so basically marc got to see what it would be like for them to be together.... and out in the open! they could have this and be out and they wouldn't have to keep it a secret... and at first he thought wow okay this is fake anyways vale's just playing along with this for whatever messed up reasons.. then marc got used to it! let himself actually enjoy it! let himself kiss vale at races etc! they're sleeping together again that must be a good sign! only for vale to suggest thaaat?? i can't and don't want to imagine what's going on in marc's head during that meeting and in the two weeks after.. probably he doesn't even care that it would lighten the blow for him he just keeps thinking about His vale with someone else who isn't him :(

yeah marc pov of fco au is crazy because in real life we know he is and was very hopeful that they can just move past sepang. like still deeply hurt but if vale came to him earnestly there would be a spring wedding etc. but fco is like. what if you were excruciatingly and explicitly aware that the only reason the love of your life is kissing you is because it is a PR strategy. and you haven’t talked through literally ANY of your sepang related issues. and ALSOOO you got actually and literally outed (marc marquez literal worst nightmare because of his neuroses about narrative control about himself). like it is a saw trap for valentino in manyyyyy ways but it should be noted marc’s brain is just full fire sirens for like an entire year here
