Steyr TMP

The Steyr TMP (Taktische Maschinenpistole/Tactical Machine Pistol) is a 9×19mm Parabellum caliber machine pistol manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher of Austria. The magazines come in 15 or 30 round detachable box types. A suppressor can also be fitted. Though originally intended to be used without a shoulder stock, an optional fixed stock was made available later.

Picture this: it's compact, it's sleek, and it's made by Steyr Mannlicher – those Austrians sure know how to craft some serious firepower. The mags? You've got options, my friend – choose between the 15-round or the 30-round detachable box types. More bullets, more fun, right?

Now, here's the cool part – you can throw a suppressor on this bad boy. Yeah, you heard me right. Stealth mode engaged! Take out the trash without waking up the whole neighborhood.

Steyr SPP

The Steyr SPP (Special Purpose Pistol) is a semi-automatic variant of the TMP intended for civilian Markets. The TMP's barrel and barrel jacket lengths were increased slightly so there is a greater length of protruding jacket and barrel. The forward tactical pistol grip was also removed. It is large for a pistol and is constructed mainly from Polyamide 66. Now, they didn't just slap on an "SPP" and call it a day. The SPP got a bit of a makeover. They tweaked the barrel and barrel jacket, making them a bit longer for that extra oomph. It's all about that protruding jacket and barrel, giving it a distinctive look. So, whether you're in the market for a semi-auto powerhouse or just want to feel like you're wielding the future of pistols, the Steyr SPP is your go-to. It's Austrian, it's purposeful, and it's packing some Polyamide 66 coolness. What more could you ask for in a Special Purpose Pistol?

Brügger & Thomet MP9

in 2001, Steyr decided to pass the torch, or in this case, the design, to none other than Brügger & Thomet. It's like a handoff in the world of guns – a bit like passing the baton in a relay race, but with more firepower.

So, Steyr handed over the blueprints, and Brügger & Thomet took the reins, turning that design into what we now know as the Brügger & Thomet MP9. It's like the TMP's legacy lives on, but with a Swiss twist.

Now, the MP9 isn't your average Joe submachine gun – it's got some serious selective-fire mojo going on. You can choose your flavor of firepower with 15, 20, 25, or 30 round transparent polymer magazines. It's like a buffet of bullets.

So, check this out: the TP9, a semi-auto civilian version of the MP9, decided to play by the rules to cozy up with US firearm import laws. They did a little swap dance – out with the forward grip, in with a snazzy underbarrel MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail, right in front of the trigger guard. It's like the gun got a tactical makeover to fit in.

Imagine it's the rebel cousin – looks like the Steyr SPP but with a twist. No more forward grip, just a slick rail. Gotta hand it to them for adapting and keeping it stylish. Guns with a touch of strategy, right?

Now The Best Part.. Sweet on You.

You could have prepared a perfectly ordinary present for him. Some chocolates, maybe mushrooms, and a flustered declaration of love. Yes, you could have—but where was the fun in that?

It was too easy, too predictable. Too wholesome.

This year, you had made plans to have no plan whatsoever. No stores, no recipes, no muss and no fuss.

On the morning of, you had risen, plucked suspicious mushrooms growing on the back of Ramshackle’s moldy porch, scrubbed them down, then dunked them in a chocolate bath. Once the chocolate had cooled into a thin, durable shell, you had tossed them into a heart-shaped box (praying that they looked presentable) before shuffling off to Octavinelle.

Kneeling behind a couch in the lounge, you patiently waited for Jade’s familiar footsteps to approach. It wasn’t long before they did—tmp, tmp, tmp, each stride matching your heartbeats, almost as though he could sense you near and was purposefully matching you.

Now, while you still have the element of surprise.

You launched out from your hiding place with a war cry, chucking the mushrooms at his face. It was a direct hit, smacking him right in the nose, then sliding down to land in his gloved hands. You had thrown the box with such force that they had left a heart imprint on his handsome face—as though he were a new inductee into Heartslabyul.

Jade blinked.

The look of surprise was very slight on him, his lips setting in a neutral line. But his eyes were what struck true fear into you. The olive and gold irises had been drained dry of their light—but, thankfully, it was quickly returned.

“Oya, I see that we have an unannounced guest paying us a visit today,” Jade remarked in a morbidly even tone. He held out the box of mushrooms to you, paired with a polite smile. “I believe you’ve dropped this.”

You held up a hand to stop him. “Nope, it’s yours! Consider it payback for all the atrocities you’ve committed.”

Jade’s brows furrowed slightly, feigning confusion and concern. “My, whatever could have caused such an unfounded belief to fester in your head? I am nothing if not a humble aide to my peers. To think that I would be deemed a villain for striving to live up to the Sea Witch’s legacy of benevolence… shikushiku…”

He wiped away invisible tears, his expression sagging from sadness.

So that’s the game he wants to play, huh?

You eyed him warily. Jade caught your gaze and grinned knowingly.

“In spite of these baseless accusations directed at me, I must express my gratitude for the gift regardless. I shall open it now. May I?”

He slipped an elegant finger under the ribbon which enclosed the box, gently easing it loose and removing the lid it bound. Row after row of chocolates appeared, earning a dry chuckle. How original, he thought, vigilant so as to not let that sarcasm slip from his lips.

“They’re not mushroom-shaped chocolate,” you hastily clarified. “They’re actual mushrooms dipped in chocolate.”

Understanding settled on his features. “I see. You anticipated that I would find your gift uninteresting, so you sought to subvert my expectations. Fufufu. Oh, how you do keep me guessing.”

He laughed, the quality of it almost lyrical. “I look forward to seeing how you will continue to surprise me. However, I will do my utmost to ‘return the favor’.”

Jade’s smile was heartbreakingly tender. “After all, I, too, wish to see how my dearest reacts when they are disarmed. If the shock of it is too frightening for you to bear, then I invite you to retreat to the comfort of my arms for solace.”

Storytelling and Character Development in Those Old Scientists

As the show that isn’t strictly serialized but also doesn’t have a hard reset button, the Strange New Worlds writers really impressed me with their genre savvy in so many ways with “Those Old Scientists.”

Several characters have very meaningful, not just silly interactions with Boimler and Mariner. The jokes were overwhelmingly good and the SNW crew were funny without acting outrageously out of character.

Except for Spock.

And that’s the part I think is brilliant. We’ve got another silly episode to go before we find out if this is a lasting thing or not, but if Spock experimenting with expressing his emotions is going to be a thing going forward, then SNW deftly anticipated how uncomfortable this was going to make fans and they leaned into it!

Starting this arc, if an arc it’s meant to be, in the midst of a comedy episode threw open the door to telegraphing to the audience what the appropriate reaction was. Which is cringe. Deliberately so. Spock is bad at this. Extremely bad at this. It’s okay to be uncomfortable. That’s what they’re aiming for.

Boimler’s future knowledge about Spock is another meta way of assuring the canon hawks once again that while the Prime timeline is messy at the level of detail, no one intends to screw with the fundamentals. Spock’s flirtation with expressing emotions is a phase.

However, I don’t think it’s just a bit. I don’t think anything in this episode was only for comedy. This episode is a lot like the character of Mariner herself. If you only pay attention to the funny, you’re missing what’s really going on.

Una gets a nice bit of reassurance that eventually she’s not going to represent a shameful episode in Starfleet history where it discovers a closeted “freak” in their midst, eventually her words and image are considered so powerful they’re recruiting poster material.

Pike also gets a vision of his afterlife. The clock is ticking but he’s on the right track and making the most of the time he has left.

Chapel and Spock get some seeds of doubt planted in them.

Uhura is encouraged to take better care of herself as the key to becoming the all star she now knows is her professional legacy. To become a more well rounded person.

Which brings us back to Spock.

The interesting thing about Spock and Boimler’s interaction is that I think Boimler is completely wrong. Not in a bad way, but like any student of history, he’s got caught up in the myth making.

Clearly the version of Spock he became invested in de-emphasized his decision to turn away from purging his emotions. The Spock we see from that point forward clearly feels emotion, he’s just not ruled by it. That Spock is so completely comfortable in his skin in a way that few humans or Vulcans ever seem to be.

My read on this is that post-Star Trek TMP, Spock has amicably reconciled his twin natures and has found a way to quietly permit himself emotion, and even to let a little out in a way that is designed to help his close colleagues read him better. Yet he also retains the immense discipline.

This is the path that I believe Ethan Peck’s Spock is on. His Spock will struggle to find an equilibrium until re establishing the sort of inner peace that can permit him to push forward a little emotion now and then to playfully gaslight McCoy and then deny everything as part of their eternal fencing.

Random question: what are your favorite fandoms? And also— how are you? I hope you're doing good 💚

Back to my little cave now :D

Omg hi!!! Thank you for asking!! I’m doing pretty great- I hope you’re well too!

Favorite fandoms is SOOOOOO hard to narrow down because A) I love so many, and B) I often times forget lots of them, even if I love them a whole bunch (cause you know- hyper fixation).

But ask and ye shall receive: here I go trying to name everything I like:

-Right now I have just started OUAT which has been really fun to watch with some friends. So- that.

-I love Dimension 20, but I only really know Fantasy High and Unsleeping City (cause those are all that are free and available on YouTube).

-The Magnus Archives (and Stellar Firma for that matter) are some of the only podcasts I’ve listened too and I’m thoroughly hooked! I just started my second listen thru of Season 2 of MAG and I am SO excited for TMP!!

-I am a big book person: my fav rn is Dracula but I constantly switch it up. I also love Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes (need to re-read this one), A Tale of Two Cities, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Little Women, Macbeth, Hamlet, Jane Eyre, and a few other classics. I also love a bit of YA: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Lunar Chronicles, ASOUE (if that is considered YA?), and recently I read Sorcery of Thorns!

-Another hobby of mine is watching crime shows!! I’m all caught up on NCIS, Blue Bloods (SO sad this is ending), Chuck, Monk, Psych, and a few others here and there. I also love Superman and Lois on CW (SO sad this is ending too.) I have a few other shows that I’m not CRAZY well versed in but I love the characters and talking about them! That’ll be Merlin, Supergirl, The Flash- I didn’t finish the last two in that list and Merlin,,,, ah Merlin.

-Video game wise I am so behind in things but I do love them! I love the new Spiderman games though I haven’t played the second one so no spoilers!!! I am almost finished with Hogwarts Legacy and I love it so far!! I also love Jedi: Fallen Order and I have finished it but I have yet to play the second one so no spoilers there either!!!

-I’m also big on musicals! Not all of them, of course, but ask and I’ll let you know!

Bakers Dozen: Liscensed Ships I want in Star Trek Online

Welcome back to Bakers Dozen! This time we return to Star Trek Online ships, but instead of canon, its liscensed. Simply put, 12 ships (and one honorable mention) I want in STO, that aren’t canon, but appeared in an offical Star Trek Product (Books, Comics, Games, Ect.)

1.Premonition Class

Hailing from Star Trek Armada, The U.S.S. Premonition went back in time to warn the Enterprise E of an impeding borg invasion. I never had the full game, but I played the demo countless times. Just look at her. She aleady looks like an Sto ship. One of the most iconic Star Trek Video games ships, I think she would be a great ship to appear in the current arc time/multiverse themed arc.

2.Yorktown Class (ENT Era)

Long before Captain Seven of Nine commanded the enterprise, and even long before STO. There was a Yorktown Class Starship in Star Trek Legacy. Star Trek legacy was the first star trek game I owned, and the Yorktown was a favorite of mine. The battleship to the NX Cruiser, the Yorktown was a powerhouse in the 22nd century. She’d need a new name, as the current Enterprise in STO is a very different Yorktown Class, but we could always use more Enterprise era ships.

3.Belknap/Ascension Class

Quite possibly my favorite TMP Era design (yes including the refit) The Belknap from Ships of the Star Fleet Vol. 1 is the Constitution Refit’s smaller agile cousin. Stripped of diplomatic suites and scientic labratories, the Belknap posseses the Constituion’s firepower in a more compact and agile frame.

A “Dreadnoght” version exists, the Ascension class, but it’s literally a Belnap with the third nacelle of a Federation classs refit, maybe to give her longer warp sustainability?

4.Andor Class

This TMP era missle cruiser was introduced with FASA, and I loved this odd ball. I could see her functioning as a TMP era defiant, a small ship darting in with heavy torpedo fire. Also more TMP is always a win

5.Archer Class

Apperaing in the Star Trek Vangaurd Novels, this was a tiny tos scout ship, with only a crew of 14, and still didn’t have enough room for personal bunks. Incredibly fast and agile, she was too small for turbolifts, instead only having ladders. Pls let me 1v1 a cube with this smol ship. Also TOS Ships are always a win.

6. Aegis Class

The U.S.S. Aegis is the hero ship of Star Trek Bridge Crew, and my god what a gorgeous ship. STO needs more Kelvin ships, and what better one than a proper Hero ship that has her own games, and looks this good?

7.Romulan Warbird, Unknown Class

This Stormbird (Romulan D7) esk dreadnought appeared in the DC Star Trek Comics in the 80s. Decades later, younger me would find the comics as a kid, and fall in love with this oship. Romulan TMP Warbird? Sign me up! Pls?

8.USS Dorothy Garrod

From the IDW Dicovery Comic, this Federation science vessel looks cool. Thats it. Thats all I know. Discovery rep is always a win.

9.D-18 Gull Class

A Klingon ship from Fasa, this is a troop transport. Its weird and I love it. I had a fried who 3d prints move the neck to the top of the secondary hull and flip the bridge module upside down for a more traditional look, but I dont have any good pics of her on hand.

10. Chandley Class

Speaking of troop transports, The Chandley is perhaps Fasa’s most popular ship, and its not hard to see why. Maybe Sto, could give her a boarding console.

11.Saladin/Hermes

Orginally appearing in the Star Fleet Technical Manual by Franz Joseph, this ship has TOS and TMP varaints, as well as a Kelving timeline version from both the comics and Star Trek Fleet Command. Simple yet iconic, with so many flavors. Legendary Discovery Variant?

12.Insignia Class

This gorgeous ship originally was a fan design, then was included in the Ships of the Line calender. It later appeared in the TNG Waypoint comics as the ‘Chimer’ class...USS ENTERPRISE???

This version of the Enterprise served at the same time as the Enteprise E (ummmm?) and was commanded by Geordi La Forge.

The Chimer name sucks though. Insignia class is a way better name.

Honorable Mention:

Locknar class

Another Fasa Ship, this is an honorable mention bc it is kinda...maybe...canon?

In Lower Decks we she the USS Titan’s lineage wall...including what was confirmed to be a Locknar class USS Titan?

What's Your Sign?

☀️= ♑The Sun in Capricorn has an intense drive for achievement that never lets up. They strive for a personal standard of excellence, even if the rest of the world settles for mediocrity. The ones that pursue the Arts have a disciplined approach that sets them apart from mere dreamers.

📈 = ♑ Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign and its ruling planet is Saturn, making Capricorn Risings self-starters and go-getters. They're ambitious, but they aren't the first people to jump on fads, because their Saturn influence leads them to be slow to trust and speak up.

🌕 = ♉ A Taurus Moon gives us a desire for a complete belly, a sense of comfort, to know there is money in the bank. Perhaps some of those things are things we already like, but when the Moon is in Taurus, we are more attracted to them. They are the things that are going to make us feel good right away.

7th House is always doing awesome themed events with prizes and amazing company. Last night, their theme was, "What's Your Sign?" In which we were instructed to translate our zodiac signs into a look. (Lucky me, I even got selected as one of the winners!) <center>-----The Look-----</center> For myself, as a triple earth sign, I tend to think the universe revolves around me. Yes, I can admit it! In order to incorporate that into my Zodiac look, I selected the Stellaris Caelorum halo that can be found at LUX AETERNA. With Capricorn being my dominant sign, I chose to let that shine through in my created look. I went into this knowing that a sea-goat look would not be too difficult to create with the amazing selection of horns and fishy/mermaid tails out there. For my horns, I actually dipped back into one of my old gacha sets from [Fetch] called Sweet Demon Horns - from which I opted to use the Rare. They are perfectly shaped for the use of "goat" horns, and the materials on them are simply fabulous. I caught myself distracted by the light reflecting off of them quite a few times, as I danced the night away at 7th House! For my tail, I went with the best of the best and grabbed the Nemissa tail from Cynefin. I didn't even have to search for a new skin for it, because it came with so many great ones already! To look the part of goat without going full furry (nothing wrong with that, just not my thing), I grabbed Fauxskin Fur in QUICKBROWN from [milk.PLUS]. I was so pleased to see they provided layers for EvoX! Of course, I added my own adornments to add to the Capricorn feel of the look. Including the gorgeous Star Sign Particles from Psycho Barbie, some zodiac jewelry from Avaway, Sabbatic Lamb + Makeup from Rotten, and the tousled look of the Sadie Hair from Magika. All-in-all, I was very pleased with the final look. And even more delighted when @itsjazzybabeh snapped a pic and sent it to me to edit and use as my own. (She really is the BEST mom!) So I didn't realize that the tos movies basically kept the same story going so I had to binge them.

TMP - getting the gang back together, connection is everything.

II - Kirk meets his son, feels old and ponders the paths not taken. He loses Spock.

III - He goes after Spock and loses a son.

IV - Spock recovers while they go get some whales. Kirk gets his captaincy back.

V - Kirk is convinced he will die alone. He harbors his pain. Spock loses his brother and Kirk calls Spock his. He finds comfort in calling his friends family.

This is a man who never built a private life. I'm sensing a general theme of a man in his older years who feels lonely and without purpose away from his command trying to make sense of his decisions and find some level of peace and fulfillment.

In Wrath of Khan he carries a book under his arm. In the absence of his ship and crew a book is quite literally all he has. And in the end when he has lost Spock, he shakily attempts to find his usual measure of distraction and comfort in it, only to have his glasses and eyesight fail him. He is 'rescued' by a conversation with his son. The overall story being about facing death and perhaps pondering a legacy. (A Tale of Two Cities also ties into the theme of Spock's sacrifice, obviously.)

I thought Final Frontier (despite feeling weird even in comparison to a movie literally about going back in time to get some whales) was a nice end to the actual thematic arc.

I thought you said men like us don't have families. I was wrong.

At least they have each other.

I think the only one I would never watch again is Undiscovered Country. The overall topic didn't really interest me much. I found it hard to sit through.

Undiscovered Country is more of an end in a meta sense. It's a transition piece. This will be the last star trek movie with this ensemble.

People are afraid of change. The characters in terms of political dynamics. The audience in terms of not wanting to give up this crew. Kirk not wanting to 'grow up' and leave the ship but keep sailing forever toward that second star to the right.

It's about the future, Madam Chancellor. Some people think the future means the end of history….This is the final cruise of the Starship Enterprise under my command. This ship and her history will shortly become the care of another crew. To them and their posterity will we commit our future. They will continue the voyages we have begun and journey to all the undiscovered countries, boldly going where no man, where no one, has gone before.

p.s. I'm not fond of TOS era klingons, which kind of puts a damper on the whole experience.

This year, we proudly welcomed 16 exceptional drag racing legends into our prestigious hall of fame, five of whom were honoured posthumously. These individuals have left a lasting mark on the world of drag racing, showcasing unparalleled skill, dedication, and passion for the sport. Their contributions have enriched the history of Canadian drag racing, and we are privileged to recognize their achievements and everlasting impact on our community.
