See, it's a bit more complicated than that. If H was dating women for the sole reason of having a beard because he's closeted, and we knew that he didn’t want to come out (little queercoding and overly heterosexual projection), and that he was in a situation that would make his life very difficult if he came out (if were illegal, if he'd be shunned by his community, no support from friends and family and no fandom support that could threaten his career) then it would be very simple. Let him be, he's protecting himself and society sucks. Let him gush over his beard.

It's not that straight forward though. He's in PR relationships that also doubles as bearding relationships. All his relationship has been high profile ones and more often than not coincided with promo runs. I'd argue that Holivia was 95% movie promo and for attention and 5% bearding for Harry. Harry is making money off these PR relationships and is selling us lies in order to make you buy nail polish or ride a citrus fruit bike. We also know that he's being closeted against his will. He has however been more cooperative than ever in these last relationships. I think it's because of the money and the attention. If he just needed a beard he could have picked someone unknown and signed a long term contract with her. Plenty of other Hollywood stars go that route. He would't gain attention from that relationships though and would't be able to enter PR relationships he could make money off.

So if he's promoting his album and planning on gushing over his current PR gf, then yes larries and other fans who recognise the relationships as PR would be pissed. Of course, he can do whatever he wants. But don't be naive and try to tell me he's doing it because he is closeted. He's doing it to sell his album so that people want to listen to the songs he's written about the gf he adores so much. He's also namedropping her to boost her career, because that's what the contract stipulates. Don't give him a pass because he's closeted. This is about PR and money primarily, not about him being gay. If you try to sell me something i know it's fake, and you double down on it, then yes i'm going to be pissed.
