Headcanon that the boys watch Cinderella while high one time (maybe Steve had the tape already since he was a kid, or he’d gotten it from an elderly aunt who didn’t understand that he was too old for it, or maybe they’d rented another movie and gotten the wrong tape in the box, and decided to watch it anyway), and for DAYS afterwards, Billy’s got Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo stuck in his head.

He tries listening to his own music to drown it out, he tries to listen to Steve’s music, he puts on the local radio station for the goddamn jingles, and yet every time he’s brushing his teeth or reading a book or driving in his car, he starts humming fucking Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo.

Eventually he gets desperate and begs for Steve to just punch his lights out, because “maybe it’ll cause a bit of amnesia and I’ll forget about it!”, but Steve just laughs at him and refuses.

(For years and years afterwards, if Steve wants to be a little shit, he’ll start humming Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo where Billy can hear him. Billy yells or throws things at him or one time tackles him to the floor to shut him up but it’s always too late - he’ll be stuck with that song in his head for days again, and he knows it. Steve just laughs, every time.)

They both knew this day would come, when her mortality would collide with his immortality. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to share his gift with her, it was simply beyond his powers and abilities to do so. He held her hand, watching the peaceful smile fall from her lips for the last time. If his heart could have stopped, it would have.

“Oh honey, would you look at that?” a voice said from behind him. He turned and saw her spectral form standing there, a few decades younger than the body she’d just left and with a pleased grin on her face. “Looks like you're stuck with me after all.”

This...this is the fourth time she’s had this particular dream, now. Visions of a world where her own shortcomings and flaws had led to one too many failures and mistakes, at the expense of her friends...her only friends. So much so to the point that Kessoku Band had become nothing more than a laughing stock for people to mock. As a result, due to a lack of support, motivation and drive...the band would soon split apart, as she’s forced to just sit on the sidelines and watch as everything that everyone worked for crumbled to dust...

Ah...she’s crying, again. Why? Why does she have to be such a useless pessimist. Someone who always ponders the idea that everything will always result in the worst case scenario? ...It’s time like these that she wishes she could rid herself of her own useless thoughts and become someone who could better contribute to the world around her. Maybe if she were a symbol of positivity and confidence like Kita, she wouldn’t be haunted by her own lingering doubts that always threatened to strike her down at her every waking moment.

...Rubbing at her eyes with the sleeves of her pajamas, she’d try her best to calm herself down. Just...just forget about those nightmares. You have friends, you have fans, you have family, you have everything you need. In the perspective of literally anyone else, she was thriving with support, as her popularity only continued to grow with each passing day. There was no need to stress about ANYTHING.

Still, she had a feeling that these nightmares and fears weren’t going to just magically disappear anytime soon.
