hello, darling mermsy!! i’m back, yet again, with another brainrot proposal for you — but this time for our blasty boy!

we’ve heard of dekules, but are we ready for bakushang? shangkugo? (basically just katsuki as li shang, i’m realising only now that there’s no easy way to merge their names together <//3) they’re both tall, dark, brooding, but are soft and caring if you get through to them deep enough. our courageous, troublemaking Y/N and the newly appointed captain of the emperor’s army, bakugo katsuki! what a perfect match!!

i believe this isn’t by any means an original idea!! i know andy has a fic about this (it’s absolutely incredible, melted my brain just three chapters in) if u haven’t already read it!!! just wanted to get your take on this if u haven’t already done one yet, bc i recently rewatched the 1998 mulan and had the lightbulb to word vomit about this to you!!!

but okay let’s play, LOL. War Paint was one of the very first BNHA x Reader fics I ever read so I will always be fiercely loyal to it!!! Saying that, and I mean this with nothing but absolute love Andy, DONT @ ME, but reading War Paint gave me less Mulan vibes and more Song of the Lionness ones.

(Simplifying it—really simplifying it—a girl pretends to be her twin brother so she can train as a knight! There’s lots of magic and even some romance and Tamora Pierce has been one of my favourite authors since I was a kid!)

I think it has to do with the fact that War Paint is focused on barrack/training/castle life and the subplot with the thief—whereas when I think of Mulan, I think of war.

Mulan is one of my favourite 🅱️isney movies!!! I first saw it when my primary school had a fundraiser—they set up a projector and screened Mulan and I very distinctly remember being overwhelmingly excited as the opening credits started (I nearly choked on my red twists/twizzlers) and my Dad telling me I had to be quiet LOL. If I had to make a graphic showcasing all the fundamental pieces of media to both my personality and who I became as a person, Mulan would be centre of it. 🥹

(PSA: true to your heart is a bop and has been in my liked songs on spotty ever since i’ve had an account!)

Tbh, I’d never seriously tackle a Mulan-inspired fic just out of respect for Andie Trousers Multipled by Several, but if I did, I would absolutely play hard into the war angle LOL. Maybe even indulge in some war crimes!!! You know that scene where they finally make it to the village in the pass and it’s been burnt to the ground? Yeah. Yeah. 😌 I think we can ramp that up. Have our Reader and Captain Bakugou & Co engage in some Revenge War Crimes. People are bastards in wars already, without feeling justified about it. I was literally just watching a documentary the other week about some Aussie soldier who’s facing trial (has faced trial?) for being an absolute cunt—one of his lighter cruelties involved him shooting a family’s tied-up dog as he searched their home, so take that, take the power people feel like they have when you give them a weapon and a uniform, and then put them in front of a massacred village and see what happens next. 🔪

And idk id guess there’d be a romance in there somewhere too. 💀💀💀💀 tbh im more interested in the war tho LOL. (BECAUSE!!!! LISTEN!!! i like a challenge!!!!!!!! And I think trying to fic-ify an AU that dovetails closely to the (🅱️isney) Mulan tale brings up a lot of interesting questions when it comes to world-building, and like what you need to avoid/honour, especially if you’re borrowing from an actual, real world culture for it. The Mulan legend is Chinese, for starters—and My Hero has a Japanese cast written by a Japanese man. So, okay, maybe to simplify things for ourselves we Fantasy-AU it—but then do we eurocentric the world around them, to play it safe? Is that less playing it safe and more whitewashing? My Hero being Japanese informs the canon characters, which are traits that spill over into our fanon. Traits that we love! So is it a disservice to them to strip them of it, just so we can play War? Does this stripping make it worse when we bring in atrocities like slain villagers, and revenge acts? Do we honour canon by letting them keep their Quirks? How badly does that ramp up things then???? Like, idk, I could literally bang on about this for hours (and have, in the group chat LMAO im sorry besties 😭))

This is literally too much overthinking for your ask, Hansy, I’m sorry. 😭 ITS IMPORTANT THO. Because the world around them informs our characters!!!! So pretending we sort all that out, now we have our upstart, hot-as-shit Captain Bakugou, who has idolised General Toshinori for years now—and he’s out to prove he can train the best of them!!! Except he’s working with like, farm boys! Gutter-rats, given the choice of this or execution! Maybe there’s a cohort of like, genuine scrappers, but Captain Baku here has deliberately been given the bottom of the conscript list: this is a test. And I!! Personally!!! Think that should make him an utter bastard when dealing with our Reader!!! I think in canon, Bakugou is like, learning that people need more than to be told “u suck, do better” so I like to believe Captain Bakugou would try—maybe he and his lil friends learnt hard in a trial by fire when they were kids, during the First War—so he’s earnt this leadership role. But he’s used to fighting with peers! Peers that knew what they were doing! And now he has to oversee the training of like, the most inept civilians he’s ever witnessed! I think we could justify him losing his cool—specifically with our Reader. 😌

A Reader who doesn’t take it!!! I’ve always liked that in 🅱️isney’s Mulan, she does it for her father. So I’d give that same motivation to our Reader—a tomboy who’s always been better at giving the village boys a run for their money in their little games, who’s always wanted to go and play with them when they roughhouse. Maybe to make things more interesting, we introduce a fiancé—one of those same village boys! They grow up together, have an arranged match. Maybe he’s genuinely kind, in love with Reader whereas Reader’s just kinda like, ho-hum—but then the War pt. 2 rolls in, and he’s swept off in the first round of conscription (so that there’s no one left to volunteer in Reader’s place for her dad, in the next round!).

Oh. You know what? We could ramp up that massacred village scene by making his platoon or whatever they’re called the ones that were stationed there—so Reader finds fiancé’s helmet!!!!! And then she’s all like, omg, 😧. And then she could tie it to her saddlebags and eventually bring it home to his folks. 🥺

(Reader and Bakugou could prop themselves up in their grief, maybe? Because I know in the film the stationed army is overseen by Li Shang’s father, right? So maybe in this version it’s like, idk, Jeanist or Edgeshot or something. Maybe Endeavour? Less because I think Bakugou would be cut up about it, and more because that means we could throw Todoroki in there as well, like, presumed dead (and then he’s NOT because I know Andy would have my head if I killed off her Special Angel Man in a fic!!!), but then that means in the meantime that Bakugou can mourn one of his besties (and they are besties!!!)).

I don’t want a dumbass Bakugou, either, so I think we’d have to follow Andy’s lead and have our Captain clue in early-on that Reader has been lying about their identity. And Bakugou just admires tenacity so he’s less like omg my gendernorms are being called into question and more like FUCK why won’t this useless extra get better at FIGHTING??? That could also maybe make any romantic moments kinda interesting—Reader could have this whole internal thing of, oh my God, he doesn’t know the truth, I’m terrible, is he going to be embarrassed when he finds out??? And then you have the actual reveal—someone else making the discovery, and wanting Reader executed for it, and then Bakugou’s refusal to do so is less a begrudging “you saved my life, and now my debt is paid” and more a silent confession of his feelings!!!!

I just—there’s so much you could do!! There’s so much you could do with all of that!!! Urk!!!! I wanna rip into it with my TEETH. I just—aJFDLKSFJLKSDFJLdmfhfskdmhj.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 718,198

3. What fandoms do you write for? Doctor Who, mostly Paternoster Gang specifically, Star Trek Voyager, Guild Wars 2, Legend of Korra, and a few others.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

(since some of my Dragon Prince fics got hit by bots who kudoed and commented spam, I’m not counting those two…)

Songs of Love and Death – An alternate reality for Jenny and Vastra meeting under changed circumstances.

I feel your magic every time I'm with you – After the love potion wears off, Hecate is shaken. She had to observe everything she had done under its control without being able to stop it. When she transfers to her room and breaks down, she doesn't expect Pippa being there.

Spider Lin – Lin is patrolling Republic City at night and saves a certain someone…

Shirt (Or: Lilith coming out) – Lilith asks Eda to sit down with her; she wants to tell her something she discovered about herself.

Face Paint – Janai wakes up to find Amaya already awake and eating the breakfast that was meant for her. Amaya notices Janai's face paint is smudged since she went to bed without taking it off. Janai goes to fix it.

5. Do you respond to comments? Always! I cherish each of them and love talking to the community! <3

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? With the angstiest ENDING? I’d have to go for Until the dance ends… (I usually write happy-ish endings even to extremely angsty fics) Also The Girl of Silver ends on a fairly depressing note (but gods I still love the fic!)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I write loads of happy fics and happy endings, but among my longer (and finished) works, I'd say The Knight and the Dragon and A Lonely Place both have very sweet endings!

8. Do you get hate on fics? I think there was a bot commenting something about Jesus and how homosexuality is a sin dfhgjkjsfg But other than that and from actual users, no!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? No. I have written a few suggestive scenes and making out, but nothing going beyond that.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Uhhh… I have written one between the Paternoster Gang and the Victorian Torchwood crew, but that’s still in the same universe, so not really?

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of...

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I’ve translated a few of my own works, but apart from that, no.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, not yet.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? *looks at username* Jenny and Vastra. But within Star Trek, it’s hands down J7!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Gosh I have a post-One fic for J7 dealing with the isolation Seven felt for that entire month, and especially with her hallucinating Janeway. I would love to finish it, but my brain is soooooo eepy

16. What are your writing strengths? I like to think emotionality, especially sad ones, dialogue, and character work, and sweet, intimate scenes

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Brevity, action-based scenes like fights, descriptions of surroundings and visual input in general, getting lost in the characters' mental space too much

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Sure! But if you don’t know the language, get someone to help to make sure it’s correct.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Sailor Moon | Haruka/Michiru

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? One of my faves is definitely Butterfly Queen, and my Turn Loose the Mermaids series! For J7 it’s got to be my very first fic, I’ll sleep when I’m dead, though!

We’re going back to Innistrad, and oh thank G-d Magic is horny again.

INNISTRAD: MIDNIGHT HUNT + CRIMSON VOW

Welcome, indeed, to you who have traveled far across the sanitized wastes of Zendikar, the milquetoast art direction of Kaldheim, the mediocrity of plane after plane: here is a feral place, and a bloody one, of slavering predators and racing pulses, a place where the primordial twins of fear and lust are impossible to sever. Enter here, ye thirsty, and be quenched.

Oh, we are off to a great start. This is not only one of the hottest girls in this set (and definitely the one with the best hair, jesus), but also everything about this moment makes me feel protective - the apprehension in her expression, the conjunction of the knife and the bandaged arm, the fact that she is evidently attempting some sort of amateur summoning ritual with a salt circle and several raw steaks, which let’s face it, is not going to end well. The interplay between that feeling, then, and the mechanics of the card, which doesn’t really do anything until she dies, so you want to sacrifice her to some other card, is very effective. Yes, she only exists to die doing something instructively ill-advised, but she’s vulnerable, sympathetic, and really, really hot, so you feel something when she does. Art and mechanics working together! This is the kind of thing that makes Magic special. 10/10 would do something occult and ill-advised in a barn with her any night.

I don’t know, it’s like, am I over-intellectualizing this stuff? Like I see a beautiful woman and my immediate response is to interrogate the nature of my attraction to her, what’s going on there? [feather. antler. apple.] Shame, you think? Probably some of that, yeah, some internalized whatever or maybe just fear of the vulnerability that comes with saying desire out loud. Plus, I spent a lot of years back in the day reacting to bad experiences with kink & its practitioners by getting unnecessarily moralistic about sexuality. [acorn. bone. acorn.] Yes, very funny. But you’re right, subtlety is overrated, this whole project is just...publishing my desires (as entertainment, but still). Maybe I should only be writing this while pent-up and turned-on? Or maybe I should be more selective. Like, you’re lovely, and I really like that you seem to be a competent occultist, unlike my last, but I’m not feeling much beyond that. [bone. gem. feather.] I don’t... sorry, I don’t know what that means, could you - hang on, is that feather bloody? When did that oh my G-d I know what I need to do.

FOUR YEARS AGO

was when I reviewed the last Innistrad sets, Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon. And while I still retain my extremely justified bitterness over how that story fridged the hottest angel in Magic canon, I was definitely on some fucking brainrot at the time, like. Look at this bit from the intro:

Shadows over Innistrad block! but with none of the angels because Eldrazi corruption is viscerally distressing! no matter how many emotions i feel about Avacyn, the Purifier’s blood-soaked wings & solid black eyes! or Subjugator Angel’s vacant, fell glee!

You stupid child, me-of-January-2019, you idiot baby, you cretinous fetus, just because something is existentially horrifying doesn’t mean it’s not also really hot. What, were you worried about people thinking you were A Bad Feminist And Person because a fictional eldritch monster mindfucking a fictional girl angel into an insane blood-soaked omnicidal goth gets you hard? (Yes.) “Viscerally distressing” yeah, that’s what makes it good. It was hot, you knew it was hot, you even basically said it was hot, and yet you left the angels out of the review because you were a coward. Well, it is time to set things right.

ACTUALLY IT TURNS OUT THIS ONE IS INNISTRAD: MIND-CONTROLLED ANGELS WILL MURDER YOU AND IT WILL BE SEXY THE ENTIRE TIME

Free will can be such a weight, can’t it? Don’t you see how much happier she is like this, with no agonizing over moral complexity, no weighing and counterweighing relative measures of good and evil? We love the black armor and the black lipstick and the glowing eyes, but what really makes this good is the symbolism in the crumbling spear, the fraying edge of the loincloth. She is fighting a war for her mind, to keep hold of herself, of the only purpose she has ever had. And it is so much better when you fight...

...because when you lose, when your mind’s defenses are subverted against you, when your last panicked thoughts try in vain to survive the ravenous onslaught of who you have become instead, when you are at last the monster you struggled in vain against, the collapse is absolute. Spear broken, clothes tattered, hair and wings soaked in the gore of your children, your victims, your slaughtered sheep, and your eyes jet-black, void, and utterly empty of anything that was ever you.

I’m so sorry that I’ve been on my AOT brainrot recently really I can’t help it I’m just a girl who got in trouble in school for having an over active imagination (the undiagnosed autism and adhd combo)

But I was thinking about an au where the Titan shifters were dragon shifters and like because I started season 4 for the first time I was thinking specifically about Reiner and a little about Eren so…

The dragon shifters each have their own specializations, some are quick and stealthy meant for maneuverability, others (Like Reiner) are made more for breaking down enemy lines and strongholds, and some deal catastrophic damage through their magical abilities (fire/acid/etc breathing)

So literally just like the titans in the show but make it much cooler because it’s dragons and they have a larger spectrum of abilities

But wait there’s more!

The dragon shifters can also choose someone to form a bond with a person of their choosing that opens a link between the two allowing the person to channel magic from the dragon shifter

If this sounds familiar no it doesn’t 👀 okay I may have got it from Fourth Wing but guess what that’s pretty much Eragon and Throne of Glass so we role with it

Once the bond is formed the bonded can communicate through the bond in a sort of mind reading fashion, the non shifter may also present with a magic ability

How strong the magic of the non shifter doesn’t really depend on the strength of the dragon, it’s entirely dependent on them

A strong willed non shifter will present a stronger ability than a weaker one, simply because they can control the magic through the link better

And the nature of the ability is also dependent on the needs of the pair

For example, where Reiner has a defensive ability and he wouldn’t be as quick as others in his dragon form due to his thicker, harder scales I think his bonded would pick an offensive magic so they could take their enemies down if Reiner were overwhelmed

The whole point of the bond is for a Dragon shifter to reach full potential in battle, they can only use their innate magical abilities so it’s up to their bonded to mold their magic into something else entirely, so the shifters must choose wisely

I know Armin becomes a Titan shifter in season 3, but In this au he would be Eren’s bonded

Because Eren’s as hotheaded as they come and needs someone with a clear mind to help guide him

So choosing Armin was a strategic choice, I’ve always loved in the show how Eren and even Mikasa will default to Armin when making decisions because they know he can use the information they have and make clear concise judgments without emotions overwhelming him

He’s the perfect bonded for Dragon Shifter! Eren because he can watch the rest of the field of battle while Eren wrecks havoc and then decide where Eren would be needed the most

He’s also the only person capable of making Eren disengage and retreat

No shifter would ever intentionally put their bonded at risk, the bonds run deep and would have devastating consequences for the shifter if their bonded were to die, but in the heat of battle it’s easy for some shifters to lose focus on anything else even protecting their bonded

So Armin’s clear headedness and calm nature is the perfect antithesis for Eren’s rage, but Armin also developed Eren’s magic to be able to momentarily stop time

It’s not long, just a few seconds, long enough for Eren to get recentered if he needs to and Armin to relay information through the bond

Armin wouldn’t seem like it, but his ability is one of the stronger ones, even if he can only hold it for a few seconds at a time, buts it’s been enough to save them and their comrades on several occasions

The Shadowhunter Chronicles

M/F OTP: there are others I really like or love in a more normal way, but Emma/Julian Will/Tessa and Jem/Tessa are the ones that hit on another level for me emotionally, I’m clinically insane about them. Also it’s a bit hilarious to think about, since this was formative media for me (I first read TID in late elementary/middle school and TDA as they were coming out in high school) how my taste in ships generally speaking was shaped… like if you look at pairings I gravitate towards in other fandoms since there are def patterns xd. The impact!

Other M/F ships I have love for (including this category because ik i don’t talk about them as much and in another fandom where I had less dynamics I’m super fond of to choose from I could have placed them in that first category think of them as like second tier Otp’s for me ): Mark/Cristina, James/Cordelia, Simon/Isabelle (last one also was formative they were thee hot girl/soft boy nerd ship to me in middle school. But it has been a while so unsure if they’d hit the same on reread, they are the tmi couple I would most like to see in the better in black collection though!)

M/M OTP: Jem/Will! And then follow up Kit/Ty Surefire ways to get me invested in a ship: they do necromancy together, meet cute with a knife to the throat, they break up without ever dating. Triple check.

F/F OTP: along those lines it’s Lucie x Grace literally the main reason I want to reread TLH (well I do also just want to see how it reads back to back and not broken up and I have other reasons but like. Those are less important) is to be able to properly write fic about them, like it genuinely pisses me off this fandom is so boring and tasteless I can’t believe I actually miss the legacies fandom they were annoying as hell but at least they understood that when women do dark magic together it’s polite to write detailed analysis of how gay they are 😭. The way I know cc has seen Buffy too like flop. Also it just fits archetypes of antagonistic femslash I tend to love in general see: Julia/Marina Aria/Alison Elena/Rebekah and more

OT3: Herongraystairs and then Kierarktina

Friendship OTP: Tessa & Magnus + Will & Magnus! And for familial relationships I adore all The Blackthorn siblings in TDA and their dynamics but especially Julian and Mark’s relationship is v compelling to me and I also love Cordelia and Alastair’s relationship v much it was my favorite overall development in TLH. And then for psuedo familial dynamics I Love Charlotte’s relationships with Tessa Jem Will and Jessamine. her relationship with Jem might be my softest spot overall especially because they have moments in CP2 that make me go 🥺 but as a documented Tessa lover I adore how having Charlotte as a mentor figure effects her arc. So those are my favorites Ik I failed at picking just one. Oh I also adore Emma and Cristina’s friendship although I also sometimes ship them romantically

Canon OTP: Blackstairs Wessa Jessa like I said

Crackship OTP: what even counts as crackship? I will admit that during my CP reread I did look up how many Will/Magnus fics there are on ao3 although I did not read them (there are 12 for inquiring minds).

Anti-OTP: The worst ship to me is Jordan/Maia but it’s been a long time so the vitriol has worn off and I don’t have another solid notp besides them but the other canon pairings I’m #unimpressed with are Clace Ghostwriter and Gracetopher … Lucie/Jesse probably irks me the most these days because I actually want to like them because the concept is so good but the execution falls flat for me and I really like Lucie and want someone more interesting for her (like Grace lol.)

M/F OTP: ultimately when I’m actually watching the show it’s Jeff/Britta love their emmaxknightleycore vibes. But I did get really into Abed x Annie at one point and even wrote some fic about it over quarantine (when I first got into Comm) so I have a soft spot for that concept too

Aether

You’re a princess and he’s a prince of another country. Simple childhood friends that were promised to each other at a young age. It was only when you were older that you realized the two of you were to be wedded at a certain age. With that thought in mind, it was hard to interact with him without thinking about the fact that he was going to be your husband. Still, it wasn’t such a bad thing in your mind. After all, Aether had always been a prince who looked after you, and always had your best interests in heart. It takes you a while to realize that there’s something a little strange about Prince Aether and that he’s changed a little. You find out what it is as you stumble upon a room with a huge magic circle in it. You figure out that he’s trying to revive his twin sister, and he needs a human sacrifice. You fit all the required descriptions.

Albedo

A prince, but also a well-known scholar. His people don’t see much of him because he’s always locked up in his library, researching various things. The king and queen have tried time and time again to present various princesses for him to choose from. He refuses every one of them. He thinks they’re all just rich girls from rich families attending their rich dinners. No substance at all. Until you come along. You who told his parents that they didn’t need to arrange a dinner, you’d be the one to look for Prince Albedo in his library. So this book-loving prince was startled when you, a book-loving princess, accompany him in the library, partaking in his research and readings. He let’s his guard down, and the moment he does, his research papers disappear and you’ve disappeared along with them.

Bennett

The young, aspiring knight. He has all the energy a new recruit would have. Sparkly-eyed, determined and strong-willed. He’s actually a baron, but only adopted into the royal family so some people don’t really see him as a real royal. He doesn’t let that get him down though because he doesn’t see himself as much of a royal either. He’d rather be a knight, go on journeys and be given important tasks. You’re the princess that he serves and it’s not a crime to have a little crush on you right? Looking from afar never hurt anyone. It’d be blasphemy for a knight his rank to even think of talking to you.

Chongyun

He started off as an apprentice sorcerer in the palace. Eager to learn and serve. Years later he’s climbed the ranks and has become the High Sorcerer. He’s tasked to accompany you if ever there’s any business outside the country. You always try to ease his nerves by telling him to lighten up, but he takes his work of protecting you seriously. The attraction between the two of you is undeniable, but neither of you act on it because you know your parents would never approve. In a twist of fate, Chongyun ends up saving your life during a dangerous situation. Your parents decide to give him a fair chance to woo you. They arrange a battle royal, open for all sorcerers. Whoever wins may wed you.

Dainsleif

A prince that was already happily engaged to someone else. However, she was lost to an illness. He didn’t care if he was re-arranged to someone else, so that’s what happened and he was arranged to you. It was literally just an arranged marriage. Aside from the wedding day, you never even stayed in the same room as him. It was a miserable first few months for you, the other noblewomen started to whisper and spread rumors that the prince didn’t even love you and treated you like a maid. However, you put a bit more effort in getting to know him, and slowly, he realizes that he’d been treating you unfairly. Just when the two of you start getting closer, another princess shows up, and she looks exactly like Prince Dainsleif’s dead lover.

Diluc

Diluc automatically became the king when his father passed away. He watches over his kingdom quietly and does so diligently, day and night. People get the wrong impression of him as he rarely smiles. Still, he’s held in high regard as he’s at the top of the hierarchy. Before his father passed, one of his last wishes was for him to marry a particular duchess. It was just an agreement made between his father and yours. Diluc wanted to honour it. He, of course, just thinks of it as something that needs to be done. He doesn’t communicate well with others, including you. It’s a rather awkward marriage with a lot of silence, but you play your part as the queen and offer your assistance in any way you can. Pretty soon he starts to see that the support you give is quite valuable and an irreplaceable bond starts to form between the two of you. Imagine his shock when he finds out that your father was involved in the death of his.

Gorou

Grand Commander of the archery unit in the royal infantry. Everyone in that unit answers to him. He stands at the same position as the Grand Commander of the knights. You’re the princess of the kingdom he serves. One day, you mysteriously approach Gorou and ask him to teach you how to use the bow. He’s dumbfounded. “Pardon me for asking, princess, why are you interested in learning how to wield a weapon at all? You have us and the knights under your hands to protect you,”

“To protect me, or my father?” your question doesn’t make sense to him. In his mind he serves both you AND your father. It’s only later on that Gorou understands, when the crimes of your evil father are exposed, a resistance was made against him. Your father orders his royal infantry to kill all resistance members, but you’re at the heart of the resistance. It’s here that Gorou needs to decide if he serves you, or your father.

Itto

Leader of a bandit group. Some people just saw them as hooligans, but they were an organized group, able to execute their plans cleanly. Somehow and some way, you, a baroness, gets kidnapped by Itto. You’re terrified and instantly hate his guts. However, you find out that there’s a reason behind his planned kidnapping. He doesn’t plan to hurt you at all, and his members treat you with respect. All he had wanted was for the nobles to listen to his requests, his village is dying, caving under poverty and lack of resources, and yet none of the nobles have sent any kind of support to even help the village get up on its two feet again. You’re humbled by this encounter and make it a mission to try and help his village get the support it needed. You succeed in passing on Itto’s message, but you’re forbidden to ever see him again.

Kaeya

The carefree prince and brother of King Diluc. Seeing him gallivanting around town was normal and the townspeople loved his sociable energy. The two of you were childhood frenemies, always bickering since you were younger and even through your teenage years. Still, your mothers arranged the two of you into a marriage and you were not happy about it. Kaeya seemed to feel the same. He didn’t act like your husband for months, still going out to masquerades by himself and talking up noblewomen. One day, while he’s at a ball by himself, he gets poisoned. The only antidote is a flower from a neighbouring country which you immediately go to retrieve. The prince of the neighbouring country is evil and powerful. He says that you can take all the flowers you want, but you’ll have to stay in his country with him. You agree and pass off the flowers to the knights, telling them that Prince Kaeya is running out of time and it’s the only way. The knights comply and when Kaeya wakes up, all better, he wonders where you are. The knights proceed to tell him the whole story.

Kazuha

The princess’ personal guard. Not a knight, but someone who has to be quick on his feet and a master of the sword. After all, he’s the first responder if anything were to happen to you. He’s the one person who’s sat through all of your meetings. Went to all of your royal parties. Sits in the carriage with you. As such, you spend a lot of time with him. He’s rather gentle and unassuming. Doesn’t look like he’s deadly with a sword at all. The two of you have a certain attraction going on, but neither of you act on it because you know it would never happen. One day, your engagement is announced. Your parents have taken a liking to a certain prince. Kazuha has no say over it, merely continuing to serve you. Weeks before your wedding you’re taken hostage at a royal gathering. A dark sorcerer claims that he needs your blood, pure and untainted, to finish an ongoing ritual. Your soon to be husband turns tail and runs, not even giving you a second glance in order to save his own life. None other than Kazuha steps up to save you when everyone else had already fled in a panic.

Razor

Born to a poor family and never getting the education he needed, he struggles to communicate with others, but has very good fighting skills and a strong sense of survival. Both his parents died due to poverty and because he doesn’t fit in around town, he builds his own small house in the woods. One day as he’s returning home he finds a young lady passed out and scratched up at the trail leading to his home. Without thinking much of it, he picks you up and takes you home to nurse you back to health. When you wake up all healed you realize he doesn’t talk much and find out that he doesn’t really know how to read or write. He’s kind enough not to shoo you out of his small house so you decide that you’d at least teach him how to talk and read the language to repay him for saving you. A mutual friendship had formed between the two of you and he was thankful that you taught him so many things. You stayed at his for about a week, until one night, his house is surrounded by knights shouting “Give the princess back!”

Scaramouche

Dubbed “The Ruthless Prince”. He gets what he wants, whenever he wants it. Anyone who does him wrong will be executed and people didn’t doubt it because there’d been rumors of him keeping prisoners in the palace’s dungeons. So if he wants to marry a commoner, then he’ll marry a commoner. That’s what happens when he’s out one day on his horse and just spots you at a store. There isn’t really anything special about you, but you catch his eye and he points “That one, I want that one,” as if you’re some kind of toy in a toy shop. You’re whisked away and dressed in proper noble and princess clothing and realize that you’re going to be married to him, no questions asked. Your family will be given however much money they want. Your family doesn’t push you to do it, but your parents were far from rich and worked hard all their lives, you really wanted to at least give them a good life so you agree. It can’t be that bad right?

Tartaglia

The two of you were already engaged, just waiting for the long awaited day to come, a marriage of two countries. Despite it being arranged, prince Tartaglia spent a lot of his time getting to know you and finding out that you are exactly what he wants in a life partner. He cherishes you like no other. However, arguments and disagreements ensued between your father and his, and instead of the wedding going through, a war erupted between his country and yours, tearing the two of you apart. You find ways to exchange letters in secret, and plan to meet up in the woods at a certain date and time. What Tartaglia didn’t know was that his letters were being monitored. His father knew exactly where you were meeting and had already planned to ambush you.

Thoma

A kind and humble prince who treated everyone equally, commoners included. Your father is the royal family’s doctor and when you were of age, you start to accompany him to learn more about how to be one yourself. That’s how Prince Thoma meets you and is also how you get to know him better. Years later you’re engaged to him but life as a commoner turned noble isn’t easy. In any gathering, masquerade, ball or tea party, everyone looks at you as if you’re dirt under their feet. The noblewomen are particularly bad during tea parties, making you the target of their bullying. It proves to be too much, and you return to Thoma expressing that you didn’t want to go on with the wedding. He realizes he hadn’t been mindful enough of your struggles and tries to win you back.

Venti

Prince Venti was already engaged to you. He couldn’t quite say that he loved you, but he enjoyed your presence and was on very friendly terms with you. Other than you, Princess Sarah was a good friend of Prince Venti’s, and frequently visited Prince Venti’s palace. She was quite jealous of you, who seemed to come out of nowhere and gotten between her and Prince Venti.

Prince Venti was known to be a genius in the art of music and one of the palace’s prized possession was the holy lyre, passed on from generations and generations of nobility. One day, it goes missing, and is found to be hidden under your pillow in your bedroom. You have no clue how it ends up there and swear to Venti that you didn’t touch it at all. Nevertheless the evidence was too strong, the engagement was cut and you went from being a princess to a nobody real quick, shunned by royalty, shunned by Venti, and even by your own parents, disgusted by your crime. However, weeks later Venti finds out that Princess Sarah had been the one to take the lyre and put it in your bedroom, framing you for the theft.

Xiao

A prince, but also the grand commander of the knights. Formidable in battle and is always in the front lines of war. He didn’t care much for romance and is always busy with his knightly duties. Even for the announcement of his engagement to you, he was out leading the knights into battle. You see each other during the wedding day, after that, he’s off again. It’s like you’re not married at all, until one day his father forces him out of his knight duties. Xiao begrudgingly spends time with you but also secretly feels sorry that you’re wedded to him. He’s surprised though, because the first time he sits at the breakfast table with you, you were pleasant and didn’t even fault him for being away for so long. Instead you ask questions about him and try to get to know him more. Gradually he opens up to you but is needed in the front lines soon after. He’s reluctant to leave this time, eager to come back to you. Not even three days into his duties, he’s given an urgent request to come back to the palace. You’ve been struck by an unknown disease and it’s eating your life away.

Xingqiu

You’re a new recruit in Prince Xingqiu’s royal army. You were adept in the magic artes and they quickly realize you had the potential to be a high sorcerer. It doesn’t take long for you to get to the rank, possibly a few months, and you’re now tasked with the job of being Prince Xingqiu’s protector wherever he went. The Prince was warm and cordial, and treated you with the utmost respect and admiration. In return, you took your work seriously and watched over him closely. Over time the two of you built a friendship that revolved around trust. Xingqiu wouldn’t have to worry about his back if you were with him.

It’s one particular afternoon that you’re ambushed in the woods, the knights surround Prince Xingqiu’s carriage, protecting him and you start to put up a magic barrier around the knights. Before your spell finishes, you’re thrown towards the nearest tree trunk and pushed against it. Your captor states loudly. “Y/N, your job was to kill the prince, you incompetent fool. You’ve taken far too long, we’re taking matters into our own hands,” Xingqiu hears everything from the carriage, and by the time everything’s over and the knights have warded the enemies away, you were gone.

Zhongli

A wise, well spoken prince. Looks at everything objectively and does not get agitated easily. Also the grand commander of the lance fournies (basically knights on horseback that uses the lance instead of a sword). You’re already married to him and the romance the two of you had was just beginning to blossom. He cared for you more and more each day.

The kingdom was struck by an earthquake one night, although it only lasted a few seconds. Everyone thought that was the end of it, but the earthquakes became more frequent. Rumors and legends start to spread that the ancient dragon sealed underneath a large tree outside of town was starting to awaken again, and it was threatening the peace of the kingdom. Zhongli investigates and realizes that the rumors are true. The ancient seal was withering away and no one knew how to fix it nor defeat the dragon. However, the dragon speaks. In three days, the seal will break. The only way to stop it is to present it with an offering of its choice. The dragon chooses the prince’s wife to be the offering.

RULES:

- Please specify whether you want a Romantic or Platonic and Yandere or Non-Yandere character in your request.

- Be sure to always specify the gender of the reader and sexuality. If not, I will write a gender-neutral reader and decide on the sexuality myself based on the request.

- If you want multiple characters being with the reader, please use these words to describe better what you mean in the request: Polyamory, if you want the characters sharing to also be romantic with each other. And use the word: Sharing, if you want the characters participating in the relationship to only be romantic with the reader and not also with each other. (If you don’t understand my explanation, type below or message me and I’ll use an example to explain it better for you :))

- This also applies to platonic relationships. You’ll only have to tell me it’s platonic and use either the word: Polyamory, to indicate that the 2 characters are together but not including the reader. Or use the word: Sharing if the whole relationship is strictly platonic and no one is romantic with each other. Critical Role Predictions: Campaign 3 Edition

So I caught up with CR during quarantine, and now I have brainrot. This will be the very first time I start a campaign at the same time as everyone else. So for the future, my posts regarding critical role will be tagged as “CR spoilers”. I am sorry for everyone who follows me for something else. I am sorry that you have to witness the person I will become tomorrow. But I’m not going to apologize for becoming that person, cause nerdy ass voice actors playing DnD make me very happy. Also, no race predictions here. I just don’t have enough knowledge of what races the cast like to play and what they like about the races to make a prediction I’m happy with. With that, onto my guesses.

Ashley first. I think she’s gonna go with Paladin. Pike and Yasha were both heavy hitters very connected to their deities. I think Ashley enjoys giving damage, and the strong religious associations help her build her character. Of course, I could be wrong, Fearne didn’t have the religious associations, but it’s nice to try something different. In terms of subclasses, I think there’s gonna be a lot of Tasha’s rep, so Oath of Glory would be good.

Laura now. I think Laura absolutely loved Jester’s trickery abilities, but wasn’t the biggest fan of the cleric’s base abilities. She’s shown a preference for mixed classes (Ranger, Cleric, Four Elements Monk with Farriwen) I think Laura would make a fantastic bard. Specifically I think Creation or Whispers would suit her playstyle. Laura can be a mastermind if the situation calls for it, and just loves doing insane stuff.

The one, the only, Mr. Sam Riegel. I could see him doing a Life cleric purely to dunk on Laura for Jester not healing, but more seriously, I’m thinking Sorcerer, possibly Aberrant Mind or Wild Magic. Sam brings a special kind of chaos to the table, and while Nott/Veth got some of that good magic as an Arcane trickster, I feel like he missed the amount of spells Scanlan had during campaign 2. Plus, we haven’t had a sorcerer since Tiberius, so I wanna see at least one person try it.

Travis, I’m thinking he got a taste for spellcasting with Fjord. Druid maybe? Circle of the Shepard, just because I love the thought of Travis with an animal companion.

Taliesin, in my heart of hearts, i’d love for him to play a Warlock. I don’t think he will though, just because it’s too obvious, King of the Goths being a warlock. Since Tasha’s revamped the Ranger, I think it would be great if someone took another crack at it. I‘d love to see Tal do Horizon Walker or Fey Wanderer, I think that’d be fun. Or he‘s gonna do another Matt Homebrew Class, cause he seems to really like them.

Liam, I wanna say Blood Hunter. He seems to like both martial and magic classes equally, he had as much fun with Vax as he did with Caleb. Order of the Lycan, because he just seemed so happy with being the big strong guy in Darrington Brigade, and I feel like he wants a break from super-squishy Caleb.

Marisha is a wildcard. I feel like she hasn’t found a playstyle she really really likes yet, so she could go with anything and it would make sense. She’s gonna romance a goth with wings though. Girl is consistent in that respect.

usually, you enjoyed going to parties. usually, you enjoyed squeezing and melding with the bodies of dancing people, feeling the loud bass of the music over the stereos in your chest, and of course, drinking from the mystery punch that your friends always made.

but that was back then when your boyfriend was around to do all those things with you. dressing up for this party felt like a chore and every single thing you used to love about parties annoyed you to no end. you regretted being swayed by your friends to come when you clearly didn’t feel like it so after grabbing a beer from the kitchen, you retired to the balcony of the house on the third floor. for a while, you relished in being alone, feeling the beer warm you pleasantly against the cool, night air, until someone came in and ruined the quiet.

“mind if i join you?”

you turned around at the voice and found a man, with red bright red hair, a dark brown fedora, and wearing a leather jacket and black, skinny jeans, leaning against the doorway. in one hand, he carried a half-empty bottle of wine and a paper cup. you shrugged, as if to say ‘be my guest’ and took a swig out of the rest of your beer. the man walked up and leaned against the balcony railing next to you.

“so, you alone?” he asked. you let out a sigh, instantly pegging him as someone who was here to pick up girls.

“no, i came with my pet hamster,” you snorted.

“hah, never heard that one before,” the man laughed. “sorry, just wanted to talk. not really here to flirt with you if that’s not what you want,” he said, backing off just a bit. “well, unless you want me to,” he smirked.

“charmed,” you smiled, feeling a bit better now that things had been cleared up. and now that you could see him up close, you didn’t really mind talking to such an attractive man at a party.

“i’m chuuya, by the way. chuuya nakahara,” he introduced himself, reaching a gloved hand out for you to shake.

“y/n. y/n l/n,” you shook it.

“so, what’s got you so down?” he asked. “if you don’t mind me asking.”

“just not really feeling this place is all,” you shrugged. “i mean, i like parties but, it’s not quite fun when your friend who brought you is getting to third base in the master bedroom and your ex is out there with some new girl beside him.”

“well, if it’s any comfort, the guy who’s with your friend is probably going to forget about her the next morning,” chuuya said.

“that makes me feel a teensy bit better,” you chuckled.

“other than that, i’m afraid i only know alcohol as the one solution to all problems,” he grinned, pouring wine out into the paper cup he had and offering it to you. you weren’t really one to accept drinks from strangers but you didn’t really sense anything malicious from him.

“you know, i’m actually not that into wine,” you said after taking a sip. “it’s just... sour grape juice.”

“sour grape juice that gets you drunk,” chuuya pointed out.

“you get drunk from wine? pssh, lightweight,” you snorted.

“shut up, it’s 12.5% alcohol,” chuuya muttered sourly. seeing his expression made you laugh even harder. “glad to see you smile for once.”

“you’ve only known me for a few minutes.”

“yeah, but i already figured you looked prettier when you smiled,” he said, smirking at the apparent embarrassment on your face.

“are you always like this?”

“sometimes i show a magic trick or two,” chuuya shrugged.

“is that an innuendo or something?” you raised an eyebrow.

“pshh, no way,” he shook his head. “want me to show ya?”

“sure,” you shrugged, turning to face him. chuuya reached into his pocket, pulling out a packet of cigarettes, and took one out before handing it to you.

“put a mark on it. you could put a pen mark or anything to identify it,” he said. “i have a pen on hand if you want.”

“hmm,” you looked at the cigarette, turning it this way and that, before lifting it to your lips and placing a kiss on the side of the white paper, leaving a red lipstick mark.

“no one’s ever did that before,” chuuya shook his head and chuckled, taking the cigarette from you.

“and no one’s ever shown me a magic trick before,” you smirked. chuuya took out a one-dollar bill from his pocket and wrapped it tightly around the cigarette. then, he reached into his pocket again and pulled out a lighter.

“watch closely, alright?” he said. he lit the very end of the cigarette and blew on the flame until it grew and burned through the whole thing, leaving only ash in his hands. chuuya closed his fist and blew the ash over the balcony. the entire time, you couldn’t help but admire the lines and contours of his face and how his red hair framed the sides of his cheeks.

“and now....” chuuya smirked, reaching a hand behind your ear before pulling out a cigarette with a flick of his wrist. he rolled it to the side, revealing your red lipstick mark along its side.

“whoa.” you clapped your hands and chuuya bowed.

“that’s always a favorite,” he grinned, looking down at the cigarette before sliding it back into the packet.

“keeping a souvenir?” you said, nodding your head at the cigarette.

“i usually smoke these right away but... i have a feeling this one’s worth keeping,” chuuya said. you bit your lip. even though it was your idea to mark the cigarette with your lipstick as a way to flirt with him, there was something thrilling about someone as attractive as chuuya keeping it.

except, you didn’t really feel that thrill for long when you spotted your ex out of the corner of your eye inside the house. your blood ran cold when you saw the other girl who he had his arm wrapped around.

“shit,” you cursed, turning away when you realized that he spotted you.

“what’s wrong?” chuuya frowned, looking over inside the house.

“well, it’s the very guy i was hoping to avoid,” you gritted your teeth.

“ah, the one who looks like he had his face slammed by a door?”

“the very one.” you watched chuuya narrow his eyes in distate at the sight of your ex.

“is it weird that i already hate him?”

“hah, wish i had that instinct,” you laughed bitterly. chuuya took a step closer to you, leaning your head closer to yours. you felt your face flush at how close he was.

“let’s mess with him,” he smirked.

“h-how?” you asked, even though you already knew what he was thinking of.

“kiss me.”

you didn’t even need to be told twice. you grabbed at his shirt collar and pulled chuuya close to you. his lips were surprisingly soft and they moved effortlessly against yours, deepening the kiss. he tasted just like the wine you just drank and smelled like a mixture of cigarette smoke and men’s cologne. neither of you had the mind to pull away any time soon, even though you were certain your ex had already seen you and left. but how could you pull away when chuuya had his hands around your waist, his fingers pressing into your skin and daring you to even leave.

when you finally parted, you were both breathless and panting for air. the way chuuya looked at you with half-lidded eyes that hinted at something more brought a chill down your spine.

“you have... a little something there,” you cleared your throat, gesturing at chuuya’s lips which had your red lipstick smeared on it.

“yeah? you do too,” he said. before you could even react, chuuya licked his thumb and wiped at the sides of your mouth.

“i think that did the trick too,” you grinned, turning to find that your ex was no longer around. you only wished you could see the look on his face with you in the arms of someone else. someone undoubtedly more attractive than him.

“glad i could be of assistance,” chuuya bowed again. “now, i do believe you owe me for that kiss. and the magic trick.”

“oh yeah?” you raised an eyebrow. “and what would that be?”

“your company for the rest of the night,” chuuya smirked.

“only if it’s someplace better than this party,” you said.

“well, i have a motorcycle and an appropriate amount of alcohol in my system,” chuuya said, wrapping an arm around your waist. “just say the word and i’ll take us there.”

I always seek angsty stories, but my friends think I'm a masochist. Why would I purposely want to make myself hurt?? They don't get it ! They don't see the vision ! Don't even get me started on football boyfriend Cheol :-(( It's probably so cliche, but I imagine he's the campus heartthrob. Everyone's in love with him, mc included. Of course she is ! He's probably her senior by one year, and she thinks he'd never look her way or give her the time of day. But then they're paired up to work on a group project :-( or maybe he's seeking extra tutoring because he's falling behind which is threatening his football scholarship. She probably sits on the bleachers, waiting for him to finish practice. She does homework or read books to keep her busy, but then she never notices when Cheol is smiling her way and the captain is yelling at him to get his head in the game !! And when mc gets bored, Cheol misses the times her sparkly eyes wander out to the field to watch him playyy

At the end, he's always running to the sidelines, super sweaty (and very hot), so he can apologize for taking so long. He'd rush back to the shower room and come back without drying his hair klsdjkas (BRAINROT!!). He's so sweet, and he's such a gentleman. He'd probably carry her backpack and her textbooks as they walk back to his car so they can study at his place :( He'd always have the biggest smile on his face because he thinks she's precious !!! Mankai with a cat

a few months ago, our cat scratched me right on my cheek and my first thought out of all things was "what if mankai had a cat" pls get me out of this brainrot 😣

on a side note, this got way TOO LONG so i'm putting it under the cut!! this also works as an apology since i was gone for too long without notice 🙇‍♀️ as always, thank you for reading!

🐾 having a pet for the dorm was a subject mankai always brought up. it definitely sounds like a good idea for a domestic setting, but actually getting a pet is out of the question. sakyo didn't allow it due to obvious reasons, and of course it involved the company's budget.

🐾 there was one time however when muku and yuki went back to the dorms with a white stray cat that had a sprain. that time, sakyo would've given them a lecture like usual, but he gave in anyways and told them that they can foster the cat and they'll let it go after its leg gets better.

🐾 unfortunately for sakyo, everyone got way too attached to the cat before its sprain healed, and sakyo also adored the cat but of course he wouldn't openly admit that. after a week, when the cat got better, it only took a few buttons to push before sakyo agreed to finally keeping the cat, under the condition that they are not getting another pet again.

🐾 no one knew who started calling the cat koko, though it just seemed so natural that everybody else started to follow suit, which was pretty convenient because they didn't have to fight over the cat's name when mankai will finally keep her as a pet. (fun fact coco is the name of our cat)

🐾 that week, tenma deadass acted like an expecting father having his very first child, it was really unnerving to see. taichi and juza would often join tenma in shopping for random cat toys after school, which usually lasts longer than girls shopping for a singular pair of heels and that already says a lot

🐾 the conversation usually goes like this

tenma: "what's the best color for this toy mouse?"

taichi: "i like the red one!"

juza: "that's fine too."

tenma, after 10 minutes: "i see, i'll just buy all 7 colors"

🐾 tenma spoiled koko a LOT. teasers? balls? lasers? plushies? you name it, and tenma literally had them in ALL available colors. he did not really care if some of the toys remained untouched, as long as koko had something to be busy with. tenma had a huge ass box of cat toys that he could open up his own damn store and he'd get a lot of profit

🐾 tasuku literally had no idea why, but koko never scratched anywhere but his legs. is there some sort of magic on his legs?? if there was, it wasn't something tasuku is aware of, and he isn't sure if he wants to know what it is either.

🐾 it actually didn't hurt or anything, it just annoyed him when he needs to go somewhere else and the cat would just pounce to his direction to scratch his legs. tasuku feels bad on walking away, so all he does is stand up and wait until koko is done scratching his leg so he can finally move on.

🐾 when a scratching post was delivered to the dorm, koko has been all over it ever since. when tasuku noticed that koko never scratched on his legs anymore, it then just occurred to him that koko used his legs as a temporary scratching post. if he was being conpletely honest, he doesn't know how to feel about this.

🐾 know the meme of people making their babies choose their pokemon starter? that's what itaru did to koko, except he used the figurines of his waifus instead of pokemon plushies. he'd carry koko to the table, and the figurine koko will knock over would determine who her best girl supposedly is.

🐾 what he didn't know was that koko wouldn't knock one figurine over, but ALL FIVE OF THEM, and they all went rolling from the table and fell down to the floor. he swore that one of the figurines easily gets broken since its glasses came off at some point, and until that moment his trust towards animals has never been tested so bad. gladly, none of the figurines broke so koko is not yet in itaru's hit list.

🐾 even with all the toys tenma showered her with, koko finds itaru's hair on a ponytail very entertaining. itaru doesn't really mind koko messing with his hair as long as his gaming stays uninterrupted, though he gets annoyed when koko pulls a part of his hair too hard. he also somehow gets pissed whenever his hairtie falls off during a crucial moment, but he doesn't have the heart to get mad at koko so he lets her off the hook for so many times.

🐾 if omi is already such a mom to mankai, he is even more of a mom to koko. there is a sack of cat kibbles stored away for weeks, but it still remains untouched up to this day because omi always whip up homemade meals for her.

🐾 there was a time when omi cooked up turkey, mashed potatoes and corn for koko's dinner, but he didn't prepare anything for the actual human beings in mankai. omi was just like, "oh haha, there is leftover curry in the fridge. we probably should finish that first"

🐾 in other words, koko isn't subjected to curry hell. never. cats actually aren't supposed to eat curry or else something would happen. even if cats were allowed to eat curry though, it is highly doubtful that omi will make koko eat curry on a daily basis. if omi is an actual mom, everyone would collectively agree that the favorite child is koko. no buts, no questions asked, that's it.

🐾 it was a given that cats don't like water, so everyone was really surprised when they learned that koko LOVES water. the first time they learned it was when sakuya went to wash the dishes like usual, only for koko to literally pounce by the sink. she waits for sakuya to turn on the faucet and everytime sakuya does, she just sticks her paw out to the water until he turns it off. it was an adorable sight.

🐾 it definitely made sakuya slower on washing the dishes, but he does not really mind one bit, he actually enjoys the company. he opted to use a bit more dishwashing soap after he noticed that koko also liked to play with the excessive foam and bubbles on the sink whenever he finishes doing the dishes.

🐾 everyone in mankai, especially sakuya, already made it a habit to call out to koko whenever they're about to do the dishes so koko wouldn't have to wait for the sound of the faucet before running to the sink. it already is a routine every after mealtime.

🐾 was it already mentioned that koko likes water? yes. whenever the boys get in the bath, koko also joins in the damn tub and REFUSES to leave. after some time, the boys already accepted it and just let the cat stay in the tub, losing their sense of privacy in the process. they also bought little rubber duckies and those bubble bath products so koko can play around with the excessive amount of bubbles and the rubber duckies in the tub.

🐾 there was one time when omi woke up super early to prepare breakfast, though he went to the bathroom first and nearly shit on his pants when he saw koko in the empty tub. no koko, he isn't going to fill the tub with water if you just stay there. get out of there and sleep in your own damn bed.

🐾 koko also follows anyone who is on their way to the bathroom, ALWAYS assuming that they'll fill up the tub every time they do get in the bathroom. sorry to break this to you koko, but taichi wouldn't get in the bathroom 8 times a day to take a bath every single time, he just really wants to pee... please give him a break

🐾 koko always joins tsumugi when he is in the garden, though it was only because she wants to drink on the water coming out of tsumugi's watering can. when there are water droplets on the leaves, she climbs up and licks them off. unfortunately, it is one of the reasons why tsumugi started to yell on a daily basis, "KOKO NO THAT PLANT IS POISONOUS DON'T LICK THAT—"

🐾 tsumugi wouldn't have to warn koko forever though, since she'd eventually memorize what plants are poisonous and what are not. sometimes, after tsumugi is done watering the plants, he'd fill the watering can with water again just so koko would get in the can and chill for who knows how long.

🐾 koko is attached to muku for obvious reasons (he picked her up when she was injured!!) so koko is often in their shared room with kazunari. sadly, there was a time when muku took a break from reading the shoujo manga to grab some water, and when he got back, koko was already tearing it into pieces.

🐾 muku did not get angry at koko, but the cat knew something was wrong when muku was trying to stop himself from crying that koko already knew not to tear any of muku's books in the future. koko still felt really bad about it even after muku bought a new copy of that specific volume.

🐾 whenever kazunari is rushing an art project that is to be passed the next day, muku holds koko close to him so koko wouldn't be able to somehow ruin the painting. there has already been an instance wherein koko stepped all over the painting when muku and kazunari wasn't in the room, and that better not happen ever again.

🐾 gladly, kazunari was calm about it and found a way to fix the blue pawprints all over the white paint, but only god knows what will happen once koko messes up the painting again when kazunari is getting SO close to breaking down because of the deadline.

🐾 there are times when kazunari prefers to eat bread with charcoal and drink his paint water than having koko step all over his artwork, and muku better make sure kazunari does none of that

🐾 banri is unfortunately one of those people who pretends to be a dick around their pets. more often than he would admit, he'd act like he is about to throw a punch to koko, only to actually give it gentle pats on the head. banri throwing the cat mid-air and catching her is already a common sight, too.

🐾 he finds it funny scaring koko in all sorts of ways, especially when it comes to heights. banri would carry koko up high, and pretend to drop her just to catch the cat again. sakyo has reprimanded him a lot of times regarding this situation, but he brushes it off.

🐾 there was one time however when banri just carries koko up high and stays that way. the cat was literally scared shitless of being high up on mid-air unmoving, she literally had no choice but to piss right on banri's face. ever since that time, banri toned down his tendencies of teasing the cat

🐾 koko ALWAYS sleeps with hisoka. it doesn't matter where, will it on top of the sink? on the tree? below the table of the living room? you name it, and you see koko and hisoka stuck to each other like glue. somehow it feels like koko became a replacement of penpen. the poor stuffed toy probably got messed up by the cat, waiting to finally get fixed in yuki's room

🐾 koko got hisoka's habit of sleeping literally everywhere that it became really concerning. there was a time when tsuzuru noticed that koko was nowhere to be found, and everyone went batshit looking at her all over the city. even sakyo got mad at everyone because they weren't keeping an eye out of the cat while everybody else is gone. after how many hours of searching, turns out the cat was just sleeping inside the fucking washing machine

🐾 funny enough, taichi and koko have the SAME eyes. like, actual striking blue. taichi usually carries her and parades around the dorm, announcing the news to everyone even though he has said it for like the 83rd time that day. nobody really minds though, the coincidence is still too unreal. the quote "like pet, like owner" doesn't really apply to koko and taichi though, because if anything, it feels more like comparing a cat to a puppy

🐾 taichi is also the one who plays with koko the most, which solely meant that he also used the cat toys tenma bought as much as the cat herself did. at this point, it wouldn't be wrong if they said that the toys were bought for BOTH koko and taichi because even taichi sometimes finds entertainment in using the teaser by himself whenever the cat is being held by somebody else.

🐾 as much as yuki refuses to admit it, he actually gets concerned when koko climbs up in all sorts of countertops, because that would mean koko would also NOT hesitate to climb up to his sewing machine. he is already meticulous when it comes to his materials for sewing, but even moreso now.

🐾 every after yuki finishes sewing, he tightly encloses the sewing machine with a case so that the cat wouldn't get to touch it and potentially get hurt. yuki also used to just leave his sewing materials on the desk, but nowadays he actually keeps them into somewhere secure so as to not harm anybody. he can't have koko's paws bleeding just because of some damn pin that rolled on the floor

🐾 yuki also somehow feels bad when he drives the cat away from him by force every time he is working on the costumes for the next play. he doesn't know what the cat is thinking, but he hopes that koko knows he is just trying not to actually make her bleed over some needles. as a repayment, yuki lets koko bother him all she wants whenever he does his homework with muku.

🐾 since masumi always used to be alone at home, he always thought of the possibility of adopting a pet cat that would keep him company. that constant thought he had already dissipated when he started living in the mankai dorm, so when they decided to take koko in, he remembered the specific reasons why he wanted to own a cat.

🐾 he never let anyone willingly in his personal bubble except for the cat, which he accepted pretty easily. masumi also found it kind of amusing to blast songs on shuffle from his phone because koko had her own way of showing if she likes the song or not. if she likes it, she doesn't do anything. if koko doesn't, she taps her paw on his phone a lot of times as if telling him to change the song. most of the time, masumi obliges.

🐾 every time tsuzuru opens the fridge really late at night, he has to double check if koko is inside the fridge or not before he closes it. there was one time when he didn't notice koko get in the fridge while getting energy drinks. the cat pretty much stayed in there for hours and hours until omi opened the fridge to make breakfast. tsuzuru was lectured by sakyo that morning because he would be ultimately responsible if the cat died in the fridge from freezing her ass off

🐾 whenever tsuzuru gets in a writing frenzy, koko keeps him company late at night. unfortunately for tsuzuru, if he stops typing for at least 10 seconds, koko takes that as a sign to pounce on his keyboard and just lay down there. tsuzuru already knew better than to carry her away from his keyboard since the cat will be insistent enough to return to his keyboard, so he usually gives up and goes to bed, saving the ideas in his head for the next time he wakes up.

🐾 because of that, every time tsuzuru finishes a script for the next play, his tendencies of passing out right after handing the script to somebody else significantly lessens. tsuzuru doesn't know if the cat is just trying to be annoying or if she just wants him to get some sleep, but either way he doesn't really mind because he gets to stop himself from overworking. well sorta

🐾 juza almost never approaches koko. like never. it feels like he is openly avoiding the cat for some apparent reason, and nobody knows why, but in reality he is just scared as shit of the damn cat. what if koko gets mad at him? what if she suddenly gets aggressive and scratches him? honey you're way bigger than her, and koko wouldn't hurt you... really it's okay

🐾 juza's way of offering affection to the cat is to give her some portions of his meal during dinner, sometimes breakfast. he tries to be sneaky about it, but he legitimately has no idea that everyone knows. it becomes more obvious when koko already made it a habit to sit on the chair behind juza every meal time to get more food. that still happens even after omi just filled up her fucking bowl. nobody comments about it though, they find it hilarious

🐾 koko always tries to test homare's patience, but for some reason homare literally doesn't give a single fuck. every time he is writing something down, high chances are koko would spread the ink all over his paper. sometimes she'd try to crawl her way in his coat sleeve, and homare, he just....... doesn't mind.

🐾 if homare is actually busy however, he'd take out his necktie from his vest if koko doesn't want to leave his lap. most of the time, she actually plays with it like it's a teaser. homare is fine if the necktie gets destroyed, he has a lot of neckties in his closet and some of them are specifically for the purpose of koko messing with them

🐾 not to mention that he also finds it really amusing that koko gets overly excited when it comes to lasers. homare is curious why this would be the case, so he usually uses the laser to play with koko when he has free time. he doesn't think of where he points the laser though, so his wooden desk ends up having a lot of scratches. again, he knows and he doesn't care in the slightest.

🐾 misumi adores koko so much. her ears are triangles, her paws are triangle, her nose is triangle. she is a fucking triangle. with the help of kazunari, he already has a whole album of koko's best pictures in polaroid films. most of them are in a photo book so that everyone has a physical copy to look at, while some of them are taped on misumi's wall. the ones on misumi's room are particularly the ones where her ears are especially prominent.

🐾 at least twice or thrice a week, misumi brings koko out of the dorm and brings her to other groups of stray cats that misumi deems trustworthy. nothing bad happens to koko gladly, because only god knows what would happen once misumi's instincts tell him something horrible is about to happen to their pet cat, and they're always spot on

🐾 citron has ZERO sense of personal space when it comes to koko. citron would literally touch koko anywhere, thinking she is fine with it. unfortunately, there are times when citron pets koko on parts she doesn't want to be touched, particularly the tail and the area around it. citron's hands always end up covered in scratches. over time, he memorized where he should and shouldn't touch like the back of his hand

🐾 citron made a koko jr. which was completely intended to be for display purposes. the cat saw it as a new mouse toy however, so it didn't take a whole day for koko jr. to look like a ball of messed up wool. it doesn't look like a damn cat anymore, though it passes as an extremely fluffy and distorted alpaca

🐾 sakyo never shows affection to the cat. no pets, no strokes, nothing. the most he does to koko is spare her a glance, and sometimes he even glares at her from a distance when sakyo gets too absorbed in his thoughts... despite that, everyone wonders why every time sakyo comes home, she gets more energetic greeting him compared to how she'd greet the rest of the boys when they come back to the dorm

🐾 azuma knows. he would sometimes stay up for late night talks with sakyo, and through their conversations that's when azuma learns how much sakyo cares. azuma often helps sakyo out on trimming koko's nails when they're getting kind of long, trying to be as careful as possible so as to not hurt her.

🐾 azuma is also amused at the fact that sakyo tries to ignore koko resting on his lap, or when he pretends not to notice the cat trying to slip in the pockets of his coat. knowing sakyo, he'll definitely complain about the white fur on his black coat later on. as funny as it is, azuma knows better than to say a word about it.

🐾 before kazunari realized it, his camera roll is pretty much filled with random pictures of koko. most of them are just derp pictures, though... kazunari captures her weird quirks, like how she likes to fall asleep with all fours spread out like a starfish, or how she constantly make noises on the door stopper if she wants to get in the room. the picture with koko's most horrified face on it was when banri threw her high up mid-air, and that is never going to get deleted.

🐾 they find everything the cat does very adorable, even though she is just drinking water from her bowl. or when her tongue gets stuck on the ice tray omi brought out from the fridge. or when she yawns and taichi sticks a finger in her mouth and she doesn't know what to do next. or when she squints her eyes at homare when he gets in a blabbering rampage. literally everything.

🐾 at some point, kazunari thought it'd be a good idea to have those cat tunnels mounted on walls so there will be more room for koko to play. he just said it out of nowhere, but everyone agreed on that idea. after a week or two, the whole dorm is basically a cat playground with a crapton of shelves, slides, and tunnels on the walls, save for the practice room, bathroom, and the bedrooms.

🐾 did sakyo said that they are never, ever getting another pet after koko? yeah right, there's no way that's actually happening. high chances are they got more cats so that the cat playground they all built together will get utilized. the more, the merrier!! even though sakyo complains a lot about the expenses, they all know he isn't against the idea, though they better not tease him for it or sakyo will definitely take it back

i made joy and i had to pull through for the daughter of odette.

i suffer from barbie brainrot btw.

anyways anneliese where do i begin.

the daughter of the swan queen / white swan / odette.

she and joy are the same age but she’s a year under her.

her full name is anneliese hu!!!

nicknames include annie but basically no one calls her that aside from her mother.

an ever. the best of the best. the goodest of all good. the blueprint. the model student. you and your mom and your grandmother wishes they could be her.

she’s basically the perfect school for good kid.

despite that it’s pretty much the only personality she has. her mother had raised her up as this uber good and sensible kid.

as a kid her mother was always very strict with presenting good and being beautiful and all that jazz.

also going through a mid-life identity crisis.

also an only child, the princess of a kingdom called the crystal lake, housing the swan lake and many castles (although mostly old and crumbling) and some mountains and more lakes & forests. very magical and fairytale-esque.

has blonde hair and really startling bright blue eyes.

OR DOES SHE *dun dun dun*.

she doesn’t because i love giving my characters drama and issues to wade through.

she was actually born with dark hair, like a straight never-coloured black.

her mother was like nUh Uh MiSsY *danny gonzalez finger waggle* only blondes in this household.

breaking news the hu family believes in blonde supremacy.

anyways she forces anneliese to dye her hair blonde constantly with some kind of unicorn hair, lemon, sugar concoction because somehow good is always connected to blond hair.

(also odette also totally had similar hair and was ridiculed for it before turning her blonde hair permanent through some sus ways)

also of asian descent. very similar build to joy, but just a teeny bit shorter.

her hair is always tied up into a ponytail, braid or bun.

she actually didn’t like joy much at first, kind of looked down at her.

if anything she just felt pity for the girl. which is like really really annoying because anneliese talks like she’s talking to a baby kitten.

as a kid as she always taught to look down on nevers because good always defends and prevails, she was always raised to believe that good is superior to evil. because obviously! if they’re not why are they always the one to triumph in the end?

but joy is actually!!! ok with being friends.

and anneliese is like what.

we’re supposed to be mortal enemies

joy: not when i’m alive we’re not.

she meets joy at the school and actually starts becoming friends with her she’s like. well shit. mom’s going to kill me.

anneliese goes through this entire character arc that i’m NOT going to describe because i might write this or something but YES in the end she’s like

wow was i wrong.

they write letters to each other btw.

she’s AGGRESSIVELY good. like chaotic good. anneliese radiates ben and jerry’s energy.

ever: omg that joy kid is so evil :( anneliese: SAY HELLO TO MY GRANDFATHER FOR ME *throws the kid across the classroom*

anneliese throws coin bag at poor peasant ‘now do whatever you want with it! I don’t care!’

also conveniently and unironically good at combat magic and thus has a habit of throwing kids across classrooms or out windows when they say something that rubs her the wrong way.

anneliese having breakfast or something and thinking about peasants and then she just abruptly gets up, tells the head chef to make as much food as he can and set up free food stalls in the village square

she’s just so aggressively GOOD like it’s hilarious.

although sometimes it might come off as her seemingly treating someone like a charity case.

also a ballerina.

doesn’t waddle like joy because that u n s i g h t l y for a princess but she is stretching everywhere and cracking bones 24/7 and most of the time a puddle on the floor.

evergirls: walks into bathroom anneliese, with a toothbrush in hand and leg propped up against the wall: good morning.

joy recognises anneliese through the sound she makes when she walks.

anneliese wears these heels and she walks around like CLICK CLACK and they are really really loud.

odette: you gotta wear all these fancy pure beautiful shoes to show how good and beautiful and amazing and light and graceful you are annie: ok click clacks aggressively

her mom waking up every morning to really really loud click clacks ‘oh my fucking god it’s her again’

my godforsaken daughter’s existence was not just a bad dream

annie: OH MOTHER *raps aggressively on door* OUR BREAKFAST IS READY.

has the most EXTRAVAGANT shoe collection. sophie would be jealous.

her prized possession and the one she wears the most are these heels that make literal fire.

shhh i know its fake (i’m heartbroken btw) but its totally real in their world

maybe half of her shoes can do that so.. u never know which... keepin em on their toes...

someone: says something stupid annie: friendly reminder that i am, in fact, a fire hazard.

also the type of girl to say “no ❤️”

her mother probably only wants the best for annie but she’s just doing so in a very unorthodox way.

odette: i've been bullied bc i made friends with an never i don't want u to do the same annie: its the 21st century mom. maybe people getting bullied for what they can’t help and don’t wanna be is the problem :)
