Controversial Prog Rock Opinion

The 80's were hands down Rush's best decade musically. ALL of it, not just "up until Moving Pictures and/or Signals"

#70's rush is great of course! #but 80's rush is just more unique imo #they started off the decade w/ their most ambitious classical prog approach to their songs #only to gradually shift into a very distinct blend of progressive new wave #that and neil's lyrics evolved into great social commentaries that still keep the narrative feel of their 70's sci fi/fantasy songs #I always find it annoying when fans claim they 'weren't prog anymore' after (or even starting w/) signals just because of the synths #rush band #prog rock #my two cents

So I heard that the 90’s show writers brought back Jackie x Kelso cuz they thought that’s what the fans wanted. What a load of 😭😂Bro only like 10% wanted them back let’s be fr. And notice how those comments don’t really talk about liking them together more like seeing Ashton and Mila act together. It’s really the writers projecting their desires when most of the fan base didn’t care for that pairing. What a bunch of dopes

I don’t know how to feel these days when a TV show or film tries to replicate an era in time such as “That 90’s show”, though I was a big fan as a preteen growing up of “That 70’s Show”. Is it just experiencing more in life? Does having more awareness, and self awareness makes you feel bitter towards glamorizing an era pretending that casual racism, sexism and rampant homophobia didn’t exist on an hourly basis for these teens hanging out? I don’t know if I like it. Am I getting old? Maybe the past as we know it was always just a fantasy. I remember having to hide so many emotions in the 90’s for fear of being picked on on any front. Do kids even know what bullying was really like today? Will they ever know? Is everything we’re experiencing now happening in some nonbinary coders fantasy in the future and we’re being written as some fucked up screenplay? Teleplay? Stage play? These are my thoughts on Friday January 20th 2023. Rest In Peace David Crosby. And let’s keep moving.
