Ahhhhhh!! Thank you thank you thank you this means so much to me to hear! As for my background in fashion…

I am sorry to say I actually have basically 0 actual background in fashion aside from watching almost every season of project runway as it was airing (dropped off a few seasons after Tim and Heidi left) and a long standing appreciation of fashion as an art form.

I’ve never been particularly fashion forward or stylistically adept and I would say pretty much up until I started college I was pretty. Unstylish. Anti-stylish? In my own wardrobe. Nowadays I actually mostly present in way that leans more butch and I do have a defined style I’m both comfortable in and actively enjoy, but it’s very very different from what I like to draw and design.

As the internet evolved it became a lot easier to find stuff and for the past mmm five or so years I try to keep up with the seasonal runways, a lot of which you can find literal photos and recordings of on Vogue.com. Couture is… deeply fundamentally different from “ready to wear” in that it’s often simply unwearable in everyday life, but I think the way it emphasizes certain shapes, forms, and movement is, simply put, absolutely fucking sick (it is however not without its problems as in my experience mmm some Couture fashion folks can be extremely pretentious and intolerable 🙄 not to mention the space itself is highly inaccessible, favors certain features/body types/skin tones, and is inherently classcist, etc etc)

To keep up with what’s currently “fashionable” (as in what people are actually wearing) I honestly just scroll through Instagram to see who’s wearing what and going through different tags and knowing keywords for what different groups elf describe as helps. “#streetwear” is gonna give you a different feed than “#it girl” is gonna give you a different feed than “#office fit”. I also like to scroll through instas and tumblrs that are literally just interviews and photos with random people op finds out in the world- you see personality in how things are put together in specific. What makes a look personal to them? What is practicality and what is fashion, and how much of each does each individual desire? I don’t think everyone is the same kind of Fashion Forward (or even is fashion forward) and I think it’s fun to find different niches and mix and match while still applying design theory Ive learned elsewhere. Even a character who is specifically Not Fashionable is that way in a specific sense, and could still have an appealing design. Also studying fashion at all gave me the ability to draw fabric which is a huge skill.

Without saying too much about my actual job, I am not a character designer at the moment, but I do think having this general knowledge of costume design and vested interest in keeping up current fashion (both ready to wear and couture/runway) is extremely important in my profession and wish it was more emphasized as I think it would be. Very helpful. The character design in Apple TV’s/Skydance’s Luck drives me absolutely bonkers because it sucks so much and the main characters looks like an old navy ad circa 2010. The same could unfortunately be said for our fav girl Marinette. She’s allowed to be less aggressively Fashionable because she is in fact a child, but I’d love to see a bit more attention to detail and understanding of what teens wear nowadays, let alone what they were wearing even 5 years ago. Her look was a tiny bit dated when the show was first released, but it’s even more egregious now. Not that they’re going to change it anytime soon but they had an opportunity in the movie to at least play with proportions since the jacket’s.. cut I guess and pink capri jeans are the most egregious. Maybe I’ll do a redesign that keeps the general idea/pieces in tact… idk. God. Please character designers learn fashion.

Hi! I don't know if u have answered this in the past or not because I couldn't find a post about it, but I was wondering maybe undertakers lockets originally belonged to claudia herself, because all the dates on the locket are between 1830 and 1866( except Gilbert d that some say that the date is 1884 but it can also be read as 1862). I don't know,maybe she gave them to him before her death and he added her locket after she died, because if the lockets belong to him than why isn't any more lockets after 1866? Anways, just wanted to know ur thoughts on this

Hey Anon ! Thanks a lot for searching before asking, I really appreciate it! And nope, I don't think I ever answered a similar question (here's my tag for anything related to UT's lockets). :))

So, I don't know how long you've been around in the fandom, but there was once a huge debate about the date on Gilbert's locket and it turns out that both dates seem to exist in official concept art (1862 and 1884), which means ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that anything is possible depending on which date is actually correct.

More than Gilbert's locket though, the locket that makes me believe that these are UT's lockets (and not, say, Claudia's), is because of Molly/Mally's locket, because she died in 1837 and Claudia was 7 years old back then so... just on a vibe check, this locket and Claudia's (although you're right, he could have added it afterwards) make me think that these lockets always belonged to UT.

I have no real proof, it's just one of the many things we still need answers about so, for now, anyone's guess is as good as mine. :))

However, Gilbert's and Molly's lockets aside, I personally find it interesting that these lockets might all be acquaintances/evil nobles/victims of UT or Claudia during Claudia's time as the Watchdog (especially since I think UT was the previous Earl Phantomhive):

Oliver A. died November 13, 1840

Emile C. died June 18, 1848

I mean we always assumed that in this scene of ch35, UT was mentioning that he made similar remarks to our!Ciel, Vincent and Claudia, but for all we know he also meant that he warned all his lockets.

Another theory I once had/discussed with other fans was that Alex B's locket is actually Bravat's grandparent, which could help explaining how he ended up involved in this arc. Far-fetched for now obviously and anyway, until Yana's answers, all we can do is guess, hahaha. :)

Hey! I recently found and read your Regina/Emma fics, and I'm honestly so much more invested in the universe you created (and essentially characters) than I thought I'd be! I'm so obsessed with their relationship and dynamic (the scene in the second part YMTM has me feral. Regina on her knees, worshipping Emma's feet and saying she likes young girls' feet.... ohmygod... literally what I would do to b Emma lol...) But I have a question: would Emma and Regina would engage in period sex? They both seem to have at least a bit of a blood kink, and they're so obsessed with each other that I don't necessarily see Regina (at least) being totally disgusted by it? Like if anyone's having period sex, it's lesbians, and I think the intimacy of it is definitely a selling point. Also, since blood is used in like.... magic/blood magic and manifestation and all that, and I've heard/read that having period sex can result in some type of soul-bonding/tie if the intention is there, and I feel like Regina would be so fucking into that (tell me if I'm wrong tho lol). So I just wanted to know your thoughts on this? If R and/or E would be into this? Did E hear of this through TikTok/internet? Would one need to convince the other? In regards to period sex, I feel like that it wasn’t even a discussion about whether they were into it not - it was just assumed that it was totally fine. 

When they first started sleeping together/seeing each other, Regina got her period first. They were in bed, just about to get into it when Regina got up and went to retrieve some dark towels to lay them on the sheets. Emma was confused for a moment and Regina just said;

“Period.” 

And Emma was like; 

“Ah, good thinking, Mommy.” 

Then they just continued to make out until they ended up having super messy sex. 

In some ways, I think they both enjoy it more. Since Emma had painful periods for most of their relationship, Regina was always happy to give her an orgasm to relieve some of the pain if she needs that. Emma likes how wet and messy period sex can be, and how Regina is so horny that she’s almost feral when she’s on her period. Considering that Emma literally drinks fluids from Regina’s body in the form of milk, it’s not that far of a reach for them to like go down on one another whilst each other is menstruating etc. 

I’m not sure they see it as a type of ritual or magic per se, but it has definitely makes intimacy better and healthier. I think the soul bondage really came with the breastfeeding stuff, and once Emma fully started doing that, Regina knew that they were tied together by some unknown force in this life-time and the next hahaha.  To answer the second part of your message - yes! Emma is just as tapped in the head as Regina is. We’d all love to THEORETICALLY have a beautiful older woman stalk and be obsessed with us, but in reality, that would be totally awful and scary. i read chapters 1-5 (half way into 6) last night and here are my initial thoughts:

i loved !! the writing…the way u write hadrian is so fun and i like the contrast to harry bc,, harry is an absolute slob compared to hadrian and he's so fun to read!1!! i love the choice of having him go to beauxbatons and i'm just imagining him in the uniform bc its so pretty.

IDK what you meant by "forgive the first lot of chapters and their quality" because its really good !! the only qualm i have is that the setting is a lot to take in for the first two chapters. i've actually had a hand @ it before and i was a little overwhelmed with the world (i wasn't truly ready at that time for its sheer magnitude of magnificence) and i wasn't dedicated to starting it off so !! i'm glad i gave it another try.

i really like the characters & ur ocs ! jacob and hadrians fwb relationship is really fun and so is his banter w raina.. i like claire so far and i do hope to see more of her !!1!!! which im guessing is the case for all of them. . hopefully. (am i attempting at foreshawdowing my predictions in ur own fanfic?) it physically. hurts me. to read hadrian not open up to jacob because of lily and his situation in general….. which slides me into the next topic i'm talking about.

lily gives me. extreme iffy vibes like,, not 'i want to punch her in the face' but its still wrong. her parenting gives off a lot of 'raising a soldier' vibes imo and its bad,, hadrian shows it by not opening up at all like i said earlier. i've seen a few responses & asks about it on your blog so i assume it'll be something that'll be addressed later on in the fic. i do think that she's a good step forward from the dursleys, however, still not perfect. + i think harry would have had a lot more passion for studying /learning (like hadrian) and learning knowledge if he hadn't lived in a household where they shut him down whenever he asked questions/had curiosity about something

there's a lot of plot questions with voldemort and the triwizard tournament etc that i have and i hope to see being answered later on!! like the year the tournament is set in (was the year harry turning 17 intentional?) etc etc. i have bets that hadrian's 'blank paper' trick is going to backfire. hard. and he's going to be the champion for beauxbatons etc etc last id like to say (chapter 6): i like how you had harry & hermione meet each other !! they are full on interrogating istg and its so fun.. i wonder if ron will appear ?? i have guesses he probably wont because ron is extremely average from an objective standpoint. anyway !! im very hooked into the fic and hope u have a great day :>>> i probably wont say something as huge as this next time i check in because this was just.. first impression thoughts and ALOT !!

I'm very eager to see how your thoughts on characters or events change as you go - it's making me really nostalgic in a way. And some of the things you've picked up on are making me clap my hands in excitement because ~foreshadowing~ and I'm insanely proud that I managed to keep the plot on track enough that even elements from those first chapters end up paying off down the track!

i don’t think i have an actual opinion… i’ve read about different people saying that they freely decide to wear a hijab — just as you said, and that they’re comfortable doing so. so i wouldn’t say they are controlled by their religion, they’re just following a .. tradition ? forgive me if it’s not the right word, as i said pls educate me if i’m wrong. and they can even wear them if they like them, i think no one outside them should have a say on the matter.

as a child i used to be very fascinated by hijabs because i found them beautiful, so i never thought of them as strange or odd. and even now, i don’t see them negatively. if u care about my opinion on hijabs in general, haha.

i’m not gonna lie about this, i’m pretty ignorant when it comes to religions ( and i distanced myself from “mine” for personal reasons ) but i don’t judge people from their beliefs and such.

hi babes ! sorry it took me a bit to get around to answering this ! thank you so much for such a sweet message AHHH ! i actually took creative writing my senior year of college as an elective and it was SO fun so hopefully you have a blast taking it ! also so excited that you're getting into writing your own fics, it can definitely be a gratifying experience. even though i feel like i'm not qualified to give writer advice, some thoughts are under the cut LMAO <3

my initial thought is gonna sound so unhelpful, but i read this quote / saying somewhere and it's stuck with me since: just write and keep writing after, even if you hate what you write. and the reasoning that came with the quote is that you already have 100 percent more to work with than if you were to write, hate what you produce, and then stop until you feel 'good enough' to go again. you can always revise, you can always edit, you can always delete and rewrite, but you'll have something to work with. this is something i really struggled with in high school when i was really getting into writing.

obviously you don't want to push yourself into a state where you develop an unhealthy relationship with it, but it's just a little encouragement or motivation that i used to remind myself of when i would get in a funk.

some random technical (?) advice in no particular order:

use pinterest for writing prompts, templates (for world building, character building, plot structuring), creating moodboards for your projects, etc. pinterest is my holy grail for writing both fanfiction and regular fiction / personal projects. possibilities are endless with miss pinterest.

said and says can get repetitive, yes, but they are still very useful. if you try to swap out said and says with too many alternatives, you run the risk of compromising reading flow and sounding a little too wordy.

in that same vein, try out different word choices, but be careful with which ones you choose! sometimes (like with said and says), writers will use a thesaurus and pick the 'smartest' sounding word and then it ends up throwing off the way the sentence reads...if that makes sense...i'm rambling now lmaooo

in regards to your specific question about my process:

i'm literally so all over the place. sometimes i'll think of a really cool title and then just run with that.

other times, i'll think of a conflict and craft a plot around the conflict and build outwards.

sometimes i'll already have my ending in mind and backtrack all the way to the beginning. then i'll the time to flesh out the foundation.

i also listen to a lot of music. if you go through my masterlist, you'll probably peep a lot of song titles hahaha. i usually use music as a way to feel out a vibe or write using inspiration from the lyrics.

as mentioned above, i love making moodboards and perusing pinterest !

also, this may sound lowkey crazy, but i love writing as if i'm describing scenes in a movie. or maybe directing a movie? i'm a very sensory person, so i try to make sure i include most, if not all, of the senses when constructing these 'scenes'.

and finally!

just have fun! in both the creative writing class and online, don't let outside pressures like your peers, numbers, or other things get in the way of you creating what you love and being apart of a community. it can be difficult and a little isolating at times, but no matter what, just remember what you went into your endeavors looking for!

HIII MERRY CHRISTMASSS MWAH MWAH!! i hope your holidays have been well :) ive been having so many thoughts recently and i just gravitate to your work when i feel like i need to empty my brain and just rot in peace HAHA anywayss to answer your question, here are the things ive baked this year:

strawberry galette---its easy and so good! you should definitely try it, you can use different fruits too!

vanilla sponge fruit cake---for my friend's birthdayyy, it was so fun decorating the cake with homemade icing with her

taylor swifts chai sugar cookies---my friends and i made them to celebrate getting tickets to the eras tour

strawberry shortcake muffins---absolute chaos, my friends and i did the blind, deaf, and mute baking challenge but 2 of us were deaf because theres 4 of us! muffins came out..edible

tiramisu---does this count because its technically no bake hahaha! turned out to be my most "popular" one. the recipe i use doesnt have alcohol so my aunt who doesnt drink is always asking me when im making it so that she can reserve a little box for herself :)

craziest thing is that i did all this without my own mixer or oven! im amazed that my love for baking has allowed me to connect with my friends more! but i cant be baking at their houses forever.. im super lucky to have gotten a mixer as a gift and my family is looking to buy a new oven :) theyre going to be getting sweet treats all the time starting next year! i also achieved a new years resolution goal of mine which was to bake at least 3 new treats!

aww its okay, maybe youll be able to bake when you have access to a nice oven :) oh yeah definitely take credit for that bread haha!! bread is a territory im super intimidated by so ive only tried it a few times. 2 of which had me kneading the dough for hours past my bedtime LOL also no need to apologize about talking about your bf HAHAH love that for you! im taking about my friends in these asks ALL THE TIME and its so funny when i think about it because its always the 4 of us girls doing random stuff together! but i love spending time with them and im sure you feel the same way with your bf too! have the merriest christmas pookieee i would love to know what youre doing this holiday season :)

this is so late and i am terribly sorry but my friends (+ k) and i did a little roadtrip together which was a lil stressful but also very fun! and for new years i spent the day with my family and we had fondue :) and then my bf had to go to the er and that was very very stressful so then we spent a decent amount of time just cuddling in bed lololol and now i’m back at sch**l

well, i wrote R killing to cope just to show more that she is basicly fucked up. just like R said to Nat, that anybody has potential to be a monster, they just need the right push. So in my imagination, it's kinda like Love in You series if i'm not wrong, R is actually compulsive and it takes only 1 kill to make her do it again n again whenever she is emotional. I imagine R is angry n maybe deep down after she accidentally killed Wanda's dad she felt good about it. so she killed more n more until she doesnt feel bad about her victims n get used to it. I hope this answer doesnt confuse u n i hope it makes sense.

So R is fucked up in mind, compulsive and obsessive n she never really get some love even from her parents. So when she loves someone, she would literally do anything for them. that's what i have in mind about R.

I imagined sometimes R kills someone innocent but mostly someone who annoys her.

Right after finish reading the piece I confess I was like- I really need to read a second part to it but then you asked for ideas for a pt2 and I couldn't came up with anything since I understood that the way you ended it was totally befitting with the reality, like the character's feelings were really accurate and u did an amazing job with their fate (it's an angsty story overall) and yeah, I mean, It would be nice if u came up with something, it wouldn't be bad at all but idk, just wanna say that i think ur writing is really impressive and I hope u know how much of a good writer you are. I'm patiently waiting for the next pieces of the sour series btw.

shower thought i had while literally in the shower: in your opinion, are there any of the dabis/touyas that could do a long distance relationship with their baby? like, she has to go across the world, they cant just plan an hours long drive to meet up with her, type of long distance. for the sake of this, let's also assume that the reader HAS to go, to like, collect her inheritance or something lmao. would they be able to handle not having her there or would it be too much to handle for them?

touya-nii would drop everything and go with her, no ifs ands or buts about it, like he absolutely would not be able to be away from her and there’s no way he’s allowing her to go halfway across the world for an extended period of time without him. poison!dabi is the same as touya-nii; there’s absolutely no way he’s letting his baby out of his sight regardless of the circumstances. he WILL find a way to go with her, he does not care.

it would be difficult for bmb!dabi, but he’s nothing if not persistent and stubborn (and me, being the hopeless romantic i am, believe in ldr’s being more than possible), and he would figure out ways to work around it. he’d be calling her, or facetiming her, literally every day. expect a LOT of phone sex, sexting, and falling asleep to the sound of his deep, steady breathing, or his rumbly humming, or his soft almost coarse whispers to himself as he works while she sleeps <3 he just wants to feel close to her, and she wants nothing but exactly the same. he’d be almost clingy in a way, but because he’s being so vulnerable and open and raw, and because it’s evident that he’s being this way (through his stuttering, the way his voice trembles ever-so-slightly, the way he pauses for an abnormal amount of time as he tries to work out the sentence he wants to say in his head, as he tries to mold his feelings into voiced thoughts) he gets away with it, because it’s more endearing than anything else <3

when it comes to the twins, twin!touya would be able to handle it and twin!dabi wouldn’t. or, at least, twin!dabi would have a much more difficult time dealing with it. twin!touya is confident and trusting, and he knows she’ll come back to them no matter what. twin!dabi knows this too, he swears he does, but it’s more difficult for him to silence the sharp voices insecurity conjures up in his mind. still, he’d let her go, because touya would force him to, but he’d be even more clingy than bmb!dabi would be, walking the line of obsession until touya finally tells him to calm down and cut it down a little <3

His party had ended hours ago, the limited guests are already gone and the two of you winded down, relaxing beside each other on his old, satin couch while “Your Name” plays on the television—although you aren't watching any wear near as much as you claimed to be when Jisung asks you. Your eyes choose to focus on your best friend, the birthday boy, clad in a black t-shirt, a fluffy jacket stacked atop, and a beanie he was too lazy to take off. He looked far too much like boyfriend material to not be your boyfriend. The audacity.

“Hey [Y/N],” Jisung murmurs to you, pausing his constant tossing of popcorn into his mouth to speak. You hum, dragging your eyes away from the TV screen illuminating your faces. His eyes drop to your lips for a moment, an action you’d noticed your best friend committing more often than usual recently. “Have you had your first kiss yet?”

The question takes you by surprise, and a faint blush takes over your cheeks, even with the blue hue that the small flat screen emits. “No,” you say truthfully, licking your lips. “What about you?”

He nods, but his doe-eyes are focused on your plush lips instead of your eyes. You wonder what goes on in that head of his, yet at the same time, you’re too engrossed in what it would be like to kiss him. The movie you two had been watching—one he’d seen so many times, but you indulged in his need to rewatch it because it was his birthday—long forgotten in the background, remaining nothing but a quiet humming acting as white noise as the two of you are surrounded by a thick, awkward silence.

“It’s my birthday,” he starts slowly, eyes boring into your sparkly ones, “I still have a birthday wish, right?”

You nod, biting your lip as your blush deepens, “You have two, actually.” He almost laughs, because not only are you right for pointing out his incorrect math—he had three wishes every birthday, and he’d only used one to get you to watch this movie with him—but because you look so flustered in front of him. “Why?”

He crawls over the couch, closer to you, and places one of his gentle, soft hands on your hot cheek. With a slightly goofy smile, his forehead presses against yours while his eyes fluttered shut. “I want to use one, but I have to ask first,” he chuckles to himself, “If I kissed you right now, would you punch me? Because I really want to kiss you, but not if you’re going to punch me.”

Your breath hitches, heart thumping so loud you’re positive he can hear it. You'd always loved Jisung—before you even knew what love was. He was always by your side, and you were always glued to his, despite whatever you or the other was going through.

Stuck in your thoughts, you don't realize Jisung’s been waiting well over twenty seconds for you to answer him. “It's fine if you don't want to kiss me, I understand—”

In a flash, you snap out of your trance, gripping his hand softly in the smaller one on your cheek. “I want you to kiss me,” comes out of you in a whisper, large, sweet eyes that held the galaxy in them peering into his.

He smiles, whispering against your lips, “Close your eyes,” allowing his own to fall shut.

He doesn't waste any time after speaking those words before pressing his slightly chapped, but supple lips against yours, giggling. You go stiff at first, unsure what to do and how to do it. His sweater drapes off his frame, tickling your sides with the cool metal of the zipper, his hair brushing your forehead lightly, eyelashes like feathers against you every time his eyelids flutter.

“Just pretend you're kissing your boy band posters,” he jokes, still softly connected to your mouth.

It's as if that statement reminded you that this was still Jisung—although it was hard to forget because the only way to describe the way he was kissing you was that it was wholly and utterly Han Jisung. It felt eager but gentle, playful, romantic, a little clumsy, and even a tad dramatic with how slowly he drags his left hand from your face down to your waist, hovering over you as you lean back into the couch arm.

This is better than all those books and stories, you decide, melting further into him. It's better because it's real and you can taste the long-forgotten popcorn and candy on his lips. It's better because you can feel the gentle pressing of his fingertips along your jaw. It's better because you can hear his movie playing and you can smell the cheap cologne mixed with his brown sugar and cinnamon soap that you love so much wafting off him. And of course, it's better because Jisung’s feelings are all dancing along your lips, from how much he cares for you to how much he's enjoying this moment as well.

Right now, the world seems unreal, just you and him, content together. Instead, the world feels perfect and warm, and even though it's a breezy autumn night, it feels like a warm, sunny day. The world could freeze like this forever and you wouldn't dare complain.

You know you're not doing nearly as much work as he is, but with how he sighs contently every once in a while, you figure you’re doing enough for now.

Jisung seems to have other plans as he presses into your mouth more desperately and needy, pulling a bit at your lip. You shudder under him, all of this new to you, right before he swipes his tongue gently over your lip. You react in instinct, gently parting your lips, and he can't help but stifle a giggle at how giddy he feels to be with you like this.

Swearing you could stay like this forever, only you and him, lips locked in nothing but pure and innocent love, you have to finally pull away. You'd never wished you didn't need air as much as you did now.

His head falls into your shoulder, his chest heaving ever so slightly because of how hard he resisted his need for oxygen. Empty, cold hands find your warmer, smaller ones, and intertwine your fingers, pulling them to his lips happily and placing a chaste peck to your knuckles. “That was… Wow. Are you sure you've never kissed anyone?”

You catch your breath gradually, shaking your head, “That was my first,” you chuckle, your free hand coming to brush your bottom lip, a large grin breaking out on your face. “And yeah, wow.”

His other arm wraps around you tighter, pulling your head off the armrest and onto the worn-out cushion. He flips you two sideways so he lays against the back, you wrapped tightly against his chest. Your [H/C] locks brush his face gently, and he finds himself tucking his nose into it contently.

“I have one wish left.”

“What do you wish for?” Cuddling into his arm, you can't stop yourself from inhaling his warm, comforting scent.

“I…” He trails off, gathering his courage, “I want to be more than your friend, [Y/N]. I want to kiss you and hold you like this all the time.”

“I really, really like you. It might even be more than liking you at this point,” he pauses, closing his eyes gently, “I want to be your boyfriend. Can I?”

“Well...” You start, inexplicably overwhelmed with joy, your cheeks turning rosy and your smile bright, “It is your birthday...”

“Is that the only reason? Not even because I'm a good kisser?” You can't see him, but you can hear the pout on his still swollen lips. “[Y/N]~!”

“And because I really, really like you too, Sung.”

His face stuffs further into your hair and you wiggle closer to his chest, playing with your interlocked hands, eyes crinkling happily.

“I can't wait to tell Hyunjin I got a hot girlfriend before him!”

“Han Jisung, I will break up with you this instant if you keep talking about Hyunjin.”

He shuts up quickly, pushing himself up so that he's partially upright, and leans down to brush your forehead with his lips, “Can I kiss you a little more instead?”

what abt a reader who is rlly excited abt alchemy, but they avoid talking abt it bc they start rambling and stuttering and stumbling over their words bc they're so excited? they get assigned/asked to go w/ albedo bc they're rlly good at alchemy too, but they end up fidgeting a lot, muttering and stopping just a few words in before their volume rises and giving short answers when w/ him bc they're afraid of rambling (since they do it to think better when alone, sometimes insulting and arguing w the objects when they don't get the expected result) & being seen as annoying or unprofessional?? i'd like to see how he reacts to these and what he'd think!! and how or when he discovers the reason reader is acting like that

Albedo working with a Reader that's highly enthusiastic about alchemy but insecure about rambling... (masterlist)

You dealt with Alchemy a year before the Kreideprinz entered Mondstadt, your attunement to the mystic arts baffling and intriguing you every time. During that period, you're not really sure of what art you're doing but in the end, you kept doing great that the people had acknowledged your talents.

Through your own effort and self-study even if unnamed, you managed to put your talent into this art of Alchemy and created discoveries regarding powders and mineral-focused ingredients. It was a shame there was no one to share it to, and when you talk to scholars/practitioners alike, you end up rambling so much to the point that on their end you barely make sense. Whether this was caused by your eaten words or lax and personalized vocabulary over the matter, you're not sure.

Their confused and judgmental stare haunts you, leaving you alone with your raging thoughts and overworking mind when you just want to learn and expand your discoveries to other people without driving them away. Your enthusiasm is great and all, but it's not enough to make others understand.

So when the Chalk Prince entered Mondstadt, blessing the city with his scholarly knowledge and boundless creations, he easily made a name for himself and in extension the city itself.

Before Sucrose and Timaeus, you were called upon by the Grand Master Varka to accompany Albedo and be his temporary assistant seeing as his field in the division is still quite new and you were the only other 'Alchemist' in town besides him. You're both giddy and nervous, like really, really nervous.

You've heard of Albedo and maybe a caught a glimpse or two, but you've never actually interacted enough to know exactly what he looks like or how he is as a person. All you know is that he's a very, very attractive person overall.

"Good-looking, carries this aura of wisdom around him, he's just really charming," were the words that rang through your mind as you pointedly watched your steps, following the carpets leading to Ordo Favonius' laboratory while Lisa's words rang through your head.

Is he really that kind of person? You've heard that he's quite stoic too, but if he's really that distracting, you're scared that it would be harder for you to focus and help out. Honestly how would you even deal with him when your fields of Alchemy are so different from each other?

You have no idea how long you've been thinking, standing in contemplation in front of the set of double doors that leads to the workshop with nothing but doubt in your mind. But upon realizing the teal gaze of another person silently waiting instead of wooden doors, you figured it was far too long.

"Ah, I'm sorry! I was in my head, I wasn't expecting you to-!" You flailed your hands around comically before abruptly stopping, noticing the now confused stare of Albedo of which are distracted by your hands. Clearing your throat, you extended a hand towards him to shake, trying to stare anywhere but his face. "I'm (Y/N), I'll be your assistant until you're well settled in the city. It's nice to meet you, Ma-"

His hand finds yours in a firm grip, a firm shake so sudden you bit your tongue back, "Albedo, Kreideprinz of the Art of Kemia, but just Albedo is fine, I'll be under your care."

Albedo finds it intriguing and surprisingly not that distracting whenever you talk to yourself or to the ingredients whenever you so much as feel the slightest frustration. "Ugh, this Zinc powder is so stubborn, clingy," you angrily mumbled under your breath as you washed off the blue powder that spilled at your hand, "So, so clingy." Since you're facing the sink, you couldn't see the way he was holding himself from laughing audibly at your amusing antics.

You seemed lively and open, is what Albedo thought when he first met you. But this observation soon shattered when he kept getting hanged upon your abrupt stops when delving into your field, something he was really irked about the first few times. Your art of Alchemy is much different from his and he's wishing that you'd clarify and expound all your learnings to him, but in the end, you somehow step back everytime your words became lengthy.

Are you hiding something? Did you not want him to learn the same arts as yours? If those were the case, he couldn't bring himself to ask a simple question such ad why. Every time it crosses his mind, it brings a purse of a pout to his lips and furrowed eyebrows.

Every response you gave always hints even tiny bits of trivias and tips he's never heard, Albedo always takes note of your spills that always cuts before reaching its climax. "-sorry, yes, this is activated charcoal Geo and Pyro slimes reaction." He lets out an audible sigh upon your retreat, your frustrated mind too occupied to notice.

"Please," his desperation drips in his word when he looks at you with eyes filled with raw emotion you'd never know he'd be able to pull off. Your tightly locked lips only pressed on further at his puppy eyes, "Please continue, I wish to know more about your Alchemy, if you would be so kind."

"It's not really- I'm not really the best at explaining it..." You're almost fidgeting, cheeks aching from tensing and warmth. But he regarded you with a blank stare, forcing you to fill the silence, "If I- If I start, my ramblings may not uhm they're not easy to comprehend... or something."

Albedo had been watching more than he'd like to admit, and he's come to relieved (yet still confused) realization that your treatment with him wasn't his alone. You always step back before things get lengthy, words then cutting short and concise with a steeled expression. Lips caught between teeth.

"I digress," his hand motions to yourself to emphasize his next clause. "As your field and sole practitioner of this art, like my own condition, your word of mouth is the best ground of knowledge."

If he was irritated, he's doing a very good job in hiding it. And even with the respectable yet close distance in between you still felt cornered. Sorry if this has already been rone but- could I get Bakugou, Todoroki, Denki and Izuku (separately) with a non-binary s/o who’s quirk is based off of a hyena? They have splotches of lighter skintone on them, freckles, laugh like a hyena, have sharp teeth and eyes like them? And a tail + ears? S/o is really chaotic, they live by the motto “I’ll try anything once,” and are overall very likable yet funky? tbh u kinda reminded him of Mina with ur personality

But he thought ur appearance was very cool

later on in ur relationship, you’d always feel him tracing the shapes of the splotches on ur skin, or softly scratching the space behind ur ears

he thought u looked so badass with those teeth though

u were wild but you weren’t careless

your attacks were precise and carefully planned during practice and he definitely noticed

even before u guys started dating, bakugou had already known almost everything about you just by observing

he noticed how your ears perked up easily

whether it’s excitement or during training

he loved watching how your pupils would dilate and how completely focused you’d look when on the battle field but if you’re just chilling?

your whole body is relaxed

oh and his favorite, favorite part is that if he teases you about things and you deny it, your tail will give it away

he figures that he won’t be able to go back to sleep anyways so he helps you move the furniture

like if you’ve still got to move your night stand, but your tail is starting to droop, he’ll just drag you to bed

HMMMMMMMM how do I do that indeed, the basics are honestly what you’d find on any basic tutorial about drawing a face (circle, cross in the middle of it, build the face around that - I really still can’t avoid that step and probably never will). As for the expressions, to be honest with you my way of going about them is thinking them up in emoji/kaomoji form first and then go from there. Emojis and kaomojis have to simplify expressions to the max since it’s such a simple format, right? But they’re still super expressive and convey exactly what they’re trying to say with one single glance, so using them as some kind of reference sheet has helped me a lot in figuring out what’s essential to express what I’m trying to say - still working on it though! I’m rarely satisfied with my expressions, they really do make or break a drawing don’t they............ you never stop learning, I guess!

Okay!!! No more interval chapters?!?!? Will there still be flashbacks or are you too much of a pantser? Do you consider yourself a pantser or a planner?? I love your writing style so much and have so many questions I don't know what the questions are. Like what do you do while you write??? Do you have tea, do you have the TV on, do you have music on, do write on a computer, your phone, or a notebook first???? Do you have an outline or just an idea????? Or do I really just overthink everything

ok i plead the fifth regarding whether or not there will be any more flashbacks because i dont want to give away more than i already have hahaha but yes there are no more interval chapters!

i would say i am a bizarre mix of a pantser (must say i love this word!) and a planner, i tend to have a good idea of where i want a general story to get to but can be a little hazier of the how we'll get there......i never sit down and start to write a chapter not knowing what I want it to cover though, i like to have a gestation period of thinking about the chapter and deciding what i want it to do, then i sit down and bullet point it/write out a summary of each scene. THEN i write. so even if i don't know what i want the NEXT chapter to look like, the one i'm working on is always relatively clear

when i write i have music on, really dependent on my mood, anyone whos seen my spotify or apple music profile/knows me even vaguely will know i have 150+ playlists kdjglkdfjg so it could be any one of them depending, though if i have decided i want to really blitz through a chapter i will put on something that i find easier to focus on like film scores/jazz or electronic but honestly that's...not really a hard and fast rule, i'm not bothered by music with lyrics when i work or anything like that so ye!

i will have tea or a beer jdflkgjdflg maybe a whiskey if im feeling like....in the mood to expedite the writing process lmao but generally speaking tea! of any and all kinds! i love that shit! i also love coffee but since i write usually at like 1am onwards i avoid as it is not wise to ingest it at that hour fkljgfdlkj

i never write on my phone omg even the thought of that makes me shudder nflkjgfldkjg i will write on my laptop or by hand if an idea strikes me when i am not near my laptop or if i'm struggling with a scene, usually it helps me to write it down! planning/notes usually by hand:) cause i scribble a lot of things and add stuff etc so yea

kind of answered this already but ummm for fic i usually am running mostly on an idea that is fleshed out a little into an outline, and always is with the next upcoming chapter. bwmh probably an exception because i planned out the way the interval chapters fell into the plot more thoroughly ! for my original work i believe nominally in the concept of an outline but im way more likely to just sit down and umm write whats popped into my head lol though i will know where in the plot that comes in:)
