I want to be a portrait of myself, frozen in a time when I had trained in classical arts and read poetry under trees and loved to hear the birds sing.

“Something occurred to me during my latest playthrough.
Art is always being targeted for Synth replacement, and he himself admits that he can't think of a reason they would WANT to replace him.
Suddenly it occurred to me that Bethesda was playing a joke on us.
They wanted to replace Art... just for Art's sake.”

Words cannot express the love that I hold for bad art. Art that society would call in poor taste, a waste of time and money, poorly executed, not deep enough, too deep, et cetera. I hate the way the narrative is so strongly pushed that art has to have a point, or meet specific criteria, or be profitable. Art with a motive other than joy in creation and the expression of thoughts or feelings or opinions feels disingenuous, or at the least severely diluted. Creative expression is so beautiful and visceral, and that’s only compounded when it’s not created for any sake other than making art.

I'm posting my old art for now. This one was for my dear friend. Pyry was our ranger and such a sweet heart.
