Aight, in personality, I have crippling social anxiety and I can't even talk to people in a super market to ask where a product is because that has led me to multiple panic attacks for some reason, don't ask questions, but once I am comfortable around someone that changes a lot. It takes quite a bit for me to get comfy, but once I am I'm like,,, too comfortable- Very loud, clingy, childish, over all just an asswipe. I enjoy making art and poetry and I can't make it through my day to day life without music or I'll just ascend. I have struggled with insecurity and mental issues, self-harm, etc, and have recently had a relapse episode in those things but I am too afraid to open up about that to most irl people, but things are going way better now.

On physical I am around 5,6 and I have a red wolfcut-ish thing. I enjoy baggy or anything more gothic or witch or 80s esc for clothing, and my music taste is practically everything and everything accept k-pop and dutch rap. I enjoy romance novels because I miss out on that too much irl and I enjoy horror because that's just entertaining, idk.

just random other things I thought I'd include would be I am a cardiophile, but more on the comfort and not fetish side of it. I enjoy doing hair, or playing with it, and I do that a lot to my friends when we're just chilling because it's funny. I enjoy singing and acting like I am in some sort of musical when I'm alone and I love nature, just going on walks or collecting plants. I practice witch craft, also more on the nature side of things in that way. I have volunteered multiple times at events for little children even though I hate them, it's the art side of things and I enjoyed face painting them for Halloween events or carnival things. I collect a lot of little trinkets and like giving people stupid stuff as un needed gifts and I WILL get personally offended if you do not cherish them.

He loves walks with you, it gives him time away from being Papa and all the stress of the ministry. He also loves how happy you are when you get a new plant. However sometimes he has to plan a route that avoids the nursery section of Primo's garden, because you only have so much room for plants.

You two make a good team. One good example is at clergy events when you do facepainting for the children. Even though he is awkward when children are around he likes them. So you can focus on the art and not have to intereact much with them and he gets to spend time with the little ones.

One day he catches you singing and acting like you are in a musical. At first you are mortified, but then you see the huge loving smile that appears in his lips. He starts singing the other part of the song dramtically jumping up on the table and acting in character. This is now one of your favrouite things to do together, especially when it's raining outside.

He cherishes all the little gifts you give him. You become afraid he just chucks them away because you never see them again. But then you see him carefully place it in a wooden box he keeps under the bed. It's the one he takes on tour with him, filled with things to cheer him up if he feels down or misses you.

Chemistry with him (Ninovember 2023)

It’s finally time!! I'm so excited to share this fic!! Read it on ao3. Written for @ninovember, these prompts were such a blast! Thanks so much!

Daily updates on ao3 with one chapter per prompt! Adrino meet cute in chemistry class with lots of fluff, some identity shenanigans, and eventual reveal. All my usual vices haha but it's super fun and cute! I’m expecting it to be around 45-50k in the end.

First chapter below the cut (Solo song) 💕

Nino was feeling really, really alone as he walked into his chemistry lecture. The room was massive, easily set up to fit a few hundred students and already half-full. He was immediately overwhelmed by it all.

(He wished he knew why he had to take this class, for starters, because he wasn’t looking forward to it.)

He’d imagined his first day at uni plenty of times, and it never panned out like this. This… kinda sucked. He was all alone, all of his friends at other schools. He picked out a seat in the middle of the lecture hall at random, because it’s not like he’d know anybody in this class. He didn’t know anyone who was already here. He wouldn’t know anyone who came in later.

It wasn’t all that bad. Nino was, unfortunately, kind of used to being alone.

He hadn’t planned for this. He hadn’t planned to come to this uni, knowing no one, having no friends here at all. When he’d committed, so had his (at the time) boyfriend. But his now-ex was someone he definitely didn’t want to see. And, well, since they’d planned to move in together, Nino was now stuck still living at home.

Which kinda sucked, when all his friends got to move out and into their own places, but at least Nino got to still enjoy his mom’s cooking and he was walking distance from his classes.

And he was used to being alone, so he could totally do this. He’d done it before. He could make it through the semester, and maybe even find some new friends, and it’s not like he wouldn’t see all his old friends from lycèe. He could hang out with them. He was still Carapace, so he’d see Marinette and Alya (and Chat Noir, whoever he was) on patrols and during akumas. He’d just be alone in all of his classes. But it would be fine, as long as he kept his head on straight.

It kind of sucked he was taking chemistry, but classes had filled up fast and he needed to take something and his advisor had said the credits would, somehow, count towards his major. It really sucked he was taking it first thing on a Monday morning (and Wednesdays, and Fridays, unfortunately). But he could get through it. He knew he could.

So no more boys. No distractions. He could do this all on his own.

“Is anyone sitting here?”

Nino looked up to find the source of the voice. A blond, green-eyed, absolutely beautiful someone.

Okay. Maybe one distraction.

“It’s all yours,” Nino said.

The man smiled as he sat down next to Nino. “Thanks.” He was almost impossibly handsome, far too put together for a Monday morning lecture, and Nino knew instantly he was in trouble.

(He wasn’t in love with this guy. He’d said all of three words to him.

Except, well, he was maybe a little in love with him and his perfect smile.)

He was kind of familiar, actually, now that Nino thought about it. Like, really familiar. “Do I know you from somewhere?”

“You might’ve seen me on a billboard on your way in. Or maybe in an ad,” the man said with a shrug.

A model? That would explain how Nino knew his face (and how attractive he was), but he couldn’t quite place him still. “Yeah, I’ve definitely seen you before. I can’t remember your name.”

“You’ll get it,” the man said, and then he winked.

Nino was a little speechless, his heart in his throat, but he missed his chance to really say anything else. The man was digging out a notebook and getting ready for class, and Nino didn’t want to interrupt.

“Hey, are you taking the lab for this class?” the man asked.

“Oh, no,” Nino said. “That seemed terrible.”

He laughed a little. “I was gonna ask you where it was, but I guess you’re not the person to ask, huh?”

“Definitely not. Sorry.”

“No worries.” The man offered him a warm smile before turning his attention back to his notebook.

God, what was his name? It was right on the tip of Nino’s tongue. Something with an ‘A’, he was pretty sure. Nino really wanted to keep talking to him, and remembering his name would be a really good excuse to talk.

It didn’t come to him before the professor started talking, though, and then it was definitely too late.

The lecture, thankfully, wasn’t really much of a lecture. It was the first day so there wasn’t much content to be learned, and it meant Nino could think about the person sitting next to him. He’d much rather think about that than listen to the professor read over the syllabus.

He’d definitely seen this guy before. And if he was a model, Marinette had maybe talked about him before. No, Marinette had definitely shown Nino pictures of him before.

He finally remembered after class, when the man had already packed up his things and had started walking away.

“Adrien!” Nino shouted, and he definitely hadn’t meant to say that so loud.

Adrien turned back around, clearly startled.

“Sorry!” Nino said quickly. “I, uh, I just remembered your name.”

Adrien smiled and even laughed a little. “Yeah. That’s me. Do I get to know your name?”

“I’m Nino.”

“Well, Nino,” Adrien said, shifting his bag on his shoulder, “I’ll see you next class?”

“Yeah,” Nino said, suddenly excited to come to his chemistry lecture. “I’ll save you a seat.”

“I’m looking forward to it.” Adrien waved, and Nino was frozen in place watching him go.

Adrien Agreste. That was his name. Nino couldn’t believe the chances of Adrien Agreste being in his lecture, let alone sitting next to him. Maybe chemistry wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Nino almost couldn’t believe it when he found himself looking forward to his next chemistry lecture. It was stupid to be excited about seeing Adrien, but he was. And, hey, he’d take just about anything to make the class more bearable.

He sat in the same seat as last time, and he waited. He wasn’t surprised when he heard his name.

“Nino!” Adrien said excitedly as he walked over, smiling bright.

“Hey, Adrien,” Nino said, smiling right back.

“Thanks for keeping me a seat,” Adrien said. “I can’t believe how many people are in this lecture.”

Most of the seats around them were already taken. Nino would be more than happy to save one next to him for Adrien every day. “I think it’s, like, 300 people.”

“I’d believe it,” Adrien said.

The professor started talking, quieting down the room, and it meant Nino couldn’t talk to Adrien anymore.

He was, obviously, upset about that. He only came to this class to see Adrien. Any learning he might do was not his top priority.

He ended up not learning all that much even without talking. Adrien took diligent notes next to him, and Nino tried. He did okay for the most part, even, and kind of understood what was going on, but got lost during the last few minutes and couldn’t get himself back on track.

His notes were definitely not going to help him figure this out. But Adrien…

Nino turned to him. “Hey, did you get notes on the last couple slides?” he asked. “I got kinda lost.”

“Oh, yeah,” Adrien said, pushing his notes towards Nino. “You can take a picture if you want. I think I got it all.”

Adrien’s notes were meticulous. Well-organized and in neat handwriting, a thousand times nicer than Nino’s ever were. Nino pulled out his phone to take the picture. “Thanks.”

“Where’s your next class?” Adrien asked as he packed up his things.

“Across campus,” Nino said with a sigh. “In the music building.”

“Music?” Adrien said, clearly surprised.

“My major,” Nino explained.

Adrien just looked more confused. “What are you doing in a chemistry course?”

“I wish I knew,” Nino said with a laugh.

“Fair enough,” Adrien said, laughing with him. “Well, I have a class that way, so I can walk with you.”

“Sure. Thanks.” Nino wasn’t going to question why Adrien wanted to walk with him. He was plenty happy about it. “What’s your major?” he asked as they left the lecture hall.

“I’m not sure yet,” Adrien said. “Physics, maybe? Or I was thinking biochem. I’m just taking a bunch of random classes right now.”

“Well, at least you have a good reason to be in the chem lecture.”

“Yeah. It’s kinda fun.”

“What?” Nino was almost disgusted. “You did not just call chemistry fun.”

“Sure,” Adrien said casually. “I like it.”

“Okay, I’m definitely glad you chose to sit next to me. I’m getting all your notes.”

“I’m happy to share.”

How was Adrien so nice? It was almost unfair. Cute, smart, and unbelievably normal and kind?

Nino knew he was in trouble, and he wasn’t even upset about it.

“Thanks,” he said. “You know, I was really dreading this class before. But maybe I’ll actually pass.”

“I’m sure you will.” Adrien smiled, warm and genuine, and it was clear he meant every word he said. “I have to go that way,” he said, pointing, “but I’ll see you next class.”

“Yeah. See you then.” Nino waved, and he forced himself to keep walking towards his own class, but his mind was not remotely thinking about it.

He was thinking about Adrien.

Adrien, who clearly wanted to talk to him. Adrien the supermodel who Nino was definitely super into. He couldn’t wait to tell his friends about this. He could already hear Alya telling him to slow down, and Marinette encouraging him on.

They had a patrol scheduled for tonight. Nino was looking forward to it.

Baby sung by Gal Costa i love this song so much and i love every single version i've listened to so far, but to me this one is THE ABSOLUTE BEST because the strings and Gal's voice is angelical. and again, old recordings have a specific texture and this one i feel like im in a huge theater as the only person in public listening to them perform. in general is feels very dream like, an absolute fave. and i'm cheating a little bit because i'm always listening to this song not just lately, lmao, but it deserves to be mentioned

His voice was so sweet, so gentle, trying to coax you down from the ledge. You on one building, him on another just parallel. Police car lights flashing up the buildings and reflecting on the both of you. Your friends 50 floors below on the ground. You’d never seen Dynamight so desperate, your heart would break for him if you knew it weren’t because of you. How had this become so complicated?

“Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, come down

Won't you get up off, get up off the roof?

The self is not so weightless, nor whole and unbroken

His threat hung heavy in the air, causing you to falter. You had been smitten with Bakugo since you were little, and then a crush bloomed right before you when you were in the same class at UA. He had hardly expected to see you, since the last time he had seen you was when you were paralyzed by the car accident. It wasn’t immediate friendship, but you’d quickly become close with the rest of the Bakusquad and the two of you had grown closer. You’d started dating before graduation and through being sidekicks at different agencies. When he told you that he and Kirishima were creating an agency and asked you to be part of it, you’d accepted immediately.

During your first official patrol with Dynamight, you made a pact with him that no matter what, you’d always be on each other’s side. You’d since moved in together spending time with each other and with your mutual friends. Life was a hero’s paradise until the accident.

“Soldier on, Achilles, Achilles, come down

Hurt and grieve but don't suffer alone

Engage with the pain as a motive

Today, of all days, see

He was pleading now, his voice shaking. Tears welling in his eyes. It broke your heart, but your guilt was heavier. He was offering you forgiveness, a second chance because everyone makes mistakes. You couldn’t be forgiven though. You didn’t really want to jump, you wanted to call for help, to beg Dynamight to save you. To ask any of the bystanders below to help you. You knew deep down that this emotion wasn’t yours, but the effect of the man behind you. His quirk amplifying and intensifying your guilt and agony over your mistake until you couldn’t bear it anymore. Jumping was the only way to get rid of these effects, the only way to rid yourself of this guilt that was literally drowning you. Even as you were fighting for your life, even as close as Dynamight was, the man was right behind you, whispering in your ear.

“Achilles, Achilles, Achilles, jump now

His voice was smooth in your ear, and you felt your burden intensify. Two days ago, while on patrol by yourself, you’d ended up fighting a villain. There weren’t any other heroes in the area so you were alone until your backup could arrive. Your first priority was to save the bystanders, and you tried, you really tried. The villain was relentless and used the innocents as a shield. It wasn’t until the fight was over that a life had been lost. A young man had had a heart attack during the fight. You hadn’t been able to get him somewhere where someone could help him. He had died before you could finish the fight. Bakugo held you that night as you sobbed for him.

His family had made a statement to the press and magazines were eating up the story. The family wasn’t suing, which you were grateful for, but you still visited them and apologized profusely. The man’s mother was understanding, as was her husband, but you could tell that the man’s brother was angry. Fury was radiating off him, and you took it because you knew you deserved it. What you didn’t expect was to see the brother that night on your way home from the office. All he did was grab you and yell, but looking back on it, that was when he’d put his quirk in use.

The next day your guilt was tenfold what it was yesterday, and it only grew. Your friends, your manager, and Bakugo could tell you were off. They didn’t ask questions though; no-one had gone through what you were feeling. You were all so young. That night you went on patrol with Dynamight and a couple other of your friends. You were on lookout on the very same roof you were standing on now when he had come up behind you. Every word he said enhanced what you were feeling until he saw you glance at the ledge. His smile was cruel as he said what you were thinking. A life for a life, it was only fair.

Now, in the present, Dynamight saw the man and recognized him for who he was. Puzzle pieces started to fall into place, that you weren’t in full control of yourself. He had to wait until he had more backup though, he couldn’t tip off the brother that he knew.

“Achilles, Achilles, just put down the bottle

Don't listen to what you've consumed

It's chaos, confusion and wholly unworthy

Of feeding and it's wholly untrue

You may feel no purpose nor a point for existing

It's all just conjecture and gloom

And there may not be meaning, so find one and seize it

You wanted so bad to believe him. Wanted so bad to be able to reach down and know that you had been forgiven. That it wasn’t your fault. You wanted to rise above it, but you were drowning. Flailing like you never learned how to swim. Was it really going to end like this for you? After everything that had happened in your life? After every obstacle you had overcome, this was it?

You briefly wondered if this was the kind of guilt that the drunk driver had felt when he learned that he had paralyzed a young child. If he had overcome his own guilt to help come up with your cure. You’d have to ask him if you survived. Oh, how you wanted to survive but what you did was unbearable. You’d killed a man. This quirk was so powerful, and you were feeling very weak.

“You want the acclaim, the mother of mothers”

His voice whispered again, smooth as silk.

“It's not worth it, Achilles”

Dynamight’s voice was quieter, like he was getting farther away.

“More poignant than fame or the taste of another”

You shook your head, shame filling you. He was feeding off other emotions now. Amplifying them to be your undoing.

“Don't listen, Achilles”

If only it were that easy, but the ledge was right there, you already had one foot on it.

“But be real and just jump, you dense motherfucker”

You stepped up onto the ledge.

“You're worth more, Achilles”

You were so high up; your knees feel weak.

“You will not be more than a rat in the gutter”

The lights down below were so mesmerizing.

“So much more than a rat”

You could see the outline of your friends down below, fewer now than before.

“Be done with this now and jump off the roof”

You moved one foot forward, ready. It would be fast right? You wouldn’t survive the fall.

“Can you hear me, Achilles?”

Your head snapped up to make eye contact with red eyes. So many emotions floating in them. Sadness, anger, desperation, and fear. You’d never seen him so scared. His fear frightened you, but not enough to shake this. Your foot hanging over a 50-story drop.

“I'm talking to you

You loved him. You loved him so much it hurt. You’d die for him, you’d kill for him, but in this exact moment you wanted to live for him. You wanted to live so that he could propose, so you could get married to the love of your life. You wanted to build a family with him. Tears welled up in your eyes. You wanted to live but you didn’t know how after this. You’d killed a man. You deserved to die, didn’t you? The look on his face told you that this wasn’t the path to take but you were so sure.

Is there a way that you could be forgiven? The poor man’s mother had said so. Your friends had said so. Your agent had said so.

Bakugo Katsuki had told you that when he was holding you that night. He had never lied to you, that was a truth that you could live your whole life knowing. It was a pillar in your life. Maybe you could step down from here and continue living.

You faltered again, this time backwards.

Your eyes still locked with Dynamight, a voice behind you shouted,

Then silence. A hand grabs your arm with a grip that could’ve broken it and yanks you off the ledge. Your heart seizes before you fall into Kirishima’s arms and start sobbing. What happens next is a blur, you’re handed off to familiar arms and they carry you. Sat in the back of an ambulance, Bakugo whispers into your hair,

So as one of the most talented writers on this platform, naturally I come to you for help.

I’ve started writing. I’ve got a few Leon Kennedy wips atm but I’m focusing on one specifically right now. Do you have any advice for a writer starting out? Like how do you build a following? Where do you write your work? Any dos and don’ts or tips and tricks?

BRO OMG THANK YOU I'd be happy to give what advice I can!

I'd say my biggest advice is just have fun! That's super corny but like, it's true! Fall in love with what you're writing, and I think someone else out there will too! It can be a little slow going at first, but just keep writing for the love of it and you'll get there!

My second biggest advice is (and this'll sound bad but bear with me) take from what you love! Don't plagiarize, obviously, but like, if there's a writing style you really like? Read lots of that style! Figure out what makes you enjoy it so much! There's a plot you like? Dissect it and figure out how you can apply it! For me, I love making little playlists that make me think of my story, and I will usually find a way to reference the songs in said story in some way! Inject your work with the things you love and it'll make you love it even more!

For starting a story, I'd say definitely have an outline of what you want to happen, all that jazz, but don't be afraid to let the story take you where it wants to go! Between the Bones was fully supposed to be less than 20 chapters, and OOPS.

I usually write in Google Docs and then I use the grammar/spell check in both that and Microsoft Word! Definitely not foolproof though, so I'd also recommend just going through and having the text to speech read your work back to you! That's been so so helpful for me! Beta readers are always great as well!

As for building a following, I wish I could give better advice for this one lol, I'm still figuring that one out here on tumblr! 😂 Overall though, I think posting regularly is unfortunately the best way I can think of to get your stuff out there, but I know that every writer's speed is different! That said, never feel rushed to update (she said, being a full on hypocrite and putting pressure on herself to update). People will wait for the stories they love! I love when I see a fic that makes me go "Ay yo, I never thought of that before, that's so cool" - so I think that finding a niche (for lack of a better term) can also help grow your following!

But again, all that to say, just write what you love dude! Let it get to the point of obsession! Long as it's making you happy, that's what matters! And PLEASE tag me in the stories you write, I'd love to read them!

So sorry to write a mini essay at you, I hope it was helpful, even if in a small way! And once again THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for enjoying my writing! It makes me very happy, and even more so to see it making other people happy too!

Tell us more about Gene and Alexis! Gush to your heart's content!

Pom!! You're too sweet, really, letting me gush like this 🥺. Now that you asked me this, that reminded me that I have the next few panels of my comic done, and should be posting them either tonight or tomorrow! :D

I've already posted a bunch about it, but yes, I took on the feat of making a (sort of) long-form Bob's Burgers comic immediately after I finished my first shorter one. That was definitely inspired by @bluebirbbs and their lovely comic, which everyone should go read if they haven't already because it's fantastic.

I mentioned the comic because it's all about Gene and Alexis. Alexis is my OC who's around Gene's age. They moved to Seymour's Bay and started going to Wagstaff around the time the My Butt Has A Fever short happened and were incredibly nervous about meeting new people and having to adjust to living in a new, seaside town. They're kind of insecure and immediately thought people would find them awkward and not like them. Then, they saw Tina, Gene, and Louise performing that song, and all of their worries melted away. They somehow immediately realized that Gene was the one who wrote the song and was blown away. I headcanon that they couldn't stop gushing about it on the drive home with their parents and even beyond that.

Their parents are quite nice and have done a decent job raising Alexis, but they aren't exactly supportive of people in the LGBTQ+ community, which Alexis is definitely a part of. Alexis figured out around a year or so before the events of the comic that they're Nonbinary (and go by They/He pronouns), and also Androsexual. However, they generally just call themselves Gay because that's easier for people to understand. But, around their parents, they (sort of) pretend to be completely Cishet for fear of judgment or worse. Oh, and they were also born without a right foot (which they have a super realistic prosthetic for) and they have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. They generally only use a crutch for it, and sometimes, not even that. There are a few occasions when they have to use a wheelchair, but they hate using it because they like being more independent. They later confide this all to Gene, who actually thinks it's super cool, which is something they've never had anyone say about their disabilities before. I suppose this sort of parallels my Linda is deaf AU by having a person with a disability's partner be super sweet and supportive.

Anyway, Alexis is so captivated and moved by Gene's performance that they very quickly fall in love with Gene. They freak out for a bit but don't say anything, because they don't know who to ask for advice. Then they decide that the best course of action is to get their feelings for Gene outward anonymously. This poor soul mistakenly thought that by sending sweet anonymous notes to Gene their feelings would somehow disappear. Of course, that doesn't happen.

But, fortunately for them, Gene eventually begins gaining feelings for Alexis too. This is because once they start hanging out and becoming friends, Gene discovers that they have a lot in common, such as loving the same movies, foods, and fashion. Thrifting and making clothes is actually one of Alexis' hobbies, and Gene adores it. He can't get enough of seeing Alexis' clothes that they made themselves. Then they begin talking about how stupid they think masculine gender roles are, and Gene begins confiding in Alexis on how sometimes he wonders if he's being a boy wrong because he usually doesn't enjoy traditionally masculine things.

The two continue bonding and eventually go on a small ice cream date, a la Tina and Jimmy Jr.'s date to Fro-Yo Mama in What A (April) Fool Believes. I didn't realize the parallel at first when I decided this would happen, but now I'm completely obsessed with it.

I'm not sure yet, but it might be on this little ice cream date that these two finally confess their feelings for each other and start dating officially. However, Alexis is kind of terrified of dating Gene, just because of how their parents would react. So, they keep it a secret from their parents. Gene doesn't have to worry, though, because Bob and Linda are nothing except enthusiastic about it.

Surprisingly, Bob is actually super invested in their relationship, and gets kind of emotional, knowing that his little boy is growing up and falling in love 🥲 And is like "Soooooo, who is Alexis? 👀😏" just like when Gene started dating Courtney, and he was like "Soooooo, who is Courtney? 👀😏"

Oh yes, and this entire comic is supposed to take place during Valentine's Day, too, and Tina has a little thing throughout where she's really hoping for a Valentine from Jimmy Jr. I kind of want to resolve that later by having him give her something other than a Valentine, like a goofy little dance, as per Zeke's suggestion, which I thought would be pretty cute and would feed @drawthethingdoppelganger's Tinimmy loving soul accordingly 😌

Louise's thing throughout the comic isn't too deep, but I kind of like it too. She's just angry that Mr. Frond gave the three of them detention for their song at the talent show and wants to lace his coffee to get out of it, pffffft. She isn't thinking that much about Valentine's Day and is convinced that Rudy is just going to ignore her again in favor of Chloe Barbash, so she's kind of given up on the holiday. But then he maybe gives her a sweet note or something 🥺 She pretends not to care, but she really, really does. That gesture means a lot to her.

I actually haven't thought about a Boblin subplot that could happen, because I'm not sure if they'll be too prominent in the comic? But I'm sure they'll be adorable as always for Valentine's Day. I already had them mention that Bob's taking Linda out for a fancy dinner, so I might have them talk about how much fun they had, like the cute lil' ancient married muppets they are.

But I'm getting sidetracked from Gene and Alexis. Anyway, they fall in love with each other and slowly become the most wholesome couple in the universe, second to Bob and Linda. They do all the cliché couple things like hold hands, give each other lil' cheek/forehead kisses, and share milkshakes. Gene definitely becomes one of those stereotypical straight guys who are always like: My wife 🥰 except he's always like: My partner 🥰 and takes every moment possible to gush about Alexis. And vice versa.

@dianadeadwing also made a glorious essay about why she thinks Gene and Peter Pescadero would work so well, and I think all the points she brought up apply to Gene and Alexis--two people who seem really different but have the same values at their core. Gene is loud and energetic just like Linda on the outside, but is really sweet and insecure on the inside, caring so much about the things he's passionate about, like music and his family. He actually gets offended when people try to fight battles for him because he really wants to be seen as more capable, as seen in Drumforgiven.

Alexis seems pretty quiet and unassuming on the outside, because of how awkward and shy they can be at first, especially when moving to a new town, but when one gets to know them, they get really passionate about the things they love too, like fashion and glass blowing (yes, they like glass blowing, which is such a random hobby, but it somehow seems really fitting). They and Gene really bond over their love of obscure movies, fashion, and not being traditionally masculine. And just like Gene, they're insecure on the inside and want to be seen as more capable, not wanting other people to fight battles for them. They also have a secret sarcastic streak a mile wide, and their silver tongue reminds Gene of Louise a ton. They don't exactly have a penchant for getting into trouble, but definitely for getting into mischief on occasion. They also definitely have a secret hopeless romantic side, like Tina, but really try to hide it because they're afraid of being judged for it. Gene doesn't judge them, though, of course.

But really, this moment is what truly started it all for Alexis falling for Gene:

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

I think it's gotta be take my name. That fic has a pretty good mix of all of my usual Trademarks™ and plus, I think it's a lot of fun (even if it's a tad angsty). (although, I gave it a quick read just now and it definitely needs an edit)

4. What detail in [insert fic] are you really proud of?

to a nightingale: Someone once commented on that fic saying that it feels like a sacrifice and I think that's the part I love the most about that story. There's a sense of their love being intoxicating and despite Dong Sik trying his hardest not to succumb to it, he can't "quit" Joo Won. It's desperate and messy but beautiful, and I'm proud that these elements came across. Plus, the fire imagery is pretty strong in this one and I like that Dong Sik experiences Joo Won's love as something that is burning him but with it, he will be cleansed. I also really like this part:

No one else would have forgiven him after every unkind word, every grief-riddled insult, every fuck-up and tear-soaked nightmare. No one else would see beauty as he laid himself naked before them - scars, history, memories, mistakes - and still think him worthy.

take my name: I'm proud of this fic because it offers a slightly different look at what jwds's post-canon relationship could look like. I know the idea of them not getting together right away is kind of commonplace nowadays, but when I wrote it, I received quite a few comments from people saying that they hadn't considered this direction for their relationship. That was pretty cool!!! I think it's my favourite post-canon fic I've written- I really like how much love they have for one another but they still struggle with it. I also like the weight of a decade hanging over them throughout the fic. I adore the jealousy and how Joo Won has been not-so-quietly suffering as Dong Sik has dated more than a handful of people (that are cheap versions of Joo Won). (and i really love how messy they are)

30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?

Errrr, I would say writing in general is out of my comfort zone 😂 But the fic that I found particularly challenging in this regard is courage to make love known. I haven't written about a pairing's developing relationship from an outsider's pov before (nor have I since, really). It was an interesting way of approaching the story and I'm really glad I did it. I don't know if it affected my approach to writing but it definitely made me think about how to convey a character's emotions through their actions.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?

Either Drone Bomb Me (the characterisation and dialogue are super fun) or with you and without you (I think this poem is one of the most impactful and gut-wrenching things I've written)

Since your time in Got Talent Sweden and your ex-band FO&O musically speaking.... What have those experiences left you and what memories do you have of your band mates? Do you still keep in touch?

Got Talent was my school and it was how I got into this world, before that I hadn't been on stage or sung in front of an audience, so for me that was the beginning, it was super cool, and after that I kept going, opportunities came to me, I took them and from there I didn't stop. With my ex-bandmates we still keep in touch, we even have dinner together from time to time, when we have time. Being in the band was a constant learning experience, and now I'm thankful to have been there because of everything I learned.

It's been a few months since the release of your single "Yo dije Ouff". What are your plans for your next work? Do you have a date? Will you be releasing an album or an EP in the next few months?

Now I'm going to release song by song, until the album arrives, and I will release a new single this month, I still don't know exactly when it will be released, but for sure in the next few days, I hope people are ready because I can't stand it anymore (laughs).

What has it been like to break into the world of acting? What challenges have you faced? How did you get the role of Simon?

This role has been my first time as an actor for me it was something super different and I learned a lot doing it, when we were on set filming, I was learning from all my mates... it was crazy.

How do you feel about filming the second season of Young Royals? What has the success of the first instalment meant to you and what do you hope for the future in your character of Simon? Anything you can tell us in advance?

I haven't actually read the script for the second season yet, so I don't know that much about the story... (laughs) I really don't know anything, but I think this second season is not going to be as stressful for me, I'm going to be able to get more into the role I'm given and try to do it a thousand times better, after the experience of the first season, I'm happy and like crazy wanting to do this show. This second season will find me more experienced in acting.

Have you been surprised by the success of Young Royals?

Yes, yes, it really is crazy, and I didn't expect it to reach so many countries that now love the series and give it so much support, it's crazy and I'm very happy. The series really deserves it because it is a very important issue that we are trying to talk about. And I want to thank all our fans, without them it wouldn't be possible.

Recently the Head of Government of the Netherlands clarified that, if Princess Amalia of Orange wanted to marry a woman, it would not be an obstacle for the crown. What is your opinion on this and do you think the same should happen not only in Sweden but in the monarchies of the world? Do you think that Young Royals has helped to make this visible?

The truth is that with all this I don't have time to read the news, but what I feel now that you say that: It doesn't matter if you belong to the monarchy or not, you have to live your life the way you want to live it, whether you belong to one family or another, we all have the same rights, it's a human thing. It doesn't matter who you fall in love with, that doesn't have to be a problem, for me we should all be happy.

Your character and Edvin's character has been one of the most loved and has helped people around the world in many ways... What does it mean to you to be part of other people's lives without even knowing them? How has it influenced your day to day life?

This is what is strange to me, I will never be able to understand this, I don't know how to explain it, but for me it is something so big that I can't understand it.... But I can tell you that I am super happy that we are in these people's lives and that we can help them, it's crazy, but I love it and I am happy that people have found something that really speaks for them.

What has it been like working with Edvin? We've seen that you share a very close friendship, did you enjoy your time together? An anecdote you can share?

We are real friends, I love working with Edvin and being with him, he is a super nice person. It's been such a crazy experience... really, we've had a great time on and off set. Edvin has taught me a lot. He started acting when he was five years old and I've felt more confident with him because he's helped me and I've felt like I had a brother to learn from by my side. We have many anecdotes, parties and moments when we have been together. Once we were filming outside, and a spider fell on his face and that was the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life (laughs) I really died laughing, he's scared to death of spiders (laughs), this is recorded, the camera was in front of his face (laughs).

To finish... a message you want to give to your fans and something you want to tell us?

I am very happy and grateful for everything you all do for me, for Edvin, for the series.... I really love you all very much, and I hope to be able to see and hug you all one day. Thank you very much indeed!
