I keep promising myself that ONE DAY, I will do enough research into 1800s China to write a proper Temeraire fic taking place there. But there's sooooo much I would want to research first. Even if I skimmed over court details as much as possible - which I don't want to do, tbh - it would just feel very shallow. And it's hard to properly flesh out any characters without any understanding of court life, dynamics between different classes... also just, you know, common beliefs? Attitudes? Religious beliefs too, etc etc.
One day! Hopefully. And we just get so little of Mianning (much less the other Chinese characters) it's hard to do them justice :( Doesn't help that no one really wants to tell Laurence or the aviators what they're actually thinking lol.

Taming a Corrupted Slave Man - By Purple Village (8.5/10)
Tumblr media
Love is off the table. Everything is a lie. Constant mind games. It's exhausting. Our protagonist is kind of a sociopath but I get it. Being the only woman with healing powers in the country is crazy stressful. The problem is everybody is crazy, and all of the love stories here end in blood. There's a surprise twist yandere too.
Aren is the only daughter of a very special family. Literally only the current king knows she has healing powers. It's a rare thing. Her family gets tons of royal cash because her existence is so convenient. She's VERY sheltered and her father loves her VERY much. He refuses to have more kids, because he loved his wife who died in childbirth. He spoiled his special daughter too much.
Tumblr media
She dies at the hands of her fiance, Duke Daiman. He's a strong, brilliant Knight...with a heart condition. She cured his heart, because she fell for his good looks at first sight. Daimen took advantage of her. He is a genius with royal blood. He uses her family money to attempt to usurp the throne. He also brings in a lover named Lillian, because he thinks she's that stupid. He thinks she will let him have a lover, because she's so lonely and she loves him so blindly.
Her father died in war. Her fiance is all she has.
She stands up for herself.
She says she will not let another woman in.
She attempts to break off their engagement, and he stabs her in the back.
Why?
Well, he doesn't want her to marry into another family. She's too useful. Her healing powers are too valuable. If he can't use her no one can.
His lover smirks while she dies.
Tumblr media
Aren basically wakes up evil it's wild. She values her servants. She adores her father utterly. She will not let him die in war. The law dictates that a man from every family must go to war, so she decides to adopt a "brother" into the family. A meat bag to be used so her beloved father may live. There's not even a whiff of romance.
Tumblr media
Aren knows who the most talented swordsman is.
She goes out to pick him up.
It's a slave named Cassadim. He became a royal servant under the Crown Prince in her past life. He was known for his unreal beauty and his savagery in battle.
Aren feels a little guilty for like a second, but she uses the royal money she has to buy him. From then on there is zero remorse. Her father knows, by the way. She literally tells her father he should adopt a fake son to use, if he's still not willing to remarry. Aren and her father are both actually interesting because they're "nice" on the surface, but if you annoy them...well...bye? Aren is against(?) traditional slavery. Kinda. She doesn't like torture. She intends to let Cassadim live well as her brother. As a noble. If he doesn’t die in battle he will lead a charmed life...but omg buying him to take her dad's place is soooo messy. Evil ice princess dang.
(Also Cassadim was used for "night services" as a slave, so she does save him from that. She NEVER does anything sexual to him. She also uses her powers to fix his scars, and health issues that piled up when he was an arena fighter. He's getting a pretty good deal. A healthy body. The possibility to survive as a noble son. Yeahhhh. Slight problem though. SHE NEVER TELLS HIM. HE DOESN'T KNOW HE'S A WAR HORSE UNTIL IT HAPPENS. AH! but by then he is willing to die for the family so I guess...the plan worked...)
Tumblr media
By the way nobody knows Aren is a healer. She of course steps in to save the prince.
Cassadim doesn't know EVERYTHING, but he knows. He doesn't trust Aren. He's totally right to be suspicious. He also uses her. He mistakenly thinks the King is the one who destroyed his home country. So he uses knowledge he gets from Aren's medical book collection to create poison. He goes to the ball with her.
He poisons the prince, Leon.
Tumblr media
And now he's in love....not really. Leon thinks Aren is the most perfect and convenient wife. She says no and he gets pushy. Cassadim finally gets jealous. He likes living with Aren and being her brother on paper, but he doesn't know how to feel about her getting married. He starts to act immature for the first time. He has been spoiled, on purpose, by Aren. This is the way she wants him to be. Clingy. Protective. Willing to die for her.
She tells him she knows everything. She knows he poisoned the Prince. He did it because HE used to be a prince, but his country was burned to ash.
The King didn’t do it.
Duke Daiman's father did.
How convenient.
Tumblr media
Aren jumps on the chance. She convinces Cassadim to go against the Duke with her. She pins the blame for the poison on the Duke too. Her revenge is perfect...Cassadim snaps for the first time. He accuses her of being a seductress. A liar. Someone who will never care about him as much as he cares about her.
He's sort of right. They fall in love later, but Aren is totally obsessed with revenge for half the story.
Tumblr media
He actually attacks her.
Things get tense.
Then we get the classic yandere ramblings. Yes, after years of "love" Cassadim loses. He is putty in her hands. Unable to stand the thought of her getting married or even sleeping next to someone else. He starts begging her to use him when she has "urges", because he doesn't want another man to do it. The Prince, and actually lots of people, start to comment about how weird he is. His worshipful love is an open secret.
Tumblr media
Aren grabs her last puzzle piece. Tol. A slave that was tortured by Daiman and his butler. Aren does a great favor for Tol. His tongue was cut out. She grows it back for him. Tol is grateful and he agrees to lie for her. Someone must be blamed for the poison incident.
The plan is:
Aren pretends to be a foolish girl in love with the Duke, who visits him in prison.
She will then claim the Duke encouraged her to commit treason and hide signs of his crime.
Tol will pretend to be a witness, as he has been a slave in the ducal house for a while.
She unleashes the plan when Daiman thinks he is safe. When he's out of prison with an alibi, at the Prince's royal birthday.
It goes off without a hitch. Daiman freaks out and has a seizure in front of everyone. Then, all of his enemies know about his secret weakness. If he doesn’t go to jail that's fine. One of his many enemies will take advantage of that weak heart of his.
Aren gleefully laughs about how she easily could have been his savior. He had the LITERAL ONLY MAGICAL HEALER in his grasp, and he chose to abuse her.
He falls from grace, and even the prince acknowledges how scary Aren is.
Tumblr media
Plot twist.
Daiman was obsessed with Aren in their shared past life. He cut her off from the world. He kept her his secret and he coveted her power and he was madly in love...but he was a bad yandere. He was not openly affectionate. He enjoyed controlling every step of her day. He knew she loved him unconditionally, so he made her chase him and beg for his love when she was lonely.
He brought in Lillian, a random woman, purely to make Aren jealous.
When Aren lashes out for the first time ever Daiman stabs her because he sucks, and he doesn’t want her to leave him. He didn’t want Aren to hate him. He just wanted her to be lonely whenever he wasn't around. He stabs her the second she falls out of love with him.
Lillian desperately tries to seduce him to save her own life, but Daiman cruelly torments her before he kills her too. He blames Lillian for ruining his perfect Aren.
Cassadim is a little less crazy. He gets the right to wed Aren after he does well in the war.
The audacity.

Fic projects 2023  (and beyond?)
Making a list just for kicks! (So I can beat myself up at the end of the year? PERHAP.)
Cheongdam-dong couple ‘verses :
1) Strawberry ‘verse:  Han Sung-hyun is a rockstar and South Korea’s first openly gay musician/celebrity. Park Do-won is...just some ex military guy who runs a laundrette while trying to keep his family of seven (5 daughters and 2 grandmas) afloat. After almost accidentally saving Han Sung-hyun from death-by-bullet, Park Do-won gets bullied into hired as Sung-hyun’s bodyguard. Why yes, they do fall in love, but first Sung-hyun must PROBLEMATICALLY flirt with his new LORGE employee and get social media cancelled for it, have a couple of near-death experiences, become Fraulein Maria to Do-won’s five girls, and generally be rescued from his life of fun and depravity to become a BORING DAD (spoilers: he loves it), and also maybe rescue a whale. I have lots of ambitions for this project; for one, I want to imagine what having someone like Han Sung-hyun out there between 2000 to date might have meant. I know there are a few prominent gay celebrities in SK, and I plan to read up whatever I can get my hands on about queer culture in SK as well as the music industry in the last twenty years. The latter is probably easier to access. So far all the google search on LGBT issues in SK has given me is..fairly depressing pieces that are centered around the very real homophobia and discrimination. If anyone has any recs- either in fiction or non fiction about being queer in SK, and about the music industry as such, throw it my way! Thank you. :D
2) Wooster -Sageuk verse:  Yes, you read that right. Ok, this is the one in which (JWS/Bertie) is the fourth son of the current king, and a completely useless royal. His brothers, both elder and younger are in a death match for the throne; our guy is chilling out on his small estate up north doing the bare minimum to keep the barbarians at the gates. Into his life comes one Very Brilliant Person (Kim Tae-ri/Jeeves). Now, Tae-ri isn’t a noble born AND she had the misfortune to be afab in those Neo-Confucian times but is she going to let that stop her? NO. So she wiggles her way into (useless) spare heir’s household dressed as a man, and quickly becomes indispensable to him. Meanwhile, LJJ is a soldier in JWS’ army and also a conman with a business on the side; he’s basically sticking with JWS because he figures this guy is not basically interesting enough for his life to be in any kind of real danger, so he gets his soldier’s pay as well as quietly makes money selling contraband. What he *doesn’t * know, and couldn’t possibly begin to guess is that JWS has been PINING for his low born soldier for A WHILE. So, the main plot would be around how Tae-ri, having realized that all the other princes are genocidal freaks, starts an elaborate game of thrones to put the Useless (but not genocidal) Spare on the throne of Joseon, while also solving his Love Problem (which is the only problem that Useless Spare is actually interested in solving.) I want to write this because I love Wodehousian shenangians and queering history, but I’ve also watched like- three sageuks in my entire life- so I feel like I don’t know enough about the genre or you know, actual history, to pull it off with any degree of competence. Still, it *is * one of my favourite ideas, so I’m going to keep it on the list.
The above two are probably the more “high difficulty” writing ideas, and realistically,  I’ll have time for one. At the moment, it’s going to be Strawberry ‘verse, but well, you never know.
Other Fics:
3) Lucky Star: This is the next instalment in Terms ‘verse, and is the story of  how Do-chul and Hong-gi adopt their son, Min-woo. This fic was meant to be a bridge fic to the final instalment of the ‘verse, but quickly expanded itself in my head. I’ve been trying to crack it for some months now, and it’s not going anywhere, because I can’t seem to figure out what I want this fic to be about. I hope I can do that *sometime * this year because I love these characters so much, and I want to just keep writing in this ‘verse.
4) Sequel to Juche/ Part 2 of The Exiles: This one feels like something I’ve made unnecessarily difficult for myself by throwing the characters into mid 1980s Patagonia, for god’s sake, at the end of Juche. I mean, I did it for Reasons (good Reasons), but I also know very little about that era, so this is basically the classic “bit off more than you could chew” problem, which, come to think of it, maybe the problem with all my fics. Still, I have a much more solid idea of where I want this fic to go than Lucky Star and I think I can fudge some stuff and hopefully get away with it, so!
5) Christmas Fic : This is the one F/F fic I want to write about [Kim Hye-soo] and [Tang Wei], long time frenemies, who both got out of the small town where they grew up and made good. Christmas sees them back together in their hometown for the first time in many years: Hye-soo’s boyfriend has just dumped her, and Tang Wei’s fiance is looking for an excuse to break up with *her * although she doesn’t know it yet. Cue small town Christmas event shenanigans between the two women as they try to one up each other; with the stakes getting progressively crazier until everyone around them can’t wait for them to just leave; they WILL, and they’ll also kiss (and other things), and go back to their fabulous big city lives where they get even richer and make men cry. (The good thing about this one is that I don’t have to start writing this until October at least.)
I suppose there are chances that some show or movie might come along that grabs me by the hair and derails my nebulous plans for the above, but it’s unlikely. Kdrama- at least the ones I enjoy watching- doesn’t seem to trigger the fic writing part of my brain, and I don’t feel enthused by most of what I see the mainstream fandom producing either. I’ve had the most fun last year creating  these imaginary worlds that are largely untethered to any particular show/ canon, while retaining the fannish aspects in terms of world building and style of story telling.
Fellow writers! Tell me in notes/ replies what you’re hoping to write this year, if you had unlimited time and energy.  What’s ticking inside your lovely brains? TELL ME ALL!

A Desperate Arrangement by mikkimouse
Word Count: 115506 Chapters 29/29 sterek
"I'm sorry, I believe there's something wrong with my hearing," Stiles said. "Because I could have sworn you just told me you set up a betrothal agreement with the Hales. A betrothal agreement involving me. Me."
Scott smiled his easygoing smile and nodded, which told Stiles no, he hadn't misheard a damn thing.
After seven years of lengthy negotiations, the treaty between the Hales and the Argents has fallen apart and the two countries fell into war.
Months later, there's an uneasy truce, thanks to the intervention of King Scott McCall, but it won't last. In a desperate attempt to maintain the peace, the Hales sign a treaty with the McCalls to marry Prince Derek to Prince Stiles Stilinski, King Scott's brother.
In the history of the world, there have been many better ideas.
Somewhere to start by lissadiane
Word Count: 33552 Chapter 1/1 Sterek
Stiles has always known that he isn't quite human - the plant life that tends to sprout around him whenever he gets upset or excited gives it away. He's never really fit in among the regular people in Beacon Hills and is determined to wait it out, go to college, and find somewhere to belong. He's forced to abandon those plans, however, after he desperately agrees to enter into an arranged marriage to save his father's life.
An arranged marriage with an angry, sometimes furry dude with trust issues. It's all very Beauty and the Beast, without the singing candlesticks.
Things we lost by dexterous_sinistrous
Word Count: 20039 Chapter 2/2 Sterek
“Who … who am I to wed?”
A small flash of guilt covered the king’s features before he was able to recover. “Your union will join the royal families—joining our family to the Hales.”
Dread and sorrow sunk in Stiles’ stomach as he closed his eyes.
There was only one Hale left unharmed by the great fire that nearly wiped out the entire royal family—the Dread Wolf of Triskelia, Crowned King Derek Hale.
The Gentleman and the fox by bleepobleep and inkforwords
Word Count: 15707 Chapters 1/1 Sterek
Derek doesn't expect much from his arranged marriage. When his inattentive husband, Lord Stiles Stilinski, tells him he's free to look for a lover, he doesn't know where to start, until a dashing bandit named the Red Fox catches his eye. ~ The Fox winks again. “Have a good night, Derek,” he purrs in a sultry tone, and then climbs back on the horse and disappears into the night. Derek walks up the path towards the manor in a daze, and it isn’t until he’s inside when he realizes he never told the Fox his name or where he lived.
The light in the woods by discontededwinter
Word Count: 12293 Chapter 8/8 Sterek
To honour a treaty with the people of a strange land, Derek Hale, prince of the kingdom of Triskelion, has to marry Stiles.
Selection Criteria By Bunnywest
Word Count: 74955 Chapters 17/17 Steter
Stiles knew there were people out there who viewed pack selection invitations as a form of slavery, a tangible reminder that werewolves were the dominant species who got what they wanted. They were the same people who looked at the bite as a burden rather than a gift, who claimed that the invitations weren't invitations as much as they were a summons that couldn't be ignored.
Personally? Stiles couldn’t see the downside. He’d seen the members of the local pack, okay? So if the powerful and frankly gorgeous Hales ever decided they wanted to swoop in and basically adopt him, and if somewhere down the line he got supernatural powers and a partner, maybe hot like burning Derek Hale?
Sign him the fuck up.

Again, browsing back through my original stories and attempting to catalogue them. This is arranged by … mood, maybe, more than genre? Things of a similar feel, let’s say:
Fairytales:
With a Faerie Wild and Wary – fairytale. In a strange, otherworldly forest, a mischievous young woman meets a much more wary fairy
A Silent Companionship – fairytale. The story of a little river gnome and the much more grim and dangerous fey knight that she accidentally adopted
Autumn Fairytale – fairytale. A little family history about a grandmother who courted a lady elf knight in her youth, mostly with food
Cursed Blessings – fantasy. Basically what would result if, during the ‘fairy blessing’ scene from Sleeping Beauty, the fairies got a bit confused on the gender of the pair of children in question and gave them the ‘wrong’ stereotypical gifts
The Rain Witch – urban fantasy/fairytale. An exhausted and tearful young woman has a little breakdown in a rainy park, and then a witch happens
Dark Fantasy Westerns:
(This is a weirdly specific subgenre for me to have multiples of, but it’s a type of a mood?)
Angel Killer – dark fantasy western. You ever heard tell of the hunter with the angelbone knife?
Mr Shadow & Mr Sweet – um. Religious fantasy? Strongly inspired by Terry Brooks’ ‘Knight of the Word’ series. In a strange desert purgatory, an angel and his dark companion find a young woman in need of help reaching the light (or, well, a bus)
The Demon-Eater – mythological western? A young woman with a hole in her soul gets possessed by a demon and sets about eating it, only to be counselled/rescued by the little god in the thorns
Into Whitewood – fantasy western. A magess investigating a potential evil in a small town meets an odd old woman who knows more than she should
Scales Uneven and Balance Skewed – vaguely horror-western in which a tired hunter retires to a Badlands town and almost doesn’t notice that the town doctor is an equally tired monster
Science Fiction:
The Long Dark – old-school soft science fiction. Scouting for an exiled cityship along the galaxy’s edge, the crew of the crystal aethership Voidsong encounter a strange installation
Talaris – greek mythology meets science fiction. Hermes and Helios stand on a space station and discuss humanity’s first FTL mission beyond the bounds of what even they know
Historical Fantasy:
(historically inspired, really, not actually historical in any even approaching accurate way)
Castles in the Sky – dieselpunk fantasy fairytale. Two exiled fairy lovers stand in a world of iron and airships, fearing that the advent of a second world war will drive them back into the mists from which they came
The Statue – historical fantasy/romance. A bereaved and lonely regency-ish young lord fantasises rather vividly about the sphinx statue at the bottom of his garden
A Thief’s Challenge – historical fantasy. A semi-retired queen of thieves wants some comfort in her old age and so sets a challenge for her hand in marriage. Her oldest friend is first shocked, and then alarmingly enthusiastic …
The Rose Knight – vaguely French historical fantasy. A tired provincial nobleman in need of help comes to the capital to meet a famous spiritualist and champion, and comes within inches of royally botching the interview
Fraternity of the Maimed – sort of Victorian-esque urban fantasy. A woman being persecuted by an aristocratic vampire gets stashed with a manor house full of werewolves for safe keeping
High Fantasy:
Passing Through – fantasy. Roving mercenary Haleth gets chased into a haunted forest by an angry lordling, and meets a poor bastard even worse off than her along the way
Heartwood – high fantasy. A mercenary and her elven lover escort some diplomats to the edge of the wyrldwood, the border with chaos, and then said elven lover reveals some things about himself that he should probably have mentioned previously
Logistically Complicated – vaguely African-inspired fantasy meets a reverse Beauty & the Beast. The beautiful scholar prince of a conquered country is given in marriage to the monstrous warrior queen of their conquerors, and does his best to make the best of it
The Kingfisher – irish mythological fantasy. A dreamer awakes in the Otherworld, and gets some advice from Manannan Mac Lir on how to survive
Fantasy Humour:
Manners Saveth Man – fairytale fantasy humour. Just a sorceress and her dragoness friend ranting about the idiocy of ‘heroes’ who keep interrupting delicate and occasionally apocalyptic workings
The Witch Run of Gethryck – Pratchett-esque fantasy. The story of the annual witch run of a vaguely welsh-inspired province, and all the sordid gossip that generally arises from it
Lessons in Invocation – tiny fantasy fragment, on the subject of silence in the library and why it’s especially vital in a magical library
Urban Fantasy & Noir:
(again, it’s a consistent mood for me, shows up a fair bit)
Black Moon Blood – cosmic horror/urban fantasy. A vaguely cold-war era pair, a vampire and a distinctly off scientist, take out an installation of moon slugs for an occult organisation
Long Nights and Lord Save Us – urban fantasy. A team of modern monster hunters on a case, and then a little bit of backstory on the demon funhouse.
La Nuit – dark superhero noir/cosmic horror. A pair of small stories from the life of Etta James, a WWII ambulance driver who survived a hole in the world and the emergence of the Capes, ‘superheroes’ who range from the typical to the utterly lovecraftian
Night Shift – urban fantasy/superheroes/noir. A morgue cleaner goes missing, and the revenant she helped once gets a band of dark superheroes together to find her again
Welcome to Carogne – Redwall-ish animal dark fantasy. Various fragments following a blind doctor with a lot of secrets through the horrific criminal underworld of a city of rats
Cityside Fairytale – Dark little urban fantasy noir in which, mob boss or not, it is extremely inadvisable to piss off naiads when you live in a riverside city
Misc Genres:
(I love these, but they tend not to match much else I’ve done)
Loved Not Wisely – fantasy/tragedy/soulmate. A pair of soulmates reincarnate over and over again under a curse to destroy each other in each life unless they renounce their love, and have so far defiantly refused
A Reaper Come Lately – ghostly romance. An old woman dies, and finds her husband waiting to joyfully continue all their many arguments over the years
The Interrogator – cold war-ish dystopian fiction. A monologue on justice and mercy from an ‘interrogator’ for a fallen regime as he awaits execution
… I’ve had a few odd notions over the years, you know that?

Winx Club - Enchantix
It's finally time for the FINAL transformation (Which is gonna STAY the final transformation)! The fan favorite, ENCHANTIX! I am making some changes both for aesthetic reasons and for character reasons. They will all have the Bloomix wings because those are the best wings out of all of the transformations. I will be doing them in order of who earns their Enchantix.
Layla
Tumblr media
Starting off with the BEST fairy! I didn't make too many changes, apart from the makeup, the color, the wings, and the skirt. I made the skirt a flowing high-low skirt that resembled a waterfall and a wave. I still included the straps but made both pink and kept the yellow seaweed looking things. But I also added a transparent pink thing to the skirt to make the front a little longer and to add some dimension to it. Layla has had the colors of her Enchantix outfit change from blue to green in the actual show, which I guess was because of how Bloom earned her Enchantix and they didn't want two of them to be in blue (Even though Layla's color always should've been blue and Bloom's really should've been red). However, I stuck with blue but also made is an aqua shade just like all of her past transformation looks. I also add some painted toenails because I wanted to. I changed her makeup because my girlfriend, who is half-black and is very protective of black females (Particularly full-blooded dark-skinned ones), pointed out that her makeup in her official Enchantix didn't look quite right because the lips were too light. So I used a slightly darker shade to fix that, as well as made her eyeshadow purple instead of green because it just looks better. Also, just wanted to point out the two little white things by her eyes because that is part of her original Enchantix form as well. They look like two little dewdrops. She still earns her Enchantix by using the last bit of sunlight to healing the queen of the mermaids instead of restoring her sight that was stolen by Valtor. Also, apparently the queen is supposed to be her aunt, which I'm guessing is more of an honorable love like family thing because of how the royal family of the merpeople are clearly not black and aren't even the same species as Layla. Anyway, I hope you guys like it.
Stella
Tumblr media
Stella's Enchantix went through A LOT of changes. Don't get me wrong, her original Enchantix was gorgeous but I didn't feel like it showed enough of her sun and moon powers. I also wanted to give her a more Greek inspired look and went with her prototype Enchantix hair, which is so gorgeous and suits her and the outfit so much. I still went with her hair being lighter just like with her official Enchantix because I feel it does show her moon powers. I just really love the way she turned out. She still earns her Enchantix by saving her father from a dragon.
Musa
Tumblr media
Musa's Enchantix went through A LOT of changes. Her original Enchantix was gorgeous but I felt that it should've ditched the pigtails and had more of an Asian influence to it. I went with her Bloomix hair because it is very Asian influenced, though I just added chopsticks, which was suggested by my girlfriend. I also tried to make her makeup look Asian inspired to just add to the look, which I really love. The blue of the outfit was almost gold but I changed it so that it would match the wings. The outfit is mainly purple, which I have as her signature color, but also made sure there was red because of how it is an important color in Asian culture. I made sure to add a music note on her top because of how she is the fairy of music and it goes with her wings. I really love her look and I'm pretty proud of how she turned out. Musa still earns her Enchantix by refusing to leave Princess Galatea behind and nearly dies protecting her. However, I also have Galatea be Musa's cousin because I'm keeping the 4KIDS canon of Musa being a princess, though one that is the daughter of a prince that denounced his throne. I feel like Musa being royal adds to the story of her parents because of how her mother rejected her classical training and her father rejected his royal title in order to have a career in music. However, they still didn't have much money and that added her mother dying because they couldn't afford the right medical attention. This resulted in her father giving up music forever and deciding to beg his family to let him back into the royal family, in order to keep Musa from struggling like he did and would have the means to have proper medical attention, so he wouldn't lose Musa either. He was let back into the royal family for the sake of Musa. However, her father would not be the one to inherit the throne, which would go to Galatea's father. So this means that Musa isn't just saving the princess of her planet that is a friend, but also saving a family member. I'm just assuming that Galatea is Asian with blonde hair (I mean, Musa has blue hair, so why not?) because her father is shown to look like a Chinese Emperor and the planet of Melody is very Asian influenced. Sorry for rambling.
Flora
Tumblr media
I really didn't do any changes to Flora's Enchantix, apart from the Bloomix wings because Flora's Enchantix is perfection. She still earns her Enchantix by saving her little sister, Miele (Yes, I prefer her actual name over her 4KIDS name, Rose).
Tecna
Tumblr media
For Tecna's Enchantix I really wanted it to be the most revealing of her fairy outfits (Well, tied with Sirenix) because of how I had her starting to show off more skin for her Believix form and it shows how she's grown and opened herself up to others and let herself be emotional instead of just logical all the time. Just because she isn't skinny it doesn't mean she has to alway be covered up. But I did adjust the length to make it more tasteful (Even though her original Enchantix wasn't distasteful). I also wanted to add some elements from her Bloomix form besides just the wings. I added the technology pattern she had on her leggings because they looked so amazing (But were a pain to do) and gave her that transparent fabric she has in that form. While Tecna's hair has grown in this transformation (Just like with all the girls), I didn't want to make it more than a few inches below the shoulders because her short hair makes her unique. I didn't add sparkles to the armor because I wanted to make clear the difference in material. Since I have her color being green, I did have to mess around with the coloring a bit and I love the way it looks. The way she earns her Enchantix is my favorite of all the girls because she saved not only her home planet, Zenith, but other planets by closing the portal to the Omega Dimension on Andros. That's just a whole new level of sacrifice. She doesn't die and does manage to escape, of course, but the impact of what she did is just a staple in the Winx Club and how much she means to the group and what an awesome character she is.
Bloom
Tumblr media
Bloom's Enchantix was one I was VERY excited to do because of the GORGEOUS hair and how I really wanted to make her dress look like fire. This has gone from one of my least favorite Enchantix forms to one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong, her original Enchantix form was gorgeous but really didn't feel like it suited her powers. I did combine this with her Bloomix form because for one, the hair is just GORGEOUS and I really wanted to include the scales from the form. I wanted to have the top also have some flow to it. I especially wanted that with the skirt. I wanted it to appear like actual flames with red, orange, and yellow. I also blended the colors as they transitioned. I added blue-looking flames because of how fire does have a hint of blue to it, which is the hottest color. I decided to make her gloves orange to go with her fire powers and made her jewelry gold to go with her fire powers, as well as purple gems to go with her wings. I gave her a dragon necklace because it looks really badass. I went with a fiery-looking eyeshadow with blue and orange, which was easier to do because of how her hair isn't orange here. As for how she earns her Enchantix, I am NOT having her earn it by that bull crap of it being sheer force of will, which I know that my amazing friend @bellatrixobsessed1 will appreciate VERY much. Also, just so you all know, I'm keeping her birth parents and the entire population of Sparx DEAD! Yes, it's tragic but it's also something that gives Bloom a huge layer of depth. Anyway, what I decided to have happen is that she is on Pyros doing all she was doing in the show and basically trying to cheat to get her Enchantix with the help of Maya. However, Valtor, wanting to destroy Bloom once and for all and knowing that Pyros would be where she was at and that he couldn't enter because of a barrier that kept out dark magic decided to get Bloom to come to him by going to Earth to put her adopted parents in danger. Bloom, deep in meditation learns that her parents are in danger because her sister, Daphne appears to her in a vision to warn her. Bloom in desperation to save her parents begs Maya to help her to Earth. Maya warns her that if she leaves now that she may never be able to earn her Enchantix and that without it, she could die while trying to leave Pryros. Bloom says she doesn't care because Valtor may have taken her birth parents from her but she was NOT going to let him take her adopted parents. Daphne and Maya, reluctantly, use their magic to help Bloom get to Earth through a portal. Traveling through the portal was physically painful for Bloom but she kept on going and refused to give up. She nearly dies but as she arrives to Earth, just as Valtor was about to kill Mike and Vanessa (Bloom's adopted parents), a weakened Bloom with what little strength she had left threw herself in front of them to save their lives. She was close to death but this selfless act saved her life because of how it was what had her earn her Enchantix. Why? Because Faragona said that in order to earn Enchantix, you have to save someone from your home world and make a big sacrifice in the process. Home doesn't mean a place you are born in but rather a place you're loved and have a life. Earth is her home world, so saving her adopted parents allowed her to earn her Enchantix. Bloom, now more powerful than ever was able to fight off Valtor, forcing him to flee. Did you guys like my version of how Bloom earned her Enchantix? Let me know.

My final group picture of the Winx Club in their final forms. This was a lot of fun, a lot of work, and a lot of headaches. I couldn't have done it without the help of my girlfriend, @keeloves, who gave me suggestions and ideas, as well as feedback during the process. Thank you guys so much for liking my stuff, even if you didn't leave comments. I'm really happy to be done with this and I'm grateful for all the love this has been getting. Also, I have the girls flying instead of just standing like I did with their Magic Winx, casual looks, and Believix.

Does Regis ever ask how Titus has papers for the boys? Whats Cor or Clarus' PoV of this? What are some things (fluff or humor) that the boys get up to? Because I can see them getting adopted into the Ulric Clan because of shenanigans and Nyx going 'Yes, these are my people' since LCs just remind me of Ulrics with magic. And how do the Galatians take to the nephew of the Nif Chancellor and clone of the Crown Prince? Since I'm imagining that Titus told some of them and the
spideypoolalways
rest are guessing anyway. And does everyone assume that Noctis and Nox's magics resonated since they're kinda sorta close to each other/are the same person? How does Regis take the news that the only reason that Noctis got healed is because Nox pretty much felt everything Noctis did? /Both/ of his sons were basically attacked by a daemon and he only knew about one of them at the time and didn't do anything to calm or reassure Nox? (Clarus: Only because you didn't know
spideypoolalways
About him, Regis. Regis: Thats no excuse, Clarus.) Does Iris get to be a Shield or did Nox latch onto Axis or one of his kids? Does Acastus find Prompting and drop him off with Noct/Cor? Does Nox hang out with Noct, Ignis, Gladiolus and Prom all the time or does the memories act up enough to make him feel weird about it? How does Regis take his brother and son's Sick Days? What about Dissidia? The 3 youngest Royals getting snatched and the group watching on Crystal
spideypoolalways
Vision? Dad Titus/Regis freaking out over their kids having been summoned to a death match? And how exactly does Titus see the boys? Sons, brothers, cousins? Oooh, more Trauma. Noct, Nox and Acastus w/others playing and end up in the Crystal room. Cue the boys lighting up, maybe passing out because the magic hits their young system really hard (its why Royals aren't supposed to be Presented until 18) and everyone freaks out, and news makes it to Regis and Titus that they
spideypoolalways
Are in the infirmary and the gist of what happened via panicked guards and rush there immediately and are jumped by panicked kids talking and crying about what happened. I didn't realize I had so many questions. But now I need to know. 👀👀 Please!🙏
spideypoolalways
Oh! Just remembered a little more! Does anyone pick up on the people/places that he shouldn't know? Do they assume that Nox got some of it from Noct, like with the Marelith? Or are they assuming LC/ Oracle DNA mix?
Me: Yes, Regis asks about the papers and Titus doesn’t OUTRIGHT admit he did an illegal but he does grudgingly explain that he needed papers in case the NIfs came looking and he ... knows ... a few people who can help ... “recreate” papers for refugees who lost theirs in whatever fire or tragedy drove them from their homes.
Regis mulls over that for ten long seconds then blatantly pretends he never heard it in the first place. Those “people” likely saved the life of his son and half-brother, he can let it slide this once.
I need Nyx Ulric to adopt these two now JUST so Nyx can tease that he’s related to Captain (then later when he learns that they’re Lucis Caelums he can quietly die in a corner because OH NO HE’S RELATED TO THE KING). Not sure how or when Nyx adopts them, but he absolutely does.
It probably happens when he's just a wee bit sloshed. Not enough to be incoherent or insincere, but enough that he doesn’t feel any fear offering to adopt the pair while babysitting them because Captain had to work late and Nyx is off the combat roster until his ankle heals. Once he’s sober he is a Panic™, but Captain takes it surprisingly well and Nox loves his new braid. Acastus just looks Amused™.
Lib slaps Nyx over the head because IDIOT THINK THIS STUFF THROUGH then gives him another drink because TWO MORE ULRICS. It’s a good thing Nyx is an Ulric Keeper in this AU, because he can teach them most of the Ulric Clan stories and dances and make them proper Ulrics.
Acastus loves introducing himself as Acastus Ulric Drautos, both because it’s fancy like “Lucis Caelum” is and also because it made both Titus and Nyx spit their coffee the first time they hear it.
The Galahdians ... have mixed feelings at first. But the predominant one is that it doesn’t matter that this kid is clearly related to the Chancellor (at first they all think the Chancellor bedded Captain’s Aunt, since they don’t know about the LC blood, and that’s why he looks like Ardyn) because Captain has clearly staked a claim on him. Galahd (in my HCs) is a Very Adoption Heavy culture and big on judging people by their current family rather than any previous blood ties, so ... mostly the Chancellor thing gets intensely ignored. Acastus isn’t an Izunia, he’s a Drautos (and then later an Ulric). So they will treat him as such.
But in private there is some debate on exactly what happened, for the Chancellor to vanish around the time his ... relation (son? They mostly assume son), shows up in Drautos’s care.
No few number of them think Titus stumbled on Ardyn with the two kids and killed the Chancellor to save them.
For Nox ... the Lucis Caelum blood is basically impossible to hide. This boy LOOKS like a literal carbon copy of the Prince but younger and he’s young so his control over his magic is ... not. Not that good. Especially not when there’s so mUCH of it.
All of Galahd listened to the Glaive who was on babysitting duty when Nox had a rare tantrum and skewered the wall with ghostly blades and all privately, immediately agree to Never Tell Anyone. Ever.
Well. To be fair, they do debate whether they have a duty to tell Regis, but again the Adoption Culture comes into play and they decide it’s up to Titus to spill that secret. A few Glaives do ask Titus about it (Titus nearly has a heart attack because SINCE WHEN DID THEY KNOW) and when they ask if they know who the mother was, Titus looks very grim and very, very quiet for a long time, then admits:
There is no mother. There never was.
They stare at him in confusion until Acastus, lurking nearby with too-sharp eyes, gives a smile that could cut and says brittlely that “amazing things that can be done with science these days you know. Truly amazing. Why, get a blood sample and a tank of the right solutions and you could probably grow anything you wanted”.
The Glaives are Horrified™. So is the rest of Little Galahd when it gets around and then is made a Clan Secret by all the Clans unanimously. The secret never leaves the borders of their little slum.
Also yes, people assume that Noctis’s and Nox’s magic resonated because Nox is a clone and it freaks them out.
Regis is Such A Guilt when he finds out how Acastus knew about Noctis’s injury. No it doesn’t matter that he DIDN’T KNOW NOX EXISTED. One of his son’s (his FIVE YEAR OLD son) was suffering. Was screaming in agony and terror and Regis didn’t do a THING about it and no amount of logic can make that better.
Nox latches onto Axis’s triplets in this AU so while Iris will be best friends with him, his Shield, Hand, and Sword are actually all made up of Axis’s three kids. Axis is a BIT of an internal Scream when Nox is at the age people start making noises about him building a Retinue and taking Iris as his Shield and Nox goes, “NO. I have a Shield already! A Hand and Sword too!” And stuff spirals out to reveal Axis as Clarus’s kid (Clarus takes it much better than Axis thought he would, tho Axis didn’t expect to see Lord Amicitia go deathly pale and sit down hard in the nearest chair).
Honestly Iris might be the future love interest in this AU you never know. It would be hilarious if nothing else.
Bold of you to assume Acastus didn’t find Prompto early and bring him home to NOX because “Look Beloved Nibling I Found You A Friend!”. Prompto is a confusion because Nox is like- 4 at the time. But Prompto likes babysitting and playing with Nox and hearing Acastus’s stories and Titus just kinda- sighs his way through the playdates until he realizes that Prompto has been staying in his house for about two weeks with no sign of the parents.
Titus, after much snooping later, sitting at the kitchen table of Grandma Ostium quietly pulling his hair out: HOW DO YOU ADOPT A THIRD CHILD. DOES IT COUNT AS KIDNAPPING IF THEY COME OVER AND STAY WITH YOU FOREVER AND THE LEGAL PARENTS NEVER NOTICE. ACASTUS WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME.
Acastus: I regret nothing. Do you want me to fake Prompto’s death? I’m sure there’s enough Prompto’s out there that nobody will notice if you gain a nephew called Prompto Drautos.
Titus, holding his face in his hands while Grandma Ostium laughs at him in the corner: NO, ACASTUS. DO NOT FAKE THE DEATH OF THE CHILD. How do you even know how to do that? Nevermind I don’t want to know.
Roughly a year later when Everything Gets Revealed, Titus and Cor: *intense staring contest over Smol Blond Child*
Cor: You don’t know where he-
Titus, growling like a cranky Behemoth that might very well bite off someone’s head: He’s a Niflheim created clone. I know.
Cor: ....
Titus: He's been living in my house for a year. I’ve seen the barcode. It’s not like I wasn’t raising one already.
Cor: His legal parents-
Titus: Is me. The Argentums were emotionally neglectful and didn’t even notice when he hadn’t come home for a week and a half.
Cor: *guilty angry silence*
Titus: ...Kid could use an uncle. If you want to man up and be part of his life.
(hgfhg this is post is getting long Imma try to speed through the last questions a bit)
Yes, Nox hangs out with the Chocobros when he can because he adores them (especially Brother Prompto and Team Mom Iggy) but he also has his own friend group in the Little Galahd community so it doesn’t strike anyone as odd really. Nox is a naturally loving child for all he’s shy and Iggy and Gladio are Noctis’s friends and Prompto is his adopted brother (and later Noctis’s best friend).
Regis does Not take the Sick Days well. It makes him alarmed and angry because Lucis Caelums aren’t supposed to get sick days from their own magic and it speaks of BAD THINGS that both of the presumably experimented on and tortured LCs have them.
I’m going to have to come back to Dissidia another time (someone remind me) because this post is too long to ramble here but it would be- it would be Great. Honestly. It would either be the 3 littlest, just Acastus, or just Acastus and REGIS for some brotherly bonding and any of them would be Great and Chaotic. Crystal-o-vision absolutely happens.
The Crystal Room is under 24 hour guard so I don’t think the kids could wander in by accident, plus Acastus would actively avoid the area because of his Trauma.
Now Acastus being presented when he turns 18 on the other hand... >:))))))
Short Version: Much shouting, much alarm, much angst from Regis and Titus and everyone and also the first Sick Day Acastus has had since he turned 17 and by far one of the worst he’s ever had in his (second) life.
I might to a longer version later but not right now.
For Nox’s oddities and odd knowledge they kind of assume both? At first they think it’s just him resonating with Noctis so deeply that there’s a transfer (cue angst from Regis because what is going to happen to Nox when Noctis fulfills his destiny as Chosen King???) but then when Nox starts knowing stuff Noctis doesn’t/can’t know, they start to wonder if the scientists ... Tampered with his DNA. If they got their hands on Noctis’s, which should have been impossible, then it’s not all that out there they got their hands on Oracle DNA.
Sylva is ... very alarmed and very confused when Regis secretly contacts her on a secure encrypted line to ask if there were any ... symptoms to look for in an Oracle child. Because- yes there were but WHY DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?
Regis: they wouldn’t happen to be *lists very specific things*
Sylva: ....Have you seen any Messengers nearby lately.
Regis: Carbuncle, a black puppy that disappears into thin air, and a bird woman who can summon wind storms. She calls herself Garuda.
Sylva, having a minor crisis behind her Queenly Facade: I am Very Sure I only have two children so please explain this. Right Now.
Regis: Well............. NiflheimclonedmysonandIthinkmixeditwiththednaofyouoryourdaughterandhehasseerpowersandImayormaynotbepanickingrightnowpleasehelpme.
Sylva, slowly running that over in her mind and figuring out what Regis just said:...
W H A T.
XD Honestly Niflheim might invade Tenebrae only to find the royal family gone because Sylva coincidentally packed her backs and took her and her children on a secret trip to Lucis to have a look at Nox, then since they’re there when Niflheim invades and a spy gets word on what just happened Sylva and Co just- stay there. Oracle Mom Death averted.
Also they absolutely think that it’s Luna’s DNA they used to make Nox because of how instantly Nox gloms onto Luna like a limpet- JUST like he did with Noctis and Regis, and how Luna gets this dazed look in her eyes as their magic tangles and she whispers, “I ... I know you. I know you, don’t I Little Prince? I met you in a dream.” Luna starts crying softly as she pets Nox’s hair and when Sylva asks in alarm why she’s crying, Luna blinks and whispers, “Because he was crying in the dream, and I couldn’t comfort him.”
Acastus lurks in the shadows, watching it all with ... very mixed feelings.
Oracles. He could have gone his entire second life without meeting anymore Oracles. Aera she looks so much like you is that what our daughter would have looked like and oh astrals I KILLED her. I killed the girl with your eyes and your smile and laughed about it later.

Can you tell me abt your ocs?
oh, of course! i have a bunch though since i have a habit of making a new one every single time i get the slightest inspiration, so i'll stick to my "main" ones if that's alright.
(i'll also have to omit some details that could be considered "spoilers" since i am in fact writing a book... or trying to at least.)
my overall main oc, who i adore above all of my others and hold very dear to my heart, is jevon -- jevon sebastian fulbright, to be specific. his backstory is a bit of a complicated one, but to summarize it he's essentially an angel that's fallen to earth following the destruction of his homeland within the heavens, namely into the arms of his love interest, the prince of the kingdom of igerene, roxxy. literally. he was yeeted out of the sky and into the arms of his future husband -- a token case of fate at play. since he was young, jevon has always dreamed about leaving the heavens and living among humans, and he ultimately got his wish, though with great sacrifice... since then, he has been working as a diplomat for the kingdom, mainly to fuel his desire to travel and see what the mortal realm has to offer. on the other hand, he's also embarking on a quest to save his newfound home from certain doom by the hands of a cruel and arrogant god who may or may not have something to do with his past.... and the absurd amount of trauma that came with it.
personality-wise, he's a certified gentleman -- elegant, silver-tongued, and endlessly kind despite his grim circumstances. the kind of protagonist who chooses compassion, no matter what the world throws at him. he's also a proud romanticist and a lover of the arts, and is even something of a musician himself, versed in numerous instruments -- with the lyre/harp being his signature. he's also an incredibly gifted singer, possessing the voice of an "angel"... which is suiting, considering that's essentially what he is. of course, he does have his shortcomings -- he's selfless to a sacrificial degree, and always puts the needs of others before his own. he starts off as a bit withdrawn and anxious, but slowly but surely gains confidence as the story progresses. there's also the trauma of watching your people die before your eyes and being the only survivor and coping with that immense guilt day in and day out but... he is fine i promise <3
https://twitter.com/sinchobo/status/1495893950804148224
coincidentally just had this piece commissioned for them right as you sent this ask! jevon's on the left, and his husband, roxxy, is on the right... i care them so much
there's also elena, jevon's adoptive older sister -- an alchemist with an enigmatic past who's currently conducting research on the origins of magic and the "truth" of the world they live in overall... she's a genius in every sense of the word, her talents coveted by schools and research facilities across the realm but ultimately, elena prefers her own solitude. though she did take up a momentary teaching position at the royal academy in igerene, she noticeably keeps everyone, with the exception of her dear brother, who she considers to be her only "real" family, at an arm's length -- immersing herself in her studies without reprieve, showing no interest in the mundane world and constantly seeking to cultivate her knowledge. as a result, she's been referred to as a "recluse", and to those outside of her considerably small circle, she may even be considered cold-hearted and mean-spirited. though she is quickly revealed to be the comedic relief of the story as she has basically no filter and could put a sailor to shame with some of the filth that comes out of her mouth.
she's also very gay and in love with taya, a bimbo who is the exact opposite of her in every way, but they somehow make it work.
Tumblr media
(art by bunnysharks!)
& here's the last one i'l talk about for now -- i have a BUNCH more but i don't want this to become an essay. so, tomi! tomi, my sweet little sunshine boy, the light of my life, my sun and stars... he's the heir of the akatsuki clan of amano, a legendary warrior with a heart of gold and is possibly the only one of my ocs who doesn't have a tragic backstory. he's just a funky little guy who's absolutely just brimming with positivity and goodwill, and basically goes out of his way to make the people around him smile. he's a free spirit through and through and feels most at peace among the wilds, heeding the natural flow of life. though his untroubled attitude may claim otherwise, he is extremely devoted to his duties as the heir of his clan and has solemnly vowed to serve and protect the people of his country, no matter the costs. he can be a bit absentminded at times, though, so he usually leaves all of the complicated matters to his partner and secretary, mei-ling.
all in all though he's just a nice dude with a big sword and big muscles and big heart. there’s also a reoccuring gag about him being the canonically strongest person in my oc-verse. the saitama, if you will. but he’s not invincible he’s just a tough cookie.
i don't have any art depicting his recent redesign, but i'm working on it!
i also have isaac, a necromancer who enjoys waltzing with the corpses of the dead and stabbing people on occasion... seraphina, my goth witch daughter who ended up falling in love with the demon she became contracted to... leo and matthew who... deserve an entire essay of their own because their lore runs so deep that it literally serves as the foundation of my whole oc multiverse. and xavier, one of my only modern era ocs who's essentially like something of a mascot for me. everything you need to know about them as a character can be found in their personal tag.
... and SEVERAL others but i will stop for now, this has become too long as it is and i only went into detail about three of them...

Puppet Prince AU
Content warnings for graphic violence, depersonalisation (possession), death and mentions of death
————————————
So Klug is the prince of this big ol’ kingdom currently ruled by his father
Klug received the somewhat mocking nickname “The Prince of Puppets” due to him commanding his servants around like a puppeteer putting on a show
Despite this, he’s very kind to his friends and can back up his talk with a surprising level of skill in both tactics and magic
His best friend is Lemres, a slightly older boy who happens to be the son of the royal tactician and is a prodigious light mage in combat and healing alike (though he vastly prefers healing)
Klug is 16 and Lemres is 18 in this au
So life is good for him and the royal court - he’s guaranteed a future as the king, he has a good support circle of friends and loved ones, he’s doing great in his studies
But unbeknownst to all the royal family is being haunted by the spirit of a demon they sealed in a tomb for a crime they didn’t commit 500 years ago (That’s Aya)
Aya’s been haunting the family ever since they died in that tomb, waiting for things to fall into place so they can finally carry out its master plan and get justice
Aya had a child before they were imprisoned so they’ve been tracking their lineage but their descendants keep falling victim to misfortune (one was killed in a barfight, one died to a serial killer etc.) and demon children mysteriously appear before their deaths as if the bloodline is magically sustaining itself without the need for reproduction
And eventually a descendant is born and grows to teenhood and Aya just decides “screw it, I’m doing this now before this kid falls off a cliff or something stupid like that” and possesses Klug, turning him into the Puppet Prince and effectively holding him hostage
(He gets the moniker of the Puppet Prince because when the demon rests, it suspends Klug’s body from the ceiling like an inactive puppet with magic indestructible strings and when the Puppet Prince is moving around he moves incredibly uncannily because he’s actually being pulled around by said strings)
Everyone wonders what happened to Prince Klug to suddenly make him so cold and reclusive, but Lemres can see Aya and the magic strings they use to puppeteer Klug’s body and mind
Aya knows this, so the Puppet Prince basically says “Find my descendant and pardon him or I’m gonna kill this kid and the entire royal court with him”
Aya deliberately makes sure to say this in the middle of the banqueting hall so that the entire royal court, including Klug and Lemres’ fathers, hear it (Also in this au Lemres’s dad is kinda better, he’s very distant on account of trauma and his work but he accepts his son’s decisions)
So Lemres sets out on a grand quest to find the descendant to save his best friend, the royal court and his father, and assembles a little rpg party of misfits consisting of Arle, Serilly, Schezo, Sig, Ringo, the ghost twins and Legamünt
Sig is the adopted son of an apothecary family and is somewhat of an outcast due to the “burn” that coats his arm and being totally apathetic to anything that doesn’t involve his family, cooking, gardening or bugs (as we all know he’s actually the demons descendant but shh Lemres and Aya don’t)
Also Local Chosen One Salde and his party help them out on occasion but he’s just passing through, honest, he totally isn’t invested because his adoptive brother Otomo is a member of the Prince’s guard detail and as much as he thinks he’s annoyingly coddling he doesn’t actually want him to die
And every now and again the Puppet Prince meets Lemres alone and they have a duel, the Puppet Prince says something ominous and then goes back to Klug’s chambers, where the king imprisoned him after the whole dining hall incident and Lemres outing him as a victim of possession

Zukka + moonspirit!Sokka
So I love to write fics but I’m horrible at committing and finishing them out but here’s a rough outline/headcanon for prince zuko and moonspirit Sokka (this is gonna be long sorry)
To start Hakoda is chief of the Northern water tribe which obvs means that Sokka and Katara as well as Kya and Bato are all NWT (Kanna ran away from sexist Pakku and the southern tribe)
Aang is instead from the the Northern Air temple but still runs away and gets caught in a storm and freezes into an iceberg
The Northen Water Tribe gets attacked as the next expected place for the Avatar but thanks to the spirit oasis they’re a little more protected and are able to mostly withstand the numerous attacks; they still lose people but are not on the brink and still maintain a few waterbenders and Kya doesn’t die
Maybe a fire bender gets past their defenses and she gets burned idk but since there’s still water benders she’s healed up and lives (let the water tribe family be happy)
Sokka basically gets Yue’s backstory so that he can become moonspirit blessed
The war and fire nation all tracks with the show up (Sozin starts it, Iroh loses Lu Ten, Azulon order’s Zuko’s death and Ursa leaves, Ozai takes over) until Zuko’s Agni Kai
Iroh’s basically going through the motions after Lu Ten’s death, his depression made worse with the loss of his father and he pretty much doesn’t care that his birthright has been usurped by his little bro because he’d give it all up, live as the poorest person on earth, as long as it meant he had his son back
BUT THEN OZAI CHALLENGES HIS THIRTEEN YEAR OLD CHILD TO A SPIRITS DAMNED AGNI KAI
Iroh starts off with giving his brother the benefit of the doubt, like he knows the guys isn’t the greatest father but he’s not gonna HURT his kid right? Wrong. So the second Ozai cups his son’s face and Iroh sees the flames he snaps out of it and jumps into action
He literally jumps into the ring and pushes Ozai away, challenges him on the spot for the throne and Ozai might be the Fire Lord but Iroh is the MOTHER FUCKEN DRAGON OF THE WEST and kicks the guys ass
Ozai is thrown into the royal prison (and probably has some large burns because his brother can breathe fire??? And Iroh maybe vindictively made sure to burn the hand he hurt Zuko with so that everytime Ozai sees it he’ll remember why he’s there)
Zuko still has his scar but thanks to Iroh’s intervention it’s a little lighter, his sight and hearing on that sides a little fucked, and the outline of a handprint a little easier to discern but instead of the all encompassing shame and anger and pain when Zuko looks at his scar he’s reminded of how much his Uncle loves him and what he did to protect him (thinks of how much his mom loves him and probably Lu Ten because you can’t convince me that Iroh’s kid wasn’t like the best cousin ever)
He’s still a little self conscious of it because come on it’s a giant face scar from his father and he’s a teenager but it’s not as bad as in the show
Newly crowned Fire Lord Iroh declares the war over and since the 94 year or whatever war isn’t that catchy and Iroh wants it to be acknowledged that it was the fire nations fault it starts to be referred to as Sozin’s War
So fast forward three/four years and the world is slowly moving towards peace Fire Lord Iroh is hosting a small delegation of the leaders of the different nations to really start ironing out official peace treaties which means Hakoda and Fam come down from the North Pole and everyone finally meets!
BONUS
Lu Ten was a non-bender so became super skilled at a number of diff weapons and fighting styles
Zuko is understandablely freaked out by fire bending for awhile after the whole facing his father in a fire duel thing — Iroh remembers how Zuko seemed to like watching Lu Ten practice his swordsman skills so he calls on his good friend Master Piandao
Piandao takes one look at this little traumatized boy and goes ‘Bitch let’s get you some sword therapy’ and hands Zuko his first set of dao swords and during their training while Zuko’s too focused on getting his forms right he doesn’t realize that they’re not talking about swords anymore and instead he tells him about the Agni Kai and his scar and how he’s scared of his own fire
Piandao is the first person Zuko ever tells about how the Agni Kai wasn’t the first time his father hurt him; he’s also the first non family person Zuko’s ever cried in front of and gotten a hug from
Hakoda and Bato never leave to fight but make regular weeks long trips out to keep the defenses up so there’s still some worry that he won’t come back; Sokka’s not allowed to come along because his parents are a little over protective because of how he was born and only alive because the moonspirit blessed him but they still let him do some warrior training after Sokka convinced them about needing to know how to protect himself as son of the chief plus how kya was hurt
“If they got in once they can do it again!”
Sokka and Katara sneak out one day because they feel the need to make sure the Fire Navy is really retreating and they end up in some SiblingFight TM and Katara might have some people to help train her water bending but she’s still a teen girl and when she gets worked up her control kind of gets iffy and she ends up cracking a giant iceberg and FINDS A WEIRD BOY
A WEIRD BOY WHO TURNS OUT TO BE THE LAST AIRBENDER AND THE AVATAR
with Fire Lord Iroh declaring the war over and everyone slowly starting to believe him there’s no rush to get Aang powered up so instead the Water Tribe Sibs take him home and focus on figuring out what happened to Aang and giving him a history lesson in a more relaxed manner
They still take him to the air temple which is hard but Aang won’t believe them about the war until he sees proof and well the Fire Navy is gone and there is no angsty teen hunting him
Hakoda more or less adopts the kid while Aang hangs around the north pole to train and become BFFs with Sokka and Katara
Toph gets tired of her overprotective parents and runs away after she hears them wailing about marriage prospects or something; she finds her way to Omashu where some weird old crazy guy finds her and he says he’s king which is kind of confusing but whatever he gives her a place to stay, doesn’t expect her to act like a lady or treat her like a porcelain doll, he’s kind of funny and is a freaking amazing earth bender (almost as good as her)
Aang comes with Hakoda as part of his fam for the Peace Summit while Toph accompanies Bumi as part of the Earth Kingdom delegation and so the Gaang comes together while the adults fix shit like they should
Zukka specific
Iroh and Zuko greet all the delegations personally so Zuko’s first sight of Sokka is in full Water Tribe regalia and he thinks the white haired boy is the prettiest person he’s ever seen in his life
Sokka has pretty much the same reaction seeing the Prince of The Fire Nation (he feels a little bad about it because it’s only been like three years since the war ended and a lot of people still view the Fire nation as the enemy)
Sokka can’t sleep one night, he’s a bit of a night owl because of his connection, so he’s wandering around about trying to find an open quiet spot so that he can talk to the moon (the spirit saved him so he likes to talk to it like it’s his friend) when he catches Zuko practicing his dao
Zuko has nightmares and going through his dao forms relaxes him along with spending time at his precious turtleduck pond
Sokka is full on smitten after that (there’s nothing more attractive than a boy competently handling two swords)
Sokka asks Zuko to show him how to use his swords
There’s shy flirting between the two and good natured teasing from the others
Mai and Ty Lee come up with little schemes to get Zuko and Sokka alone which clash with the schemes Aang and Katara come up with
Toph choas goddess she is bounces between the two groups throwing out comments that she’s knows will cause the two different schemes to clash

Entry 7: The Hardest Choice
Chapter 6: The Path Is Yours
We rush into the battlefield from the future vision prologue and find Xander and Ryoma dueling. Xander, after making sure Corrin is okay, announces that Nohr is invading Hoshido to show off their strength. He points out that ending things quickly will prevent unnecessary bloodshed, which is a fair point. But, you know what else would prevent unnecessary bloodshed? Not invading Hoshido.
The two families argue over ownership of Corrin and she is forced to choose a side. Stand with her genetic family and fight to defend Hoshido from violent invaders, or stand with her adoptive family and invade a neighboring country, slaughtering countless civilians in the process. Or play the DLC route. Or go play Super Smash Bros.
And I mean, is this even a choice? Nohr is evil. Like, insanely evil. Ten minutes ago they blew up a marketplace and killed dozens of children. They’re invading Hoshido for shits and giggles and we’re supposed to side with them? Corrin’s supposed to be a good person, why the fuck would she ever join Nohr’s army?
And it’s not like Corrin has any love for Nohr as a country. She spent fifteen years in prison, she doesn’t know the people. Hell, she hates how Nohr looks and feels. Garon murdered her parents, kidnapped her, held her captive, and tried to murder her. Twice.
There is only one reason to join Nohr: love for Xander, Camila, Leo, and Elise. And that’s a relatable reason, standing by your family even if they’re evil. But, it feels cowardly to kill innocent people just because you don’t want to fight your family.
No, not cowardly. Evil. This is a choice between good and evil, with both sides holding up signs saying which they are. And that’s part of the problem with this game. Nohr is so ridiculously evil and Hoshido is so ridiculously good. At this point, we have seen no justification for any evil Nohr does. They’re evil for the point of evil. And even when Hoshido does shady things, like kidnapping Azura or having a mind control barrier, the game glosses over it to avoid having the good guys be morally grey. And let’s be honest, it’s kinda infuriating that Intelligent Systems, a Japanese company, made a game where the most explicitly Japanese kingdom in the franchise is pure good and the European kingdom is cartoonishly evil.
This game tries to paint this as a choice between two families, and that doesn’t work. Painting it as a choice between two families lessens the impact of siding with Nohr to protect your family. Plus, again, the Hoshidans are strangers. Hoshido is not Corrin’s home and the Hoshidan royals are not her family. The only one who was given enough screen time to feel like family was Mikoto, and she’s dead. Maybe it’s a cultural thing, but I really don’t give a shit about Corrin’s blood. I’m not choosing Birthright because I want Corrin to claim her Birthright, I’m choosing it because Nohr is cartoonishly evil.
And here’s the kicker, the ultimate reason to choose Hoshido: Garon tried to murder Corrin. Twice. First with Hans at the bridge, then again with the bomb at the plaza. Choosing Nohr is suicidally stupid. I know Corrin’s naive, but this is just idiotic.
And Corrin doesn’t even bring this up. She doesn’t shout to Xander, “Hans attempted to murder me as we were fleeing the Bottomless Canyon, apparently working under orders from King Garon. I do not feel safe returning to Nohr.”
No, she doesn’t explain jack shit. She lets Xander think she’s betraying him, when in reality she’s just doing the right thing. Corrin is an imbecile and it makes this game painfully dumb.
Birthright Chapter 6: In The White Light
We chose Hoshido. Right away, the chapter title screen changes, going from the mix of white lilies and black roses from earlier chapters to just white lilies. The text boxes also get a new blueish tint. Corrin tells Xander to withdraw his troops and that she’s siding with Hoshido.
Xander says that Corrin must be brainwashed. He reveals that he’s known all along that Garon kidnapped Corrin as a child. Something that he kept from Corrin, because he’s a great older brother. He tells Corrin that they are family, regardless of blood, and that Garon will forgive her. The first one of those is true, but the other is laughable. Has he ever met Garon?
Corrin tells Xander about Garon blowing up the plaza, killing dozens of innocent people, and endangering her life. Corrin calls Garon evil and Xander, apparently ignoring the whole mass murder thing, gets pissed. Corrin asks him to join her and Xander attacks her. Prick.
Side note, the music in this scene is fantastic. It reminds me of the Midmire theme from Awakening and really feels hopeless. Xander beats the shit out of Corrin and Ryoma runs in to save her. The two princes duel, and the battle begins. Also, Jakob shows up.
Ryoma, Hinoka, and Tamuki join Corrin as the two families battle. Interestingly, those three are listed as being part of a different army on the bottom screen, implying that they won’t be around after this battle.
Ryoma
The crown prince of Hoshido. A swordmaster with impeccable strength, skill, and speed. His personal skill, Bushido, makes him fight better when supported by low level units, fitting his honorable Samurai aesthetic. His armor looks cool, but he has crazy, Raditz length hair and this weird horned crown that I dislike. He carries this cool lightning katana called Ranjito. Personality wise, he seems a bit dull. He’s a loyal, protective prince, but at first glance there isn’t much more there.
Hinoka
Corrin’s older sister and a Sky Knight. Her personal skill buffs damage of nearby allies. I kinda like her tomboy haircut and lack of a ridiculously big bust, she looks more like a normal person than most Fates characters. She seems really protective of Corrin and her homeland. Also, I kinda hate her voice.
Takumi
Corrin’s brother, an archer. Who is a prick. A massive prick. He has a massive attack stat for an archer and wields a custom bow that shoots arrows made of light. His design isn’t too interesting, aside from the ponytail that looks weird because it’s cut off by the edge of the screen in his portrait. Personality wise, Takumi is a prick. He’s the best written character in the game, from what I remember. But he’s still a prick.
Also, I suppose I should discuss the Nohrian royals now, because by the time I play Fates my perception will be clouded by the events of Birthright.
Xander
The honorable prince of Nohr. Our protector turned enemy. A Paladin reminiscent of Camus, Selena, and Mustafa from past games, willing to stand by his country even if it is evil. Stat wise, Xander is an absolute tank. His personal skill is called Chivalry, a parallel to Ryoma’s Bushido. It boosts him when fighting enemies with full health. I love Xander’s design, the black and purple with an ascot that makes him look both intimidating and regal, the small black cwon, and that face. He looks like a man tormented by his own actions. I love Xander’s personality, this honorable man who, when forced to choose between his family and his morals, chose the former. He’s actually a good parallel to Corrin, now that I think about it. That said, he is a bit dumb, and trying to kill Corrin was a dick move.
Camila
Ugh. Camila. She’s a new class called Malig Knight, basically a Wyvern Rider with magic abilities. Her personal skill boosts the damage done by allies. Her design...sigh...her design is very, very, very fanservicey, with massive titties and exposed cleavage. Camila is a fanservice character, which is a trend in Fire Emblem that I’m not fond of. Personality wise she’s...creepily obsessed with Corrin, to the point of being kinda incestuous. Ugh. Camila was this game’s breakout character and that’s really disappointing, because she’s probably the worst of the royals in my opinion.
Leo
Leo’s a Dark Knight with a personal skill called Pragmatic that boosts damage against already injured foes. I like how his armor looks; the collar is a bit much, but it’s kinda charming. Also, he looks like he’s Xander’s brother, which is something that they forgot to do with the rest of the royals. Personality wise, he seems to be the only character in this family that isn’t a gigantic moron, which is refreshing. The trick with faking Kaze and Rinkah’s deaths was nefarious, but kind, which is a trait I like in a character.
Elise
The other moe healer little sister, now on horseback. Her personal skill reduces damage done to nearby allies. Design wise, she looks adorable. So adorable that she should not be a soldier and should not have children. I do like the pigtails, although it is weird that they’re both purple and blonde. She’s a bit more forceful in her personality than Sakura, which is good. She’s cute but not boring.
The battle, if you can even call it that, was basically just a quick fight between Ryoma and Xander. After the Nohrians retreat without saying anything, Corrin swears to stand with Hoshido, even though it's the hardest choice she’s ever made. Even though, as we’ve discussed, it isn’t a hard choice at all.
Also, the intro plays again. Nothing is different this time, but it does play again. After that pointless interruption, Lilith shows up again. Remember Lilith? She was important a few chapters ago. And then wasn’t mentioned again until this moment. Lilith takes us into the Astral Plane, introducing us to a new mechanic: My Castle. Which we will get into, next time.

Back on my AU making BS!
Edit: (Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5)
I was finally able to watch A:TLA for the first time in my life (I haven’t finished the series yet, I’m on mid-S2, on Tales of Ba Sing Se) and I was, of course, struck by an A:TLA/Ninjago au. So I’m gonna talk about it.
So the FSM is the Firelord (He’s like an Ozai/Azulon combo) bc screw him. Omega is his dad and was the one who started the war. The war goes about the same as in A:TLA, with the Air Nomad genocide. Garm and Wu are the two Fire Nation princes (both are benders), until Garm basically pulls a Zuko and gets himself banished. Haven’t decided if I want the circumstances for Garm to be the same as they were for Zuko (speaking out in a war room meeting and the Agni Kai and all that) or if Garm ends up with a scar (it wouldn’t be exactly like Zukos if I do end up giving him one, but it will be very noticeable) but he is sent away on the same wild goose chase after the Avatar.
(Side-note, in this world the Air Nomad Avatar was killed in the genocide, and at least one Avatar has lived and died completely unaware they were the Avatar. Y’all can probably guess where I’m going with this. Shush.)
So Garm, a traumatized disgraced teenager, sets out to find the Avatar. It goes about as well as you all have probably guessed. I debated over whether or not to give Mystake an Iroh-like role, but ultimately decided against it. Years go by, and Garm does eventually realize that his father gave him a fools errand, but what else is he supposed to do? He cant go back to the Fire Nation, and if he tries to go anywhere else he’ll be imprisoned and killed bc he’s y’know a Fire Nation royal. So he just stays on the boat, and actually ends up befriending a new, very young crew member (only a few months older than Garm when he gets assigned to the ship. They’re like, 17ish at this point), a Fire Bender named Ray.
And then, when they’re sailing near the South Pole, a huge storm hits. Ray, who can’t swim, gets knocked overboard, and Garm, being an impulsive, ride-or-die idiot who just got a friend for the first time since he was banished, jumps after him. They get swept away, and are presumed dead by the rest of the crew on the boat, which returns to the Fire Nation with the news that the Prince and a crew member have perished. If we’re being honest, the crew should have spent enough time around Garm to know he’s too stubborn to die.
Garm and Ray make it to the Southern Water Tribe. And by that I mean they wash up on the shore of the Southern Water Tribe half drowned and frozen and clinging to consciousness. The Southern Water Tribe isn’t as decimated as it is in A:TLA since the war hasn’t been going on for a whole century and the men haven’t gone off to fight and there are still some waterbenders, but it isn’t nearly as prosperous as the Northern Water Tribe. The two boys are found by Maya, a waterbender, and her friend Koko, a nonbender who has a fascinating backstory I’ll get to eventually.
(I’m going to make this worlds Misako/Koko a sort of mashup of her show and movie versions, which basically means Koko but she likes history and archaeology and she has glasses. There are glasses in A:TLA, right?)
So Maya and Koko find Garm and Ray, two half dead Fire Nation soldiers, and don’t know what to do. Bc they’re Fire Nation, but they’re injured and there doesn’t seem to be any other soldiers, and looking closer they cant be much older than the girls are, and crap I don’t think that ones breathing!
Maya saves Ray while Koko easily holds an injured Garm back bc he doesn’t know what she’s doing but she can’t possibly be helping him, can she? Things are at an awkward standstill at that point, bc Garm and Ray don’t want to be taken to the tribe, but even if they were in any shape to fight they wouldn’t exactly last long in the South Pole without any supplies, and there’s no way the girls are going to let them just, go free, so the boys get tied up and awkwardly walked back to the village.
There’s a period of chaos in the village as they try to figure out what to do with Garm and Ray. Garm is completely honest about how they got there (banished Prince, Avatar hunt, storm, etc. He doesn’t mention that his father straight up mutilated him tho) bc he thinks that he an Ray have a better chance of not being killed if he lets everyone know that they haven’t actually done anything in the war. Garms been on a boat sailing in circles for like, five years, and even though Ray was trained to be a soldier he was sent straight to Garms ship instead of into combat.
Some people want to hold them hostage, some people want to chuck them out and let the elements take care of them, some people want to straight up kill them. Eventually its just decided by the chief (mb that Sorrla lady from the Never Realm in S11?) that the boys are just going to be kept as prisoners and kept under constant supervision. After all, they have no idea if the Fire Nation has written Garm and Ray off as dead like Garm is sure that they have, and killing a Fire Nation Prince, banished or not, could bring a world of hurt down on the already hurting tribe.
So Garm and Ray are under constant supervision, banned from firebending under any circumstance, and basically put to work helping the village. Years go by. Ray and Garm learn about how the war has been hurting the world, and realize all the propaganda that they were being feed since they were young, and that the Fire Nation and Garms family especially are kinda the bad guys. And as the tribe members (and Maya and Koko especially) get to actually know these two Fire Nation boys, they learn that yeah the Fire Nation as a whole is kinda terrible, but its full of people who are under a tyrannical regime where not even the Crown Prince is safe from the wrath of the Firelord. And these guys are actually pretty good guys considering where they’ve come from!
Eventually Garm and Ray go from being captives to being a part of the tribe. There are still some people who never trust them, but overall they just get adopted by the Southern Water Tribe. And yes, Garm and Ray marry Koko and Maya.
I know that more stuff goes down in the Southern Water Tribe with Katara and Sokka’s mom, the Southern Raiders, and Hama and stuff like that, but all i know is from vague Tumblr osmosis bc I haven’t gotten to that part in A:TLA, but when I do I will revise this part of the au as I see fit. I’m probably going to avoid killing Maya bc I like her.
Life is as good as it can be during a war. At any sign that anyone from the Fire Nation could show up Garm and Ray hide bc they dont want to risk being recognized. And you guessed it, when the kids finally come around, Kai is a firebender, and Nya is a waterbender. I’m also making them Irish twins. Lloyd is three years younger than them. The men of the tribe go off to fight, and Ray goes with them. Garm wanted to go, but the risk of him being recognized as the dead Fire Nation Prince was too much of a risk, so he stayed in the village.
(I might come up with something to get rid of Maya and Koko without killing them, but idk right now)
More time passes, and when Lloyd is about 10 they find out that he can waterbend to when he was trying to copy Nya. But wait, Garm is Fire Nation, and Koko was originally from the Earth Kingdom, Lloyd shouldn’t be able to waterbend. And then Lloyd accidentally kicks up a small windstorm.
And thats when Garm realizes that he’s finally found the Avatar.
(I’m gonna make a part two bc this got long and I have more to say.)

masterlist of plots
this is my *wink wink nudge nudge* post.
featuring: christopher pike, catherine morland, flynn carsen, prince eric, daisy johnson, clara stahlbaum, the prince
like this and i’ll yell at you
1. christopher pike
season 3 but with christopher pike pls. gimme all the threads.
is your muse a teenager/young adult who needs a mentor/dad?? look no further, because christopher pike is the dad (tm) and would like to adopt all of the children. please give me all of the plots where he nurture someone.
honestly, gimme some discovery muses and we can add a little plot in the middle of the season, let them discover planets and be a science vessel (for once!). pike does not understand everything that is going on (he is a humanities major surrounded by a bunch of stem majors) but he is excited and willing to learn
2. catherine morland.
OK BUT WHO IS FINALLY GOING TO LET ME WRITE AGAINST A VILLAIN THAT CATHERINE FALLS IN LOVE WITH??? BECAUSE YOU ALL KNOW THE WOULD. AND IT WOULD BE FUCKING HILARIOUS BECAUSE CATHERINE IS ALL DREAMER AND COMMON SENSE, SO SHE AT FIRST WOULD BE LIKE oh you are evil its sexy to then be like: but why, that’s such a bad idea. villain: that’s my masterplan! catherine: that’s stupid
people should 100% be friends with catherine because she is a sweetheart but also very stupid -- so, you know, she is fun.
3. flynn carsen.
i also need flynn to fall in love with a villain asap. thanks.
also gimme more heavily plotted threads of flynn saving the world, we can create a magical object, a villain (we can have npcs in the threads pls!!) and an objective. we can just... create our own tiny movie. please, give me a heavily plotted adventure with flynn!
flynn carsen is a genius. i need someone to kidnap him to use his brain to do some scary stuff. i just... he would be a mess in this situation and there is untapped chaos here.
4. prince eric.
we all know the arranged marriage plot. but it doesn’t fit eric... you know what fits.... TRAPPED INTO MARRIAGE PLOT! let’s plot something out, either a family member that’s scheming, someone catches our muses in a compromising (completely accidental) position!!
gimme a matey. a crew member in eric’s ship that he is friends with!!! give this boy some friends!!!
someone make a sibling oc/a sibling verse for eric because he has the most chaotic big brother energy ever. let these two kids, who were raised by servants, be close friends. maybe she is an adventurer like him. maybe she thinks she would be a better queen than him (she would probably!).
5. daisy johnson
anything set in season 7 because it’s my fav (it’s time travel, y’all know I’m weak for that) -- so yes, gimme historical figures daisy can meet, gimme historical plots, gimme daisy getting stuck in the past for two months and having to invent a life for herself (gimme do.usy)
DAISY JOHNSON IS THE LEADER OF THE SECRET WARRIORS, A GROUP OF INHUMANS WHO WORK WITH SHIELD. thanks, the show forgets that but i don’t. Now, let’s see -- what if we play around with that? Who wnats to meet baddass superhero Daisy, who leads a skilled team and cracks jokes at every opportunity?
6. clara stahlbaum.
the four realms are connected to the rest of the disney world. give me clara opening her borders again, her kingdom is a land of wonder and she can get to know the other royals!! i’d love if some of the princesses’s got close to her??? clara is always looking for positive female influence in her life!
someone from the real world who follows clara into the four realms? preferred family connections or close friends (would need to plot as clara is not very outgoing!).
descendants stuff for her! the four realms still exist with magic but its closed off from auradon. it was technically supposed to be permanently closed off and emptied, but that would not be possible and her mother refused to. on a show of good faith, she sent her children to auradon. gimme the friendships, the rivalries, the loves!
7. the prince (the beast from beauty and the beast)
platonic.
basically the same as the romantic plot 1 but instead of falling in love they become very good friends instead. and this other person can leave the castle so they bring the prince things from the real world -- news, letters from his mother, a shirt that smells like the sea!
gimme like an older sister relationship with him??? someone who constantly mocks him, who makes fun of him but would kill someone if they hurt him? someone the prince can lean on for comfort and love?
give me stuff set in an hp universe where the prince has a gang? not like a criminal gang more like a squad of other rich boys who are terrible but lovable??? also possible set in modern times... though a criminal gang... someone talk to me about it... oh wow...
a plot with a fellow royal where they are 100% platonic but pretend to not be so they can get their royal parent’s off their backs.
romantic.
when the castle is cursed, all humans who were staying there are frozen in place, unable to leave (basing this off the villenueve version). the prince is all alone, or so he thinks. for reasons (a magical pendant, fairy blood, magic) someone else is able to escape the curse. they are both very happy to have found each other, thinking they would be forced to live inside that castle all alone until the curse was broken. until they fall in love, but that’s not enough to break the curse, because their love doesn’t meet the requirements set forth by the curse (he could only be rude and slow, the woman had to come willingly to the castle thinking she would be devoured). so yeah, angst.
a prior engagement. the prince was engaged to a princess from another kingdom and they were very much in love (probably a secret engagement). when the curse is broken, the princess rushes to see the prince again and finds him engaged to belle (if she got married during this time???? more angst?). years have passed, their lives changed, but when they see each other, its like they are eighteen again and plotting a secret engagement.
when the curse is broken in the villenueve version, his mother at first complains that Belle is not of royal blood and therefore should not be allowed to marry him. the fairy then reveals that belle is the secret child of another kingdom. BUT WHAT IF SHE WASN’T??? this applies to belle and any other muse of no royal blood that could fit -- the prince is forced to marry a princess (after all, the kingdom’s heir disappeared for years, they need to show strength now), but he keeps his relationship with the woman who broke the curse???

100 Days My Prince: Drama Review
Tumblr media
—
Bingo Card For 100 Days My Prince
Synopsis: Lee Yul is the Crown Prince of Joseon, a perfectionist who disregards the majority of those in the royal palace and appears cold and demanding when in reality, he is just lonely. One day, he passes a law stating that all Korean citizens of marriageable age must do so before they reach the age of 28. Hong Shim is a strong, intelligent woman who takes on multiple jobs to support herself and her father. She is also the oldest unmarried woman in her village and is in need of a husband in order to avoid punishment from law officials. In an attempted assassination, Lee Yul finds himself severely injured and under Hong Shim and Hong Sim's father's care. Due to his injuries, Lee Yul develops temporary amnesia and wanders around aimlessly as a commoner with no name or identity. Because of the law passed by Lee Yul, he and Hong Shim are forced to marry each other in order to save Hong Shim from punishment as well as her village from the drought. What follows is the love story of Hong Shim, 'Joseon's oldest unmarried woman,' and Lee Yul, the amnesiac Crown Prince.
Overall Main Plot: Rating - 7 out of 10
This is a drama that sets everything up for you, so the viewer doesn’t really have any surprises unless it happens during that time. I was overall satisfied with the way they tied in all the usual tropes (childhood lovers, rebellion from the court, amnesia, etc.) together. It’s a typical historical kdrama: the Crown Prince and attempted assassinations, rebellion against the crown, etc. However, there are three major reasons I docked off points:
The Beginning - it felt like the beginning was rather slowed down. This goes for the plot and the romance, in which there was a weird still that happened in the plot. I literally stopped watching after episode 4 because I wasn’t feeling it and then things picked back up again in episode 5 and 6.
The Ending - I did not like that the Vice Premier didn’t get what was coming to him. The “revenge” of the plot felt too  anticlimactic. He should’ve just rotted in prison, but they decided to kill him and it felt like too little.
The Break-Up Sequence - I’m gonna go into this a bit more for the romance, but overall, I hated that, in the last episode, they had to insert a time skip where they would met again and it just, did not hit. I thought it was unnecessary, especially since her brother had already paid for his sins so, yeah.
Characters: Rating - 8 out of 10
↣ Lee Yul/Na Won Deuk [played by Do Kyungsoo] - I’m gonna be honest. I love Do Kyungsoo, but it took me a while to like his character. I pitied him because he had to go through so much as a child, but, as a grown man, it took me a while to like him. When he started to open up is when I started to like him as a male lead. Since I watched Shopping King Louis before this, I was less favorable towards him than compared to Louis. I really liked his development though, especially as Won Deuk and his desire to live a normal life with Hong Shim.
↣ Yeon Yi Suh/Hong Shim [played by Nam Jihyun] - I really loved her character as a whole. There were a couple of times I was annoyed with her, but I remember that she’s an active character and she’s bound to get into unfavorable situations that’ll get her into trouble. One thing I really liked about her is that she took action rather than waiting for someone to help her; I really liked her development and how she learned that she can depend on people for some things. I am personally so fond of her relationship with her adopted father; they were absolutely adorable. But yeah, throughout the drama, I felt bad about her and really rooted for her and her happiness.
↣ Jung Jae Yoon [played by Kim Seonho] - I tend to have second lead syndrome, but this time it was rather weak. I think it’s just because I felt like I didn’t know what side he was working for until near the end and I realized he was a really good guy. So, the SLS doesn’t hurt that much. Overall, I really liked his development in which he is still a good politician and he became really close friends with Yul.
Personal Notes: I was weirdly attached to Do Jihan’s character (he played Dongjo, the Crown Prince’s personal guard), so when he was killed, I cried on the inside. On the other hand, Kim Jaeyoung’s character (Moonyeon/Seon Ha), I had a feeling he was going to die, but I didn’t realize he would just be killed off near the end. I felt bad for him, but he did try to kill the Prince so...
Romance: Rating - 8 out of 10
I actually really liked the romance; I think it’s only because they set up the whole child-lovers thing, so I was motivated to root for them. Again, the beginning was rather slow, but they had a reason to be. I thought it was nice to watch their romance blossom, but I didn’t really like Yul in the beginning since he kind of made Hong Shim’s life harder (getting money from a loan shark, not being able to do labor, etc.). It took me a bit to warm up to his character, but overall, they had a good romance and I’m glad they had a happy ending. I’m just lowkey upset that the last episode wasn’t as cathartic as it should have been. The last episode contained the break-up/time gap sequence and it felt really unnecessary. Her brother was already dead at that point, so like what was the point of separating them? And while it was romantic for him to propose again (have events repeat themselves), I just thought it would have been better to have the whole thing happen at once after the whole war thing broke out. The overall romance was nice, but, again, it was kind of slow to begin and, towards the end, it was unnecessary to have them break up and get back together when they were kind of yearning for each other all of their lives and such.
Second Plot/B-Plot and Secondary Characters: Rating - 9 out of 10
I was actually kind of fond of the side characters. I really liked the villagers specifically and how close their community was. I really felt bad for Hong Shim’s friend (KKeut Nyeo) because I really liked her, but her husband was stupid. But, again, I loved how close their community was and how much they liked Hong Shim. As for the more antagonistic side characters, I think that they were really well done. I really did not like them and when they were met with their end, it was very satisfying. Even for the Crown Princess, I felt bad for her because of her family, but it’s not like she didn’t deserve it. The only reason it’s a nine instead of a ten is because some of the side characters felt unnecessary, but they were given interesting backstories and it made the plot progress further.
Additional Notes:
Genre - I’m not a fan of historical dramas, primarily because they’re all centered on the royal family, keeping the throne, and rebels. Everyone dies so quickly too and, at that point, I’m not surprised, just disappointed. But, I did think this one had a nicer touch because there was a strong female lead, especially in this time period.
Tropes - the childhood first love trope was actually nice because it wasn’t thrown in last minute and actually used to drive the plot and character development.
The last episode kind of missed the mark. I was kind of upset at how they built it up throughout the drama, but they missed so many opportunities in the last episode. I think the only trope I didn’t like was the time skip because it was really unnecessary to have that break-up too. So, the ending was kind of... bad (in my opinion).
Overall Rating: 8 out of 10
Recommended?
↣ Yes: if you don’t like surprises in a drama, this is for you. This drama sets up everything for the viewer and the viewer watches it unfold. This is also a different type of historical drama; while they do focus on the Crown Prince and such, they also show a glimpse of non-royal life, which is something you don’t really get in historical dramas. Another reason to watch this is that there is more romance into it. The main couple has a lot of moments that are cute and you definitely end up rooting for them.
↣ No: royal battles for the crown is the main plot, other than the romance, if you aren’t interested, it isn’t for you. This is also a drawn out drama with a lot of tropes (as claimed on my bingo card), so if you don’t have patience, it’s not for you. It does have the basic kdrama tropes, along with the basic historical kdrama tropes, but then again, it’s not a kdrama without it.

I'm new to your worldbuilding and ocs. Could you steer me in the direction of who everyone is and what's going on in the stories? thank you
HELLO ANON
I NEED YOU TO KNOW I LOVE THIS QUESTION and also! welcome to my blog! i have a lot of minor background wips, and several main ones. i’m gonna throw this under the cut!
GROUNDHOG DAY - 60k words into the first book, outlining the second half of the first draft - part of Cat House Productions Verse
This is my MAIN wip. The heart and soul of everything I write. Groundhog Day is set in two versions of the same classic rpg video game, one the gritty reboot of the other. But when glitches start to wreck the original games’ codes, several characters begin retaining memories of their past lives, realizing their kingdoms are trapped in a time loop. It’s even worse when another glitch strikes, switching the games of one of the characters with his counterpart—Red and Blue—prompting a race to get home amidst the formation of friendship and family and the threat of a new war.
It stars Bolte, Locke, Red, and Blue. Secondary mains include Captain, Celeste, Aba, and Midnight! You can find art of most everyone HERE! Locke is the goodest good boi to ever exist, the literal embodiment of Hope. Bolte is a very hurt, angry desperate knight just trying to keep himself and Red alive. They’re the two “Official Mains” of the wip. Celeste is one of the most popular side characters - they’re a spider bard!
It’s a “worlds collide”, power of friendship and love story set in two candy kingdoms; one already fallen and the other on the cusp of war. The main themes are learning to accept help, making your own family, and understanding that there’s always time to make a better life and a better self. Hope, love, and compassion are the main driving points. It’s a highly emotional story, and the first of an eventual series.

STARBOY - 13 chapters in, posted over on patreon.com/abalonetea for the $10+ tiers, excerpts and art frequently posted here, goal of finishing by december
The crew of the Cosmic Pearl have been on the run for years now, their ship set in a permanent course towards chaos. It’s just that they’ve never really gotten into a mess like this before.
When they find a ship idling in a part of the galaxy no one else should be, Rumi orders it to be docked. What sort of pirate would skip a chance to plunder, right? It’s just…the ship isn’t abandoned. And the single man they find on board isn’t…exactly how he should be.
Judges cast the first stone, but hunters throw the knives.
And captain’s? Well, they’ll protect ship and crew to their dying breaths.
Rumi just hopes he’s not about to take his any time soon.
An epic space adventure following the pirate crew of the Cosmic Pearl. Main characters are Rumi, Starboy (Jude), Jaxon, and Carmelo. Rumi is the captain, and he’s got a really hard time keeping track of his pants. It’s a running theme for him. The basic idea is that a concept called “Judges” exist in this world. It’s random who ends up as a Judge. Jude is a Judge that managed to escape from Unity, where he was being held, and who accidentally gets picked up by Rumi and his crew.
The smart thing to do would be to just turn Jude in but...Rumi’s not known for being smart. What follows is an epic chase across the galaxy while they try to get Starboy home, find their own treasure, and avoid being caught by Hunters. Heavy themes of found family, learning to be yourself and not what other people want, friendship matters, and also poly-relationships.

PASS YOU BY - almost done the outline, hopeful nano story
Axel and Wrench have made a living for themselves in the Fallows; the wasteland left behind after a magical nuclear explosion. They aren’t expecting for a doll to show up in their dreams and rip them into an entirely new world. They really aren’t expecting for a bunch of children to show up in their bedroom closet, talking about how they’re the only ones that can stop the Melt from destroying their world.
Despite having been content finally making an easy going, relaxed life for themselves, they can’t let literal children try to save the world. So they take up that task instead...and find the same doll from their dreams at the heart of it all.
Main characters are Axel, Wrench, Blanket and Doll. Secondary mains are Ruin, Russet, Wren, and Melt. Wrench is literally a walking lamp post, and Axel has a floating cow skull for a head. It’s a hardcore fantasy with magic, alternate worlds, and a “Studio Ghibli” vibe to the designs.
The running theme is that Axel and Wrench, an unofficially-married married couple end up adopting a bunch of kids because the other adults in this world are useless. Culture clash, Food With Importance, found family, and making a place in the world are all the main themes. The first in a two part set, with a spin off planned called Take It To The Grave.
_-_-_-_
Dandelion Fluff - gets published on the 15th
A casual read about the prince of the Land of Monsters and the monster he finds trapped in the basement of the Royal Labs. Running themes are making wishes reality, it’s never too late to find a friend, standing up for the people you love, and dealing with grief in your own way.
The prequel to the upcoming book Quilted Blanket, in the outlining stages presently.

You’ll also frequently find me posting about my background wips -
NeonPnk - set in a post apocalyptic world where radiation has caused people to develop “glowderm”, causing glowing colored patches on their skin. It follows the members of a strip club trying to locate one of their missing employees and accidentally over throwing the government in the process.
The Business - animal mafia, set in the video game world of The Business
Catharsis - all about vampires, soul mates, and dealing with grief
Wings Of War - set in a CHP video game, starring the winged members of the Compass Team.
Swimming In Stars - four young adults take the road trip they were never able to go on in their youth
I also make new wips every three or four days and will frequently post about them here! I LOVE answering questions, so feel free to ask any questions about the wips or characters if you would like!
A lot of my stories have food as a central theme, and about half of them are set in the CHP verse, meaning they take place in various video games.

Empress of the Ming/ Ming Dynasty
I closely followed this drama since it began and all I can say is that it is one of the best shows I have ever watched. Most people have found the amount of politics and the lack of harem intrigue and romance rather boring yet I think it does perfect justice to the protagonist and the struggle of the era.
Tumblr media
I have always wanted to see a strong female character beyond the harem intrigue in historical fiction and this drama is perfection. I must admit I was a little sad that I didn’t get to see too much of the lead characters together but hey... a drama can not be too perfect (except for Minglan, that is what you call PERFECTION). The drama basically follows the journey of Ruowei, a daughter of an Imperial physician whose family is purged as the Yongle Emperor comes to the throne. You get to see her as a rebel, an imperial consort, an Empress and then regent. Though she is smart and talented, she values relationships immensely which the people around her often forget to see. She is a character you can relate to most of the time and someone you will constantly root for.
Let’s get to the main cast of the show.
Sun Ruowei (Empress Xiaogongzhang)
Tumblr media
Daughter of a royal doctor, she spent her early childhood being loved by her parents and loved her younger sister dearly. However, her mother and father are killed and she is separated from her parents. She is adopted by Sun Zhong, and becomes a part of a cult who are mostly orphans from the purging. She is talented however she is manipulated by the cult to take revenge by entering the palace. She has deep feelings for Xu Bin, another member of the cult, who distances himself from her knowing how dangerous the world is. During some of her escapades, she meets the Imperial Grandson Zhu Zhanji, who eventually falls in love with her. After her adoptive father passes away, she becomes Zhanji’s concubine to honor her father’s last wish and in an attempt to legitimize the runaway orphans. When she enters the palace, she is reunited with her long-lost younger sister who becomes Zhanji’s wife. During her time in the mansion of the Crown Prince, she becomes familiar with military and court affairs winning the admiration of influential members of the court. When her underage son ascends to the throne, she becomes co-regent and rules over the land. Ruowei, despite her keen intelligence, values relationships a lot. Her younger sister, the Empress, often gets herself into trouble which Ruowei covers up for and attempts to protect her. Even the Crown Prince, Zhanji’s father, receives her care even though she is aware that his family killed hers. People see her as a rather cold and strict woman yet her love for her son, sister, and husband is immense and you get to see the inner struggle in her. I love Ruowei yet sometimes I wish she is less kind and forgiving towards people who don’t deserve it. Rating: 9/10
Zhu Zhanji (Xuande Emperor)
Tumblr media
Imperial Grandson; the eldest child of the Crown Prince (Hongxi Emperor) and Crown Princess. He is a mix of his father and grandfather; he had his grandfather’s ambition, intelligence, and pride but also has his father’s, good heart. His encounters with Ruowei cause him to fall in love with her despite his knowledge of her love for Xu Bin. However, he is forced to marry Hu Shanxiang, a woman recommended by his uncle, and takes in Ruowei as a concubine. Nevertheless, it is clear that Shanxiang is nothing but a burden for him and the only woman in his heart is Ruowei. When he joins his grandfather on an expedition against the Oirat, he finds out his father’s health is going downhill and that his grandfather plans on replacing his father. To save his family, he conceals his grandfather’s plans and helps his father ascend to the throne. However, as the Hongxi Emperor dies and his uncles rebel, Zhanji is forced to the battlefield as soon as he ascends to the throne. After the birth of his children, he finds out Shanxiang helped his uncles escape the city and was his spy, his mental health goes downhill and dies. A passionate man yet he is a faithful lover for the most part. Rating: 7/10
Hu Shanxiang (Empress Gongrangzhang)
Tumblr media
The younger daughter of a royal doctor, she lost her parents at a very young age and is saved by the Crown prince and the Imperial grandson. She is raised by a palace official Hu Shangxi who adopts her as her niece. Under her tutelage, Shanxiang becomes aware of all of the inner machinations of the palace and she herself wishes to gain power. Since her childhood, she has wished to pay back the favor of saving her life and therefore makes an attempt to become Zhanji’s wife. To do so, she allies herself with Prince Han, the uncle of Zhanji, and marries Zhanji as his legitimate wife. Though initially she is overjoyed to reunite with her sister Ruowei, she soon realizes that she is the standing block between her and Zhanji which brings upon a certain distance. She is highly skeptical of everyone around her which causes her to distrust the only person who helps her out in the palace. Her identity is revealed and Zhanji demotes her to a nun. She eventually earns the position of Dowager Imperial Consort when her son ascends to the throne (historically inaccurate). Yet, she isn’t satisfied as she sees Ruowei as a constant reminder of Zhanji’s treatment towards her and wishes to become Empress Dowager and that her son remains on the throne. Her greed pushes her daughter-in-law and grandson to die, resulting in the relationship with her son to deteriorate. Rating: 2/10
Zhu Qizhen (Emperor Yingzong)
Tumblr media
Son of Ruowei and Zhanji. A kid born with developmental issues is carefully nurtured by his mom to return to normal. However, his surroundings do not help with his upbringing and his grandmother’s pampering causes him to become a rather insolent and spoiled child. He always thinks that his mother is out for his power and sees her as his biggest obstacle. In an attempt to prove himself a capable leader, he goes out to war and is taken as a hostage by the Oirat Mongols. It is here that he begins to understand the hardships of life and the hard work his mom has put in. He also falls in love with the sister of the Khan and has a kid with her while being held in hostage. When he is finally allowed to return as a retired Emperor, his half-brother makes his life miserable and even kills his wife. This brings upon a paradigm change in him which leads to him eventually taking back the throne and finally ruling on his own. However, his relationship with his mom is irreparable and he is unable to come to terms with it. Rating: 4/10
Zhu Qiyu (Jingtai Emperor)
Tumblr media
Son of Shanxiang and Zhanji. He is raised to be skeptical of everyone and to be patient enough to grab power by his mother. When he is initially raised to the throne, he listens to Ruwei’s counsel and does remarkably well. However his mother’s machinations and greed lead to him developing a desire to sit on the throne forever. When his wife and son die, he loses his mind and blames it on Ruowei and Qizhen and tries to make their lives miserable. Qizhen eventually takes over the throne and Qiyu is killed by him. Rating: 1/10
Xu Bin
Tumblr media
Another orphan who grew up with Ruowei, wishing to bring justice to all of the orphans hiding for their life. He too is in love with Ruowei however he persuades her to marry Zhanji for the greater good, knowing that she has the power to bring upon a change in their lives. Zhanji knows about their love and he is extremely jealous of him (their conversations are so funny!) however he gives Xu Bin a chance to go on a sea voyage thus separating both of them. Later on, when Ruowei becomes Empress Dowager, Xu Bin returns and helps her reunite with her son. At the very end when she wishes to escape it all, he renews his offer to take her all around the world just like he did when they were younger. Sigh, I would have liked him a lot more if I could bring myself to dislike Zhanji. Rating: 7/10
Overall Rating:
There is keen detail paid to every historical fact in the drama with the exception of some harem details. You get to learn a lot about the Yongle period and especially see what Ming Dynasty looked like. You also get to see an epic romance where you are quite literally dying to see them together however you don’t get to see it too often, sigh! And most importantly you get to see a competent woman being praised for being competent while getting flake for obstructing the power of the men. It’s not only Ruowei but also her mother-in-law Empress Dowager Zhang who was historically the main regent during the time Qizhen was still a kid, which the drama does justice to. I admit there isn’t enough of the harem drama or romance and most of the drama is political issues and Ruowei’s rule. I will promise you though that you will see more romance here than you will in Nirvana in Fire which is worth considering. There aren’t enough reviews about this show online, however, it is a gem and it is definitely worth your time if you don’t mind learning a little bit of history.
