The Importance of Nami's Smile

There's something I noticed when reading the manga that might be important in the future... and it relates to Nami and Sanami. So, Nami's smile and laughter are implied to have saved Belle-mère. The ex-marine was about to give up on life, but seeing Nojiko holding a happy Nami gave her life meaning again.

Once Belle-mère goes back to Cocoyashi, we  again see how important Nami's smile and laughter are.

Okay, besides my shipper side, I do think that there might exist some deeper meaning into why Oda chose to make Nami such a happy baby whose laughter and smile are so important and captivating - and I do feel it might connect to Joy Boy, Wano and the Lost Kingdom, but this is a theory for another day.  Anyway, back to my point...

Now, do you remember what Nami was doing when Sanji first saw her?

She was laughing... her laughter was what caught his attention first.

And it's just... so cute and meaningful to me.

I just thought it was a small yet nice detail that Oda might have done on purpose (or not), and it could have an important meaning in the future.

(I also have a feeling that Nami's smile will have a great importance to the conclusion of One Piece as much as other important characteristics from each of the East Blue Straw Hats - Sanji's policy to feed anyone who is hungry might come up again, Usopp's lies will save a lot of people and Zoro's loyalty to Luffy and promise to Kuina will probably give him a huge power up to deafeat his last enemy). Again, this is a theory for another time, hehe

Of course, this is just me, and I'm probably reading too much into this... but it's nice to just analyze these things, right?

Back to Sanami...

To me, Sanji fell for Nami the moment he laid eyes on her, even if he himself might not have noticed at first. But the fact that Oda chose their first interaction to have something to do with such an important characteristic of Nami is so interesting, endearing, and meaningful.

Gosh, the panel of baby Nami smiling just breaks my heart so much. It's so beautiful. Nami is a beautiful person. She deserves the world.

Why no one is talking about Spider-Zero being a future version of Gabriella O‘Hara

She was present as just Spider-Zero in the Spider-Verse 2019 comics, as a young teenager who lost her world and traveled from universe to universe, ultimately recruiting Spider-Man. She tend became the Master Weaver, who guards and protects the Web of Life and Destiny, pretty much the job Miguel has in Across the Spider-Verse.

Most importantly, her name and identity was never revealed in the comics. She lost her world due to an Incursion, which caused a dimensional contraction, basically two realities or Earths to collide with each other. I can totally see this in what Miguel did when he reemplaced his other self, but with a more Matrix-like imagery.

She traveled through worlds, and then became Master Weaver. But most importantly, she contacted Miles Morales to help her repair the Web of Life and Destiny.

If she is not in Beyond the Spiderverse, then I will be deeply disappointed.

Why Fist Thingy is (or is in cahoots with) Walkie Talkie theory (and also my Actual Thoughts about Walkie Talkie)

here to tell you guys mytheory on why FIST THINGY IS THE SECRET INANIMATE INSANITY INVITATIONAL VILLAIN!!!!!! read it. (contains spoilers for iii17!!!)

(just wanna preface this with the fact this is mostly a joke!!! i thought of this while rewatching the whole show back in october and decided the new episode would be a time to post about it. did it for the funnies and the slightest chance there may be some merit to it)

Ok first item on the agenda this is gonna get wild so strap in tight or else it may blow your seatbelts off: iii has introduced the concept of fist thingy being sentient, doing things a non-sentient object would not do

this is something that the show has NEVER hinted at before, making it seem almost as if they’ve added this in specifically for a reason..an EVIL reason?!?! suspicious!!!

second! we have fist thingy Sending Contestants To Indefinite Island. we know it has to be intentional on fist thingy’s part, since it’s done consistently, HOWEVER. it is completely without mephone’s knowledge—until iii10, he had no idea about indefinite island at all and he did not give fist thingy the direction to send eliminated contestant characters there. which means that someone ELSE has to have done it—whoever is behind walkie talkie .. or fist thingy itself, perhaps ?! mysterious!!!

next up here at spot number three we have the springy connection. now that it has been confirmed that springy and walkie talkie Are Indeed working together, there is something Verrrrrry interesting i was thinking…what sort of object is fist thingy? a boxing glove. now, what do springy’s mitten-covered hands look like when curled into a fist (!!!), and particularly in this image at the end of the ep? THAT’S RIGHT, BOXING GLOVES!!! curious!!!

but ashy! i hear you cry out. this is all so farfetched! what reason would fist thingy have to be walkie talkie in the first place? well imagine this little ones. fist thingy is just like mephone. overly attached to the show. been here since the early days and wants it to go on forever. however it was mostly left behind in s2, save for a few scarce appearances—so it’s desperate for any chances to stay in use in s3 it finally finds a voice through the use of a walkie talkie (don’t. Don’t question how.) and tries to keep it going as much as it can because once it’s over—what use is it going to be anymore? also hey if you wanna add in the “something bad happens to every cohost” thing then fist thingy has a reason to hate the floor specifically—it’s shown frustration over not being able to send him away

or, Alternatively, it’s the other way around. what i mean is fist thingy still isn’t sentient but was hijacked and is being controlled by walkie talkie—still is walkie talkie, but not technically actually walkie talkie or just in cahoots with walkie talkie! either way it has to be one of them, because fist thingy wouldn’t just be sending contestants to indefinite island for no reason BUT YEAH!!! end of my awesome theory unless i remember some other point hope you enjoyed …

if you want my Actual Thoughts behind walkie talkie. who it is, i don’t know exactly. but she’s definitely a kinda metaphor or stand-in for like, The Corporation, the way capitalism affects art, you know—the whole ai art metaphor as well as the whole deal with springy

she’s someone who wants to Profit from the show, i think. which is why she’s so desperate to keep it going like mephone is—not that she holds any sentimental value towards it, but because it’s popular, she wants to make it her cash cow and milk it dry and mephone is a person who would let it happen

she Could be from meeple, i suppose, but i don’t really think so? we’ll see. although she doesn’t appear to have any relations with it cobs Did enjoy profiting off of the show without mephone’s knowledge, aside from that though there doesn’t appear to be much reason to see them as the same this is just a Different corporation. a different capitalism, i guess! while cobs would orchestrate fights and such to make the show more exciting and adam begged for bow to stay because viewers liked her, walkie talkie doesn’t seem to really care about entertainment value. she doesn’t care about the art. she prefers quantity over quality and to get that quantity, to get The Money, she has to keep the show running for as long as she can, way past what’s natural. 2 different kinds of corporate meddling

the show has sponsorships. MAYBE THE LIFERING SPONSORS MEANT SOMETHING AFTER ALL!!! springy wants to sell a contestant as a mascot to endlessly profit off of them

honestly #mytheory is this fandom since the beginning has fostered this environment of disliking the girlfriend and digging shit up to justify that dislike people have been doing this for over a decade so even just subconsciously its a pattern that people always try to find something wrong and something off and because they haven't dug any bad thing up on taylor yet now they can only be like oh she has a bad vibe shes a mean girl she's not actually that pretty/talented or he doesn't really like her that much etc etc also prob some racism involved for some people. i think the best thing for people to do for themselves is just try to reel the obsession back in general nothing that harry ( or any other celeb) does in his personal life really affects you so there's no point in trying to nitpick.

hiii i'm sorry this is late it turns out i definitely jumped the gun w the monkeypox i just had/have bronchitis + temporary vision problems bcz of vitamin defificiencies (#mytheory is still i think i might still also have an eye infection) but i had made a few admittedly unwise decisions in late july and i attributed my symptoms to the wrong unwise decisions. but i am feeling better just on a limited electronics/no studying/reduced int*rnship hours/one of those big inhaler things/no longer ghosting my nutritionist lifestyle & hopefully will fully bounce back within a few weeks :) sorry this got super long but yes no reason to worry no monkeypox just existing chronic things that are able 2b rectified. i apprexiate ur good wishes i hope u are dojng ok as well!!! ❤️❤️❤️

My FUCKIN THOUGHTS on the trailer

here are my dumbass theories (that are not in order of the trailer so bite me) ANYWAY:

so THIS scene

this is a party. i assume it’s to celebrate the fall of the first order (because we all know they will) just like they have done in all of the trilogies’ endings. we also see poe exhale like he’s relived.

this is a dream (rey’s), or leia’s apparition coming to give her some words of wisdom before a fucking plot event. we know it’s rey’s dream because of the previous trailer.

this is either comedic relief (shit always happens to C3PO) or it has to do with my clone theory (we’ll get to that later)

this is rey getting pissed about something and throwing a tantrum because i’m not seeing anything (aside from the droid, who is not firing) that could otherwise harm her.

something happens in between these two frames even though it’s from the same scene. but i still have zero idea on what that ribbon is all about.

this scene is kylo going to rey who is waiting for him somewhere, at some point in the movie. but i also notice that he doesn’t seem to be looking for a fight like he usually does.

anyway

this is self explanatory - the final battle. but the conditions on which they happen is still blurry. someone on twitter pointed out that kylo is parring here; not attacking, but defending himself. if THIS (above) scene

...correlates with this frame, then it shows that kylo has just come back from battle and is about to fight rey, which makes me believe that something serious just happened and maybe life changing and redeeming and it really confuses me.

and last but not least....

i have a few ideas about this, but all of them allude to a vision.

in TLJ, rey says she sees kylo turn to the light, but he has seen her turn to the dark.

“when the moment comes, you’ll be the one to turn.”

whether this be because his mind is being altered by palpatine or because it actually happens is still hazy to me. i can’t imagine disney turning rey to the dark, considering her arc is pretty much set in stone. whereas kylo’s....

kylo’s is confusing. no one ever knows what he’s going to do, so could palpatine (as much as i hate to admit it...) be using rey to sway him into submission? just like he did with anakin’s vision of padme?

could (and hear me out - this is coming from someone who doesn’t even really ship reylo) palpatine have tried to seduce him into becoming fully committed to the dark by showing him what could be with him and rey? it’s obvious kylo wants her to rule the galaxy with him: he straight up asked for it in TLJ, but she denied him.

just like anakin did with padme.

so...is this a vision that palpatine is dangling in front of kylo like a dog with a bone? is she actually empress in this dream? she’s not wearing a battle uniform - she’s got on ceremonial robes and jewelry.

this could be the answer (*cringes, but happy for their shipping community i guess*) reylo fans have been looking for. i truly believe that reylo is canon now because of this scene.

or it could very well be rey looking upon herself in a vision too. palpatine could have very well looked into her heart and saw what could seriously tempt her.

here’s my thing too: rey has never had a confrontation with a villain (aside from kylo) who has tried to seduce her to the dark. snoke wanted her dead - he never wanted to train her or to guide her like he did with kylo. so why would they start now?

luke’s quest in the original trilogy was always about his internal conflict between being good and evil, as was anakin’s....as is kylo’s.

“rise of skywalker” is centered around the skywalker family.

kylo is the only living descendant.

anyway, whatever you believe, just know that this epic is going to go out with a fucking bang and it’s gonna blow our shit out of the water.

OH. and one more thing:

this? this is romantic lighting. he’s clean. he’s in freshly laundered robes.

So I just got done watching the Pilot for PLL: The Perfectionists & here are some of my thoughts.

1: Mona talking to herself had me weirded tf out in Alison’s house cause I was like this bitch still crazy your honor

2: Nolan looked like a bad guy to everyone else but literally my dude is protecting everyone around him even if it’s in a shitty way - blackmailing/“cheating”

3: The scene where Nolan calls someone in the woods once he’s out of range makes me think either it’s his sister or the girl he hooked up with to protect Ava from his mother.

4: The ‘They’re Watching’ has to be a warning from Taylor or Mona that Alison finds behind the wallpaper

5: The people we see in the finale scene doesn’t mean Mona’s a robot lol it’s Hotchkiss Technologies who are running around trying to maintain things and I’m pretty sure Mona’s got a Bluetooth somewhere in her ear

Anyways, I’m gonna cry later on bc I’m falling into Marlene’s trap again but can’t wait for next week aha!!

起 - outro: Wonder (rapline) / intro: Euphoria (vocalist) 承 - outro: Her (rapline) / intro: Serendipity (vocalist=Jimin) 轉 - outro: Tear (rapline) / intro: Singularity (vocalist) 結 - outro: Answer (rapline) / intro: Epiphany (vocalist)

(the intro titles are taken from the words they flashed on the screen at the MMAs as they were paired w the words we fit into the WHAT acronym.. they were shown in this order too..)

Sanji and Zoro's Pact/Sanji's love for Nami

One of the things that has been blatant from the beginning of One Piece is how Nami has a special place in Sanji's heart. Whether it derives from admiration, some type of respect or simple, genuine, love (or the three at the same time), there is something there worth noting.

Oda has also dedicated a lot of colorspreads, manga moments and coverpages to show us that. And in recent chapters, he once again brought up how, even when Sanji does show interest in other girls, it's always Nami who is on his mind the most.

(Also, when we talk about the colorspreads specifically, it's quite interesting how he includes the two together even when the requests only have to do with one of them, not all the time ofc).

And although Oda does not like to focus on romance and love stories in One Piece, he still seems to use them to advance the plot when they exist

A good example is Boa Hancock, whose love for Luffy motivated her to go an extra mile to help him rescue his brother in Impel Down.

So it feels like Sanji's feelings for Nami might also be used as a way to advance the plot.

How exactly?

Well, if we take a look at Sanji's recent development it has been focusing a lot on his inner war of empathy vs. lack of empathy/love vs. science.

We all know that Sanji has suffered a lot at the hands of scientists (his father and his minions) and of their cruel "experiments" (his brothers).

Because of that bad experience and his strong will, he has always been very certain of what he does not want for his life and of the principles he wants to live up to.

He won't beat women

He will feed anyone who is hungry

He won't use his hands in a fight

However, in recent chapters, his behavior might change since his Germa DNA is no longer latent.

Sanji himself was afraid that it would make him behave like his brothers, and with this panel (and although it seemed to be resolved in Wano), we can still suspect that there might be something there worth worrying about.

Now, of course if could mean nothing, but I find it unlikely since Oda even chose to switch the direction of the swirls of his eyebrows to show when Sanji's Germa powers are taking over (it's still a bit difficult to know what exactly happens when they "activate" though, since Sanji's exoesqueleton is always active now).

We also have to remember the pact that Sanji and Zoro made. The awakening of his new powers are what motivated Sanji to ask for Zoro's "help", should they get out of hand.

By the end of Wano, it seemed like there was no need for Zoro to keep his promise any longer,

but if Oda took the time and space to draw panels like the ones below for there to be no pay off in the future, I think he wouldn't have botheredto include them in the first place.

It's also clear that, because of their frequent bickering, everyone wants to see a Sanji vs. Zoro fight, and the pact that they made might be the way Oda found to make these two fight on equal grounds.

Now, do I think Zoro will kill Sanji, like Sanji himself asked? Not exactly.

I think that Zoro might end up helping Sanji kill this Germa personality that seems to be developing within him... but I don't think Zoro will do it entirely on his own.

The other person who might be extremely important is Nami.

Like I said, with the recent chapters, colorspreads, and cover pages, Oda has been once again showing us how much Nami is special to Sanji. And its worth noting that Sanji has also addressed an interesting power called the "power of love" when he protects Nami.

Again, it does seem like a gag, but the more we advance in Future Island Arc, the more it seems to be revolving around the subject of science/rationality against love/desire for other characters as well (I.e. Kuma, York).

Another good example is in Thriller Bark.

Where Sanji fought his "programming" to protect Nami and blamed this behavior to the power of love.

(It's worth noting what Sanji describes what the power of love can do: make the impossible, possible, and blow everything away. Insteresting)

Moving to more recent chapters, we also have this coverpage with its request at the bottom.

It might seem like any other request made for Oda, but I think it's worth noting what he included in the picture that wasn't in the request.

Two things come in mind:

The raccoon priest using the three sword style to "discipline" Sanji

Sanji's worldly thoughts being especificaly about Nami

This cover page was posted during the Wano arc, around 30 chapters before the Pact, so we can kinda consider the racoon strucking Sanji with Zoro's fighting style as a foreshadow for a future Sanji/Zoro fight, right?

But why did Oda also put Nami there?

Well, as Zoro fights Sanji to honor their pact (maybe with the intention to kill him if he sees no hope)... Nami might be the one to make Sanji return to his normal self before it's too late. Making the impossible, possible *wink, wink*

Remember, it has already happened before at Thriller Bark, and it might be a foreshadow to the moment the Power of Love stops being a gag, and becomes a real type of power that can be used in a battle.

So, in the end, Sanji might go back to normal but with total control over his Germa Power... and maybe with another power up? Hehe, who knows.

And maybe, not only will it be important for Sanji to finally know that he will not behave like his brothers anymore... but maybe also for Nami to see how important she is to Sanji.

Although for the audience, it's clear that Sanji holds Nami in a higher regard, it seems like Nami herself might not be aware of that since Sanji does flirt with a lot of women.

Beyond The Spiderverse theory time, and I hope no one gets mad at me about this but...

...I do believe there is a big possibility that Peter B. Parker is going to die, and this will involve Miguel's breaking point which will push him to go against Spots.

I have this theory stuck in my head when seeing how isolated not only from the main Spidersociety team Peter is, but also how he feels let go of his spider-man apprentice and didn't support him against Miguel.

This is obviously because Peter was in crossfire which involved Miguel, a man is suspected he has knows for over a year and HELPED him through the grief of losing his daughter, even when Miguel seems to just brush Peter aside, Peter is familiar with Miguel, even more so than Jess, and then there is Miles who now feels betrayed by his one and only teacher, someone he saw as a role model even when depressed due to a divorce.

Also this could play as Peter not being the only spiderperson in his universe anymore, Mayday is already stated to be a spiderling in development and she will need a Uncle Ben situation to rise. Even if she is young, carrying the weight of her father's legacy might cement this.

Now, returning to the complexity of Miguel and Peter situation here. They are friends, maybe is not evident in the superficial sense when watching the movie for first time, as it seems one-sided because Miguel is distant and cold, but there is familiarity and friendship there.

I mean, Peter was there when Miguel lost his daughter Gabriella, just behind him, and I do believe is not a coincidence the animators did this. Miguel shock and sorrow is palpable , and I wonder what happened then? Afterwards? Who carried battered Miguel to 2099 after he lost the people he loved the most?

As well, Miguel seems distant and tries to isolate himself plenty, but Peter does not care about this, which is not the same as not noticing it. He DOES NOTICE, but there is a deeper layer of something unspoked regarding to what happened that day, because it changed everything.

As well, even when Peter is pushy, Miguel does not push him away, still Miguel, in all his deoression, hurts him while showing Miles the canon events of each one of them. This is because Miguel wants for people to feel his hurt and pain, his sorrow and his depression, and he becomes violent and desperated if no one listen to him, he becomes abusive and destructive against him and also against others. This could be the reason he has nearly no body movements while Mayday was crawling all over him, a symbolism of him not wanting to taint the kid which in some sense symbolices Peter's care, future and parenthood.

And I do believe Peter knows this, for his body language, he does not respond negatively againts Miguel's snarky comments and angry behaviors, he goes and shows him pics of Mayday and even allows the girl to crawls over Miguel, to which the latest says nothing, and Miguel only repriments him but does not push Peter away, because he is desesperate to help the best he can to people he feels need it the most. This seems unchanged until...

"Not you, I had the right amount of you"

I watched that scene several times to pinpoint if Miguel's face is out of annoyance or out of regret to what he is gonna do/say against Peter. Miguel's microexpressions are fantastic during the movie as it shows a lot of emotions even more than other characters around him.

I do believe, maybe I want to believe, is both, annoyance over Peter complete lack of common sense, but also knowing and regreting he will need to push away a good friend, as this friend seems not to realize how high the stakes are and also, his parental skills are seriosly something to be questioned. But the scene plays as if Miguel truly hates what he has to do, just how he said in his own intro.

"Some times I don't like what I have to do"

So, now we knows Peter is going to be in the final movie and he is also bringinf Mayday with him, and I doubt he will be out of the very final fight against Spots, and I think for Miguel is going to be extremely difficult to turn around when his friend is in danger, or when his daughter is.

If it happens, as well, I do not think it will be a quixk dead, I think is going to hurt. Peter might say things to both Miles and Miguel, maybe he will ask Miguel to take Mayday with him to safety, because is important to him, is his daughter and the future of his whole dimension.

For Miles, Peter B. is already an stablished character who is seems as a mentor and parental figure, while for Miguel, Peter is EVERYTHING he would have wanted to do, in some sense he is proud of Peter for having the life himself will never have, and in a more negative and dark side, Miguel might have wished some times for a future where Peter might go away and disappear, for all the pain and sorrow he still experiences due to Gabriella's death.

And if Peter dies, maybe in front of Miguel, or be in front of everyone, Miguel might felt such regret he will snap, regretting not having been ways more careful for what he wished for.

EDIT: As well, is important to realize that Peter B. arc as a mentor and teacher to Miles is already over, Miles choose his path as his own Spider-Man, and Peter does not need to mentor him through it. Miles will be fine without Peter, but I do believe Miguel needs to realize that pushing away his friends and also a posibility of found family is just diving into grief and depression, a self-destructive behaviour as strong as to accept Canon events as facts, is unfair to life itself. And what is more unfair than the sunshine of a man who is Peter, with a little girl and happy wife, with a bright future in front of him, dying when protecting the innocents?
