Break my ass
I was supposed to be taking a small break from social media but this thought have been eating me out for some time so i thought i’ll just let it out and resume with my break. Warning, this might be some pretty raw talk so if you’re a 12-16yo judgmental ass minor with a victim complex please get the fuck out of here, not even some supposed adults can handle a mature talk let alone kids. (But if you’re a minor and still mature enough for this talk you’re welcome to stay)
So this post is supposed to be about Jimin but beforehand, my friend shared this in our friends gc earlier :
Tumblr media
And i was like.. Are people ignorant or just like to play dumb? Were they expecting Yoongi to go on tour with nothing? Going on tour for what exactly Suchwita? I remember i once told someone “Well logically there will be Yoongi’s album too since he’s going on tour” and their reply was “I don’t think so” 🤡
Anygays, as French people say, revenons à nos moutons. So by now unless people are living under a rock we all know FACE is coming Aka Jimin’s album is coming, with that i have a few things to say. We all know damn well how a part of this fandom is waiting for opportunities to drag him for the smallest thing ever and sometimes those who say they love him don’t even help minimizing the hate either.
Once the album is out please, don’t read too much into what any of the songs or lyrics mean, try to understand it as it is, don’t even try to make up some bullshit theories, don’t westernize his thoughts and view of things, let us not forget that we aren’t all coming from the same place with the same culture with the same mindset, don’t even try to link his words to anyone (Those who make everything about Jikook i see you.)
I’m pretty sure it took him a lot to take a step forward and decide to open up to Army and i’m also pretty sure that he’s not expecting everyone to understand but at least those who claim they love him and support him should be up to it. Let us listen to him, understand him, support him and accept whatever he has to offer for us, no more “Maybe he’s coming up with a second album” or “Maybe there is more to come” just stfu, we don’t know about that and whatever he is ready to give we shall appreciate him for it.
One more thing, we all know that this fandom is fond of double standards, need i remind you how Jimin in Paris going out, partying with friends brought him harassment, got him called names, dragged meanwhile Tae doing the same exact thing if not more got people cooing at him and saying that they’re happy he gets to have fun.. I see y’all Tae stans out there trying to bite my ass from speaking the truth but the reality is no matter what Jimin does y’all are ready to judge him for it but instantly turn whatever he does to a normal thing once Tae does it. I hope he’s ashamed of y’all, disappointed in y’all.
Once again, i’m really insisting on the fact that you should NOT westernize anything about his album, the way each individual sees things is not the same, things that might be normal for him might not be normal for you, things that might be normal for you might not be normal for him and if i see them bitches shame him for anything that all the members do/say as well again.. I’ll sacrifice your souls to the devil bitches!
I know i keep repeating this but let is serve as a reminder, Yoongi didn’t say “FANS will understand” during Festa for nothing, they KNOW that not all Army are fans, they know that not all of them are understanding, they know that a lot of them are entitled little brats so they don’t expect them all to understand but hopefully those who are mature enough and love them enough will do and support them no matter what. We are supposed to give them a chance to move forward too, we can’t just put the boys in a prison and expect them to be the version each one of us want them to be, we are supposed to ACCEPT them the way they ARE and allow them to no longer hide behind a façade to please ungrateful pieces of shit, because yes to me anyone in this fandom who isn’t ready to accept them is a piece of shit.
With that, i guess i said everything i had to say, not too sure, again y’all already know my brain doesn’t brain correctly all the time, can’t organize my thoughts well, if i forgot to include a point i’ll either update this post or writer another post later. Take care.

Links fanfic intro chapter 2!!! (YOUR STILL GAY!!😲!!)
this has a lot of plot convenience so don't come at me, also sorry if there's ooc, this is like my first time writing for Lu so I'm not exactly Shakespeare yet.
....
When wind woke up he was met with the blinding light of the sun on his face
Also he was also on someones....back? what was going on-
"Oh, your awake! That's probably a good sign considering how banged up you were when I found you last night."
Wind shrieked and jumped, making the mysterious person almost drop him on the grass
"hey your alright I'm not gonna hurt you, your safe, were in Persephone woods and I'm taking you to Tari Takii town to see a healer, your safe ok?" The person reassured him
Now that it was daytime wind could get a better look at the person, though not at there face considering there mouth was covered by a face mask and the rest of them was covered by a hood.
"Buuut you still probably are pretty confused, but that's expected considering you were probably half asleep when I found you, well if I'm gonna be transporting you I'd better tell you my name first, I'm... Sapphire, and....yours?" sapphire as wind now knew them as, asked
"I'm.... Wind." He muttered, still not fully awake and slightly dazed
"Ook well wind your names a little funky but don't worry your safe with me!" Sapphire said as he walked along the forest floor, hopping over the occasional tree stump or overgrown root
Wind had to admit, this Persephone woods or whatever sapphires had called it, was actually really pretty, there were little white blue and red birds flying about, animals and squirrels racing around the trees, which had light green and yellow flowy leaves that hung down, some even had flowers growing on them.
they sat in silence for a few minutes, nothing but the occasional crunch of a leaf under sapphires feet would interrupt it.
..
"Were you the random guy who found me last night, and made the fire?" Wind asked
"Oh yea that was me, yea you were lookin pretty rough when I found you, its a good thing I did too, otherwise the Bokoblins would've gotten to you first, the Persephone woods are dangerous at night" Sapphire grimaced
A place as peaceful as this, dangerous? The sailor thought
"I thought I was dead, when I saw you I thought I was hallucinating!" Wind explained, that got a laugh out of sapphire
"Yea well once we get you on over to Tarii you'll be alright, the Medic there's Mr. Artemis he'll fix you right up, you'll might be stuck in bed for a day or two but you'll be alright." Sapphire chirped happily
"Yea...." Wind said, a slight hint of sadness lingered in his voice
"You sound sad, is there something bothering you?" Sapphire questioned, halting to a stop as he looked back at the sailor, a concerned look on his face
"It's just..
*how the hell do I tell him? Oh yea I have 7 older brothers and a dad we was in another fucking dimension and I got a really shitty concussion and a assy portal opened and I landed in the middle of the fucking woods*
"My brothers, we were...in a fight and got separated, and that's when you found me in the woods, I just wanna know if they're ok." Wind said
"Yknow there probably thinking the exact same thing right now, there out there somewhere looking for you." Sapphire said reassuringly
"I just...I hope I can see them again, wherever they are." He sighed
Sapphire smiled softly "well I think they'd be happy to know there brothers in good hands."
"Yea...me too." Wind said
He felt better, his head still hurt but at least he wasn't at rick of dying of severe blood loss, this sapphire guy, he was....strange to say the least but surprisingly comforting, he didn't feel quite comfortable putting his life in the hands of a complete stranger, if he had learned anything from his time on the sea its that you can't trust anyone, but sapphire had been nothing but kind to him, surely he wouldn't magically betray him? And sapphire wasn't a pirate like he was, he was a seemingly normal guy in fact, the sailor decided he'd trust him for now, and if he felt like betraying him, well that was his own fault.
....
they walked in silence for about another half hour, Wind could feel himself drift off again, he could see the sunset through the peeks of the trees, the birds had begun to settle in there nests and the squirrels no longer scampered across the thin branches. He shut his eyes and prepared to let sleep overtake him once again
Until he heard a call off in the distance
"WIND!"
Fuck sleep, wind thought his head immediately shot up, making sapphire jump a little at the sudden movement, could it really be
Sure enough, out of the corner of his eye he could see the blue of warriors scarf, twilights pelt, times armour-, he knew he wasn't hallucinating this time, that he knew for a fact, was his family
Sapphire noticed "I suppose those are your brothers then huh?" He asked, Wind nodded eagerly
Sapphire set him down against a tree
"Well, I guess my work here is done then, glad I could help you out a little." He said, as he stood up, and started to walk off into the forest
"Stay safe out there!" Sapphire said as he gave him one last smile
And just like that, he was gone, faded into the trees.
...
"Sailor! Are you all right, are you ok, I thought we'd never find you." Time said as he out his hands on winds shoulders
the captain laughed "aww look at the old man, being a mom again."
"oh shut up wars you act like you weren't up crying all night!" Legend said
Wars fake gasped "this is PERSONAL!"
Everyone was so caught up in the fact that there brother was alive and well, they didn't notice the setting sun looming over the trees
"Yknow we should probably find some place to set up camp soon, it's getting late." Sky said as he pointed to the sky (haha get it)
And so they were off, off into this Hyrule for however long Hylia decided they would.
Little did wind Know, it would not be his last encounter with Sapphire, but that would have to wait
....
Yea the ending is literal dog shit I literally did not know what to put I promise I'm not a bad writer pls keep reading

Lingthusiasm Episode 70: Language in the brain - Interview with Ev Fedorenko
Your brain is where language - and all of your other thinking - happens. In order to figure out how language fits in among all of the other things you do with your brain, we can put people in fancy brain scanning machines and then create very controlled setups where exactly one thing is different. For example, comparing looking at words versus nonwords (of the same length, on the same background) or listening to audio clips of a language you do speak vs a language you don’t speak.
In this episode, your host Gretchen McCulloch talks with Dr Evelina Fedorenko, an associate professor of neuroscience at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA about figuring out which parts of the brain do language things! We talk about how we can use brain scans to compare language with other things your brain can do, such as solving visual puzzles, math problems, music, and inferring things about other people’s mental states, as well as comparing how the brains of multilingual people process their various languages. We also talk about the results of the fMRI language experiments that Gretchen got to be a participant in: which side is doing most of her language processing and how active her brain is for French compared to English.
Read the transcript here.
Announcements:
In this month’s bonus episode we get enthusiastic about language inside an MRI machine! Gretchen talks with Saima Malik-Moraleda, a graduate student in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology at Harvard University in Boston, USA, about the details of what it was like inside the MRI machine doing the studies we reported on here - it’s a Lingthusiasm language-in-the-brain interview double feature! Join us on Patreon to listen to this and 60+ other bonus episodes. You’ll also get access to the Lingthusiasm Discord server where you can chat with other language nerds! Here are the links mentioned in this episode:

They’re currently especially looking for people who are multilingual or speak a conlang including Esperanto, Klingon, High Valyrian, or Dothraki (for which you can get travel funding...), but other studies will also come along if you’re reading this from the future.
If you wish you could see pictures of your brain and aren’t in the Boston area, keep an eye out for any other large research universities you might be near, as many are looking for participants! (Googling “research subject pool” + name of a local university may help find something.)

How to transmit power to the road surface without loss. A machine that meets the basics of this dirt track is available as a complete car. A lot of tuning know-how has been poured into Cultus from TAJIMA of Suzuki works.
CULTUS GT-i Type Dirt Trial
Tuned by
SUZUKI SPORTS
Photos/Katsuhiro Hara, Report / Hitoshi Sezai
It's an affordable works car
What is important for dirt trials is how to transmit power to the road surface without loss. In order to maintain high speed on low friction roads, the point is how to improve stability and keep all four wheels on the ground. When it comes to dirt, many people immediately think of drifting and enjoy flashy countersteering, but in reality, grip driving is the basics. Drivers are always making efforts to increase speed while paying close attention to traction.
Therefore, the higher the level of the machine, the more advanced the driving technique is required on the dirt, and there are many cases where understeer occurs when riding a dirt track. It's outdated now that you're running like you're running a tail just because it's dirt.
However, the Cultus GTI, which can be said to be Suzuki's works car, is a car that can be tried without anxiety from beginners to advanced riders. This machine was set up by Suzuki Sports, led by Mr. Tajima, who can be said to be a leading figure in the dirt track world. It was a machine that the manager of the JIM showroom participated in the All-Star Dirt Trial A1 class in 1990. Since the same thing as this is available as a complete car, it can be said that it is the commercialization of a works machine.
High grounding property with high balance
To be honest, the handling of the Cultus GT in normal mode is at a level that makes you want to close your eyes.
It's so solid that you won't believe you're wearing shoes, so you don't feel uneasy about the feeling of grounding. It is reassuring that the four wheels are always gripping the road surface because of the extremely high front-to-rear balance and the large suspension stroke. Even if you are mean and try hard braking from high speed, quick turns, etc., the feeling of ground contact in the rear is not lost.
So it makes no sense to try to drift on a tarmac with a high grip level. On a subtle note, performance on pavement never
It was like a high-revving engine that revs up without a hitch. However, from the moment I got into this car, the first thing that came to my mind was that his background was by no means bad.
The body is so solid that you wouldn't expect it to be a 132, and although it's a little large for this class, it's thanks to that that it has a calm riding feel. In the normal version, this was the cause of giving a dull impression, but the suspension tuning was applied, and the sharpness was greatly improved along with the marginal performance. In this class, where sharpness is the only selling point, it can be said that by incorporating stability, we have acquired a one-size-higher ability.
In particular, the high cornering performance
Even in the binding, a block-based dirt tire
It's not a high-speed tire, so it's true that it has a slip angle even at low speeds. However, because the front-rear balance is outstandingly high, in cases where drifting is intentional, the performance limit of the car will be exceeded, and the power will just be eaten away. This setting, which was born as a result of seeking high marginal performance in dirt driving, is in line with the limits of tire performance, so to speak.
The high level unique to a works machine is also greatly demonstrated in its tuning know-how. In this test drive, I was able to fully recognize its underlying strength.

Assy McGee #1: “Murder by the Docks” | November 26, 2006 – 11:30PM | S01E01
Assy McGee was founded on one of the thinnest premises ever: a dirty cop who happens to be a pair of buttocks on two legs. He lacks a torso, and he talks out his ass (literally). He walks backwards since his butt functions as his face. He speaks in a gruff, slurry speech and regularly fires his gun at innocent people. The show’s style is uglier than most Adult Swim shows, and the jokes are played very deadpan. This show is without a doubt one of the shows that gets mentioned when you list off Adult Swim’s worst series of all time. I am here to tell you: I loved Assy McGee. And so far, after viewing this one episode, I love (present tense) Assy McGee.
I don’t know how to really quantify my love of this show. And, make no mistake: I remember eventually getting tired of Assy McGee and sitting out most, if not all, of season two back when it was airing on TV, and there’s a very real possibility that I will find that this show suffers from the same diminishing returns back when I was equally of it’s time. But this show features things I love: tortured logic, absurdist storybeats, and insanely stupid characters. But the show, which reads as a comedy only out of a necessity for cheap animation and having a pair of buttcheeks as the protagonist, plays things fairly straight as though this were a real crime/cop drama. The backdrop is a deadly serious crime show even though it’s all obviously “Adult Swim bullshit”.
The plot is this: the cops have found a corpse of a dead hooker, who we know via the cold open flashback that she died 200 years ago. The killer was second president John Addams, who inadvertently caused her death by covering her in black soot to hide her from an angry mob, unaware that she was allergic and this act would kill her. Assy steals some evidence from the crime scene and decides to go rogue, trying to find the killer John Addams. He eventually shoots and kills a John Addams impersonator at a parade and gets reinstated as a cop because it turns out the actor was wanted in 28 states for something unrelated.
Nothing truly gets resolved in the story (not that there was even a chance of that happening). In fact the show seems to disdain anything that makes sense. Absurd touches like the fact that the skeleton of the prostitute is found not even buried but laying on a dock among some barrels 200 years after being killed; completely undiscovered until present day. The fact that a photo of her as a skeleton hangs in the massage parlor for no intelligible reason. The fact that the cops have a photo of John Addams with an 1980s-inspried school-photo style backdrop. At points it’s own sense of ill logic contradicts even itself. Honestly, I fucking love all of it.
Assy’s introduction in this episode has him showing up to a crime scene and indiscriminately shooting all the cops and the forensics expert already on scene, killing all of them. Assy only gets a slap on the wrist, or I guess ankle, for pulling this stunt.
The show is light on obvious hilarious jokes, but is mostly a collection of weird absurdist situations and little subtle character things. It’s extremely broad in one way and extremely subtle in another. A lot of the gags in this show are very original. Even the tough guy patter, which is a trope that’s been run into the ground, is serviceable, and is the only thing that comes close to being unoriginal. Assy telling the John Addams actor he has a bullet “and it’s got your e-mail address on it” is good. Him pleading that he’s “just an actor” to have Assy respond “can you play dead?” just before shooting him is also good. But these gags are the only thing that seem derivative, despite the fact that the cop show genre parody has been done a billion times over.
One more weird thing about this show is, and I am relying on memory here; it was built with a commercial break in the middle. Indeed: at the five minute mark there is a fade out in one scene and a fade-in to the next, as though that’s where a commercial would have gone. I remember Adult Swim actually running a bumper stating that Assy McGee was part of an experiment in toying with the idea of including a mid-show commercial break for it’s quarter-hour shows (like Space Ghost used to do on Cartoon Network), but they had trouble finding companies willing to advertise during a show whose star was a pair of talking buttcheeks. I have only the vaguest memories of Adult Swim airing self-promotions during that slot, but I might’ve made that up in my head. Season two actually did make use of the mid-show commercial break in a certain way. Weather the streaming version of the show preserved this remains to be seen, I guess. But we’ll get there eventually.
Anyway: I love Assy McGee. So far.

thoughts on people comparing jimin flying to support hobi to jimin flying for jungkooks birthday? A lot of jikookers were upset about the ot7-fication of jikooks relationship. Personally for me I just think it’s people shouting out how good of a friend jimin is to the people close to him. When I saw the tweet that had jimin flying to both jungkook and hobi, my first thought was jimin is such a sweetheart I can’t imagine having a friend so lovely. I know people were saying some ot7 army ignore jikook moments and only use them when they’re lumping them in with other moments and I get that- but at the same time not everyone looks at things with a shipping lens.
Yeah, not everyone looks through ship lenses or with the conviction that two people are together. Shippers have already made up their mind about that, so everything will be taken as proof that they're together; as well as shippers of a different ship are convinced jikook are not together, so everything will be taken as proof that they aren't. Jikookers, just like any other shipper, act on the basis of confirmation bias.
Jikookers are like why does no one celebrate jikook's friendship and then their tweets are like:
"Gay man jimin traveling across the world to visit his gay man BOYFRIEND literally the definition of a married couple of 4u4949 years name a better gay relationship than jikooks"
And then the same people are like "why do the fandom ignore jikook's friendship?????" Maybe if you actually called it a friendship, jeez idk.
I think there are many different factors to take into account and why one could even be generally seen as more "valid" than the other, and one of those has definitely got to do with how much we know of the two situations.
Literally the entire planet was able to watch on live when Jimin put foot in the airport, then we saw him backstage with Hobi watching TXT performance and other artists, too; then there was Hobi's own show, and the vlive after.
But what exactly was there about Jimin coming back from Paris in 2019? It was just a photo, a real-time photo from which we all made the correct conclusion that Jimin was back in Korea and celebrating JK's birthday with him; and then a month after, Jimin confirmed it in his live. But that was it. There was no watching Jimin arriving in Korea, no Jungkook saying Jimin came to surprise me he was a light while I was in the darkness, none of that happened. It was only a photo. There's nothing wrong with it being just a photo, but I hope you understand what I'm talking about on how that could make people talk more or less about an event --it's simply a matter of the information available. Likewise, the fandom is choosing to ignore a woman who has, what looks like a very close relationship with Hoseok, and also traveled to watch him perform. And they're choosing to ignore it because they don't know anything about her or their relationship, and that's okay.
I keep talking about how what BTS say matter, it has always mattered and the fandom, usually, more or less, picks up on what they say and base their interpretation of the members on the things they all say about each other.
People were cursing Jimin left and right for being there and "taking the spotlight away from Hoseok" (wow, does it really take that little??), only for Hoseok to pretty much say Jimin was his saviour. Hoseok was not eating until Jimin arrived. If he hadn't say that, nobody would've known how important Jimin being there actually was. I'm incredibly glad Hoseok said that. If he hadn't it, it would've still been true, but we just wouldn't have known.
Knowing, or not knowing things, understanding, or not understanding the reasons for something, all of that changes people's interpretations of the same situation.
I can repeat "Jimin came from Paris for Jungkook's birthday" until my voice is hoarse, but what else can I objectively say about it? It's just that, a hard, concise fact. There is no more information about it for people to assign a special meaning to it.
For me, getting that BTS_twt notification and seeing Jimin's tweet with JK's photo, it's one of those moments that I remember exactly what I was doing when it happened. I never believed that Jimin had come back only for that, he already had another trip planned with people from Korea, he had definitely bought his ticket before that day and it was decided that he would leave from Korea, etc, so I never believed that he came back exclusively for Jungkook; just like with Hoseok, I've always thought JK's birthday was a stop. A stop that he could've avoided, obviously, and he didn't. I've also always knew that he was capable of doing the same for other friends, too. But there was a whole story and context to 2019 jikook until that moment, and if I'm being honest, for me, it was all that had happened before September that gave weight to Jimin coming back. It wasn't the "visit" itself, but everything that had been happening for like a year before that.
On the other hand, Jimin going to Chicago for Hoseok has all the information one could need to feel moved by it, and even the people involved (Hoseok and Jimin) talked about their feelings on the event, so it's logically easier for people to give it a special significance and make a big deal about it. Because Hoseok himself said it was a big deal!!

There’s this thing I hate about english that is how people assume everyone know what every acronym means. like?????? babe wtf is IDHAS supposed to mean???????????
(just for the record, I typed whatever just now, but it maybe is something, I wouldn’t know)
ok, I get we don’t need a clarification for NASA or USA or UK, but then you guys write a whole point and drop some letters and good luck figuring this out
I mean, sometimes those same letters have different meanings in different places??? will your fingers fall if you add a fucking explanation to what is that thing that seems fundamental to your whole line of thought???
Like, if I tell any brazilian I went to the UBS and that I love SUS so much, they’ll understand, of course. But like, right here, right now, where people from other places have access to what I’m saying, I’ll obviously tell you that UBS stands for “Unidade Básica de Saúde” or “Basic Health Facility” and that SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde) is our Universal Healthcare System. See? It didn’t hurt and now you know something you didn’t.
I fucking want to die everytime I’m reading a fucking story and they just assume I know what UAJJS means. like??????? babe??????
Oh, sorry, I didn’t realize you’re only writing for those who have your exact same cultural background lol.
don’t mind me, I get a bit pissed.
The best writing advice I got was “always assume your reader is stupid”, when talking about references. I won’t assume you know who Machado de Assis is, I’ll fucking tell you, so please tell me what the fuck means VTMNC

And I noticed in court today that vital and got his wife we're having a tough time and it constantly calling us he said look we're captured here these people are harassing us I don't know why you're calling us we can't see we don't know what they're doing so we handled it saying he wanted me to see this and see that I said it's nice you guys need to call people and do the majority of the work even with our kids but really you need to man up here with your people things and stuff and he apologize I said I don't know why you're apologizing you have to do these things so you got up and he said this we want you to be involved I said I don't give a damn what you're saying give me a small error we need to correct it and then before it becomes a humongous one sat down and said you're actually right and I'll start working on it don't talk to me that way I said I'm the leader what we're doing is tragically dangerous and I will have nobody talk back to me when I'm doing the right thing and he sat down and said wow this is actually what's going on he's the leader I'm telling them to lead and he's telling me to do the job it says You must delegate back to yourself the authority of emperor which you have you're used to count towing to these people and it's it's an experience but that's what you have to do in Thor is doing it too and Freya and I'm pulling my hair out saying what are you saying I have to order each and every single action and it's starting to change and Olympus is picking up the ball but really these people are distraction and the foreigners have been testing us so he's picked the ball up and he's going with it and he said it's dangerous and I'm going to be in trouble and he noted that too and he said you're actually right about something it's going to be a different game and they know it and they're going to try and zap Us in the beginning and occupied us with this dog s*** talk and this dog s*** crap we start doing it too Spain and Portugal China and Japan and Russia and Europe they like it but it's old bad blood and this is still working against the lasers and we have to carry a lot of the weight which is what we needed and you were right the whole time but boy you got really stinking and thick and these people lost everything the same I tried to and they didn't they're just huge assholes and wimps and made a TBI victims and so I handled it and I said we have to go all the way to the beginning of it starting today and put the order out there and it's a great thing for you to do they still can't talk to me that way but you're going to says you're going to thank me for it later and I see what you're saying you have to do these things it's hard to do it's mind-bogglingly excruciating and now you have to do that this is not very hard cuz I know it's right and you know it's right and pretty soon it's going to be the super highway of correctness so I get what you're saying we're all going to be going that way so it'd be good to be right out front the kind of sputtering and club dubbing around and half-assie things even though we're coming on strong but I have people on getting up and saying okay now in front of all these people that's what I say it's kind of true and it made it very difficult and it's not exactly right but they're demanding it and foreigners probably don't believe it but that's what's happened so I agree with you too it's a very good job and I will get back to it and you can't talk to me that way because I'm going to start taking on my responsibilities again and that's why and you agree yes we're still open to being trained and taught and to see things but she wants you to go through the experience and he feel it in here and see what they're doing cuz they are are messing with Olympus so I sat back and I did it I said on these three things on these four things I said they try and do everything intermittently and they're messing with this constantly it's coming down to it right now I sent it out and it's a wonderful thing and he thinks Hera and me because she had it done.
So you did was good too you said I have to eat now and I have to do this now and we'll talk about it in a minute and I got really impatient and I said I have to learn patience and he's trapped and I suddenly see something it's going like that with everybody else sitting there she said it should only be me and him and it's true so I'm going to put that up to Olympus.
And that was Hera and me and Zeus a little and I'm in court I'm listening and they're huge assholes and they're saying all sorts of stuff Giant epitaphs and they cleared him out and the more idiots came in they cleared them out finally it's time for court and it's 1:00 it's still a bunch of jerks in there and a chortling and making noises and they clear them out and they close the courtroom they're showing up outside 10 20 30 of them getting rested asking how many are inside now they're going directly to jail and then they go to prison and they're not listening to anybody and they're not listening to leadership of theirs and just running in there being huge assholes and they don't care what anybody says and they don't care why they're saying it they're going in there to bother us so now we have this situation globally with these weird retards are doing this rushing and stuff everywhere we have huge numbers of strike teams from everybody going after them and really it's a precursor for the robots and he says they're going to use a small amount that people took they're going to try and take over that using your idiots and you pick one guy to leave voluntarily and he left and he said I'm going to be a real rebel he said they're going to use these people and some others for what little robots they have to activate Tommy's plan to run robots and clones to take over the planet we need to know where these robots are yeah he had a gleam in his eye and he said if I didn't respond to it I wouldn't be the guy and you said but others might be like me he went back to the court outside he's saying drop your useless case and follow me we have a real one so they can't gather around and listen he said these people have enough robots that they want to attack and they'll take over lots of the Earth Tommy has three quarters of them and it's more than enough and he made his own to take over the planet and he has tons of clones there's not much time we must find these robots and John real lord heard it and he said praise you and he says now get out of my way so he said he probably knows where they are so they went after him and they find out he doesn't know where too many are but he knows where Tommy is and as a group they're going after Tommy f to find out and a whirlwind tour is what's going to happenand one trumpster is just saved everybody it's not Trump and it's not a son they have their heads up their ass is very far by the way they don't even know where the robots are just keep on making stupid noises

Big success in court vital and goddess wife and Hera and many more Olympus

The wind was blowing exactly 15mph and Spencer Reid had just arrived in Seattle. His job, as a profiler, took him all across the US. And his mind took him everywhere else. Although Seattle was different, Seattle was special. See, when his mother and father were still together, they took him here every summer. Because every summer they would come here, just to eat at Marge’s Hideout.
Today although, he wasn’t there because of his job. He was there on vacation. Or any form of that for him.
After checking out of his hotel and going for a walk on the pier, there was only one thing on his mind, coffee. Coffee from Marge’s.
So he picked up biked and went along the trail. Not using GPS, not since he had an eidetic memory, but since he knew the path by heart. Every good memory he’s had in his childhood always took place here, in Seattle. More specifically, on Louise’s Trail that goes straight through the town, and leading right to Marge’s Hideout. Although full of cobblestones and vines, it truly felt like you were at peace. At least for him, it did.
He knew he was coming to a stop on his wobbling journey as soon as he smelt croissants and pancakes. Stumbling and tipping over on his bike as he tried to get off, someone opened the door. And in through the door, he heard a laugh. The same laugh he had heard almost every day in his early 20’s. It couldn’t be, could it.
Quickly floundering to the door while trying not to trip over his own shoes, he kept thinking to himself. Or more though, all the memories washed over him. All of the ridiculous, joyful, and heartbreaking moments washed over him.
Finally getting inside, he heard it again. The same laugh. The same laugh he had heard all those years back. “Y/N?” He spoke causing a woman with rich brown hair to turn around.
“Spence,” she breathed out.
They both looked at each other until she finally broke the silence.
“Hi.”
He went over to her seat. Trying to maintain an appropriate distance you would have with a stranger. Although she wasn’t a stranger. She was his last love. And his only love.
Y/N and Spencer had dated for 4 years. It was her first day of orientation when she met Spencer though. He was assisting the class she was in, and she couldn’t help herself but to ogle at his clumsiness and awkwardness. So, she asked him out for coffee, strictly platonic though.
Of course, at first, he was quite conflicted to take up her offer, but he did anyway. Because she seemed nice, and he would never not take up an offer if it involved coffee. So they went there. And then again. And again. And again, and again, and again, and again, and again, until he couldn’t take it anymore. So, he asked her out on a proper date. And after that, they both had fallen helplessly in love with each other. Although, after year 3 of them being together, things started to fall. He had gotten accepted into the BAU under Agent Hotchners authority, so he was barely he had moved to Virginia which meant long distance. At first, they thought they could do it, and they did, but that was until she had started finally her first year as an intern.
They started seeing each other less, and less, and less. And so they called it off. And although on the call, they kept everything reserved, it was all waterworks after. Y/N didn’t talk to anyone for a week and Spencer developed a drug addiction. Although at first, he thought it was because of what had happened with Tobias Hankel, he soon concluded that it was also powered by the breakup.
Of course, though, time passed. She started to see other people, and he started getting help. She started to really plan out the future, and he started to enjoy the moment, and live now, not in the past. She started to become him. And he started to become her.
“Ugh, how are you? Long time no see.” He said awkwardly as she kept on looking down.
“Good, good. How are you?” Her sweet angelic voice, which might have been silkier than before.
“Better.”
They both stayed in awkward silence for a couple of seconds which truly felt like decades.
“Here,” she said while moving to an empty booth, “sit.” And so he did. Him playing with his feet and her looking out the window until she suddenly asked a question. “So, are you still working at the BAU?”
“Yeah… Yep, still working there.”
“That’s nice.” She mumbled.
“How’s your work?” He asked, trying to start up a conversation as he pulled up a menu.
Suddenly something changed in her tone. She became more joyful. Happier. She straightened her back and moved the hair on her shoulder back. Spencer had noticed this. This was exactly what she would do when he asked about anything relating to what she was learning in college. She truly loved what she did, and for that, he was happy. “My work is great! I just got my first solo surgy, and that was fun! I mean, of course, it’s exhausting, but I truly love it. And Macey. You remember Macey right?”
Of course, he remembered Macey. Anyone who knew Y/N in college would remember Macey. They were the best of friends, absolutely inseparable. There wouldn’t be a time of the day where they weren’t together. All, except coffee time. Because that was strictly reserved for Spencer.
“Yeah, of course, I do. Who wouldn’t?” She simply laughed.
“Yeah, well she just got engaged!”
“Macey? Macey Williams? Married! She couldn’t keep a guy for more than 2 weeks.”
“I know! But a little after we broke up, she met this guy named Brian and they were just good together.”
It got a little quiet after she had mentioned the breakup. Spencer looked back down to his menu as if it was a foreign topic and Y/N frowned while grabbing a menu for herself.
Although her initial plan was to grab a coffee and go. Just like she always does, she decided to stick around today, knowing she wouldn’t get a moment like this again.
“So, what will you two lovely people want today?” The waiter chipped while walking up to them.
“Oh, I’ll have 2 buttermilk pancakes: blueberry. Scrambled eggs, and a coffee.”
“And I’ll be having a strawberry mango crepe, 2 croissants, and one coffee.”
“Great! Will that be all?” They both looked at each other then nonned. “Amazing, we will get your orders out as soon as possible!” And with that, she skipped away.
“So, besides work, anything fun happen to you?” Y/N questioned Spencer while toying with her bandaid.
“Well, I mean not much. I have an incredible team though! They are truly some of the most important people in my life. And my mother also of course. Although she hasn’t gotten better, I still write her a letter every day. And see her at least once every other month. And I’m a Godfather now!”
She always loved how excited he had gotten whenever he was talking about the BAU or his team. For such a messed up job, he truly loved it. And that’s all that really mattered.
She laughed, in pure and absolute joy. “Wow! That’s amazing,”
He laughed too. “It is! Isn’t it! What’s going on in your life? Besides works, please.”
“Well, besides work, I’m gonna say my life is going pretty well. You know, I have some friends, and I have this little town. My boyfriend and I broke up, but honestly, I’m glad we did. He was really holding me down. And I mean, without him ever breaking up, I would have never moved into this little paradise. Plus, I mean, it’s closer than my old home. But, I too am a godmother! My sister, Eleanor, don’t think you ever met her, but she had my niece. A true angel honestly. But yeah, my life has been going. Smooth and steady.”
“Well, I’m sorry that your boyfriend broke up with you, but his lost, right?”
“Well, it wasn’t mine, that’s for sure.”
Soon enough their food came, and conversations continued. A couple more coffees were ordered and so was another crepe. Spencer and Y/N sat in that booth for what felt like hours. Just listening to each other. Whether that be laughing or reminiscing about old memories. Spencer couldn’t help but look at her hair. How he was a sucker for that hair. Always was. And her laugh. Whenever she laughed, he smiles just a little more until it turned into a full-on grin. A grin full of happiness and joy. And for her, every time he would say anything remotely smart-assy, she would start laughing. Every single time. Because, no matter how much she used to love him, he couldn’t stand the fact that he knew everything. Except, of course when she needed to study for a test.
They soon though, had to carry on with their lives. Apart from each other. In a realm where they will never see the other again.
“Can I walk you to your car? I’m gonna bike around the city, and I don’t think I would feel safe knowing you were driving with me on the same road.” He teased.
“Ha ha okay, I get it. I suck at driving. But, to your case, I have, actually, gotten really good at driving.”
“Sure, sure. Whatever will you happy.” He teased her as she looked up at him and scoffed. Pulling out her keys from her clutch. “Well, this is my stop.”
“Alright. Well, then I better get going. It was marvelous seeing you again.”
Y/N now had a choice to make. 1: Go after the man she once loved and go on a date, knowing that the chances of a happy ending are few to none. Or 2: Leave this incident be and carry on with her life.
“Wait!” She called out. He immediately stopped. So she caught up with him. “Do you wanna, um, I don’t know, possibly just, maybe, go out? Whenever you’re next free on your stay?”
Unlike making such a big of a deal out of it like he did last time she asked him out for coffee, this time he immediately said, “Yes.”
“Really? That’s great,” she spoke in disbelief that he would say yes. “Well, when are you next free?”
“I’m free for the next week and a half.”
“Great see you on Wednesday!” She said whilst getting in her cars. But before she left, she asked him, “Wait, Spence, do you need my number? It hasn’t changed from the one you had so-”
“Nope! Edition memory, remember?”
“Who could forget.” She turned on her engine, and before heading out of the little town that was oh so special to him, she yelled something which he vaguely picked up. “Call me!”
And with that, Spencer set off. Aiming for the sunset on the once in a blue sunny day. And going to them there was only one thing he could think about, her number. Because, of course, he had the eidetic memory, so he was never going to forget. But that’s not the reason he remembered her phone. I never was, never will be.

As ridiculous as it sounds, Keigo still thought of Y/N everyday. He’d never gotten to say goodbye to them, so to Keigo, their relationship never ended! In Keigo’s mind, that was still his soulmate, still his partner, even when they moved to America because of All Might believing they would thrive under a Western hero’s training. Just a bunch of bullshit.
He saved himself for them. He’d never kissed anyone, never slept with anyone, never thought anyone was as gorgeous as Y/N. To be fair, Keigo didn’t get the “privilege” of being Endeavor’s definition of independent until he was 21. Even if he became a pro long before that.
But now, Keigo’s life was a little less monitored. He lived in a penthouse, of course Endeavor owned the building it was in. Endeavor always told him certain rules he had to follow, but Keigo always got a bit testy with him by replying with something that was smart-assy.
Endeavor wasn’t fond of the way Keigo spoke to him most of the time, but now that Keigo was known by the public eye, he couldn’t risk the winged-hero telling the press about the conditions the hero commission had him living in for most of his life, all the mistreatment they tried to mask it by saying, “It’s just hero training!”
And Keigo wasn’t fond of the way Endeavor treated him, but, when Keigo actually thought about it, he had nowhere to go. He didn’t have anywhere to call home. He damn sure wasn’t going back to his parents, hell, he wasn’t even sure if they were alive.
Countless times he’d thought about what would happen if he ended up asking Endeavor if he could see them just one more time, but Keigo couldn’t bring himself to care enough about their well-being to even consider having the conversation with him. He knew he was supposed to feel bad, but he couldn’t.
Each time he tried to feel pity for his parents, he remembered that they were lied to by Endeavor & the hero commission and ended up just giving their child up for free, not getting a single paycheck for their kid. It was funny to him. They thought they were going to be filthy rich, but ended up being a couple of nobodies who were now child-less, possibly homeless, possibly deceased, who knows? He wished nothing but guilt onto them, he wanted them to feel what he felt his entire life.
Endeavor couldn’t deny his feelings, either. It wasn’t many, but there were times where he wanted to pull-out of the deal with Keigo’s parents and let the man live a normal childhood, much like he deserved, but at the end of the day, Endeavor wouldn’t even do that for his own children. Why would he do it for Keigo?
He’d often find himself thinking about this, thinking about how different Keigo would be had he not stepped into his life. That’s how he ended up here, seated on his desk as he waited for Keigo to come knocking at his door.
He was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of something thumping against his office’s window. He turned his head, only to be greeted by Keigo standing at the glass door on the office’s balcony.
Endeavor looked up at him, startled. “Keigo..” he mumbled, standing up to unlock the glass door. Endeavor blinked as he watched Keigo walk into his office. “Why didn’t you come in through the door?”
Keigo brushed off his jacket, shrugging. “I had a nice lunch, decided that I could work off the calories by flying in.” Keigo said to him, clicking his tongue. Keigo walked over to Endeavor’s desk, sitting down in his big, leather spinny chair.
Endeavor furrowed his brows, closing the door. “Whatever. Takami. You know how I feel about you sitting in my seat—“
“Yeah, yeah. How long have you known me, Number One? I’m here on time, so just tell me what you called me here for. I’m a busy man, I’ve got important things to do.” He spun around in the chair, bending his head back to keep eye contact with Endeavor.
Endeavor sighed deeply, sitting down in one of the chairs in front of his desk. “Anyways,” he leaned in. He knew what he was about to say was a terrible decision. Of course, it was one made by Endeavor. “Do you remember your training days?”
Keigo blinked, tilting his head. He almost had a look of annoyance. “‘Do you remember your training days?’ Of course I do. Did you think I forgot any of it?” He mocked Endeavor.
Endeavor bit down on his lip. “Well… do you remember Y/N?” Endeavor asked Keigo.
 Oh, boy…
How could Keigo ever forget?
He had multiple videos of them saved on his phone while they were on TV interviews, he kept up with them as if he was their #1 fan… in a way he was?
Every night he heard about them being on TV, he’d stay up until he couldn’t keep his eyes open just so he could hear their smooth voice. He remembers the night where their hero costume was revealed, he was practically drooling in front of his TV. He’d replay the videos countless times during his night shift, too. He’d have their voice ringing through his airpods while he was on patrol.
He was so happy for them when they were announced the #3 hero, of course, they were beaming on the screen and Keigo could have sworn he saw a twinkle in their eyes. He remembers them thinking they couldn’t become a top hero with their “stupid quirk”, though Keigo always believed in them and didn’t allow them to talk down about themselves.
He couldn’t go to sleep unless he rewatched at least an hour's worth of content. He could replay them in his head word for word, he never got sick of seeing the same ones, hearing the same stupid podcast.
He’d listen to their voice to calm down after a hard day at work. He would use them as therapy, as an escape. Keigo would no doubt consume fan content if he wasn’t absolutely disgusted by their fans. They’d sexualize them, speak about them in ways that only he was allowed to. In his mind, Keigo was the only one who was allowed to think of them in that way.
That wasn’t it, no, no. Keigo would constantly daydream about the day they would be with him. He’d fantasize about what his lips would feel like pressed against their skin, against their—
Keigo stopped spinning in the chair, gripping the armrests. “Yeah. ‘Course. I remember the day you took the love of my life away from me, too.”
“They weren’t dating you.”
“Just get on with what you were saying, Endeavor. If you’re gonna talk about what you did and why you did it, I’m all ears.”
Endeavor for once was debating with himself. He had a conversation with All Might about this, and Toshinori of course disagreed with him.
“Endeavor. All I’m saying is he can’t handle seeing them again. You can’t just let him be the one who shows them around because you’re too busy. Why do you think we’ve avoided this for years?”
“You’re the one who told them they could come back to Japan. I didn’t say that! If they move back, nothing is going to stop that boy from finding them. And that’s. Your. Fault.”
“My fault?! Last time I checked, I didn’t groom Keigo into being a hero. I’m doing my job as Y/N’s mentor. You’re the one who has a track record of being a shitty authority figure.”
“...Why can’t you help them settle in? They’re your student. Are you not capable of being All Might anymore?”
“Oh, so you’re trying to be funny? You know if I were to do it, I wouldn’t be able to protect them if something happened. You know this, Endeavor.”
“Whatever. He can’t be that mental anymore.”
Endeavor took in a breath, looking up at Keigo. “They're coming back to Japan. I need you to help them settle in. You know, show them around town, help them move into their new home..”
Endeavor could see Keigo’s wings flutter at the sound of that. He cursed himself for not listening to All Might, but he couldn’t just agree with Toshinori as stubborn as he was. You’d never catch Endeavor agreeing with anything the former number 1 hero had to say. He’s always held too much resentment to allow himself to agree with anything his said. His fragile pride was too strong.
Keigo blinked a couple times, his eyes going wide. “You’re… serious?” Keigo asked him, sinking into the chair. He didn’t know how to feel, his palms got all sweaty and his cheeks grew pink. “Don’t joke with me, Endeavor.”
“I’m not joking. Toshinori can’t do it, if someone targets them, he’d be useless. I’m going to be busy,” doing absolutely nothing, “and you’re the next best hero. So I trust you.” Bad idea.
Keigo nodded his head. “I can do it! When… When am I gonna see them?” he asked, placing his hands on the desk in front of him.
“Tomorrow. Their flight comes in tomorrow at 12 PM. But Keigo, we need to have a talk.” Endeavor folded his hands on his lap, leaning in to make eye contact with him.
Keigo rolled his eyes, looking at the man. “What? A talk about what? What could we possibly talk about other than their arrival? Unless you’re going to apologize.” Keigo asked him. He just wanted to know more about tomorrow, he didn’t give a shit about whatever Endeavor had to say.
“You know what? Nevermind. Be at the airport by 11 AM, don’t lose them.”
Keigo smiled, standing up from the seat. He straightened his jacket. “I’ll tell you how it goes, Enji.” He said to him, moving onto the window.
Endeavor watched as the man flew off.
What has he done?

"You don't have to dear its completly fine, besides the models that we have now are say more advanced"
"True", they both looked around a little more and they decided to look further
"where to now?"
"Um let me have a look.. Oh ah to the planatarium it self its down stairs"
"Alright lets go then" Brian softly grabed y/n her hand and they both went down stairs
"Brian slow down i'll trip" she giggled
"Sorry im just exited"
Once they reached the room where the planetarium was located they sat down, both of them looked at the ceiling
"Its beautyfull isnt it?"
"Not as beautyfull as you"
"Aw bri stop you are making me blush"
"Good day everyone, hope you all are exited for the tour for today" a man said, he had a long stick in his hand "im Eric (just a random name) and today im going to tell you all about this special seiling" he pointed at it with the stick
Tumblr media
"Lets start with the story of the maker of this special ceiling, Eise Eisinga was born on February 21, 1744 in Dronrijp. He also attended primary school there. Like many children in those days, he had to come home to work, in his case in his father's wool combing workshop. In addition to wool combing, he took over his father's interest in things such as astronomy and mathematics. He was so eager to learn that at a young age he walked weekly to Franeker, where he studied Euclid's mathematics books with Willem Wijtses, a wool dyer. At the age of 24, Eisinga married Pietje Jacobs, after which he settled in Franeker as a wool comber in 1768."
Brian looked in wonder at eric as he told the story
"On May 8, 1774, a special conjunction of planets took place. At dawn, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and the Moon were close together in the sky. It was claimed that the mutual forces of these celestial bodies would throw the earth out of its orbit and burn it in the sun. Eelco Alta, pastor from Bozum, made this prediction. In April 1774 an article about the writing of this 'lover of the truth', as he called himself, appeared in the Leeuwarder Courant. The paper was titled "Philosophical Thoughts on the Conjunction of the Planets." Alta's ideas caused a lot of unrest among the population. The authorities tried to intervene by banning the writing, but the damage was already done."
"His great knowledge of mathematics and astronomy came in handy for Eisinga when, in May 1774, unrest broke out over Eelco Alta's prediction. To give people an accurate picture of the solar system, he built a model of the solar system in his living room. Seven years passed between his very first idea and its final realization. Since 1781, Eisinga's model has closely followed the orbits of the 6 planets in our solar system. This makes it the oldest planetarium in the world that still works its now 240 years old, the restoration of the planetarium was in 2013 when it was completely disassembled thoroughly checked and reassembled in the same way."
Brian put up his hand "I have a question"
"Yes sir over there"
"Wel if it was completly dismanteld how did you all know wich part to pull lose and how to put it back togeter"
"Exelent question wel you see, eise left behind a hand book with great deltais of how to restaurate it no thing should be replaced if posible unles it can't be ells, one thing that we have to re do every 22 years is this plank"
"There is only room for 22 years on the relevant shelf. Every year on December 31, the plank is automatically moved by a nail on the date wheel, so that the new year is revealed at exactly midnight. Until he comes to an end. ,,Fortunately, Eisinga has left us an instruction that describes exactly what to do if the plank comes to an end."
"In the circle around it are the days written the pointer wil acurtly say wich day it is and wich hour of the day"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I had to do some reserch for this excuse me if its not acurate)
Eric pointed at the ceiling again
1 and 2 . months on the ecliptic and the constellations 2. Also farest point
3. The days and the year
4. north knot (constellations)
5. Moon phase
6. Spring and winter
7. autumn and summer
8. All planet rings (sun in the center, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn plus the models of the moons turning around the planets)
"This was the presatation if there are any questions feel free to ask"
Brian and y/n stood up she turned to him " lets go upstairs and see the gear work"
"Alright Sure" they both went up the stairs Brian had to be verry carefull not to bump his head "god these ceilings are so low, outch!"
"Carefull bri"
"Sorry" once they were in the attic of the house they were greated by the glass where behind were the woeden gears of the planatarium "absolutly amazing he really was ahead of his time"
Tumblr media
Once they had a look around they went down stairs again and looked further trough the displays" (there is mutch more but i don't want to spoil it al thats no fun)
When they came at the entrence they were bid goodbye by the person at the desk "oh before you go you may choose a card with your zodiac sign" they picked their cards and went out
Tumblr media
They waved goodbye and went back to their car " Thanks y/n This was amazing" he kissed her fourhead
"Your welcome bri" she leaned in to him
And they both went on their way back to the hotel
The end
I know this might suck sorry about that guys but i hope you enjoyed reading, i went here a few years ago and i thought this is something Brian would enjoy
Also Some things can't be found online so if you are near Franeker once please go have a look there its really amazing. (Make sure you get your tickets before you go there)

6, 9, and 26 for the writing asks! Hope you are having a wonderful day, J 💜
hi, hon! sorry for the wait! hehe thanks for the ask <3 Btw, was it you that reblogged something from Zoey smth-smth? lmfao bro you GOTTA watch Zombieland I swear to god I love that movie, it's so ridiculous xD
6. What point of view do you tend to write in? Do all of your pieces use the same POV? Do you have strong opinions on the POV used in novels?
r: Third person, always. I have VERY strong opinions about 1st person POVs lmfao I actually hate every single book I tried to read in 1st person. It feels very off-putting imo bc I never read a book inserting myself into the character (same reason I can't read y/n fics) so it feels wrong to see it "talking" as if it were me. The only two exceptions to that rule are Twilight bc I read it when I was 8/9/10 and it was the shit back then and Ume's fic the Eventual Descent. I don't know what it is about Ume's fic but I barely even notice that it's in first person, the plot is so captivating, the characters so fucking well-written it's just *chef's kiss*. This isn't to say that I don't change POVs while writing. I know some people say it's "bad writing" but I wholeheartedly disagree. A story can be told by just one person and it's even nice to play with the whole unreliable narrator style and the ramifications of it but that's not the only way to tell a story imo. I do think that the way the guy from GoT wrote his books is terrible tho lmfao. Yeah, mad genius that he is, it's very very VERY uncomfortable to me to be reading about smth that's kinda dull and then as soon as it starts to get interesting I'm suddenly reading about a character that is even more terribly boring than the first one. Lol, I'm probably gonna get hate for it but hey, if it's your thing then it's your thing, this is just my opinion.
Another thing that it's definitely a no-no for me is when the POV changes without a proper sign of it changing. No line breaks, no chapter breaks, nuthin'. It absolutely takes me out of the story when you're reading something and then you have to keep reading back to figure out who is now describing the scene to you. Changing POVs is great imo but it requires a bit more care about how the story is written in general, you gotta be mindful of the flow.
To answer the question, yes I do have strong opinions about it lol.
I should point out that these are all my personal opinions, this doesn't mean at all that if whoever is reading this does the things I don't like that they're a bad writer or anything like that. Even if I had tons of degrees in Literature (which I obviously don't) you should never listen to someone who says things like "this is the way you write well" or "if you do this, then your story sucks". Just tell those people to shut the fuck up. There's no right or wrong in writing, okay? Just what you like and what your readers like. Machado de Assis, one of the most famous Brazilian writers of all time wrote his books with TONS of grammatical mistakes. And you know what happened? We made rules about it lol. Now we accept those "mistakes" as something you can do in Portuguese all because this guy wrote books that people liked. So, yeah. To anyone reading this: DO YOUR THING.
9. What scene was the hardest to write for you and why?
r: Kakashi and Sakura kissing. LMFAO. I took around 200k words to get to a point where they would kiss for the mission, right? And it was fine, I kind of freaked out about it when I wrote but it was cool cool cool. Now, their real kiss? OH MY GOD, bro, I had such a hard time. I think I already told you guys this but I wrote like three times how they would get together and then ended up saving those scenes for later lol. I think this story is just an immense buildup to getting them to a point where I would like to see them together that now that they're finally there I'm... scared? I don't really know. It feels like I forgot how to write romance lmfao I'm currently rewriting their first real kiss for the fourth time I think and it's where I stopped with this writer's block :/
26. What do you feel like you need to work on as a growing writer? How can you improve?
r: This is a really great question. When I started writing (in Portuguese) I kind of copied the style from the books that I used to read at the time which is fine, you can't do anything without copying something first. The thing is, brazilian writing is a bit more... descriptive than English writing in general. Actually, let's make a comparison between English and Portuguese first. There are many linguistic reasons for this which I'm not gonna get into but in general, in Portuguese we use more words to speak. That is because of many many reasons but one of them is the fact that in English there's a process called "verbing" or "verbification" I think? Which is basically, you take a noun and you create a verb out of it. For example, to elbow, to distance, to inconvenience. In Portuguese, to say those things, we have to use more words, it takes us longer to get to the end result. Some more modern examples of it is terms like "Google it" or "Tweet it" or I dunno "DM her". We don't have that in PT.
Let me try and get back on track lol. So yeah, that happens because English speakers but mostly USAmericans tend to have a snappier way of speaking. You are direct and straight to the point in general. When I first started writing, my texts were best described as poems in prose form. lol. I was very descriptive, I took my time making sure the emotion was there and not just the basics to get my readers from point A to point B. I still like that type of writing but it gets tiring if it's a long piece. So, after being corrected by many english teachers on how I structured my stories (they were always very long sentences, sometimes a whole paragraph w only one phrase), I started changing the way I write.
Like anything in life, when you want to make a shift, you usually go from one end of the spectrum to the opposite. A full 180 turn. So I started writing shorter phrases, I stopped describing every single thing in the scene. I decided to let my readers fill in some of the blanks, let them figure out for themselves what kind of dress this character is wearing or how did she get from point A to point B, that's not the important part. Now, if you go see the first maybe ten chapters of Daughter of Fire, you'll see that I exaggerated on that end lmfao. Some things are too vague, some paragraphs could have been two or three sentences instead of five or six. It's okay, I don't go back to change those things bc I think it shows the progress I made as a writer.
What I want to do now, is to reach that middle ground, make a 90 degree turn instead lol. I managed to get better by treating first drafts as first drafts, I get my point across, point A to point B, quick, snappy. Then I go back and edit, I add descriptions, I connect the dots better. And that whole poem as prose thing? I save it for important moments. Those emotion heavy moments in the story where I do want to make the reader stop and feel. It's all a work in progress, I'm not even close to a professional writer or anything like that but that's where I'm at rn. I'm trying to find my feet in that middle ground.

Not The Clone You Were Expecting
Summary: Waking confused, Phil Gasmer soon finds he has a rescue mission with no idea how to do it. Author’s Notes: This was written for the RipChat Holiday Gift Exchange and is my gift to @kalinara. My prompt was: I would like a story involving Phil Gasmer, either physically present or the parts of him that still exist in Rip. Thanks to @incendiaglacies for reading through this for me and making sure it made sense.
Enjoy He felt strange as he woke, like his mind was filled with cotton wool.
His last memory was being held down by two of the three men who had abducted and tortured him while the third moved closer carrying a metal band that he knew would kill him.
And he was sure he had died.
Somehow there was consciousness again, and he could hear voices. Although they sounded far away there was something familiar about them, recognition tickling at the back of his mind.
The voice suddenly became clearer, as though his ears popped.
“He looks identical. Even the scars are the same,” a woman near him mused.
“They have to be,” a man replied, filling him with a vague feeling of anger, “We have to ensure Gideon believes him to be Hunter. If he is missing any scar or freckle, she will know immediately that something is wrong.”
Confusion filled him, everyone had claimed he was Rip Hunter. Why was it different now?
Forcing his eyes open, the bright light stabbed into him, but he managed to focus finally. Bemusement filled him as he saw himself lying on the table across from him, strapped to a table.
“Phil,” the other version of himself called urgently, “Elude protocol.”
The man and woman frowned turning to Phil’s doppelganger strapped to the bed while Phil’s hand moved without thought and he pressed his left thumb into his right wrist. The world around him dissolved and suddenly he was in a completely different room.
“What the hell is going on?”
All Phil Gasmer wanted to do with his life was make movies with his friend George, and maybe get high on occasion. Then his life went insane from the moment the people who called themselves Legends appeared in it. He discovered the people in his movie were real, and that he apparently wasn’t who he thought he was but one of the characters he’d created, Rip Hunter.
Which was without a doubt depressing as hell considering all Phil knew about the man’s backstory.
And that was before he was abducted and tortured by three men who spent most of their time arguing amongst themselves.
Looking around the new surroundings, Phil found he was in a room, lit by a strip of lighting above his head. There was a desk and chair in one corner with a chest of drawers in another. Realising he was only dressed in a hospital robe, Phil opened the top drawer relieved to find several lots of clothes, all in his size.
Dressing quickly in dark denims, a grey t-shirt and a dark blue shirt, Phil then pulled on a pair of boots he found before he began to look around properly. There was a mirror on the wall and Phil moved to check if it gave a clue to where he was.
Looking at himself Phil frowned to see his hair was shorter and lighter than he remembered, his beard was gone, which annoyed him because he’d liked it, but there was a light scruff across his jaw.
Phil jumped when a beam of light covered his face, and he realised he was being scanned.
“Mr Gasmer…Phil,” his own face appeared before him, “I know this is strange but if you’re here then I am in trouble and you’re the only person who can help me.”
Phil stared at himself before sighing, “Rip Hunter.”
“One thing I can promise you is that you’re not actually me this time,” Rip continued, “If you’re seeing this then someone has managed to capture me and used cloning technology,” he paused for a moment before explaining, “I made a few arrangements just in case something like this happened, which is a longer story than I can tell you right now. I implanted a few additional pieces of knowledge in your mind, and I’m sorry but you’re the only one I can trust.”
Phil frowned confused but waited in silence.
“If you haven’t found them already,” Rip continued, “There are clothes in the top drawer, and in the drawer beneath that are a few weapons as well as some other kit you will need. Check the computer, all you require is to place your palm on the scanner, and it will know who you are. All the information you need can be found there.”
With that the recording ended and Phil was alone again.
Phil frowned as he realised there was no way out of the room that he was in. He couldn’t find a door, there was no window and no hidden levers. All he wanted to do was leave and hide and be free from all the insanity.
But…
Rip Hunter had been the man trapped across from him when he’d woken, he’d done something to ensure Phil would escape their captors, and the least Phil could do was try to help the other man.
Opening the second drawer, Phil winced when he found several knives along with a gun and what looked like a watch of some kind. Closing the drawer without taking anything out, Phil moved to the desk and took a seat.
A rectangle on the desk lit up and nervously Phil placed his hand upon it. The computer sprang to life, and a blue head appeared on the screen.
“Greetings, Mr Gasmer,” the male voice came with an accent that reminded him of Rip, “My name is Graham, and I am an AI.”
“Like Gideon?” Phil asked.
“Precisely,” Graham replied, “Captain Hunter has charged me with providing you with assistance.”
“Okay,” Phil said before asking, “Help with what?”
“Your existence here shows that a concern he held has come to pass,” Graham continued, “In order to rescue Captain Hunter, you will require assistance. Unfortunately, the Waverider is not an option as, whoever has managed to abduct Captain Hunter, has done so in order to capture the ship.”
“Then who can help me?” Phil sighed.
Graham paused for a moment before replying, “Currently I am unable to answer that question as I do not know the state of the world outside these walls. Once you leave the building then I will have access to the required information.”
“How do I leave?” Phil demanded annoyed.
“In the second drawer you will find what looks to be a watch,” Graham explained, “This is called a Time Courier, it has been designed specifically by Captain Hunter to ensure that only you and he are able to use it. Once you activate the Time Courier, I shall be downloaded to it allowing me to guide you.”
Phil grimaced, moving over to the drawers again he pulled out the Time Courier and attached it to his wrist, this time taking the weapons as well.
“If you open the bottom drawer,” Graham spoke up before he could ask, “There is a bag along with currency for you to use, as well as other technology for this time period.”
Following the instructions, Phil found a rucksack. He was surprised by how much money was in it and frowned in confusion at the shiny black rectangle that was also inside it.
“This is a mobile phone,” Graham explained to him, “It will be connected to your Time Courier so all you are required to do is switch it on,” at Phil’s frown of confusion, he added, “Press the button at the side and when the number pad appears enter the code 2059. Once that is done it will connect automatically to the Time Courier and all you need to do is leave it on whilst in the bag.”
Phil followed the instructions, sliding the phone into a pocket inside the bag which looked like it would be safe. Reluctantly he added the knives and gun to the bag.
“Okay,” Phil whispered, “I’ve got everything. What now?”
“There is an earbud in the front pocket of the bag,” Graham said, “Put it in your ear and press once to activate it.”
Following the instructions once more, Phil winced when something jabbed his ear when he activated the earbud.
“That will ensure it does not fall out,” Graham said, this time in his ear as opposed to surrounding him, “And now it is time to leave.”
A scraping noise made him turn to see a door opening behind him, and a cold breeze filled the room making Phil shiver.
“There is a coat in the cupboard,” Graham told him, as another door opened where a long dark blue coat hung.
Phil slid it on before pulling the rucksack over one shoulder and stepping out into the unknown.
Noise was coming from the end of the corridor that Phil was walking along. Reaching the end, he found two doors and frowned.
“Which way?” Phil asked softly.
“The door to your left leads into the bar of the public house we currently reside,” Graham told him, “While the door to your right leads to the street.”
Phil grimaced, “I could do with a drink.”
“Alcohol will not be conducive to rescuing Captain Hunter,” Graham noted disapprovingly.
Sighing Phil said, “I still need something to eat and drink.”
“There is a shop close by which will provide you with sustenance,” Graham assured him.
Grimacing Phil took the door to his right and stepped out into the street. He blinked in the bright light and jumped when a large lorry flew past him.
“Turn to your right and walk one hundred feet,” Graham told him, “There is a convenience store where you can obtain provisions.”
Phil walked in the direction the AI sent him, finding the shop easily. Walking in he located bottles of water, sandwiches and cookies.
“In order to pay,” Graham said in his ear, “Simply present your Courier to the small box at the till. It will pay for your food.”
“It will?” Phil asked before musing, “Cool.”
When he reached the front of the queue, the bored looking kid behind the till scanned his items then looked up waiting. Nervously Phil placed the Time Courier at the box, surprised when the kid handed him a receipt.
Taking his shopping, Phil put some of it in his bag before leaving the shop.
“Where to now?” Phil asked as he ate several cookies and drank the water while walking away from the shop.
“Head towards the park at the end of this street,” Graham told him, “Once there I shall open a portal to your next destination. This shall lead to the individual who will be able to assist you in your mission.”
A little worried that Graham hadn’t given him any actual information on where he was going, Phil continued to walk. He had no idea where he was but didn’t want to ask in case someone took notice of him. Once more he was in a world completely different to the one that he knew, the cars, clothes, hairstyles, and technology screamed this at him, but Phil decided until he knew he was safe from whoever had Rip then he wasn’t talking to anyone.
Reaching the park, he continued to walk and stalled when day suddenly became night, as the park became a street with houses surrounding him.
“Graham?” Phil called, “Where am I?”
“The house at the end of the street is your destination,” Graham told him, making Phil sigh that there was no further information provided.
But demanding answers would waste time and it was just easier to follow instructions for the moment. Heading to the detached house Phil saw a neat lawn at the front and two lights on inside. One upstairs and one downstairs.
Hitting the bell, Phil held his breath hoping that whoever answered was friendly. Listening to the sounds of the owner coming to answer, Phil sighed in relief seeing the man who opened the door was someone he recognised and knew would be able to help him.
“Rip?” Jax demanded.
Phil winced and shrugged, “Not exactly.”
                                 *********************************************
Jax smiled as his little girl toddled towards him, catching her in a tight embrace when she reached him and pressing kisses to her cheeks while she giggled away.
“Alright,” Sadie laughed, “Come on Miss Martina, it’s bath time. Say goodnight to daddy and we’ll go play in the bubbles.”
Martina giggled, “Nyny, Dada.”
“Night night,” Jax hugged her, before passing the two-year-old to her mother.
Sadie smiled, starting to sing to their daughter as she took Martina upstairs leaving Jax to his work. He was taking several engineering courses so he could put his knowledge of the things he’d learned on the Waverider to good use and had two assignments to finish for the end of the week.
About an hour into his studying the doorbell rang, sighing in annoyance Jax put his pen down and opened the door to the last person he expected.
“Rip?”
The man standing there shrugged, “Not exactly.”
The American accent and hesitant demeanour made Jax stare in astonishment and he finally asked, “Phil?”
Relief filled the man’s face, “Yes. I’m sorry for just turning up and I know this is strange, but I need your help.”
“Come on in,” Jax told him, stunned that once again the film student was in front of him.
Phil stepped inside and headed into the lounge when Jax motioned him through. Looking up the stairs to see Sadie watching concerned, he said, “It’s something from my time with the Legends.”
She nodded, “Okay.”
He smiled relieved she understood before heading to where Phil was standing looking nervous and worried.
“Just letting my wife know there’s not a problem,” Jax assured the other man, “Grab a seat and tell me what’s going on.”
Sliding his bag off, Phil sat awkwardly on the edge of the couch and began to explain what had happened to bring him to Jax’s doorstep.
Jax rubbed his hand across his eyes, “Okay, let me see if I’ve got this right. You’re not Rip but a clone with all of Phil’s memories, completely separate from Rip who is in trouble?”
Phil nodded, “That’s the basics.”
“So, this AI you have?” Jax asked.
“Oh, yeah,” Phil pulled his right sleeve up and said, “Graham?”
“Yes, Mr Gasmer,” a male voice with an English accent stated as a blue head hologram appeared from what looked to be a Time Courier.
Phil smiled slightly, “Can you answer all of Jax’s questions?”
“Of course,” Graham replied, “Mr Jackson, what can I assist you with?”
Jax mused for a moment, “Explain how Phil isn’t Rip this time.”
“In case something like this happened,” Graham stated, “Captain Hunter made arrangements so that Mr Gasmer’s consciousness alone would be transferred into any cloned body amongst a few other additional pieces of information.”
Jax and Phil swapped confused glances before Jax asked, “What pieces of information?”
“As it is likely Captain Hunter has been taken in order to take control of the Waverider,” Graham continued, “Then he has transferred certain proprietary information to Mr Gasmer.”
Jax frowned, “What exactly does that mean?”
Phil shrugged confused.
“It means that the information the people who are currently holding Captain Hunter are after is no longer in his mind,” Graham explained, “But in Mr Gasmer’s.”
Phil rubbed at his fingers worriedly as he listened to Graham, suddenly jumping at the AI’s pronouncement.
“Hold on,” Phil spoke up, “What information is in my head?”
Jax nodded, “That’s a really good question and,” he added, “You keep saying Captain Hunter, not Director. When did Rip set all this up?”
“Captain Hunter activated me three weeks after he left the Waverider following the destruction of the Spear of Destiny,” Graham explained, “Gideon streamlined the plan, and the last update was three days after the Waverider was stolen from the Time Bureau.”
Phil noted Jax looking guilty but didn’t want to ask because right now he didn’t want to lose focus.
“What information do I have?” Phil asked the AI again.
“I do not hold those specific details,” Graham replied, making the two men groan in annoyance.
“Well, that’s helpful,” Jax sighed, “Okay, why did you come here?”
Phil frowned, “This is where Graham brought me. I thought you’d be able to help me rescue Rip.”
Jax stared at him making Phil squirm slightly, “You’re looking for my help on a rescue mission?”
Phil nodded, “I have to.”
“Why you?” Jax demanded, “Why not just call Sara and the Legends?”
“Because Rip said I can’t,” Phil replied, “The people who have him want the ship and Gideon so we can’t give them a chance to take it. Although I am surprised, they’re not already looking for him this time.”
Jax frowned, he began to pace before sighing, “I thought Rip was dead. They all do.”
“Why?” Phil asked softly.
“He overloaded the time core trying to stop a time demon,” Jax explained, “Sara told me that it vapourised him.”
Phil took a soft breath, “I didn’t know anything about that. All I know is I can’t leave him there.”
Sighing Jax nodded, “Okay. Graham, do you know how to find Rip?”
“As per Captain Hunter’s instructions,” Graham spoke up, “Now that I have guided Mr Gasmer to a safe haven, I will shut down.”
Phil stared at the watch, “What? Why did you get me to bring the weapons, and the money?”
“This was to ensure you came here. The money is yours to build a new life,” Graham told him, “Although you and Captain Hunter are two different people there are specific traits you share.”
“The need to save people,” Jax noted with a knowing roll of his eyes.
“Precisely, Mr Jackson,” Graham replied, “However, Captain Hunter did not want you to risk your life, Mr Gasmer. Therefore, I wish you well.”
Phil gasped, “Wait.”
Horror filled him as the only chance he had to save Rip shut down.
Jax watched Phil desperately try to reactivate the AI with no success. Leaving the room, he found the communicator Sara had provided him with when leaving the ship.
Just in case.
Jax stared at it for several minutes, the Legends were the best bet for rescuing Rip. He had a wife and a daughter to take care of. Running around time and space was not part of his life anymore. Putting it back with a sigh, Jax returned to the lounge where Phil was looking defeated.
“I don’t know how to fix it,” he sighed to Jax, “He didn’t leave that information in my head.”
Jax grimaced, “Give me the Courier.”
“What?”
“Give me it,” Jax told him again, “I should be able to get some information off it.”
Hope touched Phil’s face and he quickly undid the watch strap, “Are you sure?”
Jax shrugged, “It’s possible. Rip taught me how to fix Gideon, so I should be able to get some information.”
Pulling out his tools, Jax grabbed his tablet and connected the Courier. He paused and turned to Phil who was hovering anxiously.
“How about you have something to eat,” Jax suggested, “While I do this?”
Hesitantly Phil nodded, “Thanks. I am kinda hungry.”
Jax quickly heated up some of the casserole his mother had dropped off earlier and gave the man a plate. Once Phil was eating, Jax got back to work. The fact that Rip had trained him meant that Jax knew the programming quirks Rip had that were not in the manual he’d been given to read. Therefore, he recognised the little things Rip had put in that would probably have confused someone else. And it took only about an hour for him to get into the main program.
“Got it,” Jax said, seeing Phil jerk awake who’d closed his eyes after finishing his meal and fallen asleep.
“You have?”
Jax nodded, “Okay, bypassing Graham so he can’t just shut us down again and…” he tapped in a few more instructions, “Got it.”
Phil moved to look at the screen, “Does it help?”
Jax mused as he scanned the screen, “Typically Rip didn’t leave any real information but,” he smiled, “I think I can locate him.”
“How?”
“If I’m reading this right,” Jax told the other man, “Then, using the beacon in your arm that activated the transporter to get you out of there, I can backtrack to where Rip is being held and transport us there.”
“Are you sure about this?” Sadie asked softly after Jax explained everything.
Jax nodded, “Rip is my friend and I have a feeling if I don’t then Phil will try to go after him alone. The last time he fought that I know of, he attacked me with a rolled-up script and that didn’t do any damage.”
Sadie chuckled and wrapped her arms around him, “You’ll be safe though, right?”
“Believe it or not,” Jax smiled, “I know what I’m doing. We also have the element of surprise.”
Sadie sighed, “Okay. Just be careful.”
Jax kissed his wife quickly, “I will be but if we’re not back here in an hour I need you to contact Barry and his team to come after us with the information I’ve left them.”
Nodding Sadie sighed, “I will. But I trust in you.”
Hugging her tightly Jax hoped his confidence wasn’t misplaced and he’d be back here soon. Tiptoeing into the nursery, Jax took a peek at his baby girl who was fast asleep cuddling her favourite teddy. Her tiny bow mouth was moving as though she was drinking from her bottle.
Kissing her forehead, Jax smiled, “Love you, Munchkin.”
Martina sighed happily in her sleep and he shook his head wondering how he got to be so lucky. Taking a quick breath, he headed down to where Phil was waiting for him. He looked nervous but determination covered his face.
“Are you ready?” Jax asked, picking up Rip’s pistol and setting it.
Phil frowned, “Shouldn’t I have that?”
“Do you know how to use it?” Jax asked, when Phil shook his head he said, “Then I’ll take the pistol.”
Grabbing his tablet, still connected to the Courier, Jax reconnected the strap to Phil’s arm so it worked again.
“This won’t accidentally land us inside a cell,” Phil asked, “Will it?”
Jax grimaced, “Hopefully not.”
“Well, that makes me feel safe,” Phil rolled his eyes.
“Do you want to do this?” Jax demanded.
“Sorry,” Phil winced, “I’m ready when you are.”
Jax took a quick breath and murmured a small prayer to whoever was listening before activating the Courier. He was surprised when the world around them dissolved, unlike his previous experiences with the Time Courier.
And suddenly they were no longer in his house.
                                 *********************************************
Rip watched his captors argue as they tried to work out another plan to capture the Waverider. Eston Hayes, the leader was someone Rip knew well from his early days as Time Master. Ironically enough he’d been captured by Rip breaking into a cloning factory.
Thankfully, the partitioning of his mind so that any attempt to transfer it to a clone meant they got Phil had worked. Now Rip hoped Phil had found Graham and was safe well away from Hayes.
“Having problems?” Rip asked amused when Hayes walked over to the cell they were currently holding him in.
“You think you’re smart, Hunter,” Hayes snarled at him, “That little trick of yours won’t stop me for long.”
Rip shrugged, “I don’t want to tell you your business but the equipment you’re using means that it won’t be able to remap my mind. Shame you wasted your one chance.”
At the confusion that covered the other man’s face that he quickly tried to hide Rip chuckled again, “You might want to check with your tech person how your equipment works. Or a ten-year-old child since they might have more information.”
“You think you’ve won something,” Hayes snapped, “But all you’ve done is ensure we will take the Waverider by force and the AI will be damaged.”
Rip stared at him before replying, “You’ll get nowhere near Gideon. Trust me on that one.”
“With you as my prisoner,” Hayes chuckled, “Trust me I know that Time Master AI’s are programmed to protect their Captain.”
Rip shrugged, “You don’t know Gideon.” He took a seat on the cot in his cell and smiled, “I’ll wait while you work out your next step.”
Hayes glared at him before stomping over to his crew once more. Grabbing the young guy who was supposed to be his technical expert and throwing him through the door towards the other room that held the machine. Hayes then moved the others out, yelling at them all to fix things for him or face the consequences.
Rip let out a long breath hoping he could work out a way to escape before Hayes managed to devise a feasible plan. Out the corner of his eye Rip spotted a shift in the light. Confused he stood and moved so he could see the other corner of the room, stunned that Jax and Phil were standing there.
Jax let out a sigh of relief when they materialised outside the cell but hidden from the people who held Rip. He winced slightly when Rip spotted them and swore.
“What the hell are you two doing here?” Rip whispered harshly as Jax moved to the keypad.
“It’s a rescue,” Jax replied, “You remember what that is right?”
Rip glared at him, “I left explicit instructions with Graham to get Phil to safety then shut down.”
“Phil and I decided you don’t get to do that,” Jax replied, he managed to unlock the door and frowned at Rip, “Are you coming?”
Rip walked out the cell and, to Jax’s amazement, rested his hand on Phil’s shoulder concerned, “Are you okay?”
Phil nodded.
“Okay,” Rip smiled, taking the pistol Jax offered him, “We need to destroy all the equipment, stop Hayes and his team then make sure they can’t make any further trouble.”
“I’m guessing he’s an old friend of yours,” Jax noted as he followed Rip.
Rip sighed, “Time Pirate. It was one of my first missions to apprehend him and his crew who were, believe it or not, robbing a cloning factory.”
“What’s your plan?” Phil asked.
Rip frowned in thought, “There is a main panel just at the back of the control console. Phil, I need you to basically pull out every wire you can find. Jax, overload the system. I’ll deal with Hayes and his people.”
“There’s four of them and one of you,” Phil noted.
Rip gave a slight shrug, “I’ll be fine. Destroying the machine is the priority.”
Concern still covered Phil’s face, “Are you sure?”
As they stood face to face the only way Jax could tell the two men apart was their clothes. And the fact Rip had his pistol.
Rip nodded, “Trust me, I know what I’m doing.”
“Come on,” Jax caught Phil’s arm, “Let’s do this.”
Rip took a slow deep breath to focus himself, he still felt a little off after the mind scan. Ensuring the partition worked so Phil’s consciousness had been transferred only had taken concentration and it had been exhausting but Gideon was in danger and he wasn’t going to let Hayes, or anyone else, harm her.
“I want the codes,” Hayes was yelling, “I don’t care if you have to tear it from his mind.”
Smiling slightly to himself, Rip pushed everything to one side and slid into attack mode as Miranda once called it. Easing into the room, he ensured his pistol was set at the highest stun setting and fired three shots hitting each of Hayes’ team before they could defend themselves.
Hayes turned stunned, “How?”
Rip gave him a smug smile, “That would be telling.”
Firing at Hayes, Rip swore when the other man threw himself to one side out of the way. Hayes grabbed random items from the shelves and flung them forcing Rip to take cover, when he tried to fire at the other man Hayes charged at him. Hayes slammed into Rip throwing him to the ground, and Rip felt the air forced out his lungs.
“You smug bastard,” Hayes snarled, wrapping his hands around Rip’s neck and squeezing, “I’ll find a way onto the ship using your corpse.”
Rip struggled to throw the other man off him, but Hayes was bigger and as he choked Rip it became harder to fight. Suddenly Hayes stopped, his eyes rolled back, and he fell to the side revealing Phil above him holding the panel door.
“Are you okay?” his clone asked, offering Rip his hand.
Rip nodded, as he took several deep breaths.
“We’ve pulled out everything we could,” Jax reported when he reappeared to join them.
“Good,” Rip turned to Phil again, “Time Courier.”
Phil looked a little surprised but undid the strap passing it to Rip.
“Graham,” Rip called, “Reactivation code, Alpha, Hat, Joke.”
The watch turned on again and the holographic head appeared, “Yes, Captain Hunter.”
“Contact Agent Simons in the Time Bureau,” Rip ordered, “Get her to sort this out, asking her to ensure my involvement is not revealed at all.”
“Of course, Captain Hunter,” Graham replied.
Rip sighed, “Jax, can we go back to your house or will I open a portal to somewhere else?”
“The house is fine,” Jax said flatly before demanding, “Who is Agent Simons? Why not Ava Sharpe or Sara to clear this up?”
“Agent Simons is a former Time Master who joined the Bureau,” Rip replied as he programmed the Courier, “She knows how to deal with this type of situation, not to mention she knows who and what Hayes is. And,” he stopped Jax from speaking again, “Right now it’s easier not to let them know.”
With that said, Rip opened the portal leading them back to Jax’s house.
                                 *********************************************
Phil sat in the back garden of Jax’s house with a mug of coffee in his hand the next morning. Jax had two spare rooms in his house so he and Rip had taken one each to sleep after their rescue mission.
“So,” Rip said letting Phil know he was there, “How are you?”
“Confused.”
Rip chuckled and took a seat at the table across from him, “I can understand that.”
“What happens now?” Phil asked.
“You live your life,” Rip told him, “Which is what I expected you to do originally. You weren’t supposed to come after me.”
Phil shrugged, “I couldn’t leave you there.”
“That reckless streak Gideon keeps telling me off for having is apparently something we share,” Rip noted.
“What are you going to do now?” Phil asked.
Rip shrugged, “I’m not sure. Gideon has advised that the Legends are currently in the middle of a quest which I don’t feel I should interfere in. The Time Bureau is not an option anymore. But I have some bases I can use to continue my own mission of protecting time.”
“You don’t have to do it alone,” Phil told him.
Rip sighed, “My experience of working with others is not exactly positive. I have Graham to help me while Gideon keeps the Legends on track. Time Masters always worked alone, I feel that’s the best idea for me at this moment.”
Phil shrugged, “I could help.”
“No,” Rip whispered, “You deserve to have a real life. You wanted to make films. Do that. One of us should get to live our dream.”
Phil smiled before reminding him, “But if you need help at any time.”
Rip nodded, “I’ll call on my brother.”

Assistant to the Chancellor
Summary: “An outsider with no reason to be given the hefty task of dealing with the Gralean Empire’s flamboyant chancellor has ended up with just that. She’s willing to put up with all the antics, but is there ulterior motives for her obedience that none are privy to? And can they compete with the grim secrets of Chancellor Izunia himself?”
No True Rating Yet • Female Reader • Before the Events of XV • Under the Cut
A couple weeks had passed since you had begun working for Chancellor Izunia and you found yourself growing more comfortable with his flamboyant personality. If nothing else, you could tolerate it. There were even moments where you found yourself giggling at his little antics, to which he’d react with a self-satisfied smirk. You were grateful that these flirty gestures and comments were at least coming from an attractive man, not someone slimy and entirely not your type (which you weren’t quite sure what would even constitute as “your type”). You shuddered to imagine Besithia acting as Ardyn does.
It had taken a couple days and evenings, but you finally finished the paperwork--sifting through what you’d bring to his attention, throwing whatever out, putting official seals on anything that required it. All simple things, but it seemed far too much for someone who didn’t even appear to take the politics seriously. Though who were you to judge when you hardly took the work seriously yourself?
A sigh passed your lips, knowing that it would already be dark outside and thus you would need to go sleep soon after. You placed a soft knock on the Chancellor’s office door.
“Come in, love,” he invited with a sing-song voice.
“Ardyn,” you gave a short bow, “everything you need is ready for you.” You explained the gist of what you completed, hoping it’d make his busy work easier.
“Thank you. You continue to impress me everyday,” he said your name with a warm expression.
“That’s the goal, right?” You offered up the same energy. “I know it’s a bit late, and I wouldn’t want to keep you any longer, but is there anything else you’d like from me before I take my leave?”
Ardyn closed his eyes and leaned back in his seat, obviously considering your request. “Dinner!”
“Eh?” There was no chance of you holding back the shock on your face.
“Your boss is requesting that you share dinner with him,” he chirped. All you could do was blink at him for a few moments.
“I actually had some leftovers I have to finish so they don’t, uh, go bad,” you made an excuse.
“Hm, quite a predicament we find ourselves in,” Ardyn stated, scratching his stubble. “How about this then!” He excitedly put a finger up as if having an ‘Aha!’ moment. “Tomorrow is our day off, yes?” You slowly nodded your head with a quirked eyebrow. “Then we will go out for dinner, a nice dinner tomorrow night!”
“I…” You had no excuses to deny the Chancellor this time, and his satisfied expression indicated he was well aware. “If you truly wish to share a meal with your humble assistant tomorrow night, I shall accept.”
A sly smile graced Ardyn’s lips, “Wonderful, I haven’t had anything to look forward to in quite some time. We can meet here in the evening.” He laughed before waving you away, “That’ll be all for today, my dear. See you tomorrow,” he winked.
You bowed before bidding him goodnight and rushing to your room. Non-work related conversations with the man always left your brain feeling drained as you tried to ascertain what motivations he had under that carefree facade. You crashed unceremoniously onto your bed, not bothering to eat anything, though you technically did have leftovers that were going to spoil.
What were you to wear tomorrow? What conversation points did you have to discuss? Where were you even going to eat? Such questions eventually lulled you into a sleep.
Though not a very satisfying one. You woke up in the late afternoon to a mess of rat’s nest of hair and dried drool caked to one side of your mouth. ‘Maybe I should show up like this,’ you snorted but your better judgement told you to clean up. It wouldn’t be any good to lose your current position, it’s already difficult to get the information you’re looking for as is. You slinked off to the showers, making sure the temperature was as hot as your skin could take before stepping in. The shower routine you had wasn’t too long, yet you still sat there in contemplation long after you were done.
Travels all around Eos led you to no further information on what you were seeking--information about the lost and long-forgotten Astral you heard stories of as a child; stories that were deeply rooted in your existence. Eventually, the only place you hadn’t checked was Niflheim. And so here you sat, in the last place you could hope to check.
Your skin was raw from the hot water by the time you finally exited, but hey, at least you were clean now; however the clock was ticking against you, you slept in far too late and showered far too long. “Ah shit,” scolding yourself, you quickly got to work on finishing up your appearance.
It was nothing special, frankly speaking. You didn’t want to look like you tried too hard for your kinda-but-not-really dinner date with your superior. Donned in a black, sleeved, and laced dress accented with gold, you accessorized only with your pendant. The only styling your hair received was a decent blow drying. Nodding as you checked the mirror last time, you headed towards the office, but not to work this time.
Truthfully, you expected the Chancellor to be late like he often is at work, so your heart skipped a beat to see him waiting. “Apologies for making you wait for me,” you bowed once you finally reached him.
Taking you by the chin, Ardyn lifted your head up and gave one of the signature smiles, “Not a problem. I would be happy to wait a thousand years for a beauty such as yourself,” he kissed the back of your hand with a wink. Though it was nothing out of the ordinary for him to say, there was something about it that felt chilling. “I see you’re as lovely as ever,” he offered as a compliment.
“I see you’re looking… the same as ever,” you quirked a brow. He wore his typical dark, layered outfit, though you were a bit relieved to see that he ditched the fedora for the night. ‘I quite prefer his wine-red hair uncovered,’ you admitted to yourself.
“Apologies,” he chuckled, “Believe it or not, I don’t own very many outfits.” Seeing how eccentric Ardyn was, you did believe him and nodded as confirmation. “Well then,” he said your name in a rather sultry way that made you blush, “shall we get going?” The chancellor offered his arm to you, which you timidly took.
The two of you shortly arrived at a low-lit, rather intimate restaurant. It was intimidating to an extent, you’d never bothered to go somewhere nice. Your life had been about eating quickly, eating cheap, and only eating when necessary. “I don’t know if I belong at a nice place like this,” you remarked with a laugh as the two of you were seated.
“Nonsense, it is my duty to treat my ever faithful assistant to something out of the norm,” Ardyn gestured around the room.
“Treating?” You opened your eyes wide. “That won’t be necessary. I can pay for it. Though I appreciate the thought,” you put on a smile.
“Absolutely not! I am the one who invited you after all.”
“Well then next time I have to pay!” You quickly smacked your hand over your mouth, realizing what you said and the implications of it.
“You are one of the most entertaining humans I have ever met,” Ardyn stifled a laugh. “But fine, if you are to ask me out, I will allow you to pay.”
“Ever the gentleman.”
The chatter the two of you kept over dinner was rather innocent and not professional, but not overly colloquial either. There were, however, multiple incidences of him reaching over the small table to get touches of your hand in. To be honest, you weren’t too shocked at the gesture, but it did garner a bit of surprise out of you when he instead clutched your pendant between his fingers.
“Such an interesting little thing,” the Chancellor pointed out. “Such an interesting little gem.” He examined the green crystal, the designs within, and the metal twining with fervor. “You wear it daily.”
You nodded. “It is very special to me, it is all I have of my parents,” a soft smile came to your face. “It was actually an anniversary gift to my mother, but after their death, it ended up in my hands.” You paused before continuing, “It is the only earthly possession I truly care for--my most precious treasure.”
“To care for something is quite a gift,” Ardyn spoke absentmindedly almost as if you weren’t there, but you hummed affirmatively anyways. The waiter brought the check, breaking the man out of what appeared to be deep thought. It was a fast transaction, and finally, the night was winding down to an end.
Ever the chivalrous man, Ardyn walked you to your living spaces. “Thank you for tonight,” you bowed deeply. “It was an honor to spend alone time with the Chancellor,”  the pleasantries slipped from your lips. It was a shock to find his fingers flicking your forehead, and you recoiled at the slight sensation.
“I thought I told you long ago not to act so, hmm, how to say… kiss-assy with me just cause you work for me,” the man rarely swore so you couldn’t fight the full smile and laugh that was drawn from you. He seemed pleased to have garnered such a reaction. “Sorry,” you managed to get out after another laugh.
“Well, dearest, it appears the night out is over. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.” You nodded in agreement. “I shall see you once the work week begins,” the ever cheeky Ardyn leaned down to give a kiss to your forehead where he had previously flicked it before quickly turning and waving goodbye.
As you tried to sleep, your face heated every time you thought of the peck. You were aware that the majority of his flatteries were empty, but it still gave you butterflies. You had never let anyone share contact like that with you after all. A deep sigh rose out of you, you had to brush off all the strange feelings before work began as usual; however, you didn’t know if Ardyn would ever let you do so. The man certainly knew how to press buttons you didn’t know existed.
‘What a pain.’

Robot Chicken #25: “Federated Resources” | April 9, 2006 – 11:30PM | S02E02
Man, I hate this show. I was sorta prepared for the idea of getting won over by it a little bit, or being able to discern an improvement from season one, but so far I find it as abrasive and shitty as ever.
There's a running sketch called “Dicks with Time Machines” where a jerk travels back in time and tampers with history in various rude ways, like feed J.K. Rowling false intel about her future success writing a children's novel about a farting raccoon with an afro, painting a Looney Tunes style tunnel on the side of a mountain for Paul Revere to crash into, and tampering with the ten commandments. This ends with him pranking Hitler by showing a video of him having diarrhea at one of his rallies, causing him to be labeled a HERO with a Time Machine. Bad sketch now that we know that J.K. Rowling is literally worse than Hitler.
There's a sketch where the Thundercat guy winds up on modern day Earth and has been trapped at the pound, only to be adopted by a little girl who treats him like a regular housecat. Then there's one where Clifford the big red dog is rambunctiously destroying the neighborhood so they get him neutered. This is sorta the same premise when you think about it, but what are you gonna do?
There's a sketch that I distinctly remember seeing before, where the Swedish Chef from the Muppets is going about his day and he sees a bunch of stuff that rhymes with “bork” (Bjork, Mork, Peter Tork, etc), and pointing them out and saying them. This sketch in particular really grated on me, and the only thing separating it from an actual children's television sketch was a violent flourish at the end involving an Orc. The punchline is that he goes home and yells at his wife in a different, more coherent voice. I don't know why but I just feel like I'm having keys dangled in front of me with this shit.
The last, lengthy sketch involves Corey Feldman and Corey Haim rescuing the Bush twins, who were in the news frequently for partying too much. This is a convoluted premise that doesn't even make sense, and is almost tailor-made to flatter the celebrity stars that they rope into voicing themselves. Here they are sorta adventure heroes, and the jokes that dig at them aren't really that caustic or personal. This also failed to make me feel anything, really.

Upfront 2006 Showcase (April 2, 2006)
On this night, Adult Swim, to make up for the April Fools stunt, presented a bunch of previews of upcoming shows. I sorta scrubbed through the above video, but I saw the following:
Frisky Dingo! Formally referred to as Whiskey Tango. Advertised as coming in September, but it came in October instead. From the twisted minds that brought you Sealab 2021.
Metalocalypse! From the twisted mind of one of the guys who brought you Home Movies. Advertised as coming in August, and it did!
That Crook'd 'Sip, aka That Crook'd 'Sipp. Advertised as coming this Fall, but the pilot didn't air until 2007 as part of the Night of 1000 Pilots event. If I recall correctly the animation looked slightly different from what we see here. The whole thing got scrapped and turned into Freaknik: The Musical, which was much better than the pilot we saw.
Assy McGee! I remember seeing most of these promos, and I especially remembered this one for how different it looked from the final product. The clip we see also features Jon Glaser which I don't think the actual series did at all? Billed as coming in December, but it came a little earlier than that.
Korgoth of Barbaria! Look, I scrubbed through the video so I'm not sure this was formally part of the preview event, but we did get a promo for Korgoth, which I think aired in the summer.
Lucy: The Daughter of the Devil, billed as coming soon, but it only used clips from the already-aired pilot. The series proper doesn't actually start until September 2007
Saul of the Mole People! Later retitled as Saul of the Molemen. Billed as “pilot coming soon”, and I remember it looking very fun. The pilot never formally aired. If I recall correctly they packaged a bunch of clips from the pilot that weren't used in the first episode and threw them on the website for a brief period of time. The first episode aired in February of 2007 and premiered alongside Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! As the first live-action shows formally introduced to the block.
MAIL BAG
Here's where we're at with chuck norris humor: there's a brewery in my city that has multiple stickers saying "chuck norris would wear a mask." Uh, he probably wouldn't
Very true. He’d probably give covid a dirty look and send it packing back to Wuhan!!!! He’d probably drop an atomic bomb on China and kill all the guys there! He’d probably commit genocide.
" And Harlem Globetrotters got matched up with Boondocks because I don’t wanna say why out loud." / Okay, I will say right now. The Harlem Globetrotters is an all-black basketball team and the Boondocks is a show with a mostly all-black cast. That's why you did it. Even though Riley and Huey don't present an interest in basketball you did it. You did it because you could. Lucky for you, there is an episode in season 2 all about baskeball, so I'm bailing you out of this one. You're Welcome!
Please let me be racist in peace. I don’t have friends, or money, or happiness, or success. I am tired of life and being alive. This is all I have.
