“yup” i answered before waving to him. he waved back with a big smile on his face.

we continued to follow my mom, introducing matt to more and more people.

“alright, are we gonna introduce him to the entire world ? i think we’re good” i told her, watching as she continued to guide him through the house.

suddenly, a flurry of kids passed us, all running and chasing each other.

one of them, my little cousin, stopped in front of us.

“ who is that ?” she asked me, pointing to matt.

“ this is matt, my boyfriend”

“hi, matt ! wanna play with us?” she asked him with a smile on her face.

he looked at me, silently asking if he should go.

“ don’t look at me, mateo. go, have fun !” i spoke, silently thanking angel for asking him and not me.

“ come on!” she yelled before dragging him away.

“niños, the food is ready” my abuela yelled.

the kids came running into the room, going to sit at the table, before getting stopped.

“ no, lávense las manos” she spoke, being met with several sighs as they left to wash their hands.

“ ¿ dónde estás mateo ?” i asked the children, wondering where matt went.

“he’s with angel still, she was teaching him spanish. he tried to ask me what my name was and it sounded like he was asking if i was a llama instead”

my mom bursted out laughing at that.

“it’s ok though, he’s my favorite white boy ” he said before running to wash his hands.

“dios mío” i sighed out. “let me go get this man”

when i found the two of them, i stood in the doorway, watching angel talk to him.

“ mi novia es bonita” she spoke to him.

“mi novia es bonita” he repeated. “my girlfriend is pretty”

“good, mi novia es una princesa” she said.

“mi novia es una princesa” “my girlfriend is a princess” he said.

“ now if you ever get sad, you can just say that and it’ll help you feel better. she helps me feel better too”

i knocked on the door, letting them know i was there.

“ food’s ready, guys. you hungry ?” they both nodded in response.

“is any of it spicy?” matt asked, eyes widening slightly.

“oh, baby…” i spoke, pursing my lips together.

“it’s ok, mateo ! i’ll tell you what the foods are” angel perked up at the chance to teach him more.

“alright, i’ll be there in a minute” he replied.

angel went to leave, stopping to pull me down to her level.

she looked at matt, before moving her face to my ear, cupping her hands around her mouth, “i like him” she whispered before running off .

“It seems my beloved has finally thought to visit me.”

You cringed from the overpowering metallic scent as you stepped into your boyfriend’s laboratory, trying hard not to look at the borderline gruesome sights on the clinical beds.

Dottore cleaned the blood off a bone saw he was holding, setting the instrument down carefully before walking towards you - eyes lit up, but holding a gleam different to the maniacal one he usually possessed.

“How was your day, my love?” His voice was humorous. He seemed to be in a good mood, humming lightly while opening the door for you.

“It was fine.” You sighed as you felt the weight of Dottore’s harbinger coat settle across your shoulders, registering the touch of his hand as he pulled you into him and away from the Snezhnayan cold.

“Has that coworker of yours still been bothering you?”

“… Don’t try pretending.”

“Whatever could you be talking about?” The Doctor’s grip on you tightened.

“I wouldn’t wish death on anyone, even if they annoyed me to that extent.” You sighed, finally tilting your head to stare into the planes of your lover’s mask.

“Oh, they’re not dead. Rather, they’ve been subject to some biological modifications of an experimental kind - would you like to see?”

You gritted your teeth.

“I’m hungry, don’t make me lose my appetite.”

“Good thing I have a nice place booked for dinner, my love.”

His compliance was almost uncanny.

Normal couples gazed affectionately into each other’s eyes over meat and wine, fingers fondly interlaced over the dining table. And yet, you couldn’t bring yourself to return Dottore’s adoring scarlet gaze, and his hold on your hand felt more like a death trap.

“Is the food to your liking?” He asked. He hadn’t touched any of the vegetables on his plate, only biting into the steak.

“Yes. You should eat greens, too.” You commented.

“Mm. Why don’t you feed me, then?” Dottore only tilted his head, smiling eagerly. Recently, a fear of you being turned into one of the harbinger’s countless experiments had taken hold, and it was this same fear that drove you to play right how he wanted. And so, lifting your fork, you fed him with all the patience you could muster - staring into those deep red eyes, feeling like nothing more than prey. Those eyes would’ve been the last thing many others had seen before their death, the end of their lives marked by that sadistic grin. You almost shuddered at the thought.

Normal couples slept under starry nights reflected in their star crossed hearts as they cuddled close under soft sheets. Normality was such a strange concept, you decided. Despite the fact that you were doing just what normal couples should, the situation was still absurd. However, your fear of becoming another one of the harbinger’s lab rats wasn’t unfounded. You mulled over this fact, almost snorting at the juxtaposition. Here you were - wondering if the man who cradled you in his arms would strap you down to a table in the name of research.

“My love, are you still awake?” You felt Dottore’s breath ghost over your neck, his face pressing into your nape. With a rustle, he readjusted the blanket over your shoulders.

“Yeah, I can’t sleep.”

“Nightmares, perhaps? I have a pill you can use for those.”

“No, just… thinking.” You squirmed in Dottore’s hold. His comment only reignited your spiralling train of thought, pushing you further to the point of resolve.

If he could kill his clones - literal versions of himself - then what would stop him from doing the same to you? Even if you remained alive, would you have to continue to tolerate being exposed to such grotesque horrors?

It was simply better to break things off, before you no longer had the option to.

Breakfast.

The first meal of the day, and the last meal you’d share with your boyfriend.

“Dottore.”

“Yes?” The Doctor’s head jerked up immediately from where he was chewing. You could feel the undivided weight of all his attention sinking into you, and for a moment, you faltered. He was notorious for paying little mind to anyone else, and yet, he treated you with the utmost attentiveness. You steeled your resolve.

“I think… we should break up.”

Silence. Then, the grating scrape of cutlery against crockery.

“Why.”

Not a question, more of a demand. You gulped.

“Do you want me to be honest with you?”

“Yes. Is it something I did?”

“I can’t bear your experiments anymore, Dottore. They’ve gone too far, and I don’t think I can stomach living normally with you as if I don’t know the kind of things you do. Even worse, every day I’m wary that I might be your next test subject - whenever I walk into your lab, I wonder when I’ll be the one under your needles. It’s exhausting.”

Another beat of silence. You could see Dottore’s chest rising and falling at an increasingly fast pace, his jaw tensing.

“I would never, ever do that to you. It’s ridiculous that you’d even think that, and as for your prior reason… I can arrange for you to come to the lab less often…”

“So you’re just going to cover my eyes and act like you’re not doing anything with those experiments? I just can’t be ignorant here, nor can I trust you. If you can get rid of your clones so easily, then what am I? What value do I hold-“

“Those creations do not even compare to you.” Dottore finally snapped, slamming his hand down on the table. You flinched, and he felt as though his lung capacity had been halved. His head spun in tandem with the rapid tightening of his heart, his mouth twisting into a scowl.

It hurt Dottore, realising that you didn’t trust him. That all those fond, intimate memories together were just you acting out of fear - or at least, the most recent ones were. It hurt, beyond anything Dottore thought he could inflict on his patients. And even worse, you were frightened of him. The light shaking of your shoulders and the way you flinched were enough indication.

The Doctor enjoyed seeing his victims become terrified, but that same terror on you almost made him feel like he’d been the one stabbed with a scalpel. Foolishly, he’d fallen victim to his own maniacal research tendencies.

“Listen, I didn’t mean to scare you. I just meant to say… that you can trust me.” Dottore raised his hand towards you to cup your cheek, wincing when you avoided the action.

“I tried to, I really did. But I don’t think I can do it anymore.”

“My love, please.”

The second harbinger was begging. What a strange sight.

“Let me go, Dottore.” You murmured shakily. You saw hesitation, hurt, and anger flit through those vermilion eyes you’d used to love. But that love you held for him had only smouldered into disgust and fear.

“… Then go. Get out of my sight.” Dottore hissed, his teeth clenching at the wary expression on your face.

It was painful, how you walked out without a second glance.

“My love…” Dottore whispered. He stared at the closed door, almost expecting you to return. He repeated the phrase, over and over to himself - his face contorting into an expression he himself couldn’t name. Was there truly an emotion as human as this? It was a twisted, unimaginable feeling the Doctor couldn’t categorise. The syllables came off his quivering lips, as though by uttering them he could make you come back.

But the truth was, your not-so-normal relationship was over. Perhaps, Dottore would return to the normality of his heartless experiments, and you’d return to the normality of a better fate than one you’d endure by his side.

He only regretted not being able to hold you more.

ZHONGLI

There were only two letters between you and your lover, but those two letters seemed to stretch wider every day - ‘I’, and ‘M’. The seemingly infinite synapse between mere ‘mortal’, and ‘immortal’.

Zhongli was undeniably a mortal vessel, but he as a being was not. He’d lived eons before you, loved and hated thousands. He’d experienced things you couldn’t even fathom, and yet, you couldn’t comprehend how he treated you as though your fleeting existence was the centre of his much larger world.

Whenever you looked into Zhongli’s amber eyes, heard his deep laugh, or felt his gentle caress, you could only feel insignificant. After all, he used to be a literal god. You couldn’t help the guilt that gnawed at your conscience, couldn’t stamp out the incessant feeling that he was too good for you, that you couldn’t compare to whatever lovers he’d had in the past.

“How’s the tea, darling?” Zhongli prompted. He sat with his back to the window, basking in an almost ethereal glow.

“Ah, I have yet to try it.” You shook yourself out of your thoughts to raise the cup in front of you. Zhongli only smiled warmly, but the gesture made your hand shake a little. You’d planned to break up with him today, and yet the way he still stared lovingly at you - full of infinite trust - made you feel terrible.

But how many others had he also treated this way? In his life, those others were probably far more special than you, possessing talents far more worthy of a god’s attention.

Suddenly, a shattering sound pierced your ears, and a scalding warmth set into your thigh. You looked down in a daze, before snapping out of it upon realising that you’d dropped the teacup.

“Are you okay?” Zhongli was at your side in an instant, mopping up the spilled tea and collecting the broken fragments of the cup.

“Yeah.” You gritted your teeth again. How dare someone as insignificant as you make Rex Lapis get down on his knees to clean the mess you’d made. It simply made you feel as though you didn’t deserve such a wonderful man at all.

“You’ve been distracted lately. Is there anything I should know about?” Zhongli asked slowly.

“No. Well, yes.” You stammered. You hadn’t planned this out very well, and your heart squeezed tighter.

“Go ahead. You know you can tell me anything, darling.”

A warm hand came to rest against your cheek. You closed your eyes, feeling tears build and slip down your face.

Zhongli wiped at your tears, holding your hands in your lap as he looked up at you worriedly - his thumbs tracing comforting circles on your knuckles. He thought of saying something, before deciding against it. He knew it was better to let you speak first.

“Let’s break up.” You blurted, feeling Zhongli’s fingers come to a complete stop.

“We can work through this, tell me why first. Has something been upsetting you?”

Your tears fell harder. He still showed you so much kindness, never jumping to any conclusions.

“I feel like I don’t deserve you. You’re too good for me, it makes me feel guilty that someone like me can have you.” You sobbed.

“Darling, you know it makes me happy to just spend time with you. That in itself is fair exchange, no?”

“But what makes that so special? You’ve lived for so long, you could’ve done this with anyone else, and you probably have. Who am I in comparison to someone like Guizhong?”

Through your blurred vision, you could still see Zhongli’s form kneeled by your side. He seemed to be choosing his next words carefully.

“You and her are both special, in your own way. Why don’t you calm down a little first? I can pour you some more tea.”

“I’m so selfish, Zhongli. I really don’t think I can stay with you.”

“Do you really want to leave that badly?”

Your heart twisted. You didn’t want to leave. You wanted to stay in his warm embrace, his soft understanding gaze. And yet, you couldn’t bring yourself to.

“… Yes.”

“Very well then. You know I won’t stop you, because I just want what’s best for you.”

The light grip on your hands released, and as you stood up everything seemed to spin.

“Thank you… for everything.” You murmured, stealing one last glance at the man you loved - before leaving.

Zhongli remained where he was for some time. In his life, many things came to an end, but this hurt a little more. When Guizhong had left him, it was due to her passing - the youthful Rex Lapis had found someone to blame, to ventilate his grief. But the most crude fact in this situation was that you were still alive, and had chosen to leave him of your own volition. Zhongli himself had made this happen.

However, an archon’s most prized trait was impartiality. Therefore, Zhongli knew that he had to maintain indifference. He refused to let himself chase after you, or force you into anything. It was only unfair, if an immortal were to impose such a fate onto a mortal.

And so, he could only watch as you faded from his life, like the cyclic ebb of waves on an ocean shore.

Horror movie hot takes // Matt + Chris

Again, I’m sorry that this is not my proper writing, but don’t worry! My breeding kink oneshot is on its way, I gotchu guys ;) I’m hopefully going to be dropping it some time in the middle of the week, so this is just some light and fun reading to do until then whilst you wait - if you want of course… pls humour my stupid ideas lol.

Thank you to whoever suggested this because I’ve been dying to give u guys my breakdown. Horror is one of my FAV genres, idk why, I just love scaring myself. Also, I don’t have just one to share with u guys, but three different options each because it’s such an expansive genre with so many probable things to pick from. You guys can probably tell that I have way too much fun with these things… (Plus they’d look good in multiple different genres and I rlly wish I could add more but I don’t want these to get too long bc they’re meant to be hot takes).

Obviously, a couple of the pictures I’ve used for the visuals may be potentially triggering as they contain blood and other disturbing bits of paraphernalia, so please if you’re squeamish, proceed with caution!!

But anyways…

Matt:

First up Matt’s most likely to star in some type of rural corn maze horror. I’m thinking proper Southern gothic style, low quality, out in the sticks and with only a small population in the farming town where he resides.

I could so see the storyline following the main character who moves to this place, but very quickly gets that sinking feeling in her stomach that there’s something not right about the town, from the way the locals look at her to the way Matt speaks when she first arrives. There’s got to be that cliché plot line where something suspicious is afoot, something that she wants to unearth.

Matt’s character gives off creepy neighbour vibes, like the kind that watches the main character from behind his curtains as she unloads the moving truck. This Matt is properly country too, from the cowboy boots on his feet to his red flannel shirt and his shotgun that he randomly carries around because he’s a sheep farmer (do I envision him using his country accent, yes, yes I do).

Long story short, the rural town isn’t just a town, it’s actually a cult, and the reason the farmers rear cattle and mind sheep is so that they can conduct ritualistic sacrifices with them.

(I lowkey wish this was a movie I’d eat this kind of twisted shit up)

For his second movie I’m absolutely obsessed with the idea of putting him in a domestic psychological thriller- so proper stalking vibes. I’m thinking something like ‘You’ but almost making him a more extreme version of Joe Goldberg.

Possibly he’s maybe the main character’s co-worker, who takes the secret affection he has for her a little too far? Or even just an absolutely psychotic ex that refuses to let her go… In short this is the kind of movie that doesn’t quite give you that exhilarating rush of jump-scares, but instead tries to make you as physically uncomfortable as possible with an absolutely horrific instrumental soundtrack playing underneath it.

I’m not sure why I chose this branch of horror, but something about the way Matt looks just really did it for me, it’s so difficult to explain but his physical appearance fits the overall image of someone with an obsessive attitude towards a loved one.

Three words. Found footage horror. These kind of horror movies scare me the most because of that idea of it being ‘found footage’. Equally, ‘based on true story’ horrors also mildly unsettle me just because of that idea that it’s been reimagined from a real life event.

Matt’s found footage is giving ‘The Blair Witch Project’, I can defintely see him out in the wilderness with a bunch of his really close friends, all with camcorders in their hands as they document their time camping in the woods. Until everything goes terribly wrong. And they get lost. And are picked off one by one until Matt is the only one standing.

There is no soundtrack this time, just heavy breathing, crunching leaves underneath running footsteps, the sound of the wind in the trees and the occasional blood curdling shriek of whatever is hunting them down.

(I should seriously become a director lmaoo)

Chris:

Now onto Chris… most people often think Chris would thrive in a classic 90’s slasher flick- like ‘Scream’ or ‘Friday the 13th’ which I’m not going to argue against because he really would look great in one. It fits his overall vibe of being the jock boyfriend that is one of the first ones to die after him and his girlfriend stupidly break off from the group to ‘fool around’.

HOWEVER, I personally think that a game show gore horror is more his speed, it fits his skill set better. I feel like Chris would be really versatile in this kind of high-pressure environment and I’d honestly love to see him in a franchise like the ‘Saw’ movies (I want to hear him whimpering in pain) -WHAT…? Who said that??

This Chris is just an ordinary guy who works an ordinary but depressingly mundane job that does not come with the best pay… so what happens when he gets an ad mailed through his letter box promising money to whoever volunteers to try out this new and exciting game for a reality tv show? Well it’s simple, Chris would do anything for a dollar, so he signs up- not taking into account at all about how advertisements like this aren’t normally personally mailed to a person and that quite possibly this letter had actually been specifically targeted to people who were known to be in desperate need of some spare change.

The result? A wicked sadist trapping these poor people into machines and torturing them for his own personal gain.

(Fuck I love this idea)

This next one is a bit of a curve ball but roll with me here… a deep sea horror. Fun fact about me, I have horrible thalassophobia, and a severe fear of sharks (I know, stupid) but I can’t help it lol, they terrify me. However, still rolling with the overall cocky/jock/playboy characterisation of Chris, I could definitely picture him being some form of deep sea diving protege that’s a cave diving expert.

He’s a side character in the thriller that is called in when they need help with locating whatever monster lurks beneath the waves. Due to his speciality in the field, he’s one of the best, and co-leads a team of divers through a cave to see if they can sus out its location.

This Chris likes to wear a lot of blue things, and he’s constantly either smugly chewing on gum or is biting a toothpick within his teeth with an air of superiority about him. The soundtrack helps with the overall gritting suspense of the movie and keeps you on the edge of your seat constantly with jump-scares around every corner.

And finally, who the fuck would I be if I didn’t rope Chris into a zombie/pandemic apocalypse horror? Because this kind of movie has Chris written all over it, real TWD style. For some reason, within the whole horror genre in its entirety Chris fits the branch of gore horror the best, blood, guts and big spectacles of action packed violence. You name it, Chris looks like he could be apart of it.

In an apocalypse kind of situation, Chris would definitely be either a side character who you meet maybe about half way through the series - possibly from some other rival gang that threatens to steal your weapons - or one of the original main characters that have survived thus far. His weapon of choice is definitely either a trusty crowbar, or a classic metal baseball bat, something that he can really swing and satisfy his frenzied killing needs with.

Aesthetics wise, he wear a black bandana to keep the hair out of his face, a white tank top and army green cargo shorts. Pair them with some heavy duty black boots and you’ve got yourself a mighty attractive apocalypse survivor to spend the rest of your shortened life span with.

Author’s notes: someone needs to take my phone AND my imagination away from me immediately at this point, it’s too powerful when they’re put together. I get wayyyy too carried away with this shit lol. I have such a vivid imagination it’s insane to me, I be writing whole ass screen plays for these Jesus Christ. But anyways, I wanna see those two in a horror movie so fucking bad (if you couldn’t tell hehe). Or maybe just watch a horror movie with them… like- dw baby boy I’ll hold your hand at the scary bits hahahaha.

Propaganda for Sanji x Luffy:

I don't think anyone is gonna bother denying the fact that WCI is literally just the plot of an otome isekai shoujo manga/manhwa. MC (main character) is treated like trash by family except for the 1 dead mom and 1 nice sympathetic supporter that can't do much of anything to help. MC escapes only to find themselves in an even worse situation somewhat of their own making, only to be swept off their feet by the ML (male lead) and saved, full damsel in distress style. Dramatic love confessions, crying in the rain, betrayal from an arranged marriage, it has it all.

Dude Luffy loves Sanji so so much like WCI is the best example and like you don't even really need to see the love as romantic if that bugs you but dudes. The first words out of the Luffys Shadow Possessed Oars was yelling for Sanji. He just loves Sanji so much and Sanji loves him too

The WCI arc in itself is mega SanLu propaganda. Luffy invaded an emperor’s territory, completely crashed a wedding, went up against Sanji’s evil science family, and got nearly beat to death by Sanji himself all in order to get Sanji back. Sanji offered his life to Kuma at thriller bark so Kuma wouldn’t kill Luffy. He pushed himself for 2 years all in order to get stronger FOR Luffy. Sanji feels sorry when he isn’t useful, the whole reason why he used the raid suit those few times was because he was thinking about getting stronger for Luffy, but realized that he didn’t want to become an emotionless monster like his family. Sanji broke down in tears at WCI when he tried to get Luffy to go away by fighting him. And then broke down in tears again when he ran back to Luffy and told him he wanted to go back home to the Sunny. No matter what Sanji cooks, Luffy always likes it and is proud to have him in his crew. Sanji is also one of Luffy’s “wings”, as stated by Robin! They’re both just so sweet and clearly care very deeply about each other.

Luffy saving Sanji on whole cake island got to me

[Insert everything that happens between them during WCI] how could I see luffy yelling about how he won't eat anything and will starve- LUFFY OF ALL PEOPLE- unless Sanji comes back and not ship them at LEAST a little. "Without you I can't become the pirate king" absolutely devastating cinema. Then Sanji laying out everything, in tears, and Luffy accepting it all and just saying, "well that's who you are" poetic. Final wci thing: luffy hearing judges bs about sanji and going "whyd he start listing all your good point" true love. This seems one sided but Sanji is also just as bad. "Which version of me do you prefer" anyone? They care SO MUCH about each other. Also Luffy loves to eat, Sanji loves to feed people, they're meant to be.

*gestures at the entirety of WCI* I mean that’s Love, they are Ride or Die, Luffy cannot become the pirate king without Sanji, whether that means physically because he needs Sanji’s support or just because being the pirate king means Luffy has everything he wants and what he wants is Sanji or both. And Sanji loves him just as much back! He’s his sun he’s his world…Luffy jump and Sanji’s too busy skywalking to bother asking how high. I just love them sm

My fav somewhat rare pair. I specifically love on skypiea when Sanji sacrifices himself to save Usopp from Enel. (And of course the scene when they wake up from their injuries holding hands!!!!)

Y/N and Annie were always friends, best friends actually. Even when y/n was away at university half way across the country and Annie was at hers they found ways to always meet each other on holidays.

It was New Years Eve, their senior year of college. Annie was basically begging her friend for a chance to meet a hot guy at her campus to take out for a midnight kiss at a party.

Y/n hadn’t known many guys she’d consider to be her friend's type, well other than her own crush Wonwoo.

Wonwoo was in her major, a tall reserved nice guy, who at first glance most girls would just pass off as another business major. But, behind the rims of his various glasses, he was soft and handsome. Y/n always knew her dream was to find a way to get him to ask her out or maybe muster up enough courage to do it on her own.

“Y/n you must know at least like two hot guys, this is a fancy ass stuffy uni. I saw at least five at the coffee shop this morning.”

“I mean, if you’re into that. Sure. Maybe you should’ve asked one of them.”

“What about you? Don’t you want your final college new years experience to be full of fireworks?”

“Technically it already will be. Fireworks are kind of the thing on new years.”

“Ha-ha, funny.”

Taking a spot on the bench outside of your dorm, Annie was scoping the area for two handsome enough men to ask out for the night.

“Them.”

“What? Them?”

A wave came from across the quad as Wonwoo and his friend Woozi approached y/n’s familiar face.

“You know them? They’re perfect, why are you hiding them on me?”

“Oh, well they don’t really party. Either of them actually, more like video games and take out types.”

“Come on, don’t lie to me.”

“I’m dead serious. I’ve seen them drink probably once?”

“That’ll change, watch.”

The boys finally reached their destination, standing in front of you and your friend who was twirling her pink bubble gum around her manicured finger.

“Hey, y/n”

“Hi guys, what are you up to-“

“Y/n aren’t you going to introduce me to your friends?”

“I was getting to that, yes. Annie, this is Wonwoo and Woozi, Wonwoo, Woozi this is Annie.”

“Wow, your name is Woozi, that’s interesting. What does it mean.?”

She had it all wrong, she assumed Woozi was Wonwoo and vice versa, but seeing the two guys laugh a little at her attempt to flirt was some sort of win for you all on its own.

“Uh, actually I’m Wonwoo, this is Woozi.”

“Jihoon actually, Woozi’s a nickname.”

“Oh so cool, so Wonwoo and Jiwoozi, what are your plans for the night?”

You noticed Jihoon’s expression changed when he realized Annie was only interested in talking to them because she wanted a chance with his friend.

“Annie, they’re probably busy.”

“No actually, we got invited to a party at Gillies Bar, Seungkwan must have told you about it?”

“Yeah, y/n. Come on, let’s go with them.”

Annie knew you had kept the party a secret from her, she was unsure why since it was a tradition for you.

“We can pick you guys up at y/n’s room around 8? If that’s cool.”

“That’s amazing, see you later tonight.”

Annie blew a kiss to the tall male and pulled you along to your dorm.

“Why didn’t you tell me about them?”

“Like I said they’re normally busy and not into parties.”

“If you like Wonwoo you can tell me. I won’t go for him.”

“Oh, no it’s fine. We’re just friends.”

“Alright, amazing. His friend is handsome too you know, maybe you should go for him. He’s more your style, subtle, you know?”

“Right.”

Sitting on the semi lofted bed, covered in your favorite throw blanket you sat and watched Annie try to find the perfect outfit rifling through your mountain of clothes.

“Oh my god, I love this top. Can I wear it? Or do you want to wear it? I mean red goes way better with my skin tone, but it would look nice on your body.”

“You’re good, I’m going to just wear whatever.”

“No way, you have to wear something hot. Empress Jiwoozi or whatever.”

“Jihoon.”

“Yes, him. Let me help you.”

“I don’t need help. I have something in mind.”

“Aw, my girl is all grown up.”

Something about that night changed the trajectory or your plan, well the plan you had made up in your head about how your life would turn out. Maybe if you were just honest about your feelings for Wonwoo yourself you’d never be in the position of being the maid of honor in their wedding party.

You were happy planning their engagement party, but you couldn’t help but feel delusional almost like you were planning your own party for yourself and Wonwoo.

The night was perfect, white lilies, a champagne fountain, everyone dressed in black and white to leave room for the future bride and groom to be dressed to the nines, when it was over you were left alone with the catering team cleaning up.

That was until Wonwoo came back through the front door of the restaurant.

“Hey, what are you doing here? I thought you guys went home.”

“We did, but Annie was freaking out. She told me she left her bag somewhere.”

“The red Gucci?”

“Yeah, red something.”

“It’s here. I found it a while ago, I was going to call and drop it off but her phone was inside.”

“Oh, you could’ve called me.”

“I didn’t even think of that, well here you go.”

“Y/n, want me to help you clean up? It’s late, there's so much to do.”

“Doesn’t Annie need her purse?”

“She can wait a few more hours, it’s alright. I’ll message her on Instagram, maybe she has her computer open.”

“Alright, sure.”

“Want another drink while we work?”

“I have an open bottle of beer behind you, catch up.”

Wonwoo and you spent a little over an hour finishing your cleaning duties and escaping the restaurant with two stolen bottles of champagne wrapped in brown take out bags, and started walking to your apartment just five blocks away.

“So, you never told me you were such a good party planner.”

“That’s because you never partied until you met Annie.”

“I still don’t like it to be honest. She drags me out most of the time. You never seemed like the party type either. Except for that one time you were singing karaoke at that weird frat party when I met you. What was it? Living on a Prayer?”

“Please don’t bring that up, I’m pretty sure I exclusively remember flashing my underwear to everyone.”

“You did, I remember it well.”

“Ew.”

“No, not like that weirdo. You were just funny that’s all, everyone was so shocked that the perfect student y/n was also a grade a flasher.”

“It was clearly an accident, hence why I do not wear skirts anymore.”

“You should. You looked nice.”

“Okay, what about you? That same night you threw up in the Kim kids room when you were making out with some girl.”

“That’s not at all what happened.”

“Oh really?”

“Yeah, I was actually trying to take a break from the party and some girl followed me into his room and tried to kiss me, but vomit saved the day.”

Laughing with Wonwoo talking about just five years before you were here today, you stumbled up to your stoop attempting to bid him goodnight.

“Actually, do you mind if I use the bathroom, please.”

“No it’s alright, come on.”

While Wonwoo relieved himself in your bathroom, you quickly changed into your pajamas and slippers, needing relief from your heels and buttoned up pants. Not realizing you left your bra resting on the back of your couch.

“Thank you. Oh- you’re ready for bed? I should head out.”

“You left your fly undone.”

“Shit. Actually, do you mind if I just sleep on your couch? My phone died and I don’t have my wallet to get an Uber?”

“That’s fine, yeah.”

“Cool, thank you y/n.”

“Since you’re staying, do you want some hot chocolate or something? I need to have it before I go to bed, especially after drinking.”

“Yeah, I would love some.”

You sauntered into your kitchen, still in view of Wonwoo sitting in his sweater and nice tailored pants on your couch, warming up the two cups of hot milk before dumping the chocolate powder and mini marshmallows on top of the warm liquid.

“Here you are.”

“This smells amazing, thank you. I miss having you make hot cocoa for me and woozi when we would all game at night.”

“How is Jihoon? I haven’t seen him in so long.”

“He’s good. He was supposed to come tonight, but got stuck at work. He wanted to see you.”

“Speaking of gaming by the way, we could play if you want?”

“Are you serious? Annie gets so mad at me when I game at night and don’t come to bed with her.”

“Well she isn’t here so come on.”

“You’re going down, y/l/n.”

“Okay, Jeon.”

Wonwoo and you played various games over the next course of two hours, celebrating you beating him and when he would beat you, just laughing and enjoying your time together over two cups of cold chocolate.

“Oh my god, you’ve gotten worse. I’ve never beaten you in Mario kart before.”

“You cheated.”

“How the fuck could I cheat? You cheated.”

“Wait. You have chocolate on your lip. May I?”

“Yeah, sure. Thank you.”

Wonwoo’s finger gazed over your top lip, rubbing at the small chocolate stain slightly. Looking into his eyes you missed feeling this close to him and that your friend had gotten what you always wanted, like she always did.

You inched closer and closer slowly into his touch and his lips before they crashed into him.

Kissing Wonwoo was a dream you had for years before he had ever gotten with Annie, it made sense.

“Fuck. I’m so sorry, holy shit. Okay, I’m going to go to bed, sleep well and uh- yeah, night.”

“Wait, y/n. Stop. It’s okay.”

“It’s not okay. You’re engaged to my friend, I crossed a huge line.”

“Can I tell you something bad? Well something I know? Annie has been cheating on me for years, with this guy she works with at her firm. I found his boxers in the laundry and I know they don’t belong to me because I’ve worn the same brand of underwear since high school. I looked on her phone and she has texts and calls from a person whose name is just a heart emoji. I don’t want you to think I’m just using you to get back at her, because if I’m honest I always loved you or liked you or whatever. I’ve wanted a chance to break up with her for a long time, but I keep letting her tell me what to do.”

“She’s cheating on you?”

“Yeah, it’s been going on for a long time I think.”

“What the fuck, but you kissing me now doesn’t make up for that you can’t just get back at her with me and then stay with her.”

“I don’t want that. I want to be with you. I always wanted to be with you.”

“I want that too, but you have to break it off with her now. You guys got engaged, you’re going to get married.”

The word hits Bruce like a bullet through the lung. He keeps his face perfectly relaxed, his heartbeat calm and regular, as he realizes (too late, he's always too late) that he should have expected this all along.

“But Bruce isn’t gay?” Clark points out, and there’s an awkward moment of everyone clearing their throats and avoiding Clark’s eyes until he turns to stare at Bruce. “Are you?”

Bruce blinks for a moment before offering a sheepish smile. “I’m not… not?” he offers, and Clark feels his brain just about short-circuit at the news.

Except for the part where Superman hadn't been seen in at least a week and nobody knew why, Lois was acting kind of weird, and Bruce Wayne was insisting that Clark was the only reporter he'd allow to run a feature on the crashed alien ship in the park, since Wayne Enterprises had been granted control of the site. And the way Clark felt every time Wayne looked at him a little too long definitely wasn't helping.

But it was fine. Clark was normal, there was nothing wrong with him, and everything was fine.
