i think what some hp stans don’t realise is that you can enjoy shit in private. you do not need to be public with your shitty interests. atp i don’t give a fuck if you enjoy hp despite it being incredibly problematic, antisemitic, racist and so on (you should care however, considering it makes you shitty.), but you do not have to enjoy it publicly where affected marginalised people can see it!!!!

the whole twilight franchise was my special interest for years, and as an actual child that is okay. but for an adult to continue to publicly support a franchise and it’s creator when it actively harms others is fucked up. i still have the books, i have the movies and extra materials on cds, and i can keep that shit. but i am not open about it because stephanie meyer is a piece of shit and i don’t support her. the franchise isn’t even good. she’s incredibly anti indigenous and racist, and i will never give her my money again after finding that shit out.
