Its funny how the second bonnie was being recongized for her power, we get a bunch of “powerful” white witches IN FUCKING NEW ORLEANS OF ALL PLACES??? (really julie if you wanted to pick a location with magical background use salem mass, oh wait then you might have to include mentions of the bennetts if you actually recall s1 dialogue actually how is there no mention of bennetts in one of the biggest witch communities esp since the supernatural talk)
(Vincent really the only powerful magic user consistently shown Ntm how rushed inandu/werewolf lore was oh well!)
Mind you even though plec wanted them to be powerful if you really look at it their not. Which is the opposite of bonnie predicment because she’s constantly shown to be powerful but the narrative tries to tell you she not(with the nosebleeds🙄)
No one ever compares hope to her family witches, i never seen anyone try to compare davina and freya magic even though the originals at one point makes a dig about davina not understand freya magic yet everyone compares every other witch to Bonnie because deep down they know she’s as powerful as its gets
-
Davina- had four harvest girls magic in her and her magic is ancestral magic and nola witches cant pratice magic outside of nola
Dahlia and Freya- dahlia immortality spell is legit the worse spell in the game. Wydm you’re only live life awake for 10years and you physically age. The fact that the magic was building up between them and her/freya most powerful moments were them linked… i dont find her all that impressive first how much knowledge can you retain of magic something that everychanging in one year, realistically even if you were powerful you would have no expertise. Might i mention that dahlia and her whole coven couldn’t protect themselves from humans, and esther couldn’t or wouldnt stop/neutralize mikael from being an abuser. I doubt their descendants have much magic

“You’re a healer, a mother, a wife,” The Spring Heiress said as she strolled closer to the iron bar cells. Her eyes flashed like the sun gleaming off the metal of a knife. Each smooth movement as animalistic as the last. A Beast in Faery skin. Aisling smiled sadly at the Heiress, “To them I am nothing more than a cursed witch.” Dahlia Fairburn and Aisling Sapphirus. General and Healer. The Heiress and her Lady. A Warrior and A Witch.

Netflix AA be like: Edgeworth is an african american child who got adopted by Von Karma who just treated him as a slave. Also Franziska literally whipped him to make him follow orders
Also Manfred is a literal former member of the Nazi party
The Feys are actually a family of Japanese immigrants and Redd White killed Mia simply because he hates those goddamn japanese, taking jobs from hard working americans such as him with his billions worth company.
Also Redd White is of jewish descent which would have absolutely no unfortunate implications whatsoever
Pearl is the hyper competent leader of the Fey clan at the ripe age of 6 after her mother’s incarceration.
Phoenix cries himself to sleep every night thinking about how his parents were killed in an alleyway by a burglar and he got accused of the crime because the police had found his fingerprints on the gun. He’ll never forget that lawyer who saved his life by defending him in court and that’s why he decided to become a lawyer himself!
Gumshoe is a corrupt cop who is also openly racist towards Maya and Pearl and secretly towards Edgeworth.
Dahlia is Lenore
Reply: stop giving them ideas please they’re still working on the DMC adaptation don’t let them ruin another franchise 😭
the new angsty Phoenix backstory is too on brand, they would absolutely remove the classroom flashback because it’s too stupid lol

What is Dahlia Snape opinion on Aunt Lily and Uncle James?
She isn’t fond of them…at all
She tolerates Lily more than James. She gives James all of the sass and snark she inherited from Sev..all of it
For Harry’s sake, she bites her tongue when Lily steps out of line but she does have a blow up moment in the fic 😉 real interesting stuff, especially considering it’s hard to get Dahlia GENUINELY pissed

Potential vs Actual Strength
I hate, hate, HATE, when I see people say Hope is stronger than ANY OF the +1000 witches.
Like no, she isn’t.
What she is, is a 16-19 year old witch. She can in fact not take on/contain witches with centuries on them. (Proof - the Hollow and her IN-ability to contain her)
Sure, she took on Davina when she was 7, but Davina was also only A) a spirit, and B) no longer a harvest witch.
Sure, Hope does have the POTENTIAL to be the strongest being on the planet, but maybe when she has a couple more centuries backing her.
So until then, she can NOT take on:
Dahlia
Esther
Silas
Inadu
Qetsiyah
or even Freya
(and yes, she can’t take on Rebekah either - that whole scene in Legacies was BS, Rebekah could have wiped the floor with her if she wanted to).
So yeah, I kind of feel like Hope’s been overrated/hyped up a little to much, especially considering we really didn’t get to see any of her strength in Legacies season 1-3 (the only one where we really got to see her power was season 4 - but even that didn’t really reach all the hype of: I’m a tribrid and the strongest creature).
Because of that, I really can’t see Hope actually standing against (let alone beating) any of the +1000 characters.
So yeah, she has the potential, but doesn't exactly have the bite to back up her bark against these characters yet.

Hello again!
Full disclosure, this is gonna be one of those posts to scratch an itch cause I just started thinking about it and now I’m heated. Not really, but really.
So an aspect of the originals I absolutely love is the finales. Every season finale is exceptional for a different reason, and the best finale conflicts in this show were the ones that made you pick a side.
The best example of this was the season two finale, which pitted Klaus against his entire family, or more specifically Hayley when it came to arguments.
This split was actually rather even on people who said Klaus was in the wrong or that Hayley was in the wrong, and for the longest time I stood in the middle believing that both did some bad things because I hated confrontation and picking a side (I’m bisexual, what do you expect?). That was before, now I have finally decided who was right.
And Hayley did nothing wrong.
I know that’s a very bold statement, I’m putting a pin in this. Please let me explain.
At the start of this conflict it’s hard not to side with Hayley. All she’s trying to do is keep her wolf family together while making up for lost time with her daughter. Then you have Dahlia trying to take Hope away from her, which if you’ve known any mother will bring out anyone’s scary side. On the other side of this conflict is Klaus boldly claiming she has no say in how her daughter will be protected. That scene at the end of 2x16 made me say “okay, I’m team Hayley” with no regrets, but something changed.
The reason for why people are team Klaus is simple, Hayley tried to run away with her daughter without his knowledge or consent, which is wrong. I’m not denying that. But something that is rarely talked about is the truth that hiding in the Bayou, staying away from the Mikaelson’s, and later running away forever weren’t Hayley’s idea. Not a single time does Hayley ever suggest keeping out of Elijah’s sight. The only idea she comes up with during this time is finding a way to mask Hope’s magic, a plan that will ultimately keep her out of Dahlia’s sight.
So if Hayley wasn’t the one who wanted to run, who’s was it? I think we all know. A man child incel named Jackson Kenner.
Yup! This is a part two to my Jackson hate post. In 2x18, it’s Jackson who insists to Hayley that running is the best idea even when she continuously tries to reject it. Hayley is the one giving every reason why she wouldn’t want to do it, but she does decide to run with him because she wants to make him happy. Red flag number one! Next in 2x20 while Jackson is doing everything in his power to prevent Elijah from speaking to Hayley, there’s no issues when she finally comes out of hiding to talk. And later in the episode, Jackson gives her an ultimatum to never see the Mikaelson’s again or he will take the family she’s always wanted and leave her forever. Red flag number two!
This is all clear cookie cutter signs of manipulation. Forcing your partner to do what you want against their wishes, keeping them away from people you don’t like, and giving them ultimatums are textbook abusive behaviors. This is not happening because Dahlia is in town and that means a danger to Hope. This happens cause Jackson wants to leave with Hayley, and his reasoning makes him look worse.
Throughout season two an interesting plot point has to be the dick measuring contest between Klaus and Jackson, which is incredibly one sided despite what Jackson would like to believe. The only thing he has over Klaus is Hayley, which is a reason he tries so hard to keep her away from Elijah because she loves him too and Klaus knows that. Klaus could kill Jackson whenever he’d like, Klaus can and has kicked his ass before and could continue doing so even with the power of a hybrid Jackson gains. This is the root of Jackson’s issues. He’s an alpha male who can’t handle being second place. Sure, he married Hayley, but who fathered her child? Who’s she really in love with? Jackson is behind both Klaus and Elijah and that fact drove him crazy. That is the catalyst of why he wanted to leave. He’s somehow more egotistical than Klaus, but is nowhere near his strength. The dunning Kruger effect in action, and what I see as a perfect example of an incel.
So the writers created a conflict in one character who shows that you don’t need to be a blood sucker to be the worst kind of man, just like they did with Matt Donovan. You might be thinking making Hayley be devoid of agency in this situation is a bit sexist, and yeah. My problems with Hayley are how she was stripped of her own story in favor of attaching her to Elijah and Jackson, but you can understand where she’s coming from. She’s a terrified mother who’s being taken advantage of by someone she already feels guilt towards because of Elijah (another red flag) and trusts has her best interest.
Hayley did nothing wrong.
And none of this is ever explored. The writers seem to think they’re writing Jackson as this good and noble person so come season three Klaus takes all the blame for what happened. Now, Klaus did a lot wrong he should be sorry for, but pretending like it was all him took the nuance of the season two finale and made it boring. The writers had something so good and threw it away just before the finish line. All because we can’t put Jackson in the wrong!
So this was another long post to say again how much I hate Jackson Kenner.

On Mother’s Day, Bruce’s voice dies quietly.
He leaves Alfred a gorgeous floral arrangement, laid with careful, hesitant , dirt stained hands, right by his bed. Ivy’s gardening tips had paid off.
They’re on the table by dinner time, crowned right in the center, yet no words pass between them. There’s no need.
Dahlias for Martha, hyacinths for Thomas, and gardenias for Alfred. Bruce doesn’t leave them by the mausoleum, thought. The kids do, — because they are that, to him, only to him, —
Clark gives him flowers, too, making his brows curve in surprise. He didn’t expect to get anything.
(There’s also a dinner, Clark informs him, — and he has this subtle command to him. It’s a talent not many notice. He makes an order sound like a suggestion, and Bruce can’t say it’s not a little alluring.)
“That’s too bad, ‘cause I’M taking you to dinner, so E.T better back off,” Jason grumbles, scowling down his novel, pretending to hate the tea Bruce made for him.
He blinks. “Damian is very adamant on going out as well,—“
“And me!” Dick cuts in, his grin wide and glowing moonlight, “Sorry Jaybird, I’ve been planning this for months. Better luck next time.”
“Uh, fuck you? Don’t you have an ‘absente son’ contest to win somewhere?”
“Hm, I don’t know! Don’t you have a bomb to plant in B’s car? Better hurry, you might actually succed this time!”
Bruce grunts, parental displeasure shaping his face, even if he knows very well this brotherly vendetta has no poison behind it. His babies were so stubborn. “Be nice to each other.”
“Have I shot him? No? That means I’m being nice.”
“You know what, you better get over your youngest child attitude, because you don’t run this place anymore,—“
“What, sorry, Queen Elizabeth? I couldn’t hear you over your anti aging cream, can you say that again?”
Bruce is dragged away by Damian while they’re fighting, naturally.

Damsel in Distress (for @vase-of-lilies thank you again for the banner!!) Rating: M (violence) Word Count: 1.6k Tags: Ghost x f!reader, knight/princess, kidnapping, abuse, rape threats, murder, damsel in distress Summary: Ghost has never been overwhelmed, and you've never made it more than ten feet out of his view. It was bound to happen eventually, you've been kidnapped.
It’s never happened like this before. One minute you’re in your carriage, the next you’re hauled out, dragged by your hair by some ruffian that’s apparently immune to your screams. He lifts you up over his shoulder and you watch the other men in his party holding Ghost off before another man gags you. You realize then that you’ve been scared before, but you’ve never truly been terrified, not like you are now. Not like you are watching Ghost take a heavy blow, stumbling under the weight of it before swinging his sword. There’s nothing he can do to help you, to save you. You can only watch him fight until you’re thrown over a horse and your view is obscured.
You don’t know what happens after that. It’s a long ride, one that doesn’t stop even when you can feel the horse struggling to continue. You don’t recognize the territory, but why would you? You’re not meant to be in this part of the country, not on your own anyway.
You hope Ghost is alright.
You hope you will be alright. He’d want you to be alright.
It’s not kind the way you’re pushed off the horse. You hit the ground and whine against your gag. You’re at an estate of some sort. Nice, but low nobility. You squeeze your fingers tight, rub your wrists against the bindings wrapped hastily around them. A servant comes out and seems to hold no recognition for you. Unfortunate, your face is the only thing that protects you without Ghost around. They sigh.
“Bring her in, we’ll see what the master wants to do.”
You struggle against the hands that try to pull you to your feet, tug when they try to force you forward. One of the men slaps you hard, and you feel your head spin. It stings. Your ears ring, and you blink to try and re-orient yourself as they push you into the foyer.
Shock, you think. It must be a shock. You’ve never been hit before, no one would dare raise a hand to you. Your brain is working overtime to process just the pain of realization that you’re nothing, nothing, to these men. You’re not a princess, you’re barely a person. You’re pushed and shoved, thrown into a room in such a way that you fall and catch yourself, painfully, on your shoulder. You breathe against the cold stone floor just long enough to pity yourself.
Then a door opens and you scramble to your feet, press yourself to the wall to keep your back safe. You know every noble house in your kingdom, you know the man who walks into the room from some anti-chamber. A low noble indeed, barely a baron. Yet he looks down on you the same way the rest of his staff did when you glare at him. He strides closer as you try to push yourself into the stone wall. Your gag is unceremoniously tugged down.
“What’s your name girl,” He asks. You spit it at him, all of your titles and names. The shining star of the kingdom, the monarchy’s dahlia, the first god damn princess you stupid- He pales, and you turn to offer him your hands to unbind. He does, quickly, then pauses as you rub your wrists. He grabs your hand and tugs you. You’re reminded of how disgusting this man is up close, his breath stinks, there’s mold in his beard, his eyes are soulless. It’s the way his grip attempts to crush your fingers that makes you flinch away.
“This might not be a bad thing, princess.” He tells you, his voice cold, hateful, “The king would give me a hefty reward for finding you, saving you from the clutches of bandits.”
“Bandits under your employ,” You cut back. He shrugs.
“Bandits you were traveling with, and who knows what they said to you-” he smiles, “-what they did to you? Really such a shame, but I’m a modern man, I’m willing to take a soiled wife.”
You feel your blood drain out through your feet, the cold of the room so much more oppressive. You swallow down your heart when it jumps up your throat. “You wouldn’t.”
“I think I would,” He hums, “King has a nice ring to it, and even with that bruise you’re rather pretty. A bit of a brat, but I’ll train that out of you.”
You tug at his hold more firmly, push at him to yell for help. He claps a hand over your mouth and slams your head back against the wall. Again you find your vision swimming, the pain making it hard to think. He presses close as you grab at his clothes for stability. Anything to ground yourself with. Your fingers brush metal, and something snaps into focus.
You pull his knife from his belt and push it into his stomach as hard as you can. He jerks with the shock of it, his eyes wild as they meet your panicked gaze. You twist it, breath coming in quick bursts as you tug the knife sideways along his belly. He releases you and you collapse against the floor. His meaty hands tremble, his gaze fixed on the blood soaking his shirt as he stumbles back. The edge of the rug trips him, and he falls back against the floor. You press yourself into the nearest corner, watching the slow seep of blood into fabric, the trickle of it down to pool on the floor.
It’s worse, so much worse than you’d ever thought it would be. Ghost was right. He was right. You should never hold a knife, you never should have- Bile rises in your throat, panic latching hold of you and squeezing your ribs with its terrible claws. There’s a commotion outside. You can hear it dimly through the rising tone that echoes through your mind.
The door to the room burst open, nearly coming off its hinges from the force of the blow that opened it. Ghost lowers his boot to make his way into the room, shoulders hunched and breath heaving. Blood soaked. His sword, baptized in flesh and unholy acts, looks like Michael’s, like an angel’s, where it rests at his side. His mask is gone, his helmet gone. There’s blood streaking across his face, and you know it isn’t his.
His eyes are wild and darting as they scan the room. They land on you like an eclipse drawing across the land, bearing unforetold consequences to all caught in its path. His lovely brown irises are swallowed by darkness, a shadow of your Ghost as he stalks towards you. It doesn’t matter, you still throw yourself to him as a sob rips through your chest.
“I’m sorry,” You sob, twisting your fingers into his cloak to bury your face against his chest, “I didn’t mean to.”
“Are you alright?” He asks, the stress in his voice, the rough gravel, makes you choke.
You push close, bury yourself in the scent of woodsmoke and blood, you can smell steel under it, imagine you can smell Ghost’s soap. Imagine you can smell home. Ghost grips your shoulder tight and pushes you back. His eyes are stern when you meet them, his leather glove wet where it cups your bruised cheek.
“You’re hurt.” You’ve never heard him sound like that, dead, “Are you hurt anywhere else? Did he touch you?”
Fresh sorrow wells in your chest, splinters your soul. Your lip wobbles. “Yes, and I-” You press against Ghost’s hold, try to push yourself into his arms again. Your hands reach for him, and he looks at you like your touch pains him. “I’m sorry,” You whisper, “I didn’t know what else to do, I didn’t mean to, I promise, don’t be mad.” Your voice feels small and far away, your eyes go back to the man on the floor. Ghost turns to follow your gaze. He takes a breath when he sees him, like he hadn’t even noticed you weren’t alone, and presses you back into your corner.
It takes so few steps for Ghost to reach the slowly pooling blood that you wonder if you truly put enough space between the man and yourself. He raises his sword, and you watch foreign blood drip down the blade before he stabs it down through the man’s neck. You hear the metal collide with the floor, and watch Ghost twist the blade sharply. The body jerks and falls limp.
“Good riddance,” He spits, before yanking his sword free. Ghost swings the blade sharply and blood splatters from the blade to the ground. His attention turns back to you, and he smiles. “Fortunately your hands are still clean, my lady, it’s my kill.”
Weight slides off your shoulders, you feel your lip wobble again and fresh hiccuping sobs rack your body. Ghost comes close and you fall against his chest. You wrap your arms around his shoulders and press your face against him, letting him take your tears as they spill from you. He draws you up with a firm hand under your bottom, and you wrap your legs around his waist to be carried.
You’re safe. It was an uncalculated error, Ghost tells himself, but you’re safe now. He carries you through the halls of this cursed estate, his sword still thirsty at his side, and promises himself it will never happen again. Your hands are stained, but they still grip him for comfort the same as they always do. He doesn’t blame you. You did good, exactly as you should have.
Ghost pauses, turns to kiss your head, the shell of your ear. You’re so sweet hiding your eyes. It’s for the best, this place is a mess. Someone should really clean up, it stinks of blood.

I think the tumblr Ace Attorney fandom has a weird stance on Dahlia Hawthorne. Even more so, on her culpability, to the point that some people claim that she was justified in killing Terry Fawles and even Valerie
First of all, we need to consider the main message of the games first and our personal sense of justice second, because Dahlia, as much as any other AA character, operates within the games' own narrative, and has consequences according to it. And Ace Attorney makes it quite clear that any human life is valuable and no one has a right to take it (illegally). This message was accentuated in TGAA mostly, but even in the trilogy we have Edgeworth who says "everyone deserves a fair trial"
And (I think I need to say before someone throws tomatoes at me) I'm not here to defend Terry Fawles and say that he didn't do anything wrong. He pretty much did, and the fact that he started to date his young pupil is pretty horrible and brow-raising, even if it's unclear who initiated it. It's also possible that Valerie was a neglectful sister, and that Dahlia's whole family was abusive and insufferable to her. The most important thing to understand here is that even if Terry and Valerie were all-round terrible people, killing Valerie and manipulating Fawles made Dahlia a criminal. Objectively.
The second point I see people miss is how disastrous was the collateral damage Dahlia caused in her attempts to cover herself. Poisoning Diego. Killing Doug. Attempting to kill Phoenix. Attempting to kill Maya. And the question is: in what way did any of these people do Dahlia injustice? What is their fault?
They didn't have any. By the time of T&T timeline she was pretty much a person poisoned by her hatred and fear. The main tragedy of her character is that she spiraled down from a mistreated schoolgirl who wanted to run away to a malicious woman who would stoop to crime whenever she needs to. I think this is a solid example of an anti-arc, in which Dahlia's fate was indeed shaped by her unfortunate circumstances in many ways, but! She still had agency in her actions, and having agency means having responsibility
To clarify: I don't hate hate Dahlia, even though my disagreement with the fandom lies in the amount of her hateability. I think she's fascinating and is a good foil to Mia. She pretty much IS a tragic character, and we actually have a good insight into her via Iris' recollections before the final trial segment - the person who probably understood Dahlia the most. Realizing that Dahlia was yet another victim of Fey family drama, much like our Maya (even if in other ways) adds some sympathy points to her. But I have a firm opinion that she wasn't exactly redeemable at the end of her criminal path
So, do I think Dahlia's character goes beyond the crazy-psycho femme fatale? Yes, even if the game wasn't really forthcoming about her childhood misfortunes as much as we would want to. Do I think Dahlia deserved condemnation in the end of BTTT? Yes, and I personally didn't expect Phoenix or Mia to pat her head after being responsible for the deaths of 4 people and (the other important part that adds to her hateability) feeling absolutely no remorse towards people that had nothing to do with her tragedy. Having complexity doesn't necessarily mean Dahlia is secretly better as a person, and understanding why a character became the way they are doesn't mean we should sympathize with or forgive them

Snetunia, Imagine Snape becoming famous in the wizarding world for his genius, when asked about her husband the only thing Lily can say. " James was really good a quidditch when he went to Hogwarts" but when Dahlia gets into Quidditch Lily cant even brag about that Anymore.
OOOUUUU YEESSS
Her being a fuckin beast on the quidditch field AND the daughter of an upcoming famous wizard…Lily and James can’t touch that, I’m sorry
We all know James would get defensive and Lily would just go home and cry into a pillow 😭
This is going to be fun

Ok why is there an anti Acherswan movement on the Hoyolab app? Yes, I saw the violent murder as much as everyone else but come on, since when has murder and violence not just been extra fuel for shipping? And have you seen them dancing?
Also, reminder that Acheron is not actually brutally tearing Black Swan to pieces, Black Swan is just being violently traumatized by Acheron's memories, memories that Acheron herself doesn't remember, so I really doubt she's doing that on purpose.
I stand for potentially self destructive to toxic Acherswan any day.
As I said in my Memories of Crackling Dahlias ™ post all those months ago, when we still thought Constance would be seen alive on screen, they know their goal is to kill each other but they're still ridiculously attracted to each other.
