As long as Ben Hopper could remember he wanted to punch Steve Harrington in his stupid attractive face. The guy was cocky, arrogant and shallow. He was “King Steve” of Hawkins High, not a care in the world or anyone else for that matter. There was no way Ben would ever become friends with the likes of him. But all of that changed when they started to deal with the Upside Down. As they were forced to fight side by side, Ben found himself rethinking everything he thought about Steve, wanting to understand the person he really was instead of the “King Steve” facade. Steve eventually became Ben’s best friend, a person Ben relied on more than anything, something he never expected would happen…then Ben found himself thinking that Steve Harrington was the type of man Ben wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
