thinking abt the v series rn.

they are my creatures. the funniest guys ever.

i love the style meter i love the thought of programmers/engineers going hey you know what would make this killing machine better. you know what would make this peace keeping machine better. if we made it sick as hell. if we made it style on everyone. its like giving a roomba a knife. but with guns. my 2 roombas with guns. i love the thought of the guys in the lab building v2: yea shes sick with it. make her cocky as hell this wont be his downfall. it'll be fine. the guys in the lab making v1: lets make this guy get pissed the fuck off. also a little curious. we should make it learn from others, good or bad. fuck my life bro. i loved it when these guys can just. do shit. you can destroy a sandcastle you can make hank whole. you can quote movies. and then with this you can say that they arent truly robots. its like. sure theyre following their programs but like. they do whatever. as the player you gauge decisions for v1 so its like youre the semblance of humanity in there. does this make sense. the nihilism and hope that they each bring to the table is sooooo. in my head there are thoughts in my brain and my lack of brain to words skills is killing me right now. all i know is that the v machines are filled with love and hope and feelings and have to keep on pressing forward. i did not spend 5 1/2 hrs on the first gabe fight and then got him in 5 mins on the second fight im not projecting i prommy. SPEAKING OF GABRIEL HIS ASS IS SOOOO. not funny how themes of religious trauma are here its so awesome and so cool oh my god. hes so silly. what do you mean you followed orders blindly especially from a group of self proclaimed leaders who turned out to not have ur best interest at heart and were using you as a tool for their "justice" FUCK MY LIFEEEEE. pleaseeee i oved it when he killed the council. go white boy go. take ur agency back.

Hope you have a blast with the game, the depth of movement techs and weapon combos is honestly the best part imo.

Plus I'm sure you'll destroy v2 later on, the best thing abt this game is how it makes you want to feel the improvements in the way you use your arsenal, it actively pushes you to not only feel powerful but be powerful.

You know what's one thing I love apart from everything you've already mentioned?

For a game with story as a low priority, there's so much thought put into its presentation. Ultrakill is bursting with so much unspoken character in all its design choices I can't really call it anything other than brilliant.

The idea behind the first V2 fight is a video game classic: include a boss who is basically just you, such that fighting them feels like fighting another player. V2 has all of V1's movement, their Piercer Revolver, and the Core Eject shotgun. Your only real edge in the bossfight is that you found a Nailgun in the Limbo layer so you have one weapon they don't, and that shots ricocheted off coins won't miss. With that in mind, one of the simplest techniques to beating V2 for the first time is hosing them down with the nailgun and then using coins to hit them while they're zipping all over the arena for easy damage. You win, V2 flees with their life, and you get a new Knuckleblaster arm.

But Ultrakill is completely aware of this, and uses that knowledge for sheer dramatic effect. In the 2nd V2 fight, you go up a massive pyramid as a familiar bass line starts to play. You enter the throne room, and V2 is there, waiting. They stand up, crack their knuckles, and reveal a new trick: they got a nailgun now too, and can hose you down just as fast as you did to them back in Limbo. You panic a bit, toss a coin for the old reliable trick to hitting a fast moving target, and V2 whips out their revolver and ricochets a shot off of YOUR coin as you think "Oh. Fuck."

It makes the chase down the pyramid so intense. You HAVE to end this rivalry here— V2 learns fast and there's no guarantee V1 can come out on top if a third duel were to happen—but at the same time V2 fucked up by coming back for another round in the first place. Their life was already spared back in Limbo; chasing V1 deeper into hell just to exact vengeance was NOT a smart move, and that's why the climactic duel takes place in the Greed layer baby. It's thematic!

ULTRAKILL Spoilers.

I've had this idea in my head around my Ultrakill OC version of V3 (which i know plenty of people have done already. this is my take)

The idea is focused around it being the protagonist of a potential "Ultrakill 2". I'll explain more under the cut, because it's all spoilers

------------------------------------------------------------- V3 Type: ??? Data: After the events of the previous 30 hours in which the V1 model wiped out many of the layers of Hell, its successor V2, and the Archangel Gabriel, it ultimately succumbed to the weight of Hell collapsing in on it. Hell Itself, (surviving the exchange, as it always has) lamented on the conquest of V1 and its defeat. Hell did not hate V1 for destroying large portions of it. Hell always knew it would survive. In fact, It adored the machine for bringing such death, such war and mayhem to the deepest pits of Itself. It loved the machine, and it mourned its loss.

War for the sake of war. Death for the sake of death. Fuel for the sake of fuel. Hell loved nothing more than an endless cycle of torment, of death and rebirth eternal. Love, indeed, is all It felt for the fallen machine, now with its cycle of near death and instant refueling come to a close.

When the Great Beast saw its love fall under its own weight, it let out a terrifying shriek. A scream that echoed in horrific and eldritch intensity. A scream of loss, and pain, and love. Its billion tentacles writhing, and Its billion eyes crying, It knew It only had one recourse of action. It created a Vessel, pooling Its unholy energy into a formation directly resembling the V1 model, to create the most agile and defensible Demon ever formed. It transferred Its consciousness into the Vessel, ensuring the fate of Its dimension to be utterly destroyed.

The unspeakably colossal dimension once known as Hell began to erupt without its essence residing inside of it, and the newly formed V3 swiftly made an escape for Purgatory through the pits of Treachery. Barely making its exit, V3 rode the shockwave created by the destruction of Its realm to the top of the now cracking and falling mountain of Purgatory, sure to fall into the empty void of Hell.

The Newborn Goat, The Last Creation, The Null Ouroboros, V3, made a war path to the gates of Heaven, forcing its way inside amidst the pandemonium and Angels reacting to the destruction of the Hell dimension, as well as Purgatory beginning to fall because of it. It began Its final quest to destroy Paradise, bringing the circle of the creation to a close.

IT WILL END AS IT BEGAN; WITH NOTHING. -------------------------------------------------------------

So yeah V3 is Hell taking on the appearance of V1 after it dies as a monument to its conquest because it loved it soooo much. And going on to destroy the place with any life remaining, being Heaven, and eventually fights its own creator in a battle for the fate of the universe. or whats left of it.

Also because It's literally Hell It would have more manipulation of the blood It absorbs, having cool blood wings for increased movement, and tentacles for rapid attacks that don't require Its otherwise occupied arms. I imagine if this was actually a game, it would have a max of 200 health to represent how its stronger and more durable than V1, but this would be balanced by being able to use blood abilities that cost some health.

Anyway Yea I Just Think It's Neat

V3's pronouns are It/Its, capital "i" necessary.

“This was how they were behind closed doors all the time!” I hear you and I’ve always been someone who believed this as well, but lately I’ve been wondering, “What if this clinginess is an (indirect) result of the breakup?” Not in a bad way but I like to think that the lessons of V1 and being broken up for well over a year (with new relationships in the middle) gave them space and time to reevaluate everything and, though it’s beautiful to think “Oh this is how they’ve always been”, it’s also kinda cool to think “This is what they’ve always wanted to be and knew they could be and they finally get to do it now.” Like the separation and the falling in love again (not that they ever stopped loving each other) brought stronger feelings. I truly think this that we are witnessing is V1 on crack. Like worse (better) than ever. Am I making sense?? I really would love to know (and I’ll never know) if this is just how it was behind closed doors all those years back or if the people around them now are like “FFS this is worse than ever, they’ve weren’t this into each other back then, as much as they loved one another” Just thoughts.

I understand what you're trying to say Anon, but I do 1000% believe this was just how they were behind closed doors, we just never were privy to it because they didn't want us to be. They wanted to keep their relationship private and special btwn the two of them. I just think they went a wee bit overboard on the process lol. 😅

Plus, I don't consider their behavior "clinginess" at all.... (huh??🥴) I just think they're madly in love with each other, not just in a romantic sense, but also on a deep FRIENDSHIP sense (which is the strongest love combination of all if you ask me 🤷🏾‍♀️), and they're just simply behaving like a normal couple while out in public lol. 😆 😂

But yea, you don't date, regularly are intimate with someone, and are madly in love with that person for YEARS without having a bunch of PDA and intimate moments with them behind closed doors. 😏 Just because WE never saw them engaging in that out in the open, it doesn't mean that they weren't like this behind closed doors lol. 😂

So I firmly believe they were like this the entire time, we just never were given the opportunity to see it. Remember how that French interview leaked that they were holding hands during one HOCO interview? And that was years ago back in 2017 when their relationship was barely a year old lol. 😅

With that said, I definitely agree with you that the fact that they are no longer hiding obsessively in public, and are just "going with the flow" now days has only DEEPENED their love for each other even more. And usually, time tends to make people love each other even MORE, because now there's so much history there.

A married couple loves each other very much when they get married on their wedding day, but it doesn't even being to compare to the love a stable, happy, older married couple that's been married for 35+ years feels for each other. They've been through ups and downs, they've probably had kids together, they've seen the times when they've been there for each other, etc. Their love has only grown in time. ❤🥰

But yea, I don't for one bit moment feel that Tom and Zendaya are JUST NOW engaging in physical displays of affection for each other because they got caught last July lol 😆 😂 Are you kidding me? 🤣

Their physical affection for each other may not have been PUBLIC during the 1.0 era, but they have been like this the whole entire time. Trust and believe lol 😆

Not a Fan of RWBY: Arrowfell, Here's Why

Warning for opinions, if you don't like these critical posts just don't read.

I hate the characterizations of Team RWBY so much. It's like they reversed back to their volume 1 selves but became more annoying. Their whole character growth I'd neglected. Ruby is super childish to the point it's exaggerated for her v1 standards, Weiss is really awful to Penny and unlikable and that conflict with Winter is contradictory to their canon interactions and bond. Yang is just blonde bubbly feisty girl ignoring that she's been working on her anger issues in the show. Blake is . . . alright, I guess.

The villain being pro unionization and then being defeated with the protagonists never taking his criticisms into account and just leaving the societal issues ignored . . . man we've been over this already. *stares at the White Fang arc*

Atlas was just the wrong location for the game entirely. The actual game is very lighthearted and casual and really should have been set in Vale instead. Atlas is a setting designed for a more dark and serious story which is RWBY post volume 3. So the tone just clashes and feels off.

I'll put these though, I love the animated cutscenes. They're absolutely awesome to watch and some of them had me laughing my ass off. The animators put out awesome work and keep improving with every new release and you love to see it.

So yea, here is my rant lmao.

Also before people get annoying: I actually like the main show a lot. I just don't really like Arrowfell and Ice Queendom very much. So don't come in my inbox with some clownery about me being 'a hatedom member', smh, I'm not involved on any 'sides' of the fandom. I just follow my own opinion.

Also, if you're gonna ask why I 'bought it if RT is something I hate' . . . bruh I watched playthroughs, Arrowfell isn't available on the Steam store in the country I'm from.

You've mentioned in a previous post that your Michael aims to either kill or imprison Fallen Gabe in Treachery.

Wouldn't that make the Ferryman a target?

I imagine that some of the virtues Gabe used to command would be fully aware of the Ferryman's devotion which may prompt Michael to seek them out assuming they would know where Gabe is hiding, and I don't think he would be nice about it, especially since the terminal entries say that the Ferryman's idols are considered perverse and probably seeing all the high quality Gabe fanart would set him off.

Maybe seeing first-hand the cruelty of heaven that Gabe has been unknowingly shielding them from would help them see that the kindness, grace and other traits they idolize in Gabe are the very things heaven seeks to punish may prompt the Ferryman to try to see Gabe beyond something on a pedestal or something disgraced.

Also the Ferryman has to lay low on Gabe's and V1's couch because Michael is destroying their Ferry (rude).

oooughhh michael and the ferryman are a very interesting pair to me, mostly because their dynamic would be absolutely rancid - michael is entirely, unforgivingly ruthless with sinners, he despises each and every one regardless of their repentance or their genuine regret, shame, or attempts to make things right. even the virtuous of limbo, even those that made a single mistake or were simply foolish, michael wishes to see them all suffer the full extent of their punishments and nothing less. he is repulsed by them, a result of his internalized guilt for condemning lucifer forced to turn into dogmatic adherence to the heaven/hell system to make it right in his head. however, with my recent development on michael, he's gotten even further reason to loathe the ferryman in particular - with his current state of decay, it's highly possible he will one day be exactly like them. and that makes him face himself in a way he absolutely abhors.

however, this would be greatly compounded by what he sees on the ferryman’s ship. they have an unpleasant introduction, the ferryman knowing well that they are being visited by the prince of heaven, the very angel that binds all of hell...and they couldn’t help but think, no matter how unlikely, no matter how much they truly know their hope of salvation will never come to pass, that perhaps michael is finally here to release them. they bow so low, face to the ground, but michael dispels their dim flicker of hope by lashing chains to them and violently removing them from his presence. they crash to the other end of the deck, hearing curt words commanding them to keep their eyes down, to not behold him as they are unworthy (he can’t stand it, he can’t bear to think of a sinner knowing his wretched form)

he then takes to the interior, out of a driving rain he cannot feel and that the ferryman notices does not light with his presence (gabriel was so radiant, yet michael seems to have only made the night darker...or perhaps they have imagined it) but when he crosses that threshold and is confronted with the ferryman’s works, with their ship crafted for the obvious comfort of sinners, with their blasphemous idols made of twisted hell mass...with their reverence of gabriel in such fine detail he knows they must have studied him, fresh fury lights his numb body beside an aching, sickening grief. gabriel’s likeness adorns so many of the halls of hell, he was beloved, and this ship is like a holy shrine in his honor. this is how michael failed. this is how gabriel fell without him. taken in by sinners, tricked by his own limitless, weak-willed compassion. none of this would have happened if he had stayed. gabriel would still be with him. he would still be alive, whole. it’s all his fault, everything is his fault, he abandoned them all and the punishment he now suffers strikes him with unbearable clarity

in his stillness, in his inability to act, the ferryman had followed him at a distance, a good host who would give anything for him...but in doing so, they see him. he snaps around at their approach and they witness him, his cracked, bloody helm, his ravaged body barely hidden beneath tarnished holy vestments, and they are nearly overpowered with the smell of molded, rotten roses. their immediate, automatic apologies are drowned out by michael’s furious condemnation, a sin, a sin to look upon him and to disobey his holy word. ordained as the most high in all of heaven, he curses the ferryman even as they bow low before him once more and he spews his vitriol against them in retaliation for their defiance (his humiliation). this is a perversion of worship, do they not understand how they are hated by the lord and by his whole host of angels? they are repulsed by the sinners’ very existence, a waste of god’s love, a waste of all he gave, a worthless, ugly waste that god should have destroyed once again in all his fury. whatever gabriel had said, whatever hope he offered, was nothing but the empty words of an angel filthier even than all the sinners of hell. they debase the lord, they debase his holiness and his divine works with their idols, they shame the heavenly host with their love of gabriel, they defy the order the most high has set by their luxurious ship. disgusting, vile, loathsome, the ferryman is locked still as michael finally moves toward them and brutally strikes them with his chains to draw their blood, to make them pay for twisting the worship of god into something so repugnant. Each blow cracks harder than the last, their bones beginning to splinter as they dare not raise a single hand in their defense and they’re only left in one piece because michael soon strips them of their holy cloth, undeserving of even a scrap from god’s kingdom.

yet doing so knocks him freshly off-balance, seeing the emptiness of the ferryman’s sockets, his own half skeletal hand closed fast around the garment he feels absolutely no warmth from despite its brilliant glow. everything he’d done, to end up like this, to become like them. the ferryman flees his presence in that moment, michael barely registering their absence as he begins to tremble, as he’s overwhelmed with everything he’s lost, everything that’s gone so wrong...and again, when he feels himself so close to breaking, he has to turn back to god, back to his order and to his purpose. he razes the ferryman’s ship, personally tearing down every artifact of gabriel and setting the ship ablaze even as it starts to sink. he wants nothing left of it, he needs this affront to god reduced to ash as he prays for forgiveness for ever allowing such heresy to exist, and the ferryman can’t even look back as all their work is plunged into the sea of the damned. they must find refuge, they must escape before michael realizes he’s failed again and fresh flowers bloom from his ailing body. and they can seek out no one but gabriel, aided by the virtues still loyal to him (they know the ferryman too, and gabriel asks for them to be watched over despite tense relations).

gabriel is shocked by the ferryman’s state, robbed of their precious holy cloth and battered to such extremes he knows many other husks would have died. they have no right to ask him to shelter them but he does without question, tending to their broken bones as they stay silent on what’s happened to them. they can find no words, so assaulted by the prince of heaven that they had run to find care and comfort offered freely by a demon. this angel who offered no mercy, who said there was no mercy anywhere else for them, all the thoughts they circulated night after night in their own mind laid bear by the ruler of angels. eventually their words return, but all they can ask is one simple question despite being tortured by so many: what happened to saint michael? and gabriel understands then, he sees what michael will do if he can’t bring him to reason or kill him outright – he is determined to punish any sinner still alive and become a tyrant over all of hell, not stopping even if he gets what he wants in binding gabriel. there is no mercy left in him, he is consumed by the will of god, and all he knows to do is punish...a true zombie, if it’s possible for an angel. but all gabriel can say is that he is sick, suffering as they all are.

I just can't decide between the two fors Ruby because... it kind of goes both way ??? Like Ruby definitely feels as INFP for the first half of the series; she's got a clear Fi > Ne preference... But then when she develops her Tert in V6 it's just... Te ? And she really doesn't show much Si actually she fits more the Si inf vibe in the form of forgetting about bad memories and her mom until people dig it up and she's like "nooo !" ?? So it looks like Te > Si but also Fi > Ne; conclusion idfk

Weiss • ISTJ 1w2 6w5 3w4 sp/so

Clear Fi tert rearing its head along with the 1 so I'm going with ISTJ; I also never really saw any Ne. Her type isn't too disagreed upon so tell me if you want a lenghtier explanation.

Wooh this might get the anger of some (i have experience with the INFJ typers) but Blake goddamn REEKS of Fi. Less so recently but for the first seasons oh my god. She straights up catch you by the shirt and tells you "I'm doing the right thing"; and said right thing is so heavily dependant on her own subjectives values, which is why Blake can't reconcile with the current White Fang; because she doesn't have a strong Je vision of "what objectively works in the end", she only sees actions in terms of immediate right and wrong, and this b&w dichotomy stems from herself. What the WF is doing is wrong and the circumstances don't matter for judging the morality of their actions (of course I'm not talking about murder here bc that's pretty wrong ALL THE TIME but for example the stealing occuring in V1 bc of the WF is a better example)

In my list Pyrrha is currently written down as ISFJ but that's mostly based on the general consensus and me wanting to get rid of the XX. I don't actually have any convincing arguments to decide on Ni or Si, so I could go either way if someone else makes their case well. I feel like she's Fe aux more than dom, but even about that I could change my mind. Pyrrha didn't have that much screentime in the end :((

Ironically I'm not sure about his type, kind of like you. I've mentionned I'm not very good at picking up on Ti right ? And Ren was a background character before V4 really. I had him written down as ISTP for a while but I've seen some convincing arguments for ISTJ so I might lean toward that actually but who knows. The thing I'm very confident about is his 5 fix = )

Again, not enough screentime for me to make an educated guess. My only certainty is : not high Fi. It's the source of their conflicts. Blake confidence in absolute right & wrong, tracing lines in the sand between acceptable & unacceptable. Whereas Ilia can only shake her head and say "Because it works", or cry out "I don't know what else to do !"

I would personally call him an INFJ. I... never really got INTP vibes from him ? I don't see the Fe inf work out with his interactions : he's always rather at ease, he knows how to navigate around people... His focus inherently lies on doing what's best for the "group", the people, humanity. Fx functions are both concerned with ethics, in different ways, and I think Oz reflects that well. He IS concerned with the moral weight of his actions, but it's a more adaptable and unpersonnal concern than Fi people. He regards Ironwood's soul machines as something wrong, but can still agree to use it if the situations demand it for example. So... if the INFJ + 5 makes sense to you, well that's what I'm typing him personally. I also feel like Ni fits him more than Ne. Ozpin has a very linear way of planning, he does use his fair share of symbolism in every day conversation... Even when taking decisions, he... kind of cares about the meaning of things a lot ? It's hard to explain but like; the way he highlights the difference between an army and a guardian, and the emotionnal response it brings. I don't know it feels like there's some Ni vibes in there x)

Oscar's type honestly isn't the one I would have the easiest time explaining in lenght but yea. It's mostly vibes; also just like Ozpin he doesn't seem to have a particularly Fi reasonning. And he feels more grounded, I don't really remember any Ni so... yay ?

Ironwood • ENFJ 6w5 1w2 3w4 (pre-Vol8); ENTJ (post-Vol8)

Might be weird if you think he was a dictator from the start, but I kind of entertained the idea of Ironwood being Fe dom ? From his very first interaction it was very clear that he was a Je dom to me; he's all about objective results; he doesn't give off the "internal framework" or "personnal values" vibe AT ALL; so it was more a matter of picking Te or Fe. He LOOKS super Te don't get me wrong; but he also has an enneagram tritype that is very common amongst XXTJs (and TJs stereotypes thus derive from it). And just like Oz, his focus at all time seemed to be the greater good and doing what's best for the people still. So I was like... Eh, a "harsh" ENFJ I think that's interesting ? Plus Fe ethics actually derive from their environment, kinda like "everyone agrees that Y is wrong", and if you consider that James is from Atlas... Well his way of thinking and ethics align pretty well with the military.

His character took a turn for the worse in V8 (whether too quick or not depends on who you ask) and past that point he's a clear ENTJ; but I feel like it was more debatable before that. Idk though I might be overthinking this in the hope of making more interesting combinations xD

Qrow • ISTP 4w3 6w7? 1w9? sp/sx

I don't really see anything else than ISTP for Qrow... But he's not a character I would want to find Ti arguments for either.

Most villains get called ENTJ at the first occasions tbh zlqfznhqzkf but I think it fits Raven for the most part actually...

The whole Schnee family has the same enneagram tritype in different order/different wings, it's ridiculous I think she has a higher Te than Weiss, and Fi inf fits her more. She struggles more to reconcile with her emotions and the idea of a personal right/wrong than her little sis.

Perfect example of a healthy 4, she's a great friend a cutie pie. ... Sorry we were talking about MBTI x) Well again, textbook ENFP. Not much to debate here.

I never got Fe vibes from her tbh, I just think she's a 2. And Fe as a function is very infused with 2 stereotypes. So yea. Like, she isn't even that worried about the morality of her actions or anything more than the other villains. She just cares more about her personal relationships and being loved, so she automatically looks much nicer, especially with 2 mechanisms of trying to make herself useful and needed. Also because she's surrounded by 8-ish people xD

The only vibe he gave me is Si somewhere because of all his talks about learning from the past and everything repeats itself and it's a mine of informations at Mountain Glen... That's really the only time I tried to put down anything for him, and it was Si + 5. He could be some kind of xNTP nerd too for sure, but that's more vibe and I couldn't make an actual argument for it.
