Any games/shows/mangas/etc you plan on avoiding or never getting into? (Ex avoiding One Piece for the length, etc)

Yeah, not so much as avoiding but some stuff just. don't interest me, you know? It's a matter of personal taste, nothing to do with length or stuff - I'm into the Cosmere, my dude, length doesn't scare me. Of course my list is always subject to change as I grow up and stuff, for example I used to dislike reading plays and now I quite enjoy them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Here are some stuff I don't see myself getting into as of now or near future: Les Rougon-Macquart, bit-lit, crime novels, Game of Thrones

I've tried crime novels by different authors and it's not my thing (interestingly, I do love My Home Hero and Hannibal 🤔). Bit-lit just doesn't interest me. I have a personal grudge against Emile Zola for having read Germinal in high-school. I've watched the first episode of GoT and promptly closed the tab <- it was quite a few years ago so I might try again in a few years and see if I was just too young for it at the time. Additionally, anything with a "tiktok famous" sticker on it is actively repulsive to me lol

Also, regarding One Piece: I did try! It's interesting and I like the characters and stuff, but I watched the anime and the pace is. bad. so I've dropped it (watched up to, like, ep 200 + Marineford). But I loved the Netflix series! I might one day go for the manga when I have more brain space! Who knows? Not me.

But one thing I don't see changing, tbh, is the fact that I'm not getting into games. That's not for me. I have no interest in playing and I've tried to watch some playthroughs of games whose lore interest me and I just. can't. Games aren't for me. RIP TG Jail.... maybe one day Glénat will translate the scenario book and I'll get to know you but in the meantime you will remain oh so far away from me

- is pretty neutral when it comes to any types of game, he’s pretty good at them though

- sees them as a distraction, especially whenever he tries to talk to you and your playing hole.io

- if it’s a raining day and the two of you are bored, he’ll absolutely suggest board games though

- if he wins the game he’ll go “i won” with a silly smirk and placing his cards down on the table leaving you frustrated and fuming. Sometimes if he’s really feeling himself, you guys can go multiple rounds (lmao)

- if YOU win, you can see a little twitch in his face but he won’t get too riled up. “Good job, let’s go something else now.” He’s a little bit of a sore loser, but he tries horribly not to show it.

- you suggest something like Minecraft though and he acts like he’s 8

- cracked at building houses, probably has 3 dogs and has a bed placed next to yours <3

- lovessss games ( cannon!1!1!11! )

- play fighting, races, board games, video games, you name it. Even if he doesn’t know how to play it, trust me, he WILL learn.

-when he’s with you, he’s calm and more sweet with them. He lets you gloat if you manage to beat him in Mario kart, knowing he’ll destroy you next time.

- sometimes you’ll play something more slow-paced like stardew valley and animal crossing

- if he’s with Yuuji it gets hella competitive ( older siblings vibes )

-You’d suggest Uno as a game and show choso how to play

- trust when i say all three of you are probably having shouting matches, slamming down cards on the table, and demanding rematches.

- Apologizes afterwards “sorry…i got a little carried away. BUT-” and then you guys start having a ‘passionate’ conversation on how you absolutely cheated

- also neutral about games, thinks they’re appropriate for certain times

- probably plays like sudoko, crossword puzzles or some old man type stuff.

- you try teaching him a racing style game, only to find out he’s cracked.

- “Oh hm, i won again.” He’d say nonchalantly, mouth turning into a smile as he saw your open mouth and irritated brows

- he secretly plays like candy crush and that one panda game on his work tablet like a little iPad kid.

- he probably wears those blue light glasses whenever he uses a screen to play a game :sob:

ʚ saturo

- also lovesss games

- probably plays games like street fighter, streets of rage etc.

- will show you how to do special moves, but then also gate-keeps some whenever you play 1v1

- says something like “a good sorcerer never reveals all his tricks” or something nerdy like that

- he’s actually a cheater

-whenever you guys are racing, he’d probably start running before you finish counting down.

-if you guys are playing a board game, probably has some cards up his ass

ʚ yuuji

- plays every single video game ever and IS GOOD AT THEM

- probably plays Fortnite, wouldn’t be surprised if he had a twitch channel too

- has a whole gaming setup and sh and definitely gets into “a zone” whenever he’s playing.

- probably also hacks and cheats in games just to mess with you and choso

- you guys have probably had a competition to see who can fit the most grapes in your mouth

this is possibly gonna get deleted later but im speculating on what video games the black phone gang would play

Vance would like retro games. Virtual pinball is a dead giveaway but I think other small arcade games like that would interest him too. like street fighter, that one zombie shooter that's in every arcade. He'd like resident evil. But secretly I think he also has a few cozy games. Like he and Bruce have a stardew farm he loves so dearly. He's also got the prettiest Animal Crossing island and insanely detailed perspective builds. He will not show you.

Bruce would have a pretty predictable selection, I feel. Stardew, Story of Seasons, Minecraft, etc. But he also plays stuff like Hades and Bayonetta! And he likes them a lot. When he starts playing Cult of the Lamb, everyone is really surprised. More so when his leadership style isn't gentle.

Finn is more of a multiplayer kinda guy. He plays with Robin and Gwen most days so his defaults are things they play together. He has a few he plays on his own like Mario or Yoshi's Island. He likes quieter games where there's no real stress (or death)

Robin is an fps and horror gamer most days. Unless he's playing with the others, you'll find him playing anything from Gears of War to Puppet Combo type stuff. He got into RE because of Vance and they only made it through 6 by complaining to each other about things they disliked with it.

Griffin is a cozy game boy. He's got an insanely pretty island on Animal Crossing. (not as good as Vance's but they have a secret agreement and he gives Griffin help if no one is around) He's played Potion Permit, Story of Seasons, Stardew, Rune Factory, etc. He's also the RPGMaker expert. And games like Spiritfarer and To The Moon are experiences he cherishes dearly.

Billy is also multi-genre. He plays anything that peaks his interest. He's the best at puzzle games though so he really likes Pictograph or Layton. Ace Attorney is another game he really enjoys. He also has the best time management in Pikmin.

Gwen will tell you she's a cozy gamer and she has the hours in ACNH and various other games to back it up. She played a lot of the same games Griffin did and they both learned to play For River together. Coffee Talk is a very special game to her. But she also could smoke you out in GTA and is more aggressive than even Vance when they all play Mario Kart. She's definitely completed a genocide run in Undertale.

Petra: at some point in their relationship, Petra and Ava started resolving many of their arguments via video games. Their go-to debate-settlers are Mario Kart, Pokemon Stadium, and Pokemon Puzzle League. (it should probably be noted that half the time, this just results in their debating the merits of specific builds in Mario Kart or team composition in Stadium. bickering: a love language.) Holland has gotten into the habit of periodically stealing Nate’s phone to snap photos of anything and everything if she thinks it’ll make him smile. silly selfies, candids of UB, cute dogs she's encountered, etc. she also set his lock screen to shuffle through the subsequent album she’s been amassing on his phone. (look, if she knows nothing else about this man, she knows that he is a) terrible at navigating even the most basic functionalities of his phone and b) sentimental as hell and therefore would probably do this himself if he knew how)

happy hcs:

Holland doesn’t usually play guitar for/around other people (and she definitely doesn’t tend to sing unless she’s alone.) HOWEVER: she babysits Verda and Eric’s kids somewhat regularly (or did, I guess, before her life became a million percent busier) and when she does, she absolutely plays and sings for Cara and Lacey because it makes them so happy. (I also hc that at some point, Tina introduced the girls to Beyonce and now Holland knows a LOT more acoustic covers of Destiny’s Child and B-Day-era songs than she ever expected she would). Petra is a self-proclaimed junk food connoisseur, and as such has defined opinions on things like which fast food places have the best-tasting diet coke and which limited edition oreos are the most elite. she once did a blind taste test of diet sodas and correctly identified no fewer than five distinct sodas (and she does consider this to be an accomplishment, despite how appalled some people* seem to find this). *some people are, of course, Ava and Nat.

more random tf2 headcannons :) (modern addition!)

Engineer likes Lego’s. He LOVES the fact that there’s a toy out there that empowers kids to create, he loves the Lego typewriter and is obsessed with the Lego creators sets. (Bonsai tree, sky wars mask, etc.) if you ask him about it he’ll be like “I think it’s great kids are learnin’ to build such things.” But he will never admit he actually wants the legos. Give him legos? So happy. In general, he likes puzzles. He loves games that have puzzles like Portal.

Pyro loves video games. Any game he’s up for it. I can see him as a MAJOR Kirby fan. He’d probably play Kirby games all day long if he got the chance to. Sometimes when he notices Engie working a little too much, he will drag him to their room and play Mario kart together. Sometimes he asks others, like scout!

Heavy doesn’t play many video games, but wanna know what he likes? Chess. He loves strategy and often plays with Medic, Spy, and Engineer. Snipers quite good at it, but he likes to watch instead so he can see how much each player struggle against each other. He finds it funny, yet insanely interesting.

Demoman and Soldier shop a lot. for the most random bullshit they can find. On some nights when everyone is asleep, they’ll sneak out to like a target and pick out the most random bullshit they can find. If anyone catches them while they try to sneak out, they ask them to come along. One time Scout and heavy came along and heavy ended up having a migraine over the three men wearing the most ridiculously stupid looking yet expensive clothing anyone has ever bought. He thinks it’s funny but is also questioning the amount of money they’ve spent in one night. He’s never coming with ever again.

Scout is really good at ALL the arcade games. But one thing he’s super good at? Claw machines and fucking DDR. He thinks of it as fun legwork and loves the competitive aspect of it. Trust me when I say he’s full combod all the fucking hard songs. Sometimes he’d just play to let out the stress tho. He’d play songs like Love Is Orange, A, and of course a CLASSIC fucking Butterfly (if u don’t know any of these songs I understand because barely nobody knows these, I just play a shit ton of ddr)

Medic has a twitter account where he just spams about how annoying the other mercs are at the medbay, if they’re treating him badly expect a whole thread on it. It’s private, everyone is on there and miss Pauling likes to reply and absolutely cackles at his tweets.

Spy is one of those competitive sports fans, but not in terms of sport, in terms of music. I can see him talking about his favorite jazz artist then go crazy that a pop artist who’s “nothing like *insert his fav artist*” is at the top of the billboard charts.

“HE IS MUCH MORE TALENTED THAN ANY OF THESE IDIOTIC POPSTARS. HOW THEY MAKE THESE VILE SONGS…ITS NOT ART! Nothing will compare to him, his music is like heaven to one’s ear…*rambles*”

Sniper goes to pet adoption centers to play around with the pets. He has this dog he plays with a lot, her name is Molly and he adores her.

“Your a cheeky girl aren’t cha? Your so cute…yes you are, yes you are.” He says as he’s petting Molly in his arms.

Nobody knows this except Pauling, who caught him while she was in the area. He walked in with a frown but walked out with the happiest grin shes ever seen on any man.

wholesome headcanons (digimon edition)

i’m doing this for haikyuu on my kagehina blog and after reading Onee-chan by @patamon, i’ve been inspired to do it for my chosen bbys so here it goes:

daisuke teaches ken how to cook; you’d think it’d be the other way around, but if his mother isn’t around, ken resorts to depression meals. this becomes daisuke teaching the rest of the 02 kids cos hikari can barely boil water, miyako relies on her family’s convenience store snacks, takeru’s diet consists of mainly tv dinners unless he goes to yamato’s, and iori just wants to learn to help out his family

takeru starts calling sora Nee-san at like 12—it’s an accident at first but then he just continues to call her that and sora’s secretly warmed by it

you can’t tell me koushiro doesn’t game on like Steam or something, he really enjoys puzzle games. he’s secretly competitive and loves online play.

the chosen share acct info for many active subscriptions/streaming services and it’s kind of the perfect set up:

the chosen have a discord server that started for digital world-related things but evolved into a chaotic mess of digimon/pet pics, tv show/book/anime/manga/music recs, memes, school/homework help, advice, and other random shenanigans

koushiro gets a dog. yes i know i wrote abt this already but i can’t stop thinking abt koushiro being a lonely kiddo and his mom knows

food is a great way to bribe someone—jou with coffee, takeru & hikari with sweets, koushiro with tea, etc.

hikari has a massive sticker collection, she hoards them the way taichi hoards video games

miyako is not above commissioning fanfics from takeru; she writes them herself too but gets a lot of writing pointers from takeru

mimi has a big following on social media and she pulls a lot of the other chosen into it, including an exasperated jou, a very confused koushiro, and ofc famous rock icon Ishida Yamato

after (prbly accidentally) learning that ken suffers from depression, the older chosen create a separate chat for mental health <333 they’re always finding ways to spend time together so nobody is lonely (lookin at you, takeru)

Thanks! And sorry this is like a week late- I got busy lmao.

Anyways! Wee fun mac hc time!!

Joe: Mac and Joe hanging out would be 1 of 2 options. Either they're going to a small bookstore and then a coffee shop just to chill n read. Or Mac is dragging Joe to his friend's house so they can all watch scurry movies with his goth buds. No in between and both enjoy both options equally.

Kaiser: Field trip. Literally, that's it. Kaiser would treat Mac like one of his students and take him to a museum or something. Mind you, it isn't a BORING museum- probably something sports related if anything- but it's not exactly what Mac pictured when he asked to hang out. They also get pizza and ice cream for lunch :)

Disco: Hanging out at Disco's place and just playing. They spend most of the time being silly with instruments and then wind down with some Mario party or something.

Hippo: Mac would end up learning a new language OR they'd end up playing with all of Hippo's hot wheels. Hippo is a big linguistics guy and Mac likes to listen to people talk so Mac would just end up sitting quietly the whole time while Hippo infodumps stuff at him. Hippo would also feed him and let him play with the hot wheels in his house if he's careful.

Hondo: They'd make cosplays and watch anime together! Mac's a p observant guy so he'd pick up on Hondo's sewing machine, ask about it, and they'd end up building some Naruto stuff from spare fabric from there. Lotsa fun!! They'd also go to a bunch of sushi restruants and try all they're stuff- til they're sick at least lol.

Bear: Hiking and magic animal adventures the whole way! Mac's a city kid through and through so the woods freak him out a bit- good thing Bear and his animal friends are there to ease his fears! Mac also ends up learning a lot about the ecosystem and plant life around where Bear lives so bonus points for cool learning stuff.

Tiger: Tiger would probably bore Mac with trying to teach him chess at first before switching to showing him how he makes his music. He'd also convince the boy to watch mlp with him and they'd just binge it until Doc calls asking where his boy is. Tiger would probably accidentally teach Mac poker. Whoops.

Don: Don would take him to a street fair or a market and IMMEDIATELY lose him. He'd spend the next 5 hours trying to hunt him down and end up finding him less than a foot of where he last saw him. After that, hand-holding is mandatory. They'd also get gelato together and watch Carmen do her clown shtick (Don won't shut up about how wonderful she is lol)!

Aran: Aran would treat him like one of his younger siblings and keep a hard eye on him. He'd take mac to an age and sensory appropriate place, so probably an art fair or a festival that he can easily escape if he needs to. He also makes sure Mac is fed a hearty meal, drinks water, and has as much fun as possible. No way in hell is he gonna get caught being an irresponsible adult when they're together. He's also teach Mac an artsy thing or two (Basic painting, welding, sculpting, etc.)

Soda: Soda would definitely be an irresponsible adult around Mac and overfill him with fun things. They'd go to a big ass amusement or water park together, eat nothing but soda and sugar, and they'd fuck around until they're left overstimulated and sick. Doc and/or Bull has to come and pick them up.

Bull: Inside activities ONLY. No way is Bull going out. But they end up having fun with puzzles and making friendship bracelets. They play Mario kart and then some more chill games and get pizza too!

Macho: Swimming all day for sure. Mac doesn't know how to swim so Macho ends up having to teach him the basics but they have fun either way. And after they're all done and sunburnt, they go inside and play halo and drink capri sun until Doc picks Mac up.

Sandy: Another responsible adult! He wouldn't have much of a plan per se, so him and Mac would end up goofing off in random parts of whatever city they're in- going to parks, the zoo, a museum, whatever until they're tuckered out.

Evie x Aiden gaming headcanons

As requested by @inlocusmads, here are some of my gaming related headcanons for Evie and Aiden. Many of these are actually some of my oldest headcanons, back from when I first got into Choices. Here's what I've got as of now:

Evie:

Evie is more of a casual gamer, but she does have a lot of games she enjoys. Minecraft, Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart DS, and Among Us are some of her biggest favorites. And also a couple of oddly satisfying mobile games. And whatever the Choices universe equivalent to Choices and HSS Prime is.

Evie was also a major frequenter of sites like CoolMath during 4th-6th grade and she still enjoys them. Some of her favorites includes Sushi Cat, Papa's Pizzaria/Taco Mia/Burgeria/etc., Bloons + Bloons Tower Defense, and Fireboy and Watergirl. Luckily she does get a chance to show them to Aiden before the end of Adobe Flash.

Aiden:

Aiden is utter crap at computer games. The only ones he's good at are stuff like Smule Magic Piano (which Evie would struggle with more) and Minecraft creative mode.

And 75% of Aiden's Minecraft-playing is composing or recreating songs with the note blocks.

He sometimes does Minecraft Survival mode but the only way he can really last is if Evie's in the world with him and they're working together.

He barely manages Mario Kart, but can't drift for shit.

He openly insults Fortnite.

Sometimes he'll go into a game like Mario Party thinking it'll be easy, only to be absolute dogshit at it.

Yes, Aiden is even crap at Tetris. His screen legit looked like this on his first attempt at the game.

He is not a fan of Among Us (despite that he willingly played "Mafia" on the boat in after-prom). To him, it's just people "running around and blaming each other". He especially hates being the imposter because, in his own words from the Mafia game, "I can't lie to save my life".

Actually I think Aiden would be pretty good at stuff like Interactive Story games like Evie does too.

Myra is always teasing him about how bad he is at most video games and often likes to mention his least favorites to annoy him.

Evie: "Aiden you're usually very dexterous when it comes to instruments, but you're bad at video games?" Aiden: "Playing the piano and playing on a gaming console are two completely different things."

Both of them:

Evie and Aiden regularly have double dates with Nishan and Sakura where they play 2-on-2 video games, usually battlegrounds-style games. Their rounds are of course very short-lived because Aiden is crap at the games, but they're still fun nonetheless.

I haven't played it myself yet but I can totally see the two of them getting into Fall Guys. Evie likes the cute fall guy avatars.

Evie (with some minimal help from Aiden) trying to design a sort of a big fancy "dream house" for them in Minecraft.

Something something they squee over Minecraft cats together a lot

Evie would try to teach Aiden a lot of the video games she's good at. He'd slowly improve at most of them.

The two of them totally obsess over video games with awesome soundtracks, even if they haven't played the games themselves. But it sometimes may lead them to getting into the games. Eg. Evie loves the soundtracks for the Super Mario Galaxy games, she'd show it to Aiden and they'd obsess over them, and at one point or another, they'd feel compelled to buy the games.

I think a habit both of them would also have in certain video games is: they start a game, but if the soundtrack is really good, they'll just make their character do nothing or run around aimlessly in it so that they can keep the music + sound effects going on because they don't want it to stop. They do this a LOT with Mecha Bowser battle in Super Mario Galaxy 1.

I think they'd sometimes use app versions of classic board games (chess, checkers, etc).

They'd definitely enjoy puzzle games like minesweeper. They're each pretty good at the puzzle games on their own, but it's extra fun to work on them together. Also Aiden sitting in Evie's lap while they play the games.

Random Thoughts About Cornelius/Lewis I think about way too often

Title is self explanatory. Mostly headcanons under the cut.

I wonder what else he's picky about? Why would he make a PB&J gun? Because he's like me. Portions on certain foods need to be EXACTLY TO MY SPECIFICATIONS otherwise I'll break down. So if he's picky about a simple PB&J, what else is he picky over? I think he doesn't like a lot of spaghetti sauce on pasta, or he just orders butter pasta. He probably never has any kind of liquid/creamy based thing on subs, like mayo or dressings. Also can't stand coconut. Just a vibe.

I don't think Neil tolerates heat very well. I feel like on really hot Summer days, the last thing he wants to do is go outside... unless it's to a pool. Because he gets heat sick very easily, and he feels like he's gonna puke but he knows he's not but because he feels like he is he's just in an eternal cycle of suffering. I'm not speaking from experience what are you talking about...

Loud/sudden loud noises are probably a sensitive thing for Cornelius. I feel like when he was younger he'd hate the sound of blenders, mixers, rumble strips on roads, lightning, etc. As well as shrill/cringe inducing noises such as styrofoam rubbing against styrofoam, crinkling/ripping/rubbing plastic, squeaky markers on whiteboards, buzzing from flies and bees, and squeaky shoes on linoleum floors.

Do you think Neil ever goes into one of those little travel bubbles and just kinda floats through the air? Like to be in a calming environment.

I think besides dogs, he also wants a pet snake. It was like that when he was a kid, and as an adult, he still wants a pet snake.

Cornelius has a very specific way of doing things, and if you mess up that system by cleaning his mess for him, you're dead!

I think in general he has sleep issues. Especially when Neil is on business trips. He's only comfortable (and used to) sleeping in his own environment, so any other environment messes with his routine enough to make him toss and turn.

In case it wasn't already obvious, I think Cornelius is autistic. Self diagnosed later on down the line. I feel like the physical symptom he displays the most (aside from fidgeting) is toe walking.

Let's face it... Lewis in the movie is kind of an irritable jerk. But I think this is explained by his past. He always keeps his guard up and he never wants to get close to anybody because they always leave him. Hence why he scolds himself for letting himself think Wilbur was a friend, rather than scolding Wilbur for lying after he found out.

He didn't like frogs at first because "Ew, slimy."

He was definitely the type to always get picked last in gym class. Neil can't catch a ball to save his life... but he is a pretty fast runner.

Another vibe I get, but I feel like there were those times when he wished Mr. Willerstein could be his dad. He was essentially the only thing close to a father figure he had in his life before he got adopted. We don't see much screen time with them interacting, but it's clear Lewis and Mr. Willerstein had a pretty good teacher-student relationship. Hell, I even feel like Lewis would prefer to spend his lunch hour with his teacher instead of in the cafeteria with everybody being loud and annoying.

If Neil is gonna play any game, it's gotta have good puzzles. So what I'm saying is he probably played a lot of Professor Layton. But because he grew up during the DS, Wii, and Gamecube era, he's probably nostalgic for those Zelda games (Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword), Mario games (New Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Galaxy 1 & 2, Mario Kart DS, Mario Party DS, Double Dash, Sunshine, Paper Mario), as well as the Metroid and Megaman games which would've been in circulation during that time period. For some reason, I don't think he was ever interested in Pokemon. I feel like that's more Franny's schtick.

Cornelius does NOT like horror games. Unless it's FNaF, because it's not actually scary most of the time.

He either sleeps in the softest blankets known to man or he ain't sleeping at all.

Neil may be one of the smartest men on Earth, yes, but he still has his dumb moments. Like when he's trying to find the syrup in the pantry for his pancakes, and he can't find it so he asks Wilbur for help. Then Wilbur proceeds to find the bottle of syrup that was right in front of Neil's face the whole time, and he somehow didn't register its existence.

Lewis prefers longer socks to normal length socks, because he blisters easily. But also because there are more fun varieties.

Frogs he can learn to love. But small, spindly spiders? NOPE NOPE NOPE. Tarantulas? He loves them because they're fuzzy and the perfect petting size! But the minute the spiders get smaller he is OUT. He hates bugs in general, really. The minute he finds a spider, ant, bee, or any bug in his house he will bomb the residence then move to Mars.

Sleep Token and Games: Headcanons

Continuation of @frogwithhatto 's big yummy n juicy headcanons go check it out: mMmMmmM devour

**I'm putting links to gameplay videos for each game, I hope you can imagine perfectly how all or each of them play these games.

Besides Mario Kart, I think the boys would also play FPS games like Valorant (yes I'm projecting shut up), Call of Duty, CS:GO, etc. Also, games involving choices like Detroit Become Human.

While they're playing FPS games Vessel is the strategic mastermind, telling them to check all points, where to go, etc. III is the most competitive one, he will whine and complain when he misses a headshot. IV always backs up III, while II is usually behind them all guarding their backs.

In DBH they discuss the pros and cons of making the choices. This sometimes leads up to little arguing, but Vessel always knows his way to calm his kids.

When they need a little giggle, they will play funny multiplayer games like Fall Guys or Gang Beasts.

Vessel plays games like Minecraft and Tetris. He would build the most intricate and majestic buildings, a place of Worship, and he could spend HOURS on it.

Vessel in into a bit of Temple Run or Subway Surf. Onet too. Also any kind of word games. He just wants to relax and get comfy.

II loves Nintendo, but he also loves games that have a complicated storyline and great world-building like Rain World and Stray.

III LOVES competitive games such as Fall Guys, Rocket League, all those FPS games. He often plays FIFA with IV too.

IV likes to play puzzles. 2048, spot-the-differences and finding things type of game (idk what it's called lol).

IV is also into managing theme park kinda games e.g. Planet Coaster. III would always interrupt him, making funny and betraying the law of physics buildings and rollercoaster tracks. IV loves horror games too.

Sometimes I like to imagine myself going back in time and leaking gaming news on 4chan, imagining how I'd do it and what the reaction would be. Like if I were to go back in time to 2016, I'd probably do something like this:

>NX is called the Nintendo Switch

>Launches March 2017 for $299. Main gimmick is it's a handheld that can also plug into a dock to output to the TV. The buttons and sticks to the sides of the handheld screen can slide off and be used as two small one-stick controllers for multiplayer, or you can slide them both into a controller grip for a more traditional two-stick controller. Limited to 720p in handheld mode but can output 1080 when connected to the dock. Specs are above Wii U but not by much.

>Launch lineup is pretty meager - three first-party games and it's carried by Zelda Wii U (final name Breath of the Wild). Game will still come out on Wii U but will be delayed to launch on both Wii U and Switch the same day.

>The other first-party launch titles are 1-2 Switch and Snipperclips. 1-2 Switch is a casual party game utilizing the gimmicks of the controller (motion controls, rumble), basically a Wii shovelware-type game. Snipperclips is a simple two-player puzzle game in which you both control characters made of paper and you cut each other into different shapes to solve puzzles, meant to showcase how the Switch can do multiplayer right out of the box.

>Even with weak launch lineup, first year is absolutely STACKED with games. Nintendo learned their lesson with the Wii U and has been working to give the Switch a strong impression right out of the gate. First year titles are:

>Super Mario Odyssey, new 3D Mario game in the style of 64/Sunshine/Galaxy

Guess who? I come with another dose of gamer lads.

Jayce has too much music on his phone to really download mobile games so Vik has a small collection for him on his phone.

The rest of his mobile game arsenal is for himself and it mostly consists of puzzle/strategy games. Sometimes Jayce will take long trips to E3, Q2 etc and Vik will tag along so he needs something to keep him busy during the travel. It always ends up with him getting irritable about not understanding a puzzle and wordlessly thrusting the phone into Jayce's hand.

He has animal jam installed for serotonin reasons. Sometimes a cute lil kids game is needed to wind down.

They have a Wii. It's from Jayce's childhood, old and falling apart, but still works and is the decider for most arguments. Viktor used to complain so much about not needing the straps that Jayce eventually left him to it.

Then he broke the TV.

One minute he was boxing, the next the remote had yeeted itself across the room into the screen. He didn't even bother saying anything, just put the nunchuck down and walked out.

Their favourite game to play is mario kart because it's easier to play for long lengths of time without Vik's leg complaining. Of course Jayce insists on using the wheel and Vik refuses to put his on purely to bask in Jayce's horror.

They keep tabs on how many tournaments they've each won but there's constant discourse after Jayce forgot to count them up during one of their sessions. Vik swears he's in the lead but Jay is confident he's 2 up. It's become tradition for the loser to do the dishes.

They try their hand at Apex Legends and, entirely unexpectedly, Vik immediately dumps a bunch of money into the game because give him Loba immediately!

His gameplay is based around dropping behind squads and giving Jayce an opening before being downed by a different squad he forgot to look out for. He's not the best at battle royales. Fortnite was easier because it was mostly building your own fortress and sniping.

Jayce has absolutely no clue who he likes to play, there's too many characters and they all have fun ways to change his playstyle. He usually closes his eyes and randomly selects a character. He landed on Loba once and could almost hear the glare through his headset.

He is heavily carrying the team and, whilst V is improving the more they play, Jayce can hear his mounting frustration. He opts to only ask to play it every so often because he's fully aware that Vik's stubbornness would have him play until he was shaking with rage.

Arcade trips are few and far between. V hates the 10p game because he swears it's rigged and his prizes keep getting stuck mid fall, Jayce dominates on all race games and they both suck at the basketball one. Their hand dexterity is on point, their hand-eye coordination, less so.

They found a niche little retro arcade entirely made up of classic arcade machines. V tends to rarely play himself, mostly content to spout interesting facts about the games and how they were made as Jayce tries to beat the highscore.

Jay sometimes plays the games he has no interest in/dislikes just to hear what Vik has to say about them. It's one of his favourite places for this reason alone.

Jayce is godawful at setting up streams. He has a countdown for when the stream will start but his audience have taken to adding on 20 minutes to cover the inevitable 10 problems he'll have when he tries to start.

Viktor pretty much always has to walk in and fix his problems in person because apparently his incredibly helpful - entirely sarcasm filled - instructions in chat weren't getting the man any closer to fixing his audio.

Jayce once manaaged to topple his entire camera - tripod and all - mid-stream and no one (not even himself) could explain how. And that was just after restarting the stream after accidentally pulling out his entire power cord!!

I might start revisiting games I've played a while back for ideas. I mean any reason to play a game is a good one XD

These are one of the highlights of my week, Anon!!! I love these so much.

It's not that Jayce doesn't know how to fix his stream but it's hard to focus when you have thousands of people watching you and waiting for you to make yourself look like an idiot. Viktor has nerves of steel though so they balance each other out.

[I know you asked for these boys x gamer s/o, but it ended up turning into, ‘what kind of gamers are they?’ If you’d like me to redo them, let me know! - cheesy]

Sova:

Sova is interested in many things, and has an open mind. Thus, he will try anything once. This includes gaming. He sees you on your device or console a lot, and since he hears you laughing or whining about a game, he wants to know what going on too.

When you offer tot each him, he’s ecstatic. He loves to learn something new. When sit him down in front of the tv or laptop, he’s unsure what to do. He’s never played video games. He looks so cute when he’s confused.

You’ll have to guide him slowly, and thankfully, Sova is a patient learner. He doesn’t get upset if he doesn’t get it right away. Everything comes with discipline and practice. With time, he gets the hang of the controller/mouse and keyboard

Don’t be surprised if he suddenly gets better than you quickly. Sova is also a quick learner, and his hand-eye coordination is off the charts. Sorry!

Whenever you lose in a game, he’s there to comfort you, if the loss means a lot. He’s your biggest fan, and will help you if you want it.

Sova’s game selection would be a mixture of something relaxing or something fast paced. Animal Crossing fits the bill for relaxing, and Hades fits something fast paced. He also enjoys hidden object games, to train his eye. He will occasionally play fps games as well. Like Valorant! Lol!

Cypher:

Cypher’s played a few arcade games in his youth, he’s not unfamiliar with joysticks and buttons. A mouse and keyboard would be a bit harder, though. So he prefers a controller. Yes, get him a nintendo switch. He will love it.

He likes having to do things with his hands. If he’s not doing something, he gets a little antsy. Having a portable controller with him makes his day better. He takes it with him on missions. He really shouldn’t, but he does.

Cypher can get a little competitive with games, and he loves that the two of you can enjoy gaming together. He prefers cartoony competitive games, so that he doesn’t take it too seriously. Like mario kart. But the amount of times he’s nearly thrown the joycons at the tv for getting a blue shell are too many haha.

Cypher’s game selection would be puzzle games and cartoony fighting games, like Smash Bros, and Street Fighter. He’s really good at those, as they were the type of games he played a lot when he was younger.

He loves the rush that comes with figuring out how something works, or getting the answer to something. You’d find him playing games like hidden objects, escape rooms, etc. He also really likes Among Us. Deception and lying roll right off his tongue (for funsies). He’s too good at not being suspicious.

Also wii sports for some reason. He loves wii sports.

Omen:

Omen is just not a gamer, period. He’s not interested in it. Besides, it’s not stimulating enough anyway. That is not to say he won’t lurk by you and wonder what you’re up. He’ll grumble about it regardless.

When you offer to try to play games together, Omen will agree. He chose to be with you, so he’ll want to be a part of whatever you’re doing too. He’ll cast aside a bunch of games. It takes a lot of coaxing and trial and error, but eventually, the two of you settle on a few genres.

If he has to play games, Omen will choose story based role playing games that are open world, and let you explore. He seems to lean towards fantasy, or historical rpgs, like Breath of the Wild, Assassin’s Creed, and Skyrim.

Omen likes to take his time with these games- also he doesn’t know what buttons to press half of the time. Instead of following main quests, Omen prefers to explore on his own. Yes, that includes reading a lot of the stories inside Skyrim, or riding around in Breath of the Wild, or just jumping off as many high points as he can in Assassin’s Creed.

He’d prefer if you stayed with him while he played games. He doesn’t mind backseat gamers, and actually likes that you can tell him what to do, so he doesn’t get too frustrated.

What your parts favorite things or what do they prefer to do if they haven't picked a favorite?

Oh favorite things are hard, but a lot of us enjoy different things.

H is really passionate about tea, we have a lot of different varieties and nice tea boxes to keep the tea in and everything. When she's around she almost always makes a mug of tea. The rest of us like tea and all, but she's the one who will always have tea without fail. We have a stash at work too. She likes Sweet Cinnamon Spice best.

T says he likes cleaning but that's not his favorite thing I don't think. I know he likes being in nature. He likes the woods and he likes sitting in grass. He likes knight stuff too, and wolves. I can't say what his favorite thing is but I know he likes those things.

Mimi really likes pink. Which sounds silly I think but having things be pink just makes her happy. She's kinda picky with the shade though. She also likes her "spa days" where if we have some hours free or nothing to do that day she'll do a whole Thing with doing nails and face mask and putting on music.

Seba (who's here) likes, and this sounds kinda odd, but figuring things out? He likes puzzles (jigsaw puzzles, puzzle games, etc) and the feeling of finally figuring out how things work. Like, a lot of us like Legend of Zelda for different reasons but he really likes the temples and all their puzzles.

Max likes birds. And woods and wide open spaces that scare me. They like driving (or being driven, we don't drive) on the highway and going fast. They like a lot of things that really scare me.

I have a part that doesn't have a name who likes, IDK how to describe it, old fashioned things? Tea parties with finger foods and dresses with puffy sleeves and that kind of thing.

Jay is really liking the fountain pens we've been getting. They're the one who does the most writing in our journals and stuff like that. I don't know a whole lot about his tastes apart from that. He doesn't share much.

I (Jin, mostly) really like games, any kind of game but mostly games you can play with other people. I really like Mario Party (it's the only Mario game I like, other than Mario Kart) and other party video games. There's a mode in Sonic and the Secret Rings that's a party game like that and I used to beg people to play it with me haha.

There's a lot of things we all really like, these are mostly things that we like individually that aren't collectively shared, or are especially strong w only one of us. There's a lot of stuff we all like!
