What do you think about Vexian?

I don't mind it at all! I don't favor it for a number of reasons, however.

Whenever I rewatch tts, I tend to skip a lot of episodes, and that includes the entire Vardaros arc, so I don't really see enough of Vex to appreciate her unfortunately.

And also, sometimes what sparks my interest in a ship is seeing the characters interact, and we obviously get deprived of all that Varian and Vex bonding.

However headcanons are a thing! And headcanons are what sparked my interest in Catalarian :)

I think Vexian is a perfectly valid ship, so anyone who ships it has my blessing *bows*

I’ve noticed I’m getting some attention on this blog again and I just want to say:

I’m glad people still like vexian! I don’t really touch the tts fandom anymore for personal reasons but I still absolutely adore vexian and what I created with it. Vex is still very near and dear to me and I hope to create content for her and vexian again someday. Hopefully soon! But I have other projects for other fandoms I’m working on rn so it’ll be awhile before I can circle around to anything vexian related. For now tho enjoy the insane ramblings of my 18 year old self from nearly 4 years ago 😂

And if you just wanna talk vexian or anything feel free to send an ask! I don’t mind! I’ll answer when I can!

It’s Tangleds anniversary so I’m finally confronting my past and rewatching TTS pray the brain rot does not return full force and you won’t be subjected to me going feral over a ship between two characters that never canonically met and one of them is literally only in three episodes I never stopped being feral over vexian, I was literally making a playlist for them the other day

the ship is called the USS Orpheus. NCC-2719. Excelsior Class. she's a beauty, and she's brand new. the mission: exploration.

her captain? none other than Ren K'ing, a Romulan officer who climbed the ranks and is a stickler for Starfleet regulation. like. painfully so.

Commander B-00-100 ("Bdoubleo" or "Bdubs) serves as his second officer. Bdubs is a human clone. while he was one of the first to actually function, he also defected from what was intended of him pretty quickly. luckily, though, his individual sentience was encouraged, and he joined Starfleet! (Zedaph loves having Bdubs on board to learn about)

we then have, for the bridge crew... Second Officer/Communications Officer: Lieutenant Cleo, a Kobali Chief Engineer: Lieutenant Mumbo K. Jumbo, species yet undecided Chief Science Officer: Lieutenant Zedaph, a Grazerite Chief Medical Officer: Lieutenant (Jr.) Joe Hills, a Human from Nashville, TN Helmsman: Ensign Pearlescent "Pearl" Moon, an Aenar Andorian Navigator: Ensign Gemini Tay, species tbd Chief Tactical Officer: Ensign Etho, a Vulcan (though i've jumped through some hoops to make his design fit with Vulcans) Security Chief: Commander Scar Goodtimes, a Vexian (my own alien race based on Vexes i'm already very deep in design and culture god help me) Operations Officer: Commander Xisuma, a Kelpien and then the rest of her crew... Engineering: Ensign Eight of Five "Iskall", a defected Borg Lieutenant Seven of Seven "Doc", a defected Borg Ensign Jevin, a Changeling Ensign Keralis, species tbd Ensign Tango Tek, a Xahean Science: Lieutenant Cubfan, a Vexian Ensign Hypno, species tbd Commander "Vintage" Beef, a Human (might change) Medical: Ensign Stress Monstah, alien species tbd Lieutenant XB Crafted, species tbd Security: Lieutenant False Symmetry, species tbd Ensign Impulse, a Taxor Lieutenant Wels Knight, species tbd

where is grian, you might ask? well you see. Grian is part of the alien race called The Watchers. they are entirely unknown to the Federation until the USS Orpheus falls into a rift in a subspace bubble. within that rift-- within that bubble-- they find a lone planet circling a star. on that planet are the Watchers. a species who never interact or interfere with anything that falls through the rift. it's their way! they only ever observe. watch.

of course, Grian is a pesky little bird. and he does not follow that tradition at all.

the USS Orpheus has to send down a landing party to retrieve something from the planet's surface in order to repair their ship from passing through the rift. Scar, being chief of security and also able to talk himself out of pretty much any situation is sent down. because it's first contact and there's no warp signature from the planet, they only send Scar down bc... they can't really risk breaking the Prime Directive.

but uh. yeah. scar runs into grian pretty quickly.

i have. so much brainrot over the watchers and the vexians already too. and also etho's backstory. and ethubs history. and just. so much. so much brainrot. i'm. very excited to share stuff hehehe... esp considering i'm working on some design sheets for some of these guys, esp the vexians/watchers and some of my other alien blorbos <3

Spy AU:

in a world where universe-hopping technology has relatively recently been used by humans to invade the worlds of a few other species, spy group Boatem is gaining a reputation amongst those in the business for being bizarrely good at gathering information.

some of this is because most of the members are nonhuman (though Scar and Impulse can both pass for human if they try, which they have absolutely used in infiltration before) but some of it is because they really just get things that it seems impossible for them to get.

sure, mumbo and impulse are amazing at gadgetry, and the other three are great actors, but - seriously how did you get those codes on the same day they were made, in a new room you never had the chance to get to!?

the answer's that, well. you've got vexian magic and charmspeak and two watcher-hybrids (grian and pearl) that both pass easily for non-watchers, especially as watcher existence isn't even common knowledge.

also theyre all smooching

really cuts down on some of the workplace drama if you all like each other

of course then they just get into shenanigans with Big Eyes, another group they're basically allied with but still have a bit of a friendly rivalry. it's a good excuse to test things out!

Another secret they keep under tighter wraps in that the five aren't restrained to universes like others are. They jump in and out of universes and timelines like a game of hopscotch, leaving them always one step ahead. What humans have only just discovered, they've perfected.

Big Eyes they encounter frequently throughout their travels, often leaving pranks or surprises for them to find. When it comes to it, they still share a common goal: protecting themselves and others. But that doesn't mean they can't have fun whilst they do.

They've got plenty of time.

Still also got that Scar turning evil AU in my head. And thinking he pairs with another villain known as Vexian, Cub, they both have same goals now. Cub wants to bring the world under his control, and Scar wants to spread spores around of what he is.

They both make a deal as Vexian shares his powers with Scar and vise Versa. Making them both very powerful. And a nightmare duo to deal with.

CuTeGuY is horrified at what his mentor is planning and what he’s currently doing. But isn’t sure how to save Scar from this creature inside him… or even if Scar wants to be saved.

Okay. Hear me out

Scar did this willingly- he let the spore take over, he wanted the power, to show everyone he wasn't just some super hero. He was tired of all the demands, tired of being put on a pedestal and sometimes forced to do things he didn't want too (like proclaim someone not so good in the government as amazing)

“What are they talking about?” Tango asked, walking up to Impulse and Gem’s picnic table.

Gem hummed, not taking her eyes off Grian and Scar arguing in the shopping district. “I don’t know, but whatever it is, I don’t they’re happy about it.”

“They’ve been arguing for the past twenty minutes,” Impulse sighed. “Grian pulled out an emerald at one point, don’t know what that was for either.”

“Maybe it was about the Royal Currency,” Tango suggested. “Grian’s never been the one to like authority.”

“That’d explain why Scar got angrier after emerald,” Gem nodded. “Because he’s part of the Royal Court or whatever.”

“I know he is,” Impulse grumbled. “Have the bruises to prove it.”

“Hello,” Pearl exclaimed coming up behind them. “Hope your chests monsters are in order! What’s the people watching about?”

“Scar and Grian are arguing but none of us know the language they’re arguing in,” Gem explained, narrowing her eyes at the pair as if it were to help.

Pearl tuned into the argument, letting the words flow past her ears. She let out a chuckle as the words translated in her head. “Oh, they’re arguing alright.”

“Well?” Tango asked. “Spill, about what?”

Pearl clasped her hands in front of her, wondering whether or not she should leave them in suspense. She shrugged, “guess you’ll just have to ask them.”

“Please, Pearl,” Impulse begged. “At least tell us the language!”

“Well, Grian is arguing in Galactic, but Scar is arguing in Vexian Elvish,” Pearl gave in. “Which are surprisingly very similar.” 

“Well, if you won’t tell us,” Tango smirked. “We know someone who might.”

“Who?” Impulse asked. 

Gem gasped, catching onto what Tango was talking about. “Impulse, who do we know that’s part Vex?”

“Scar, obviously,” Impulse gestured vaguely towards where he was standing. “Oh, but then there’s Cub!”

“Exactly!” Tango smiled. “And he’s probably at Total Chaos, so we should hurry.”

Pearl watched the three of them rush off with an amused scoff. She sat down at the empty picnic table and listened to her friends argue while she ate some lunch. 

“No, I love you more! Your eyes are prettier then emeralds and I could stare at them all day!” Grian shouted, he held the emerald up to Scar’s face.

“Well, your eyes are like the vastness of the void that I would be happy to surrender myself to!” Scar rebuttled, he looked to his left and saw that the crowd had dispersed. “And they’re gone.”

“What?” Grian asked, following Scar’s line of sight. He sighed. “I thought we could mess with them a little longer.”

Scar laughed, dragging Grian over to where Pearl sat. She eyed them knowingly, barely concealing a chuckle. “So, what’s got you two in a tizzy?”
