Bob Iger Returns As The Walt Disney Company CEO As Former CEO Bob Chapek Drops.
The Walt Disney Company announced today that Robert A. Iger is returning to lead Disney as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Iger, who spent more than four decades at the Company, including 15 years as its CEO, has agreed to serve as Disney’s CEO for two years, with a mandate from the Board to set the strategic direction for renewed growth and to work closely with the Board in developing a successor to lead the Company at the completion of his term.
Iger succeeds Bob Chapek, who has stepped down from his position.
“We thank Bob Chapek for his service to Disney over his long career, including navigating the company through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic,” said Susan Arnold, Chairman of the Board. “The Board has concluded that as Disney embarks on an increasingly complex period of industry transformation, Bob Iger is uniquely situated to lead the Company through this pivotal period.
”“Iger has the deep respect of Disney’s senior leadership team, most of whom he worked closely with until his departure as executive chairman 11 months ago, and he is greatly admired by Disney employees worldwide—all of which will allow for a seamless transition of leadership,” Arnold said.
“I am extremely optimistic for the future of this great company and thrilled to be asked by the Board to return as its CEO,” Iger said. “Disney and its incomparable brands and franchises hold a special place in the hearts of so many people around the globe—most especially in the hearts of our employees, whose dedication to this company and its mission is an inspiration. I am deeply honored to be asked to again lead this remarkable team, with a clear mission focused on creative excellence to inspire generations through unrivaled, bold storytelling.”

✊🏾 Just another late night working at my desk. While sketching out ideas for future projects, I decided to have Selma, Lord, Selma” play on the DVD player, rather than just work in gloomy silence. After doing the drawing of Stokley Carmichael on Sunday night, I hope to include more drawings in relation to Black History Month.

Rewatching An Extremely Goofy Movie and I think it’s definitely gotten better over time. I still like the original Goofy Movie more, but the sequel exceeds in the comedy, especially in the animation for the villain:

Doing some research, it looks like most of these shots were animated by Adam Murphy, an animator that worked at DisneyToon Studios, a former satellite studio in Australia that provided animation for various episodes of Disney Afternoon shows and direct-to-video sequels.

I know very little about Tangled the Series but isn’t there another main character that just… no one talks about??
Like, I’ve seen a few episodes and he’s ALWAYS there but I wouldn’t even know he existed from the fans. Did the fandom just unanimously decide they don’t claim him?

Since I watched Once Upon A Studio, I've been seeing a lot of people over all social media a bit upset about Max not being there to react to the entire Goofy thing, and while I agree it would've been a cute little gag, and I ADORE Max Goof, Once Upon A Studio is meant to be only for movies/shorts produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, as that's the singlehand company that's turning 100 years.
That's why we don't see characters from the sequels, as those, like the two Goofy movies, were produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. Same studio that made the shows for Disney Afternoon and now makes them for Disney Channel.
You may wonder, if that's the case, then why did Huey, Dewey, and Louie get to show up? Well, because they were portrayed in the theatrical shorts made by WDAS. We see the Duck Triplets in their iconic outfits from the 40's instead of their 80's/2017 Ducktales versions.
Max Goof's official introduction wasn't until the animated show Goof Troop (again, made by DTVA). Before then, he was only called "Goofy Jr." and he looked like this:
