i can't get over how many times the show just cuts to Reese being a photographer like ik it's most likely for Finch's benefit so he can piece together potential conclusions but

The Hero of Legend was always on the move. Here today, gone tomorrow as some folks said. Some days he would be at the castle, enjoying a nice cup of tea with the princess. Others he might be Kakariko Village trading for rupees or stories, or perhaps he would be out in the forest resting after a long fight. Not that the princess knew exactly; all she had ever known about the hero’s whereabouts was what he told her during one of his visits. And oh, how vivid he was in his retelling of stories.

Princess Zelda nearly spit out her tea as the hero told her the Bee Guy’s expression when he had brought in a fly that looked like a bee when all of a sudden the door to the tea room burst open. Zelda was about to tell whoever it was that now wasn’t the time, but she recognized the head of the guard and stood up. Link quickly got to his feet as well, his goofy expression quickly changing into one of seriousness.

“Your Majesty, you must come quick!” the guard said. “There has been a horde of monsters coming in from this . . . strange portal.”

So putting this into consideration, wouldnt the writers make Tophers crush on Joan a LITTLE obvious, or at least make Topher TRY to talk to Joan more than once?? But no, they dont. Instead, the only real relationship Topher has with ANYBODY is Abe, and it REAAALLLLYYY feels like they’re trying to set up a “mf is rlly deep in the closet” gag)
