He usually sees you cooking most of the time, so he just feels this slight tinge of guilt for not taking over.

So then he decides to cook this time.

He’s a good cook, but we all have our moments, and this was one of those.

He decided to make pozole that day.

Everything was going well, until he had to deal with the chiles.

Dumbass accidentally rubbed his eyes while he still had chile on his fingers. A small yet common mistake.

You walked into the kitchen to prepare the food, but you just walked in on a teary-eyed Alejandro.

“..¿Estás bien, Alejandro?”

“No.”

You were quietly laughing, and he knew.

“Are you seriously laughing?”

“Sip.”

But, you start helping him out by just rinsing his eyes with warm water. Then you finally start cooking together.

You’ll argue about which ingredient goes next into the pot.

You two end up finishing the pozole, thankfully without burning down the entire kitchen.

Though you pick on him.

“You may have added too much salt, Alejandro.”

“Dios mío.”

He can cook a few things, but they're pretty basic.

Other than that, he can’t really cook. Maybe a little better on baking since that’s what he mostly knows.

Since you cook almost all the time for him, he just feels bad.

So he made the brave decision to bake something in order to thank you for cooking.

We all know how that went.

He ended up mixing the cupcake batter a little too hard, and now half of the kitchen and himself are covered in cupcake mix.

Unfortunately, you walked in on the scene. You definitely took a picture.

He’s just staring at you while you try to hold back your laugh.

After you force him out of the kitchen to change into something clean, you both work together this time.

“How about I pour the batter into the pan.”

“Fine.”

You let him take care of the oven, but you’re just watching him in case he fucks up somehow.

This guy can probably take out things from the oven without mitts. It’s a hidden talent of his.

“Put something on your hands at least, goddamn it!”

“I don’t feel anything at all.”

You two ended up making some bomb ass cupcakes. Just don’t ever leave him alone in the kitchen again.

The only thing you can really trust him with cooking is just stirring.

Ghost still felt bad for not helping out.

So, when he decided to help you by cooking this time, it was utter chaos.

Mans did not know what he was doing.

He was trying to make a simple muffin.

He even messed up which ingredients he needed to get.

He left the kitchen with a bunch of flour everywhere. He even had some on his face.

Barely anything was actually IN the bowl.

When he saw you in the corner of his eye, he just looked at you nervously.

“..Morning.”

“Simon, what the actual fuck?”

He felt even worse since he also messed up the kitchen. But you reassured him that you didn't really care.

Since there was some leftover batter, you decided to just help him finish up with the muffins.

He kept crushing the eggs by accident.

“Why do you keep crushing the eggs?”

“I dunno.” And he just gives you a confused shrug.

When you two finally finish making the muffins, you wipe off the extra flour he had in his face.

He just gives you a small smile.

-All the villains are the opposite of their characters and are actual sweethearts in real life

-Kira is so shy in real life

-Diavolo did not like the dye they used for his hair because it was difficult to get off after shooting was done

-Dio's Wrryy was an actual accident. When they were filming the scene where he first became a vampire, he just said it. The cast and crew loved it and it stuck ever since. The same applies to the Muddas as well.

-Dio says Wrry a lot when the cameras are not rolling especially when he gets startled.

-Poor Dio gets pranked by everyone especially Jonathan and Jotaro. Everyone loves hearing him says Wrry or Muda xD

-Jonathan, Jotaro and Joseph are actually brothers in real life

-Diego is Dio's twin brother and as a result people confuse the two much to their amusement. Dio is taller and more muscular and Diego is the smaller twin. Also Diego has shorter hair than Dio.

-Giorno is Dio's real son and his oldest child. Ungalo is the last born and was born when Phantom Blood was released. Yes Lisa is his daughter xD He kind of adopted her even though she is an adult because they have a strong bond due to Lisa playing his baby sister in a movie years ago

- Dio went through a terrible divorce around the time of Phantom Blood

-Lisa is much younger than her character xD

-Kars and Dio always flirt with each other whenever they see each other to the point where everyone ships them, something they are aware of.

-Dio's Stardust Crusaders costume was actually his idea. He wanted his character to be as outrageous and sexy as possible hence the crotch spot xD

-Kars was uncomfortable with his outfit due to the cold temperatures where they were shooting

-Stardust Crusaders and Battle Tendency were shot at the same time

-The Villains Club which are all the main Jojo Villains are all besties and get along well. There is that occasional spat in the Villain house between Dio and Kira over stupid shit which gets resolved later. These bitches always hang out and do karaoke and stuff

-All the various Jojo casts from different generations all do karaoke on Sundays as part of their tradition.

-There was one funny karaoke incident that Jolyne filmed. This incident had Kars, Dio,Funny Valentine, Jotaro, Jonathan,Joseph, Caesar, Giorno,Diavolo, Diego, Johnny, Pucci, Kira and Josuke all singing and dancing to one of Aogiri's hit tracks and actually doing the dance moves. Giorno and Josuke were the ones that taught the others. Jotaro fucked up in some parts making everyone laugh. The video went viral and Aogiri found it hilarious and reached out to the guys and they all became friends

-Giorno and Josuke hit the high notes and Diego, Kira and Kars did the rapping. Dio was enjoying himself a lot because he loves dancing and being an idiot on set xD. Dio also did some rap parts much to everyone's surprise and he was good at it.

-Giorno, Jolyne, Anasui, Lisa Lisa, Weather Report, and Josuke love Aogiri and would blast their music all the time.

-Their fave members:

Giorno: Eren, Kaneki

Jolyne: Eren (she has a crush on him xD)

Anasui: Light, Lelouch

Lisa Lisa: Kaneki, Ichigo

Weather Report: Izuku, Ichigo

-When Jolyne got to meet Eren in person, she almost screamed and fainted because of her crush on him

-Lisa Lisa is actually the clumsiest Jojo family member and occasionally crashes into shit a lot making everyone worry about her safety

-According to Jotaro, Josuke eats the most out of everyone and always steals snacks from the snack bar

-Pucci was scared of Dio at first but once he realized how sweet he was in real life, he relaxed.

-Dio would scare many people at first due to how terrifying his character was but meeting him in-person shocks many

-The Jojo that is similar to the character is Jonathan, something he finds funny

-Little Dio and Little Jonathan are friends in real life and go to the same school. Both of them are now grown up and are successful actors. The same applies to the baby versions of the others

-Everyone calls Funny Valentine Barbie because of the pink outfits and the hair. He loves the name and cracks Barbie jokes on set.

-Diego injured himself during the filming of the race scenes.

So to offset my crisis from the “Josuke erasing stands” thing

Blooper/Behind The Scenes AU where Jojo’s is a “live action” type thing and the actors get up to all kinds of shenanigans

Some highlights:

Dio and Jonathan aren’t siblings, but after filming Phantom Blood become very close friends

Jonathan and Erina were actually married before hand and end up basically adopting half the cast. Jonathan also ends up working as a member of the crew after filming Phantom Blood because he's just. Very Very Strong

Part 2 Joseph is Part 3 Joseph’s son who’s Part 4 Joseph’s son

At least 2/3rds of the outtakes in SDC were intentional because the Crusaders kept playing around with eachother

a good chunk of Polnareff’s lines are technically off script, and he was just so persistent that the director just Let Him

Polnaref and Iggy’s rivalry wasn’t faked. Those two had it out for each other and no one knows why

Dio isn't actually an asshole as a person, but sometimes he does accidentally get a little to into his role and ends up scaring the shit out of everyone else

and yes, he was able to do The PoseTM without any help from cables

Koichi is actually 12 years old and is The Little Brother of everyone in DiU. He was also close friends with Shigechi and the two were a bit sad neither of the characters ever actually meet

Jotaro had the same actor for every single part. He already had the height for an adult, so they just changed his make up and clothes

most of the Stands are either actors or puppets, but both have a lot of fun and chaos with their roles and there's so much shenanigans. For example, Sheer Heart Attack was a little rc car and there were several occasions of Kira “chasing” people with it

ive scrounged the internet (well, lightly sifted through and then got bored) for a jojos bizarre adventure sexuality headcanons post that I agreed with completely and I literally could not find any so here’s my opinion that nobody asked for 😘

I think most people can agree that Jonathan is probs the straightest joestar (that I know of, I’ve read up to part 7 but I’ve heard gappy is pretty fucking straight) but yeah he’s straight

He probs doesn’t even fully understand what being not straight is but if someone he knew came out to him he would be very supportive even if he didn’t know what it rlly meant

first off jotaro really does not strike me as the type to think about romantic relationships all that much and definitely does not consider anybody for a romantic relationship upon first meeting them. he needs time to feel something more than platonic. I’ve seen people say that he’s aroace which I do think could be possible but I personally think that he does want love and care wether it be platonic or romantic

asexual just makes sense for him I’m pretty sure the majority of the fandom (not including the homophobic pissbabies) can agree with this. he doesn’t understand how people can just look at someone and feel attracted to them, bro probably discovered asexuality when he saw a meme that he related to and saw the asexual hashtags in the caption bro

i have a very specific stranger things headcanon which i'm going to expose rn while i explain WHY in my head Eddie Munson is the one destined to kill Vecna!!!

first of all we're going with the obvious facts, Vecna is a creature from the Upside Down but just as the other creatures from previous seasons, he also exists at D&D as "a undead creature of great power, spell caster and dark wizard."

next, Eddie is a Dungeon Master, a hell of a good one, who has Vecna as his main character at the most important campaings, which means he gets to "control" him like a puppet, and probably knows a lot about his powers and weaknesses. Now, y'all seeing the tattoo in his forearm?

this is the mf tattoo!!! long hands, the whole figure controled by strings, just like a puppet plus the fact that Eddie would 100% tattoo his own main D&D character as a puppet because he shows off damn good how it is to be a DM, so yeah, let's assume that Eddie Munson has Vecna as a Puppet tattoed in his skin.

and of course the guitar scene is included here, cuz we all know that this must be one hell of a important moment for the season, or even the final battle, briging Eddie who is a new character for the highlight of importance. and for the song he is playing, i was going for the theories that mentioned The Final Countdown as a classic one and Rainbow In The Dark cuz Eddie has Dio painted in the back of his denim vest.

well, that until this down here happened. spotify and netflix created this personal playlist with songs that would save each user from Vecna (the link was posted at the official strangerthingstv insta stories). most of songs were added according to your personal likes, but when comparing playlist with my friends we noticed that some songs were in everyone's playlist, like Should I Stay or Should I Go, Running Up That Hill, Separate Ways and other songs from the original soundtrack.

but one song in special caught our attention, it was in all of our playlists, even tho none of us recently listened to it, and that's Master Of Puppets by Metallica. and please tell me that you already know what i'm thinking. the song was released at March 3th 1986, like not even a month before the date they are at in the show, genre trash metal, 8 minutes!! and it's Metallica so of course Eddie likes it.

also, look at those goddamn lyrics!!! really??? I'M SCREAMING and idfc if El is the only one who's powerful enough to fight Vecna when this shit makes so much sense!!!! i mean Eddie plopped from nowhere into the Upside Down shit, coincidentally being a guitarist, when one of the only weapons they have against the villain is MUSIC, he's a dungeon MASTER who has Vecna as a PUPPET not only at the game but painted in his pure skin!!! HE'S 100% THE MASTER OF PUPPETS and no one can tell me otherwise!!

i know that this is probably not possible in the real plot of show but in my head it is so real 😭😭 they could totally match this theory with the one of Eddie being number 010 and make it happen!!! either way, i believe my man is the one who can fuck up with Vecna's life and laugh at his face while doing it! my master <3<3<3

Finally a chance to pick a new book to read! Finally some time all for himself! A whole week of no clients and only classes to worry about, Dio could focus only on his students and find what would be their vibes, but first he needed to think a little bit about himself and that meant picking up a book in the library.

The question was what to choose with so many good ones available at the classics section. He thought of taking something more in the veins of horror or suspense first, but those were his go-to most of the time, and Dio needed something different. A book to break that routine of crime and grisly scenes he dealt with most days of his life, something refreshing and that he didn't have much of.

That was how the blond ended up reaching for a romance novel at the same time as another person, and he too stopped and lowered his gloved hand when noticing it.

"No, please, you can have it." As always, he kept his soft voice to a minimum, not only because this was a library, but also due to not feeling comfortable with raising it for no real reason; basically if his interlocutor could hear him, that was as loud as he'd be.

Only then he stepped back, looked at the young man who had the same idea as him and presented him with a shy yet pleasant and warm smile. "Can I just read the summary before you take it? I haven't read this one before." He could memorize the title and look for it online later if there was no other volumes available, or couldn't find another novel that caught his attention like this one, besides, he already had other two books secured in his other hand's hold, so it would be impolite to want that third one.

"O-Oh! Where are my maners?" He held the same hand that reached for the book out. "It's rare to see other men around these shelves. Call me Dio... and yes, I'm a sucker for a good book, classic or not."

I'm the oldest of the band. I'm a bit of a self-proclaimed older sister to the others and I feel super protective of them. When I'm not making music with the band you can usually find me working on my comic or some other artistic pursuit. I'm a chronically exhausted college student. You can tell what songs I wrote by them having a more jazzy or melancholy tone to them or just being bat-shit off the walls insane. I’m that guy with the neon green hair in the blog’s pfp lol. pronouns are he/him, xe/xem/xyr, and it/its. I take a lot of influence from older punk rock and, surprisingly, country and folk music. my favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Oingo Boingo, They Might Be Giants, The Cure, Talking Heads, Bikini Kill, Shilpa Ray, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, The Magnetic Fields, The Daniel Pemberton TV Orchestra, Lemon Demon, Man or Astro-Man, Radiohead (not in a pretentious way, I swear), Will Wood, Creedence Clearwater Revival… oh boy, there’s a lot. I like music! I tend to disappear at unpredictable intervals due to chronic pain/fatigue and parental restrictions, but I always come back. I keep my dad’s old stenobook by my bedside to write lyrics in - he wrote lyrics for the Panama City punk bands he was in in 1990-ish in there, and I figured I could put it to good use again after all these years. he’s cool with it. see you around, and stay safe out there 🪲

In honor of Iggy Throw Friday I've come to inquire about your headcanons if he had lived past DIO or just left the crusaders.

Huzzah! iggy throw friday!

aND i absorbed this into my rewrite and things went the way i wanted? id straight up have Iggy leave the party before they reached DIO's mansion.

After the fight with Pet Shop, when he gets saved from the river by that kid who owned the dogs? I say that kid takes Iggy home and gets to happily live out his days with them, content and happy to finally have a family home where he's treated like a dog, just simple and good life. Not some secret weapon being dragged across the fucking globe for some shit he never cared about.

And idk they'll figure some shit out to find DIO's mansion idk man (bUT i can also picture a scene of them wondering where Iggy has gone off to, finding a trail of sand and following it to DIO's mansion and spotting Iggy down the road, maybe its just one of the crusaders just Polnereff or Jotaro reaches the end of the sand trail first and they see Iggy. missing a foot but bandaged up, standing alone at the end of the road. Just before they can call out to Iggy he slightly turns to a boy running up to him fretting about how worried he was that Iggy had already run off while still in his condition before sweetly and carefully picking him up with not a single complaint from Iggy before the pair wander away out of view. a tired but content look upon Iggys face.)

also the kid knowing a lil bit that Iggy's special, not 100% grasping the stand concept but defiantly seen Iggy's sand manipulation. just a boy who seems to be really good at having no concept of a dangerous situation and seems to always be getting himself into near death situations and his swaggy super powered doggy

also leaving Abdul and Polnereff to fight Vanilla ice together instead of Iggy and Polnereff. Giving Abdul a waY bigger moment and importance to the end of the final fights. I also think id have Polnereff die in that fight, playing the roll of Iggy for Abdul . Polnereff "paying him back" for the time he gave up his life during the Hol and Hanged Man fight. this mf definitely has the physical genes to be in the herrera family in obvious terms and i just love the vibe he seemed to carry sorry

and woww ok since i brought this up ? let me just give you guys this overall view on how alvaro is in a relationship by what i think ?

because i just feel it,, i feel like he would be the indulging type you know? the kind that is,, if you wanted to so something or go somewhere,, you bet his ass is already tagging along with you -

he just “lives in the moment” is what im sort of going for and i dont know why he reminds me of that overall

so before i move on,,, i was debating whether or not to include this but obviously if youre reading this i added it and left it as it was,,

but for a hot minute i could not decide how the first meeting between the two of you went -

because i kind of saw two ways this could go,, like he may have just met you randomly,, youre not associated with anyone,, youre just his nena and thats it -

i sort of imagined him just starting to bring you around and if anyone asks he just says some shit like “oh es una amiga” and just leaves it as it is because thats how the two of you started out as,, just friends-

and then sooner or later since hes always around you you just become his girl ? ya know -

but then,, then i had this other thought pop up into my mind because i just - i love the idea of you also being amados little sister :) and meeting alvaro that way ?

because could you just imagine those meetups amado and pacho would have but instead of just the two of them :)

so i feel like he goes over the top with gifts almost all of the time but he gets things that expresses his feelings clearly,, its all sentimental for him and i cry imagining it :(

and also ? los besos ?? this man no se conforme with one,, he needs a minimum of two or more,, no matter what just because i think he would love ? the attention he would get from you :)

but also because of the thought of him giving you that stupid small smile he does when you pull away after giving him unos cuantos besitos

depressing ass stranger things headcanons of mine:

-You know that scene where Max is sitting on Billy’s bed after he’s gone? Yeah, she went through his closet and picked out a couple shirts to keep. Kept a jacket that she never wears. I like to think she even went through his cassette tapes, shaking her head at some of them, but wiping tears all the same, and took a Metallica one (presumably Kill ‘Em All) that she used to see him pop in repeatedly in the Camaro. It’s under her bed in a box, as she hasn’t been able to bring herself to listen to it yet.

-El laying on the couch with Joyce after the move, watching Miami Vice on Friday nights. sometimes tearing up without Hopper to make jokes or pick on things.

-Maybe Max has a mechanic friend, similar to that “really good lawyer” (Sorry but I hear lawyer and immediately assume Matt Murdock) that she knows, and begged to keep the Camaro safe, promising she’d save up to fix it and keep it for herself when she learned to drive officially. Even though she hated it sometimes, she can’t just have it disappear.

The above is partially because I worry myself sick over what happened to the Camaro, and the idea of it being taken to a junk yard makes me overwhelmingly sad. and I can’t imagine Neil giving two shits about it and wanting to pay to fix it.

-The Party members that remain in Hawkins riding their bikes by the Byers’ old house because they miss it. Miss the walls that once had a goddamn alphabet painted on them, or running up and down the hallway, or playing D&D on Will’s bedroom floor. Mike, more specifically, does it most often, more often than he’d ever admit, and usually doesn’t tell anyone when he goes alone.

-After Eddie, Dustin starts listening to Metallica, or Black Sabbath, sometimes branching out to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. He wants to feel closer to the brother figure he lost, and after the “most metal ever” performance, he realizes he’s been missing out on good shit. He only listens to the music when he’s alone, and adopts Max’s headphones-on-hand-at-all-times method. sometimes the others ask him what he’s humming, but he just keeps it to himself.

-Dustin wears his Weird-Al shirt more often, (“You were wearing a Weird Al shirt, which I thought was brave”) as a reminder of Eddie. But he did ask his mom to buy him a Metallica one, and he wears it pretty often.

-Lucas really is a Kate Bush fan now. He sits in the hospital beside Max, listening and thinking about how Max has felt recently, and wanting to feel closer to her. Promising himself to never let her slip out of his grip again.

-Steve and Robin get a copy of that Eddie picture that Wayne puts up (the Dio shirt one) and put it up in the Family Video, and get a name tag made with “hero” emblazoned on it. Steve scolds anyone who says a fucking thing about it. Steve also tells Eddie about new movies when they come out. Think of it as an unofficial Eddie Munson shrine.

Imagine, if you will. It’s 1987, and the first trailer for The Lost Boys has come out. Steve watches it with Dustin one day when they’re together, and they both know that Eddie would’ve been so down to see it, so they tell his picture about it, and then go see it together.

-Max sends El a letter that has a couple polaroids of the Spring flowers in Hawkins in it. She knows how much she loved those, and wants to bring a little comfort to El what with everything going on. Also, Max signs her letters “Love, Max.” (Yes Mike, I’m talking to you.)

-Giorno wants to launch a musical career. He has gotten offers from various record labels as he has a YouTube channel that has him singing covers of some well-known songs and everyone agrees that he is an amazing performer. He is recording an album at the moment

- The Villain Club have a YouTube series called Villain Club Fiesta which shows then doing things they want to try like cool a particular dish or skydiving

- Jotaro has a massive cologne collection that rivals Dio’s

- Dio is a brand ambassador for Gucci as well

- Maria cooks lasagna for the cast on Fridays. Everyone loves her lasagna plus she launched a best-selling cookbook

- Kakyoin hosts red carpet events and he loves it because he loves fashion

- Jolyne initially wanted to be either a professional basketball player or a dancer before she joined the Jojo family

- Jolyne is part Egyptian as her mum is Egyptian

- Her mum is a close friend of Jotaro’s and passed away after a battle with crevice cancer

- Giorno is the fashion King of the Jojo cast. Everyone agrees that he has the best drip which is why many fashion brands want him to be their brand ambassador

-Eren said that Giorno can give him a good run for his money as far as dancing is concerned. He also praised his voice and has done a duet with him which is on YouTube

- Jolyne cosplayed as Ahri for Halloween. Ahri fell in love with her outfit and complimented her online. They are now friends

- When Dio heard what Levi did to Eren, he went full on Mudad mode and beat the shit out of Levi for maltreating Eren

- Eren lost both of his parents around the time of Season 4 and ever since then, Dio has become his surrogate dad and Erina acts his mum

- Jonathan was furious when he learned about the toxic unsafe set that Attack on Titan had and spoke harsh words to Pixis the producer about it

- Aogiri always visit the set to hang out with the gang and also see what goes on. They do not reveal any spoilers which is a good thing xD

- Jolyne, Josuke and Giorno dressed up as their dads. Jonathan was an emotional wreck because it was so cute

- Jonathan also produced Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach and Rurouni Kenshin

- There was a time Bruno was so sick that he just kept puking. He was rushed to the hospital and they discovered he got food poisoning from some snacks he ate at home

- Dio was born in Italy but raised in England and speaks fluent Italian. Diego and the Brando kids as well

- Kars has an Instagram account where they do makeup tutorials. He even has a makeup line

- The Pillar Men always purposely mess up their lines just to make everyone laugh

- Jonathan got the idea for Jojo’s after watching Dracula one night

- Each Jojo series is based off on a movie Jonathan watched

- Dio hated his fangs because it was difficult to eat with them. Same applies to other vampire characters

- Dio was on set when they filmed the 7-page Muda scene. He was cheering Giorno on like the proud Mudad that he was. When Giorno did his Wrryyy. Dio shed tears of joy and after filming wrapped up, he hugged his son and told him how proud he was

- The entire cast and crew were hyped up for that scene

- The 7 page Muda was shot in one take due to budget costs yet it came out flawlessly

Unorganized Utena Thoughts

[spoilers for Revolutionary Girl Utena - Trigger Warning for Incest, rape, and abuse]

The entire time I was watching Utena I wanted it to be good, I wanted it to be good so badly, but I was so concerned. Because the thing is I HATE incest plots - I mean I have no idea how most people feel about them but I detest them with all of my heart and I know they're like a staple in anime but they suck shit. But against I really wanted Utena to be good so I pushed forward - and I won't deny that I was indeed curious as to where the story was going and there was a lot of aspects about it that I was enjoying. I just prayed that all those plots would be revealed to be part of the whole - that if they had to be in there they were at least in there in service to the story, and not as some kind of gross fetishization - and tbh I believe that is the case. I think they are supposed to make you uncomfortable and frustrated with the narrative - they're priming you for the relationship between Akio and Anthy. It's interesting because Utena, ultimately, is about unhealthy relationships. But in a way I feel like that is honest. No high schooler knows how to have a healthy relationship, to be honest. Even down to Anthy and Utena, the couple you root for, they are codependent but also lack any communication.

Hngh the swords. What are the swords. Every person has a sword. Is it their conviction? I think it is their proverbial sword. Anthy has the sword of Dios in her though - does that mean that the last remains of Dios, the God, the good in her brother, live on only in her now? When we see the spirit of Dios fall upon Utena is that real? Dios is dead - is it his ghost or does it come from Anthy or is it just to show what Anthy thinks she sees - what she wishes to see. She wishes to see Dios in Utena. There's also something incredibly powerful about when Utena doesn't use hers or Anthy's sword on Wakaba - the fact that she refuses to properly fight her friend. But also isn't there something so sad about it. The black rose arc is basically all about using hate and anger to cover your sorrow, because it feels more powerful, you feel less helpless when you're angry. But you cannot live on anger forever. And when the rose is taken what is left but tears?

I do like the timeloop theory, however I think that each loop people end up taking different roles. I don't think the original iteration that Touga was a ghost or a boy who drowned, but I think in the next revolution one of the roles he fills becomes that boy - it's a little bit like Princess Tutu in that way, with people filling narrative positions, sometimes multiple.

There's so much symbolism I don't even know what to do with half of it. It's tricky because it's hard to choose what's meant to be taken literally or metaphorically.

The badminton scene is by far my favorite. I love how it shows these kids as kids, no longer obsessed with what they were previously. Free to develop new feeling, to banter, to be light for a moment. And tbh I ended up really enjoying Nanami - the first one to see through to how ugly this whole affair was. I have respect for the council members keeping their rings on until it was confirmed that Utena lost, but I also feel for Nanami, who took hers off early, no longer wanting to be a part of something that she knew was so sick and twisted. I also adored Juri, and when she ripped off her own rose I was freaking out in the best way.

I find it interesting how it seems to portray growing up as something one must make the choice to do - the school is the egg, the students the chick, and they desire to find a way to escape the school and become adults. However they also do not understand what makes an adult and adult.

The last episode was incredible. With Utena heaving herself up and pushing herself forward. The idea that someone suffered from abuse needs help - someone to open their coffing - but also needs to be willing to reach out and take the hand and take the step to a new future.

Jjba Stardust Crusaders Ep. 40-44 Thoughts

I've waited a bit to write this. Mostly because I was tired, but also because I wanted to think about it more.

D'Arby Part (Ep. 40-43)

This episode is considerably lighter in tone compared to the Vanilla Ice episodes, cuz we gotta torture Polnareff as much as possible.

I like the paralells between the D'Arby's. Older one is unmatched in cheating, Joseph tries to cheat and gets his soul taken to show there is no way we are winning that way. Jotaro wins by bluffing instead. Younger one is unmatched in skill, Kakyoin tries to win against him fair and square and gets his soul taken away. Jotaro wins cheating instead.

This episode does a lot to build Kakyoin's character. Interesting that the way DIO tempts him is by saying "Let's be friends." I am guessing Kakyoin had a lonely childhood. Maybe he spent all that time palying games. It's not like I was a friendless kid who spent all her time playing Tetris, Pokemon and MOBAs.

I didn't saw this scene in the manga though. It's probably an anime only thing. I like it as an addition, though, I doubt some really shady man saying let's be friends would calm anyone's nerves down. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Also the Kakyoin doll is horrifying.

Joseph saying "No more Mr Nice Guy" got me. Couldn't think of a more white phrase if I tried.

Why,, why do the baseball players have an entire bakery down there.

Jotaro part dragged on a little bit for me personally. It was funny though. Like how Joseph gets angry at Jotaro for playing like shit and Jotaro is saying 'Shouldn't you be cheering for me?'. Later Jotaro is hiding behind his hat. And even later there are the soul reading scenes.

It's so funny seeing D'Arby lose his shit over Jotaro cheating like a TRUE GAMER. I can't believe DIO has a GAMER guard his hideout. D'Arby in general is pretty funny like why does he look like that. Why is his stand like that. What a fucking loser.

Episodes are good but not outstanding.

Vanilla Ice (Ep. 43-45)

The last few episodes were funny, this one is just horrifying.

I will maybe come back to this on a latee post. I wanna think more about these episodes.

Firstly, I actually know Vanilla Ice's namesake. Naming your character after one person instead of a badn or a song name is... bold.

Funny that Dio only remembers Kakyoin at first. He might be pretending to not know the Crusaders that well just to show his superiority or whatever. Motherfucker is reading while Polnareff and Iggy are out there fighting for their lives. I hope Dio dies a million deaths and gets run over.

I kind of hate Advol's death. He doesn't get a send off at all. It just sorta happens before the fight. We don't get to hear his thoughts, we don't get a chance to grieve. It feels weird to me that Iggy's death resonated with me way more, I like Advol so much more too. I get the feeling that he was killed just for the sake of it. His character arc doesn't really need this. I dunno. It felt like a waste. I was angry when he died, not really sad.

I think this part if the opening is suppose to reference this scene. I wonder if this is true for the other shots.

The fight scenes are pretty good. One thing I don't get is how getting some of his foot eaten completely incapacitates him. That would make sense irl but like. He has literary been through worse. This show doesn't really handle injuries all that well.

Silver chariot was animated beautifully.

I actually felt sad over Iggy's death. Since stands represent souls, the fool manifested on its own to save Polnareff. Despite Iggy knowing he would die if he did that.

You'd think Polnareff's arc of being saved would lead him to save someone else instead. But the show almost makes fun of you for thinking that. I kind of like that, actually.

I thought Suzie meeting Holly was a nice scene but it dragged for too long.

The end part really confused me. The tonal whiplash from Iggy dying to this just doesn't sit right me. There are other comedic bits too and none of them land for me. I think they are theree to lighten the mood but like. People are dying, y'know. I wouldn't mind this as much if the jokes were funny but I couldn't really find them funny.

Yeah, that's it. I couldn't think of what I wanted to write, but I though it would be better to write this before watching the finale. I should let them marinate in my head a bit more.

Now, we are at the beginning of the end. With only 4 episodes left. I will watch them after posting this and report to you later. It's currently 5.30

Okay so I've been watching Stardust Crusaders and I'm pissed

Fun show. Pretty nice. I had a lot of fun at the start of it. Fights were long-winded and kind of bullshit but that's what you expect out of JJBA. At least we had a plot even if throwing the ENTIRE FUCKING ARCANA at the protagonists was a stupid, stupid, bloated idea. It works. Whatever

Then you get to the second half and what the fuck is this

Suddenly you ran out of shit to pad your shitty excuse for a plot that hasn't advanced in like 30 episodse and you ran out of arcana so you add Egyptian gods because why the fuck not. You waste my time making battles that are pointless and not even funny after the nth time of watching weird shit happen that you undercut with Funny--because we HAD weird shit that ultimately doesn't really hurt the characters happen already, that's not the problem, the problem is your fucking theme of japes blaring in the background as I spend 22 minutes watching idiots fumble about as if this were a fucking filler episode for Naruto or some shit

Sure. Whatever. What-the-fuck-ever I'll ride it out until I get to the ending which is apparently the only thing worth looking forward to anymore, right. I'll ride it out. Who cares

And then there's Hol Horse

You give me... you give me the start of that episode where he actually has a confrontation with Dio, where Dio seems to actually see something in him that's worth something or whatever, and you put the writing on the wall FROM THE FIRST HALF OF PART 3 that he's not all that loyal to Dio's cause, right. You do all of that. Clearly this scene is pointing me somewhere. Clearly you want me to think oh maybe Hol Horse is gonna heel face turn or whatever. You're pointing me there

And then you just fucking give him two episodes of fumbling about like a goddamn moron, shooting himself in the head, and retire the character

I'm sorry, what the fuck is this? Does nothing fucking matter anymore? Is nothing serious anymore? Clearly I can sit back and stop caring about the relationship between the Crewsaders you built up because suddenly they're all acting like assholes towards each other "just because it's funny" and suddenly if they're in danger I turn into the irl equivalent of the "Oh no! Anyway" meme. What the FUCK is this

I thought Part 3 was the golden child of the series. I thought this was THE best of the best. But here I am instead pissed off wishing it would end already so I could move the fuck on

Oh and I have a LOT more to rant about but I don't want to say it here now because I'm waiting to see how the final episodes try and fix this piece of shit show that decided it'd be funny to throw all the good will Parts 1 and 2 built up in me. Fuck Part 3 all my homies hate Part 3

Also Iggy was a mistake and I regret caring about Polnareff at all bye

Anime Update V2 31

Wolf’s Rain - Cheza turns out to have this Jigglypuff power where she puts people to sleep with a song. Also, we met an old woman know as a Hanabito who’s of the same species as Cheza and warns her against following the wolves to Paradise, and then she dies while declining to have Cheza try to heal her, which was kind of a downer. As the episode ends, Quent and Blue have arrived at the aerial city.

Hunter x Hunter - Gon and Killua found themselves in the Spiders nest where they’re questioned about “the chain user”, who they now realize is Kurapika, but managed to get themselves out all while elsewhere in the city the mob is planning their next counter moves.

Fruits Basket - With only one anime adaptation to watch now, I got started on Season 2. Its first episode was very heavily Yuki-centric and while it was very good, and the portrayal of Motoko and what she was going through was stronger than in the first anime, I think opening the episode, and thus the whole season, with a scene about her was a mistake. Should’ve led with Tohru’s first season recap.

Rozen Maiden - Started Rozen Maiden Zurückspulen, the later anime that supposedly follows the manga closer. And episode 1....oh God, what. in fucking blazes. was THAT? That was horrible. This just straight up ignored storytelling 101 on every basic level and just sped through different plot beats, character intros, and action scenes that did not allow anything to sit and made what you’re watching totally incomprehensible. I don’t know how it was in the manga but I want to believe that these were all different chapters that they crammed into this one premiere episode out of some impatience to get to the split timeline Adult Jun stuff, because if it was always this sloppy? I’d have a whole new appreciation for the first anime for foregoing that shit!

Also, the dub is by Sentai Filmworks and has different VAs for the characters, often for the worse. Kara Greenberg as Souseiseki did nothing for me. I usually love Brittany Karbowski, but her Suiseiseki did not work compared to Rebecca Forstadt. Luci Christian could’ve been a great Shinku but is terribly misdirected here, making her too emotive and snotty. And why oh why did they go with Shannon Emerick as Jun? Mona Marshall’s voice acting was key to making this character work for me, so hearing that whiny voice instead?

The only three really solid casting choices were Jessica Calvello as Suigintou, Hilary Haag as Hinaichigo, and David Wald as Laplace’s Demon. They sounded perfect and really deserved better material.

Fate Zero - Really got to know Kayneth’s wife Sophia better in this one, and she’s pretty creepy but also sentimental and caring for her husband, and she’s voiced by Karen Strassman (She and Doug Erholtz are still saddled together, huh?). Also got to see Rider making himself at home with Waver’s family before taking his master with him to investigate where Caster might’ve creeped off to, with them finding the corpses of children he’s killed and also finding that the Assassin servant class is far from dead. Others in the war like Kiritsugu, Tokiomi, and Kirei continue to make their own plans too...

Revolutionary Girl Utena - The Shadow Play Girls finally turned up in the classroom and got Utena, along with Anthy and Akio, to attend one of their plays, which turned out to be very specific in how it told the legend of the Rose Prince, brother of the Rose Bride who is also said to be an evil and possessive witch who stole the Prince away from all the girls of the world he’d served and protected. This triggers a flashback to Utena’s meeting with her prince, who sure enough IS the Rose Prince, Prince Dios himself...only he’s a spirit in limbo now, dettached from his physical self, who grew up to be Akio Ohtori, aka End Of The World. Anthy’s original spirit is also kept captive and in perpetual torture, and we see what really went down when she took her brother and was accused of being a “witch.” Set her free, Utena!

Senki Zesshou Symphogear - Seeing Tsubasa in traction (but thankfully still alive) and realizing that she can’t ever replace Kanade and is nowhere close to strong enough to fill in for her, Hibiki steps up to the plate and is undergoing more intense training. This does, however, make things weird in her normal life and raises concern from her girlfriend Miku. Also got our first glimpse at the Big Bad, who likes to longue around nude, tortures Chris in kinky ways, and is totally the same person as Dr. Sakurai, isn’t she? Hibiki ended up with Sakurai on a mission to secure Durandal, ambused by Chris and a group of Noise. And I thought Hibiki went feral before, but when she touches Durandal and gains its power, she turns into a fucking BEAST! This should be good for our side...why doesn’t it seem so?

AMC: Gintama - Probably the weakest episode of this show I’ve watched so far, with only three things standing out and elevating the viewing experience for me - the joke with “Dr. Gregory Home”, the twist that Otose was the kind waitress that the dying old pervert was yearning to see again, and the coining of “Strawberry Milkers.”
