I feel like when people compare Akechi to Light Yagami, they fundamentally misunderstand his character. Their similarities really end at their designs, and Light is the kind of person Akechi would despise. Light Yagami lives a pretty privileged life at the start of Death Note. He has a stable home, with two parents and a sister who care about him. He's a successful student. There isn't really inherent tragedy to his life. The whole reason he starts using the Death Note is a mix of curiosity and a jaded worldview, and when it works it empowers him, very quickly goes to his head, as he believes he is one who can be a god of a "new world" once the shock of his initial kills wears off. While his first kill was to help someone, that altruism didn't last. He is in charge of his choices, while Ryuk mostly vibes and maybe eggs him on a little. Fundamentally, Light has something Akechi lacks: agency, and a comfortable life he took for granted. Meanwhile, Akechi is someone who lived on the bottom rung of Japanese society. His very existence is shameful there, between his mother being a sex worker, his status as an illegitimate/"throw away" child, and his mother's suicide. Years languishing in a foster system that is notoriously inhumane, in a country where 90% of the adoptions are grown men for inheritance and patriarchal reasons, while very few children in the system find permanent homes. When Akechi awakens his power, he approaches Shido not because he wants to kill people but for a stupid revenge plan cooked up by a traumatized child who's been nudged along by a malevolent god. He wants to build Shido up so that at the height of his power, he can expose him for the monster he really is, while another part of him genuinely wants to be useful to Shido, as Cogkechi later calls out. His feelings are a mess of contradictions, and so it's no surprise that Shido was able to mold him into his assassin at only 15 years old. It's also worth noting that Akechi only approaches Shido with his ability to cause psychotic breakdowns. Shido is the one who teaches and instructs him to do shutdowns. He's still complicit, very sunk cost with his revenge plan, but as I spoke of here, even if he wanted to quit, he couldn't alone. Shido's cleaner and control of the law and ability to effortlessly turn him in would render the Metaverse his only safe haven. I think people look at 11/20 Akechi and Akechi in the early parts of the engine room and assume that's just his "true self," when in reality it's another mask. Royal makes it very clear because in Rank 7, he outright warns Joker of what's to come via a pool metaphor and offers an out (though he's MUCH happier if you don't take it/stick to your principles), and in Rank 8, he goes on that big "I hate you" speech... while Sunset Bridge is playing. Y'know, the song that plays at the end of most confidants to reaffirm bonds. So when he smiles as he shoots what he assumes to be Joker, that doesn't mean he's genuinely happy. More likely, he's an emotional clusterfuck, given he also is disoriented enough to namedrop "Shido-san" over the phone, and in the subsequent meeting with Shido, tells him not to kill the Phantom Thieves and that Morgana is "just a cat." Yes, he says they'll make them fear for the rest of their lives, but remember, he's talking to Shido. The things he says are likely all incredibly calculated to sound appealing to Shido. And when you consider that he planned to utterly destroy Shido's reputation after the election, the "delay" makes even more sense.
Later, Akechi goes on about how the people he induced shutdowns on were deserving of their fates, but I don't think he believes it so much as it's the only way he could convince himself that it was worth it, and given how much society failed him, and given how many of the people he targeted were likely rivals/competitors or rich fucks, I think he'd be less inclined to assume good faith. Kunikazu Okumura was not an innocent little victim, after all. He was one of the people who requested breakdowns and shutdowns the most. I think Akechi enjoyed killing him not because of how it'd hurt Haru, but because of catharsis. Because Okumura is just as monstrous as Shido, so why should he feel remorse? However, I don't believe he feels the same about Wakaba, as when he discusses her with Shido, he mentions how her fate was because she refused to willingly work for him. It's another justification, but I personally think Wakaba's death was the most painful for him because he was effectively making Futaba just like him. That's why I think his reaction to Sae threatening Sojiro's custody was genuine. Anyway, evil grinning Akechi is just another mask, as I said. Keep in mind, this is someone who laments not meeting Joker years ago, someone who Morgana outright points out is lying about his hatred. And that's the thing. Light Yagami, while a really fascinating character, is not someone who had all this childhood suffering or lack of agency. He does not regret his actions in the slightest and goes down due to his own hubris in both the anime and the manga. While you can argue that Ryuk set him up by dropping the Death Note, Light was the one who picked it up and chose to use it. Any nudging from Ryuk didn't coerce Light into doing it because Light seized the opportunity. No, if Light Yagami is like anyone in Persona 5, it's Masayoshi Shido, not Goro Akechi. Both believe they are god/god's chosen, that they are the ones who will reshape the world to their ideals, and to be frank, both use and abuse women to serve their own purposes. Goro Akechi goes down sacrificing himself for the Thieves and pleading with them to stop his father and again in Maruki's reality when he refuses to let Joker accept a gilded prison of a world for his sake when he knows better than anyone what it's like to have no true freedom. If you max his confidant, you see him in the postcredits, leaving his survival entirely possible, and I think it works because at the end of the day, Akechi was meant to be a victim and a foil. Light is a villain protagonist and a cautionary tale. Though its his POV we follow, he isn't someone we're meant to root for, but I definitely don't think enjoying the character is a bad thing at all. He's really interesting! I just think that a lot of the Akechi and Light comparisons are surface level at best.

For The Children That’ll Never Grow (Hope Should Have Left Humanity)
part 1: When The Wolves Come (Family-- Before)
My name is Jason Grace , he reminds himself, and I have been encumbered with an empyrean intention.
This is what Lupa always told him. What the Praetor has always told him. What they all have always told him, and
He is Jason Grace, son of Jupiter, son of Rome. But he is also Jason Grace, child-killer, monster-killer… And he is Jason Grace, self-killer.
Jason Grace is born with glowing gold hair and piercing electric eyes. He is the right size for a newborn, but not the right weight: people holding the child think that he might just float away.
He is, after all, heavenly; half god.
He grows up in a matchbox house with a mother who drinks all day and a sister who parents him while still learning her letters: from a young age, he understands life is tragic– his story will only ever be tragic.
His mother is nice one day, and his sister is suspicious, but he is so, so very young– he knows maybe 40 words now. Thalia, who has consumed parenting books despite struggling with words, knows he is a little behind, but that is to be expected. He isn’t quite fed enough– his mother does not like chubby children.
So they go to the Wolf House and Jason feels at home, the way he only does in his sister’s arms, but Thalia feels oh so cold. They are, after all, only half siblings.
When his mother leaves, Jason cries and cries, wandering into the brambles, thorns cutting his skin. To all the world who knew him, he is now a ghost.
When Mother Wolf finds him, he is hungry and out of tears. When he leaves Mother Wolf, he is five, and more wolf than human or god. He doesn’t quite have all the words he should, or the hand dexterity, but he can hold a sword, lift a shield, and hunt his own food.
When he makes his way to camp, Mother Lupa by his side, they do not know what to do with him. He is five, and speaks still only 40 words. He cannot hold small things, and does not understand human touch. Alexander, then Centurian of the Fifth Cohort, says We will take him . The other cohorts want a son of Jupiter– but not this one. He is too young, too weak, too wild.
We will take him . Alexander is kind. He tells Jason stories, and gets Jason hot chocolates. He takes Jason to his sister, a speech pathologist, where he learns to make sounds.
As he grows, more cohorts want him. He is stronger now, older, less wild. Outside of Alexander’s arms, Jason is meant to be perfect. It’s stifling. So when another boy his age joins the Legion, he rejoices. Octavian, they call him. Legacy, they call him. Powerful, they call him.
He is still only eight years old.
Jason Grace’s life, after all, was never anything but a tragedy. Still he grows– how terrible is that?

Hi this is my first time here, I want ask what would a tfa transmutate be like?
I would like to think that TFA Transmutate's backstory is connected to Sari. After finding out that she's techno organic and actually a cybertronian, she feels lonely. Yes, she has her friends and her dad but she's still different from them. Sari wishes there was some place she'd belong and someone she could relate to. That's when she learns of an experiment her father is working on. A techno organic mass, a new element that he's made but hasn't quite managed to stabilize. Thinking that maybe she can both help her dad and create someone like herself, Sari uses her key on the experiment, thus creating Transmutate.
Because of the unstable nature of the techno organic mass, Transmutate comes out wrong, her appearance deformed and unable to fully grasp certain concepts. But she also has incredible powers, such as shapeshifting, a sonic scream and immense strength.
Sari took Transmutate under her wing, declaring her to be her 'little sister' and that it was her job to teach her everything she needed to know. Desperate to experience something normal and finally have a familial bond beyond her father, Sari promptly brought Transmutate with her to a bunch of different places where they could have do some 'sisterly bonding'. They go to the park, the mall, the zoo and even the beach. Sadly, due to Transmutate's ignorance and powers, they cause minor chaos and destruction wherever they go.
Despite all of the problems, they still end up having fun and bonding with each other. Transmutate follows Sari around and listens to every word she says, slowly adopting her speech pattern and body language. She looks up to Sari and more than anything else, wants to make her proud.
Sadly, despite initially seeming fine, Transmutate's powers slowly starts going out of control. Her frame starts to transform into something more monstrous and she accidentally start to destroy her surroundings which puts people at risk and her frame shows no sign of stopping. Team Prime and professor Sumdac tries to come up with a way to get the situation under control with eventually the possibility of getting rid of Transmutate coming up but Sari won't refuses to let that happen. Taking Transmutate with her, they run away.
Sari is distressed because there's nothing she can do to help Transmutate and she feels guilty for creating her when she knew she mass she was made of was unstable.
Soon the two of them are found by the decepticons that have learned of Transmutate and wants to use her as a weapon. They try to escape but when Sari gets hurt and is knocked unconscious, Transmutate flips out, believing her sister to be dead. Her frame mutates and grows out of control, turning her into a giant monster that starts destroying everything around her.
Team Prime arrives with a device made to deactivate Transmutate and a fight ensues where Transmutate quickly gains the upper hand.
As all hope seems lost, Sari regains consciousness and with the help of Soundwave (who is working with the decepticons) manages to amplify her voice so that Transmutate can hear her. Calming down, Transmutate approaches Sari but is then suddenly struck by the device made to stop her, used by the decepticons since they realized they can't control her.
Transmutate collapses and her frame starts to rapidly break apart. Sari rushes to her and starts to desperately apologize while at the same time begging Ratchet to save her sister but there's nothing he can do for her.
Transmutate, unable to understand what is going on, asks what is happening. Sari realizes that she has to stay strong and tells Transmutate that she's simply going to take a nap, just like what they saw a cat do earlier that day. Happy with this explanation, Transmutate asks if they can visit the beach again when she wakes up, proclaiming that she really liked it. Sari promises to take her there and with a smile on her face, Transmutate passes away. Her body turns into dust, save for a small chunk of metal shaped like a heart.
Later, Sari goes to the beach, holding the metal heart in her hands, keeping her promise to her sister.

yandere Shadowpeach flamenoodles freenoodles sliktea x fem child Naruto reader x yandere kumra.
Like kumra very worried for her cuz everyone hurting her and she fall into the LMK world and Kumra takes over her body for a minute and battle the peaplo but when they find out that this kumra is part of this child ( in this she is forever trapped with Naruto which I don't mind and became a part of her so like Naruto now has ears and tails hehe)
And keeping her safe and is accidentally spilling everything to them how much she has been hurt how much she's being hunted by akusis ( forgive me I don't know how to spell it) and how they would us her cub and take her away and make the reader a monster and won't let that happen. And they exply they won't and in face they are yandere's lol
I actually had a idea for this but with a adult reader. I wonder how they would react to kurama but I guess we’ll soon know lol.
Warning: noob author, dark theme, female child!reader, yandere platonic characters, and others
Characters: shadowpeach, spicynoodles, FreeNoodles, waterspider/silktea, + kurama.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shadowpeach:
When they met you- or well kurama in this figure of speech it was when they visit their son and daughter who decided to stay on the mainland, kurama had taken over your body and was making sure no one came near you and him with the jutsu he had seen you learn over time in the world y’all came from.
Main and macaque had a bit of a flashback with lbd and thought maybe this was the same case but it isn’t….. ok maybe it is but they had seen and heard on how the one who possessed you is trying to protect you more so than himself so they conclude that the two of you know each other and stuff.
Sun was thinking on doing how he had planned with lbd before they figured out that the creature who ‘possessed’ you actually cared about you was trying to keep you safe from any possible threat and danger and even if that wasn’t what was happening macaque would’ve still stopped sun from doing that along with mk and bai he plus the others.
It took many hours just to finally have the creature let you in on control of your body but after they did they soon all notice on how recluse you are towards them and how you flinch at loud noises.
You don’t them until a year of being their adopted child; they were shocked that anyone would seal a demon into a child that was just born and was treated like trash rather than a hero for it by the villagers, the two even made a silent promise to kill all of them and maybe your friends if they interfere with you and them being a family.
Mmm, and bai he both make sure that you are as comfortable as can be; since bai he knows what it’s like to be possessed while mk make sure to train you in your strength and help each other learn the limits of the powers that you and him were given.
You never want to go back as you seem to have forgotten all about your dreams of becoming a hokage cause of the feeling of finally finding a family and the love that you always wanted but couldn’t; you always envied the ones with parents but finally you get to have that feeling plus with siblings! You had always wanted to see what it’s like to have siblings!
Spicynoodles:
You had attacked one of redson’s bulls or well kurama did as he took over your body after you got into this world.
Since this was a different situation with lbd about possession the two didn’t know what to do about it but try and sweet talk the demon into letting you be in control more so from mk than redson as he would just irritate kurama.
When they finally got you to be the one in control they started asking questions redson asks them in the loud tone while mk asks in a normal tone both overwhelming you on the questions.
When they learned what had happened in your village and how you life was with them and how they acted because of how you got kurama sealed inside you for when you were just born. Kurama made sure to tell them what had happened as you seem to not want to relive through.
They soon adopt you and make sure you never have to go through that ever again and would kill for you; and with the influence from their parents they develop a overprotective attitude towards you and seeing as you never had parents before you just think this is normal behavior and with Kurama justifying their actions so you don’t think much of it.
They treat you more like a family did than grandpa hokage ever tried to be as he could’ve done more from what they had said about it.
You also explained how a group of criminals were coming after you and others like you called the akatsuki’s which made them extremely overprotective than before.
(I honestly forgot that you requested the akatsuki part until now whoops 😂😭)
Freenoodles:
You met them when you found his noodle shop and ate a lot of his noodles; I had to say about 30 to 20 at the very least, tang and you made small talk which lead to him finding out shortly after that you’re from a different world and there for homeless so he suggested that you stayed with them and work here at his husband’s shop of course with the permission of pigsy.
You and mk get along great with each other with the fact that the two have the same energy plus with mei the three of you are chaotic together from tang and pigsy point of view.
You very much like Sandy’s personality though his cats reminds you of that mission with tora the always missing cat that seem to always be a tradition to capture it for the genins.
When they found out about kurama it was when lbd first attacked mk before sun wukong join you guys; kurama almost didn’t let you in control once everyone was safely on the mech (i forget if it was a ship or some kind of flying vehicle thing so bear with me on this one 😅)
Though when he took control he made the four tails version 2 cloak form when attacking lbd and seeing as she never seen it that made her interested in your abilities and want to come after you now which worry the two who adopted before this all went down.
The two made sure to go a little more hard on the not mayor out of aggression of his master wanting their daughter which surprisingly scared him but he tried not to let it show or else they might find enjoyment in him being scared.
Waterspider/silktea:
Mo had found you and calmed you down before you could let kurama in control out of fear of being in a new environment.
Sandy and huntsman didn’t know what to think when Mo came back with you behind him but worry was one of them for sure.
Sandy gives you tea and have the cats surround you while huntsman get you comfortable stuff to be comfortable and situated. After that you only really tell them that you’re from another world and therefore homeless which the two made sure that you’re definitely welcomed here as there’s plenty of room.
When you told them about kurama it was when felt threatened because of a nightmare that had happened in the middle of the night. They were so distraught about how the villagers treated you even though you were just a baby and didn’t have anything to do with that decision.
They’re glad that you had a few people that cared about you but both disagreed and agree with ‘this’ hokage decision with how they escalated to how you came to be raised but also glad that you didn’t turn to revenge.
You like to spend time with the cats even though you get the horrible flashback of tora which resulted kurama to laugh at how you couldn’t hold the cat properly when it was scratching you.
Sometime kurama would take control and would talk with Sandy and on some occasions huntsman to gossip about the embarrassing things you did and also what all that happened if you haven’t fully told them. They also find your big appetite on ramen noodles interesting and sometimes order them on some occasions but also not all the time since that could be bad for you even if you ate them all the time and have kurama help you not get sick.
(A/n: hope you like it! I kinda got distracted when on one of them so that’s why they came out late but I still hope y’all like it!! And hope y’all have a wonderful day/evening/night!!)
Series: A Zombie's Serenity
Paring: Zed Necrodopolis x OFC Buchanan!
Word Count: 1.7k
A/N: Might be a few mistakes, and I'm using Brenna D'Amico as how the OC's looks
~~~
"Zed, wait." I catch him outside in the hall.
"I lost the election." He turns to me as I walk up to him.
"I know." I sigh as Eliza comes out. "Look, but the problem is you lost yourself first." She looks at his poster next to us before walking away.
"Look at me." I grab his chin turning his head away from the poster, "You were great in there and you did win over everyone before this little thing messed you up." I hand the necklace over to him so he can give it back to Addison. "I understand you're reason because being a monster isn't easy with all the obstacles you have to over come in life. I get you want to protect us from that but it's not exactly your choice to make. For her or me, if I wanted to see if I really was a werewolf. You know better and you aren't someone to stop people you care about from achieving something important to them."
"I know... And now they will always see me as a monster." He shakes his head.
"Well you're Zed Necrodopolis. A 16 year old zombie from Zombietown which makes you a monster... but you're a very sweet, confident, headstrong monster. Who is also very loyal to his friends and will do anything for them. A monster who always stands up for what's right and is compassionate, but also can be impulsive at times." I rub his arm before letting him be.
I join Eliza as she stares at one of Zed's posters, "I really hope I don't have to do the whole but you are a monster speech to Zed after this." I look at the poster before taking it off the wall.
"Really?" She chuckles as I crumble the poster.
"I hate when he tries to be someone he's not. Like I told him, I fell for a zombie not someone normal." I look at her. "I swear sometimes he doesn't deserve someone like you. The type of person you are... you always put others before you and will tell them how important or special they are, but then tell yourself you're nothing." She makes me smile, "Because I can see and understand others better than myself. I look into a mirror and sometimes it's like I see nothing." I explain tearing up.
"You wanna know what I see and have to say?" She takes my hands into hers, "I see the first human, who all her life only heard and was taught bad things about zombies, but never believed a single word. After meeting a zombie on the first day of school, you snuck out of class to go apologize for your brother being a jerk. The first person to interact and befriended zombies when no one else wanted to because we were still hated by them. Not to mention you went against people telling you to stay away, and not listening you fell for a Zombie. You a Human who developed feelings for a Zombie. And you changed that zombie's life. You got me to like you very quickly and accept you once I saw who you really were. I see you as someone who can make peoples lives better. You bring out the best in others and make people feel welcomed. So next time you look in the mirror and feel like you see nothing... remember everything I told you. You may think you're nothing but you're something to others."
As I give her a hug the alarm goes off confusing us, "Attention! Attention! Monster activity at Seabrook Power." It announces.
"It's the werewolves. We need to find Addison." We rush off to find her and we run into each other.
"We need to rally everyone up to go help." Addison and I say at the same time so Addison goes to get some cheerleaders, I go with Eliza to get some zombies. Once we have everyone we could get we all head to Seabrook Power together. When we get there we see the werewolves were arrested. "No!" We yell at them.
"The world has gone crazy and no one seems to listen. Gotta step in, no more maybes, and stop the demolition." Addison steps up.
"Is it hope or fear? Look in the mirror. Everything we built is coming down." I tell them.
"No more hesitation, it's time we start to realize. With all this separation, silence is still taking sides." Eliza steps out with the zombies.
"So use your voice, make a choice. And tell me, are you standing with the crowd?" I join her then we all join together.
Oh-oh-oh-oh This is a declaration Oh-oh-oh-oh Of a new generation It's now or never, we're in this together We'll fight through the highs and the lows No, we won't break, we're more than flesh and bone
Ayy, ayy, ayy-ayy We say no more bad blood, no more bad blood Ayy, ayy, ayy-ayy No way, they can't stop us, no, they can't stop us Ayy, ayy, ayy-ayy We say no more bad blood, no more bad blood Ayy, ayy, ayy-ayy No way, they can't stop us, no, they can't stop us
"History changes, but we lost the pages we wrote. When you lose direction, can't see the reflection you know. We came from the bottom then became the problem. Now everything's out of control. So hey, are you with me? Let's go." Zed shows up and joins us.
Oh-oh-oh-oh This is a declaration Oh-oh-oh-oh Of a new generation It's now or never, we're in this together We'll fight through the highs and the lows No, we won't break, we're more than flesh and bone
"You gotta stop the demolition, Dad. I know how hard you worked to get this job. But if it's gonna hurt the werewolves, you have to stop it." Zed walks up to his dad.
"You're right. And the girls are right. Shut it down. Stop the detonation. Tomorrow, when it's safe, we'll find what you're looking for. But right now, you can all go home." Zevon agrees making us all cheer.
"You're right..." Zed walks up to me as I walk with Eliza.
"About what?" I stop but she leaves us alone.
"Everything you said in the hall. I know I'm a monster and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't think you'll have to give me any more speeches." He makes me wrap my arms around his neck to hug him so he picks me up.
"Hey, we did it, we stopped the demo." Addison walks up to us with Bree, smiling. Zed put me down and I give him a look and he knew what I meant. "What's wrong?" Addison asks him so he pulls out the necklace.
She gets excited thinking he found it but he tells her the truth. "I stole it when you weren't looking."
She starts to get upset, "I thought I lost it. I questioned myself." She raises her voice while he apologizes.
"I was afraid that if you, even Serenity, turned into a wolf, I'd lose you both." He tells her.
"You don't get to make that choice for me! And you knew he took it and didn't care to tell me!" She shouts at us.
"Hey, when I saw it I was disappointed in him. You're right it's not his choice and he knows that now. But I get his reasoning, sorta... We have no clue how hard it is being a monster and what they had and have to go though. So the thought of just jumping in without a care in the world is dumb if you don't think about what we might have to deal with." I explain to her.
"I finally find where I belong, and you would let him steal that from me? What kind of cousin and friend are you both? I even thought you felt like you belonged." She gets louder.
"If I wanted him to steal that from you, I wouldn't have told him he knows better. I wouldn't have gave him a small speech about how it was wrong of him." I raise my voice now.
"And I never once felt like I was a werewolf and I let Wyatt know multiple times. I let Willa know when I returned the necklace they gave me. I can sorta say I felt like I belonged but not in the same way as you think. Like I saw new friends that make me wanna be me more and more confident. The only reason any of them thought l was a werewolf was because of my hair but to me it has no meaning. I was just born different compared to you and Bucky and I'm fine with that. Unlike you being so obsessed with your hair and wanting it to mean something important. You can't live with the thought that it has no special meaning. You constantly whine about not feeling like you belong, not having your own little pack, when you have so many people who care and love you for who you are. You're little pack/crew you want to be apart of so badly is literally a mixture of humans, zombies and now werewolves."
She just glares at me when I was done, "You're saying a lot about me when you yourself said you don't know who you are... you can't see yourself or understand yourself. You say you're nothing but then say you're okay with not being something... so what is it? Oh, I know... it's the constant reminder in your head telling you, grandma said I'm more special. You hate the fact that you don't know why she said that. So you have no choice but to see yourself as nothing and pretend you're okay with that. At least I know I'm something and I'm trying to find what I am unlike you, cuz." She turns away then puts on the necklace.
It lights up but when she turns back to face everyone she was still the same Addison. "Am I?" She asks Bree.
"You're beautiful, Addie, but the same beautiful that you've always been." She tells her.
"Looks like you gotta keep trying, cuz." I let out a scoff and we all were in a awkward silence.
"Oh, my gosh, boss, boss! We got a problem." One of the workers run to Zevon and says the detonation started running again and wouldn't shut off.
We all run towards Seabrook Power just to see it get destroyed. All the wolves start to cough as their necklaces lose more if it's charge. "It's gonna be okay... We'll figure this out." I walk over to them.
"The building is gone, Serenity." Wyatt tells me.
"But the stone is still standing... your moonstones haven't fully lost all its charge yet. I'm sure if the stone was crushed..." I look at them.
"You could be right." Willa looks at me.

Protective (Fushiguro Megumi x Reader) Part 1
Reader’s technique is called Quickstep, it’s simple, but effective.
Warnings: Implied spoilers for the anime, just before the exchange event.
Pronouns used: They/Them
You’re not known for your emotional outbursts. As someone born to the Jujutsu World, you’ve been taught to keep feelings in check. As a child you were damn-near stone-faced, but these days, you’ve found a happy medium for your own mental health.
Still, those lessons stick. They show through mostly when things are going wrong. You’re cool under pressure, a fast thinker in a fight. Someone who doesn’t usually jump in blind.
So why are you lunging at Aoi Todo in a blind rage?
That explanation may require some context.
You’re a first year at Jujutsu Tech, Tokyo division. Your technique allows you to move at rapid speeds. That’s it. You can flash through space and time at the blink of an eye and be anywhere on a battlefield. Deceptively simple, but nowhere near as powerful as a technique such as cursed speech or the six-eyes. Especially since, beyond your speed, you’re just a normal person, and not an imposing one.
Your family is one of minor standing when compared to the likes of the Zen’in. Meaning, you’re not someone of great importance to the world, on paper, at least.
You are, however, someone who cares deeply about their friends. Only a few weeks ago, you’d lost Itadori Yuji.
You remember mistrusting him so much in the beginning. Sukuna’s vessel, doomed to be executed once all of that terrible curse had been gathered. Ironic, that the first time you’d shed tears in years would be over him, that bright-eyed boy with a smile to light up the world.
It’s been weeks now, you, Nobara and Fushiguro had done your best to focus on the upcoming exchange event, anything to keep your attention away from grief.
Hitting stuff may not be the healthiest coping mechanism, but it was all you had, and training with Maki certainly gave you enough physical pain to replace the mental.
Losing Yuji however, left you with a side-effect you could not have predicted.
It wasn’t yet time for the event, so you hadn’t expected to be interrupted from your training session by the ripple of Megumi’s cursed energy being activated across campus.
Panda, sensing what you do, pauses with his fists still raised. ‘What do you think that’s about?’
You share a look with Maki, eyes widening in horror when the sound of a loud crash reaches your ears.
‘They wouldn’t...’ You mutter, throwing your jacket off and taking off at a run. There’s a bad feeling curling in the pit of your stomach, one you last felt in that damned incomplete domain before a special grade swiped you across a room.
Vaguely, you register your schoolmates running after you, though they don’t seem to be in half the rush you are. Or maybe you’ve just activated your technique without thinking.
In the blink of an eye you’ve phased across campus, your vision clears, all you see is blood. Blood on Aoi Todo’s fist. You follow his arm’s trajectory, the world is slow motion to you, until the second you see that the blood belongs to Fushiguro.
An unimaginable rage fills the pit of your gut, settling every nerve on fire. You’re not built to fight someone like Todo, your logical mind tells you as much. If that monster hits you, you’ll break in more places than Megumi has, but your logical brain isn’t the one in charge, and it shows, as you phase in between the two men, so fast you end up in mid air by the time you swing and clock Todo in the jaw.
The combination of both your momentums sends the mountain of man flying in the opposite direction, leaving your shoes to skid against the dusty ground, soles steaming as they struggle to find enough grip and bring you to a stop.
Todo spits blood, no small amount of it either. It’s not enough to calm your ire, not when you can smell the blood in the air.
Breath see-saws past your lips short bursts, forcing enough oxygen into your lungs to fuel your curse.
‘Well well, you must be the other first year.’ Todo’s grinning at you, wiping the blood off his chin with the back of his fist. ‘You sure are fast, that all you got?’
‘Why the hell did you attack him?’
Your voice sounds alien, even to your own ears. Have you ever been this angry? No, it’s not anger, anger makes your voice crack and your eyes water, you’re not angry. Your words don’t shake, your vision is crystal clear, your voice is low, smooth despite your shuddering.
This is rage, pure, protective rage.
‘Wanted to make sure this year wasn’t gonna be boring!’ Todo spreads his stance, recognising that look in your eyes. ‘Between you and Fushiguro, I might not miss Okkotsu too much.’
Something in you snaps, you lift your chin, letting your hair fall back from your face. You’re not sure what you look like, but Todo’s smile dropped, seeing something in your eyes that was worse taking seriously.
‘You attacked Megumi, because you’re bored?’
Quiet, too quiet, that strange voice is coming from your lips, and this time, you don’t think to wonder, or wait for a response.
You’re in his face when he opens his eyes from a blink. Did you time it, or was he that unlucky?
Your fist flies into his chin, jabbing upward while your leg kicks his out from under him, bringing him down to your level.
He’s gone before you can swing again, picking on your bursts of speed, and laughing again.
‘Your answer makes a hell of a lot more sense now, Fushiguro!’ Todo calls nonsense. ‘They sure are somethin’!’
You pause, casting a cursory glance at your classmate. He’s gaping at you, cradling one arm, blood pouring down his face. Why does he always hit his head? His hair looks so much better without blood laced through it.
Todo doesn’t give you a change to wonder too much, he’s coming at you again, and though he’s got nothing on your speed, his martial arts alone give you a run for your money. If not for the past weeks of training with Panda and Maki, you’d have had your ass handed to you, and you know it.
You’re not sure how long it takes for Inumaki’s voice to ring out, stopping you dead in your tracks while your technique was active.
‘Stop!’
The word locks your muscles, forcing you to slam yourself into the wooden struts beside where Megumi sits in a crater of rubble, eyes tearing up as your nose starts to sting. The second years tussle briefly with Todo, getting him to back off until the exchange event started in earnest, leaving you to lick your wounds.
‘Well, you two sure don’t let stuff get boring around here.’ Panda props his paws on his waist, shaking his head at the two of you.
Stealing a glance at Megumi, you can imagine what you must both look like. You’d stood your ground against Todo, but you’d certainly taken as many as you’d dished out.
‘You okay?’ His voice is raspy and sweet, hiding a wince when he shifts his ribs, no-doubt bruised, if not worse.
‘Looked in a mirror lately?’ It’s your best attempt at a smile with the split in your lip stinging in protest. ‘Pretty sure you’re worse off than me.’
Megumi stares at you for a long moment, long lashes fluttering over cobalt eyes. Has he always been so pretty? No, pretty’s not good enough, he’s... perfect.
‘I’ve never seen you like that before.’ He finally speaks up after staring at your battered face for uncomfortably long. ‘What happened?’
A shrug is all you can manage, you’re not sure if you can put the answer into words that make any sense, not with Inumaki and Panda watching on just as curiously. ‘The guy just annoys me is all.’
‘You’ve never met him.’
‘Salmon.’
You narrow your eyes at the two older students, silently telling them to shut their faces as you try and stand on a bruised ankle.
Megumi sits up suddenly, putting his face back in your line of sight.
Defeated, knowing the deceptively quiet boy has a stubborn streak to put you to shame, you mutter the briefest response quietly, hoping he’s the only one that hears it.
‘I won’t lose you too.’
You catch Fushiguro’s eyes widening and desperately want to escape the situation before he pushes further. Thankfully, Inumaki suddenly stoops to help you up, wrapping your arm around his deceptively strong shoulders and heaving you to your feet, trying to keep your weight off one leg.
‘Tuna Mayo, Bonito Flakes.’
‘Thanks, your timing’s impeccable.’
‘Salmon.’
Understanding the cursed-speech user is surprisingly intuitive, coming naturally to you. You’re nowhere near as good at it as Megumi, who can hold complex conversations with your upperclassman. You can just about manage the simple sentences.
Panda hoists Fushiguro on to his shoulder, both of you carried to med-bay where Shoko can tear into you, or not, it really depends on her energy levels for the day.
Luckily for you, she was short on cigarettes and didn’t feel like driving herself nuts over a few cuts and bruises. She healed Fushiguro first, pulling a curtain around his bed for privacy while you sat in your relative discomfort in a plastic chair beside the door.
When she leaves to fetch something, Megumi pulls the curtain back just enough for you to see his head at the tops of his bare shoulders.
‘I don’t want to lose you either, but... you’re hot when you’re protective.’
You blink, dumbstruck by his words, so much so that before you can even remember how to breathe, he’s pulled the curtain back into place just in time for Shoko to come back into the room.
‘You runnin’ a fever or something?’ Shoko casts you a side glare. ‘Why’re your ears so red?’
You could have sworn you heard Fushiguro snort behind that curtain.
‘You’re the doctor, you tell me?’ Your sarcasm carries no real bite, as you hope it’s enough for her to drop it. Adult Jujutsu sorcerers either forget that they’re adults, or forget that the students aren’t, so your attitude has never gotten you in trouble with anyone here. You’ve learned how far you can take it with which people.
Shoko rolls her eyes, energy levels too low today to think of her usual dry comebacks. ‘Whatever kid. Go wash your damn hands before you get blood all over my chair.’
‘Yes ma’am.’

Tumblr media
It's a spell Reno does not remember falling under. Senses muddled yet clear as as crystalline water. At simple glance, he can see the depth of their actions, the depth of Nero's intentions, but any attempts to decipher the true detail causes ripples to mar the supposed clarity. Course of action and shared words leading to the intimate exchange were forgotten and not for lack of Reno trying. He remember being at work, tuning up his electro mag-rod, glancing at specks of gold at the bottom of a bottle, and then — tasting the inside of Nero's mouth with a tongue hungry for exploration.
Where had that impulse come from? Again, any attempt to bring clarity and memory to conjoined surface was suffocated, snubbed away by claws gripping, pushing, and manipulating. He's either drunk or high . . maybe both. His clothes feel as oppressive as the heat in the deserts surrounding the Gold Saucer. The added friction however, only edged him further towards more. And toward release.
The vision of eerie radiant eyes of a predator and onyx spikes of hair hovering from above break him out of his spell. What's Nero doing here? Was that Nero's taste inside his mouth, causing his blood to rush and boil? It was precisely when caution was thrown to the wind that the viper struck. Words worming into his brain and claws digging into the tender flesh of his neck — sudden adrenaline brought weight back to his tongue, enough to connect the gap between thought and speech.
Tumblr media
(  ❛  Now I know why you're always strapped. Someone needs to gag you. ❜  )
Tumblr media
Reno had duct-tape somewhere and was seriously tempted to use half a roll to inflict pain and to shut Nero up. Imagine all the tape burns. Pretty and sticky, even if the evidence would not linger long. A fist inside the freak's mouth would suffice, too, and Reno had a thing for knocking teeth out and feeling a gag reflex hot behind his knuckles. A contortionist body powered by growing annoyance had hips bucking and hands shooting for the wrists of his opposing company. Positions switched. Thick thighs settled at each side of Nero's legs, and the weight of Reno's upper body landed on his forearm — pressed against Nero's windpipe, perpendicular to body.
Tumblr media
(  ❛  This hollow heart wants to hear you groaning with regret. ❜  )
Tumblr media
Breath held all the confidence typical of the cocksure Turk, heavy and warm inside the curl of Nero's ear. Clarity over the situation felt like waking from strange slumber. Reno would offer, and offer, and offer.
Tumblr media
the face under the mask is deceptively delicate. nero does not look like a monster needing to be caged and bound, but like an angel whose wings have been stripped. it's all too easy to peer into those eyes and find yourself lost. your hand reaching to brush unkempt bangs from those lovely features, drawn in in a way you can't explain.
like gravity.
nero leans in to kiss him. allows the turk to walk him back towards the bed, to make good on the sexual tension that's been building and building between them. reno wants to dominate and nero seems desperate to be claimed as something to someone. it's perfect, perfect, and nero moans as they break the kiss and pulls reno to him.
before long they're nearly naked. nero is pinned under the redhead, looking up at him with hazy red eyes. his hands have been bound above his head and he looks oh so eager for what is to come next. it's only when the turk's belt drops, that the final weapon falls, that the tides turn.
at once, their positions are switched. nero's arms remain tied about his head, but his thighs are where his strength has always been. in a heartbeat he's straddling the turk, using his bound arms to press him down, down, down against the bed. he leans in, and lust in still in his eyes.
but it's not carnal. it's for blood.
"oh, little turk, you gorge yourself on flesh to fill that hollow heart," he sighs, allowing the dark to take the tie that bound him. his pale hands trace the turk's pecs, drifting up before wrapping around his throat. not murderous yet, no that would ruin nero's fun. instead he lets the darkness play, the room around them becoming a kalesiocope of pain and failure. nero grinds down against him, their arousal still evident, but there's little intent to satisfy himself in the action.
"... is this really all you have to offer?" @chthonicsurge         (   is this a love confession, nero ?  )

79. Death Master II: The Lord Of Death
This one has an appropriately awesome title sequence, showing the Death Master himself ("Alonzo" to our friends here) wielding his giant scythe atop a volcano with a storm spiraling above him!
john_brown: this looks like the kind of video game that you have painted on your van
"Can you hear the soundtrack too because its really good, it's like Dragonstorm or one of those fantasy-metal bands.. Oh maybe we'll find out what happened to his parents? Remember they were dead and he couldn't bring them back? Spoilers."
ButterflyDefect: Right, you could only reverse deaths YOU caused, it turned out
The game begins with a scrolling text:
YOUR REIGN AS DEATH MASTER WAS A REIGN OF PEACE.
HAVING SEEN SO MUCH DESPAIR ON YOUR WAY TO THIS THRONE, YOU BROUGHT KINDNESS AND WARMTH THAT NO FALLEN SOUL HAD EVER ENCOUNTERED BEFORE.
YET CRUELTY STILL LIVES, MAKING DIRE PLANS OF ITS OWN...
DueyDecimal: Still "You", huh? We never learn Alonzo's real name?ButterflyDefect: It's kind of nice the DEATH MASTER is actually a good guy for a change aroseahorseboy flings Butterfly into a giant blender hey i'm nice but we gotta have refreshments, y'know
DueyDecimal: BTW, isn't "Death Master 2: The Lord Of Death" sort of like "Sonic The Hedgehog 2: A Hedgehog Named Sonic"?
"Maybe the Master and the Lord are two different Death guys? It's got to be a pretty big jobs, maybe we're just like the regional manager now"
The text crawl fades away, to the same image from the title screen... and then suddenly Alonzo is kicked off his high perch, and someone in black and maroon robes grabs the scythe from his hand as he tumbles. "Now I am The Death Master!" it shouts, in a speech bubble.
"Oh fuckbuckets, that was was quick! HEY, that's, you gotta boss fight me for that, you dweeb!"
pigbarrel: oh. so it's more of a death usurper HNV: I never thought of the semantics, but 'master' does seem to be a higher rank than 'lord', to me
The game proper begins with Alonzo hitting the ground running! You're unarmed to start with, but this game gives you the power to take weapons from armed enemies and power them up by defeating enemies in combos. A tiny spear that Bea appropriates from a squat little goblin soon grows into a massive lance that can puncture things from across the screen!
"HWAAA!! Gimme that mace, I wanna see what that turns into next!" It's a good fit for the first boss she encounters too, a giant skeletal turtle! Eventually she manages to flip it on its back and smash its underside! "I AM BEATRIX, THE DEATH MISTRESS! THE "X" IS FOR THE LITTLE Xs YOU'RE GONNA HAVE ON YOUR EYES FROM.. from being dead."
john_brown: the way your weapons grow reminds me of the sword of omens from thundercats DueyDecimal: ...Am I the only one who sees the Freudian imagery there? ButterflyDefect: War is a long list of big stabbing, thrusting things Syrupentine: hehehehehehehehe.... peenz0rs pigbarrel: this is crime
The second stage is a ruined village, with frightened townspeople being tormented by the animal-headed monsters that seem to work for your enemy now. Surprisingly, halfway through the stage you come to something like a church, and there's a strange moment: the action all freezes, and suddenly there's a wedding happening, and you're the groom!
HNV: ...okay waht
"Oh is this.. Are we.. are we doing a flashback?? Is that what this is?? Uggh this is going to be sad isn't it!"
DueyDecimal: Of COURSE the sequel is actually a prequel!!
As the bride and groom come close to kiss, suddenly the lights go out-- and when they come back on, the groom is standing bloodied in a pile of victims, including both pairs of parents! And there's the old Death Master from the original game, exiting out the back door.
Syrupentine: So he doesn't remember who killed his parents OR girlfriend... OR his girlfriend's parents? Llord_Kuruku: now that's just overkill
"Oh no.. no no NO!! Who woulda done this?! Why?? Why turn this blessed event into Super Grooms n' Ghosts??"
Then it's back to the game, and chopping and hacking through the village and the monsters; the monsters seem more focused now, and will turn away from the villagers to attack Alonzo!
HNV: I think everyone had a flashback, now all the monsters recognize you!
"So my family was murdered by the original DM, everyone blames Al because nobody trust the guy with a mustache, whatever you do, but then who.."
pigbarrel: maybe death masters have families too?? so its like bowser jr. come to avenge his father john_brown: i wonder if it's a translation error that they don't just say 'grim reaper' or if this is supposed to be something different?
Finally comes the stage boss-- and of all places for this boss to attack you, it's right in front of your old house, the very place you came to at the end of the last game! At least it's a cool boss-- a roaring "hangman's tree" that chomps with its gnashing knothole mouth and swings dead bodies on nooses like nunchaku!
"Stupid- Hgarrrgh, none of my weapons are working! This is why I don't go outside, trees are always doing this!!"
Once she knocks down one of the bodies from the tree and claims its axe, however, the tide of battle turns in her favor!
HNV: Axes and trees are natural enemies! ButterflyDefect: I, too, shall die clutching my axe in my hand. After smiting my final foes with my crushing solo
With a few heavy blows, the tree teeters, falls, and becomes a stump! Then there's another flashback... the stump becomes a young sapling, and the Death Master becomes a young Alonzo, shovel in hand, standing over the graves that were revealed at the end of the previous game.
Syrupentine: why do you do this to us again, game :___;
"It's powered by our emotional suffering" Bea tries to press start but of course it's an unskippable cutscene! "And so from that day on.. he decided.. he really hated skeletons. OH and also probably vengeance."
Alonzo slowly skulks away, shovel in hand, head hung... And then a shadowy figure appears from behind the tombstones – the same figure that threw him off the mountain at the beginning!
Syrupentine: ooooh, intrigue

“What did you see?” Cyrus asked. He sounded indifferent. Bored, even.
“Well, I saw that you want to kill me,” N began, voice serious. “And that’s not going to happen. Once I realized it wasn’t evil to be a Pokémon trainer, I only took a couple weeks to beat Unova’s elite four and champion, and that was before I met Reshiram. Even if you could defeat me in battle, I can call on wild Pokémon for help.”
“Anything else?”
N hesitated. Maybe he should just say he’d found Cyrus loyal to Giovanni and end it. But he was so sick of holding his tongue around monsters. He just couldn’t anymore. “Let’s take a walk,” N ordered, getting up. “I know you’re not loyal to Giovanni, so you’re at my mercy. Get up.”
Years ago, Ghetsis had taught N how to walk like a prince. When he was to make a speech or an announcement to his subjects, everything about him had to relay the message that he was so pure he was barely human, and, according to Ghetsis, that was something that came naturally to him. He was fluid as water, graceful as a milotic... until he opened up his annoying motor mouth, at least. And while it was comforting to fall into the familiar movements Ghetsis had trained into him, it still wasn’t enough to put him at ease.
“You know, I used to think that I knew what was better for everyone, too. And that humans were hopelessly flawed and doomed to hurt Pokémon. But the second I was allowed to travel on my own, I began to learn I was wrong, and I changed my goals. I might not know exactly what I want for the future of people and Pokémon, but I know more than I did then. I don’t know why you haven’t learned. No one’s been stopping you. But then, it seems like people like you never listen to reason. I don’t understand it…”
They walked in silence for a few moments. Then, N heard the cry of the espeon, and the next thing he knew he was being tackled to the ground. Before N could respond, Cyrus had grabbed his hand and forced him to touch the espeon. After that, he, Cyrus, and the espeon alike both paralyzed for long minutes as they lay on the cold sand.
So this was what it was like to have his mind read. He couldn’t tell what Cyrus was seeing. He couldn’t feel anything different aside from the paralysis.
The grip of paralysis left the three beings. They separated and got up.
“I thought there was something suspicious about a newcomer demanding to see our minds while Giovanni was away. And now I know. You’re a spy,” Cyrus stated.
N froze.
“I’m not going to tell Giovanni. I don’t want more of his attention than necessary. But it’s also in your best interest to keep what you know about me to yourself. He won’t take the words of a spy over that of his admin.”
“…Understood,” N replied. N started walking back to his reshiram, hand on a pokéball in case Cyrus tried something.
“Why do you find it so difficult to understand my goals?” Cyrus asked as N reached his reshiram. “What you’ve seen today alone should show you how short-sighted and dangerous humans can be. I want to make a world where impulses like that are impossible and no one would treat another the way Ghetsis treated you. How could you think that humanity should remain as it is?”
N hesitated, facing his reshiram. He didn’t feel like defending humanity. But he didn’t have to to know Cyrus was wrong. “I’m not taking a lecture from you. If one thing in your plan goes wrong, what will that make you?”
“A mass-murderer. But that doesn’t matter. The people of my universe are only dead if I accept they are, and I won’t,” he explained, voice tinged with warning. “Aether Foundation President Lusamine was obsessed with the Pokémon I’m studying and with opening portals to other realms, something she achieved. Nihilego must hold the secret to doing so. And I can feel Dialga and Palkia clawing at my chest as we speak. My powers are intact. They will work in my universe.”
“And then?” N asked. “Did you ever ask your Pokémon if it wanted to be emotionless?”
“No. I didn’t ask if he wanted to be vaccinated, either. I-”
“He evolved because he was happy and liked being with you!” N yelled. “And then you killed him. And billions of other happy, thriving Pokémon and people who wanted nothing to do with your self-righteous idiocy! You can’t make up for what you did, because none of what you’re doing is good!”
The two men stood in silence for a moment before Cyrus broke it. “I’m disappointed that we can’t be allies. Be careful of Ghetsis. He’s often said that he enjoyed killing you and would do it again.”
N wasn’t sure whether he expected Cyrus to be enraged or apathetic, but he wasn’t expecting that. “Thanks,” he said. With that, N returned the espeon, mounted his reshiram and was off.
N wished that he could have a long flight to clear his mind, but he didn’t want to attract attention to himself like that. Mere seconds later, the reshiram landed. N returned it and went to his room, which, since he’d snuck his sisters and Abraxus out earlier, was empty.
All N could think of as he tried to sleep was the hurt and traumatized Pokémon that Ghetsis had exposed him to as a child. He’d learned to tend to them before he’d learned his timetables. It was true that Ghetsis had been trying to brainwash him into thinking humans were awful, but… well, their abuse was real. The dozens of people who knew about his upbringing and stayed at Ghetsis’ side were real. And so were the hundreds and hundreds of members of Teams Magma, Aqua, and Galactic, and apparently the entire country that had at best looked the other way on Team Flare.
What is wrong with humanity? N wondered, And if I think I’ve figured it out, how will I know that I have the right answer? How will I know that it’s any less ridiculous than blaming emotion, or poor people, or humans existing at all?
N sat up in bed and let out the espeon. “Hey. I should have asked you this a long time ago. What’s it like reading minds?”
The espeon mrrred in response.
“Oh. Not like much of anything. Because you can already read our minds. Good, I’m glad it’s not uncomfortable.”
The espeon hopped onto his bed, curled up, and purred.
“Sure. You can sleep with me. There’s no need to be concerned, but thank you.”
N shut off the lights, snuggled up with the catlike creature, and fell asleep.
The first order of business the next day was to stay out of sight until most workers- and crucially, Ghetsis- were at their posts. The next was to track down Iris. Thankfully, he proved easy to find, residing his humble office.
“What can I do for you, N?” Iris asked.
“I need a way to get into Ghetsis’ head without him seeing me. Do you have any ideas?”
Iris rubbed his chin. “Hmm… well, I could get a TM for sleep powder or the like. Do you have any Pokémon that use it?”
“Yes. Several.”
“Good, you should use several just in case. I’ll have to go to the next island to get the TM, but I’ll have it for you this evening.”
“Thanks.”
“Of course. Try not to get into any trouble in the meantime.”
N wouldn’t. He’d gotten through all the other admins on day one. What he needed now was support, and someone with which to talk through everything he’d discovered to make a plan. So, he made plans with his sisters and Abraxus, and they met in the room of the hotel they’d decided to stay in. N explained everything to them. The memories of the four villains. Their apparent plans. Their twistedness and how it felt like a reflection of humanity. How facing Ghetsis could endanger his life.
“It’s going to be alright,” Anthea assured him. “It sounds like you have a great plan to make sure he won’t be able to hurt you.”
“I suppose,” N replied.
“Hey, there’s someone I want to visit here before we leave,” Abraxus mentioned, “She’d make a great ally against Team Rainbow Rocket, and it might help you calm down, too. Her name is Lusamine.”
“I’ve heard that name before. She’s the one they stole Ultra Beast information from, right?”
“Exactly. And Aether Foundation is pretty powerful. We could use her organization’s support if the team threatens Unova.”
It sounded like a plan. And so, they flew over to the gleaming white artificial island that was Aether Paradise. Part research facility, part conservation site, all beautiful and polished, it lived up to its name. Abraxus spoke to the front desk secretary, and, with the words, “it’s about Team Rainbow Rocket,” they were swiftly escorted through white hallways that cut through Pokémon-populated indoor forests so that they could meet the woman herself. They caught her while she was in a board meeting, but, once again, the words, “it’s about Team Rainbow Rocket” lured her out.
“What is it?” Lusamine asked the guests good-naturedly, mostly focusing her attention on Abraxus.
Instead of answering, Abraxus nudged N.
“Ms. President. I’ve been acting as a spy within the Team Rainbow Rocket building. They’re looking to invade Unova to capture our legendaries and use them to take over the world. I was hoping that you would be willing to help Unova out in the event that they go through with it.”
“I don’t know how much help we would be, but absolutely I’m in,” Lusamine replied. “It should be in everyone’s interests that the world stays intact.”
“Thank you,” N said.
“He’s also having a little crisis because he’s had to look into the minds of villains. Think he and the girls could unwind here a bit as while talk about something just the two of us?”
“Of course! Go ahead, take a tour, play with the Pokémon, whatever. And N? Just remember that for every villain, there’s a thousand people standing against them. I would know! I went villainous for a while, and it even turned my own children against me. People like goodness. It’s in our nature.”
“…Thanks. I’ll think about that.”
With that, N and his sisters left, the two older adults staying quiet until they were out of earshot.
Having known him for long enough to know that he’d want some privacy, Anthea and Cordonia left N to wander through the wooded areas of Aether paradise. N supposed that what Lusamine had said was right. After all, their universe must have had to defeated a thousand villains just to be able to still exist. And sounded as though versions of each villain that had won were few and far between. For every one that had won were many that had been thwarted by good people, just like the kind trainer that had taught N that Pokémon battling was okay.
N got turned around while in the wooded area and ended up close to where he had been, and he heard Abraxus’ voice.
“You think raising normal kids is hard? Man, try kids who aren’t kids because they never got to be. Anthea and Cordonia… I think they’ll be able to handle themselves. But N? I love N. And he’s smarter than me when it comes to math, language, and definitely Pokémon, but he has the life skills of a fourteen-year-old. The fact is, he won’t have a great life if he’s out on his own too soon.”
“Mmm. That does sound really challenging,” Lusamine replied.
N couldn’t help himself. He sat down under a tree and listened.
“So that’s why I wanted to ask two things of you. Team Plasma can last a few more years off of the tithes from its evil cult days, but after that, we’re going to have to either make it profitable or disband. If we disband and we haven’t come up for anything better for him, would you take N in? He’s an incredible Pokémon caretaker. He’d fit right into Aether Paradise, I’m sure.”
“Of course. He’s defending the world from Team Rainbow Rocket. The least he deserves is a decent life.”
“Yeah. Yeah, he does… the second thing is, if he loses trust in me, could you be his trusted adult? I could call you and let you know when it happens, and then you could call him and let him know you’re a phone call away if he needs advice.” Abraxus sighed. “Sorry, that’s a lot. I just… I don’t know.”
“Why would he lose trust in you? And why are you talking about it like it’s an inevitability?”
“…I suppose it couldn’t hurt to tell you since we both have a past. You see, Team Plasma isn’t the only team I’ve been a part of. I’ve been in and out of evil teams since I was a teenager. At first it was out of desperation, and then it was out of… I don’t know, cynicism, I guess. The world had never done me any good, so I didn’t see any reason to return the favour. I First it was Team Rocket. I left the country once Giovanni disappeared so I could avoid persecution. Then it was Team Magma. I got sick of Maxie’s antics after a while and thought it would be funny to cross over to Team Aqua. After they imploded, I made away with some of their money and joined Team Flare. And then Team Galactic because their goal was so ridiculous I figured they’d never get close to it. And after that… well, I’d had my fill of adventure. I wanted to join a team that wouldn’t disband within a couple years.”
“Team Plasma.”
“Yeah. It had been around for over a decade and its goal seemed even more unachievable than Team Galactic’s. But while I was there, I found out about N. They were raising the poor kid in a test tube environment. I stayed in Team Plasma even knowing that because I didn’t think I could do anything. But after N came back to the castle… I just had to stay and help him however I could.” Abraxus choked back a sob. “It took me so long to earn his trust. I was talking to him through his sisters at first. And once he finds out about my past, that’ll be it. I won’t be able to help him anymore.”
“Are you okay? You know, my children forgave me after I’d done wrong. Maybe N will forgive you, too.”
“I hope so. But after all he’s seen of what these people have done…”
“I’ll look after him if that happens. And for the record, I don’t think you’re evil. I don’t think that anyone is evil. The cause might not always be as clear-cut as a mind-controlling parasite, but it seems to me that evil people either think they’re doing good or they don’t see any choice but what they’re doing.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right. Could you give me a tour of the place? You know, since N might be staying here?”
“Sure thing!” Lusamine chirped.
N waited for a minute to make sure they were gone before he kept walking.
No one wants to be evil… it made sense. All four of the villains he’d seen into had thought they were doing the right thing, and none of them had wanted to be a part of Team Rainbow Rocket. If only there were a way to help them to do good instead of working with Giovanni.
The realization struck N like lightening. Archie had Kyogre and Maxie had Groudon- they could restore balance to eachother’s worlds. N could give Lysandre the code Team Plasma had found to release Pokémon from PCs, allowing Lysandre to restore his world’s ecosystem. And while the universe Cyrus planned was worse than the one he’d destroyed, it would do no one any damage to put him back in his universe as he wanted. All he needed was to figure out interdimensional travel, and he had a lead for that.
N climbed onto the white walkway and sprinted down it, quickly finding Lusamine.
“Lusamine. I heard that you had a Pokémon called nihilego that you used to open interdimensional portals. Is that true?”
Lusamine turned her attention to N. “Well, I did have a nihilego, and I did open interdimensional portals, but nihilego isn’t the one I used for that. It was a Pokémon named cosmog. Why do you ask?”
“I think I know how to defeat Team Rainbow Rocket. I’m going to send the villains back to their own universes. But to do it, I need to know how to open those portals.”
“I’m sorry,” Lusamine said, “but you won’t be able to acquire a cosmog in the next day. It just isn’t possible.”
“Oh,” N said. “Well, all the villains have memories of how Giovanni brought them back. We’ll just have to put our heads together.”
And first, N would have to look into his father. He hoped that Lusamine was right about no one being evil. Hopefully, he would find something to get this Ghetsis to see the light and go back to his own universe. And maybe, just maybe, he’d find something to help him to reason with his own Ghetsis as well.

PART 2: if the world would only knew what you've been holding back
“i think it’ll be hard to… be so close to home and not really be able to see my mom and baby brother. but i’ll go,” he tries to imagine what it would be like going home to eryvine. it’s more dangerous for sure. his grandfather wants him dead, that’s for certain, and walking right into his trap... well, asher really should be more concerned about his own wellbeing. but somehow he trusts he’ll be alright by finn’s side. is that crazy? maybe.
“okay,” finn says, some of his tension bleeding away. asher begins to realize that maybe finn doesn’t want to be alone just as much as asher “i'm not sure that i want to go back yet, but...the monsters from the lotus festival are attacking all across the continent. i don't think my soul will know peace if i fight for podakko knowing i owe my life to people across the continent. i don't want to go back. i don't want to face...everything i failed to do. but i don't want more people to die if i can protect them well this time. i don't know if i can, but...i feel like i have to try. it was once my duty and i don't know if anyone else will fight for them.”
he has a knack for giving speeches. asher can’t help but notice... maybe it’s because finn is usually so quiet, so reserved. he keeps his thoughts to himself, except for the mean ones. but the man who speaks now is the one that asher can easily pledge himself to, one with such a profound sense of duty to his people, a desire to do good, it eats him alive if he does not. it’s something to be admired, to aspire to, and, for the enemy, to fear.
a little thought forms in asher’s mind. he doesn’t put a name to it yet, he doesn’t delve too deep. but it’s a thought, and a very interesting one at that.
“can i be honest?”asher asks even though he would have continued even if finn said no, “i think going back is what you need to do. you need a purpose. and you still love those people… and i think more people will be happy to see you fighting for them again than you think. when i ran away, i talked to a lot of different people for the first time. i think you have the power to give people hope for something… better.”
he sees the skepticism on the other’s face before he even speaks. “i don't know how i could give them hope, especially after everything i've done, but...part of me does feel like i owe it to them to fight for them this time, since i abandoned them as soon as the war ended. i guess in some ways i want to redeem myself even though i'm not sure i can.”
asher’s spoken to many people while running from eryvine, from etlia, across gleerium. from friends of his homeland to enemies who would rather see the whole lands burned and properly subjugated than whatever small mercies they’ve been granted. he’s heard stories of the disappeared son of the late margrave. the grand duke is sitting in prison somewhere, so many of the nobles stripped of their lands and titles. but the lucinier son... he’s the thing of legends. so many claim to know what he’s up to these days, from plotting rebellion, to rotting in the earth. but it’s neither, he’s sitting here in front of asher, lamenting the past, what used to be, and what is no longer. but if he was plotting rebellion... asher keeps thinking. he wonders what’s possible.
“people don’t know that you think you’ve abandoned them. you’re still a hero in so many stories. the more you tell yourself you’re a disappointment and make choices to do disappointing things, the more you’re going to believe it. but you can… you can decide to make choices that their hero in the stories would make. going home to protect them… that’s a good first step.”
he watches finn’s reaction carefully. he wonders if there’s any spark left there, any desire at all to fight again. he doesn’t see it, at least not yet. he just sees confusion, maybe a little fear. finn is looking past asher, out into the water. asher wonders if finn finds the same comfort in the etlian coast as he does. “it's still a lot of pressure.”
“yeah, it is,” finn’s not ready for it, asher decides. but that doesn’t mean he’ll never be. if he could become a face, a symbol... if he could bring hope to the survivors of the war... maybe they’d have another shot. etlia will never die as long as her people still believe in their own sovereignty. “you know, our stories become so much bigger than the ones we think we live.”
finn looks sad. he’s quiet again, too. asher wonders if he’s pushed too hard, if he’s misjudged the man that finn is, or could be. “i used to want that, i think. when i was younger, i thought i would be some valiant hero, beloved by my people...that i could somehow win the war for etlia and drive gleerium out for good. i was stupid, but i guess most kids are. i don't think i want that anymore. i just...want to live. i don't want to be who i am. i want to be someone else. but i guess....i can only run from who i am for so long, and i've just...lied to myself this entire past year. but i still don't know how to face it.”
“you can be whoever you want, finn,” he eases up the pressure, just smiling at him now. it’s easy to; even though asher is dreaming up a rebellion in his mind, he finds himself wanting to root for finnian anyway. he wants to see him in his prime, a confident young knight, a conqueror riding a white horse into battle to save his homeland. perhaps asher’s read too many stories, too many heroes’ journeys where the defeated protagonist picks themselves up by their bootstraps and ultimately triumphs over evil. maybe he’s hoping his stories come to life, but is it so wrong to?  “that’s the best thing about this story… it’s not over yet.”
but finn doesn’t smile. he frowns all the more, seemingly entirely uninspired by asher’s encouraging words. “i don't know. i will always be a lucinier. maybe eventually, people will forget my face. maybe by the time i die i'll have a different name and no one will remember kim finnian von lucinier, or his blunders in the war...yet i can't imagine being happy like that, either. but i won't be happy going back to etlia surrounded by...all of the suffering i feel like i could've prevented, either. i just....don't know if i'll ever be able to be happy. and honestly, i don't think i deserve to be. i guess that's why i drink, and i fight. it helps me to forget for a while, and i can pretend that one day i'll...finally be able to fucking breathe again. i know you'll probably tell me one day i'll be able to, and i don't know. maybe that's right, but i think...i'll never be able to forget everything that happened. i don't know how i'll ever make peace with it, and if i'll ever feel like i'm not...suffocating under the weight of it. i ran because i couldn't live with it all. it was...self preservation. i wasn't thinking about anyone or anything else. it was just unbearable. so i left. but even now i still can't live with it. not really.”
asher understands when it’s his purpose to listen, not to push further. so he does, taking in finn’s words one at a time. he finds his heart breaking for him, his sympathy for his loss and his situation becoming so overwhelming he’d almost like to cry. but he knows finn well enough by now that he knows he wouldn’t want that. so asher plays the role of the companion, of the listening ear. as much as he likes to talk, as much as he’d like to motivate finn, listening is just as good. he wants to understand. he wants finn to be happy too. he pauses for a second, wondering how to respond to all of the feelings that finn has just confided in him. he wants to be sure that he’s comfortable doing so again, if he wishes to.
“it’s not going to just feel better one day,” asher’s frown comes from a place of empathy, of his own demons he runs from. he’s still afraid of too much quiet, of closed doors and raised voices. but he doesn’t understand finn’s exact plights, not directly. “i used to read a lot. it was my only way to understand the world outside of the manor. you’re not the first man to lose a war and you won’t be the last. what happened happened. you shouldn’t forget it. but you can breathe whenever you’re ready to.”
finn goes quiet again. longer than the previous quiets, broken only when he finally says “i’m tired.”
“that’s alright,” asher assures him, and after a moment of looking around the ground in their immediate vicinity, he hands him a smooth, flat stone. perfect for skipping. he’s pushed enough, he’s just happy that finn’s opened up to him. he watches as finn throws the stone into the water. it skips three times, not bad.
“if we go back, i don't know how i'm going to stand seeing those pricks from gleerium in the estate that they stole from my family. or hearing the people calling it fucking. soule or remilly or whatever, instead of lucinier. it makes me sick.”
“remilly is a dumb name,“ asher agrees, smiling a bit despite the circumstances. he can’t help but think that he’s lucky to have met a man like finn, a man who still wants to help others despite the low place he’s gone to. there’s not too many heroes in this world, but asher thinks he may have met once of them. it’s why he makes another promise: “i have your back, finn.”
finn faces him, looks at him for the first time practically since this conversation began. asher fights the urge to smile, something about finn’s undivided attention giving him such a desire. he fails, but it seems to be alright, because finn finally replies: “okay. thanks.”
asher gets to his feet, handing him another skipping stone that he found. “this helps, doesn’t it?” maybe he just wants validation for his own coping mechanism. maybe he wants to hear that he’s actually helping finn with this too.
“yeah, kinda,” finn throws the stone again, “haven't actually skipped stones in a while but i guess the skill is still there.” a laugh bubbles up from his lips. asher can’t help but feel a little giddy. for what reason he’s not quite sure.
“maybe try this instead of fighting every gleerian in etlia,” asher can joke now, grinning in finn’s direction.

(Oct. 21 2022)
(np) I went for a visit apparently. I went to visit my demon/kitsune friend. I had a white station wagon or SUV, and I was going to visit her, she was very excited about something she was working on. It was some sort of dress or something, she was a master seamstress, she could sew almost anything, including paper-thin slices of wood from a log, which was what she was working on. She was waiting outside excitedly for me to show up and see what she was working on, so we went into her house and she showed me all her dresses.
I was dreaming in this place. I was in the bedroom with Key, and we were getting ready for bed, when I thought I saw his shadow move oddly. I did a double take and thought I was maybe imagining it. He started to come into bed with me and his shadow moved weird, and this time I know it did. I screamed, I cried out in my sleep. I could also see the him that was awake, and he was trying to wake me up. The shadow turned into two dark, shadow wolves, with flat red eyes. They jumped off the wall, and went after key. I begged them not to take him away (all the while, key that was awake kept trying to wake me up to no avail). They grabbed him in they're jaws and dragged him away. I cried and bawled. I said I had nothing left now. I shifted to see me sleeping, key still trying to wake me up, but he couldn't, I wouldn't wake up. Suddenly, I got quiet, very quiet. I think in the dream, I killed myself. Then I woke up. Then I came back here...it was very difficult to deal with.
I did something kind of stupid, but I want to trying and something different in doing what I do here on this world, and I thought maybe this would do something, help somehow, in some way. Maybe there could be a little peace, maybe they could even help with things? Maybe the real leader of the jaded cross would be in the mix as well, maybe it's a group of rogues. I sent a message to angels, that I wanted to talk, I wanted to open a dialog, find out what made them so angry, see if we can maybe work something out, figure things out. My demon/kitsune friend was with, we had them gather on more neutral ground, and I kept a more neutral form, my usual form. Not light, not dark, more in between. I put Kay, his brothers, the doc, and Haennah, on stand by, in case they're needed. We got to the place, I told my friend to say hidden in the shadows. If something was going to go horribly wrong, I didn't want her catching any fire...so to speak. Also, if I needed to be taken out of there quickly, she needed to not be injured. They showed up...and then someone came up behind me and knocked me out, hit me in the back of the head. I woke up, and they'd put some sort of power dampening braces on me. and it seems they drained my energy, as well as secured me in place. I opened my eyes and looked and there was one of them, tall, stood out in front, I assume it was their spokesperson. It was interesting, out of the huge numbers there, there was a few clusters of them that had an olive green, or a gross greenish brown aura to them. The rest it was a light blue, or like...LED cool white.
The spokesperson, or thats what I'm gonna call this one, such a monologists, looks at me and says "NOW we'll talk to you, now that we have ensured you're not going to go on a rampage." I asked why they hated to me so, what I did to make them so angry. The spokesperson went on a long speech. "We don't all hate you, many of us don't, some believe in you, and what your doing, some are indifferent. There are those of us that disagree, too. Of those of us who disagree, are those of us who want to do something about it." At this point I noticed two things. One, some of the angels in the back got a confused look on their faces, like they didn't know what this one was talking about. Two, I noticed this one was fiddling with something. I could feel it, I knew what was going to happen. I chose not to do anything, to show that I am not a monster....which was probably stupid. The entire thing was probably stupid but I have to try and change something. "There are those who want to get you out of existence, and of those of us who want you out, there are those that want to destroy you (he proceeded to walk up to me), then there are those of us that not only want to destroy you, we want to see you suffer, every second of your destruction."
At this point, I realized that these band of rogue angels, these angels that had the weird greenish yellow, gross colored auras, the only reason that I didn't know about any angels that DON'T hate me is because these ones are; as best I can describe, bigger, stronger, more "well known", so they tend to silence anyone else that doesn't feel the same way. I saw what was in this ones hand. But the spokesperson decided to tell me anyways as he walked right up and stood next to me. Telling me that it was a frayera breakaway blade. meaning it would breakaway pieces inside if one were to be stabbed with it. I wasn't sure how it was obtained (but thinking on it now, seems to be a clue here). The spokesperson went into details about their intentions. I didn't know what to say. The knife...well...it was more like a letter opener spike, was used. and agonizing, searing pain from reactive poison....after...idk how long, I did pass out for a bit, but was awakened by my demon/kitsune friend yelling for me to come back, hold one. I opened my eyes as my friend was removing the power dampening braces, and I saw a group of angels, the ones with the light blue and white auras come into view and ask my friend how they could help. She said something about helping get me home so the doc, Kay, and his brothers could maybe work out how to heal this...I passed out after that, despite the calls and yelling to get me back. Not sure what's going on right now but I did get an answer, and a clue out of it, so it wasn't for nothing
it was also weird that I came back here with the song "Hallelujah" in my head.

Here’s why the Supernatural Series Finale Sucked
(AND IT REALLY ISN’T JUST BECAUSE CAS/MISHA WASN’T IN IT)
First of all, I’d like to state, that this perspective is coming from someone who has watched, invested in, and dissected this show for 15 years. I’ve tried to rationalize and justify every single decision each of the main characters made throughout the years, and I’ve always tried to make sense of each of their story arcs from a “bigger picture” standpoint as each season progressed.
Anyway, before I can properly explain why the finale sucked, let me quickly take you through 15 seasons by segregating them into 3 eras, because you can’t really comprehend what Supernatural is about and what it’s become without going through how it tried to expand its universe.
SEASONS 1-5: THE KRIPKE ERA
Now, we all know that Kripke was always set in wrapping up Sam and Dean’s story in 5 seasons, and he did just that.
So, in this era, Supernatural is about two brothers who set out on a journey to fulfill “the family business”. They hunt mythical monsters that terrorize the world, while battling the monsters within themselves. Their ultimate “big bad” is an apocalypse.
Towards the end of this era, we find out that Sam and Dean are actually a parallel to Biblical characters who are brothers turned rivals. And that Sam and Dean’s destiny is to go up against each other.
However, as a dynamic, they have always been about making their own choices, choosing free will, and having a brotherly bond that can power through against any obstacle at any given day.
So, this era is neatly wrapped up with its finale. The characters grow, and get justified endings.
Dean, a man who thinks of himself as two things: 1. Sam’s older brother and protector; and 2. Daddy’s blunt little instrument.
He’s spent his whole life believing that that was his only purpose, and he knew that the only ending he’ll get would either be a bloody death fulfilling his duty to the family business; or laying his life on the line to save his brother.
Dean gets the ending he thought was never possible for him, something he thought he could never deserve. After years of living and dying for his family, he gets a shot at having an apple pie life--to settle down with a nice girl, raise a kid in a house with a white picket fence. With Sam gone, Dean’s responsibility now is to himself.
Sam, on the other hand, never wanted any part of it, because he wasn’t groomed the way Dean was, and because thanks to Dean, Sam wasn’t traumatized or forced into growing up too quickly the way Dean was.
So Sam aspires for a normal life, and works the cases with Dean so he can maybe get some semblance of it, when everything they set out to kill are laid to rest.
Ultimately, Sam performs a selfless act for his brother, who has given up everything for him, and for their cause--to save the world.
The journey is this: Dean sacrifices everything to save Sam, and Sam sacrifices himself so Dean could live.
Apart from being Dean’s “savior” and guardian angel, Castiel’s role in this era is to serve as a mirror to Dean’s journey. Castiel goes from being heaven’s foot soldier, following “God’s orders”; to an angel who learns to choose and feel for the first time in his existence.
After they realize that they’re both daddy’s blunt instruments, Dean starts choosing his own path for himself, and convinces Castiel to join him. Castiel stops following heaven, and starts following Dean.
In the end, with his newfound understanding of the world thanks to Dean, Castiel goes back to heaven to reform it.
We’ve resolved the biblical arc, and the character journeys.
SEASONS 6-10: THE SPIN-OFF ERA
So this is where the show realizes how vast its universe can be, so it tries to expand it by tapping into uncharted lands and experimenting with it.
They take on heaven, reform hell, explore purgatory, have the angels fall, turn Dean into a demon, and kill Death.
Dean and Sam recognize their codependency, and try to rise above it.
They go back and forth between which brother will risk it all for the greater good every other season.
Dean and Cas strengthen their relationship by recognizing the impact they have on each other’s lives.
Cas structures his life and decisions around Dean (Seasons 6-7), and Dean learns to trust and fight for Cas (Seasons 8-9).
Sam and Cas bond (mostly over Dean) because of their shared rationales in decision-making.
Dean, Sam, and even Cas also forge relationships with the people they work with. The concept of “found family” is introduced here.
This era was heavy on the plot while establishing, reinforcing, and solidifying relationships and dynamics.
At this point, it wasn’t just about the brothers anymore.
If Supernatural had ended in Season 10, the logical finale would’ve been Team Free Will, along with the family that they’ve found, going up against the latest big bad (Death or whoever). Maybe they lose them along the way, maybe they all make it out alive, or maybe they go down swinging, but at least the show recognizes and supports the message they keep saying, “Family don’t end with blood”
SEASONS 11-15: THE REWRITE ERA
This is where the show runs out of ideas and decides to invalidate the seasons that came before it.
From bringing Mary back (basically rendering their whole journey pointless because they’ve literally started hunting because of her death), to changing the stipulations in being Michael and Lucifer’s vessels (another character struggle rendered useless), to God himself breaking the fourth wall by saying that the Winchesters get away with everything because “they’re the main characters in his story and everything they’ve been through was just part of a badly written narrative”.
But what we’re getting from this era is that Sam and Dean, along with Cas (who has also deviated from the story) ARE trying to escape a badly written narrative.
That’s the “big bad” in this era. The writer.
At this point, the characters have picked up so many strays (including those from alternate universes), and have settled into their roles in their “found family”. Dean, Sam, and Cas all become surrogate dads and uncles.
They’ve also graduated from the whole “we’re on different sides” and “going behind each other’s backs” drama. And they just want the whole family together.
They’ve all resigned themselves to the cause, but they’re also tired. Dean allows himself to contemplate about wanting more out of life or at least getting a vacation. Sam, on the other hand, realizes his capabilities as an effective leader. Castiel learns to love another being that isn’t Dean (spoiler: it’s Jack).
However, they also realize that they’ve just been puppets on a string all this time.
So what they want now, is to write their own story, and make their own choices knowing that God/the writer isn’t the one fueling their narrative.
So here’s why the finale sucks:
Andrew Dabb, the current showrunner, said that there would be two finales.
15x19 - The finale to wrap up Season 15, and 15x20 - The finale to wrap up the series by “resolving the characters’ journey”
In 15x19 the boys find a way to de-power God/the writer. For the first time in their whole lives, they are free from the story. Their lives are completely theirs now. They can make their own decisions. There are no more “big bads” to fight
And here’s what happens in 15x20:
Immediately after being freed from their story arc, Dean and Sam go back to hunting the monster of the week.
Dean eats pie, gets nailed (literally), makes a 10-minute speech to Sam because he knows he’s dying, then he goes to heaven.
Dean is greeted by Bobby, his surrogate Dad who he hasn’t seen (fully alive) since Season 7. Bobby’s expository dialogue comprises of him explaining that he got out of heaven’s jail, that John and Mary are next door, and that Jack and Cas fixed the dynamics of heaven off-screen.
The first thing Dean decides to do is go for a long drive in his Impala (as if he hasn’t done enough of that already).
Meanwhile, Sam decides to stop hunting after Dean dies, he gets the apple pie life he hadn’t wanted since Season 8 (while Dean was in Purgatory), and names his kid “Dean” for effect. He grows old and dies.
Dean drove around in heaven for so long that Sam catches up to him.
They hug. The end.
Great, right?
After 15 years of struggling to battle their own respective destinies, going up against big bads and even bigger bads, then finally being able to take charge of their own stories, Dean and Sam regress to hunting the monster of the week, and get killed off by a nail and old age. Okay.
Sam gets to retire and have a family, sure, but they still focus on him and the kid he named after his dead brother. Still just “Sam and Dean” through and through. Nothing to do with found family. Just lineage. Just blood. And it ends there.
See, the problem here is that this ending would’ve been passable in The Kripke Era. But we’re 10 years down the road since, and while Sam and Dean are the original main characters, the show isn’t just about them and their codependent relationship anymore.
So you see, even if you take out the whole “Castiel deserves to be in the finale because he’s also a main character with an unfinished story arc” argument, the finale still does no justice to the series it tried to “wrap up”.
But anyway, now I’ll make the case for the problem with Castiel not being in the finale:
In 15x18, we get a 5-minute rushed confession from Castiel to Dean. The context of which are as follows:
1. Earlier in the episode, Dean had wounded Death with her scythe. We later find out that this wound is fatal.
2. Their friends start to “blip out” in a Thanos-like snap, and Dean thinks that Death is causing it, so Dean seeks her out, and Cas goes with him.
3. Dean and Cas anger Death, apparently for no reason because she didn’t even do the thing they thought she did. She chases them to try to kill them
4. Dean and Cas lock themselves in a room. Dean starts a pity party.
5. As Dean goes through hating himself out loud, Cas decides to inform Dean of the deal he made with The Empty. He then proceeds to explain the stipulation of the deal (that he would get taken once he experiences a moment of true happiness), then discusses his newfound happiness philosophy. Dean is getting whiplash.
6. Cas goes on to imply that the one thing that he wanted that he knew he couldn’t have is Dean Winchester reciprocating his romantic feelings for him. (Don’t even try to fight me on this because Cas already has Dean’s platonic love, and he knows that Dean thinks of him as a brother, so if he really meant this in a “familial” way, then why would he think that he couldn’t have the thing that would make him happy?) So Cas’ realization is that telling Dean about his feelings is enough to make him happy.
7. Cas tells Dean all the reasons why he loves him (thereby combating Dean’s self-deprecation tirade), and all the reasons why he’s worthy of his love. Meanwhile, Dean is still winded from the fact that Cas is about to sacrifice himself for him again.
8. Dean never gets to process anything, because Cas is shoving him out of the way, as he and Death (who busts through the door) get taken by The Empty.
After this episode, Dean never speaks of it. Misha Collins supposes that Dean doesn’t reciprocate. Jensen Ackles says that Dean didn’t really get to process it because it was too much, too fast, and that Dean, still dense as ever, thinks that Cas, a celestial being, doesn’t interpret human feelings the same way.
So what was the point of this confession?
Politics and sensitivities of a 2005 network television aside, what does this do for the story?
Cas proclaims his romantic feelings to Dean, but Dean never acknowledges it, doesn’t even give it a passing thought afterwards. So Cas’ big declaration goes unheard.
Cas cashes in on his Empty deal to kill Death (who was dying anyway), in order to save Dean who dies two episodes after.
Dean makes no effort to save Cas (despite being really broken up about his previous deaths, or even spending a whole year in Purgatory looking for him), even after they’ve beaten God, not even asking Jack (who has all the power in the universe) to bring him back (when Jack has already done it before, with less mojo).
Dean moves on to fight the monster of the week. Somewhere off-screen, Jack rescues Cas from The Empty, but Cas uncharacteristically doesn’t even bother to go to Dean? (Every single time he comes back, Dean’s always the first person he goes to)
And Cas, who apparently helped craft and reform the new heaven, isn’t the one who welcomes Dean and explains the new dynamics of it?
Sure, Jan.

This shit is about to hurt so please read with caution because I'm on my feels and my period which makes me a little crybaby...
Okay like I'm eating peaches and also studying geometry but... Dad!Nanami consumes my brain so much, it's the only thing I can think of!
Dad!Nanami whose voice is shaking so much and is at the verge of crying contrary to what everyone sees him as, when he sees you and his little baby girl.( I don't care what anyone says, I will always imagine that Nanami would be the girl father and an amazing one🥺🥰)
Dad!Nanami who never lets go of her and looks at her amazed. She is the copy of him, the eyes, the hair, the nose everything! Fortunately though, she at least have your personality.
Dad!Nanami who makes Gojo his daughter's godfather even though he acts like he hates him. But he respects Gojo so much and knows that if something were to happen to him, he would take care of his wife and daughter.
Gojo calling his goddaughter, his little kikufuku mochi and teaches her to hate the higher ups and gives her a little speech while she looks at him as if he grew another head and lightly slaps his nose with sparkling eyes. Gojo whines to Nanami that he is the one who encourages her to do that and even if Nanami is silent, we all know that this is true.
You know the tradition in which they put a few objects in front of the baby and the little cinnamon roll chooses one? Nanami's girl doesn't even hesitate, she doesn't care about the objects in front of her, she immediately goes to her papa's sword and touches it.
Everyone is delighted and kinda amused at the look on bot Nanami's and your's faces. Gojo exclaims that he is gonna have a little student from now on while Nanami is threating him. He puts her daughter away from the blade and hides it so that she can choose a normal thing for her career because he doesn't want his little girl to choose being a sorcerer. But this time she crawls to him while he is sitting on the ground and sits at his lap, pulling his tie as if to say that "No matter what, I wanna be like you."
Dad!Nanami being overwhelmed by her love for him but he truly despises the idea. He doesn't want her  to face the harshness of this world, doesn't want her to fight for her life not knowing when she could die because of a curse... He excuses himself for some time and in the meantime they try one more time and she goes to Maki and try to get her hands on her little blade while she freaks the hell out.
Dad!Nanami who will never forget the first time she walks and the first time she starts to see the curses. They are both at the the same day, she is waiting in front of the door since his arrival time came and yes, she knows his work schedule by heart 🤩 This is the reason why Nanami absolutely hates over-time because he knows that his little one will be waiting in front of the doos to be the first to greet him. He always disliked it and he hates it.
As soon as he walks through the door, his daughter clings onto his pants and looks up at him and he feels like his whole stress has been lifted. He goes to kitchen and kiss you and gives her to you but she also wants her father to be here so she flails but when she sees that he still keeps going, she lets out a high "Papa!" and gets out of your grasp and after a while, she stands on her wobbly feet and starts to have have her steps. This makes both you and him stop and gape at her. She is pretty happy that she now has both of her parents' attention😎
That night, Nanami goes to bed the happiest but both of you doesn't know that it is gonna be interrupted. In the middle of the night, his girl lets out a very high and scared wail, screaming for her papa and neither you nor Nanami ever got out of the bed that fast. Nanami immediately grabs his blade and dashes to her room only to find that a curse entered her room even though there were tailsmans around her room. His daughter is in rhe corner while the curse was slowly inching closer but before that Nanami kills it without mercy. When she sees you, she grips your shirt so hard while crying and saying that there was a big and hairy monster.
Dad!Nanami who accepts that his daughter can see the things he absolutely despises and explains to her the world they live in. After some time though, when he was certain that she would cry again, she asks a simple question. " Do you think I'd take after you and save the world?" in her own little baby language and Nanami, for the first time is astonished and amazed enough so much so that he couldn't speak. But his girl is playing with the hem of her PJs with embrassment but Nanami suddenly pulls her to his chest and squeezes her so much while muttering "I love you"s to her.
Spoiler Alert....( We all know where this is going but I jave another set of headcanons where he is alive because I will never accept that he died....🤧😭)
Dad!Nanami who is full of regrets because he will never be able to see his girl graduate, be an amazing young woman who inspires other, have a significant other. He would never be able to walk her down the aisle, never would be able to drive her to school, never hear her voice get higher when she talks about her parents.
Dad!Nanami who is full of sadness because he couldn't keep his promise to you. His promise of giving you a long and blessed life and family, his promise of going to Malaysia with you and his girl. His promise to cherish and love you each and every day till the day you both die. He regrets not saying you "I love you." before this mission. He knows that you are still fighging and for this mere reason her tries to do the same but he has no power. He has no other choice rather than trusting you two with Itadori and Gojo.
You knew when exactly he died. You knew because when he died, your heart stopped for a moment too. You couldn't stop the tears and the strong wail that passed your lips while collapsing, thinking what were you gonna say to your girl.
Itadori is the one who told you his last words, he wanted you out of this life, he wanted both of you to live and maybe it was selfish but you agreed. It was hard to explain it to your girl but suprisingly she said that he will never actually leave you to alone and that he will be watching over you both while hugging you.
And true to her words, she inherited his technique and wanted to learn how to use it so that she can be like her Papa. Only remains that was found were his blade, his ring and a part of his tie. She proudly uses his blade and has the part of his tie in a necklace while you wear both of the wedding rings.
And again, true to her words Nanami was watching over her with his friend Haibara. He was telling him what s strong girl she was and Nanami was only able to nod his head while tears were slipping from his eyes, muttering a single apology with a little threat as if she can hear. "Don't you dare die, little clover." And at that moment, she suddenly looks up to sky and promises to both of you that she will live. Right at this moment, Nanami realises that the bond you three have can never be broken and he can only pray that he will have you as his wife and his girl as his daughter in his next lives one more time...
jjk spoilers ahead!
....I am on my period too so now I am crying? Like I shed a few tears ?????? How dare you do this to me?????
I-
I swear - some of yall deserve to write more than my dumbass does. LOOK AT THIS AMAZINGNESS THAT IS A NANAMI ANGST???

Selfish is Eren’s trait.
No matter how much time changes.
EDIT: Should I mention that this is NOT an Eren rant? This is just me marveling at how great Eren’s character is, no matter what his flaws are.
Many people has been saying that Eren is selfless, how the Rumbling is the only choice to save Paradis so he had to set aside his emotion for greater good. While yes, that is true, it’s not quite right. Remember chapter 131?
Eren himself said he was selfish. He was disappointed the world is not as beautiful as in Armin’s book. He was disappointed humanity outside the walls exist. He wished to wipe them all away. But still, no matter how much he wished for it to happen, it’s still wrong. Just like Eren said in chapter 130, all the future he saw is still far away. Maybe things could change. Maybe his wish won’t come true, but at least things would turn out to be morally right. That’s why he decided to sit back and watch.
Tumblr media
But no. Even after Zeke (another royal blood) and Azumabito (the mediator to the outside world) entered Paradis, they’re not giving him a great option. They’re blinded by their own selfish desire. Azumabito just wanted to use Paradis as a cashgrab, while Zeke wished for Eldia’s euthanasia. Paradis doesn’t give him another option either, even though the time is running out.
Of course Eren would snap.
Tumblr media
Fuck them all. Fuck them all, who won't give Paradis a chance. Fuck them all, who choose to stay in their comfort zone. Time is running out. All lives matter, including Paradis. If the world refused to see Paradis as a part of humanity, then he’ll reject them as parts of humanity too. If Paradis refuse to move, then he’ll force them to move. Better bring out his dream to life if that's the case.
It was all too convenient; the time, the circumstances. It was all matching with his dream to exterminate his enemies; to become free from shackles; to expand his horizon outside the walls.
Tumblr media
He has the power, and he only have a few years to live, what's the more appropriate time than now?
But still.  He's painfully aware it's wrong.  What’s he about to do is a one-sided massacre.
Tumblr media
If I had to say, Eren has several options:
Wipe out the rest of the world
Let the world trample Paradis
Run away and forget it all
Share his future memories, and decide things with his friends.
Option #4 is already out of the window, because he doesn’t trust his friends enough to let them decide their future. He believes all the hatred and bloodshed will not stop until he buries the world to the ground, to avoid them laying a hand on Paradis ever again. He believes if he doesn’t do this, his friends would continue to live in misery until they die.
Tumblr media
Option #3 is also out, since he had to move forward no matter what, so he’s left with 2 choices.
Again, he throw away option #2, because no matter how much he think about it, there’s no way he’d let his own people being trampled by the world.
Tumblr media
So yeah, option #1 is to go, then. But he knew, it’s wrong.  He will take all the lives of innocent people. He will drag his friends into danger, he will hurt them, he will disappoint everyone. He will become a monster. There's no guarantee Paradis will strive once this is all over. There might be another hell, he knew.
That’s why, even though he knows what to do, even though things is going according to his dream, he broke down. He still asked for forgiveness, even though he knew full well he’s the one at fault.
Tumblr media
He couldn’t take it anymore. His guilt is eating him alive.
At this time, he wished for an escape. He’s starting to reconsider option #3. And that’s where Mikasa came in.
Tumblr media
Mikasa, the girl who sticks to him no matter what. Mikasa, who saved him, no matter how hopeless the situation is.
Tumblr media
Maybe this time, she could save him too. He relies on her, he clings to her answer for dear life. Maybe he could stop him. Maybe things would turn out okay if she give a different answer.
Tumblr media
But no. Things didn’t work out as he wished for. Mikasa didn’t see through his suffering, she is clueless as ever; so he had to move on with his initial plan. When Eren said it’s a perfect timing, he really meant that, since he could snap out of his emotional self and focus on what he needs to do. Back to option #1.
This is one of the moments where Eren’s half-assed-ness selfishness shine. If he truly cares for the rest of the world, if he truly cares for his friends’ feeling, he should’ve open up more. He should’ve told Mikasa his dream, because only then, she could understand where Eren is coming from. If so, maybe Mikasa could told him to give up his dream, just like Levi to Erwin.
Tumblr media
But no. Until the very end, he didn’t told his friends anything, because he already decided. He didn’t want his friends to stop him at this point, not yet. He has to do what he needs to do first. Not even in the moment of weakness he’d let Mikasa stop him. Because he knew. If he let his emotion and moral get the better of him, he’d never find a solace. Sure, maybe he could live the rest of his life with Mikasa in peace, but he wouldn’t be able to live with another greater regrets.
He chose the solace instead of salvation from his sins. So he turned his back from SC and never came back.
Eren infiltrated Marley. He experienced it firsthand how, even outside the walls, bad and good people were all the same. Reiner’s confession surprised him in a good way, because of  how similar they are than he originally thought.
Tumblr media
Both of them are moving with such selfish desire, under the pretense of “for the greater good.” Reiner destroyed the walls because he wanted to become a hero, while Eren is about to destroy the world because he wants humanity to perish. Their guilt is eating them alive to this day.
But Willy’s speech reminding him once again, that, in the end, they’re all the same, they’re just one side of the coin.
Tumblr media
Willy reminded him why he’s doing all of these in the first place. He reminded him of his initial motivation.
Tumblr media
It resonates with him so much that it hurt. Listening to Reiner and Willy gave him comfort,  that everything is not his, nor everybody's fault. There’s no right or wrong. Maybe, everyone is born this way. Even if he moves with selfish desire, the world really doesn’t give him much choice so it doesn’t really matter. It's just the matter of who will keep going until the very end.
He keeps moving forward until his objective is fulfilled, no matter how much he suffers, no matter how much his friends suffer. But deep down, he wanted to be saved. So much that during the Rumbling, his mind regressed into a child, because it’s easier for him to kill “bad people” to reach his “freedom.” This is why he didn’t fight the Alliance seriously. If Eren really wanted the Rumbling to continue, he could’ve eliminated them on the get-go, or sent one of his titans to remove the explosives around his neck, or prevented Armin from reaching out to Zeke, anything. But he didn’t. Because now that his objective is fulfilled, as Reiner said, he wants someone to stop him. He decides when is the right time to stop; and that’s after he destroy Fort Salta, humanity’s last weapon.
TLDR; Eren is selfish for  letting his dream get the better of him; for deciding what’s best for Paradis himself; for dragging his dad and his friends into this mess; for choosing this bloody path; for wanting to be saved after everything he had done. But if he hadn’t done this, who knows what hell will await Paradis. He won’t take that risk, ever. Eren is aware of all of this; thus why, he asked Mikasa to forget about him.
His selfishness makes him a true monster, yet at the same time, a really flawed human being.
Eren Yeager decides where to start, and where to end his journey. He really is selfish until the end.

astielle ch 28 spoiler ask dump~~
anonymous asked:
Tauril-form is puberty, because that's when his voice changes. Abysscale-form is college-age because that's when he goes to his first orgy.
anonymous asked:
You called Abysscale-form college-age (which does not preclude teenage sexscapades given the ages that go to college) and that tracks with how I think of Tauril-form as going through puberty (because of the voice-change). But if Tauril is the horny teenager that's kind of sad. Because as Minnow has pointed out many times That Dick Will Kill.
not each other, it won't!! although i imagine taurils sleeping with each other would have the bro-iest vibe. very bill and ted. taurils also have Options with people who aren't giant bull centaurs, it's just awkward is all. fortunately for everyone taurils are actually adults and are not full of hormones, they just have zero impulse control and when they like someone they want to impress them and spend time with them and it doesn't necessarily occur to them to get their dicks involved in the situation (karzarul's mind was elsewhere the first time he was a tauril)
anonymous asked:
When Violet said monsters make the best mercenaries and throw the best parties I didn't think about it, but the fact that all the impyrs came into being with swordsmanship skills equal to Lynette probably had something to do with the former. Even if ten isn't that many, THEY COME BACK. (Eventually. In, like, a month.) And the others probably learned from Lynette, even if they died. Lynette's unintentional teaching, back again.
they learned from the best murdering them repeatedly
anonymous asked:
When Ari is repopulating, and he skips Black Drakonis, he says "Makes sense." But he's surprised when Violet points out that Black Drakonis is missing, so it sounds like he at least had a theory/assumption at the time for why she was skipped, but it doesn't match with the new information.
he initially just assumed that black drakonis had managed to avoid being killed the whole time, which made sense because she's a big dragon and she can just fly away if someone is trying to murder her. but generally if a bigass monster is alive someone is going to see it, especially her, because she likes finding population centers to try to guard.
anonymous asked:
"It also occurred to him that trying to get Minnow to act like she lived in a society since they were young may have negatively impacted his sense of what constituted an acceptable thing to say to a person while his dick was out." Is just HILARIOUS.
anonymous asked:
Honestly I can relate to Leonas cause just last week I was like 'I keep falling asleep in class maybe I should develop a caffeine addiction' and one of my friends was like 'pls eat more food' so I started to actually have breakfast and an after work snack and I magically stopped falling asleep in class
anonymous asked:
Minnow's hips don't lie, but castle ruins are strangely deceptive.
everyone who wasn't following along when astielleblogging intersected with kink taxonomy hell is going to be so confused if/when minnow finally gets stuck somewhere
@9ofspades asked:
Ari is my favorite again and I want him to have actual eternity to be happy with his poly soulmate throuple together. And also his big monster family. Also I think he's wrong about what the core of the Heir and Hero are - both of them have, deep in the core of their souls, the fact that they are Monsterfuckers.
for the record i have a post in my drafts with all of your readalong asks and i still haven't decided what to do with them but i enjoyed them IMMENSELY
anonymous asked:
>looking for food >ask the cook if their food is earthy or wet >she doesn't understand >pull out illustrated diagram explaining what is earthy and what is wet >she laughs and says "it's good food sir" >buy some food >its wet
@ivylaughed asked:
I love the tumblr meme references in Astielle. The guards bringing their own knives; there being an infinite variety of brassica oleracea; the fucking chocolate guy. I'm half-waiting for a children's hospital/color theory reference. Thank you for the easter eggs.
i'm glad someone read 'chocolate birdhouse' and immediately thought THAT FUCKING CHOCOLATE GUY AGAIN ashjasd
anonymous asked:
I just wanted to say that as a plant nerd and forager I deeply appreciated Minnow's surprisingly accurate botany lesson.
unfortunately all the books that leonas gave minnow are still at her house and so she cannot cite sources for the existence of hemlock, queen anne's lace, and giant hogweed
anonymous asked:
“I think you overestimate people’s willingness to admit when things don’t make sense to them," lmao Minnow has a point
will the two men she is with learn from this and start admitting when they don't know things they think they should and are confused? absolutely not.
anonymous asked:
XD Ari hears "Kavid" and immediately attempts a strategic retreat.
anonymous asked:
“‘you should get dressed’ is a complete sentence.” Is making me laugh.
it's probably for the best because if he actually had known all three of them were out there it would have taken him like an hour to get ready and he would have had at least one breakdown about how none of his outfits were good enough and it was all nari's fault
anonymous asked:
Kavid: I will be happy to HAVE YOU ALL *lascivious eyebrow wiggle* at my earliest convenience.
anonymous asked:
"he gets smaller" "in this weather who doesn't?" KITTY PLZZZ
anonymous asked:
I can't decide whether I love or hate Kavid - I have a very Specific idea in mind for his voice, though I admittedly can't figure out where I'm pulling it from. He is an Excellent character though. Lovely chapter as always :D
anonymous asked:
Before, I was entertained by Kavid. Now I love him.
anonymous asked:
Kitty, Kraven and Kavid have similar speech patterns on purpose, right??? Right?????
i was honestly imagining some kind of nonsense faux-european what-country-is-this-even-from hollywood accent but imagining that he has sounded extremely russian this whole time is extremely funny
@rose-and-bones asked:
SHE HAS A TYPE aghfgstjs
minnow having a thing for obnoxiously pretty men who think they're great aka self-recognition through the other (horny)
@speakingintothevoid asked:
“You are,” Leonas said, “an egotistical, self-important fop.” “Ye-e-es,” Kavid said without shame. “She has a type, does Starlight.” I! LOVE!! IT!!! Makes me almost think of Violet and Karzarul - our point of view character being faced with a version of themselves who are more comfortable in their own skin and our boys not knowing why that annoys them
@keleviel asked:
I rescind my earlier mild disdain, Kavid is great. Is he actually The Greatest Of Bards, or is that just more showmanship?
he rocks about as hard as you can rock on a lyre, which is probably harder than you'd think (especially if you brought a lot of drummers) (which he does)
anonymous asked:
Jakshahshsh every time a new astielle chapter comes out i read it at least twice. Kavid i love you. Leonas i love you also you fucked up lil man. And karzarul the seat. And minnow the mischievous. and just. poor nari. existing in the same world as minnow and her all-powerful boyfriends and also kavid. nari needs a raise
she really does
anonymous asked:
Bruce in Office Meeting and Leonas grabbing the wine when Kavid starts talking about Imperials solidarity.
anonymous asked:
"You would like to compare notes?""Always." Brilliant. Leonas to a t. Loving this interlude with kavid. Snuggly tipsy leonas is a treat. kavids talk of how the weather makes all of us smaller had me cackling. Also this batshit imperial conspiracy is gr8
anonymous asked:
I am suddenly much less comfortable about Leonas performing medical experiments on Minnow, though no fault of his own. :(
@mooseman13579 asked:
Leonas finding out about the weird sun empire truther stuff: haha I'm in danger
the real unanswered question is how much of this is news and how much of it is stuff he already knew and assumed was normal
@thegayknee asked:
Holy shit this is it, isnt it. This is how they fix karzarul's reputation and expose Leland. With the power of Kavid
anonymous asked:
Karzarul's Questlog: "Work on our Image" updated, The Tale of Hollow Monsters delivered to bard.
anonymous asked:
just how many of her lovers is minnow going to recruit into her questing party
she should probably be swapping people out to keep their levels consistent but instead she just keeps karzarul and leonas as her companions for every single quest
@flying-butter asked:
"Details! I need details!" "The king sucks." This is every conversation with any of the trio. Minnow likely knows how to complete half of Ari's quests and Leonas the other half, but no one talks about anything without prompting.
minnow just assumes that everyone knows what she knows because she can't possibly be the brains of the operation and meanwhile karzarul and leonas are both busy having shame
anonymous asked:
i was so excited for the lore drop but the moment Leonas sat in Karzarul's lap my brain just shut off
@themaidenisdeath asked:
oh yes, as we all know, "all business" and "taciturn" are the first words that come to mind when we think of Minnow. It reminded me of when she met Karzarul and he told her she was particularly chatty for hero. Sorry Kavid, you're just neither a Sweet, Considerate Monster with a Dick of Steel And Tentacles To Match™ nor a Twink Prince With Silky Hair, Dom Tendencies And Weird Dietary Beliefs™
@halfdeadfriedrice asked:
"what Hero business?" / "I'm the Hero. All my business is Hero business." You tell em Minnow! And then it turns out to be Quest relevant after all; all business is Hero business Also kavid's last night's makeup and messy convertible couch covered in laundry with half-empty wine bottles on the floor is THEE most visually resonant, I feel like I am visiting a college friend
leonas got very lucky that there weren't any cigarette butts floating in that wine because in his mood he might have just drank it anyway
