❝then i saw then the lamb broke one of the seven seals, and i heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, 'come.' i looked and behold, a white horse, and who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.❯

At this point, I will just admit I like thinking of ideas for crossovers. This time I've been thinking of many different kinds of crossovers, whether it been My Hero Academia crossing over with One Piece, X-Men crossing over with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or even Devil May Cry crossing over with Darksiders.
Speaking of that last one, I can imagine Samael and plenty other demons knows of the Sparda lineage on Earth, they just keeps shut about it for their own reasons. The Horsemen may learn about the Sparda lineage at some point, like say Strife and Dante having a friendly rivalry as gunslingers.
Imagine, the Horsemen hear rumors of a demonic tree sprouting on Earth, but by the time they get there the Qlipoth has been severed. Some Demons are still roaming about but Nero gets to the them before the Horsemen do. Maybe the Charred Council don't do anything because TECHNICALLY a human summoned the Qlipoth to Earth, not a Demon, even if Vergil also counts as a Demon.
Another idea is that Nero, Kyrie, and Nico are still surviving on Earth after the End War has winded down, maybe along with other survivors. Nero would definitely kick some ass, but I doubt he'd have an idea of what to do exactly. Sure, the big tower looks important, but how does one exactly stop it's construction or get in, depending on the time frame.

✩📜🏚️Series Review:
⋆ Enemies to lovers
⋆ Forbidden love
⋆ Different protagonists each book
“The Four Horsemen” quartet ruined me for other books.
I said it before and I’ll say it again. Thalassa’s unique undertaking of writing a romance novel for each of the four horsemen of the apocalypse blew me away! Thalassa characterizes each of the four horsemen so well and successfully makes them distinctive from one another.
Additionally, I really love the leading ladies in this series. All four women are strong in their own way and shaped by their vastly different pasts. I was completely captivated by their respective storylines and the ways in which they were romanced by their horsemen.
I hope that Thalassa will consider returning to this world in the future or writing other post-apocalyptic romance novels because I. NEED. MORE!

fifth horsemen
#deceit smp#loonymc#taneeshahogan#yt#deceit#art#orig#tags out of the way -- here's your solar explanation!#there's a concept around the traffic/life series fandom that you can map each winner#to one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse somehow#and while personality-wise it doesn’t always fit i do think the aesthetics have some merit. SO#deceit has had the exact same duo win twice in a row#now the thing about this duo is they are smart and they are relentless. deceit is a game of trust and betrayal#tan and loony take loyalty very seriously or not at all seriously. you can see that in the Campfire Crew oath#but what matters here is that they are utterly relentless in their winning states even when they’re there by accident#and the thing is -- there’s sometimes said to be a fifth horseman#generally takes the place of pestilence but that’s neither here nor there. the other horseman is Conquest#born of war and born of want -- to impose power over others; to prove one's strength#to conquer all others before you#and that's the thing about conquest isn’t it? it doesn’t stop. it cannot stop. it can make allies of convenience but not keep them.#loyalty to empire only gets you so far; loyalty to each other leaves you as the last ones standing until you turn on each other#...so! campfire crew! anyway the sword halos are for their kills in s1#four each; two people each they completely conquered in as many words#every single pvp kill in deceit s1 was the traitors! aint that somethin.#anyway i hope they win again in s3 yes i am biased#also okay TECHNICALLY loony should have SEVEN swords in his halo (counting the kills the crash erased + legundo)#but the four swords were already giving me a hell of a lot of trouble so i ain't doing seven#you can picture them being there anyway if you want

Look, I'm enjoying these books way too much, okay. I'm already past the halfway point on this 2nd book and no I do not want to put it down to make dinner. I want to order-in dinner with what's left of last week's paycheck and stay in and keep reading. And maybe call in tomorrow to boot if that's what it takes to finish.
Shit, but then I'd need to go out and get book 3.
I'M IN DEEP, I TELL YA.

BOOK REVIEW
Series: The Four Horsemen Author: Sienna Moreau Rating: 5 / 5 Stars (for the series thus far)
I recently read Sienna Moreau’s new novel based in a world where the Seven Deadly Sins have a great deal of power (the title is Lust and it’s out now) and it was so good I wanted to explore her back catalog. So I started reading this LGBTQ romance series about the four horsemen of the apocalypse and the immortal beings they fall in love with. I fell in love with the overall story arc that carries throughout the four books (there will be a fifth–it’s due out summer 2024), the world building, the magic systems, the found family vibe, the kinks, the spice, and most of all? I fell in love with the characters and their chaotic hot mess found family vibe.
The first book, Conquest, focuses on the first horsemen and a naive baby angel who, for some reason, has no wings and no memories of ever being human. He’s an enigma and he’s being sent down from Heaven to try and find out as much as he can about what Conquest and his brothers are doing and report back to God and the Archangels. This book is heavy on the grumpy/sunshine, size difference, possessive alphahole, “touch him and you die” vibes. Raziel, the baby angel in question, is not only adorable, but he must be protected at all costs.
War is all about enemies to lovers and second-chance romance. Uriel is an Archangel who still remembers being human very well and somehow he and War get stuck in a different dimension together. They hate one another but boy do they love to hate one another. This one is heavy on the mutual possessive AF vibes, the “I’m the only one who gets to hurt you” vibes, and the opposites attract.
Famine is about the centuries and centuries old romance between Lucifer and the third horseman. These two have been in love for almost as long as they’ve known one another, but they’ve gotten too good at hurting one another. God punished them both for falling in love in extreme ways and Famine has never forgiven himself for it. Lucifer doesn’t care about forgiveness because he’s too busy being insane. This one leans very heavy on the second-chance romance, found family, and lots of kinky hot spice vibes.
Death is literally about “touch him and you die”, because Death’s touch is literal. Death last sent the demon Abaddon to death by kissing him. It was the only kiss Death has ever had and it was the only time anyone has ever asked Death to kiss them when they were sent back into the cycle. When Abaddon comes back in an unexpected way, all they can both think about is that kiss. It leads to more than they ever knew could happen. This one is HEAVY on kink and sadomasochism. Like, all the TW/CWs.
Throughout these books there is an intertwined story of gods, angels, demons, madness, blood, war, and terror. There are intelligent horses, innocent but cheeky cherubs, a cute as hell dog-sized arachnid named Paul that I would give my life for, and even a three-headed hell hound named Spot. I have enjoyed reading this series so much and I highly recommend it.

Emmy's Words; Nightfall
"The only time I ever loved my life was when I was with you."
"I was always your Em. No matter what I said or what I did or all the ways I let life win over the years...That night I knew. I was in love with you."
"You can leave. I'll survive. I always do. I just wanted you to know that."
"You know how to fight," she said, sounding surprised. But I shook my head. "I just know how to get back up."
Will's truck flashed in my memory—the smell and feel of him next to me. But after a few moments, I couldn't think of anything. I couldn't remember anything. No green eyes. No beautiful smile. No warm arms around me. My glasses spilled to the floor and then...something wet dripped into my eye. After a few moments, I couldn't even remember his face.
I cast my eyes to the side, seeing his shotgun in its holder. Sobs lodged in my chest. I could take it. It would all be over. I could sleep at night. I could sleep forever.
And if he didn't die, I would, and it had to be tonight. My insides screamed. I couldn't take it anymore.
I guess I understood people letting themselves be used, even for just a night if it meant not being alone for once.
I'd love to have an excuse to drag him into my hellish life and keep him there forever.
I loved that feeling too, Winter Ashby. It wasn't the ride though, honey. It wasn't the ride.

Thinking about it, this is probably a topic talked about before... But I feel like talking about it anyway!
Ever notice the similar designs between characters and just wonder what types of interactions there would be?
Here's two! One of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Death himself from the Darksiders series! And Jackie Estacado, bearer of the titular Darkness from The Darkness!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just kinda imagine some crazy stuff going down if these were in the same vicinity. Also probably a huge knock, down drag out fight. And maybe a "common enemy" appears for both to take down after they put aside their differences.
Speaking of the similar designs, pretty sure the creators of each character both worked at Image Comics around the same time. So some talking about designs and sharing ideas probably made this kind of thing happen. Or it's just one big coincidence, I don't really know, I've never met the creator/creators of either.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
✩⚔️🪦Review:
I would surrender my soul to read this book for the first time again.
Picking up a few years after “Pestilence” left off, “War” tells the story of Miriam Elmahdy, a weaponsmith who catches the eye of War, one of the horsemen of the apocalypse. Instead of killing her, War takes her with him as he raids town after town, claiming that she is his wife. And despite her better instincts and initial feelings of hatred, his gentle side begins to win her over.
I really like how Thalassa’s second book takes place in a different region of the world from “Pestilence”! She does a great job describing the tense environment Miriam calls home and how Jerusalem was hit harder than most cities after the arrival of the horsemen.
Miriam as a character is very admirable. As a weaponsmith, Miriam knows her way around a bow and was fearless when she first crossed paths with War on the battlefield. I also love how she does not back down from a fight and let anyone, including war personified, push her around.
“War”’s plot structure is very similar to “Pestilence”’s, meaning that everything I adored about the development of the romantic relationships in book 1 is mirrored in book 2. And like “Pestilence,” as soon as I started reading “War,” I could not put it down. Moments where Miriam and War shared the same pallet under the stars, rode on the same horse together, traded weapons, and took care of each other tugged on my heartstrings. Watching War and Miriam slowly surrender to each other was everything.
