Some people build incredibly extravagant altars and shrines for the various holy days and rites.

I've fallen into the much less comfortable trap of hand-painting the entire floor of my detached ritual space with a complicated circle diagram that I wash completely away the next morning so no one sees it.

I don't have knees anymore, I have pain collectors.

#I want to explain how satisfying yet painful it is to inscribe an entire 11' circle freehand with a waterbrush and gouache #and the ends meet up like just perfect and you maybe moan in a way that isn't strictly appropriate but goddamn if that ain't beautiful

#art #traditional art #marker #oc art #ocs #oc group: lia crystal darling #oc: lia #oc: rosie #i tried a new type of marker that did NAWT like my paper LOL you can see how much it like soaked in and ate it up #i wanted to try some waterbased grayscale markers cause i like grayscale alcohol markers but i also like using india ink too much #so i wanted to see if i could find something else #i think these will be used more for backgrounds and thumbnailing now #maybe i can try something like filling waterbrushes with specific colours? maybe different dilutions of waterbased dye ink would work #i will have to hashtag experiment

i wanna get started on those requests asap but i also had the brainwave that campus is open again and i can run down to the bookstore and get brushes faster than going downtown, so i’mma do that monday. >:3c
