Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger FLT (act.1)
The story of the Royal Sentai ended with the defeat of the Uchu King Dagded Dujardin. That's how it was supposed to go, but…
Soon after, there was alittle incident. Make no mistake, Chikyu is also at risk. But, it's hopelessly stupid and ridiculous, and will definitely cause a big commotion. An inconceivable comedy. We'd be happy if it makes you laugh.
-Synopsis-
The kings have gathered for the "Six Kingdom Summit" to decide who's most suitable for the "face" of the new banknotes, but for some reason, the "story" takes an unexpected turn…..
Hehehehe.
Tumblr media
Sakai Taisei (Gira Husty/KuwagataOhger) "I'm going to rule the world!"
The king of Shugoddam, the largest country in Chikyu, and the one where the guardian god resides. He transforms into KuwagataOhger. He grew up in an orphanage in Shugoddam's castle town, but it later turned out that he was the younger brother of the (then) king, Racules. However, his true identity is a life form created by the Uchu King Dagded. His ability to communicate with the Shugods and his immortal body were inherited from Dagded.
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" I feel like I've also grown after being moved by Gira's feelings for others!! Thank you Gira Husty!
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" It's episode 49! It was cool to see everyone working together to take down Dagded! Don't mess with Racules's little brother! Stuff like that was good!
"Sakai Taisei's "confidential episode" that he can only talk about now!" I was given the OK for a take in episode 48 where my pants zipper was wide open! When I checked, it was well hidden. Thank goodness~💦
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" This will be the culmination of King-Ohger, and it may be the last time we'll be able to meet everyone! Let's enjoy it as much as we can!
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" Thank you for your support over the past year! The warmth and energy I felt when meeting everyone at these events was truly encouraging! It would make me happy if you continue to love Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger from now on! See you later ^_^
Tumblr media
Watanabe Aoto (Yanma Gast/TomboOhger) "I'm on top!"
The king of N'kosopa, the country of technology. He transforms into TomboOhger. N'kosopa's national power, which was once a satellite state of Shugoddam, has been greatly enhanced by technological innovations. Although he himself is a top class engineer, he was originally born in a slum and is considered an "upstart" He's got a bad mouth and says "octomush" and "slack jawed tanuki" on a daily basis.
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" Thank you Yanma Gast.
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" I have fond memories of episode 2, which was shot on location during the cold season, and was created together with the extras who applied to be in the show.
"Watanabe Aoto's "confidential episode" that he can only talk about now!" Halfway through my nose wouldn't stop running, so I was given multiple "runny nose NG" cuts.
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" With the story that everyone's put together in their minds, we'll beat things down with guts and brains until the very end.
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" Thank you for your support over the past year. The story ends here, but I'd be happy if you remember us again someday and come visit us here in Chikyu to play. And with that, until we meet again!!
Tumblr media
Murakami Erica (Hymeno Ran/KamakiriOhger) "I'll do as I please and follow my own path!"
The queen of Ishabana, the country of fine art and medicine. Having lost her parents in the "Wrath of God," she became king at a young age. She transforms into KamakiriOhger. She loves beautiful and cute things, and will always get what she likes by any means necessary. However, on the other hand, she's also a passionate doctor who has no hesitation in "saving someone's life."
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" I'd be happy if many people were "saved" by Hymeno's strength!
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" It's episode 28, where the kings swap bodies! In any case, we had fun and I think we saw the depth of each other's roles!
"Murakami Erica's "confidential episode" that she can only talk about now!" I brought my own bento to maintain my health and stay in shape, and yet……the famous tokusatsu "popeye onigiri," I never got to try it!!! (laughs)
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone who supported King-Ohger in all the regions around the country! Let's have lots of fun together 💛
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" Thank you for your support of King-Ohger over the past year! Even though the broadcast is over, I hope that this production will live on in everyone's hearts. Take care~💛💛💛

Hirakawa Yuzuki (Rita Kaniska/PapillonOhger) "Remain immovable"
The king of Gokkan, the country of ice and snow. They also serve as the Chief Judge of the International Court of Justice, which protects the neutrality of the world. Because of their position, not only do they always keep their facial expressions hidden, they rarely show emotion, but when they're at a loss, they sometimes makes strange noises. They're of few words, and never speak in public about anything unnecessary. The only thing they can make an exception for is their plushie of the animated character "Moffun." They transform into PapillonOhger.
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" It was difficult, but it was really fun to perform!
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" It's episode 5, "The King of Winter is Coming." It was my first trial scene, and it was a very important part of the story, so I clearly remember being very nervous during filming. It was really embarrassing when I said "death penalty" to Gira in the scene where I should've said "not guilty"……It's a fond memory now (laughs).
"Hirakawa Yuzuki's "confidential episode" that she can only talk about now!" To be honest, I'm not good with early mornings, I'm always in high spirits, but in the morning I'm about 2 beats behind in my reactions…(laughs).
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone who's supported King-Ohger!! Definitely look forward to it :) I'm also looking forward to meeting everyone! I also want to eat lots of tasty food~! (laughs).
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" To everyone who's supported Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger over the past year, thank you so much. Everyone's messages of support and the power you gave me at these events kept me going until the end. I'd be very happy if this production remains in everyone's hearts even after the broadcast is over. King-Ohger is the best!! Thank you!!!
Tumblr media
Kaku So (Kaguragi Dybowski/HachiOhger) "By any means necessary!"
The lord of Toufu, the country of agriculture. He transforms into HachiOhger. He's always humble and polite in tone, but the theatrics of his words and actions tend to stick out, so he's what you'd call a "trickster." He's "two faced" and will lie with ease in order to achieve his goals, but he's also willing to take the initiative to sweat and dirty his hands by "tainting them pitch black" in order to protect the lives of his people.
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" You're so cool Kaguragi! Just like you, I'll live big so that I can protect what's important to me!
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" It's episode 37!! Interacting with the former lord Iroki was fun to perform, and it was cool as Kaguragi too!!
"Kaku So's "confidential episode" that he can only talk about now!" Around the time the script was being finished, I avoided doing muscle training because I figured Kaguragi would be more of a brainy character, but then I thought a powerful character would be more interesting, and so I enjoyed my muscle training life.
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" At last, the final stage! We'll all do our best to bring out the charm of King-Ohger without fail. Please enjoy it until the very last moment!
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" Thank you very much for your support so far. Without everyone's warm support, I wouldn't have been able to make it through this past year at full power! There's no doubt, King-Ohger has become an irreplaceable and important work in my life! I hope this production will remain in everyone's hearts for a long time!
Tumblr media
Ikeda Masashi (Jeramie Brasieri/Spider Kumonos) "I rule over all and decide the fate of the world."
A man born between his father, the sixth hero that saved mankind 2,000 years ago, and his mother Nephila, a Bugnarak. His real name is Jeramie Idmonarak Ne Brasieri. He transforms into Spider Kumonos. As a "storyteller," he has long passed down the history of Chikyu, but finally realized his purpose when he showed up to stop the war between humans and Bugnarak.
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" I'm happy that I encountered Jeramie, and that he was loved and accepted.
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" The first six person Royal Arms transformation. It's the best part about Sentai heroes, and I remember getting goosebumps the moment I saw the image of those six.
"Ikeda Masashi's "confidential episode" that he can only talk about now!" I spilled coffee on my pure white costume.
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" We'll do our best to make it enjoyable for everyone.
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" King-Ohger wouldn't have been possible without everyone who has supported us. Thank you for all the love! May it continue to remain in everyone's memories. Thank you for the past year!!
Tumblr media
Yano Masato (Racules Husty/OhkuwagataOhger) "May the blessings of the Shugod's be upon these warriors!"
The former king of Shugoddam. He inherited the throne from his father, Causus Husty. He believed that it wouldn't be easy to protect Chikyu from the threat of the Uchu King Dagded, and while acting like a selfish and reckless tyrant himself, his intent was to earn Dagded's trust and patiently wait for his chance to prevail. He transforms into OhkuwagataOhger. He joins forces with the Royal Sentai in the final battle.
"Looking back, say a few words for the character you spent a year playing!" I'm happy that I was able to play Racules!
"Out of all 50 episodes, which one was the most memorable?" For me, I have memories from every episode, including the ones I didn't appear in, but I'll never forget (the performance of) Sakai-kun fighting during filming of the first episode.
"Yano Masato's "confidential episode" that he can only talk about now!" Starting from the second chapter, my body had gotten so big that my costume became abit too tight (laughs).
"Please show us your enthusiasm for the Final Live Tour!" We'll do our very best to entertain everyone!
"A message to the fans who have supported you over the past year!" King-Ohger was really deep, huh? ^_^ I was very happy to be involved in this production! I think I made it through this past year due to everyone's support. From now on, it would make me happy if it continues to live on in everyone's hearts forever!

Friends of the King-Ohgers
Shugoddam Douga: He was the retainer and right hand man for Racules, and was in charge of Shugoddam's "military" affairs. Although he tried to find employment in the other countries, he eventually returned to Shugoddam and became the retainer to the new king, Gira. His personality is always serious. Kogane & Boone: A young girl and boy who love Gira, and who lived with Gira in an orphanage in Shugoddam's castle town. Goroge: In a way, he's a prominent figure, who for better or for worse, is someone who expresses his honest thoughts through words and actions when a major incident occurs.
N'kosopa Shiokara: Yanma's retainer who has deep respect for him. Originally a criminal in an organization that circulated counterfeit money in N'kosopa, he was reformed after meeting Yanma. He took on a supportive position for Yanma, who believes that technology can change the future. Akka, Usuba & Mayuta: These three are citizens of N'kosopa, who along with Shiokara, were once involved in the circulation of counterfeit money. After meeting Yanma, they were reformed like Shiokara. Their relationship with Shiokara hasn't changed since then.
Ishabana Sebastian: Hymeno's retainer. He's actually 25 years old, but when he became Hymeno's butler, he was given special makeup to give him an older appearance, and his name was changed from his real name, Romane Dearborn. Originally, he was the heir to a ducal family that has existed in Ishabana for 1,000 years. Elegance Moun: The chief physician of Ishabana. As her name suggests, she has an elegant appearance, but shows no compromise in her work (medical care), and acts with a strong will and sound judgment. Hymeno also places deep trust in her. Cleo Urbanus: The head maid who serves Hymeno…..which she is, but she has great physical strength and is also good at martial arts. In order to save Hymeno and the others, she once confronted a group of Sanagim and fought them off. In the final battle, she fought bravely alongside Kuroda and the others.
Gokkan Morphonia: Rita's retainer. She's a lazy person, and would rather not work if she can help it, but she does her job well. She's also the person who best understands the pain of loneliness that Rita carries. As a "child of criminals," she has mixed feelings about her position as a candidate to succeed Rita.
Toufu Kuroda: Kaguragi's retainer. Because of his position, he's usually quiet, but when he speaks, he has a smooth voice. His appearance is that of a so called "Kuroko," but the cloth that covers his face has a smile drawn on it. There are other Kuroko's who work at Takitate Castle, but Kuroda is thought to be their leader. Suzume Dybowski: Kaguragi's younger sister whom he dotes on. She calls him "big brother." She was in poor health as a child. She lived in Shugoddam as a "hostage" for the reconstruction of Toufu, but when she realized Racules's "objective," she chose to live as his willing accomplice.

Earth Empire Bugnarak An evil kingdom ruled by Desnarak VIII. After the overthrow of Desnarak VIII, it was reborn as the "Inbetween Land Bugnarak." Although it was once destroyed by the Uchu King Dagded, efforts to rebuild were continued in secret with Jeramie at the forefront.
Desnarak VIII: Ruler of the Bugnarak. Possessing the characteristics of an earthworm, he obtains nutrients from the soil and transforms them into his own energy. He met his end after being betrayed by Prime Minister Kamejim, but emerged from the Land of Death in the final battle. He worked together with the Royal Sentai and sent Kamejim to the Land of the Dead. Kamejim: Although he was the Prime Minister who served Desnarak VIII, he was actually the mastermind behind the battle between humans and Bugnarak, and was "Kamejim of Vanity" of the Uchu Five Jesters, who infiltrated Chikyu under the orders of Dagded. After that, he resumed his activities as Kamejim Unka. Daigorg: General of the Bugnarak who possesses the characteristics of a horned dung beetle. A hero to the Bugnarak, he contributed greatly to the unification of the underground world. He was revived through the technology of Shugoddam, but was defeated in a fierce battle with King Caucasuskabuto. Gerojim: A monster possessing the characteristics of a mayfly. By applying light refraction, he can mimic the appearance of a human. After being saved by Jeramie, he became loyal to him, and soon after was active as Jeramie's retainer, who had become the king of the "Inbetween Land Bugnarak."
Uchu Five Jesters A group of aliens led by the Uchu King Dagded. Up until now, they've led different species on numerous planets to conflict and destruction. With their sights set on Chikyu as their next target, they first attacked the Inbetween Land Bugnarak, and then launched a full scale attack to destroy all living beings on Chikyu.
Dagded Dujardin: The creator of all insect life forms. He has an invulnerable body that's immune to all attacks, and because of this, he always has time to speak and act in a way that belittles his opponents. For him, the destruction of other life forms is merely a form of "tidying up." Goma Rosalia: One of the Uchu Five Jesters known as "Goma of Suspicion." He possesses the characteristics of a longhorn beetle. He has the ability to swap any concept, from human minds to matter, and has swapped the bodies of the kings of six kingdoms. He unexpectedly died in battle after being brainwashed by Hilbill. Hilbil Leech: One of the Uchu Five Jesters known as "Hilbill of Enticement." She brainwashed the king's retainers and citizens, turning the human race on Chikyu into mobs. Finally, she brainwashed (it's implied) herself to become a giant in order to corner the King-Ohgers, but was ultimately defeated. Minongan Moth: One of the Uchu Five Jesters known as "Minongan of Concealment." Just as he looks, he's a "power fighter," with high offensive and defensive power. Angered by the defeat of Hilbil, he challenged the Royal Sentai to a battle in order to give him what he craved, but was defeated by the combined power of Kaguragi and Rita's "King's Proof." Grodie Leucodium: One of the Uchu Five Jesters known as "Grodie of Tranquility" He's the one responsible for causing the "Wrath of God." In order to defeat this "living corpse," the Royal Sentai implemented a strategy to bring him back to life. Grodie tried to bring upon the "Wrath of God" again, but was dealt the final blow.

Main Screenwriter Takano Minato Interview
"By the time this article is published, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger's broadcast will have already finished airing. At this point (at the time of this interview), the writing process of the script may still be fresh in your mind, but how do you feel after writing a year long drama series?"
Takano: I'm clumsy by nature, so all I've been thinking about for the past year was "King-Ohger." I was just concentrating on the production. It's not an exaggeration to say that I was risking my life. That's why I feel so much attachment to it. In reality, I had to immediately start working on "King-Ohger VS Donbrothers" right after I finished the script for the final episode, so I didn't feel a sense of freedom (laughs), but I did feel a sense of accomplishment that I had made it to the end.
"So far, you've participated in the Kamen Rider series as one offs, but King-Ohger was the first time you participated in the Super Sentai series. Furthermore, it was the position of Main Writer……"
Takano: Toei's Producer Omori Takahito, who I worked with on "Kamen Rider Ex-Aid" and "Kamen Rider Zero-One," called me through his office, where I remember immediately saying, "I'll do it!" (laughs). For me, the most significant thing I had done before King-Ohger was the hour long drama "Shinhannin Flag," which ran for two quarters (half a year). That production was an original project for TV, it wasn't an adaptation, and one hour a month for half a year is about the same as 30 minutes a month over one year, right? I think I was lucky in terms of timing, as I was able to build such a track record.
"There were many challenging factors to the production of King-Ohger."
Takano: The first thing Omori-san told me was the concept of the project, "Everyone is part of the Royal Sentai. Furthermore, all of them are the strongest." Then, a switch was flipped and I thought, "Interesting!" We decided to have a brainstorming session, and on that day, I had created and submitted a complete set of ideas for the worldview of King-Ohger, the image for each country, character settings, and the overall series structure. At that point, I had already included the story surrounding the Uchu King and Racules. Looking back, it was like I had put everything I liked and had accumulated since childhood into it. For the main characters, with the exception of Gira, everything I wrote at the time went almost unchanged.
"What do you mean when you say accumulated?"
Takano: In the household I grew up in, TV and video games were prohibited when I was young, but because of my parents work, I was surrounded by children's literature, picture books, and the shonen manga that my father loved. I grew up devouring a variety of stories, so I was lucky to come across a project that allowed me to make use of that. I think that's why I was able to make it through the past year even though it was my first challenge in the Super Sentai series.
"You've created a magnificent worldview, but how did you feel when you first saw the completed footage?"
Takano: I was surprised. This was the first time for Toei to introduce virtual production in full, so I started writing the script early on, but then Omori-san told me, "You've written so much, but it may be impossible (to visualize it as imagined)." Here too I was like, "Well, you may be right……" And to be honest, I was also worried about how it would turn out. Over time, I wondered if he would eventually say something like, "We can't do this anymore, so let's stop." But, then I saw the footage, and those worries were blown away. Rather, I thought this would allow me to further expand my image. The CG assets (background materials) from each country were also excellent, which further increased my motivation.
"We were told by Director Kamihoriuchi Kazuya, who was the Main Director of the show, that the more Takano-san pushes himself, the better the script gets."
Takano: (laughs). He'd say things like……"Takamina, you only start scratching your head when you're getting serious." When I'm worried, I seem to scratch unconsciously. I think the first time I became numb to that person (Director Kamihoriuchi) was when we were finalizing the script for episodes 1 and 2, and there was a moment when the meeting stalled. At such times, because of my position, the Screenwriter often plays the role of communicator or someone who summarizes everyone's opinions, but when I tried to do so, he firmly said, "No, let's just think about making it interesting right now." That attitude had remained constant throughout. He's very particular about "creating interesting productions." When it comes to scripts, I stick to every last line until the very last minute before the submission deadline. Instead of motivating me, he just lets me write it until the end. It wasn't an easy task, but I could feel that it had become more interesting as I was revising it, and the Director was able to add the finishing touches to make it even better. I think that his uncompromising attitude had a great impact on the production. Just once, I'd like to see the Director make a movie with a budget of atleast 10 billion. I think he could make something amazing.
"Takano-san also visited the filming set as much as possible."
Takano: I myself used to have a theater company, and I just love the current state of creative production. I would look at the set with a feeling of respect, but it was also beyond my imagination. No one ever really talks about it, but everyone's passionate about it, they're all passionate about making something as "interesting as possible." Everything was so ingenious down to the finest detail, that it makes you think, "They'd really go this far?" So, no matter which episode you watch, it's already multiple times more interesting than the draft of the script. It was truly a rewarding job as a Screenwriter. It's not exactly Jeramie, but I included some "between the lines" in the script to think about. There was never a time when I thought, "This is wrong!" when looking at the footage created by those on set. It was more like, "Eh? You picked up on this here too?" I thought they were an amazing team, and I was again reminded of the beauty of "working together to create a work of art." I'll never forget the many warm words of encouragement I received from the staff on site.
"What do you think of the cast? Despite the large number of characters that appeared, we think that all of them became very lovable."
Takano: They were wonderful. What can be said in general is that everyone loved and nurtured their roles above all else. This is true not only for the main six, but also for Racules's Yano-san, and for everyone else who played a part as the retainers……It's all thanks to the cast that the roles expanded beyond what I originally had in mind. I used to do theater, so by getting to know them, I wanted to write scripts that brought out the best in the people performing them. So, when I went to the set, I actively talked to the cast. To give an example, when I asked Watanabe Aoto-kun, who plays Yanma, "Do you have any stories you want to do?," he said, "I've got alot" and he offered lots of ideas. Among them was a story about Yanma giving up everything for Shiokara, and I thought, "That might be good!" I expanded on it and wrote episode 35, "Don't Cry Slack Jawed Tanuki." Another thing was Rita's Hirakawa Yuzuki-chan, who said she wanted to "show her face," so I thought I'd write something with that.
"The enemy was changed from the Earth Empire Bugnarak in the first half, to the Uchu Five Jesters in the second half."
Takano: I also love villains, and even when I watch "Batman," I get emotionally invested with the Joker, so I was very particular about the evil setting. As for the Uchu King Dagded, I wanted him to be absolutely evil, so I decided not to explore any positive aspects of him. The Bugnarak arc was calculated backward from the Uchu Five Jesters arc, but I didn't want it to be a predictable development, so I put alot of thought into the order in which the monsters (Kaijim) would appear. It makes sense that Iragajim (episode 22) and Zarigajim (episode 24) appear at the end of the Bugnarak arc. Since Iragajim can steal Shugod Souls from the Shugods, which Bugnarak need to become gigantic, it was necessary to have him. And since Zarigajim was sent for the plan to destroy Chikyu, his appearance was timed that way. After that, there's the Uchu Five Jesters arc, and once again, all my favorite voice actors were cast (laughs), so I didn't want them to say anything meaningless, even if it was just one line of dialogue…..I was really happy because my favorite elements were included here as well (laughs).
"Please tell us how the final episode was created."
Takano: One climax was the story of Racules (episodes 42 and 43). There has always been some debate about how to conclude Racules, and one possible direction was to have him die, but if he died, he would become a hero. I felt that Racules, as a criminal, needed to pay for his past crimes, which is why it took the form you've all seen. In the following episodes, I again thought, "I'm not sure what I should write," but I decided to work on what I hadn't written yet by that point, and carefully complete them one by one. And so, episode 45 was about Kaguragi and Rita. I originally conceived Kaguragi and Rita as paired characters, but I wanted to rework that part of the story and include the issue of successors, which is inevitable in a story about kings. Then, episode 46 was about Hymeno and Jeramie. While also telling the story of their parents, I dealt with the issue of "life," as it's something those two have in common. Then, episode 47 is the reckoning of the "Wrath of God." The remaining three scripts were episode 48 to the final episode, which of course will be the story of defeating Dagded, but when it came time to decide what to do after that, Director Kamihoriuchi said, "Let's bring out everyone."
"Especially around episodes 49 and 50 (the final episode), the "Characters" section of the script was amazing."
Takano: The last three scripts were written as a way of "giving back" to various people. Even if it was just one word, I tried to write dialogue that would make all the cast members think, "I'm really glad to have been apart of this production." I felt the same way about the viewers, and I wanted to make them feel happy and enjoy watching King-Ohger all the way through to the end. It felt like I was writing a letter of gratitude to all of them.
"Being in charge of a one year drama series for the first time, especially a Sunday morning children's program, was there anything that you were careful about or anything you noticed?"
Takano: Since I don't have a family yet, I did some research with family members I know, but it seems that in reality, it's not easy to have the whole family sitting calmly in front of the TV the whole time during Sunday mornings. However, on the other hand, Toei's Super Sentai series and Kamen Rider series are among the few programs today that are mainly for children, but are also watched by their parents, so the idea was to create something that would be "interesting" to all audiences. So, of course I worked really hard on the aspect of it being a serial drama, but I also tried to include elements that could be enjoyed even if you watch only that episode during the weekly broadcasts. It was difficult to find a balance between it being worth watching as a serial drama and being interesting as a stand alone drama. The range of what I want to show is infinite, but that doesn't mean I should settle for the greatest common denominator, and I wanted to deliver something that was by no means mediocre. That's something I've always been aware of.
"Especially in the second half, we feel that this goal became more apparent. Dagded and the Five Jesters are so unique……(laughs). Normally, when a strong enemy appears, the story tends to go in a more serious and dark direction, but because the main enemy is a guy like that, the visuals of the strategies that are carried out can become funny. We're sure it would be easier to adjust the overall "taste" though."
Takano: I thought it was important to make a topic of conversation in that way, such as "the episode where the characters swap bodies" or, "the episode when the kings become children." No matter how exciting the main story may be, it's difficult to attract new viewers if it becomes contained, right? In recent years, I often see headlines like, "XX and XX have finally teamed up, and XX has been activated!" in online news articles, but for those who haven't seen it yet, It's just a bunch of words they don't understand (laughs). Instead, for example, using words like "trial by combat" or chosing a generic expression such as "sibling confrontation"……I was also particular about that. Then, as I mentioned earlier, there's the awareness of the target audience, which is family. Depending on their age, some children will enjoy different parts from their parents, so I was hoping that they would atleast find a character that they liked or that they could empathize with. If such a character exists, it's a reason to continue watching the show. I thought about this too, but I don't think it would have worked without the efforts of each of the cast members. For example, Douga-san was in a position where it was difficult to make him seem human, but I was inspired by Morioka Yutaka-san's performance, and later ended up writing the story about him looking for a job (laughs). Really, if I talk about each of these things one by one there is no end to it, and I feel that King-Ohger was a production that everyone worked on with a positive and pure passion.
"And finally, the story that'll be performed at the Final Live Tour is also written by Takano-san. We heard that the actual writing is still in the works….."
Takano: Since it's a stage play, It feels abit like I've returned home (laughs). However, since then, I've had the opportunity to write many scripts for movies and TV dramas and gained alot of experience, so I'd like to write what I can write because of who I am now, and what I write is because I'm in the world of King-Ohger. One thing I intentionally avoided in the TV series is that because they're kings, I basically didn't let them make choices like doing something in exchange for their lives. However, now that the kings have bonded with each other, I wonder if such a story is possible. Also, since it's a special stage performance, I'm thinking of ways to involve the audience as well. I hope that visitors who come to the venue will also become residents of "Chikyu" and participate in the story……Some completely different ideas are being thrown around, so I don't know what will happen yet (laughs), but I'll do my best to make sure you enjoy the stage version of King-Ohger as well!

Staff Comments on episodes Main Writer Takano, Producer Kuji Producer Omori, Assistant Producer Takahashi Main Director Kamihoriuchi
Episode 1 Racules's favorite Takano-san's comment: Gira's a character who uses villainous language. I was really worried at whether he'd be liked or not. And then, what Director Kamihoriuchi and Sakai-kun created was that 30 seconds of silence. I was sure that it would be an impactful moment. I could feel the care and passion of all the people involved from every corner of the picture, and I was shaking with happiness knowing that I was going to work with such wonderful people on this production for a year.
Episode 2 Yanma's favorite
Episode 3 Takano-san's comment: A beautiful and glittering princess, and a strong and noble queen. Cute and cool coexisting. There was no need to give up on either. She won't flatter anyone. Still, she wants to protect and be protected, love and be loved. She'll make it all happen. Living selfishly. The character of Hymeno-sama was also the "prayer" for the girls who watched the show.
Episode 5 Rita's favorite Takano-san's comment: It was an unexpected challenge to put judgment in a children's program, but I remember how relieved I felt when we received the positive response. It was also a pleasant miscalculation to find that Rita-sama stuck with adults who have gone through the hardships of society.
Episode 10 Takano-san's comment: I really wrote this with the intention of it being the final episode. I wrote the opening remarks for Legend King-Ohgers descent first, and then wrote everything backwards from there. Thankfully, the response I received was good, but at the same time, I was cursed to go all out on writing opening remarks each time.
Episode 12 Takano-san's comment: It was reeeeeeally tough! Jeramie was difficult! We were all trying to figure out what to and what not to do, but Director Kamihoriuchi turned it all around in the end, and we ended up with the best Jeramie and story! We had to revise the entire script, which I had written up to about 20 episodes at that point, but it was alright!
Kuji-san's comment: The composition, dialogue, action and music…it's a good feeling to feel the bold yet subtle professionalism in every scene. Even reading between the lines was enjoyable, and I become excited no matter how many times I watch it.
Episode 14 Jeramie's favorite
Episode 19 Takano-san's comment: When the relentless and coldhearted Producer Omori said to me, "I want the words Ohsama Sentai to have significance," a "Huh?" flew out of my lips. It took me a whole day to get to the point where I could read "kotozama" (strange) as "kotosama." As a result, I'm really glad I went through all that trouble.
Episode 26 Takano-san's comment: I've loved villains since I was a kid. The true value of a villain is at the end of their life. I loved Desnarak-sama so much that I cried while writing it. It made me really happy when Producer Omori, who shows almost no emotion said, "I cried when I read your script."
Episode 27 Takano-san's comment: Even though it had been decided from the beginning that Dagded would appear, to the viewers, it was the sudden appearance of an unknown character. Furthermore, I had been begging with "Ishida Akira-san will work best," so when it really happened, I wrote the story as if I was put my life on the line. Thanks to the overwhelming visuals and great work done by Director Kamihoriuchi and the CG team, this was an appropriate opening for the new chapter.
Episode 29 Omori-san's comment: With the start of the second chapter, I think the arrangement of this episode, after the completely serious episode 27, and episode 28, which ignored everything and was comical, was actually key for the second half of the series. The unique coolness of Jeramie and his bond with the other kings was shown through a perfect balance of script and direction.
Episode 30 Hymeno's favorite
Episode 32-33 Omori-san's comment: I won't hide it, Ryusei-san was the first one to be given the OK for his appearance. These episodes were made possible because he was already scheduled to appear in the V-Cinext, so I think that's why everyone else also appeared.
Episode 33 Kuji-san's comment: The power of the Great and Mighty Lizards (Kyoryugers), whose bravery has increased over the past 10 years was amazing, but I realized that the charm of the kings is brought out even more when there are strong characters next to them. In any case, it was an extravagant episode.
Episode 35 Takano-san's comment: Aoto-kun said to me, "I want to do a story where I have to give up everything to protect just one person, Shiokara!" This episode was made possible thanks to Chiwata-kun's efforts to develop his character of Shiokara on set and his increasing popularity. I thought this was the best part of working together to create a long story. The last scene made me cry so much that it took me a while to write it.
Episode 37 Kaguragi's favorite Takano-san's comment: It's under the pretense of…a surprise performance by a married couple, but it was a profound human drama, and a dialogue heavy one. Honestly speaking, I thought it is insane to attempt through acting. It wouldn't have been possible if Kaku-san wasn't Kaguragi. I think this is one of those episodes that pushed the limits of morning tokusatsu programs for children.
Episode 38 Takano-san's comment: "I want to do something silly" is what I used to say when writing King-Ohger. It was also a phrase to keep my sanity in check, because if I was too serious, I'd lose sight of its essence as a children's show. This was the culmination of that. The argument of, "Why idols?" was one of the most serious topics that Producer Omori and Director Kamihoriuchi had ever had. Being silly must be taken seriously.
Episode 39 Takahashi-san's comment: The high level action was something that only King-Ohger can create. I think the action scene against Goma was an unprecedented challenge for a Japanese live action drama. I rewatched the 1 minute and 10 seconds of action countless times.
Episode 40 Omori-san's comment: This is the episode where we find out that Gira was born from the Uchu King. You may not have noticed it much, but even when depicting heavier themes, I made it a rule to "always end with a victory or them standing." Even if there's a wall, kings are the ones who always stand up.
Episode 41 Takahashi-san's comment: This is the episode where Racules shows his "real face" for the first time. The line from Racules became the subtitle of the episode. It's not an exaggeration to say that 40 episodes had been accumulated for this single line, so it was the ultimate "catharsis" for me when I heard it. Yano-san's performance was also wonderful.
Episode 42 Takano-san's comment: Although the truth about Racules had been decided before I wrote the first episode, the most important thing I kept thinking about was how to reveal it. I was on a walk while I was thinking about episode 8, when it came to me and I cried. I was absolutely determined that I would not die until I wrote this episode.
Episode 49 Gira's favorite Kamihoriuchi's comment: This is the "culmination" episode of King-Ohger, where the staff and cast were giving it their all.
Episode 50 Takano-san's comment: Episodes 48-50, those three episodes were written as a long final episode. It's a conclusion that couldn't have been written without a buildup, so I wrote this as a gift of gratitude to the cast, staff and viewers. I worked on the manuscript with Producer Omori and Director Kamihoriuchi until morning, and the selfie I took with the big smile on my face while shouting, "I did it!" is my treasure.

longwinded guide for not spending too much on shipping for things purchased from korea
I couldn’t find the post on reddit so here’s a longwinded explanation lol: @felixs-voice-makes-me-wanna
Korean addresses (usually called K addy’s) are sites that let you ship to them and consolidate your package bc shipping is usually very cheap or free within korea and then they optimize your package and make it as affordable to ship as possible in my experience. This is great if you buy from multiple sites or buy things like albums and merch in particular.  Essentially you buy items from sites and have them shipped to the address. They take those packages and when you submit a repack request, they consolidate them into one, more affordable package. Most of these sites will also buy these items for you if you wish and act as a proxy of sorts. They are free to use (you can get a Korean address and ship things to them for free but if you want to ship to you that’s when you would pay or use them to make purchases there are fees)
Some examples:
Orderkorea.kr – 1 year of free storage as well, they offer inclusions only (if you buy an album they will take the pcs out and send them to you to lower the weight of the package). Lowest shipping rates I’ve seen to US so far. How I got my Skzoo set back when they did the restock with the jeju merch and jypshop was gonna charge me almost 200 in shipping (I swear they pocket that money) and orderkorea charged me 60 and it got to me in less than a week.
Korgou – not used by me yet but has good reviews and tutorials made by users on youtube
Paysable – I have used, gives you a year of free storage (you can hold things there without fees up to a year if you want to wait to ship for any reason), not my favorite, they seem slowest to me
Kfriday – never used this one either but I’ve heard great things
Delivered korea – the most commonly used/general favorite from what I’ve seen. I like that they always let me choose which international shipping service I can use (I use DHL bc I can presign for delivery with them but it is always the most expensive)
Another alternative is GOMS or group order managers on Instagram. This experience varies by GOM but I’ve never actually had a bad experience. Just make sure if you use someone it isn’t a new account and they have proofs on their story (posts from other people like reviews stating they got their goods), but the bonus of a gom is that you can find one from your country and split shipping frees on that group order with everyone involved! So for the aniteez plush if the gom purchased one set of plushies and you claimed Seonghwa, your shipping fees would be drastically reduced because it would  be split between you and 7 other people. Downsides are if you collect popular members it can be hard to get spots on group orders (like Wonyoung, Wonbin, Seonghwa, etc). In most circumstances I recommend a GOM over ordering yourself or using a proxy (detailed below) bc you end up paying less if you are collecting for one member. If you collect full group or buy a lot of things a k addy and or proxy is good.
Proxys are people who actually go to events like pop ups and buy for you. They have fees but if you want to be mostly guaranteed something, they are a good alterative, but make sure they have good reviews from people who have used their services as well.
Group order managers = no profit, they are just trying to get a members cards without paying for a full set,  so open the other members’ cards up to other people to lower their costs
Proxys = usually a full or part time job. They do make money off of it from fees.
A lot of pcs and merch can be found from Japanese sellers at much lower prices than us sellers and have similar websites to purchase off yahoo Japan, mercari Japan etc, I’ve used buyee and neokyo for this before but if the item details says “Korean shop purchase”, it’s a fake/replica, be wary of fakes in general
My Last resort is always mercari us or ebay bc it is usually highest priced but sometimes you will find reasonable prices on there, never for things like the aniteez plush though my guess is there will be resellers on those sites listing as over 100 dollars as soon as they ship out :’ )

box 1: bigbadtoystore pile of loot
actually the one i spent the least amount of money on since all i had to pay for was tax and shipping everything else was already paid for and the last thing i added was thru store credit. been waiting to ship since december
Tumblr media
first off: even more diorama setpieces. im worried this company has disbanded because there hasnt been any updates since last year and a lot of their product has sold out on most sites, including everything here. the top box i only got because i happened to catch one that went up after someone presumably cancelled their order, i had to cancel my siege sky lynx reissue to pay for it bc i didnt have another $80 lying around but this was far more important since im not sure ill ever be able to get it again. its already kinda hard to find info on these smaller chinese companies so i guess ill have to wait and see but i hope their line is continuing because i fucking love these sets. anyways
Tumblr media
kämpfer to build later, my favorite mobile suit, knowing me this will either get built like tonight or in like 6 months
Tumblr media
siege optimus, this has randomly restocked on several sites so its either uncovered old stock or a new production run. either way recently ive been trying to collect a more cohesive g1 autobot collection since i realised compared to my decepticons their situation is kinda (really) dire. earthrise optimus has risen up by a bit on the aftermarket but i think that version looks way worse and vastly preferred this version anyways so idc, if i later decide i *really* need a trailer ill look elsewhere
Tumblr media
got the siege jetfire reissue, as prev mentioned i was gonna get the sky lynx reissue too but had to cancel him. will get that later, he seems a lot more abundant than jetfire is
i really love him. only thing i dont like is the hand gimmick where a 3mm port flips out whenever the fingers are closed because theyre loose and cause his guns to just kinda flop around but its whatever. and also the jet mode is gappy and ugly but its hard to make a good toy out of a design that fundamentally was clearly drawn by someone that did not give a shit lol so idc its fine still
Tumblr media
g2 ramjet, one of my favorite 90s neon nightmare recolors, clearly the basis for slipstream. got on sale for like $25 back before bbts made the horrible decision to not allow sale items to be added to stack
Tumblr media
addon kit for legacy scourge, i still have massive problems with that toy but this will help. a bit. i thought they sent me the wrong kit at first bc the box still showed laser prime and was panicking since this set is sold out now lol but i opened it and sure enough its correct, guess they saw no sense in redoing the box since its just a variant
Tumblr media
more neca alien/predator, i do love the avp arcade game aesthetic, sucks that anime dutch is the only dutch you can get now that wont cost you a kidney but what can you do
Tumblr media
and finally my most important acquisition

Shop Update
Feels good to get things straightened out to the point that I can actually prep for the summer market season! I've got three events coming up almost back-to-back starting in two weeks and the shop orders are ramping up. I've been putting off restocking certain things for a while now, since all my witchy earnings have been going toward things like vet bills and car repairs.
This past week, I was finally able to put in restock orders for books and buttons, and to order the next round of vinyl stickers I've been meaning to get for months. The new button and sticker designs will be up in the shop in the coming weeks.
The next bit on the agenda is restocking the components for the witch kits, including some new iterations I've been wanting to make. These are mostly related to additional colors, specialty floss for weaving, and more herb options.
I'm still working on the logistics, but I'm hoping to eventually offer upgrades for the starter kits in the form of additional pieces or purpose-focused component packs.
I'm also planning to add a special option to the shop inspired by a recent order - the "One of Everything" package, which will include one of every item in the shop for a fixed price, shipping included, plus a special thank-you gift that will only come with that item. It won't be cheap, but it will be worth it.
These are plans for later in the year though. For the upcoming weeks, I mostly just want to make sure I have enough items in stock to make good sales, since we're still trying to get our air conditioning fixed, and try to get the next few podcast episodes finished.
One day at a time. 😊

Small Moments and Small Gestures that Make a Home
Strongest Suit
So first new work in a little while, and not what I was really expecting to work on next, but here it is! This is going to be a little mini (?) series based off of trivia from the SBS answers
AO3 Link
Word Count: Almost 1K
Clothing is one of many ways for a person to express themself, from the styles, the patterns, and down to the color choices.
It's always nice too, when some gets you something to wear because they see it and think of you.
Nami took a great amount of pride in her ability to find a deal no matter what she was shopping for. She would admit, though, that her two biggest money drains were also her biggest frustrations. The biggest was, of course, the food budget, feeding ten normal people on a ship, and keeping enough food for extended trips would be enough of a task. Feeding her own crew, with Luffy’s appetite alone, was an endeavor that would stump many. She’d managed somehow while still managing to keep a significant amount for the other needs of her crew, and herself, of course.
The next was, surprisingly, the clothing budget. They all got into so many fights, fights that were only getting stronger and more dangerous as they went on. And the fighters that get closer and more physical almost always have some kind of clothing damage. It could range from anywhere from minor tears, burns, and stains that wouldn’t disappear to the garments becoming nothing more than scraps that were barely hanging on their frames.
None of them tried to avoid it. Luffy didn’t care, nor did Zoro, really, and it’s not a priority really when one is fighting for their lives. Still, it miffed Nami just a bit that she had to replace more shirts and sandals than she really should have to.
Most of it gets curbed though by the fact that some of the damage can be mended by a simple needle and thread or a patch or two.
It’s the ones that can’t be repaired though that leads part of her shopping trip today. They’d docked on a small island, big enough to get enough food that Sanji has a list for and his allowed budget and to restock on other necessary supplies.
Such as new clothing, needles, thread, and fabric rolls or yards.
Nami’s handling this trip herself. Usopp and Franky are looking for new tools or scrap to build with, Robin and Chopper are getting medicine and books, and she’s unsure of where Luffy and Zoro are while Brook and Jinbe are on the Sunny.
Nami wouldn’t trust most of her crewmates to buy the clothes if she’s being honest, some like Robin and maybe Usopp or Sanji if it was small things she could allow. The others? They all had… difficulties when finding things like this.
Besides, she has the best ability to find deals! And she has all of her Nakama’s sizes memorized at this point, so she’ll have no problems doing this fun solo.
She manages to get a decent haul after only an hour or two of shopping. Nothing too fancy and more on the durable side than anything. She’s allowing herself to try on a few of the nicer things, as a treat for all her efforts, but not planning on buying anything. She’s turning to look and see how the dress she’s trying looks in the back when a blue tie catches her eye.
It’s a pleasant shade of a deep blue, like the ocean can be some days, and a simple pattern. It would look good with plenty of Sanji’s button ups and suits too.
Nami stops, staring at the tie, thinking the price over and what she’s willing to spend when a pink scarf nearby stands out amongst the others it’s sitting with. It would probably look good on Chopper and he would appreciate it. Then she notices a black pocket square with white pinstripes in the same section. Brook could likely use something like that.
She can’t help but to start looking more closely now, picking up the items she’s already seen and adding it to her purchases. She’s finding other things now, a truly gaudy light blue patterned shirt large enough to fit a cyborg, a green undershirt perfect for working out in cooler weather, a set of bangles colored purple that shouldn’t be obtrusive, a yellow set of suspenders that would look striking, an ochre shirt with a more subdued pattern for a fishman, and a red hoodie with a zipper that should be roomy enough for a rubberman to stretch in..
All things in her friend’s favorite colors and styles, things that will make them smile and brighten their days hopefully.
She manages to also find herself an anklet with an orange gem studded into it, and she manages to haggle and charm her way into deals enough to not make her balk at the price.
She quickly gathers her bags and takes her prizes back to Sunny. Most of her Nakama are still out at the time so she can easily distribute her haul the way it’s intended into everyone’s personal stores.
It’s not long before Nami’s finds start showing up on the ship. Jinbe wears his new Hawaiian shirt on one of his more casual days. Brook’s pocket square is front and center in his shirt the same day Sanji’s wearing his new tie and being more attentive as a thanks. Zoro comes down from the crows nest after a workout and is tackled by the youngest of their lot once they catch sight of green. Usopp tugs on his suspenders as he gets ready to tell a new tale for his audience of Luffy and Chopper, a scarf tied around his antler and sticking out like a flag from where he’s tucked into Luffy’s half zipped hoodie.
Nami smiles, proud and coy to herself when out of the corner of her eye she spots cyan as Franky places out a table for her and Robin, and she hears bangles clinking together as Robin turns a page of her book. She stretches out, ready to lounge in the sun, new anklet glinting in the light.
Nami may not like spending a lot of money, even less so if it’s not entirely necessary, but she does enjoy treating her friends occasionally. More so when she can actively see them enjoying it.

Yummy Fruit (. one piece .)
SUMMARY: The Straw Hats finally docked on an island to restock on items, much to Hana’s delight. On this island, as Hana and her brother are exploring, they come across an interesting-looking fruit that Hana boldly decides to eat…
NOTE: This is a Hana Nakano centric oneshot! The devil fruit she ate is called the Rai-Rai devil fruit, meaning she can control and generate lightning and electricity (a lot like Laxus Dreyar from Fairy Tail ). She can also channel her devil fruit powers into her weaponry. Also, sorry for any potential spelling errors that I missed. I also can’t remember if I’ve posted anything in relation to Ash and the Monster Trio’s kids, but here’s the birth order; Hana, Ace, Yuna, Kaen, and then the twins Himeji and Aiji. Zoro fathers Hana, Yuna, and Kaen, Luffy fathers Ace, and Sanji fathers the twins Himeji and Aiji. I’ll make a separate post about their kids with information about them.
WARNINGS: no warnings for this oneshot! At least, I don’t think so. Just Hana and Ace being Hana and Ace lol 😆
{~~~}
“FINALLY!” HANA SAID, RUNNING OFF OF THE DECK OF THE SHIP.
The green-haired girl was itching for some kind of an adventure. She wanted — no, needed — something to happen. Hana begged for a catalyst to free her from her world of eternal boredom. Hana grabbed her mini-katanas and hooked them to her belt. One katana had a black guard and pommel with an electric blue blade and handle. Her other katana has a white handle, a black pommel, and a purple and black linear gradient blade, and her guard was black. Hana was chomping at the bit to get off of the Thousand Sunny.
Hana looked over to her younger brother Ace, who was nagging about how he also desperately wanted to exude some of his energy to their Aunt Alex by pulling on her sleeve. It looks like Ace also wants off just as much as I do. She thought to herself, observing her younger brother’s behavior.
Luckily for the kids, Hana and Ace finally got what they wanted. Ace stretched his arms above his head, letting out a relaxed sigh afterward. “Come on, Ace! Let’s go explore!” The green-haired girl exclaimed excitedly, running ahead with Ace following behind his older sister.
“Hold it, you two!”
Hana and Ace froze in their tracks. They both groaned in unison. “Aunt Alex!” Both children exclaimed together.
“You two need to wait for us, alright?” The redhead explained firmly, “You need to stay with us. We don’t want you guys getting lost, or for any bad people that could possibly get their hands on you to snatch you two up.”
“But, Auntie Alex! Why would anyone want to snatch us up?” Six-year-old Hana inquired bluntly. “Especially Ace. No one would want to kidnap him.”
Ace shot his older sister a sharp glare, narrowing his dark eyes. “Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?!” The raven-haired boy questioned, the volume of his voice rising.
“It means that you’re so annoying that the kidnappers would want to return you,” Hana elaborated in a matter-of-fact tone of voice with no hesitation.
Four-year-old Ace then grunted in frustration, proceeding to ball up his fist and punch Hana’s right shoulder. Hana’s eyes widened, only for her brows to furrow in anger and her eyes to slant in vexation. She retaliated by also balling up her fist and hitting Ace right on the top of his head really hard. This then caused a small altercation between the two children, both of them shouting various mean things while hitting and kicking each other. “You meanie head! I’m not annoying!” Ace protested loudly.
“To me, you’re annoying, you big jerk!” The six-year-old argued back, landing a kick on her brother’s left ankle.
“Ow! Hana!! Stop kicking me!”
Alexandria was going to be the one to reprimand her niece and nephew, but someone else beat her to it. “Oi! You two brats better stop your fighting! It’s getting annoying!” Zoro called out sternly from the main area of the Thousand Sunny, leaning on the railing.
“See? You are annoying, Ace!” Hana commented with a smirk.
“Hana, don’t be a turd!” Zoro instantly called back.
Hana scoffed, obviously offended by what her father said. “Papa Zoro, now you’re being mean! You called me a piece of poop!” The green-haired little girl pointed out.
Zoro just rolled his eye, letting out an annoyed sounding “Tch”. “Just do what your Aunt Alex is telling you to do!” He stated, making himself abundantly clear. The swordsman then left the conversation with his daughter at that, returning to go back to helping out Franky with ship-related matters to make sure everything was okay before the crew went to explore the island they had just docked at.
Hana defiantly looked away from where her father was, only to see Ace laughing his ass off at their father getting on to his older sister. A familiar wide and bright grin was plastered on his face, letting out a small “shishishishi!” Ace was definitely a carbon copy of Luffy. No doubt about it.
“HAHA! Hana, you just got in trouble~!” Ace exclaimed in a singsong tone of voice, making fun of his sister.
“He was getting onto you, too, dimwit!” Hana told her brother cuttingly.
“Oh…” Ace replied doltishly, his grin fading away in an instant.
Alex sighed deeply. Even though she and the crew absolutely adored these two children, they were a handful. With a smile, she snapped her fingers to get the two children’s attention. The green-haired girl and the raven-haired boy quickly turned their aunt’s way. “You both heard your father. You need to get along, alright?” The scarlet-haired aunt told her niece and nephew, her tone of voice softer than before. “Now, you two stay here and wait while I help the others get situated.” With that, nothing else was said. Both Alex and Zoro were firm in their instructions for the kids.
Hana rolled her dark eyes. Jeez, they’re always up my ass! It’s not like anything bad is going to happen. That was what Hana wanted to say, but she kept her mouth shut. The little swordsman knew she would get in big trouble if she sassed back to her Auntie Alex. Also, she would definitely get in trouble for cussing in front of her. Hana grumbled, crossing her arms across her chest. Hana watched as her red-haired aunt walked up the ramp that led from the Sunny down to the dock. That’s when an idea popped into the young child’s head.
Taking a step towards Ace, Hana kept her gaze on the adults, observing what they were doing. She saw her Papa Sanji bring out some refreshments for the crew, handing an orange drink to her Aunt Nami. “Hey, Ace?” Hana asked in a whisper, watching as Chopper and Brook were conversing about something.
“Yeah, sis?” The little boy questioned, raising his brow in curiosity. His tone was also in a whisper, mimicking his sister.
“You wanna go and explore the island now that no one is looking?”
“Yeah!” Ace replied with no hesitation.
Hana and Ace nodded at each other. For how much the two of them bickered, they sure had moments where they acted like they were best friends. Both children took slow steps backward, keeping their gaze focused on the adults on the Thousand Sunny. The children’s footsteps got faster with every step that they took, and once they knew that their coast was clear, both Hana and Ace booked it for the island town. They both ran so fast that they practically left dust trails behind them.
Right as Hana and Ace were out of sight, Ashley had come out of their bedroom that they shared with Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. They let out a huge yawn, clearly overwhelmed with tiredness. They held their two-year-old daughter, Yuna, in their arms as they walked out onto the main area of the ship. “Oh? Are we here already?” Ashley muttered, rubbing the exhaustion from their eyes. These days, the brunette has been even more exhausted than usual. It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence for Ash to sleep a lot more and that was because not only did they have a toddler, but Ash was also six months pregnant with their second son. Because of those factors, napping had become Ash’s favorite pastime, so they did that activity often.
Luffy, as well as the other members of the Straw Hats, spotted the brown-haired crew mate and their brunette daughter. With a huge happy grin on his face, Luffy made his way over to his wife and daughter, engulfing both of them in a loving hug. “Did you sleep well, treasure?” Luffy asked gently, a rare tone to his typically louder voice.
Ash hugged him back. “I got as much sleep as I can get.” They replied with a light chuckle. As they broke the hug, Ash felt their toddler pull at their long wavy brown hair. “Yuna, no. Stop pulling on mommy’s hair, sweetie.” Ash told their daughter, who was pointing at Luffy. The connection clicked for Ash. “Do you want your Papa Luffy?” With a nod from Yuna, Ash handed over the two-year-old to Luffy, who gladly took Yuna.
Luffy held his little girl in his arms. God, did this man absolutely adore all of his children. He took off his straw hat and put it on Yuna’s small head to block the hot August sun from getting in her face or giving the toddler a sunburn. “Alright, Yuna, let’s go see what Chopper and your Grandpa Brook are doing!” The raven-haired captain told his brunette daughter, who smiled in return.
As Luffy and Yuna went over to visit their other family members, Sanji and Zoro came over Ash's way. Zoro leaned up against the wall, while Sanji handed his girlfriend a rejuvenating honey lemon drink. Ash happily took the drink. “Thank you, Sanji.” She thanked him, taking a sip of the drink. “Oh! Honey lemon chia fresca! Hell yeah!”
Sanji smiled. There was an adoring expression in his eyes as he saw Ash grin and cheerily hum a tune to themself. “I’m glad you’re enjoying it, angel.” The blonde cook told his significant other as he set the drink and food tray aside.
“Did you sleep well?” Zoro asked Ashley.
Ashley shrugged her shoulders. She took one more sip before responding. “As much as I could get. Yuna wasn’t a problem, but this little guy here in my tummy decided that once mommy was going to lay down for a bit, he was gonna start kicking.” The brunette pirate commented with a bit of a harmless edge to her voice. She then took another sip of her drink.
“Well, at least you and Yuna got some sleep,” Sanji noted as he shoved his hands in his pockets.
Ash nodded, taking her mouth away from the straw. “How’s Hana and Ace doing?” She inquired about her eldest daughter and her son.
“Oh, they’re fine. Alex told those two brats to wait on the dock while we finished things up here.” Zoro informed his lover, crossing his arms over his chest.
At that statement about their kids, Sanji glanced over at the dock for a brief moment. Suddenly, his heart stopped beating in his chest. His eyes widened as wide as they could possibly get, and he fell silent as Ash and Zoro chatted about a topic of conversation that fell deaf on the blonde’s ears. As Ash was saying something to the swordsman, Sanji placed his hand on her shoulder. “Love…” Sanji trailed off, his words caught in his throat.
Ash and Zoro turned their heads to Sanji. Both of them sensed his extreme alarm. “Sanji? Baby, are you okay?” Ash asked, furrowing her brows in concern. Zoro also gave him a skeptical look.
“… the kids…” Sanji gulped.
“The… the kids? What about them?” Zoro inquired slowly.
“The kids are gone!” The blonde man stated in a panicked tone.
Ash and Zoro froze in their places. The three of them rushed over to the railing where they saw the dock area completely void of people. Hana and Ace were nowhere to be found. Ash and Zoro widened their dark hues, absolutely terrified by the fact that they couldn’t see their children. “Oh… Oh my god! The kids!” Ash exclaimed anxiously. Zoro and Sanji immediately rushed down the docking ramp in a hurry.
This caused the attention of the rest of the crew to fall on Ash, Zoro, and Sanji. “What’s wrong, guys?!” Nami asked frantically.
Ashley fiercely turned to her good friend as her two husbands were calling out the names of their son and daughter. “Hana and Ace aren’t on the dock! They’re missing!” Ash says in a panicked tone. Tears threatened to fall from their dark chocolate-brown orbs, and they began to breathe heavily. Her mind was running a mile a minute, her throat went completely dry, and her heart went numb. Ash began to tremble — so much so that she dropped her honey lemon chia fresca. The glass cup shattered once it had hit the ground, and tears started cascading down her tan cheeks.
This was when the crew’s anxiety started to run rampant. They all instantly began to panic, and worry was coursing through their veins. Chopper and Robin immediately ran over to Ashley in an attempt to calm her down, and Luffy handed Yuna over to Franky after taking his straw hat from her and putting it on. By this point, Zoro and Sanji were already well into the town searching for their missing children.
“Goddamnit! I told them to stay on the dock while we finished everything here!” Alex cursed, hurriedly making her way down to the dock.
“Ashley, listen to me. Try your best to regulate your breathing. Follow my breathing patterns. Stress isn’t good for the baby.” Robin told her friend calmly, although incredibly panicked herself. Ash wasn’t budging despite Robin’s efforts.
“Robin, Franky, and I will remain here with Ashley and Yuna! You guys go and find Hana and Ace!” Chopper instructed as he tried his best to ease his friend’s nerves.
Luffy nodded. A gazillion possibilities were running through everyone’s minds. What if someone had kidnapped Hana and Ace? What if they happened to get in a situation that they can’t get themselves out of? “Alright! Split up to cover more ground! Let’s go!” Luffy commanded his crew, who didn’t object by any means. They were determined to find the babies of the crew safe and sound. Before he left, Luffy quickly ran over to his wife, who was in tears. He absolutely hated seeing Ashley in such a broken state, his heart breaking at the sight. He took off his straw hat and put it on the brunette, which made her freeze and seize her crying.
“L-Luffy…?” Ash muttered through her hiccups.
“We will get them back. No doubt about it.” He told her confidently and soothingly, kissing her forehead.
“O-Okay…” She muttered in a shattered tone, nodding.
Without another word, Luffy ran as fast as he could into the town to find his two kids.
{~~~}
“WHOA! HANA, LOOK AT THAT WEIRD THINGY!” Ace announced obnoxiously, pointing to a knickknack that he found intriguing.
Hana rolled her eyes. “Keep your voice down, idiot! You don’t want to attract any attention to us!” Hana chastised her little brother.
“But I want another one of those thingies!” He protested.
Hana crossed her arms over her chest. “Really? You didn’t even buy those. You pickpocketed those things!” The older sister stated in a low voice, so as to not alarm the passerbyers in the streets.
“Well, at least I didn’t get caught!” Ace cheered with a toothy grin plastered on his face.
“That sounds exactly like something that Aunt Nami would say…” Hana trailed off with a sigh.
“She says that if you don’t get caught, then you’re fine!”
“Yeah, I’m starting to think that you shouldn’t take her advice when it comes to stuff like this, Ace,” Hana stated with a somewhat sarcastic and unemotional tone in her voice. She observed her surroundings — something that her parents had taught her to do at a young age. However, in Hana’s opinion, Ace wasn’t even close to mastering that skill, so to speak. The green-haired swordswoman kept one hand on one of her katanas to be ready to strike if needed to, always keeping out for stuff in the corner of her eyes. That’s when the little girl caught a glimpse of two people that were very familiar to both her and Ace. It was two out of three of their fathers — their Papa Luffy and Papa Zoro.
Widening her chocolate brown orbs, she grabbed her little brother by the wrist and yanked him into an alleyway, intending to utilize it as their detour. “Shit! They may have seen us!” Hana cursed in a whisper, but her brother still heard her and decided to comment on it.
“Hehehe, Hana said a naughty word!!” Ace exclaimed noisily. Even though she loved her brother, Hana knew that Ace was loud, and often during the worst of times. This was most definitely the worst of times for the siblings.
“Shut your mouth, Ace!!” Hana hissed lowly, and in an instant, her little brother was quiet. However, it wasn’t because of Hana getting short with him. It was because of the fact that he and his sister weren’t alone in that alleyway. In front of him and his sister, who wasn’t looking in his direction. Ace’s eyes widened as the two men stopped their conversation, locking their gazes with Ace’s as they approached him and his eldest sister.
“Umm…”
“What is it, Ace?” Hana whispered sharply as the two men’s shadows engulfed their small figures.
When she didn’t get an answer, she was confused. His silence only made Hana quizzical and worried, since Ace was never silent. If Roronoa Ace was quiet, which was a rare occasion, then something was really wrong. Hana turned around to say something to her brother, but her words were caught in her throat for a brief second when she saw the two men towering over the two of them. They were incredibly menacing to the children, more so to Ace than to Hana. “What are we gonna do, Hana?” Ace questioned quietly, frozen in his spot.
“You two are liabilities, so you’re gonna come with us!” One of the two men growled threateningly as he grabbed Ace’s wrist, trying to forcefully take him with him.
Hana just sighed roughly. This man’s fate was sealed the moment that he decided to touch her brother. With an intense glare that could cut through anything, Hana began her attack. Unsheathing her two katanas, she shut her eyes tight and focused on what she learned during her training with her Papa Zoro. As she opened her eyes to see her brother being taken away, Hana unleashed her attack. “Two Sword Style: Spinning Ribbon Cyclone!” She roared, setting her sights on the two men that made the poor decision of trying to harm them. Hana then charged at the two men within a blink of an eye, causing her to leave behind huge gusts of winds that were spiral-shaped. Not only were these two men screaming bloody murder, but they were also incredibly and clearly harmed. Hana’s attack eventually dissipated, leaving the two men in a state of complete agony and shock. This attack caused the two shady men to drop the chest that held this weird-shaped fruit. Hana just barely stuck the landing, wobbling on her right foot for a second before standing up as straight as a stick. “Hell yeah! I stuck the landing!” Hana cheered with an elated grin on her tan face.
“Just barely…” Ace murmured in hopes to annoy his sister a little bit, which worked well for little Ace.
“Oh, hush, you!! I count that!” Hana argued vehemently. Sighing roughly, Hana sheathed her twin katanas. She knew that this attack would attract the attention of her Papa Zoro and Papa Luffy, since they were close by. Not too much sooner, Hana’s intuition was proven to be correct when she and Ace saw their two fathers lock eyes with them.
“AAAAAACE!! HANAAAAAAAA!!” The furious voice of Luffy sounded loudly, reverberating off of the stone walls of the buildings that made up the alleyway they were. Even though there was an evident sense of rage in his voice, Hana could see the fear in Luffy’s dark eyes.
The brother and sister duo nodded to each other, seemingly having the same plan in mind. “Go! Now!” Hana ordered as she swiftly yanked the odd-looking fruit from the chest that it was in. That’s when she and Ace booked it, running away from their two dads.
“DON’T RUN AWAY FROM US, YOU TWO! GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!” Zoro demanded as he chased after his son and daughter.
Luffy utilized his Devil Fruit abilities in this situation, stretching out his arms to try and capture the two children, but it was to no avail. Hana and Ace had already turned the corner and ran away as fast as they possibly could. “Dammit!” Luffy cursed, both of his arms returning back to normal as Zoro chased after their kids.
Meanwhile, Hana and Ace had managed to escape from their parents’ wrath. They ran and ran until finally, they reached another alleyway to camp out in. They caught their breaths for a moment before they both sat down on the ground, which certainly dirtied their attire even more than it already was. Hana held the strange fruit in her hands, looking at it. Both she and Ace were examining this interesting type of food, curious about it. It was a fruit that was spiky, similar to that of a pineapple, but it was in the shape of what looked like a pear or an eggplant. It was pristine white in color, and the fruit emitted a light electric static charge that caused Hana and Ace’s hair to frizzle and stand up.
Ace tilted his head curiously. “What is it?” He asked his sister.
“I don’t know, bro,” She responded, shrugging her shoulders. Hana stared at the fruit for a moment before not even hesitating in taking a bite of the food.
“You just took a bite of it?”
“Yeah, so what? You can’t tell me that you wouldn’t do the same thing.”
“Fair,” Four-year-old Ace said as he shrugged his shoulders. After a minute of Hana eating this fruit, Ace’s curiosity got the better of him. He snatched the fruit from Hana’s hands, and he took a huge chomp out of the fruit on the side that Hana didn’t bite into.
“Hey! You fwicking…!” Hana began with food in her mouth, but then swallowed her bite to finish her sentence. “You fricking jerk! What was that for?!”
Before Ace could even respond, he ended up spitting out the fruit immediately. “Ew! Gross! I just wanted to try it!” Ace continued to spit onto the ground to attempt to get rid of the horrid taste in his mouth.
Crossing her arms, Hana lifted a brow in question. “What do you mean? It tasted really good to me. It was kinda tangy and sweet, I guess you could say. You just have a poor taste in food, Ace.” Hana remarked jauntily.
Before anything else could be said between the two of them, Hana and Ace were caught by surprise when someone grabbed them by the back of their shirts. They screamed in fright, trying to wriggle away. However, they were both unsuccessful. When the two children looked up, they saw their two fathers, Zoro and Luffy. The angriest expressions were hardened on their faces, and it was at that moment that Hana and Ace knew that they had screwed up big time.
“What the hell is wrong with you two?! Thinking it’s okay to sneak off like that without an adult — that’s dangerous and ludacris! Me and your Aunt Alex gave you instructions, and you disobeyed us! Do you know how worried we were about you guys?! Something could have happened to—” Zoro expressed frantically, his voice rising instantly with no hesitation.
In the middle of his husband’s ranting, Luffy noticed that Ace was holding something in his hand. Curious, Luffy decided to take a peek. His eyes widened in realization. “Zoro,” Luffy started bluntly, “Ace has something in his hand.”
Zoro immediately fell silent when he recognized what his son was holding. He froze for a moment, not knowing what to do. He figured Robin would have more information regarding what this fruit was, but Zoro and Luffy both could tell that this was a Devil Fruit. “Which one of you ate this? Did you both eat this? Where did you get it from?” Zoro questioned seriously, staring down both his older children. Luffy stood at his side with a cross look on his face and with his arms folded over his chest.
Ace’s eyes shifted to the side for a brief second. The little boy kept his firm grasp on the Devil Fruit. “Well, Papa Zoro, we ended up stealing the food from those two guys that Hana beat the crap out of. Hana ate it first, but I also had some after.” Ace admitted slowly, telling his dad the information that he was wanting.
Zoro’s gaze then focused on Hana, who didn’t let her unaffected demeanor falter in any way. Hana thought for sure that her Papa Zoro would yell at her, but he just remained silent. Honestly, the tense silence and the hardened glare of Zoro’s was telling Hana and Ace enough. “Let’s get them back to the ship.” Zoro huffed angrily, still holding his two kids by their shirts.
“Right,” Luffy agreed, nodding.
Hana didn’t like this decision that was made by her parents. The little girl grumbled in frustration as Zoro and Luffy began escorting their kids back to the Thousand Sunny. Hana’s emotions were building up, frustration being the emotion that typically got the best of her. This time wasn’t any different. All she wanted to do was explore the island with Ace. Where was the harm in that? She didn’t understand it, and she hated not getting her way. “DAD! We just wanted to explore the island a bit! Why couldn’t we just do that?!” Hana had brought up in an infuriated manner after a moment of silence had passed by the group of four. “Also, is it really necessary to carry us back to the Sunny by the back of our shirts?”
Zoro glared at his daughter harshly. “That’s enough outta you.” He stated coldly. It was clear that Zoro had enough of his children’s shenanigans, and he was beyond livid with them.
Because of Zoro’s lack of a satisfying response, Luffy ended up answering for him. “Yes, it is necessary because we don’t want you two running away from us. You need to stay with the adults because you’re too young to go out on your own.” Luffy affirmed acutely. “You didn’t follow orders that were given to you, and you ran away and did things your own way. Hana, Ace, you two could have gotten hurt or in a situation that you couldn’t get yourselves out of.” It was incredibly strange to see their Papa Luffy in such a stern and humorless manner, and that oddity alone sent a strong message to the kids.
Hana folded her arms over her chest, letting out a complaint in the form of a disapproving groan. All of her feelings were building up inside of her, and before anyone knew it, something had happened. Hana’s body emitted some kind of static energy that ended up shocking Zoro, which, in turn, caused him to drop Hana to the ground. He nearly dropped Ace, as well, but he managed to tighten his grip in time before he fell to the ground. Zoro was speechless for a second, blinking. “What… Hana, what the—?!”
“I’m sorry, Papa Zoro, I don’t know how I did that!”
“You shocked me!” Zoro exclaimed in disbelief. He sighed roughly, handing his daughter to her other father. “Take her to keep the electricity insulated.”
Luffy nodded. “Yup, you got it, babe.” The captain replied as he took the little green-haired girl in his grasp. They kept walking, almost making it back to the ship, when Luffy and Ace abruptly broke out into a fit of giggles. Hana giggled quieter than her father and brother, keeping a smirk on her face.
“What’s so funny?” Zoro inquired brazenly, lifting a brow.
“Shishishi! Dad’s hair is frizzy!” Ace snickered with a huge playful grin on his face that matched Luffy’s grin.
Zoro only huffed in response. Even though he and Luffy, along with the rest of the crew, weren’t pleased with what had taken place, Zoro was incredibly happy and more so relieved to be hearing the laughter of his two kids. Anything could have happened to them. Something awful and horrible could have befallen these two little children, and no one would have been there to save them. Zoro wouldn’t have been able to protect his precious kids if anything terrible had happened to Hana and Ace. Despite the fact that he was cross with them, finally locating Hana and Ace and finding them safe and sound instantly eased the majority of Zoro’s nerves. It seemed like Luffy felt the same way, as well.
Once they got back to the ship, the four of them saw that everyone else that had gone out to locate the kids was back on the ship. “We found them!” Luffy announced to his crew, causing sounds of relief to fill the air. Ashley turned their head to see a very displeased Zoro and Luffy enter on the ship with their two young children in their grasp. Ash audibly gasped when she saw her kids. Luffy sat Hana down and Ace wriggled out of Zoro’s grasp. Although Zoro had loosened his grip a bit, which made it easier for the four-year-old boy to escape. The brunette mother rushed over to her two kids and her two husbands.
Hana and Ace were alarmed by their mother’s mannerisms. Ace, in particular, was showing how worried he was for Ash. Their mother had puffy red eyes and tears streaming down their face, staining their tan cheeks. The two kids were extremely shaken up seeing their mother in this way because this sight was a first for them. Hana and Ace had never seen their mother break down and cry like she was doing currently. In fact, both of the Roronoa children could ever remember a time when they witnessed their mother crying like she was now.
Ace and Hana widened their dark eyes as their mother approached them. “Mama, what—” Ace started, but his mother had cut him off.
“DON’T YOU EVER RUN AWAY LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN! YOU HEAR ME?!” Ashley wailed as she engulfed her children in a bone-crushing embrace. The brunette was surprised that they were even able to get that sentence out without stuttering. They were letting out all of their frustration, anxiety, and paranoia at this moment in time, which was made clear by their sobbing. “Do you know how much you worried everyone?! It’s dangerous for kids so young to go out on their own! You never know what kinds of people you’ll come in contact with, or what they’ll do to you if they have ill intentions!”
“Ohhh, just like those weird guys in the alleyway?” Ace blurted out. This earned him a hit on the top of his head from his eldest sister.
“You dummy,” Hana mumbled, puffing out her cheek.
“WHAT?!” Multiple crew members exclaimed in shock and worry, including Ashley, Chopper, Ussop, and Nami, to name a few. They were all very clearly freaked out by what the four-year-old had vaguely mentioned.
Ash narrowed their eyes at their two older children, a serious expression on their face. Their chocolate brown hues held immense concern in them. “Hana, Ace, explain. Now.” Ash demanded.
“Um… we were running away from Papa Luffy and Papa Zoro, so we decided to hide in an alleyway. There were two men there talking about this weird fruit thing here,” The raven-haired boy then pulled out the Devil Fruit from behind his back, which immediately didn’t sit right with Ash, “and then Hana beat the crap outta those guys! It was soooo freaking cool! Then, after that, we stole the fruit because we were hungry and hid somewhere else until our Papas came and found us.” Ace explained nonchalantly to his mother.
Ash’s eyes were wide as she took in all of that information. “See? It’s people like those men that you have to be watchful for!” The brunette sighed before continuing. “Which one of you ate this fruit?” She asked.
“It was both of them. Hana ate it first, and then Ace decided to take a bite of it.” Zoro answered his wife gruffly.
“Robin,” Sanji started as he helped Ash up from the ground where she was meeting her children’s height, “do you happen to know what kind of Devil Fruit this is?”
Robin approached her niece and nephew. “Let me see it.” She said calmly, and Ace gave his aunt the half-eaten fruit. After a moment of analyzing this odd fruit, Robin let out a gasp.
“What? What is it, Robin?” Alex asked her girlfriend nervously.
“This is… the Rai-Rai Devil Fruit! It’s an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit, one with great power that should not be taken lightly. Some would argue that the Rai-Rai Devil Fruit is one of the more dangerous of the Devil Fruits. It’s known for its power centering around lighting. In particular, we’re talking about the ability to manifest, generate, and manipulate lighting. It wouldn’t surprise me if there are more avenues to her powers. Since Hana was the first one to consume this fruit, that means she now has those abilities at her disposal.” Robin elaborated, informing the others about this matter.
“Aw, yeah! New powers! Does this mean that I can put this in my weapons?!” Hana questioned with excitement in her eyes.
Robin smiled sweetly at Hana’s enthusiasm, knowing what her niece meant. “Yes, I would say that it’s entirely possible to incorporate your Devil Fruit abilities into your weaponry.” The raven-haired woman replied.
“Yay!!” Hana cheered with a bright smile.
“Hana, these Devil Fruit powers are a huge adjustment. They’re going to take a little while to control and get used to, especially since it’s such a strong type.” The blonde cook pointed out to his eldest daughter.
If anything, others around her could perceive Hana as determined. This was a new challenge for her to try and defeat, so she was more than willing to take this opportunity head-on. “Yeah, I know, Papa Sanji. It’s okay, though, because I know that I got this in the bag!” The green-haired little girl declared with a motivated spirit.
“Well, I’m just happy that you and your brother are safe,” Nami commented with a relieved sigh. “Who knows what could have happened with those two men…”
“Yeah, we’re sorry for running off like that. I guess we didn’t realize how much that made you guys worry.” Hana apologized. Although, she was mainly saying it for the sake of formality. Hana definitely had fun running around the town, and she would be lying if she said she wouldn’t do it again.
“Yeah, we’re sorry…” Ace trailed off.
“Please, listen to us next time. When we tell you to do something, then do it. We love you guys. We want you guys to be safe and happy. You can’t do something like that again.” Ashley reiterated softly.
“So, Mama, Papas, now that we’re back home and we’ve apologized, does this mean Hana and I aren’t in trouble anymore?” Ace asked with a hopeful grin.
“No,” Their parents all said instantly with no hesitation.
This elicited groans of complaints from Ace and Hana. “What?! Why not?!” Ace exclaimed.
“We don’t have to reiterate why you two are in trouble,” Ashley stated. “In fact, you’re both grounded for a week after this stunt you pulled.”
“UGH!!”

hey!! sorry if this has been asked before, but what's the best place to get physical copies of the albums? my friend is a huge fan and i wanna get him some!
Hi! Surprisingly this actually has not been asked yet! Just want to preface this by saying this won't have anything linked so as to not let Tumblr eat my response, but I'll reblog it and add links to the reblog.
This got... kind of long so it's under a readmore!
Also want to preface this by saying I'm almost positive Utsu-P really only does one single release of his albums - once the initial stock is gone, they're gone, and he sells a lot of them at physical release events (such as tabling during Magical Mirai) and whatever stock is leftover gets put online. This is why his albums (especially older ones) can get a little pricey if you buy them secondhand. Also be prepared to pay a lot for shipping. I live in the US and don't think I've ever paid less than 25 USD to import stuff from Japan.
OFFICIAL WEBSITES / FIRSTHAND GOODS
Because his stock is gone forever when it sells out, unfortunately Utsu-P has no single official place to purchase old Vocaloid albums like he does for his band and idol group. They're mostly scattered on a few different websites. (Okay, so, he does have an Amazon page, but I hate Amazon, and you can buy them just as easily on other sites.)
The Ohayogozaimas albums (and other merch) are available on Utsu-P's Booth page. The proxy service Buyee works directly with Booth to import items to you. Monosugoi is out of stock, but their other albums are available.
The Zsasz albums (and other merch) are available on their official storesjp page. You need a proxy service like Tenso to purchase them. Their debut self-titled EP is no longer for sale, but everything else is available.
Tokyo Otaku Mode is a pretty well-known online shop for anime stuff. They're still selling UNIQUE, although it is on special order, and as of right now has a 7 week processing time. I bought my copy of UNIQUE from here. It came four months after it was supposed to arrive, with little to no communication from the site. So... if you're desperate.
CDJapan is a good resource when his albums first release, but once they sell out, they sell out. I've never used this website personally, but after glancing around their FAQ it seems like items typically aren't restocked. The only two Utsu-P albums they have in stock right now are a #Compass compilation album with his Kire Carry On remix, and UNIQUE (which they don't actually have, their supplier has).
Tower Records is also best utilized immediately after album releases. I've never used this one myself either, but it looks like you'll have to utilize a proxy service such as Tenso, as I don't think they ship internationally. Looks like they still have copies of UNIQUE, IDOLATRY (his second album with Sekihan), Warufuzake, and some compilation albums. They also have a couple Ohayogozaimas albums (Toku ni Nashi and Maeda), but Ohayogozaimas has their own website, so I'd recommend using that instead.
UNOFFICIAL SITES / SECONDHAND GOODS
Japanese Mercari is where I personally have purchased most of my collection. The proxy service Buyee lets you purchase from Mercari, and they do all the hard proxy work for you.
eBay, Amazon, and your own country's Mercari are also places to look. People on eBay are wild with the prices though. There's some rare finds, but unless you're willing to drop over 100 USD for a single album, I'd recommend just waiting for someone to list it on JP Mercari.
Hope this helps! Sorry if it's a little overwhelming with information. I had a lot to say! Any questions with anything specific, just let me know!

I haven’t told you my entire recent “I think I made a mistake” journey through proxy shopping these past two months, but I recently received a notification that one of my orders got cancelled because it looks like it was sent, but never arrived to FJ’s warehouse (and all thanks to my stupid bad timing: they recently changed locations at the time I ordered it, and there has been some delays here and there about domestic shipping and what not), and it was “out of stock” in the original store.
I got sad about it because, what are my chances of seeing this thing again available just like that... but because I am a little curious (and got a little obsessed about this), I DID find out that by mere coincidence the item WAS JUST restocked in the store it came from (there’s also another copy, but it’s sold by partnership with another store). SURE, it has a slightly different price, but I’m having vibes that this restock is actually the item I originally ordered but got returned :S. I mean, what are the odds, especially since it is a QUITE specific book?
Anyway. I’m... kinda having this whole dilemma of ordering it, AGAIN, through them, even with that slight different price. I just got of a whole 20+ days of worriness of the other item I ordered from that same batch once I was notified it MADE it to their warehouse (and I’m just waiting a little to ship it my way), and I was also refunded the money from the cancelled order. I am considering the risks here because, I have been warned how long this may take to ship domestically, and there’s also their OWN aforementioned delays due to their relocation... then again, going through the same period of waiting, when there’s nothing assuring me that it may arrive to their warehouse (in an inquiry I previously sent, they told me that the item was sent 10 days after the order was made, but I guess it never arrived or it got lost), my own patience does have its limit. The worst that could happen is... this cycle happening again, actually: the item gets sent to their warehouse, due to kerfuffle it never arrives and gets sent back to the store (assuming this is what happened with it), then the order gets cancelled, and I get refunded my money back.
And, I don’t know. maybe it’s my brain being quite active right now at 5 AM but I’m considering other options but, as always, I don’t know other trusted people that could make me this favor (I do know a couple of sources, but never bought through them, or they may have moved away/no longer active in doing this) and the fact I just saw it restocked with only one copy available directly through their online store is like. “YEAH”, maybe I am feeling a little urgent about it, because I do want to get the item, luckily it was restocked, and I have been “????” for the past hour.
Dunno what to do right now, and, yeah, it’s 5 AM, I don’t have anyone else to talk and ponder about this whole thing, lol. I’m QUITE aware of the risks and all that if I do it through FJ, right now (and there’s this conspiracy-like thing tingling in my head about the restocked copy in the store, lmao). I might wait the entire day if possible just to process everything I have on hand.

As a princess of a Mid Rim planet, you were often required to attend banquets on the regular
Usually you would just attend these on your planet, as your parents preferred not to put you at risk by having you travel off world
So suddenly you found yourself swept up in getting prepared for one of your first trips off world
However, this next banquet was extremely important
It was only being held on Coruscant, as it was a chance to have royalty, senators, and Jedi interacting in one safe (-ish) venue
Due to you not traveling off world, that made you a huge target
There were many people who wanted you dead as your planet was important to the republic, and this was their opportune moment to do so
So it was decided by your parents that you would have to travel undercover, not accompanied by your royal guard or anything to give away that you were of royalty
Your kingdom had gotten in contact with the republic, trying to see if they could get you a safe passage to Coruscant
There were no squads available, but in a moment of luck, the royal guard stumbled upon Clone Force 99
They were on planet to refuel and restock on supplies
So your parents were contacted about this new piece of info, and after a call with the republic, Clone Force 99 suddenly had a new mission to do
They were informed that they would need to get you to coruscant, having to pass through a rogue checkpoint set up by enemies of your planet
As this was all going on, you were getting ready to leave for your first ever off planet banquet
You were excited, your home world was lovely but you had read about so many other planets
After your servants had helped you pack up what you needed for your trip (your actual items for the banquet were being sent on a different ship, you just had some spare changes of clothes and other necessities), You quickly got changed out of your royal garb into something much less conspicuous
Dressed in maroon leggings, black boots, a dark gray undershirt, and a black poncho, you felt completely different then how you usually dressed
You quickly tied your hair back into a bun, throwing the bag with your stuff over your shoulder as you walked to the main hall
You heard many voices, one in particular that was booming through the halls that you couldn’t put your finger on
You stepped into the main hall, stopping as you noticed five men standing with their backs to you
You recognized the armor right away, and let out a small gasp
In the past, the 212th has come to your kingdom to help and protect at banquets
You have had Commander Cody assigned to you personally a few times, and over the years you have become pretty close friends
As you were pretty sheltered from the war, you would always pester him to tell you stories about everything
At first he refused, but over time he started to open up and tell you the stories he had
It was interesting hearing about the 212th
But the stories that really stuck with you were the ones surrounding the clones who dubbed themselves ‘The Bad Batch’
The crazy antics, the fact that they just charge head-on into battle, it was nothing that you have ever heard of before
Especially compared to the clone troopers you knew, it was just so,, out of character
So needless to say you became a big fan (and Cody knew it)
The most recent time Cody had visited, he showed you a holovid of the batch fighting
You were completely and utterly awestruck by them
So seeing the men who donned the armor that you had seen in that holovid weeks ago made you completely stop in your tracks
You quickly take in a deep breath and made your presence known
Hunter
When Hunter turns around to see you, he was taken back by how pretty you are
He noticed your increased heart rate, at first he figured that it was because of the armor, but it didn't seem like you were scared?
He just mentally shrugged it off, raising an eyebrow under his helmet
He would then take the initiative and introduce himself and the Bad Batch to you
He carefully took his helmet off, giving you a small smirk as he walked towards you
Seeing his tattoo in person put you in a state of awe, he was gorgeous - Intimidating, but gorgeous
You would go to stand in front of him, giving a smile and sticking your hand out for him to shake
Throughout the entire trip, you were intrigued by Hunter
You thought that he would be a lot more intimidating, but he was honestly extremely laid back
He gave you a tour of the entire ship and made sure that you felt safe and comfortable before he gave the command to take off
When you had to go through the checkpoint, he had to leave you to talk with the guards, but when he could he would sneak glances back to make sure that you were ok
The checkpoint went smoother then expected, and Hunter was able to come back pretty quickly and sit by you on his bunk (he had allowed you to stay on it while you were being transported)
After a few hours on board, you finally mustered up the courage to ask him about his senses (you were dying of curiosity) - which deeply confused him since he had never mentioned them
You would then confess how you knew Cody and that he told you about them
He would chuckle, mumbling under his breath about how that explained why your heart rate went up before
Hunter would then put his hand on your shoulder teasingly, just so he could see how it would affect you
Of course it made your heart rate go up, which made him chuckle
He then went into explaining his senses, and mentioning how he could feel your heart rate
You were a blushing mess! Especially when you realized that he could tell how you were being affected by him
But the moment ended to quickly, him getting up to prepare for the landing on Coruscant
When you land, he would lead you out with his hand on your lower back, making sure you safely got off
And then when it was time to depart, he pulled you in for a hug, lowering his mouth to your ear
“Hopefully we’ll see you again sometime Mesh’la”
Wrecker
When he notices Hunter turn around in the throne room, he automatically follows suit, holding in a gasp when he first saw you
He could not get over how beautiful you are, living for how your outfit is matching the Batches color scheme
It took all of Wreckers self control to not yell out a greeting, realizing that you are royalty
But when Hunter introduced him to you, he automatically gave a wave and a hearty hello
Honestly it was so adorable, it caused you to grin and wave back (much to your parents dismay, you weren’t acting very princess-y)
When you shake his hand, you are absolutely baffled by how big his hand is compared to yours
Your were expecting to feel intimidated by him, but honestly you felt the complete opposite
Hunter led you on a tour of the ship, and Wrecker automatically tagged along, curious of you
He pointed out small items around the ship, introducing you to Gonky and showing off Lula
Lots of laughter came from him as you glanced curiously around the ship, not used to being on this type of transport
Wrecker definitely made you giggle, and made you feel safe as you crossed the checkpoint
He stayed back with you, pulling you behind him when the guards entered the ship
You had a light blush on your cheeks as you stood behind him, feeling completely and utterly safe in his presence
When the guard was off the ship, he quickly pulled you into a hug and spun you around, picking you off the ground
You let out a little squeal at this, never being picked up like this in your life before (but you really liked it)
He held you against him for a little longer, hesitant to let go
When you did, you gave him a wink, turning when Hunter came back from the cockpit
You left this man a blushing mess
When it was time for you to leave, he was visibly upset
You gave him a hug, and leaned up to give him a kiss on the cheek (to the best of your abilities, this man is tall)
You assured him that the Bad Batch would be your go to whenever you needed help with anything
Wrecker smiled brightly at this, quickly kissing you on the forehead and stepping away
While you were walking away, Wrecker brought his hand up to his face
“Have fun at the banquet!!!! Eat as much food as you can for me!!!”
Tech
Tech was fidgeting with his datapad when you arrived in the throne room, trying to figure out the schematics of the transport mission so that your parents would be reassured that you would be safe
He’s the last to turn around, when Hunter introduced him to you
Tech gave a small greeting, reaching out to shake your hand, then going automatically back to his datapad
You raised an eyebrow at this, but you weren’t bothered
Cody had told you about how Tech was always like this, focused on his work
You two didn’t interact again until you were on board of the Marauder, him piloting the ship
You sat down in the co-pilot's seat, staring out into space
This was one of a few times you got to see it in person, so you were amazed
Tech noticed this, and was honestly confused why you were so infatuated by something so simple
In fact, he was so confused, he decided to state that out loud
You described how you barely left your home world, for your safety according to your parents
He raised an eyebrow at that, but noticing how your eyes were flashing from every object you saw, he started giving you facts about what you were seeing
It was extremely comfortable, you were excited to be learning about concepts you had never seen until now, and Tech was excited to share facts with you
After a while, you asked him if he could tell you about different planets he had been to recently, and Tech happily obliged
When Hunter came into the cockpit to prepare for the checkpoint, you got up to excuse yourself
As you passed Tech's seat, he grabbed your wrist, squeezing it slightly and giving you a small smile, before pulling away
You replayed that moment in your mind for the rest of the evening
When the guards came into the ship, you weren’t able to see Tech
But in the cockpit he was bouncing his leg, flicking his eyes between the guards
When they left, he mentally let out a sigh of relief, piloting the ship towards Coruscant
Soon it was departure time, sadly not being able to see much of each other since of him being the designated pilot
He stood off to the side, and you quickly ran over to him
You pulled him into a hug, him tensing before wrapping his arms around you
As you pulled away, you noticed how he fixed his goggles, fidgeting slightly before he looked back up at you with a slight tint of color on his cheeks
“Thank you for listening to me”
Echo
You hadn’t seen Echo before, he wasn’t on the holovid that Cody had shown you
But as he took his helmet off to properly greet you in the throne room, you were in awe of him
He had a small smile on his face, reaching forth to grab your hand with his intact hand, and bowed his head slightly to you as you shook it
Echo seemed like a complete and utter sweetheart (and you were slightly mad at Cody for him never mentioning Echo to you)
When you were first boarding the Marauder, he offered to take your bag, and was overall being such a gentleman
You thanked him multiple times, and after you took a tour of the ship, you plopped down on one of the boxes in the main area
Echo was sat across from you, and gave you a small smile
He was honestly taken aback by you, he had worked with royalty before, but they had usually been extremely rude to him
So meeting someone so excited to be in his company made him slightly flustered
Crossing your legs, you looked up at Echo to ask him about himself- You let him know how you had known of the Bad Batch from Cody, and from that he quickly rubbed the back of his neck
He talked about how he had just recently joined them, and how his bsttalion often worked with Cody's in the past
That made your eyes widen, excited to meet a friend of your friend
You got up quickly to make your way closer to him, standing in front of him with your hand out with the intentions of having him shake
"Well hello Cody's friend, I'm also Cody's friend nice to meet you!"
He quickly grabbed it, letting out a chuckle and stood up, but he didn’t let go of your hand
You reached out with your other hand to hold onto his arm cybernetic, giving him a small smile
He was about to say something, before Tech yelled for Echo to join him in the cockpit as they were making their way to the checkpoint
Echo quickly squeezed your hand, before quickly moving away from you
The checkpoint went well, you were unable to see Echo during it though as he was sat in the co-pilot chair, fiddling with the ship (You honestly had no clue what he was doing, you weren’t that ship savvy)
He stayed up there until you all arrived at Coruscant, and as you were leaving he quickly grabbed your hand, pulling you towards his chest
Echo then pulled away, before handing you your bag, patting your hand as you gripped onto it
“Stay safe please, if you need anything comm me”
Crosshair
Crosshair was not that excited to be doing a transport job
They had done it a few times in the past, and the people have always been rude
But when Crosshair turned around, he mentally couldn’t avoid how beautiful he thought you are
He didn’t let it show though, giving you a small smirk as he shook your hand
“Nice to meet you princess”
You blushed automatically, stepping away from him and giving him a slight nod
You gave a quiet response, respectfully giving a slight bow
Crosshair could tell how he affected you with his words, and he decided that he was going to use it to his advantage
He could tell you weren't going to be like the other passengers they've had in the past, and it was only going to be for a day so why not mess around with royalty?
So when you tripped going the ramp of the Marauder and he caught you, he held onto you and leaned down to your ear
“You better be more careful princess, you wouldn’t want to damage that pretty look you got going”
Needless to say your face was bright red, and ran into the ship while his smirk widened
You could hear Hunter chastising Cross, and you let a small giggle out, holding your hand to your face
This is not how you thought your interactions with the sniper would go at all
You didn’t see him until the checkpoint happened, Cross joining Wrecker in protecting you by keeping you behind them
He didn’t say anything as the guards came on board, but he did move slightly back towards you
When the threat was over, he plopped down into his bunk, taking his gun kit out and started to clean it
Wrecker had stepped away to go and check on what was happening in the cockpit, making sure everything was good
You watched curiously, not saying as you both sat in silence
It was relaxing until he looked up at you and raised an eyebrow, not understanding why you were just staring at him
He figured he might as well continue messing with you, and sent you a wink
With your face bright red, you rolled your eyes and walked to the front of the ship away from him
Crosshair let out a chuckle at that
When it was time to leave the ship, you walked out behind him
Cross purposely stopped halfway down the ramp, forcing you to run into him
He turned around, feigning a look of surprise with his eyebrow raised, leaning his face near your ear
“I guess you are just drawn to me princess, sad I can’t join you at your fancy banquet”

Hey guys, guess what!
You know how I've been blogging all summer about my roommate's Etsy shop and her badass lip balms and scented oil rollers and beard balm?
(Of course you do. I am nothing if not the golden retriever of cheerleading my friends.) . . . . oh. Except there are a lot of new people here lately. Okay.
Tumblr media
So: my friend and roommate, @sailorzeo, runs a small business that primarily sells at conventions and so you can imagine about how well 2020 went for said business. As luck would have it, she'd also decided 2020 was going to be the year she moved into a bigger, better booth--which rolled over to 2021, but without the 2020 sales, she wasn't able to purchase many of the supplies she needs for that bigger booth. I've been hyping her Etsy shop on my blog to boost her sales and get her the money to purchase restocking and "shit, the new booth needs more stuff than the old booth" supplies.
I'm posting this on 17 July. On 1 AUGUST, the Etsy will go into vacation mode until after the show. At that point, it's gonna be "how much product can we make by Labor Day weekend?"
So far, I've been shoving you guys at the shop, and you've responded with love and reblogs and an amount of sales that rather hilariously baffled Zeo the first morning I posted because I . . . kinda didn't tell her I was doing it, I just got a bee in my bonnet and did it and she woke up to nine orders and went "Nina what did you do." (That's, uh. Kind of a theme in my life.) And I would like to continue shoving you guys at the shop! Quite a few things are sold out, but if you're in the market for some badass lip balm, she still has quite a lot of her Overwatch-inspired and Wonder Woman-inspired flavors, and while a selfish little part of me doesn't want to pimp the Yuri on Ice-inspired flavors because I would like to keep all the Victors for myself, I have to resign myself to the fact that I already have six of her balms of various flavors rolling around the house and she'll probably have made a new batch of Victor before I need a new balm again. You don't have to know the fandoms--or know fandom at all, actually--to appreciate them, either. You can just check out the flavors themselves--which are nothing you'd find at your local drugstore.
But.
Right now, we're on a time crunch. A "we have five weeks until the show" time crunch. And while the sales from the shop have helped a lot with getting in new product supplies, she was planning to have, you know, a year's worth of sales to get actual displays on the table.
I'm currently funneling my money from my second job toward getting the booth 100% set up. (I literally ditched my cosplay to make sure this happens.) But it's going to be difficult at best to pull that off in time, if not near-impossible. And right now, her job is "make all the saleable stuff for the show," meaning she has to make a ton of product but only the cycling-out product, not the new product, can be sold. (In other words: if it says it's sold out on her Etsy, you won't be able to buy it again until after the con. The other stuff is buyable. The work she's doing right now is hella important, but doesn't provide funds for this specific show.)
So if you have a few bucks to spare and want to do something really really bomb for a really amazing woman who had an extremely shitty year due to Covid and a lack of those small business protection grants, this is the Amazon wishlist for the booth. The items on it aren't in priority order and this list actually encompasses "items for this show and bigger shows and the outdoor cons Arizona is so fond of in the winter and etc. etc.", so to be clear, here's the actual priority for right now:
1) those sets of mini-drawers. They're for moving product, because her offerings have long since outgrown the makeshift storage she had for them. She has one and needs a total of four for this show.
2) the shipping tubes. They're not actually for shipping! At the last show she was able to table at--which was in January of 2020--she started offering incense that matched her soaps. These are display/storage for those, so they don't get broken or scattered.
I get paid on Tuesday and the next thing I'm picking up from the list is a pack of the amber bottles, which are for a scented oil she doesn't yet have on the Etsy. Following that, I'll be scrambling for those display stands.
Want to help but have no cash? You do have reblogs, and that would be a great help.
Thank you guys so, so, so much for helping me with this push to get her back into the running! I appreciate everything you've done more than words can say. (And . . . there's still time to decide you need one more lip balm.)

Ooo hi I saw you take requests? I have a writing request if you want to :))
So here is my idea:
Remus has a notebook given to him by the other sides to write his thoughts down in. See, Remus has clear impulse control problems so this notebook of for him to write his thoughts down instead of just doing and saying whatever comes to mind. It gives him a chance to think about it. Sometimes, maybe like once a week give or take a few days one of the other sides will sit down with him and read his thoughts with him just to make him feel validated and heard. Well this particular time one of the sides (of your choice) sat down with the notebook and found some rather interesting things.
Now, you can take this one of two ways (it’s really all up to you!)- You can make this something angsty (hurt comfort), or you can make it something shippy! It can be any Remus ship you want but I personally am more partial to intrulogical hehe 💙💚
Take your time and have fun with it!! Have a good day :)
Ah! Ty for the request! I started writing it on the day you submitted it, but Tumblr deleted it after a while of not saving :') so now my motivation to do this is deterred
Anyway, this'll be my first time not writing something Roman centric =w=""
Remus held the book in his hands. He remembered the day Roman gave it to him, when he risked traveling into the dark scape because he knew his brother needed this. Because he did, too.
An outlet.
A place for his monstrosities to be, other than inside his head, allowed to torture him to their best abilities. The illusions his mind creates are no longer just in his eyes. It's no longer insanity- it's creativity. The journal isn't the first one. But he and Roman make sure to keep eachother stocked up; they get filled rather quickly. The Imagination holds an entire library dedicated to their filled journals from over the years.
The journals have also become sort of diaries to them. So, imagine what were to happen if one of them got lost? The possibility of their secrets being seen by unbidden eyes.
Remus burst into Roman's room, "Ro!"
Roman jumped from his spot at his desk, "Jeez- ! What is it?"
Oddly, for Remus, he seemed almost anxious, "Have you seen my latest journal?"
Ah, that explains it. Roman understands the severity of losing something that holds your private thoughts. He stood up from his desk chair, turning to face Remus better, "No, I haven't. Is it missing?"
Remus nodded, unable to speak through the panic coursing through his veins, the hormone mixing with the feeling of the plasma we call blood rushing through veins and arteries, rest in his heart, which is thumping with vigor, the- Remus shook himself. The imagery coming on its own with nothing to do with it, "Thoughts, thoughts thoughts, thoughts, blood, where? Everywhere? It is me, I am thoughts and blood and gore and death and slime, and..."
Roman pulled his brother in, the physical touch of his second half grounding him, finally balanced out with his brother there to help him.
"Breathe, Ree...I get it...I'll help you look for it, okay? Do you have any spare journals?"
Remus shook his head. He had just started this one, he was too busy brainstorming on the pages to remember to restock.
"Okay, do you have the focus to conjur any, right now?"
Remus shook his head again. No no, of course not! He's too focused on the one that's missing!
"Alright, that's okay, Ree. I get it. Here, use this for now," As Roman spoke, he pressed a plain black book in the unstable man's hands, "Get some thoughts out on that, then we can start looking, okay?"
Instead of answering, he made the rest of the way into the prince's room and started letting the thoughts out.
.
.
.
"Feel better?"
Remus let out a breath and nodded, "A lot, thanks. Can we go look, now?"
"Of course, let's go."
It took hours. The sun was gone in Thomas' living room and they were still tearing the place apart, searching absolutely everywhere. Remus was tempted to just dismantle the mind palace and look through the stuff that gets left behind. The fear was boiling in his gut in the ocean of acid.
"What if we don't find it? My blood, sweat, and tears went into that book! Pieces of my heart are in there, I can't lose it, what if someone else finds it and reads it?"
Roman shuddered, because he didn't believe that Remus was being metaphorical, "I understand the severity of the situation, Ree. We should go look in the Lightside, now..."
Remus shrugged as much as his slumped posture will allow, "Sure..."
"We'll find it, Ree..."
"That's not what I'm worried about. If I lose it? Fine, I have others, I can start a new one. I'm scared of someone else finding it and reading it... there's things in there I don't want others seeing..."
"I get it, you know I do. We'll get it back before anyone else can even know it exists, alright?"
Remus just shrugged off his comforting hand, "Stupid prince, always making promises you don't even know if you can keep. Don't do that to yourself and don't do it to me. I'm not stupid enough to fall for that shit."
Roman recoiled, almost physically, "Sometime, people just need reassurance."
"And then, when you're wrong? I know you don't like breaking promises, Princey."
"...Then hopefully we'll figure it out."
"You're such a fucking optimist, it's gross."
Roman rolled his eyes, "I'm helping you look, be nice, you doofus."
"Oh wow, "doofus", I'm so offended," Remus said without much effort.
Roman ignored him.
.
.
.
"It's not HERE!" Remus screamed, a pot crashing through the wall.
Roman manged to muffle the noise and quickly put it back together, "We will, this was only the first room in the Lightside. You need to calm down."
"I can't! What if someone else already found it and read it? What if they hate me? What if they never wanna talk to me again because nothing in there makes sense, what-"
Roman caught his hands, "Woah! Woah...Remus, when did you start caring so much about what the others think of you?"
"I don't!"
"But...-"
"I don't care about what Logan and the other think of me."
"Of what...Logan and the...? Remus...is this about Logan?"
Remus hesitated just long enough.
"Oh great Aphrodite, it is..."
"Aphro-? NO! No, I don't!"
"Remus, is there something about Logan on that book?"
Remus said fuck it in his mind and sighed, "Yes... I...some fantasies...that he might not approve of..."
"Oh, Remus..."
"What if he finds out, and he...? He just doesn't...?"
Roman hit his brother on the head, "This is why you're a doofus. It doesn't matter if he finds it, you have nothing to worry about."
Remus rolled his eyes. Literally. He rolled them like dice and Roman had to look away, but got the message.
"How would you know?"
It was Roman's turn to roll his eyes (PROPERLY).
"I'm leaving you to figure that out. But, I do."
"Sure. Whatever. Asshole."
Roman moved on to look in the next room.
.
.
.
A flash of green leaped onto him and he was tumbling over, the item in his hands flying out.
"Remus!"
The man scrambled over and snatched the book up, "Did you read it?"
"I- no, Remus what is it?"
"It's mine. Roman, I found it!"
Roman? Since when do those two talk? But, as Remus said, Roman walked in.
"Oh, thank Hades."
"Logan had it."
Roman sucked in a breath, "Did he read it?"
Remus shook his head, relief is a weird expression on the man's face.
Logan wouldn't mind seeing it more.
"What is this about?"
Roman took the liberty of answering, "The book is Remus' and it's private. Reading it would be invasive."
"Oh, my apologies, then. But, I had just picked it up, it was left over from Remus' running through the room and into the Imagination, along with some other debris I cleaned up."
"It's alright, nerd."
Logan's gaze lingered on Remus a bit, before he bid his farewells, reminded Roman of some work he needs to do by Friday, then left.
"Y'know," Roman said as they turned to walk back, "You could tell him how you feel."
Remus scoffed, "I'm not self destructive, like you, RoRo."
Ignoring Remus' jabs is difficult for the prince, nevertheless, "And do, pray tell, how it's self destructive?"
"Because he'll say no and that will hurt. I don't like when things actually hurt. I'm not risking him hating me even more."
"Woah, woah, he doesn't hate you."
"Doesn't he? I'm chaotic, irrational, vile, ik everything he fights to keep under control."
Roman digested this and thought hard on how best to explain this, "But that's exactly why you two are perfect for each other. You help him let loose when he's being a stick in the mud and he helps you keep in control of yourself and stay organized.
"You're delusional. He doesn't like me, he can't Ro. It goes against our very beings! Go ahead and fool yourself, but you can't do that to me. That's just cruel." Remus disappeared and Roman sighed as he tried to brush off his brother's words.
As the embodiment of romance, he thinks he'd know when a couple will work out or not. How will he convince his brother and Logan of that? He supposes he can't blame them for that, who would listen to the love advice of someone who loves someone that loves someone else? Kinda hypocritical.
.
.
.
"Just leave me alone!"
"Remus! Would calm down? Just listen to me!"
"No! You're a liar and I hate you! Do you want me to get hurt? You're an asshole you good for nothing prince!" He screamed. Why won't his brother let this go? Doesn't he see that everyone is better this way?
"Fine! You're right! Is that what you want to hear? Call me an asshole, call me stupid, call me evil or whatever! But I'm not wrong! Why don't you believe me? Ha! Why am I trying to reason with the self proclaimed unreasonable?"
Remus looked down from his perch on the guillotine, "Wait, RoRo-!" But he was gone.
"Fuck."
He rushed out, hoping to Loki that he didn't do too much damage.
"Roman!"
But he found who he wants looking for.
"Why are you screaming in the middle of the common room?" Came that cool and sexy voice.
"Looking for my brother, duh."
"Funny, I just spoke to him."
"Where'd he go?"
"Not sure, but he told me to stop being a robotic fake and confess to you."
"He- ? ROMAN!" Remus summoned a hammer and maybe there's a new hole in the wall.
"He was right, surprisingly."
Remus was not expecting that, "Come again?"
"I have noticed, over the course of our interactions, that I have developed feelings that I didn't recognized until Roman brought them to my attention. Remus...I have romantic feelings for you."
And it was the last casual and calculated confession Remus ever heard. He imagined something with ropes. But it was the best thing he ever heard. He didn't expect to be crying.
"Remus?"
"I like you, too..."
Logan brightened and stood up, his heart beating unnaturally, yet pleasently, as he moved closer, "Then... perhaps we...?"
But before he could finish, Remus pulled him in and there was no need for words.
Part 2 with what happened with Roman afterwards?
Ty so much for the request and I apologies for the long wait.

i'm sure making merch is like... a really complex thing esp if you want high quality stuff but some of them just.. seem like they've never tried to buy merch before. not crit or neg or anything because it feels like they're trying out new things but yeah. i just wish it was easier to give them feedback lol
I said I wasn't gonna rant but like. Well I feel like it's deeper than that. Putting it under the cut bc its long. Uh warning for cc crit if that upsets u y'know.
I personally feel it's less about "never tried to buy merch before" and more like...these guys have money.
I'm not saying I'm not well-off. My family is considered middle-high class. But even then I can't really afford stuff like impulse buying so sparingly, specially considering currency conversion and international shipping and all.
So while the prices might be pretty fair considering the quality of SOME of the merch they put out, they fail at giving a proper price range for any of the products - and this is INCREDIBLY important for those who can't go spending money freely, those who are just 16 yos that have no source of income or those who have not enough income to do that.
Merch drops come with, at best, 1 month of notice, and at worst they drop within a week from being announced. The items usually are marketed as "limited" "exclusive" "get them now before they're gone", not only that but it also seems like ccs are allergic to making restocks lol.
And like...a recent example that bothered me is Ranboo, idk when he said this in specific but it was in a stream over this past week.
At first, before Ranboo did his first "big" merch drop. He said that he'd want to do occassional restocks of items so everyone has their chance to get something they wanted. But in that recent stream he got asked about a restock of the Varsity Jackets, and he said something like "I'm not sure. Maybe one more time in the future, I want them to be exclusive"
And that's just. Well. It's a turnaround i didn't expect y'know? I understand that organizing merch drops might be difficult. But these ccs are multimillionaires, and there's no fucking way a restock could hurt them financially in any way, and it coild even be benefitial to profit more off people who were able to get a merch item in the second, third, etc release.
These practices promote impulse buying, they promote people spending more than they would be able to afford to get this "limited" merch. And it's just shitty and lowkey exploitative, I'd say.
I feel like it should be a bare minimum to try accomodate to those who don't have the capabilities to spend money freely all the time, a fucking price tag when announcing the products you're selling is not gonna hurt your sales. Occassional restocks of high-demand items are not going to make a dent in your income. But what am I meant to expect from rich, 1st world country, white dudes y'know?

Hey! I hate to ask this, you already do so much for us! But would you mind just a tiny recap of Vlamis’ live from last night? You don’t have to go into a ton of detail or anything, I just saw that it was a half hour long. I have a weird anxiety thing that keeps me from watching lives and stories for the most. Still haven’t even been able to work myself up to watching the vlamburn one as much as I’d love to! 🙁
Either way, thank you for everything!
Okay, nonnie. I went and watched the whole thing again and wrote you a detailed account of what’s been said. I’ll link the live again, then you can watch here if you want to. Or not. Up to you. 🤗 Hope this helps. 💕
youtube
Brushing his teeth and flossing for 3 minutes while talking.
800 new follower lately “where have you been before?”
“Do you do anything to your hair at night?” He adds Moroccan hair oil in the morning, nothing at night.
“What’s your favorite of the drop?” He hasn’t seen everything from the drop (like the COSMIC tie-dye) bc he’s in Santa Fe. He loves the COSMIC and MALEX embroidered things (“so subtle”) bc they are in Vlamburn’s handwriting, he loves the Manesqueeze shirt bc you can make Alex and Michael kiss by putting your wrists together. He *loves* the candle (there’s one burning on his bedside table), the silky PJs are great, but he can’t decide on just one favorite thing.
“How’s Jesa’s sanity?” She needs like 3 weeks of sleep. He explains, that while we *are* the Vlambase, the Vlambase merch company’s just Jesa and Vlamis. Jesa has a team, but all the day-to-day things, ideas, emails/customer service (Jesa), the newsletter (Vlamis). They hadn’t collaborated with anyone before Tyler, so working with him was a new experience.
One fan mentions how they wanted to buy stuff but couldn’t. Vlamis says that he’s been there, and when he wanted something in the past he couldn’t afford, he started putting away a Dollar a day.
“Thought on One Direction?” Vlamis is a Harry Styles guy. “Harry Styles’ swagger is next level!”
“What do you think about Russia? Will Vlambase merch be available here?” Talks a bit about how annoying things are with shipping companies, says they wanted to protect themselves for the holidays, and now that the Christmas rush is over, some shipping options have become available again.
“Who came up with  MANESQUEEZE” He ponders about it, and settles on Jesa. It was Vlamis’s ides to put tiny Alex and tiny Michael on the sleeves so that they can kiss tho. And Tyler came up with the idea to put a “toupee” on his head (in a previous drop, the NEVER LOOK AWAY design had tiny Alex and tiny Michael on the sleeves, but poor Alex was bald) for the design.
Someone got a MALEX pin and the candle. He knows the pin sold out fast, and he feels bad about that. They want everyone to get everything they want, but it’s difficult to make proper calculations how well an item will sell. The pandemic made things even harder. Like the PJ sets. Normally, they would wait until the sale ends and see how many sets were actually ordered, but during the pandemic, stock listings have been changing dramatically from day to day, so they had to pre-order the PJs and robes to make sure they had a certain number at their disposal. He said that they “overshot” on a couple of things, but ultimately sales have been great, and he appreciates that.
“I’m excited to make the MANESQUEEZE doodles kiss bc I do that with the NEVER LOOK AWAY shirt” Vlamis jumps up and shows his closet that’s full of Vlambase merch items.
“Why am I here, it’s almost 3am” He mentions that he’s been staying up until 4 in the past couple of days, but he has to be on set in 7 or 8 hours.
“Hello, just wanted to let you know that I got a tattoo for you” Vlamis asks for a photo and to be tagged.
“Kyle the packer [Vlamis’s roomie KA, who works in the warehouse when a new drop is ready for shipping]” Vlamis says they’re working him to death.
“Please save this live” He doesn’t know whether he’ll save it. Thinks the one with Tyler was important, but since it’s just him, he doesn’t think it’s important.
“I followed Jesa, Jesa is the real MVP” Vlamis says that Jesa is “a beast, and best in the game”. Quickly explains who Jesa is, and that she’s his partner in the Vlambase merch company. He mentions that she recently called him with an idea for Valentine’s Day, and he was like “Jesa, we need to relax!” But she loved the idea. She’s a big fan of RNM and the characters (and Tyler). “Jesa’s amazing.”
“What about new Soli art [Soli’s the artist who created the Boys Will Be Boys art for a previous drop]?” Vlamis smiles. “What about new Soli art. I like that idea. 😏“
“Your house [in New Mexico] is so cute.” Vlamis says thank you and shows the ceiling of the house (which he likes best). “Santa Fe is dope!”
“I adore your teeth” *shows his teeth* Says he had to wear braces (some even adjustable)
“I could’ve used my birthday money to buy something but I forgot” 🤨 << Vlamis’s face. “How you you forget, man?”
“Back to Twitter after this live” He mentions that he’d just been on Twitter before the live.
He got retweeted by Mountain Dew and loves it.
“I’m from Australia and hope my merch arrives before winter” Vlamis says he hopes shipping will be fast.
“Love the Valentines” They’re not actually Valentines, hence they’re “Love Notes”.  Vlamis considers doing them not just around Valentine’s Day.
“You catch any of the CW shows returning this month?” “Might have to” But he knows what he’ll be catching on the 12th. “Prodigal Son, baby!”
“Where did you get the Game Boys?” Those are his Game Boys. He has a Game Boy Advanced and a Game Boy Color.
“How do you feel about Forlex?” *scoffs* 😒 “Yeah”
“So excited for the robe!” Vlamis gets excited. “The robes and the PJs are so comfy!” Talks about how it’s a bit weird, bc they don’t make them themselves.
Several people mention that their closet looks like his closet bc of all the merch and he loves that.
“How do you feel about Forlex” *gets agitated* “Why are you asking me this? Don’t do that to me, alright?” *softer* “Don’t do that.”
“How are you doing?” He’s doing very well. Very relieved that eh sale went well. This drop was like 3-4 months of work, the night before the sale felt like an entire month, too. Jesa and Vlamis Facetimed for more than 5hrs. They set up the website, and that’s how the glitch with the GIVE ME MALEX OR GIVE ME DEATH shirts and poster happened. They made a mistake and only noticed after the website went live.
“Do you know when S3 will air?” No, he thought it might’ve been sooner, but apparently not.
“I love your poetry from the last drop so why no poems this time?” He writes poems when he’s inspired, he hasn’t written a poem in a while. He’s currently preparing to direct his first movie in June 2021, and he’s been very focused on that.
“The Meet & Greet day changed.”  Filming schedule changed bc they had snow, the schedule’s changing constantly. He’ll be set all day tomorrow (well, today, Jan 11) from 8am until 8 or 9pm. Sometimes they might even wake up in the morning and learn that the schedule’s been changed.
 “You could talk about nothing and we’d still watch.” He doesn’t want to talk about nothing, wonders if anyone has any questions about the sale.
“I’m so excited about the robe. I was going to buy more but I’m broke.” He says we should be responsible.
Someone’s still waiting about their Black Friday stuff, but he says it’s the shipping company, not them.
“Vlamentines" He *loves* that, thinks it’s a good pun.
“Gotta support Aurora.” Always. 🥰
“Jealous Guerin in S3?” You’ll see, you’ll see.
“I placed 3 orders, last one last night. Give me Malex or give me death.” He loves it. He also mentions, that they’re working hard on figuring out how to combine orders in the future so people don’t have to pay for shipping several times. They just can’t do that logistically at the moment.
“Real talk, how often do you check your DMs?” He says, that some people might’ve noticed that he occasionally likes random photos on people’s IG pages. When that happens, it’s a sign that he read someone’s DM. He feels bad when he checks his mentions with a delay, and people’s stories have already vanished after 24hours. He sometimes doesn’t get to checking DMs for a week.
“Will we ever get the original pic of the kiss recreation?” *smiles* *waggles his eyebrows* “Maybe in the morning”
“So happy the Trevor Project was chosen for this merch drop!” He’s very happy, too. According to him, it was a no-brainer. Tyler’s worked with them in the past, so it made even more sense. They wanted to make sure that Tyler felt very strongly about wherever they’d be donating.
People urge him to go to sleep. “You want me to go to bed?”
“Why is your merch not available in India?” *deep breath* “It should be, it’s ridiculous. Unbelievable.”
“Your poetry was awesome.” He appreciates the praise and promises to write some more poetry.
Someone asks whether the movie he’ll be directing in June will be a comedy, but he says it’s the opposite. He’s mentioned in the past that Aurora and him will both act in the movie, but apparently he forgot about that. He doesn’t want to jinx the movie and doesn’t know how much he should reveal just yet. Talks a bit about 5 Years Apart.
Someone mentions that it’s Jeanine’s birthday on January 14th.
“Do (or don?) a face mask, Vlamis.” He refuses. Mentions his friend and roommate Spencer Waldner, who makes face masks.
“If there’s leftover merch, will you do another sale?” He says that most things are actually sold out bc they use Blank Clo’s blanks and will only make what’s been ordered.  They might try to restock some pins tho, bc they went so quickly.
“USPS are a joke” He defends them. “They’re a public service, they’re trying hard, guys.”
“You should do a Vlambase drop with the Real Vlamis [a.k.a. Jeanie]” He’s excited and thinks it’s a good idea and asks if anyone’d be interested.
Someone congratulates him on directing his first movie. He points out that he’s directed before (Making It, a 3-part web series, it’s on YouTube).
 “Would you ever come to Australia Comic Con?” He’d love to. Mentions that he’s supposed to be in Paris in May for a convention, but he’s not sure whether that’s gonna happen considering how things are currently going with the pandemic.
Some more talk about 5 Years Apart.
Circles back to doing a merch drop with Jeanine. People like the idea.
“Please save this live.” After an IG update, things have changed and he doesn’t know how to do it. In the past he had the option to save it [for 24hrs], now he can only upload it to IGTV.
“$30 shipping to Australia hurts my soul but I did it anyway.” He appreciates that and mentions, that he lived in Australia for 6 months in the past.
“Sing some Bright Eyes” He thinks his singing would hurt people’s ears.
Jesa Joy pops up in the chat and urges him to go to bed.
“Jesa is yelling at you.” Vlamis says that Jesa’s a “yeller”, and that she has a tattoo that says “Don’t yell tho”. He admits that Jesa often yells for a good reason. “I need to be yelled at sometimes.”
Someone asks him to accept a request to join his live. He says he’s pretty tired.
He says hello to someone from Germany (not me btw :P) “What’s up, Germany ✌️”
More people ask him to sing, but he says he cannot sing. He says it’s not like a joke  or him being modest, he straight up can’t sing and is a horrible singer.
“Will there be a sequel to 5 Years Apart?” Maybe a sequel called “10 Years Apart” (he’s joking and visibly tired)
“Should I buy anything before the sale ends?” Yes.
Jesa Joy’s from Michigan, and Vlamis’s grandma’s from Middlesborough, Kentucky.
“Is Tyler singing again?” He doesn’t know. “I hope so. Love that kid’s voice” (Tyler’s 3.5 years older than Vlamis :P)
He’s getting sleepy and will read a little bit before bed. Considers drinking some Mountain Dew.
“Do you take design ideas.” Sure. Sometimes he sees design ideas from people they’ve been working on for months, but he’s gonna “steal” an idea from someone, he’ll tell them. He’ll steal it, though.
“Are you still reading SAGA?” He read the first one and is half-way through the second. He’s currently reading a book called “My First Movie” by Stephen Lowenstein. “How cliché.” Aurora got it for him.
Purple Skittles are his favorite. Purple everything.
“Your girlfriend’s the best girlfriend.” She is, she really is.
Asks Jesa Joy whether he should go to bed now.Even though it’s late, he’s hungry. Considers eating something. People tell him to go to bed.
He asks “Should I get naked and put on the PJs?” *waggles eyebrows* “I’M KIDDING, YOU’RE SICK. YOU’RE ALL DISGUSTING.” xD
“Don’t eat!” He laughs.
Says goodbye and says that Jesa’s posted a surprise picture.
“Any advice for aspiring actors?” Tells them to make their own stuff bc no one’s gonna hire them. (He’s being sarcastic). “It’s dark, but it’s what you need to hear.”
“Okay, love you guys. Thank you again! It was our best sale yet. Means a lot to me. Means a lot to Tyler. Us doing so well might mean that Tyler will work with us again. So I really appreciate it. Okay, I love you all.”
Jesa promises to post the pic in 4 minutes. He’s excited. “See, I got her to do it! The picture is kind of ridiculous.”
*pretends to take off his shirt, stops halfway through* “Noooooo, noooooo, noooooo!”
*throws kiss* “Love you guys, good night.”

My Cell
Word Count: 1.7k
Summary: Spencer falls in love with the reader, who is the owner of a bookstore
Extra Info: Titled after “My Cell” by the Lumineers, which is one of my favorite songs ever, 11/10 should listen. Also the book I mention in here is one of my all time favs if you’re looking for a recommendation
Requests: Open
masterpost
Tumblr media
Spencer had a thing for books. At least, that’s what he told himself as he was walking into Bastet Books for the third time this week. Even though this bookstore was on the other side of town, and there were exactly three other book stores that were considerably closer to his apartment. He told himself this bookstore was better, even though the other ones had far greater selections (and lower prices). He told himself that he liked the white cat with one blue eye and one green eye that greeted him at the door every time he came in, and it had nothing to do with you thank you very much.
 Of course, he had noticed that you were… attractive. But attraction is nothing but science. Anyone would be attracted to someone as beautiful as you were. The way your hands gently cradled the books in your arms as you restocked them on the shelf. The way your eyebrow furrowed slightly as you read, making you look lost in another world. Anyone would notice the smell of lavender and Old Spice as you walked by, excusing yourself with a soft voice and a shy smile, your bright eyes darting theirs as they moved past. This is what Spencer used to explain the butterflies that flew around in his stomach every time he saw you at the cash register.
He did not have a crush on you, he was just observant.
 And as Spencer walked out of the bookstore with an armful of true crime and a copy of Twilight (in Russian of course, as he doesn’t read fiction in English, but still takes his friend’s recommendations), he realized he was going to have to think of some more reasons why he drives the extra 20 minutes to this bookstore, because the persistent itch in his eyes and nose were telling him he may be allergic to cats.
 Three days later Spencer was back at the bookstore. The same bookstore that was an inconvenient distance away and had an animal that he was definitely allergic to. He told himself he got allergy medicine because there may be other times where it might come in handy and going into the bookstore was a good way to test it out anyway.
 The bell on the door welcomed him in. As always, he immediately looked to the cash register, secretly hoping to see you. No, I’m not hoping anything Spencer assured himself. Although his own mind contradicted this thought as he found himself disappointed when he laid eyes on not you, but an older man with a scraggly beard behind the counter. Funny, he thought for sure you worked on Thursdays. But he began browsing the shelves anyway because he was certainly here to buy books and that did not change based on who was working.
 He made his way to a section he hasn’t been down before: Historical Fiction. Usually, he preferred to keep historical and fiction books separate from each other, as he found the inaccuracies to be outraging when the two were mixed together. But he had already read all of the historical books in the store by now, and as he found last time, he was not a fan of complete fiction. Even in Russian.
 His long fingers traced the dusty spines on the shelves as he read each title to himself. The quiet music echoing down the empty aisle made him smile slightly, another reason he loved this store. The others were boring and dead silent. Stepping into them felt like walking around a prestigious museum more than a bookstore. Not here. Here, there was the strum of acoustic music that made everything feel alive. Small conversations could be heard from other aisles, and he liked how they stacked the books here. Not just on the shelves, but on top of them, and on coffee tables placed sporadically throughout the room. There were even books on the windowsills, as if the store were so bursting with words and stories they couldn’t be confined to a single space.
 Spencer picked up a book from the top of the shelf: The Secret History by Donna Tartt. It was clearly used; the cover was bent at the corner and the spine was broken in several places. It was even starting to rip at the bottom. These were his favorite books. Ones that were read by so many people it was starting to fall apart but seemed to stay together just for him.
 “That’s a great book.”
 Spencer turned to the voice, but he knew he didn’t need to. He would recognize the softness of the words and the smell of lavender anywhere. You were standing near him, a box of newly shipped books in your arms, ready to shelve. Except the box was marked Contemporary, not Historical Fiction. Maybe it was this minute detail, the one that meant you had walked into the aisle he was in just to see what he was reading that gave him the courage to respond.
 “Yeah, it looks good. I think I’m gonna buy it.”
 He pretended to study the cover again. He wanted to keep talking, he really did, but the words seemed stuck in his throat.
 “You’re Spencer, right?”
 Spencer looked up again and nodded, trying to keep his face and body language casual, even though he could hear his heartbeat in his ears.
 “You’re in here a lot, aren’t you?”
 Spencer nodded again. Say something, he scolded himself.
 “Yeah, I uh, really like to read.”
 He mentally slapped himself. Could he have picked something more stupid to say?
 “I can tell,” you said with a smile. God, you had such a beautiful smile. “I’m Y/N by the way.” You shifted the box of books into one arm and extended your hand to him. He shook it without thinking about all the germs that might be on it. For the first time in years, the thought never crossed his mind. Maybe it was because you were different than other people. Other people were germy and even the thought of touching their hands revolted him enough to spit statistics at them, lectures on how he would rather kiss a stranger on the lips than shake their hand if given the choice. The touch of your hand made him want to melt.
You stood in silence for a few seconds, smiling at each other politely. Spencer began to rock on the balls of his feet slightly, usure of what else to do. He should not be feeling nervous, but he was
 “Well, let me know if you need anything,” you said finally and leave the aisle.
 As soon as you were out of sight, Spencer rubbed furiously at his eyes. What was that? He interviews serial killers for a living but can’t have a coherent conversation with someone he likes? No, I don’t like them, he assured himself. Liking someone means going on dates and doing other things with them, and Spencer does not do that. He ignores the persistent voice in his head telling he would actually very much enjoy doing those things with you.
 A small purring object presses against the bottom of his pant leg, tickling his ankles. He looks down and sees the cat, rubbing his body against him. Spencer bends down and pets the top of his head, absently wondering if you had noticed that his hands had been shaking during the 30-second interaction. He looks back down at the cat and sees that they’re wearing a collar, Bastet it reads. Spencer smiled to himself. There seemed to be something unignorably adorable about naming a bookstore after your cat, and naming your cat after the Egyptian god of cats. Spencer liked the idea that there was someone just as nerdy as him.
 He gave Bastet a quick kiss on the top of the head and left the aisle. He turned right to go to the cash register but stopped when he saw who it was. Scraggly beard guy was gone, and instead, you were chatting with a customer as you bagged their items. Immediately, Spencer’s heartbeat picked up once again, and the butterflies returned to his stomach. Stop. He told himself. I will not let you get nervous over someone you don’t even like. When it was his turn, he put The Secret History on the counter and pulled the bills out of his wallet.
 “Spencer, long time no see.” you joked. You scanned his book and took the bills from his hand. He would be lying if he said his heart didn’t jump when your soft fingers grazed his.
 Spencer forced himself to return the laugh even though he felt like throwing up. Why did he feel like throwing up? He avoided eye contact by shuffling the bills around his wallet until you returned the book to him. You opened your mouth to say something, but Spencer cut you off with a hasty, “Have a nice day!” before speed walking out of the store. He told himself it was because he didn’t want to hold up the line with another conversation, but he knew deep down if he looked at you for one second longer he would say things that were not rational, and Spencer was always rational.
---
That night when Spencer tucked himself into bed and opened up the book, his receipt fell out of the first page and onto his chest. Only the receipt had something written on it in neat blue ink.
 Spencer,
I’m not sure how to say this, so I’ll let someone better at words than I am say it instead (I’m a reader and not a writer for a reason). Read the poem "A Stranger" by Lang Leav. It’s one of my favorites and every time I read it, I find myself thinking of you.
-         Y/N
 But Spencer didn’t have to read the poem, because he’s read it many times before. And every time he did, he found himself thinking of you. He smiled as he finally welcomed the butterflies and racing heart wholly at the thought of your name. And before he drifted off to sleep, he recited the poem in his head, and with every line he thought, a new butterfly appeared.
 There is a love I reminisce,
Like a seed
I've never sown.
 Or lips that I am yet to kiss,
and eyes
not met my own.
 Hands that wrap around my wrists,
and arms
that feel like home.
 I wonder how it is I miss,
these things
I've never known.
 Maybe falling in love, was not so scary after all.

good evening everyone. im going to vent for a moment. feel free to ignore this
as you all know, im so far up frank iero’s ass that its embarrassing. as such, i was excited about the pencey prep merch and very prompt when it dropped. i completed my order one minute after the merch went on sale. kingsroad frustrates me, but in the past the only issues i had were just super slow processing time and expensive shipping and inexplicable sawdust on my vinyl (????) . it would take a month to get my shit. for pencey stuff, krm explicitly said all items would ship on or before the 27th of november, but when that day arrived, krm quietly removed that notice from order status and let people know that they didnt even have the fucking vinyl yet. there was some noise on twitter about krm changing or cancelling people’s orders. i dont really know; i dont hang out on twitter.
so finally. fucking finally. all my friends get shipping updates and whatever or receive their actual purchases. but mine hasnt processed yet? at this point its been almost a month since the merch went on sale and i bought it. so then krm announces that they didnt order enough medium size hoodies and theyre substituting mediums for larges or whatever. doesnt affect me; im fucking fat so i didnt order a medium or a large moss forjamia didnt receive their hoodie or even an email explaining the shortage substitution but thats a different rant for a different person to give. so i email customer service and im like Why Hasnt My Shit Processed Yet? Everyone Else Already Received Their Order. and after longer than the acceptable 3-5 business days needs for a response to a customer service inquiry, krm finally lets me know this morning that the shirt i ordered (not even the fucking hoodie or vinyl, which they seemed to have been having inventory issues with since the merch drop) is backordered. which i find unlikely because, as i’ve already mentioned, im fucking fat so no one orders my size. and their like Sorry We Wont Send You Any Of The Things You Ordered Until That Shirt Is Back In Stock. in the meantime, because krm cant accurately keep inventory, im fully expecting them to give away my Big As Fuck hoodie to someone who got caught up in the shortage of medium hoodies and/or for them to be like Oops We Oversold The Vinyl And It Turns Out That Youre Not Getting One. which. isnt fair obviously because i paid for these items and did so VERY soon after they went on sale. but like. also i would very upset because i really like pencey prep and i really like frank so i want to have merch that reinforces that. in the meantimes, im out a significant amount of money with nothing to show for it.
its been over a month since these items went on sale and over three weeks since krm intially promised to ship out these items and like. i guess i’ll keep waiting for an indeterminate length of time until the tshirt can be restocked, at which point the other two items (one of which will definitely not be restocked, and the other might not be restocked) will be in limbo and/or given to someone else <3 hate it here

Part 2 will be out hopefully within a day or two.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part 2
Yelling. Jewels. Talismans. Booze. Brawls. Food. These were the sights, smells, sounds that created the atmosphere of the marketplace. To many people it was untidy and awful and a place to only go with extreme caution and a guarded coin pouch, but to you it was a sight for sore eyes. It had been months since you had last been to the marketplace since you had been out at sea with your father, Captain Hook, for so long. So, being able to see people who weren’t members of the crew and to smell things that weren't salt water was a bit refreshing.
You strolled down past the tents and tables with ease, smirking a bit when merchants and buyers did double takes to look back at you. As the daughter of Captain Hook, you had quite a bit of a reputation. A fierce fighter, a rebellious punk, a bit of a thief, these were the titles that you had been granted over the years. It wasn’t unlike you to be the cause of some of the brawls seen here in the marketplace. After all, you loved being able to make grown men weep at your feet.
However, that wasn’t the reason you were here. No, your stroll had purpose to it. You weren’t here to sight see or fight. You were here for a certain somebody, and that somebody was sitting at a table underneath a faded blue tent, polishing a blood red gem on an ornate necklace.
The woman looked up as you walked over, slowly setting the necklace down with a sly grin. You knew every item on that table was stolen, from the large silver mirrors to the smallest spoon.The woman was tall, skinny, and rather beautiful with long hair. She, of course, knew of her attractiveness and used it to her advantage. Fools were made of men when they saw her smile. This was something you both had in common. Another thing was the shining e/c color in your eyes.
“Hello mother,” you spoke with slight boredom in your tone.
“Hello daughter,” she said as she straightened out her collection of rings. “What have you brought?”
This was how it always was. A curt greeting before she went back to business. You sighed as you dropped a bag of various trinkets you had picked up from your months long voyage. She dived into the bag, picking at the items like a vulture. There were several things such as combs, bracelets, even a gold tooth that you had taken after you punched it out of a man dumb enough to whistle at you.
You roll your eyes as she mutters to herself, criticizing most things and being silent when she actually likes something. She’ll try and sell all of it regardless, but this was still the reason why you tended to avoid your mother for long periods of time instead of being with her like a normal daughter. You were the product of an unfortunate one night stand between your mother and father many years ago. Your mother regretted it, and your father regretted your mother. Not you, though. You, he wouldn’t trade for all of the riches of the world.
“You know, I heard there was a ship out not far from here rumored to be stocked with valuables,” your mother stated with an evil look in her eyes. “Might be worth looking into.”
“Yeah,” you said with a sneer. “Do more work for you when you don’t even appreciate what I bring you.”
She stared back at you blankly, boredom replacing the mischief in her e/c orbs. You sighed and shook your head before turning on the heel of your buckled boots, walking away from her. She knew she probably wouldn’t see you for another few months, hell she might never see you again, but she said no words. After all, you were nothing more than a reminder of a night she desperately wanted to forget. Of a man she desperately wanted to forget.
You stalked back down the aisles you had walked over just mere minutes before. You ignored the faces of the onlookers as you walked, one step, then another, your mind anywhere but the marketplace now. Your mother always had that effect on you. You hated it.
Before you knew it you had walked yourself back down to the docks. You gazed around you lazily. You could see your father and his crew as they restocked the Jolly Roger with supplies for the next voyage. Near them was another ship. A very expensive looking ship. Your mother’s words rang in your ears and an idea sang with them. A very bad idea, but also a fun one. So of course you acted on it. You began to walk towards the ship, hands in the pockets of your coat as you walked with confidence. Nobody questioned you as you strutted right up to the ship and onto the deck. Nobody ever did. You always managed to make it look like you belonged in places you had every reason not to.
The deck didn’t have a speck of dirt on it. You saw why when you noticed the man mopping a few feet away. You chuckled softly as you moved swiftly towards the hatch that led to the hold under the deck. Even the wood of the hatch was smooth as you lifted it up to step down the stairs.
It was darker down in the hold. The smell of the sea and of rum filtered through the air as you crept down the hallways. You figured you wouldn’t find much of interest down here and you were right as you walked past boring supplies and sleeping areas for the crew. No. The real score would be in the Captain’s Cabin. You were sure of it.
You turned back the way you came and walked back up to the deck. Gaining back your confident-walk-of-purpose, you moved towards the Captain’s Cabin. Hardly anyone was around to see you as you picked the lock on the intricately carved door with a couple of hairpins. It swung open easily and you walked in quickly, closing the heavy door behind you.
When you turned back around to look at the room, your eyes were blown wide. It was packed with things like maps and swords and chests that you were sure were filled with gems and fine clothes and who knew what else. A hammock hung in the corner and a large dark desk sat in the middle of the room, a map laid out with a knife in it. You knew you had to be quick. The Captain could be back any moment and you were sure you had been gone far longer than your father would have allowed.
You crept along the wood floor adorned with colorful rugs with the grace of a master thief, which you were. You began to pocket things. A scroll, a fountain pen, a gold chain. They all went into your knapsack. As you reached the desk, you looked at the knife stabbed into the map. It was a gorgeous little thing, silver blade with a black hilt adorned with gems of various colors and sizes and a handle grip of black leather. Naturally, you pulled it out of the wood and slipped it into the sheath you had strapped to your thigh. It was only then that you looked at the map. Neverland. You had heard of that place. Your father told you stories of the dark forests, dreaded mermaids, cruel boys, and the evil boy king. Why would these pirates be heading there?
Before you could fathom an answer, you felt a lurch that made you stumble slightly. Your eyes widened as you ran towards the porthole window that occupied a great portion of the wall. Your fears were confirmed when you saw the dock getting farther and farther away by the second, the Jolly Roger fading in the distance.
Maybe you could still make it. You could probably swim that far, right? You carefully exited the Captain’s Cabin unnoticed by the crew now swarming the deck, and walked briskly to the edge of the main deck. As you were bracing yourself to jump, a shout rang out drawing your attention.
“Ready yourselves!” came the gruff voice of a man standing near the wheel. He was holding something small between his fingers. “Today, we conquer Neverland!”
At this, the crew cheered and hollered while beating their fists and swords in the air. It was that moment that you noticed what it was the man was holding. Fear and astonishment gripped you as you ran as fast as you could to the side of the ship, but it was too late. By the time you reached the edge, he had dropped the magic bean into the water, and you were gone.
————————
So, you weren’t in the best situation. The ship had landed a bit away from the shore of Neverland and you discovered that the man who had dropped the bean was the Captain. Captain Bart, to be precise. And you, well, after crying out “No!” in a fit of frustration it didn’t take long for you to be discovered. You were now sitting in a cell deep within the hold after trying to fight off a majority of the crew, and it was awful.
The cell was small, damp, and smelled. The occasional rat would run by, but you didn’t mind that much. It was better than being lonely. They had taken back all of the items you had stolen except for the knife. The idiots were too busy admiring the strings of your corset to notice the gemmed hilt. So, here you were, using said knife to carve obscene and profane phrases into the rotted wood.
You had been sailing around in circles for hours now. It was boring and you desperately wanted to get out and see the island despite all of the warnings your father had given you. There were guards stationed outside your cell, two of them. From the stench coming through the cell door, you could tell they were drinking. By nightfall you’d make your escape. It was only a matter of time. You leaned back into your corner more, watching the world outside of your small window.
————————
Drunk pirate song and the twinkling light of stars. That was your signal as you stood and stretched, getting out your hairpins as you sauntered over to the door. You stood and waited for a second to listen to the slurred lyrics and snoring coming from the pirates outside. A smirk crawled its way onto your face as you picked the lock.
The door slowly creaked open, the pirate who was awake looked at you in confusion. Before he could open his booze stained mouth, you had elbowed him in the jaw, knocking him out. You dusted off your hands and, after making sure the pirates had nothing of value on them, went on your way to the top deck.
Most of the crew had disappeared down into the hold to sleep. The ones that were left on the deck were all busy with some job or with drinking. What was with pirates and drinking? You wrinkled your nose at them as you moved towards the edge of the ship. You weren’t going to fail this time.
The water was dark and ominous below you. The wind pulled at your puffed sleeves and skirt. It felt like danger, and you were living for it. With one last look behind you, you jumped into the water.
The first thing that shocked you was the cold. It was the kind of cold to go straight through your skin to your bones and hold on until you couldn’t move. The next thing was the visibility. There wasn’t any. The last thing was the sound. It wasn’t the muted sound of the waves as they pulled at you. It was laughter. Cruel, sharp, femine laughter. It wasn’t until a hand with claws grabbed onto your ankle that you remembered about the mermaids.
You were being dragged down. The cold left you powerless. Another clawed hand on your calf. Another on your arm. Another. Another. You couldn’t move. You needed air. The only thing you could feel through the cold was the claws and your lungs. As you fought for your life a thought graced your mind: Would your father find out what happened to you? Would your mother? Would she care?
You barely realized that you had been thrashing against them until you felt the scaly hand around your wrist let go. You grabbed for the knife at your thigh, fumbling with frozen fingers. The handle was heavy in your hand as you swung it, the shrieks from the mermaids assaulting your ears. You kept swinging and swinging, trying not to black out as you stabbed at them. You kicked with your now free feet, rising. Rising towards air, to safety.
When your head broke the surface and you drank in the salty sea air, you laughed in triumph. It was a breathy, weak, barely there laugh, but a laugh nonetheless. You turned around and looked towards shore. It wasn’t too far away, but you needed to get out of the water quickly before another mermaid came by or you froze to death. You started swimming towards shore.
By the time you got there, you couldn’t feel your legs or your arms, or any part of you for that matter. You dragged yourself across the wet, gritty sand, your body feeling a million times heavier than normal. The sand clung to your skin as you collapsed from exhaustion. You were battered, bruised, tired, but you had made it. You had gotten free.
A sigh of relief left your frozen lips, but the snap of a twig took it right back. You shakily lifted your head and felt your heart sink. Through your half-closed eyes you could see twenty, no, forty figures shrouded in cloaks and villainy. The last thing you saw before you passed out was the figures moving towards you like the shadows from the depths of your darkest thoughts.
————————
It was quiet when you woke up. The kind of quiet that was dangerous, unnatural. You opened your eyes slowly and a low groan of pain escaped your throat. Your muscles ached all over and now that you were warm you could feel the stinging from the mermaid scratches.
As you slowly sat up, you took in your surroundings. It looked as though you were in a cabin of sorts. There wasn’t anything in the small room except for the bed that you lay upon. You gingerly pulled back the fur blankets covering you and stood up, swaying a little.
After gaining your balance, you moved to the door. Locked. You scowled and moved towards the one window on the opposite wall. Shut tight. Great. You were a prisoner yet again. You reached for your hairpins, but they weren’t there. Neither was your bejeweled knife. Or any of your other knives. Those bastards had taken your stuff! You growled out in frustration and tried to open the door again with no success. So, you tried again. And again. Then back to the window. Then the door again.
You didn’t know how long you were in that stupid cabin, but it was definetly long enough for you to start to lose your mind. You had momentarily given up on the window and door as you laid out in the center of the floor, staring up at the wood ceiling like you could summon an exit just by staring.
“Having fun there, love?”
You didn’t want to say that you screamed, but there was definitely an exclamation of surprise as you scrambled to your feet, fists raising into a fighting stance. The speaker was sitting on the bed, a smirk dominating his face.
You know the first thought that should have crossed your mind was How did you get in here? or maybe even Ah! Neverland person! Danger! but no, your first thought just had to be Oh damn because the boy, who was staring up at you with the most amused facial expression ever, was really, really attractive. He wore dark green clothes with knee high boots and his brown hair was a little messy, but you knew from the wickedness of his smile and the devilish look in his eyes who this was.
“Peter Pan,” you hissed.
His eyebrow lifted as he grinned. “So you know who I am.”
“I know of you,” you stated, raising your fists more as he stood. “I’ve heard...stories.”
“Stories from whom? Hopefully friends,” he said with a light chuckle.
You decided it probably wasn’t a good idea to mention your father. You knew they were definitely not friends. “Just talk from people who speak about an arrogant boy who plays king.”
He had started walking towards you, but you kept your footing. He stopped when he was about a foot away from you. You watched as his green eyes looked over your face, and for a horrible second you thought he had recognized you, but instead he just said, “I play a lot of things, love. But on Neverland I really am the king, and you will play by my rules.”
It was your turn to smirk as you took a step closer to him, your chests nearly touching. You knew you should be afraid, be angry, be something, but at that moment all you felt was that you had a new game to play.
“I play by my own rules, Pan,” you whispered. “And you, nor no one else, will ever change that.”
He looked taken aback slightly, but laughed a bit. “Was that a threat, lass?”
“A promise,” you retorted.
He nodded slowly and looked over you with a newfound curiosity. “What’s your name?” he asked after a moment.
You bit your lip slightly before answering slowly. “Y/n. I’m Y/n. Where are my things?”
Pan shrugged, a sly smile gracing his lips. “All in due time, love.”
You glared a bit as he disappeared, vanishing before you could blink.
————————
It had been a few days. Pan would visit you in the cabin, always just randomly appearing inside and then disappearing without ever touching the door. He would bring you your meals during these times, and at one point he even offered to heal your wounds. You had refused, of course. He was the dangerous demon king your father told you stories about. You may flirt with him and engage in playful, witty banter, but you didn’t trust him. Not by a long shot. He did keep you in this stupid cabin all day every day, after all.
That’s what you both were doing right now, actually. Playful insults, batting eyelashes, trying desperately not to look weird as you tore into your lunch.
Pan was laughing lightly at something you had said when he trailed off strangely. You looked up at him with a questioning gaze.
“Something wrong?”
He looked back at you quickly and shook his head slightly. “No. I just decided that I would like to take you into camp today,” he stated with a shrug.
Your eyes widened a little. “You mean I get to leave?”
He rolled his eyes and nodded. “Yes you get to leave. You’ll also meet my boys.” He stood up calmly and brushed off his pants like he hadn’t just given you your freedom.
“Yes!” you cheered as you stood up. “Do I get my stuff back?”
“Maybe.” You hadn’t realized he’d moved behind you until his breath fanned over the back of your neck. “If you behave.”
Naturally, you elbowed him in the gut. Hard. When you turned around, he was doubled over slightly and holding his stomach.
“What the hell, Y/n?” he asked angrily, his eyes flashing darkly. You just shrugged and smiled, knowing he wasn’t going to do anything. If he was, he would’ve done it the first time. Or the fourth.
He sighed deeply and straightened up.  He shook his head at you before turning and walking to the door. Your heart raced a little as you walked closer to him. Finally, this is what you had been waiting for. He grabbed the handle, and it turned without a fight. The door was open.
You rushed out past him, eyes widening in disbelief. There was so much green everywhere. Used to the blue of the sea and tan of the sand, you didn’t think you had ever seen so much green anywhere. Trees and vines covered nearly every inch of the ground. What wasn’t covered was littered with fallen leaves and grass. Birds sang overhead and for a moment you forgot that this was the hellscape of your father’s stories. For a moment, it was an oasis. A place of your dreams, so new yet, strangely familiar.
You hadn’t realized that Pan was already walking ahead of you until you heard him clear his throat. The leaves rustled under your boots as you ran after him, ready for a new adventure.
The cabin wasn’t as far from the camp as you had thought. It only took a few minutes of walking before you reached the area of trampled ground that the Lost Boys called home. There was a fire pit in the center and tents around the perimeter, but most importantly, there were the Lost Boys. The figures who had taken you. You felt a slight twinge of anger towards them, but Pan had already apologized for that earlier when he explained how you had intruded on the island. It didn’t mean you forgave them or that it was okay, but at least he apologized. You also punched him for it, so you were even.
The boys stopped what they were doing when they realized their leader was back. Pan motioned for you to wait where you stood while he kept walking. You, however, didn’t wait and instead walked right behind him much to the astonishment of the Lost Boys who watched you closely.
Pan opened his mouth to speak, but when he noticed he wasn’t the center of attention, he turned and looked at you. You smiled innocently at him as he scowled back. He sighed deeply before turning back to the anxiously waiting crowd.
“Well, boys,” he started with a sharp tone of voice you weren’t used to. “A few days ago you brought me someone who had washed up on our shores. A girl. She has been kept up in the hut for a bit, but now I have decided that it’s time for you guys to meet her. So, everyone, this is Y/n.”
You smiled at the boys as they gawked at you. The younger ones looked up at you in that hopeful innocence that youth holds, while the older ones looked at you in the way that made you wonder exactly how long it had been since they had last seen a girl. Oh boy.
————————
It had been several weeks since Pan had introduced you to the boys, and honestly it was going pretty well. The younger boys adored you, especially Cassie, Parker, and Thomas. Those three were constantly following you around and they always hid with you whenever Pan and the boys played manhunt. They always got you caught, too.
The older boys weren’t bad. Either they respected you or you broke their nose. You were pretty close with Felix, but you were still closest with Pan.
The more time you spent with them, the less and less they seemed like the supernatural demons from the stories of your childhood. Sure, Pan had a temper and oftentimes you would step between him and a Lost Boy before a fight could go too far, but still these boys were children. The monsters that used to haunt your nightmares were just humans.
You liked it on Neverland. Pan had given up on trying to tell you what to do, and instead you did whatever you pleased. You could wander the island as you pleased. You were careful of dreamshade and mermaids, of course, and you didn’t go into the dark forest because you were rebellious, not stupid.
You were planning on going on another escapade today when Pan walked over to you. He sat beside you on the log you had been resting on.
“Can I help you?” you asked as you laced up your boots.
“Yeah. You can take these back. I’m tired of having them clutter my shelves.”
You looked up at him as he handed you a cloth sack. Hope surging through your veins, you tore open the bag. There it all was. Your hairpins, tools, the knife. He had given you your stuff back! About time, too. If he didn't have his cabin so heavily protected with magic, you would have gotten it all back a lot sooner.
You looked back up at him about to say something, but he was already walking away. You frowned a bit as you watched him. He had been uncharacteristically distant lately, hardly talking to you or even looking at you. It saddened you a bit. As hard as you tried not to, you had befriended him. And you tried even harder to stop it, but you also were falling for him.
You sighed as you stood, slipping the knife into your sheath and putting your things back where they belonged. Grabbing some food and shoving it all into your new bag, you headed out of the camp.
You had learned where all the best paths were, the places where the ground was smoothed by years of walking. The path you were on led you through the jungle and down towards the beach. You knew Pan didn’t mind it when you went down to the beach. After all, you never really tried to escape,but you did miss your father and the Jolly Roger.
Loneliness and old memories drifted through your mind as you walked along the dirt trail. Eventually, you reached the beach that you had nearly died to get to so many weeks ago. It didn’t really feel like weeks, though. In a place where time stood still, there was hardly any concept of time at all.
The sand moved under your feet as you walked making it hard to stay upright. You sat down near the edge of the water, just close enough to where the waves could occasionally reach your feet. You sat while hugging your knees close to your chest, thinking.
You thought about your father, how worried he probably was. You thought about the pirates who brought you here, who Pan and the Lost Boys had driven away. You thought about Pan, too. He was acting so strange and you didn’t know why. Lately, you had seen him talking with Felix more so than usual. He often looked angry, or sometimes even confused. You had tried asking him about it once and he snapped at you for eavesdropping. He didn’t mean to, though, and he apologized to you afterward, but it still hurt a bit and was super confusing. Especially since he hardly ever apologized.
Everything about Pan was super confusing. You knew he was capable of evil, hell you’d seen it in the way he yelled at the boys and how they always seemed so hesitant around him, but it never seemed to be to the standard that your father held him to. Was your dad wrong? Or had Pan just changed? What was even more confusing was how you felt about him. You knew you were attracted to him and you hated it. Mostly because you knew he wouldn’t like you back. Felix had told you that Pan wasn’t big on relationships. They made him look soft, and he didn’t want to give his enemies that advantage. At least, that’s what he had told Felix when the second-in-command tried to make a move. Well, at least the blond boy got over him and was now getting it with Pan’s champion hunter, Lucas.
You huffed in frustration as you fell back against the sand. Why did you have to feel so trapped all the time? Every single time you thought you had gained freedom something ruined it. Freedom from your mom? Guilt and feeling obligated to help her. Freedom from your dad? He was protective and you missed him. Freedom from those pirates? Mermaids. Freedom on Neverland? Couldn’t leave. Freedom from the crushing weight of your feelings? Pan. Fucking damn it all to Hell.
“You okay there, love?” Speak of the devil.
You scowled a bit as a shadow blocked out the sun. Pan stood over you and looked down with what seemed like genuine concern. You resisted the urge to punch him.
“Yes, I’m fine,” you answered bitterly. “What do you want? Aren’t you busy discussing whatever with Felix?”
His eyebrows furrowed as he sat down beside you. “What are you talking about?”
“You, Pan. I’m talking about you.” You sat up and glared at him a little. “You with your sneaking off and leaving every time I try to talk to you. You and your conversing with Felix and then yelling at me when I ask about it. You and your stupid eyebrows and being so confusing all the time. Just you!” You shouted and jabbed a finger at his chest.
Now it was his turn to be confused. “Y/n, you know I didn’t mean to yell at you like that. I was just frustrated. And what about my eyebrows?”
You made a noise of frustration and threw your hands in the air. The waves lapped at your feet, their murmurs calming you a little.
You sighed quietly after a moment and turned back to him. “Why have you been avoiding me? And don’t say you haven’t been because yes you have.”
Pan bit his lip slightly and glanced down. You would have said he looked embarrassed if you hadn’t known any better, but then again maybe you didn’t know better. You had fallen for the devil, hadn’t you?
“I didn’t mean to upset you,” he said slowly. “I was just...I was trying something.” From the look on your face he realized this wasn’t the best answer to give and he quickly back peddled. “I mean I was seeing if I was right about something, uh, was figuring something out.”
You rolled your eyes and scoffed at his lousy reply. Of course it was strange to see him stumbling over his words and getting all flustered over whatever it was, but he was still being annoying. Damn him for being cute while doing it, though.
“And what, exactly, were you trying to figure out, Pan?” you asked in a harsh and bored tone.
He waited a moment, perhaps hoping the waves or the wind would answer for him instead. However, nothing came to his aid. Peter Pan was on his own as he faced your stone-cold e/c eyes.
You shook your head and started to get up and walk away when he blurted out the one thing you had expected the least.
“I was trying to figure out if I loved you or not!”
You stopped where you stood, just a few feet away from him but it felt like it was a lot further for some reason. When you turned back around, slowly, Pan was sitting exactly where you left him, but he looked different. You knew he hadn’t changed at all, but now he looked smaller. Vulnerable. Even, if you looked close enough, scared. And he was staring at you with those wide green eyes, waiting.
“What did you just say?”
He swallowed thickly and held your gaze. “I said I was trying to figure out if I loved you or not. And...Y/n I think I do.”
Your breath caught in your throat a bit. He loved you back? What the fuck? You slowly walked back over and sat in front of him. You searched his face, looking for any sign of a trick, a game, but he looked so genuine that you wanted to believe him.
“Do you really mean that?” you asked softly, and he nodded a little bit.
“I think...I might love you, too. Is that weird?”
He smiled and relaxed a bit. “I don’t think so.”
“But what about your reputation? And all that stuff about your enemies?”
He laughed a little and took your hand, and you would be lying if you tried to say there weren’t any butterflies. You weren’t going to say anything about it, but still.
“I think having someone as badass as you by my side makes up for it.”
“So...just to make things official. Are you going to be my boyfriend, Pan?”
“Call me Peter, and only if you’d like me to.”
You smiled softly and gently pulled him over so that you could nestle into his side, and that was an answer enough to him. It felt so right, being there with him. So right, in fact, that you both fell asleep right there on the beach, snuggled into one another’s arms. Who knew Peter Pan was so comfy? Being with him now felt so liberating, and you never wanted it to change. However, neither of you were up to notice when a certain ship sailed out of the fog and towards the shore.
