Anyone got any good (and preferably long) marichat fics I could read? With possibly a couple scenes of them just hanging out in Marinette's room and doing domestic bestie things for a while, or maybe a reverse love square where they actually hang out with each other a lot, or maybe Chat saving Marinette from an akuma or something. I know you have an au where Ragana loses her powers and redeems herself, but have you considered Ragana inheriting Nocturas powers and title? Kind of like how Emily became the Guardian of Light. She could still get a redemption arc, but one more focused on keeping balance between light and darkness. Idk I just like the idea of darkness not as a corrupting power, but as a type of magic with just as much capacity for good as evil.

I have seen that idea bounced around, and it seems to be the more popular choice of events over on the wiki when it comes to passing the torch and Ragana being Emily's mirror/polar opposite

What if the story just... gave Ragana all the power she could ever dream of? I'd love a season that expands on the polarity between Ragana and Emily; where Emily has many allies to fall back on but little experience with actually using magic, Ragana has had many years of magic experience, but few, if any, supporters in Elvendale

I want to see Ragana become stunned after a power trip by just how much power she really has now. We know that Ragana wasn't really turned evil by the fountain, it was Noctura prodding insecurities and telling Ragana what she wanted to hear. Without Noctura whispering to her and stroking her ego, Ragana really has nothing in all her power, but doesn't know anything other than solitude and power

I want Emily to fumble her powers and receive help from supporting characters. We know she has familial connections to powerful Elves, she could ask Skyra or Cronan to help her control her magic. Go on a tour to find the Fire and Water sisters so they could give her new perspectives on her position and insight to how her grandmother handled her powers

I want Ragana to go on increasingly devastating crusades to compensate for how miserable she is

I want Emily to bring up her concerns about being a guardian and the situation with Ragana to Cronan, because by god I want him back in the story as family Emily can relate to and be helped by

Cronan recognizing that Ragana's path is becoming eerily similar to his mother's and brings this up to Emily

Because it seems like Elvendale has some equivalent to divine punishment a-la getting trapped if you misuse/abuse magic too much, I'd like to see Ragana have a moment where she's about to be trapped in her crown or something. Emily can do nothing but feebly try to help with her unreliable magic. Her friends all got taken out of commission in the confrontation beforehand, so they can't help her

And just as Ragana's about to get KO'd, and Emily's magic wanes, Cronan steps in and helps Emily pull Ragana from the brink
