thinking thoughts about my kintype. i think i’m dogkin AND werewolf? in the sense of they’re separate but also connected.
i live life as a dog, but on occasion (not rare but not frequent) i’m much more wild and larger(?) than myself as i am normally. i think its:
dog->were-dog-wolf-thing->dog again
dog that’s a werewolf?

Summer is here and you are a werecreature with alot of fur. Now what?
The summer seasons can be a fun time for many, no work, no stress, only fun and relaxation under the sun and the moon!
But most werecreatures are very furry, and that hot thick fur could really get in the way and cause severe problems. So what should you do?
First, know what kind of fur you possess. Every creature has different kinds of furs, Wolves, Dogs, Cats, Hyenas, Coyotes and so on, the lenght, the thickness and how much you have has a major difference on how to properly maintain it and take care of it.
Once you do, ask a local vet or inform yourself with the internet and books about what these creatures would do in the summer heats, what keeps them cool and healthy during the heatwaves.
If by chance at night times, you have a major different appearance from the animal you are [Having more fur then a hyena usually has for exemple] you'll have to take direct action, even if you think you'll be OK, you can never be too careful.
Ask your most trusted friend to give you a trim and cut down that fur for the nights, ask them for company and to do things you're unable to do due to your size and clumsy clawed hands or paws, such as turning on the AC or fan or getting cool drinks in the fridge.
By the chance you arent conscious at night and turn savage/feral, you cant depend on a trim. You'll have to prepare before the night comes. Before you chain or lock yourself, get as many fans as you can and place them in front of where you stay, or turn the AC on in a low but cooling temperature as to not completly freeze the room. Replace your water with iced water and if only absolutely possible, keep the window open just a crack.
For day times, when you are a human, you will feel extra heated due to the werecreature symptoms and the mean sun, be sure to take just as good care as your human self as you would do with your nightly self. Drink plenty of water, eat very clean and fresh foods, eat some nice cool treats, have fun while you can! Enjoy a beach, a pool, out with friends, a picnic, enjoy life!
But what about the Scaley Werecreatures?
Scaley creatures such as lizards, snakes, crocodiles and such arent as much in danger as furry werecreatures, the scales are strong against heat and these creatures actually enjoy the heat. But they are stil not immune to the same cares that the furry werecreatures are reccomended.
Be sure to take plenty of cold showers, while the scales are able to handle the heat, you may not notice you could be overheating, so pay attention and be sure to refresh yourself regularly. Drink plenty of water and eat lots of refreshing fruits to keep you cool.
During the night times, if possible, have a friend over to help cool you down, scales in the summer could compromise movement and you could get a little hard to move, having a friend will help reach those tough spots. Some icepacks on the scales could be refreshing and relaxing at the same time
If you arent conscious at night times and become savage/feral, once again, keep the fans or AC on and have some cool water next to the cages or chains.
With all that said, have fun in the sun fellow werecreatures! be safe and keep howling!
