Domestic Malleus Headcannons

Notes:Gn reader, started out as some self-ship rambling and ended up as headcanons on yours and Malleus's married life. Reader is said to be shorter than Malleus(I mean, who isn't.)

🐉When your foreheads touch, you can feel his frontal scales against your skin. It's warm.

🐉Forehead kisses. Since he's really tall, it's pretty easy for him to reach anyone's forehead.

🐉Back hugs, especially resting his head on yours.

🐉He was touched starved so he's very clingy when he's finally comfortable with you.

🐉He cannot go on more than a day without you.

🐉He does small acts of service. When you mention you need something, you are 100% sure to find it somewhere obvious the next day.

🐉If you're a morning bird, he'll try to align his schedule with you. He's a night owl, but he'll do anything to spend more time with you.

🐉Purrs(and snores) REALLY loud.

🐉He will start waltzing with you at random moments. Doesn't matter if there's no music, he'll simply summon a violin and let it play.

🐉Tries to help around the house as much as he can, although it often ends up with the toaster or another electronic on fire.

🐉When you talk, he makes sure you're both at the same eye-level, be it by picking you up or crouching down.

🐉LOVES to tease you.

It had been a long day of political meetings, and Malleus was tired. After his advisors finally agreed to let him go, he teleported straight away to his chambers. He gently let down his crown, and it felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Everywhere else he was a king, in here he simply Malleus. That was the effect you had on him.

Speaking of which, where were you? normally you'd be waiting for him in your favorite armchair, doing whatever hobby you liked doing. But today, you were nowhere to be found. He won't deny it, he might have been caught in a bit of a panic when he realized you were missing.

Hurriedly, he opened all of the doors and he pulled back every curtain. They all lead to nothing but emptiness. Then, he noticed there was still one room he hadn't checked: the bedroom. His hand reached for the doorknob and he turned it slowly, trembling a bit. As he saw you asleep on the bed when he peeked in, he sighed in relief. You had been tired in the past few days.

He sat down quietly beside you and brushed a stray hair out of your face. With a soft smile, he reached down and kissed your forehead before laying down and cuddling you. Yes, the life as a royal was hard, but at least you had each other.

You have a strict schedule and you're obligated to stick to it under the yelling of your instructor. ⚡If you hadn't gone through your mother's training before, you probably wouldn't stood a day under his supervision. ⚡The best part, though, was when it was clear he has taken you under his wing like some sort of big brother. ⚡He would bring you your water bottle(in a tsundere way, but it's the thought that counts) and he would stop you when he knows you're pushing yourself too hard.

Malleus Draconia x reader

note: Reader is referred to as MC and will always be gender neutral unless specified otherwise.

MC  yawned as they tried drifting the tiredness away. They had spent all night playing Twisted Wonderland,  their favourite game, and it was really starting to affect them. Yet, they couldn’t help but click on the next chapter.

They were dying to see the next appearance of their comfort character, Malleus Draconia. He showed up so scarcely, MC was barely able to wait for his chapter to come out.

Their eyelids were becoming heavy, and their head was quickly toppling over. Before they knew it, MC was falling into a peaceful slumber.

Malleus was walking alone, as always. For a hundredth time, he had missed orientation. After welcoming the freshmen, he had swiftly slipped away to his only form of salvation.

He sat on a bench near the abandoned dorm and started to read. He had read that book so many times, he practically knew every word by heart.

The book itself wasn’t even that good, but it was the main character Malleus was oh so hopelessly attached to.

He could only imagine what his comfort, MC, was like. Their voice, face, eyes, the image in his head could never get them quite right. Nothing could ever match the pure beauty they were  radiating.

Malleus got out of his daze when he noticed the lights in the Ramshackle’s windows.

“Strange...” He thought. The dorm was not usually occupied. why were there people in it?

MC couldn’t believe it. They just fell asleep, only to wake up in an entirely different place! Instead of their room, they were in a coffin! It didn’t take long for them to realise they had arrived in Twisted Wonderland.

As for now, they were lying on the Ramshackle floor, having a crisis on what to do. On one hand, they were in the world of their dreams, but on the other, the main character went through a lot of trouble.

A certain dragon prince also crept in their mind as they got up(tripping a few times) and reached the window. They looked for any sign of him, but he was nowhere to be found. They thought about going out there to search for him, but they decided against it. After all, what would they even say? “Oh hey, I come from another world where you’re a character in a video game and i am also very much in love with you”? Yeah, no.

They’re just going to sleep for now.

MC shuddered. If their calculations were correct, they would be meeting Malleus soon. They would probably asphyxiate upon seeing him.

As a matter of fact, they felt like they were asphyxiating right now.

It’s time for a walk.

MC cursed against themselves, shivering to no end. “Why didn’t I think to bring a coat!”

“Hello, Child of a man.”

MC screamed squealed, turning to see the horned man in the flesh. They shivered once again as he eyed them up and down.

But despite his cold appearances, he was internally distraught. The person he was looking at with a piercing gaze resembled to MC in an almost disturbing way. The same angelic voice, face, and deep, beautiful eyes. He saw so much wonder in them.

“Uhhhhh, hi?” they spoke hesitantly.

This human was obviously scared of him, but it felt different somehow?

“Did you need anything? MC squeaked because Malleus hadn’t said a thing since he startled them.

-Oh, I was just wondering what a student was doing, roaming around at night.

-W-well, nothing special. If anything, I should be asking you the same question, hehe.”

The prince’s eyes widened in surprise. No one had ever spoken to him that way.

“N-not like there’s anything wrong with you being out at night, I was also just taking a little walk to get my mind off things, MC continued.

-Very well, I was also taking a walk.”

MC breathed in relief. He didn’t seem angry. Their eyes searched around for something to focus on instead of his beautiful face. They noticed a book in his hand.

“ So uhm, what are you reading? they tried to break the ice.

-This? It’s a book I’m rather fond of.

-What’s it about?

-The main character, MC, goes off to find a goal in life. On the way, they succeed to find love, friendship, and many other things.

-Huh, that’s funny.

-What is?

-MC’s also my name.”

Malleus was in stupor. So this person really was the character of his book! He was overflowing with excitement, but he contained himself. He couldn’t make a fool out of himself in front of them.

“Yes, what a funny coincidence.”

Months had past, and the bond between the two grew exponentially. They met up often at night, and talking to each other for hours on end.

So, on a frisk night of February, MC knew they had to tell him.

“ Hornton?” they spoke up quietly.

They were walking near the library, snow falling from the heavens without a sound.

“Yes, Child of man?

-I... I need to tell you something.

-Of course, tell.

-Okay, so, you may think we met just a few months ago, right?”

Oh, how could they even start telling him?

“ Well actually, I’ve known you way before that. you see, I come from another world. In that world, this place, Twisted Wonderland, is a video game. And... And you are one of the characters I preferred.”

Insecurity crept in MC’s heart as Malleus did not respond. He just stared at them blankly. After a while, finally, he started to speak:

“ Do you remember the novel i was reading when we first met? And how the protagonist held the same name as yours?

-Yes? What about it?

-I believe you actually are them.”

Now, it was MC’s turn to be silent.

“So you’re telling me we were each other’s favourite character all along?!

-It seems like so.”

Malleus stepped closer to MC and took their hand.

“And you are as wonderful as the book said.”, he kissed the back of their hand.

Red took over a flustered MC. They yelped in surprise and then proceeded to faint, making the thorn prince very distraught.

“ Child of a man? CHILD OF A MAN???”

More about the Au: Before getting to the point where Pomni arrives to Twst, we gotta expose the backstory

So Kinger and Kaufmo are best friends until their second year, when Kaufmo overblots, because he knew something about Caine nobody else knew about and it drove him crazy. During the battle, Kinger is forced to use his unique magic against his best friend. It traumatizes him to a point where he's not very sane anymore and refuses to use his unique magic again.

Fast forward a year, Pomni arrives to twst. Caine lets her stay free of charge cause he's kinder than Corwley. Instead of Ace and Deuce(no canon characters in this AU) they meet Ragatha and Jax. They break a chandelier cause Jax's an ass. They have to go in the mines to find a replacement magestone.

There, they meet with Kaufmo's overblot monster, which they defeat yada yada.

So, during the rest of the year, they beat the overblots in that order: Zooble, Ragatha, Kinger and finally Jax. During that, they learn more about Kaufmo(especially during Kinger's "chapter") and Caine's machinations and why Pomni arrived in Twst.

He usually keeps a straight face and appears dull, like a doll. Uncategorized Trivia: ❄His unique magic and magic in general manifested as early as six years old. ❄When he was eight and his brother five, he nearly killed the latter by sending a ray of magical ice through his head. Alec(his brother) has no recollection of it, but it stuck with Noel his entire life. ❄Was homeschooled from the beginning, but his parents stopped any contact with others than themselves unless absolutely necesary after the incident. ❄Received an invitation for both NRC and RSA, but he declined RSA and went to NRC instead. Will transfer to RSA during his third year, after reuniting with his brother. ❄His parents are dead. ❄Nicknamed Monsieur Fantôme (Mister Ghost) by Rook and Snow Crab by Floyd.
