summary: Eren shows up at your apartment late at night.

“I didn’t know where else to go.”

Your jaw is slack, your eyes wide, and your heart in your stomach at the sight in your doorway

The tall brunette was leaning against the doorframe to your apartment, blood was trickling out of his nose. His chest heaving as it attempted to take in deep breath, his body shuddering from what you could only assume was pain. There was pain evident in his forest green eyes, puffy and his cheeks stained with tears that still flowed from his eyes. His backpack had slumped to the floor, not even zippered shut, mismatched clothes stuffing the bag as full as it could go. 

Your chest began to burn from lack of oxygen and when you finally took a breath in came out shaking. Your chest heaving to take in air, your throat clenched as you forced out “Eren, what happened?”. 

Eren sniffles and wipes the back of his hand across his face, mixing the blood and tears on his cheek. He shook his head slowly. After years of knowing each other, you knew when he wanted to talk and when he didn’t want to be pushed. This was a moment he didn’t want to be pushed. 

You moved from the doorway and picked up his backpack off the floor placing it inside before moving to the kitchen. He stumbled into your small apartment, shutting the door with a light slam, carefully making his way to your coach before landing on it with a plop. You hear him groan from the impact of the cushions on his body from the kitchen. 

You return to the living room area with a clean, damp rag and a glass of water. You begin to gently dab away the blood from Eren’s nose. His eyes flutter open, a deep shade of emerald green overtaken with whatever emotion he was feeling. Once the blood was gone, you place the cool rag over his forehead. Both of you sat in silence for a while, Eren’s eyes distant, staring off. Your eyes were watching his own intently, waiting patiently until he was ready to speak. 

Eren was a hothead, you knew that. The years of schoolyard battles left him in a state like this many times, but he’s never acted so painfully calm after one of those fights. 

What happened? 

Eren swallowed thickly, clearing his throat. You lean towards him slightly, holding your breath with anticipation. 

“I love you and she didn’t take our break up well” 

Your eyes widen at his out-of-the-blue confession. You could almost feel your heart jump back to its place in your chest. Warmth spreads across your cheeks, and a meek smile paints its way across your face after finally hearing the words you longed for. 

“I still have stuff at her place I need to get out, but I’m scared.” he chokes out through a sob. 

You place your hand on his cheek, so gentle as if he were going to shatter at the slightest movement. “I will have Jean and Reiner go to get the rest of your things. You don’t have to worry about that.” 

You move slowly so as to not scare him anymore, placing your lips gently on his own in a simple peck. The pain in Eren’s eyes dissipates when your eyes meet his, the negative emotions from getting replaced with a fondness and a soft smile. 

“You’re safe with me.”

Day 7: Faces w/ Aoi Zaizen & Eren Jaeger

Today I drew proper head proportions! I did one front view and one side view.

I wanted to draw Aoi Zaizen for the front view. She has an easy-to-draw hairstyle. I added a cute heart and wings to her drawing. I think I really nailed the Yu-Gi-Oh! eyes this time~

Now as I was deciding who to draw for the side view, an AOT song came on and I felt Eren was saying "Draw me or fight me >:( " lol so I drew him with some help (reference drawing below the cut). I left him sketchy because, y'know, how dare you rumble the world and tear my heart open with your show's ending >:< . Kinda mad he ended up looking so good with the shading lines anyway lmao.
