Ash was part of a secret subspecies of humans (Homo sapiens dimutus) which could shapeshift, which she used to grow huge black wings or turn into a black leopard or look like a monster to scare enemies, anything as long as her brain stayed the same size or got denser to fit smaller. When she shapeshifted she would release green and blue fire from the power of the transformation (cause she has lots of copper in her blood that burns green. To protect against cancer, you see. Shapeshifting has lots of cancer risk so copper is sooo important)

She became one by genetic engineering at 15 so the dimutus could get more soldiers and spies for a war with the demon-like psyuedos (child soldier lol). She could come back to life because she had a failsafe that would activate where she would shapeshift away the wound and her brain would jolt back online. The only way to kill a dimutus was to kill the brain.

Like other dimutus, she could also dimension hop, so she'd travel the multiverse, from tv show to tv show or to the universe with dragons or with cool landscapes. She was good with a sword and something called a bladed quarterstaff, which is basically one of those two sided lightsabers but a blade. She was mentored by one of the most powerful dimutus of the war and is super powerful too compared to other dimutus.

His hands are in his lap, unmoving. She wishes she had the strength to reach out with one of hers, but the tremors in her body run too deep, rattling bones and tendons and flesh.

They stare at each other for a long moment. Her eyes burn and her throat is closing on itself and she has to bite her lips to keep a building sob inside. But his hand is soft and warm on hers, large palm wrapping around her smaller one, fingers intertwining. She has never felt more loved than right now, witnessing the tender flicker of his eyes, the loving quirk of his mouth, the gentle caress of his skin against hers.

If she falls apart right now, she knows he will be there to catch her. The urge is almost too strong to resist as exhaustion washes over her, heavy on her shoulders, cold in her mind. It's almost impossible to repress the tears pooling in her eyes or the ache growing in her chest with each swallowed sobs.

But if she were to fall apart, if she were to lean on him, weak and vulnerable, he would steel himself, would stand upright for them both until her added weight would send them toppling to the ground. There would be no one to catch him – she's too weak to stand by herself, definitely too weak to hold him up.

She needs to be strong for them both.

She needs to be strong for him.

He's still looking at her, but there's something fierce about his expression now. His hands leave her hand to settle on each side of her face, the tips of his fingers burying themselves in her hair.

''You don't deserve this,'' he murmurs, tugging her closer until their faces are barely inches apart. ''You don't deserve to-'' His voice chokes around the word he refuses to pronounce, his face scrunching up, agonized. ''This is unfair. You shouldn't have to be stuck here, you shouldn't have to bear the pain in your head, you shouldn't have to leave everything behind-''

He stops there, drawing in a shaky breath, his eyes pleading with her for something she cannot give him. His forehead thuds gently against hers as Mulder closes his eyes. She can almost feel the crackling electricity of his mind, if she believed in this sort of thing.

Unable to resist the tentation, she buries one hand in the hair standing on the back of his head, scratching his scalp until he relaxes. The strands are soft underneath her fingers. She wishes she had done this before. She wishes she could do this forever.

She wishes for so much.

''I prayed.'' His words hit her lips, scorching. His eyes are still closed. He's unable to see the sudden rush of love invading her whole body.

''You don't believe,'' she says. It sounds like a question.

He shakes his head slightly. ''I don't. But I thought... If there's a chance, even a slim one, that a God might exist out there...'' His sharp intake of breath isn't enough to hide the muffled sob escaping him. ''I couldn't pass on that chance. Maybe you're right, maybe He's real. And maybe, for once, He can grant me a miracle. The universe, God, anyone.'' His eyes open again, filled with such despair that she has to close her own eyes, lest she succombs to the need gnawing at her guts, to kiss away his pain. ''I can't lose you.''

His shoulders shake with racking sobs. As a garbled whine leaves him, she pulls him closer, urging him to bury his face in the crook of her neck. Murmuring in his ear, she combs back his hair and rubs his back, trying to muffle her own tears. There's nothing she can do to soothe the agony in his soul, nor is there anything he can do to tame the wild terror buckling in her chest.

But holding him in her arms, feeling the warmth of his body, his shaky breaths on her skin, she can almost pretend she's not half-dead already.

They end up tangled on the hospital bed, she completely wrapped up around him, her front to his back as he cradles one of her arm close to his chest. She presses her face to his hair, peppers his neck with kisses, unrestrained in her affection, not when he clearly needs it just as much as her.

Mulder falls alseep first, slacking in her embrace, inaudible wheezes turning to deep breaths. She doesn't follow him, content to stay in the timeless and peaceful bubble surrounding them. Tomorrow will be just as hard as today had been, but today is still here, with Mulder and maybe it's enough for now.

i adore lydia, she’s probably my favorite of the girls on the show. lydia is kinda short, but wears heels a lot, and for some reason i just think she’d really like having a girlfriend who was shorter than her. everyone looks down at her, i think she’d enjoy finally being able to look down at someone else, and have you smile up at her. i think at first, she might find your optimism and naivety to be a little overwhelming, she’s kind of a pessimistic person, but i think she’d grow to love that about you. you’d be her little bit of hope, a break from the chaos. something about you would remind her of her childhood, you’d be nostalgic for the little pieces of her life that she cherishes. if there’s one thing lydia is, it’s unashamed. she’d proudly hold your hand through the halls, and shut down any shit anybody gave you or her. she’s not someone you’d want to get on the bad side of. she’d love spoiling you, and just getting to do girly shit with you. i don’t think she has many people that she can take to the mall and go shopping with, or paint her nails with, just little things that make her feel pretty and confident. i think that kind of stuff is important to her, those little moments with you would she’d value highly. you’d be a breath of fresh air for her.

Ceres in Capricorn ♑️

On February 27, 2024 Ceres made a transit from the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius into the half-goat , half-fish, Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn ♑️!

Capricorn being an earth sign and Ceres archetype is of the great mother, ultimate nuturer and also the goddess of agriculture and harvest! The Roman goddess Ceres is also known as the Greek goddess Demeter & she is Persephone's mother. Their story is quite archaic, enchanting, haunting, traumatic, poetic, loving, fierce, & sad; but their story can grasp the everyday person in one of its many versions whether through a short story, a book, or even a movie.

There are truly a number of different versions to their story. No matter which one is told most people(particularly women or the males that doesn't mind sharing their feminine side) can relate to. These different versions have been changed up over the thousands of years to further fit modern day times and way for you to connect and resonate on deeper level with them. I did write up a short blog on Persephone a month or so ago with information including Ceres(Demeter)& was planning a follow up for a full story on the myths of Ceres and all her astrological rulerships.

When I suddenly realized today that she had moved into Capricorn 3 days ago and is already sitting in Cap at 7°57'. So I'll post the link in the comments for the Persephone article and if your interested in reading it you have access to it without scrolling through my entire page! I will finish up the goddess of agriculture's mythology piece this month, so this article is just going to focus on her in Capricorn and what she means for the collective and even for your personal natal chart.

Ceres is associated with 3 zodiac signs; Virgo, Cancer, and the Taurus-Scorpio polarity axis. I do love the connection to the ♉️♏️ polarity, but I equate Persephone to be connected more to that being the queen of the underworld and goddess of spring. But don't get me wrong, Ceres also most definitely has a strong connection to those 2 signs as well, being so connected to our mother earth and the Eleusinian Mysteries(or Rites), being connected to the Hierophant tarot card, and her adversary being Pluto who made her turn dark when her daughter had been stolen from her.

The sign of Cancer being the ruler of the Moon and one of Cancer's archetype is the great mother and she deeply loved and nurtured her daughter Persephone so you can clearly see a connection to Cancer ♋️. As for Virgo and the symbol of the triple moon goddess you have the virgin, which is Persephone, Ceres as the mother (maiden), and Hecate the crone. So you can see how she absolutely fits all three of these rulerships. Knowing the archetypes of the planets and signs is something that absolutely needs to be learned especially if you want to fully understand astrology. I love you all. I’m so happy we met during our freshmen year of high school. We have grown together so much and I’m so happy to see everyone thriving in their own way. Can you believe it??
