Ground Zero Bible - 9/11 Artifact

Paper from a Bible, fused to a piece of steel, was found in the debris shortly after 9/11 by a fireman and given to photographer Joel Meyerowitz. In 2010, he gave it to the September 11 Memorial Museum.

The passage of scripture that is fused to the piece of steel is from Jesus’s famous Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapters five through seven. The segment of that sermon that is readable says this:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.’ But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.”

On this day of remembrance for the lives lost, remember to not allow anger and hatred to spread through you. Instead pray for those that hate you and wish harm to you. Walk in peace today with all people so that you may be called sons and daughters of God.

If you could also maaaayybe specify your generation (boomer, gen X, millennial, gen Z, etc…) that would very much appreciated! I have a theory about that and I wanna see if I’m right (according to the results of this Very Official Poll, at least)

For the record I’m gen Z as well as an American and I believe that there were definitely some US government officials who were in on it and/or planned 9/11 and hired terrorists to do the dirty work for them. Because they had to have a reason to justify America going to war in the middle east and getting in on some of those opium fields and oil :D because that’s what lines their pockets— ahem. I mean. Bad terrorists >:(

Oct 7 will never be sept 11 no matter how hard the governments try to convince you, they will never be the same. Both of these attack did not occure in vacume they had their reasons.

9/11 occured because the US was sticking their noses where they didn't belong and the people who died that day were not complicit in it ior benefitting anyway. 9/11 was the result of the US's ambitiouse imperial political agendas in the middle east.

10/7 was a reaction to 75 years of occupation and almost two decades of a cruel blockage in which the people who died that day are complicit in. The people who died died on villages ethnically cleansed for their sake. The people who died died benefitting from and supporting aparthaid they were not innocent people caught in the crossfire of their nation's actions.

9/11 was done with an unfair anti-american sentiment.

10/7 was done against an opressive regime.

The few thing these two had in common is that both israel and the US had more to do with it than they'd like to admit and both of them were used to excuse the genocide of middle eastern people.

The day before 9/11 happened, FEMA had operatives in New York City to help with the aid and clean up for the next day(September 11th). Tom kenney, a FEMA spokesperson, gave an interview to Dan Rather stating that FEMA was deployed to New York on Monday night, September 10th, to be ready to go into action 'the next day'.. on Tuesday morning, September 11th.
