#THEBEARWEEK is one week of glorious blogging occuring June 14th through June 21st, 2023 dedicated to the favorite show of line cooks, lesbians, and lethargic thirty-somethings across the nation, The Bear! It's time for us to come together and share everything we love about the show, from our favorite characters to our favorite dialogue, and more!

The following are suggestions for themes for each day, but feel free to gif, write, draw, picspam, make playlists, meta, and squee about anything you like!

This event (and the post itself) would not have been possible without @gahees and I want to thank her very much for entrusting me with their ideas and doing all of the heavy lifting, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Day One: Dialogue [an exchange that made you laugh, cry, or anything in between; phrases or words from the show that’ve leaked into your real life conversations; a conversation that lives in your head rent free]

Day Two: Family [a supporting character you hope to see more of in s02; a character who left a deep impression on you even though they didn’t have a lot of screen time]

Day Three: Work [favorite moment inside The Beef; an aspect of work you feel the show depicted well; your favorite meal or dish made by Carmen, Sydney, Marcus, or even Sugar]

Day Four: Recur [favorite theme or motif—found family, genius wunderkind, dysfunctional families, food, brotherhood and siblinghood, death, artistic expression through work, alienation & loneliness]

Day Five: Levity [favorite moment(s) of joy or humor]

Day Six: Conflict/Heart [favorite, most interesting, or most touching relationship— anything from Sydney and Tina, Marcus and Carmen, Carmen and Richie, Sydney and Marcus, Sugar and Carmen, to Carmen and Sydney]

Day Seven: Free Day/Catharsis [everything that can’t fit into a week—music, outfits, favorite episode, depiction of Chicago, etc.; or your favorite thing about the end of s01]

i never understood ppl claiming percy has never suffered the consequences of his loyalty. you're talking about percy "i know the prophecy said my friend would betray me but these are my friends they wouldn't betray me" jackson, who walked into a remote part of the forest with luke and almost died in book one. you're talking about percy "kronos told me point-blank there was a traitor but i can't imagine any of these ppl betraying me" jackson, who decided to stop looking for the traitor and moved on. you're talking about percy "nico is acting suspicious and very clearly hiding something from me but he's my friend and i trust him" jackson, who walked into nico's very obvious set up and almost got himself held hostage during the titan war. percy is so loyal that he cannot fathom betrayal until it's happening, and it has nearly killed him multiple times.

#i think ppl focus on what athena said #'you would destroy the world to save a friend'#but that's not fatal for percy! that's what makes percy dangerous *to the gods*#loyalty is a fatal flaw *for percy* bc he can be told point blank that his friend will betray him and still not be able to comprehend it!#i don't know that percy ever voiced his inability to consider betrayal to anyone (in the books i'm pretty sure it's internal dialogue)#so all anyone else sees is the danger he poses to *them* and *their plans*#percy jackson #percy jackon and the olympians #pjo hoo toa #pjo books #fatal flaws #percy #min talks pjo

The thing that I love the most about Doctor Who is that it’s just SOOOOOO bad. It’s awful. It’s dreadful. It’s cheesy and stupid and terrible. It has dialogue like “I am the beep of all the meeps!” It’s truly the most embarrassing cringeworthy thing you’ve ever seen. It’s been that way for 60 years. It’s gonna be that way for another 60. It doesn’t matter what kind of budget or fan base they receive. It’s always gonna be this stupid.

I love it so fucking much.

my favourite underrated moment in aftg is when they're all shopping for halloween costumes and neil finds like. a milk carton costume with a cutout for his face and the caption "have you seen me?" and he holds it up in front of him, only for andrew to go "oh that's perfect neil!" like lmao?? that's such an unhinged comment to make??? we as a fandom don't talk enough about how little of a filter andrew has when he does bother to speak. what a silly man i love him
