but he has developed a means to walk through walls by speaking a scientific formula of sorts.

More magic words, even if they are clothed in science. I wonder if Sivana is even aware how affected he is by forces beyond his control."

Venus Sivana and her emissary, Mr. Mind

God-Empress of her self-named planet in its Mystical Aspect, Venus was an ally to Diana and the Amazons until meeting and falling in love with a human: Doctor Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, long time foe of Shazam's Champion, The Captain. Venusians became recurring foes of the Shazam siblings, driving a wedge between not only Venus and Wonder Woman, but between Venus and Aphrodite, her Earthly manifestation and anchor to physical reality, an anchor unmoored in an act of desperation. While Venus is as immortal and indestructible as any God-Entity, her exile into purely mystical existence embittered her human husband even further, prompting Sivana to begin a war on magic that would change the balance between science and magic forever.

Mr. Mind, stranded in physical reality, abandoned Sivana in pursuit of his own path home, a pursuit with its own dire consequences for the mystical multiverse...

An envelope arrives for a certain god, seven symbols for seven demons etched deeply into the expensive paper by a mediocre ballpoint pen. Inside: a brief note (“Consider this my application”), a business card (Dr. Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, MP, PsyD, ScD), and a printed news article detailing the deaths of the entire board of executives at Sivana Technologies.

The God of Balance is interrupted from his work at a desk by one of his many ushabti, the stone servant's face unmoving but a feeling of startled anticipation stemming from them. It seems their master wasn't the only one not expecting anything to actually show up. Raising an eyebrow, Thoth carefully sets his project aside to examine the objects arranged on a stone tray; first the envelope, then the card, the note, and finally the article.

The evident pride in such destruction gives him some pause... But there's still potential here. Perhaps with some guidance, proper instructing...

Selecting a blank scroll from his well stocked supply, he easily transmutes it into a blank envelope and page. Taking his palette and stylus from an obediently approaching second ushabti, he writes a quick message in reply- once in English, and again in hieroglyphs. Carefully worded in a way that the second contains a number of small spells, the effects activated regardless if the reader fully comprehends the language or not. Placing the letter in the envelope, Thoth signs it with a likewise cryptic identifier; a circle above a crescent resting on it's full side. The Lunar Crest.

Handing the envelope to the ushabti that had first interrupted him, Thoth waves them off and returns the palette to the second before returning to his project. A small figurine not unlike the one of lapis lazuli he keeps on his primary desk- only this one is carved from red jasper, and depicts a beast awkwardly somewhere between a human mummy and a hyena with khopesh swords for forearms.

Since the film was (loosely) based on the Rankin-Bass The King Kong Show animated series, Dr. Who (not THAT guy) looks like he did in the cartoon, not as portrayed by actor Hideyo Amamoto.

Oddly enough, this version of Dr. Who (not THAT guy) looks very much Dr. Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, Captain Marvel's arch-nemesis.
