"5 AM when i walked in, could not believe what i saw"
yn: JAKEY JAKE JAKEY pleaseee come tk the club rn i habent seen u since u got nack :(
jake chuckles at the message as he reads it. he glances over at the clock that reads 4:38 AM. he knows that clubs in korea don’t close until 8 but god damn how are you still partying with your friends this late? he figures that you must’ve had a little too much to drink and your party animals for friends don’t help at all.
jake: ik baby but we had schedules right when we landed and im so tired… how are u even still there rn???
yn: TOO MICJ FUN :D
yn: COME HAVE FUN WITH ME BABY ;)
jake: u make it rlly hard to say no to u
jake: ill be there soon<3
jake sighs as he rises from his bed, making sure not to wake jay who’s fast asleep. he envies how jay can be sleeping so peacefully when jake is experiencing the worst jet lag of his life. you being out at 4 in the morning and his racing mind doesn't help him try to get some shut eye either.
he dresses quickly, making sure it's quiet when he exits the dorms. it’s not his finest fashion moment but he could care less about what he looks like. he’s only going out to see you and to possibly save you from whatever crazy antics you and the girls are up to.
jake isn’t going to lie when he says he hasn’t made the best effort to see you after getting back from tour. but he also didn’t lie when he said his schedule was super jam packed these days. he should’ve immediately ran to you as soon as he landed but he just didn’t have it in him. guilt gnawed away at his heart as he hailed a cab to lead him to the club you were having the time of your life at.
jake enters the back of the club smoothly without drawing any attention. thankfully your friends secured a vip table upstairs in a secluded area, making it easy for clubgoers to not notice that an idol was going to a club at godforsaken hours.
approaching the table he sees you right away. it’s not hard to spot your beautiful red dress, hugging every curve on your body. your long hair flows as you sway your hips back and forth. jake smiles to himself. how did he manage to bag the most gorgeous girl in all of seoul, korea? it was clear you were having way too much fun, giggling and dancing with your friends and-
he quietly gasps. the scene before him makes him halt in his tracks. it was like time stopped and the flashing lights began to blind his vision. his heart rate slowed and his palms were becoming clammy.
maybe he was mistaken. there was no way you would do this to him, he thinks. but there you were cuddled up next to a man, drunk out of your mind. jake can't stand another minute watching you and the mysterious person grind up against one another.
in a blinded rage he rushes towards the guy and pushes him away from you with all of his power. “GET THE FUCK OFF MY GIRL!” you shriek and the guy stumbles backwards sending a few drinks flying off of a nearby table. “YOU MIND TO TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE YN?!”
your mouth is agape and your mind is scrambling to figure out what to say. you know you can’t explain how you were practically dry humping a stranger, too shocked and the alcohol still strong in your system. you're struggling to say something, anything to try to make things right.
“and you,” jake turns and gets too close to the man’s face. “she’s clearly too inebriated to make the right decisions. how DARE you take advantage of her like that?!” you’re confused as to why he’s flipping the script and blaming the stranger but jake rips you away from everyone too fast for you to think another second. you stumble as you’re dragged away to a dark corner.
the two of you are standing in awkward silence, no one daring to say a word. your eyes are looking everywhere but jake. you’re too afraid to see what kind of expression his face has. “jake i-” “no. you don’t get to speak right now. there’s nothing you could say to justify what i just saw.”
ragged breaths begin to come out of your mouth and your chest is tightening. “jake please baby i just- i was so drunk and these guys came up to us and…” your sentence trails off, every word you’re saying just sounds so ridiculous at the moment. he’s right. you couldn’t say anything to excuse your wrongful actions.
“and to think i came here at fuck ass o’ clock just to come and see you. i’ve barely gotten an ounce of sleep these days but i gave that up to come because you were BEGGING for me to be here.” his voice is angry and you know he has every right to be screaming at you. at this point tears are threatening to spill from both of your guys’ eyes. “jake… i know i know and i’m so sorry i swear nothing like that-”
“NO. no just no,” he pauses carefully choosing the words he’s about to say next. “you’re right. there won’t be a next time… we’re done.” the tears that brimmed your lashes are now falling. the alcohol that once ran through you is now gone. you move to grab his hand but he takes a step back. the distance between you two grows larger and he seems out of reach.
“jake please we can work this out! please don’t leave me because of this.” your pleas are ringing in his ears but he ignores them. “we can’t come back from this yn. how could you think i’d ever trust you from now on?! don’t contact me ever. have a nice life.” the loud music pounds on the walls just like your heart is in your chest. you’re left alone sobbing, wondering how you managed to fuck up the best relationship you’ve ever had.
jake stumbles out of the club, trying to clutch onto anything to help him out. the fresh breeze of the night blows onto his face and helps him regain his breath. he struggles to get his thoughts together as he walks down the sidewalk back to the dorms.
maybe he was too harsh with the way he spoke to you but he knew it had to be done. seeing you cling onto someone that wasn't him was his ticket out. he knows that you're absolutely going to be broken for awhile but you'll be okay, right? he knows that you're going to blame yourself for this for who knows how long but you're going to be fine in the end, right?
he convinces himself that it's better you than him because now,
he'll never have to admit what he was doing while he was away from you on tour.
"i caught you but you never caught me, i was sitting here waiting on karma, there goes my guilty conscience."

Interview Slip Ups
Liv Morgan x Reader
Word Count: 1.1k
Warnings: None
Summary: There were a few good things about working for WWE, but out of all those things, you missed Liv the most. ( Not my gif)
An: Major fluff
Masterlist
Tumblr media
The wrestling world had many couples. It is common in almost any job for there to be at least one couple. However, in wrestling things were a little more convoluted. Sometimes couples break up and have to run storylines together, sometimes someone gets fired, and sometimes you're separated by a brand split.
Y/n had gotten released by WWE in one of the cuts. Liv took it pretty hard, considering that first her friends were cut and now her girlfriend.
Luckily, Y/n wasn't out of work for too long, immediately being snatched up by AEW. The only thing that bothered her about it was being away from Liv.
They weren't a public couple, so only a few close friends knew about the strain on their relationship.
Y/n hadn't talked much about WWE since leaving, until Renee asked her to be on Oral Sessions. The former superstar was initially scared, she knew she was in good hands with Renee. What she didn't know was that she would incriminate herself without any help from the host.
" Do you miss anything about WWE?"
Y/n pondered for a moment," So many of my friends are there, and I miss being on the road with them. Sometimes I miss the big ol' cinematic feel that Raw and Smackdown have. But out of everything there, I miss Liv the most. She's always on the road with WWE, and I'm obviously always with AEW. I just miss her so much, like I'm so tired of FaceTime. I just want to be able to kiss her in person."
Renee opens and closes her mouth a few times before Y/n realizes what she's done," Oh shit. I mean um, well fuck… I can't really take that back, can I?"
Renee laughs at how flustered Y/n is," No, I don't think you can."
Y/n shrugs her shoulders," Sorry Liv, don't be mad. I miss you."
Renee continues to laugh before moving on to the next topic. Once the interview is over, Y/n's phone starts blowing up with notifications.
She doesn't get the chance to look at them all before she gets a FaceTime call from Liv. Though she wants to ignore it, she also wants to see Liv.
Y/n picks up the phone," Hi, babe… how was your day?"
Liv gives Y/n the look and even on the screen it's pretty intimidating," My day was fine, I think we should talk about yours."
Y/n scratches the back of her neck," It was good, I was on Renee's podcast."
Liv fakes a pensive face," Hmmm, what did you talk about on the podcast."
Nervous laughter fumbles out of Y/n's mouth," Oh, you know a little bit of everything. WWE, AEW, um other things."
" Personal things," Liv stated.
Y/n broke," Baby, I'm sorry it was an accident. I just really missed you. I mean, Renee is just so good at her job, I forgot we were live. It felt like a convo between two friends."
Liv drops the angry act as soon as Y/n cracks," I'm not mad, well maybe a little because you said you didn't like my FaceTimes."
Y/n shook her head," No, I love your FaceTimes, I just wish we could have a little more than that sometimes. Like I'm home for the weekend, and you're not here."
Liv frowns a little," I know, I miss you too. Are you home any time next week?"
Y/n checks her schedule on her phone, trying to figure out a day she can just make free," I could be home for a few hours on the 5th, but I'd need a red eye that night."
" That sounds too stressful, baby."
Y/n shakes her head," I honestly don't care, as long as I get to see you."
Liv gives her a stern look," You should care. You can't be jet-lagged and sleep-deprived in the ring, anything can happen."
The AEW star whines," This sucks."
Liv sighs," I know, but we'll see each other soon, I promise. I love you way too much to go any longer. It feels like I'm having withdrawal."
" Same, I need an extra dose of Liv like right now," Y/n slumps on the couch.
" When we see each other, I promise you'll see so much of me, you'll be so sick."
Y/n laughs," I'd never get sick of you."
" I've gotta go baby, I'll call you later, ok?"
" Ok, be safe, love you," Y/n says to the phone.
" Love you too, bye," Liv waves her hand before ending the call.
Y/n takes this alone time to scroll through social media. Most of the reactions to her accidentally outing her relationship were funny memes.
She retweeted a bunch of them and shared some on her Instagram stories. She hadn't realized how long she had been on the phone until the doorbell rang.
Y/n assumed it was a package and trudged to the front door. When she opened it, she was immediately tackled to the ground. However, she knew this frame of person.
" Surprise!"
Liv was on top of her. Y/n didn't even notice Ruby behind Liv holding the blonde's phone, recording the whole thing.
Y/n squealed and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. She pulled Liv into a sweet kiss. When Ruby started cheering, Y/n finally noticed her.
" I just had to get her, especially after this morning. You sounded like a total simp," Ruby says to Y/n.
" My simp," Liv places an extravagant kiss on Y/n's cheek.
Y/n kisses Liv again, this time more passionately and Ruby makes the executive decision to end the live.
" How long are you home for?"
Liv breaks out into a big smile," The whole weekend."
Y/n's eyes light up," The whole weekend?"
The short woman nods excitedly," The whole weekend."
" I missed you so much," Y/n mumbles into her neck.
Ruby clears her throat," Well, I'm just going to leave you two here. I'm sure you have lots of catching up to do."
The pair sprang into action, enveloping Ruby in a hug that she didn't necessarily want," Thanks for the special delivery Ruby, I owe you one."
" Ya ya ya any time lovebirds, now let me go," Ruby slips out of their grasps and out of the door.
" Well, what now?"
Y/n rushes towards Liv, picks her up and spins her around. The blonde giggles at her lover," Is it safe to assume that you missed me?"
" I've said it like 80 times already," Y/n says.
" I know one of those times was on a livestream for millions of people to see," Liv teases.
Y/n blushes," Well, what can I say, I love me some Liv Morgan."
" I'll never get tired of hearing that."
" Good," you kiss her again," Cause I'll never get tired of saying it."

re: your tags & queliot, like.... i just don't feel like it's a great of an example of them not being on the same page in an existential rather than circumstantial way? q is grieving & el is panicking & it's a perfect storm of not "getting" each other, sure, but then they still do in their weird way. idk it feels like an example of their lived-in closeness & easily overcome minor discord instead of an example of them at fundamental odds. (& all the best queliot fic i know incl this element tbh)
i was gonna be like "oh yeah 'fundamental odds' was a definite overstatement" but then i went back to figure out i'd actually said and i didn't say anything like that, so i kinda feel like you are reading some stuff into what i said that isn't actually there. like, i said they're not at all on the same page, which they're not in that specific moment, and also that eliot is being annoying, which is subjective, and which i stand by but obviously don't expect anyone else to agree with, lol. i wouldn't even really call this overcoming discord because i feel like it doesn't even rise to that level - it's just, like, a conversation they have that is fine - and i am personally compelled by the dynamic they have in the show where they have this really deep well of trust and loyalty and almost unthinking acceptance between them, and it's not necessarily coupled by like, thinking all that deeply about each other. that's like... idk! it's interesting! not everyone can do that, or wants to do that, or has ever met anyone they just fundamentally liked enough that they wanted to do it for! not everyone can find comfort and love and solace in a bond that sometimes relies on "i can't explain this but this is how it is" / "ok well i don't get it but sure okay." i wouldn't really call it good or bad so much as it is a way in which they are not like all pairs of fictional or real people who like each other, and therefore noteworthy to me personally.
but, also, in that scene, there's like an entire 5 seconds where quentin shows up with something very important to him he wants, and eliot fully dismisses him out of hand because he has other shit on his mind. and then he quickly clocks that quentin is quite serious about this and switches seamlessly over into "if it's important to you then do it" mode because he adores quentin and wants him to follow his heart and do what's important to him always! but i think that 5 seconds of lag time is funny and would like to read a fic or two where it appears, like where for just 5 seconds quentin is like "eliot i am having feelings and/or a desire" and eliot is like "sorry we're closed" before catching up to the reality that this is quentin whom he love very dearly and very much, which i truly cannot off the top of my head think of an example of (recs welcome if you got 'em!), and which, to be clear, i certainly have no plans to ever write, since every single eliot fic i have ever written features an eliot POV that is pretty intensely laser focused on The Quentin Coldwater Of It All, because that is of course a very fun and sexy thing to write and also to read over and over again. like this is just a wish, like how i love very much several fics about them falling in love at brakebills and also i would like to read a fic where they date at brakebills and it ends horribly and then they get back together like 10 years later or whatever, which i won't be writing either because it would make me too sad. i also would love to read a fic where eliot, as he does in canon, one time calls penny "dude." sometimes i just want stuff and it doesn't mean a lot!

LOVED the new sick Blair!!! From the sickee list could you do 1-21-32-63-94 for her, and caretaker list 15-19-29-32-34-62-99 for Dakota? Like they go out with friends, having a great night, everyone orders a huge sharing meal, or the same dish, basically everyone ate the same food but she’s the only one getting badly ill from it? Thank you lots xx
Thanks for the great request, anon :)
From the Sickee list:
1. “Is dinner sitting okay with you? Because I’m not feeling too good…”
21. "I don't think I'm okay."
32. "I can't believe I just threw up on you. I'm so sorry."
63. "My stomach's cramping really bad."
94. "Everyone's staring at me."
From the Caretaker list:
15. "It's okay. We can clean it up. Don't worry about it."
19. "Where does it hurt? Do you feel like you're going to be sick?"
29. "You haven't kept anything down in hours. I think I should take you to the hospital."
32. "You haven't been sick like this in a long time."
34. "You don't need to be embarrassed. It's just me."
62. “Let me tell the guys we’re leaving. I’m taking you home.”
99. "How bad does your stomach hurt? Should I be taking you to the hospital?"
----------------
One of the perks of living in a populous city like Toronto was the night life. New restaurants, lounges, and clubs popped up all over the place.
Dakota had convinced Blair (and Madix and Riley) to have a double date so they could try out the newest restaurant along King Street West. That area of the city was already bustling with life after dark, so they decided to make a whole of night it.
The eatery had a gimmick—as most new places usually did to attract customers. It was called Platter because each dish came out on a huge platter piled high with food. Every table had two or three large saucers set upon it. The four of them agreed on a spinach dip that came inside a shelled-out loaf of bread, a mountain of nachos, and an antipasto platter for a lighter option that consisted of cheese, vegetables, and meats.
“There’s no way we can eat all this,” Blair said, eyeing the feast. She figured they’d all have food hangovers the next day.
Dakota laughed at her, already getting his fingers dirty with nachos. “You should know by now not to underestimate me, babe.”
“I’ve made that mistake,” Madix said, also digging in. “I always end up looking foolish.”
From across the table. Blair and Riley shrugged at each other before going in for the food they wanted.
“Besides,” Dakota said as he cross contaminated the platters by refusing to focus on one dish at a time, “we’re going to the new lounge after this so we can’t leave leftovers.”
Throughout the meal they talked a bit about the wedding, and how stressful that was. Then Madix mentioned going through a rough patch with his mental health. Blair saw Riley’s hand slide under the table to comfort Madix.
Dakota had stopped eating to listen to this, which was saying something. “I’m sorry that’s happening to you, man.”
“Yeah, it’s…” Madix looked down at his lap, “…it’s not been fun, but I’m seeing someone so hopefully it gets better.”
“If you need anything—” Dakota began.
“—I know.” Madix looked at his friend knowingly. “I know.”
The conversation got lighter as they got fuller. In the end, Dakota ensured that they left with empty platters and stuffed bellies.
“How far is the club?” Riley asked, hanging off Madix’s arm as they walked down the street. “I don’t think I can make it.” He was dragging his feet, as were the rest of them. The meal was weighing them down.
Dakota assured them that it wasn’t much further. He thought it was a good thing that they got to burn off the calories and shed some of their fatigue. Madix dragged Riley along faster, leaving only Blair to lag behind. Dakota fell back so that he wouldn’t leave his girlfriend alone.
The so-called club was more of a lounge. It had a chill vibe with music that didn’t deafen every newcomer. There was a dance floor on the lower level, but there was also an outdoor patio with chairs and several space heaters. The inside rooms also had pool tables.
Blair found herself on the patio, looking out over the city. She had lost her friends to the pool tables, but that was okay because she needed a moment of peace. Dakota was in such high spirits. Her, not so much.
Her stomach was still struggling to digest the food she’d eaten. It was not putting her into a festive state.  In fact, her tummy was the most active thing about her. It churned nauseatingly beneath her hand while the rest of her body wanted to shut down.
The cool night air felt good against her skin. Beads of sweat made her feel sticky and uncomfortable. No—the nausea made her uncomfortable; the sweat was just a nuisance.
Her golden retriever of a boyfriend suddenly appeared next to her, carrying two drinks. He smelt like alcohol, but his demeanour did not indicate that he was anything but tipsy. With his constitution and such a full stomach, it would take a quite a few drinks for him to get drunk. He held the cups steady in his hands and walked up to her easily. “Hello my lovely Bee. How’s it going?”
“Fine.”
“Just fine. It’s a good thing I brought you a drink then.” Blair did not accept the cup, prompting Dakota to pout. “What’s wrong?” he asked, making his voice softer.
She didn’t answer right away, choosing instead to wrap her arms around her middle. Her stomach grumbled unhappily, churning up the mess inside. “Is dinner sitting okay with you? Because I’m not feeling too good…”
Dakota’s face fell. The tipsy feeling slunk away at the sight of her pained expression. “I feel fine. You don’t?” He put his hand on her shoulder after setting down drinks. “Does your stomach hurt?”
She nodded. “A little.”
“Where does it hurt? Do you feel like you're going to be sick?”
“I don’t know.” She shook her head no, hoping that she could convince herself to hold it together. She really didn’t want to be sick and force their date to end. The nausea wasn’t terrible, so she figured she could tough it out until her stomach decided to work properly. “I think I’ll be fine. I just need a drink of water.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. You don’t have to come with me. I’m sure Madix was kicking your ass at pool, so I wouldn’t want to take that away from him.”
“Actually, it’s Riley kicking my ass. And it’s darts, thank you very much.”
“Ugh leave me. I don’t want to be seen with you.” She gave him a small push and began to walk away from the corner that she had put herself.
“You sure you’re okay?” he asked. His hand lingered by her back.
“Yes.”
“And you’ll come get me if that changes?”
“Absolutely. But it won’t.” Obviously, that was a lie that Blair unintentionally told. It fooled the both of them for the time being.
Dakota’s energy had dropped slightly by time he came back to Madix and Riley. His mind was still on Blair, worried about her having a good time. She sometimes had a habit of downplaying her symptoms so that she wouldn’t hurt his feelings. Actually, they both had a tendency to do that. He thought about his own stomach and decided that it really did feel fine. The fullness was dissipating, leaving behind nothing close to nausea.
“Hey, Mads. Can I talk to you?” he asked, coming up to his friend. Riley was a few feet away, taking darts out of the board. He thought it best to have this conversation outside of Riley’s earshot, so he led Madix away.
“What’s up?” Madix asked, leaning in to hear Dakota above the sound of chatter, music, and pool balls clacking together.
“How’s it going? Are you feeling okay?”
“Yes, Kota. Don’t worry.” He put his hand on Dakota’s shoulder. “I told you I would let you know if I start feeling anxious. Both you and Riley are being vigilant, and I appreciate it, but I’m fine so far.”
“Oh…that’s good,” he said slowly, realizing his mistake. “But I meant more like if you feel sick or anything.” At Madix’s confused expression, he elaborated. “Blair says the food upset her stomach.”
“Oh no, is she alright?”
“I think so?” Dakota said, very unsure of his answer. He decided that he would check on her after finishing his talk with Madix. He couldn’t just forget about it, no matter how insistently she urged him to have fun. “But you guys are fine?”
“I feel great,” Madix said before glancing over in his boyfriend’s direction. “Riley hasn’t said anything, so I assume he’s alright.” Madix seemed to think this over and thought better of it. Maybe they all had habits of hiding how they felt for the benefit of someone else. “On second thought, I’ll ask him.”
“I didn’t want to make him nervous.”
“That’s very thoughtful of you.” Madix patted his arm. “But now I have to know. Just to make sure.”
When it was confirmed that Riley felt fine as well, Dakota was the one getting nervous. He had to find her again.
He made his way to the upper level of the club but stopped midway on the stairs when he almost crashed into someone. And what a coincidence, it was his gorgeous fiancé looking not so gorgeous with her drooping eyelids and sweat-beaded skin. By the looks of it, she took a turn for the worse.
“Bee, hi, I was just coming to see you.” He grabbed the sides of her arms to keep the two of them from stumbling down the stairs.
“Me too,” she said so softly that Dakota almost didn’t hear. He didn’t fully realize that he was supporting most of her weight, and if he were to let go, she might’ve let gravity take her down. She swallowed hard. “I don’t think I’m okay.”
Then she gagged.
Dakota didn’t have a second to react before she was vomiting up the contents of her belly. They were still on the stairs, and she was looking down at him—the perfect position to hit him with a gush of sick in the middle of his chest.
“Ah God…okay,” Dakota stammered, feeling an unpleasant wetness against his skin. He switched to breathing through his mouth when the smell hit him strong. “Wow that’s—okay, it’s okay”
Blair’s hand shook as she brought it up to cover her mouth. Fresh sick dripped between her fingers. She bent at her waist before removing her hands so that she wouldn’t hit him again. She retched again, this time splattering their shoes with the mess. They were still on an incline which of course meant that Dakota’s shoes took the brunt of it.
He held onto her shoulders, feeling the muscles in her back tense up. “I got you, honey.”
Blair wiped her mouth on the back of her arm as she stood up straight. She moaned, keeping one hand on her roiling stomach. “Oh my God. I can't believe I just threw up on you. I'm so sorry.”
“It’s…it’s fine, babe. Just follow me.” Dakota took her hand and helped her down the stairs. He could hear her gagging behind him, so he walked more briskly towards the bathrooms.
But the bathrooms were barricaded by a throng of people waiting their turn. The two of them probably could have squeezed past the line, saying that it was an emergency, but Blair could not wait.
He turned back to her apologetically just in time to see her bend oven and throw up again. A torrent of orange-ish puke splattered in front of her on the ground.
“Shit,” Dakota mumbled. They were leaving a trail wherever they went. He decided to just hold her hair way from her face until she finished.
Blair sucked in a ragged breath when she caught a break. From the corner of her eye, she saw that she had made quite a scene. “Everyone's staring at me,” she said, her voice shaking on every syllable.
Dakota didn’t want to lie to her, so he said nothing. Instead, he led her outside to find a semblance of privacy.
Once outside, Blair broke down. She put her head in her hands and cried. “I can’t believe that just happened. I—I don’t…I just.” She couldn’t formulate her exact feelings, but they were a miserable mix of embarrassment, shame, and nausea.
“Hey, hey,” Dakota cooed, putting his hands on her shoulders again. “You don't need to be embarrassed. It's just me. There’s no one around now.”
“Good,” she moaned. “Kill me right now. Do it quick.”
He chuckled half-heartedly at her request. “I don’t want to do that.”
The two of them stood outside for a while. Dakota was getting cold, but he gave Blair all the time she needed to feel semi-okay again. For the time being, she wasn’t moaning, gaging, or puking so Dakota decided now was a good time to leave. She needed a nice warm bed—or perhaps a toilet to be sick in first.
He gently tucked her hair behind her ear. “Let me tell the guys we’re leaving. I’m taking you home.” He also thought he should probably tell someone in the club that there were a few puddles of vomit scattered about. He would make sure to leave a nice tip.
“Don’t tell them I threw up.”
After a beat of silence, Dakota looked down at his chest. “I think they’re going to know.”
Blair groaned and hugged her belly. “God, look at you. You’re covered in it. I’m so fucking sorry.”
"It's okay. We can clean it up. Don't worry about it.”
She didn’t seem to let go any of her worries, but Dakota knew that it wasn’t in her nature to let something like this go without berating herself for losing control. He wished he could make her see that she wasn’t less of a person for having these moments. It was something he’d been trying to instill in her since the first time that she got sick on front of him. It was a slow journey because Blair was the most stubborn person he knew.
She puked before getting into the cab. She puked after getting out of the cab. Amazingly she did not puke in the cab. Then she puked as soon as they got home.
It was late. Very late, and Blair’s belly was not giving her a chance to rest. She hugged the toilet even hours after throwing up everything that she had to give.
“Do you want to move to the bed?” Dakota asked eventually. He’d been freshly showered for a while now. Blair had been so kind enough to keep him company while he showered. She hadn’t really given him a choice, however, because she claimed the bathroom as her new home.
With her head resting on the toilet seat, she groaned loudly. “No. My stomach's cramping really bad.” She squeezed her eyes shut as a jolt of pain went through her belly. The cramp made her gag, but she was unable to bring anything up. “I hate this so much.”
Dakota looked at her with concern. This was a bad one. Every new cramp made her grind her teeth together or bunch up the fabric of her shirt in her fist. “How bad does it hurt? Should I be taking you to the hospital?”
She shook her head miserably. The hospital sounded like a horrible place to suffer like this. They always spent five hours in the waiting room, then were seen for five minutes just to get an IV. “I don’t need a doctor. I need an undertaker.”
Dakota sighed at her endlessly stubborn ways. “You haven't been sick like this in a long time, Bee. I think it’s a good idea.”
Blair lifted her head off the toilet seat. “I really don’t want to.”
“But you haven't kept anything down in hours.” Dakota exhaled deeply. He was tired and didn’t have the energy to debate this. All he wanted was for her to feel better. “Blair, my nerves are shot and you’re freaking me out. I don’t like seeing you in this much pain. Please, let me take you to the hospital.”
Blair heard the exhaustion in his voice and knew exactly how he felt. They were both ready for this ordeal to be over. The fight went out of her when she saw the desperation in his eyes. “Fine, but you have to carry me.”

AO3 has been kicking me out for around 10mins bcs of pages loading too slow on wifi and data both so it wont let me post a comment on ch 7 (i think) SO HERE IT IS i will not go to sleep till i send it to you PUBLICALLY ! (gonna also paste it into ao3 tmrw but i need to send it now and then pass out for at least 3 more hrs xD):
REMYYYYYY AAAA i literally firgot everything i was gonna say when i figured out its gambjt j'fucking adoreeeee 🥰🥰🥰
one bad mutant for eric one food mutant fir charles. theyre just playing chess at this point. assholes. also with the like killing and mystiques comment abt another talk between erik and charles i had a thiught there... hmmmm.... i wish i rmbrd what kt was. OH YEAH. it hink i said this a while ago somewhere that its like. Its a draw, and impasse, and until either one of them crossed any of the arbitrary lines they drew in the sand nothing will change
Also scott is a dumbass and katja is so extremely like. Idealistic. I love that for her bcs she still has enthusiasm amd has that righteous anger that comes off as either annoying or hopeful to someone whos been fighting a war for so long such as scott. And i love that part of the convo where scott is like we cant save the whole world. It made me think of schindlers list and that quite - the man who saves a life has saved a world entire. Which is ironic given that its eriks goons doing this, which AGAIN brings me to erkis hypocrisy this time and like. Him and charles are just two sides of a same coin arent they?
The encounter with that girl yesterday had left him more confused than he had experienced in years. - side eyeing you for this 👀🤨😤😹❤️
With this weapon, we can turn all of New York into mutants in a few days and all of humanity in six months - oh i rmbrd now! (I cooy some quites to clipboard not to forget to comment on them xd) - what i wanted to say here is that i have all the love and none of the respect for cartoonish villain plans ised to attract the attention of your ex boyfriend xD "imma turn the whole new york into SHARKS and i'll be the SHARK MASTER" like dude chill ffs just text him its okay its cool xD.
❤️
It sent, actually! But yeah, everything's lagging there right now including my answers to you and I'm getting unnerved bc AO3 GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. So I will answer here :D And then I will send you to bed BECAUSE REASONS.
And hey, there's a definite advantage to posting here: You can include visuals :D.
I needed my red eyed Cajun baby in there :D. I mean obviously, since the team is what it's like in the 90s cartoon plus one additional weather-witch, but also because Remy is too fucking cute (and Taylor Kitsch was too fucking hot playing him).
Tumblr media
Yeep, exactly. Charles and Erik love each other far too much still for their own good. This whole thing would long have been over with everyone dead if they didn't hold their respective people back. With how it's going, there's just more and more collateral damage on the way, and those two still will just fuck it out and cry on each other's shoulder in the end, and they deserve all the shade thrown at them for it.
Uuugh now I get emotional about Schindler's list again, never managed to rewatch that, it broke me so much the first time already. I think it's really the hardest part about this job? Getting to terms that you can't be everywhere at once and that making as much of a difference as you can is what counts and not saving everyone because that simply won't work. And my girl is still at the beginning of learning that sigh. It's really chilling seeing Erik walk around killing off random people in this franchise just because they're normal people bc like. This is what happens when someone's been on the receiving end of this and then gets the power to turn the tables on the fascist assholes. The moral dilemma of the whole thing ugh.
Oh god, I'm so sorry for this storyline already LOL. Poor Ororo really needs better taste in men …
thanks, now I can never take that plan seriously again LOOOL. I mean, when Erik finally gets up to get this plan up and started, Charles will indeed be there in person, so I guess in the end the plan worked? :D

There have been several Custom Remixes of Pepper Steak, but I really wanted one that included visuals, so I put this together in Heaven Studio.
I ran into several issues when making this so there are parts that I'm still unhappy with. At some point in the future I might come back and remake this. Maybe. Or I might make a custom remix for a different song like Fake Orchestra or something. We'll see.
Link to a Zip file containing the remix, the modified version of Heaven Studio, and the art files is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/nqry3b...
!Important issues!
a) The game lags really bad after the Working Dough section if you miss any of the inputs (I considered an alternate version with a much easier Working Dough section, but could never get one that sounds good, sorry)
b) The Marcher graphics aren't replaced. Despite replacing the files, the game reloads the originals. I believe this has to do with Marcher using streamed assets, but I've never worked with streamed assets in Unity so I can't say for sure or figure out how to fix it (The video was accomplished by reanimating the Marcher section with my new graphics, which also allowed me to throw in the Burnt at the end)
c) The Sarge's first "Attention" sound clip sometimes doesn't play.
Off belongs to Mortis Ghost
Pepper Steak originally composed by Alias Conrad Coldwood
Rhythm Heaven created by Tsunku

This could be one of the instances where I say not everything they say is true. My take on the situation? I don't remember Jin taking any grapes back, please correct me if I am wrong. This simply makes me think he left both the bags with Jungkook so the other could be passed onto Taehyung. It is not a wild thought, if earlier he had a mind to give Taehyung when Jungkook was not available, with one of the assumption they'll share/pass on to each other, so him doing it now makes sense and natural.
Why I think they lying?
Before a day of this live Taehyung knew Jin gave him grapes coz he tagged Jin in his grape story. If the company had sent him those grapes, they definitely would have mentioned Jin's name hence the tagging. Then the whole conversation becomes moot because Taehyung is aware of this knowledge but Jin should also since he would have specifically asked them to pass the grapes to Tae .
It's a little tricky why he got surprised when he got to know about grapes. If Jin wanted to give grapes to company to pass on to absent members he could have also done in Jungkook's case (when he didn't have his no.) and would have remembered it and not said "I thought I didn't give you".
So that means either the company gave Taehyung those grapes and said Jin sent him this. Maybe company (one of the person as company is not a person) gave Tae their own share as Jin definitely didn't ask them to. The company is definitely sincere to pass the grapes to one of the members when they thought Tae didn't get his share, especially something which a member got from his private scene and is not an obligatory thing for company to pass on to every member. Makes me wonder how many Jin got those and who was kind enough to give Tae his share without taking credit.
Was it you Manager-nim? Oh but weren't you also with Tae? NVM.
Or Since fans definitely would have wondered how Tae got the grapes if Jin gave them to Jungkook linking the connection they met as more of a convincing proof, they still might do but can easily be shut down by pointing company's involvement as a grape passer. You might ask why need to hide. Well supposedly they are hiding many things now. I still don't believe they didn't meet on Jk's birthday. It's simple, if you in a relationship and you can't meet your partner who lives 5 mins drive apart, all because of stupid jet lag. Even if he would have been tired and slept the day off, still could spent together particularly when JK didn't have any plans to go out. So it's not like any tampering with plans. This is all on an assumption they are together of course.
I just think sometimes Taekookers also doesn't see the big picture. It feels to me Taekook are being themselves but don't want to link with each other behind the scenes what with coming Busan Expo and military enlistment. They insuniated Jk was with other 97 liners after Tae left for NY which is untrue simply because of the itenary of people involved in the dinner. It would been a month earlier. I'll send you the link in next ask. This whole stupid Taennie scandal which everyone is quiet about. So yes I believe they have been spending time together but have been told to be tight lipped about this. A lot of things are at stake, what with company not affording to lose sponsors for expo if Taekook closeness is perceived as typically gay in SK. I will not elaborate on this now but a person with enough business acumen will understand this.
To conclude I still think Jungkook gave Tae the leftover bag. It could be true or not. At the end it doesn't diminish the bond they two have and also the primed way members think about them.
Before I get into this, I just want to say sorry lol, I totally didn’t realize that link was meant to go with this ask.  They got separated in my inbox, so I responded to that as its own post and it should be up already.
The long and short of it is that I personally figure the 97 liners’ signatures from that restaurant visit were shared when they were less to conceal the timeline than simply because the restaurant didn’t want to post it right away and they got to it when they got to it.  Could it be more complex than that?  Sure, it could, but since I don’t see any other evidence to suggest otherwise, at least for now I feel like that’s the most likely case.
Similarly, I’m not sure how likely I find it that the grape situation was this complicated.  Though I suppose really, the gist of your theory is that Jin simply left the second bag of grapes with Jungkook for Tae, and the confusion later came from everyone not being on the same page about the story of where the grapes came from?  I’m sorry if I’m misrepresenting your argument here.
Despite not being sure I think that’s necessarily the more likely scenario, I do agree that if Jungkook and Taehyung are in a relationship, they would need to obscure that fact, and trying to refrain from giving the impression that they spend a lot of time in the same space might very well be one way they could choose to do that, or be one way they’re expected to do that.
Ultimately, like you alluded to, this is a tiny detail in the big picture of a relationship that’s lasted, in one form or another, eleven years, so yeah -- I don’t think their whole bond is going to be made or broken over some grapes lol.

Iron God Chapter 35 [Kolo]
Kolo's eyes opened halfway. At first, she couldn't tell what had woken her. Then a cat's paw prodded her face. She grunted. Weeks of constant training had caught up to her now, and her limbs ached to the point they felt boneless. The last thing she wanted to do was get up before sunrise.
"Really?" she grumbled.
The cat jumped down and stood up on two legs, changing its shape into a familiar human. Channei flipped her blond hair back. "Sorry, Kolo. I know you're tired, but we all need to talk."
Kolo sat up, smoothed her white hair, then looked around the room. The red light from her eyes several others. Azvalath, Lalek, and Rizval sat on the floor in various spots around the room. Jai-Lag lay stretched out by the door, breathing in slow rumbling sighs. Kolo cocked her head. "What's this about?"
Azvalath cleared his throat. "Rizval, mind taking notes? We can share them with Yayaba later. She should know too." Then he looked at Kolo. "We all think there's something really wrong with Master Xigon."
"Yeah, me too." Kolo almost laughed. "What took you so long to figure it out?"
"You know, it would've made sense if he were just tired from...recent events." Lalek averted her gaze.
"No it wouldn't," Rizval corrected. "Do you really think a bit of back talk would do him in like that? He'd be history if that were true."
"Not that." The muscular woman scowled. "I was talking about –"
"See, but that doesn't make sense either," said Azvalath. "He kills people all the time."
"Maybe this time was different somehow," Kolo twisted her necklace around her fingers. "He never did tell us exactly what happened. Neither did Qila. She didn't tell me anything when I asked."
"Master Qila wasn't there. Of course she wouldn't know." Rizval stretched their arms and yawned. "Though I think you could be onto something. Question is, how could this incident be different from the others?"
"We should ask him, maybe," Kolo suggested.
"No way." Channei shook her head. "He and Master Qila shouldn't even know we're talking about this. Got it?"
Kolo swallowed hard and nodded.
"Not like we'd get an answer out of him anyhow." Azvalath looked down. "He's not one to divulge any kind of vulnerable information. But there is someone else we could ask."
Channei seemed to catch the implication at once. "It'd be cruel to pull Dakko and Ido into this. They're still grieving, and I can hardly blame them. No matter how much that monster hurt them, it can't have been easy to witness that."
"Hm." Kolo bit her lip. "Well, we have to know what might be wrong if we're going to stage any kind of intervention."
Lalek looked startled. "Who said we're staging an intervention?"
"What were you planning to do?" Kolo raised an eyebrow. "Just stand back and watch? No way. It's hard enough to watch."
"I agree," said Azvalath. "We should do something. Master Xigon has helped all of us at some point. Isn't it time we return the favor?"
Channei balled her hands into fists. "Yeah, but can't we help without torturing those boys?"
"It's probably worse to let them bottle it all up," Azvalath pointed out. "Let me go and get them."
The man stood up, stretched, then left the room, careful to step over the sabretooth cat's gently swishing tail. He left them in a lull of awkward silence. The only sound was the scratching of a quill on parchment as Rizval scribbled their notes down.
Then Rizval interrupted the stillness. "Also worth noting, I think, is that I've been told to make a hell of a lot more pain medicine vials lately." They scratched harder at the parchment as the ink dried. "Masters say it's for Dakko, but does he really need that much?"
Kolo shrugged. "Seems unlikely."
Several minutes passed before Azvalath returned with Dakko. He looked at Channei. "I asked them both. Ido said he'd shock me if I made him talk about it. Dakko agreed, though."
"Thanks, Dakko." Channei patted the floor next to her. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm cold." He said it immediately, without hesitation or lies.
"Here." Kolo got up and brought him her blanket. "How's this?"
Dakko extended a trembling hand to take the blanket. "Thanks." He sat down between Kolo and Channei, clutching tight to the wool. Even though he was still cold, Kolo couldn't help but note how much better Dakko looked after several weeks with them. He was less emaciated than before, and more mobile thanks to the joint braces Rizval had made him. Even his demeanor seemed to have healed somewhat. It wasn't nearly as easy to startle him or make him cry now.
"Hey kid," Rizval piped up. "How often do you take your pain medicine?"
"Half a vial in the morning and half in the evening," he said. "Why? Did someone else need some?"
"Nah." Rizval squinted at their notes. "Just doing some calculations."
Dakko gave a slow nod. "Hm. All right, then."
Kolo put one hand on the boy's still-quivering arm. "What can you tell us about what happened that night?"
The boy's fingers clenched up and crackled with ice. "I don't know what to say."
"Maybe start with what happened when you ran off from the ceremony," Azvalath pressed. "Why'd you do that?"
Dakko took a deep breath. He looked up and down, then spoke barely louder than a whisper. "I remembered my own second ascension and I couldn't watch anymore. It felt like Haode was attacking me all over again." He brushed cold fingers against his scarred neck. "I couldn't calm down. I figured I would leave so I didn't...bother anyone."
Kolo bit her lip. "I don't think you could've bothered anyone more than I did that night. But go on. What happened next?"
"Haode must have used his future sight to find me. He caught me. And...I was so glad to be caught." Dakko let out a miserable chuckle. "It's funny, really. I was just remembering how badly he hurt me, but when he held me again, I felt so warm. I wanted him to hold me forever." He scratched at his scar, leaving faint red marks on his pale skin. "I would've done anything for him as long as he didn't let me go. It was pathetic."
"Hey kid, I know it's tough to swallow, but you weren't at fault there," Rizval interrupted. "Spiders tie little moths up tight, you know. The silk's sticky even when you can't see it."
Dakko squinted. "Yeah, I guess so."
"So we all saw you run off, then Ido followed you, and then Master Xigon left for seemingly no reason." Lalek twiddled her thumbs. "Whatever your commotion was, it must've alerted him."
"I don't even know how he found us." Dakko's eyes widened again. "It was like he showed up out of thin air. How the hell – ?"
"Were you in a potentially life-threatening situation?" Azvalath asked.
Dakko's head turned. "Huh?"
Kolo shrugged. "Hey Aza, Xigon gets drawn toward situations like that, doesn't he?"
"Yeah, you saw." Azvalath fussed with a loose thread on his shirt. "Back when Channei was injured, it was enough to pull him out of torpor. So if any of their lives were in peril, that's how he would have found them."
Channei groaned. "Don't remind me."
"Anyway." Dakko seemed frustrated with all the interruptions. "I suppose you could say we were in danger. Though I really don't want to think he'd kill either of us, no matter what we did." He looked down. "Maybe that's more stupid wishful thinking. I've always liked imagining good things."
Kolo's heart ached at that comment. "Did you notice anything odd? When Xigon put him down?"
"I...I don't know. I mean, I..." Dakko suddenly seemed unable to form words. He grabbed onto Kolo's sleeve. "I mean, his eyes turned purple, and he –"
"His eyes turned purple?" Azvalath's eyebrows rose.
"Yeah, like they did when he was healing me when I first came," said Dakko. "But I don't think he was healing Haode. That wouldn't make any sense."
Kolo shook her head. Wherever this was headed, it felt like a dead end. An intensely frustrating, depressing dead end. She wasn't entirely sure why she cared, but she found she did, and immensely so.
Before she could say anything else, the door swung open. It hit Jai-Lag, who flinched away with a shrill mew more befitting of a tiny kitten than a full-grown sabretooth cat.
Kolo gulped when she saw the old woman standing in the doorway.
Master Qila squinted. "What's got all of you up so early?"
"We were...um..." Kolo struggled to come up with an excuse.
"Just talking," said Azvalath.
"About what?" she asked, though Kolo suspected Qila already knew.
"Anatomy," Rizval blurted.
"Mm-hm." Qila hummed with the tone of a condescending mother. "Rizval, your nose always flares when you tell a lie." She came in and sat down on the floor with all of them. "What's really going on?"
Kolo scowled. "What's wrong with Master Xigon?"
The whole room went dead silent.
Qila shrugged. "I have no idea. But it's none of your business."
"It's entirely our business." Azvalath practically snarled. "What are you two keeping from us?"
"It shouldn't concern you." Qila leveled him a glare. "I'll have you know, I'm as much in the dark as you are. But I haven't come to scold you all for prying, even though you really should stop."
"What for, then?" Kolo asked. "Seems like that's all you're doing right now."
Qila pulled a folded sheet of parchment out of her pocket. "Your next assignments."
Azvalath rolled his eyes. "Brilliant timing."
She unfolded the parchment and read it out loud. "Lalek, Rizval, Dakko, Ido – where's Ido?" When she looked around the room and didn't see him, Qila sighed. "Someone let him know. You four will be assisting with construction and repairs in the town below. You're to meet the innkeeper of Naughty Nack's for more information."
Rizval cackled. "That oaf?"
Qila cleared her throat. "Channei, you're to monitor the unrest that's growing among the populace. Get a sense of who's saying what about us. Yayaba will relay your findings to us."
"I'll be in disguise, I assume?" Channei played with a lock of her blond hair. "Easy enough."
"Jai-Lag, Azvalath, and Kolo." She looked straight at Kolo. "Yayaba has observed...unusual happenings around the village of Morning. Xigon wants you three to investigate. You've been given clearance to carry weapons and to pursue any suspected descendants of the Iron God." She squinted back at the parchment. "Your contact's name is Talin. According to Master Xigon, he should be unmistakable."
Kolo wasn't sure if she'd heard any of that right. "Pursue any...what?"
Azvalath chuckled bitterly. "Isn't it a bit soon to put Kolo on the hunt, Master Qila?"
Then she understood. And she laughed.
She'd be hunting someone the same way Azvalath had hunted her.
What delightful irony.
"I understand this might be difficult for you, Kolo." Qila finger-combed her gray hair. "If you'd prefer it, I can override this order and put you on a different task."
Kolo looked up and down, then clenched her fingers. Her heart fluttered.
"Any questions?" Qila asked.
With a twisted smile, Kolo turned back toward Qila. "Only when we begin."

Hey to folks that do PNG streams:
How do you set up a reactive PNG on OBS that doesn't require you to have Discord open?
For the record, I only use OBS because my PC tries to die if I use anything else, I'm broke so I can't afford programs you need to pay in order to use, and if I can avoid having Steam open all the time I'd like that. Sorry for the restrictions, I didn't know anything about the proper specs for a PC when I bought this one and was told that these were the best specs it could have for gaming because no one seemed to understand I wanted to use it to stream and game, so it barely runs OBS as it is and any additional programs either make the frames lag to hell or get my PC to jump dangerously close to 90°C. Also it keeps telling me that there's an internal fan problem but every time I take it in, I get told there's no issue.
But yeah, sorry for dumping all that. Anyway, if anyone can help me figure out how to set up a reactive PNG on OBS without needing discord to be open, I could use the help.

🧘🏻‍♀️ manifesting (their first) interaction between y/n and stem!koo 🧘🏻‍♀️ like i can't imagine koo talking to her and not knowing his secret lunchbox deliver is right in front of him !!!
Tumblr media
cold senior!y/n x stem major!koo masterlist :D
stem!koo is in agony and it’s getting in the way of his academics
maybe.,.,
just mAYBE you should’ve warmed up a little bit more before this goddamn practice match
it doesn’t help too that you’re still a lil bit hungover from last night because seokjin and yoongi iNSISTED to get everyone drunk
they put a beanie on the corner of the tv and each of you had to drink whenever someone appears at the edge of it :’’’)
also didn’t help the fact that yoongi tried to be helpful
shoved his fingers into your mouth in an attempt to get you to puke (so you would feel better in the morning) but in doing so, HE’S the one who puked
and now you were disgusted and therefore unable to p-word
everyone’s lagging in their game today, and with you being the team captain, of cOURSE you had to boost team morale
by boosting team morale u meant moving excessively and grinding extra hard and jostling them much more so they’d do the same
and it’s working!!!!
it’s working and now you feel like passing out :D
your jersey’s soaked and your socks are damp and you want to nestle in the cooler by yourself
fortunately, your coach fINALLY called for a ten-minute break
rip you’re sprawled out in the bleachers
extra rip why is the sun being blocked rn ://
yeah well you dO wear sunscreen and reapply it every two hours, but you didn’t think that it’d be this effective
almost like you can’t see the sun at all
like your eyes are closed and there’s no heat beating down on them
it’s almost as if someone’s i-in... front.......... of you
this is not white chicks??????
that is most definitely nOT terry crews??????
“m-miss y/n?”
you’re still a little bit groggy and it’s taking your eyes awhile to re-focus, unintentionally having a scowl on in the process
“who’s asking?”
you’re gonna scream if it’s another one of those scouts jeez they can ask for you after practice and not during your break!!
“o-oh! i’m uh, jeon jungkook?? sorry, yeah, i don’t know why i sounded unsure. i am jungkook, your junior...?”
....
WAIT WAIT WHAT
you try not to move up abruptly, putting yourself up on your elbows that makes jungkook intimidatingly take a few steps back and give you your distance
you clearly did not expect this
“how may i... help.... you?”
kook is literally shaking in his boots and he’s not even wearing boots
you’re just giving him a blank glance and not to be rude but USUALLY (!!!) he’s used to the other person making conversation and taking it from there
he’s blanking out for a second and it’s only when you tilt your head at him that he snaps out of it
“right!!! we have this statistics assignment?? a-and we need to interview an athlete for it and i was hoping if i could uhm, if i could interview you?”
weird
out of all the athletes in uni, why would jungkook ever come to you??
not that you’re complaining but you didn’t exactly expect that your first interaction with him would be out of necessity
there’s this tense silence that stretches and jungkook still awkwardly has his hands balled nervously and your still on your elbows
“oh. okay. i have eight minutes left of break before i go back to my game.”
he jolts up at that before he’s meticulously pulling things from his backpack rather ungracefully, “no worries!! i can just wait for you after your game.... i-i think?”
cute
you’d find him cuter if only he hadn’t been giving your lunches that you’ve worked hard on
>:(
“yeah? and when’s that deadline of yours?”
jungkook stills as if you’ve just exposed him, sheepishly bowing his head
“tonight. 11:59 pm.”
huh
even more weird
you thought jungkook was an early bird when it comes to these things because he’d literally march to the desk just a day after a task was given
you ponder in thought, abruptly standing to go to your coach
jungkook fREAKS out on his knees
“i’m so sO sorry to have bothered-...”
coach jeong only nods once with a firm line on his lips, dismissing you because he’s figured that the captain cOULD ask favors from him every once in a while
kook stops his apologies when you look at him again, towel on your shoulders
you look bored with him
“i can squeeze you in.”
:O
alright that’s gonna sink in eventually
pls function
one
two
“o-oh! thank you so much!! i-i won’t take long, i promise.”
jungkook wastes no time in setting everything up even if he seems disorganized
he has his pen and paper ready plus his phone to record you
apparently, it’s all just bASIC questions and lmao they truly were
do you eat breakfast everyday? how often do you work out? how often do you get injured in a game??
“lastly, how do you pack your lunchboxes?”
“well-...“ your eyes narrow at the question, tilting your head in confusion
there is absolutely nO way that is still a part of his questionnaire
not unless he knows it’s you in the flesh?????
jungkook’s eyes widen at the same time yours do and your jaw clenches because oh my fucking god did he figure you out
o_O
jungkook sheepishly shakes his head, going immediately into a sad smile before he waves it off
“sorry. i uh, i’m just going through it right now,” he mumbles under his breath, writing something on his paper, “... but really, how do you do it?”
“jungkook.”
he giggles at the way you deadpan eVEN when you were ready at the moment to worm your way out of it, thrusting his pen and paper to your hands
“write your full name and sign, please. y’know, ‘i, blank blank, consent to jeon jungkook’ the basic?”
???
did this mf just say blank OUT LOUD??? TWICE????
you only try to discreetly laugh under your breath when you do so, handing it back with ease unlike him
“i also need a picture for documentation, i-if that’s alright?”
oh uhm
you’re still soaked in sweat????
jungkook must’ve seen your panic as he aids in, handing you a mask and gesturing for the towel to cover up how cLEARLY drenched you are
(but with your jersey showing!!!!!)
this is clearly a lot to take in
your first interaction aND a picture together???
jungkook keeps profusely bowing his head to you, gathering his items neatly before bidding you goodbye

2nd part.
Other: Both groups understand they have different ways of showing affection and closeness. Though Charles does hesitantly ask Jackie if Ran ever shows affection, to which Jackie answers that he does he just isn't a very physical person.
After Ran first attacks and injuries Ranbob, and once the groups get the two separate, they sit down and talk. The Gladiators go first, saying they've never seen Ran that aggressive and angry before and ask what Ranbob could've done. To which the Fishermen tell them (to an extent. Somethings they leave out as its best for Ranbob to tell them) and after sharing, ask what Ran's relationship with Ranbob was. Where Watson says Ran said before he had a brother, and they then connect the pieces. So in summary, the Gladiators know about Ranbob being controlled by Dream, what Ranbob as done, how it affected him, and what the Fishermen have done to help him out and the progress Ranbob has made. While the Fishermen know that Ran has said he had a brother (Ranbob said it too), Ran having to survive on his own for years, And Ran having nightmare's but don't know what they are about.
The Gladiators are skeptical of Ranbobs story, but after reading a bit of a dairy Ranbob recorded the experience in when able to, and both picture and multiple eye-witness accounts they eventually believe him.
He ran from the hunters for around 4 years, he also lived alone and learned to survive during his time, while being constantly on the move. Multiple times the brothers have said something concerning, either jokingly or very casually, but both ways the brothers groups have responded with utmost concern and basically interrogating them until they find out the events behind what they said. Where they then either leave it be, or there's more talking, comforting, and maybe even cuddle piles.
It happens once during the trip, when Ranbob just isnt having a good day at all, when he relapses he immediately tells the Fishermen (as he has grown to do), who then go to comfort him and do a sort of therapy. Ran immediately uses the relapse as evidence that he shouldn't be trusted and that he is still the same person he was before. While Watson, ignoring him, goes to see if he can do anything to help, while Grievous and Jackie try to lead Ran away to cause less stress for Ranbob.
It is confusing at first for them, and when their finally able to, they (both groups) ask eachother what different instincts their enderman friend has. And after exchanging it they just kinda leave it be then and accept it. Sometimes Cletus will laugh when he just randomly sees Ran carrying someone around and mocks them, but Ran tends to growl at him when he mocks the person he's carrying, so he doesn't mock em often.
He was only able to eat crackers, nuts and seeds, and dried out vegetables. So when he first goes to the Fishermen's house he's only able to keep down stuff like soup and again crackers. Though he's able to slowly work his way up to eating meat, which then he's able to keep most things down.
The gladiators are overwhelmingly happy about no longer following such a strict schedule and can spend their time doing whatever they want. The fishermen are at first a bit hesitant at adventuring, seeing as they never really adventured outside of their home to much before, but are still very excited to see new places and get new items. Cuddle piles are sometimes shared amongst the groups, but strictly when neither of the brothers are nearby, other habits like telling bed time stories and sharing supplies and food are shared amongst the groups. While a sort of therapy sessions type habit are only in the fishermen group. And making and testing weapons are only in the gladiator group. For nicknames, Ran- Tall man/Tall bastard, Jackie- Jack, Shorty(teasingly/jokingly), Watson- Dad, Grievous- Ugly, John, Gri, Ranbob- Bobby, Benjamin- Benny, Ben, Charles- (Just Charles), Cletus- Wildfire, Little shit (Isaac only calls him that, Benjamin doesn't like it though), Isaac- Saac (pronounced as Isaac without the I, or just Zack).
The fishermen live a calmer, more quite life. Where the most active they've gotten is going to Mizu and getting Ranbob and a few attempted robbing. While the gladiators live a very active and fighting filled life, with only a few breaks where they can do whatever they want too. The fishermen are more accepting of outsiders and willing to give them a chance in their group. While the gladiators, you need to prove you can earn a place and are more tight in their group (Which is partly why it means so much to Ran and shocks him when his haunting welcomes Ranbobs group into their group). The fishermen are more freewilled, not having to follow a schedule. While the gladiators do follow a schedule and typically don't get much freewill.
They originally wanted to live in Mizu. But after the discovery of the Dream Mask Benjamin stated that it was far too dangerous to stay, much less live there. So they instead just went and looted the area then left
As of now I do not plan to add anymore characters. Maybe they'll meet some while traveling but im not positive yet, if they do meet someone later on though it'll probably be either Wilburs decendent, or if I include other Tales I'll include them probably.
It is very hard to convince Ran for a good while that what happened to Ranbob was the truth, but when he does finally accept it he's horrified. He feels incredibly guilty about leaving his brother and doing nothing during this whole time other than making it harder for him to recover. And immediately does what he can to make it up and help him out. And to the relief of the others, the brothers start to grow closer again, although there's still some problems. It took multiple tales of Mizu and Dream from all around the world, some very old records about how manipulative Dream was and how it seemed he had supernatural powers, and even finding Ranbobs journal and deciding to read it for safety reasons (where its recorded Ranbobs deteriorating mental state and all of the events where Dream came in, and even Dream wrote in it sometimes, comparing it to Ranboos Memory Book.)
Personalities (More may be added later): Ran- Secretive, protective, quite, joking when gotten close too, patient, serious mostly. Watson- Kind, very approachable, the father figure, logical, has a very comforting presence. Jackie- Playful, joking, mean at times, teasing, loud, energetic. Grievous- Very kind, energetic at times, quite, prankster, hard to trust someone. Ranbob- Quite, shy, well-meaning, clumsy, hesitant in things, very eager to please someone. Benjamin- Truthworthy, comforting presence, kind, approachable. Cletus- Chaotic, mean at times, prankster, loud, confident, energetic. Isaac- Leader figure, kind, logical, playful. Charles- Quite, shy, anxious, smart, logical. And idk if you want him too but Porkius- Confident, arrogant, hard headed/stubborn, hard to talk with, but extremely willing to make changes and call off events if serious injury to anyone is threatened.
Sorry if some answers are dull, I had trouble coming up with answers and wording some of them. But as a bonus I thought of something that could happen while traveling (while they've been traveling for almost 5 months now). Maybe a thunderstorm is coming in and the group is trying to find shelter and they find it mostly in time, but the brothers start to really get into a verbal fight during the searching and so start to lag behind. And just as it starts to storm more Ran screams and yells "YOUR NOTHING MORE THAN AN MURDER! NOTHING YOU EVER DO WILL MAKE UP FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE!"(or something similar) Which just really breaks Ranbob, and the two stand across from eachother in the rain, before Ranbob chokes out a heartbroken agreement and runs off. Ran almost going to chase after him, but deciding not too, and going to meet up with the group.  Also Ranbob having a nightmare about when he first saw Ran again and is terrified in the nightmare, as no one is there to actually stop Ran this time (this happens before the thunderstorm part). So he does actually begin to kill him, and during the dream he keeps seeing glimpses of he and Ran as kids, being so close and laughing and everything. Then just before he wakes up he sees a younger, tween Ran directly next to the Ran killing him, and the Vision Ran's face is frozen in a scream of terror and heartbroken look in his eyes, and his eyes are filled to the brim of tears (which is the exact moment a Ranbob controlled by Dream turns the blade on Ran suddenly). Which just completely breaks Ranbobs heart, and when he wakes up, with tears frozen on his face, he can't look at Ran for days without seeing the terrified face of his younger brother.
1: So they’re pretty chill about it. Alright.
2: Fairly skeptical, but still willing to help out, and eventually coming to agree. Interesting. Ranbob has a diary? From before? That must be quite the interesting read. How much did young Ranbob understand was going on? How did he feel about it? Just how much does his diary show of his mental decline? Does he still have it? Were the Gladiators supposed to be reading it, or is it more of a ‘I found this, let’s see what’s inside’ thing? And I know the eye-witness accounts are probably the fishermen, but what are the pictures? Of Ranbob before Dream, back in Mizu? Of Ranbob when the fishermen found him?
3: Casually drops trauma on them, huh? What kind of things have been said? How much of it do these two traumatized gremlins think is the norm? Does Ran have any particular enemies with the hunters? Was it hard for him to settle in one place again?
4: What do these relapse consist of, exactly? Ranbob becoming aggressive? Trying to run? Can’t imagine Ran’s too happy Watson ignored him about it. What was the aftermath of this event? Does Ran know what a relapse means, or does he just overhear and assume?
5: So Ran totes people around, and Cletus occasionally makes fun of them. How long before someone points out that Ranbob, as you put it, follows them around like a lost puppy, in retaliation?
6: The more I hear about Ranbob, the more I kind of want to wrap him in a warm blanket, give him cocoa, and go threaten Dream with bodily harm. That kind of food isn’t exactly great nourishment. If that’s the kind of thing he was eating, and only once every three days, I’m not shocked the Fishermen managed to force him into a room. Or that his house kept falling on him. Poor guy must be a malnourished noodle-stick. Honestly, he sounds light enough Cletus could probably carry him around. Or a breeze could. Hopefully he gets a little more weight on him, he needs it.
7: Sounds like the first few days of the trip are probably pretty chaotic, with everyone adjusting. But they sound like they’re having fun, so that’s good. What kind of things are the two brothers doing to be gone long enough for their groups to be able to cuddle pile for a bit? Gathering supplies? Do they just know, and do their own thing for a bit so their hauntings can chill together? And Bobby, huh? Sounds an awful lot like what Ran used to call Ranbob. Who exactly revived the nickname, and what was both Ranbob’s reaction to it being brought back, and Ran’s reactions to hearing it again?
8: The clash between lifestyles seems to be a pretty big one. The gladiators are a bit more willing to jump into things, and the fishermen are generally more open. Seems like they’ll contrast nicely once things settle down. So it’s kind of a big deal for the gladiators to just welcome the fishermen? You said they have to prove themselves. Do the fishermen ever end up doing something like that, or are they just an exception? Or is it that what they’ve already done proved themselves?
9: They just loot the place, huh? Do they keep what they find or sell it? What’s Ranbob’s feelings about that?
10: A Wilbur descendant? Interesting.
11: Oof. Well, at least they’re figuring it out. So there’s records about Dream and such? Do they just happen to find them, or are they led there? Who wrote those records? Does Ranbob notice when they find them, find some himself, or is that part of the trip he doesn’t know about? And Dream wrote in Ranbob’s journal too? Yikes. That must have been terrifying for Ranbob to experience. He compared it to Ranboo’s memory book, huh? Did that mean Ranbob figured out that something similar was happening to his ancestor? If so, how did he feel about it? And how does Ran feel about Dream’s part in all this? What does he do once he finally accepts it? Hug Ranbob? Apologize? Try to murder Dream?
12: Sounds like quite interesting group there. Charles and Ranbob both being shy sounds adorable honestly. Porkius sounds like he knows what he’s doing, and does it well.
13: They don’t seem particularly dull to me. But thank you for the heart-crushing scene, I’ll cherish it forever. Do the fishermen chase after Ranbob? How do the gladiators feel about that whole thing? Does Ran feel a bit guilty about it?

《 Boy Group Masterlist // ONEUS Masterlist // Series Masterlist  》
Tumblr media
You wake up early in the morning to the sun in your eyes. This room isn't familiar. It isn't your bedroom at home. And it isn't the bedroom at your father's apartment.
It takes you a moment to remember that this is Kim Geonhak's dorm with his group members, and that, after getting in an argument with your father, Geonhak allowed you to sleep on their couch.
You sit up and rub your eyes. You're still wearing the white T-shirt that Geonhak lent you. It's several sizes too big for you, and is very comfortable.
You hear the door open, and suddenly someone emerges from the bedroom door next to the couch. Kim Youngjo, the brown haired man you had met last night, comes out from the bedroom. He's wearing sweatpants and a white T-shirt with a design on the front.
"Oh, good morning," he says. He smiles his warm smile as he moves across the room toward the kitchen. "Did you sleep well?"
"Yes, I did, thank you," you say.
"Would you like breakfast?" he asks. "I don't make the best eggs out of the group--that's Geonhak--but I'm a close second."
You shake your head. "No thank you. I should probably head home, I don't want to be a bother and overstay my welcome."
"Oh, don't worry," Youngjo says. "We're all happy to have you here. Any friend of Geonhak is a friend of ours. Besides, he really likes you. You must have been really good friends when you were kids."
"He was there for me when no one else was," you say. "From when my father would scream at me and my mother for getting in his way. When my parents would fight and I couldn't stand it. When my parents finally got divorced after years of fighting. He was there for me, as a shoulder to cry on, a second home to stay at. He was my best friend. He was my home," you explain.
"That's sweet of him. I would tell you that he's a warm, sweet and kind person beneath his intimidating appearance, but it seems you already know that," Youngjo says. "And I don't know you well, but if you need any help, I am always open to talk to."
"Thank you. Like I said, though, I should get going. My father might be worried about me," you say. You've already gathered your clothes and put on your coat. "Thank you for letting me stay."
"Thank you for blessing us with your presence," he jokes. He walks over to the front door and holds the door open for you as you leave. "Stay safe on your way home."
"Thank you, Youngjo."
You exit and wave goodbye as Youngjo closes the door behind you. Then you sigh and walk down and out, bracing yourself for whatever you might encounter when you get back to your father's apartment.
Tumblr media
The door creaks open and you push into the living room. Besides your light, careful footsteps, there isn't a single sound. Which isn't too much of a surprise. It's the weekend, so Sunho doesn't have school and neither of his parents, your father nor Sooyeon, have work today.
You head to your bedroom, close the door behind you, and plug in your phone to charge. There, you see several texts and calls from your father that you'd ignored from last night, begging you to return.
Last night, you had not felt safe at all. You'd wanted to stay at a hotel, but none were open. Perhaps you should stay at a hotel for the rest of your stay here in Korea. Maybe you would be--or at least feel--safer at a hotel.
As you start packing your stuff, suitcase on your bed with clothes folded inside, you don't hear the footsteps in the hallway. What you do hear is the door opening behind you. You turn around again and see your father, dressed in his work clothes, standing in the doorway.
"Y/N, where have you been all night? Your Eomma and I were up until midnight waiting for you last night," he says. His eyes drift over behind you, and settle on your suitcase. "Where are you going?
"I was thinking I might get a room at a hotel and stay there until I go home," you say, turning back to the suitcase, intentionally not meeting his eyes.
"What? Why?" he asks. You don't respond, not trusting your own voice. You're a little afraid that if you try to speak, your voice will break and you'll collapse from the inside out.
"Because of our argument last night?" your father asks, and you're already feeling bad for even thinking about staying elsewhere. "Y/N, are you kidding? It was an argument, leaving last night wasn't necessary--wanting to stay at a hotel isn't necessary!" He pauses. "Look. Y/N. I know that things have been difficult between us for the past few years. But I haven't seen you properly for so long, akd now you want to leave in the middle of your visit? Y/N, be reasonable. Please, I won't yell anymore. I just wanted you to try with your Eomma . . ."
There's a long silence, and you're left to respond to him. You feel so bad for leaving last night. It was unreasonable. It is unreasonable for you to want to leave . . .
You turn around, head hanging. You still can't look him in the eyes, but now it's much more because of shame.
"I'm . . . I'm sorry. You're right," you mumble, barely recognizing your own voice. You feel so small, sounds so small.
"It's alright," you hear your father say. "I have to finish getting ready for work, but how about you finish packing and relax. I'll take you, Eomma and Sunho out to a nice dinner tonight. How does that sound?"
You nod, but you really don't know what you think. Your brain is lagging behind a bit, you almost feel like you aren't in control of your body and mind. You feel lost.
"Perfect. And, do you think you could take Sunho to school today? He was asking about you all night after you left, I think he would want you to take him," your father says. Deep down, you know that this is your father manipulating you to stay through your little, five year old half brother. But on the other hand, you do care about Sunho.
"Sure," you say.
"Great."
Your father leaves the bedroom, and once you hear the door close, you blink and look up. You're back in control, but now you're just confused.
"I guess I'm staying," you mumble to yourself.
You remove everything from the suitcase and put them back where they were before. Really, you're confused about the past few minutes. You walked into this apartment this morning, expecting to leave with your things and get a room at a hotel where you'd feel so much physically and mentally safer. Instead, you have spoken to your father and somehow agreed to stay here.
After you finish folding your clothes again, you sit on your bed and lean with your back against the headboard and grab your phone. You can see several texts from 'Geonhak 🐥'. You click to see what he wrote.
Geonhak 🐥: Hey, where are you?
Geonhak 🐥: Are you okay? Are you safe?
Geonhak 🐥: Youngjo said you went home. I hope you're okay and safe. Please let me know.
Geonhak 🐥: Call me if you can? Let me know if you're ok.
You realize that you’re smiling stupidly at your phone. You're not only happy to have someone to listen to you, but you're also just happy to have a friend back.
You think back to when you two were kids. You would read together. You would play video games together, play on the playset together, despite being too old for it. You would spend hours talking, playing, and just hanging out.
You click the call button, and he picks up the phone almost right away. You wonder if he was waiting by the phone for your call.
"Y/N? Hey, are you okay?" he asks, his voice slightly muffled by the phone, but your heart flutters a bit at the sound of his voice still. "You weren't here when I woke up. I was hoping to maybe make you breakfast or something?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," you say, purposefully ignoring the fact that he wanted to make you breakfast. It's sweet of him. Really sweet.
"Do you need any help getting a hotel? Or do you have that figured out?"
You pause. "I'm staying at my father's apartment."
"But what about yesterday? Didn't something happen? Isn't that why you needed a place to stay?"
"Yeah . . . I talked to my dad and . . . well, he apologized," you say. "He said he wouldn't be like that again."
"But . . ." Geonhak sighs. "Alright. If anything happens again . . . if you need a place to stay, the dorm is always available."
"Thanks, Geonhak."
There's a long pause. You can feel him wanting to speak on the other end of the phone. And you also want to tell him that you can't find the words for.
That while you've agreed to stay here at your father's apartment, you actually would so much rather stay at ONEUS's dorm. You hate it here, and you have no idea why you agreed to stay when you had come back planning to leave and stay at a hotel instead.
"Y/N, I'm worried about you," Geonhak says.
Now would be the perfect time to tell him exactly what you're thinking.
"You don't have to worry," you say. "I'm an adult. I can get a hotel if I need to. And I can call you if I ever need help."
Geonhak sighs. "Alright."
You nod, and are about to wish him goodbye when he speaks again.
"Hey . . . would you like to hang out today? Or tomorrow? Maybe go to the library or something?"
You smile, and almost giggle into your phone. Your cheeks are warm. "Yeah. Sure. I'm busy today, my father wants me to take Sunho to school and then I have some reading to do. But tomorrow works."
"Alright. Who's Sunho?"
"Oh. My dad's kid. My half brother. He's six."
"Oh, cute!" Geonhak exclaims. "Would you like me to come with you to take him to school? I'm good with kids, I swear."
"Aren't you busy?"
"No. My schedule today is flexible."
You smile. "Alright. I can text you my father's address and we'll take Sunho to school. See you soon."
Tumblr media
Sunho is clinging on tightly to your hand as you leave the apartment building together. When he saw you after he finished brushing his teeth, he almost burst into tears. You apologized to him for not reading to him last night, until he calmed down and finished getting ready for school.
As you exit the building, you see Geonhak standing further down the sidewalk. His clothes are plain--jeans, a black T-shirt and white overshirt and glasses--so he doesn't stand out too much, but you recognize him right away.
He sees you at the same time and smiles, walking over to you and Sunho. You blink, surprised by how handsome he looks now that it's the daytime. Not that he wasn't handsome last night when you stayed over.
Geonhak bends down in front of Sunho, so that their faces are at around the same height.
"Hi," Geonhak says in such a sweet and gentle voice that catches you by surprise. He holds up his hand for Sunho to hi-five. Sunho does, indeed, hi-five him, and you watch Geonhak's smile widen. "I'm Kim Geonhak," he says softly. "You must be Sunho."
Sunho looks up at you, and you nod. He nods back at Geonhak.
"I'm friends with your sibling Y/N," Geonhak says. "How old are you, Sunho?"
Sunho raises his hands.
"Six? Woah! You're so tall for a six year old. Are you the tallest in your class?" Geonhak asks. Sunho nods. "Cool. I'm going to be coming with Y/N to take you to school. Is that alright with you?"
Sunho nods.
"Great." Geonhak looks up at you with the most adorable smile you've ever seen on his face as he stands up straight.
"I see that you wanted to say hello to Sunho before saying hello to me," you joke. You gently tug at Sunho's hand and he follows you and Geonhak down the sidewalk, toward the bus stop you use to get to Sunho's school.
"I wanted to be friendly with him first," Geonhak explains. "Didn't want him to think I was just some stranger."
You nod.
"Are you alright? Last night was a lot, I think, for you," Geonhak says.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Can we talk about it after?" you ask. You glance at Sunho, trying to signal to Geonhak, not in front of Sunho. He seems to get the message, and nods.
"Right. Sorry." He looks at Sunho and smiles. "Sunho, is it okay if I hold your hand while we walk?"
Sunho nods his head while smiles widely and holds his hand out to Geonhak, who takes it and smiles at you.
"So, Sunho," Geonhak says. His voice is soft and gentle, shocking now that you're used to his deep voice. "What do you like to do for fun?"
Sunho thinks for a second. "I like reading. Y/N reads an English book to me at night!"
"Oh? Do they?" Geonhak smiles over at you, and you swear your heart starts to beat a bit faster. His smile is really . . . lovely. "What books?"
"Y/N reads me 'The Kiss . . .'" Sunho frowns, scrunching up his face while trying to remember. "'The Kissing Hand'! It's in English."
"Oh? I've never read it. Is it good? Do you like it?" Geonhak asks. Sunho nods. Watching the way Geonhak smiles at Sunho is adorable. He's so good with kids, and you can tell he's having a lot of fun.
"Yeah! It's my favorite English book!"
"Oh, I should read it sometime then."
You laugh a bit and Geonhak looks at you curiously. "Geonhak, it's a kids book."
"I'd love to read a kids book," Geonhak says. "Sunho, would you want me to read you a book sometime?"
Sunho nods.
You, Sunho and Geonhak board the semi-crowded bus. You stand, one hand holding Sunho's while the other grips the pole for stability as the bus starts to move. Geonhak stands behind you, his hand holding the pole above yours.
"Did you know Y/N disappeared last night?" Sunho asks. "I got really scared. It was night time and I was scared they were gonna get lost. But they came back this morning."
"Right," Geonhak says, looking at you. "You don't have to worry. Y/N was with me! I made sure that they were safe, and protected them."
Sunho's face lights up brightly. "Really? Thank you for protecting Y/N, Mr. Kim! I was scared Y/N wasn't going to be able to take me to school today."
"Do you like school, Sunho?" Geonhak asks. Sunho nods quickly with the biggest smile on his face. "Do you have friends at school?"
"Yeah!" Sunho says, grinning. "I have my best friend Areum. Areum likes reading too! And also my other friends."
You smile down at Sunho, then over at Geonhak. Geonhak's smiling down at Sunho with the most precious smile you've ever seen. He's got little tiny dimples, you notice. And his eyes are like little crescents because he's smiling so hard.
You shake your head and look back at Sunho.
The bus comes to a halt at the bus stop outside of Sunho's school. You and Geonhak dismount with him, and walk over to the sidewalk. You kneel in front of him and fix his shirt.
"You're gonna have a good day, right?" you ask. He nods, and you hold up your hand for a high five. "Good. Have a good day at school, okay Sunho?" you say.
"Okay!" He nods and high fives you.
"Give Geonhak one too," you say. He walks over to Geonhak, who raises both of his hands and gives him two high fives. Sunho lets out a giggle, and you can tell from the way he's grinning that he likes Geonhak.
You and Geonhak wave Sunho off as he walks the rest of the way to school, joining his friends. You both watch as he walks with them toward the school building, laughing and talking.
"He really likes you," you say, eyes still on Sunho. You can see Geonhak look at you out of the corner of your eye. "I can tell. You made him really happy."
"That's nice to hear." There's a pause. "Do you want to go to get drinks with me?" he asks "Coffee or tea or smoothies?"
You nod. "Smoothies sound nice."
"I know a place we can walk to from here," he says. He reaches for your hand, but stops himself and smiles.
"This way," he says, nodding his head down the road. You follow him as he starts walking, considering what flavor of smoothie you want to get.
"Is Sunho your half brother, then?" he asks, after a minute of silence. You nod.
"Yeah. We have the same father. But his mother is Sooyeon," you explain. "I actually never met Sunho before I visited. He's a sweet kid. I hope that my father treats them better than he treated me and my mom."
Geonhak nods. "About this morning . . . are you okay?"
You nod. "Yeah."
"I thought you were planning to stay at a hotel tonight? But you said you aren't? What happened with that?" he asks. "I don't want to be invasive, so if you don't want to tell me, that's alright."
"No, it's okay. When I went to my father's apartment to pack my stuff, my father confronted me. He apologized, I think. And asked me to give him another chance. He promised not to do anything threatening or aggressive anymore."
Geonhak nods. "He said that a lot when we were kids, too. 'I won't do it again.' 'I'll do better next time.' Forgiving is alright, but if you keep doing it every time, he'll only do it more."
"I know," you murmur. "But I guess I want to believe that now that he has this new family, he's changed."
Geonhak sighs. "That makes sense. Just remember, you can always call me for help, Y/N."
You smile. "Thank you, Geonhak. I . . . really appreciate you letting me stay over last night. Your members were very nice to meet."
"You think so?" Geonhak asks, laughing a bit. "They liked you. I think Seoho would have spent time intentionally telling you every embarrassing thing I've ever done if he could."
"Oh?" You raise an eyebrow at him, grinning evilly. "Well, then I guess Seoho and I have some catching up to do."
He sighs and rolls his eyes. "Whatever. It's not like you haven't seen my embarrassing self when I was in school with you."
You grin. "You were pretty embarrassing back then."
"So were you! There's the smoothie stand."
You both line up for the smoothies, and he helps you decide on which flavor to get and helps you order. You grin at him as he hands you your smoothie.
"You know," you start, "besides last night, you and I haven't really hung out yet. Which is a shame, since we haven't hung out in years."
"True. I'd love to walk Sunho to school with you more, if you'd allow me," he chuckles, sipping from his own drink.
"You're really good with kids," you note. "Or, at least, with Sunho."
"Right. I'm studying early childhood education, so it's only natural that I've learned a bit about how to work with kids."
"That's cute," you blurt out. Geonhak gives you a shy, smiley look, similar to the adoring look he gave Sunho.
"Cute?"
You roll your eyes and nudge him. "Yeah, sure. Cute. Don't let it get to your head, though. Sunho is still cuter than you."
Geonhak gasps, feigning shock, and places his hand in surprise in mock offense. "Really? I'm offended." He chuckles a bit.
You can feel your face heating up from the way he looks at you. You clear your throat and look away. "Uh, yeah. I'd love it if you could join me and Sunho in the mornings, whenever you can. But that's not what I meant."
"Oh?" He tilts his head curiously.
"What I meant was actually hanging out. As friends. Maybe we could go to the library or park or something," you say. "Maybe see a movie."
He grins. "Sure. Have you been sightseeing yet?"
You shake your head. Your father hasn't really taken you anywhere since you arrived. If anything, you've spent most of your time here as Sunho's babysitter and a shopper for Sooyeon.
"No? Maybe I could . . . take you sightseeing?" he offers. You nod.
"I'd like that."

Part 1
Part 2: 👇
Pairing : Neil Perry x reader
Warnings : kinda fluffy, but a lot more angst than intended, also problematic family background story towards the end, don't read if you're easily triggered by that, also swearing like once
Word count : around 1K
"Y/N!" You turned around, a mocking grin on your face. "What is it Pittsie?" Panting, he stopped in front of you, looking down with puppy eyes. You knew that look too well. "You don't have to make that pleading eyes you dork", you sighed. "Let me guess - Trig? " "French", he muttered, shoving his hands into his pockets. Rolling your eyes, you couldn't help but smile. Pitts honestly was the most unorganised human being you've ever met. School had just begun and he was already lagging behind with homework. "Sure, whatever, meet me after Latin", you said, clutching your books tighter as you turned away from him. You were already late. "I love you Y/N! You're the best!" His shouts behind you made you chuckle, although you were very aware of the curious eyes all around you that rested on you right now. As you ignored them and pushed further through the massive bulk of students on their way to their classes, you spotted another familiar figure. "Neil! NEIL!" He turned around and his face lit up as soon as he saw you. "Y/N!" He gently pushed a few juniors away and soon stood before you. He had grown even taller over the holidays, you noticed. "Unfair," you commented. "Sorry?" " You're so tall, everyone's making space for you!" He laughed before grabbing your books. "Well, that's hardly my fault. How was your holiday? I assume you're dying of excitement for Latin?" "You bet!", you replied, making you both laughed as you continued your way together, students parting for you.
~In the lesson ~
"Miss L/N, would you mind explaining to us what your obviously very exciting conversation with Mr Perry is about?" Your head snapped up and Neil adjusted his glasses nervously, already knowing what was about to happen. The entire class held its breath as you stood up calmy." Why of course not, Sir. We merely talked about how absolutely stunning and interesting it is that the conjugation of latin verbs is somehow - how should I put it -" you paused, seemingly searching for the right words - "igniting a fire in our young hearts and is stimulating our every brain cell, no our entire being - to strive for endless grammar lessons. Grammar until eternity!" A few surpressed chuckles were heard from the back, quickly covered by coughs. Mr McAllistar just glared icily at you." Detention, L/N. You went get away that easily this time. "" But, Sir-"" Sit down, Mr Perry. Now - "He turned to the board once more -"Mr Andersson, what did you learn about the verb 'habere'?" You flashed the tiniest grin in Neil's direction when he looked to reassure him. He responded with a huff and an exasperated eye roll. You yourself weren't too concerned about the detention and you didn't plan on stopping your teasing any time soon. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Neil suddenly tensing up when the bell rang. "Go on you dork, I'll be fine", you said and urged him towards his waiting friends. "But why do you keep getting in trouble? It's really devastating, you know!" You tried not to think about him genuinely caring about you and continued. "I can look out for myself by now",you stated firmly and shoved him away. "Meet you at dinner. Oh, and please give Pitts -" you scrambled around in your bag - "this. It's Latin. Go on now!" With that, you turned to the office of MrMcAllister, leaving Neil with a creased piece of paper and a bad conscience.
Neil POV
I hated it when she did that. Getting herself into trouble like that so often, she was lucky she hadn't been expelled yet. The conversation of the others rushed past my consciousness and I was relieved when Todd and I were in our room. How did she always manage to get him all riled up like that? Actually, he had known the answer for a long time, but wasn't ready to accept the truth yet: That he was completely and irreversibly in love with you. But he wasn't supposed to think like that, it only made him have hope to shatter again eventually. And he really couldn't afford to break in the moment. "Neil? What is it? You're so quiet. It is about Y/N again?" I sighed and rubbed a hand over my face. "Yeah. Shouldn't have let her go to detention alone." "You can't always give yourself the fault, Neil." After a pause , Todd added :"Even if your father wants you to think you're worthless. Trust me, I know the feeling." The mention of my father made me feel numb and I blinked away some tears. "It's true, he's quite the bastard." Todd laughed and gave me a reassuring shoulder squeeze. Then he returned to his desk, stacking a bunch of books onto it. "What are you studying for?", I asked to change the topic. "History," he sighed. "I really - oh!" I saw the piece of paper he had dropped tumble to the ground in slow motion. It rotated around itself gracefully. I read "SEIZE THE DAY" in capitals and never did feel more addressed. "See you", I said with my mind suddenly clear, leaving for the door. "Wait Neil! It's after bedtime hour! What if you get caught?" I simply shrugged and pulled the door shut behind me. Breathing out deeply, I turned in the direction of your room. Seize the day.
Your POV
You couldn't help but jump when it knocked on your door. An unusual time for a visitor - perhaps Mr McAllistar again? Hesitantly, you raised your voice. "C-Come in?" The door immediately swung open and a worried- looking Neil rushed inside. "Neil?" "Y/N, how was it? Are you okay? You weren't present at dinner!" You waved it off. "McAllistar just wasn't finished with his speech about giving teachers the respect they deserve when it started. I'm fine, but why are you always so worried? I mean -" you laughed teasingly - "don't get me wrong, it's pretty cute, but I still don't get it." "Well, I - today, I -" Neil cleared his throat, blushing and starting again. "There was this quote and I guess I just.. It all clicked suddenly", he rambled quickly, looking down.
A/N : so obviously this is not the end, but tumblr didn't want to save anything lately. Part 2 is about to follow shortly! But bc it already has been so long, I thought I could as well give you a lil cliffhanger XD @ladyofthornfield ❤️

CURRENT AGES! (When they left Subbin)
Ran-19
Ranbob-26 (Previously 28 but decided to change it a bit, decided I didn't like the 9 year age difference between the brothers)
Watson-33 (Previously 35 but decided to change it a bit)
Jackie-16
Grievous-22
Benjamin-30
Cletus-24
Charles-25 (Previously 27 but decided to change it)
Isaac-29
CURRENT TIME LINE! (THIS IS NOT INDEPTH AND IS INSTEAD INTENDED TO GIVE A BRIEF SUMMARY OF EVERYTHING, DETAILS MAY BE CHANGED DEPENDING ON WHATS ADDED)
-Dream gets control of Ranbob and uses him to basically commit genocide in Mizu, Ran barely escapes.
-After living alone for 6 years Ran arrives in Subbin, takes part in the Pit tournament, and gains a family. At the same time the fishermen find and rescue Ranbob, bringing him to their home.
-2 years past with Ranbob recovering and having a haunting, and Ran fighting while spending time with his own haunting.
-Isaac manages to convince his group to go to Subbin even though Ranbob is a bit nervous, the fishermen join The Pit for the promise of money and fun. Ranbob gets pinned against Ran (doesnt know its Ran) and sees the King of The Hill is on with Ran at the top. Ranbob climbs up to see Ran there, he is shocked and approaches him with weapon dropped and shaking, Ran kicks him off the edge. Ranbob slams his head into the ground and dislocates his shoulder, rises up to see the King of The Hill dropping. Ranbob tries to talk to Ran only for Ran to run to him and slam him into the ground, yelling at and threatening him. He carries him over to the edge of the arena and at this point Porkius calls off the fight and the fishermen and Gladiators enter the arena to seperate them. Ran cursing out Ranbob as he gets dragged away. Ranbob gets treated in the medical wing as Ran storms about and the two groups talk and match everything up.
-Weeks past with incredible tension in the air. They decide that taking a trip may help and after getting approval from Porkius, manage to convince Ranbob and trick Ran to come along.
-After agurements and tense moments while in a carriage, they get out and walk to their next destination. A flower biome. Where they manage to relax and have fun for a few days before moving on.
-Next Watson leads them to a nearby waterfall he found with a tunnel behind it, the brothers get water splashed on them by Isaac and Jackie being idiots, and from dripping water in the cave, leaving Ran with burns to his neck and hands, while Ranbob has burns to his cheeks and also to his neck. The burns fade quickly with help of burn cream Watson brought with.
-After they pass the tunnel they see a shattered Savanna, and decide to travel through it. Tension ramps up when both Grievous and Cletus almost fall off halfway up a mountain, and when Rans scowling and growling end up sending Ranbob so far away from him he almost walks off the edge.
-Watson says the Savanna is to dangerous and leads them to a nearby roofed forest, where they have their first run in with Raq and learn that Ran is still being hunted.
-After 3 morw run-ins with Raq they move to another forest, this time Oak, and stumble upon a village, where they stop for supplies. This is also where they learn of Kelalen, but the librarian they learned it from dismisses them as lunatics and to avoid them. Upon pressing for more info they find out it was like Mizu, to which Ranbob shows interest and excitement.
-They move on to a Tagia biome where everyone attempts to tame a wolf and fails, expect Charles, Watson, and Ran. Charles gets 4 dogs from this and is very happy.
-While running to shelter in a cave from a thunderstorm, the brothers lag behind the rest, and start to badly agure. At the end Ran shouts something that makes Ranbob stop, stare at him with teary eyes, and run away. Ran almost goes after him but doesnt and instead goes to tell the others. While Ranbob finds another smaller cave to hide it, and after some harsh words, everyone goes searching for him. Leaving Ran alone and leaving him with his guilt ridden, horrible feeling, and merciless mind
-They get Ranbob to come back to find Ran gone, at first almost no one wants to go after him. Saying how it's all his fault. But eventually they agree to look for him after the storm has passed. Its a full day until the storm passes and the gladiators have become very worried for Ran.
-When they finally look for him, it takes them hours to find him. And they only find him when there's a sudden shout through the woods, leading them to Raq mid-attack on Ran, taking advantage of his distraction of being lost in his own mind. Sadly their a bit late and aren't able to save Ran from a blindness potion. But are able to chase Raq away. Ran suffers due to the potion, and everyone is distressed.
-3 days pass until they manage to collect themselves up enough to move, after Ranbob said that he believes the town of Kelalen is nearby, he believes traveling there is worth the risk.
-It takes a week to travel to Kelalen and at first they get turned away, before Lucia recognizes some features of Ranbob and feels bad turning them away when Ran is blind. So they get brought in and Ran gets cured.
-They stay in Kelalen for 4 weeks (minimum, may be more later on, im actually thinking along the lines of months) where they learn more about everything and Foolish who is particularly interesting. And after a while and long conversations they say goodbye and continue on to their next biome, a snow biome.
-While in the snow biome they meet a particular old enderman who used to live with members of the SMP. He reveals his name as Edward and upon meeting Ran and Ranbob he makes the connection with them to Ranboo. And starts to happily tell stories and teach lessons. But when Ran leaves to go to bed, Edward reveals that Ran does love Ranbob, but is struggling with his own nightmares that make it hard for him to show it to Ranbob. Who hesitates believing him, but eventually does. From here on Ranbob looks at and thinks of Ran in a different view.
-After the snow biome theres no real destination next on their list, so they decide to just explore.
-3 months past before something interesting happens. Whenever they come across a village Jackie has formed a habit of asking them about Foolish, as he took a interest in him. And he eventually gets a village that goes "Yes Foolish is that way." And he excitedly drags everyone else with him to meet Foolish.
-They get to Foolish's home and start exploring. Jackie is alone when Foolish confronts him and Jackie brings him to the others. Foolish isn't exactly nice at first but warms up upon seeing the brothers again, as he's reminded of Ranboo. Hes informed about Dream and he is horrified to learn that and offers his help, they decline beliving themselves already free of Dream. Just before the group leaves Foolish gives them access to his armoury, saying how he feels like they'll need it. Before Ran can leave Foolish gives him a special totem of undying, saying he truly means he'll help, and that he feels they may face Dream again. Foolish tells Ran to break it when they need help and he'll be summoned to them. Ran leaves disturbed.
-2 years have passed with the group and brothers getting closer, along with occasional attacks from Raq and other hunters. They head back to Subbin. Their goal of getting the brothers closer achieved. Their still not as close as they used to be, but their close enough they can joke around, be left in the same room together alone without someone being stabbed, and even hug. Though Ran still hasnt fully forgiven Ranbob yet, but he's trying his best. Their on their way back to Subbin when nightmares between the two start ramping up, and Ranbobs episodes where he tries to run back to Dream are also on the rise. Everyone is starting to suspect something is happening but isn't sure what and so try to move on. When next Raq attack he brings back up again, this time instead of focusing on Ran, they focus on Ranbob. When Raq is defeated and finally caught, they ask why, and Raq reveals that theres a person who put a high bounty on Ranbob. Raq dies from Ran and Cletus.
-Ranbob fears its Dream, the others comfort him saying Dream can't escape Mizu. Their wrong.
-They finally get to Subbin and things are normal for a while, until Porkius reveals that Ranbob probably shouldn't be alone for a while. When asked why he reveals that the bounty on Ranbob has been put back up in Subbin, although he's going as fast as he can to nullify it. Benjamin, Charles, and Watson go to the local bar where bounties are put. And sure enough there's one for Ranbob there.
-When they get back Ran reveals what Foolish told him about facing Dream. They realizie Dream somehow got out and is hunting Ranbob down. Ranbob is terrified but they manage to comfort him. And they come to the conclusion they need to fight Dream. They spend months preparing and training for it.
-(This is the end bit and has yet to be fully figured out. So it'll be added in at a later time.)
Notes: During the whole time traveling, unless specified, Ran and Ranbob are far away from each other. Ran tending to be in the very front of the group with Ranbob in the very back. And whenever Ranbob got close to a gladiator Ran would growl at him to back off.
If you have any questions feel free to ask! (And if I missed anything please tell me so I can add it)
And I wanna check, am I still ok to send these?- to like talk about my au or no?- I'm afraid I've overstayed my welcome honestly and if I did I dont want to annoy you and will stop! And if you still don't mind, is there anything you want me to change? In general?
This’ll be helpful for the future! Also, Charles has four dogs, that’s adorable.
Of course you’re okay to send ‘em, I love reading these things!
I will never be annoyed about getting to see someone’s cool ideas and see how they choose to build on them. That sort of thing is awesome, and I love seeing it, your AU most certainly a favorite in that like. Send as many as you’d like, and I’ll be all the happier for it.
