Thinkin of Meat Marionette Bruce and his relationship with the Justice League

It'd be hilarious if like, he was still a founder but doesn't go out for any meetings or whatever with the public so the new league members in the beginning have no idea about him lmao. They just see this giant cloaked thing crouching next to the computer one morning and understandably freaks out and brings Superman and Wonderwoman running to clear up the misunderstandings lol.

Also thinkin about @phoenixcatch7's idea of head rubbing portraying trust and the idea of Bruce leaning his head against Clark or Diana to get pets for comfort. Just getting real close and practically exposing his neck to show that he trusts the two of them with his life.

They've been sitting on the ice for close to a full minute now, waiting for one of the boys to run and grab the trainers. This wasn't how Vince thought the first practice back from the offseason would go, but he hates it already. Adam frowns dramatically at him, the expression a near-comical caricature of his usual subtle displeasure. "I'm fine," he says. "I feel perfectly fine. I just think you look very pretty right now, and you should know it." Vince can physically feel the blush appear on his cheeks. "Okay, well, the trainers will be out any second now," he says, glancing over his shoulder for perhaps the hundredth time. The boys are all doing their best to continue practice as usual, even though it's clear they're worried about their top defenseman. Vince doesn't blame them; the sound of his helmet hitting the boards during that scrimmage was nasty. They've been crouched together in the corner of the rink since then, waiting for the trainers to show up. "The rink lights make your eyes glow," Adam says randomly. Vince thinks he can detect a slight slurred quality to his voice. "I can never tell what color they are. They're beautiful." "Jesus, Adam," Vince mutters, face going hot again. "You can't just say things like that, concussion or not." "I don't have a concussion," Adam insists, frowning at him. "It's true. You deserve to hear nice things. You're supposed to smile when you hear nice things; I love your smile. The little... little crinkles you get in the corners of your eyes..." He reaches up and clumsily cradles Vince's face, thumbing at the edges of Vince's eyes. Vince knows he should probably pull away, but for some reason he can't. His cheeks are fire-hot against the roughness of Adam's palms. "Trainers are here!" someone yells across the rink, and Vince sags with relief. "We should go to dinner sometime," Adam says. Vince gently pulls his face out of his delirious d-partner's hold and turns to see Mike being helped across the ice by Gourdo. "Yeah, bud, okay," he says without thinking. "Let's get you checked out now, alright?" Adam, it turns out, does have a concussion. Thankfully, it's only a light one and he's back to skating before the regular season even starts. It also turns out that a concussion didn't make him delusional, just honest. He really does want to take Vince to dinner. He also wants to hold Vince to his accidental agreement to going out to said dinner. For the record, the dinner is great. "If you could just skip the brain damage part when you want to ask me out next time, that would be great," Vince laughs at the end of the night when Adam has driven him home and walked him to his door. "Good idea," Adam says with a smile. "How does next Friday sound?" Vince blinks. "You... We're gonna be on the road." "I know some good places in Toronto." "Okay," Vince says, a little dazed. "Sure." Adam leaves him with a goodnight kiss.
