Can you rec buddie fics? Pretty please?
OMG it's my time to shine, bitches!!!
Sorry if I went a little nuts, but this fandom has some of the best writers I've ever seen. I have 186 Buddie fics bookmarked in my AO3,
I'll link here if you are interested in taking a look cause if I put them all here it would be too long. Also, I tried to show here some fics I very rarely see recced, and a little bit o the classics. This fandom has some very underrated authors, everyone in my bookmarks is worth taking a look really.
Please take a look at the warnings before reading, enjoy!!!
I Hate Accidents (Except When We Went From Friends to This) by morganofthefairies (Rated E )
Buck and Eddie had always been unconventional. Neither of them gave it much thought – they were just them. Buck and Eddie - partners, best friends, co-parents – just as entangled in each other’s lives as any actual couple in the 118.
Or, the story of how Buck and Eddie went about their relationship in entirely the wrong order.
My Heart's Been Borrowed by ElvenSorceress (Rated E)
aka the one where Taylor gives Buck his ultimate fantasy and uncovers far more than either of them expected, forcing him to confront his long held feelings for Eddie
Half Awake in Our Fake Empire by HMSLusitania (Rated E)
Buck 1.0 fathered a child and Buck 4.0 comes into custody.
Love and Bullets Both Shatter Hearts (But Only One Can Put You Back Together) (Rated E)
Agent [Redacted] Diaz is the best at what he does. Usually. But lately there's this real pain in the ass* who's been ruining his missions: Code Name "Buck."
Keep It On by R_E_R6 (Rated E)
When Eddie walks in on Buck, bent over in nothing but a hoodie, their plans for the night immediately change. Buck's outfit though? Well, Eddie requests that it stays the same...for reasons.
Heart of Flowers / Heart of Gold by ElvenSorceress (Rated T)
Buck nearly loses everything and Eddie has to follow his heart
hungry for your love by evcndiaz (Rated G)
prompt: "who’s gonna write a fanfic where chris is not cooperating with buck and eddie accidentally says “listen to your dad”?"
or; breadsticks are a metaphor for love and boning
keep your eyes on the road by iriswests (Rated M)
A glimpse into buck and eddie’s developing relationship, told through ten moments stopped at a traffic light
when things fall into place by woodchoc_magnum (Rated M)
In which Eddie asks Buck to move in with them during lockdown to help look after Christopher, which leads to certain unresolved feelings being resolved.
Carbon Date Me, Excavate Me by extasiswings, letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
Evan "Buck" Buckley has made a name for himself as the independent bad boy of archaeology. At least, until Professor Eddie Diaz shows up with his fedora and good looks and starts beating Buck to the punch more often than not.
Buck hates his stupid six-pack covered guts.
Except for how... he might not.
Objects in the Mirror by SevenSoulmates (Rated E)
The voice had always been around, Eddie remembers it, like a stream of consciousness that babbled incoherently to the point where Eddie just tuned it out.
But then the voice started speaking directly to him. Conversing like he was a whole person standing right in front of him. Like he could see what was happening around Eddie.
Eddie shook his head. No one was talking to him, and Eddie most certainly was not talking back.
He wouldn’t talk to the boy in his head ever again. There was no boy in his head.
ripples all the way down by iriswests (Rated M)
christopher partakes in some parent trapping
dream of some epiphany by extasiswings (Rated M)
Evan Buckley is lost.
It’s happenstance that he wanders into the navy recruiting center—he’s been in San Diego for a few weeks, bartending late nights and weekends, living in a house with three other guys not because he needs the roommates but because he doesn’t want to be alone, and the military is…respectable. Stable. So Buck thinks maybe and opens the door.
Buck leaves ten minutes later with a set of printed instructions for sending his first letter, assured that he can drop it off whenever he’s ready, and a name.
Staff Sergeant Edmundo “Eddie” Diaz.
Relationship Advice from Complete Strangers Online by HMSLusitania (Rated T)
Hi, I’ve never made a Reddit post before and I’m not 100% sure what I’m doing but I need advice and can’t ask anyone in my real life. So, I [30M] have this best friend [34M]…
Leading with the Left by letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
When Buck said he was a "bartender" in "South America" what he actually meant was "stripper" in "Mexico."
And when Eddie said, "What's your problem?" what he actually meant was, "Is this about the time you gave me a lap dance?"
In other words, there's a few things the 118 doesn't know about Buck. Or Eddie. Or Buck and Eddie's relationship.
fireflies where my caution should be by littlesnowpea (Rated M)
“You never talk about your parents,” Eddie says, which is not even remotely what Buck expects Eddie to say. He frowns, tilts his head, but it isn’t a question, as evidenced by Eddie charging on. “I never asked because I figured it was your business, but the look on your face any time they’re brought up tells me you don’t get along.”
Buck swallows hard, against a lump in his throat. His parents? Eddie’s right, he never talks about them, for good reason. He opens his mouth, then closes it again, not sure what he’s even going to say.
Eddie takes it as the answer Buck is trying to make it out to be. He squeezes Buck’s wrist again, takes a deep breath, like he’s on a call with someone who’s panicking. Buck finds his breathing slowing to match Eddie’s, and Eddie nods as Buck gets it under control.
“There are people on the porch,” Eddie says, voice even. “Saying they want to meet their grandchild.”
Asked, Offered, Given, (He's) Taken by letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
People like to flirt with Buck on calls. It kind of makes Buck uncomfortable.
And that makes Eddie frustrated.
I Hit the Accelerator (But the Car was in Reverse) by extasiswings, letmetellyouaboutmyfeels (Rated E)
When Buck is forced to confront the truth about his breakup with Abby, having casual sex with his hot new coworker seems like the best rebound idea.
Unfortunately, that hot new coworker turns into his best friend. But best friends can keep having sex with each other, right?
There's no way this could possibly go wrong.
Memorable by JessicaMDawn (Rated T)
Six times Buck got recognized by people he saved during the tsunami, and how his team realized he was a hero.
All Bets are Off by NobodyKnows_U (Not Rated)
Or, the five times the firefam realized Buck and Eddie were in love, and the one-time Eddie finally did something about it.
fire on fire by extasiswings (Rated T)
Or: Buck and Eddie get in the habit of sharing a bed while living together during quarantine. It's platonic until it isn't.
Better Together by Randomfandombloggs09 (Not Rated)
5 times Eddie sees Buck wearing his last name and 1 time its not just his
Daddy and Pops by EdithBlake (Rated M)
When Christopher calls Buck 'Pops' things get a bit confusing. Buck and Eddie have a talk with Christopher that ends up with both of them being even more confused by how right it sounds.
the meaning of the words you see by florenceandthemachine (Rated E)
unknown sender: Hi!
unknown sender: Just wanted to say thanks for letting me buy you a drink, and for your number. Sorry I had to run.
unknown sender: I’m Eddie by the way.
sent: hey um
sent: i don’t want 2 be this guy but
sent: i think u mayb put the wrong # in ur phone
the dream you wish will come true by woodchoc_magnum (Rated M)
In which Christopher Diaz cannot understand why his father would want to date his former teacher when Evan Buckley is right there.
vienna waits for you by mottainai (Not Rated)
Eddie doesn't deserve a soulmate.
Work Husband by hideeho (Rated T)
“What...what have you done with Buck?” Eddie is going to kill him for messing with his phone. No, that’s too extreme. He’s going to maim him. Just a little.
“Check under H,” Chim offers helpfully, shooting a look over to Hen with a smirk.
Why the hell would he be under—
Then he sees it.
Husband.
Bad Neighbors by firstdegreefangirl (Rated E)
Eddie's new neighbors are keeping him up all night. He calls on his best friend for a little taste of their own medicine.
Cross the Line by Sirencalls (Rated E)
Eddie laughs, short and quiet and almost to himself. “No. If you want to learn, then I’m gonna be the one to teach you.”
Buck is pretty sure his brain stops working. “What? Why?”
Eddie turns to look at him and steps closer, their chests only a few inches apart. “Because there are people out there who will take advantage of how naïve you are. They’ll hurt you, and I won’t.” Eddie’s eyes are so intense that Buck doesn’t have any choice but to believe him. “If you want someone to do this for you, to—to dominate you, it has to be me. I don’t trust anyone else to do it right.”
pretty in pink by dykeevans (Rated E)
Buck forgets that he and Eddie made plans to hang out until Eddie shows up and Buck's in the middle of laundry day.
His laundry day outfit consists of a small pink crop top and grey sweatpants.
Eddie loses his damn mind. Me too, though, me too.
the distance to the stars by cloudydaisies (Rated G)
“Didn’t know you were seeing someone.”
Buck just laughs. Like, honest to god giggles. Eddie is stuck fighting off doubly massive waves of butterflies and confusion, all while Buck just gazes down at him.
“That’s cute,” he hears Buck mumble, just before climbing into the truck, calling Eddie after him.
-or, everyone knows eddie is dating buck except for eddie, literally.
Something Old, Something New by dumbhuman (Rated E)
“Damn, I love weddings!” Buck’s face lit up as he closed the door.
If asked later, Eddie wouldn’t have been able to explain what came over him in that moment to make him ask the question. Or, at least, he wouldn’t have wanted to explain. The exhaustion was an easy excuse, but he knew deep down that it wasn’t a real one.
“Why don’t you come with me?”
one of the few things by thatnerdemryn (Rated G)
five times that Eddie tells someone else that Buck is Christopher's legal guardian plus one time he finally tells Buck.
I Didn't Know I Was Lonely 'Til I Saw Your Face by HMSLusitania (Rated T)
Total strangers Buck and Eddie go to couple's therapy together to get out of the therapy requirements their captains have placed on them.
things we shouldn't do by Ingu (Rated T)
“Why is everybody taking my relationship status so personally? Can’t I be fine with being single?” Buck said.
“Hey, you don’t have to say yes, be sad and alone if that’s what you want,” Josh replied. “But, I’m just saying. I’ve seen photos and this guy is volcanic levels of hot. Also, single dad, super cute kid. Saves lives for a living like you. I think you should give it a go.”
(the one where Buck and Eddie accidentally get set up on a blind date with each other, and everything snowballs from there)
Keeping It In The Family by Wolves_of_Innistrad (Rated T)
A young man shows up at the firehouse looking for Buck. Turns out Javier was a Bartender with Buck in Mexico. He’s back in LA, looking to reconnect and very flirty. Cue Eddie realizing Buck is not as straight as he thought.
kiss me (like your ex is in the room) by rebeccaofsbfarm (Rated E)
Eddie Diaz gets drunk and protective and signs up for a fake double date to get back at his friend's ex.
Leave the Light On (I'll Be Coming Home) by HMSLusitania (Rated M)
An accident on a call leaves Buck with custody of Chris after Eddie is… missing presumed.
While they navigate their new family circumstances -- and fight to stay together, despite Eddie's parents' best efforts -- a John Doe wakes up in a coma ward with no memory of his own life beyond the knowledge he has a son named Christopher and, somehow, he needs to get home

First alone Weekend away w Steve after dropping miles off at uncle Buckys or aunty nat 🥺
too long // steve rogers
↳ pairing: steve rogers x reader
Tumblr media
hold on, nonnie, you might be onto something (nsfw ahead):
tony overhears steve talking about how much he needs a vacation because work has really been stressing him out lately
he’s been on ten missions in the past month and a half and frankly, the two of you are exhausted because having to work and take care of a very energetic child alone has really taken its toll on you
so tony offers up his beach house in florida so that the two of you can spend a long weekend alone with no interruptions
saying goodbye to your son miles was hard - he’s never spent more than a few days away from his parents in a situation where they weren’t just a couple miles away from him
“mama, daddy,” miles sniffles into steve’s shirt, both of his little arms around your necks while you carry him, “do you have to go?”
“sweetheart, it’ll just be for a couple of days,” steve soothes him, smoothing a hand over his unruly hair, tied up with a rainbow ponytail holder that morgan gave him because he refuses to let you cut it and it’s getting so long because it grows so fast
(also, he likes the way it looks when it’s long: “mama, can you braid my hair like auntie shuri or auntie nat?”)
“but- but,” he stutters and you anticipate another wave of sobs so you shoot steve an uncertain look, your heart sinking because you want to go but you hate seeing your son like this
“baby,” you say softly, coaxing him to look up and you coo at the tears in his eyes and the ones that spill onto his chubby cheeks, “we’ll be back before you know it. and you know what?”
“what?” miles mumbles, the cutest pout on his face as his pretty blue eyes stare into yours
“you’ve gotta be a big, brave boy for mommy and daddy,” you nod encouragingly, giving him a gentle smile as steve rubs a hand up and down his back. “can you do that for us, miles?”
there’s a beat before he nods, still pouting, and you can’t help but press your lips to the crown of his head, fighting back tears of your own because you love him so much and hate to leave him
“and just think about how much fun you’re gonna have with uncle bucky and uncle sam, buddy,” steve adds, bouncing miles on his hip
miles visibly perks up and his gap-toothed smile eases your concerns a little as he claps his hands excitedly
“uncle ‘ucky said we can go to the beach and build sandcastles and then uncle sammy said we can go see auntie nat and then...”
steve shoots you a wink, listening attentively to his son with wide-eyed excitement and plenty of practiced “no way!”’s and “that’s crazy!”’s as he walks outside to the car to buckle him in
once you’ve dropped your son off (he didn’t even look back as he ran into sam’s arms after giving bucky a hug too), you head to the airport where tony’s private jet is waiting
when you’re in the air, you’re obviously freaking out a little and steve grabs onto your hand and kisses the back of it with a smile
“he’s gonna be just fine, doll. everything’s gonna be fine.”
and it is: tony’s beach house is beautiful and you love how carefree you feel, basking indulgently in the unlimited affection you get from your husband as well as the warm rays of the sun
your first day and night are full of shared kisses, the both of you taking the time to rediscover each other’s bodies again because you haven’t had the time to
“oh my god, baby, you taste so fuckin’ good,” steve moans as he buries his face back in your core, tongue teasing the folds as his thumb rubs at your clit mercilessly
you fist his hair and tug, knowing that he likes the sharp mix of the pain and the pleasure associated with it
when his teeth nip the inside of your thigh, you squeal loudly, grinning as he reprimands you with a smile on his face: “naughty little girl.”
but it’s the middle of the night on your second day and steve has you on top of him in your softly lit bedroom, slapping your ass in encouragement as you bounce up and down on his hard length
“that’s it, doll baby, take this cock,” he grumbles, hands flying to your hips to increase your pace as he matches your thrusts
your hands are braced on his chest and you’re so close to the edge, working yourself over and you can feel the coil in your stomach tighten when you hear the facetime ringtone sound from your phone
you pause momentarily until steve spanks you again: “didn’t tell you to stop, pretty girl.”
“but the phone-”
“ignore it,” he commands, driving up into you extra hard and you shudder, his hips slamming into your clit
and so you do, until it cuts off and rings again which makes steve throw his head back in frustration because he’s also so close
“stevie, what if it’s an emergency-”
“answer it,” he groans, hands coming up to run over his face in a way that reminds you so much of miles
“thank you,” you bend down to kiss his lips and then slide off of him carefully, grabbing his shirt from the floor and pulling it over your head haphazardly before grabbing your phone
the caller id says ‘buckaroo’ and you frown because why would bucky be calling you this late if something wasn’t wrong?
immediately, you pick up and your frown deepens at the flustered look on bucky’s face
“buck, what’s wrong?” you sit back on your bed inbetween steve’s open legs (he’s pulled his underwear back on begrudgingly but his scowl melts when he sees his best friend on the screen)
there’s a loud wailing in the back couples with the deep timbre of sam’s voice that makes your heart lurch because you know instantaneously that it’s miles
“bucky, what happened to him?” you sound frantic and steve rubs his hands up and down your arms although you can feel his heart pounding against your back
“he’s,” bucky huffs, running a hand through his hair as he walks closer to the noise, “he hasn’t stopped cryin’ for the past two hours. sam n’ i have been tryin’ to get him to calm down but he- he really wanted to see you guys. told us he wanted to go home and...”
“s’okay, buck,” steve tells him, “you tried your best. you can give him the phone.”
there’s some unclear talking and then some shifting of the camera before your baby’s face pops up on the screen, eyelashes glistening with tears and his cheeks wet and he’s gasping breathlessly from all the screaming
“baby boy,” you coo, blinking back the pricking of your eyes because you’re heartbroken at the sight of your tearful son
“mama!” he wails, hand grabbing fruitlessly at the screen. you angle the camera so that he can see his daddy too, steve’s chin resting on your shoulder
“daddy!” he smiles sadly, smacking bucky’s phone and then frowning when he realizes that he can’t access the two of you
“what’s goin’ on, bubba?” steve says, getting a little choked up too because your son doesn’t usually cry like this. “why’re you cryin’, baby?”
“i-i,” he sniffs loudly, looking up at bucky briefly before staring at you guys again, “i miss you daddy, mama too. w-wh-when are you coming back?”
“oh, honey,” your hand flies to your chest, “we miss you too. but i thought you were gonna be a big, brave boy for mommy and daddy?”
“i tried, mama!” he exclaims, wiping at his face in frustration. “but i can’t!”
“yes you can, sweetie,” steve soothes him. “s’not like you to give up so easy. you were doing so good and we’ve only got a couple of days left. we’ll be back the day after tomorrow, how’s that sound?”
“too long,” your son’s bottom lip quivers and you know he’s about to cry again so you’re quick to jump in
“how about this, baby,” you suggest, “we’ll come back first thing tomorrow and be right there with you when you wake up-”
“yes, mama!”
“-if,” you warn him and the bright smile on his face dims, “if you be a big boy for us just for tonight and let uncle sam and bucky read you a bedtime story so you can head to bed, hmm?”
miles stops to think about it, glancing at his uncles who flank his sides, and then back at you, nodding reluctantly
“thank you, buddy,” steve smiles at him and miles returns it with a smile of his own albeit watery. “now, what do you say to uncle bucky and uncle sam?”
the camera drops abruptly and you’re both staring at the ceiling while you hear a very polite: “i’m sorry, uncle sammy! m’sorry, uncle ‘ucky!”
“you’re such a smart boy, baby,” you praise him when he picks the phone back up. “we’ll be back in the morning, m’kay?”
“‘kay, mama.”
“we love you, okay, sweetheart?” steve grins at him
“love you too daddy. love you mama.”
“love you so much, honey - we’ll see you tomorrow,” you both blow kisses at him until he giggles and he waves eagerly, trying to blow his own kisses back at you until he hangs up
and so you change your flight back to early in the morning, heading back to new york early so that you can see your son
once you knock on bucky’s door, the door opens and you two walk quietly into the apartment, giving both bucky and sam hugs before sneaking into the room where miles sleeps
you grin at the sight of a head of hair splayed out on the pillow, soft snores coming from where his small body rises and falls underneath the covers off this too-big guest room bed
the two of you sit on his side of the bed and steve runs his hand through his hair to wake him up, gently placing a hand on his shoulder
“miles, sweetie,” you say and your son stirs, rubbing at his eyes sleepily with tiny fists
“mama?” his voice is groggy and his eyes glazed over but a drowsy smile stretches across his face still. “daddy?”
“hey, honey,” steve smiles as miles throws himself into his body. steve cups his head softly and rocks him back and forth
“missed you,” miles turns to you and presses a lazy kiss to your cheek
“we missed you too, bubba,” steve smiles
“sorry for-” he yawns, obviously still tired, “sorry for makin’ you come back.”
“hey, don’t apologize,” you reassure him. “we were missing you too - so much.”
“good,” miles’ eyes close and he pulls both of you back down onto the bed with him. “can you stay?”
“course we can.”
steve is the first to kick his shoes off and crawl underneath the covers with miles, pulling him onto his chest and your son automatically curls into him, face buried in his father’s neck
you soon follow suit, taking your shoes off and cuddling next to him, your son squished happily in between you guys
he’s quickly back asleep, your finger grasped in his fist while he sucks on his thumb
you don’t even bother to pull it out of his mouth, letting him have this one because you know it’s been a hard night for him
“babe,” steve whispers and you blink your eyes open, on the verge of sleep yourself
“yeah?”
“d’you think we could sneak out of here for a quickie in the bathroom? you know, finish what we didn’t get to last night-”
“steve, you are so annoying. shut up and go to sleep, dummy.”
excuse me i love it

How can something go so wrong so fast?
Christopher was casually sitting in his chair frustrated as he tried to write out what he wanted to say on the paper in front of him. It was his free time and class and he wanted to use it to write something down that he has been meaning to ask. Yet, he was getting frustrated with how he wanted to say it on the paper. He sighed in frustration before crumbling up the paper. He then grabbed another piece from his desk and tried to write it out again. As he wrote his teacher could tell he was frustrated with what he was wanting to say. She walked up to him determined to help him out. Christopher was one of her more independent students that were determined to do anything that he puts his mind to. He was a caring person and wasn’t easily frustrated so when she saw him become frustrated she became curious more and more as she continued to walk up to him. She bent down to his level to be able to talk more privately to him.
“Hello, Christopher. I couldn't help but notice you needed help with something.” She said in her sweetest voice she could muster. She noticed him continuing looking at his paper instead of looking up at her.
“I need help with trying to figure out what to say.” He said in a low voice almost as if he was trying to hide the fact he wanted to cry. She frowned.
“Well, what is it that you are trying to write? I do have a way with words, maybe I can help you out.” She said smiling to him. He looked up with a new determined look that screamed thank you. He took a deep breath calming himself back down before answering her in a low tone as he was trying to keep it between both her and him.
“Recently Buck and Daddy got married and I wanted to ask Buck if he would adopt me. Since he is already like my dad, I wanted to make it official and have their last name and all. That way we were more of a family than what we are now.” Her smile widens even more as her heart swell with happiness. Any of the teachers could tell that Buck and Eddie were in love and when they announced they were officially dating they only knew that they were going to get married any time now.
“Oh that sounds fantastic I think he would love to. Now how about I help you with the note so you can ask him in the nicest way possible.” She said as she grabbed a pencil and started to write on a lined paper for him. That way he was able to put it into a nice card that he always seems to be making.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christopher laughed as he sat at the lunch table with his friends. The card resting neatly in his backpack on his back. He was having lunch now before recess then his final class which was his favorite Art. He continued to eat as he talked amongst his friends. Oblivious to what was about to happen. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see a tall man, about the same height as his Dad and Buck, walk into the room. A glistening object in his hand. Suddenly a loud bang filled the cafeteria making the children panic. Another one sounded off and Christopher could only do what he could think of and dove under the table as fast as he could. Covering his ears and bringing his knees up to his chest. Burying his face into his knees. Hoping his dads would show up with Aunt Athena and Aunt Hen and Uncle Chimney and Aunt Maddie and Uncle Bobby to save him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a normal day in the fire station 118. There hasn't been any calls yet. So they all sat bored out of their minds around the station. Buck and Eddie sat on the couch cuddled up together watching videos of Christopher on Eddie’s phone. Fingers laced together as they leaned in together.
“Well you have certainly raised an amazing kid Mr. Buckley-Diaz,” Buck said as he looked loving into Eddie’s eyes.
“Well you have helped Mr. Buckley-Diaz,” Eddie said as he softly kissed Buck. A gagging sound made them broke apart. They turned around to see Hen and Chimney making gagging sounds as Bobby was making food in the kitchen. Buck frowned at them.
“Get a room you two! I don't wanna see it anymore. It was cute the first two days you were married it isn't anymore!” Yelled Hen as she turned in the barstool to face Bobby once more. Eddie laughed at the face Buck was making towards Hen. Suddenly bells started to ring throughout the station signaling that there was an emergency. They all jumped up before getting into their gear and piling into the truck.
As they drove, Buck started to realize it was the same way that he takes to pick up Christopher from school when he got off shift. He turned to Eddie with a frightened look. One look at his husband's face said it all to Eddie, he wasn't the only one that noticed it was the way to his only child's school where he was currently.
“Cap, where is this emergency at exactly?” He called into the headset in a panicked tone. Bobby turned to him with a confused look.
“558 Sunset Ave. Why do you know the address?” He called out. Buck and Eddie went white in the face as panic filled their features. It started to worry Bobby more as he noticed that not only Eddie knew the address but Buck did as well.
“Its Christopher's school address. Oh my God, Christopher is at school right now!” Yelled Buck as he reached out for Eddies’s arm. Eddie latched onto Buck as soon as he grabbed onto him. Bobby’s expression darkens before turning to the driver telling him to drive faster. They needed to get there now before anything bad were to happen.
“Dispatch this is Captain Nash. I need to know what is going on at that address you called us to.” He called into the walkie talkie. He was so hoping it was a fake emergency and that there was nothing wrong with one of his grandchildren. He might not be related by blood but he was a son to Buck who in return was like a son to Bobby. So that made Christopher his grandson.
“Captain Nash this is Dispatch. It seems like it is a school shooting. Police are already on the scene.” He heard a female voice call out as he pulled up to the school that they all knew too well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Once parked the firefighters and EMTs of Station 118 jumped out of the truck. Bobby automatically went up to Athena who was already on the scene before they were to even get there. He quickly hugged her before asking what is going on and where do they need them.
“The shooter is already in custody. Luckily no one got shot or hurt for the most part. There are some small injuries from kids trying to get out of the cafeteria where it happened. So I need Hen and Chimney to go and see if they need any help with those they rest of you are needed for crowd control. We don't want anyone wandering off.” She said before kissing him on the cheek and turning back to her officers.
Bobby walked back to his team. Noting that Buck and Eddie were pacing back and forth and they waited for news about what is going on. Bobby didn't blame them if it was May or Harry he would be doing the same.
“Okay, the shooter is in custody. Hen and Chimney make sure people are alright the rest of us are here for crowd control. Let’s move it, people.” He said before he walked up to the boys who were in the most panic; He placed a hand on their shoulders offering some peace towards them.
“Go find your son.” he simply said before they were running off towards the kids that were already gathered around. Buck slightly behind Eddie.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christopher just wanted to see his Dad and Buck. Luckily the police officers came in when they did otherwise he probably would have been hurt. He was carried out to the lawn where all the other kids were at by a police officer. They sat him down next to the big oak tree were someone would always pick him up. He sighed as he noticed his backpack on. He took it off looking at the cool picture on the front of it. It was a fire truck with two firefighters grabbing a hose and running off. He likes to think it was his Dad and Buck that was on his bag. He sat it gently next to him before making sure that the card was still in his bag. He smiled as he noticed it still there. He sat down and waited for his parents to come and get him. He noticed that other parents were coming and grabbing their children. Hugging and kissing them as though they were gone for a while. Tears started to fall as he realizes how much he wanted his Dads to be here. He looked down at his hands as he knew it might be a few as his parents were at work. What he wasn't expecting was his name to be heard. He quickly looked up to see his Dad with Buck shortly behind him running towards him calling his name. Christopher quickly stood up the best he could without his crutches. They laid somewhere in the cafeteria as he abandoned them when the nice officers picked him up. He raised his arms before quickly being picked up.
“Mijo! I am so glad you are okay thank God!” Eddie said as he wrapped his arms tighter around his son not wanting to let go. Christopher simply wrapped his arms around his neck as he buried his face into his shoulders. All while wrapping his legs around his dad the best he could. He didn't want to let go. They both felt Buck simply wrap them both into a hug wanting to shield his family away from harm. Eddie leaned back wanting to look at Christopher better.
“You are okay right Chris?” Eddie said as he looked him over for the third time. Christopher nodded before really realizing that both of the adults were crying. He quickly wiped away his tears before wiping both his fathers as well. Making them giggle as he did. He then realized he should give his card to Buck as he didn't know when else he would be able to. He quickly reached for his bag before grabbing the card and handing it gently to Buck. After Buck took the card he buried his blushing face into Eddie’s chest.
Buck looked at the card that was given to him. His heart swelled as he read it. On the front, it read ‘To Buck’ in big colorful letters. He opened and gasped on the inside read ‘Dear Buck I love you so much. Will you adopt me? PLEASE!’. He looked up at Christopher with tears.
“You want me to adopt you kid?” He said as he placed the card down and grabbed Christopher from his dad. Christopher nodded smiling as he couldn't find any more words to say. This was all shocking towards Eddie. He didn't know his only son wanted the love of his life to adopt him and to have him officially as his other dad. Even though Buck already acted like it. This made him even happier that Chirs thought Buck that way. Buck laughed as he grabbed both his husband and Christopher into a hug.
“I would gladly adopt you Chris!” he quickly said as he buried his head next to theirs.

The Spell
A/N: I have one more final tomorrow and then I’m done with my sophomore year of college! Let’s do this!
This was a request by @candyyyyssss and you can see the request/prompt here.
Warnings: There’s some talk of a child’s death in here, so that might dissuade some people. There’s no real pairing in this, but there are some hints of Destiel undertones.
Characters: Sam, Dean, Cas
Word Count: 4587
My Masterlist
“Dean?” Sam groans, blinking back spits as he lifted his head slowly.
His body aches, and he feels everything sway for a moment. He feels like he’s been through a hurricane, and he knows that that’s blood trickling down his forehead.
He glances up to the wall he’s been slammed against, and he sees a large dent in it, as well as shattered picture frames and glass littering the floor by his head.
“Dean? Cas?” he calls again, struggling to push himself into a sitting position.
Sam looks over and sees his brother, or at least... His brother’s clothes.
He blinks, thinking that maybe he smacked his head harder against the wall than he thought.
It’s still... Dean’s clothes.
His gaze trails to where Cas had been, and a similar picture paints itself in his eyes.
A long trench coat and tie, and no sign of the angel.
Sam struggles to his feet, looking around the room for any sign of his brother or the witch they’d been hunting.
He puts his hand on his gun, taking a steadying breath as he ventured out into the hallway warily.
“Do not trip over me,” a voice says, and Sam instantly aims for the floor where the voice was.
Instead of a full sized person, like he’d been expecting, he finds a toddler with bright blue eyes peering up at him.
“Wh—“ Sam looks around, then back to the toddler, sitting buck naked except for a shirt that was nearly three times too large. “Did you just... speak?”
“Yes, that is what it’s called,” the toddler returns, and Sam swallows, recognizing the voice.
“Cas?” he whispers, looking around.
Had he hit his head that hard? Was he dreaming?
“Yes, Sam,” the toddler responds, standing up and only reaching about waist high on Sam. “It seems the witch has cast a spell upon us.”
“Us?” Sam remarks, looking around. “Don’t tell me—“
“Dean wandered off into the kitchen,” Cas states. “He, too, is small.”
“Small isn’t... isn’t the word I’d use,” Sam says slowly, walking down the hall toward where he heard some commotion. “Dean?”
He peers through the doorway, ready to shoot anything that might be in the kitchen, but his gaze only lands on another toddler, this one with a dusting of brown hair and big green eyes turned his way.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Sam exhales, cocking his head to the side as the toddler peered at him curiously.
“Huh?” the child says in a small voice.
“Dean,” Sam calls, and the toddler perks up at the name.
“Dean!” he chimes happily, pointing to himself. “I’m Dean!”
Sam feels a weight against his leg, and he finds Cas poking around him to look into the room at Dean.
“Dean appears to be under the influence of this spell as well,” Cas murmurs.
“Yeah, but...” Sam walks toward his brother, who is now intently staring at Castiel. “Dean, can you talk?”
“I’m Dean!” he points to himself again. “What’s yours?”
“He doesn’t appear to know who you are,” Cas remarks in a thoughtful tone.
“I’m Sam, your little brother,” Sam tells Dean, who squints his eyes at him and then starts to laugh.
“You biiiiiiig brother!” Dean says, and Sam runs a hand through his hair.
“Yeah, um...” Sam trails off, looking over to Cas. “I don’t think he’s like you. I think he’s a toddler in body and mind.”
“It would make sense that my angelic capabilities would send the witch’s spell awry,” Cas states, rubbing his forehead with chubby fingers. “The witch isn’t here anymore. We need to find her to reverse this spell.”
“Yeah...” Sam looks back to his brother, who is once again staring at Cas. “Let’s... Let’s get back to the hotel and get this figured out.”
Sam tucks his gun away and walks toward his naked brother, who eyes him skeptically.
When Sam moves to pick him up, he cries out and rushes on little legs to where Cas is.
“No no!” Dean says, hiding behind Cas.
“Dean, we’ve gotta get back to the hotel so when can get you back to normal,” Sam tells his brother, who looks over Cas’ shoulder.
“Yes, Dean, it would appear that that is the best course of action,” Cas says, and Dean looks at him.
Dean takes a deep breath and then looks back to Sam, a small pout on his face.
“Fine,” he huffs, and Sam exhales in relief.
“I’m going to get your clothes. Cas, can you take him out to the Impala?” Sam asks the angel, and he nods.
Cas and Dean head off for the car as Sam collects their clothes and guns. When he makes it out to the car, he tosses Dean’s shirt at him to put on before loading things into the trunk.
He finds the keys in a pocket of Dean’s jeans, and soon enough they’re on the road back to the hotel.
Sam watches the two small children in the backseat, wondering if this could be classified as the strangest thing to happen to them.
When he makes it back to the hotel, the two of them follow him in, and he closes and locks the door before anyone notices them.
“God, what are we going to do?” Sam breathes. “We have to find that witch.”
“I think we have other needs before that, Sam,” Cas says, holding up his arms so that Sam can see the huge shirt. “Dean will need food, as well.”
Sam sits down on the edge of the bed and places his head in his hands. After a few moments, he looks up, only to see Dean pulling a knife from his bag.
“No!” he yells, lurching for his brother to take the dangerous weapon away.
Dean looks up at him, startled as his brother takes the sharp object from his hands.
“Mine!” Dean yells, and Sam exhales in relief as he places it out of Dean’s reach. “Mine, Sammy!”
“No, it’s not yours,” he says, watching as his brother huffed grumpily. Dean goes looking for something else to play with, and Sam watches him warily. “So, I guess the first stop is the grocery store.”
“That sounds acceptable,” Cas remarks, nodding.
“Come on, Dean,” Sam sighs. “Let’s get you some new clothes and some food.”
“No! You’re mean!” Dean pouts, crouching down in the corner.
“Because I wouldn’t let you kill yourself?” Sam retorts, and then he realizes he’s already lost because he’s arguing with a toddler. “Cas?”
“Dean, we should go with your brother,” Cas says, and Dean looks over at the angel, pouting.
“He’s mean,” Dean protests, frowning deeply.
“Sam is just trying to keep you from hurting yourself,” Cas tells him. He looks into Cas’ blues for a moment before sighing a big sigh.
“You go with me?” Dean asks, looking at Cas curiously.
“We will all be going to the grocery store, yes,” Cas nods, and Dean sighs again.
“Okay,” Dean finally whispers, walking from the corner over to Cas. He gives Sam a wicked stink eye as he walks by, and Sam groans.
“Okay, so...” Sam grabs the keys once more, and once he gets the two boys buckled in the back seat, he drives to the nearest supermarket he can find.
He realizes the mistake in bringing them as soon as he walks in and faces the curious stares of the other customers there.
He grabs one hand in each of his own and speeds them back to the toddler section for clothes, practically dragging Dean from looking at all the shiny things he sees.
“How sweet!” a woman comments to Sam, squatting down to wave at Cas. “And how old are you, little man?”
“My body has aged three years,” Cas tells her, and she flinches slightly.
“W-Wow,” she looks up at Sam quickly. “And how did you learn to talk so well?”
“I have been speaking for many years,” Cas answers, and she gives a nervous smile.
“Well,” she nods at him and stands up, offering Sam a strange look before pushing her stroller away quickly.
“Cas, you can’t talk like that,” Sam tells him in a low voice.
“I am speaking the way that I always do,” Cas returns, and Sam nervously smiles at another lady walking by before turning his attention back to the angel.
“Yeah, but... You said you’re what, three?” Sam returns. “You should talk like a three year old.”
“So I should speak the same way that Dean does?” he gestures to Dean, who is currently picking at the reflective paint on one of the clothes stands.
“Just... don’t creep people out,” Sam finally says. “We don’t want attention drawn to us.”
“I understand,” he nods at Sam, then looks over as Dean presses a small piece of the reflective material into his hand.
“Present!” Dean chirps to him, smiling big.
“Um... Thank you, Dean,” Cas says, squinting down at the reflective piece. “It’s very... Shiny.”
“Pretty!” Dean nods. “Pretty like you!”
“That is very kind,” Cas nods, and Sam watches the interaction for a moment before deciding that he has more important matters at hand.
He picks out several sets of clothes for the two children, not sure how long they would be like this.
“I’m hungry!” Dean pouts after a while, and Sam looks down at him.
“We’ll get some food in just a minute,” he says. “Now let me see your foot, I need to know what size shoes to get you.”
Sam scoops his brother up and grabs Cas’ hand, not wanting to look like an irresponsible parent just leaving him behind. He leads them toward the shoes, passing by some people that give him small smiles.
Another woman is in the shoe aisle, and Sam offers her a smile.
“That shirt sure is big on you, huh?” she asks Cas. “Is that your Daddy’s shirt?”
“No, it is my own,” Cas looks down to his chest, and Sam gives him a look.
“Oh, wow,” she looks up to Sam. “He’s very well spoken. How old?”
“Three,” Sam smiles at her, coming up with something on the fly. “And they didn’t want to put on clothes to go out. I couldn’t get this one to stop crying unless he went out like this.”
He gestures to Dean, who looks at the woman and blinks, flashing her a smile.
“Oh, yes. Those tantrums can be terrible to deal with,” she ruffles Dean’s hair. “But you’re such a cutie pie!”
“I like pie!” Dean brightens. “Sammy, I like pie!”
“Oh, now look what I’ve started,” the woman covers her mouth. “I should be going. Good luck with your two little ones!”
“Thank you,” Sam calls, deciding not to correct her and waste his breath. As soon as she’s gone, the facade falls. “We need to get you two shoes and leave.”
He finds a little pair of boots that fit his brother and gets a matching pair for Cas, then carries the small basket toward the front of the store.
“Sammy, I’m hungry!” Dean repeats, and he sighs heavily.
“We’re gonna eat soon,” he tells his brother, waiting in line behind a woman. She turns at the sound, smiling at Dean.
Here we go again, Sam thinks.
“Look at those eyes!” she makes a face at Dean, and he smiles back before the candy catches his eye.
“Sammy! Candy!” he holds onto Sam’s arm and reaches for the candy, but Sam pulls him away.
“No candy,” Sam says, flashing an awkward smile the woman’s way.
“He sure is a cutie,” the woman says easily. “Are they twins?”
“No,” Sam returns, and he looks down at Cas as if to make sure he’s still there. “They’re cousins.”
“Oh,” she nods, placing her things on the conveyor. “Did they get into a mess they weren’t supposed to?”
She gestures to the clothes in his basket, and he laughs slightly.
“Actually, we just got in from the airport,” Sam remarks. “Luggage got lost, and then this one spilled some milk all over the two of them.”
“Poor things,” she smiles down Cas’ way. “Well, you’ve got a lovely Daddy looking out for you.”
“Oh, no—“ Sam says before he can stop himself. The woman looks up at him, and he feels his cheeks flush. “He’s uh... my brother.”
“Oh,” her eyebrows lift. “He must have been quite the accident.”
Sam can’t help but laugh at that.
“Oh, there was an accident all right,” he says in a low voice, and the woman laughs before going to pay.
“Sammy!” Dean reaches for the candy again.
“Fine!” he sighs, already tired of dealing with his brother like this.
How did Mom and Dad do it?
“Cas, can you get Dean a candy?” Sam asks the angel. “If I put him down he’s gonna ruin everything.”
“Dean, what candy would you like?” Cas asks, and Dean looks down at him, smiling shyly.
“You pick,” Dean says, and Cas looks up to Sam curiously.
“Just get him something, I’m sure he won’t mind,” Sam shakes his head, setting his items on the conveyor.
The woman in front of him finishes her transaction and bids them goodbye, and Sam smiles at the cashier, getting ready to spout off a new lie.
The man doesn’t say anything, and Cas tiptoes to place a candy bar on the conveyor.
“Is that all?” the younger man sighs.
“Thank you,” Sam sighs in relief. “That’s all.”
“That’ll be seventy three eighteen,” the cashier drawls.
Sam looks at the bags in disgust. Why did kids clothes cost so much?
He swipes his card anyway, and finally he’s on his way out the door.
Cas carries one bag as Sam carries the rest and his brother, who lays his head on Sam’s shoulder while looking down at Cas.
Sam gets them into the car and starts his drive for the hotel.
“Sam, were you going to get Dean some food?” Cas asks, and Sam looks in the rear view mirror.
“I was going to order a pizza to be delivered to the hotel,” Sam tells him, keeping his attention on the road, especially since he didn’t have booster seats.
“Pizza!” Dean chirps excitedly.
Sam doesn’t have the energy to respond, and when they finally pull into the motel parking lot, he gets them inside and orders a pizza.
Dean wants to play, and Sam finds a little notebook and a pen for him to doodle with. He turns on the TV to some kid’s cartoon and cracks open his laptop, going for some research while Dean was distracted.
He doesn’t find much before the pizza man comes by, and he drops a few bills in the man’s hands.
He sets the pizza on the table and lets Dean have a go at it, stealing only a piece for himself.
“Cas, you should eat, too,” Sam tells him. “We don’t know what that spell might have done to your vessel, we shouldn’t take any chances.”
“That is a reasonable deduction,” Cas remarks, and he climbs into the chair across from Dean and takes a piece to eat.
“Want more?” Dean offers Cas his piece, and the angel smiles slightly.
“You should eat your piece, Dean. You need sustenance more than I,” Cas says, and Dean cocks his head to the side curiously.
Sam works on what he knows best, researching a cure for this predicament.
He takes the time to dress Dean in clothes to sleep in, and only after he settles in the motel bed does Sam go to take a shower.
He takes one of the fastest showers of his life, and when he makes it out of the bathroom, he finds Dean nearly dozing on the bed with Cas.
Checking the clock and seeing how late it is, Sam turns off the lights and the TV, rubbing his tired eyes.
“We’ll pick this up in the morning,” he sighs, looking over toward Cas. “The witch can’t go too far, not with how Dean injured her before all of this happened.”
“Yes, I understand,” Cas looks at him and nods, and Sam tiredly rubs his forehead.
Sam climbs into his motel bed, sighing heavily.
He needed to get this figured out soon—he didn’t know how much longer he could deal with his brother as a three year old.
He stares up at the ceiling as he tries to remember what had happened, but all that greets him is a wall of black.
Dean had shot the witch, but it hadn’t been fatal, and then she’d flung Sam across the room. And then... Black. And the next thing he remembered was finding the two of them like this.
“Sammy?” Dean’s voice is small, quiet.
“Yeah, Dean?” he looks over to where his brother was laying on the other bed, and he sees green eyes peering back at him.
“‘M scared,” he says in that same small voice, and Sam sits up a little.
“There’s nothing here, Dean,” Sam tells him tiredly. “The door is locked.”
His brother looks to the door for a moment and then lays back down slowly, a frown etched on his face.
Sam starts to doze off when he hears the sound of one of them climbing out of bed. He doesn’t bother, knowing that Dean isn’t tall enough to reach the lock on the door, and that Cas wouldn’t go out in the middle of the night.
When little hands grab his bed and pull themselves up, he looks down to see his brother climbing into the bed with him.
Dean tucks into his side, his head laying on Sam’s chest so that he can watch the door.
“You okay?” Sam asks softly, and Dean nods his little head.
Sam has to smile a little, remembering when he would do just the same with his big brother.
He remembered being left alone, not seeing his father for weeks on end and having only Dean to look after him.
He sighs softly in remembrance and lowers his hand to Dean’s back, patting it gently before closing his eyes.
In minutes, Dean is asleep on him, and Sam drifts off to the sound of soft snores.
When he wakes, Sam finds that his brother is still dozing, and he almost smiles down at his little face. After carefully maneuvering his brother off of him, Sam returns to his research.
An hour or so passes before he finds an answer, one that he should’ve expected. He just has to find and kill the witch that cast the spell and things should revert back to the way they were.
Which meant no more toddlers to watch after.
There doesn’t seem to be any other answer, and he groans to himself as he realizes he has to come up with a plan to kill her himself.
Sam rubs his forehead and pulls up a map of the city, trying to figure out where the witch could’ve gone.
He narrows it down to three places by the time Dean wakes up, and he sits back in his chair, trying to figure out how he would take out a witch without leaving Cas or Dean in any danger.
“I’m hungry,” Dean calls, rubbing his eyes sleepily.
“We can get some food on the road,” Sam tells him, and Dean looks over at Cas.
“I’m hungry!” he repeats, this time to Cas, who looks at him curiously.
“I do still have that chocolate bar from the store,” Cas tells him, and Dean’s eyes brighten.
“I like candy!” Dean tells him, and Cas looks to San for approval.
“No,” Sam says, still feeling somewhat responsible for his brother and making sure he didn’t start the day with a candy bar for breakfast. “You can have that later.”
“I want it, Sammy!” Dean pouts, flashing a pleading look to his brother.
“No,” Sam repeats, getting up to collect his phone. “We can grab something on the way.”
Sam ignores the way his brother crosses his arms over his chest and sits down on the floor, having a little tantrum.
“So, Cas,” Sam looks to the other toddler. “Can you handle Dean while I go kill the witch? I don’t want to take him with me.”
“Yes, I can look over him,” Cas agrees. “But we should travel with you to the witch. Dean will likely want to know what has occurred.”
“Fine,” Sam finally exhales, wanting to get this nightmare over with. “Come on, then.”
Sam packs their things in the car and then they’re headed for the witch.
“I’m hungry,” Dean is still pouting, and Sam has to keep from rolling his eyes. He pulls into a little diner and gets Dean some pancakes and bacon for breakfast and a coffee for himself.
“The little guy doesn’t want anything?” the waitress asks, looking over to Cas as they sit in a small booth.
“I suppose some type of beverage would be acceptable,” he says, and the waitress blinks in surprise.
“Chocolate milk!” Dean says, and Cas looks at him curiously for a moment.
“Yes, chocolate milk is a reasonable beverage,” Cas looks up to the woman. “I’ll have some.”
“O-kay,” she says, shooting a glance to Sam, but he just smiles at her tiredly. She makes her way to the back to put in the order for pancakes and bacon, glancing back at their table once.
Sam rubs his temples as Dean plays with the straw on his milk, and he wishes the service were faster.
When the pancakes and bacon finally come out, Sam watches his brother devour the bacon in just under two minutes flat. Dean offers some of his food to Cas, but none to Sam.
Sam just shakes his head and pays for the meal once Dean is done, and then they’re finally, finally on the way to the witch.
Sam leaves Cas and Dean in the back seat, tucking his gun carefully into his jacket.
He takes a deep breath and creeps into the old abandoned building, wary of creaky steps that could give away his position.
The first floor is empty, and as he heads for the stairs, a picture catches his eye.
It’s a woman and her daughter, only a toddler as she sits on the woman’s lap with a huge grin on her face.
Everything makes sense to him.
Dean had told him that the case had been technically dealt with, but they both had a bad feeling so they’d come to check it out. The hunter that told them about it said that he’d killed the witch that was causing trouble in the town, that everything was fine and they were wasting a trip.
“That’s some hard stuff, that town,” he’d told Sam. “But I dealt with it.”
He hadn’t dealt with it. He’d only made it so much worse.
Sam swallows and walks up the stairs, gun ready.
More pictures for the walls, all of this mother and her daughter.
Sam has to look away from them all, realizing what the hunter had done.
At the top of the steps, he sees a glow from one of the rooms, and he knows he doesn’t have to waste any more time looking.
He steels himself and then bursts through, but the witch is waiting for him.
It’s the woman from the pictures, Sam already knows.
“I don’t want to kill you,” Sam says slowly, and she snarls at him.
“I spared your life once, I will not do it again!” she tells him, and he holds his gun ready.
“Just turn my brother and Cas back to normal and we’ll let you live,” he tries to bargain.
“Why should I grant you mercy when you would not grant it to me? To my daughter?” she roars, and Sam flinches.
“That hunter was wrong,” he shakes his head. “We don’t kill children.”
“He did!” she shrieks. “He killed my only child.”
“That was wrong of him,” Sam says slowly.
“I begged him,” she screeches. “I begged him not to hurt her. She couldn’t even control her magic yet!”
“She’s what was causing the things around town,” Sam says, and the woman’s eyes well with tears. “Not you.”
“She was helpless against him,” the woman shakes her head. “She did nothing! She didn’t deserve what he did to her!”
“She didn’t,” Sam agrees. “But can you see two more children get murdered because of that spell? My brother and Cas will die if you don’t turn him back.”
“Then it’s two less hunters that I have to worry about!” she yells. “Does they feel weak? Are they as helpless as my daughter was when your friend killed her?”
Sam can tell that there is no sense left in this woman, there was no use in trying to bargain any longer.
He aims and fires, but she moves before the bullet hits her, and face carving into a feral snark toward him.
The fight between them is brutal as she flings furniture his way and tosses him about like a rag doll.
He lands a bullet to her side and she goes down, gasping in pain as Sam gets up.
“I’m sorry,” he says as he puts a bullet between her eyes. His stomach is sick as he walks out of the house, thinking about how a hunter had murdered a child with no remorse.
When he makes it to the impala, Dean is standing there looking at him.
“You left me with him!” Dean yells, and Sam grunts as he drops his gun in the trunk. “You went to fight the with yourself!”
“Yeah, I couldn’t exactly take you or Cas with me!” Sam returns, slamming the trunk.
“You should’ve waited for me to wake up!” Dean tells his brother.
“Wake up?” Sam scoffs. “Dean, what’s the last thing you remember?”
“I shot the bitch and she threw you against the wall,” Dean answers him. “Did something happen while I was out or something?”
Sam looks to Cas, who is also in his older form. He looks back to Dean.
“You were a three year old,” Sam finally says. “You and Cas both.”
“A three year old?” Dean blanches. “Why in the hell did she turn me into a kid?”
“It’s a long story,” Sam sighs. “Let’s just... just get headed back to the bunker.”
“Yeah,” Dean says, noticing his brother was hiding something.
They climb into the car, and Sam looks at the house for a moment.
“You remember the hunter that told us about this case?” Sam finally says as Dean starts on the road. “Dillon? Derek?”
“Daniel,” Dean says, looking over at his brother. “Why? What’s up?”
“Just trying to remember who it was,” Sam shakes his head. “Hope we see him again.”
He fidgets with the knife on his belt for a moment.
“You’re not one to say I told you so, Sam,” Cas remarks, and Sam looks back to the angel.
“I just need a few minutes with him,” Sam remarks. “Want to talk to him about this case.”
“I think he was headed for Montana when we left him,” Dean states. “Probably won’t see him for a while.”
Sam looks out the window, watching the town pass them by.
“Maybe our paths will cross again,” Cas says, and Sam nods, clenching his jaw in fury.
One way, that hunter would pay. Witch or not, they didn’t kill children.
He’d make sure that hunter knew it.

And all I remember is your back. Walking towards the airport leaving us all in your past.
It wasn’t an easy day for me or my mom, I was only a little girl, I didn’t understand anything at the time, all I understood was you, back towards us, suitcase in hand and walking towards the airport. I felt left behind, lost, and forgotten.
I looked up from my desk, looking around at the pictures around me, some of my mother, others of my teammates, and a few of Bucky. I took a deep breath, and got up walking towards my closet, I pulled out a box, looking through it. I pulled out a picture of him. My no good some of a-
“Hey, Doll you ready for breakfast, Tony won’t stop pestering me about you getting up and eating, so hurry up.” Bucky’s voice stop me in my tracks.
I turned and looked up at him, looking at his smiling face. I returned the gesture, and nodded.
“Of course sweetie, I be there in a sec.” I turned back to the box and picture in my hand. “Just looking through old stuff is all.”
Bucky looked down at me with curiosity, “whatcha looking through doll?” I giggled and signed. “Just some old pictures of my family.” Bucky squat down and looked at the picture in my hand.
“Who”s that?” I gulped, I never told Bucky about my no good for nothing father, it was only Tony, but the only reason was because he saw me crying my eyes out over him when I first came to the Avengers Tower.
“It’s….My father.” I said looking down at his picture. Remembering how I got this picture.
I traveled 1500 miles to see you. Begged you to want me, but you didn’t want to.
I got that picture from when I traveled to visit  you, you was in Denver, Colorado, I tried to get you to want me, tried to get you to love me. But I wasn’t good enough for you, why wasn’t I good enough?
I gave Bucky the picture, “This is my dad, I got this picture from his house.” Bucky took the picture and stared at the picture, “You went to his house? Where does he live?”
“Denver, Colorado.”
Bucky’s eyes widen, “Denver?! That's 1500 miles away from here. You really went that far for him?” I smiled and nodded, “Yeah I tried to get him to want me. But he didn’t want me.”
Bucky’s eyes fell, “I’m Sorry Doll.”
But piece by piece he collected me up off the ground, where you abandoned things.
Then I met the nicest man I’ve ever met, he picked me up where you left me, where you left everything.
He pulled me into a hug. I signed in content. “It’s okay doll i’ll be here for you, every single day.” He spoke softly to me. I smiled and nodded.
We stood up together, forgetting the box and walked out, hand in hand, to join the others for some breakfast. Once we got to the kitchen. Everyone was there eating or talking to each other. Natasha and Wanda noticed I walked in with Bucky, they both smiled and gestured me to come sit with them. I smiled and nodded.
I turned to Bucky and he smiled and nodded, knowing what I was gonna ask. I grinned and walk towards the girls.
And piece by piece he filled the holes that you burned in me at six years old and you know.
He gave me love every single day since then, cared for me when I cried over you, and I feel like he’s filling the holes you burned into me at six years old, when you left me and mom all by ourselves with no one to turn to for any sort of help. And you know, I was only six years old, I thought you was coming back but you didn’t. You never came back.
Ever since Bucky found out about my father, he made me feel much better about men, so did Tony, I feel like he’s my own dad, they both took care of me. And the smallest things they do for me made me love them more and more.
He never walks away.
When I got morning sickness for the first time, Bucky stayed by my side and helped me get through by helping me with the smallest things like getting a glass of water when I was puking my guts out.
“Doll, I got you a glass of water.” Bucky spoke softly to me as I puked my guts out into the toilet. I turned to him and gave him a small smile. “Thank you Bucky-” I quickly turned to the toilet again and went another round of death.
Bucky quickly grabbed my hair from my face with his metal hand, and pulled the hair tie from his head with his other, quickly putting my hair into a messy bun so I didn’t get puke all over my hair and have to take a shower, which I am not up for that whatsoever.
“Doll, are you gonna be okay?” Bucky asked with a worried expression. I got my face out of the toilet and grabbed the glass of water. I took a big gulp and nodded. “Yes Bucky i’m fine!” I smiled up at him. I started getting up, Bucky hurried and helped me up.
“Don’t stand up so fast darling, you’ll get nauseous again.” I nodded and walked to our bed. “What did Steve and Nat say?” Bucky took the glass from me and sat in on the night stand next to the bed.
“Steve said it’s okay for you to set this mission out, and Nat said she will cover for you. But I don’t want to leave you all alone when you are like this.”
I smiled up at him, “Honey go save the world, I’ll be perfect right here sleeping and watching Netflix, shoot they just added Moana, who’s gonna pass up Moana sweetie?” Bucky chuckled, “And besides if I need anything I’ll just bug one of the boys thats here,  you know, Tony, Clint, Bruce, Thor wouldn’t mind being bugged by a sick little human. I’ll get FRIDAY to get them for me. You have my back FRIDAY right?” “Of course Miss Y/L/N.” FRIDAY's voice spoke through out the room. Bucky signed.
“Okay, Okay just no getting out of bed got it?”
I grinned and saluted him, “Yes sir!”
He Never ask for money.
And when Bucky needed something I always tried giving him money, but he never takes it, he never even asks for money.
“Honey didn’t you say you needed a new undershirt for you suit?” I asked while digging into my purse. Me and Bucky decided to go looking around the mall. As I pulled my wallet out he stopped my hand. I looked up at him with confusion but all he did was smile. “No doll, I got money for one I don’t want to take yours.”
All I did was just smile.
He takes care of me. He loves me.
And when my morning sickness became something that happened every morning he was always there to bring me water and hold my hair back every time.
This thing became an everyday thing, which is pissing me off, and another thing is i'm late on my period! I need Nat and Wanda now.
I turned to Bucky who looked at me with worry. “Bucky dear, can you go get Nat and Wanda...Please!” That made him jump and quickly ran out the door to get the two girls.
Soon they came in. “Bucky stay outside for a second okay?” Wanda spoke to him making him more scared. “Don’t worry dear, i’m not dying just stay out there for a second okay?” Soon he agreed and sat on the edge of the bed.
Once the door shut I turned to the girls with a panic expression. “Fucking hell! I’m having signs of pregnancy!” I whispered loudly. “Okay Y/N calm down, maybe you're just getting the flu or something.” Wanda spoke, I glared at her. “Wanda i’m getting sick….IN THE MORNING! And I’m late on my period, I think I’m pregnant.”
Nat spoke, “Okay being mean and rude is not gonna help. I’ll go pick up some pregnancy tests while you tell Bucky the news.” I sighed and nodded. Both girls left and Bucky came in.
“Whats wrong?!” I smiled softly at him.
“Bucky...I think i’m pregnant..”
I watched Bucky’s eyes widen. He pointed to himself, “I might be a….dad?” I nodded. He grinned and ran towards me and pulled me in a bear hug, spinning us around. “I’m gonna be a dad!!” I laughed “Maybe!”
Piece by Piece he restored my faith, that I man can be kind, and a Father could, Stay.
And when I found out I was pregnant with his child, he stayed, he stayed, something you never did. He restored my faith, my faith that a man can stay and become a dad.
When Nat brought back the tests, Bucky stayed with me during all of it. Waiting patiently but eager to find out if he is gonna be a Dad or not.
I took all four tests. All came out Positive. I’m having a baby...with Bucky!. I started crying tears of joy. I walked out of the bathroom where Bucky was pacing back and forth in front of the bathroom, once he noticed me he quickly walked up to me.
“So...Are we gonna be parents?” He spoke quickly. I took a deep breath and nodded with a huge smile. “Yes, Yes we are gonna be parents Buck!” Tears fell down his eyes as he pulled me into his chest for a hug.
“Oh thank you Y/N you made me the happiest guy in the world!” He cried into my hair, I balled my first into his shirt and cried into his chest, nodding “You to Buck...You to.”
He pulled from our hug and went down to my stomach. His scruff tickling my stomaching making me laugh.
“Hey there, i’m your daddy, don’t worry about your mama she will be taken care of by me, and so will you, you’ll get all the food you want. Even it’s 3 in the morning.” I laughed and rubbed my hands through his hair.
Just then our door slammed open.
Their stod Tony with the rest of the team, “Nat told us, is it true? Will I be getting and grandchild?!” Tony cried with his hand still on the door. I smiled and nodded. Everyone sighed in relief and started cheering and talking about how much stuff the baby will get.
I turned to Bucky who kept his head on my belly. “Our child is gonna get spoiled very much by their uncles and aunts.”
“Counting Grandfather!” Tony yelled, making me roll my eyes, Bucky just grinned and nodded.
And all of your words fall flat, I made something of myself and now you wanna come back.
Everything was going great, I had a healthy child growing in me, and with Bucky’s and the teams help I was doing good, Of course I had to stay off of missions of course. That wasn’t the worst part of it. The worst part was you showing up out of nowhere. Saying you want me. And need me.
I was 6 months pregnant, found out the gender and I contacted my mother about her new Granddaughter  which made her very, very happy. Which made me very happy.
I was eating in the main living room of the tower while watching Netflix. Bucky was in the kitchen making something for him to eat. As I was enjoying my ice cream, FRIDAY interrupted stating a visitor is here to see me. Making most of the team, counting Bucky to hurry to the living room.
Tony turned to me, “When does your mother come to visit?” I shook my head, “She isn’t suppose to be here this early.” We all turned to the elevator once we heard the doors opened.
But your love isn’t free, it has to be earned.
Why was you there? When have you ever decided to come visit me.
I gasped. Bucky glared at him. Tony was the first one to spoke. “Why in the hell are you here?” he grinned and shrugged his shoulders. “Can’t a father visit his daughter without getting questioned?” Nat walked up to him and gave him her famous glare.
“You’re no father towards Y/N I suggest you leave now before we call security to make you leave.”
He turned towards me, his eyes fell towards my stomach. His eyes widen and gasped. “You’re pregnant?”
What.
What…?
I got out from behind Bucky’s back, “What the hell do you mean “You’re Pregnant?” Isn’t that what you came here for? To see your granddaughter?”
He shook his head, “I didn’t know you was till I got here.”
Bucky finally spoke, “Then why are you here?”
He smiled and gestured to the tower, “When I found out you were an avenger, I didn’t believe it at the time. Like why would You,” He pointed to me, “A worthless piece of junk be an avenger? Its funny! I wanted to see for myself. And here I am.”
Back then I didn’t have anything you needed, so I was worthless.
I knew you wasn’t there to see your granddaughter, you was there because I was an avenger and you needed me. And now that i’m something and you’re nothing, you’re crawling back to me for something I didn’t have back then, but now I have it, and you want it
Bucky growled and took a huge step towards him, “How dare you talk to my wife like that!” I grabbed a hold of Bucky’s metal arm to keep him from hurting him.
“Now that she’s something and you think she’s useful, you believe she’s going to give you any help?”
He shrugged, “Well, Yeah i’m her father.”
Steve took a step towards him, “Exactly you might be her father, but you will never be her Dad.” Steve got in his face, “I suggest you leave now before things start to get ugly.”
He turned to me, “You're just gonna let them talk to me like that, to your d-” “YOU ARE NOT MY DAD!”
I was panting as I saw the shocked look on his face. “You was the one who left, not me. I tired going to you but you didn’t want me. You will never ever be my dad. Get out before I kick you out myself. You’re not getting anything from me.”
He crossed his arms, “So your just gonna keep my granddaughter away from me?”
“Now you bring her in! How much of a douchebag are you?!” Bucky yelled. “Yes we are, because you didn’t want Y/N, so you won’t get Jasmine.”
Piece by piece, I fell far from the tree, I would never leave her like you left me. And she will never have to wonder her worth, because unlike you, i’m gonna put her first, and you know.
I walked up to him, “I will never be like you, I fell far from the tree.” I pointed to myself, “I would never leave her like you left me!” I started crying. “And...she will never wonder her worth because unlike you! I will put her first!” I cried into my hands making Bucky run up to me and pulled me into a hug.
I will never be like you. And she will never be like you.
Tony finally got the security guards to “Escort” him out. I sat in the arms of Bucky crying, I finally stood up to that man. I finally feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I can breath again.
I pulled from Bucky’s grasp and looked up at him, tears of joy fell from my eyes. “Thank you so much Bucky for being here.”
Bucky wiped the tears from my eyes and smiled down at me, “You’re welcome doll, anything for you.”
He’ll never walk away, he’ll never break her heart, he’ll take care of things, he’ll love her.
After 2 years you never showed up again, and i’m glad. This will be the last time i’ll talk to you. I don’t need you. I got everything I need right here with me, and you was never apart of it.
I sat in the patio with my mom, watching my husband, Bucky play with our daughter, Jasmine.
And after 2 years Bucky is still with me, with another one on the way, Cause I know he will never walk away, never break her heart. He will take care of things...because he loves her.
“He’s a good man sweetie.” my mother spoke while drinking her tea. I smiled and nodded, she turned to look at him. “Piece by Piece….he restored our faith.” she spoke softly. I grinned.
“That a man can be kind, and a father should be great.”
