Is it true Scott Pilgrim can also play drums? I heard in his last band he played drums for awhile! Is he better or worse than you?

HA! SCOTT? GOOD on drums? Is he telling that to people, or did you hear this from somebody else?

I mean, thinking back on it, I think Stephen might have mentioned Scott playing drums in their old college band with Envy? Neither of them really talks about it too much, least of all Scott- he used to freeze up and go catatonic at the slightest mention of her, so I've tried not to pry too much. It makes me feel weird seeing him like that.

Anyway, I'm only really gleaning what he volunteers, until he's entirely over that whole thing I guess. It feels a little awkward trying to get information out of Stephen about something like that, you know? Underhanded. Whenever he's ready to stop being a baby about it, he'll decide what he doesn't and doesn't want to share, and that's that. No matter how frustrating.

Back to him and drumming specifically... I've caught him messing with my set before, and it was only definable then as a cacophony, so far as I'm concerned. And not the good kind, of which there are some. If he can play the drums, I've definitely got him beat, no contest. There's a reason I'm in the band, I guess.

... He could probably beat me in a video game based around them, though, if there are any. He's ridiculously good at those, and whenever I play those kinds of games it never feels like it's properly on beat. It drives me crazy.

Batman has a watchlist. A list that contains every individual who could become a rouge and a contingency plan for if they did.

And while they, his children, often make fun of his paranoia and him for having it, they totally understand why he did. They lived in Gotham, for Christ's sake. Where everyone’s just a pin drop away from being the city’s next big villain, forcing the bats to scratch their heads while playing cat and mouse with a sicko for a good few weeks. And while they won’t admit it, the list has helped them a few times.

But that won’t stop them from making fun of any of the list’s new developments. Because you see, there was a new list. And it wasn’t just a watchlist. No, no, no. It was The Watchlist.

It was a new development after he and Robin went on an out-of-state mission to investigate some town in bum fuck nowhere Illinois. And it was under some pretty tight security as well, so they were expecting something good, like mad scientists or evil mayors. Not profiles of the kids who lived in the town. And while there were a few metas and vigilantes that made the list interesting, by the end of it all they just seemed to be teenagers.

Until they saw Damian. They hadn’t seen him since he came back from the mission with B. He looked tired. Like ‘Tim hasn’t slept in a week and is surviving on just coffee beans’ tired.

“Ah, I see you all have found it. Good. A few of them will be arriving next week as they’re a part of Gotham Academy’s student exchange program. At least three of them will be staying in the manor with us. Father will need you all to be on standby and to be ready for any possible scenario. Please, for the love of all that is good, do not encourage them in any way, shape, or form. And please do not dismiss them either. The outcome of doing that will be much worse. Is there more that I should add? Yes. Will I? No, because you won’t understand. Not until you've seen what I have.”

The demon child sighed, then looked them dead in the eyes. “Godspeed to us all.” Then walked away.

Okay, they were scared now.

Yumalia's Reunion

Back on my Yumalia brainrot, I can't get over all the layers and depths of their brief interaction in episode 11.

The moment Yugo is done defying his mother and forced to watch her leave, for she had long made her choice, Amalia doesn't hesitate to reach out to him and hold his hand, which Yugo immediately squeezes right back. Even with the threat of imminent war for her people's safety, Amalia's first instinct is to go to Yugo and offer whatever comfort she can, and he just lets her because if there's someone who can ground him, it's Amalia.

That's exactly what she did at the end of season 3. Not only did she tell Oropo he would never be Yugo because Yugo would never willingly or knowingly sacrifice anyone for his cause (even during his fight with Ad during the OVAs he always thought his brother would eventually come back), but she unknowingly dissuaded the fears and insecurities that'd been plaguing him throughout the entire season, both regarding his past actions and his own relationship with her. Because even after all they'd been through and his insecurities hurting Amalia deeply, she still chose him, and she still reaffirmed her love for him in such a way it would allow for their interactions in season 4 to be that much more openly affectionate and less restrained.

But not only that, back then she was also there to ground him when Oropo's passing and his absorbing of the Eliotropes overwhelmed him, helping him see all the good despite what they had lost.

And she is doing that yet again when they finally reunite.

But there is so much more going on here. So many emotions running deep between them.

Look at Yugo's expression, that mixture of surprise and awe etched onto his face. I feel like this is the moment where it truly clicks for him just how much he's changed and all the possibilities his new body entails, especially for their relationship. And Amalia is just happy, happy that he is alive and happy that he can finally see and feel like the great king and warrior she always knew was already there.

For the first time since he's met her, Yugo doesn't have to look up to meet his love's eyes, and you can clearly see how the mere thought takes him aback. But I believe there's so much more to it, so many things left unsaid.

He's looking at her like she's finally within reach, and not only because now they're closer in height. Yugo had to spent the last few years of his life watching how the love of his life grew into the most beautiful flower in Sadida's garden, into a queen, while he remained stuck in his child-like body, with only a title for show despite he too being royalty.

It's all in his eyes!

He isn't just looking at Amalia. He is staring at her like a dying man stares at his salvation, like someone who's been wandering in the dessert for ages looks at an oasis. And it's not just because they might finally have a shot, but because she is there and she is real.

Despite Yugo's unrelenting optimism and will, upon being captured by the Nécromes, a part of him had probably been forced to accept he would never see Amalia again, either because he would remain the last of his days as their prisoner, or because she would too fall soon.

Given his predicament, thanks to Oropo and Qilby's intervention, Yugo was most likely running on adrenaline when he noticed the portal in the Sadida forest and what it would mean for Amalia. His mind was set on protecting her, not on the fact that they would be reunited after such a horrible ordeal. And I don't think it really sunk in that he would see her again until she touched him, until she literally became tangible and attainable.

But she is real, and she is with him, they are together again. Only this time, they might actually get to be together.

Look at such level of intimacy! Such tenderness mixed with the underlying unbriddled passion they feel for one another! Yugo might have been shown being okay with revealing his wings to his friends, but he always took the hood off himself; but not with Amalia. With her he trusts her enough to let her do the honours and all he can do is melt under her touch.

Seeing Amalia again after being held prisoner in the Nécroworld and forcibly aged has allowed Yugo to fall in love with her all over again and, more importantly, to finally allow himself to love her with his whole being in return. No more holding back, no more second thoughts, no more take-backs. No more denying themselves what they have been desperately yearning for.

He loves Amalia and she loves him. And he's going to hold onto her for as long as they both live.

And I am so not normal about them.

#ts4 render #aaron #aaron is a curious case as a character because i think in the very first thing i wrote about aiden and sam #aaron was not a nice person he was still in the cult and aiden and aaron never had a good relationship #but aiden still felt guilty about you know. leaving aaron at the cult because aiden still recognizes that aaron is just mimicking their #parents etc etc #then i think i changed it so that aaron and aiden did have a good relationship but aiden did leave aaron at the cult #so then he very understandably feels guilty about that but the thing is aaron is. dead in this version too #so aiden very much feels responsible for aaron's death and he also theorizes that the people in the cult literally killed aaron #which i'm pretty sure wasn't actually the case but aiden's like trying to find someone other than himself to be angry at. you know #and THEN came the versions where aaron does run away with aiden #but now aaron instead dies under aiden's care and their relationship is like pretty complicated before aaron's death #mostly because of aiden's addiction so aiden very much feels responsible for aaron dying. so yeah

i like to think that when mitsuya needs to do something &can't have his sisters round for some reason, he sometimes (sometimes!) leaves mana and luna with the twins. because yeah ok the others guys are nice, but i don't think any of them would know how to handle two little girls for more than five minutes. i think souya would be a little lost, but nahoya is a big brother too, this man knows what to do.

mana and luna would probably be very happy to go to the twin's house to play with nahoya's plastic models and souya's plushies.

Ah that would be cute!!! I feel like they would be a bit confused as to why Mitsuya is asking them at first, like looking around and assuming there's someone behind them he's talking to. But they agree once they realise. Angry gets a little worried that they won't like him (Smiley is worried too but won't say so). But then it actually goes fine, they happily play with them. I'm pretty sure Luna and Mana try to copy them at some point too, with Luna frowning while Mana tries to smile crazily.

I have this headcanon that whenever Alex gets like really anxious he puts his hand on his heart to feel his heartbeat and it helps him calm down a little. So now imagine him and Luke and Reggie die and they end up in the dark room and Alex starts to panic because they literally just died and now he can't see anything and doesn't know where he is and what's going to happen to them and then he tries to feel his heartbeat and it's just Not There..
