#at that point I was like 'okay I'm gonna sacrifice myself and go all in with action surge'
Note
Still playing through ToTK and I get a *BoTW* fic idea because of course I do; I'd repurpose it for ToTK but it doesn't quite fit, yet nonetheless I gotta share it before it leaves me (still gonna try to write it though) --
So, it's always bugged me a little bit that Link would go out of his way to do Korok puzzles and extra shrines and whatnot when they all take a fair amount of time and Zelda's whittling herself down in the castle, and Link generally isn't one to mess around while her wellfare is endangered.
BUT I present another theory; that the first time Link decided to pass one up as not worth the time, he felt that little ember of Zelda in the back of his mind wilt a little bit, and realized that she actively looked forward to each and every one of them. After a century of monotony, her mind is starved for stimulation, and fuck if Korok puzzles aren't the kind of brain teaser she would actually kill for (or, as the case goes, sacrifice another week or two cumulatively for).
And bonus points if he starts soliciting her commentary for some of the harder ones.
(Idk I think it's the fact that I'm reading BoTW fic while I push through the end of ToTK so I don't spoil myself but this came to me and I'm like, 'Ah, this resolves so much ludonarrative dissonance for me.' Thought you might appreciate the idea haha)
Yo. Yes.
I do appreciate this idea oh my god
I always wondered like “okay so link canonically did all of the shrine quests and side quests… so like… Zelda had to wait? Through all those quests? Ig homie did it all bc he knew he had to help and get as strong as possible so he knew he wouldn’t lose again”
And just adding that Zelda DOES have a connection to link through the spirit realm… and that she WOULD definitely get a kick out of the puzzles link goes through… oh I am so here for this idea

MOCKINGJAY - PART TWO (2015) SENTENCE STARTERS
❛ My family hasn't come to see me. ❜
❛ You can't trust her! She's a monster! ❜
❛ I wanna help the rebels in any way I can. ❜
❛ That's not [name]. ❜
❛ I don't stand a chance if he doesn't get better. You'll never let him go. ❜
❛ That's like kissing someone who's drunk. Doesn't count. ❜
❛ I guess there are no rules anymore about what a person can do to another person. ❜
❛ We took heavy losses. ❜
❛ You think of it like a wolf den. You're not gonna fight your way in, so you've got two choices. You trap the wolves inside, or you flush 'em out. ❜
❛ There's gotta be a better way. ❜
❛ Even if those civilians are just moppin' floors, they're helping the enemy. And if they have to die, I can live with that. ❜
❛ With that kinda thinking, you can kill whoever you want. ❜
❛ Sometimes killing isn't personal. Figured if anyone knew that, it was you. ❜
❛ I, of all people, know that it's always personal. ❜
❛ Give me one reason I shouldn't shoot you. ❜
❛ I guess that's the problem, isn't it? We each have every reason to want to kill each other. So if you wanna kill me, do it. ❜
❛ I am done being a piece in his game. ❜
❛ These people are not your enemy. ❜
❛ He corrupts everyone and everything. He turns the best of us against each other. Stop killing for him. ❜
❛ You have a habit of burying people before they're dead. ❜
❛ We toasted a glorious era coming to its bitter end. ❜
❛ Oh, that speech you gave. Oh, man, feel - I mean, I still have goosebumps. ❜
❛ What about you? You feeling totally safe? ❜
❛ So what are your injuries? ❜
❛ I mean, it's everybody's job to keep you alive. ❜
❛ Is that why you hate me? ❜
❛ Feel free to take any of this personally. ❜
❛ They messed us up pretty good, didn't they? ❜
❛ He's strapped down. He can't hurt you. ❜
❛ It doesn't matter what you want. It's for [name]. ❜
❛ I watched you die. ❜
❛ I was never the nice one. You were. ❜
❛ Why would I take a beating like that for you? ❜
❛ [name] says that everything that comes out of your mouth is a lie. ❜
❛ People said you loved me. ❜
❛ We're very familiar with each other's screams. ❜
❛ I'm going to kill [name]. Nothing good is safe while he's alive. ❜
❛ He needs to see my eyes when I kill him. ❜
❛ Anybody can kill anybody. Even a president. You just have to be willing to sacrifice yourself. ❜
❛ This isn't just adolescent, it's insubordination. ❜
❛ From what I see here, we've already made history. But history doesn't stop to celebrate. And we're facing an enemy that will not change and will never surrender.❜
❛ If we die, let it be for a cause and not a spectacle. ❜
❛ I know when you're gonna go off on your own. You gonna leave me behind, too? ❜
❛ You'll do whatever you're ordered to do, soldier. It's not your job to ask questions.❜
❛ In the event of capture, you'll be given a nightlock pill. A poison that acts immediately. ❜
❛ If it really came down to it, you think you could shoot him? ❜
❛ I'm plannin' for you to have a long life. ❜
❛ I've seen that look. You're trying to decide whether or not you should kill me. ❜
❛ I'm sorry. I just can't tell what's real and what's made up anymore. ❜
❛ This is a bad spot. We need to move now. ❜
❛ So now that we're dead, what are we gonna do? ❜
❛ It's only a matter of time before I snap again. I'm not in control. ❜
❛ If it gets to that point, I'll kill you myself. ❜
❛ Nobody knows we're alive. This is our chance. ❜
❛ Look at me. We're gonna get through this. I promise. ❜
❛ You're still trying to protect me. Real or not real? ❜
❛ That's what you and I do. Keep each other alive. ❜
❛ Stay with me. ❜
❛ Everyone that's dead is dead because of me. ❜
❛ I never meant for this to happen. I failed. I... I killed them. ❜
❛ If you end all of this, all those deaths, they mean something. ❜
❛ I have moments when I'm here. And my memories are getting better, but other times it's like I'm sleepwalking. ❜
❛ We got one shot. Let's make it count. ❜
❛ Let me come with you, okay? I can be a good distraction. ❜
❛ If I see you again, it's gonna be a different world. ❜
❛ I was hoping you'd find your way here. There are so many things we should discuss. ❜
❛ We both know I'm not above killing children. But I'm not wasteful. I take life for specific reasons. ❜
❛ I'm afraid we've both been played for fools. ❜
❛ Oh, my dear. I thought we'd agreed never to lie to each other. ❜
❛ You never came to see me. ❜
❛ All I know is that I was supposed to take care of your family. Now I'm sorry I couldn't. ❜
❛ Thirst for blood is a difficult urge to satisfy. ❜
❛ We need to stop viewing each other as enemies. ❜
❛ I'll say this for you, you don't disappoint. ❜
❛ You were exactly who I believed you were. ❜
❛ I'm sorry so much burden fell on you. I know you'll never escape it. But if I had to put you through it again for this outcome, I would. ❜
❛ I couldn't let you go without a proper goodbye. ❜
❛ We've all suffered so much. But we owe it to their memories and to our children to do our best with these lives. ❜
❛ You love me. Real or not real? ❜

HEART PIRATES WEEK 2024 - Day 3 of 9
I told myself last year that I was going to participate in Heart Pirates Week this year, and by thunder I'm going to participate in Heart Pirates Week!
Day Three: Penguin - Loyalty
486 words; this prompt’s sfw qualifier is going to be violence, bc, well, Sabaody; also a reminder this isn’t beta’d and just kinda ends so there
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
The Captain cussed loudly as the Marines showed up, again, making it so that things were more than a bit chaotic. All they were trying to do was get back to the Polar Tang without disturbing anyone or anything and the soldiers were making it unnecessarily difficult.
“Take the crew back!” the Captain ordered as he sliced a Marine in half with Kikoku. “Bepo, Jean Bart, and I got this!”
“Aye-aye,” Penguin grinned. He and Shachi led the rest of the crew away from the battle and split up—it was going to be easier to get everyone safely aboard the ship if there were multiple targets to follow—with Shachi taking the short way and Penguin taking a less-direct approach.
“Are you sure about this…?” Hakugan wondered as they tried to stay hidden behind a building while some nearby Marines conducted a search. They were successfully out of sight, but for how long was the question…
“I’m sure,” Penguin replied. He edged himself close to the corner of the building and glanced around in the street, hoping that the Marines had left. Not yet. He shuffled back to the main pack quietly. “We’re surrounded, but it doesn’t look like for long.”
“I knew I should have gone with Shachi,” Uni grumbled.
“Shachi is probably attempting to sacrifice Ikkaku to a Rear Admiral as we speak,” Penguin reminded him. The others nodded in agreement; their lead mechanic’s curves had been deployed over less, after all, and being there as it happened was a risky move. “We just have to lay low until we see an opportunity to run for it.”
“We’re gonna get caught and the Captain’s gonna have our hides,” grumbled someone, a newer recruit if Penguin’s ears weren’t deceiving him. He shook his head and exhaled heavily.
“No one’s getting caught, not on my watch,” Penguin claimed. “Look: you’re gonna have to trust me, okay?”
“It’s you I trust, it’s the rest of the people here I don’t.”
Penguin grumbled lowly in irritation. “This is what being a Heart Pirate is, I hope you know. It takes work to be a loyal Heart.”
“…yeah, but…”
“No buts!”
“Peng, look behind you,” Hakugan deadpanned, pointing behind Penguin. There, standing at the front of the alleyway, was a Marine cadet who looked like he was about to pee himself. Penguin stood at full height and held up his hands to show he wasn’t holding anything.
“Hey, look, this is all a misunderstanding,” he claimed. Yeah, right. “We don’t want to fight you, probably as much as you wanna fight us, so just let us go and…”
“Commodore! I found them!” the cadet spun on his heel and bolted, which only made Penguin sigh in irritation. He cracked his knuckles before picking up his staff from the ground.
“It’s ride or die, lads,” he announced as Marines began to close in on them. “Let’s get to work.”

Finale: Sacrifice
Tw for violence under the cut
This was by far the most visciously that Saber had ever fought. And it was a battle against her own best friend. Well.... the person that used to be her best friend.
"Why are you doing this?! I thought that we were friends!" Hanayo cried while throwing a punch at Saber.
Saber ducked and came back up, snarling. "Because friends don't abandon each other forever! You lying traitor!"
Hanayo jumped back as Saber aimed a kick at her face. "You don't understand! I have no choice but to go! But you're still missing the point- agh!"
Saber threw dirt into Hanayo's eyes. "You know what else is missing?! Our fucking promise! The one that we made to each other! You would break it just like that, just for some stranger you don't even know?! What about us, Hanayo?! We-!"
"Just because I'm leaving doesn't mean that we can't still be friends! You don't understand.... you're the one who's ruining our friendship!" Hanayo screamed as she started fighting back harder.
The two girls clashed violently as they yelled.
"You're being arrogant!"
"You're being a traitor!"
"Mmh.... how could you possibly say that?! All I'm doing is following my destiny! You could come with me, if it weren't for your attachment to me! But it doesn't mean that we still don't have a chance!"
"I'm not following you if it means giving up the one thing that makes me feel alive! You're taking it all away from me!"
"Ugh, how arrogant can you be?! I am doing this so that we can stay together! I just wanted you to come with me and give up your power so that we could work this out somehow and be okay! I want you to come with me...."
"I want you to stay with me...."
"To Sinnoh!"
"Right here in Unova!"
"You were all I ever wanted!"
Both girls struck at the same time. Hanayo managed to knock Saber over.
Glaring up at Hanayo, Saber spat. "Now what? You gonna end it right here?"
Hanayo lowered her fists. "No. I can't bring myself.... even if you are still gonna try and hurt me."
Saber stood up. She and Hanayo stared at each other. At some point.... they would have to stop and come to an understanding. Before it was too late....

When The Levee Breaks
Masterlist pt 1
Masterlist pt 2
"Okay. Let me out. This is not funny." Sam yells as we talk to him through the little barred window in the door. "Damn straight." Dean growls. "Dean, come on. This is crazy." Sam exclaims. "No. Not until you dry out." Dean said. "Look, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lied to you and to (y/n). Just open the door." Sam said and I wrap my arms around myself. "You don't have to apologize. It's not your fault. It's not your fault that you lied to us over and over again. I get it now. You couldn't help it." Dean said.
"I'm not some junkie." Sam yells. "Really? I guess I've just imagined how strung out you've been lately." Dean accused. "You're actually trying to twist this into some kind of ridiculous drug intervention?" Sam asked, angrily. "If it smells like a duck." Dean said, shrugging.  "Dean, I'm not drinking the demon blood for kicks. I'm getting strong enough to kill Lilith." Sam said and I raise an intrigued eyebrow at this.
"Strong?" Dean asked.
"Yeah." Sam said.
"This is about as far away from strong as you can get. Try weak. Try desperate. Pathetic." Dean spat. "Killing Lilith is what matters. Or are you so busy being self-righteous you forgot about her?" Sam growls. "Oh, Lilith's gonna die. Bobby, (y/n) and I will kill her. But not with you." Dean informs. "You're not serious." Sam said, disbelieving. "Congrats, Sammy. You just bought yourself a benchwarmer seat to the apocalypse." Dean said.
"Dean, look—no, wait—" Sam said, quickly, but Dean shuts the window cover. "Come back here. Dean! Let me out of here! Dean! Let me out of here! Let me out! Dean!" Sam shouts as Dean walks away. I sigh and look over at the door for a few moments before I turn away from it while Sam continues to shout.
Bobby pours three glasses of whiskey and hands one to Dean then the other to me. "Stop! Stop!" We hear Sam shout and I frown and look down at the glass of whiskey. "How long is this gonna go on?" Dean asked Bobby  "Here, let me look it up in my demon-detox manual. Oh wait. No one ever wrote one. No telling how long it'll take. Hell, or if Sam will even live through it." Bobby said then the phone rings.
Bobby sighs and answers. "Hello." he answers then his face turns to annoyance and anger. "...Suck dirt and die, Rufus. You call me again, I'll kill you." he yells and hangs up. "What's up with Rufus?" I asked Bobby, curiously. "He knows." Bobby said then the phone rings again and he answers it. "I'm busy, you son of a bitch. This better be important." he said then his face turns to shock and fear.
"The news. The news ain't good." Bobby said as I had my laptop open and looking through some news stories. "This is what Rufus called about? Key West sees ten species go extinct." I said, pointing at the article on screen. "Yep. Plus Alaska. Fifteen-man fishing crew all stricken blind, cause unknown. New York, teacher goes postal, locks the door, kills exactly sixty-six kids. All this in a single day. I looked them up. There's no doubt about it. They're all seals. Breaking. Fast." Bobby said.
"How many are left?" Dean asked. "Who knows? Can't be many. Where the hell are your angel pals?" Bobby asked. "You tell me." Dean said, shrugging. "I'm just wondering." Bobby said, thinking. "What?" Dean asked.
"The apocalypse being nigh and all...is now really the right time to be having this little domestic drama of ours?" Bobby said. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "Well, I don't like this any more than you two do, but Sam can kill demons. He's got a shot at stopping Armageddon." Bobby said. "So what? Sacrifice Sam's life, his soul, for the greater good? Is that what you're saying? Times are bad, so let's use Sam as a nuclear warhead?" Dean asked him, angrily.
"Look, I know you hate me for suggesting it. I hate me for suggesting it. I love that boy like a son. All I'm saying is maybe he's here right now instead of on the battlefield because we love him too much." Bobby said and Dean sighs.
*3rd Person POV*
Dean stands in Bobby's salvage yard and looks around, frustrated, until Castiel appears. "Well, it's about time. I've been screaming myself hoarse out here for about two and a half hours now." Dean said, annoyed. "What do you want?" Castiel asked him. "You can start with what the hell happened in Illinois." Dean said.
"What do you mean?" Castiel asked. "Cut the crap. You were gonna tell me something." Dean growls as he walks up to him. "Well, nothing of import." Castiel said, shrugging. "You got ass-reamed in heaven but it was not of import?" Dean asked him, suspiciously. "Dean, I can't. I'm sorry. Get to the reason you really called me. It's about Sam, right?" Castiel asked.
"Can he do it? Kill Lilith, stop the apocalypse?" Dean asked Castiel. "Possibly, yes. But as you know, he'd have to take certain steps." Castiel said. "Crank up the hell-blood regimen." Dean said and Castiel nods. "Consuming the amount of blood it would take to kill Lilith would change your brother forever. Most likely, he would become the next creature that you would feel compelled to kill. And if you are wondering, since she has similar powers, it would mostly likely happen to (y/n) if she were to consume the blood as well." Castiel explains and Dean sighs.
"There's no reason this would have to come to pass, Dean. We believe it's you, Dean, not your brother nor your girlfriend. The only question for us is whether you're willing to accept it. Stand up and accept your role. You are the one who will stop it." Castiel said and Dean gives him a curious look.
"If I do this, Sammy doesn't have to?" Dean asked him. "If it gives you comfort to see it that way." Castiel said and Dean rolls his eyes. "God, you're a dick these days." He grumbles and he walks a few steps away and sighs.
"Fine, I'm in." he said. "You give yourself over wholly to the service of God and his angels?" Castiel asked. "Yeah, exactly." said Dean. "Say it." Castiel demands. "I give myself over wholly to serve God and you guys." Dean said, firmly.
"You swear to follow his will and his word as swiftly and obediently as you did your own father's?" Castiel asked. "Yes, I swear." Dean said and Castiel nods a bit. "Now what?" Dean asked him. "Now you wait, and we call on you when it's time." Castiel said.
*(y/n)'s POV*
"Bobby! Dean! (Y/n)! Help! Hey! Hey! Guys! Guys! Help! Dean! (Y/n)!" Sam's voice screams while Bobby and I stare at Dean, shocked at what he just told us. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you willingly signed up to be the angels' bitch?" Bobby asked Dean, who gives him a look. "I'm sorry. You prefer sucker?" Bobby asked, sarcastically.
"After everything you said about them, now you trust them?" I asked Dean, suspiciously. "Come on, give me a little credit, (y/n). I've never trusted them less. I mean, they come on like shady politicians from planet Vulcan." Dean said.
"Then why in the hell did you—" Bobby started to ask but Dean talks over him. "Because what other option do I have? It's either trust the angels or let Sammy trust a demon?" Dean said and Bobby nods. "I see your point." I said and then we realized that it was strangely quite.
"You hear that?" Dean asked us. "Yeah, that's a little too much nothing." Bobby said and we hurry to the basement and open the window in the door. Sam is on the floor of the panic room, having a seizure.
"What if he's faking?" Dean asked and I turn to him. "You really think he would?" I asked him. "I think he'd do anything." Dean said but then Sam slams against the wall by an invisible force. "That ain't faking." Bobby said and we throw open the door and charge in to get Sam down and pin him to the cot.
"We're gonna have to tie him down for his own safety." Bobby said as he and I hold Sam down. I look over send see Dean standing, looking at his brother in horror. "Dean? You with us?" I asked him but he stands there, frozen. "Dean! Before he has another fit." Bobby said and Dean shakes his head. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just get it over with." He said and he comes over to us and helps us tie Sam down to the bed.
And I start to wonder if what we are doing is the right thing to do. If anything...I think we are making it worse on Sam.
Dean and I were standing in one of the spare bedrooms while Bobby was in the living room, I was pacing around the room. "I'm gonna ask one more time. Are we absolutely sure we're doing the right thing?" I asked Dean. "(Y/n), you saw what was happening to him down there. The demon blood is killing him." He said and I shake my head at this.
"No, it isn't. We are." I said. "What?" Dean asked me, disbelief, and I stop my pacing and stand before him. "I'm sorry. I can't bite my tongue any longer. We're killing him. Keeping him locked up down there. This cold-turkey thing isn't working. If—if he doesn't get what he needs, soon, Sam's not gonna last much longer." I said. "No. I'm not giving him demon blood. I won't do it." Dean said, firmly.
"And if he dies?" I asked him. "Then at least he dies human!" Dean shouts at me and I jump back a bit at this. "Dean, you don't mean that." I said. "I'm sorry, (y/n). It's just...I would die for him in a second, but I won't let him do this to himself. I can't. I guess I found my line. I won't let my brother turn into a monster." He said.
“What if he doesn’t?” I asked. “What?” Dean asked, confused. “What if he doesn’t become a monster? Sure, he’s been acting different lately but it’s still Sam in there.” I said. “He’s got demon blood in him!” Dean exclaimed. “So do I! Did you forget that?! Hell, what if…” I began to say. “Don’t say it!” Dean growled, shaking his head slightly in irritation. “What if I take some demon blood too?” I suggested.
“Shut up, (y/n)!” Dean yelled at me. “No! Listen to me! I can control it.” I yelled back. “Stop.” Dean commanded. “You’ll see nothing happens to me and…” I started to say, but was interrupted by Dean lunging forward and grabbing me by my upper arms.
“I can’t lose you too!” He shouted in my face and I stared back at him, speechless. The rage on Dean’s face loses it’s strength and he now looks broken. “I…I can’t.” He said, his voice breaking. He lowers his head, loosening his grip on my arms. “I’m not strong enough.” He admitted, tearfully. My heart shattered hearing the heartache in his voice and seeing the look of defeat in his eyes. “Dean.” I whispered, my eyes welling up with tears.
“Please…just stop.” Dean pleaded, keeping his head lowered. I gently slip my arms free from his hands to pull him into a hug. Dean readily returns the hug, squeezing me tight and burying his face into my hair, like he was afraid to let me go.
"Okay...I'm-I'm sorry...I-I-I just...I just wanted to help." I stammered to him, in a whisper, as we continue to hold each other, I run my hand up and down his back. Then I feel him holding me tighter to him. "You're not gonna lose me. I promise." I whispered as I bury my face into his chest then raised my left hand to his chest and fiddled with the amulet that always hung around his neck.
*3rd Person POV*
After arguing with his hallucinations, the cuffs on Sam's arms and legs snap open then the door opens. Sam sits up, staring; he knows he didn't do this. "Hello?" He calls out but no answer. He gets up and slips out the door.
"Someone here?" He calls out and, again, no answer. Sam hurries quietly out of the basement without noticing Castiel behind the stairs. From a distance, the angel closes and locks the panic room door.
Later, Castiel stands at a railing of the riverfront, looking over the water. The streetlights flicker and he turns to see Anna standing there. "What did you do?" She asked him, a bit of fear in her voice. "You shouldn't have come, Anna." Castiel said, flatly.
"Why would you let out Sam Winchester?" Anna asked him. "Those were my orders." Castiel said. "Orders? Cas, you saw him. He's drinking demon blood. It's so much worse than we thought. Dean was trying to stop him." Anna said. "You really shouldn't have come." Castiel said just as two angels appear on either side of Anna. White light illuminates Castiel; when it is gone, so are the other three angels.
Castiel turns back to the river, staring out at the water. "What did you do, Cas?" A voice demanded and he turns to see Ariel standing near him, her face full of anger. "Ariel." He greets, plainly. "What did you do?" She asked again, emphasizing each word with anger. "Like I told Anna, my orders." Castiel said and Ariel looks at him, concerned.
“You can’t fool me, Castiel.” She said, Castiel tilts his head slightly, in confusion. “I see it on your face, you regret following those orders.” She said, Castiel turns away so she can no longer see his face.
“I am an angel of the Lord.” Castiel said, as if that would change anything. “Do not talk as if you don’t have a mind of your own.” Ariel sneered, crossing her arms. “I serve heaven, I do not serve man.” Castiel growled, turning slightly to glare at her.
“If that was true, you would not have taken Jimmy Novak back as your vessel after he pleaded for you to let his daughter go.” Ariel pointed out, Castiel averts his gaze. “You regret letting Sam Winchester out. Regret breaking Dean Winchester’s trust. Regret turning Anna over.” Ariel listed off and Castiel’s closes his eyes, trying to shut her words out.
“I do not feel any regret. I am simply following my orders.” He said. “And you’re only doing that because you’re scared.” Ariel replied, Castiel goes quite unable to rebut such a statement.
"They really did a number on ya, didn't they?" Ariel said as she looks him as Castiel stands there in silence. "You shouldn't be here." Castiel said and Ariel sighs and shakes her head. "I'm very disappointed in you, Castiel." She said before she disappears, leaving Castiel alone as he starts to feel a twinge of guilt.
Sam begins to work on stealing a car when a gun cocks behind him. "Uh-uh, Sam. The only place you're going is back inside with me." Bobby said, gun aimed at him, as Sam turns to him. "No." Sam said, firmly. "Damn it, boy." Bobby growls.
"You won't shoot me, Bobby." Sam said. "Don't test me." Bobby said, his voice slightly shaking. "You won't do it. You can't do it." said Sam. "We're trying to help you, Sam." Bobby said then Sam takes hold of Bobbh's shotgun so that he can't aim anywhere but point-blank at Sam.
"Then shoot." Sam challenges and there was a long pause before Sam takes the gun and knocks Bobby down, then throws the gun on the ground and returns to hotwiring the car.
Once he does that, he drives off.
*(y/n)'s POV*
Bobby, Dean and I unlock and open the panic room door after Bobby told us that Sam got out and knocked him out. "How the hell did he get out?" I asked, confused. "Maybe he had help. Room full of busted devil's traps." Bobby said. "Demons? Ruby." Dean said, questioning. "That'd be my guess." Bobby said.
"How did she even touch the door?" I asked them. "You two think she's got the mojo?" Bobby asked us "I didn't think so. I don't know, man." Dean said as I shrug. "What difference does it make? How he got gone ain't as important as where he got gone to." Bobby said.
"Well, I'll tell you one thing. At this point I hope he's with Ruby." Dean said. "Why?" I asked him. "'Cause killing her's the next big item on my to-do list." He replied. "I thought you were on call for angel duty." Bobby questions. "I am on call. In my car, on my way to murder the bitch." Dean growls as he leaves the room and Bobby and I follow him.
"One thing." Bobby said and Dean stops and turns to him. "What?" He asked. "Sam don't wanna be found, which means he's gonna be damn near impossible to find." Bobby said. "Yeah, we'll see." Dean mutters.
"Police found my car. Abandoned in an alley in Jamestown, North Dakota." Bobby tells us after about a few hours of research. "He's switching up." Dean said, a bit impressed. "Any other cars stolen in Jamestown?" I asked Bobby. "Two. 1999 Honda Civic, blue. Nice and anonymous, like Sam likes." Bobby said.
"What was the other one?" Dean asked him. "White oh-five Escalade with custom rims. It's a neon sign." Bobby replied. "You're right. He'd never take that. Which is exactly what he did." Dean said. "You think?" Bobby asked. "I know that kid. All right, (y/n) and I'll head in that direction. You stay here, ride the police databases. We gotta find him quick." Dean said and he and I walk out of Bobby's house and get into the Impala.
We had been on the road for awhile when Dean's phone rings. He pulls it out of his pocket then hands it to me to answer as he focuses on driving. I look to see it was Bobby calling and I push the answer call and put the phone on speaker
"Cops found the Escalade in a ditch outside Elk River." Bobby said. "How far away are we?" I asked him. "A couple of hours. I pulled up a weather map, made some calls. There's a town not far from there, Cold Spring. Lighting up with demon sign." Bobby replied. "A good place to look." Dean said, determined.
"Hey, listen." Bobby said, quickly. "What?" Dean and I asked. "Us finding Sam? It's gotta be about getting him back, not pushing him away." Bobby said and it seemed more that this was for Dean than for me, even though I am pissed at Sam as well. "Right." Dean mutters. "I know you're mad, Dean. I understand. You got a right to be, but I'm just saying. Be good to him anyway. You gotta get through to him." Bobby said but Dean doesn't respond.
"(Y/n)..." Bobby said. "Yeah?" I said. "Please, keep the peace between these boys." Bobby pleads and I look over at Dean, who rolls his eyes, slightly, as he keeps them on the road. "I'll try, Bobby." I sighed then I hang up.
We finally make it to the motel Sam was staying at and hide in the hallway. We looked around the corner and see Sam leaving a room. We watch him go then both of us enter the room, only to find Ruby inside.
She turns to us, surprised, then she begins to attack us and we do our best to fight her off until Sam comes in as I have ahold of Ruby and Dean starts to pull out the knife.
"No. Let her go. Just take it easy." Sam tells us as he pulls Dean away, grabs the knife out of his hand, then pulls me off of Ruby seconds later. "Well, it must've been some party you two had going, considering how hard you tried to keep us from crashing it. Well, solid try, but here we are." Dean said to him, angrily, as I go and stand next to him.
"Dean, I'm glad you two are here. Look. Let's just talk about this." Sam said. "Soon as she's dead, we can talk all you want." Dean growls then Sam turns to Ruby. "Ruby, get out of here." He tells her. "No, she's not going anywhere." Dean said but Ruby runs out and Sam watches her go.
"She's poison, Sam." Dean yells. "It's not what you think, Dean." Sam said. "Look what she did to you, Sam. I mean, she up and vanishes weeks at a time, leaves you cracking out for another hit—" I said to him, concerned. "She was looking for Lilith." Sam defends. "That is French for manipulating your ass ten ways from Sunday." Dean yells. "You're wrong, Dean." Sam said, firmly.
"Sam, you're lying to yourself. I just want you to be okay. You would do the same for me and for (y/n). You know you would." Dean yells. "Just listen." Sam said and he raises his hand then he realized he's still holding Ruby's knife that he took from Dean, and tosses the knife on the bed. "Just listen for a second. We got a lead on a demon close to Lilith. Come with us, guys. We'll do this together." Sam said.
"That sounds great. As long as it's you, me and (y/n). Demon bitch is a dealbreaker. You kiss her goodbye, we can go right now." Dean said but Sam shakes his head. "I can't." Sam said and Dean turns away, nodding. "Sam...you know this is crazy...." I said, trying to talk some sense into him. "(Y/n), I need her to help me kill Lilith. I know you and Dean can't wrap your heads around it, but maybe one day you guys will understand. I'm the only one who can do this, guys." Sam said and Dean turns back around.
"No, you're not the one who's gonna do this." Dean said and Sam scoffs. "Right, that's right, I forgot. The angels think it's you." He grumbles. "You don't think I can?" Dean asked him. "No. You can't. You're not strong enough. And neither is (y/n)." Sam growls and Dean glares at him.
"And who the hell are you?" He asked, angrily. "I'm being practical here. I'm doing what needs to be done." Sam yells. "Yeah? You're not gonna do a single damn thing." Dean said. "Stop bossing me around, Dean. Look. My whole life, you take the wheel, you call the shots, and I trust you because you are my brother. Now I'm asking you, for once, trust me." Sam pleads.
"No. You don't know what you're doing, Sam." Dean said. "Yes, I do." Sam said. "Then that's worse." Dean said, in a soft growl. "Why? Look, I'm telling you—" Sam started to say but Dean talks over him. "Because it's not something that you're doing, it's what you are! It means—" Dean said then he cuts himself off. "What?" Sam asked but Dean doesn't respond.
"No. Say it." Sam said as he has tears in his eyes. "It means you're a monster." Dean said and Sam nods. I bite my lips and tears roll down my cheeks when Sam punches Dean, making him go down hard. "SAM!" I shouted, shocked, as Dean gets back up, stares at Sam then Dean punches him.
"STOP!" I screamed and I go to stand in between them, holding my hands out to them. "Guys, stop, please!" I exclaimed. “Stay out of this.” Dean growled, grabbing me by my shoulders and pushing me out of the way. I lose my balance and fell onto the hardwood floor. I groaned at the now throbbing pain in my head, hearing things in the room break as boys fight.
I forced myself up, in time to see Dean crash through the divider and land on the glass coffee table that breaks on impact. He hits the floor and doesn’t get up.  Sam pins him down, choking him. "You don't know me. You never did. And you never will." He growled as he continued to choking him.
I raise my hand up and Sam goes flying back then lands on the floor. I keep my hand out as I use my powers to hold Sam down, glaring at him, while walking towards him. He slowly starts to get up but I do my best to hold him back, but he looked like he was fighting against the wind. Then he holds his hand out and I felt a force push me back and I plant my feet firmly against the floor.
“Look at what you're doing! You’re hurting your own family! This isn’t you Sam, it’s the demon blood! C'mon, you're smarter than this!” I shouted at him. “How would you know? You’re too weak to take any. This is me. This is me taking control of my own life for once!” Sam growls then he thrusts his hand forward and I felt a powerful force throw me back and I hit the wall then slide down.
I groan as I land on my front and hear Sam walking. "You walk out that door, don't you ever come back." Dean yells and I raise my head and look at Sam, who stops at the door and turns back, then leaves.

Forgiveness in Three Phases
So this came out of nowhere not gonna lie. Was actually trying to finish a Turtle Tots story but then @somerandomdudelmao Cass Apocalypse series ended and I ended up using that as the fire under my feet to write this. This isn't a fanfic of that series or anything, just a result of me needing to emotionally work out my feelings through writing, so I felt like I should mention the impact it had on me and this story. Regardless, you should read Cass Apocalypse series anyways because it's amazing and everything I ever wanted in a comic and I can't recommend it highly enough! Seriously read it if you haven't! You won't regret it!
As for this story, it's a little bit of an experiment I wanted to try out. This takes place post- ROTTMNT movie and is basically Leo having a talk with each of his brothers about his sacrifice. It seemed like a typical idea for the fandom to explore so I wanted to try something a little different to make it feel a little more unique.
This story is told non-chronologically. It jumps between three different points in time, the talk with Donnie, the talk with Mikey, and the take with Raph. There are points where it intersects but mostly it jumps freely between. I did my best to make it easy to follow but let me know if anyone struggles.
Anyways that's really it. Enjoy!

“Are you mad at me?”
“Yes,” Donnie replied instantly, leaning over the machine he was tinkering on, refusing to even look at Leo.
“No,” Mikey said before his gaze shifted. “Maybe a little.”
Raph sighed, looking so tired and small. “It's more complicated than that, Leo.”
“What you did was stupid, self-sacrificial, and incredibly selfish!” Donnie's teeth were grit together, fingers welding small strips of metal together, causing sparks of light to bounce off his goggles. “What gave you the right to throw your life away like that?! What made you think any of us would be okay with that?!”
“I'm more sad than mad, really,” Mikey confessed, stirring the broth he was making with shaky hands. His thoughts seemed to be a million miles away, detached from his current self. “I know it was a desperate situation and I know you were just trying to protect us but when that portal closed, I…” Mikey lost his voice, eyes flooding with tears. His gaze finally focused in on his brother. “Why did you have to leave us, Leo?”
“I mean I am mad. I'm furious, Leo! At you, at the Krang, at the whole awful situation we ended up in, all of it!” Raph growled, low and steady, the punching bag he had been mercilessly wailing on a moment before now a crumpled broken heap on the floor. His voice was barely a whisper as he finally added, “But more than that I'm mad at myself.”
“No!” Donnie shouted, cutting off any attempt for Leo to explain himself, slamming a fist so hard on his desk it made the walls rattle. He fully turned to face his brother, goggles still hiding his eyes. “No, I don't want to hear any of your excuses! I don't care that you're the leader! I don't care that you thought there was no other way! I don't care that it was the literal end of the world! I don't care! Nothing you say is ever going to justify me almost losing my twin!”
“It hurt us! It hurt us all so, so much!” Mikey shouted through his tears, dinner forgotten as he crumpled to his knees. “Raph and Donnie were just so broken. And sad. A-And I just couldn't… I can't-” Mikey threw himself at Leo, clinging to him with all he was worth. He held tight, sobbing and shaking and screaming incoherently as days and weeks of pent-up frustration and sadness bubbled freely to the surface. He held onto Leo so he couldn’t go away again.
Raph looked away, guilt washing over his face like a wave over sand. “I shoulda stopped you. I shoulda done somethin’.” Raph's shoulders slumped, like there was an unseen, oppressive weight pushing him down, threatening to crush him. “I'm the oldest, I'm supposed to keep you guys safe! Not you! It shoulda been me that got sent to the Prison Dimension. Instead, I let you make an impossible decision and it nearly killed you.”
Donnie finally tugged up his goggles, eyes glassy with falling tears, something small and vulnerable now filling the space between the two brothers. “I thought you died, Leo. For a minute I… I thought you were gone. I mourned you.” There was no anger in his tone anymore. He just sounded sad and broken and so, so tired. He turned back to his invention, whispering. “You made me mourn you, Nardo.”
It took a while before Mikey’s wails sounded like words again. “I can't lose you, Leo! I can't, I can't, I can't! I-I was s-so scared! And the magic hurt so bad! I just wanted to bring you home! Even if it brought Krang back! Even if it killed me! I needed you back!”
Raph plopped on the floor, the weight finally too much for him to stand. Leo sat down too, failing to find the words to say. “I'm sorry, Leo. For not being there for you. And I don't just mean with the Krang, even before that. I thought you just weren't taking anything seriously and showing off like always. I didn't realize how hard it all was for you. I shoulda understood.” He finally met his brother's eye with a tenderness that hadn't been there in so long. “Instead I kept fighting with you and pushing you and pressuring you, instead of just being there and supporting you the way I shoulda been. And maybe if I hadn't said all of that…” Raph let out a deep, soul-crushing sigh. “You wouldn't of sacrificed yourself the way you did.”
Leo crashed into Donnie’s back, burying his head into his torn shell, arms encircling his twin protectively.
He squeezed Mikey back, letting his own tears fall.
He reached out a hand, placing it over Raph’s own, finally meeting his big brother's eye.
“I'm sorry.”
“Your right, there is no excuse,” Leo admitted, words muffled as he buried himself a little further into the soft leather. “I never should’ve left you like that. I shouldn’t have hurt you or made you… think I was dead.” He choked back a sob, holding his twin just a little tighter. “I didn’t want to make that decision, I wanted to stay with you and Raph and Mikey and eat pizza and watch Jupitor Jim and argue about who’s the best at video games.” He couldn’t hold the sobs back anymore, crying into his twin’s shell, feeling the floodgates of his heart open, drowning him alive. But Donnie was here and there was safety in his presence, so he could keep on breathing. “I didn’t want to die and leave you alone.”
“I’m so sorry, Mikey,” Leo said gently, hands rubbing circles into his baby brother’s shell. “I’m sorry I left. I’m sorry I scared you. I shouldn’t have done that. I’m so sorry.” He kept mumbling soothing words, listening as Mikey’s breathing started to even out and the tears turned into small sniffles and chirps. Still, Leo didn’t release his brother, he just held him close, pouring all the love, comfort, and affection he had to give into their embrace. He felt Mikey return it back tenfold, soaking through his shell and warming him from the inside out. “I’m here now. I’m here. And I’m never leaving you again. I promise. We’re safe Mikey. You’re safe. It’s all over. I’m home.”
Leo nearly chuckled when Raph gave him a confused look. “What? Why are you so surprised? I thought that’s what you wanted to hear? I mean if anyone here has a lot to apologize for it’s me, not you.” His playful tone turned serious again, giving his big bro an apologetic smile. “Look, I know I haven’t been the easiest person to get along with lately, so I don't really blame you for any of what happened, before or after the end of the world. And you shouldn’t either. Not for a single thing.”
Donnie suddenly swerved in his chair and pulled Leo tightly to his chest. Leo was so shocked he just sat there frozen for a moment. “I’m not mad at you because of what happened to me, Nardo. I’m mad because of what happened to you. Because you thought your life was worth less than ours and you let yourself get hurt because of it. You nearly died because of it. And because you care so little about yourself, I thought it would help you avoid repeating obvious mistakes to see our perspective as well.” Donnie let out a small breath, resting his chin on Leo’s head, hands gently brushing over his shell. “Though perhaps I went about it the wrong way. Emotions aren’t my strong suit.”
Leo let out a wet chuckle, pulling away so he could wipe away the stray tears. “Same here. And sorry again… for everything.”
After what felt like a lifetime, Mikey spoke, voice choked and raw but still surprisingly strong. “Okay, I-I think I feel a bit better now.” He broke the hug, staring up at his big brother with misty eyes. “I needed that, I think.”
“We both did,” Leo agreed, kissing him on the top of the head.
Raph didn’t seem convinced, looking down at their hands instead of his brother. “I still shoulda stopped you from going into the Prison Dimension. You got so hurt.”
“Hey, that was my choice to make,” Leo said firmly, giving his brother an intense stare until he met his eye again. “And I don’t regret it. Just like how I know you don’t regret-” The words almost didn’t come and he had to swallow hard to get them out. “-jumping in front of me to save my life. It’s what leaders do.” He squeezed Raph’s hand as tightly as he could. “It’s what brothers do.”
“Yes, well, just don’t forget we care about you, dummy. Or we’ll be having this conversation again.” There was affection in Donnie’s tone, carefully reaching up to adjust Leo’s mask. However, the smile vanished a second later, hand gripping the mask tails and pulling hard. “And if you ever pull a stupid stunt like that again, I'll have both your legs surgically removed!”
“And you mean it,” Mikey asked in a soft, anxious tone. “You won’t do that again. Promise?”
Raph let out a long, pained breath, the tension seeming to leave his body a little, the creases in his brow fading. “Yeah, I guess it is. Just… promise me next time you won’t do it alone. Brothers help each other, too, y’know.”
Leo nodded, smiling. “I promise.”
Donnie nodded back, accepting the answer, turning back to his invention but allowing Leo to linger.
Mikey beamed brightly, moving back to the stove to try and salvage the burnt broth.
Raph gave his brother a toothy grin, opening his arms up for a hug. Leo melted into it.
“Soooo, do you forgive me?”
Donnie hummed in thought. “While I am still notably mad at you, I suppose I can accept your apology. You are lucky you are insufferably endearing.”
“Yeah I do,” Mikey said with such honesty and conviction it made Leo tear up again.
“Of course I do, Leo,” Raph rumbled, holding his brother close to his chest. He nuzzled the top of his head. “I already did.”
Leo hesitated, fearful of what he had to say next.
“Do you still love me?”
He held his breath, terror more powerful than the Krang or the Prison Dimension pounding against his chest.
Three brothers stared back and smiled.
“Always.”

Dialogue Prompt Superlist 1
"I think you need new suits boys. Most FBI agents don't run around with vamp blood on their suits."
"We have all tried saving everyone, and it doesn't work. At some point, we all have to accept that."
"Hunters, always thinking with their blades."
"So, you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" "You're not the devil."
"Take this, it'll protect you when I can't."
"Cute car." "Excuse you, but she is more than just cute."
"If I wanted to spend my life hunched over books and research, I would have gone to college."
"You're reckless." "Aren't we all?"
"Don't let the black eyes fool you, I'm very gentle."
"There are always issues in covens. That's why I practice on my own."
"I feel like a doomsday prepper down here." "It's the only place you're safe right now, so stop complaining."
"I'll kick your ass you tall son of a bitch."
"Just because I'm not a Winchester doesn't mean I'm clueless jackass."
"Maybe if you guys weren't so selfless, all your solutions wouldn't be to sacrifice yourselves for the good of mankind."
"If you think that I'm giving up Hell that easily, you are stupider than everyone says you are."
"This isn't fair, you know I can't say no to you."
"I know it's late, but do you think you can come over?"
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't think you were hot."
"It's not like we're exclusive."
"They say they're just friends." "We are!"
"Friends don't look at each other like that."
"For this bit of time, you are allowed to be obsessed with me, I won't blame you."
"There are easier places to sneak off to than this."
"It's not fair, you call my name and I Can't help but run off to you."
"Let's face it, we stopped being just friends the night we slept together."
"Careful, that one's a tease."
"I don't want us to be anything more than what we already are."
"It's casual sex. That's all, I swear."
"Your date is an idiot, but I'll have to thank them."
"IT's not a date, but I do have a bottle of wine and some lingerie that I'd hate to let go to waste."
"When it comes down to the wire, they'll have my back."
"I trust you." "Thank you."
"It's not a good plan, but it's a plan."
"I let you down once before, I won't do it again."
"If we're gonna win, we need to work together."
"I thought you hated each other." "Things change."
"That is it: the big one."
"I'm gonna fight until I can't fight anymore."
"People like us, they go down swinging."
"Drop your weapons... All of them."
"Nobody comes into my home and threatens me."
"I'm not doing this out of revenge, I'm doing this because it's the right thing to do."
"That was one hell of a fight." "Yeah, I've got the scars to prove it."
"I know that look in your eye because I've felt that pain too."
"We didn't lose, we just have to try again."
"We take care of each other, that's how it's always been."
"Somewhere along the line, I fell in love with you."
"It's not an ideal situation, but we can make it work."
"I'm here if you need to talk to someone."
"That wasn't your fault, not really."
"It's okay, let it out."
"If I ever let anything happen to you, I'd never forgive myself."
"All I wanted was to hear you say that you were sorry."
"You can't ask me to do that. You know I won't."
"Leave, just get out of here."
"Someone around here has got to keep you safe."
"I thought you hated me." "No, never."
"Tell me it's going to be okay, even if it isn't." "It's okay."
"Stuff like this, it takes time to get better."
"I meant it when I said I was going to do everything I can to earn your trust back."
"Shh, relax and close your eyes, just let yourself feel it."
"It feels good baby, doesn't it?"
"That's it, open your legs for me like a good girl."
"Use your words. Tell me what you want."
"Don't cum yet, wait and it'll feel so much better."
"I think you can push yourself a little harder. Come on, try for me."
"You are such a pretty little thing on your knees for me. I'm so proud of you."
"All of those noises you make when I'm in between your legs, it drives me crazy just thinking about them."
"Come here, it's okay. Let me hold you."
"I suppose you've been behaving yourself long enough to deserve a reward."
"Calm down, I would really hate to punish you."
"Do you want more?" "Please."
"You've taken good care of me, now let me take care of you."
"You like being pampered like this, don't you?"
"Please don't turn away from me, I want to see you."
"Shh, it's okay. I've got you."
"Breathe with me. Come on, in... and out, that's it."
"You don't have to hide your tears from me."
"Everybody needs a break sometimes, I get it."
"Crying doesn't make you weak."
"Please be careful, I don't want to see you hurt yourself."
"I shouldn't feel ashamed about needing help sometimes."
"I can't be everything to everyone."
"This isn't my safe space, you are."
"You really scared me back there." "I'm sorry."
"Can you just hold me for a couple minutes?"
"There's a lot to live for when you let yourself enjoy life."
"You don't have to be strong all the time, not with me."
"I don't know what I'd do without you." "You won't have to."
"I feel like I've worked so hard for so long and have nothing to show for it."
"I'm not saying this is illegal, but how okay are you with having a misdemeanor?"
"You are so lucky that you're cute."
"Come on, it's not even that big of an ask."
"There are certain things you only do for someone you've known for a long time."
"I never said I liked you." "But you didn't say you don't."
"Careful! You're gonna get us killed driving like that."
"You're being dramatic."
"Okay, you pump the gas and I'll get the snacks."
"No wonder you never made the team, what kind of throw was that?"
"What the hell is this?" "So nice of you to join us, take your seat."
"You look like you came from a boy band audition."
"I think I'm funny." "Of course you do."
"Look, this might not even be that big of a mess to clean up."
"If I die doing this, I am so haunting your ass."
"What was that?" "My cue to never let you watch Paranormal Activity again."

I hate having to bleed once a month :(
Im gonna think abt Monsignor Pruitt being a freak(affectionate) abt it to make myself feel better 🥴
This turned into a fic oops
Cw blood, period sex, mild dubcon/cnc?
———
Like if I happened to be working nearby, in the church or the rectory, he could probably smell the blood, it'd drive him crazy not knowing where it was coming from. Until I take a break, settled on the couch with a mug of tea and he is just staring from his desk, his head whipped up the instant the smell hit him.
He's a little concerned that I've apparently been bleeding all day until the penny drops. But God help him that scent has been driving him wild, and he's hungry. The exact source of the blood doesn't really matter to him, and if I'm bleeding anyway, it'd be a waste not to...
Father Pruitt gets up from his desk very slowly, moving towards me with the silent grace of a predator locked on it's prey. I jump when his hands land on my shoulders, luckily my tea is almost empty at this point. He takes the mug gently out of my hands and puts it aside, and before I can complain he's on his knees in front of me. The sight makes my protest die in my throat.
His eyes are shining, golden pupils blown wide as his hands part my knees. He's staring at me so intently, watching the blush rise in my cheeks as he hooks his fingers in my waistband and pulls down.
Father Pruitt only says one thing. He can smell it. He leaves the implications there as he bares my lower half and leans in, taking a deep breath. He'd normally like to draw this out, treat his partner gently, with a little romance, but he's starving. He dives his tongue in and moans at the combination of blood and arousal. He's already enthusiastic about eating out, but making it literal like this makes him downright feral. It certainly takes my mind off the soreness and cramps, just holding on to the arm of the couch and his hair for dear life, trying to stifle the noises I'm making.
He's holding my thighs open, so much stronger than he looks since being brought back, leaving brusies shaped like his fingertips. He's so relentless and I can't squirm away from the fierce attention, it's not long before I'm cumming in his mouth. Father Pruitt is delighted to realise the muscle contractions push more blood out, so his new goal is getting me to cum over and over so he can drink as much as possible from me.
The overstimulation is almost too much to handle, I'm damn near crying from how it's so good it hurts, but Father Pruitt won't let go or stop until he's done with me, determined to get every drop.
It's not until I give in and go limp under his brusing grip and relentless mouth, submitting to the pleasure, that he shows mercy. Though it might have more to do with him simply running out of blood and needing to breathe. He pulls back panting and entirely too smug. He wipes his face clean and leans up to kiss me, whispering praises and telling me how good I was for him, so obedient, so generous to sacrifice my comfort for his nourishment. Gently holding me until I can stop shaking from the too-many-orgasms, and making sure I'm okay, helping me get dressed again and letting me rest curled in his arms until he has to go to mass. ❤️
...that got long haha whoops. Do i dare tag the main fandom tags? I think i do 😏

Tumblr Plays Pokemon?
I have a sudden urge to play more pokemon.
Why?
Probably because I love pokemon. And also because I'm returning to some big time Faves. I'm rereading and rewatching One Piece, I've returned to writing a Voltron fanfic I started 3 years ago, and I am (once again) relistening to Discworld (I'm trying to pick something new up okay! But its hard, so very hard, to top Pratchett.)
With that in mind though I wanted to make this playthrough more interesting.
And so I want to try playing pokemon in a new way by exploiting Tumblrs polling system. Essentially I am going to leave it up to YOU to decide things like what starter I use and what pokemon I catch in each route/area. I'll do this by making a series of polls up to the point in which I have to fight a gym leader, rival battle, etc.
I'll have some control over this given I'll be making the poll, and obviously the results will rarely be unanimous given the nature of how the polls themselves function. After all there is a limit of 8 options per poll, so in later games when there are multiple pokemon available on each route, multiple polls may need to be created to narrow down a choice.
And this isn't including the fact that you all may vote for me to abstain from capturing any pokemon on a certain route until later. Some routes in some pokemon games, after all, can hide deceptively good pokemon that you can only obtain by returning there after obtaining an essential HM.
So thats it right? Tumblr gets to decide what pokemon I can catch and who will be on my team?
Oh but tumblr. Dear sweet Tumblr. My wonderful followers.
I want to make it more interesting than that.
You see the thing I looove about pokemon are the stories you can tell. All the different team compositions, all the little characters your pokemon can become as you play, and all the little ways you can make the game potentially more difficult, yet oh so very interesting at the same time.
With that in mind I propose a set of... RULES.
I can only catch a single pokemon from every route (otherwise the polling is just pointless)
I can only catch a single member of every evolutionary family (no armies of eeveelutions, Sorry gang, I like them but thats been done to death.) So no owning multiple members of the same evolutionary family.
I can only attempt to catch a pokemon ONCE and if I fail I can never catch a member of that species again. Fail to catch Pidgey on route 1? Well too bad, looks like I dont get Pidgey, Pidgeotto, or Pidgeot for the WHOLE GAME. (This is to make the catches more memorable/meaningful and consequential.)
I can only have a single pokemon from every type. This makes every team member essential and meaningful and consequential. No bulking myself up with a team of only psychic types.
The team can have no repeat natures. Our team needs varied personalities after all! Personalities that are too similar will clash and mess with team synergy!
If we have to have a dedicated team member for HMs, then they're going to be a full member of the team and count towards the typing AND nature rules. No mules or slaves on this team. If we have a Bibarel for the HMs then they're GONNA be a member of the team.
All these rules are rather restrictive, BUT they will make the polls you guys vote in more consequential!
Do you vote to skip a route to try and get a better pokemon later? Do you vote for a weaker earlier route pokemon for early type advantage while passing up on bigger powerhouses down the line? Do you sacrifice having dedicated type coverage in favor of having a reliable HM user to access more areas, items, tms, etc? Do you vote for a pokemon with a lower easily achievable catch rate, or risk your vote on a higher stronger catch?
Do you vote for the popular pokemon you know everyone will vote for? Orrr do you decide to make the voting, and subsequent results, more interesting by voting for an underdog?
I'm certainly interested in finding out.
But before that, a decision needs to be made.
((I still have an active save for ScarVio and I'm still iffy on how to adjust certain rules for its open world setting which is also why I'm leaving SwSh out for now. If this turns out successful, we could maybe hash out how to apply the ruleset to those games down the line but for now I'm just putting in the limitations for my own convenience XD))

Alright, some of this is hitting me in a way that neither of us could have expected. I talked with you earlier about Entrapta's background story hitting me hard with some things I've been through... Okay, now you've got discussion between Catra and Glimmer about Angella's demise, which neither of them actually expected. Little aggravations at a loved one, little memories and deseprately wanting them back. Glimmer chooses to believe that it was a sacrifice on her mother's part in order to hold it together. *Sigh* - this is very personal. I just lost a loved one, a very close family member also best-friend, a person I had a unique geeky bond with and it's the kind of bond I'll never have again. He was the third member of my tiny little found family and we had him up for holidays and that's never happening again. We learned of his death yesterday and I've just been going through Hell. He was young and it was sudden - he had some health issues, but it was still unexpected. It wasn't a heroic sacrifice, but there are things I need to believe about it to hold myself together. I'm flashing back to Entrapta's seeing a tear in space-time to know what's on the other side. I remember what canon did and what you're looking forward to doing to a cruel fundamentalist version of a god while I'm flashing back to some of my old religious trauma hard right now - as in, I'm really, really hoping the fundies / evangelical circles I used to be a part of aren't right and have been outright Hordak-style *threatening* God to do the right thing by my loved one, possibly sealing my fate if there is a Hell and being glad of it. This portion of the script is coming at the "right?" time for me? Wrong time? I am hoping I can find some catharsis in it? Anyway, I do apologize for any reblogs I do in the near future in which I blubber all over your posts. I'm holding steady, but it's probably going to happen sooner or later. _freedfromthegalactichivemind
@freedfromthegalactichivemind Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I would always say that looking after yourself is the most important thing, and if any of my posts do bring up stuff that makes it more difficult for you, please do take a break. I'm the worst person for "deal with stuff by totally immersing yourself in it", and that doesn't always work, so do take it slow and be kind to you. This goes for everyone, too.
There's a few things that I have taken to quite a raw level in these last two seasons and I've come out of the comfort of non-stop silliness in order to have a more meaningful impact on people. But I don't do it to hurt, these stories will ultimately become ones of comfort and power. I've expanded on Prime's zealotry to be a more bare-faced depiction of the anti-LGBT rhetoric that we're seeing worringly often in real life and how weathering it seems insurmountable - but he will be defeated by people who stand fast and remain true to who they are, people who will never ever let those like him win. I've also leaned in pretty hard to Catra's fragile mental health, not because having her talking about how she wants to kill herself is shocking and spices up the story, but because I want to have her reach that lowest point multiple times and still fight for a life that she wants to live. I've been there, as I'm sure many people reading this have - it's messy, but it is not the end.
So yeah, I make the choice to invoke difficult things that might hit some of you quite hard, but I do it with the love and intention to show that perseverance through adversity is one of the hardest, most rewarding things any of us can do. (Also, I know some of this can get quite personal, you're welcome to blubber at me through DMs if you prefer).
We're gonna win in the end.

Okay, so here's the thing. I believe we've established the fact that Lance is David's son to his very core. Not very outgoing, heart of gold, a fighter, a survivor. Plus he believes everything Max does is cool and if we bring IALS into the mix he is pretty obsessed with Max so I'd say definately David's child.
And then he goes around and pulls shit like this and my brain just goes: "He is also Max's son sucker!", because honestly that was such a Max move, I needed a moment to remind myself this was Lance's chapter. The "my papa loves me so much that when I die he'll be devasted so I'll make him hate me by being a cunt so he won't be devastated when I'm gone" move that Lance made? Not an original buddy! It's already been done, by your dad, when he made his bapak believe that he'll sacrifice him when he was actually planning on sacrificing himself. And guess what? It did not work! And it will not work for you either Lance! (Note to Lance, have Gwen pass it on to him please?). And I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Max won't know about it until quite later onto the plot? I mean he'll know that something is up with Lance but he will mention it to David and he'll be like "Mon ange please leave it alone" . Because I feel like if he does catch on about what Lance said to David he'll confront him about it and Lance will tell him the truth about why he said what he said. And if that happens I need Max to tell him this story. I need him to know that his thing he does is never gonna work. Oh god, so much pain.
I'm not even gonna talk about the Theia stuff because it also reminds me of TLND Max. When he pretended that David was trivial to him when David was his everything? Why is Lance picking up Max's coping mechanisms, Lance buddy you're smarter than this! Oh can someone please tell him that making the live of his life believe he isn't worth it didn't work with David and it won't work with Theia either? Again, painn
Here's something I didn't expect to hurt me as much as it did. Mavid. Did David seriously lie to Max? When did those two get to the point where they lie to each other? I mean hide stuff from each other is something but straight up lying in each other's faces? That's another thing altogether. What I'd happening to them and can someone please snap their heads straight and remind them that they are Max and David and it's them against the world and they should be inseparable instead of lying to each other?? Also, did Max go to see Mina? I feel like he went to see Mina, even though I'm secretly hoping it's Rafael. I have a wild imagination.
Also, the "your love gets people hurt" like from IALS making it to LBAF hurts a lot more than it should, Dani whyy😭 And please explain what happened to my sweet baby AJ, was he sad because of Régine( whom I want to smack almost as much as her mother at this point) or was it something else?
I'm sorry if this is long or blant, it's literally all my thoughts while reading this I couldn't contain them. But hey, here are some tik toks I found to make the pain a little better.
This audio feels like Theia and Cami talking about Lance and it makes me laugh so hard😂
Not exactly happy but this soundtrack when Lance closes the door after the whole Mia/Theia fiasco
A little gift for Arthur( and the rest of us Kincaid stans)
Again not very happy but this is Rafael about Max isnt it?
FMF Max about his husband probably
This is giving me serious Lance/Max vibes watching Theia/David unleash their anger on someone
Max/David and Lance/Arthur dynamic?
Okay that's it for noww🌷
PS: I'm so sorry your work is keeping you so busy these days, I hope you find the strength to push forward and end all your work while also find little things to make you happy and make it a little better💛
MAN, I NEED THIS AFTER THE DAY I HAD. THANK YOUUUU.
I'm so glad to see you noticed that Lance pulled the EXACT same move Max did in Edom. Except Max's thing only lasted like two days 😬. Max will notice it (only a little). But it's Arthur who notices it first (my perceptive babygirl). We'll talk about this whole thing later. It's like a whole plot point so yeah we have time :)
TLND David and LBAF Theia be like "that sign can't stop be because i can't read" lol.
Also, I'm not sure what you meant by the "lying" bit. Were you referring to the part where David lied about him being the car instead of Lance? Also, interesting how you differentiate between lying and omission because Max is hiding some pretty big stuff from David 😅
Arthur was sad because Kincaid didn't acknowledge him at the party and pretended like he didn't know Arthur 😕 (also he danced with Theia which made Arthur realize he won't get to dance with Kincaid like that)
Thank you for the tiktoks, bebe. That cami and theia tiktok was ON point and the FMF one made me giggle looool. Also, that last dynamic is David/Lance 🥰
Work got busy because of my own dumb-assery because I wanted to work with some new people and took on some new work and now i am regret. But it's a short project and should be over by November so I just need to survive this cursed month.
ALSO I REALLY HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR BRAZILIAN GP BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE GOOD, FAM.
Loooooooove you.

It's basically me analysing things with Yon Rha again, but withot being too offensively unempathic and biased, lol
Hey, I'm trying, you can give me that at least!
(Perhaps if I didn't ignore all my notifications, I'd get it faster, but hey, I quite enjoy my little intellectual puzzle here so far. Don't wanna spoil it for myself with interactivity, lol)
Okay, thinking of Katara's encounter with Yon Rha not through the prizm of my zutara brainrot now (not gonna pretend it is not affecting my judgment, it most definitely still is, lol), maybe I'm not giving enough credit to the cognitive/informational component of this event.
(Your honour, there are so many components in here, and whose components have components on their components! You can't expect me to juggle all of them at the same time and not ending up like Zuko during his date with Jin, lol)
Previously I said it was a fruitless trip, but I didn't really take into account the specifics of the case - the ones connected to learning Yon Rha's side of the story and seeing him as a person, - as well as more subtle psychological consequences of the encounter. But as I said early, I'm not a psychologist (also, not the most emphatically gifted person around, as you already can tell I guess, yikes), and my understanding of intricacies of such inner workings is quite limited.
Also, there is a thing to consider - I don't know much about the writer, and how psychologically competent she was. Of course, I could go full "author is dead" approach here and try and read really hard into this case as if it was a real life event (I wouldn't be surprised if someone much more competent than I already did it though), but... I'm trying working through "what author really implied by this" logic when analysing tSR because I respect the writer's ability to build a coherent psychological narrative within her work - given how ambitious she was with the complexion of chosen topics, you'd expect no less from her. Just throwing a bunch of random events on your audience end expect them to built their customised narrative out of it may be a fun postmodern game, but... Just but, I guess.
What I'm saying here is that there's two things about the encounter that can be easily noticed even by most casual watchers but not by me apparently geez.
First of them is that Katara learns there was a reason behind her mother's death - namely, Katara's waterbending. Oh boy. What can I say? I guess the girl could live without the guilt and painful associations connected to her bending produced by the knowledge. Another point to my "maybe facing Yon Rha wasn't such a great idea after all" argument, I guess.
Still, it was important for Katara to learn about her mother's last moments and sacrifice. It was pretty insensitive of me to overlook this fact in my previous analysis (... and I can only imagine how many people I potentially pissed off by this, oops. In my defence though - the whole "revenge" context was pretty distracting). I guess you can't call the trip completely fruitless then - althouht the fruits, may I say, were bittersweet at best and sour at worst.
(Thinking about it now, it's kinda curious that the only truly valuable thing Zuko got from his "closure" with Ozai well, except for the valuable opportunity to practice his lightening redirection was information about his mum as well, even though it wasn't his initial intention. Was it a deliberate parallel, I wonder?
... Wait a minute, why it wasn't Zuko's intention though? It would make much more sense, if you ask me. Oh well, I guess writers had too many things to juggle on their hands as well.)
Another thing is that at the start of the episode Yon Rha was a "monster" for Katara, and then he became just an empty sad man to her. I take it as a deliberate point the writer made. But what exactly does it mean within the narrative? Just a fact of life? A thing for Katara (and audience) to reflect on with no real consequences within the plot?
Or was Yon Rha's personality somehow connected to why Katara forgave Zuko, after all? But how, exactly?
I can only think of juxtaposition. "Look at this guy, Zuko is not so empty and cares about his mum, hence he's worth of forgiveness" kind of logic. But... I mean, Zuko has many problems obviously but emptiness was never one of them, lol. It still counted, perhaps - amongst other small weights on the scales (the weight of it depends entirely on Katara's previous assessment of Zuko's personality though, and I have reasons to believe it wasn't so unflattering at this point).
Does this whole 'cognitive' perspective rearrange my understanding of the reasons behind Katara's forgiveness of Zuko? Yep.
Looking at the trip as meaningful for Katara now (Zuko helped her to learn about her mother's sacriface), it makes much more sense to me. Many of my previous arguments still stand, but the weight shifted more towards platonic reasons (I mean, on one hand, this reason is linked to their connection in Ba Sing Se and reinforces it, but on the other, it's a rational reason for forgiveness, as opposed to irrational ones).
Which feels more appropriate by being less shippy, even though it was fun to compose bizzare conspiracy theories about secretly coded zutara puzzle left by the writer for us to decipher, lol (Your honour, the writer was zutara, it wouldn't be that unlikely!)
It's all about interpretations though. As I said, there are so many components in here you can easily transform the context by shifting the weights as you like.
(Ugh, my posts manage to become obsolete so fast. But hey, it's my live thinking process you're looking at, what do you expect, lol?
I'm not trying to create perfect things for people to repost or something. It's just me playing with my mind to relax. It's nice.)

HER (Chapter 3)
After work, Tanya and I met in a coffee shop like we promised yesterday. "So, what are you going to ask me yesterday? And how are you? Gosh, it's been awhile since we saw each other" there goes Tanya Tucker the talkative among us. "Well, I just came here for the internship programme in Vernmore Campus. So just wondering if I can rent a house near the campus. If you know anyone?". "Y/n, seriously? You asked me if I know anyone? Come on, you can stay with me if you want. Don't trouble yourself". It's not like I don't want to stay with her, I thought I'll be disturbing. "Really? Can I?" I asked her for real and she's not kidding about it.
Okay that's easy, I should pay her a bit for the rent. "Btw Y/n tell me, how's your intern going? Any handsome guy... Or girl" she smirked at me after she mentioned a girl. "Going smoothly maybe..." Should I mention Miss Dawson? "But there's this supervisor... Should I say supervisor? Well it's like I'm working under her and I think she hates me." I'm expressing what I felt until "is she beautiful?" seriously Tanya? "I don't know, maybe if she treats me nicely. Then I consider it." After an hour's catch up on the things we missed, Tanya and I went home.
The first week working in Vernmore actually went well despite having a cold heart "supervisor". Not gonna lie, I may be bored sometimes working under Miss Dawson and hoping to work under Mr. Edward, his kinda fun. So btw today, I'm going to pack my stuff to leave with Tanya. Saying goodbye to my mother and lil' bro is kinda painful but I have no other options. After all the packing finished, Tanya asked me if I wanted to follow her to meet her "man" and get dinner together with them. I refused her invitation just to get some rest (on a weekend night). "Resting is for old people, y/n... Fine, promise me tomorrow we go out for a special dinner down the street. It's on me" she said. I know this time I can't refuse it so I nodded to her.
In a silent room, I just thought about asking Miss Dawson whether I should teach the students for the next chapter this upcoming week or not. I sent her a message hoping she will reply to it fast so that I can prepare
30 minutes later *seen*. "Omg, did she just seen and don't reply to my text? What is wrong with her?" I'm a bit frustrated with her but there's no use getting angry now. I try to calm myself and just prepare for next week without any help from what so ever called "supervisor".
The next day. My 4 friends including me went shopping, having fun at the karaoke for hours and hours like girlfriends always do and before we went back, I had promised Tanya to have this special dinner down the street. The "special dinner" she meant is actually a street food. Classic!
We do enjoy our foods until I get distracted by a familiar car across the street. Is that Miss Dawson's car? Tanya saw my face change all of a sudden and she asked why. "I think that's the heart cold woman's car", she is looking straight away at what I am pointing to. "That's your supervisor's car? Damn, you need to hide fast y/n, before she sees you". I'm not going to hide or run away. I'm just curious, I just saw her in the bar near her car. Alone. I ask them to go home without me first so that I can get to see Miss Dawson alone in that bar.
As I walked inside the bar, the bartender said they were going to close soon because it's almost 2am. "Okay, but I'm going to see that lady over there" I pointed out to her. "Oh you know her? Thank goodness, please take her home. She's been drinking a lot." I nodded to him and walk inside the bar to get Miss Dawson. I try to carefully wake her up "Miss Dawson, you need to wake up. The bar is almost close" but she just softly murmur to me back.
I try to stand her up to walk through the door "excuse me miss, you need to pay before you leave". Damn, I have no choice but to sacrifice my only money in my bag. I guide her carefully as we go out but she's going towards her car. "Miss Dawson, let me bring you home. You can't drive alone while you are dru.. unconscious" I try to think carefully about my words before I speak. So she just follow me behind through my car.
Luckily I saved her address in my waze and I start to heat the engine. Before I can drive , I see from my side eyes that she's sleeping peacefully at the other side of the seat. I'm not going to make any noise.
(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤(◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Okay, this episode is a bit boring to me XD
- What will happen when y/n bring back Kate Dawson to the house?

enabler anon strikes again with a …. non-fic related question? woah! it’s still gonna be a ramble for you though, so i hope it works out either way :3
what’s your favourite / least favourite ninjago season, why? you can add multiple if you can’t specifically choose! (this is me getting to know you so we become mutuals when i scooby doo mask-reveal myself)
Okay, neat word choice - we "become" mutuals? Which either means I follow YOU, you follow ME, or we are forcibly going to follow EACH OTHER at some point? This is getting INTERESTING. Yeowch.
Anyway: I've got a couple for Various Reasons!
Skybound should be obvious - sure, it's not of the highest/most consistent quality, but it is a GOLDMINE for analysis work. The nice thing about loose threads, gaping holes, and inconsistencies is they open up a LOT of avenues for expansion and investigation. I show up to every Skybound viewing with a shovel, ready to dig from rock bottom... but you know that already, I hope.
When I want something that's a lot more solid, I tend to turn to Seabound! I absolutely ADORE Kalmaar (as nice as it is to have a villain with a well-crafted backstory and motive, sometimes it's just fun to have someone who's nuts for no particular reason!) and you know I love a Nya focus. Sure, this season has issues like any other, but I found that it is solid enough to stand on its own when I want something that's just pure good storytelling. Also, it's the only season that has EVER made me cry. Zane's death didn't do it. Garmadon's sacrifice got half a sniffle. Even Nya's original Skybound fake out barely got me, but that eulogy scene.... eugh. I still remember the first time I watched it, actually. I had just gotten back from class and I was wearing all black that day, and the very first thing I did was sit down on my bed and watch it. It was like a little private funeral in my room. Very surreal.
I've also fallen in love with Dragons Rising s1! Besides the obvious Skybound acknowledgement and VERY strong evidence for a future djinn-lore-expanding installment (they can't do all THAT and just leave it!!!! no!!!! we're getting something!!!), it's also just pure fun! Something about it just makes me smile. I didn't expect to like it as much as I ended up enjoying it, but I like the balance of ringing in the new and building on the first 12 years of lore.
As for my least favorites - this is going to get me kicked outta the fandom, but I'm really not fond of the Oni Trilogy. At all. To be fair, I respect how tightly woven it is, but it felt like they were trying to shoehorn in a lot of lore at once, and it just doesn't work for me now. I loved it the first few times around, but something about it just feels weird and overblown now. And the piss jokes. I can't stand toilet humor, so whenever I see Dareth in OT, I just. Yuck. Also, I respect Harumi as a VERY well-built villain (we love erratic teenage girl behaviors and the consequences of earlier seasons), but she just grates on me. Mystake kicked ASS, though. Gone too soon. I want to make a replica of her cardigan someday.
I'm also not fond of Hands of Time, but that's more because of the quality of it - it's really so bad it's good. Hatewatch material at its finest.
thanks for dropping in!!!

for the fic ask game: 7 & 18 (praying i remembered the numbers right)
& since no 19 says to tell you about my favorite one of your fics im gonna take that chance to talk about run boy run again 🤷 i jumped on the rbr train a bit after chap 1 was posted and davey in that fic literally consumes my thoughts 😀 whoops. (i could write essays about this fic) chap 4 is gonna be like a national holiday to me you dont even know
also shoutout to vice vermin virtue bc i held off reading it due to an aversion to wing fics & i was so delighted by it when i finally did?? 10/10 as always
sneep :( im gonna cry. you're genuinely such a sweet person and you're always so kind and i just aaAHHHH cause like. you're just NICE for NO REASON and i love it i love it so much. full disclosure i am having a Time at work and i can feel myself going back down to Cynicism Town which i hate, but seeing you take time out of your day to just leave a comment or some nice tags or anything at all it's just UGH it makes me feel Better. people can just be nice!! for NO reason at all!! and you are one of those people and i appreciate that so much!! ok time for the asks
7. What’s a troupe you love to write?
any variation of dislike to lovers. whether its just a general sort of mistrust of each other at first that then grows into a deep and profound understanding of the other (eg livesies javid), a onesided 'i have responsibilities i need to do and i don't really trust you but you seem to REALLY want to stick around me for some reason and oh dear oh no it's working' thing (eg uksies javid) or a full on hatred of each other that forces the characters to confront their own biases, their own fears, their own personal reasons for wanting SO BADLY not to like the other person, only to realize that person understands them so much (eg arcade au or pianist au)... i giggle and kick my feet over that so much.
18. Recommend someone else fic! (And tag them if they have a tumblr!)
i dont like tagging people outright in case it bothers them but 'Long I Stood' by @/stillusesapencil on AO3 :) all while i was reading this fic i kept thinking 'oh okay so this isn't going to end with like everything working out. they're definitely gonna break up but like learn from each other and stuff, it's gonna be that kind of bittersweet thing' - which would've been fine! there is absolutely value in endings like that, i have plenty of fics like that that i love. but i was so so happy to see that that wasn't the case at all for this fic because it MAKES SENSE. there are plenty of fics that do the whole 'life just doesn't work out that way but you can still appreciate what you had when you had it!' ending - which again, i still like if it's done in a satisfactory way! - but the whole point of the fic is that 'actually, your life CAN work out that way. you DESERVE to have the life you want. you are ALLOWED to want that life, and you do not need to expect punishment for persuing it'. i don't cry much over fictional things but i did legit cry a little over this ending. it's just so hopeful and so kind. 'life can be good. you do not need to suffer or sacrifice in order to deserve good things. you CAN have what you want, you just need to be willing to make it work.' it makes me feel a lot better whenever im going to Cynical Town - honestly the more i think about it is a VERY sneepcoded fic. i know pretty much everyone's read it - it's pretty popular - but i just love it so very much so i'm recommending it anyways.
the ask game is here if anyone else wants to throw something out there!

Disgaea 7 DLC Episode: Shantae
Part 1: Shantae, Half Genie Hero
Long haired girl: "Finally! We're in Hinomoto! I still can't believe we get to go on another trip so soon!"
Hooded girl: "Hopefully this'll be better than our last one."
Zombie girl: "I'm just glad I didn't have to hide inside Snack Cake's luggage again."
Long haired girl: "It's too bad Uncle Mimic and Bolo can't join us this time. Whatever project they're working on now must be really big for them to miss out."
Hooded girl: "There you go, worrying about other people while on vacation again. What's the point of leaving if you can't relax?"
Long haired girl: "I know. You know I can't help myself sometimes, Sky."
Zombie girl: "So, what should we do first? I don't know about you two, but I feel like getting a good warm up now that we're on the ground."
Long haired girl: "That's a great idea, Rotty. In fact, I think there's a small event going on nearby here. Let's check it out."
-later...-
Pirilika: "Come one! Come all! Test your strength, speed, and skills as you try to obtain the rice ball from Fuji's hand!"
Fuji: "I still can't believe I agreed to do this."
Pirilika: "What's wrong, Fuji? I thought you'd like this idea. After all, you get a good fight and we get to rake in a small bit of cash for our trip."
Fuji: "Yeah, normally, I'd agree with you, but do we have to sacrifice my rice balls?! I've been looking forward to eating these all day!"
Pirilika: "I told you, I'll get you some more when we're done."
Fuji: "Says the girl that has yet to get her hands on some soba."
Pirilika: "T-That's a minor detail! I promise I'll take care of you Fuji. Just please trust me!"
Fuji: "Ugh... at least I'll know who to blame if I starve..."
Long haired girl: "Oh, this looks pretty fun to try out."
Sky: "I don't know. Something seems off about this."
Pirilika: "Don't worry, there's no trick! All you have to do is grab Fuji's rice ball before time runs out and you win a prize."
Long haired girl: "What's the prize?"
Pirilika: "Any one of these adorable little costumed prinny plushies! What do you think? Each one is based off of a popular Hinomoto style"
Rottytops: "These prinnies... oh my gosh! So adorable! That one looks all bold and daring in its armor, and that one in a majestic dress, and... oooh!"
Fuji: "Hey, is she okay? They're just prinnies."
Sky: "She's mainly focused on the clothes their wearing."
Long haired girl: "Rottytops is a bit of a cosplayer."
Pirilika: "A cosplayer?! Get! Out! What are the odds, Fuji?!"
Fuji: "I can hear you, Piriko. Stop shouting."
Rottytops: "Snack cakes, we need to get those plushies."
Long haired girl: "I had a feeling you'd say that. Leave it to me." pays the fee for the attempt.
Fuji: "So you're my first opponent for today. I hope you're ready, because I'm about to do my worst."
Long haired girl: "You bet! I'm Ret-2-Go! That rice ball is mine!"
Part 2: Sky & Rottytops, the Disfuctional Duo
Fuji: "Time's up, kid! No rice ball for you!" Munches
Long haired girl: "No fair! You were playing dirty the whole time!"
Fuji: "You think I" munch "give a damn" munch "about that?" munch "I'm a demon."
Sky: "I tried to warn you, Shantae. After all, he did say he was going to do his worst."
Rottytops: "Well, if he wants to play dirty, then it's only fair we play dirty too. I'm not going to give up on those plushies." pays the fee for the attempt
Pirilika: "Woah, wait a minute, I didn't say more than one person can-"
Fuji: "Piriko, it's fine. If they want to stay in the Netherworld, they're gonna have to come up with ways to bend the rules."
Pirilika: "But weren't you complaining about possibly losing your rice cakes earlier?"
Fuji: "I don't know what you're talking about. If they want to group up, let them. It'll be more fun for me this way."
Pirilika: "I-If you say so..."
Sky: "You won't be so smug once I feed that rice ball of yours to Wrench right in front of your face."
Rottytops: "Wait, can war birds eat rice?"
Sky: "Focus!"
Rottytops: "Well, I could if your taunts didn't raise any questions!"
Sky: "It's not like you're smart enough to come up with a better one."
Rottytops: "My brother's hamster could think of something better than whatever you just said."
Pirilika: "Are they really going to be okay?"
Shantae: "I really want to root for them, but your guess is as good as mine."
Fuji: "So much for team work. Looks like this will be an easy victory."
Part 3: Friends to the End.
Fuji: "And that's time! I gotta say Piriko, this is a lot more fun than I expected." Munch
Sky: "Rottytops, this is completely your fault!"
Rottytops: "How's it my fault when you were the one holding back and barking the whole time?!"
Sky: "I was trying to talk to Wrench so we can distract him! If you listened to me, we would have won!"
Shantae: "Hey, stop fighting! We're never going to win if we keep each other apart."
Pirilika: "She's right. Beam work makes the meme work!"
Fuji: "First, it's "team work makes the dream work" and second, whose side are you on?!"
Shantae: "I know we don't see eye to eye all the time, but if we unite as one as a true team, than there's nothing that can stand in our way. We can show just how much more powerful we are together than apart. What do you say?"
Sky: "Shantae, we're just trying to win some plushies, it's not that serious... But I get what you're saying."
Rottytops: "Same. Snack cakes is usually right about these things. I'm sorry for yelling at you, Sky."
Sky: "Right back at you."
Shantae: "That's the spirit. So, you two ready for one more round!"
Sky & Rottytops: "Yeah!"
The three of them pay the fee for the attempt.
Pirilika: "Thank you so much. Good luck everyone!"
Fuji: "Funny. All that team work talk should have triggered my allergies right now. I guess my adrenaline must be keeping me going for now."
Rottytops: "I hope you're ready to lose, this time, Fuji! There's no way you'll make it pass the three of us!"
Sky: "We'll have you cornered by the time you blink."
Fuji: "You sure as hell gotten confidant. All the more reason for me to do my worst!"
Shantae: "It's all or nothing this time! We're Ret-2-Go!"
-after the battle...-
Fuji: "D-Dammit! My precious rice ball!"
Shantae: "We... we did it! We got the rice ball!"
Sky: "We actually pulled it off, just in the nick of time too."
Rottytops: "We won! Woohoo! It's time to celebrate!"
Pirilika: "Congratulations, everyone! You managed to beat Fuji and won our prize! Each of you are granted your own prinny plushie!"
Shantae: "Wait, we each get a plushie?"
Pirilika: "Of course. Since you all won, it's only fair."
Fuji: "Piriko, that'll only encourage other people to gang up on me!"
Pirilika: "I thought you said it wasn't a problem, Fuji."
Fuji: "It WILL be if it means less people will be spending money on the attempts."
Pirilika: "Oh, you're right. Maybe I should do a quick price adjustment before more people come. For now though, go ahead and pick your prinny, everyone."
Rottytops: "Finally! Which one should I pick? They're all so cute!"
Sky: "I guess I'll go with the Shogun prinny. Something about it makes me laugh a little inside."
Shantae: "I'll take the Maiko prinny. I heard that these are incredibly popular dancers in Hinomoto. Plus, that dress is beautiful."
Rottytops: "Aww, I was gonna pick that one. Then again, this Jiganshi Prinny looks pretty cute."
Pirilika: "I'm glad you all like them. I can't wait to start producing the actual clothing later."
Shantae: "Thank you so much for this... Piriko was it?"
Pirilika: "It's Pirilika, and you're welcome."
Sky: "Alright, now that we stretched out legs, I'm ready to start relaxing. Hopefully the Haunt Springs aren't too crowed right now."
Rottytops: "I'm curious to try out the different types of coffee they serve around here. Maybe they'll have some with rotten eggs."
Shantae: "Come on, we have plenty of time to try out everything in Hinomoto. No need to rush it."
Fuji: "Let me guess, you're all on vacation?"
Shantae: "Yup! This is actually our second one together."
Pirilika: "In that case, why don't you come with us? Fuji and I are exploring Hinomoto too. We can act as your guide and you can stay with us on our ship."
Shantae: "Hmm... now that you mentioned it, I haven't really thought about where we'd be staying. How much for the rooms?"
Pirilika: "It's free."
Fuji: "Piriko!"
Pirilika: "Fine... It's free... if you help us out with a few things from time to time. Mainly in terms of finding the legendary infernal weapons before they fall into the wrong hands."
Shantae: "You need some help with saving the world? That's all you had to say. We'll gladly assist you!"
Sky: "Shantae!"
Shantae: "Fine... we'll gladly assist you... as long as it doesn't cut into our vacation... because we didn't come here just to do more work. Deal?"
Pirilika: "Deal!"
