This picture was taken when he was seven weeks old. Those first few weeks were some of the most challenging moments of my life. I had to take care of him primarily by myself due to the pandemic. It seemed like I never slept. I was also fighting off depression and trying to keep some sanity in all that was going on. But this day was a good day in all of my chaos. I felt at peace. And I hadn’t felt peace in months. I am thankful my mind is in a much better place than it had been for over a year. Pain and negative thoughts don’t consume me. Those feelings use to crush me, and no matter how many times I tried to pull myself out of it, I always found myself right back. Sometimes it seems like you are never going to make it out of the darkness. I literally would take it one day, one hour, and even one moment at a time. I found it quite amazing how much in love Jaxxon is with Jayden (my eldest) Of course, they spend time together, but Jaxx is attached to him as if Jayden has been taking care of him since he was born. 😆 He crawls to his room every chance he gets. My bestie and I were chatting about last year’s relationship issues, and mid convo, I yelled out, “ omg, were social distancing in our relationship.” We both fell out laughing. Not that it was funny, but sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying. I feel like this is something a lot of us has experienced at some point in our life. To be with someone, but slowly drifting apart every day. And it’s definitely no small feat to get through. Every relationship is different and has its set of hurdles to overcome. It’s just deciding how we want to proceed with handling those hurdles. But before making any decision, I think it is important for both of you to ask yourselves, are you ready to call it quits? Sit with it, meditate, and pray on it before answering. While I don’t have any solid specific relationship advice, I do know that you should enlist someone who is knowledgeable and can provide guidance to help you both get back on track. I am currently working through my situation, so I will have to provide an update later.
