Part 34 Here! / Part 35 Here! / Part 36 Here! / Part 39 Here! / Part 40 Here! <This is Part 41! Finale>
* Your feet brush against the rim of your car as you jump out of the car, your wedding ring glittering on your finger.
* “We didn’t get enough mint.” You sigh, and Edward shrugs beside you
* “Do you think the cows would make do with parsley?” He laughs when you wrinkle your nose.
* You’ve built a decent life in Volterra, you have a large farm on the outskirts of the city, occasionally you travel to the castle to help with the work, but for the most part you’re just a figurehead - a symbol for the cause, it’s only been about a year since you and Edward got married, but life is good
* You’re making your way to the porch of your small villa when you see two figures on the porch
* “Alec, Jane what are you-“
* “We want to live with you.” Alec blurts out, and Jane smacks her own forehead, yanking on his arm
* “Do you remember what I said about Tact?” She hisses
* Though you suppose her complaint falls on deaf ears since your smile gives Alec all the reassurance he needs
* “Well there will have to be some ground rules,” you say, and Edward nods beside you. “You’re not allowed to directly drink from any of the animals.” Edward gives you a pointed look. “Oh, right, and you’re not allowed to drink from Edward either.”
* Jane wrinkles her nose “trust me I wouldn’t want to, he smells like spoiled milk.”
* “It’s all the gelato.” You nod, and Edward seems slightly hurt.
* “I would never hurt an animal, they’re such kind creatures.”
* “Well then welcome to the coven.”
* They adapt well, Edward teaches Alec how to cook
* “The onions have to be tender before you add in the minced garlic, otherwise it’ll burn.”
* And Jane helps you with opening your restaurant
* “It’s going to be like a speakeasy,” you say. “We’ll have human food out front, and blood in the back.”
* “A double operation.” She nods
* You spend your free time playing songs on the piano with Alec and Jane watching with wide eyes
* “Will you play that one again?”
* Alec is the first to become human.
* “I wonder if it might be fun, to go to school, or to fall in love,” his eyes flicker between you and Edward. “Just to live a normal life.”
* Edward poses as his older brother and enrolls him into the boys academy nearby,
* Jane isn’t ready yet
* “I can’t imagine being accepted by people after all I’ve done.”
* “That’s okay,” you tell her, hugging her to your side. “You can take your time.”
* The days fall around you the leaves of a tree, days filled with so much joy you don’t notice they’ve gone at all
* James and Victoria find you much later, with James wearing a grin.
* “I had a feeling you would be here.” He has a penchant for taking care of the animals, as well as helping Marcus in the castle
* You even see Rosalie and Emmett when they come by your restaurant to visit you
* “And look who we brought!” Rosalie holds up a baby so beautiful venom drips down your cheeks.
* “Can I hold them?” So small and fragile, you hold them for only a moment before giving her to Edward.
* “Alice and Jasper haven’t turned, Alice likes the otherworldly vibe.”
* “I’ve noticed.”
* “Carlisle turned but Esme hasn’t.”
* “Really?”
* “Yeah I figure if she doesn’t follow he’ll have to turn back to keep their marriage alive.” You laugh at that
* As the days go by more and more of your friends and family become human, first it was Irina, then Eleazer, then Carmen. Tanya and Kate still remain vampires but you have a feeling they’ll cross over soon
* “You know, you could turn now too. Maybe not for long, just a handful of months.” Edward says. “If you’re worried, I can turn back.” You shake your head
* “I’m waiting for Jane, I don’t want her to think she’s holding me back or to feel like she was abandoned.” He only nods
* You’re not sure if Jane will ever be comfortable enough to turn human again, but you’re willing to wait
* It’s what family does
* For a while she doesn’t show any disposition of it, not until you hear the bell from your door ring, and four arms wrapping around you, tackling you to the ground
* “Hey Bella, Hey Jessica, long time no see.”
* It’s strange seeing them again, both of them so comfortable in young adulthood
* Jessica is going to Washington State, and getting her Bachelors in business
* “So you’re going to be CEO in ten years is what I’m hearing.”
* “Pretty much.”
* “Well remember your friends when your rich and famous.”
* “Oh shut up.” You laughs smacking your arm
* “What about you Bella?”
* She holds out her hand, a jewel glistening on her ring finger
* “To Leah?”
* Bella shakes her head
* “It didn’t work out with us, I always got the feeling she was hiding something”
* Probably the shapeshifter bit
* “Actually it’s this guy who I go to school with, his name is Riley.”
* Like Riley Beers??!? The college student from Seattle?
* “You’d love him, I’ll bring him with me next time, how did you afford this place by the way?”
* The Volturi bestow you with a lot of gifts when you save them from an eternity of working in toxic conditions
* “Micro loans and a lot of selling everything of value” you laugh, you did end up selling all of the jewelry you got in the wedding for this place
* Jane watches you from behind the counter, a small smile on her face
* That night after Edward and Alec have gone to sleep you sit beside her on the couch
* “What should we watch?”
* She’s quit for a moment, before her mouth opens
* “I’m ready to turn.” She says and the remote clatters to the ground
* “What?”
* “I want to be human, you made such beautiful friends, even after all this time they still love you, I want that too.” She admits.
* You watch as the color returns to Jane’s face, the freckles begin to reappear, the pink under one of her face, and the deep blue of her eyes.
* You hug her when she’s back
* It takes a few months for you to get comfortable
* For James to reassure you that he’s comfortable in vampirism and more than happy to take care of Jane and Alec
* For Marcus to assure you that he’s not going anywhere
* “I’ve survived all these centuries, what’s a few more?”
* For Sulpicia to rest her hand in yours as you both stare at the portrait of Didyme
* “It’s only fair you reap the reward of the seeds you’ve planted.”
* For Edward to hold you hands in his your forehead pressed against his
* “No matter what you decide, I’ll always love you, and I’ll stay with you - in whatever form you need.”
* You hold the vial in both hands
* “Is they all there is?” You wonder
* Parting your lips and finally, finally becoming human
Epilogue
* You watch his face carefully leaning forward, smirking a bit to yourself as you see the bright red or the apple on the cover
* “So how is it?”
* He only scowls
* “How can one person get so much wrong?”
* You laugh
* “I thought that bit about you stalking her was funny though.” Edward’s scowl only deepens
* “What did they say again? That the plot was inspired by a dream?” You snort. You’re sure it very much did feel like a dream when you approached that woman at a hotel bar, a little tipsy mind you, and told her your entire life story
* You thought it would be funny, maybe they’d see you as some unhinged degenerate
* Instead now there’s a book about you
* Well sort of
* “Come on we’re going to miss our flight.” Edward says, chucking the book into the trash. His gold eyes glimmering from the airport window
* You only nod, your one red eye and one gold eye twinkling as you make your way to the terminal, you hand laced through his.

Desire part I Alec Volturi
A/N: Also had this shit it's a long one so buckle up and relax 😌 also this is about movie alec never read the the books.
Tumblr media
Alec POV
Never in the rest of my never-ending life would I have wanted something, no someone so bad. It bothers me to want someone, to hold to want, to desire but my cold blood rages on and a never-ending storm. The dark residue of the burning flames and grey smoke surrounding me and my sister remain, staining my heart from red to black. How can I love and want something I hated the most, the thing I use to be… a human, but I decided that day when master Aro turned me into a vampire, I would cause the most destruction. Leaving behind my humanity and rationality as they did to me and my sister. I left that village red and let the flames rage on to hear the terror I caused but the time Jane and I were done we left it black, charred to nothing every human down to the crawling creatures perished and that’s when we joined the Volturi. They gave us endless possibilities to have the things that we could never obtain in our old life. But if I’m being honest, I remember so much but every time I remember something good I remember the smoke, the fire and the flames. But can Y/n change me… do I even want to change at all and have the world be cruel once more... to take something precious for me. I don’t think I can…..
Y/n’s POV
Present Day….
Its been a while since I’ve been back in forks with the events of what happened to my sister Bella Swan, she’s not my biological sister but she feels like it anyway. Charlie is a great dad and I couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver for someone to take care of me. I missed her and dad. I finally graduated high school and Bella and the Cullen’s came back for a visit or at least that’s what I thought anyway. I knew all their secrets them being vampires and wolves the whole shebang which didn’t bother me because when she told me, I laughed in her face and called my sister a buffoon for thinking I was going to fall for some lame prank, everyone in the Cullen house laughed that day, even Edward laughed too. I still didn’t believe her until she told Emmette to show me and scared me half to death!. I tell you this man picked me up and threw me into the air, I was free-falling I thought I was gonna die but he caught me in mid-air and put me down. As soon as I got my bearing and was able to get on my feet, I ran to the nearest bush and threw up. But after that day I never really spoke about it again we just went about our normal lives, I would see my sister, chill withness and life went on but my birthday was today and that’s when shit hit the fan. The Cullen’s also seemed to get in trouble with Volturi it never failed. And to be frank with you I’m surprised that the Cullen’s are still thriving, alive sort of and well because if this Big and Bad Volturi were cruel from what I heard. “Don’t give second chances, to me that’s a bunch of crap.”
As I was reminiscing I was brought out of my wandering train of thought by my Dad Charles, he hates I made that his pet name.
“Hey kiddo happy birthday, I bought you a present I hope you like it.”
Y/n opened her present
“Dad you got me and art supplies, these are all so expensive, you should have, seriously. But it thank you.”
“Well I know how you love your artwork and the things you create are quite beautiful so, your works should be shown to the world and every artist needs good supplies, so yeah. Oh, I forget bells called and said to meet her at the Cullen’s she has a surprise for you. Gosh, every time I see her it’s like she never ages.’
I pretend not to hear the last part.
“Sorry, what was that dad?”
“Oh nothing kid, go have fun and be careful at night I won’t be home for a while I’ll be going on a getaway.”
“Yeah, yeah old man, you told me nearly a thousand times it practically drilled in my brain, Now go enjoy yourself with you new soon, I hope fiance with Ms.Sue….hhhmm VEEERRY interesting.”
I raised my eyebrows and winked.
“Hope you guys have a great time.”
“ Stop that. I see you later I have gotta go. Please for your poor old man be good. Don’t be another Bella.”
“You got it, commander! SEE Ya!”
I saluted bye to my father.
“Your one strange kid, You know that.”
“YYYEEES, you tell all the time now gooooo, sue’s probably waiting on you. Love you BYYYEEEE!”
“Love you too, later kid.”
I watch my dad drive off and then go back to the kitchen to eat my birthday cake Sue made me earlier and drooped it off and she left a note with a handmade beaded bracelet.
“ happy birthday love, you beautiful young woman and I hope you looked the bracelet I made for you. And don’t worry I’ll take care good care of your dad ; )”
I laughed she’s was the sweetest woman I knew, she always treated me like her own daughter. I dug into my cake, showed and then headed for the Cullen’s. Finally arriving at the cullen’s I didn’t even have time to part before Alice jumped on the hood of my car.
“ HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/NNNNNN!!!!”
“DAMMIT, ALICE REALLY YOU ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!”
“ Y/n stop being so dramatic, if you did I would have seen it and therefore not have scared you, you’ll live , now hurry up everyone’s waiting for you.’’
I climbed out og=f the car and headed in
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N’’
“ Aww, thanks guys”
“ Here a present from me you.”
Alice put a black box in my hand. I pulled out a Y/F/C dress.
“Alice this is beautiful. I can’t , wait are thohes jewels real I really can’t.
“Yes, you can now go try it on.”
I couldn’t argue with Alice, if she wanted it her way, thats what it was going to be. When I came back everyone stared in aww.
“Woah, you look amazing, geat Alice, trying to shgow me up shes my sister.”
“Sorry Bella, WhenCullen’s I saw the dress I knew it was perfect for Y/n.’’
“Well i guess its, my turn here you go its from me and Edward hope you like it.’’
I opened the small box and in it was a vintage polaroid camera.
“Guys I Love it!!!”
I squealed, hugging both Edward and my sister, smiles spread across their faces.
“Your welcome ( insert pet nme Edward gives you.)”
I hope you didn’t forget about me.”
“Ness of course not! Were Gal Pals!”
AS the night went on musicand laqughter the night went on pretty smoothly, well until Alice almost dropp[ed my cake, that look in her eye a vision which was never good sometimes. I hoped it was good but her expression was sad mixed with worry. Carlisle spoke:
“Alice whats wrong-”
Before carlisle finished speaking she cut him off.
“ The Volturi... their coming…”
Bella:
“WHAT!, WHY!?”
“ They’re coming for Y/N, to kill her… because she isn’t turned”
Edward:
“We have half to get her out of here.”
Rosalie :
It’s too late for that, there gonna find her anyway.”
Carlisle:
“Roses is right, for now we must prepare for the worst and the best-case scenario.”
Y/n :
“ whats the worst.”
Y/n respond the fear and terror in her voice.
Carlisle:
“It’s Death and the best is becoming a.”
“ Bloodsucker.”
Rose said with pain and anger invoice.
“Well, there’s nothing we can do now let’s get ready, Alice when are they coming,” Jasper spoke.
“There already, here.”
Then there was a knock on the door and there they were the Volturi, in person, they look much more terrifying knowing the dire situation you’re in. Carlisle welcomed them in. You knew every one of them because Carlisle showed you pictures of them.
“Aro it’s nice to see you again.”
“Same to you Carlisle, might I say wha-.”
Caius the blonde hair man spoke.
“Brother, we’re not here for pleasures, where’s the human so Felix, can deal with the disgusting creature.”
“ I’m disgusting, you look like a lab rat.”
“Oh, you dastardly little beast wait till ii get my hands on you.”
“No.”
Alec spoke
“Alec, you speak when you’re spoken to.”
At this point, the blondie Caius was enraged and ready to take me out himself. But Aro stepped in.
“Now, now brother we did not come here for a fight only for the girl to come with us.”
“What no, you can’t take her. I won’t let you!!” As Bella stepped in front of me.
“Well, my dear it’s not your decision it was fate and it turns out Dear Y/n is Alec’s mate, so, therefore, she will be coming with us or she dies.”
Y/n stayed silent as a mouse in the affair that was going on but looked over her sister’s shoulder to see Alec and his Sister jane staring back. Alec was expressionless, but jane on the other hand showed disgust probably at the fact that her brother’s mate was not a vampire as of yet. I snapped out of the trance I was in looking at Alec.
Marcus the sombre face man spoke.
“Bella I assure you, that your sister is Alec’s mate and no harm would come to her.”
With that, the conversation was over and everyone started at me knowing I had two choices, to die or to live forever young. I didn’t know if I wanted any of those options but it seems life has given me a poor set of cards that I have to deal with.
“Well, Y/n.”
Aro held out his hand with a glint in his eye. Because she probably already knew my answer. And I took his hand.
“Okay I-I guess, I’ll go.’
“Y/n No!,”
My sister shouted but there was nothing she could do, and I didn’t want to die yet.
“Please, don’t take her, she doesn’t want this.”
Caius spoke.
“Well, we don’t always get what we want now do we.”
With that, I hugged everyone to say goodbye. I was sad because I didn’t even get today goodbye to Charlie or Sue. But I felt scared and was curious about what was to come. Y/n fell asleep on the plane feeling like an eternity of trying to sleep with eyes all on her.
Alec’s POV
A human… my mate the very thing I hate but she’s beautiful.
Felix spoke:
“Alec stop staring at her like that. You probably made her uncomfortable.”
“I’m not staring at her. And what does it matter to you anyway.”
Demetrie sp[oke
“Maybe you should get to know he-”
“Absolutely not, she disgusts me, and is going to make the rest of my days a living hell.”
Aro spoke
“now, now Alec my child, that’s not something you should say about your, mate, its very rare to find one again if you will ever find one again so you must cherish her and not waste nor dwell on the past.”
“ With all due respect master, my brother does not need a mate because we have each other.”
Marcus spoke
“Dear jane it will be different, for you as well once you find your forever person. Alec, it might not be easy for you to trust but with time you’ll learn to appreciate the gift you have received.”
Thatès the thing I didn’t want to trust anybody besides my sister and that was gonna get between us well maybe if I treat them horribly or maybe ignore them, they would want to go away on their on
A few hours later
Y/n POV
When I had awoken again I was in an unfamiliar bed, one that wasn’t my own. I slow;y got us checking my surroundings. Well, I was still unsure of what to do, but I found a pair of fresh clothes to put on. The good thing was I was able to keep my art supplies and the gifts everyone had given me. So instead of sulking in a room, I got dress after I showered and headed out on my own. Somehow with all the wandering, I did I was finally able to find the kitchen, well only because I smelt the eggs and bacon and boy I was starving, so I quickly made way and there I met Heidi.
“Goodmorning Y/n, I’m glad the clothes I put outfit you well and I see you’re an artist, well I must say that artists don’t all have to be mad to be good or starving how about, I show you around and you can find a place to paint the garden would be lovely.”
She said with a warm smile.
“Uhh, that-that would be nice thank you.”
“ Your welcome now hurry and eat a long day ahead of you"

What would Aro do (WWAD) when he was stalking Jane and Alec to eventually change them but then they got their hogwarts acceptance letters?
Be very confused because Hogwarts hadn't been founded yet.
As it is, and I'm fairly certain @thecarnivorousmuffinmeta made this post already, but there is every reason to believe Hogwarts is much younger than wizards claim it is. A thousand-year-old stone castle is completely ahistorical, there are no older parts of the castle signifying it wasn't always the massive stone castle we see today but rather it seems to have been built in one piece, it's many times bigger than it would need to be in a time of lower population rates (if a country of 57 million (British population in 1990) yields 40 students per year, then in the 11th century, when there were less than 3 million people living there, would... 2 students per year? Maybe?
You're not filling a castle with that. You don't even have a school, you don't even have a magic community. You have the village wise woman curing boils for people, and if she does come across a magical child then he can apprentice.
Hogwarts being founded seems to me a sign that a wizarding community was forming, which would have come much later and only when Muggles and wizards stopped being able to peacefully coexist as otherwise there would be no need to seek out a specific magic community to not just have contacts in, but live in full time. The creation of a wizarding school where all community members must be alumni screams nationbuilding to me, and probably occurred in the same period as the formation of the Statues of Secrecy in the 1660's, which is when wizards officially segregated from Muggles.
All this to say, the issues with crossing over Twilight and Harry Potter (tldr: incompatible worldbuilding, can't coexist) aside, Jane and Alec lived in the 9th century AD and would not be getting their Hogwarts letter.

{random nora + michael (ft. george + rosie) headcanons}
[part one] + [part two]
nora calls her english friends "hen" even if they're a few years older than her. like, esme, ada & gina but she wouldn't dare dream of doing it to her scottish friends who are older than her.
people in a past have assumed that nora was jack's wife when they moved to the us. what didn't help was michael and nora's son being called "jack" (named after john shelby) which resulted in nora wanting to call him ian instead. it didn't catch-on.
nora has a tattoo. it's a small rose at the bottom of her back. it was given to her by one of sabini's bartenders that eilidh swore fancied nora.
nora's got a few different nicknames:
michael calls her nonie the mcleod's call her nory esme calls her red john calls her trouble (alec is also partial to that)
nora calls michael ‘gray’ (she’d started it before they got married) and it seemed to just stick.
not having any cultural traditions really bothered nora now looking back on her wedding day and as someone who has a passion for colours, clothes and patterns she hated how bloody bland her wedding was.
“never liked these ‘hings.” nora idly gestured picking at the leftover chicken george didn’t want to eat. “didnae even like ma ain.”      esme softly winces at the memory of nora’s rather disastrous wedding day. a pregnant nippy eighteen-year-old, johnny dogs mediating and polly's vulture-like dotting on the scottish girl making sure her future daughter-in-law couldn’t do a runner, did not make for an easy morning of.      “at least am no up the spout at this one but gray’s naewhere to be seen as-fucking-usual.”      “hardly an ideal situation – mine wasn’t any better. john ended it sleeping in the allotment.”      “alec’s wis nice. hid the auld traditional shite ah felt lit ah needed tae hiv – faither ae the bride, ceilidh and haundfasting ‘though didnae shed a tear over nae blackening. jane fucking stunk fir days, apparently.”
gina removed the ruby from nora's lighter (nora assumed it fell out due to its age) and years later gave her it back in a necklace for her birthday.
nora didn't end up selling john's rings to move out of the pub. she just stashed them away for emergencies.
[this] is modern!nora's wedding dress, just a little bit of a more fluffy, whimsical skirt
when they move into a bigger house in glasgow the kids, rosie more-so struggle to sleep in their own beds, let alone their own room as they've been sharing a bed with nora for the past five-years.
when rosie was born, colin bought his granddaughter a copy of 'winnie-the-pooh' and the sequel every subsequent birthday they released.
when the kids were a little older they'd play pretend and preform small plays from their books for a highly amused drunk crowd of their parents. rosie's favourite is always peter pan, and the seven-year-old likes making it clear to her cousins that, "my mum did the play so i get to be tinkerbell and katie has to be mrs. darling because she's ginger, like mum." (it helped that she was the youngest and the easiest to lift, so nobody really objected to their little cousin bossing them around.) the boys were just happy to smack each-other with wooden swords in the 'pirate fights'.
i have literally nowhere else to put this so here's modern!nora and teen rosie after she gets in trouble at school. (george's gone to uni to do an english degree and michael's in the us so she's acting out a bit):
“oi, ah heard aff mrs morrison in the landin’ you gave that chantelle lassie a right thumpin’ oan yer lunch.” nora pulled her daughter off to the side by the wrist, “why?”      “wrong place, wrong time.”      “y’know i’d believe that pish fae yer uncle, yer faither and mebbe yer brother, but no you; no ma rosie.”      the teen scoffed, “that’s not very forward thinking of you mum, it’s the twenty-first century, lassie-“      “-rosie,” nora laughs, “don’t take this the wrang way hen, but you’re a lazy wee shite at the best ah times. you don’t dae nuthin’ fir nuthin’.”      “i’m a big girl now, puberty changes-”      “-wrap it hen, whit she say?”      “mum, its fine.”      “rosalin.”
polly and rosie are inherently alike and share a lot of similar traits but polly also has quite the soft-spot for george (although esme's convinced it's just unresolved projection).
nora still feels like george's protector in comparison to rosie. he won't take nonsense from the boys in school but he's pretty quiet compared to his peers and prefers his own company and she knows the type of trouble boys in the area get into, especially mcleods.

DEAN TV LOVE VII: EPISODE 35: DEAN TV 2523 A.D.
Hi and welcome to the 35th episode of Dean Tv love 7, on the 8th of September 2023. Today is the 15th anniversary of the time when I was a first year student at college. Which happened on Monday 8th of September 2008. I was 19 back then and I was still in the fish police band that time.
Right time for this episode as the title sequence ends with the Dean Tv love 7 logo. The audience cheered, Dean with the 3 presenters Alec, Kaden and Zara comes out of the cafe. “Hi everyone, this is the 35th episode of Dean Tv love 7” said Alec. “We have only 10 episodes left in this season” said Zara. “Yes we have and this episode takes place 500 years from now, but it takes place in the present day” said Dean. “Really?” asked the 3 presenters. “Yes” said Dean. The guru hears the conversation. “You are so right Dean” he said. Everyone watch the episode.
The episode takes place in the present day as Dean and Louise are going out in London. Dean is so surprised about the stuff he read in the book he got from the man from the year 2088. Dean and Lousie walked on the pavement in London bridge, Louise is so curious about why is Dean so surprised. Till one day Louise’s necklace started to glow. Dean looks at the necklace. “What’s going on?” said Dean. “Don’t know” said Louise. The necklace takes the two through time to the 26th century, in the 26th century of London. In the future as Neo London, Dean and Louise did not know where they are by the way. But the readers and writer know about it.
“Hey where are we?” asked Louise. “Not sure but it seems like we are in the future and London looks different” said Dean. The two look around till they got approached by two ladies wearing 26th century clothing. The two ladies looked at the clothes what Dean and Louise are wearing.
Dean looks at the ladies, which reminded him of people he knows. “You two look like the Julies” said Dean. “The Julies?” said one lady. “Yeah but you may not know them” said Dean. “We not the Julies” said the other lady. Louise asked them where are we. “This is Neo London” said the first lady. “What year is it?” asked Louise. “The year is 2523” said the second lady. The first lady said that she remembered the clothes what Dean and Louise are wearing. “21st century clothing” said the first lady. “Yes we are from the year 2023” said Dean. The two ladies reacted. “2023?, that was 500 years ago” said the first. Dean and Louise introduced themselves to the ladies. The ladies are surprised. “Really?, we discovered you two at the Dean Tv academy school” said the second lady. “You did?” asked Louise. “Yes we did” said the first lady. The two ladies introduced themselves. The first lady’s name is Jane and the second lady Roxann.
Jane and Roxann shows Dean and Louise around Neo London. Dean sees futuristic cars, buses and many others. Dean looks happy, he sees everything. Even Louise too. Dean looks at the newspaper which tells the date, it says Wednesday the 8th of September 2523. Jane and Roxann takes Dean and Louise to their house. Louise says that the house is so big. “Big like the mansion we live in the 21st century” said Dean. “That mansion is now a museum” said Jane. “I know” said Dean. “But how?” asked Roxann.
“Because someone from the late 21st century told me” said Dean. “Who’s that?” asked Louise. “Charlotte, remember?” said Dean. “Oh that lady” said Louise. Charlotte is one of the characters who appeared in the stage 1 era of the Dean Tv love series if you may remember.
Anyway Dean check out the view, he sees a familiar building. “It’s still there” he thought. Then one day Dean heard some people screaming outside. “What is going on?” he asked. Louise looked at Dean. “Must be something going on” said Louise. Jane and Roxann are outside fighting the bad guys in the street. The bad guys are mutants from old London.
Dean and Louise watches the two ladies fought the mutants. Dean is impressed about it.
After that Jane and Roxann gave Dean and Louise some food to eat from the food machine. Till one day Louise’s necklace started to glow as Dean and Louise returned back to the 21st century, back in current London. Dean and Louise went back to the mansion. Dean told everyone about the 26th century.
He shows the page of the 35th episode of Dean Tv love season 7.
By showing a picture of Jane and Roxann.
The episode ends and the audience clapped. “A very good episode” said Alec. “Yeah the 26th century” said Kaden. “We won’t be here” said Zara. “The 26th century starts from the 1st of January 2501 to the 31st of December 2600” said Dean. Alec understood. “The next episode will be 36, tune in next week bye” said Alec.
End of episode 35

He got the scar on his face from a fight with Jane, though he didn't know it was her at the time
He was there when Jane "died" and watched it happen, though he didn't see Anastasia and Sable through all the smoke afterwards. After that though, he quit SHIELD, went solo, and started going by Distortion
A lot of the hero stuff they do scares him, but he doesn't tell people because he feels like he's too powerful to be scared
He's a really good brother, but especially got along well with Jane. He always looked up to her and thought she was super cool, especially with all she could do even as someone without powers

Tom Courtenay in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (Tony Richardson, 1962) Cast: Tom Courtenay, Michael Redgrave, Avis Bunnage, Alec McCowen, James Bolam, Joe Robinson, Dervis Ward, Topsy Jane, Julia Foster. Screenplay: Alan Sillitoe, based on his story. Cinematography: Walter Lassally. Production design: Ralph W. Brinton. Film editing: Antony Gibbs. Music: John Addison. Tony Richardson's The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner owes some of its prominence in film history to being grouped with other "Angry Young Men" films, such as Richardson's own Look Back in Anger (1959), Jack Clayton's Room at the Top (1959), Karel Reisz's Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960), and Lindsay Anderson's This Sporting Life (1963), working-class dramas that gave a boost to such young actors as Richard Burton, Laurence Harvey, Albert Finney, and Richard Harris. Tom Courtenay also got a leg up on his career, largely because he, more than director Richardson, is what holds The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner together. Richardson's direction lacks focus and tension. For example, he occasionally resorts to brief bursts of sped-up action that almost make me hear "Yackety Sax" playing in the background. The essence of Alan Sillitoe's screenplay is that, as Kris Kristofferson put it, freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose. Courtenay plays Colin Smith, sent to a reformatory, called a Borstal in Britain, for robbery. The oily, autocratic governor of the institution, played by Michael Redgrave, quickly spots Colin's aptitude for running and grooms him for a race he has arranged between teams from the reform school and an upper-class public school. Colin relishes the illusion of freedom that long-distance running gives him, but when the time comes for the race, he realizes that he's just being used by the governor to enhance his image, so he throws the race at the finish line. The bulk of the film deals with Colin's rebellion against the family in which he grew up, his involvement with a young woman, and the small crimes he and a friend commit before he finally gets caught for the theft. But there's not much shape to the film's flashback integration of this background story, and the film falls slack when it should be building to a climax. Still, Courtenay's performance and solid support from Redgrave, from Alec McCowen as a smarmy school counselor full of hack psychology, and from the fine character actress Avis Bunnage as Colin's mother help keep the film alive.

A Stitch In Time || Alec and Jane and Reader||
Warnings: Mentions of poverty but mostly this is fluff
Word Count: 6429
Summary:  Alec and Jane are...going to school? As if that wasn’t bad enough, they’re constantly pestered by one irritating little human who clearly has no concept of self-preservation. Spending a winter in Forks was not how they had planned the end of their year to go, but winter traditions have changed since they were human, and they find the new ones aren’t all that bad.
It was well known that you didn’t anger the witch twins unless you wanted to die. First, there was Jane, whose temper was as quick to flare as though it were a match being struck. Alec was, in comparison, far calmer in outward appearance while he mentally plotted twenty steps ahead as to how best to exact his revenge for the displeasure caused to him. In both cases the victims of their anger met ruthless ends; it was merely dependent on which witch twin they had pissed off as to how swiftly the end came. With that in mind, one has to question what on Earth Felix and Demetri were thinking when they started sending the twins to school.
When Carlisle had entreated the Volturi to aid them in reclaiming their territory, Aro had agreed without a second thought to “aid an old friend”, as he had put it. None of the guard had any qualms about helping the coven (they had done them no wrong after all even if their way of life was rather strange) but they hadn’t expected it to be such an arduous process. The nomads who had taken over the Olympic Peninsula travelled in the usual small group but Demetri just couldn’t track them. He had caught the tenors yes, but the trail they left just…looped around. Somebody was clearly messing with his gift and enjoying watching him run about in circles, and it was taking a considerable toll on the tracker to try and figure out where the group was at any given time.
They had stayed at the Cullen’s house for the most part, Carlisle and Esme sending them the keys and alarm codes before they had arrived, and once the place was scoped out and found to be clean they had moved in post haste. The place was lavish, large, modern, and it allowed them to live in seclusion and comfort. It became their base of operations as they tried to track down these nomads. They were vicious and killing in droves, drawing attention to themselves and threatening the Cullen’s openly. Demetri was grateful for the encounter that Rosalie had had or else he would have had very little hope of finding a tenor to follow.
Then the Chief of Police had come past.
It was an unusual pattern, not at all a regular patrol route since it took him so far off of the main path, but fate had determined he was going to come their way and spot Alec and Jane just as they were headed back into the house after an afternoon walk. They had ran at a human pace, warning the others as they went, and by the time Police Chief Swan rang the doorbell they all had contacts in and was prepared to greet their unexpected guest. After a lot of explaining they had managed to convince him that they had rented the property while they worked abroad for a short period. Volturi Ltd. Was a legitimate company he could look up after all and the Secretaries were trained in how to handle inquiries into the company from the outside world. The only problem then was Alec and Jane. Despite being a thousand years of age, the twins still looked to be physically 14 at the most. Any self-respecting people would be sending their 14 year olds to school wouldn’t they?
Well, what else could they do at that point?
“Sister.” Alec placed a hand on her shoulder but couldn’t help the way his lips quirked upward in amusement. Her glare was fixated on a boy of small stature, with an ego twice his size. She wasn’t quite using her gift on him yet, but the boy had twitched a bit and was showing obvious signs of distress. Jane broke her gaze, turning to look at Alec with an expression that screamed of displeasure.
“I dislike him immensely.” She deadpanned.
“So I can see.” Alec murmured. They kept their voices so low nobody would hear them, and the teacher was so busy praising the know-it-all bully Jane had had her eye on he doubted she would see he was clearly not playing attention.
“I do not know how much more of this I can take. Ugh, look, Y/N is writing you another note, insufferable little-“
“Alec? Pssst.” your voice was so loud in comparison to theirs. He tried not to sigh, though he found your consistent need to bother them somewhat amusing when he was in better moods. Lucky for you, this moment was one of them. He let you whisper for him once more before he turned, raising an eyebrow at you. You stared ahead robotically, so obviously up to no good it made him wonder how anyone could ever think you innocent in that moment, and slid a piece of paper across the tabletop to him. Alec opened it up with a slight sigh.
Want to play tic-tac-toe with me?
He tilted his head slightly.
“What’s that?” he whispered. Your jaw dropped slightly and you hurriedly took the paper back from him, drawing out a 3x3 grid and drawing a circle on it.
“Noughts and crosses?” you murmured hopefully, wondering if he knew it by another name. Alec stared at the strange design with a furrowed brow.
“I’ve never heard of it.” He said finally, glancing back up towards the front of the room as the teacher asked for contributions to the discussion. You were absolutely screwed. You were still looking at the side of his head.
“I’m sure you know Y/N since you’re so keen to tell Alec all about it. Would you share with the rest of the class?” she asked, her eyebrows raised and expression screaming ‘I caught you’ despite her friendly tone. Alec stifled a laugh, enjoying your obvious discomfort as you stuttered for a response. Jane smothered a smile with her hand, a very human action she had picked up from you but didn’t realise. This was how they spent the majority of their days since they’d started school three weeks ago; lessons were boring and covered topics they already knew, and the children were cruel. Cruelty was nothing new to either of the twins but there had been some small part of them that had hoped that perhaps it would be different this time, that perhaps they were too different now they knew how to blend in better.
Of course, vampire teenagers in an otherwise human class was not going to be as discrete as they liked but there was just something about the twins sharp tongues and apathetic expressions that was not inviting enough for the other children to even pretend to be friendly – that and they were all teenagers in a small town who had grown up in their cliques since birth. Only you had bothered to welcome them with any sort of warm regard, and it was both tiresome and heat warming that at least one of the wretched little humans had tried. By the time they trudged into the cafeteria to sit with a tray of food they wouldn’t touch unless you forced them to, Jane was grinding her teeth in distaste. She was enjoying this even less than Alec was, though he put his twin’s rotten mood down to the need to hunt.
It was nearing December now and the winter months had brought with it even more rain that quickly turned to ice, with cold winds that stung human cheeks. Jane and Alec felt none of it of course but given the way your tray of food nearly toppled on top of the table with the violence of your shivering it was safe to say the humans did. The twins had guessed you weren’t from the richest family in the world, your clothes didn’t have the same labels as the other children did and were sometimes too big or too small, a little tattered or sewn back together with patches or mismatching threads in a shade that was similar, but not exact to the colour of the material.
“Here we go again.” Jane muttered for his ears only. You had sat with them at lunch every day for the past two weeks since you realised they often sat alone. Your wide Y/E/C eyes took them in, teeth chattering.
“How a-are you n-not cold?” you demanded, limbs trembling as you rubbed your hands together furiously in an effort to warm up. Your jacket looked thin, definitely not able to withstand the temperatures that had continued to drop throughout the day. The grey sky was threatening snow. Alec could smell what would be rain but had the fresher, sharper scent snow brought with it.
“Because it isn’t as cold as you think.” Alec answered. Not when your flesh is already frozen he tacked on mentally. You frowned.
“N-not cold? Are you insane?” you shook your head, ignoring your shivers for now to dig into your food. You always ate like you were starving to, and Alec sometimes wondered if you were getting enough to eat at home, but it wasn’t his place to ask. You had a hot chocolate today to, something you had clearly saved up to buy since he remembered you looking rather sad when you read the price beside it on the menu board the other week. It struck him that perhaps your kindness stemmed from your own perceived difference. You weren’t the same as the other children. You worked harder and were quite obviously poorer. Alec and Jane were the strange new kids. In some ways, your trio was perfectly compatible when it came to categorical ostracization.
“Are you?” Jane’s answer was curt but you tilted your head like you were genuinely considering the question.
“My brother says I am.” You shrugged, shovelling another forkful of mac and cheese into your mouth. If it tasted as bad as it looked, Alec pitied you greatly. Jane just blinked, looking slightly surprised.
“You have a brother?” she questioned. You hummed around a mouthful of food.
“He’s older than me, he g-goes to high school.” Your shivering had lessened a little, the food warming you up even if it did little else. The usual silence fell over you all then. You tended to fill the silence when you were done eating, usually with questions about why they weren’t eating and if they were sick, or simply trying to coax more information about where they’d come from out of them. Today the routine was interrupted by the snow Alec had predicted.
“It’s here! It’s here! The first snowfall!” a young girl yelled, pointing back outside. A cacophony of noise made Alec and Jane cringe, their sensitive ears protesting against the sounds of scraping chairs and shrieking children, a thousand little feet thudding into the tile to reach the snow first as zippers on jackets whizzed up towards chins. Your eyes were sparkling, obvious delight on your face as you worked twice as hard to finish off the last of your mac and cheese. Alec’s eyebrows rose as you turned to your dessert next, the jello cup being ripped open.
“If you eat too fast you’ll make yourself sick.” Alec reminded you. You gulped, almost choking on your jello.
“I’s ‘no’.” your voice came out all garbled but Alec understood the general premise of it, his disapproval at your decision to go outside with the others obvious on his face.
“You were just complaining you were cold.” Jane huffed. You swallowed.
“But it’s the first snow! Come on! Come on you have to come! Please please please please please please please please-“
“My god we’ll follow you!” Jane snapped. You ignored her tone completely and jumped to your feet, whizzing to collect your things and clean up your tray. Alec watched you go with a shake of his head. Humans were such stupid little creatures. He knew you’d be freezing the moment you set foot outside but that didn’t deter you in the slightest. Neither, apparently, did their cold skin. With your warm hands enveloping theirs you dragged the twins outside into the snow. It was something they had seen before of course, but Alec and Jane had the added advantage of having enhanced eyesight. They could see every little snowflake as it fell, all its unique edges and shapes. Your arms flew outward as you span around, giggling all the while as you reached out and tried to catch a snowflake in your palm. Alec tilted his head as he watched you, Jane sighing quietly beside him.
“They seem so happy...they don’t even see the full wonder of the phenomena.” he mused. Jane was watching you with critical eyes, but Alec could see the slightest softening of her expression and guessed she was as fascinated with your reaction as he was. Your hands were far too warm too catch anything of course, the snowflakes melting upon contact with your skin, but your smile never once dropped and you kept trying again and again, your enthusiasm undeterred.
“They’re already shivering, and yet they carry on,” Jane observed, “Their determination is admirable though.” Alec chuckled.
“You almost sound fond.” He teased. She scoffed, shooting him a wry look from the corner of her eye.
“I’m about as fond of any of them as I am of those idiots picking us up later.” She sniffed. Alec had to laugh at that, even as you came running up to them rabbiting about snowmen and snow angels. You were trembling head to foot. With a small sigh, he shrugged out of his jacket and held it towards you. Your eyes widened.
“But y-you’ll g-g-get cold.” You said, teeth gnashing together noisily.
“You are already frozen. Just swap my jacket with yours.” He huffed.
“But-“
“Y/N.” his voice was curt, no nonsense, the same sort of tone he imagined his mother had once used on him when he was smaller. You obediently took his jacket from him and even though it wasn’t saturated with any sort of human warmth, the wool was thick and you snuggled down into it like it was a lifeline. Your own threadbare denim looked slightly ridiculous on him, too small and the fit all wrong, but Alec didn’t complain once. He held his hand out, knowing it would be cold enough for what he wanted to do, and in one go caught a snowflake he let you inspect to your heart’s desire.
“Softie.” Jane grumbled under her breath. He ignored her. What was the point of making themselves miserable at school? If they had to be here then they should try to make the best of it right? Besides, when you looked at him like that…how could he say no? You invoked some of his oldest, foggiest memories of a wide-eyed Jane staring up at him with awe and admiration, it felt like he was getting a second chance to be the big brother he should have been in that cold, snowy moment.
“Oh Alec! Isn’t it so pretty!” you cried. You can’t even see it he thought incredulously, though he still nodded in agreement. He really hadn’t been expecting you to hug him and he wasn’t quite sure what to do in reply either. Did he hug you back? His arms hesitated, not quite winding around you. His hands were awkwardly left bent outwards as if too touch you would be lethal. His awkward display only made Jane snort, smothering her laughter in her jacket as you bounced back from him and demanded that they all go the Jungle Gym. The bars would surely freeze your fingers and gloves were so slippery not many people were on them today, and those that were quickly disappeared when they saw Alec and Jane coming anyhow.
This was the day Alec blamed for your absence the following week.
You hadn’t bounced in like you usually did, hanging your jacket on the peg beside Jane’s, nor had you wished the teacher good morning when she called your name for the roll call. Truth be told, both twins were rather worried about you when you didn’t show up by the end of first period either, so much so, Alec decided to ask about you. Miss Destiel was a fairly nice woman, strict perhaps but she always found time for her students, so she greeted the two strange newcomers to her class with the same warm smile she gave everyone. Alec didn’t have to be Edward Cullen to know she was probably thinking of several different ways to get them out of her way as quickly as possible despite her friendly demeanour.
“We want to know if you know where Y/N is.” Jane said, cutting straight to the point. She tilted her head.
“I see. You three are good friends, aren’t you? I see you together at recess a lot. You needn’t worry too much. Her mother called in to tell us she was sick, a little bit of a flu bug they think. She should be back by the end of the week.” Miss Destiel promised them. Alec let his disgust show on his face. A flu bug? Why did humans have to be so weak! It was the cold wasn’t it? It had seeped into your bones and tried to leech the life out of you. Dammit! If only you’d had a better jacket! Or maybe some gloves! Maybe you shouldn’t have been stupid enough to play outside in the snow with them…
You didn’t show up for another four days, and when you did return you drove them half mad with your sniffling and nose blowing and coughing. The other children were giving you dirty looks to, calling you germy and demanding you stay away from them in case you passed on your germs. Alec and Jane were not popular and neither were you, but you did have a few other friends beside them, even those children tried to stay away till you were better, and only one of them was apologetic about it. You were obviously disheartened by the whole affair and prodded at your food with a miserable expression.
“Cheer up, you don’t need to cry in that pie, it smells salty enough already.” Jane’s attempt at comfort was half-hearted at best but Alec was amazed she had even tried at all. You gave her a weak smile.
“I’m not feeling all that hungry.” You mumbled.
“But you always eat,” Alec frowned, “Even when they bring out that awful soggy pizza.”
“S’just the flu.” You sighed.
“Y/N you have to eat.” Alec reprimanded. He really wasn’t sure if you’d make it through the day without a little something in your system and was pleased when you forced down another few bites for him. You glanced at the clock through droopy, watery eyes. You really weren’t ready to come back to school today and it was obvious to both of them.
“I need to go get my medicine from the nurse. I’ll see you in class.” You sniffed, a tickle you tried to clear turning into a coughing spree as you walked away.
“We need to do something.” Jane scowled at her tray.
“We cannot make her better, sister.” Alec pointed out. Jane stared him down for a long moment, and then a smile twitched up her lips.
“Maybe not, but we can stop her getting sick again. Come on, help me.” She ordered. Alec raised his eyebrows but followed her lead, dumping his tray and heading back towards the classroom with her. He stood guard, hearing paper shuffling inside the room as Jane put whatever plan she had into action. He didn’t question it until Friday afternoon rolled around and Miss Destiel decided to read out the names of the secret Santa pairings one more time, at Jane’s request. Next Thursday was the last day of term before the Christmas break started and there would be secret Santa and some choosing time in the afternoon that neither twin was looking forward to.
“Alec and Y/N…huh? Debbie didn’t you have Y/N last time we read out the names?” Miss Destiel looked to the red headed girl for answers, but she just shrugged, uncertain. Alec smiled slightly.
“You switched the papers.” He murmured. Jane hummed, her face the picture of angelic.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about dear brother, but I do have an ideas as to what you could get Y/N if you’re interested.” She was hardly done with her plan just yet though. Demetri wasn’t particularly surprised when the twins came marching towards him; they were often eager to get out of school, but the surprise lay in their demeanours. Usually he could count on a very grumpy Jane and a clearly exasperated Alec, but today they both looked determined. Jane brushed past him with all the regal stature of a woman who knew her self-worth, and Demetri raised an eyebrow slightly as he turned to face Alec.
“We have plans to attend to Demetri. We’re still headed to Port Angeles tonight are we not?” he questioned. Demetri nodded.
“We are, why?”
“We’re going to go earlier than planned. We have secret Santa obligations to fulfil.” He explained, ducking into the car. Demetri looked even more confused at that, but he didn’t dare question either twin as he headed for the driver’s side door. Wasn’t Santa always secret? Had he misunderstood human traditions? He didn’t know and neither Alec nor Jane cared enough to tell him. They were hyper focused now on their plan, a plan they hoped would ensure the health and happiness of the one human being they actually (though they remained very reluctant to admit it) liked. Secrecy was the very nature of their work and yet Alec’s tongue itched whenever he saw you, the secret on the tip of his tongue desperately trying to leap off into the air between you both. Jane struggled too, unable to hide her growing impatience as the week dragged on and your shivers grew worse, your sniffly nose a new, permanent feature on your face.
“Good tidying everyone. Nicky, tell me one thing you’ve learned today?” Miss Destiel snapped Alec out of his daydream and he sat up straighter, wanting to give the appearance of paying attention. Nicky was a smallish boy who had yet to have any sort of growth spurt apparently, all long gangly limbs and braces.
“Erm…After World War 2, they split up Germany and Berlin?” he sounded more like he was guessing than anything else and the twins fought the urge to scoff. How ignorant these little humans were.
“Yes they did! You can go and get your secret Santa present. Can you expand on Nicky’s point somehow Bridget?” Miss Destiel turned to the opposite side of the room now and Alec almost groaned when he realised what she was doing. One by one, they were left to answer questions in order to exit the room, and the process was excruciatingly slow given how stupid the small beings were. By the time the whole affair was over and everyone had a present in front of them, Alec’s fingers were itching at the colourful paper he’d wrapped your present in. Jane had watched multiple youtube videos to get the bow on top just right.
“Miss Destiel can we please give our presents out!” Debbie whined.
“Yeah please?”
“Please!”
“Please!”
“Let us give our presents Miss!”
She held up her hands, waiting for silence, and not until you could have heard a pin drop did she nod and motion for them to get up out of their seats.
You didn’t move.
Alec watched you with a small frown as Jane moved away to find Nicky in the sea of humans. She all but threw the small package at his chest, briefly thanking him in a curt and ice cold voice for the present he gave her in return before she gave him a nod, and the pair drifted with all the grace their vampirism allowed towards you. You only seemed to grow smaller in your seat, some wrinkled looking tissue paper wrapped around a lumpy looking package on your desk in front of you.
“Merry Christmas, Y/N.” Alec held out the parcel in his hand. It looked much neater in comparison, with shiny gold paper and a shimmering, expertly tied black bow. You swallowed, your fists clenching on top of the tabletop as you took a breath and gathered the courage to face him. Your eyes widened slightly.
“It looks so…fancy…” you fretted. Alec frowned, tilting his head.
“It’s just a present.” Alec said. You bit your lip, taking it when he shook it impatiently before you and carefully setting it on your desk like it was made of precious gold. He folded his arms, standing and watching expectantly as your shaky fingers lifted to try and untie the bow. Jane watched in surprise as you reverently unfurled the ribbon from the paper, making sure it didn’t crumple. You were equally as careful with the paper, a sharp exhale escaping you when you pulled it away to reveal the present within.
Your fingers brushed the thick, woolen fabric, shaky and unsure as you carefully unfolded the clothing and stood up to hold it before you. Your wide eyes looked over the shiny black buttons on the coat, your eyes drifting to the hallway where your own, threadbare denim hung still. You hadn’t taken off the hoodie you wore underneath all day in an effort to keep away the chill, but with your new coat you definitely wouldn’t need to wear triple layers just to stay warm anymore. Tears welled in your eyes.
“Is it not to your liking?” Jane asked confusedly.
“I thought you would want to be warmer given the cold weather.” Alec added. Had they got it wrong? Had your denim maybe got sentimental value they’d accidentally besmirched by giving you a new coat? They just wanted you to be warm! They didn’t like seeing you sick and shivering…
“This is expensive. You weren’t supposed to buy expensive things!” You fretted, but your fingers had curled into the fabric like you didn’t want to let go. Alec tilted his head.
“Y/N, this was hardly-“
“I can’t give you mine if you give me this! It looks so stupid and – and – it’s not – it’s not-“
“Y/N,” Alec gripped your shoulders with a troubled frown, “Our parents have more money than they know what to do with, spending a little of it to keep your warm is what we wanted to do for Christmas and we didn’t expect anything in return for it.” He said firmly. You sniffled, looking absolutely overwhelmed at the gesture. Neither twin could fully understand why. Sure, they had guessed you didn’t come from a well-off family but this reaction seemed extreme…then again, they couldn’t really remember what it was like to not have things. They had grown up farming, self-sufficiency meaning anything they didn’t have they grew or harvested to acquire it. Once they were turned, they had access to the Volturi’s vast treasury - money really had no meaning to them anymore.
Your fingers twitched for the lumpy package on the desk and Alec gave you an encouraging nod.
“I…they’re not…I couldn’t buy anything but, I wanted you to be warm to…so…so…” you stumbled over your words, your apparent shyness taking over. Alec and Jane had never known you to be lost for words. You were always chattering away at them, even when they were less than responsive. Jane’s eyebrows rose as you pulled out a second lumpy looking package with her name on, and the twins exchanged a glance as they felt the squishy, thick material through the thin paper. You had ducked your head, cheeks flushed with embarrassment as they pulled away the paper as carefully as they could. If you had been so intent on keeping theirs intact to recycle they would show you the same courtesy.
Alec blinked, and not just because the contacts were irritating his eyes. The thick and squishy material beneath his fingertips turned out to be black and blue, two colours he wore often as part of his charade since he couldn’t wear his guard uniform to school. The stripes of chunky knitting unfolded as he held them out into a long strip, the wool a little scratchy but soft, dense, designed to hold heat. Jane’s own red and black piece tumbled out of the paper towards the floor. They had seen them before of course, but with the slightly uneven width in places and a few missing stitches here and there, these were clearly homemade and not the fancy store bought ones they knew of.
You’d knitted them each a scarf.
He didn’t need it, he didn’t get cold, but Alec carefully wrapped the woolly scarf around his throat anyway. It warmed him in ways he couldn’t explain, his expression softening as he stroked the soft but scratchy material that dangled against his chest. Jane followed his lead, admiring the stitching with awe.
“You made these for us?” she asked. You nodded sheepishly.
“I know they’re not very good but-“
“They’re perfect.” Alec interrupted. Your fingers were still clamped around your new coat and Alec’s eyes rolled, taking it from you to force you into it. Your fingers trailed over the fabric, the buttons, a soft smile lighting up your face.
“Can I really keep it?” you asked quietly.
“Only if we can keep these.” Jane replied. You nodded, more enthusiastic now. Your Y/E/C eyes sparkled as you snuggled down in your new coat. Already Alec could see the colour returning slowly to your cheeks as your temperature rose, and he and Jane shared a nod of approval at the sight – it was a job well done. Alec and jane cared for very few people, none of them human until you came along, actually disappointed when they caught the nomads over Christmas and realised they couldn’t return to school to say goodbye to you properly.
Tumblr media
You’d pressed the call button hours ago.
When the tightness in your chest had began Tuesday night you were sure it was going to pass. It had rapidly gotten worse however, so much so your daughter had been forced to call an ambulance out to you. The hospital was doing all they could but the place was miserable. Nobody saw you unless it was to do your observations and the food tasted awful. Not that you really had an appetite of course given how weak you felt.
It had been three very long days.
“If you don’t eat, you’ll make yourself sick.” The voice seemed so familiar but you couldn’t quite place it. With a gentle sigh, you turned your head away from the window you were lucky enough to be near and found a young boy watching you, his eyes gentle and sad. Beside him stood an petite blonde girl, both of them with the deepest brown eyes and palest skin you had ever seen. You frowned slightly, the faintest itch in your brain telling you that somehow you knew these children.
“That’s very true young man,” You nodded finally, “Are you visiting someone? I think you have the wrong room.” He nodded slowly.
“We are visiting a friend, I don’t think she knows we’re here.” He said, head tilting. The small girl beside him sighed. You hummed.
“Well you can ask at the desk, they know all the rooms.” You coughed slightly, a bony, age spotted hand reaching for your water. Your mouth felt rather dry, or maybe the room was just warm. You didn’t feel warm though.
“Has nobody come to visit you?” the girl wondered, helping bring the water to your lips. Her touch was gentle against your own but her hands were freezing cold. You shivered involuntarily, sipping at your water in an effort to soothe your throat.
“My daughter and grandkids came yesterday, you don’t have to – to worry about me.” You frowned slightly as you swallowed again. You had found breath a little hard to come by recently and the oxygen running up through your nostrils was hardly any use now. The boy was gentle as he pulled your blanket up around your chest.
“I’m glad, you haven’t been alone. You won’t be now, either.” He promised. Your frown deepened. Why was the room so cold all over a sudden? Why did the lights seem dimmer? You chest rattled slightly as you tried to take in air, the oxygen making you choke a little. The small blonde girl stepped up, pulling a red and black scarf that looked like it had been worn often, the threads worn down. Once it was carefully looped around your throat she stepped back, her cold hand settling in yours while the young boy took the other one. The air was stuffier still, even the breeze from the slightly open window wasn’t helping now, and everything suddenly became so clear. It was like you had previously been sitting surrounded by static.
“Alec…Jane…”your breathed, eyes watering. They looked exactly the same, not a day older than the day they had left. You had been so excited to see them in January when school was finally in session again but they hadn’t been there, they’d moved away again.
“Hello, Y/N. It’s been a long time, old friend.” Alec smiled softly, though his expression remained saddened. Your eyes watered.
“It’s been 70 years.” You rasped.
“78 years, 5 months and 13 days, if you want to be precise.” Jane spoke up. Her voice and her face was as apathetic as you remembered it to be. It was her scarf, she had given you her scarf. 78 years and she still had it. Alec pulled a stack of letters from his pocket, and you recognised the spidery handwriting easily in your bizarre state of clarity. All the letters you had written to Volturi Ltd in the hopesof keeping in contact with your friends. It was Jane who gently wiped away the few tears that spilt down sallow, wrinkled cheeks. You were so old, but they were wondrously young, vibrant in their youth. You wanted to know how, but you sensed somehow you didn’t have the time for the explanations you wanted.
“There were a few important answers we felt we should give you,” Alec said, sitting beside you and opening the first letter, “Firstly, we are well, we are happy and we did miss you to. We miss very few people, it surprised our masters when we requested to come and visit you.” You croaked a laugh. It was hardly surprising from what you remembered of the twins; even your friendship with them was strained at points, but they were hardly palatable to most in your class. Alec continued to scroll through the letters, and you suspected he knew with every answer he and Jane gave you that you were running short on air and time with every word he spoke.
When your lungs were really starting to battle for air you couldn’t quite stop the tears from coming. You wanted more time. You wanted more time with your old friends to try to understand why they left, why they were still so long. Maybe they weren’t even real, but the way their hands felt in yours was so realistic you doubted you could imagine it.
“I…d-don’t want…to go.” You struggled to get the words out, your heart trying to hard and your lungs ready to give up. Even if your mind was desperately pleading with it to hold on your body was clearly ready.
“Sometimes, it is simply our time, little human.” Alec said softly.
“Please don’t think less of us for not calling a nurse or a doctor. We think it’s kinder this way. You’re ready, even if you don’t think you are.” Jane promised, giving your hand the lightest squeeze.
“My g-grandaughters…she’s graduating i-in March…”you whispered. Alec soothingly ran his thumb over the back of your hand.
“She will keep you with her I’m sure…you’re quite difficult to forget, you know,” He smiled gently at you.
“It’s time to sleep now, Y/N.” Jane said. There was a darkness creeping in at the edges of your vision as your heart finally gave way in your chest, and Alec watched as you desperately fought for one last breath, his grip on your hand tightening ever so slightly while the light in your eyes died. Your heart monitor was screaming, the noise was going to attract someone very quickly they were sure, but they had finally gotten the goodbye they had been deprived of all those years ago.
“Will you take your scarf back with you sister?” Alec asked as they stood up and quickly cleaned away the letters and any other trace they had ever been there. Jane paused briefly, staring back at your frail body. You were much older now, still as skinny as they remembered, but any colour was stripped from your hair and replaced with grey. She very gently closed your vacant eyes, unable to keep looking at the empty Y/E/C, and shook her head.
“No, she’s still cold.” She frowned. Alec placed a hand on her shoulder briefly, his ears picking up the sound of feet thudding on the tile outside.
“We need to leave.” He said. Jane nodded her head.
“Lets.”
They disappeared as quickly as they came, Demetri waiting for them beside a Sedan with tinted windows. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly as they approached but neither twin said anything, so he didn’t either. He had felt the familiar tenor fade as you passed, he knew what they had come to do now, understood it even. Every winter Alec and Jane had worn those threadbare scarves, even when the wool had faded and it was clearly past the prime of its life. You had made a lasting impression on the witch twins, a friend they had made without any interfering influence from the masters or Chelsea or any other outside force. Alec stared at the hospital getting smaller in the rear view mirror. They wouldn’t go to your funeral, they had said their goodbyes to you today, and until the last thread unravelled, he would always have his scarf to remember you by. You had been stitched into the very fabric of whatever was left of his soul, where you would always be, to keep him warm when his heart threatened to turn cold once more.

Stay (Alec Volturi x reader)
»»————- ♡ ————-««
A/N: I haven’t actually write anything in a hot minute but school and this whole moving process has been kicking my butt, so I apologize hopefully I’m able to get out more these next two weeks. Also sorry for the crappy summaries I now remember why I opted to not put them in before 😅
Summary: Reader debates breaking things off with Alec after feeling like their relationship is going nowhere. Will he be able to work things out with her?
Tumblr media
The castle could get so boring. I mean I understand not celebrating holidays after being around for so long. But never? I guess to be fair Valentine’s day isn’t celebrated worldwide, but why not celebrate it? It was a cute holiday idea. I mean, when you first came you had learned very quickly that being mated to a member of the elite guard would come with its challenges, especially when it was on of the infamous twins.
Alec had taken a week before he spoke a word to you. And he only spoke to you because you threatened to leave if he kept ignoring you. All he had said to you was that he wasn’t ignoring you. It was so frustrating, you still packed up your things. You had talked to Marcus and he asked you to give it two weeks. Well, must have talked to Alec because a week and a half later he finally sat next to you and asked some questions about yourself. You remember being in the rec room with Demetri and Heidi, you also remember being too dumbstruck to respond for a bit. It didn’t help that Jane was glaring daggers at you. A few days later he told you the story of how he was turned, another factor that made you want to stay.
You wouldn’t stay here and be the only one making an effort here. You were tired of always trying to understand why he would act the way he did. He was allowed to be cold and distant. Jane was allowed to say cruel things to you. You however, you weren’t extended that same courtesy. You couldn’t yell at Jane, Alec wouldn’t allow that. You couldn’t talk to Alec about how you felt, he’d probably say you were being ridiculous. Even if you tried to leave though, Demetri would probably be told to track you down. But maybe he wouldn’t? I mean its not like Alec actually cared about you. God, this sucked. You knew you’d have to be changed regardless so I guess Demetri would end chasing you down. You could talk to one of the leaders, but they all had a trial today. You decided to write a note telling them you were ready to be changed, and when they found you they could whatever they wanted. But you also made sure to write that you would not go back to the volturi regardless.
No more games. If he wants to continue to be distant, then that’s what he’ll get. You looked over at the box next to your bed. You had made little cards for everyone in the castle, you had half a mind to burn them all but you decided against it. You were looking at your departure letter when Heidi came into the room.
“Y/n, whats all this?” She asked gesturing to the box
“Just some cards for you all, would you mind taking them to the throne room for me?”
“Sure hun. Is Alec’s in here?”
“Yeah. His is the biggest one.” You would miss her. She grabbed the box and rushed away. You used this time to head towards the exit. Unfortunately, you ran into jane when you got to the bottom of the stairs.
“Where are you going?” You decided to ignore her and keep walking, she stepped in front of you, “Are you seriously ignoring me, human?”
“Jane, I don’t have time today. You can insult me later.” You tried to step around her again but she her arm stopped grabbed your shoulder, “I don’t think Alec will like to know how youre treating me.”
 “Then go tell him.”
“She doesn’t have to tell me anything.” Damn it. Now how were you going to leave?
“Im not in the mood to be yelled at right now Alec. So am I going to have to go to the room or not?”
You saw the shock in Alec’s face before his face snapped to his sister. “Jane. Don’t.” You felt Jane tense up next to you before rushing away. Soon you were stuck at with a very clearly upset Alec.
“So what was that?”
“Nothing.” Just fed up with everything that’s all. But, as much as you hated to admit it, even with the lack of attention you would miss Alec. You understood why he was so reserved, you just hated how he let Jane walk over you. You were supposed to be his mate, he couldn’t stick up for you once? Except for just now, hes never told Jane to back off.
 “Y/n? What is it.”
“I don’t want to talk about it Alec.” You turned around and began heading up towards the room. You would need to figure out when to leave but Alec might as well know. If he got upset you’d rather his gift be aimed at you towards rather than someone else in the guard. Alec walked quietly behind you until you got to your room. You waited till you heard the click of the door before you let out the sigh you were holding and laid down on the bed.
 “Y/n. What is it?”
You grabbed a pillow and held it over your face, not that he wouldn’t still be able to hear it. “I want to leave.” You felt a gust of air and knew Alec was right next to you.
 “Why?”
“Because I’m tired Alec. I’m just tired.”
“I haven’t been doing enough.” It was statement, but it sounded like a question. You took the pillow off to face him. Your eyes landed on the letter you left on the desk, and his own eyes followed. He was over there before you could blink, tearing open and reading the letter.
“You aren’t planning on staying here? You don’t have to stay in this room?”
“You could always stick Chelsea on me.” You said numbly.
“Do you actually think I would do that?”
“I don’t know, its not like you’ haven’t let Jane use her gift on me right?”
 “Y/n. Shes my—”
“Your sister. Yeah, I know. And I’m supposed to be your mate. But I’m the one who gets talked to for upsetting her. I cant push you because you’ll shut down and stop speaking to me. If I try and celebrate anything in this boring castle Jane will laugh and more often than not you’ll join her.” You were surprised at the steadiness of your voice. You weren’t sure how because you felt like crying.
 “I—I didn’t realize.”
 “Yeah, well.”
Alec came to sit next to you again. “Why go through the effort to give me the card for today then?”
“Because Alec. As much as I want to hate everything about it here. I cant stop caring about you. About the guard. About everything. I’m stuck in this world now. But I cant keep putting in all of the work.”
He went silent. You were pretty sure that meant your conversation was over. There would often be times he would just walk out. You almost expected it. Instead, he reached his hand out, “Could you come with me. Please?”
As much as you wanted to stay, you still ended up taking his hand. He led you down to the gardens. You weren’t sure why, it was starting to get dark. Your mouth dropped the second you got outside. There were lights hanging over the small table. On the table were candles and a covered dish of some kind. And there roses everywhere,
“Alec…what is this?”
“Well, if I’m being honest. Heidi told me a while ago that you seemed unhappy. I didn’t think it was true.”
 “That doesn’t really explain this.”
“Demetri and Felix talked to Marcus. To afraid to talk to me themselves of course. Marcus confirmed our mate bond was deteriorating.”
“Lovely, so it took Marcus for you to even notice.” It took everything in you to not walk back in. Alec must have noticed you roll your eyes because he squeezed you hand a bit tighter.
“Wait. Y/n. Please. You’re right. About everything.”
 “What?”
“I don’t—I’m not good with people. Even in my human life its always been me and my sister. I know I…excuse the things she does in front of you. I don’t know how to balance having anyone else. I don’t talk to the guard really unless theres a mission. I don’t know how to do this.”
“Do you even want to do this?”
He started nodding, “I actually made you this.” He pulled a card out of his coat. You’d never seen Alec look so vulnerable. He looked down at the ground as if this was an elementary or primary school activity. You hated that this made you smile. You hated being this empathetic to him, and yet you still squeezed his hand a bit harder to try and calm him.
“You made this? Did all of this?”
“I wish I could say I did, Demetri and his mate told me what to make and how to set things up.”
He led you down to the table. He pulled out the chair for you to take a seat. You didn’t know what to say.
“You don’t have to worry y/n, I won’t force you to stay with me.”
“Alec, if you want me to stay here, I need you to stop trying to shut me out.”
Alec was suddenly next to your chair. This time he was on his knees as he looked up at you, “If you stay I promise to try and be better.”
It was like you said, you were completely entangled in this life. In Alec. As much as you wanted to say know you knew you didn’t want to be away from him. It was as if all of the emotions you were holding back burst through, and you felt tears start falling from your eyes.
“Y/n? I’m sorry,” Alec began panicking, shutting down. “I can help you get everything ready.”
You grabbed his hand as he turned away. “Alec. Just wait.”
You could see him shutting down, preparing to protect himself. You tugged him over closer to you,
“You said you were going to try, right? So can you just stay?”
“Okay.” But instead of sitting back down at the table he led you to the fountain. You realized he was still holding your hands, “So, you wont leave me?”
It was interesting. Seeing Alec seem so vulnerable. Almost childlike, like if I said the wrong thing he would run away. Maybe hide. You weren’t sure how this would work, if he would actually change. You nodded but you were so exhausted, you leaned into him and he caught you.
“I am so sorry, I see I haven’t been doing enough. I swear I’ll get better.”
You couldn’t stop sniffling, “What if it doesn’t get better?”
“I swear it will. If it doesn’t I wont stop you.”
“I want you to want me, to want to be better.”
He pulled your face to his and began kissing, deeper and harder than you’d ever thought possible for Alec.
“Just don’t leave me, and I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you otherwise, sweetness. I’ve been loving you for quite some time.Now.” He said suddenly, “it is Valentines day, and Heidi said it was one of your favorite holidays. She said I should do something so I got those chocolate covered strawberries.”
You couldn’t help laugh, “That’s not fair, you can’t even eat those with me.”
“I mean I could but it probably wont be very good. I could feed them to you?”
“You don’t have to do all of this Alec, its okay to take baby steps.”
He smirked as he stood up and offered his hand to you again, “I’ve never really been one to walk away from a challenge.”

what if bella from painting red madonnas and canon bella, say post-new moon or maybe even post-eclipse, swapped places?
Anon's referring to Painting Red Madonnas.
The time Bellas and Marcuses swapped at the end of New Moon.
Alright, Post Eclipse, What Happens
PRM Bella
Bella is very confused.
She's back in Forks Washington, living with her father (who is suddenly alive and well), and quickly finds out she's in Hell.
For you see, she's engaged to be married to Edward Cullen in a few weeks' time.
Bella is horrified, terrified, and beyond enraged. This is her personal Hell. She wonders if Edward is holding her family hostage somehow, if the other Bella agreed to this because he'd threatened Charlie's life.
Before she can even find out that they're vampires, she does the one thing she can. She can't protect her father or her mother, but she can ensure Edward never gets what he wants: she flees to Italy.
Alice, of course, sees this decision and thinks Bella's gone mad. She tries to hold an intervention at first privately, then with the entire family.
Rosalie is overjoyed, Bella has decided to be sane and not choose to become a vampire. Then Bella starts talking and accuses Edward of being the lowest, most vile, worm to crawl across the face of the Earth. She also insults Emmett, seemingly out of nowhere (which Rosalie really doesn't like).
Bella demands the wedding is off and says she's going directly to Italy to talk to Marcus.
Well, no one saw that coming.
Edward throws a fit, they can't allow this, something is wrong with Bella and so soon after Jane's appearance it has to be the Volturi. Her loss of memory is not natural! AND NOW SHE'S GOING DIRECTLY TO VOLTERRA?!
Carlisle agrees this is weird but, well, wouldn't she want to see Aro rather than Marcus if that was the case? Mostly he's just very uncomfortable both with all of this and even hinting that Edward would want the wedding to continue without Bella's consent.
Edward promises to make Bella fall in love with him all over again.
Bella breaks her hand on his face.
I imagine eventually Bella badgers Carlisle into calling Aro (despite what happened in Eclipse) who is... very confused but otherwise pleased. Sure, they can incorporate Bella into the guard and turn her in Italy. If that's what she wants who is he to get in the way.
Pity about his son's love life.
Bella goes off to Italy and Edward never quite forgives Carlisle for being fooled by them. He badmouths the Volturi to anyone who asks and vows to visit them himself in the future so as to win Bella back.
(Bella, meanwhile, wonders what's up with Marcus).
Canon Bella
Bella's father has just been eaten by bears.
Now, Bella knows what this means, but she blames James, Victoria, and Laurent. She also has no idea what she's doing in Volterra, why she's supposed to hang around Marcus, and why Carlisle's here alone.
She confronts Carlisle as soon as she can and he gets a very confusing rant of how she has amnesia but has also made up a lot of eeriely accurate memories regarding his family including details such as how he was turned that she absolutely shouldn't know.
Well.
There's an intervention and Aro's not sure how to feel but he guesses since she knows about the secret and seems fine... success? They can turn her?
Bella's all for this but... she doesn't want to hang around the Volturi, she wants to see Edward and go home.
Aro explains she can't go home and as for Edward...
Bad idea.
Bella learns that in this universe, it's highly likely Edward just ate her father.
That Edward, in fact, hates her.
This isn't news to Bella as she flashes back to her first Biology class. Where he did hate her. This is just the world where he never got to come back to school and get to know and fall in love with her.
Bella's horrified.
She's a horrified, blubbering, mess who is then turned into a vampire.
Marcus gets to help her through the emotional turmoil and promises to help her meet Edward if she wants. But only if Renata, Jane, or Alec is with her along with Marcus himself.
I imagine they do this eventually and... it's not good.

Part 2 Here! / Part 3 Here! / Part 4 Here! / Part 5 Here! / Part 6 Here!
A/N: not superhero themed. I just read midnight sun and had this idea and I don’t feel like making another blog so.... hope you like twilight lol
There will be a part two, and just a reminder, I’m still looking for beta readers so DM if you’re interested!
* It probably starts with you reading midnight sun, you remember reading the books/watching the movies when you were younger.
* Man, you really forgot how bad this book was. The writing itself is good, but the plot...
* It’s like everything revolves around Bella, everything is created for her.
* You almost feel bad for the other characters
* Well, whatever, you’ll finish the rest of the book tomorrow and never think about that awful franchise again.
* When you wake up you feel an ache in your head. But you didn’t drink last night, maybe you’re dehydrated
* You shift, noting the smooth silk of the covers. Now you’re alarmed.
* You don’t have silk sheets
* You see a mirror in the corner of the room, and rush over
* The face that looks back at you is different then yours
* It’s the same in some ways, but different all the same
* The curve of your nose is slightly off, your lips are thinner, eyes a little closer together.
* The memories begin to flood in, in this world you were on a graduation trip with your parents, you got an all inclusive package. Three days of sightseeing in Volterra.
* You got sick on the last day, when you were signed for a tour of the castle, your parents went without you
* That was the last you saw of them
* You dumbly followed, asking question where you shouldn’t. And ended up at the volturi’s door
* Aro had grasped your hand to see how much you knew, only too see nothing. Likewise Jane’s powers did not work as well
* They were astounded by this, it appears this was several years before Bella was introduced to the story
* And so, you became a prisoner of the tower
* Your soul must have been in this body for quite some time, but you’ve only remembered now, that’s the only explanation for why their powers didn’t work on you. Your consciousness is not of this world.
* There’s a short knock on your door
* “Are you decent?”
* You call back and Alec pops his head in.
* “Ready to go to the library?”
* He looks so kind. The boyish grin that stretched across his face as you shook your head.
* It was in direct contrast to the sadistic personality you had become accustomed to in the books
* “I need a few more minutes”
* You half expect him to lash out at you for being slow. By he only nods, closing the door and waiting outside for you to finish.
* He was you friend. You realized
* He IS your friend
* You think back as you turn on the faucet. He didn’t like you at first, being assigned to guard a human was insulting
* But he started to warm up to you once he heard you play the piano
* This body was quite used to the ivory keys. And so you charmed him as best you could, half for your survival, because the happier you kept him the less likely he was to kill you.
* And half because- you were so lonely, the Loneliness echoed in this body like an ache. Suddenly an orphan, in a continent where you knew no one. All you had was this boy.
* How long have you been here? You kept a talley at one point, but abandoned it after the thirtieth day. What was the point? You would either die or become one of them
* A shiver erupts through at the thought, in your past life you were a vegetarian, you didn’t relish in the idea of killing something alive and moving.
* You pull on a sweatshirt, ripping of the chanel tag. They bought you the nicest things money could buy, the most lavish food you could have.
* They did the same thing with the tourists they lured, keeping them happy and well fed, the same way the cows that became wagyu beef might be cared for. That way when it came time to slaughter, the meal was that much more delicious.
* You suspected this was similar, that should you be an unnecessary addition, you would make a meal suitable for their palette
* Alec basically talks your ear off the entire way to the Volturi library, mostly about literature
* “What are your thoughts on Anna Kerenina?”
* “That the patriarchy needs to be burned to the ground.”
* “That is.... valid”
* He even talks when you’re at the library, much to the annoyance of a few of the other patrons
* “Which book are you looking for now?”
* You stop mid motion on the ladder and turn to look at him. His ruby eyes glowing, he looks bloated. Like he’s fed too much.
* “Alec, why are we friends?”
* You really should keep your mouth shut. Alec was the only real ally you had, you shouldn’t say anything that might put him off
* And yet, it unnerved you, because the Alec in front of you was a very different character then the one you had come to see.
* He looks at you like you hung the moon,
* “Because you’re the most interesting human in the world”
* You burst out laughing, earning several glares.
* “I-I’m sorry Alec, but I’m not, I’m just the most interesting human you KNOW, there’s way more people who are more interesting than me.”
* You expect to see him offended, and he does, but there’s a twinkle in his eyes
* “I’m not so sure about that”
* The days creep by, reading books, eating snacks, it’s nice
* You learn, that Alec hasn’t talked to a human in a very long time. Outside of the screams he heard after devouring one.
* He hasn’t been outside the castle walls in many years, possibly a century.
* “What’s the best part of the human world?” He asked you once
* It’s the 90’s, so smartphones haven’t been invented yet.
* “One tree hill and friends”
* “Well you have a friend right here”
* “No friends the show”
* “The what?”
* And that’s how you got Alec hooked onto cable television
* Who knew the cure to vampire- sadism was a healthy dose of Jennifer Aniston fumbling about on screen
* “Is this what life is like?”
* You shrug, it was what college had been like for you in your past life.
* “It’s kinda what schools like, but i never got to be on my own”
* This body was only 18 after all.
* Alec doesn’t say anything, but his expression falters
* Alec’s only now starting to understand the life you will be denied once Aro decides when to turn you
* Jane joins later
* One day when you and Alec are lazing around the library when she appears, she says nothing, just sits down next to Alec and reads a book
* You’re sure they hear the uneven thumping of your heart as you turn back to your book. Her power doesn’t work on you, you remind yourself
* Not that she even needs it, she could snap you apart like a Kit Kat bar
* And if it came down to it, you’re sure Alec would let her, he might like you but his loyalty’s always remained with his sister
* “So... you watch human television together?” Her bright red eyes flickered from Alec to you.
* You nodded, never sure what exactly it was that would set Jane off
* You had seen enough in the books to know her moods were compatible at best.
* “I would...like to join” she awkwardly looking away, and you were sure if she could, she would be blushing.
* Honestly it’s kind of cute.
* “Sure, the more the merrier”
* And that’s how you basically adopted the sadist twins
* It’s a little harder to get Jane to open up, but once you make a comment about how Phoebe was the best character in friends, she starts to open up
* “Humans are cruel, even when they’re kind it’s only because they want something from you.”
* “Is that what you think about me? That I’m only nice to you because I want something?” she meets your eyes for a few minutes before turning away
* “I’m not sure”
* You understand very gradually why they’re so twisted
* They’d been treated terribly during their human life, in every kind act lingered a dark shadow, in even minor misunderstanding the image of a monster
* Their centuries in the Volturi didn’t help. Under Aro’s ruthless tutelage, and Caius’s sadistic tendencies, They had no one they could trust but each other.
* They were only surviving just as you were
* “Sometimes I wonder how much of my loyalty is real, and how much of it is Chelsea.” She whispers one day, so quietly you barley hear it
* You rest your hand on hers, it’s the only comfort you could think to offer
* When Jane grasps your hand in hers, she breaks every bone in your hand
* She doesn’t understand the pained screams or your mangled hand fit a second, and then she realizes what she did
* Alarmed she carries you halfway around the castle screeching for someone to help
* You pass out from the pain, when you come to you’re in your bed, a very cold hand holding your own
* “How are you feeling?” You don’t recognize this vampire, but you don’t really know anyone outside of Alec and Jane.
* You feel light headed, a warm feeling washing over you, you must be on some strong drugs
* “My body’s still grieving, but my mind is sharp.”
* It’s incoherent at best, but there’s truth to it, your body is still grieving for your parents and the life you’ve lost, but your otherworldly mind is ten steps ahead, cross referencing every action.
* The man offers a short chuckle
* “You really did a number on your hand. I’ve done what I can but...”
* You look down to your hand, half surprised by the bright yellow cast encasing it
* You had figured you would wake up to be a vampire, it just made sense, these were unfamiliar human aches to them after all and vampirism was a simple and effective cure
* They must want something from you, if they’re keeping you human
* You suspect it’s something along the lines of how they waited until Jane and Alec were burning at the stake to save them, so their power would be that much more potent
* Maybe they’re doing the opposite with you, trying to make you as happy as possible to see what effect it has on your ability
* It’s too bad you don’t have one
* “Thank you for your hard work.” You mumble, being human for a little bit longer is well worth the pain.
* “How did you break your hand?”
* “I held Janes’ hand”
* Your doctor let’s out a short laugh
* “That sounds about right”
* You smile, it does sound right, of course you would break your hand that way
* The conversation flows naturally after that, you talk about all sorts of things
* “You think vampires have souls?” He quirks an eyebrow
* “I’m of the opinion that a soul is something you create through hardship and struggle, being able to live longer means that you have more opportunities to have the experiences that result in a soul”
* “That’s an intriguing notion, I wish I had brought my son with me.”
* You’re about to ask about his son, when you’re interrupted by the door swimming open
* “I heard you were awake, are you alright?” Alec rushes in, his eyes frantic
* “Yeah these drugs are top notch” you press the button that releases the pain killers and let out a giggle
* “Is that alright? Humans are awfully sensitive.” Jane pipes up from behind Alec, you hadn’t noticed her in your haze.
* Your doctor chuckles
* “I’m aware,” he’s smiling but it’s strained
* “What’s wrong?” You ask, he was so calm until a second ago, he doesn’t answer you
* “I’ll give you three a moment.”
* You only register he’s gone when you hear the door close
* The twins rush over to you, Jane is kneeled by your side, while Alec hovers over you
* “I-I’m sorry I hurt you, I forgot-I didn’t remember.” You we’re sure Jane would be crying if she could
* “It’s okay, I know you didn’t mean it.” You raise your cast encased hand and give her a gentle pat on the head. “From now on, physical signs of affection will just be one sided.” You joke, which makes Jane grin
* “I’ll practice with some animals before I try touching you again”
* The three of you chat for a bit, they’re both surprised by your cast and ask several questions about its “primary function”
* “I didn’t know there was a doctor here” you murmur, feeling drowsy
* “Carlisle’s not with the Volturi, he’s from another coven in the new world.”
* Your drowsiness flies away in a second
* “That was Carlisle?”
* Jane looks somewhat confused but nods.
* A flutter of hope erupts in your chest, it’s so strong even your grief stricken body feels it
* You might have a chance. It’s slim, Carlisle has a family he loves and needs to protect. But still, they were strangers once too. No different than you.
* It’s a way out of here
* The next few days follow in a drugged haze, Alec and Jane visit every so often, and Carlisle engages you in occasional conversation while checking progress on your hand
* “Why are your eyes gold?” You know, but well, you need him to believe the lie
* “It’s a bit of a long story” he says with a wary smile.
* “I’m not going anywhere”
* He sighs, a genuine smile encompassing his face as he recounts the tale.
* Even though you’ve already heard it all before, it still makes you cry
* Even in the haze, you know something’s.... off
* There’s something about the way Alec won’t meet your eyes when he talks to you, and the uneasy weight that lingers in the air whenever someone else is in the room
* On the third day, it’s Aro who visits you, Alec and Carlisle in tow behind him.
* “Oh my, all that internal bleeding, how awful”
* Even you can feel the insincerity, but it’s the first you heard about internal bleeding
* So that explains it, the drugs and the aches all along your body, it wasn’t just your hand, you were dying
* “Don’t worry, we’ll save you” Aro’s smile is cruel “won’t we Alec?”
* Alec looks afraid, almost pained, but he nods
* Ah, so this was punishment for Alec too. Until that moment, when Jane broke your hand, Aro must have been ignorant to how close the three of you had gotten.
* You close your eyes, you knew this would happen eventually. There were only two ending to this story, and it seemed one had finally been picked
* You feel a pinch on your neck, right above your collar bone, no worse than a flue shot.
* You wait for the pain, the vivid screams you remember from the books and movies, but it never comes.
* Instead it’s just a warm numbness that spreads across your neck and left shoulder.
* “It doesn’t hurt” you murmur, you feel a cold hand rest against your forehead, Alex’s hand.
* It’s so gentle, he must have practiced on some animals first, you think.
* “No the pain comes later.”
* And so you drift into inky black unconsciousness, the last sleep of your human life in this world.
* You dream that you’re sitting at the bottom of a tree, a fig tree, like the one Sylvia Plath wrote about
* Each fig a different path, half of them have already fallen off, dark, as they rot at your feet
* “How do you do it?”
* You look to your side and find the person who’s face you see in the mirror, they’re hugging their knees to their chest, dark circles under their eyes
* “How do I do what?” You ask, they bite their lip
* “How can you be so strong when you’ve just lost everything?”
* You see their eyes brim with tears, and you look away, to the tree that looks over you both
* “I don’t know” It’s the truth, you have an unfair advantage in this world, because you know all the secrets each person carries, while yours remain shrouded in darkness. And yet... it’s not why you persevere
* “All I do know, is that I want to give them hell”
* Your counterpart grins at that, and to your surprise, you feel a smile stretch out across your face
* Yeah, it’s not about power, you just want raise some hell in this backwards misogynistic world.
* “I guess that’s the one you’re picking then huh?” Your counterpart points to a fig, it’s on the tallest branch of the tree, so far out of reach it almost seems unobtainable
* But you only nod
* “Yeah, I think that’s the way I’m going to go”
* They look at you and smile.
* “If you ever get the chance, I hope you punch that jerk Aro right in the face”
* You laugh.
* When you finally awake, you’re still laughing. A smile etched onto your face.
* Everyone’s there, all looking at you with concerned glances.
* Yeah, you’re going to have a lot of fun in this world.

Note
do you think carlisle wanted to be a dad or was dadhood thrust upon him
The latter.
He never shows any particular longing for children. When Rosalie speaks of her childlessness, she brings up Esme as one who wanted kids and is making do with the Cullens, not Esme and Carlisle. Carlisle doesn’t go full Father the way Esme does Mother, either, the parent-child dynamic that we see between Billy and Jacob or Charlie and Bella isn’t there. He treats his children like cherished and respected adults who sometimes need guidance, not quite kids. (More on this below.)
He doesn’t seem particularly drawn to kids, either, he lived in Volterra for decades yet his relationship with Alec and Jane is nonexistent, and whenever he meets up with Siobhan and Maggie (Maggie being 15) it’s Siobhan he focuses on.
Plus, and I know no one will be with me on this, but he just doesn’t have the vibe.
To backtrack a bit, how did Carlisle become the father figure in the Cullen family in the first place?
He never set out to become Edward’s father. He turned Edward because he’d grown attached to Elizabeth Masen, and she asked him to turn her son. After that, Carlisle looked at Edward as a potential vampire, and saw all the things Edward could be - a friend, a brother, or a son. He was willing to be a father, but brother or partner would have worked just fine by him as well. Edward got to choose which it would be, or rather Edward decided upon waking up: he took one look at Carlisle and said “yup, that’s my Heavenly Father”.
Then we have Rosalie, she could have been his sister, niece-but-not-daughter-figure, or friend-of-the-family-who’s-part-of-the-coven. Point being, she didn’t have to become his daughter, and yet she did. I can only assume that, like Edward, she chose it. As she found her place in the family, sister and daughter was what felt right for Rosalie in relation to Edward, Carlisle, and Esme.
Then Emmett entered the family, he was Rosalie’s husband, so son to Carlisle and Esme and brother to Edward it is. Alice and Jasper arrive, alright, guess we’re playing house! The coven leader and his mate are mother and father now.
Now, I don’t think the Cullens are secretly not a family, that the whole thing is a front brought on by contrivances. They make it clear again and again that they see each other as family, and they prove several times they’ll go to bat for Edward. And since this is a post about Carlisle I’ll stress that he even refers to newcomer Bella as being like a daughter to him.
The coven has its dysfunctions, yes, anyone who follows my blog knows that I think it’ll break up sooner or later, but that doesn’t delegitimize what they do have.
I think Carlisle is the father figure because that’s what the Cullens need him to be.
Edward was orphaned and alone in a brave new world, and immediately latched on to Carlisle. This isn’t the post to get into their relationship, suffice to say that he needs Carlisle to be his father and would not cope well with Carlisle saying “Fatherhood, huh, woof. Yeahh about that, kid...”
Of course, Carlisle thought of him as a potential son before turning him, but all the same this turned out to be what Edward needed.
Rosalie and Carlisle's relationship is also best reserved for a post of its own, but in a nutshell her parents were social climbers who viewed her beauty as their ticket up the social ladder:
“It was my mother’s job to keep our house — and myself and my two younger brothers — in spotless order. It was clear that I was both her first priority and her favorite. I didn’t fully understand at the time, but I was always vaguely aware that my parents weren’t satisfied with what they had, even if it was so much more than most. They wanted more. They had social aspirations — social climbers, I suppose you could call them. My beauty was like a gift to them. They saw so much more potential in it than I did.
 (...)
[I was] happy that my mother was proud of me and that my father liked to buy me pretty dresses. (Eclipse, page 90)
Enter then Carlisle Cullen, who has no interest in her beauty, no ambition on her behalf. He gave her this life she never wanted, yes, but in doing so he also saw something in Rosalie Hale that was worth it all, that he wanted to keep around for eternity.
Rosalie was very happy with her life, but even when reminiscing about how amazing it all was she is able to recognize that her parents loved her beauty, not so much Rosalie herself. Did she want that affection, of course, what child wouldn’t. But, I find the fact that she let Carlisle become her father telling.
I think he’s the father she wished Mr. Hale had been.
Alice is... complicated, but a big part of what she gets from being with the Cullens, from the high school routine and all the clothes, is personhood. She’s an inhuman entity with no memory of being human, and her visions make her even less connected to the physical world than other vampires are. How do you carve out a sense of self around that?
To her, performative humanity as a Cullen is just that, it’s her getting to be a person.
In that regard, having Carlisle around as a person to relate to, a father figure to give Alice Cullen the person substance, is precious.
Jasper doesn’t need a father, but he is in need of guidance and a confidante. Carlisle is implied to be this to him in Midnight Sun, when Jasper needs to be talked down from doing something rash and Alice’s response is to put him in Carlisle’s office and wait for Carlisle to come home and talk sense into him. Carlisle just smiles wryly and trots up the stairs to do what is apparently the not unheard of Jasper wrangling. I can see why the father/son thing comes naturally to them.
I think Renesmée to an extent will also fall under the umbrella of Cullens who act like baby birds around Carlisle, as explained in this post.
Emmett and Bella have no such void being filled by Carlisle. Do they see each other as family, sure, Emmett especially considering how many years they’ve been together.
(Also, yes I’m aware I didn’t include Esme’s relationship with the kids in this post, that’s not to dismiss her but because anon didn’t ask.)

Stress of a new life
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3,553 Alec x OC Swan Oneshot Warnings: Fluff, Angst
Comfort / Fluff Prompts: 2: “I’m at the hospital” 4: “How long has it been since you’ve slept?” 15: “You need to eat something” 16: “Stop telling me you’re ok” For @thevolturiarejustbetter who also gave me a detailed stroyline to work with.
Alice and Bella were talking in the kitchen when Luna came downstairs “Oh! Hi Alice. What are you doing here?” “I’ve come to see Bella…I had a vision…Bella…” “That doesn’t matter know Luna. We have to go to Italy. We need to save Edward” Bella cuts off Alice “Why? He left you. He didn’t want you” Jacob interjects “I’m not going to let him kill himself out of guilt” Bella tells him. “Luna…help…tell her to stay” “No. Jake. I may not like him much because of what he did, but she loves him. Come on Bells” Luna says as she takes Bella hand and leads her out of the house and over to Carlisle’s car.
Once Alice showed Aro her vision of Bella becoming immortal Aro decided to let them go…except Luna. “Ah Miss Swan…I cannot permit you to leave” Aro’s voice stops both Bella and Luna in their tracks “B-but you said…” “I said Bella could leave with Edward and Alice, you however…must stay” Aro says cutting Luna off “Why?” Bella asked “Because she is mated to Alec” Edward answers, Luna spins to face Edward, shock written across her face and he nods at her. Luna slowly turns back round to see Alec staring at her, his mouth in a thin line “I don’t think he likes me” Luna said to Aro low “He doesn’t like anyone” One of the lower guards mumbled from the back of the room. Alec hissed at him before turning to Demetri “Take her with you so she can say goodbye to them…please” Demetri nodded at Alec “Come on Luna” Alice says softly and takes her hand in hers as they walk back to reception.
A few hours later after Bella, Edward and Alice had left the castle, Luna found herself standing beside Alec in Aro’s private study, Caius and Marcus standing behind him at his desk. “Aro, with all due respect I cannot stay here, I’m 16 and am in High School…” “I understand that I do but you cannot leave my dear. Do you want to suffer the way your sister has for the last six months?” Aro pauses to allow Luna to speak but she doesn’t, she just shakes her head “Mates do not do well apart as you have seen for yourself and with regards to your schooling, you can finish the courses online and we can help you too” Aro continued and gave her a smile. “We can also teach you about our history and laws as you’ll need to know them now you’re part of the family” Marcus said softly “H-how soon do I…” “There will be no rush to turn you as you are living here with us” Caius replied and Luna nodded “This means that you and Alec can get to know each other without the added pressure of you being a newborn” Aro added and smiled at Alec. “Thank you masters” Alec replies and bows his head.
Luna was given her own room on the floor below the Elite Guard floor, her room was opposite Heidi’s. Jane was pleased that her brother’s mate was nowhere near the lower guard floor which meant no one could harm her, not that Jane was too worried about it. Heidi introduced herself and told Luna that if she needs anything she only has to ask. “I-I don’t have any clothes with me as I wasn’t intending to stay here. Are there any shops nearby?” She asked low “They’re closed now but I can take you tomorrow. I can lend you something to sleep in and clothes for tomorrow’s shopping trip” Heidi replied “That would be very nice of you. Thank you” Luna replied smiling.
The following morning Luna and Heidi got ready to go shopping. “I don’t have much money so it won’t be a long trip” Luna told Heidi “Don’t worry about any of that, the cost of the shopping trip is covered” Heidi replied and Luna went to argue “Nope, don’t argue hunny. It’s already been decided” Luna nodded and Heidi led her out of the castle. Heidi bought her some dresses from the little boutique that her, Chelsea and Corin buy theirs from. Luna also picked up jeans, t-shirts, underwear and shoes.
Luna signed up for her courses online with Demetri’s help “I studied for a degree online a few years back so I’m here to help you if you get stuck” He gave her a warm smile and sat on the sofa beside her “Thank you Demetri” She replied although she could feel herself getting stressed just thinking about studying online…alone. She wished she was back home with Bella because Bella could always calm her down if she was feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
Demetri had noticed that Alec wasn’t spending much time with Luna and that she seemed to be spending all of her time studying, he assumed this was her way of dealing with the situation. The desk in her room was covered in textbooks and notebooks with the laptop Caius had bought her sitting on the left side of her desk. Demetri and Heidi had lent her some books from their rooms for to read in her downtime.
“Luna, can we talk?” He asked getting her attention “Of course, what about?” “The twins” He answered her and she nodded and turned to face him. “Alec and Jane had a rough time when they were human. They were accused of being witches and after enduring years of verbal abuse and being cast out by the other villagers they were finally burned at the stake. Aro and Caius saved them just in time and gave them immortality” Demetri explained and Luna nodded, her eyes becoming glassy at the thought of Alec and Jane being treated so cruelly “Neither of the twins have ever been in a romantic or loving relationship so whilst the idea of finding their mates appeals to them, the reality is a lot scarier for them, especially if their mate is human” Demetri continued “So just don’t take it personally they’re not big fans of humans” Felix added.
Aro and Caius had noticed that Alec and Luna were not spending much time together so came up a scheme to get the two of them in the same room so they would have to talk. Caius met Luna and Alec in the Library one Friday afternoon “Right I need the two of you to put those boxes of books away correctly” Caius instructed them and pointed to the four boxes that were on the tables. Alec and Luna did as Caius asked but barely spoke to each other for the few hours they were together, something Caius wasn’t happy about. “Please can you help me to reach the higher shelf?” Luna asked Alec “Sure, just leave the book on that table” He replied and pointed to the table beside him “Thank you.” “How’s your studying going?” Alec asked Luna “It’s ok, thanks. There’s just a lot of it as I’m doing everything online.” He nodded in response and resumed placing the books onto the correct shelve. She didn’t want to burden him by telling him she was struggling and getting stressed out with her schoolwork and trying to settle into the castle full of vampires.
A few days later Luna had decided to study in the Library as it would make a change of scenery from her room. She was so engrossed in her studies she lost track of time and didn’t hear Felix enter the room. “How long has it been since you’ve slept?” Felix asked as took a seat beside her at the table where she had all of her books laid out “I slept for a few hours last night” She replied “Let me rephrase little human. When was the last time you got between 6 to 8 hours sleep?” “I don’t know Fe. When was the last time you got between 6 to 8 hours sleep?” Demetri chuckled from his place on the sofa “You walked right into that one” “It’s been centuries since I slept seeing as I’m a vampire” Felix responded looking at Luna, she didn’t respond just gave him a small smile and returned to her studies.
Demetri had noticed over the months the tell-tale signs of Luna being stressed as there were two things she would do; tapping her nails on the table or constantly twirling her hair around her fingers. Felix noticed that these little things appeared to irritate Alec although he never said anything to Luna as she was his mate. There was a part of Alec that found the hair twirling thing adorable.
Luna had been in Italy for about three months when her relationship with Alec changed, her bond with Alec had taken hold and according to Marcus it was very strong, despite her and Alec barely seeing one another. She could count the number of conversations they had shared, not that she would class them as conversations. She had tried talking to him when they were in the same room but he didn’t return the conversation as he found it hard to talk to her.
Luna had spent the past four days studying and completing assignments as Alec was away from the castle along with Jane, Demetri and Felix. She missed Demetri and Felix as they had become her friends in the few months since she arrived at the castle. She missed Alec too but she put that down to the mate bond that was in effect because she wasn’t sure if she knew him well enough to miss him on her own.
Luna decided to go out for a little while and get some fresh air, finally taking a break from her studies. She walked around the shops and picked herself up some snacks and a new notebook for later. She was waiting inline at her favourite Coffee Shop when she felt a little lightheaded and swayed slightly trying to steady herself but failed. She fainted and dropped to the floor, the reflexes of the man behind her not being quick enough to catch her.
Luna woke up in hospital, her head was throbbing and when she lifted her hand to her head, she felt a bandage on the left side of her forehead. “Oh, you’re awake. Don’t try and get up. You hit your head and we need to keep you in for a few hours so we can check if you have a concussion now you’re awake.” The nurse said as she came to stand beside the bed and checked Luna’s vitals. Luna nodded and sighed ‘Alec is going to be so upset if I’m not back soon’ she thought to herself.
Luna had been gone for a few hours and Alec wasn’t too worried about her as he knew that if he needed to find her he could simply ask Demetri to track her. ‘It’s a good thing that she’s taken a break from her studies, she was looking tired’ he thought to himself and continued to read his book.
Sometime later, Alec’s phone rung and he didn’t recognise the number but something inside him told him to answer the phone. “Hello” “Alec, it-it’s me…” “Luna? Where are you calling me from?” “I’m at the hospital” “What? Why?” “I-I fainted. Will…you come and get me…please?” Luna’s voice was low and full of emotion as she didn’t know if he would come and get her “Of course I’ll come get you. I’ll be there as soon as I can.” He hung up the phone and made his way to Demetri’s room, not bothering to knock before he entered.
“Demetri I need you to take me to the hospital…” “Why?” Demetri asked cutting him off “Luna’s there. She fainted. I need to bring her home” Demetri stood and nodded “I’ll get my keys” They passed Jane on the way down to the underground garage “Please let the Kings know we’re going to bring Luna home. She’s at the hospital” “Of course brother” She replied and hurried to the throne room.
Demetri and Alec arrive at the hospital and make their way to the front desk “We’re here to collect Luna Swan. She was admitted after she fainted” “Of course, one moment” The receptionist put some details into the computer before turning her attention back to Demetri and Alec “Miss Swan’s in Room 215” The receptionist replies with a smile. Demetri and Alec make their way to her room and find her sitting on the bed waiting for them.
“Luna, darling how are you feeling?” Demetri asked as he stepped closer to the bed “I’m ok. I’m sorry for any trouble I’ve caused” She replied low “You haven’t caused any trouble. You’re safe and well and that’s what matters, right Alec?” Demetri said as he turned to look at Alec. “I’m just glad you called me, but I just want to get you home” Alec said and held out his hand to her. Demetri smiled at the small gesture as he knew Alec struggled to show his emotions…to anyone but Jane. Luna stood from the bed and hesitantly places her hand in Alec’s cold one, the moment their hands touched Alec intertwined their fingers and gave her hand a small squeeze. She looked up at him and he gave her a tiny smile, one that she returned.
They arrive back at the castle and Alec leads her straight to his room, passing the stairs that led up to her room in the process, something Luna and Demetri notice. Demetri smiled to himself as he watched Alec with Luna ‘I hope this incident brings them closer’ he thinks to himself.
They enter Alec’s room to find Jane, Felix, the Kings and Queens waiting for them, the fireplace had been lit also giving the room a light glow.
Dora stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Luna “Oh child, I’m so glad you’re ok. I was worried when Jane told us the news of you being hospital” “Yes, you gave us a quite the scare” Sia added as she wrapped her arms around Luna and Dora, Alec held back a growl at Luna being taken from him by the Queens. “You need to eat something now you’re back home with us” Marcus said softly and Luna nodded “I’ll have Gianna prepare anything you want” He added with a smile. “Could I have some toast and Jam please?” Luna’s voice was low in the room “Of course my dear. I’ll ask Gianna to make you a cup of tea too” Marcus replied “Thank you Marcus.”
Caius stepped forward next and looked her over “You need to rest and I do not want you left alone for the next few days…just in case” He places his hands on her cheeks and gives Alec a quick look over her head “Luna’s staying in here with me. I’ll look after her” Alec says looking at Caius, who nods in response. “Very good. We’ll take our leave now we know you’re ok. If you need anything and I do mean anything, please let us know” Aro says with a smile and takes Sia’s hand in hers. Luna smiled at them and appreciated their concern as she watched them leave.
Alec steps forward and Luna feels an arm slide around her back, a hand coming to rest on her waist. “How are you feeling sweetie?” Jane asked “I’m ok. I just feel silly for fainting and I’m sorry for…disturbing Alec” “You have no reason to feel silly darling, you’re human. It happens sometimes” Demetri told her, his voice comforting. “You didn’t disturb me love and even if you did, you don’t need to feel sorry for that. I’m your mate, you can disturb me anytime” Alec told her as his free hand gently turned her face towards his. She nodded and murmured “Thank you Alec.” “We’ll leave you be too” Demetri said and nodded towards the door, Felix and Jane followed him out.
Alec and Luna were alone in his room and it was quiet, something Luna seemed ok with as she made her way over to the sofa and took a seat. She let out a sigh and he saw her shoulders relax a little and he smiled to himself. He passed his desk on his way to the sofa to join her when he heard her phone vibrate as it was still on silent. Bella’s name was flashing on the screen “Here it’s Bella” Alec said and handed her the phone” “Thank you” She replied.
“Luna, Luna, are you ok?” Bella’s voice told Luna how worried Bella was “Bella, I’m fine I…” “Really? You fainted. You ended up in hospital” Bella cut her off “Really. It’s warm here and I was a little dehydrated…” “How did that happen? Are you not looking after yourself?” “I’ve been busy studying for exams and doing assignments…” “What and Alec hasn’t taken care of you? Are you being neglected?” “This has nothing to do with Alec. I’m fine Bella” Luna started to get upset with her sister as it seemed like she rung just to have a go at her. “I’ve eaten since I got back from the hospital and I am fine. Alec has…” “Stop telling me you’re ok” Bella said frustration clearly showing in her voice. Alec sighed again and made his way over Luna and gently took the phone from her. “Bella, you’re upsetting Luna and I won’t allow it. She really is ok, she just over did it with the studying and forgot to eat and drink plenty, apparently it’s a human thing and is common around exam times” Alec says, trying not to lose his temper at Bella “I just want to know she’s being taken care of Alec” “I was away for a few days but I’m back now and I am going to take care of her and she’ll call you in a few days. Goodbye Bella” Alec ended the call and turned her phone off.
Alec turned to face Luna and noticed tears were beginning to fall and he gently lifted his hands to her face wiping them away with his thumbs. “Don’t cry love” He said softly “I-I’m not ok Alec. I’m stressed about school, living here is…different and we…we…don’t really talk to each other” Luna’s voice was low and shaky as she told him how she really felt in that moment. Alec gently lifted her into his arms and carried her to his bed, placing her gently on top of the duvet. “How about we talk now?” He asked and she nodded. He climbed on the bed beside her and gently wrapped his arms around her “As you’ve been honest with me…I’ll be honest with you” “O-ok” “I’m not very good at showing my emotions or talking about them…unless it’s with Jane and for that I’m truly sorry. I should have made more of an effort with you, although I was always around to ensure you were safe…along with Demetri and Felix” He chuckled “They seem to be very fond of you, apparently, you’re their ‘little human’” It was Luna’s turn to chuckle “Yea, well I am little compared to them and they’re nice. I like them” “Yea, they’re alright” He agreed.
They laid there in silence for a few moments before Luna spoke again “Demetri told me about your past. Your experience with humans and how…how you became immortal…” She paused to look at Alec and noticed his face was the same as before; relaxed. He nodded for her to continue “He wanted me to know, wanted me to understand that you not talking to me or not being around much wasn’t personal to me…it was due to your dislike of humans in general” “I’m sorry that my behaviour made you feel you couldn’t come and talk to me and that you worried about calling me but I’m glad you called me to come get you and not Demetri or Felix” “You’re my mate…even if we don’t spend time together and I didn’t want to upset you” Her reply was low and her honestly hurt him a little. “I promise to do better Luna. We can work this mate thing out together…if you’d like?” She smiled and nodded “I’d like that very much Alec” He smiled back at her before making his confession “You are my mate, mine to love forever and even though I’ve given you no reason to believe me…I do love you. I love you more than I ever thought possible and…and I want you to move into my room with me. I want this to be our room.”
More tears fell down Luna’s cheek and she sniffled a little “I-I love you too and I’d like to share your room with you…get to know you better” “Then it’s settled. Our forever starts now” He told her and pressed his lips gently to hers in a soft kiss. “That was my first kiss” “Mine too” He replied softly and tightened his hold on her a little. “Sleep my love. I’ll be here when you wake.” Luna and Alec spoke for a little longer before she finally fell asleep in his arms. ‘my little human’ he thought to himself and closed his eyes relaxing beside her.

Hiii again! Can I please request a Platonic (Eventually Dad!)Demetri Volturi x Platonic!fem!Young Teen (eventually Daughter!) reader where she sneaks (because of a dare from friends at school) into the Volturi Castle 🏰 without any of the vampires knowing (somehow) but she gets caught by Demetri & Felix, and when the Kings find out that a HUMAN CHILD was able to successfully sneak into the castle without anyone knowing, they’re so impressed that they let her stay (especially after having Eleazar come to Volterra to see if she will have an ability when she’s turned, which she will- the ability to turn invisible, go undetected, as well as make others invisible (like with no sound, smell or anything), so they have her join the higher guard (after having Dem turn her) with Demetri, Felix, Jane, and Alec. Demetri takes her under his wing (he absolutely loves her (in a fatherly, platonic way) and is extremely protective and fond of her. She sees him as not only a mentor, but also a father figure (she starts to call him Dad eventually, which Dem would be sooo happy) and he sees her as his daughter. She’d even call Felix “Uncle Felix” as she’d be super close with him as well. The twins probably would be skeptical of her first, because she’s new yet got to go straight to the high guard, and also they’d probably see her as competition (but Y/n is just vibing and trying to be nice lol, she doesn’t really care about ranks)🥰
All done!

Hi! Multi faceted question if that’s ok😊
How would you describe the personal style of the twins? Do you think they would occasionally dress the same or would they have completely different styles?
Also, if the guard watched TV what shows and genres would they be into? If they had a movie night, would they rotate who gets to chose the film and would there be any no-go films or genres?
Sorry, that’s quite a large ask…😅
Thank you!
Hello and no problem!
For the twins, I headcanon that their styles have changed from each others’ over the years as they became further entrenched in the Volturi.  I’m thinking Jane gravitates towards a preppier look and darker colors in general, a conscious (or perhaps unconscious) attempt to wear what she thinks would fit in best with the rest of the Volturi and look less childish.  Also, Jane’s got a preppy vibe.

For Alec... honestly I could see him wearing a sweatshirt under his cloak. Probably owns some T-shirts. Overall, I'm leaning towards him prioritizing comfort over style. Also headcanon-ing that he has a pair of sunglasses for no reason other than Demetri bought a pair and looked cool.

Heidi watches soap operas if just for the aesthetic. She also enjoys historical dramas with Chelsea, Corin, and Demetri. Afton and Chelsea will also watch rom-coms together, missing half the movie because they're busy staring at each other. He likes horror flicks too. Felix, Demetri, and Santiago, on the other hand, prefer more action - go figure. Sometimes Alec joins in when they're watching sit-coms (he likes the laugh tracks). Jane and Renata will watch reality TV if it's on as well as musicals. And they do not sing along, Alec. (This is how Aro ended up getting High School Musical locked in his mind.)
I think they rotate through most genres, probably depending on who's present. For example, the coven's firm on not letting Jane and Alec see R-movies, despite the twin having been through battles and, you know, them being vampires. They don't think it's fair either.
As far as absolutely-not films go, they all stay far away from legal dramas.
That's Caius' domain.
