MBBS admissions delayed, and first-year engineering classes may be reduced.
The delay in commencing medical admission is likely to result in the curtailing of first year engineering classes by as much as two months, said officials here. The counselling for students seeking engineering seats should have begun on July 2. However, for the benefit of medical aspirants who also enrolled for engineering admissions, the process was postponed till the finalization of MBBS admission by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Tumblr media
A senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (D0TE), which conducts Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2023), said there was no information from NMC regarding medical admissions. “Though the NMC has asked time till July second week to conduct medical counselling, the students who have enrolled for engineering courses are anxiously waiting to join,” he added.
Due to delay in completing MBBS admissions, the opening of colleges for first year engineering students would be postponed from the original schedule of September third week. “Even if the medical counselling begins in the second week of July, the admission process will go on for at least two weeks to get a clear picture to know how many aspirants who registered for both medical and engineering seats will opt for medical colleges,” he said. As per All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) schedule, the engineering counselling should be completed by second week of September. However, the council has given extension.
If engineering colleges commence first year classes by November, it would mean the academic year for these students would be truncated by around two months, the official said, adding that classes would not begin from day one, as there would be an induction programme for students for a week. “It would take at least a month to begin full-fledged classes…
We will instruct the colleges to make up for the time loss as per their convenience,” he said. Nethra B, who holds the top rank in the merit list and opted for Computer Science course at Anna University, said she was eagerly waiting to join college.
Nethra secured 598 out of 600 in the Class 12 board exams. However, medical aspirant S Mahalakshmi, who secured 200 out of 200 in the merit list and came first among the government school students, said she was waiting for the medical counselling to begin soon. “I hope MBBS admissions will begin shortly,” added Mahalakshmi, who scored 331 in NEET exams.

The fact that I can pull contextual evidence with images & references from across 34 hour+ long episodes of television that connect narratives, character arcs, themes and writer values only to have “but the writers would never do xyz” thrown in my face by someone who has only ever watched scenepacks and referenced cons as evidence to defend a ship is the wildest fandom experience I’ve ever had.
Like? Friend. Matt and Ross “we were surprised by our audience because we made this show for film nerds like us” Duffer are already doing it. They didn’t just put the brakes on one of the most popular shows on TV in solidarity with all TV & film writers for you to take 14-19 year old MBB’s headcanons, actor jokes and a face-level reading of the narrative (one they've had mapped since before the first episode & know the ending of) over their deeply interwoven subtext and award-winning storytelling. They’re not stupid.

i'm going to have to totally disagree with that poll about el's sexuality. the issue isn't her orientation or ability to have sexual attraction, but rather her emotional support system. a healthy understanding of the physical and emotional consequences of sex is an important learning curve for anyone, but for her, who has been abused and grown up in a lab, much of her formative years being skewed and used for ulterior purposes?
she's got a lot to learn, and s3 was clearly a breakout moment for that teen girl normality with her and max. they brought this back for s4 too, with the memory callbacks and max being the memory that was associated with el at the end. stupid boys, etc. this surely is what el's whole emotional arc/family arc/autonomy arc is about.
we also have el responding in a very child-like manner to max's comment about happy screams. yes, it's girlhood naivete, but MBB plays up the slowed-speech with El at times, and i think it's to show that certain topics really go over her head.
but sexuality is also innate and can appear very early, so i don't think it's a case of her needing to be older or whatever. its just that the duffers arent exploring el's sexuality in a way that's about discovery, like mike and will's, but rather about a girl who was sexualised too young (mainly by brenner, accidentally by mike - i mean he kissed her out of the blue for god's sake and she looked shocked af), and who needs to now move away from sexuality and romance for a while.
whether she's ace etc is part of her self discovery, and i think the show wants you to root for her taking her time to function as an emotionally stable young woman, not care about romance and love. that's a joy that can come later for her, but it's not going to be her endgame.
i really dislike it when mi-levens say its ableist to suggest el has special needs, meaning literally has special requirements to function in society. of course she does, and why is that bad? if anything, to remove her access to specialist support after her traumatic upbringing is toxic and damaging. mi-levens deny el the support she needs in order to fulfill their ship, saying that it's rude to suggest love and romantic companionship is weak. of course it's not weak - all humans need love and wanting romance is not weakness. but el needs time to figure out what she wants and who she is outside of the lab. she even says in s3, mike is just her first boyfriend. the show could not have worked harder to show us that her and mike don't work (which is a way of saying that el+romance doesnt work right now). what else do they have to do to convince people that el's arc isn't about romance or her sexual orientation??
Please note that the purpose of this blog is not to be creepy or to make anyone uncomfortable. That's why I created the #spicy byler tag (I will tag all polls with this). If you don't want to see this blog or anything related to it on your feed, please block that tag. Not everyone is comfortable with this sorta stuff, and that's okay.

It was just another day on campus for Nanami— or at least that's what he thought. Returning from his bakery run, he sat outside to study and enjoy his lunch. He was working towards getting his MBBS to become a neurosurgeon. Due to him being an exceptional student and pulling late nights, Nanami would be able to graduate a year early. At the same time, he decided to start his internship. His goal was to start working in a hospital as soon as he finished college.
Nanami wasn't like most college students. He didn't party every weekend, and he didn't have many friends either. The only contacts he had saved on his phone were a couple of his professors, his trainer, and his dear friend from high school, Gojo Satoru . So it was safe to say that Nanami lived a pretty quiet life.
As for his love life, he didn’t do much dating. He would often get stares or sometimes asked out on dates. However, he would politely decline them. He wanted to remain focused on his studies, worrying that he wouldn’t be able to fully commit to a relationship. Especially if the person wasn’t as serious as he was. At times, even his friend, Gojo, would try to snatch him away from his studies to go on double dates with him. Nanami would indulge in it every now and then, but for the most part, he would stray away.
Nanami was now finished with his lunch and studies. With his class starting within the next ten minutes, he began making his way to the corridor. Before he could even take one step, he looked at the most beautiful person he had ever seen.
There you were, graciously swaying your full hips across the grass. The sun practically gravitated towards your rich complexion, causing the umber in your skin to glow. Even in your scrubs, Nanami was able to see those dangerous curves. It was intoxicating to him . Your hair was in a messy bun, and he thought your curls were lovely. He guessed that you would smell so sweet. Perhaps a vanilla-like scent? He was dying to know.
To think he couldn’t yearn for you any further, you smiled. One of your classmates called out your name to greet you, and you shot this heavenly beam that made Nanami’s face completely red. It almost felt like it was love at first sight. He needed to know who you are.
--
It was the next day, and the only image that consumed Nanami's mind was you. He couldn't get over how beautiful you were. Wearing your scrubs gave him a sense of relief because he knew you were a medical student. Nanami was just so surprised he hadn't seen you before. With a beauty like you, he would've been sure to notice you sooner. Now, he couldn't only help but be patient to see you again.
It was 9:45a.m. Nanami was in his first class of the day, biochemistry. He would never sit in the front but was at a distance where he was close enough to see. Although Nanami was a phenomenal student, this subject was by far the most difficult for him. He was glad that this was first class so he could knock it out for the day. The size of this class was pretty big. Fifty-five students, to be exact. Even so, the seat next to him was empty, so he didn't have to worry about someone talking to him.
As the professor continued the lesson, a student abruptly pushed the class door open. It was you . You were running late due to oversleeping. It probably wasn't the best idea to go out last night with Shoko. Knowing her, after having one drink, she doesn't stop until the bar closes. And like the great friend you are, you joined her. Even if that meant being thirty minutes late to class.
“[L/N]-san, it’s so nice of you to join us—a half an hour later, that is.”
“I’m sorry, Ito-Sensei. I overslept, but I got you coffee,” you said in an irresistible tone.
“Hmm, I suppose I’ll let you off this time. However, make this your last.”
“I will!”
“Everyone, this is [Y/N] [L/N]. She completed her courses early, so she’ll be joining us starting today.”
“Good morning,” everyone said in unison.
You bowed. “Good morning. I’m looking forward to learning with you all.”
“Please go find a seat.”
“Yes. Of course.”
Meanwhile, Nanami's eyes widened at the sight of you, nearly falling out of their socket. He was in disbelief. Just as he was hoping to see you again, here you are, being his new classmate. You were scanning the room, looking for an opening, until your eyes landed next to Nanami. Quickly walking up the stairs, you greeted him, asking for a seat.
“Good morning. Is it okay if I sit next to you?”
“G-Good morning. Yes, please. By all means,” he flushed.
You smiled. “Thank you.”
Nanami stood up to allow you in, and based on his assumptions, he was right. You smelled so sweet. Precisely like the vanilla scent, he was anticipating. Not only that, you had a hint of mango. He felt like a weirdo at this very moment, wanting to pull you into his embrace and engulf your aroma even further.
He felt intimidated by being this close to you. You were so beautiful. Nanami didn't know how often he said that to himself, and he didn't care to stop because it was simply the truth. Hearing you talk as you addressed the professor, Nanami knew he could easily fall in love with you. The timbre in your voice was celestial, thinking of it as dulcet harmony he would be willing to listen to every day. He felt like a pervert because he would be lying if he didn't wish to hear you moan his name. "So perfect," he thought.
Nanami wanted to get to know you. It was his goal, and he had a good feeling that your personality matched your appearance. From the little interactions throughout class you had with other students and the professor, you carried yourself with utmost respect and grace. He had this silly notion that he thought one's persona would be based on their penmanship. Glancing from his peripheral, he saw your notes were flawlessly written and well organized.
Somehow Nanami could remain focused on the lesson while thinking about you. He was figuring out how to spark conversation with you. Should he pretend he wasn't paying attention and ask for your notes? No, that's too cliché, and maybe you'd think he's incompetent. Perhaps seeing if you need a tour around campus? Wait, you weren't new to the university, just to the class. Fuck, this shouldn't be so difficult. A simple "Hi, how are you?" should suffice, right? Breaking him from his thoughts was the professor making an announcement.
"Before class is dismissed, I wanted to inform you that the person next to you will be your study partner for the rest of the academic term. So, be sure you're well acquainted with one other because your grade will reflect if your assignments aren't up to par. That's all I have to say. You may leave. Enjoy the rest of your day."
It seems like Nanami’s luck just keeps getting better.
“Hi, partner. I’m [Y/N]. What’s your name?”
“M-Me?”
You giggled. “Yes, you . You are my partner, are you not?”
“Nanami Kento,” he shied.
“Well, nice to meet you, Nanami-san. I’m looking forward to working with you. Did you want to exchange emails? That’ll help us communicate better when we’re not in class.”
He nearly flushed from hearing you say his name. Although it was only his surname, it rolled off your tongue perfectly. “I think that’s a great idea, Miss [L/N].”
“I’m not big on formalities. You can use my first name.”
“No, I possibly couldn’t be so informal with you.”
You stuck your tongue at him. “Ugh, fine. Miss [Y/N], then?”
“Y-Yes. Of course, Miss—[Y/N].”
Nanami was glad to have you as his partner. The two of you worked well together. However, he saw you as much-needed support. Before transferring to biochemistry, Nanami was the top student in the class. Once you came, that spot was effortlessly earned by you. The assignments you turned in separately never graded less than a ninety. Even if you were late to class several times, you were the first to raise your hand to answer the question. With you doing so well, the professor looked over your tardiness. Nanami was sure to take advantage of you being his study partner. But, of course, that wasn't his only motive.
In the weeks, he took in the little details you shared with him. Finding out your favorite snack, Nanami was sure to bring it for you during your sessions. He adjusted his schedule to blend with yours. Even if it was only pertaining to assignments, he enjoyed talking and spending time with you. You were simply perfect to him; over time, he began developing feelings for you. Eventually, getting comfortable with using your given name as you requested.
Nanami didn't want to overstep your boundaries, so he never voiced how he felt about you. Though, he would hint with small gestures. Complimenting you. Praising you for doing well on your tasks. Emailing you to see if you are doing okay, ensuring you've eaten enough throughout the day. For once in your life, you were oblivious to all these signs. Honestly, you thought Nanami was just being a good study partner because if you weren't doing well, it would also affect him. Nonetheless, you appreciated him, and in time, you considered him a friend.
He started inviting you to lunch once you exchanged numbers. Nanami would take you to his favorite bakery, then the two of you would head back to his apartment to study. This was soon turned into an everyday occurrence. You thought he was sweet. Regardless of his aloof personality, he spoke to you so kindly. Nanami seem much more relaxed when you were alone together. He didn’t talk as much, but he made sure to listen.
The times you studied together, you could better observe his features. You developed a crush on him. He was a handsome man. His hair was the perfect shade of blond, having it well kept. His jawline was flawless, especially from the side, where you also took notice of his small bags. Again, thinking his gestures were only him being friendly, you kept your feelings to yourself. Surely, you weren't over your past relationship, but it wouldn't hurt to have fun, right?
It was just another day of studying in Nanami's apartment, and he was taken back by how your session went. Believe it or not, you were able to study better if you had music, singing along to the lyrics. Of course, you asked Nanami if it was okay before you began, and he was okay with it. Even amused.
“ We can't just keep talkin' about it. We think too often about it. We can't just be cautious about it. I wanna get wil d,” casually singing the lyrics. Nanami was in the kitchen, taking a break to cook a quick lunch for the two of you. You joined him in the kitchen, playfully singing in his space.
“Haha, [Y/N], you are simply too much.”
“You might be right, but this is how we keep getting ninety or higher on our assignments. My singing and brains, plus your brains and tasty food,” you teased.
“Would you like to taste it?”
“Yes! It smells so good.” Stirring the pot, Nanami scooped up a good amount of broth to bring to your mouth. You gave it a few blows before sipping on the spoon. Once it hit your tongue, you groaned in ecstasy. It tastes just as good as it smelled. Spicy and flavorful. Exactly how you liked it. “Mhm, this is wonderful. What is it?”
While tasting the food, Nanami couldn't help but focus on your lips. Those pretty, full two-toned lips. Despite not wearing makeup, your bottom lip was this perfect shade of pink as if you were. He wanted to bite it so badly. He was yearning for that sweet taste he knew you had. But unfortunately, his pale skin couldn't hide the heat across his face, and he felt himself losing it.
“Nanami? Are you okay?” you genuinely questioned.
“Y-You look so beautiful, Miss [Y/N].”
“I see we’re back to the formalities.”
“I mean, [Y/N].”
“Haha, I’m just kidding, Nanami. —Thank you.”
“My apologies for overstepping-”
You shook your head. “It’s okay.”
“Is it alright for me to be honest with you?”
“I appreciate honesty.” You turned off the music to be able to listen to him.
"I know we've only been study partners for about a month, but I couldn't help but develop feelings for you. I respect your dedication to your studies, and you carry yourself with grace. Your beauty has caught my eye since the day I saw you. I was just too cowardly to approach you. I could feel the warmth of your spirit, but it intimidated me. I wanted to come to you correctly. Now that we shared the same class and became partners, I had to take advantage of this. I'm glad that we work well together. However, I would be lying if I said getting closer to yo wasn't my main goal. I was wondering if I could take you out on a date to get to know you personally?"
“Oh...”
“I-I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have bombarded you with a confession like that.”
“It’s—It’s okay. Really. It’s just I’m surprised, is all,” you admitted.
“ Surprised? Why is that, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“I’ve had this crush on you, but I never thought you felt that way about me. I wasn’t expecting this.”
“So, I guess my hints weren’t as obvious, haha,” he nervously chuckled, scratching the back of his head.
“They weren’t. I honestly thought you were just being nice to me, Nanami.”
"I understand. But really, it shouldn't be a surprise. Anyone would fall in love with a woman like you." Nanami placed his hand over his mouth. He knew his feelings for you were more profound, but he didn't want to scare you away by telling you this.
“ In love? You’re in love with me, Nanami?”
“If you decide to ask the professor if you could switch partners, I compl-”
“No! Why would I? I said I like you.”
His eyes widened. “Would you allow me to take you to dinner, then?”
“Yes, Nanami. I would love to go out to dinner with you. However, I also have to be honest with you.”
“Please do.”
“I just got out of a relationship five months ago. I’m kinda still dealing with the heartbreak, so I don’t want you feeling like a rebound. But I feel like-”
“I’ll be patient with you. I know it’ll be worth it.”
“I’m sorry.”
"It's nothing for you to be sorry about, [Y/N]. It was my decision to confess, and it's also my decision to not be your “rebound.” We can just take our time," he ensured.
You gave him a soft smile. “Okay, I think I’ll like that.”
Over the next few months, the two of you went on multiple dates. On a more personal level, you found out you had much in common with Nanami. You had similar food and music taste. Your social levels were about the same. The only difference was yours lasted a bit longer. You appreciated that about him, though. He was less lively than your ex-boyfriend. Not like Toji's personality was an issue for you. Nanami's was just different, and that was okay. You liked the change.
The more time he spent with you, the deeper his feelings became. Nanami felt blessed to be able to see you that day walking across campus. Still and all, if he hadn't, he would've met you in biochemistry. He was glad to choose a seat that had an empty spot next to him. You became his classmate, friend, and hopefully for him, his lover.
As Nanami said before, he didn't mind waiting for you. You were worth it. He loved the person you were. So kind and warm. He loved how you could balance your work, studies, and personal life. This is what he meant when he said he wanted someone as serious as him. Both in committing to the relationship and college. Sometimes he found it hard to believe meeting someone as beautiful as you. Nanami didn't care how long it took. He was determined to make you his lover. And soon enough, that determination would be rewarded.
Three months have passed since you began dating Nanami. You were over at his apartment, hanging out after a study session. Your head rested on his lap as he played with your coils. The comfortable silence was pleasing while both of you were
You looked at him with a soft smile, and he returned one of his own. The feelings you had for him became evident. He's been so gentle and patient with you. He never made you feel guilty for not saying I love you when he said it. Always assuring that you can say it once you're ready. What would be a better moment than now?
“Kento?”
“Yes, darling?”
“I—I love you.”
Placing his book to the side and removing his glasses, he lifted your head to face him directly. “[Y/N], I’m okay with still waiting. I don’t want you to feel like you’re being rushed.”
“I don’t. You’ve been more than patient with me. I’ve been feeling this for the last two weeks. I just wanted to get my emotions together. It may not be as strong as yours, but I love you.
His expression softened, holding your hands tightly. “Can—Can I kiss you?”
“Y-Yes.”
Soon after, he cupped your face, and his lips met yours. This was the first kiss you shared. A moment couldn't be any more perfect than this. Sweet, just as he imagined. Licking your bottom lip, you allowed him to swirl his tongue with yours. Nanami was a fantastic kisser. Not too fast. Not too slow. Controlled and steady. You followed his movements as he took the lead.
Four months of yearning for your taste. Four months of wanting you as his lover. Four months of him dying to hear you use his given name. He was beyond in love with you. Nanami didn't care about what he said about not wanting a relationship right now. That was before he met you. Never in his life did he long for someone like he did with you.
“[Y/N], can we-”
“Do you want to?”
“Yes. Please, yes.”

Hiii ! (I love your account so much, I really like your way of thinking hihi)
A "simple" question but how do you think season 4 will end (for byler i mean)? Could you please develope your opinion, your certainties about them, maybe even clues to prove what you say perhaps? :)
After this new trailer I have the impression that many have lost hope, it’s so sad :((
Have a nice day ! ❤️
sorry for my bad english :((
Thank you so much for your ask and your kind words!!!!
It's so hard to talk about what I think will happen in Volume 2, because there's kind of a difference between what I want to see, what I think should happen, and what I actually expect to see.
That said...
Season 4 Volume 2 Predictions
Mike does say I love you to Eleven, BUT it's either platonic OR framed in a way that tells the audience he is lying.
We are leading up to an I love you. El needs to hear it, and it makes sense for Mike to say it platonically, or else to feel like he has to say it. I'm hoping that, if he's meant to be lying or unsure, they make that very clear. I think it's possible that Eleven will challenge his I love you as well and which could directly or eventually lead into the next idea...
Eleven breaks up with Mike.
Eleven has spent the season regaining her powers and learning a lot about her past. She struggles with whether she's a monster or a superhero and needs to learn that she's somewhere in between. She's been lying to Mike to seem perfect. If she's really going to come to terms with who she is and "stand on her own two feet" as MBB said in a recent interview, I think she needs to break up with Mike.
Will doesn't directly confess his feelings with the painting, possibly because they are interrupted.
Listen, the painting obviously has romantic intentions, but the fact that he brought it to the airport intending to give it to Mike in front of everyone shows that it's not directly tied to a confession. I think Will will give Mike the painting, or Mike will open the painting while Will is elsewhere. Either way, I don't think the painting will be accompanied by a direct admission of Will's feelings. Because...
Mike expresses his feelings first.
I don't know if this is because of the painting or because of a life-or-death situation or in order to save Will or anything like that, but if they're going the route of requited Byler, I think it's important that Mike expresses his feelings first. Whether that's initiating a kiss or touch or actually saying how he feels, I don't know.
Related to this, I think we could see an old letter from Mike to Will signed Love, Mike, either from their year apart or found in the Upside Down from 1983.
And finally, love will save the day.
I don't know whether it will save Eleven or Will or both or everyone but that's a theme we've already seen established. First with Max's memories saving her from Vecna, then with Eleven using memory of her mother's I love you to banish 001 to the Upside Down, and throughout the other seasons.
For Eleven, I hope she will realize the value of platonic and familial love through memories of Hop & Joyce, the party, etc. For Will, I hope Mike will realize his feelings and save him. But again, what I want to see isn't necessarily what I expect to see.

Signs of Life by DefNotForWork
~The Yarders have a pretty well developed view of Sherlock Holmes. Cold, cruel, dispassionate and robotic. He simply doesn't register as human. When the detective stops talking, stops eating, doesn't come to crime scenes, and barely moves from the red chair in 221B, Greg starts to worry that he's using again, and this time, he's in too deep to be helped. That is, until a certain soldier shows up at a crime scene.~

Good evening ma'am
Would appreciate any advice you've got regarding dealing with the third year of mbbs ☺
Helloo! Third year was my favourite year because I had good time to focus on my extra curricular as well as the academics. I would suggest to revise your basics from first and second year and prime yourselves to the final year subjects during this period, so that you are not clueless about the final year subjects. And for third year, keep studying the subjects during your rotation as they relatively smaller subjects hence easier to cover. I studied them only during my postings and during my study holidays and I did surprisingly very well.
All the best✨

Day 1 of 2nd year MBBS // 18 Jan 2024
Hola !
College started the next day after results ( which came on 17.1.24) and we weren't even told in advance , so I was really unprepared .
First day went well ! It was really tiring though, we had our first medicine clinical posting today , it was my first ever experience in a hospital setting .
Came home and did a bit of home reading of history taking.
Adios !
